Foreign. Welcome to this episode of Kennedy Saves the World. The weather, at least here in New York it is finally getting warmer. It it's been a little moody. Got warm, then got freezing cold. Now it's getting back up into the high 60s, low 70s. So that means we are getting into karaoke season. This is definitely karaoke weather. Our associate producer Dana Perino sent a topic this morning that we absolutely jumped on because I love karaoke. In the past I've done a segment called Kenidoki at the Young Americans for Liberty Summit, which has been in Orlando the last few years. We have done karaoke at the end of the conference and it is always very well attended with an enthusiastic group of liberty lovers. People love karaoke, but there are some songs you should avoid and there are those which are absolute crowd pleasers. That's what I'm trying to focus my list on today. Now in the past I have gravitated toward some that are great sing alongs, which is what you should be aiming for at karaoke. A few years ago with my friend Hannah Cox, we did Taylor Swift's the Man. Turns out, not a great song to do when it's mostly men in the room. They don't want to sing along to that. But Mr. Brightside, always a massive hit. I saw this first at Young Americans for Liberty. I've actually interviewed Brandon Flowers and then last year at Mom's weekend. Mr. Brightside is the closing song in one of the favorite bars on campus. Of course, only for students 21 or over or at least if their ID says that. So Mr. Brightside's a really good one if you need a good duet. Summer Nights from Greece yes. And yes, people, you know, it's not just for Gen Xers. This is one of those songs that has made its way cross generationally and has been embraced by the Youngs. And I approve of that. Africa is another one. Weezer fans might have thought that the band wrote it. They covered the toto version. They're both essentially the same, but Africa is a good one and that is a good mid range song. It's not too high. I love Like a Prayer because that can be a great sing along. It does get on the higher end of the range, but that's a nice one. Country Roads I could not believe at the Yale conference the number of people in their early 20s who knew every word of this. The great thing about karaoke, the reason people can sing along even if they know the tune but don't know the words and they can look up on the screen and see the lyrics highlighted as they come up. Country Roads is an absolute great one. It was funny. It played at Yankee Stadium this weekend. We went to Friday and Sunday's game and on Sunday it was freezing cold. So there were a lot of people sort of milling around the concourse. Country Roads came on and no one knew it, but I was singing along to every single word. Don't go anywhere more. Kennedy Saves the World right after this, another one that is a classic that got new life thanks to Darius Rucker. Wagon Wheel. That's a great karaoke song. And if you know people from North Carolina or Johnson City, Tennessee, they will want to sing along as well. Wagon Wheel. That is an epic karaoke song and that is one if there. If I go to a karaoke night, no one's singing after leg of prayer. I will, I will throw that in there. Hit me with your best shot. So right here, the greatest thing about Fox News podcasting and Fox News radio, you never know who's going to be in the building. Nick Shirley is here today. He's the one who uncovered that massive fraud in Minnesota. And you know, just scratching the surface, he stumbled upon billions and billions of dollars in fraud, talked to people, whistleblowers who had been covering the story for years and had been widely ignored, but his reporting really blew the lid off it. The guy's obviously got a karaoke go to and his also an all time classic. Billie Jean. Yes and yes, because you can sing, you can dance along. Matt, who is one of the team leaders here at the Kennedy Saves the World podcast, he says queens don't stop me now. I heard that at the starting line at the beginning of the swim at a triathlon I did a couple years ago. I will love it forever. Piano man, indeed. Billy Joel. This is. This is his song. Even if you don't know any other Billy Joel song, people tend to know every word to p. Piano man and they want to sing along. American Pie. It's a long song, but at the end of the night, if everyone is almost passed out, they'll want to. They'll want to be serenaded by something that has quite a few verses. Fools rush in that just tugs at my heartstring every time I watch Crazy Rich Asians Amish Paradise. And I would add any Weird Al song to the list because Weird Al, he is a curator, he is an editor, and he is one of those people who not only is the greatest parody musician of all time, but he keeps it tight and bright. Love Shack is on the list. Love Shack Baby, I would say Love Shack is a little bit more of a successful karaoke song than Rock Lobster. It's fun to listen to, fun to dance to. Not as fun at karaoke as Love Shack, but here you go. This is a comprehensive list of songs that you can take into karaoke season. Practice them now. Wow your friends. If you are on Spotify, just pull up the lyrics, sing along, learn your favorites. So when you go to karaoke with your friends, you can impress them. Because you don't need the lyrics. You've already got them. And you know, maybe you've got a few dance moves too. That's what Kennedy Saves the World does for you. Not only does it save your world, it enhances your karaoke. So now you can go into your favorite karaoke capsule or bar or bachelorette party and you can woo them with your moves and your know how and the list that we have put together for you. Of course, if we have left anything off, I'm sure there's a song or two that we have overlooked. Go ahead and leave it in the comments. That is what we are here for.
