We'll have all this and more because this is kind of Funny Games Daily. Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kinda Funny Games daily for Tuesday, February 25, 2025. I'm one of your host, Blessing Adioye Jr. Joining me is the nitro rifle Andy.
Andy Cortez
Cortez going on this camera moving.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Ah, we're trying things.
Andy Cortez
We're trying moving. Oh, we're out of focus there.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I like when Kevin has fun with the gym. You know, let's get experimental.
Andy Cortez
Okay. I like that. Good morning. Bless morning.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
How's it going? How you feeling?
Andy Cortez
I'm doing great. I had a good night. Good night. One of Steam Next Fest.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I saw that. I got jealous because I saw you went live on your stream playing the Next Fest demos, and I had a bunch of demos just, just downloaded ready for me to play. But I. I keep getting busy. I keep being busy after work. Right. Yesterday was one of those things where it's like, I gotta go home. I gotta. I gotta watch wwe.
Andy Cortez
Of course.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I gotta watch Monday Night Raw.
Andy Cortez
You gotta be busy to stay busy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Exactly. And then, you know, the night's gone. The night's gone after that ends at 7:30. And then I played a game with Barrett. Can't talk about the game. But me and Barrett played games.
Andy Cortez
I did hear Barrett yelling. Yeah. And I was like, is Barrett streaming? And I was like, I know what.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
They'Re doing is me and him having a good time.
Andy Cortez
I made a mistake though. I didn't know that the Wheel World.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wheel World, Real World.
Andy Cortez
I didn't know the Wheel World was available as a demo.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
So like I. I downloaded. I.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What was that game? I probably called Ghost Spike.
Andy Cortez
Ghost Bike. Yeah. I reacted to all the Annapurna Interactive thing. I was like, cool. A lot of neat things. Obviously the ID at Xbox thing had happened as well. I watched the Lies of P Trail, the story trailer, super excited about all of it. And then I downloaded a bunch of demos and I was like, I didn't even download Wheel World, but I downloaded a little while ago. Played it for about 15 minutes.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh yeah.
Andy Cortez
This is something I'm going to.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
With how many? We should talk about this now. I was going to save it for Gamescast. We might.
Andy Cortez
Sure. I mean, it's up to you.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
So like, what do you. So I downloaded a bunch of the Annapurna demos because I got the press release that was like, oh, here's all the games he talked about during the Annapurna showcase. And I was like, oh, these are games that are very up my alley. So I downloaded the demos to I believe to a T wheel world. Uh, what's the other one? One Wander. Stop.
Andy Cortez
Oh, I didn't know there was a demo for that either.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, there's a demo for that one as well. So I downloaded those. I've not booted them up yet. Okay, what have you gotten? What have you downloaded? What have you played?
Andy Cortez
I played the demo for Haste, which is Haste is the game that you've seen on. I'm trying to filibuster as I'm grabbing the link for it, but Haste is the game that you have definitely seen on Twitter all of the time. Haste is one of those indie type of games that like, you know, indie devs love doing the threads of show off your, your indie game and what in, you know, one gift or whatever and you've definitely seen Haste before. It always looks like, like what Sonic needs to be. It's just a fast running character.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh yes, I've seen this.
Andy Cortez
And they're flying through the world and then, you know, and the mechanics of it super fascinating. The ui gorgeous, but it's a roguelite and I don't know if that's what I want out of it. I don't know if that's what I want out of it because I don't know if it works with what it is. Right. I kind of feel like it just needs to be either a racing game or something. But like, I don't know. The, the not everything. The core idea is awesome. It's just kind of everything around it. I don't know if, you know, you stop at like a shop and then you talk to the dude and you buy like an item for the next run, but then the UI map pops up and then it's the coolest UI you've ever seen. Like, look at this shit, at the way this UI looks. Can you, can you rewind like just a little bit? Kev? Yeah, right here. Like, like all the visuals look fantastic, awesome. And when you're playing it, it feels great to kind of play it. I just don't know if it, you know, I don't know if I'm super sold on the Rog Light idea because then that map pops up and you inscription style pick which way. Do. Do I want to go the boss path. Do I want to go a path to buy a new upgrade or whatever. But it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I love how they literally have like big rings that are sonic rings.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. But the momentum of. Of all of it feels really, really damn cool. And I think that that's. I think it's got a really neat core to it, for sure.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Also, I think I lied. I don't think I got the to A T demo. I don't think that has a demo. I did download Skin Deep is the one I think I was thinking of. Oh, right, right. This is in a. Yeah, this is an immersive first person shooter. If I'm reading from the Steam page, right? It says, uh, let's see, we got. It says we got sneezing, we got things. Oh, I see. We got sneezing, we got things getting stuck in your feet. Stalk through a vast nonlinear starship and sneak subvert and sabotage to survive this stellar sandbox. You're outnumbered, outgunned, and have no shoes. Welcome to Skin Deep. I forget if this was one of the ones that you. You had checked out before.
Andy Cortez
No, this is not one that I had downloaded or played or even heard of. This is just kind of one that I saw on, I think Blue Sky. Just seeing that it was kind of like immersive sim, you know, fun immersive and craziness.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And that automatically is like one of those things where as soon as I see like stealthy immersive sim, choose how you want to play type games, immediately I'm in. I think I saw George tweeting about it saying, yeah, if you're an immersive sim person, you gotta check this out. And it was part of the Annapurna thing. And so I immediately went to download the demo. So I'll give that a check out sometime soon.
Andy Cortez
Art style looks kind of interesting. Kind of reminds me of like void bastards. Yeah, you know, big void bastards. Maybe it's the space, but who knows.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What else you check out.
Andy Cortez
I also checked out a game called Tales of Fate, which is so early you can tell that this is kind of like a just a proof of concept type game. Tails is spelled T. A I L s like that. Of course, a little, little pun, right?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Are you playing as a little animal?
Andy Cortez
You're a little. You're a little fox.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Your little guy, your little gu.
Andy Cortez
Who's shooting air. You know, it's got like the Dodge and all that stuff of a side scroller Metroidvania, but you're not melee combating. You are like ranging. And the art style is super awesome. The art style reminds me of Just like an old Super Nintendo game and. And then the world will pull the. It gives you like a pulled out view and suddenly you have kind of an overworld map where you are walking around as your little guy and you talk to like an NPC and they'll be, look, check this out, look at this. It's that I love this. The top down view is so cool. The character art is great. It, the art reminds me so much of a Super Nintendo game. I, I like a, I've made mention it reminds me of like Lion King on Super Nintendo or like one of those old sort of licensed Disney games. But it's so early you can tell that you know, UI is not even 30 finished when you hit the end of the demo pops up with the support us on Kickstarter screen. Like it is very, very early on. But I think what it has so far is really cool and promising. I love that. That's a little game called Tales of fa. Very, very cute. And I plan on playing more throughout the week. I don't know if I'm going to be streaming all of them, but I also played Shotgun Cop Man.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh dude, I played that too. We got the like a code early before they even announced the game. That was like, hey, there's a new game coming from the developers of My Friend Pedro, which is a game that I remember. I remember looking forward to My Friend Pedro because it was a cool ass like 2D action game. Played it a bit and I was like, okay, I love the energy of this game but also I don't know if it's like blowing my skirt up. This isn't like necessarily like my favorite game ever. Just because the year we got My Friend Pedro, I think we'd gotten a lot of those types of action games. But I played a little bit of Shotgun Cop man and let me tell you, this game's fucking awesome. It is you with a shotgun. You're a little too D guy, right? You're a cop and you are using your shotgun essentially to like like gain momentum. And so if you shoot it, if.
Andy Cortez
You shoot your shotgun, how you jump.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You know, it's how you jump, it's how you like dash left and right in the air. And so you are essentially like trying to manage killing the enemies around you. Very like think about, think of the pace of like a Hotline Miami type of thing, right? Like you are shooting around you to like dash left and right and to jump in the air, but also you're trying to take out bad guys at the same time. It's not just a shotgun. You have pistols and other weapons as well. And very fun, but also very weird and kind of quirky in terms of, like, its art style and its dialogue and what it's doing with its world.
Andy Cortez
Everybody in the chat was like, this is such an Adult Swim style kind of 1000%.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You look at this guy's face, and it's like, what the Is happening?
Andy Cortez
Yeah, you are. You're Shotgun Cop man, and you're going to hell to arrest Satan. And when you arrive there, you're like, I'm coming to get you, Satan. And then Satan pops up. He says, you Shotgun Cop Man. It sticks his finger out. Now the man. My brain had such a tough time with this one because everything's opposite. You're playing inverted, essentially. So wherever you want to jump, you have to aim the opposite way to shoot. So if I want to jump to the top right, I have to aim to the bottom left to shoot.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And that was because then if you want to shoot, you have to aim the way you need to shoot. Right? Like, if I want to. If I want to jump to the right, top right, because there's an enemy there, you aim bottom left to blast yourself up there, but then you still gotta aim at the dude to shoot him. So it really kind of. It was. It was breaking my brain. And I hope that they add a. It would probably defeat the whole purpose of the game, but I hope they add a. An accessibility feature that lets you, like, aim wherever you want to jump and then your character just does the opposite. Yeah, it would help me out a lot, you know, because they. They have an accessibility feature that shows you the jump path. So there's, like a line that you. There's a little option that you go into the accessibility options. You click that little jump path, and it shows you where you would be jumping if you were aiming that way and if you did shoot that way. And I really hope that they add the option to. Man, it was really with my brain, I could not play this game. I was so terrible at it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Andy Cortez
It was like rubbing your belly and tapping your hat.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It really is. But also that worked for me so well where, like, my brain was locked in on the thing, even though it is a challenge of. All right, cool. Yeah, I want to go right. I'm going to aim left. But for some reason, my brain just clocked it and I found myself. It felt like I was John Wick at some point. So, like, just like, narrowly dodging two gunshots by, like, shooting my Gun downwards, then shooting to the right, to the left, because I want to go right. And then like landing on top of a guy while shooting down on him. Like that just clicked in place for me. And I can't wait for this full thing to come out because, like, I can see myself losing time to this game.
Andy Cortez
It's got those fun sort of super meat boy platformer vibes.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
I think early on I felt really, really awesome and good at it. And then once the level started getting a tiny bit more complex, it just completely broke down. Like my head did not want to function in this game. And I kept on getting the screen where he just has, I die. That's how he proclaims that he's dead. Oh, yeah, it was a fun time. So, yeah, there's a lot more Steam next Fest demos to look into. One called Core Breaker.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think I've heard of this, which.
Andy Cortez
Is one that looked really fantastic. There's a lot of Breakers. Apparently the Homie Creed in the chat was like, yeah, there's also Rain Breaker.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Hyper Light Breaker.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, there's Hyper Light Breaker. But Core Breaker has a really neat art style and that's one that I want to check out as well. Mecca Break. I really want to try out. Mecca Break. Here's Core Breaker. Right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You played Mecca Break before though, right?
Andy Cortez
Yeah, yeah, that, that. This is like their brand new sort of demo. But again, I just. Look, man, I'm a sucker for a really good pixel art style. When you can. When you have an art style that just is so easy on the eyes, you know, I love this sort of art style and this has that sort of rogue light that every game studio is doing, but it just looks fun as hell killing a bunch of enemies. Yeah, looks really, really fun. So I want to check that one out as well. But I also plan on playing more Wheel World. Wheel World.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wheel World.
Andy Cortez
I have to say it like that every day.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Real World. Have you booted up yet or.
Andy Cortez
Just earlier this morning, but after 15 minutes, same, just kind of biking around, I was like, this. This seems kind of Zen. And yeah, this is what you would.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Do in Real World.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, this is what I expected.
Blessing Adioye Jr.

It's time for some news. We have seven stories today. Oh, Baker does it.
Andy Cortez
He brought it today. Kevin, you brought it man.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Starting with our number one. Only one of them.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, only one of them.
Kevin Coelho
You were so close, blessed to not bring it up.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But then I saw 80 turn. I was like, okay, well now I gotta say something. Story number one, Xbox has officially delayed Fable to 2026. This is Tom Ivan at Video Games Chronicle. Microsoft has officially delayed Fable's release to 2026. Xbox Game Studios head Craig Duncan announced the news on the latest official Xbox podcast. Quote so I just want to start with really, really excited, really excited about progress, really excited about where Playground are, he said. Quote we previously announced the date for Fable as 2025. We're actually going to give Fable more time and it's going to ship in 2026. Now while I know that's not maybe the news people want to hear, what I want to assure people of is that it's definitely worth the wait. End quote. Accompanying the news of the delay, Microsoft shared some new Fable pre Alpha gameplay. Quote I have unequivocal confidence in the Playground team, Duncan continued. If you think about their history and legacy for Forza Horizon, the last two games, critically acclaimed, 92, Metacritic award winning, beautiful, played great and just what they're bringing to Fable as a franchise, just think of the Visuals of what you expect of playground games, plus amazing gameplay, British humor. Playground's version of Albion, so, so inspired by what's gone before with the franchise, but their take and quite frankly the most beautifully realized version of Albion you've ever seen. So really excited about the plans and really excited about the future and I want, I want the community to understand that we do these things for the best of the games and the teams and ultimately that results in the best games or the best game for the community. End quote.
Andy Cortez
This is fantastic news. Yeah, yeah, I, I to have a game that you know that's going to be that large get delayed a full ass year into 2026. And honestly, you know, I've always been kind of excited about this new Fable. It's not something that I'm like holy, like this is going to, you know, this is the one that we're all waiting. This is nothing's GTA 6 levels. But in terms of like holy. You got to mark your calendars for when Fable comes out of. It's always been one of those. Those first trailers looked awesome. The tone of them was great and silly. Yeah, I'm going to be, I'm going to play the hell out of this new one whenever it comes out.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Do you have a history with Fable?
Andy Cortez
Renting them, playing them at friends houses? Not like I don't have this big affinity for Fable, but I think what excites me the most is probably my recent playing of Kingdom Come, Deliverance two or even something like Avowed where just watching that pre alpha footage and watching the character walk around these different landscapes and also these different towns like oh, I, I want this, I, I want that, I want this tone that we've already seen in the trailers where it's gonna have that sort of cheeky British humor, but having that tone kind of surrounded in little towns here and there that I, I really want this experience and the fact that they are willing to delay also 2026 or 2025, way too packed as it is.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Way too packed even for Xbox. I think it's already way too packed.
Andy Cortez
Absolutely. So like this makes the most sense possible. I'm so happy that they made this choice. Where are you at with the bus?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, I mean I'm similar to you where I think bringing up a valid is a good point of. I don't think Since Baldur's Gate 3 there has been like a fantasy game that I look at and I'm like, oh, I need to be in that world. I want to be in that world. The trailers for Fable.
Andy Cortez
Elden Ring. Really disappointed at you right now, by the way.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean, that came out before, I guess, the dlc, but I'm not counting the deal. It's really fucked up because Elden Ring came out before. Did it come out before? Yeah, it came out before Baldur's Gate 3.
Andy Cortez
I don't even know who you are right now.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Okay, listen. All right. Shout out to your tree. Different conversation. But I look at the trailers to Fable, and I'm like, I want to be in that world. Like, there's something that seems charming from those trailers that we've seen already. I'm. I've had even less of a history of Fable. I have. I have pretty much zero history with Fable. I've. I've known about Fable from, like, hearing people talk about. Talk about it online, hearing friends that have played Fable talk about it, but.
Andy Cortez
Like, it's got that lineage, you know?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, it's a game that has history. It's a game that has lineage, but it's one that has escaped me, and I. I'm very excited to possibly make this next Fable, my first Fable, because for what everybody talks about with it, it seems like a fun game. It seems like one that people have a connection to. I like. I like games that let you go in and kind of define how you want to be as far as if you want to be a good guy, do you want to be a bad guy, do you want to come in and just, like, fucking piss everybody off? Or do you want to. Like, how do you want to play this game? We're putting that agency into your hands. I love that kind of rpg. And also, again, just from the trailers, there is something that hits different, I think, about the way they're presenting it, the way that it looks, the way that it, like, the way the world looks, the way the characters look. I like about. I have so much respect for about as a video game, right? Like, I think it does a lot of great things. I think there's a lot of writing in there where I'm like, damn, y'all are in your. Duffy is Obsidian. But avowed the trailers never really spoke to me in a way where I was like, oh, I like, man, I got to be in this. In this world. And I think part of that is because we get so many games in, like, these kinds of fantasy settings a lot nowadays, right? Like, fantasy is big. D, and D is big, right? Like, I think. I mean, RPGs are big, right? Like, we get so much of this nowadays that I Think to stick out and to, you know, be something that I think hooks people in and engages people on that level, you got to do something that. That feels different. And yeah, I think Fable, so far with the way they're presenting it in the trailers is hitting for me as far as, oh, I want to play that video game.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, the. I mean, we know that Fable comes from that lineage of that player choice and player agency, and we know that. You know, I feel like it was before Mass Effect came out, kind of the do you want to go renegade or Paragon sort of style of game that I would always hear people talk about or I'd read in magazines on Game Pro magazines or whatever. But, you know, to be able to have that with this newer polish with this newer film on it, the game looks freaking gorgeous. We know what Playground is capable of. We know what they can do tech wise. And we've seen, you know, it just in those small glimpses that this is going to be. I think this is going to be something really special. Yeah, I'm very excited for this video game.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I want to bring in some super chats. One from Gondor's Condor, who writes in and says, how much does Fable's delay actually hurt Xbox? And I mean, to that I'll immediately answer, I don't think it hurts them at all. Right. Like, I think this is honestly a good thing, especially if you Expect Outer Worlds 2 to come out later this year. I don't expect. Here's the thing. If Fable were to come out in 2025, it would have came out late in the year and that's the same time Outer Worlds 2 is slated. I don't think you need both those games launching in this at around the same time, especially because you had a vow already come out this year. And I think that does a good job of planting that fantasy RPG flag in the ground. I think Fable, in terms of what you slated out as Xbox, might actually really help you to bolster your 2026. Because this year alone you have. You had a vowed. Right. You have Doom, the Dark Ages coming up. You have slated. Even though I think it'll get delayed anyway. But you have Outer Worlds 2 coming out. Right. Like there are.
Andy Cortez
So you do think Outer worlds too will get delayed.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Okay.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean, I'll believe it when I see it.
Andy Cortez
Sure.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think for some reason it gives me the vibes of like, there's no way this is coming out this year. It feels just too soon. But I would love to be proven wrong because I fucking Love Outer Worlds too. And I. I think it coming out this fall would actually be great for the pacing of Xbox because. Yeah, having a vowed out February, having Outer Worlds 2 out later in the fall, and then having Fable out the year after, I think that is excellent timing on all those things. But yeah, like, I think right now you're in such a good place as far as consistent releases as Xbox that you don't want to. Yeah. Like you.
Andy Cortez
And good, consistent releases, you know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, Good, consistent releases. I don't think you want those things on top of each other. And I also think you want these things to come out the best they possibly can. And so Fable's going to be better by you delaying it. Delay the fuck out of it.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. And what. What sort of release date do you think? Or release window? Right. They're just throwing the blanket, 2026 on it, obviously. But what. What do we think would be a good time for this to release? We know that early in the year can always be a time for games to shine because there's not a whole lot. A whole lot out. But I feel like that's kind of been changing recently. And maybe, maybe I'm just talking about how the COVID kind of threw off what we expect from release schedules. But when I'm looking at 2026, I think, you know, whatever they're looking at, spring or summer is type of the type of release window you'd be. You would want, I think, for a game like Fable.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Well, when we're talking about Xbox's slate for 2026, I'm trying to think of realistically, what are we talking about? Because are we talking about Gears of War, E Day coming out in 2026? We talking about Perfect Dark coming out in 2026?
Andy Cortez
Perfect Dark is such a wild car that I forgot is even on the table. Holy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But like, I. I don't know if that's too soon for Perfect Dark. That game has been in gestation for a very long time. We saw gameplay.
Andy Cortez
Are these all games that Paris has on his fantasy critic?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Paris's entire fantasy critic, we're talking about right now.
Andy Cortez
It's all 2026. All right. No, Paris has.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean, somebody mentioned Clockwork Revolution.
Andy Cortez
Oh, shit.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
So I think it really. I think it does come down to what are the games that you have ready for 2026 that are actually going to release? And how can you slot Fable into that in the way that's going to do? That's going to give it, I think, the best possible outcome of how it Performs how it does. My other question is where do we put Fable as far as the hierarchy of this needs to be a banger for Xbox? Because I feel like when we're tearing things out, like you have something that is of utmost importance, I would think something that is like Starfield level of man. We want to make sure that this is our biggest release and it's great and it's all these things.
Andy Cortez
Right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is Fable one of those? Or is Fable. Do you compare that more to an avowed. Or is it somewhere in between?
Andy Cortez
I think personally it needs to be a banger because we could have had another Forza. Not to say that there aren't other smaller departments at Playground, you know, maybe getting prepped on the next whatever, you know, a Horizon game is. Forza Horizon game is. But if you are putting your. Your main team, who has made a lot of car games, really banger. Car games.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And you are having them work on this Fable reboot, whatever you want to call this game. I don't even. I don't think you call it a sequel. Right. I think it needs to be pretty high up there. Now I say that thinking about how Hellblade 2 didn't really hit with a whole lot of people and that game was like, I think. I don't know. I don't want to speak out of turn, but I. When I looked at Hellblade 2, I was like, this is. This is their big third party banger or this is their big third person banger.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh yeah.
Andy Cortez
Like, holy. This is the. This is their version of the Uncharted or Last of Us. Like we are getting the Xbox third person sort of narrative story and action adventure, whatever you want to call it. And you know, some people enjoyed it, but it didn't, you know, some people didn't like it. It didn't really. It didn't really set the world on fire. And when I think of. And now I look at Fable and it seems like Fable it really is trying to be in that little portion of. Not little portion. That big portion of. This is our big third person action adventure, massively open world narrative, whatever you want to call it. I think it has to hit.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Because I look at a game like Perfect Dark, that's I think struggled so much that my expectations are real low on it. And they showed that trailer and it looked. It looked fine enough, right? This immersive sim, sneaking around, hacking, you know, Allah, you know, sort of cyberpunk, Deus ex, that sort of thing. But I know the turmoil. It's Gone through. So my expectations are set super high for a game like Perfect Dark. What's. What's it called? Is there something.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's just called Perfect Dark.
Andy Cortez
Okay. There's something about Fable, though, that I feel like has just been being worked on for long enough. And I don't know if we've had a whole lot of stories about. Maybe I'm setting my expectations, blessed with, like, stories of studio turmoil.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Because this is why I asked. The question is, I think Fable, from these trailers and from how highly people hold up Fable, I think people are looking to Fable to be the next big triple A. It's going to be God of War levels of, like, good for Xbox. And I asked the question because I feel like the trend so far with a lot of Xbox first parties is, hey, just make. You make what you want to make, right? We're not expecting this to shift the earth, right. We got Call of Duty for that. We got Call of Duty for sales. Right now what we want is to get those consistent game pass subs and to have games that are actually consistently coming out. And like, some of them are going to be, I think, varying levels of big, vast or varying levels of, I guess, like, you know, something that's going to speak to everyone. I look at the last. Last few Xbox games that have come out avowed, great game, but that speaks to a particular audience. Indiana Jones, great game, but I think that speaks. I don't look at that as Uncharted 4 necessarily. I see that as a great game that speaks to an audience. Hellblade 2 speaks to an audience. Right. I go down the list of Xbox games and I feel like the strategy hasn't necessarily been to we're going to make something that's going to shift the world. We're trying to make games that these developers. We're trying to allow our developers to make games for their audiences that we know are going to do good and we know that people are going to like. And I wonder if Fable is going to be more so in the conversation of one of those as far as, oh, this is a thing that's made for the Fable audience. But we're not making this necessarily to break out of that wider ecosystem and like, be like the talk of the year as far as like, game of the year awards and all that stuff. I hope I'm wrong. And I'm not this is even a prediction. I guess this is more so just speculation on how to the Xbox view Fable. I hope it comes out and I hope it's a banger because I think people are looking to this one a higher regard as all these other games.
Andy Cortez
I think there's also just something about the Fable name that if you weren't really playing them back in the day, what does it mean now? And that's sort of same feeling I have for Perfect Dark. Right. You know, I don't look at these IP as anything that's, you know, we're not bringing back the next BioShock or you know what I mean? Like I think these are games that are certainly popular enough but I don't think that the larger gaming audience, the, the more casual gaming audience looks at these titles and says like holy, they're bringing back Fable. That's something I really need to hop into. I think when I look at Perfect Dark and when I look at Fable, I think that they could put different names or titles on them and I, I think they would still garner the same amount of excitement. Yeah, I don't know. I, I'm certainly excited about it. I just don't know if it will set the world on fire, but I hope it does.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, I agree with you.
Andy Cortez
I hope this is a massive release for them.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I want to bring in a couple of super chats about Fable. Volkdasher writes in and says I cannot wait for Fable. But that alpha gameplay. Oh God. It scrolled. It said for some reason it's frozen. I'm sorry, Volkdasher.
Andy Cortez
Volkdasher, it's frozen.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Do you have the super chats up?
Andy Cortez
I'm going to try to read it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, here we go. I scrolled finally. But the alpha gameplay looks like Hogwarts Legacy. Lol. Which is great because I loved Hogwarts but yeah, excited to see more. I mean I will say if there's anything you can say about Hogwarts Legacy, I think it presented well. I think that, I think that game looks good.
Kevin Coelho
Couldn't kick a chicken though.
Andy Cortez
Couldn't kick a chicken.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You couldn't kick a chicken in Hogwarts.
Andy Cortez
That sounds like something that like your grandfather tells you. Couldn't kick a chicken though. That kid. It's like a parlance back in our.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Day, all these kids.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, chickens.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
New generation that Gen Z, they don't be kicking chickens like that.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I mean so. Well most of the combat that we've seen of Fable, it looks to be all kind of melee based. I don't know if like there are some definite spell moments but in the most recent thing we just saw there was all sort of. It looked like it was all just Melee. Kevin, I don't know if you could bring that up that footage again. That's pre alpha footage that we just showed a little while ago. But I remember in the. I think the older ones. Did we see some sort of spell casting. Oh, man, I'm blanking on it because all I picture is the dude from the. From the it crowd. The it crowd or whatever you call that show. Yeah, the English dude. He's got a good cut of his jib. I like the cut of his jib. You know, shout out to the cut of his shit. Yeah. You know, Is he in the trail?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wait, why you think of this guy?
Andy Cortez
Because he's in the. He was in the first reveal.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, okay. Remember, I don't know that guy. I don't have not watched the IT crowd.
Andy Cortez
Well, neither have I. I just know of him.
Kevin Coelho
Like you should both watch the it.
Andy Cortez
I just.
Kevin Coelho
It is phenomenal.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. I mean, he's just got a funny sort of. He got a funny way of talking, but he's like that, you know, He's a very charming British dude. He's very funny. And he was in that first trailer when he was the giant.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Remember Richard IOI days. But what people are saying, he is so funny, funny.
Andy Cortez
Remember he was kind of like the Jack and the Beanstalk sort of character. He's the big giant.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yes, yes. I. I do recognize this dude.
Andy Cortez
He's got a great line delivery. There's something about British people that's like it. I feel like it's easier for them to be more charming.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You know, something about British people, they are wrong though.
Andy Cortez
I. I think they're playing with house money. Like. Like it's, it's. They got to do less to be charming because all you got to do is like be Simon Cardi and go, you know. It's a bit sad. Is it? You just got to say that. And it's like, I like you, Carmi. I like you, Cardi.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
One day I'm gonna have a girl. I'm gonna never bring her around the British. You're saying in America, Babe, can we go to London? No, no, babe, we're not going to. We're never going to London.
Andy Cortez
Never. You'll play Bloodborne and that's it. Yeah, exactly.
Blessing Adioye Jr.

And we're back with story number two. James Gunn confirms talks with NetherRealm Rocksteady on new DC games. This is Cade Onder at comic book DC Studios head James Gunn and Peter Safran have confirmed talks with Rocksteady and NetherRealm on brand new DC video games. A big piece of James Gunn's DC efforts revolve around a cohesive universe across film, TV and gaming, which hasn't really been done before. James Gunn hasn't really offered any specifics on what this could look like yet, though it may mean more games that continue the story from the movies or run parallel rather than retell them like a movie tie in game. However, it sounds like things are actually in motion now. James Gunn and Peter Safran spoke to the press at a recent DC Studios event that Comic Book attended and shed some light on how things work in the G sector. The two confirmed that they've met with Injustice developer NetherRealm and Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady about future DC projects and how they consult on these different games. Quote, we work incredibly close with JB Pet, who runs that division, said Saffron. Quote, it's really the first time it's ever been done this way at Warner Brothers. James and I sit with the guys that run the studios under JB. Whether it's NetherRealm or Rocksteady, we sit with them and we talk about characters and stories that we're interested in and that they're interested in, end quote. Quote. We see designs for the projects in their very early state, earliest stages, said gun. We talk about those, we talk about what the story might be, and we'll say, well, you maybe. Well, we say, well, you. Maybe you want to go this way because we're planning on maybe doing something with this character, end quote. As for when we'll actually begin to see what the video games in the DC DCU look like, GUN confirmed that it will be a couple years from now. Andy James Gunn, he's walking in another realm. He's rocking. He's walking into Rocksteady.
Andy Cortez
He's like, yo, stay in your lane, James Gunn.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Thank you. Because that's where I'm at. James Gunn, let Rocksteady cook. Because imagine, this is what I imagine.
Andy Cortez
If they want to have Peacemaker eat an egg sandwich. And in your TV show, it's, you know, decided that Peacemaker doesn't like egg sandwiches. I don't give a, you know exact they want, you know, See, this is.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Where I'm at, right? I'm Rocksteady, okay? And I put out Batman, Arkham Knight in 2015, and I start getting to work on my next game. Oh, it's Suicide Squad. Oh, man. WB wants it to be a Live service game. All right, let me do this for a decade. And then you put out the live service game. You're like, oh man, that flopped. All right, well, I guess we'll work on our new original Batman Arping game. Then James Gunn walks in the door and is like, hey man, we're making movies over here and your shit's going to connect to our shit. If I'm rock steady, I'm like, get the out, man. Let's just let us do us, I think let us do our thing.
Andy Cortez
I mean, you're preaching right now, you know, I'm listening. I'm in the, I'm in the crowd, like cheering along with you. Bless this. I mean, it seems like a nightmare to even try to synchronize things. That doesn't seem like a possibility. I think if there were any sort of tie ins, it would have to like, it seems like a nightmare to try to coordinate when games take. Nowadays this level of game would take around five to six years of development time. That's just too long. And if you.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Because there's gonna be delays, there's gonna be. Your Video games are such a tumultuous medium of we don't know when this shit's coming out. James Gunn, you can make, you can knock out a movie in a year and a half, right? Like you can put out a movie at such a quick rate and like you have plan, have like you have the dream, James Gunn. I believe that you can make that dream happen in movies. Video games, I think are just so weird and different and like volatile and your plans are going to change as you go for the movies. But like, it's not going to be as easy to turn that ship on the video game side. And I, the thing that I'm fascinated about with this is, all right, you're going to rock steady. You're talking to them about and trying to coordinate like, okay, what are we doing? What are you doing? Whatever. What does that conversation look like with NetherRealm? Because I imagine that means that NetherRealm is probably working on the next injustice you imagine. And does that mean that, you know, you're giving recommendations or like you're, I guess you're giving communication about, hey, these are the characters we're going to be focusing on in the dc. So maybe, maybe you want, you might want to put some of these characters in your game.
Andy Cortez
Maybe do an egg salad, an egg sandwich reference.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, maybe you reference the fact that he's making lots of egg sandwiches in your game. That I kind of get and that I honestly like. All right, I can see it. The thing where I get nervous about is like, if it gets even deeply, if it gets even deeper integrated than that of, hey, use our Batman. Like, we don't want you use your Batman. Like, use our Batman. Because we want to really push this. Batman is the Batman. I don't think, I don't think it'll go that far. But if it does, then this shit is cooked for me.
Andy Cortez
A game like in a sequel to Injustice or whatever netherrealm could be working on is a lot easier to integrate whatever the DCU is doing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yes.
Andy Cortez
Than something like Rocksteady making a video game that. Where it's so easy to break canon. And I think if you are a fan of the DCU and you are a hardcore, you know, follower of it, then you're gonna have to accept that there will be so many inconsistent things in the canon.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Because there's no way that you can keep track of all of these things when even on the MCU side where there hasn't been been any game tie ins, but there's been like TV shows and stuff, doing all sorts of different things. And even there, it's getting kind of unwieldy. And for about 10 years people are going, what about that goddamn celestial in the. In the ocean? Or I guess it was only since Eternals came out, but still, you know what I mean? Like, those questions were non stop popping up and like people were being annoying about it. Trying to coordinate with a video game. I let me ask you this. How many times do you think there, there will be a reboot of what the next Batman is within Rocksteady? Like they're two years into development. I could see them being like, this isn't working. Let's. Let's scrap it. Let's restart. Like that happens at studios. Because not only do you have to try to coordinate on what the story is, but if you don't feel the gameplay is working out.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
You don't feel things like they could just scrap everything and be like, hey, James Gunn, things aren't working out right now. There's just, there's too much unpredictability in video game development to try to coordinate with the DCU. That's why I think with NetherRealm working an injustice game, you just got to have characters saying stuff that they said in the movies, whatever, who gives a fuck?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Right.
Andy Cortez
In something like, if you were to try to make a Batman video game, to try to, to try to have it be whoever James Gunn's Batman is going to be. I know it's not the patents in Batman. Different sort of Matt Reeves universe. It just seems like a nightmare to try to do. I think James Gunn would love, in an ideal world to have it all tie in it. It. You know. Good luck. Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I want Easter eggs, right? Sure, if you want to make a reference to. Oh, yeah, this Batman thing is happening right now. Like, so we made a reference to a character or a reference to the egg sandwich. Like. Like throw all the egg sandwiches in this.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But like, maybe. Maybe. Let's not go too much further than the egg sandwiches.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I. I agree with you. I don't know if you can, you know, legitimately tie in and have the actual character. Hey, this is David Corn Sweat or whatever the new Superman is.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, this is.
Andy Cortez
That's his character in the. In the game. We are making a game about that Superman that just.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Or even like, oh, you can't use this Poison Ivy, because we're using Poison Ivy in the movie and she is tied up with the thing. And so, like, now the pool of characters gets kind of, like, weird of. Okay, but you can use. What's his name? Dr. Freeze. Mr. Freeze. Mr. Doctor.
Andy Cortez
What is his name?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Freeze, PhD.
Andy Cortez
Freeze Man.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Freeze Man.
Andy Cortez
What's his name? Is it Mr.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Freeze? I think it's Mr. Freeze. You can use Freeze. This is why Greg Miller should be here. He looks like a doctor.
Andy Cortez
He does. You're right. He gives me doctor vibes.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That means you're right.
Andy Cortez
He's the one guy that's, like, he looks like he studied.
Kevin Coelho
Doctor. I think he was a doctor, Right.
Andy Cortez
Oh, nice.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But, yeah, you can use the Freeze Man. But, like, you know, Poison. Poison Ivy and Joker, ah, they're currently. You know, they're. They're. We're working on the movies. So, like, I think that just gets weird.
Andy Cortez
But it's a cold, cold town.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We'll see. Story number three. We have even more teases of Tony Hawk's pro skater. I want to start off with an Instagram post from the Hawk himself. Tony Hawk. No, this is actually the. Never mind. This isn't from Tony Hawk. This is from Tony Hawk of the Game account. But it's a picture with Tony Hawk in it. It is him. It is a bunch of people who. I should know the name. That's Kareem Campbell, for sure, right there.
Andy Cortez
That's Eric Costin to the right of Tony.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's Ron, left.
Andy Cortez
And that's Rodney Mullen far left.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Rodney Mullen's the coolest dude, Steve Cavalier.
Andy Cortez
Holy. Oh, damn.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
So you got a lot of people who are, like, in the old Tony Hawk games, right? A lot of the classic skateboarders that, you know, it's them standing in front of the March 4th sign. And yeah, the Tony Hawk game tweeted out loading new parks March 4, 2025. Of course, teasing seemingly a trailer or an announcement happening on March 4th. Here's the thing. I saw this and I was like, is it dlc, though? That was my first thought of, like, when you say loading new parks. Are we just talking about dlc? But additionally, yes, from Noble. It was tweeted out today. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 Plus 4 has been rated in Singapore for Xbox One, Slash Series, PS4 Slash 5, Nintendo Switch and PC with the release date of 2025.
Andy Cortez
We can't talk about this too much because Tim yesterday had a moment of self realization being like, we've talked about this for way too long. I'm so excited. But, like, I even. I know that this is way too much Tony Hawk talk. The Hawk talk.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I agree.
Andy Cortez
Crazy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'll talk about Tony Hawk all the. Every. Y'all lucky that this wasn't story number one, because I thought about it.
Andy Cortez
Can you bring up that photo again of all of them, Kevin? Because let me just say Eric Kosson, he's got a. You got a little set of caterpillars on him. I love his eyebrows. Look at them. Caterpillars.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah, he does have.
Andy Cortez
I love. I wish I had dark eyebrows. I'm gonna. I may tattoo my eyebrows.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You like. You want darker eyebrows?
Andy Cortez
I want dark. I want really darker. I like the shape of my eyebrows. I don't like the lightness, the. The thickness or the. The hair density of them.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Have you thought about.
Kevin Coelho
There's a type of makeup. I'm not good with the makeup. The one you put on your eyebrows, that darkens it. Yeah, how about doing that first?
Andy Cortez
But I always, you know, I'm. You know, I'm always, like, scratching my eyes.
Kevin Coelho
But I'm just saying, like, before you commit to something long term, maybe.
Andy Cortez
Maybe I just asked the tattoo artist to, like, tattoo in singular hairs so it's not just a full darkening color. Maybe it's just like a little couple of hairs here and there where I feel like they would fit.
Kevin Coelho
Yeah, I think microblading. Somebody just said that in the. In the twitch.
Andy Cortez
Microblading.
Kevin Coelho
Yeah, that's what they come in and they, like, do little tattoos.
Andy Cortez
Is that what it's called?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Andy just invented microblading.
Andy Cortez
I didn't know that's what microblading was. I thought microblading was like a totally different process.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think I saw a lot of like tweeting about it.
Andy Cortez
Oh shit.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
She did. She does that.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And like her eyebrows constantly look great. So like. Yeah, that might be the move. I don't want to read into this. Read into this too much. Oh, see?
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No, you should get microbladed.
Andy Cortez
Thank you. Thank you.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
You think we could get kind of funny to pay for it?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean, if me and you do it together? Because I now I want to do it. If me and you do it together, then talk about it on Cotton KF podcast. I think, I think for sure that.
Andy Cortez
Video would get at least 13,000 views.
Kevin Coelho
We just, we figure out a way to like shave your guys eyebrows, like as a prank or something and then to make up for it, you know what I mean? It's like microwave blading.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That'll fix it. I'm not even risking shaving my eyebrows for content. See? Absolutely no way.
Kevin Coelho
Blessing, not understanding. It's not for content. It's to get the free micro. Microblading.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But like, don't you have to have hair there first before you get.
Kevin Coelho
Not according to this one image I just pulled up where someone's accidentally shaved or maybe purposely shaved. I. I don't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Well, let me research it. Yeah, I'm going to do a lot of research.
Kevin Coelho
It's fine. I'll just surprise you.
Andy Cortez
Greg, can we get our eyebrows tattooed for money? Well, I don't know how much the process costs, Greg, but it'd be something that like we would hope kind of funny would pay for. Yeah, but we would make a stream of it. We would, you know, go to the doctor together.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Me and Blessing IRL stream and talk about on the KF podcast.
Andy Cortez
Microblading.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. You know about microblading?
Andy Cortez
About microblading?
Greg Miller
I know of microblading. I don't know what it is exactly.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Apparently you do it to your eyebrows.
Greg Miller
You tattoo them.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. What is that in your bowl?
Greg Miller
I'm eating pasta because I'm about to go like record all day and I'm starving so I'm having lunch. I'm a real streamer, you know, not eating on stream, you know, what up? So is it a tattoo or is it a doctor? Because you said a doctor.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Well, it's a tattoo like the doctor that tattoos you.
Andy Cortez
The tattoo, your eyebrowsing of how much?
Greg Miller
We don't know.
Andy Cortez
Probably. Yeah, probably cheap. Probably like 20 bucks.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, 20k.
Andy Cortez
Thank you.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Greg, again, not to read into this too much but I do wonder if this is going to be like a thing that drops on March 4th because something about just the promotion of it like Tony Hawk standing in front of the. The thing that says March 4, 2025. Like of course a big announcement to get a Tony Hawk game. Right. If it is going to be three plus four. But like something about it makes me think that we're going to get something on that day. Yeah. I don't want to hype it up too much. I don't want to get myself too excited.
Andy Cortez
I think they're. Look, I, I think my thing is when they first show off the website, they tease the website.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
3, 4, 25. And we're like oh, 3 and 4, that's Tony Hawk 3 and 4. They are gonna announce.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I didn't think about that.
Andy Cortez
Oh really? That's. I didn't think about that, man. You should have been on the games Daily with me with Tim then.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Because I'm not supposed to be a.
Andy Cortez
Three hour games because I prepped the.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Games dailies but I'm not actually. I didn't actually listen to them.
Andy Cortez
Oh, gotcha.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Which is why I'm down to, to dive into this because I'm not like I've not been overstimulated yet by the Tony Hawk talk. So talk to a Tony Hawk to it.
Andy Cortez
When that website pops up I'm like on that day there's going to be an announcement. But now I'm kind of closer with you where I'm like maybe that's just the day it happened. Yeah. I don't think it just feels like.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
A lot of hype for the date.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I feel like when you, if you get Tony Hawk out to do a photo shoot, you do it for the release date.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'm just saying.
Andy Cortez
Yeah man, you're. You're kind of.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'm just saying I should have done.
Andy Cortez
This show with you instead of Tim.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
They do look at me as the Tony Hawk guy for sure. At least number two after Tim story number four. Silent Hill 2 remake. Dev is working with Konami once again on a mystery game. This is Eddie McCook at Gamespot. Bloober team and Konami are staying in business together following the successful launch of the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024. The Polish developer said today that it has signed a deal with Konami to make a quote new game based on Konami's IP. End quote.
Andy Cortez
Rocket Knight Adventurer.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Whoa.
Andy Cortez
Nice.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Bomberman 6. There's no word on what that IP is. However, Bloober Team CEO Peter Bobbiedo said in a statement that the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. He added, quote, we can't reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are, end quote. As for when Bloopers Bloober Team's new game may be revealed, Bobby Eno said it will be, quote, when the time is right, end quote. It was also confirmed that Konami will be the publisher and rights holder to the game, whatever it might be. This makes sense, of course, given that the game is based on a Konami ip. I mean, I think the easy answer might be more Silent Hill, but, like, the way they're talking about it makes you think it's a different ip.
Andy Cortez
Nah, it's got. It's got to be Silent Hill. I don't think there's any way that's on another Silent Hill.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean, it makes sense.
Andy Cortez
We go back to big one, you know, which.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Which one would be the one people want, though? Because Silent Hill 2, I think, was like the one to remake.
Andy Cortez
It's either one or the Room or whatever that game's called.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
The Room. Silent Hill.
Andy Cortez
The Room. I think it's like silent hill 4. The room. Isn't it the. The. The. Is it 3? The room.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Listen, this is what I'll say, all right? Fuck all this Silent Hill business. Make a new Castlevania. Like, let's get the streets what they want.
Andy Cortez
Oh, man.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Let's get the streets with it. Castlevania Symphony of the night 2. Just think about it.
Andy Cortez
Just think about it for the room, okay? Four. Four is the room. It's got to be Silent Hill.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It makes sense if I were a.
Andy Cortez
Betting man, which I'm gonna be right now. Pizza bet. Kevin, play the sounder.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I love that. This is the thing that consistently works.
Andy Cortez
Silent Hill one.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Silent Hill one. All right, Andy's saying it. I'ma say it's gonna be a different ip.
Andy Cortez
Damn.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think it's gonna be something outside of Silent Hill.
Andy Cortez
What do you think, Guitar freaks?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'm looking at the bar, man. Yeah. What do they got up in there?
Andy Cortez
They got a lot of DDR.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Well, it's not gonna be that.
Andy Cortez
That's covered. They got God dang Beat Mania. We stop the music.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Probably.
Andy Cortez
It'S still good.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Something tells me that Kevin's pressing the button right now and it's not turning off.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I have a feeling there's a mass panic in there.
Kevin Coelho
No, no, no, no, somebody had just moved the the gif that says pizza bet and I had to find it and move it back.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What did Greg just give you?
Andy Cortez
I just got a mess message. Greg just walked up with his food once again. But I got a written message on a paper towel.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Let me see that.
Andy Cortez
It says you're handsome.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, that's nice.
Andy Cortez
I don't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Can I see that? I've been meaning to wipe my nose this entire show. Oh, there we go. That feels good.
Andy Cortez
That's really messed up for you to do. To Greg's kind message.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Thank you for that, Greg.
Andy Cortez
Thank you. If that was from Greg, thank you. That's very nice of you.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Somebody in chat says bless. Just be saying. And I got to tell you, sometimes that's what the show is. I just be saying. I don't know what the blueber team is doing here. You're probably right there. Yeah, it's another silent hill.
Andy Cortez
It's crazy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Just think about it.
Andy Cortez
It's crazy. Plus scrolling through their wiki because in 2099. Not the year 2099. In. In. In the year 99 and the year 2000. Like there's so many DDRs. Holy cow.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Andy Cortez
Second mix. Third mix, Euromix True Kiss Destination. Oh, no, that's a different game called Dancing Stage. They have a game called Sexy Parodius.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Can you look that up for me?
Andy Cortez
It came out in 1996. The plot, Takosuke and Pentaro recruit various characters for an agency whose main goal is richest, power and world peace. Oh, I don't know why it's called sexy. Whatever.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, no, that title doesn't match that description. Oh, Greg just handed me a thing.
Andy Cortez
New message.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean, I already wiped my nose and need another paper. Okay, well, he gave me a note that says Andy's handsome is what it says.
Andy Cortez
I need. I need Greg to keep focusing on Tim. I don't need this.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is Tim here? Tim did come in, so yeah, it can't be that he's not here.
Andy Cortez
I don't need a shift. That happens. He's bored. Yeah, maybe he's just kind of walking around eating his food.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, he came in here like 10 different times. I don't know if you noticed this Sexy Parodius.
Andy Cortez
Here it is.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Sexy Parodius.
Kevin Coelho
Oh, look at the cute ass. Penguins. Wait, this is a little pig.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Man.
Andy Cortez
This is the Konami game.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I don't think that says Sexy Parodius. Can you scroll up? Yeah, I think it just says sexy. Oh, no, you're right. Yeah, you couldn't tell when it was scrolled down like that, it looked good.
Kevin Coelho
Yeah, you could. It says you could see Erodius and then a letter that mostly looks like maybe a Y.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Okay, here's what happened is that I thought it was a Y. I missed the Y.
Kevin Coelho
And then you're like, oh yeah, sexy Eurodius.
Andy Cortez
That's what I thought.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I was like, I think that's sexy.
Andy Cortez
Sexy Parodius, you idiot. Fool.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's sexy Erodius. Fucking dumbass.
Kevin Coelho
Why did you mention. Why'd you mention the haze? Huh?
Andy Cortez
Sorry. Talked about the smoke machine Story number.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Five Quantic Dream says it's unaffected by Net Ease layoffs and studio closures this is Tom Ivan at vgc. Quantic Dream has has become the second Net east studio to release a statement this week confirming that it's not been impacted by recent cuts to the Chinese company's overseas games business.
Andy Cortez
That's unfortunate.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It was recently claimed I gotta stop.
Andy Cortez
David Cage Kidding. I'm kidding.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It was recently claimed that NetEase plans to divest itself of the majority of its overseas teams, potentially leading to the closure of more than a dozen game studios. While a tech giant has stated that, quote, all studios and projects are in constant review and evaluation, it is also denied suggestions that recent cuts to some overseas teams are part of a wider change of strategy, insisting that it is not wavered in its global expansion plans. On Monday, the Nete studio, headed by former Control lead designer Paul Eric, released a statement confirming it has not been affected by any studio closures, adding that it remains full steam ahead building its debut game. A similar statement was released on Tuesday by Guillaume de Fondomier, the CEO of Detroit Become Human and Heavy Rain Studio Quantity Dream, which NetEase acquired in 2022. QUOTE we were deeply saddened to learn about the recent layoffs in studio closures affecting some of the NetEase Group's divisions. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted and we sincerely hope that they quickly find new opportunities, he wrote. Quote President David Cage and I would like to express our gratitude to the fans and friends who have reached out to us in recent days regarding Quantic Dream. We want to reassure everyone that our studios in Paris and Montreal remain unaffected. We're continuing to develop our projects at full pace with several open positions available in both locations, end quote I need them to like define full pace because I've been waiting for Star Wars Eclipse for what feels like a decade. Man, I was going on here.
Andy Cortez
When was the first time we saw Star Wars Eclipse?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'm going to guess 2022. I was going to say 2020. Maybe 2021.
Andy Cortez
Was it a. Was it a pandy game?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think it was a pandy game. I'm going to say 2020. Let me say 20.
Andy Cortez
Star Wars Eclipse. Let's see here.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It was a game wars, right? It was a game awards. And I think I was watching it, I think I was reacting to it. So I'm gonna say 2020.
Andy Cortez
Star Wars Eclipse is a game being developed by quantic dream, announced December 9, 2021.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No way.
Andy Cortez
And it's been radio silent since then.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. No second trailer.
Andy Cortez
Just no nothing. I mean that trailer was just a little cinematic. Right. There was no.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Gameplay to be seen. It was just kind of.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I don't know what gameplay for this. The crazy thing is that that game could be anything. It could come out and be another like Quantic Dream style narrative game.
Andy Cortez
But I gotta assume it's probably gonna be right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But I think I first assumed it was gonna be like some kind of action thing.
Andy Cortez
Well, because you think, why would I not want to wield a lightsaber?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, exactly. Why would you make a Star wars game that's like Detroit become human? That doesn't make any sense.
Andy Cortez
Well, it could be pretty actiony. And then it also just has conversations that branch, you know, branching paths.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Hold on, hold on. I think this is breaking news. Unless somebody in chat is lying to me. If this person's lying, I need to find them and ban them.
Andy Cortez
We need a ban.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Whoa. No way.
Andy Cortez
Read it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Jason Schreier tweets out breaking. Wonder Brothers games is shutting down Monolith Productions Player First Games, NWB San Diego sources tell Bloomberg Warner Brothers is also canceling the Wonder Woman game.
Andy Cortez
Oh my God. God.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Jesus Christ. Dude.
Andy Cortez
What the fuck?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's fucking insane.
Andy Cortez
Monolith.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's fucking crazy. Hold on, I'm. I'm trying to do more digging as we go. That's fucking. Jason has a. Looks like he has a new. Oh no, this is a new article. This is old article. He's new one. Yeah. This is all breaking as a hab is. It's happening.
Andy Cortez
So everybody subscribed to Bloomberg to read Jason Schreier's article.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Hey, I mean, we'll have to talk about that, I think tomorrow because we are at the end of this show. Unless, I don't know, maybe that is the Gamescast. See, this is one of those ones.
Andy Cortez
That's one you need Greg for. And Greg can.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Greg is busy.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, Greg. Yeah. Well, let's just act like we didn't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, we're gonna cover this.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Because this is a headline. This is one that needs to be a full bulk of a show to talk about. But that's insane. Of course our hearts go. Go out to people that might be late, that are laid off. Right. That are losing their jobs. And also like, sucks to lose a project that you've been working on for a while, right?
Andy Cortez
Like, this thing has been in the. I mean, for years. Speaking of like, speaking, we were just talking about Star Wars Eclipse. I got to assume this is also a 2021. 2020 thing that was even rumored before then. Like, I feel like we'd been hearing about a Wonder Woman game since this. The. The apartment studio that we were working on, you know, not that. Not. You know what I mean? The one above the comic shop.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Like, man, we've been hearing about this one for a while as well.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
God damn, that is really, really bad.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Holy shit, Andy. We got to have a big conversation about that. But sadly we don't have the time right now at the end of this episode happening live. But if I want something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
Andy Cortez
You would go to the WE News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. I was going to do the Mama Grobshop thing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Story number six, which is now being demoted into Wii News, but it's just a rumor rumored God of war masters for PS5 could be revealed in March. That is according to reporter Jeff Grubb of GameSpot sister site Giant Bomb. So yeah, that's. That's the story. More WE news for you from Eurogamer. Activision has confirmed some in game content in Call of Duty has been created using generative AI, as spotted by Call of Duty account Charlie Intel. The Steam page for the game's launcher incorporating Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, has been updated with a new AI notice, as per the rules of Steam, quote, our team uses generative AI tools to help develop some in game assets, it reads. No further details are specified, but fans are already speculating where AI has been used. Quote we could tell lmao. This loading screen had six fingers, reads one reply. Man, oh man, you know, it's. It's.
Andy Cortez
We're cooked.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We're cooked is the thing that's like the. That's like the story of it. I was thinking about this this morning of the conversation we had about generative AI and like, the more I thought about it, the more I started to get to the doom and Gloom place of. There's no, there's no fixing this. Right. Like, this is gonna have to go to I think the worst possible place before it gets better. Right? We're gonna have to see monumental failures in this space, in the video game space of generative AI before companies start being like, ah, maybe we shouldn't, we. We shouldn't do this. But until then, like every big tech company is 1000% committed to AI. And it's kind of. It kind of sucks because we're in a place now. We've had to. We have to weather the storm and like, it sucks. But yeah, this is going to happen more and more. It's going to happen with probably most of your AAA games. So yeah, you, you put on the seatbelt. We're going through this, man.
Andy Cortez
KFG is just going to be story after story about news like this and news about people out of jobs.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We gotta have like a twist at like the end of the year where me and you are actually been AI this whole time. We're not real people. Oh, hold on. We got six fingers on each of them. Dauntless is shutting down.
Andy Cortez
No AI could ever do the, the egg sandwich joke.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You know that is true. Yeah. Come up with that.
Andy Cortez
That is genius.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Tekken 8 has sold over 3 million copies. DesPalote launches May 1 on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch and PC. That's a game I'm looking forward to. It's like an indie soccer game.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. The visual side looks fantastic. This place in Mexico looks very, very good. I do want to apologize for just doing my stupid egg sandwich joke over the other Wii news thing you read about shutting down May 29th. Crazy indie little monster hunter game. Yep.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Came out a while ago now.
Andy Cortez
It was like 2018, 2019, something like that. Maybe it was a pandy game. I don't remember.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Been around for a little bit, but I think it was kicking at first. I don't know. I don't. I've not paid attention as much to Dauntless in the last few years. But I think at first it had a big wave because you weren't seeing that many monster hunter like clones, at least like on that indie scale.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
So Rip Blueprints launches April 10th. Tron Catalyst launches June 17th. Ultimate Sheep Raccoon is coming to Game Pass on launch. Buckshot Roulette is coming soon to Xbox and Game Pass 33 Immortals launches March 18th in early access on Xbox series and on PC. It's also on Game Pass day one. The Talos Principle Reawakened launches April 10th on Xbox series, PS5 and PC. And finally, Merchant 64 launches March 31st on PC. I'm very much looking forward to Merchant 64. That's like an N64 inspired game where you're playing as a little merchant.
Andy Cortez
Oh.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
In an N64, like, RPG world, selling.
Andy Cortez
Adventures like tools and weapons and stuff like that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Looks really neat.
Andy Cortez
I also have a kind of funny you're wrong that desperately takes place in Ecuador.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's what I thought. I thought somewhere. I knew. Somewhere in Central. Yeah, South America, but I wasn't sure where. Well, that is it for we News. All right. I'm doing this new super chat thing where I'm reading them from a different place, so bear with me for a second.
Andy Cortez
Read one right now.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, read one. Go for it.
Andy Cortez
I have a super chat from Bogan Knight and Boganite types in saying that, Andy, you and Tim should go to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth concert. I performed in it when it came through Cleveland, and it was a great experience. That's freaking awesome. And I'm here to tell you, Bogan Knight, that last night, I texted Tim and I said, tim, tax return season's happening. Swipe the card. We're going to the Stamp concert. And it was under 200.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Whoa. That's exciting.
Andy Cortez
Well, because the original ticket. The original tickets were, like, 80 or something. Yeah. The resale market just gets ridiculous.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Okay.
Andy Cortez
And Tim was like, well, I didn't know you were willing to, like, want to spend that much. And I was like, 10.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Come on.
Andy Cortez
Uncle Sam's gonna be paying me well. He's gonna be giving me money back. Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Sun Lee writes in and says, good morning. Blessing Andy paying my birthday tax for the 27th on February 27th. Thank you guys for making my days easier. Also, bless. Please try the bizarre perfect game for you as a MTG slash Roguelite Psycho. I've had other people tell me about the Bazaar. I got to look more into it. I'm not sure exactly what it is. I've seen screenshots of it, and I'm like, oh, this looks different. But you're not the first person to tell me to try to try the Bazaar. And so it's on my radar.
Andy Cortez
Never heard of it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Guitar Hero Arrow. Right. Then it says, reports said future Xbox games missing PS5 at launch is because it was too late in the dev cycle. Could this delay be in part to have a PS4 PS5 port at launch? There's absolutely talking about Fable. Absolutely no way. I don't think they would delay Fable to launch day and date on PS5. That's crazy. That's crazy. Don't give me that look. It's crazy. That's nuts. No way. No way Phil Spencer would do such a thing.
Andy Cortez
I got to do the Robert De Niro look. I don't know. Bless.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Could you imagine at that point? I don't know. I just can't. Like, it's weird.
Andy Cortez
I know we've been talking off the table anymore.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I know we've been talking about how much the strategy for Xbox has changed, but, like, to change to such an extent to be like, oh, no, we gotta launch day and date on PS5. So we're gonna delay our biggest game right now. Nah, man.
Andy Cortez
Well, I don't think that's why the delay happened. Yeah, for sure. But I think it'd be totally unrelated that it still happens.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah, No, I think it's possible for it to launch day and date on PS5. I just think delaying it to launch day eight on PS5.
Andy Cortez
Oh, got you. No, I think they're just delaying it longer because, hey, we have a really solid rest of the year. Let's start off 20. Let's have 2026 set to have a banger already. Right. Let's throw Fable in there along with most likely Perfect Dark. And we're already kind of. Our 2026 is shaping up. If we delay it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And we give the devs more time. It's not even March yet. That's awesome.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah, man.
Andy Cortez
Well, we don't know the vibes of the studio. Right. I'm saying it's awesome. If the devs are like, oh, great, this is awesome. We get to work much longer. We have so much more time to polish this. There very much could be devs in there being like, oh, we're so fucked. Things aren't working out great. I don't know what's happening there, but this is still exciting to me. Kevin.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We're using, like, a different thing, like a new chat system. It paused randomly, I think, like 10 minutes ago. Yeah.
Andy Cortez
It keeps on pausing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. I don't know what's going on with that.
Andy Cortez
I don't know why that's really weird.
Kevin Coelho
I unpaused it. Hold on, let me do it again.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It says 305 new messages.
Andy Cortez
It keeps on pausing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I was what? I was like, oh, Chad's not talking. And then I realized I just, you know, they're piling up chat. Sorry.
Kevin Coelho
Fun.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Sorry. I'm giving one last look to super chats. Thing is saying there's Anything I got, son.
Andy Cortez
Lee says good morning, Blessing. Andy, pay my birthday for the fuck the bizarre. Damn, you're right. I should have looked at the bazaar. Happy birthday, Sunli.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Okay, yeah, I think we're good on super chats. Oh, we got. I'll read this last one from Volkdash, who says as a third party publisher, Fable has been in dev for six to eight years. Expensive dev and a restart in dev. This not only decides the future of the franchise, but could have scary implications for Playground. Here's the thing. You're in Playground. Xbox. I don't want to speak out of turn because of course there have been plenty of fucking studio closures and shit that have happened that feel unwarranted. If Xbox were to close Playground for any reason in the next couple of years, then that means that shit is just on fire and Xbox is burning down. Because Playground are the ones giving you Forza Horizon 5, which is a. Or Forza Horizon series, which is a very consistent guaranteed success for Xbox every time it comes out. So I don't. I wouldn't worry about Playground, but also like, you know, industry up in flames. So who knows?
Andy Cortez
Of course, who knows? I still think that it could mean layoffs for Playground if this doesn't hit, but I don't think again. Yeah, you're so right. Because it. I feel like us talking about there's no possibility of them closing down a studio. They've done that before.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Greg just walked in and he looks distressed.
Greg Miller
My offer's still good. James Gunn. My offer is still good. I can save this. I can turn this around. I can make DC Comic games matter again. All right? The suits have had. They had enough time and they fucked it up. It's over. Let me in.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Greg. Did you see the breaking news? Oh, he hasn't heard. I hate to break this to you.
Andy Cortez
That's why he's out here.
Greg Miller
What the fuck is wrong with you? Why is you don't listen.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I was thinking about the other news. I said I thought you were commenting on story number two, about James Gunn talking to the D.C. studios.
Greg Miller
Oh my God, I'm gonna beat somebody.
Kevin Coelho
Bless. I also thought that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I thought you're commenting on a different news story.
Kevin Coelho
It does sound like. Because you talked about James Gunn.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, we had a whole conversation about James Gunn. So I thought he was early in the episode. We're just listening to it.
Andy Cortez
No, WB, man.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
WB.
Andy Cortez
Goddamn monolith.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Kindafunny.com. you're wrong. Of course you can write in, let us know what we got wrong. As we got it wrong. So we can correct it. For those watching later on YouTube and listening later on podcast services around the globe, Druvinator writes in and says really quickly. Skin Deep is based off the Doom 2 engine, which is cool. Oh, Tundra says. Blessed said Rocksteady's next game after Arkham Knight was Suicide Squad, but it was actually Arkham VR in 2016. It's a good one.
Andy Cortez
I didn't know they did that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I didn't know they did that either.
Andy Cortez
Is that like.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I knew that game came out, but.
Andy Cortez
I don't think the detective one where you're just Bruce Wayne doing.
Kevin Coelho
Yeah, I think it was like an hour long, right?
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I guess I never looked at that as like an official. I just thought that was like a.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It was an experience.
Andy Cortez
There's an experience. Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But I guess they still made it.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And then Grezik writes in and says Playground Games created a second studio to make fable back in 2017. So hopefully it shouldn't affect Forza Horizons timeline.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, that's why I gotta assume there's still a good chunk of people still making the next Forza. Because Forza at this point, I mean, that's one of Xbox's not annual things, but that's a. That's a consistent. You know, that's always going to come out. We're always going to have a new Forza Horizon game. It's always going to sell really well and, you know, be critically acclaimed.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That is it for Kind of funny dot com. You're wrong. Andy Cortez
Wonder Woman got canceled. MT in the chat.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What? What?
Kinda Funny Games Daily: Episode Summary – "Fable Has Been Delayed to 2026"
Release Date: February 25, 2025
Hosts: Blessing Adeoye Jr., Andy Cortez, Kevin Coelho
Duration: Approximately 70 minutes
The episode kicks off with hosts Blessing Adeoye Jr. and Andy Cortez engaging in their signature banter, discussing recent activities and teasing the day's main stories. The casual and humorous interaction sets a relaxed tone for the deep dive into the latest gaming news.
Blessing Adeoye Jr. [00:00]: "Today's stories include, Fable has been delayed to 2026. James Gunn confirms he's been talking to Rocksteady in another realm. And even more updates on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater three plus four."
1. Xbox Delays Fable to 2026
The primary headline discusses Xbox Game Studios' decision to delay the highly anticipated Fable reboot to 2026. Hosts analyze the implications of this delay, reflecting on the studio's commitment to quality and the broader Xbox release strategy.
Craig Duncan, Xbox Game Studios Head [Timestamp 13:35]:
"We previously announced the date for Fable as 2025. We're actually going to give Fable more time and it's going to ship in 2026. Now while I know that's not maybe the news people want to hear, what I want to assure people of is that it's definitely worth the wait."
Discussion Highlights:
Andy Cortez [15:17]: "This is fantastic news. I think it's going to be something really special."
A viewer question from Gondor's Condor raises concerns about the delay's impact on Xbox's release schedule, particularly regarding concurrence with other titles like Outer Worlds 2. The hosts speculate on potential strategy shifts, ultimately viewing the delay as a positive move to maintain a steady release pipeline.
Blessing Adeoye Jr. [20:45]: "I don't think it hurts them at all. It's honestly a good thing..."
Notable Insight: The hosts believe delaying Fable prevents overcrowding Xbox's 2025 lineup, ensuring each title receives adequate attention and resources.
2. James Gunn's Collaboration with Rocksteady and NetherRealm on DC Games
James Gunn, alongside Peter Safran, has engaged in discussions with iconic game developers Rocksteady (Batman Arkham series) and NetherRealm (Injustice series) to develop new DC titles. This collaboration aims to create a cohesive DC universe across films, TV, and gaming platforms.
James Gunn [35:10]:
"We work incredibly close with JB Pet, who runs that division... We talk about characters and stories that we're interested in..."
Discussion Highlights:
Andy Cortez [38:47]: "It seems like a nightmare to even try to synchronize things."
The conversation delves into potential challenges, such as maintaining canon consistency and the extended development cycles of AAA games compared to movies. The hosts ponder the likelihood of deep integrations versus superficial Easter eggs in future DC games.
