Thank you. Yes. No, this was this morning in the gym where they moved. They moved everything.

Which honestly, the more I think about it, the more I prefer how they've set it up now where they took all the treadmills on the first floor, put them on the second floor. I'm like, all right, cool. A little pre workout to get to the actual workout.

Yeah. I missed out on that initial thing because they get. They got us review codes pretty late. Pretty late. Yeah. It was like a day or so before the actual review embargo. And then, like, reviews came up and they weren't the most positive, at least across the board. Right.

Number one while we check into that Forza Horizon 6 location leaked by car import company fans believe this is the one, the only Tom Phillips at IGN fans believe they've worked out the setting of Forza Horizon 6 based on teasing social media post from a car import company connected to the game. In a now deleted Instagram post, vehicle import firm Cult and Classic shared an image purporting to show a Forza Horizon staff member digitally scanning a car for use in the game's next series or the series next game. The post went on to state that the staff member had traveled to its premises in Australia to scan a series of key models which are unusual to find outside of Japan. And it's because of all this parentheses as well as the post subsequent removal that fans now believe Japan is Forza Horizon 6's setting. QUOTE Exciting news, the post reads. We have Cody here from at Forza Horizon official shooting cars for the next installation in the series as there are no late model. Key this is Kei. I'm saying key. I don't know cars in America. He has flown out from the States to use our cars as the basis for his digital versions. Quote we are huge gamers here at Carlton Classic and it is an honor to be supporting Forza and making key cars accessible virtually for people who can't have them irl. End quote.

Was oh well, Kirby Air Riders went up for pre order and it's $70 and I forgot that we talked about the $70 thing yesterday. It wasn't in the direct and so I was like oh, maybe it's not there. But then I remembered that we did talk about that. Yeah, I would be so down for Forza Horizon in Japan 1000%. I'm shocked they haven't gone there yet.

Yeah.

Like I forget, are you Forza? Oh, yeah. You do like Forza Horizon because Ben plays it.

Exactly. Yeah. I've always. I, you know, I was a. This is. Stick with me as a walk burnout paradise. I really loved back in the day.

Yeah.

And so then Forz never really into. And then when Ben wanted to play a game and I was like, oh, Forza. He started with Hot Wheels Unleashed 2. Loved that. But he was his first games at 2 years old or whatever, you know, he couldn't understand the control. He's like, wait, Forza's open world. So I would drive him out and he would learn to play. And now the kid could play anything because he just motored around in Forza. But then I was playing Forza and I got the DeLorean and I was, I was like, oh, man, this game's awesome.

Yeah.

So, yeah, going to Japan sounds sick.

[Greg Miller]

Yeah. Are you surprised they haven't done it yet?

[Blessing Adeoye Jr.]

Yes, always. You know, I mean, how long did it take Assassin's Creed to get to Japan? How long is it taking Forza to get to Japan? Like, we love Japan, everybody. Duh.

[Greg Miller]

Gamers love Japan.

Gamers love Japan. Put Japan and everything.

Yeah. Now do you believe this leak or. I do situation?

I mean, here's the thing about it, where of course Forza has a big roster of cars.

So to look here at the key car. Okay. Is what somebody just said K car. You look at the K brand of cars, these tiny little vans or whatever. I think that it's not beyond the realm of possibility of force. They just wants that car in the game.

And so they went and got this thing there. So that might be just what it is, but where there is smoke, there is usually fire. And I think Japan would make a lot of sense for a really cool place to go race around such a diverse landscape. Right. From going from a city like Tokyo all the way out to something Kyoto based or whatever.

My. I think the reason why I'm not as sold on it is that like, the more wishful we are about things, the more we try to make the dots connect in ways where it's like, all right, cool. So they went to. To scan the car to put it in the game. A game with so many cars across the board from so many different companies, different countries, all these things.

Right.

Like, I think it just makes sense for them to want to put this car in the game without wanting to take the game to Japan.

Sure.

But we all want the game to go to Japan. And I think it's the. The other obvious thing is that obviously they know that this is what fans want. And so we go, well, why not just do it, right? And I think I would hope that maybe it happens sooner than later. But when we go through the location so far, right, we went from Australia to the UK to Mexico, I feel like they're just picking. I feel like they're picking places that have like distinct outdoor, like open areas. Open areas.

You got to be able to drive distinct nature, right?

[Greg Miller]

Like these places where. And not say Japan. Isn't that because Japan also is that, right?

But like it's more than just Tokyo.

Yeah, yeah, I think, I think they're. They're picking places based on more than like, oh, fans think this place is cool, so let's put it there, right? Like, what are the. The criteria you pick when you. When you find a Forza Horizon location?

But I really feel like Japan has that again. I think for us gamers, we do focus so much on Tokyo. But when you think of Mount Fuji, right, When you think of getting out into these wide open. When you take a train across Japan and you're bullet training or getting out, which I've done and had the, you know, privilege of doing, like, you get out in the weeds and it's all of a sudden really open farmland, whatever. Countryside, I guess is a better way to put it. And I think that would really open itself well to having a race that starts. I mean, what. The last Forza Horizon came out a couple years ago. I feel like it can't be that far away, right? Like next year from Playground, we're getting Fable. Separate teams, I imagine, are working on it, right? As far as what I last remember when we were talking about this game, maybe the year after next year, there's also the turbulence with Forza Motorsport because of turn 10. Turn 10 in the layoffs there and everything. That's going on there. Right. Like, how does that factor in? As. As far as when they were seeing the next turn 10 Forza game, I think motorsport was more recent than even the last Horizon game. And so, like, it's not like it was next in the roster, but I wonder if there's things there as far as how you shift and move. But I don't think we're that far from the next Forza. Unless the only thing I could see is maybe Xbox holding it for a next generation.

June 8, 2025 at Insider Gaming, Phil Spencer confirms a new Forza game will be released in 2026. During the Xbox Game Showcase, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer confirmed, albeit subtly, that a new Forza game will be released next year. On the announcement, Phil Spencer said, quote, I'm excited to share that players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new fable, Forza Gears of War E Day and a return of a classic that's been with us since the beginning, end quote. In 2026, it will mark 25 years since the initial Xbox.

As for when the next Forza game will actually be revealed, remains to be seen, but we could expect announced later this year. Of course the game could get delayed, but as of now it looks like the next Forza game could come in 2020. Now again, I am not an expert. It is not. Is that the same as Forza? Is it going to be the next Forza games coming? Is that Forza Horizon? Is that Forza Open World Japan?

I don't think Forza Horizon. Right.

I would look as I look into it. Forza Horizon 5, the previous one came out in 2021. So it has been some time even though it feels like it hasn't been that long ago. And yeah, Forza Motorsport came out more recently than that. So it's Horizon's turn. The one thing I'll throw out too is regarding location is usually we get Forza in more rural areas, right? You see a lot of nature, you see a lot of grass, sea, mountains, all these things, sea, beaches. It would be interesting to see. Like yeah, what if we got a Forza that took place entirely in a city? It'd be a strong shift for the franchise. But like I, I also think that Forza is the kind of franchise that we there. I feel like they're playing the hits a lot for Forza and like they find ways to differentiate it. Forza Horizon 4 had the whole season system where you go from winter to fall to summer into the spring. Not in that order.

But yeah, I, I, I Think the thing that I then think about is, yeah, what do you do for this next Forza to try to give it its own gimmick or give it its own feel or give it its own energy. That'd be fucking incredible.

A rating has recently been spotted on Nintendo's website in the US taking it from rating pending to T for team classification. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is currently targeting a 2025 launch and the Switch 2 version will include enhanced resolution and frame rate, as well as joy con 2 mouse support. Nintendo's lineup of games for the Remainder of this year is already looking quite busy with the new Pokemon game scheduled for October and Kirby Air Riders now locked for November. Number three on the Roper Report Elden Ring on switch two drops to 15 frames per second in handheld mode. It's claimed this is the big man Jordan Midler at VGC, also known a.k.a. as Uncle Jordan. Uncle Jordan, when we went to Pokemon Worlds, he spent so much time with us, running around with Ben, came to dinner with us. Ben had all these questions, invited him to his birthday party and then he went to Disney with us the next day. All day long.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is set to debut on the Nintendo Switch 2, and this week the game is playable publicly for the first time at Gamescom, according to media who've played the game at the event. The Switch 2 port has significant performance issues, including severe frame rate drops, according to Nintendo Life's Felix Sanchez. While the game looks, quote, unquote, really good graphically, the game's performance is a major issue. The game has a maximum frame rate of 30 frames per second on handheld mode, but according to Sanchez, the game struggles to meet that. Barrett is running this in slow motion, so you have a you have artistic representation. So this is a kind of funny recreation for you. Quote it's really bad and I understand why they don't want you to see this, says Sanchez, referring to the fact that publisher Bandai Namco isn't allowing footage the game to be captured. Quote it was like playing ocarina of time. 20 frames per second. Sometime 20 frames per second. Sometimes it was like 15 frames per second. End quote Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is due for release on Nintendo Switch 2 this year, though no specific release date has been announced.

Only a little bit. I think the. Excuse me. The transition to the Switch to console gave us the hope of. All right. Can third party games play functionally on this thing? One of the things that I talked about coming off of the New York preview that me and Tim did, where we went to New York, played the Switch two when they first did the. The Direct and a lot of stuff and let us play a bunch of games.

Yeah.

One of the things I talked about was playing Cyberpunk 2077 and being so impressed by how recommendable that experience.

You said good enough. Yes, it was good enough. That you could play this and enjoy it.

I would play. Yes. That is. It is a way that I would play that game. Right? It is. Is it the most technically advanced? Is it the most high fidelity? No, absolutely not. Right. But it's a way that I would say if somebody wanted to play that game on that console, I'd be like, yeah, go for it. I think it's perfectly servable for what it is. And having that on the Go is the price you're paying for that experience. And so if that's something you want, then go for it.

Then there are a couple other games I remember Roger played. I believe it was Yakuza 0 at that event and was a little bit let down by it. I got my hands on Street Fighter. I was a little bit let down by. By that as well. And so I think mileage is very much going to vary as far as what you're getting from the third party support on this thing and how well they function. And it's going to come down to a lot of optimization. But also Elden Ring, I think is one of the. It is one of the first major, major third party dam. All right. This is one of the big ones that you're dropping from third party support on this thing. And for this to function so badly and knowing the kind of game that Elden Ring is. Yeah, it is a gigantic open world with a lot of great art direction, but then also a lot of things happening on screen between a bunch of enemies that might be popping out at some point. Point between a lot of Big vistas that you're looking out at a lot of, you know, a lot of different grand visuals that are appeal appearing, big boss fights, big boss moves. Right. That's a game that not only is meant to look fantastic, but then also needs to. I think it needs. Yeah. Needs to look fantastic and then also just has a lot of shit going on in it for that to run badly. Yeah, I think is a bad sign for the future of what big third party sport looks like on this thing. Question is like if this is where it's at now, like why, why bring it to this event? You know? Yeah, I think this might be what it's like at launch. I. One of the things that I appreciate about Nintendo and their directs and their marketing is that they will not fudge a thing. They will not show you a trailer that is not running on the Switch. We will be watching trailers being like, yo, that looks like shit. But hey, at least they're not doing the Watchdog.

I forget the name of the indie game but there was like that one indie like 2D platform, maybe Metroidvania game that appeared at the Switch 2 or maybe Switch 1 direct before the Switch 2 direct that we got where we saw the trailer. We're like, okay, looks fine. And then we saw the trailer again at like a state of play or like a sort of game fest thing. We're like, oh, that looks fantastic. Yeah, it didn't look like that at the Switch thing. Right. So I gen. I think the reason why you have it here like this is because that this is what it's going to be like at launch.

Man, that sucks. You know, I mean, I think that was, you know, when we. I made a reference in the beginning making fun of Tim because I don't do that often and I just like to, you know, once in a while I'll give him the guff.

But I remember that was when we were doing the Switch reaction things. The conversation was Tim's hype that Nintendo could have a system that could run third party games well enough like a cyberpunk and that would open the door. And so if you're going to have inarguably one of the biggest third party crossovers they're having in terms of games that are already out. Elden Ring. So many people have been excited to have Elden Ring on the go play that do all these different things. Have it run this badly is going to leave such a bad taste in their mouths, let alone expectations for what the Switch 2 can actually do when you're talking about running a other triple A game over here.

I'm also somebody who I think at the end of the day it's not going to matter that much on the Nintendo side of things as far as we're going to end up back to where we ended up with the Switch one, where the main things that are going to sell on this thing, the main reasons why you're buying this thing are going to be for the first party Nintendo games. Yeah. Do I, in the ideal world, do I want third party games to run fantastically and look great and do all this shit 1000%. Am I upset that they're not 1000% right? Like I think that sucks. But also this is par for the course. I think this has been Nintendo for the last decade and a half as far as what these things are like. So I think this is to be expected. Even though I had that little. I had the littlest hope of change.

Have that indie games here. Sure, I'll take an indie game over here because I think the Switch 2 can run that fine. But something like this, I was never going to be that person. But again, for those Nintendo people that do want to see them compete that.

Right. Like they've not had to deal with putting out an exclusive game for hardware that is admittedly underpowered compared to the other ones even I'm not counting like Steam Deck and all that.

And so like I think the challenge for them is going to be optimizing enough to where these games run great on the Switch two and function great on the Switch too. And have I, I think satisfy the what Fromsoft fans look forward to and expect out of this thing. The I'm of two minds here. One leading into Elden Ring Night Reign. I was a bit concerned with the kind of game that was mainly because it was a multiplayer first. Like, you know, Co op go out explored, like almost like a Fortnite, but, you know, Roguelite, all this shit kind of game. And they proved me wrong. Right. That game not only came out and people liked it, but also sold really well.

I think this on a Nintendo Switch system also being a multiplayer thing, like it's that same level. It has that same factor of me looking at this and being like on paper. Oh man, that's kind of rough. But then added the added elements of it being Nintendo and it being the Switch.

Nintendo not really known for having great online infrastructure. Even though with Mario Kart World, it seemed like that is a lot better now. And so if that's the case, when you're putting out the Elden Ring tarnished edition, what's gonna. What, what is dust blood's gonna look like?
