Today's stories include. I spent my whole weekend playing Indiana Jones. Lego Fortnite is going Grand Theft Auto. And God of War's art director is now working for Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog. We'll have all this and more because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily. Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games daily for Monday, December 9, 2024. I'm one of your hosts, Blessing Addie Oye Jr. And I'm joined by returning from New York, the engaged one, Roger McCorney.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Thank you so much, everybody. For three weeks, everyone held me down. They said, you have to go to New York and you have to propose. You have to be away for three weeks. No, it was an amazing three weeks. Thank you, everybody. Yeah, it's special. And I played a lot of video games and I. I didn't, I didn't just propose. I just kind of. I bought my mom a TV and I just bought my mom a TV just so I could play video games pretty much.
Greg Miller
Oh, that's awesome.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. Cuz she had like a little like, I don't know, probably like 30 inch little 720p TV that's been in the living room that way. Too much, too big of bezels. So I was just like, you know what?
Greg Miller
How many inches was the TV you got her?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Like 65 inches. I got her like a TCL though. I mean, like, hey, look good, honestly.
Greg Miller
What a sun right here.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Listen, listen, I. I'm helping out. I'm helping out where I can and guess what, Immediately just put in that Xbox series S. And I said, this is my TV for the next three weeks. That I just played video games.
Greg Miller
That's funny because I was like, man, that seems like such a good Christmas present. Crazy that you didn't wait till Christmas.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, no. Yeah.
Greg Miller
Good for you for being like, no, I'm thinking about me, for. I'm putting me first. Lucia.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, I'm putting me first. And also her birthday is January 1st. That's too close to Chris. You know, it's early everything. You know what I mean? Here you go. Here you go. I feel you.
Greg Miller
What was it like? What was the trip like? I have so many questions. Yeah. How was the engagement?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, the engagement was beautiful. I'm sure I'll tell everybody about it, like, in detail. I think I want to do a Greg way with Lenza and where we talk about it all and we go through, like, kind of like, did she know about it? Spoilers. She probably did know about it. Yeah. But no, everyone was. Everything was great. Everything went exactly to plan. It was just a beautiful, like, three weeks in New York. I was in the city for a little bit. I was in Long Island. I played topgolf Sonic.
Greg Miller
I know. I saw that, dude. I saw that.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Fucking so fun. Topgolf is the fucking spot. And I've seen this. Even though I went to the topgolf launch event for Sonic the Hedgehog, didn't really play topgolf there because they were making fun of me. Andy was in the corner just making fun of me. Tim was not doing well, and I didn't want to be like Tim. Right? So I was just like.
Greg Miller
I don't want to be like.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I swung once or twice.
Roger McCorney
Did you improve your swing, though, Roger?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yes, my. My swing is really. I was fucking.
Greg Miller
I saw your score. You look like you had a good score.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Dude. I was fucking banging those balls, bro. I don't know what they. I don't know if that's what they call them, but, like, I was banging those balls.
Greg Miller
Exactly what they said. That's what they say. Tiger Woods.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I was hurting my ankles. Not my ankles, my wrists. Yeah, that's my. That's what.
Greg Miller
That's the wrist.
Roger McCorney
They say ankle for your hand.
Greg Miller
I was gonna say. They say the wrist is like ankles, but for the upper torso area.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I was hurting it. But, like, that means I was doing good, right? So I was. I was playing that also. A little snow. It's a little bit of snow. Just a nice.
Greg Miller
Dude, I miss the snow so much. I've been in the Christmas spirit this year. Been working.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm in the Antichristmas spirit. No, I'm, like, becoming a Grinch now. I don't know why. I don't know what's happening.
Greg Miller
I mean, one of the song. So I've been working on a Christmas playlist this morning. It's called A Very Baller Christmas, where I look for the Christmas pops of the modern age. I love that I got the chance to rapper songs on.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
You got the. You got the Run the Jewel song.
Greg Miller
Can you send that to me? No, I don't have to run the Jewel song first. I got Christmas in Harlem on there. I got. I Got the Sabrina Carpenter songs on there. I just added in the Ariana Grande song. You know she has a Christmas song.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Sabrina?
Greg Miller
No, Ariana Grande. Oh, she has a Christmas song. Well, Sabrina does also, but really, she has the whole ep. Did you not see the. The. The Sabrina Carpenter Christmas special?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
The premiered. I saw, like, the poster, Roger.
Greg Miller
Oh, man, it's just banger after banger. Cindy Lou who brings me to tears every single time.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
This is a Netflix thing, right?
Greg Miller
Well, this is the EP she released, like, a year ago. But the Netflix thing is new, and it's like a. It's a special that she did where she brings in guests, she sings songs from her ep, but then she does, like, Christmas due with a bunch of people. Like, including Cali Uches is on there. She got chaperone on there.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, really?
Greg Miller
Oh, yeah.
Roger McCorney
Oh.
Greg Miller
Oh, I gotta. You should watch it. It's fantastic.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I gotta watch this.
Greg Miller
I forget what I was driving to.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, we're talking about.
Greg Miller
I was making a playlist this morning because I'm in the Christmas spirit. And when I tell you that, like, the only thing missing from Christmas for me right now is the snow. And I used to hate snow growing up because snowman shoveling the driveways.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
But now you walk away from it and you're like, oh, yeah, I can shovel. Drive away.
Greg Miller
And it's been. Oh, it's been like eight years. Nine years, I guess. Yeah, like nine years since I lived in Illinois. And I miss the snow so much, dude.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I not related to snow, but I. I raked a bunch of leaves and like, my mom's backyard was just full of just, like, leafs. And I was like, let me just rake them. Oh, my God. What a beautiful feeling. What a beautiful feeling. Just like, it's just a cold. You're wearing your little. Your mittens. I was like, oh, this is so nice. This is so nice.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
But, yeah, that sounds like an awesome trip.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. And I played a lot of games. I played a lot of games.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Give me the one, Barrett.
Greg Miller
Give him the one.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm playing one game that's got my heart. One game that I can't believe is probably going to be on my game of the year list. Metaphor refant.
Greg Miller
Wow.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I am 16 hours into metaphor refantasio. Pretty early on. Yeah, but it's got the hooks. It's got the hooks in me. I am in love with this game. It's the first time that I've actually fallen in love with an Atlas game. I've enjoyed Persona games here and there, but I think the high school setting was doing it for me. This setting and what they're going for here. Oh, fucking immediately I'm in. I'm in with the characters, I'm in with the combat.
Greg Miller
Even.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Even though Yakuza, like a dragon, Infinite wealth has the best turn based combat of all time.
Greg Miller
We can have that discussion.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
We can have that discussion later. We have the discussion later. But metaphor is an incredible video game. I was going to hide it. I was going to be like, oh, I'm not going to say it until game of the year. But I was like, you know what? I can't hide my love for this game. I'm having such a great time.
Roger McCorney
You did text me about it. I forget what the question was.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, it was. I was asking you about humans because humans in this game are like monsters. And I was like, bro, these don't look like humans.
Greg Miller
They got some human elements.
Roger McCorney
Actually, that reminds me, it was really funny. Like I sent him one of the like human boss fight creatures Blessed. And I was like, what are you talking about? I look like this every day. And he sent back an edited image of just that same human, but just with a beanie on. He was like, oh, I see.
Greg Miller
That's awesome. Wait, was it the baby? God damn it.
Roger McCorney
No, it was like, it was the like really weird one that you fight with sword stroll at the, like the very beginning.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Oh, gotcha.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
But I'm having a great time. So like, I booted that up on the big TV and I had a good time with that. So booted up Indiana Jones, which we'll talk about in a second.
Greg Miller
Yep.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
And also I was, I was lying to you earlier. I have been playing Rise of the Golden Idol.
Greg Miller
No, I played it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I played it. I started playing it last night. And you know what I did, which is weird enough because I was, I was with Leon. We're sitting next to. She wasn't watching me play. She was just doing her other things. And I was like, you know what? I. I don't want to put on my headphones. I want to talk to her. I want to put on smooth jazz. I put on smooth jazz while I played this game. The fucking right way to play this game. Because every time I play this game I get anxiety and I'm like, I hate this experience. I don't know what's going on. Put on some smooth jazz. What a nice little experience.
Roger McCorney
You play Case of the Golden Idol first.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I played a little bit. I don't like the long names. The long weird old timey names. I Don't like that shit.
Greg Miller
Like, here's the thing, because I feel I'm with you, but it made it more. It made the experience for me more engaging because I would get to the next puzzle, and I'd be like, oh, what the fuck is this guy's name? Edmund Cloudsley. Like, who the fuck is Edmund Cloudsley? And that looks like him, I think, but I can't remember if that's his name or if he's the best. Sebastian. Just weird old timey names that, for me, it makes the puzzles hard.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Did you finish that one? You finished Case?
Greg Miller
I finished Case, yeah. Love Case. I'm halfway through Rise. I fell off of it because I think I'll just over Golden Idol. Yeah. Like, I. I knew that was gonna.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Happen as soon as I heard you're gonna do that.
Greg Miller
Yeah. But, like, I want to get back to it. The thing is, I think I do like Case better than Rise, but Rise is fantastic. Really.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, I'm loving Rice. I'm having such a good time. I don't know how Case works in terms of, like, in Rise, they do the thing where it is four different stories at once, and then you have to kind of, like, put together the larger story.
Greg Miller
Case doesn love that.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's the thing about Rise that I adore. I love being able to, like, put everything in context, to not, like, get.
Roger McCorney
Too into, like, spoiler stuff. Because, like, all of the story of both of these games is kind of, like, the mechanics of the game as well, of, like, putting names and story events together. I prefer Case in terms of its more linear storytelling, whereas, like, Rise, you're kind of jumping from place to place, and it's, like, hard to kind of connect of, like, a grander story. Until, for me, it was like, the last two chapters where it all did come together at the end. I was, like, really satisfied with it. But I loved the kind of, like, sticking with, like, three characters throughout the entirety of Case, and, like, seeing it build and the gaps are just, you know, you filling in the blanks between scene and scene.
Greg Miller
I remember, and I like. And that's what I love, because Rise, I think, does a good job of being like, hey, here's a re. Like, you had to put together the recap of everything that just happened. And, like, as you're going, you can kind of keep up. Whereas Case, there are certain things I missed until the last mission where I was like, wait a second, is this person? This person? I told Barrett, embarrass, like, you didn't know that that person ended up being that person. And I'm like, no, because the game doesn't spoon feed it to you whatsoever. And that Rise does. But they make sure that, you know, I'm so impressed.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
And this maybe sounds so lame, but, like, I'm so impressed with the way that they build these word puzzles right? With like, they give you just enough to always keep going, right? Like when you have a moment, you're like, I don't know what the fuck is going on with this guy. Maybe he's over here. I don't know. You start doing the other thing where it's like, oh, now you put the characters together. Or you put like, I did one where it's in jail. Cell. It's in a jail. It's put together all these people in the cells. And it's like, oh, that actually sparked something for the other part of this, right? Like, they always have this momentum, this pacing, which is so interesting. Like, it's so hard to create pacing. I feel like in a game like this where you don't have a 3D world, you're just kind of clicking around. Like you can kind of do it at any pace, but they have a. They have a great. They build in.
Greg Miller
We're going to talk about something this episode, and that is environmental storytelling. Because I think Rise and Case are both really great examples of environmental storytelling where that. The jail cell puzzle that you're talking about was one of those ones where I'm looking around and I'm like, all right, what in the world is this thing? And I look and like, everything means something. Every single. Anything that is like, lying around, anything that is, like, posted somewhere, it all means something. Even if it doesn't mean, like, even if it doesn't mean something to you in the moment, you're going to come back around and be like, oh, snap. No, this was right in front of me. It was right, right in front of me. I love when games do that.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
So good.
Greg Miller
And we're going to talk more about that because, Roger, I've been playing so much of Indiana Jones.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Tell me about it. I played a little bit of it. I played the first section.
Greg Miller
I'm going to tell you about it for story number one, because remember, this is kind of funny. Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I can't believe you cheated by the way. You went on stream and you asked for predictions, bro. That's fucked up.
Greg Miller
I wasn't asking for predictions.
Roger McCorney
That's fucked up.
Greg Miller
I was seeing what the.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Everything has an asterisk now.
Greg Miller
Everything has an as research.
Roger McCorney
It's like Greg's win for fantasy critic last year. If you win this year, you're gonna have a big and the fact that.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Mike is gonna lose now because Marvel Rivals was announced and then they put it back. You know what I mean?
Roger McCorney
It's a whole thing.
Greg Miller
What's the, what's the difference between that and like going on Reddit and being like, oh, what's gonna be a no game Awards on Reddit?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Crazy, bro.
Greg Miller
Don't we all do. Here's the thing.
Roger McCorney
Is Roger doing that? Is Roger going on Reddit and asking for.
Greg Miller
Are you guys not.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, my bad. Self report.
Greg Miller
Oh, my bad for trying, my bad for doing research. Everybody is seeing what's out there now.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I need you to promise me all of these predictions, not one of them came directly from the chat.
Greg Miller
Well, no, here's because. No, because let's be real. Let's be real. These kind of funny fans, whoa. They don't know what the fuck they're talking about. I had somebody, I had somebody in my chat last night be like, oh, Bloodborne 2 was a given. No, I'm not taking these guys suggestions.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Given. Absolutely not to give in, homie.
Greg Miller
Of course after games cast is going to be the stream and that's going to be Mike and Nick playing what Roger Indiana Jones.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
They are playing.
Greg Miller
I just wrote down Mike and Nick and I didn't.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, I thought you were like testing me. Trying to make sure I'm up.
Greg Miller
I don't know why I'm typing it now. I guess we already got out. Yeah, they're playing Indiana Jones. If you're kind of funny member you can get today's Greg way which is Greg talking about what it's like being the most controversial game reviewer of 2024. And then you can also get the kind of funny podcast this afternoon and tomorrow on YouTube and podcast services. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Delaney Twining and Carl Jacobs. Today we're brought to you by Imperial and Aura Frames, but we'll tell you about that later. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. It's time for some news. We have six stories today.
Roger McCorney
Give it to me, Roger.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, big girl.
Greg Miller
We're back.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Ah. I felt it in my soul. Thank you for telling me to do that. I wanted to do it too.
Greg Miller
Starting with our number one, Roger.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Hi.
Greg Miller
I spent all weekend playing Indiana Jones in the great circle.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
What are you playing it on? PC? Xbox.
Greg Miller
I'm playing on Xbox.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, Booted up the Xbox for the first time in the year it up.
Greg Miller
Hey, I played Hellblade too. I saw my Xbox wrapped and this really was the year where I was like, damn, like, I might need to.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Throw this thing out.
Greg Miller
It was more so like, I can't escape the allegations that I don't touch my Xbox because that was my most played game this year somehow was Hellblade 2, a six and a half hour video game. And like, like, is that on me or is that on Xbox?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Put out more than three hours of Hellblade. You're like, oh, shit.
Greg Miller
Damn, dude. But no, I booted up the Xbox after doing a lot of updates, how to update my controller. Thank God that's wireless.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Played a bunch of Indiana Jones because I saw when the embargo went up. I should preface this by saying the review we did went up on I think Thursday. Yeah, I got a cold on Thursday. I stayed home Friday and I was like, fuck it, let me play some Indiana Jones.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
But after the embargo to play Indiana Jones or just.
Greg Miller
No, I stayed home because I was sick.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, okay.
Greg Miller
And because I wasn't doing much, like, I played prepped KFCD and I did some like, I put up a kind of feudy thing and I was doing some things. But then I spent the rest of my free time just playing Deanna Jones because I had saw tweets from the review period of people like Daniel O'Dwyer being like, oh, man, this game has shades of the Forgotten City and Hitman and Dishonored. All of. Literally every single British person in the games industry was talking up this game. And you want to.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't.
Roger McCorney
Daniel Dwyer isn't British, though.
Greg Miller
Every uk, every European person in the games industry.
Roger McCorney
Sorry, I'm thinking of, like, to be quantified as British.
Greg Miller
No, I was thinking of Lucy. I wasn't. I was including Dana O'Doar in the British conversation.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, he was, he was going to another.
Greg Miller
I was jumping into, I was jumping towards Lucy and Timor and like and Simon Cardi who were like, oh man, this Indiana Jones game is great. But it was what they were comparing it to that really caught my attention because I was like, oh man, I really do like a stealth game. I do like an immersive sim style game. I don't know if I would like quantify Indiana Jones as full immersive sim, but it has like qualities of an immersive sim. We'll get into that in a second.
Roger McCorney
And you're also a big Indiana Jones fan?
Greg Miller
Well, here's the thing. I was on Indiana Jones in Review a few years ago where I watched all the Indian Indiana Jones movies and I liked them. Well, I liked all the good ones. And so, you know, I did the preview about like a month or so ago and I came out of the preview pretty cold on it, you know, Like I, I had mentioned that for that preview that they gave us a section in the Vatican to do and they also gave us a section in Egypt. The Vatican section I actually liked a lot. But the Egypt section I didn't like at all.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
In your preview.
Greg Miller
In my preview. And I came out of it being like, I don't know if this is a game I need to play. Like this might be a skip for me. I see what, I see where they're going for going with it. I see that it's like this stealthy, immersive, sim ish kind of experience. But I don't know if they're doing all the right things with it to really pull me in. And so the review period comes through for us. They only give, I think Greg access to it in Paris. Access to it. And so they're the two people on the review. After seeing what people were saying about it on Thursday, I was like, I gotta boot this thing up. Yeah, I gotta see what it's about. Because everything that people are saying about it makes it seem like a game that I would really fall in love with. And played it on Friday, started playing on Friday, played on Saturday, played it yesterday. And the more I played this game, the more I'm like, I cannot believe how much I'm into this. Just from the sense of it is a nerdy ass Indiana Jones game. It is, it's, it's crazy. The direction they.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I can't believe this game has been made. You know what I mean? Like that's, that's every time I was Playing it and booting it up. And I think I'm more on the critical side of it. I don't hate it. It's not like the worst game ever, but it's definitely something where I'm like, yeah, it's fine. It's probably not for me, but I'm booting it up. And every time I play it I'm like, man, this might. I can't believe how this game was made. Like, like what is happening? Oh, I thought that was my. I gotcha. Todd Howard must have so much pull over epithets that to be able to make this game the way that it is. Like, this is a game that I think is like before when this game was announced and like, you know, in gestation, we were like, oh, it's got to be like uncharted, right? Like it's just going to be like a linear, you know, you're just blowing things up. You're going from place to place, set piece to set pieces. It is very granular. It is like you're. It takes a long time to like build up to the actual mystery of the whole thing.
Greg Miller
And that's why like I look back at the preview and I'm like, man, what a tough preview. Because this is a game that I'm like, this is a game that I don't think previews well in the kind of game that it is. Especially in the way that, that they did it because again, they did the Vatican, which is more linear, which I liked. And it's funny to talk about the Vatican being linear, but like then they put us in the Egypt level, which is way more open and being in that level without having like all the ramp up to it, right? Like I think you can. You then miss out on the buildup they have in some of the areas before you get there that I think prep you for. All right, this is what the game is. And what the game is is open levels. You are being Indiana Jones. You are, you know, looking for a treasure, you're looking for relics, these artifacts. You are in open areas and essentially are doing these side missions where you're sneaking around. And like this is a, this is a stealthy ass video game, right? You are sneaking into places, stealing things, being caught by a goon and then getting into fisticuffs or like pushing them off a cliff, which is what I'm doing all the time. Or like picking up a bottle, throwing it, right? Like seeing them go a place and then trying to sneak around. It is. It is so stealth game in nature to the point of almost feeling a bit old school in its design. Yeah. You know, I've not listened. I didn't listen to the kind of funny review of it just because I've not gotten around to it. Right. And, like, I'm sure that many of the things that Paris and Greg say about it, I probably. I probably echo in terms of the things that I think this game does that might be a bit unintuitive or might be a bit, like, not as refined to be, like, engaging to the average player. Like, there's a lot of stuff that feels like a. Oh, man. Yeah, there is. What's the word I'm looking for? I guess barriers. Right. There are things here that feel a bit. Oh, man. You have to be into it. But I think once you surrender yourself to this game a bit, the magic starts to happen where you come across a side quest and it is, oh, yeah, you're gonna go chase after this thing. Oh, I'm in, like, this old tomb. I'm gonna chase down. Oh, I'm gonna let me open up this door by, like, pushing a lever. Oh, now I'm in front of a trial that I have to do. And now I am really doing Indiana Jones shit. Of using my whip to, like, you know, hit a. Hit a lever or using my whip to, like, swing across the thing and then I gotta figure out what the three, like, fucking mirrors I need to point at the thing are to then solve the puzzle. It feels so genuine in the way of, like, you're like. You are Indiana Jones. Like, it's hard to explain it without that. Barrett, I know you've been playing it as well, too.
Roger McCorney
Yeah, I'm 10 hours in. Like, I couldn't stop playing yesterday. Like, once I had sat down. I'm a little bit past the Egypt section and yeah, I definitely see the criticisms and I think if this was. You made a great point when we were texting over the weekend. Blessed. Like, if this was any other ip, if this wasn't Indiana Jones, I think I would be a bit harder on it. And I think that's purely because of. In terms of, like, immersive sim kind of gameplay and level design. If this was a dishonored game, I would definitely be a little bit, like, let down by it in terms of level design and gameplay. Right. But I think the kind of more. Not basic, but more like kind of like watered down version of level design compared to an arcane game and the kind of like, goofy but simple stealth and action fit the tone of Indiana Jones so well. That plus the archeology stuff of like, you solving puzzles and, you know, getting past trials or just like finding random shit in the world and like having that moment where Indy kind of puts together of like, oh, this, this is important because of this. And like, him just like kind of finding things. I think it all kind of works very well. It reminds me of Star Wars Jed and Jedi, Fallen Order, where it's taking inspirations from kind of a few different genres and mixing it all together to make something that feels inherently, I think, genuine to the franchise. I do think in terms of story, the immersive sim style of gameplay where you're getting into these open zones and kind of slowing down because it's so stealth heavy and stuff, I do think that makes for an interesting, like, story pace for sure. But I don't care because I'm just like enjoying like, going into like guard the Nazi camps and like taking them all out. And then if I get caught, I'd get into like a goofy fight, which feels genuinely Indiana because a lot of the action there is goofy and silly and kind of basic. I'm really digging the story, the villain this time around. I, I think is really fascinating. And I, like, shout out to Troy. Like, I can hear the Troy isms every once in a while, but that man is just impressively, Indiana Jones.
Greg Miller
Yeah, it's wild.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. No, he.
Greg Miller
It's.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It's. I don't. I was talking to Liam's about it because she was listening. She was like, he does a great impression. I'm like. I almost don't want to say impression because he is so good at it. But, like, it is an impression, right? Like, it is a perfect impression, though. It's pitch perfect.
Greg Miller
It's funny because it's so. It's so spot on that like, sometimes I have my criticisms of the performance, but it's almost like my criticisms. Criticisms are more so aimed at Harrison Ford more than they are at Troy Baker.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Honestly, when he was in the intro section, which I won't spoil. I mean, you probably have seen it everywhere, but, like, it's. It's mirroring one of the movies, right? And I'm like. And he said something in one of the parts, I was like, oh, that sounds. I was like, oh, it's just the movie. Like, that's how it is.
Greg Miller
And that's the thing.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It's like, you know, I'm here.
Greg Miller
Like, man, I feel like Harrison Ford could give more to the role. And I'm like, wait a second. This is Troy Baker. Yeah, this is Troy Baker.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
And it's so funny because he nails Harrison Ford so well, to the point where I'm like, damn. Like, this really is fucking Indiana Jones right here.
Roger McCorney
Sorry. Just because I had this thought last night or there was another member, I was like, damn, he's so good. It's just, I hope Lucasfilm takes away from this of, like, their, you know, their television and movie stuff. Maybe you can recast people instead of, you know, I mean, they did it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
With another Harrison Ford character.
Roger McCorney
But so far, I just wanted to give, like, a score. So far, I would give this an 8. I think this is a great game.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
If I was to give it, like, I'm, I'm about 11:12 hours in. I'm still in, like, the Egypt area, so I don't know how far that is, like, in the game. I don't think it's that far, but I'll probably. I would also, I'm also around an 8 if I had to give it a score.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. I'm a few hours into it. I, I, I think that was a very interesting thing that you just said, Barrett, when you're talking about the goofiness of it all. I think I'm fighting against the game, right? Like, I think I'm playing this, and I'm like, I could just play Dishonored, right? Like, I'm playing, and I'm like, this is not as deep as I want it to be. I just want to play Hitman. Like, I'm not finding the depth. And like, I, Some of the stealth stuff is just very surface level. I think the, the breaking point for me was I had a moment where stealth section just went awry because it's, you know, a very simple stealth situation. Right. I maybe walked away and then someone saw me. I was like, oh, whatever. And then I just killed, like, eight goons with my fists. Like, like, that's a. And I was like, like, that's like, that just kind of took me out of it where I'm like, oh, I like these stealth games when it is really, really hard to fight all these guys. Right. So you have to kind of go for the stealth situation. And for me, it is just, I can just start punching everybody and going.
Greg Miller
Through it really fast. I think once you get a bit further, you're going to find that more.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Okay.
Greg Miller
Like, I'm in an area, I mean, in, like, the Easy.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm still in Vatican, by the way.
Greg Miller
There are certain, there are certain places where I'm like, oh, man. As soon as I alert Anybody, like, if everybody gets alerted, immediately pause, restart from checkpoint. Because I. Either that or I'm going to get into a chase, which I have done a few times. And I think that's part of the. What's one of the reasons why I actually really do like this game is I think the genre that it is and the approach that is taken is so genuine to Indiana Jones. Like, for me, for an adaptation, this feels like one of the most genuine adaptations that you can have, because it really is. Like, the things that make this game great are the same things that make Indiana Jones great. Right to the. To echo what Barrett mentioned before about what we were texting about, I think if this was Indiana Jones, I could see plenty of parts where I'm like, oh, this is kind of dry. This is kind of whatever the Indiana Jones energy and comedy and like, that just the style of. Oh, man, I might get alert. I might alert somebody, but I'll get into fisticuffs and run away and it's in tone with what this world is. Or I'll push somebody. Like, I'm on the top floor of a building and I'll push a guard off the building and then hear from the first floor, oh, he's down. And like, it fits. Because that is what that would. That. That is what would happen in an Indiana Jones movie.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
The fact that I can, like, get in these comical situations. I can break a guitar over somebody's.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Head and get away in front of people. Like, disguise. Like, it doesn't matter. Like, it's all pulpy and fun.
Greg Miller
There's so much goofy stealth shit that happens in this game that feels so aligned with what Indiana Jones is like as a comedy, like, for its comedy aspects of it, that I. I'm like, this fits. Like, I can't get mad at it. I actually really like it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Interesting. No, I totally get that. I. I think my bigger criticism, past the gameplay and stuff, because I think it's all serviceful and fun to a certain degree. I. Is the pacing of it. At least in that beginning of the game where it's like, it takes so long to get to the great circle. It takes so long to get to that. That hook of the game. Right. Of course, you have, like, the initial, like, something crazy happens and someone steals something. You got to get that thing. But it clearly feels like kind of secondary. Like, you know that there's something bigger about a brew and it takes a long time to get there. Like, I still haven't gotten to that hours into the game. Right. Like, I I love the Indiana Jones nature of the movies is because you understand the MacGuffin, right? Like, you start up, it's like, okay, it is the thing that you have to get and that's the whole movie and you're going towards that thing. It takes a very long time to get that. Not. Not a huge negative. I'm sure once it gets to Egypt, it's going to turn around or whatever. But in the initial stuff, side of things like that was some of the things that Greg and Paris talked about in the review was the pacing of it. Like, I don't think that that matches necessarily the movie. If we're talking about like how like close it is to the movies. I just don't think that that aspect of it works as well.
Roger McCorney
I do think they could have benefited. Benefited from kind of changing up the level design for some of the things like going from the Vatican, which is kind of open zone, to Egypt, which are Giza, which is also like open zone. And then there. Not every level or area is like that. I think it would have benefited at least in story pace wise if like the Vatican maybe was a bit more linear and then you get to Egypt and then it's this kind of big exploration thing. And that's something like, even to a lesser extent, but like Uncharted 4 and the Last of Us Part 2 do. Where there are certain sections where it's like, all right, here's an area where you can kind of of explore and get lost. And now we're going to do a bunch of linear things. And I think they could have maybe reordered that, but that would also have to, you know, they would have to kind of redo.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, I'm just. I. The Vatican stuff is really good until I start doing the side quests because then I'm running around the whole. The whole map and there's no. At least that I know of. Maybe someone tells me if there's fast travel that I'm just not seeing there is.
Greg Miller
Okay, well, maybe I'm just like, the fast travel is.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It's not.
Greg Miller
It's not the best. It serves what kind of game it is.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Okay.
Greg Miller
But it's not like you're pressing pause and then going, I want to go here. Right. You are walking to a sign.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Okay. Oh, that's what that is.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's what the sparkle is. Okay. But like, either way, like running around the entire map and talking to the same person, it just feels like I'm. All the side quests, at least in the first, the Vatican Stuff feels like cut main content. You get what I'm saying? Like, I don't know, like, I feel.
Greg Miller
I feel what you're saying. But for me it works because this comes back to like kind of surrendering, surrendering yourself to it a little bit, which might sound like a cop out, but like legitimately and it might be right. Like, you know, I think the side stuff for me is what I care about more. I don't really care about the great circle that much. For me it is just a MacGuffin. For me it is just what the, what the main thing is to carry this, the story forward like in any other Indiana Jones thing. For me, what I care about more so is just being in the areas and kind of like learning what the areas are. And that's one thing I want to compliment. Like, if I have one of the biggest, if I can give one of my biggest compliments to this game, it is the level design. Especially when you get to the open areas. Aside from like the Egypt open area we can talk about because there are moments of great level design there. But there's also parts of that that I don't like being in the Vatican and like knowing that I have to go here and being in that world for a while because I spent maybe like 10 hours in the Vatican being in there for a while and like being to the point where I'm like, oh, I know where that's at. Oh, I've been there before. Oh, I got to go back here. Oh, I just take a left here and I'll, you know, I ended up in this place. I think one of the things about this style of game, immersive Sims or whatever you want to call it, right? Like open. I guess open area design is the way you kind of level up in this game is by just gaining knowledge of the area. It is by being like also picking.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Up books and picking up books.
Greg Miller
But it really is like, oh, I got to get to this place. Well, I know that if I go here I can climb up this thing and then go through this window. And I've stealthed around here enough to know that there's going to be a guard here and here. So I'm just going to go.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's my favorite part is being able to see like three guards at the, at the door. And then you're like, okay, well there has to be something. You look up, there's a window. How do I get to that window?
Greg Miller
That's my level design, baby. That's my shit, right? That is, that is where this game clicks for me. I had a mission yesterday where I had to find a relic. And I was in basically a restricted area that I was not supposed to be in. And I am like in a three story building and I keep looking around, I'm like, where is this thing? And there are like three guards in this other big room. And I'm like, I gotta take out these guards because I think the thing I need is in this locked room. So one of these guards is gonna have a fucking key.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
And for maybe about 20 minutes I am taking out these guards systematically.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I am waiting for throwing bananas in the corner.
Greg Miller
It really is like I have like a broom and I'm waiting for one to walk up and I like, like one of them is upstairs and he's alone so I like walk up behind him, hit him on the head with a broom and then he falls over the rail down to the first floor. And I'm like, oh like I hope nobody sees him. And thank God nobody sees him. But I'm like, now I got to take out the other two guys before they walk over and see this guy. And I do it and I look around, no key. And I'm like, where's the key? And I just cannot find this key to save my life. And I'm like, there must be another way to get into this room. And I go outside, I look around and I see like a little thing where I can like attach my whip to so I can swing around and get into a window. And that is my shit. Yeah, that is some fucking good ass level design. The fact that if I wanted to, I really could just search for this key, I could knock out every single guard until I find it. Or I can like really look around because there is going to be a second option, there is going to be maybe a third option to get into that room. For me that's good ass level design and that's part of what makes these types of games great. The one thing I will say of, I think on the immersive sim aspect of it and why, like I don't know if I would say this is a full immersive sim and why like maybe this is a thing that brings it down a bit is immersive. Sims are all about systems and I think the fun things about them, the fun thing about them a lot of the times is they give you these abilities or powers or whatever to really fuck around with those systems. And when I think of Dishonored, right, you have like the blink, you have, you can troll People, you can do all this shit. When I think of Deus Ex, you have all these different things that you can do to really manipulate the systems. Indiana Jones is just a dude, and the abilities that I'm getting are like, hey, here's more health. Here's more stamina.
Roger McCorney
You can pull your whip harder.
Greg Miller
You can. Yeah. Like, it's stuff to make the abilities you already have a little bit stronger, but it's not like you are building toward a, you know, a version of your character that, like, can operate in a unique way.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
In this world. And I think that's kind of one of the things that it's missing, but I also don't know how they would do it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Give me hover boots.
Greg Miller
At the end of the day. Yeah. At the end of the day, you're still Indiana Jones. They can't make you a superhero.
Roger McCorney
Yeah. I just want to. People were asking if, like, the side quest stuff you were talking about, if it feels like cut main content or good enough to be main content, I get. I definitely see where you're coming from with that, because there's, like, one of the side quests in the Vatican was. How was the. At the end of that side quest was the first time the great circle was said. And it's a moment in the trailer, and I did find that fascinating, but to me, it was cool because that side quest also, like. Like, gave a little bit more of a hinting of a certain character that you meet early on in the Vatican, and that pays off later. And so I don't know.
Greg Miller
It.
Roger McCorney
It's interesting. I. I feel like it's additive. I don't think it's like, oh, like, if you didn't play that, it would have, like, it inherently ruins the story. But I. I think it's just. It's nice little icing on the cake, which I'm. I'm enjoying.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm glad that I talked to you guys about this.
Greg Miller
Right.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Because this is something that I was just playing alone in my mom's house. She's on this tv, and I'm just like, I don't know. I also just watched Raiders, not for the first time, but the first time as an adult.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
And I was like, oh, I really love this. And, like, going into this, I was like, I don't know, talking with you guys. I think I'm gonna keep on going, get to get to Egypt, see what I'm feeling. But, yeah, it's a good conversation.
Greg Miller
Awesome.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I like this.
Greg Miller

DJ Kento says would love to see KF do a tier list of all people who have played in voice indie other than Harrison Ford. There's Doug Lee, George Hall, Sean Patrick Flannery and more. That's fun. Where have other people voiced or played Harrison Ford as indie?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, there's other games. There was that other game. There's other PS2 game there.
Greg Miller
Cartoons.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, I guess. Also like the young indie stuff. Does that count?
Roger McCorney
That was live action though. That was River Phoenix wrestling.
Greg Miller
When you said that, I was thinking of young Sheldon or like Young the Rock.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Like I'm thinking about young Sheldon a lot. I've been talking to my brother about it a lot.
Greg Miller
There's that new young Dexter that we're excited about.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, dude, that's gonna be the worst show of all time. It looks so bad. I fucking can't wait.
Greg Miller
Ryan says this game feels like a very well designed Indiana Jones themed escape room. Sergio Maldonado says, when and where can I get one of those kind of funny mugs? Do we still sell these?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't think so.
Greg Miller
Yeah, you missed it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It does look like I'm doing an ad because I have two of them. Yeah.
Greg Miller
What are you on? Double to stay.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I have some tea and have some coffee. I' going hard Chuck.
Greg Miller
And then these other super chats we can get to later. Let's move on to story number two. A lot of people were like, oh, snow, slow news day, huh? It's not a slow news day. I just feel like the most exciting thing to talk about right now is Indiana Jones because it just came out. But I guess for the people that are waiting for it, story number two. Let's talk about LEGO Fortnite.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's what you guys are waiting for?
Greg Miller
Yeah, they're waiting for.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's what you wanted.
Greg Miller
People complaining in chat.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Slow news. You want to talk about LEGO Fortnite, we're going to fucking do it now. This is what you wanted.
Greg Miller
This is what you wanted. It's getting a big expansion with a gta. What is a gta Style Role playing city. This is Andrew Webster at the Verge. Lego is building something new in Fortnite. A year after LEGO Fortnite launched in a new era inside of the game. One based on the idea that Fortnite is a collection of many game experiences rather than just one battle royale. LEGO is expanding its presence with a new title that sounds reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto 5 role playing as well as a rebrand of its core survival game. Oh, first up is a Game called Brick Life, which is billed as an all new social role play experience.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Sounds like a push a T album, Brick Life.
Greg Miller
It really does. Players explore a Lego a LEGO fied city location with 31 other people and take on specific jobs like career security guard or sushi chef.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, the three.
Greg Miller
Yeah, the three top three. I love those three. That's like the classes you can pick at the beginning of the game, like, oh, I guess I'll be a sushi chef. Players can design their own homes and explore locations like a magical school and rooftop club. And there are missions to take on as well. From the sounds of it, Brick Life is a more family friendly take on the enduring popularity of role playing servers in GTA 5. And Epic isn't being all that subtle about the connection. Brick Life is launching inside of Fortnite on December 12, though it won't be available for players in South Korea. As part of the announcement, LEGO Fortnite, the Minecraft style survival experience that launched last year or yeah, last December, is being renamed LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. From now on, LEGO Fortnite will be the name of the hub inside of Fortnite that houses all of the LEGO experiences. Epic and LEGO have been steadily expanding their partnership over the last year, launching new games and also letting Fortnite players build their own LEGO games.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Man, this is really interesting. I mean, it makes a lot of sense. I mean, I. That's cool. I don't know. Is that official?
Greg Miller
Yeah, this is official. The reason why I linked this bear is actually for the tweet, right? Because they weren't subtle about the connection. They say, ah, bricks. Here we go again. Which is the seat GTA San Andreas reference. Yeah, like St. Andreas of. Oh, here we go again.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
No, that's, that's, that's really cool. I mean this.
Greg Miller
I'm.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I used to be a role playing guy back in the day with GMod. So that, that's where my, that's where I got my, got my hours in. So this was, this is, this is really dope and like, I'm happy. What is happening right now? Oh, they're not doing anything.
Greg Miller
They're just hanging out.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, no, they're just hanging out.
Greg Miller
They're just hanging out. Oh, never mind. He's coming.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Nah.
Greg Miller
What is that?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh no. It's gonna be a whole thing about my fucking bagels.
Roger McCorney
I know, because I'm with you.
Greg Miller
I trust you. All right, but sadly you got a bad dose of the assholes invading kind of funny games daily right now, Raj. All right, so you Brought bagels from New York, frozen. I'm supposed to just put it in for 30 seconds, then take it out, then cut it and then toast it. And then everything's great.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Nick over here, LA boy, Inland Empire, he says that something, that these frozen bagels coming all the way from the east coast, they're going to be good after 30 seconds in the microwave.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I mean, 30 seconds at a time, I wrote. But yeah, yeah, I think you're having a great time. You're going to eat anything. I know you. You've eaten three day old bagels with me. This is from New York.
Greg Miller
They tasted like bagel chips last time we had them. They were so stale.
Roger McCorney
This is not going to miss you so much. There were several times there were donuts. He's like, man, I wish Roger was here.
Greg Miller
I'm going to wrap in a paper towel, dude. Is that okay?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Water on it. Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
And then it seems it. That's great.
Greg Miller
I cut donuts and nobody else ate them.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Just leave them in the side for me. I'm excited. Come back out with the report, let me know if it's good. I'm excited for Lego Fortnite. I knew. I fucking knew it. I knew that as soon as I brought these fucking bagels to become an issue at this office, I knew that me trying to do a nice thing. I looked at Landon this morning, I said, I know that no one's gonna eat these fucking bagels, but guess what? Kevin Coelho is. He's gonna look at me and say, I'm gonna bring 10 of these bagels home and be like, fuck yeah, Kevin. Because no one else did it. No one else is brave to do it.
Greg Miller
Last week I brought donuts to the office. Everybody loved them.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh.
Greg Miller
It was one of those things where I was waiting for the shoe to drop.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
What donuts?
Greg Miller
The ones. The ones down the street. Oh, ok. From the spot that I love.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. Because they fucking chirp. Everyone chirps.
Greg Miller
No matter, because everybody. It's freaking. You know, enough with the Krispy Kreme. Fucking bite into that shit. That shit.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Fucking yeah, your teeth hurt. And then I bring fucking Dunkin Donuts. I bring Dunkin Donuts. Everyone fucking poo poos me. What the fuck is going on? But Lego Fortnite Odyssey and GTA clone, it is cool. I am worried, though. I just want to have a greater. I know we're 40 minutes in the show probably having a greater conversation, but I want to have one of like, should we be afraid of Fortnite? Should we be like poo pooing this a little bit of like the fact that they are trying to take over every vertical of video game ever imagined. They just announced the 5V5 Counter Strike clone. That's first person that they're trying to go for. Like it's kind of wild that they're going towards every single thing humanly possible. Of course they tried with Lego Odyssey. It hasn't taken over from Minecraft. Right. It's not like. It's not like Minecraft's dead. They tried it with among us didn't.
Greg Miller
That's my thing is like I don't. It's not like they are doing it successfully.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
You know, like I think, you know, they came into the battle royale world and they fucking knocked it out the park and they're trying to do these other things. I think my other thing with it too is I think there's not really a as big of a space yet for GTA style games for kids.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
And so Roblox, that's what that is.
Greg Miller
Sure. But like Roblox, I almost compare more to a. Like a game engine. Almost. Like I know kids go in there and like you can. I'm sure they're GTA games that are in Roblox.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
There's a lot of role playing and.
Greg Miller
For me this is more. So this is more specific. This is more. Hey, like you are. Yeah, you are like essentially. Yeah. Driving around probably. I guess they don't know if they say driving around, but I imagine you're driving around as a, as a sushi chef or career. You're like, you know, you're hanging out in the city like you're having that GTA online experience. But in a way that is more suitable for kids. And for me that isn't going after something that's already been like done in a way where like that is a major slice of the pie. For me that is something that's a bit more are. No, there's a space to do that and I think that. I think that could exist. Yeah. But I think you're right as far as when you talk about the greater picture, like. Yeah, like they go after shit that's been done. Like the among us thing I think was a little bit slimy, but I don't know. I think it's. I think it's situational. Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I just, it's like the last, the.
Greg Miller
Last time I can think of something like this is LEGO City Undercover, which is kind of wild that LEGO City Undercover came out as what a launch title for the Wii U and they're like. And like it came and went and now somehow that idea has reemerged.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. I'm so interested to see what is the future of Fortnite and what they're going to be going into. Because clearly they're just trying to put. Throw everything into the wind. Right. They're just like, hey, we're doing fucking Rocket. We're doing racing, we're doing everything. We're doing Guitar Hero. I wonder if are we going to start to get more original games or is the vibe is we're just going to keep on trying to find what's hot in the ether and then try to take that. Are we going to get like a Tarov thing in a few months? Right? Like, are we.
Greg Miller
Oh, you probably are.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
We just going to keep on doing this and hope that one of these sticks and it becomes as big as the base. Fortnite Battle Royale.
Greg Miller
I mean, I think no matter what. Because when you talk about like a Tarov style thing, no matter what, because it's Fortnite and because I guess now it's Lego also it's going to be geared towards kids. And I think there's a fascinating business. Like, there's a. There's like a targeted thing you can do there. As far as the ideas that, you know, are making it big right now in the video game world, whether it be survival, which I guess you already done with Lego Odyssey, or it be like. Yeah. Or be like a Tarkov style thing. Or it be. Whatever it is.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. The counter strike thing.
Greg Miller
Counter strike, like Fortnite is good. I think is going to go after all of those, but make the children version of it. And I think for the most part, most of them aren't going to hit. And I don't know if they know that, but so far it feels like that stuff has been kind of shaky. I know Lego Fortnite had a lot of players and we'll see. Or Odyssey, this can be a chat or this can be a kind of funny dot com. You're wrong right now. What's the vibe on LEGO Fortnite? Is that still hitting the big. Is that still getting crazy numbers or is this their.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
A way to try to build that back?
Greg Miller
Yeah. Are they trying to revitalize it? Rocket Racing came and went.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
The whole rock band, Guitar Hero mode, that's still going.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't know how many people are like, I say that they announced peripherals and that that exists right now. I don't know how that's.
Greg Miller
I mean, that it definitely isn't the craze that it was back in the day, which I think is what they would have wanted to try to go for.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, I just. It's so interesting because, like, we talk about the industry, we talk about how the industry keeps on chasing trends. This is the ultimate amount of chasing trends, right? And like, Epic Games came a few months ago, right? And Tim Sweeney was like, oh, Epic Games. After all of our layoffs, we're all good now. It's like, okay, are you, though? Because you're going to have, you know, five, six, 10 game modes that are all aping off of games that are way more successful. Right. In the Crans game in front of Fortnite in general is way more successful. But I'm talking about these specific modes, right? Like, they're the ones that people think about. Are we going to get to a point where three years from now, we're just like, it all, we're done, we can't do any of this. We have to cut this. We have to lay off a bunch of people. Like, that's where my. I. I know it's a shitty thing. This is a news story. I think the brain goes that way.
Greg Miller
You're right. As far as the greater conversation of it, I think I am. I'm fascinated by where this goes because I. I almost think the opposite. As far as Fortnite is a little bit too big to ultimately fail. I think they can have a lot of failures within Fortnite, but I think what they're chasing after with this is like, hey, we have Fortnite and we have access to a bunch of ips. How do we. What are the decisions we make to, like, try and take advantage of this as much as possible? And so you have the collaboration with Lego, you have a collaboration with Disney where there's gonna be a whole bunch of Disney. But for me, it's almost like our conversation with, like, the Metaverse and all that shit, except it's epic. And so Epic actually has the means to make a lot, a lot of their own dreams come true. But I don't know if those dreams are going. Are going to hit to your point. Yeah, And I like, like, but I think they're going to happen. Like, that's the thing is I think a lot of this is we're going to see this through and then hopefully enough of it hits to where it's good enough for them.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, exactly. They're looking for that one big hit. Oh.
Greg Miller
Oh, God, he's back. Great. He was right.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, he was great.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Oh, I got to get one of those.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
See? Bagels.
Greg Miller
No, I'm good. I already had breakfast and I brought lunch today.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Double breakfast.
Greg Miller
I. And I never bring lunch. Greg said he already had a bagel. Let's move on to story number three. Former God of War art director joins Naughty Dog. This is Tom Ivan at Video Games Chronicle. Former Sony Santa Monica Studio art director Raf Grassetti has joined the last list maker, Naughty Dog. Grisetti served as the principal Art director on 2018's God of War and as art director on God of War Ragnarok during a 10 year spell at Santa Monica Studio. He left Sony last year to lead the art department of a now defunct Netflix studio where he was working alongside the likes of ex Overwatch executive producer Chaco Sun, Sony and Halo veteran Joseph Staten on an original multi platform AAA game until his recent closure. In a Twitter post on Monday, Grisetti confirmed he's returned to Sony to start a new chapter at Naughty Dog. I'm a big fan of Ross work.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Me too.
Greg Miller
He posts stuff on Twitter all the time. Right now Barrett has opened his art station where he posts a lot of his work. And like, obviously like you can tell, you can see the God of War. Like you can tell this guy's the director, the art director of God of War.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Jesus. But he's so sick.
Greg Miller
He takes a lot of IP and like puts his own like kind of semi realistic slash like kind of fantasy driven style to it. And so like right now we're looking at some Spider man designs that are super detailed and look really cool. Congratulations to Raf. Yeah, this is fucking awesome. My thing with this is, does this tell us anything about what Naughty Dog is doing?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't think so. Yeah.
Greg Miller
And you're right, but like, what if.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
What if it's Kratos again?
Greg Miller
No, I mean, but like what if they are going for an art style that is a bit more on that side of things. Right. Like all the stuff he makes seems to have like this gritty kind of like muscular, but he, he's very, he's.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That was a lot of. I think his art station shows off a lot of his fan art, quote unquote. Right. Like he has a lot of original stuff that is different. Like he goes through the gambit. I mean he was, I mean, I know we poo poo, which we should NFTs, but he was big in the NFT scene and he had a lot of insane stuff. Making a ton of money by the way. Like this guy's Doing it for the love of the game. Now like he's, he can retire off the, off the NFTs he was selling.
Greg Miller
But like has probably more money than Neil Druckman for sure.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
For sure. But yeah, no, I think he can do, he could do whatever and go for whatever. He's just so talented. You want that guy, right? Like, you want him on your team no matter what you're making.
Greg Miller
Yeah, no, I can't. I can't wait to see what he does over there.
Roger McCorney
Chat brought up a good point. It tells us that the Netflix game got canceled.
Greg Miller
Well, we already knew that. Yeah, we knew, we knew that the studio shut down.
Roger McCorney
Snarky response. That's what we have learned from this.
Greg Miller
Oh yeah, Story number four, we got some new trailers confirmed for the game awards. Both them 2k games. We got Mafia and we got Borderlands. Both of them were put up.
Roger McCorney
We shouldn't see these on your predictions. Bless. I'm just saying.
Greg Miller
Well, they, I mean me and Roger looked at each other this morning because I saw, I saw both of these and I was like, well, I gotta delete these from my predictions because I definitely had Mafia.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm excited though.
Greg Miller
And I had.
Roger McCorney
Well, I guess if you do a Mafia prediction, it would have to be.
Greg Miller
Like, when's the release date?
Roger McCorney
When is it? Stuff like that.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, I'm excited, man.
Greg Miller
You excited?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm excited for Mafia specifically because I mean it.
Greg Miller
I.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
We were talking about this earlier of like what our predictions were going to be. My prediction was going to be that they were going to show Mafia and they weren't going to show Borderlands because I felt like 2K Games was going to try to get the moment for Mafia and then have the moment for Borderlands later in the year or later into next year in the summer for Summer Game Fest. But the fact that they're putting this together, it shows to me that they're very, they're like, hey, these games are different enough. No, it doesn't really matter. Like we're not trying. We can show them off at the same time because they are so different. They have different fan base is. But then two like, you know, two K. I mean we just got to get this out right now, get people excited about this because GTA is going to happen eventually. Right? Like that is all within the same umbrella for them.
Greg Miller
So yeah, that's what I'm very fascinated about. I'm. This should be a conversation where games cast after this because I think we're going to have a game awards that has a Lot of developers not saying when their game is coming out because they're waiting for GTA to put out their release date before they actually say out loud that we're going to release in fall or whatever it is.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah. I think you're gonna get release dates or. Or at least release Windows for this game specifically. These games specifically because they are 2K. But also, that might be fun if we do, because that means that we can go backwards. We could be like, you're like.
Greg Miller
You're like, all right, Cool. Mafia's coming out in spring. All right. And then coming out in fall. Oh, that means summer for G. Exactly. We need to play them games. Let's freaking go. Summer 2026. Yeah. I like the way you think, Roger.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Thanks, man. Man.
Greg Miller
Roger, it's going to be big if you get these release dates for both these games. But if I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
You'd go to our last story, the Wii News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
Greg Miller
Story number four, slash five is we News. Sorry? Five, six is we news. I am demoting story number five, which was going to be big news. Wait, you want to talk about this?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
No, I'm just saying you got demoted. Like, you don't hear that term a lot.
Greg Miller
Greg Miller walked over to you, Roger. Demoted? You're being demoted.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It's like, what's my title?
Greg Miller
Clean these toilets is what you're gonna do, Roger. Michelle Ancel claims beyond good evil 2 development hindered by problems between managers. Now, I do recommend people go read this story. It's very fascinating because it is Michelle Ancel kind of putting it out there as far as, like, yo, like me, I had a lot of disagreements. Like, this is, like, what the disagreements were between me and the other leads. And this is why Beyond Good and Evil, too, has been able to come together. Very fascinating story. The one I was going to pull from was specifically from Chris Scolion at Video Games Chronicle. And speaking of that, there was a part two to this, which is also from Chris Scolion at Video Games Chronicle, which is about Ubisoft's handling of PlayStation exclusive Wild. He was talking about how it was kind of a real scandal, kind of finally confirmed that the game is canceled. Indeed. I think we knew that, but I think this is, like, the first actual. Hey, Wild is canceled. Both of these come courtesy from, I believe, French source Super Pouvoir, which in French, Roger, means Superpower. Yeah, Povoir means Power in French.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I actually have never seen Wild. I gotta be honest. Maybe I just have forgotten about this. I was thinking about the PS2 game that was canceled back in the day called BC or Some Shit. That's what I was thinking about.
Greg Miller
Oh, man, you've seen Wild? Wild was like. I feel like that was like not the talk of the town, but it would be the one that people would bring up all the time of where is this?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Where?
Greg Miller
And then we just got tired of asking, where is it?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
No one cares.
Greg Miller
Well, never mind. A lot of people, multiple people in chat at the same time just said, what is wild?
Roger McCorney
Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
So I think about bc. You guys probably remember bc.
Greg Miller
Bc. I do not know what BC is.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't know. This is one of those things that's like top 10 games that were canceled. Number one, BC. Number two.
Greg Miller
Absolutely.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't know. I was. That was a. That was a guess right there. There could have been 10 Gexes. I don't know.
Greg Miller
I think you're thinking of Gex Jr. But we'll talk about that. More renews for you. That was canceled. Yeah, bro. From VGC. Apple and Sony are working together to bring PSVR2 hand controller. Hand controller, handheld PSVR2 controller. Let's just say that support to the Apple Vision Pro headset from Noble. Today, Capcom announced the Capcom Games competition for students in Japan. For the first time, Capcom will allow students to make games with the RE engine in a cloud environment.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's cool.
Greg Miller
Really cool. Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I thought they were going to say the competition was them for to play fighting games. And I was like, yeah, that's true. These kids need to like, work. They need to like go to school and study.
Greg Miller
Let these kids study. Deck 9, who you know from Life Is Strange, has announced an unspecified number of layoffs. Chained Echoes DLC Ashes of Elrond launches Q2 2025 Infinity Nikki, which is a tough one to say, reached 10 million downloads globally. Also, Marvel rivals reached 10 million players in 72 hours.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I didn't know Infinity Nikki was free to play.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Wow. Okay, so Both those hit 10 million players. Good for them. Games are happening.
Roger McCorney
Do you play any Rivals over the weekend? Bless.
Greg Miller
No, I was playing all Indiana Jones.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Roger McCorney
I played a bit Friday and Saturday night. It was a fun time.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I booted up on my Steam deck.
Roger McCorney
I'm a Storm main.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Shouldn't do that.
Greg Miller
You didn't like it on the scene? I mean, I did play it on Thursday when it came out. I played like I had spent the night playing it with Our two co workers, Andy and Mike. I was like, you guys are not on speaking terms.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I was like, what's happening right now?
Greg Miller
Say Roger. But I was like, no, you're Roger. I was playing with Andy and Mike on Thursday night and yeah, that's a good ass game. My iron fist. Oh, you don't want to see him. Red Streams is set for tomorrow at 5pm CET with a deep dive for Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.2.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
God, I got to get back to that game. I got to finish that one.
Greg Miller
You'll never get back to it. CD Romance is no longer being updated, which is sad news for me and Roger.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
What's CD Romance?
Greg Miller
You don't see your romance.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Stop saying I know things. I don't know anything.
Greg Miller
Weren't you the one that told me about CD romance? I'll talk to you off. All fair about CD romance. Atomic Heart DLC Enchantment under the Sea launches January 28th. And then lastly, Argonaut has delayed the croc return. They said in a statement this decision was not made lightly. That's it for WE News. That's it?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's all they said? They didn't even announce it. We just kind of gleamed from that statement.
Greg Miller
No, I'm pretty sure they said. I'm gonna be honest, I didn't read the full statement. I just saw the quote. This decision was not made lightly. And I immediately pulled that. Like, that's hilarious. No matter what the context. That's insane to say about the Croc return. We have, we talked a lot about this, guys. Croc Camp 2024. We're sorry. Let's see. Let's jump back into super chats for you. Joe S. Says metaphor. KF Game of the year. Question mark.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I think it's up there. I mean, I. My issue is, is like, if I don't finish it, or at least unless I get like, I would say 40 or 50 hours into it, then I. I just don't feel comfortable putting it anywhere close to 10. Like. Like the top five just because I need to finish that game. But I mean, it's going to be on my list for sure.
Roger McCorney
I don't think it has a shot.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Seriously?
Greg Miller
Yeah, I think has a shot for number two.
Roger McCorney
I.
Greg Miller
You.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It has.
Roger McCorney
I think it has a shot for number five.
Greg Miller
I think it has a shot for number two. I think number one's going to be Astrobot.
Roger McCorney
Who else is voting for metaphor in their top three besides you and me? Bless.
Greg Miller
Yeah, but like, what are the. What are the Three games that everybody's voting for top three.
Roger McCorney
I think the three games that not everybody is voting for top three.
Greg Miller
Exactly.
Roger McCorney
Most people are going to be is astrobot, Final Fantasy 7, Rebirth, Birth, and the third spot is Dragon Age.
Greg Miller
Who's putting.
Roger McCorney
Question mark.
Greg Miller
You think most people are voting Dragon Age in top three? No, no, absolutely.
Roger McCorney
Like most. I'm not saying most people are voting for. Sorry, I misspoke there. I'm saying those games are going to be voted on enough to be in the top three. Possibly.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
We're going to have a crazy game.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I can't wait for this because.
Roger McCorney
I think Astrobot and Final Fantasy are the easy number one. One and twos.
Greg Miller
Who else is putting. Who do you think is winning Final Fantasy in top three?
Roger McCorney
Mike, Tim, Mike, and possibly Andy.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I mean, they're just playing it now, right? They're high off of the hype that is the Rebirth.
Greg Miller
Yeah. But I don't know. I feel like there's a reason why they're taking so long to play it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's what I'm finishing.
Roger McCorney
They're close though. I saw where they ended up last night.
Greg Miller
I know. I saw. I saw that too. And they're entering the worst parts of that game. The fucking final couple chapters. Wolf. Wolf. But I think metaphor will be high up there. Nathan writes in and says, hey, KF Fam, Today's my birthday. So here's some money. This might work better as a games cast when you have a free day, but what is your dream? Non gaming license paired with a studio minus Transformers by the DMC team. Thanks.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Trying to think. If there's anything that comes in mind. I'll think back on this one. That's a good one.
Greg Miller
Yeah, it's a tough one.
Roger McCorney
I always say it, but give Sony Santa Monica Avatar the last Airbender.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I like that.
Greg Miller
Let's see. Claw Master writes in with two more Wii News items. The last character for. Oh, this is a good one. The last character for Tekken 8 in this season Pass will show up at the game Awards. And Miku is coming to Fortnite? Yes. The Miku.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Whoa, wait, what?
Greg Miller
Miku is coming to Fortnite? Yes. The Hatsini.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Hatsune Miku.
Greg Miller
That's the only Miku I know.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Are you fucking serious? How is that number not number one on the store? What the fuck, dude? We're going to have a huge day. This is crazy. We're doing a Miku stream, everybody.
Greg Miller
You don't care about Miku.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Lanza does. So I care. I was going to say I Was.
Greg Miller
Like, I know you're not the Miku fan here. Oh, we got one from Delaney twining that says OC Comic Con is this weekend in Ocean City, Maryland. When I say like that, M.D. over 200 booths in panels. There are also two days worth of tournaments that include Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6 in Smash Bros. Ultimate. Hit me up if you're attending. Again, that is from Delaney Twining. And so if you. If you're attending, hit up with delegates. Why he doesn't give his contact information here?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
You can figure it out. He's everywhere.
Greg Miller
Vava Vui says, what would be a cool gift. That's how you say it. What would be a cool gift that. That you'd like to pull out of a stocking? Gaming related. Also, Roger, you're rocking that mustache, man. Man. Bricked up life. All I want for Christmas this year are magic, like decks. Magic packs. But like, specifically I want like pre constructed decks. Now I have too many packs to open. I'm still opening the packs that I. That I have. It's actually becoming an issue. But I want like the Fallout Commander decks. But I also like. I. I think I know people who might be getting them for me. So like, this is. This isn't an alert for everybody to get me the same Commander deck.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
But like, what if.
Greg Miller
Wait, I want magic stuff. I know that's barely. That's not. That's not.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I have a very specific thing. I need an expansion card for my Xbox Series S. I filled that up so hard. I. I don't. I. I need it. And it's like. And I looked it up. It's like 200 for like 1 terabyte.
Greg Miller
You filled that up so hard.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
No pause. No pause. People say pause in the chat. No pause.
Roger McCorney
Got his content.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
You know, I put Indiana Jones. I put everything on that bitch. It's crazy.
Greg Miller
Oh, man, watch your mouth. That's crazy.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Also, by the way, Hatsune Miku not confirmed for Fortnite. Like, this is just like a report from the person that leaks Fortnite stuff that she's coming in 2025. She's not available.
Greg Miller
I'm gonna stop riding in with bro.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Don't get me excited. Don't get me excited.
Greg Miller
Would love to see. Oh, we already did this one. Okay, that's it for super chats. Roger. Hi. You didn't acknowledge my jacket today or. Not today. You did today. You didn't acknowledge my jacket on stream.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Let me. Let's go back.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Hey, Blessing.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Your jacket looks really nice. Tell me about it.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I mean, do you know. Do you want to know where I got it? Yeah. Tick Tock, bitch. I got off the Tick Tock Shop. This was the jacket I was talking about last week that I ordered off the Tick Tock Shop. And y'all. Y'all motherfuckers doubted me.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It looks great. Everybody. Everybody complimented you. Everybody.
Greg Miller
This is my TikTok shit. Stop. Jacket. Like 40 bucks.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's really good. Yeah, that's really good, actually.
Greg Miller
Come on. It is.
Roger McCorney
Only.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Give me the link.
Greg Miller
This is only one of two.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'll wear the same one.
Greg Miller
Don't. If you find this jacket and wear it. Roger.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Everybody, don't everybody go get this exact same Tick Tock Shop jacket and wear it and send photos.
Roger McCorney
We're sending this to Mike.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Greg Miller
Hold on. Roger, I need you to edit this, okay? Put it in a TikTok. TikTok. Put the link to the TikTok shop on that. TikTok.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Do we make money off that?
Greg Miller
Yes. Oh, that's why you do you guys see all the TikTok I just did.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I just thought that was like full on ads for that company. Like, I didn't realize, like, those are creators.
Greg Miller
Yeah, those are creators. I don't know if you need some kind of like, special. I don't know. Think it seems like everybody's doing it though, so. Yeah, we need to make that money.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Okay. Look in the one and do a full shill. Like fully shill for the show.
Greg Miller
Well, no, I think the natural. Because everybody does skits is the thing. Everybody makes it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Do a skit right now.
Greg Miller
Roger. Do you want to know where I got this jacket from? Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Where'd you get that jacket? Looks amazing.
Greg Miller
I got it from the TikTok shop.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Whoa. They have such high quality stuff and.
Greg Miller
It'S not that much. Do you want to know how much it is?
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Tell me. Has to be $100.
Greg Miller
No way. Lower. It's half that. What? And 50. And I heard TikTok's closing soon and so the price must be lower.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Check out the link below and seen everybody.
Greg Miller
There we go. We did it.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That's what we bring to the set.
Roger McCorney
That brought me back to like, going to see really bad improv.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
No, here's the thing.
Greg Miller
This one kind of funny.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
JG in the chat says this is really good improv. So JG in the chat knows. JG in the chat knows.
Greg Miller
Thank you, jg.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Really good stuff right there for I.
Greg Miller
I did want to take it improv classes like a while ago because I Figured it would improve my performance here.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, same.
Greg Miller
You want to take TikTok class or. God, I can't talk improv classes together.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I do. I actually do. I'm just so scared. I'm just so nervous because I feel like I'm gonna be bad. Right. Which I will be.
Greg Miller
Well, I will be too.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorney
Everybody's bad at the beginning. Yes.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I mean, I'm always down. This is how we become closer.
Greg Miller
2025. 2025. Me. Me and Roger are taking improv classes. And I'm also trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my hair.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Oh, a separate thing.
Greg Miller
Separate thing. But it's my goal for early 2025. I want to figure out a drastically different hairstyle.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Drastic.
Greg Miller
Drastically different.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Are you thinking about dreads?
Greg Miller
I mean, I'm thinking about, like, I don't know if my hair is long enough, but I'm thinking about, like. Yeah, twists or something like that. That'd be sick.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
That'd be sick.
Greg Miller
Stay tuned. Kind of funny dot com, you're wrong is where you write and let us know what we got wrong as we got it wrong so we can correct it. For those watching later on YouTube and listening later, later on podcast services around the globe, Kebabs writes in with breaking news. Kebabs. You got to wait until we finish because Kebabs writes in and says croc, the Legend of Gobos remasters and push the Q1. He has more. Sorry. She has more of the statement here that says to add the final touches to ensure the game meets the high standards that we aspire to, in which you, the fans, deserve. Oh, that's why they delayed it. It had no. No formal release date outside of December. We hope.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Is what's. What's Croc? I'm too scared.
Greg Miller
You don't know Croc.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Don't look at me like this. Don't look at me like I should know what Croc is. Why the should I know what Croc is? I'm assuming he's a crocodile of some sorts.
Greg Miller
You should know what Croc is. Come on. If you're a gamer, you know what croc is.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I'm a fake ass gamer.
Greg Miller
Barrett's brought up Croc gameplay.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
This is the remastered.
Greg Miller
I mean, it must be. Yeah.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
It looks kind of soft. I like it.
Greg Miller
Yeah. This did not look like this on PlayStation 1. I'll tell you that.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Kind of cute.
Greg Miller
You seem like such a Croc guy.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, but I know you mean that as an insult.
Greg Miller
We got one more from S'mores and Oreos. As of writing, this Lego Fortnite has about 60,000 players right now. Festival has 9,000 players. All right, that's it for Kind of Funny dot com. Wrong. Roger, this has been an excellent episode of Kind of Funny Games Daily. Thanks for being here with me and thanks for returning to work. You didn't have to.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yeah, well, you guys sidelined me for three weeks, so I'm here.
Greg Miller
I mean, you saw that. Yes.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yep, we did that. Barrett and Blessing specifically sidelined me and told me I have to go and propose to my girlfriend because she's gonna leave me.
Greg Miller
And guess what? She said yes.
Roger McCorney
Let me tell you, you're getting an earful this week.
Greg Miller
Oh, this is good improv.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
I don't know.
Greg Miller
We all talking about it. We got a good improv here, me and Roger.
Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Yes.
Greg Miller

Greg and Blessing provide their ratings for the game, both settling on an 8 out of 10, appreciating the game’s alignment with the Indiana Jones spirit despite minor criticisms regarding pacing and depth in certain areas.
