Mike
You ready to give it to him? What? It's Mike and Roger in the morning.
Roger
I don't like doing it cuz I've never seen the show so it feels like I'm a faker.
Mike
But it's our takeover day today.
Roger
Okay. Yeah, it is.
Mike
We're Back, baby.
Roger
We kicked Greg to the curb. We say you go heist, host a dice and then we'll just, you know, have a little spinoff episode over here.
Mike
Very exciting stuff. Congratulations to of course Greg, Stella and all the games industry for going out to Vegas and enjoying the Dice week and have a great Dice show. We'll be watching. That is a Thursday night live stream broadcast I believe. So best luck to Greg and Stella. Go break a lake. Have some fun.
Roger
Not jealous at all. We would have liked an invite.
Mike
You think we would like to host DICE one day.
Roger
I influenced Kojima. I'm a Yakuza expert.
Mike
Watch out. He's a Yakuza expert.
Roger
Mike, what have you been playing? You've been tell kind of threatened me this morning.
Mike
Yeah, I'm up tight at you, Roger, because I want you to ride this bullet train that is my life.
Roger
Never say that again. Just for real. Never say that.
Mike
I want you to come bullet train me. But last night I jumped into Mugenics for the big launch night of.
Roger
Oh yeah. Yeah.
Mike
We've been having some talks pre release about the games here in the studio, but we haven't done anything with it yet. And I'm very excited to say that I jumped in on day one. The review scores are very, very positive. Shout out.
Roger
Bless.
Mike
And I had a really good time. Get a little tactical on it.
Roger
I like that.
Mike
Yeah, I'm coming. Hot off of my Fire Emblem three Houses playthrough. Now I get a super weird cat tacular tactical game. And I'll tell you Rog, I never played Binding of Isaac.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Oh.
Mike
But I'll tell you, playing this makes you kind of want to jump.
Roger
You got to play some Binding of Isaac, bro. It is that, man. Binding of Isaac is one of the greatest games of all time. And I, I sadly I tried out Mu muenics for maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Just a little too weird for me and I. Weird. That's weird for me because I'm a Yakuza guy. I like the weirdness. It's just maybe a little too gross. Maybe it's the cat stuff. Maybe it's just the thick line art. Something about it just wasn't doing it for me. I wish I was into it as much as other people are, but. Yeah, no, it's just. It just wasn't working for me. How long did you play it for?
Mike
3 and a half hours for me. So I will say there's a pretty solid tut in this that takes you about a run to maybe two runs. They really don't take off the training wheels until about run three, maybe run three and a half. I'm still getting new things added to it. So there's a lot of complexity to this game but really at the core of it is a really fun grid based tactical game where you are going to go breed a bunch of cats in your. Yes, your shanty shack, you know what I mean? And I'm just going to get new cats and I'm going to send them out there to battle. Really scary looking cats, dogs, monsters out in the battlefield.
Roger
It's pretty great, this trailer. Every time video viewers can see this live action trailer, it always does weird things to me. Makes they have the hot sexy cat.
Mike
Okay.
Roger
The woman dressed up as a cat and it's just weird. It's a weird.
Mike
Yeah.
Roger
But I like it.
Mike
Good music too. They got some crazy music going on.
Roger
I mean, Andy was talking about that, that one song that they repeat a bunch of times. What do you feel about that song?
Mike
I mean that you lose your mind to it, you know, you just, you.
Roger
Hate it, then you love it.
Mike
So yeah, I played a bunch of that. Raj. Hell yeah. Very excited about that one. I'll give it another try. Try to go a little bit deeper. But it is a roguelike. So every single time you are going to restart your runs, kind of start from square one, go all the way and see how far your cats can go. Your cats become veterans after a run. So you kind of send them off.
Roger
Oh cool.
Mike
And give them to better homes. And so you start new, start fresh with certain cats. So that's been kind of a cool mechanic to redo and so we'll see how far I go on this one.
Roger
It's kind of cool that we're at this point where like Mugenics has been in development for like, it feels like a decade. Like I've been hearing this name, Eugenics. We had Silksong. Of course, Half Life 3 is in the ether, you know, I mean, always in the ether. Right. We have these games that are like been gestating and like memes for so long and now we're actually like in the next year or so we're going to have like maybe three or four of them come out, which is kind of cool. Okay.
Mike
Really?
Roger
I mean, I mean I got, I just named two right now. You know what I mean? Half Life three will come out in the next year.
Mike
And you know what else I'm excited to play Rob My game of the day Tokyo scramble releases today for $30 on Nintendo Switch.
Roger
Tell me about this one.
Mike
This is the xenos have run amok and you have to get out of the blades. This is the one that if you were watching Nintendo direct with us, is the insane resident evil, like dinosaur player co op. No, I'll be playing that.
Roger
This is the one that's like 144p with game share. Oh, this game is already out.
Mike
It dropped today.
Roger
Oh, tough. That's a tough one. How much is that one going for?
Mike
30. 30 bucks?
Roger
30 ducks.
Mike
I'll be buying that.
Roger
Yeah, you will be buying that. We could get you code.
Mike
I'm about to give Nintendo 100. When you really think about it, we go Tokyo scramble into Mario fever. So I got to get in on that.
Barrett
Yesterday's review that you can check out in the kind of funny games cast feed didn't sway you from, you know, spending the $70.
Mike
There's something bad about always having a good, solid Mario sports game on your switch for when you're traveling. And it looks like this tennis game improves upon what I want, and it feels like the core. The gameplay of Mario tennis fever is the best that it has been and. And will be. And so I'm very happy with that. Yeah. Do I want a better adventure mode? Of course, Barrett. But, like, do I just want a solid, really good Mario tennis experience? Yes. And I think it's bringing that.
Roger
Well, I've been playing reanimal, which I'll talk about a little bit later in the show. But before get an invite for reanimal.
Mike
You gotta play reanimal with you. It's a co op game.
Roger
Well, you know, I have a fiance. She was interested in it. You know what I mean? She kind of takes precedent. Just a little bit above you. Just a little bit.
Mike
Have you guys talked about adding a roommate? Me?
Roger
Oh, you thought you were talking about somebody else. Just a general conversation.
Mike
I live there.
Roger
You do that.
Mike
We all can sit on the couch together.
Roger
An upsetting amount suggests that you move into the rubble that is the basement of. Of the house that I'm in. You're like, I'll just. I'll just camp. Just camp in there. Jesus Christ. But before we tell you all about adding a third to my relationship and reanimal, remember, this is kind of funny Games daily. If you're watching live, be a part of the show by super chatting on YouTube.com kind of funny games. We couldn't do it without our producers over on patreon.com kind of funny. So thank you to Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Psalm twining For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the R.
Mike
It's time.
Roger
For some new seven stories today. Story number one Marvel's Wolverine probably won't be at tomorrow's PlayStation State of Play this is from Wesley LeBlanc over at Game Informer. We'll pull up a little Tweet over here. PlayStation is hosting a state of play tomorrow that will feature more than an hour of third party, indie and first party games. While it's likely we'll see Housemarque's Soros considering its launch in April, there's one PlayStation 5 exclusive we probably won't hear hear more about that game is Marvel's Wolverine. When someone on Twitter asked the official Insomniac Games account when the studio should would release more information about the game, Insomniac responded with spring 2026. That is a bit surprising as tomorrow's state of play is one of the longest in recent years with promised updates about PlayStation's first party output. With Marvel's Wolverine due out sometime this year, you'd think this State of play would be a great spot to highlight the game once more. But. But it sounds like Insomniac won't be ready to do so until this spring, which for Reference starts begins March 20th in the US where the studio is based. I like that because I never know when Spring starts or ends. There's still a chance Marvel's Wolverine would appear at tomorrow's State of Play, perhaps as a surprise, but temper your expectations. Mikey. Does that surprise you? Does that blow your mind that we're not getting any more Wolverine?
Mike
No, Roger. Oddly enough, when we got the announcement of a State of Play coming this week, my mind didn't jump to Wolverine. My mind did jump to, of course, Sorrows. My mind goes to Ghost of Ghost of Yote Legends. Yeah, that I want to see. But my mind, whenever I think of Wolverine, I think of big showcase title, fall title. This will be somewhere in the spring to summer window. I didn't need more Wolverine.
Roger
Yeah, I agree. I my, my brain didn't go immediately to Wolverine too. I mean, I think it's a, it's a good shoe in because it is a big game. We don't have a date on it specifically. Right. So everyone's waiting for that trailer, waiting for that big release date. But yeah, spring 2026 sounds about right. Especially when I when we're doing the big predictions for this year. Mike When I saw I took the pills and I saw the future, I looked back at the Past. And I was like, oh, wait, we haven't had a showcase like over three years now. It's been so long between an actual PlayStation showcase that blows it all out and shows you, hey, here's what the future of PlayStation 5 looks like. So I do think we're overdue for it. I don't think that's a bad place to put it. Which is a spring 2026 showcase.
Mike
Now remind me, of course, to the live chat that's watching and Barrett and yourself. Didn't we have a special like Spider man state of play once where it was just Spider Man?
Roger
Did we? I don't know. I don't know.
Mike
That was the whole.
Barrett
And they've been doing that in the last few years as well. Like Ghost of Yote, like had like a, you know, it wasn't like a long one, but it was like a 20 minute state of play or something like that. I could see them doing that for Wolverine.
Mike
Yeah. I feel like that exactly. Bears. Like, Wolverine is big enough.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
That you can have its own little 20 minute showcase. It could be the second half of a larger showcase. Yeah. Kind of seeing what Xbox is doing with that strategy of having a second showcase after the big one and it just being one game, really nailing it down. I thought of Spider Man. I was like, well, Wolverine could easily get that treatment.
Roger
Yeah. For sure.
Mike
And it probably will.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
Right. If you think about spring, they'll probably have that. Maybe they tack on some other games. But it will be mainly, hey, here's the big Wolverine blowout.
Roger
Here it is.
Mike
Yeah.
Roger
Here's the full gameplay and everything. Yeah. And let me just jump over to Super Chats really quick because I saw a few over here talking about some of their predictions. Aaron Lime, Super Chats and says Wolverine marathon, Soros token. Nope. Tomorrow we're getting a new ape escape. Trust the Vision. I love it. This is the shit I love. You know what I mean? Sometimes you see some audience members that just get it and they see the vision as well. And we're locked into like the Avatar plane, like the ancestral plane, and we're connected and Yes, I see that. But no talking about marathon. Like, yeah, of course. Like that's.
Mike
That's a marathon is a. We got to be there marathon will have a pretty good chunk. Yes, I bet. Right. Hey, here's the redo, here's the reset. Here's five minutes, probably, maybe I would say three to five minutes marathon.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
Release date. Maybe an alpha or beta that you're going to jump into. Right. That if it hasn't already been released, but it's game time for Marathon.
Roger
Yeah. What's that release date?
Mike
I'm sorry, I think it's next month.
Roger
Jesus Christ.
Barrett
March, I believe.
Mike
Yeah, next month.
Roger
Christ. Do you think that's going to be good?
Mike
You know what? I liked Marathon the most out of Arc Raiders and Exoborn that we played, me and the boys. And so I'm looking forward to Marathon. I do think that Marathon has an opportunity to sees some audience because we are riding the high off of Arc Raiders. It's done so well. I think people will be interested enough to now try a new one. It will come down to did the team redesign enough to keep people to stay. The gunplay is very bungee. The atmosphere, the environment is very bungee. I think it's a cool setup. It's just, can you keep people engaged.
Roger
And having fun, Especially with the arc raiders of it? All right.
Mike
He's done a fantastic job, but there's room.
Roger
There's always room for more. There's always room for a different type of extraction shooter. And honestly, the more I look at Marathon, I'm like, oh, like this maybe speaks me a little bit more than. Than Arc Raiders. Even though I did enjoy Arc Raiders a lot. But I wasn't like feening to go back to it. Like. Like something about Marathon. And I do love the gameplay of the Bungee games and specifically Destiny. I just didn't love everything around Destiny. Like, that wasn't my type of game. But this year we are getting into Warframe, so that's a big deal. So I might get back.
Mike
I told you, I get into Warframe. I got into one gotcha game. Warframe and World of Tanks. I did play a gotcha game. Okay. I don't know.
Roger
I don't know. We got to add World.
Mike
Oh, I have to. We have to find out how World of Tanks is still running 20 years later. Mike has to get. It's like, I'm going to investigate this.
Barrett
It's going to learn that it's a drug front.
Roger
Yeah, it's like the. It's like the mattress stores that you see everywhere. For some reason, every town has 15 mattress stores. Like, how many people are buying. How does I have so many to sponsor? So much money to sponsor Linus tech tips every single week. Like, how is this happening?
Mike
My 2026 goal is to get to the bottom of this. I'm going to. So just letting you know, personally, I'm.
Barrett
Really excited to see more of Kind of Funny's 2026 Game of the year prediction Soros.
Roger
Yeah.
Barrett
So I don't know how much more I need to see.
Roger
I don't.
Barrett
Yeah, but it's one of those, like, I'm just. I am frothing at the mouth for this game.
Roger
Yeah. I don't think I need to see anything more, honestly. Like, I just. I just want it in my hands. I want a demo. I know they would never do that, but yes, I believe. Yes. Sorry.
Mike
I think this is April. Correct. So we're right around the corner for this. Yeah. I mean, it's flashy, it's exciting to watch. Like, they don't have to show much, but whatever they do show, we're all gonna clamor for and go, man, this looks so awesome. And we're gonna be right around the corner.
Roger
I wonder what they do show because we're at the place where they showed a story trailer at the game awards. They've shown a bunch of gameplay. It's like, do they have Co opa?
Mike
I was gonna ask you. Yeah. Would they dare launch with co op? We know co op came to Returnal later on.
Roger
How good was that? Did we like that?
Mike
Yeah. No.
Roger
No one really talks about the co op.
Mike
Me and Andy played it for a good, solid night. It was a lot of fun. Yeah.
Roger
Okay.
Mike
I mean, I think at its core, people enjoy the single player nature of it, but there's people out there that want to enjoy this.
Roger
Yeah, I do. I do think, like, if we're having more gameplay, it's going to be like, okay, cool. Like, I didn't need to see that. You know what I mean? Like, there has to be some type of, like, here's a new feature you haven't seen. Or maybe it's like a gun breakdown of, like, here are all the cool guns that you might be going towards. Here's like, what a day in the life of a Soros gamer with experience. Wake up, Open up the game. It's like. It's a documentary.
Mike
How about.
Barrett
I would love to see more of like a. Like a true. Like just full boss fight or something.
Roger
Like. Yeah, that's like, here's. Here's what it is. Yeah.
Mike
About some Helldivers content.
Roger
Sure.
Mike
We got Helldivers in the news. Helldivers continues to go out there and succeed.
Roger
Yeah. Yeah. I feel like they have their audience. Right. You don't need the state of play, you know, unless you have like a big expansion of, like, get back into Hell Divers. This is the time to do it. But I don't. I Don't necessarily see that. Of course. You have down here the God of War project. Yeah, we're gonna see that. We're gonna see some. We're gonna see this.
Mike
Do you think a God of War project is for sure? I think in your mind gonna happen this week.
Barrett
That's a lockdown 2.5 D or whatever that was rumored to come out last year and then internally got pushed. Like, I would imagine that first half of 2026, if that was something they were trying to get out last year.
Mike
I do like Sphinx writing in here because it is the conversation starter always. Will Xbox show up at one of these? Starfield, of course, is the big announcement that you'd be waiting on.
Roger
Yeah, right.
Mike
Is this time like the one that I go to is not old games, but I do appreciate the call out. Starfield would be the right call here. But like the one I jumped to is, hey, is it time to start showing like a fort at one of these?
Roger
Yeah. Yeah.
Mike
Would you dare show a fortnight?
Roger
I don't think. I don't think they need to do that. Also, I don't know how truly, like, genuinely do not know how the money works on all of this. Of like, I'm sure that would be a marketing agreement with PlayStation. Xbox is giving money to PlayStation. It's like they can get the same amount of views if they just show it off and say, hey, also, it's coming to this thing. I want to pull in a super chat right here. A few super chats, actually, with Kyle LaBeouf. Super chat and say if Marathon slaps is bungee back. Were they ever gone slaps? Yeah, I mean, yeah.
Mike
I mean, it's got a mega slap for it to be like, back, back. Yeah, I think we gotta be rocking place, right? With the tail, as I like to call it, the tail end of Destiny 2. The Destiny heads will tell me. No, Mike, you're dead wrong. It's still thriving and succeeding. And I'm like, you're in a cult a decade, my friend.
Roger
Meanwhile, when I said Warframe, everyone jumped two people out.
Mike
Like, holy shit.
Roger
Warframe mentioned. So yeah, you're. You're in the. You're in the community, so I get it. I get it.
Mike
I'm the wrong one here. I do think we won't call Bungie being back until it's time for another Destiny.
Roger
Until it continues. Right. Like this is. It can't just be a big pop. It needs to be, hey, for the next four years, people are playing marathon and are obsessed with it. Year of Dreams. Oh, sorry, Norm Chacho, Super Chat says Year of dreams, 2026. Give us gravity rush. I'm gonna one up you. Year of dreams, 2026. Give me Sly Cooper. What the fuck is going on with that kid? He's got a whole. He's got a whole group of friends. They can make plushies, they can make cartoons. They can make a movie that they once canceled. You can do so much with Sly Cooper. He's sexy. People want to fuck all these. All these animals. They watch Utopia. Watch Utopia. Everyone's talking about this hot fox. They're talking about the bunny. People want to fuck Sly Cooper. And I'm saying that I want to fuck Sly Cooper. And I want a video game to then allow me to fuck Sly Cooper.
Mike
He said that.
Roger
I'm saying it all because guess what? Like, this is the time to do it. People. Furries are in. It is mainstream. Everyone's talking about it, okay? They're in their mainstream. And people love it. Okay? People watch Zootopia ran to the theaters. Sure. Of course people brought their kids for, you know, just because they wanted to bring the kids. It's an animated movie. But some adults went there because they think the fox is hot.
Mike
And that's why Sly Cooper has.
Roger
And that's why Sly Cooper needs to come back.
Mike
Okay. I mean, you started off very strong with Sly Cooper. You could have just stopped right there.
Roger
Well, no, I need to talk my truth. Talk my truth.
Mike
Tell your truth.
Roger
I didn't realize that I had to hold that within me. I'll one up both of you. Oh, wow.
Barrett
Give you. Give Mike some hopium here. Maybe give him some. Give him encouragement to get back to this series. Is it time to finally see Kingdom Hearts 4?
Roger
No.
Mike
I mean, I do love that Barrett and I. Yes. Every state of play, every Jeff Keighley situation. I'm going to hope for Kingdom Hearts for. Right. I'm going to think about it. I'm going to think about Sora and Ricky. I'm going to think, when will these guys come back into my life?
Roger
Right? Yeah.
Mike
I think this is Summer Games. I think Kingdom Hearts 4 has summer game fest written all over it.
Barrett
Yeah, I could see it.
Mike
I feel it, Bear. I feel like it's time.
Roger
I mean, he has the square connection. He has a square connection.
Mike
What about. Okay, let's get back to it. Final Fantasy. We know there's a part three. When we show that.
Barrett
That one director or some someone or maybe a producer recently said 2026 will be the year we hear about More Final Fantasy VII Part 3 News than ever before.
Mike
Ever before before. Ever before ever before.
Roger
And that's a lie because they did give us a few. Few t. Like it exists. Let me go a few more super chats. Really quick before we move on. Zeke speak. Super chat says Chinese marathon play tests leaked. All rave reviews. I did see that online. Wow. There were some. Some people talking about it and saying that they really enjoyed it. So yeah, we got. We got. Sorry. Funk Machine says we got two movies for the bad guys. Sly Cooper next I saying that we h. Furries are in the mainstream. Sony's trying to make a bunch of money. They want. Oh, what IPS do we have? We have Karate Kid legends. Let's get a big dollars. You have Sly Cooper right in front of you. He's sexy. It's gonna be fine. Make that into a movie.
Mike
Yeah, but you know who already had a movie?
Roger
What?
Mike
Ratchet and Clank.
Roger
No, it was barely a movie.
Mike
I like those.
Roger
That was barely a movie. Two more super chats before we move.
Mike
More Astrobot.
Roger
Oh, the game.
Mike
Like, yeah, we get like a little DLC or anything. I think holiday update.
Roger
I feel like they are fully like, we're done. We did a lot for you guys. Yeah, we're on to the next one. That team. I wouldn't be surprised. When did astrobot came out? Two years ago now. Two years ago. Three years ago.
Mike
Two years ago.
Barrett
Yeah. 2024. It was our game of the year.
Roger
2024. I think we get a new game from them mid-2028.
Mike
Okay.
Roger
So like, they're going to be moving fast. I mean, they. Again, when we went to their studio and they showed us like, the pitch deck of like, their plans, like, they had four years planned out. They knew what they had to do. And like, they're a very, like, committed team of like, we can make this thing. We have the timeline. We're going to. We're going to do this. I don't think they're going to take more than four years between projects.
Mike
So we should maybe a tease to the next project then?
Roger
No, I think you when they're going to do an Astrobot, When Astrobot's ready, you're going to know it within the year. Again, two more. Animoshan says not in the marathon sphere per se, but damn, he's so hot. What did Bungie actually change between September and now? Maybe she's a gun feel. I feel like it's the gun feel. It's probably like the movement. Probably check out all the stolen art.
Mike
I think it's going to. They paid that person.
Roger
Oh yeah, sorry, sorry, sorry. It's not stolen.
Mike
I think that's.
Roger
It's reclaimed art.
Mike
I think they're going to work on the mission structure and how do they keep you in the game? Because here's the thing about Marathon. It was a very quick gunplay situation where if you didn't have it, you were going to get melted and die really fast. I'm sure Time to Kill has been worked on, I'm sure Gunfight and Engagements have been worked on, but the big key for these games is it has to keep you in there. That's why our creators did so well with the little mission structure that they had keeping you going with the pve. Hopefully there's like some voice chat out there that can have people kind of be cool with each other, but it felt more like a battle royale than a extraction shooter. We're gonna team up and not murder each other. Yeah, Marathon very much felt like if I see you it's on site and it's over.
Roger
Muck da straight to jail Roger and.
Mike
Added a bunch of new characters.
Roger
New Mukda says straight to jail Roger. That got six upvotes. You guys are all going to be banned for kink shaming. And then Zarok with the final super chat before we get to the next story, says Roger is right, Carmelita Montoya Fox is a baddie and y' all are right. Okay, going on to story number two. Overwatch doubled its concurrent player record last night on Steam. This from Vicky Blake over at ign. We already knew that Overwatch fans were returning in their thousands with the advert sorry advent of its new name and story driven era. But Overwatch hasn't just matched its original Steam release day fervor, it has smashed it more than doubling the platform's concurrent peak set back in 2023. You remember that Blizzard's sequel unfortunately stumbled out of the gate while it saw a massive surge of players at the start. Those numbers dropped in the following year as time went on. User reviews complained about a number of issues such as monetization and controversies around the cancel cancellation of the game's long awaited PvE Hero mode. Now, however, the launch of yesterday's February 10th first year long storyline, the Reign of Talon. Overwatch, the game formerly known as Overwatch 2, smashed its original concurrent Steam Peak of 75,608. And while we'd already seen a spike in players over the weekend, Sunday's peak of 69,135 players simultaneously has been almost tripled with SteamDB recording 165,651 concurrent Steam players overnight, marking an excellent start of the rebooted hero shooter. Is Overwatch back? Mikey?
Mike
Overwatch is back in a big way right now with a lot of energy, a lot of positivity around that community and what the team has added. For sure. Looking at the next year with, you know, the goal of having a narrative that will have a beginning, middle and end that will start to kick off a new narrative and bring you to the future that people love. Ten new heroes, five at the start is a big deal. Right. And of course, hearing the Steam numbers are high is fantastic. I'm always been a Blizznet client or a Blizzard. That client. What do they call it? Battlenet. Battlenet. Thank you. And so when I see those numbers, I. We always talk about Steam charts. It's like, hey, that's not the full picture. There's a lot of console you are playing on Xbox. And most importantly, I always think overwatch as a Battle.net launcher game. Right. Like that came to Steam not too long ago. So that number probably is much higher as well if you somehow got the Battle Net numbers on that. But yeah, big deal. A lot of positive energy, a lot of fun going in. The five new characters have a lot of fun kits to play, kind of some unique abilities, some whimsy with Jetpack Cat.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
So it seems like a really positive one right now.
Roger
What's the best out of the five heroes? What's your favorite? I guess.
Mike
I like Jetpack Cat because I'm a Jeff. I'm the Jeff the Landshark guy. So I do like trolling you. Yeah, I like the ultimate of being able to grab an opponent. Oh really bring you off the map. So yeah, I'm gonna be a Jetpack Cat. I feel.
Roger
Yeah, I, I Overwatch too. If it gets the Switch 2 update, I'm in. I'm sorry, Overwatch, rather I shouldn't call it. It's, it's, it's, it's. It's old. If it gets a Switch 2 update, I'm totally there because that. This excites me. This and also the hello Kitty Sanrio stuff. I was like, oh, this is really cute. Like I might be back for Overwatch. I loved Overwatch when it first came out. I just, you know, over year, the years just fell off, fell off, fell off. This is, it's exciting that they're, that they're able to kind of have this big moment and this relaunch. You think high Guard can ever do it.
Mike
You know what, Roger? Highguard did add 5v5 and the players did enjoy 5v5. And it's got me looking into SteamDB which I said, of course, don't trust the numbers. There's a lot of console players.
Roger
It's just a fraction.
Mike
But it was fun to jump into Steam DB and kind of look at some other shooter games and like what's going on right now on that space on Steam. So Overwatch with 165k for their peak right now. Rival sitting at 112k for just player base over 24 hours. 644k was their peak. Battlefield still going strong 51k, their peak was 7, 747,000. And then Call of Duty 43k with 491k was their highest. Remember, Call of Duty has bundled everything under one umbrella. When you type in Call of Duty and then counter strike two. Roger. 1.5 million players in the past 24 hours. That's a crazy number to see. It is when you talk in the hundreds of thousands.
Roger
And I don't mean this disrespectfully. Yeah, I love it and I'm so happy for you. All you guys are psychos. The fact that they're 2.5 million psychos that are playing Counter Strike 2 like the most. I love the game and I have my brother's like was a former competitive like actually like pro doing the. That is so frustrating. And the fact that 2.5 million people are like this is my game is really incredible.
Mike
15 past 24, 1.8 million was their highest peak.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
Remember counter strike two I believe is exclusively on Steam. So there is no other way of playing it. So that is home bases. All these other games I just went over have console. Really.
Roger
That's actually a really great call of like if that is like the all of everybody playing this one video game that is very successful, you probably would assume that a Marvel Rivals. That is probably what that is. When you add up everything at once, you probably had a 1.52 million.
Mike
I. You know. You don't think Marvel Rivals right Now is at 100.
Roger
Oh, never mind, never mind, never mind.
Mike
So like I think with console, I apologize, maybe it might be if I'm being happy with it, maybe 500k, 24 hours. I don't know about that. High guard though. 2,399 players past 24 hours. Their peak was 97. I did think that they were going to go over 100 their first weekend. They did not peek out over 100. It will be interesting to keep eyes on that. I don't know if you have Roger, but they have started to release their narrative.
Roger
Okay.
Mike
For multiplayer storytelling through YouTube videos. They've been pretty flashy cinematics, but the characters I see on that screen I don't connect with like I do with an Overwatch. Right. So unfortunately, it's not bringing me and going, I gotta learn more. Yeah, I got characters. But I will give him credit. Cinematics are very flashy. They do look cool.
Roger
It's one of those of like, if the game is not resonating with the people, then you can't put the coolest cinematics in the world out. And people are. They're just not going to connect with it. Right. Like, it's like it looks like any type of animation that you just have no connection with these characters with. You have to really like with. With Apex, right? Like playing that even for the first weekend and loving that. Like anytime they would do any of those commercials or trailers, I'm like, yeah, like, you know, the lifeline like this is these are my people. But if you're playing the game, you're not really into it.
Mike
Oh, and then you asked about art creators really quick past 24 hour peak, 248,000 players. So they have a solid base here that is second only to Counter Strike two. So our creators is doing their damn thing.
Roger
Shout out. Shout out. And we are doing our damn thing as well because we're going to tell you a little bit about our sponsors.

Not admitted without parent and we are back. I want to hop into a super chat before we get into our next story. This from Resolute who says, I spoke to the lead art director of Sly Dev Maiden this weekend and there was a canceled show and toys got to see art for the show and it looked so good. Would be a great interview. That's fucking crazy. You know what I mean? Like, why would you. Why would you. Why would you tell me something that I can't have, right? Like, why would you tell me about not only a canceled movie which they showed a trailer for, by the way. We all forget about that. We all forget about it. There's a trailer out there and Sly was looking sexier than ever in that one. And then you're telling me there's our show and there's toys. There's. What are we doing? Like, why does Astrobot have to dress up like Sly? Why does. Why does he get to dress up like Sly? And then we're like, oh, this is slight Cooper game. Oh, we get ape escape inside of Astrobot. That's fake what are we doing? You can't just make. I'm so angry. I'm so angry. Mike, you replace Sly Cooper.
Mike
No, I like. I probably played a little bit of it, but not. It's not my guy.
Roger
Well, I know who is your guy. Jason Momoa.
Mike
Momoa is my guy.
Roger
Story number three, Jason Momoa is set for the Health Divers movie and we have a release date this from Anthony D' Alessandro over at Deadline. Jason Momoa will star in PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures film adaptation of Helldivers based on Arrowhead Game Studios video game franchise. Justin Lin will helm and and the Pick will hit theaters on November 10, 2027. So just a little bit over a year from now shooting. You better. We better figure this out right the fuck now.
Mike
Oh, shit.
Roger
Jason bowl wakes up, is like, oh shit, I gotta make this movie. Helldivers 2's story centers around an elite unit of soldiers known as Helldivers who must battle alien creatures threatening to destroy the fictional planet of Super Earth. Hutch Parker, Police Change Productions, Assad Kizilbash and Lynn, through his Perfect Storm Entertainment, are producing. Mike, is this the best news ever?
Mike
I mean, it does make me smile, right? Like Dave or Jason Momoa. Well, here I'm getting to my fan casting in a moment. Jason Momoa in a Helldivers movie. That's a big hell yeah for Mike. Okay, but we also. Sony, we have a big moment here. We could steal the dreamed of Gears of War movie. Call him Dave Bautista. Get him alongside our boy Jason Momoa and let's just make our own Gears of War movie. Women of Tail Divers.
Roger
That is the whole cast. Smart. That is the smartest you've ever said.
Mike
We'll make our own.
Roger
We'll just do it all.
Mike
I mean, I'm super excited about this. Helldivers, the movie is just Starship Troopers. Yeah, okay, we've already. We've been there, done that. But now they get like scary Terminator robots that they can mix in here, all the different factions. It's going to be a lot of.
Roger
It's just going to be like, to me, this is just going to be another generic action sci fi movie, right? Like it is like a place to play with. And the fact that you have Justin Lin directing, it's like, okay, you know what this movie is, right? Like it is very much based on the director and the vision behind it. Because Hell Divers is you just have the. You have the armor and you have the people and then you have the vibe of like, you know, fake, funny propaganda that you know, we're doing that Starship Troopers vibe. You also don't want to make a Starship Troopers type thing. You kind of want to kind of ride that.
Mike
A little cerebral with it.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
What if we go Edge of Tomorrow? Jason Momoa wakes up every time he dies. Okay.
Roger
Just.

A.J.
Mike
He tries to break out of the propaganda. Tries to break out of the simulation.
Roger
A part of me doesn't believe that Sony is going to make, like, a real Helldivers movie. They're going to do, like, some weird, like, meta thing, like Jumanji. Oh. I mean, he's going to be playing Hell Divers. I love this video game Helldivers created for the PlayStation 5 console.
Barrett
Jack Black is also in it.
Mike
Thank you, Ben. I was just going to say, just so you know, Jack Black will be the next person announced for this movie. Like, that is a get ready layup. He will be in this movie. Kevin Hart, the Rock, they'll all be in this movie as well.
Barrett
I like, you know, I understand of, like, maybe them wanting to, like, distance themselves with Starship Troopers with, like, a movie adaptation, but I'd say lead into it. Like, just give us, like, a, you know, like a modern iteration take on Starship Troopers and, like, lean into the campy campiness and ridiculousness of it, which I think would be fantastic.
Mike
Vin Diesel would be great for this. Vin Diesel.
Barrett
Were they perfect?
Roger
He would be great.
Mike
He would be fit.
Roger
He would be awesome. But no, but here's the thing. Anything he touches, he just infects, right? Like, he will. He will somehow not even executive produce. He will be the only producer on this movie. He will be. He'll be moving the movie to Monaco. Like, he'll be inviting every single person he knows. You know, everybody's gonna be.
Mike
Michelle Rodriguez will be, of course.
Roger
Yes, of course.
Mike
The whole crew.
Roger
Ludicrous.
Mike
Ludicrous Will show up. Tyrese will show up.
Roger
Tyrese will definitely show up.
Mike
Bow wow. We'll get a call.
Roger
We'll get the call.
Mike
Yeah. Yeah. I love this. I love this. I think you have a lot of room to make some fun here. I do think you're kind of out of the old man. Helldivers had the world in a chokehold vibe a couple years ago, but, like, it's still a great.
Roger
I just.
Mike
It's still a lot of fun.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I don't.
Roger
I don't know if I fully agree where it's like, okay, so Sony's whole thing, like, let me take you to, like, the story of what's going on with Sony Productions and Pictures, Right. Is that they. I alluded to it. They don't have properties. They don't have film properties that are working right now. They have Sony, they have Spider Man. Right. Like, that's the thing that they own, right? Yeah. So, yeah, but like, they don't have things that are like the big property. They don't have a Jurassic Park. They don't have a Minions. They don't have these things. So now they're really dipping into PlayStation. That is like their genuine focus of like, we're going to take PlayStation properties and make them into movies, which I think is great. That's awesome. That's super smart. Right? Of course.
Mike
You have a God of War was big.
Roger
You have God of War. They're doing. They have Horizon that is allegedly being made. Right. Like, that has been canceled. Rebroad, whatever. But it's like Helldivers to me does not necessarily scream like the one of the first ones out the gate that you got to put a bunch of money behind. I don't know. It doesn't feel like it has, like, unless there's like a mass. Like a great pitch from Justin Lin of like, oh, I got this amazing idea for an awesome space action movie that's gonna hit. Like, this feels screams like something that would be like on Amazon that's not gonna really hit or do, you know, fine numbers at the box office, but barely make its money back.
Mike
I mean, you're right, Roger. But like, at this point, they are literally dipping into every property they already have. They did an uncharted movie. They did a Last of Us television show like you brought up. They're doing God of War and they're doing Horizon zero Dawn. Like, they've already. They're doing all of them. So at this point, yeah, we've already made it to Hell Divers territory somehow so quickly because we are doing every single one of them.
Roger
Yeah, yeah, I forget. They made Uncharted. That pissed me off just now. That made me really sad.
Mike
We're already deep into. We're into B tier franchises now, right? Yeah, Hell Divers is great, but like, we're already dipping into what's next. Yeah, we got the big dog already out.
Roger
We got to start figuring out Days Gone.
Barrett
Like, they made Uncharted into a B tier, C tier property with that movie. Like, in the movie for like.
Roger
Well, that's also Mark Wahlberg's fault exclusively because Mark Wahlberg was supposed to be Nathan Drake, but then they took so long making the movie that he was still attached to it so that he had to become Sully. And then they just ruined that movie. So we're just.
Mike
Yeah, we can't get mad at Marky Mark.
Roger
Mike, I don't think you know about Marky Mark history.
Mike
I hope you don't. A lot of bad Mark can be.
Roger
Mad at Marky Mark.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Can be mad at Marky Mark.
Mike
A lot of bad marks.
Barrett
One person who I do want in the Hell Divers movie, we need to put respect on his name because he was, you know, he like brought in the Helldivers universe with Helldivers too, is Craig Lee Thomas, a great voice actor who is very well known for this. Took a class from him a year or two ago and he's great and I would love to have him recognized in like the.
Roger
Mike's casting it. He's in.
Barrett
Thank you, Mike.
Mike
He's in. Bear, you want to be in.
Roger
And he's in.
Barrett
Come me off in like the first five minutes. That would be fun. That would be a fun little one.
Mike
Next to Momoa. That's the questions. Who's next to Momoa?
Roger
Jack.
Barrett
What?
Roger
I don't think it's Jack.
Mike
I need a badass female lead as well. A badass lady.
Roger
Chat. Super chat. Let us know story number four. A new Silent Hill transmission presentation is coming this week with new info on Silent Hill Townfalls from Chris Scullion over at vgc. Side note, Silent Hill transmission. What a great name for these directs. What a.
Mike
What a great transmission.
Roger
Whoever over there over at Konami did that. Great. Good on you. Konami has announced that a new Silent Hill transmission presentation will take place later this week. According to Konami, the presentation will reveal, quote, the latest updates from the Silent Hill series with a particular focus on Silent Hill Townfall. The Silent Hill transmission will take place on Thursday, February 12th at 4pm PT. Given that PlayStation has already announced the State of Play presentation for the Same day at 2pm, this means that the Silent Hall Silent Hill transmission will take place roughly an hour after the state of play ends. Silent Hill Townfall is the latest of four Silent Hill projects that were announced during a Silent Hill Transmission back in October 2022. Man. Good on them. Good on them for like banging these games out. Oh, you're looking at me.
Mike
I mean, they're banging them out. Roger, you're scared.
Roger
You're giving me a little worried. Okay, tell me.
Mike
I didn't love Silent Hill F. I liked Silent Hill F. And I know our situation was different.
Roger
Very specific.
Mike
But here's the deal. I. I would like them to take a little bit of time and make these great right? Like Resident Evils right now are an all time pitch of like really good. Silent Hill 2 came back and it's like yeah, new players are interested, right? And I didn't feel that but buzz that momentum after Silent Hill F and then they were like, we're going to turn this thing out. It's like, okay, well you got a good property here. Let's try to make it great.
Roger
It's so for me, Silent Hill F of course, if for anyone doesn't know and is like why the didn't they love Silent Hill F like everyone else did? Mike and I were handcuffed in a room dressed up as Japanese school girls playing it for 24 hours straight. So we did beat the game like that. So big asterisk on all of our opinions. I enjoyed Silent Hill F a lot. I, I of course was sleep deprived. Of course I didn't really know what the I was doing, but I loved what I was looking at. I enjoyed a lot of the combat. I thought it was really fun. I wish I played it in a normal setting, but I, I, apparently it sold really well. As Rayman in the chat is saying right now, I, I'm, I, I think my hesitation is more of like, hey guys, let's take two years in between each of them. It's less of like the quality of it because I think they have built out like a good foundation other than the, what was the name of the media? Yeah, the social media one that people just started putting Kojima.
Mike
Two of those, right?
Roger
Yeah, no, I think they had. Oh yes. No, they had that one and then they had like a pt like that wasn't very. Yeah, so they had those two misses but I think those are smaller projects anyway.
Mike
So like Silent Hill, the message. Yes, yes.
Roger
And so for me, I think two years is a good amount of time in between these Silent Hill games. I don't want the every single year we're getting a new Silent Hill game because I just don't, I, I'm sure it has the juice because it is kind of a blanket. Like you know, fog creeps up anywhere. You can do that forever. But I don't know, every, every two years seems like a good cadence for it. Especially since we have this. And then we also have a remake of Silent Hill 1 coming out in the next few years from Bloober. And also Bloober's making their own games. So it's like we're really hard up right now. You know, we're hard up right now. Horror up. Not hard up. Hard. No, I up. We're hard up. We're hard. We're hard up too. I mean, pull up the image. Pull up the image again. Pull up the Sly Cooper image. I'm definitely hard up when I look at him. But we have. Oh shit, that's a better image. Fucking. Oh my God. The Montoya fox. Come on. We have a lot of horror right now. We're eating. We're talking about Reanimal in a second. I think I can wait two years for every Silent Hill game, but I'm excited for. I'm excited to see what they're doing here.
Mike
If a follow up at 4 o' clock means we'll probably see something.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
At the state of play.
Roger
Yeah.
Mike
And then there's more following that.
Roger
Well, you never really know. I feel like usually you don't usually do like the countdowns or any of those things that relate to something that's like a stuff state of play or direct. So I'm a little iffy on that.
Mike
But maybe I think you see that state of play and then you get the big follow up after.
Roger
Here it is. Yeah. Yeah, maybe. Yeah. Here's the trailer. Watch this thing right afterwards to do it. Learn more Story number five Grasshopper has another game coming this year While physical and Switch two versions of Romeo as a Dead man are in the works, this is also from Chris Scullion at vgc. Grasshopper manufacturer, founder and CEO says the studio plans to release another new game by the end of the year. In a video statement posted to the studio's official YouTube channel to mark the release of Romeo as a Deadman today, Suda stated that Romeo is a Deadman won't be the only Grasshopper game released this year. It's almost 100% certain that we will be releasing one more game during 2026, Suda said. What kind of game? When can we announce it? We're not sure just yet, but if you wait a little longer, I feel like we'll be able to make an announcement soon. Keep checking out our various events, media and videos like this and sooner or later we'll have the big announcement ready for you all. Please keep an eye out and look forward to it. Elsewhere in the video, Suda gave an update on players requests for a Switch 2 version, physical release and art book for Romeo as a Deadman. According to Suda, the studio had hoped to release an art book and soundtrack in time for the game's release, but but it didn't work out in time and people should hold on a bit longer. We'll be sure to get them out. As for physical version, Suda explained, we're currently in talks with several companies trying to get physical versions out, and we're doing whatever we can to make it happen. So please wait just a bit more for this too. We'll announce it as soon as it's finalized, so we appreciate all of your patience. In an update on the Switch 2 version, Suda also noted that work is still underway on trying to port the game to Nintendo's new system, saying, quote, we're doing what we can to make it happen. So again, please give us a little more time. Yeah, it makes sense that especially with the Switch 2 version of, like, that game doesn't run too great on PS5 from what I've played and I've seen what Blessing has talked to me about, so I'm sure optimizing it for Switch 2 is a bit tough. Mike, are you. Have you tried a Sudo game? Have you ever played any of that?
Mike
No, I have not. Yeah, I thought maybe I'd try this. Romeo is a dead man this week. Yeah, I don't know if I'll vibe with it or not, but I'm interested enough.
Roger
Yeah, I played a little bit of it. I played about maybe 30 to 40 minutes. Wasn't my thing. I think it's. It's one of those. And I don't mean this as a. As an actual. Like, this is my criticism of the game. It was just a little bit too out there where it was like, there's nothing for me to grab onto. Right. Like, I like weirdness in video games. Like a Kojima, where it's like, oh, there's like a core story that's happening, but there's weirdness all around it. This game was just so, like, in your face. Like, everything's going crazy. We're changing ourselves. We're doing so many different things. We're changing with the timeline in like the first 40 minutes. So I'm like, bro, I don't even know what to hold on to right now. But I'm. I enjoy that you were able to make this happen.
Mike
Right.
Roger
Like, I enjoy that you were able to make such weird, crazy out there art. And I did, like, from the small amount of gameplay that I was able to have, I enjoyed it, thought it was fine. But yeah, I. I'm interested to. To maybe check out after meeting Suda. I'm like, man, that guy's so fucking cool. The whole team is cool. I'm excited. Whatever.
Mike
We on the next game.
Roger
Then maybe, maybe we'll come back for another. Gamescast plays story number six. A Reanimal review roundup. We got a Metacritic sitting at 81 and an open critic sitting at 80. Matt Wales over at Eurogamer gives the game a 5 out of 5. Tarsier returns to horror with a rich, meaningful evolution of its familiar Little Nightmares formula. And while it could perhaps be a little more radical, Reanimal remains utterly compelling. Bleak, nasty and full of menace. Sean Prescott over at PC Gamer gave the game a 74 out of 100. Re animal doesn't meaningfully develop Tarsier's approach to gameplay in the little Nightmares games, but it's grim sight. It's a grim sight to behold and a worthwhile horror adventure. And Mark straeger over at Cog Connected gave the game an 84 out of 100, saying. Reanimal takes its cues from primal childhood trauma and the deep seated fears that most people carry through life. It adds layers of familiar feeling, puzzles and terrifying monsters to a game that looks a lot like a little nightmare sibling. With the ability to play the game with another terrified human, Reanimal is all the more scary and memorable. I've been playing it, I'm about halfway through the game. 55% is what my PlayStation clock is saying right now. Probably about three hours into the game. I would say, if I'm guesstimating, I, I enjoyed a lot, especially playing with Lianza. It's a, it's a fun time. I think I, in my first play session I was like, kind of met with like, oh shit, I forgot how Little Nightmares games played, right? Which it is kind of like you have to figure out exactly the way that the game developer designed every single puzzle and element and, and layer. So it's like, it's not like any stealth game, right? Where you're running around, you're like, okay, well I'll hide behind here and I'll, I'll kind of like juke the guy out and he'll run around and no, it's like you, the, the monster is going to be coming in this direction. You have to find this very specific place that they want you to hide behind. And if you don't, if you and your, if you and your co op partner, which, you know, they added co op in this one so it makes it even harder, right? So it's like if you want, if your co op partner is like a little bit off with the geometry and the way that they made this out, you're. And you have to redo the entire segment. It's a little bit frustrating and I, I love the way this game looks. It is so gorgeous. It is like concept art come to life. I love the vibes of these little nightmares games and this one is just fucking awe inspiring. It is incredible, is nasty, it is gorgeous. I just, I would love for this team to like really level up the gameplay. That is my biggest like critique and like thing that I would love to see from them is they have gameplay, they have, you know, combat in there, they have, you know, stealth. But it feels very like, hey, we're just, we just give you enough to just get to the next like chase sequence, to the next, you know, vista moment. Right. It doesn't feel as fleshed out as it, it could feel. And I would love to see what this team would do if they had more budget, more time to do something where it has maybe not a parry but like a dodge. You know what I mean? Like you actually have combat in there or you have, you know, the ability to, you know, fake out somebody that's, you know, following you. It just feels like very much like this is a on rails experience and if you fuck up that on rails experience that is not very clear, you're going to have to go back to before. So yeah, again, I had a great, good time with it. I'm gonna finish it. I just didn't love that. I also would say that the co op in the very beginning feels like, okay, we're just adding another player. It gets better over time. They have some fun. Okay, well now you guys, I don't spoil anything but like now you guys are dealing with puzzles in a different way because we changed things up. So some good stuff there. And yeah, I'm definitely going to be finishing.
Mike
When you talk about going to that elevating that co op experience, do you think that will still be fun with an AI, you know, solo player?
Roger
Honestly, there's part of me where I'm like, I, I would actually prefer playing with a. So with a, with an AI person. Not, not. No Shade at Leonza. She's great. She's great at the game and everything. It's just more of like I, I remembered why I liked Little Nightmares and it is like, oh, you have to see the vision. You have to see like the exactly the way the game is building out like these scenarios and if one person is off, like I'm off, I'm up or something. It's like it up everything. You have to restart. It takes a while. So. So I actually would like to see how the AI and how smart it is. Of like, if I just know what I'm doing, will the AI just follow me and figure it out and then we're good. It is interesting, but you can play it either way. Okay, so shout out.
Mike
I'll play this Friday.
Roger
He's gonna play Friday. He's gonna play it this Friday, everybody. Actually, you are scheduled to play it on Monday as well. So I don't know. With Andy.
Mike
I'm gonna play it alone.
Roger
Andy.
Mike
Andy.
Roger
But if Andy were to hang out with you and come to your house, that'd be really big.
Mike
If he was gonna ride this bullet train.
Roger
But if I was looking for something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
Mike
That would be a big deal. And I would take you to our last story, the WE News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about WE News.
Roger
Everybody. Reluded Review roundup. Got a little trailer we're going to show. Description Read for heists. Sorry. Ready for heists to meet history. Reclaim real African artifacts in Reluded. An African futuristic heist game available now with Xbox Game Pass. OpenCritic is sitting at a pretty 83 checkpoint. Gaming gave it a 7.5 out of 10. AV Club gave it an 83 out of 100. And Gaming Trend gave it a 90 out of 100. Reluded makes you feel like you're a mastermind and escaping is thrilling. But there are just enough problems that drag the experience down to the point you can't ignore them. That looks really cool. I will be trying this out. Come to Switch 2, please. According to Bilbil Kuhn, Marvel's Spider Man 2 is being added to PlayStation plus extra catalog this month. Shout out to that. And Oceanhorn 3 launches March 5th on April. Sorry. On Apple Arcade. And this is a big one for me. Mikey Might change my life. Subnautica and subnautica below zero come to switch to on February 17th.
Mike
Now, Mike, give us Subnautica to pay those motherfucking developers.
Roger
Yes.
Mike
Let's get there.
Roger
Let's get there. But like, let's just stop waiting for. Let's talk about Subnautica. We got the music.
Mike
It's a must play video game.
Roger
People talk about, you know, like, oh, if I. Like, if I lose the weight, I'll change my life. Right? I lost the weight. I still have a hole in my heart. Right? I found the love of my life and she completes me, but I still have that hole in my heart. There's Something that I'm missing.
Mike
Right. I know it would fill it if I.
Roger
If I. If I.
Mike
If I have.
Roger
I would love for Sly Cooper to fill it. But the major thing is I just look at Subnautica and I'm like, this might complete me. This might actually fix me. I feel it in my.
Mike
Subnautica.
Roger
No.
Mike
Do you know anything about Subnautics?
Roger
Not really.
Mike
Okay, good. Because Subnautica is a game that if you. Right now, there's people out there who have played it, like me, who understand it. There are people who have never seen it or maybe have never tried it. Go in completely blind, do not look up anything. Just ride that lightning, and you will have an experience of a life.
Roger
I think Subnautica is gonna change my life.
Mike
I just feel it rocks, man. Underwater crafting, survival sim game. So much fun. No, it's not multiplayer. Yeah, maybe there's a mod, but, like, we're waiting for Subnautica 2, because that's multi.
Roger
Oh, okay, Gotcha.
Mike
Well, pay the numbers below zero.
Roger
It's possible.
Mike
I mean, I like below zero, but it's like I'm a Subnautica one guy.
Roger
Well, I will be getting a code and I will be trying it out. We got a bunch of super chats before we end out today. My computer's freaking the out Claw master super chats and says, has Snowback Mike seen the Quad God yet from the Olympics?
Mike
Show me the Quad God.
Roger
I'm scared about the Quad God. Is someone hurting themselves? Probably not.
Mike
No. I've probably got incredible quads.
Roger
We have Raymond Super Chat and said if KF formed a band, what kind of musical. Oh, that is. The Quad God is a. If K formed a band, what kind of musical music and instruments would y' all play? What would be the name? Imo, Mike should MC and Nick should be the drum line.
Mike
Nice. I want to be the merch guy. I just want to sit at the merch booth.
Roger
That's what you say every time we talk about a live show. You're like, I won't be on it. Just let me.
Mike
I'll be the merch.
Roger
I'll dap up everybody. Don't worry.
Mike
Well, have you heard about the latest kind of funny live event that will happen?
Roger
What's up?
Mike
When it goes down the take, my emporium will open Snowback mics. Flea market.
Roger
I've not heard about this.
Mike
All of my. I'm bring to the parking lot. You can take it.
Roger
That's so funny. Jesus. Remember when you got upset when I took something that you Were never gonna use. It was. It was a copy of Space Marine 2. You were like, oh, yeah, I'm keeping that. I'm like, why are you keeping that? You're like, I don't know. And I'm like, I'm gonna take it. And then you got up. We got a few more super chats before we go to your wrong. We have Aaron Lime says dip into those older IP Fat Princess movie, I guess, Loco Roko anime. Roll out the old properties. Whatever. Something not just the Last of Us and God of War. I mean, they announced that they were doing that a little bit. Not Fat Princess, of course, but they're doing a patapon anime or animated show. They said they were doing a Gravity Rush animated show. So it's like we're. We're picking and choosing the most. The weirdest ips right now. It's like you have the two, which I understand God of War, yada. But it's like again, Sly Cooper's a. Is. Is a. Is a. Is a furry that goes around and steals people's shit. Like he has. He has the Riz. We have Ratchet and Clank. We can do something with them.
Mike
Yeah.
Roger
What do we do?
Barrett
We tried something with Ratchet, but we.
Roger
Can do more with them. We. That isn't just like a glorified like a bunch of cutscenes from the. From the game. Pretty much like, we can do something more.
Barrett
Wasn't it the other way around where it was like.
Roger
Oh, was it?
Barrett
I think it was like the cutscenes in the remake of the original game were all just cinematics from the movie.
Roger
We can do more.
Barrett
We can do more.
Roger
Gary the Third. I'm sorry. For some reason my super chats are just cut off, so I'm just seeing the beginning of your name. So I'm just going to read that like that. Gary the. I'm assuming it's third. Yeah. Katie o' Brien for Hell Divers. She's buff and funny. She is awesome. I love Katie o'. Brien. That's a shot. That's a great call. And then the last one we're going to get to is El Captain 22. Mike and Barrett. Did you see skate the infinity season two was announced.
Mike
Do you see that, Barrett? No, for real, for real, for real, for real. Shut up. For real, for real.
Barrett
For all the people out there who don't know what we're talking about, this is a show. This is an anime that Mike and I have been waiting and talking about on kind of anime for years. It's Just a. It's a. Just a bunch of dudes riding skateboards instead of, you know, coming to terms with their feelings and just wanting to, you know, like, be in relationships with each other, they just go shredded. And it's so good. And I. We've been waiting for the second season for season two.
Mike
Holy. That was all my.
Roger
Holy.
Mike
Let's go, dude.
Roger
That's sick.
Mike
Hell yeah.
Roger
And then we have some. Your wrongs. I'm gonna pull that up. Give me a second. Give me a second. Everybody. Give me a second. But I don't think we got anything wrong. A lot of people writing shit.
Mike
Oh, okay.
Roger
A lot of people write. I don't know if this was like. No, this is all from. No, this is from yesterday. A lot of people saying things. Sorry. So much stuff. Talk to the audience.
Mike
Okay. He's going through it all. Hi, audience. We have a really awesome day planned for you after this. We're gonna have a fun games cast into a games cast plays which is going to be great. The end of this week, we're going to play Mario Tennis fever with full motion controls. I haven't played the game. Andy and Greg got the code for a review which you should check out yesterday's games cast. But I'm looking forward to and hoping big things, some motion controls. They didn't make it seem like it was. So we'll cross our fingers for a fun Friday games cast. We'll have full outfits. Maybe referee Roger will come out, drop the ball and we'll have some fun.
Roger
Okay, we got a few that we're going through right here. Burnt screen says basically that the silent hill transmission could definitely be in referring to or connected to the state of play because they've done it before. So shout out. Good job, Mikey.
Mike
Thank you.
Roger
We have over switch saying a great one. Which switch to update for Overwatch is up is announced and that'll be coming this spring. So that's exciting right there.
Mike
And.
Roger
I think we should be good.
Mike
They said Overwatch 2 or Overwatch. So Overwatch. Yeah. Overwatch is coming to Switch 2. Yep.
Roger
And that is it, everybody. Erin in the chat says Roger does drop the ball often. Ban yourself.
Mike
He'd be dropping balls. Get this out of this podcast.
Roger
Inside a slide. Cooper, everybody. This has been kind of funny Games Daily, if you love. We do support us with the kind of funny membership on Patreon or YouTube to get all of our shows ad free and get a daily exclusive show. Enjoy the games cast next, which is going to be.
Mike
Can I say it?
Roger
Yeah. Right it's already out there. Yeah, Everybody's going. Say it.
Mike
A Poketopia preview. Ah.
Roger
You're banned. You couldn't say that. Why, Mike?
Mike
Why would you.
Roger
Why would you leak that? Why would you leak that?
Barrett
Why would you say that, Mike?
Roger
No, I'm joking you, Mike.
Mike
We got you, Greg.
Roger
And until next time, it's been a pleasure to serve you.
