Tim Gettys
You know, I truly don't know. What did I miss? Where were you? What'd you do?
Greg Miller
I went to New York Bond. It was spring break. Yeah. We wrote in the ecto one. We had a lot of fun out.
Tim Gettys
No big deal.
Greg Miller
Went to Marvel. No big deal.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. You're sending me videos of you living your dream, and I'm just like, I don't know how. I've known you a decade and a half at this point, and somehow you still surprise me with new achievements. What I do. It's pretty damn awesome. And Ben just gets all of it.
Greg Miller
Ben gets all.
Tim Gettys
At what point are you concerned that Ben's just like, we're there? Yeah.
Greg Miller
The extraordinary real to him. Yeah. No, no, no. He's playing video games way ahead of time. He'll ask me and not even like he cares about the game anymore, but he'll be like, is whatever. I was reviewing, is that out yet? And I'm like, no. He's like, we still got it. He's like, we have it early. We have it early. Mike, my friend. I'm like, your friends are gonna have to switch. But yeah, we have whatever you're talking about out there.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. But no, I do want to give a shout out to the fact that you got to drive Ben to the Ghostbusters firehouse in the ecto run you drove.
Greg Miller
I took it around the corner there. Yeah. It was a big.
Tim Gettys
You got big deal for me. That's right.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I saw. I sent you the video. Yeah. Good stuff out there.
Tim Gettys
That's.
Greg Miller
That's a life. That's a Lifetime achievement right there. You know what I mean?
Tim Gettys
Damn Cool. Remember everybody, if you're watching.
Greg Miller
Whoa, whoa. But also, welcome back, Tim, to a lesser extent, I know you've been gone a couple days as well.
Tim Gettys
I am so excited to be back and I, I was looking at the schedule this week. These put me to work and I love it.
Greg Miller
I'm the one who made this back
Tim Gettys
to back stuff constantly.
Greg Miller
And I'm like, oh, I, I knew you wanted it.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. I got to, I got to work back up. It's going to be kind of like trying to get the muscles back, you know, like where we're at. Because it's every time I've been on the show in the last couple of months, like for the one off appearances, I'm like, I can't put words together. You know what I mean?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And it's not just like I haven't done it in that long. It's also just I'm not sleeping.
Greg Miller
One foot in, one fit out is always one fit. One foot in, one foot, foot out is hard. Where you're in dad mode, you're in family mode, you're in newborn mode.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
You're also trying to come in and do this and do the job and do all this stuff. And so it's. I understand where you're. You're a little scatterbrained getting out there. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
But I'm excited. Let's get into it. If you're watching live, be part of the show by super chatting on YouTube.com kindafunnygames remember, we couldn't do this without our producers. We have six stories today. Baker's dozen. I will say I'm upset with how busy this week is in terms of amazing content. A lot of it's redacted so we
Greg Miller
can't talk about it.
Tim Gettys
But it's like, damn, we got banger, banger, banger, gamescast. I'm a little sad because there's just not room for all the things I want to talk about. Sure, sure.
Greg Miller
What else do you want to talk about?
Tim Gettys
Star Fox. I leave and the Star Fox is back.
Greg Miller
You talked about that on Mario in review.
Tim Gettys
I know, but I want to talk about the game rumors. You know what I mean? I have an excuse to talk about Star Fox assault in any way, shape or form. I want to take it. You know, I'll read up Time rumors. I have to sit here. I'll read a Time review. And I wasn't even here for it. I wasn't either, man.
Greg Miller
More importantly, kind of funny.com sore the
Barrett
number one Zelda guy was there though.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. And that you did great. You did great. I do want to say everybody did great. I can listen to so much kind of funny content and I'm like, hey, I know what it's like to be them now. And it's awesome. Y' all are cool to listen to. Kind of funny. It's great stuff.
Greg Miller
It's, it's, it's a trip. Right? I remember that was a big thing I talked to I mean your ear off about it back in the day. But like for my paternity leave of being, I'll never forget being outside the Container Store. Like I had to go for whatever we need. It was just me and it was like that rare occasion or I broke away and just like I let the podcast finish.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Like I got it here. I got it.
Tim Gettys
Real talk. I've multiple times like went to pick up Starbucks from E and G or something and then got home, drove around the block a couple more times just to like hear blessings thoughts on whatever. I'm like, we're good at what we do. It's pretty damn, pretty damn cool. Let's get into story number one. Rockstar confirms new data breach after hacker group threatens quote pay or we leak. See. Rockstar Games has confirmed that it has suffered a new data breach after a hacker group claimed to have acquired a large amount of information from the Grand Theft Auto 6 developer. On Saturday, the group Shiny Hunters, which has previously targeted Microsoft, Cisco, oh no. AT&T and Ticketmaster, claimed that it had breached rockstar via third party analytics platform. And o not ando.ano.anodot I don't know
Greg Miller
what the hell that is. He's back, everybody.
Tim Gettys
Which is used by companies to track cloud costs, pay or leak. It wrote via the cybersec guru. This is a final warning to reach out by April 14th before we leak along with several annoying digital problems that will come your way. Make the right decision.
Greg Miller
Several annoying digital problems.
Tim Gettys
Make the right decision. Don't be the next headline. Jesus Christ. In a statement, Rockstar confirmed the breach and claimed that it would have no impact on our organization or our players. We can confirm that a limited amount of non material company information was accessed in a connection with third party data breach. This incident has no impact on our organization or our Players. Shiny Hunters hasn't said what the data of files it's obtained are related to, but potential exposure includes financial records, marketing plans, contract information, and player spending data. The Shiny Hunters group has said it will release the data stolen from Grand Theft Auto 6 developer Rockstar Games after its demands were not met. It's still not clear what kind of data was stolen from this company. First off, don't do this. Second off, I want to talk so much about this, but I'm a little scared. These threats are very scary, Greg.
Greg Miller
What do you think?
Tim Gettys
I don't want them coming after me.
Greg Miller
They're going to. Oh, jeez, dude, man. Jesus Christ. Think they're going to come in there? What are they going to find in you? I don't know. Bunch of Fast and the Furious star Fox rumors. They don't care. They got bigger fish in a fry. It sucks. This is crazy. This is crazy.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, like, this. This sounds like real intense terrorist shit. You know what I mean? Like, these are actual threats. This is not good. Very scary. Who knows what the information's gonna be, you know?
Greg Miller
Yeah, that's the thing, right? Where. What, Like, I don't just in general leaking anything sucks. And so, like, you're going in here like, obviously everyone wants to jump to the head the. The headline of GTA 6 leaked. You know what I mean? Here's all this information, but what is it actually going to be if it's not the game itself, right? No impact on our organization or our players. So it's not like the Rockstar Club stuff. It's not your email, it's not. Whatever.
Tim Gettys
I mean. Yeah, but that's also just Rockstar, like, saying that, of course.
Greg Miller
Oh, I know. I'm not saying, like, it's not like GT6 hasn't leaked before, of course.
Tim Gettys
You know, and so, like, that's the thing is, like, we're at a point with a fever pitch with GTA 6, right? And we always have it. It's a unique entity in that the hype has never waned for this project. Right?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And I don't think anything in history has ever had this level of hype overall. And because of that, it's like any information that comes out is going to be a huge deal. Right? Even if it is just a character or a name or anything. Right. A gun. And any element of this game is going to result in hundreds of podcasts. Right?
Greg Miller
Don't be a headline. Well, this is the headline.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Like, what do you mean? This is clearly gonna be that.
Tim Gettys
And then besides that it's like, yeah, it could be a multitude of actual people's information. The Rocks are saying that their team and the players are safe. It's like, okay, well, then why they're threatening you? They clearly have something.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
You know, so what do you think it is? I don't know. I think it has a lot to do with GTA 6. Like. Like that's. That's the leverage that they have that they're trying to get cash money from this shit. You know? Who has cash money? Rockstar.
Greg Miller
They're not going to do it. They don't negotiate with terrorists.
Tim Gettys
I mean, it sounds like they're not.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, good for them.
Tim Gettys
But it's like, man, can you imagine having the balls to just do this? That's crazy.
Greg Miller
Which one? To be the balls to be Rockstar and say, like, no, no, no, no.
Tim Gettys
To be the ones threatening Rockstar.
Greg Miller
Does it take balls to be the one threatening Rockstar?
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I think so.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
I think cowardly, a little, well, slimy Internet shit guy. You know?
Tim Gettys
I mean, balls aren't necessarily a good thing. You know what I mean? But it's like. It's like, it's. It takes something, but. Yeah, don't do this.
Greg Miller
Yeah, don't do this. For sure.
Tim Gettys
Don't be a terrorist.
Greg Miller
We'll see what. Actually, don't be a terrorist.
Tim Gettys
We have Roger Piccorni coming to.
Greg Miller
Roger's coming out. He's got breaking news on Rockstar. Hit me with it. What's up, Rog?
Roger Piccorni
Hey, everybody. I just want to welcome Tim back.
Tim Gettys
Thank you.
Roger Piccorni
Thank you so much for being here.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Roger Piccorni
And I want to give Greg Miller this for carrying the company while Tim was gone. Thank you so much, Greg.
Greg Miller
Thank you, Roger. I'm glad someone's finally acknowledging the strength it took by this beautiful trophy that wasn't picked up at a yard sale. Free table. I'm glad someone's finally acknowledging what I did for this company for the past three months, how hard it was to carry it all on my shoulder. That means a lot. Thank you so much.
Tim Gettys
So you got your own trophy?
Greg Miller
Yeah, another one. Another one to add. You know, I don't. I don't know where it came from.
Tim Gettys
Let's move on to story number two. Unless you have anything more to add
Greg Miller
for this GTA thing, it sucks. I'll be interested to see what I forget. I know we've been talking about, what's the deadline? It's been brewing over the weekend. Do they actually get. What was the deadline they gave April 14th. So tomorrow. We'll see what we get tomorrow out of this whole thing. What it's actually going to be. I imagine it's worse than Rockstar thinks it is.
Tim Gettys
Here's the deal, Greg. The Pizza Bat episode of Gamescast. Yeah, Fantastic stuff. Really, really good. I want to make a pizza bet right now.
Greg Miller
Love it.
Tim Gettys
Is the headline of Kind of Funny Games Daily tomorrow.
Greg Miller
Yes.
Tim Gettys
Related to this?
Greg Miller
Yes.
Tim Gettys
You think so or no? I do.
Greg Miller
So I'll take for fun. I'll do it. I'll say no. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And I'll say yes.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Cool. Let's do it. Pizza Bet everybody started off. First one back.
Greg Miller
There you go. I love it. Yeah. Update the sheets, Katie.
Tim Gettys
I think. Yeah, it's going to be GTA 6 tomorrow.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I think so too. Right. You imagine we'll wake up and it'll be whatever this was. Because even if it's just phone numbers, I don't know, a PowerPoint, it's GTA 6 GTA. It could be the GTA 6T shirt. We have the design of what the GTA, the pre order bonuses like any of that would become the number one.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, there we go. Story number two fable social media account reiterates fall 2026 release window amid rumors of an internal delay to to avoid GTA 6. This comes from Wesley Yin Pool. After a weekend in which multiple rumors and reports pointed to an internal delay of Microsoft's Fable reboot Beyond its fall 2026 release window, potentially into 2027, the official fable social media account has stepped in to reiterate its previously announced date. Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb said that there was concern at Microsoft about Fable potentially running up against the behemoth that is the GTA 6, which currently has a November 19, 2026 release date. I'll say that I've heard that Fable has been pushed internally. That doesn't mean that it's coming out next year. Apparently they're still trying to get it out this year, but they're worried about the launch of GTA 6. So if it's getting delayed beyond the release of GTA 6, that push it into December, which might make it a prime candidate to get delayed into 2027. So while Xbox will have a lot of games coming out this year, that's one that there's still a big question mark around. That was the quote from a Jeff Grub video that was making the rounds. However, the official Fable Twitter account this morning responded to a fan saying quote, we're excited to welcome you to Albion in autumn 2026. That reiteration of the release window is telling here in a thinly veiled response to the weekend's reports. As it stands, Fable, set for launch this fall on Xbox series X, S, PS5 and PC. IGN has asked Microsoft for comment. Did we know it was PS5 day and day?
Greg Miller
Yeah, I think it had been.
Tim Gettys
I don't know. I don't remember that.
Greg Miller
I mean, you know, we'll see what Asha wants to do from here on out, if that actually holds.
Tim Gettys
You know what?
Greg Miller
It's, it's a social media person.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
You know what I mean? Like I, this is so reminiscent of when I was in. It's little apples and oranges. But I Remember when Persona 5 was coming up and I was like, that is going to get delayed. And people were like, even I think it was Alexa. Ray was like, it says on the website this year. I'm like, who the fuck cares what the website says? Like they change this shit all the time. That's not a shot at Alexa. It's just like, yeah, the audience and her were like, and what happened? It got delayed. Like, I get it, I understand it. I don't go, oh fuck Jeff Grubb, he was wrong about this. I mean like it's a response to a fan that's, it's not, it's not like they came out like, hey, no response. We're just putting it out as the tweet that would, that to me would speak more of like, oh, you are making a statement by coming out and saying this. Yeah, this is just, I'm the, I'm the social media person on Fable. I respond to the audience. And so until someone says we're not coming out, Autumn, I'm going to keep saying the same bullshit I say to everybody.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. And I've been out of the game, Greg. I'm missing some stuff because I don't remember the PS5 day and date. Did we know Autumn, even. Cuz I feel like you've been here theorizing the, the placement of all the Xbox games this year and like that doesn't sound familiar to me, but either way I'm with you overall that it doesn't really mean anything. But I do think that it's obviously a direct response to what Grub's saying. So it's like at least they're trying to say that it's this year and at least that they believe that at this point it is this year still.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Which I do too. Like I, I, I think that it is still fairly likely for this year. But there is, I hope it is thing of GTA 6 and the, the December conversation I think is where it gets like the most interesting is like will they think it's a good idea to put this game out in December when December traditionally doesn't do the best for video games? Even that's starting to not be as true as it used to be though. However, there was that two week holiday Christmas area, right. That is just a different type of spending period. And then there's also we are going to be hot off the heels of GTA launching, right? We still don't even know until tomorrow when all this information's leaked. Is GTA online is day one, Is it a month later? Because guess what, a month later for November is December. Right? Like there's a lot of things that play there. So I don't know and I, I feel like if they can't get it done at a appropriate time before GTA 6, it's like they should just wait till 2027 and no one should be mad at that.
Greg Miller
Yes, correct on all accounts. I think you know, when you talk about that December window, I think you look all comes back to expectations and what Microsoft wants out of this and I should say Xbox, not Microsoft. Microsoft wants it to be AI and a million dollars. Microsoft, what they expect from Fable, what they are trying to achieve with Fable. Right. I think you could easily put Fable out in December and yes, it still hits with critics, it still hits with the Fable fans, but I don't think you get the Fable is now a franchise that matters. This is something you should pay attention to because yes, you will be drowned out by GTA clips still going around, whatever is happening with online, etc. Etc. And I fall into that camp that if you get to December, just wait and put it out in spring. You talk about all the time, totally January, February even right now, I mean we're drowning in games in April right now. But there's so much room here at the beginning of the year. I always talk about it, you come out of Christmas, game of the year lists are done, it's time for we're looking forward be that game that drops there and people get to jump in. Like I've played a lot of GTA but I'm excited for something new. You're able to jump in and go crazy with it. And then yeah, there's the chilling effect of how early before GTA you need to be. And then of course the giant question of is GTA really coming this year? Where are we going to put that
Tim Gettys
I'm seeing sentiment in, in the chat from a couple people that the GTA will not affect the sales of Fable. And then a couple of people were bringing up the Indiana Jones was in December. I'm not saying that December games can't hit. They definitely can. But to your point, I think Fable and with where Xbox is and especially the development cycle of Fable and the expectations for it, you can't just let this one just be another game you put out. And people were bringing up it's on game pass. So what does it matter? It's like there. It's not just about sales and critical reception for this. I do think it is about brand recognition and conversation. And I feel like you as much as possible, it's not about oh GTA is going to take away the, the sales of this game. It's they're going to take away the conversation of the game. And I feel like the conversation for a game like Fable is incredibly important, especially in 2026, 2027 with where they're at. Where we're at a point now that Forza is the Xbox ip. Yeah, like that's. Maybe Gears has a shot at coming back in a major way. Probably does. But that is not a sure thing
Greg Miller
I want to bring in. I thought of this and it didn't apply to where I was in my conversation before. But now that we're here, let's pull this one and, and just stick with me. This isn't I'm saying anything. I'm not starting to fight.
Tim Gettys
Uh oh.
Greg Miller
Do we think Microsoft slash Xbox looks at Indiana Jones and says we nailed that. That was his success. Cause hear me out. And I know I'm, I'm, I know that I'm odd man out who didn't like Indiana, didn't love Indiana Jones. It was fine. But I know people loved it, so whatever. But I mean more like this a December game. So it wasn't in game awards that year. Yes. Got nominated for stuff this last game. Awards, whatever. I also feel that again, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, game of the year, voting on this. Da da da. I thought Indiana Jones just didn't get the rub it deserved for a game that people loved so much.
Tim Gettys
Critically, I think it did. Did it? Okay. Yeah. I mean and I feel like it
Greg Miller
got lost in that conversation where if Indiana Jones would have been a January February game, I think that's a conversation that would have had more of a tail than how this one got clipped by everything going on.
Tim Gettys
I, in my opinion Indiana Jones kind of Hit a mainstream level of success that it needed to.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Tim Gettys
Like when you have the indie ip where it's like the conversation for years that Bless and I would have is just like, it's not about would we prefer a Wolfenstein or Indiana Jones game from the team, but it's more just like, is Indiana Jones even relevant? Will people even care? Like, it turns out it is in video game form when the video game is good. And I was surprised at the normies in my life that really loved that game. One very biased source, James Burke. Favorite thing in the world, Indiana Jones. The game was like made for him, but he platinumed the game and 100% it on Steam. Like he was all in on that stuff. And multiple of my other friends who are not indie people, they also really loved it. So it's like I just think again, very anecdotal. But I, I, in addition to that, you see the conversations online that are think just a, a step outside of our sphere of like how we talk about games where we know every single thing.
Greg Miller
Because that's just still my concern with a Fable Dec would just be going to hit with the people it hits with, but then gets lost in the bigger conversation. Again for I think obviously we're talking about Indiana Jones as an IP versus Fable as an ip. Indiana Jones matters a great deal more. And I feel like with Fable, they seemingly have a shot of doing something really special here. And so you want to see that get legs, grow. People get excited about it. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I know some people are going to be rubbed the wrong way by me saying this, but I think the difference is with Indie and Fable is that it's not about which is a bigger ip. I think Fable is a more important IP because it's a gaming IP and it is a Xbox ip. This is a very important brand to Xbox and has been since the start of Xbox. We're celebrating 25 years and we are at this pivotal moment of like looking at the future and we can't just have another fumble of this is the last chance quote unquote for Fable. Right.
Greg Miller
Yay.
Tim Gettys
And I just think that there's like a lot more riding on it. And I feel like we have, we've had the story a million times when we've had it about Halo, when we've had it about. I can't think of anything right now but like other games and it's like the, the conversations were merited. We see the results of where Halo is at currently and it's not great.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
You know, so I think Fable needs to be in a place where the conversation is great. But I, I believe I'm very hopeful.
Greg Miller
I think, I think Fable looks awesome.
Tim Gettys
But as we said right now, like, I think it hits this year and I think it's going to be good.
Greg Miller
I think, man, since they showed it and didn't put a date date on it, I've been very concerned about it hitting this year. So it's like, I want it to hit this year so badly. I want this game. This is probably, you know, the most anticipated game right now, I think, you know, in terms of what I want to.
Tim Gettys
Really?
Greg Miller
Yeah. What else would I be thinking of?
Tim Gettys
I don't know. Wolverine?
Greg Miller
No, I want this more. This looks way more of a. Like, Wolverine's gonna be great.
Tim Gettys
And that's the thing.
Greg Miller
Wolverine's gonna be awesome. I can't wait. Soros is gonna be awesome. I can't wait. The Grand Theft Auto 6, I'm sure, will be awesome. I can't wait. Fable and that, like, follow a pedestrian around and see that. I'm like, that's a Greg Mueller, you know, all right, the Greg Miller right there in an rpg. But Storybook World and all that stuff like that sounds like a place I want to get lost in for hours and hours and hours. But I don't believe, I don't know if I believe. I. I won't, I won't let myself believe it's this year until they put a date on it. And then I'll be like, yeah.
Tim Gettys
And I mean that's, that's totally fair. Like, I wouldn't bet anything on it coming out this year. Just like summoning. There's something about this Xbox 25 thing that I'm just like, I feel like even things aren't ready. They might rush situations. Okay, we'll see. Story number three, A new Metro game has been confirmed and we'll get an Xbox first look this week. This comes from Michael McWhorter at Polygon. The next game in 4A Games Metro Series will officially be revealed on Thursday during an Xbox first look showcase. Dedicated to the title, Metro 2039 will be the first new game in the post apocalyptic first person shooter series since 2019's Metro Exodus. The publisher Deep Silver announced Monday during a digital only broadcast. On Thursday, April 16, 4A and deep silver will offer a world premiere look at Metro 2039. That showcase will be streamed at 10am Pacific on Xbox's YouTube channel. While Metro 2039 is not pitched as an Xbox exclusive, Microsoft says Xbox has always Been at home for the franchise and we're honored to continue that relationship by bringing you a first look at this next exciting chapter. I'm surprised at this.
Greg Miller
Which part?
Tim Gettys
Just because I. I'm not a Metro guy.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
At all. I feel like. Didn't Metro just come out?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
It feels like a games that always. 100%.
Greg Miller
But 20 always seems like there's a new Metro. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Good for them. Yeah. I'm in the exact same boat as you where it's like, I don't know Metro from a hole in the wall, but I know people love with it and I know people with it. So it's like, cool, but. Yeah, great. Awesome.
Tim Gettys
Here we go.
Greg Miller
What do we got?
Barrett
Last one was Metro Awakening in 2024, which was a VR game, but the last big one, it seems, was Metro exodus back in 2019.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, but.
Greg Miller
And I think they've updated Exodus a lot. Right. Isn't that the deal? Has it had a lot of DLC or something to that effect? Maybe, but it's a deal where it's like. I feel like I get a lot of press releases about Metro, period.
Tim Gettys
So it's like, all right, Xbox first look showcase.
Greg Miller
Hell yeah.
Tim Gettys
Interesting. Yeah. That's cool. I like that.
Greg Miller
I like that a lot. Yeah. As we've, you know, you've been gone. I know, but we did the Xbox partner showcase again, where it was just like, oh, my God, why aren't you showing games this way? Right. Versus the dev direct.
Tim Gettys
Y' all were so hard on that.
Greg Miller
Yeah, we were.
Tim Gettys
I don't think it was that bad.
Greg Miller
That's. Cause you're a dad now. You're soft.
Tim Gettys
Wow. That's what made me sorry.
Greg Miller
You've been out of the game so long. It's like in fucking Taken. I'll never forget. Remember when the guy pulls the gun on him, he's like, you've been out of the game so long, you don't know how it feels when it's empty. The fucking leak. Watch Taken tonight, everybody.
Tim Gettys
Oh, man.
Greg Miller
Anyways. No. Yeah. I love if you have a platform like Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, it's cool to see them get behind something and go and support it, you know? I mean, I'd like to see them do more of this. I know it's a little bit apples and oranges, but how they did it with mouse even Remember when they were like, we're doing a mouse. Like, is mouse that big? And you watch mouse PI for.
Tim Gettys
I'm like, oh, man.
Greg Miller
There's a lot going on in this game that I didn't understand was there because of that jump. So maybe this is the one you look at and you go okay, maybe there is something here with this new metro to get into.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, very very cool. We will get right back to story number four after a quick word from our sponsors.

we're back with story number 4x. Bethesda exec says the Elder Scrolls 6 maker isn't part of something genuine or authentic at Microsoft. Wow, this comes from Ethan Gatch at Kotaku. Pete Hines had worked at Bethesda for 24 years before he announced his retirement in 2023, just a month after Starfield's release. The outgoing VP of Comms and marketing said in a new interview that he'd been planning to leave for a while after the Microsoft acquisition concluded because he felt, quote, powerless to what I think needs to be done to run this place properly. The maker of Fallout and the Elder Scrolls was sold to Microsoft along with the rest of parent company ZeniMax in 2021 for $7.5 billion billion without ever mentioning the tech giant by name, Heinz suggested in an April 20 Sorry, April 10 interview. I got 420 on the mind. You got him everybody, with Kirk McKean's Fireside Chat newsletter that the new owners turned out to be a bad fit for Bethesda and made his job of managing the stored Game studio's reputation impossible. Quote, I was staying there because this place still needs me. I just hit a point of yes, it needs me and I'm powerless to do what I think needs to be done to run this place properly, to protect these people, to maintain what we worked so hard to create, which is an incredibly efficient, well run video game developer and publisher. He continued. And when I was unable to do what I thought my job should involve in continuing to have that place be, you know, if not the most efficient publisher in the games industry, it was way the up there. And when I couldn't protect it and I saw how it was getting damaged and broken apart and frankly mistreated, abused and whatever word you want to use, I said, I'm not going to sit here and watch this happen right in front of me. Hines gave his notice but ended up staying on longer than expected post acquisition because of Starfield's multiple delays. It was originally supposed to come out on November 11, 2022. Hind said the worst part of his career was to join a place that I genuinely was a fan of and people there I genuinely held in high regard and esteem and, and then to get there and see how it actually worked.
Greg Miller
Oof.
Tim Gettys
To talk is something right? But I'm very much about what's the follow up to that? Do you mean what you say or are you just saying that sounds good and then as soon as you leave this room that's completely forgotten because that is not how we ever operated at Bethesda. Hines didn't specify who at Microsoft or which parts of its business culture he was specifically referring to. But there's clearly no love lost for the Xbox maker turned AI Hyperscaler. Damn Ethan, you're cooking with that. Heinz didn't or that's not to say everything Bethesda said we did. Sorry, that's not to say everything Bethesda said we did. Yeah, we probably didn't fucking come close to that. But that was absolutely our intention. We're going to do what we say and. Oh, and we. Sorry, I now understand what he's saying. We're going to do what we say and say what we do and be genuine and be authentic. And truthfully, I still think Bethesda is just part of something that is not authentic and is not genuine. And that shouldn't be a surprise to you. Is that good stuff, Greg?
Greg Miller
That's what happens when you're free. You're free. Pete's like, I'm out. I'll go on whatever podcast, say whatever the fuck I Want.
Tim Gettys
It's crazy, you know what I mean? We rarely get this type of conversation. You might get a tweet here, some snark there. This is a full on. Yo. I was on the inside. I've been on the inside. I was there for a long ass time when things were good and now things aren't as good and I'm not there and I can say all this shit. Yeah, do you have any.
Greg Miller
I mean, Pete's wrong. Microsoft's great. No deeper thoughts on this. I mean, is anyone shocked? Like, and I don't mean it in a way of like I, you know, Pete's talking very freely, which I appreciate, of course. And I think it doesn't sound as much because even as Ethan points out, right, are we talking about this, that or the other? Which version? It doesn't sound like. It's just the fact that whenever any corporation buys the smaller thing that has been running on its own, regardless of your opinion of Bethesda, running on its own, pretty well. Well enough. I mean it's made some classic games and all these different things. You bring in new managers to be on top of it. Like this is what we are seeing not only everywhere in games, but everywhere, right? As we, you know, even if we're not watching day to day anymore, we continue to see WWE fucking stranglehold under TKO. TKO. They're fucking lowering WrestleMania ticket prices as part of storyline. You're like, holy shit, is it bad over there?
Tim Gettys
It's so bad.
Greg Miller
Same idea here. And why we see PlayStation buy Bluepoint close Blue Point. You know, I mean like when you bring in somebody else, I might be just that jaded at this point in the industry, but whenever it seems you get bought, it's eventually going to turn bad because it just can't be the same thing, period. Right? Like it's what we talk about with kind of funny and our independence and how much we love it and never say never. But you and I can't imagine selling to someone right now. Are you kidding me? No way. Because like why do we want bosses? Why do we want someone coming in and telling us what we need to do and then getting mad when I make some joke they don't like? You know what I mean? That's not for you know what I mean? But it's like, yeah, you're going to bring in people in middle management and you're going to have people in the meetings rooms that you see Pete alluding to that are going to say, yes, yes, yes, we'll do all those things. And then they leave that meeting room. Those things never happen because they have 15, 16, 20 other studios to go be like, hey, this is what we need to go do. This is what we want to go do.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. I mean, it's wild to him talking about, you know, Bethesda being like one of the, the best publishers and whatever words he used. And this is like, it's true no matter what way you shake it. Especially when you're talking about, like, you can have your thoughts on Starfield now in Fallout 76 or whatever, but like,
Greg Miller
yeah, you got some Starfield thoughts right now. Right?
Tim Gettys
Talk about good.
Greg Miller
You want to talk about some numbers? Starfield's putting up, brother.
Tim Gettys
Good numbers. Everyone. But you look at the, the E3 eras of when Bethesda came in and started doing its showcases, right? Yeah, like, that was. That was kind of wild. Like, that was in an era that we were getting less third party showcases and they were able to come through with substantial content. Like they had a ton of stuff to talk about because they had their live service and mobile initiatives, but they also have 10 pull IPs that they're able to kind of like go back to and update, whether it's remakes or new iterations of and all of that. And they were really like riding high for a long time. And then there was all the acquisition talks. I know that there was multiple people talking about acquiring Bethesda before Xbox happened.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Then that happens. And you know, flash forward to where we're at now. But yeah, Pete leaving makes sense. Made sense at the time. Right. Especially for how long he was there. But it also just sucks that it's like, that he has these feelings and is not just willing to put them out there, but to put them out there. Shows a confidence in his beliefs in how bad it is. Right. It's not just like, not for me anymore. I respect that. Whatever. It's like straight up like, no, this is dog shit. You know, like, these are.
Greg Miller
I saw how I was getting damaged and broken apart and frankly, mistreated, abused, whatever word you want to use. Like, yeah, that's damning. Yeah, that's not. Oh, they were going in a different direction. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, man, we'll see what happens for Elder Scrolls 6. Just five or six more years.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, exactly. It's so crazy that that's how long video game development takes on that scale. Yeah.
Greg Miller
But you keep a playing Starfield right Now on your PlayStation, you can.
Tim Gettys
The numbers are up.
Greg Miller
They're doing great. Steam numbers.
Tim Gettys
Speaking of numbers going up, Epic is reportedly making a Disney themed extraction shooter. This comes from Zack's Wise and hack. Why John Drake?
Greg Miller
Why?
Tim Gettys
A new report says that the first game to arrive after Epic and Disney's massive $1.5 billion deal from a few years ago will be an extraction shooter similar to Arc Raiders featuring Disney characters. On April 10, Bloomberg revealed as part of a larger report on Epic struggles in future that is learned that Epic is working on an online shooter that will star unspecified Disney characters working together to defeat enemies and reach an extraction point. According to internal play testers. The game's mechanics aren't very original, but Bloomberg reports that employees at Epic are hopeful that the company will get everything right and ready before the game's expected launch in November. This would be the first of three games reportedly in development at Epic that are connected to Disney's massive 1.5 billion dollar investment into the company that happened back in 2024, according to Bloomberg. The other two games aren't doing so hot. The second game has received mixed reviews from internal testers, according to sources who spoke to the out it. Meanwhile, resources were moved from the third game to the extraction shooter and the second project after Disney allegedly expressed disappointment about the progress on the games to Epic. Epic's global comms leader Liz Markman said Bloomberg's reporting was, quote, not reflective of the ambitions of the Disney collaboration. We're building a new game, we're building, we're building new games and entertainment universe of Disney experiences. A spokesperson for Disney said that the company was still focused on its long term collaboration with Epic and that it plans to build a transition transformational games. God, there's a lot of bad grammar in this transformational games and entertainment Universe remain unchanged.
Greg Miller
March 24, 2026 EPIC blog post Today we are laying off over 1000 EPIC employees. I'm sorry we're here again. Well Tim and I'm talking about Tim Sweeney. I think you'll be there again. I think you're we're going to be what are we talking about? Like it's so hard because you don't want to be like oh man, this sounds like such a terrible idea. And then like maybe if you would have pitched Arc Raiders, maybe I would have said that sounds like maybe we have enough. But it's just like Epic is reportedly making a Disney themed extraction shooter. Sounds like one of the fake we news headlines that runs back there, right? I'm just like we're just throwing garbling together things we talk about all the time. They get passed out to like do we What? But is Mickey gonna be running around with an ak like, what is what?
Tim Gettys
The thing about this that is so upsetting is that we sit here and we say these things and it sounds like we're just hating. And it's like, okay, we're gonna be here in a couple months. You're right, Greg. We're gonna be able to cover a story and be like, we were right. We told you so. And the thing that sucks about it is the amount of people losing their jobs, the amount of just fucking bullshit going on. But the biggest problem is the quality of the game. Almost doesn't matter. Like, this could be a good game.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
It's still going to fail, you know?
Greg Miller
Sure.
Tim Gettys
Like, I just feel like there's something about all of this that we hear and we're just like, no, this isn't going to work. It's just not going to work. Does anyone think it's going to work?
Greg Miller
I don't think it's going to work.
Tim Gettys
Do you think it's going to work?
Greg Miller
I don't think it's going to work because. And I know I'm a broken record, but maybe. Tim, you haven't heard. Well, you've been listening, so you've heard it, right? It's just back to what we're always talking about of, like this. These people come in and they throw $1.5 billion in there. The people who made Fortnight, because they go, just make another Fortnite. Fortnite. You guys did it once, you can do it again, right? And Epic probably is like, yeah, fuck yeah, we can. This is before they lay off all these people and start closing up things that are inside of Fortnite. You're talking about how there's a downturn in the Fortnite fucking numbers and now you're like. I say, well, now we're gonna get all these Disney people to come play this game. It's like, wouldn't it have made more sense to just put more Disney shit in Fortnite? Like, why wouldn't we have just done that? Disney, it's because that's not double digit return on investment. We want to own it. We want this. We want it. And are you going to be able to get this out of there? I wish them the best. I hope so. Absolutely nothing about this to Greg Miller says, that's a game I want to play. Now granted, I'm not a big Extraction Shooter person. I'm not a big Disney person. So maybe when it is Kylo Ren running around blasting fucking Winnie the Pooh, we're here for it. Which just sounds like Fortnite. I'm trying to extract the Disney Infinity crystal to get back out to fucking put together the fucking key verse for Kingdom Hearts.
Tim Gettys
Hell yeah, brother.
Barrett
The other thing too, like that we shouldn't understate here is like how insane. Like even if this one game does well and there is a return on investment here, they still invested in two other games all at the same time for Epic to.
Greg Miller
To build here.
Barrett
And it is that insane. Like what are we chasing here and to what end is it going to be good enough after laying off more and more because only one of the three projects that you greenlit here did anything. You know, it's just what are, what,
Tim Gettys
what are we doing? Money has to go somewhere. You know what I mean? Yeah, it has to. It just has to. We can't just not do that for some reason.
Greg Miller
Good luck to him.
Tim Gettys
Good luck everybody.
Greg Miller
You're a Disney guy. I mean, could that get you in?
Tim Gettys
The thing is, is that going to
Greg Miller
get current and he loves Disney.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, but like man, I think the extraction shooter thing, thing, it's just. It's tough. It's like it is. There are genres that I think just have a player based ceiling to some extent. And we always talk about the limited time of like people having their forever games and all that stuff. Like clearly people play these games. Look at Arc Raiders. Look at hell divers.
Greg Miller
Like 14 million copies worldwide for ARC Raiders by February 2020.
Tim Gettys
There's definitely an audience and that the ceiling is higher. But I feel like the more ven diagram shit you add there, like okay, well it's Disney. It's like hearing this like who knows, it could be a more M rated thing. I don't think it's going to be or even a high teen. Like whatever it is, right. Like we hear this and we, we think you know, as childish as possible. But like there's some middle ground. But at what point is that then kind of pushing some type of purist fans away or some type of like this type of fans? Like what was the game that we played? The mobile game, the Disney Disney Mirror Verse.
Greg Miller
Mirror Mirror Verse.
Tim Gettys
Surprisingly fun. You know, it was like, hey, this is cool. Like there's something here. Like is like it's nifty, you know, but it's like on this scale when you are literally trying to complete compete with Fortnite, like they are trying to recreate that magic. It's like That's Final Fantasy 16 was a letdown to square sales wise.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
This is going to be a letdown to them.
Greg Miller
This is where Disney will look back and we. 1.5 billion and we got this many concurrents that are dropping off immediately. Yeah, maybe we're wrong. Maybe. I bet it's just like, damn, man. I don't know. We're still chasing trends. I feel like here. And I don't think this is a trend that's going to net out for them. And again, I think it's the. As always missing the actual lesson of Fortnite. Fortnite. Fortnite launched. Right. And was a failure. They did the free to play Battle Royale as a. Hey, we just like this and we think it'd be cool. And then it blew up and like that. Change the world. Change the world in every one of you. Look at Minecraft. Starts with one guy, then it goes. We're talking about years and years and years of iteration and development where I don't think Disney's stepping in with this deal thinking it's going to be years and years to get to a huge. They're going to think this is going to be a launch to be the biggest thing ever. Everyone's going to play it and we will keep going. As you get in there to extract Walt's head. I don't know what we're getting.
Tim Gettys
Who's honey? I like it. Let's lean in. Let's go all Winnie the Pooh.
Greg Miller
Just Winnie the Pooh.
Tim Gettys
That's the move.
Greg Miller
Is he Disney? He's Disney. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. At this point, definitely. Yeah.
Barrett
Yeah. Well, like what we think of him as. But he's technically like.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
He's. He's. Free use. Nope. Yeah.
Greg Miller
No. Copyright free. Fair use. Fair use. Fair use. Fair use.
Tim Gettys
You were so close to. We were so close.
Greg Miller
Free use makes sense. Public domain free use doesn't make do
Tim Gettys
you know free use is. Greg. No, don't worry about it. All right.
Greg Miller
Incognito de Goose.
Tim Gettys
Oh, man. I'm like turning red. More red than normal. Never in my life say witty the.
Greg Miller
Oh,
Tim Gettys
I. I'm so tired of all that big news. If I wanted to go somewhere smaller, where would I look?
Greg Miller
You would go. Go to the Wii. Our last story, the Wii News Channel, where we run you through the small news items you need to know about.
Tim Gettys
It's true. From dc.
Greg Miller
I'm going to message Jen, let it know I'm free use.
Tim Gettys
Oh, my God. Winnie the Pooh is to let her know that from VGC, a casting call for Hideo Kojima's new PlayStation stealth franchise. Pheasant has revealed potential new details on the project and suggested that performance work is due to begin in the coming months. As spotted by MP First, a casting call for the project, codenamed Shimmer, has been published, attached to the same casting director Marioeda, who worked on Death Stranded 2. The casting call describes a scene with multiple passengers on a hijacked bus and is looking to cast a mother holding her newborn baby, five teenagers of different ethnicities, two other male passengers, and an antagonistic character with a German accent.
Greg Miller
Yes,
Tim Gettys
notably the villain of the described as Mads Mickelson in Hannibal, but with flair.
Greg Miller
So how do I. How do I. I want to be one of the male passengers.
Tim Gettys
That's what we got to figure out. I want Barrett to be one of the teens. You think a bear could pull off a teen?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Barrett
How do you do, fellow kids?
Greg Miller
There it is.
Tim Gettys
Yep. Yep. Pragmata Review Roundup everyone. The Metacritic currently is an 85 open. Critic 89. Hey no no no. 88 going up as we talk about it. 9 out of 10. Eurogamer gave it a 4 out of 5, VGC a 4 out of 5 and Michael Heim at IGN says it's an 8 out of 10. Punchy shooty action and a creative hacking puzzle gameplay mechanic make combat the true highlight of Prague Mata. The story may seem like an afterthought, but its sci fi drama gives enough to see it all the way through and experience the satisfying third person shooter. Guess what? Why these games cast is going to be our review of Pragmata. I will be reviewing it. Other people will too. I don't know who's on it but they other people played it. Roger. He said he beat it.
Greg Miller
Blessing said he beat is you Blessing. Roger and Andy hosting.
Tim Gettys
It's gonna be great. I can't wait. You're gonna want to hear.
Greg Miller
I'm very excited as somebody who's on redacted and redacted and couldn't play this redacted when it wasn't redacted. I'm excited to see what you think about this one.
Tim Gettys
Big week everyone. Redact your lives from Wario 64. Tomb Raider and Midgar special packs are leaving Power wash simulator on May 19. People who have already downloaded the packs will still be able to play them as normal moving as normal moving forward. The packs are currently free. There's a Instagram account I started following.
Roger Piccorni
Sure.
Tim Gettys
Called Palette Swap.
Roger Piccorni
Okay.
Tim Gettys
I think it is okay. It's like the Onion for video games.
Greg Miller
Oh sure. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Like hard drive.
Roger Piccorni
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Back in the day is Hard drive still going.
Greg Miller
I don't know, but I see palette swap.
Tim Gettys
Palette swap. Always very funny. I saw them post a thing talking about a new power wash simulator DLC for Asmongold's room. I'm like, damn, that's really good. That's it for we news, everyone. Here we are. I want to do your wrong. And then I want to get to the super chats. We have a whole bunch of them.
Greg Miller
I like that
Roger Piccorni
parrot.
Greg Miller
Show the shirt again too. Just so people know.
Tim Gettys
Kind of funny.com store Banderasan writes in saying, regarding Indiana Jones, sales wise, we only know it hit 4 million players, including game pass. And we know it was the best seller on PlayStation the week that it released. Okay, there we go. There. Yeah. Go to kind of funny.com store and buy the welcome back grant. We added the E. The E is back.
Greg Miller
Thank you, Joey.
Tim Gettys
Very exciting. What super chats do we got here, Dave, bro? Super chats in saying, baby Samus college fund. Hi, father. Hello. Thank you very much. I appreciate that. A lot of nice messages to me. We have John Van Pelt saying, welcome back. Joey Radstone saying, welcome back. Hope the new dad. Life's been treating you well. It has. Arturo Tron Robo bartender says, dilks dad I'd like to game with. There we go. Gee, she's been going down rabbit holes.
Greg Miller
Yeah, that happens. That all right. Sure.
Tim Gettys
She's going down this bill for rabbit hole.
Greg Miller
What does that mean, though?
Tim Gettys
I know, I know. It's.
Greg Miller
It's.
Tim Gettys
There's a lot. But she saw a shirt. She got Instagram targeted this shirt. That's a MILF shirt. Just says, man, I love frogs.
Greg Miller
Oh, okay. That's fun.
Tim Gettys
She wants it. And looking into apparently is this big. Like, there's like a whole meme about it about these damn frogs.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Tim Gettys
And she was like, should I get this shirt? I'm like, yeah, really don't need to. Yeah, you can. Yeah. If you like it, go for it. But, like, is this now your. Your mom? And immediately you're like, yeah, now Gia Harris. Gia Gettys is like, it's time for me to call myself a milf. It just doesn't seem like her, really. I mean, not. Not on a T shirt. Not. Not so, like, advertising that way. And then, yeah, the frogs. There's something about the humor. I'm like, who are you? Like, oh, it's all of it together.
Greg Miller
See, I could see Gia just straight up wearing a MILF shirt, no frogs on it. And I would say, that's Gia. That's Gia.
Tim Gettys
Exactly.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
There's just too many elements here that I'm just like.
Greg Miller
The frog is like, yeah, yeah.
Barrett
But maybe this is her finding her
Greg Miller
new era as a mom. Yeah, exactly.
Tim Gettys
That is. Yep. Yep. She has been saying, she's just like, it's crazy that now I have a kid, I need to be silly. She's like, I'm normally not silly like you. You handle all of that.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
You know, she's like, now I gotta do it.
Greg Miller
Yeah. That Jen had a. It's, I would say, an ongoing process where she was like, playing with Ben, like, imaginative play. She was like, this is so foreign to me.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
I was like, this is what I do for it. This is all I do. Look at me, I'm a snake dropping
Tim Gettys
to the ground in a Costco, man. I've been, you know, slowly working up. She has this dumb little neck, Sammy. All right, so it's like, you gotta definitely not Gia.
Greg Miller
For a second. I was like, gia's necks never seemed
Tim Gettys
that small, but it's like, you know, it's like her bobble ass head. Right? Yeah. You always gotta protect the neck, so.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
Powers Bomber.
Greg Miller
Oh, yeah.
Tim Gettys
I can't do any of that. But it's just like I've been like, slowly, like, working up to it. Yeah. Like, you know, holding her neck, taking care of her. Don't worry, don't call anybody. But then just like, you know, the slight.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And it's just. Oh, it's just. I'm feeling it.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I think we're still two years away.
Greg Miller
Quite a way away. Yeah. Yeah. But when you can slap on a sharpshooter, though, it feels good. It feels good.
Tim Gettys
I can't wait. We got Colsey saying, greg, where'd you get that shirt? I want one.
Greg Miller
I'm wearing my Be a good person shirt. And I believe it's just Be a good Person. It's one of those Instagrams I got. Not a. Well, I guess it was an ad, but they're a whole brand. Be a Good Person where. Yeah, I grabbed that and I thought that was a great one.
Tim Gettys
Joey Radstone in the chat says, my little girl just started laughing and it's the best stage.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
The laughs are fucking killing me.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
It is like. It actually is the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And also shout to you, Joey Radstone, I've been seeing that you are on a very similar parental journey to me where you had your kid around the same time. So I hope things Are going as well for you as they are for me. But congratulations. Iconic says I had to drop in real quick. Just say I love you guys while I'm at work. Quick question. Do you know of any good nonprofits to donate to?
Greg Miller
Oh, I mean, yeah, there's a gajillion. Right. I mean, Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis foundation jumps off the page at me. Obviously, you could do our extra life thing for children's Miracle Networks, and I. Maybe I. No, I'm doing it right. Everything I've said is nonprofit. Where else? Give me one of yours. No, you don't.
Tim Gettys
No, I mean, I'm. Extra life is my go to. For.
Greg Miller
Yeah, okay, we'll just do one of those then. But I mean. Yeah, I mean, there's so many good ones.
Tim Gettys
Sky says, can hackers do something worthwhile like, mark, my student loans is paid off?
Greg Miller
You know, that is something I. I get hung up on a lot. Yeah, it's like, I get it, but, like, what the, man?
Barrett
I didn't want to say it in the news story, but my thought was, like, you had to do it like. Like a ransom thing. You couldn't be like, you know, actually talk to your employees that you're fucking over and you fired and are in a legal battle with, like, you know, like, do that.
Greg Miller
Or we leak that.
Barrett
Like, do something positive with the fucking shit you're doing.
Tim Gettys
You don't know what he was. They were going to do with the money.
Greg Miller
He's the one. They're the one asking about a good nonprofit.
Tim Gettys
Oscar Navarro says, tim, have you tried Pokemon Champions? Very, very, very briefly. I designed my. My character, and it's that thing where I'm just like, ah, I understand. It's a video game. You got to play the video game to unlock the.
Greg Miller
You look like a lame.
Tim Gettys
Oh, but I'm just like, I don't.
Greg Miller
I'm lame.
Tim Gettys
And then, yeah, just like, in terms of the. The game, it's like, it's. It's fine. But, like, competitive Pokemon, like, we've talked about a million times, like, I'm just not there.
Greg Miller
Sure.
Tim Gettys
But I. I am very disheartened by the general reception to the game so far. Like, I hope that it gets where it needs to.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And I. I'm hopeful that it will. Was kind of like a wet turd launch.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Didn't seem like it went over too well while we were going.
Tim Gettys

You're about to experience one of the greatest video game ends of all time. I can't believe how good the ending to Tears of the Kingdom is, Greg. I think about it all the time. All the time. One of my number one thoughts. Wow. This stupid ass head. Oh, right.
Barrett
Barrett, the clap.
Tim Gettys
Come on.
Barrett
In the middle of the theme. Come on.
Tim Gettys
Come on.
Greg Miller
You kidding me?
Tim Gettys

Tim Gettys

Greg Miller

Tim Gettys
I thought for some reason it was earlier, but. Tim, what were your thoughts on Procopia? Hot take. I hope we get Star Fox Adventures remake, but it ain't happening. Pecopia. I don't really have thoughts. Not my type of thing. And Star Fox Adventures remake. That would be awesome. I. Star Fox Adventures is a good game that I think has the potential to be a great game. If it did have some tweaks here and there. A rare made Zelda game. Star Fox Adventures.
Greg Miller
Weird. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
So much weird shit there.
Greg Miller
How much weird shit?
Tim Gettys
Dexter says, welcome back, Tim. Fable could still be released in October, but I don't think there's any major releases. Then, Tim, kick Greg's butt at game showdown. Suck it, Greg. We'll see how it goes.
Greg Miller
You can say that and act like that's what you want, but you all know what you want. You want me, Greg Miller, the man who's back. Kind of funny.com store. A man who just got this trophy for carrying the company. All right. You want me to win stars in the bank because you know how good the content would be Another year. You know what? I would do this man.
Tim Gettys
You know what I mean?
Greg Miller
And now he's got a daughter I can involve in it. Doesn't that sound great?
Tim Gettys
It's always a threat. You know what I mean?
Home Depot Announcer
Always.
Tim Gettys
Every single thing is a threat, even if it doesn't clearly sound like one. It's in there.
Greg Miller
She's small enough that she could fit in the briefcase, but that we. We're running out of time with that. So I need to. I need to win this one.
Tim Gettys
Kebab says, Happy 10th birthday to the Ratchet Clank movie and the PS4 game. Without these, we wouldn't have gotten rift apart. That PS3 era slump was huge. Yeah, man. That PS3 era slump. I don't know what you talking about there, but maybe somebody. PS4 era, I think. What?
Greg Miller
Talking about Ratchet games.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, we got a lot of it on PS3.
Greg Miller
Yeah. But were they great?
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Quest for Booty.
Tim Gettys
Quest for Booty was awesome. And that was all for one. Oh, those. That was whatever. Tool. Tools of destruction and Cracking Time were amazing.
Greg Miller
Cracking Time, specifically Cracking Time was incredible.
Tim Gettys
That one. Franco says welcome back, Greg. I'm sure Tim will want a couple days off now that you're back.
Greg Miller
I'm excited to work with Tim next week.
Tim Gettys
You're such a piece of Disney Extraction Shooter. Sounds goofy.
Greg Miller
You all thought we were with you.
Tim Gettys
Mr. Nice Skyrises. Welcome back to him. I'm excited for the KF dad cast. Tomorrow, me, Greg and Kevin Coelho gonna talk about being dads.
Greg Miller
Very exciting.
Tim Gettys
Exciting times. Let's see. Jameson says the prodigal son returns. Welcome back, Tim. KF is complete again. It does kind of suck that I come back and Nick's gone.
Greg Miller
Does it?
Tim Gettys
I miss Nick. I miss everybody.
Greg Miller
You say that cause you haven't worked with him. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
I went to Starbucks. Right. Week ago. Yeah. Go to the Drive Through. Yeah. Roll down the window. Woman looks at me. Where's Nick?
Greg Miller
Hell yeah. That's a problem. You guys got a problem.
Tim Gettys
God damn it. Eric Myers says welcome back. Tim, how you feeling about that? Speed Racer back in theaters and 4K Blu Ray news. Oh, baby. I've had it pre ordered since the moment that dropped. Can't wait to watch this. I hope I can watch it in theaters. I've never seen Speed Racer in theaters.
Greg Miller
That's not.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I did. Oh, I did. Very excited. And then we have Heaven saying, I can't believe we're at a point where 110 margin is more acceptable than 10 1% margins. Profit margins. I mean, sure. Yeah, man.
Greg Miller
It's a gamble out there.
Tim Gettys
There we go.
Greg Miller
That's it.
Tim Gettys
Thank you so much for hanging out with us today.
Greg Miller
I'm excited for these Gamescast.
Tim Gettys

Tim Gettys
Isn't that weird?
Greg Miller
Matt.
Tim Gettys
Matt.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah. Not Mott. Stigmata. Pragmata. That was wrong. That threw us off. Pragmatic pragmata. You should have shots out here every time somebody.
Tim Gettys

Greg Miller
