Kennedy
Hello and welcome to this episode of Kennedy Saves the World, where Jimmy Fayl and I love to recycle our outfits. Every Monday.
Jimmy Fayl
We do.
Kennedy
Jimmy, what's the weirdest thing you've ever had in your mouth?
Jimmy Fayl
You remember the band Chumbawump? I'm kidding. Remember the lead singer from Chum?
Announcer
Stop it.
Jimmy Fayl
It's a hell of an opener. I once ate bugs with you on live tv, so I'll answer the question. Question. Seriously, was that.
Kennedy
Was that the night Trish Regan did like a seven minute video of herself? And she goes, can you top that? And I said, yeah, we're eating bugs. And she's like, no, seriously. I was like, yeah, we're eating bugs.
Jimmy Fayl
Yes, cuz. Yeah, I remember that. And. And Trish, who couldn't decide if she wanted to be an opera singer or a. What do you. What is that thing called?
Kennedy
Translator.
Jimmy Fayl
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She. Ah, man, I want to think of the term. She was like burlesque. Do you remember when. Remember the one night of Trish when she came on and she looked like she got paid in singles?
Announcer
Yeah.
Jimmy Fayl
Cause, like, one night she sang like, opera.
Kennedy
I was like, oh, my gosh. Like, I felt deficient. I was like, do I have to go see a surgeon and get.
Jimmy Fayl
It was God bless America. But then the next night, I remember that. I was like, apparently a new contract pays in singles. What's going on? Well, that's an interesting look. But we ate bugs. That was the weirdest. Why?
Announcer
Can you top it?
Jimmy Fayl
What do you have? Is anything weirder than bugs? Bugs is weird.
Kennedy
I've eaten some. I've. I've had some weird, weird stuff. I've had so many species.
Jimmy Fayl
Oh. Like animals and snakes and stuff. Really?
Kennedy
Yeah, I've eaten snakes. I've. I had a pot of boiled entrails at a Japanese restaurant. Ooh, I did. I'm not proud of this. Well, I am proud because I was the only adventurous one at the table. I did drink giraffes. Semen. Yeah.
Jimmy Fayl
Tell us when you're rolling. Okay.
Kennedy
And that was just part of my admission here.
Jimmy Fayl
Yeah, you know, that's.
Announcer
That's the.
Jimmy Fayl
That's. That's how you got fired from Barnum and Bailey for the circus. She was doing so well. She was doing so well.
Kennedy
What's a country you've not been to but you really want to go to?
Jimmy Fayl
I want to go to Japan.
Kennedy
You've never been to Japan?
Jimmy Fayl
Never been to Japan.
Kennedy
Oh, you. You will love Japan.
Jimmy Fayl
I've heard it's gorgeous. I've heard it's really clean.
Kennedy
So I think when, when Lincoln goes to school here in a few weeks, you and Jenny need to make a point like three times a year because you're going to be empty nesters and you, you have to fill the void somehow. Travel is a great way to fill the void.
Jimmy Fayl
Go do things.
Kennedy
And let me tell you, I, you know, like, I hate to spoil the mystery. They come back like a lot. Like a lot more than you think they do.
Jimmy Fayl
I know.
Kennedy
Like I tried so hard to turn Pele's room into a gym. And she comes home and my bike is once again in the living room. And I'm like. And she brought out like what are these snow boots doing in my room? And I was like, oh, you mean the storage closet. They come back.
Jimmy Fayl
Yes, they do. There'll be a good amount of traveling this fall because I have a lot of standup to do in the fall and the spring and the winter and everything like that. But we will take a few of those trips. I'm actually going once we drop link it off college. We're going to Jackson Hole.
Kennedy
Oh, amazing.
Jimmy Fayl
Just to go hang out.
Kennedy
I feel like this is the year of your. Your westward expansion.
Jimmy Fayl
Listen, I've done a lot of it. I like it though. It's one of my favorite place in the world is to get off the grid where there's mountains. Like I was in Lake Tahoe for summer vacation. Tahoe's amazing.
Kennedy
Isn't it? Beautiful.
Jimmy Fayl
It's the nicest place in the world. God, it's every one of those roads.
Kennedy
Millionaires have homes there.
Jimmy Fayl
Yeah, it is true.
Kennedy
Stunning.
Jimmy Fayl
Where we were in Emerald Bay, like Elon Musk had a house down the block. You know what house is there in Tahoe City? The house from Godfather 2. Oh yes. It's right there in Tahoe City. What are we talking about? The boathouse where they whacked Fredo.
Kennedy
Can you drive by it?
Jimmy Fayl
Yeah, you can't get like inside it.
Kennedy
So I don't know if people know this about you. Maybe they do. If you listen to Jimmy's radio show, you know all of this. But you love going to like famous homes and childhood homes. Yes. Like you origin story in Norfolk, Nebraska. But you did go to Johnny Carson's childhood.
Jimmy Fayl
Yeah, I went to. I went to the house he grew up in. It was 130 miles from my show.
Kennedy
That is.
Jimmy Fayl
But I still got off the plane. I want to go back. Yes, we did in Dixon, Illinois. Do you remember that? That was amaz. So I've been to Chuck berry's house in St. Louis, which is very much a roll them up biohazard shower. Hey, Chuck Berry was into streaming before. A lot of artists were. That's a lot of people don't know. That song was originally called Johnny P. Good, and they made him change it.
Kennedy
Yeah, he was real into water sports.
Jimmy Fayl
He was a big fan of the Summer Olympics.
Kennedy
Stand up paddleboard. Was he ever pissing on people?
Jimmy Fayl
All right, there it is. Okay. They don't call him the number one guitar player for nothing. You know what I mean? But hold on a second. I love going to those origin stories. I went to Mickey Mantle's boyhood home in Commerce, Oklahoma, where he learned to play baseball. That mattered. Chuck Berry's house went to Johnny Carson's boyhood home. I also just went to his Point Doom mansion in Malibu, which is on the market for $110 million right now. We tried to talk him down to 98 million. They would not bite. They would not bite.
Kennedy
I'm surprised Kamala and Doug didn't buy that.
Jimmy Fayl
So where they are, by the way,
Kennedy
is that billion dollars had to go somewhere.
Jimmy Fayl
Yeah, they're in that same. Yeah, exactly. Because she was only in the race 107 days. She blew a billion and a half. Yeah, that's very hard to do a lot of scratch. Where is that? I would like to know. I think I figured it out. It's down the block from Johnny. Did they say here's Commie? Like, for Kamala, here's Commie?
Kennedy
She wishes.
Jimmy Fayl
But since we.
Kennedy
I would love to be a communist. Don't go anywhere more. Kennedy saves the world right after this.

Jimmy Fayl
You know where I went when I was just out in California? I went to Reseda, to the Paradise Apartments where Daniel Larussa lives in Karate Kid. They're still there as is. Like, the pool is right there in the middle of the carpet. It's actually like the exact same place that it is in the movie.
Kennedy
So basically, your adult life is just. It's all set around reliving Your childhood. Have you been to the Alamo yet?
Jimmy Fayl
Of course. I'll be there August 15th for stand up. I'll be at the Empire Theater and I will go back to the mo.
Kennedy
Oh, that's amazing.
Jimmy Fayl
One of my favorite places ever and the home of maybe one of my favorite sound bites in TV history. We were doing the Five, you and I. You know the story. Someone asked, what movie prop would you want more than any other if you could? You said, pee Wee Herman's bicycle. And then I said, you're out of luck. It's in the Alamo in the basement. Because that's how the movie goes. And Geraldo Rivera famously goes, the Alamo in San Antonio. And we go, how many Alamos do you know, Geraldo? Have you ever heard someone go, remember the Alamo? And someone goes, which one? Yeah, which one?
Kennedy
We talk about the one in Baghdad, the one in Poughkeepsie. I don't know. There's a few. It's a chain.
Jimmy Fayl
But travel is the best. And it's so good for your brain and everything else.
Kennedy
Amen.
Jimmy Fayl
Yes. Because you go, you look at the world through an alternative lens for a little while.
Kennedy
Yeah.
Jimmy Fayl
And it's good. It's good to snow globe your existence and shake it up and put it back on the shelf. And that's, I think, the value of that.
Kennedy
When you travel, you imagine, what would your life be like if you live.
Jimmy Fayl
Yeah. Could you live here? I do that all the time. On the road, I do that all the time. And the only place I'm certain I could live is the Delta One Lounge at jfk. I could live there every time I'm there. Like, I can live here. This is like a masseuse. There's food. It's crazy.
Kennedy
Jimmy, do you want a facial or a massage today?
Jimmy Fayl
It is so over the top crazy. Do you know? So they just opened the new Delta One Lounge in lax. It is not nearly as nice. Like, it's nice in its opulence and the offerings, but it doesn't have that sprawling vibe. The JFK one has couches everywhere.
Kennedy
It's ridiculous.
Jimmy Fayl
So it's like everybody's got couches and coffee tables and a spread out vibe. I got there for my flight to the west coast with Jenny and Lincoln like three hours earlier to just hang out and chat. And it was glorious. The LAX one is a little more cramped. Yeah, it's nice, but it's lax. And LAX is from the rental terminal four.
Announcer
Yes.
Jimmy Fayl
From the rental car to the actual. That rental car. Shuttle to the terminal was 44 minutes.
Kennedy
That's why.
Jimmy Fayl
That's insane.
Kennedy
I fly United when I fly out of lax. And now, because I don't have a car in Los Angeles anymore, which sucks, I still don't have a house. So I get off at Terminal 1 and just walk across to Terminal.
Jimmy Fayl
It's actually smarter. And you save a lot of time. Save so much time because that bus doesn't move.
Kennedy
No.
Jimmy Fayl
I feel so bad for that guy. So this is what happens. Okay? So travel works in the Fayella family. Lincoln plays a game when he's traveling in any form of public transportation. Where the game is, someone says the word penis, okay? Now whoever's turn it is to go next has to say it louder. Okay? So, like, Link gets on the bus. He's like, penis. And now you have to be like, penis. You know what I mean? You have to up it. But what we didn't know in the rental car trip from LAX to the thing being 44 minutes, we're now screaming like the bus is laughing. And I'm like, jenny's not owning it. She's not contributing to this. She's looking the other way. I'm like, jenny, let's go. You're up, babe. Come on, Jenny. Hey, tell her. Sir, can you tell her she's up on the penis game and she's crying. Not from laughing, like, she's so embarrassed. But that's what we do, Travel. It enlightens you and it enlightens those around you.
Kennedy
I mean, I still love the story about Lincoln going to the grocery store his entire childhood, asking if he can either, A, please get something for his birthday or the dog, or B, can we please feed the dog?
Jimmy Fayl
Please? Just once. I just want to feed the dog. He's so hungry. And a woman gave him money. She goes, hey, kid, tell your dad to feed the dog. Gave him $20.
Announcer
That's amazing.
Jimmy Fayl
Don't pay him. The dog is. You're not fat. My dog. I have a fat beagle.
Announcer
He's fast.
Jimmy Fayl
That's so funny.
Kennedy
Yeah, Beagles and French bulldogs.
Jimmy Fayl
They love each other.
Kennedy
They love the food.
Jimmy Fayl
Oh, our doggies get along famously. They're good buddies.
Kennedy
I have to bring Lemmy back over so Bixby can bark at his wiener.
Jimmy Fayl
He loves that. Nothing like a good wiener bark. You know the best part about them? Because they both so stupid together, they're
Kennedy
screaming penis as loud as they can in their own way.
Jimmy Fayl
Penis. So hold on. I don't even know who started it, but the first time they hung out at my house. We had to put a comforter over Jenny's curio because they were barking at the dogs in the mirror. Like, literally. Second, by the way, there's two dogs over there. What? I don't know.
Kennedy
Did he me?
Jimmy Fayl
This is our bike. These guys, we had to cover the curio because they wouldn't start barking at themselves.
Kennedy
That's how smart they are. We were two people. Genius dogs. All right, Jim, we gotta wrap this up.
Jimmy Fayl
Epic.
