In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and snap. Did you know that the very first assembly of photographs in sequential order to create a motion Picture was a 2 second clip of a black man on horse?

Hi, this is Mark Kermode. Thanks for downloading this Kermode on Film podcast. This episode is the first half of the March 2026 MK3D show, recorded this time at the BFI IMAX. I'm joined by two brilliant guests. First, I talked to Edgar Wright about what's called the physical media release of the Running man on DVD and Blu Ray, and about the films that influenced him. After that, I'm joined by Amrasanti, who talk to me about her recent series Smiller's Sense of Snow and the upcoming thriller Billion Dollar Spy. So sit back, relax and take a front row seat, or should that be a back row seat at MK3D live at the BFI IMAX. Enjoy. Hello, everybody. Welcome to MK3D. This is our header 111. This is our 111th show. The very definition of a ripple of applause. Thank you for that. Look, we've got a fantastically packed show tonight. Before we get into our guests, who are fantastic, quick announcement. My Feral Heart, which we've talked about a lot over the years on MK3D, is celebrating its 10th anniversary and there is a screening which is on Monday 30th March in BFI South Bank. If you haven't seen it, you know, buy yourself a ticket. It's such a wonderful film. And as I said, over the years we've talked about. I think I've introduced it on BFI Player, Nick. Yeah, on BFI Player. But it's wonderful. So if you get a chance, go and see it because it's a fantastic film. So the last time I was here, obviously we did a whole series of shows here in the bfi IMAX when NFT1 was being refurbed. And then the last time I was here, it was to do an introduction to Edgar Wright's brilliant new adaptation of the Running Man. It was the IMAX premiere of the Running Man. Well, that is now coming to physical media. Let us remind ourself of the Running man with the trailer on the biggest screen in Europe. Ben Richards, 35, married, one child in medical crisis. We need money for a doctor now.
