Today's stories include Nintendo uploads, a very strange video marathon lives, and Mina the Hollower has been delayed. Love all this and more because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily. Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games daily for Tuesday, October 7, 2025. I want your host blessing add OA Jr joining me is the master of hype, Snowbike Mike.
B
Bless. What up? Big documents yesterday on Kind of Funny Games Daily 2000.
A
Yep.
B
I'm happy to bring in the new century with you.
A
2001 vibes.
B
2001.
A
The 2001 about to take over.
B
Here it comes.
A
What was your favorite thing about 2001?
B
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
A
Yeah. Yeah, I like that. That's really good. That's a really, really good answer. You can't get better than that. How are you feeling after yesterday?
B
Blessed. I'm feeling really good. Took myself a nice little walk. We were talking about snow.
A
Mike.
B
Mike. Getting back in shape, getting healthy. And so I took a nice little walk and then played a lot of Kingdom Come, Deliverance two. How about yourself?
A
I'm feeling good. Yesterday I played more Hades 2. I'm still stuck on Hades 2. It's actually becoming not a problem because I'm really enjoying myself. I think that's the thing. We're in video game release season. There are so many video games to play. And I think for the last maybe month or so, there's been a little bit of fatigue because I've been going hard. Right. Okay. We reviewed Ghost of Yote, but reviewed Sonic Racing, cross Worlds, reviewed Hades 2. And there's like a level of I'm not gonna climb out of. Cause I still wanna play more. Silksong. I only played the first few hours, man. I just started Kingdom Come, Deliverance two. I wanna play more of that to get more impressions in all that stuff. Right? And I think because of that, I've been turning video games into work. But one video game has been standing out among the rest as not feeling like work. And that is Hades 2.
B
Good.
A
Hades 2 was such a natural. Man. I wanna play this right now. I'm talking to you, Mike. I'll be honest. I'd rather be playing Hades 2 right now. I fucking love Hades too.
B
That's what we're all looking for is that fun game that we just can't get enough of.
A
Yeah.
B
What takes over our mind. You know what took over my mind? And still on top of my mind. I tell you this every morning. It's Magic the Gathering.
A
Oh.
B
Do you mind ever since that Spider man pre release party that I went to, four out of the five events over three days, I can't stop thinking about magic.
A
Hell yeah.
B
It's all I want to do. It's my favorite thing around, bro.
A
Be careful because, like, they don't tell you this, but not even once. You know what I mean? Once you play magic once, it then turns into an addiction.
B
Be careful.
A
And be careful because it will consume you like it's consumed me.
B
We got some fun news today.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
A little bit of a smaller news day. That's all right. We're starting off games daily 2001 a light day.
A
Are you holding your Kingdom Come Deliverance to impressions? Where are you at with Kingdom Come Deliverance to? Because I'm not talking about this.
B
I'm down to vibe with you. Talk with you. I'm on adventures right now in Kingdom Come Deliverance too. I think people have played this game. They know that it is a kind of.
A
I don't.
B
I don't know how to describe it, but it's a slower, more methodical game. Right. There's a really fun, rich narrative going on. I enjoy the stories, I enjoy the tales and the quests that I'm going on. There is something to it where you can spend four hours and feel like you've accomplished nothing, but really, you've accomplished a lot.
A
Right.
B
I'm dirt poor in this game. I got to get to work. So I'm clocking in nine to five at the blacksmith. I'm out there pounding horseshoes. I'm out here pounding swords. And then I got to sell it back to him and he's not giving me a good deal. Okay. I'm trying to haggle him, and if you haggle wrong one time, he says no more. And so I, you know, I'm trying to get my money up. Bless.
A
Yeah.
B
So I can go out there and get armor. I need a bow. This man promised me a bow. Didn't come through on that bow, and I'm going to remember that. But he did give me a house that I can now sleep in whenever I want. And I steal his food on the daily. So I'm always up.
A
Always up. Always up.
B
Little does he know I'm up.
A
So I. I played probably about what, three to three to four hours somewhere in that. Because I did just two streams of it and I. I've not played nearly enough to like, really get a full gauge of the breadth of this game because this game is gigantic and seeing. And as I'm playing people are telling me, like, yo, you're just in the beginning. You're just the beginning. And even by the time I finish, around the time I finished my second stream, finally got to, like, the title sequence of the game, I was like, damn, dude. This shit is only. This shit is really just beginning. But what I will say is, in that first three hours, I. Not that I wanted to be a hater, Mike, because I never want to, like, dislike any game, but there's, like, a level of, you know, aggression when it comes to the audience being like, you guys gotta play Kingdom Come Deliverance, too. To the point where, like, y' all overdo it sometimes and y' all make it so that we want to resent games sometimes. They're like, you gotta play Kingdom Come Deliverance, too. Oh, y' all don't know shit until you play Kingdom. I start playing, I'm like, all right, let's see what's up. I'm not going to lie, Mike. This has the sauce.
B
It's.
A
This has the sauce.
B
The world, the music, the vibe is all there. Yeah, there are some frustrating moments. The saves are kind of awkward and weird. You know, you got to drink a potion to save.
A
Yeah, I'll do that.
B
Got to save and exit.
A
When I learned that, that was definitely, like, very odd.
B
The checkpoints, very frustrating if you fail. The combat is difficult at first. The combat is kind of wonky and not fun. It definitely doesn't feel like 2025 combat that you're playing in other games. It is much more. They want you to be slow. They want you to be thoughtful.
A
It feels like. It feels like it wants to be Elder scrolls in the mid-2000s.
B
Yes. And I'm like, just so you know, Skyrim, like, we passed that.
A
You know what I mean?
B
Like, we got past that.
A
Skyrim gave you magic hands.
B
Exactly. I'm just thinking. And this game is like, oh, you got to swing to the left, then swing to the right, then swing up on top and. And do a combo. And I'm over here talking with Tom Tomcat, and Tom Tomcat's like, you got to learn how to combo. I'm like, homie, I'm hitting the combo, but it's just not doing it. Yeah, but I'm going to get it.
A
I'm going to get it. He's going to get it. I'm going. Keep going. It's funny because I describe it as a game that has very obvious quality to it, but I don't know if it's for me, like, I'm going To give it, I think, one more sit down or one more stream, right? Just so I can, like, actually get into the world a little bit more. But let's. The more I play it, the more I'm like, oh, this is obviously an excellently made video game. When I look at the cutscenes, I'm like, damn, this feels like I'm watching a movie. The character performances are awesome. The environments look gorgeous. Even the menu ui, when you look into the menu. Oh, my God.
B
Map.
A
The map.
B
That map.
A
Why? Why do the menus have good lighting? Why is the lighting immaculate in the menus? Like, there's so much that it has going for it, and there's obvious quality there, but it's also one of those things where I'm like, okay, I can acknowledge that this game, so far, at least, excellent. Is it my thing? Is it my jam? Or do I just want to go back and play some more Hades too? We'll see.
B
It's gonna be a lot of hours to invest in this.
A
I am glad I booted it up to at least check it out a little bit.
B
You should boot up Digimon now.
A
I. I played the preview. I play. I played the preview. I know.
B
It gets better past the preview.
A
Yeah, yeah. Well, they did jump me forward. Here's the thing. I played parts of it where I was like, oh, this is really good. I don't know if I'm about to devote my life. How much of it have you played?
B
Seven hours.
A
You played seven hours.
B
You just had a whole day where I just played it. Digimon, bro. I got that, fat man. I got that.
A
Is it called Fatmon?
B
Well, you know, I don't think so. When I call that, it's a cute little jelly bean, you know?
A
Did you watch Digimon growing up?
B
I did. Way, way, way back in the day.
A
Okay.
B
I. I watched finally, like, the first couple seasons of Digimon because it was right before I went to elementary school. Bless is how I would wake up. You'd wake up, it would go, Pokemon X Men, Digimon. And then if you woke up really early, you got Sailor Moon. Oh, take it all off.
A
I love Sailor Moon.
B
I'm a Sailor Moon kid.
A
Yeah, dude.
B
So that. That was my rock and block, if you woke up correctly, and you would leave for school, and X Men would just be turning on, so you get that sick guitar riff. And then you'd be like, I got to run out to get the bus.
A
I was going to ask which X Men, but. Yeah, you.
B
You're doing that old X. I was.
A
Watching X Men Evolution was Evolution, the Cartoon Network one from the early 2000s. That was my dude. Oh, there was a Nightcrawler episode where they talked about like where he goes between teleports. That shit's crazy. It's not weird.
B
Where did that guy go?
A
Where does he go? I'll tell you where we're going. Into video game news. Because remember, this is kind of funny Games Daily. Each and every weekday we run you through the nerdy news and needs know about live on YouTube, Twitch and all podcast services around the globe. If you love what we do, support us with the kind of funny membership on Patreon, YouTube, Spotify and Apple podcasts to get all of our shows ad free, watch us record them live and get a daily exclusive show for a chance to be a part of the show. Some of your thoughts and opinions as YouTube super chats as we go. Housekeeping for you. We're an 11 person business all about live talk shows. So today after kfd, you're going to get Gamescast, which are our hopes, dreams and predictions for Marvel's Wolverine. Very much looking forward to that one. Were we supposed to prepare things for this episode? I probably should have asked.
B
I'm not on this. So I'm hoping for Storm from X Men. I love Storm. Spidey man reference. Maybe Spidey shows up and a whole lot of blood.
A
Okay. I was gonna. I was waiting for you to say something that had to do with not another character. It's not Wolverine. You're like, man, I can't wait for all the other Marvel characters.
B
I want Storm to show up.
A
I want Storm. Give me Sabertooth. I want Sabertooth to show up. Want them to throw hands. So that's happening as games Cast. Then after Games cast is the kind of funny podcast, then the stream is the Call of Duty beta. This is what I'm going to do. I'm going to go into the games cast slack. Okay. And ask were we or no? Are we?
B
Should we have prep for this?
A
Are we supposed to.
B
Yeah, you should probably always prep for.
A
This Wolverine episode because I'm not going to have time anyway because I'm here. But maybe during.
B
I'll think if they'll bring you ideas and you'll. You'll hit them with the counter ideas because now.
A
Yeah. If I seem like I'm a million miles away.
B
Yeah.
A
It's because I'm thinking about Wolverine things.
B
Don't worry, I got you. You know, because I'm about to deep dive into this trailer we're going to talk about.
A
There we go. Turn off my brain. I'm gonna let you go off on this Nintendo thing. That way I can just go into my mind palace and think about Wolverine. After Gamescast is the stream, which is the Call of Duty Beta.
B
Yeah, Spartan says. Who wants to watch the Call of Duty Beta? Spartan, you have to remember that we have a Call of Duty fanatic here in the office. Yeah, it's not Mike and Roger. It's Nick Scarpino, who last week Call of Duty dropped the beta on like a Thursday or a Wednesday and Nick hasn't played it once. So Nick is excited to finally jump into Call of Duty. He wants to give his impressions. Will he like Call of duty Black Ops 7? Will he like Omni Movement Plus? We're gonna find out today. It's a big deal.
A
They added A plus to Omni.
B
Now you wall bounce. Now you wall bounce.
A
I love marketing.
B
It's so sick.
A
Oh, I forgot. I was going to say. I was going to ask something I didn't get. I didn't wake up early this morning. I usually wake up early to go to the gym. I didn't do it this morning. So I'm. I'm operating.
B
You had a big day yesterday.
A
It was a big day yesterday.
B
Big day yesterday.
A
Yeah. Four hours of content. Oh, what was it? I'll come to me later if you're kind of funny. Member today's grow. Oh, people. I saw people in chat saying it's 2x ko day.
B
I just looked it up. Is it out Says it's launched. I'm just saying you and I need to play some two. I'm going to put it on the calendar.
A
Who wants to watch?
B
You and I should have a. A week to. A week where we.
A
Yep, I'm down.
B
You know, we had the sauce at the beginning.
A
Oh, we were working it.
B
Yeah. We're back.
A
Today's Greg way is 20 minutes of the Taylor Swift Defense Force.
B
Oh, have you listened to it yet?
A
I've heard a couple songs. I've heard a couple songs and went. This is terrible.
B
Wow.
A
Yeah, this shit's bad.
B
Okay. She's got a couple dance songs that I'm dancing to. Opalite dog n dog I'm out there dancing a little bit. I'm dancing n dog.
A
Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney The Psalm Twining. Today we're brought to you by Factor, but we'll tell you about that later. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. It's time for some new because we have four stories today. Baker's dozen, starting with our number one. Nintendo's new animated short has fans baffled whether it's a Super Mario Galaxy movie teaser or a hint at Pikmin 5. This is Tom Phillips at IGN. Nintendo has just released a mysterious animated short film with no explanation, leaving fans wondering whether it's a tease for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie or or a hint at a new Pikmin game. At just under four minutes in length, the dialogue free animation titled Close to youo sees a blonde toddler taking their first steps as their pacifier is mysteriously picked up by an invisible force. Nintendo fans will note several musical cues from the Pikmin series as the pacifier is picked up and seemingly carried away. Though no Pikmin can actually be seen at the same time, some Nintendo fans have said the child could be Space Princess Rosalina, who is surely set to debut in next year's Super Mar Galaxy movie without any explanation at all from Nintendo itself. This is clearly something fans are being left to ponder about by themselves, though IGN has contacted Nintendo for more Mike, I woke up, opened up social media, saw people freaking out about this one.
B
Okay, what were their vibes? The comments are turned off in this video.
A
Yes.
B
I tried to dive in and be like, okay, what's. What's the audience thinking? No comments on this.
A
I just saw.
B
So what did social media say?
A
At first I was just seeing people be like, what the fuck? Like, what the fuck is this? Like Nintendo, what is this?
B
Only Nintendo.
A
Only Nintendo.
B
Nintendo can do this.
A
Can you upload a four minute short that looks like it's been animated by Pixar? That looks incredible about a baby chasing a pacifier all around a room. I saw. At first I saw a couple people being like, oh, this is obviously a Mario Galaxy thing. But then I started to see the Pikmin stuff. Okay, I saw somebody. I'm not Mike, you play Pikmin. I've not played Pikmin. I saw people acknowledging the Pikmin. It seemed like there was Pikmin music. I can't confirm because I don't really know Pikmin music like that, but it seems like there was some musical stuff. And then I think during this scene somebody slowed it down extra and showed there was like a thing running in the background.
B
Stop it.
A
I. I'll see if I can find.
B
I didn't see that.
A
I didn't see if I can find the post. But yeah, people are like Trying to take this apart to see what this is. You watch this?
B
I watched this twice. And then I had to go to reference shout out to YouTube recommendations. I watched the Pikmin short movie Treasure in a Bottle to try to get a vibe of like, okay, well, they put out a Pikmin, like, mini movie before that was seven minutes long. What was that vibe? Right. And Blessing, I'm still baffled by this. I could still go left, right? Whatever way you want to try to convince me.
A
Yeah.
B
But I'm thinking not Pikmin.
A
Really?
B
Yeah. So these are my. These are my reasons for not Pikmin. Okay? In the Pikmin world, everything is larger than life. Now, I know we kind of got the baby's perspective, but none of this feels like larger than life to me. It feels like we got a cute baby at the center of all this. And that is the focus. It is not about, hey, we got a problem solve. We got to go out there and complete a task. That's what Pikmin is all about. Using your resources, trying to delegate, figuring out a plan, and then executing that plan in a timely manner. So none of this gave me. That's the vibe, Right? And then bless as I compared it with the other one. Music a little too whimsical. Too whimsical. More Mario vibes than Pikmin vibes. Now, it's tough because, you know, there's a lot of Pikmin games, there's music all over the place, but from what I watched and what I. What I felt, it's like, at first you're like, oh, that's kind of Pikmini. But then at the end, it's like, you know what? That's not quite perfect on the Pikmin. And I'm telling you, I didn't get the vibe of Pikmin. Here. New York Comic Con later this week, huh? I'm thinking, to Mario the movie.
A
Wait, you said Newark, New York. Oh, New York.
B
Yeah, New York.
A
I thought he said Newark, New York. There's no way they're doing this at Newark, oh, New York Comic Con.
B
Yeah.
A
Now here's the thing.
B
Show me the Pikmin under the bed. Maybe I could be wrong.
A
I'm. Because I'm trying to find Pikmin.
B
I'm going to be very happy.
A
I'm trying to find, don't get me wrong, the evidence. I dropped this in Assets of Andre from GameXplain. He points out this pink in the back. No, stop.
B
What are you supposed to say?
A
No, it says, those are Pikmin colors.
B
Okay, stop it. Those are Pikmin colors.
A
Okay, okay. Okay, Kevin. Okay, I can't find this, but, Kevin, if you can go back to the YouTube video and, like, find the part where the baby's, like, climbing on top of the shelf, okay. Because we might have to freeze frame this, because I swear to God, I saw somebody point this out of a thing in the background. What I will say that's going to work against this is that this pacifier, it doesn't look like there's, like, a Pikmin.
B
No. And the Pikmin make little noises.
A
They make little and also sounds. How small are Pikmin? Because they're definitely not so small that you can't see them. Right?
B
They're small.
A
Are they microscopic?
B
Oh, okay. Well, I mean, I'm pretty sure you would see them.
A
You would see them.
B
You would showcase Pikmin if it was a Pikmin.
A
Like this. And also, you. Clearly, there's nothing. Well, actually. Hold on. Press play. Actually, I want to see how this thing is moving. It is moving in a very interesting way.
B
I don't know if that's all, though.
A
But if the Pikmin's invisible. Yeah.
B
Maybe we're deep in the sauce.
A
We're so deep in the sauce and.
B
Somebody'S saying they saw Pikmin in this.
A
I'm trying to find it. I think it's the Homie Taco. But for some reason, I have forgotten Lakers.
B
Chad, I know you're a Pikmin homie, like me, but like you. Give me your reasoning. Super. Chat away with why you think this is Pikmin or Super Mario. Here's the reason why you got to think it's Mario.
A
Yeah.
B
Because New York Comic Con is right around the corner. Of course. We just had the announcement of Super Mario World Galaxy, the movie.
A
Yeah, Super Mario Galaxy.
B
Taking it to the galaxy. Remember that? And so this feels like a perfect vibe of, like, here is a short story about the next character we're going to introduce into the world. Here's what you get. Right?
A
Okay, I'm almost there. Here we go. Okay. Okay, I found the thing that I was referencing. I'm going to place it in Assets as I'm. As Kevin's pulling this up. Arguments toward Mario, obviously, like you mentioned, Mario Galaxy. New York Comic Con is coming up. Also, that baby looks a lot like Rosalina Baby.
B
Could be.
A
Rosalina Baby. Could be.
B
It's the star thing running around with all the toys.
A
Oh, the Luma. You think it's the Luma?
B
Could be.
A
Okay.
B
Could be blessed.
A
So this is somebody who's claiming that there's a red Pikmin running in the background of 140?
B
Yep. Oh, you're telling me. That little thing right there.
A
Look the way it moves. Look at the way. Okay, you ready? It is moving. Watch it. Oh, it's moving.
B
It is.
A
Okay, we got you. Oh, Nintendo's cooking.
B
Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. Everything's different.
A
Everything's different.
B
Everything has been different now.
A
Now somebody says, Matt, you in chat says in the lore, Pikmin are invisible to the human eye.
B
So then I wouldn't be able to see that Pikmin.
A
So we wouldn't be able to. But like. But we can see it. The character. The baby can't see it, which is why it's fucking invisible.
B
Okay, at the start of the trailer it has Pikmin music. Okay, I see. I'm not picking up on the Pikmin music.
A
Kevin, can you play the beginning of the trailer?
B
It's too whimsical.
A
This is such a dumb episode.
B
Exactly. Let's bring Mike out. We got a Funny Games Daily 2001.
A
This is slow news day, by the way, everybody. It'll kick in. Mike, do you know how Pikmin music sounds?
B
Now see, can I get a counter reference here? Can I get it?
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
Kevin, I'm gonna send you a video right now. If you could play the start of that one. Let me send this over to assets. I'm gonna play the Pikmin movie, okay? And I think that has more Pikmin music like vibes than this does. To give me the reasoning for this one once.
A
I mean, people in chatter. Like this is for sure. Pikmin. People in chatter 100 soul.
B
Now, well, let's start breaking it down. When was the last Pikmin? Because it was just recently. I reviewed it for Kind of funny. So it's not like it was that long ago.
A
Well, here's my question.
B
We turn in and burn a Pikmin.
A
Now my question is, why do you think it's a game? Could it be the Pikmin movie? Look how quality that animation is.
B
Great.
A
That's an animation studio putting their all into that short. That reminds me of like one of the shorts that begin the Pixar movies. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Like the one about the bow or the one about the volcano.
B
Now Kevin, if you. Oh yes, Kevin, it's called Treasure in a Bottle. Click on that one. Now listen to the music here on this one.
A
Oh, I see what you're saying.
B
See what I'm talking about? Like that's Pikmin music.
A
Oh, they are really small.
B
It's about things being larger than life. Accomplishing a task with your friends. None of that baby gave me a vibe of that.
A
I think we should call Tim over. He could identify music better than anyone we know. We hit up to Tim.
B
Tim said he's gonna enjoy me trying to break this down for 20 minutes. He was very excited about.
A
I'll drop a thing in general Tim get. He's making.
B
What other. What other super chats do we have? Did we add. Did Laker shed come over here and break it down?
A
Sorry, I'm. I just sent the thing out to.
B
General Daniel Z. I'm not one with words and music, but there's a lot more beep boo bops, a little more roboticy. I said it's important in that Pikmin movie trailer. Yeah, compared to the. The show. That's why I'm giving it more.
A
But I think maybe they're trying to throw you off. I think maybe the baby things to throw you off of like, oh, what is this? The baby looks so much like Rosalina that maybe it's like a. Oh, they'll think this is Mario movie. But then we're gonna swerve and show them and then we're gonna give you.
B
That little tiny red dot in the background making think it's a P. What's up everybody?
C
It's Pikmin music, guys.
A
Okay, here we go. Music.
C
It's Pikmin.
A
What's your analysis on what's going on?
B
I don't know. Breakdown.
C
This is the ws WND that's ever happened. Like I woke up and I saw this and I really had to be like, did I take drugs last night? What is going on right now? I. I am truly a little bit confused like this. Nothing about this makes sense. The one thing that I don't think it is for sure is. Oh, Nintendo's just make its Nintendo pictures. They're making a movie. Oh, you don't think so that's just completely unrelated to video games are all.
B
Like a Pikmin movie just its own baby movie.
A
Oh, no, I don't think. Yeah, no, I don't think Pikmin movie. That's where my brain's going.
C
That is wild. Yeah, but I mean maybe. Maybe it's just like some type of series of shorts or something like this. Being on Nintendo today is the funniest thing too. Like, I love that we always Wake up. We're like, what are you guys doing here? Like, there's enough. They're thinking about what this could be. All the Rosalita theories. Oh, my God, y' all are hilarious. Like, I get it. I kind of get it, but I don't get it. Like, no, no, no, no, no. But the Pikmin stuff, this doesn't scream Pikmin, Right?
A
Sure. Yeah.
C
You gotta understand the world of Pikmin. Bless. Used to be our world. Is this Pikmin 0? Are we getting a prequel to Pikmin? Is this the. Before the human spell?
A
Pikmin 0 is such a good poll. 0 is fire crazy, you know?
B
Yeah.
C
The chess thing, it doesn't scream Pikmin. It whispers. I'm getting a lot of whispers.
A
Yes.
C
Getting a little Pikmin whispers, you know. But it's. It's a bizarre thing overall, no matter what way you look at looks weird. I don't like the look of it.
A
You don't like the look? What don't you like about the look?
C
There's something about it that just. I mean, when it. And I, I know that this is just a trend in, in where we're at as a people at this point.
A
Yeah.
C
That we see something and our first instinct is, is this AI.
A
Yeah.
C
And I, I know that that's bad. I don't. I do not think that this is AI.
A
No, this. If this is AI, I'm cooked.
C
But there's something about the face of the baby that I just don't like. I'm not saying it's not a good looking baby. Like, the baby's fine, but it's the, the animation, all the stuff. I'm like, this doesn't seem Nintendo to me. There's something about the Nintendo seal of quality that I don't get from this.
A
Really. Well, I think I get what you mean as far as usually what Nintendo aesthetic is, because there's something that's a bit more animated about it. This more fun. This, this gives Pixar to me. But like, if you are making a Pixar thing without. But Pixar's not doing it, you know, I mean, like somebody really tried to replicate Pixar here.
B
Yeah.
A
And I don't know what that says. I think maybe that just says, for me, it says that Nintendo wants to make more movies. Yeah. And they're really trying to go after that Pixar bag.
C
But even if this is Pikmin, like.
A
What'S happening, I mean, I think it's them trying to figure out how to Introduce Pikmin to a wider audience. Right. Like, you know, so I saw somebody in chat mentioned that Pikmin's not like a box office. Like, that's not like something that's going to sell. But Pikmin is something that I. So when I look at Nintendo IP and what Nintendo wants to expand and focus on all that stuff, I look at the Nintendo store and I look at the sections of the Nintendo store and I look at marketable products and I do think there's something about Pikmin that aesthetically is inherently marketable. It is colorful, it is whimsical, it is unique. And I don't know, Nintendo likes it.
C
Like, sounds like blessing saying that Pikmin's a top five Nintendo franchise based on. Based on Nintendo's own.
B
That.
C
No. But the Pikmin are walking to the store. I've been making that argument all the time. When we see the different Nintendo characters walk into the Nintendo store, those little.
A
Dudes are there, Pikmin's there.
C
Miyamoto loves Pikmin.
B
I don't know if they're blockbuster selling. I don't think they're.
A
I think you turn into a blockbuster seller. Yeah.
B
No, you put an animal crossing first.
C
I mean, that is.
B
That's the thing above that, I.
A
But here's my thing, right? What's selling? The Pikmin movie isn't Pikmin is Nintendo. Yeah. When Pixar puts out a new movie, it's the Pixar brand.
C
But saying that though, does this sell anybody on anything? I mean, this is not good enough.
A
It's selling us on talking about it.
C
True, but, like, not positively. I'm not positive on this at all.
A
Really.
B
At all.
A
Which got his babies.
C
No, but it's like.
B
Because that's the thing.
C
It's like, cool. We can talk about the animation quality, which I don't think is Pixar level. We can talk about the narrative story of this and the cuteness and the whatever. Not on Pixar level. Like, I think that this is worse than any Pixar short. I've seen any Pixar short and Nintendo just dropped this on a random Tuesday morning without context. And now look, I'm not saying this is the worst thing of all time. Like, I don't think that this is bad.
A
Yeah.
C
I just don't think that it's good. Nothing about this is interesting.
A
Yeah.
C
Besides the conversation of it being random.
B
Yeah. Like, what's going on here? That's.
A
I think it's the. I think this is a Conversation mover for something that's going to end up being. I don't. If they announced a Pikmin movie, I don't think it'll look like this. I think it'll be something completely different. But maybe this is just to stir a conversation. Maybe you'll go, what the is this? And. And have. And have that lead to something.
C
I mean, nailed it.
A
I also think though that like we should talk about the fact that this is such a like big Tomo says.
C
Tim is a wild hater. This is phenomenal.
A
No, I mean phenomenal's pushing.
B
Phenomenal.
A
Phenomenal. Pushing it. But you crazy. I, I do. What's up with the target audience here? This feels like Nick Jr. This feels like you're trying to speak to parents with small children or like very like small children themselves. Right. Is there something there? Is this them starting an even like younger brand?
C
We got it. We got to give kids more credit than this then, man. We really.
A
But I'm talking about 3 year olds.
C
Nick Jr. Face used to be talking to me. This baby's just losing his pacifiers, bouncing all around.
A
Yeah, but babies like, babies like watching other babies.
B
They like watching this. I'm talking like patrol.
A
I'm talking two and three.
B
Three year old.
A
Yeah.
C
Look, here's the thing. Jokes aside of me just being a hater right now, like in the just being an asshole way, you're right. Like Nintendo clearly are trying to indoctrinate the children and they're putting out the Rosalina storybook. Right. The Nintendo store does have a large amount of like baby stuff for whether it's for all their different brands that they have and they're going to continue to push into that market. And then you look at Pokemon overall, I know that's not pure Nintendo, but it is Nintendo co signed at the very least. And they've been making a lot of pushes and I'm well aware of this now given the situation of my life that I'm in. There's a lot of Pokemon branded, like pre 5 year old, like systems of like go to this Pokemon club and like you'll learn math and you'll learn things through Pokemon. You know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
C
They're just trying to get you in and sell you on stuff which like, you know, capitalism.
A
But like, if, if we're trying to, if Nintendo's trying to turn Pikmin into more of a popular like, you know, thing that can be a box office thing, I think. Yeah, you have to look at it and go, all right, what's Another demographic of audience that we can widely go after with this IP that already exists for us that we want to push. And if you look at Pikmin and go, all right, let's see if we can go after the. The baby audience. Right. The parents that have kids that are toddlers that are three, four, five years old. I could see. I think it is a weird. It's a little bit of a weird IP to do that with, but I could see it. I could see.
C
Okay, so let's just assume it is Pickman.
A
Yeah.
C
Why do this? Put out a random animated movie seeming.
A
Trailer.
C
Named Close to you. Like that name just.
B
Those three women are always close to you because you can't see them.
C
That doesn't even make sense as a sentence, Mike.
B
That's what they said. You can't see pictures by the naked eye. They're always close.
A
The human eyes can't see. Pictures are invisible to the human eye. I Learned that like 10 minutes ago.
C
Close to you, huh? Is very interesting to me. It's just like such a weird. It's so weird.
A
They're among us. Among us. Mistaken. They went close to you. You think I'm joking? I'm deadass.
C
I don't know, man.
A
Like, this is a game. I don't know.
C
I. I'm very interested in. In what Nintendo has to say for themselves. Yeah, that really is it to me of like, how do they follow this up? And now here's my bigger thing.
B
Pitch it. Here's my, my.
A
All right.
C
My dream of dreams. They never mentioned this again.
A
Oh, my God. They can't do that. They can't drop this and then like, and then not acknowledge it.
B
They always leave the comments off forever too.
A
They're like, we're never letting anybody comment on this. Yeah, I mean, it's a close. My point, I guess, right? Like, I think the fact that there's zero dialogue in this and it's all just watching a baby go after a pacifier. Like, for me, that is the peak. Nick Jr. We're making something for toddlers here, which I think that's a bag.
B
What a wild one. A wild one on Tuesday. Let's rip through some of these super chats since they're about Pikmin.
A
Yes, please.
B
And then we can go on to keep the show moving. Okay, shout out. Right now we got. It's Hugo who writes in and says, look up Pikmin 2 area overview theme. That's it. So a lot of people are saying Pikmin.
A
If I can get the Pikmin 2 area overview.
B
Red Hudson says, mike, it's time to squeeze into that Pikmin T shirt. If this is Pikmin related, I'll squeeze into that button up, and I'll pop every button on it right now.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
All right. At the start of the trailer, it has Pikmin music, so we're thinking It's Pikmin 2. Here, Maddie, you says in the lore Pikmin are invisible to human eyes. We learned that today. Here comes Greg Miller to say something.
A
This is the music that was requesting.
B
Yo, Mike.
A
The new skate season's live. They got an Isaac Clark outfit. You could be dead space and. Oh, that's crazy. That's crazy.
B
That's Freddy Lit. That's Freddy Lid. Dark rewrites in and says Pikmin lore is that they're invisible to the human.
A
Eye but are everywhere posted.
B
So, you know, the. The chat. Chat out of my bag. They're like, Mike, that. That made sense. Tim was just hating.
A
Right. Yeah. No, I'm with. I'm on your side, too. They're. They're like the Holy Spirit, you know? They're everywhere. You can't see them with your eye, but they're every. They're all around you. They're omniscient. Is that the word? Oh, omniscient. Oh, Chad, are the Pikmin. I'm looking it up. No, omniscient means you're knowing everything. What's the word I'm looking for? Omnipresent. Omnipresent, I think, is what I'm looking for.
B
And then Motor World Hype agrees with you. What if it's not a Pikmin movie, but a Pikmin streaming show for kids and toddlers a la puppet Muppet Babies.
A
I'm with that.
B
You. I like that.
A
That's where I'm leaning.
B
All right, well, that. That gives you your. Oh, I like this one as well. Pikmin E Day. If it is Pikmin 0, that would be lit.
A
God.
B
Super lit.
A
Wait, that would be really smart if it's a show for toddlers, because they're making the Pikmin 5, and in, like, five years, it's gonna be done. Those toddlers can now play video games. Those toddlers are. Yeah, they're all Pikmin fans from. From Diapers.
B
Very odd. All I'll say is New York Comic Con, end of the week. You know, like Mario, Chris Pratt, who knows?
A
Either they talk about it there or they never acknowledge. Never acknowledge it again.
B
But on the side of Pikmin if there's a new Pikmin video game, that would be really exciting.
A
That'd be fun.
B
I also don't think that's in the cards for me right now. But if they do, that's lit.
A
Hey, they're omnipresent. So we're gonna move on to story number two and talk about some marathon. But before we do, want to tell you about patreon.com kind of funny and YouTube.com kind of funny games where you can go and get the kind of Funny membership which allows you to get shows ad free. A
Mike, how big of a Rugrats fan were you back in the day?
B
Very big.
A
I loved Rugrats.
B
Dill pickles.
A
Yeah, that's a character.
B
You know what I mean.
A
Chuckie Finster.
B
Watch out, Angelica.
A
Susie Carmichael.
B
Remember that?
A
Reptar, dude, Everybody loves Reptar, man. I used to watch Rugrats All Grown up, which was like the sequel series where they all. They all grew up.
B
That's crazy.
A
And I used to have. I had the theme song memorized. Oh, dude. I was.
B
I wasn't as much of a bop as Rugrats was because you can still think of that song.
A
Well, that's just the melody. Yeah. All Grown up was more of like a, like a punky, like, I don't even know how, how to describe it. I guess more like that's what they looked like. No, not in All Grown Ups. No, this is like an adult version. Oh yeah. No, that's fan art.
B
Oh my God.
A
That's from DeviantArt. That is not all grown up. Why does he have a beard like that? But yeah. No, Rugrats is my. But yeah, all grown up. That was like Danny Phantom era. That was. I forget what else is on Nickelodeon around That story number two marathon closed technical test has been set for October 22nd to October 28th. This is Sal Romano at Gamatsu. Bungie will host a closed technical test for a marathon from October 22nd at 10am to October 28th at 10am across PS5, Xbox and PC. The developer announced applications are available via the official website now until October 16th at 4pm PC applications will also be available via Steam starting October 13th at 10. QUOTE this is an important checkpoint for us as we test our improvements since Alpha, including three maps, five runner shells, prox chat, retuned combat pacing, solo queue, deeper environmental storytelling and more. Bungie said. Quote that said, the technical test build is a work in progress and will only include a portion of what's planned for Marathon's full release focused on the early player experience. End quote it's back, Mike. It lives.
B
Yeah. Yeah. It's blessing. This is gonna live. Yeah, I do still. I'm still on the side of like Marathon will get to the finish line regardless of how it is received afterwards, but it will get to the finish line. Yeah, this is gonna make it there. I am a little surprised. Right. I did think that this team would go quiet until 2026 and beyond of like we're still retooling, we're still reworking. But when you really think about it, this sounds right. Right. Like they have a groundwork here, they have a foundation already laid. We've played it before, they've taken in all of the feedback and now they've gone to reworking things. And of course when you're reworking things, you need more feedback. Right. So they do have to have one of these of, hey, let's put it out to the public here on this closed test. Let's see how they react to what we've done, the changes that we've made. Let's see if we're moving in the right direction. And so yeah, I mean did I think this is too early? Of course. But at the same time this is right on on track. Because when you really think about it, this is probably around the time when we Marathon would have been released.
A
Yeah, it was supposed to come out late September.
B
Yeah. This is like right in the between the go time of where we should have been if this game hit where it was supposed to. And so, yeah, we gotta continue to test and tool this.
A
Where do you think we go from here in terms of when Marathon lands? You said we're gonna see it come out. Do you think it comes out and it hits? Do you think it stays around? Do you think it stays relevant? Or do you think it comes out and then fizzles away?
B
2026 is going to be a tough year.
A
Yeah.
B
GTA is about to take over the world. Right. We have a lot going on here, but you kind of start getting out of the way of the games. Like Escape from Tarkov now hitting 1.0. You start to get away from arc raiders. Right. We're still waiting on Exoborn. Right. So there's like a lot of games that was in that genre that it was competing with. So when you look at next year, it's, hey, if everything goes really well during this closed technical test.
A
Yeah. Right.
B
People are giving the feedback going, I like what I'm seeing. I'm enjoying this. I could see a February march where they're like, hey, we're really confident in this. We're coming out. Or we got a long time here and we have to clearly avoid Grand Theft Auto. Let's wait until late next year.
A
Yeah. What do you want to see in this closed technical test? They detailed some things here, right? Three maps, five runner shells, Prox chat, combat retuning, solo queue, environmental storytelling. When you, when you read those buzzwords coming off of the previous marathon beta that they did or tests that they did, does all that entice you? Does that excite you? Do sound like the things that you wanted to see out of this.
B
I mean, Prox Chat is the big one that everybody circled.
A
Yeah.
B
When you think about this genre, you think about first person shooters right now in general, with Call of Duty and such, you think of Prox Chat and the fun that can be made of it. And so, yeah, Prox Chat is a massive one of like, that's got to be in the game. I am really circling, retuned combat, pacing.
A
Yeah.
B
This is a game that in a heartbeat could go really fast and never let go. Whereas some of the games, they go really fast and it picks up. But there's also a lot of downtime of like, I'm looting, I'm walking, I'm searching. This one always felt like you're at 60 miles an hour from the get go and you got to keep moving or else you'll never Breathe. And so yeah, I, I am looking forward to that combat repacing of like, how do you tune that up? How do you make that feel better for the player where there's a little more give and take.
A
Mm. Let's move on to story number three. Shovel Knight Dev's next game, Mina the Hollower has been delayed, but not for long. This is Steve Watts at GameSpot. The follow up to Yacht Club's indie hit Shovel Night will have to wait a little longer as the studio has announced that Mina the Hollower will be delayed out of its previously announced Halloween release date. While Yacht Club said this delay will be a short one, it isn't prepared to nail down an exact date just yet. Quote this week our team made a tough decision. We decided to delay Mina the Hollower, the team wrote on its official website. The entire crew has been working tirelessly day, day and night to finish the development for release on October 31st, but we're just not quite there yet. This isn't a major delay. It's just a stretch of time to apply some final polish and balancing to make the game truly shine is another one that's been like a hotly anticipated title that feels like it's been being worked on forever, obviously. Is the Shaquille o' Neal quote right? A delayed game is going to be good. That's what he said.
B
Big Aristotle. He always says it right.
A
He always, he always says it right. You know, delay the game that way.
B
It's not bad.
A
Hopefully it comes out and it's good. That's what he'd been saying when he played for the Lakers. So in a weird way this is good news. But also, yeah, take your time. Take your time.
B
Yeah, we always say it, take your time. Especially in this year right now where it is jam packed. Everyone listening and watching right now has about 10 to 30, 50 games to play. Yeah, it is already overwhelming on the game release side. And yes, if this game drops and it's great, I'm sure we'll get the love and all that that it deserves. As of right now, there's so many games that like, it is tough to find time to play these games. So if it's just good, that's a problem. And so take your time, get everything dialed in, make sure it's great and then come out when it's a little bit quieter. I think is the right move. Do you push to 2026, possibly get a nod for best indie game of the year next year when it's not as crowded as literally today when you could name 10 incredible indies.
A
I mean, I know this year is a historical year for indies, right. I would say that next year. You don't. Like, next year could also be, you know, like, I feel like indies come out of nowhere oftentimes when it comes to, like, games that come out and end up being the talk of the town. Like indies. Like, nobody knew that blueprints is gonna be blueprints. I'm sure somebody did, but like, for the most part, we didn't know blueprints.
B
He listened to a podcast.
A
Yeah, Barrett. Barrett listened to a podcast. And so Baron knew. Right. Like the year before, people didn't know that Balacho was gonna be Balacho, except for Barrett, because he listened to a podcast. Right. You don't know what's gonna come out next year. And so if your thing is to try and play for indie game of the year or whatever, I don't. I think delaying into next year will only probably be delaying into more tough waters to exist in. That said, like, I don't think this game is the kind of game that needs to thrive off of like, I guess like avoiding anything else. You know what I mean? I think as I feel like the Shovel knight slash yacht club audience is so dialed in, I think you already have the people that are that have that buy in, you know what I mean? People know they want to play a Zelda. Like, people know they want to play the next yacht club game. If anything, I would say maybe come out in December. I think December usually is kind of a free time for that type of stuff. For January, I think maybe that. But then aside from that, it's like the rest of the year is going to be packed. So yeah, pick your poison, Mike. I'm sure Mina Hollower is going to come out and it's going to be going to be big. It's going to get some big reviews. But if I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
B
Let's you'd go to our last story, the Wii news channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
A
Also, I should shout out. People in chat are mentioning Pipestrello. That's the Zelda like indie game where you have a yo yo. Oh, okay. A lot of people were saying a lot of good things about those games and so about that game. And so if you're looking for something to fill the meat of the hollow or void, maybe check out Pipostrello Stewart number four is we news for you. According to Bill Bill coon Silent Hill 2 remake is coming to PS plus later this month.
B
Nice.
A
That's cool.
B
I like Silent Hill 2 a lot.
A
Megabonk has sold 1 million in two weeks.
B
This game rocks. Yeah, you blessing, don't play this game.
A
Not even one.
B
Don't put. If you play this game blessing, your week will be Mega Bonk.
A
Yeah.
B
You will be bonking all around, bro. This game rocks.
A
I'm so fascinated by the games that have hit the million. 2 million, 3 million in a few weeks in the last few years. Because we're talking about megabunk, we're talking about Peak, we're talking about. Oh, Mike, what's another one of these games that you'd be streaming?
B
Repo is out there. Headliners was out there this year. It's like a lot of these fun indie games that, you know, involve your friends and just hit, you know, schedule one was out there.
A
Schedule one.
B
I mean, this is. Megabunk is $10 on Steam. There's something to be said about, like, the perfect price point matching, like, the perfect fun, addicting game that is Vampire Survivors with a different perspective. Right. And just saying, there you go. I know you love this kind of game. Get after it. And it being very good.
A
Yeah.
B
It's just a recipe for success.
A
It's like you come out. You come out cheap or at a good price point and you just create opportunity for people to have fun with their friends. Or you create just an addicting, like, gameplay loop. Right.
B
With megabolk, it's so addicting and fun that you will see large streamers. So Shroud, one of the largest streamers, you know, Big shot.
A
Yeah.
B
Greg Miller's favorite streamer.
A
Oh, really?
B
He got really good at it to the point where now other streamers are calling into Shroud and he coaches them in Mega Bonk while they play together.
A
We live in crazy time.
B
Crazy time.
A
Crazy times 2x. Hal adds Warwick as a character. Power wash simulator.
B
Okay, well, hey, don't just be glossing by. That's a big deal.
A
Is it? I don't know. Warwick, dude.
B
Warwick Jungle.
C
Come on.
B
Everybody loves Warwick.
A
Everybody.
B
So that's a very cool, like, art style that you'll be able to put in there. You know, I'm thinking killer instinct.
A
Kevin, bring up Warwick.
B
Oh, my God, dude.
A
Warwick's the guy from 2xko.
B
And they got Teemu in there, too. You know about Teemu?
A
No, but maybe the store. Is that the store that people buy the generic stuff from?
B
No.
A
Oh, he looks cool. Warwick does look cool.
B
Yeah. Warwick's gonna be sick, y'. All. This is super dope.
A
Power Wash Simulator 2 comes out October 23rd. And then.
B
Oh, it finally got a date.
A
Yeah. And it's soon. And then finally from vgc, Elon Musk has said his AI company will be capable of generating a great video game by the end of next year.
B
Oh, can't wait to see egg on his face.
A
Yeah, no, that shit's about to be garble. It's gonna be. What was the. What was the game that came out that got a 1 out of 10 from IGN? It was kind of a scam. They were talking about it for a while. It was like a survival open world division looking game.
B
Oh, my God. Remember they had the yellow Ferrari in it and.
A
Yeah. And they took it down like a.
B
The day after tomorrow or something like that.
A
Something like.
B
Yeah, something like that.
A
Yeah.
B
The day before.
A
The day before. The day before. Over under on this becoming the next day before or the next Dr. Disrespect game that got canceled. Remember that one, too?
B
Midnight Society was the company that was making it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is just a bad idea. This is millionaires doing some dumb.
A
This is billionaires just.
B
I got too much time on my hands.
A
Yeah.
B
I should be focusing on helping better the world, but instead I've decided to just go off and do a dumb side quest where I affect millions and others.
A
Yeah.
B
That I shouldn't be affecting. And it's like, hey, bro, so many.
A
People are probably gonna work on this dumb AI game. And then. Yeah, companies gonna lose a bunch of money and they're gonna lose their jobs. Great times, Great times you live in. And that is it for WE news. Let's hop into super chats before we get out of here. Let's see. Dexter Schwarzer says, I feel like Mina will be shadow dropped at tga, but glad they're taking their time. Also, bless. Wash your mouth with soap for the T word on Tay Swift.
B
Terrible.
A
Oh, terrible.
B
Did you say trash or terror? T word on there. Did you listen to the full album?
A
No, absolutely not. Okay. Did you?
B
No, of course not.
A
Okay.
B
I've listened to the Three Bangers.
A
I'm just Three bangers.
B
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just dancing. I'm knocking on wood.
A
All right, that's the song Knocking on. I did listen to Wood. That was. Was cringe. I usually don't use the word cringe, but she wants to be Sabrina Carpenter so bad in that song.
B
And it's everybody wants to be Sabrina Carpenter.
A
And guess what? You're Taylor Swift if you're not Sabrina Carpenter.
B
That's right.
A
I don't want to hear you talk.
B
About craft your own lane.
A
I don't want to hear you talk.
B
About trap Word together. She left a little bit of lasting impact on her. That's all. You know, I mean, she was. She was sharing the vibes with T. Swift.
A
She picked up on the vibe this morning. What song was I listening to this morning? I was listening to some song where I was like, I just don't like the vibe. Let me look it up. I listened to Eldest daughter this morning, and I was like, I don't. I can't. I don't know. I feel like there's like some. Some subliminal stuff in there.
B
Oh, you think she's saying.
A
I think she's saying some. And I don't know if I like it. I don't know if I don't need to go deep on my Taylor Swift.
B
Okay. Okay.
A
Let's see here. Santuli writes in and says birthday text. First time interacting live, but been listening to KHD since the start. A day late, but wanted to congratulate Y' all on 2000 episodes. Love Y'. All.
B
Happy birthday.
A
Happy birthday.
B
For interacting and saying, it's your birthday. Happy birthday to you. Have a wonderful day.
A
Steven.
B
My brother's birthday. Shout out to my little brother. Oh, hi, birthday brony. But I'm proud of him.
A
Hell, yeah.
B
Pull it together. Keep it tight. Keep it tight.
A
Keep it tight. Steven also writes in with a birthday tax and says they hit 30. They hit Dirty 30 today and to 2,000 more.
B
You're in your prime at birthday Dirty 30, you're in your prime. You know, LeBron James gonna make a big announcement today too. Today's a good day.
A
What. What kind of big announcement?
B
Big announcement.
A
Do we know what time I have.
B
To lean towards a retirement? I think. I think this will be him announcing I got one year in the tank.
A
Wow.
B
Get ready.
A
Crazy times. Zeke Speak writes in and says two things. One, been a bungee fan commercial, Mike.
B
Oh, my God. LeBron. Dude, you can't be doing that to me. You can't do that to me. LeBron. It's a Hennessy commercial. Put your life together. LeBron. Bron.
A
Of course it's a Hennessy commercial.
B
I'm over here. I'm worried that I gotta go put out fistfuls of dollars to go see LeBron James on his final year. He's just trying to sell me more Hennessy. I already bought The Hennessy bottle.
A
LeBron Jesus.
B
And then I'll tell you what. There I am at the liquor store across the street. They got the Hennessy LeBron James bottles. I'm like, oh, this is a big deal.
A
Yeah.
B
Guy behind the counter is like, this is limited edition. You got to buy it now. They'll never be sold again. That guy's got a thousand of those.
A
Of course he does.
B
And there I was, panicking.
A
I had to buy it. Jesus Christ. Why are you such a mark? You're bad guy. Like, I swear to God, half the stories they hear come out of your mouth are either you getting got or you getting Roger. You know what I mean? It's just you getting got and then passing that on to Roger.
B
Roger.
A
Charlie. Did I already read this one from Zeke Speak about Bungie?
B
No.
A
Zeke Speak writes in and says two things. I've been a Bungie fan forever. I am so worried about their future. It looks so bleak. And two, I need both of you to do the Danny Phantom rap. Yo, Danny Phantom. He was just 13 oh, it's been so long. He's just 13 when his parents made a really strange machine. I don't know if I can go past that. It's been so long.
B
I never watched really? Danny Phantom.
A
Oh, dude. Danny fans. Okay. Is that beard in the background?
B
He does look sick.
A
You know the Danny Phantom rap? The Danny Phantom rap. He's coming. Oh, I feel like Bear might put on right now.
B
He might put on 14.
A
He was 14. No, I don't. Because I was way less into Danny Phantom than, like, by the time Danny Phantom was coming around, I feel like I was slowly moving on to other stuff, you know, fair.
B
That's been 10.
A
Yeah, like Ben 10.
B
10, bro.
A
Can I be honest? I didn't with Ben 10 like that.
B
You don't with Ben.
A
I don't know why Ben 10 just never hit for me.
B
He had the watch.
A
He. He did have the watch, but I. I don't know. He just never worked for me. It's such a Teen Titans kid. Teen Titans.
B
He rocked.
A
Y' all don't know about Slade?
B
Oh, I'll always be a Kim Possible guy, though. I think that might be the tippy top.
A
We don't. We don't talk about Camp Laszlo. You ever watch Camp Last?
B
I loved Camp Dude.
A
Camp Laszlo was my.
B
How about Total Drama Island?
A
Oh, yeah, Total Drama Island.
B
Here's one. That many people don't pull up. I know you have before. Jackie Chan Adventure.
A
Oh, dude. Jackie Chain Adventures. Jackie Chan Adventures was awesome.
B
Watch out, man.
A
That and then they. After that, they tried to do it with a Jaolin showdown. It just wasn't the same. But I liked it. Challenge, showdown was nice. I like it.
B
What was the one with the kids that were luchadors?
A
Mucha lucha, lucha. That show, the flea. Oh, man.
B
Oh, man. I'll tell you what, I like angry beavers as well. We don't give enough love.
A
But now you're going further back, you.
B
Know, I mean, you got that point.
A
We're talking about Cowan Chicken at that point. You know what I mean? And, like, if we're talking about that, we're. Let's be. Let's be honest about the big three here. All right? Let's be honest about the big three.
B
You can't name a big three.
A
Dexter's Laboratory.
B
Oh, that might be up there.
A
Edd, Nettie and Powerpuff Girls.
B
That's the big three.
A
That's the big three.
B
That's THE.
A
Are you saying overall 90s? Well, no, because that's like 2000. That's like early 2000s for me.
B
Who's the Samurai guy that everybody.
A
Samurai Jack.
B
Jack Samurai. You're not gonna put Samurai Jack on that?
A
No, I don't think he's number four. I think. Now I'm talking.
B
Now he's number four.
A
Now I'm talking about insane. Now I'm talking about Cartoon Network. If we're talking about cartoons, if we're Talking about early 2000s cartoons, period, then the victory is different. Then we're talking about spongebob. Spongebob has to be in there. You're talking about Cartoon Network, so you're bringing up SpongeBob. No, I know. Now I'm just saying cartoons, period.
B
I mean, early 2000 cartoons.
A
SpongeBob has to be in there.
B
What about X Men? We going that far back?
A
I'm saying early 2000s, I'm saying Spongebob. And even though Spongebob technically started at 99, I'll give it to you. But like a dominant. Yeah, I know, I know, I know. Came into its prime in 2000. What would you say is the number one cartoon? Because I go to Dexter. I think Dexter's laboratory. Dexter's up there.
B
One. He's up there.
A
But I don't know.
B
I don't know if that's one.
A
What from Cartoon Network are we putting above Dexter? Samurai Jack.
B
Samurai Jack for sure. Was the goat of that.
A
Like, Dexter just had the popularity.
B
What about Johnny?
A
Dexter was just on Johnny Bravo. Sick as hell. I love John.
B
He's a top dead.
A
Dexter was on. Is the Thing. Samurai Jackie had to tune in at a specific time. If we're talking 2000s.
B
Yeah.
A
Avatar the Last Airbender.
B
Oh, that's up.
A
I think that's in the conversation for sure. That's up.
B
I think that could be a top three. Yeah, that could be a top three.
A
Did you watch one of the better, like, but that's like one of the. That's one of the better young adult heroes journeys that have actually hold up in the last 20 years. You know, Invader Zim I. With Invader Zim. These are all kind of like not deep cuts because everybody knows these things. But like, like they're more. They have. They're in niche pockets. In niche pockets. Avatar is not, though. Avatars. It's not, but it's in a nicher pocket than like a Dexter and a spongebob.
B
I think Avatar was global spongebob.
A
Yes. Not Dexter. More people watch Dexter than Avatar. No, that's insane.
B
No, no, no.
A
You think more people watched Avatar the last Airbender? Yes. Dexter's Laboratory. Dexter have a live action Netflix adaptation.
B
Dexter's Lab. Yeah.
A
This Dexter's Lab have a sequel?
B
We got some. We got some great pulls. Fairly odd parents. They need to be in the mix here. Yeah, fairly odd parents. Needs to be in the mix. What about code name Kid Next Door? Those kids rocked. People love those kids.
A
Billy and Mandy.
B
What about recess?
A
People saying blessing as well. Here's the thing.
B
Chat.
A
Here's the thing. Avatar, the last ever kid. A kid who doesn't get his recess.
B
100% could be the lead of Kit Reset.
A
That was a Halloween costume I did one year.
B
That's you, baby.
A
And Alyssa did that. Chat. I'm not trying to take away from the quality of Avatar. I love Avatar.
B
Last Neutron might be top three.
A
It is not as popular watched as Dexter's Laboratory. We got to be real reality exists.
B
The more the people pull this out. I think Dexter is constantly going down for me. Right.
A
Yeah.
B
He's going further.
A
What reality do you live in? I live in the reality where Dexter's Laboratory was on constantly. I mean, non stop.
B
It was very.
A
Yeah. In an era where there was like five shows and three channels. Bliss. Yes. But that doesn't take away from the fact that, like it was on. I'm saying everybody's dominated. Even with, you know, the street. And ask people about Dexter and ask people about Avatar. More people are going to be like, oh, yeah, I watched Dexter's Laboratory.
B
I'm gonna go ask.
A
I'm not saying it's better Ask Charlie across the street. That's a great.
B
Yeah, that is a good test right there.
A
And he's gonna say the.
B
You talking about probably say my. Get out of this show. Get out of the store.
A
Oh, I forget what I was gonna say. Another one now. Okay, actually, never mind. I was gonna bring up Scooby Doo, but that's way outside the bounds.
B
He's timeless, though. He's timeless.
A
Scooby is timeless. You know what? Think about it. Scooby Doo. It's the Dragon Ball Z of kids cartoons. Timeless. You know what? It. Yeah, sure. Why not? If we're talking about all time. Every time. About all time. Big three, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny. All right, close. Like, opening showcase. Scooby Doo. Like, they get reimagined every, like, 10 years. It's. That's more like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, right? Yeah, but I feel like there is, like, a. There's a peak. Scooby Doo. Like, oh, this is the one that everybody watched when they had Don Knox. I think that that's the one that you watched. I think there's one that I watched, which was the old one, but I think I watched the old one. Oh, you did? You didn't watch, like, the. The teen one? I mean, I watched all of it. O. I watched. What's new? We were all watching, like, the Batman crossover in the Harlem Globetrotters. Yeah. Harlem Globetrotters. Yeah. Like, I didn't know who the Don Knotts was, but he kept showing up.
B
Yeah, leave him in the comments down below. Give us your big three.
A
Okay, that's it for super Chats. Let's hop into kind of, say, Adventure.
B
Time and a regular show. I mean, like, those are now.
A
Those are after my time. Okay, I. I stopped watching. But my friends love those. But those are big. You're right. You're right. It. Let's see what people are saying, and you're wrong. Let's see, let's see, let's see. Okay, well, actually, we already covered that.
B
Kebab says I have super chats, Mike. All right.
A
Kebab.
B
Kebabs. I'm not reading this kebab. Talk to the host. Kebab.
A
We don't read all the super chats on the show.
B
I'll. I'll read your. I'm going to read kebab.
A
We try to read as many as we can, but also, I'm producing a show that has to be listening by a lot of people. And I'm. I had to try to keep it entertaining. And so When a million people write him with Happy birthday. I'm sorry, I can't do that because.
B
Why not? Both Pikmin and Mario Galaxy crossover.
A
Cool. Thank you for that. Must read Kebab.
B
That's a. That could be a crossover. It could be a fun crossover.
A
Remember, you're on Thin ice, Kebabs.
B
Remember when they did Rabbids and Mario crossover?
A
Yeah, they did. They did that twice.
B
You know.
A
You know what this rewrong is from? Kebabs. Kebabs, we read your super Chat and so I'm not gonna read this. You're wrong. No, they're out there. Nice. All right, stop telling me I didn't read your super ch. We ever promised our reading every single super chat. Ah, jeez, Mike. That brings us to the end of the show. Thank you so much.
B
See how y' all got him? He's got to go on the next show about Wolverine.
A

Episode Title: Pikmin Reveal? Mario Galaxy? What is Nintendo Teasing?!
Date: October 7, 2025
Hosts: Blessing Adeoye Jr. & Snowbike Mike (later joined by Tim Gettys)
This episode dives deep into a mysterious new Nintendo animated short, sparking rampant speculation: is it teasing a Super Mario Galaxy movie, Pikmin 5, or something entirely new? Blessing and Snowbike Mike dissect the clip, analyze fan theories, banter about classic cartoons, and cover the day’s game news—including a Marathon technical test, a minor delay to Mina the Hollower, new million-seller indie stats, and more. Later, Tim Gettys joins to lend his music and Nintendo expertise, leading to a lively debate about Pikmin’s franchise potential, Nintendo’s marketing strategies, and the target audience for the short.
"I'll be honest. I'd rather be playing Hades 2 right now. I fucking love Hades 2." [01:55]
"Not that I wanted to be a hater, Mike, but ... this has the sauce." [04:52]
“I just saw people being like, what the fuck is this? Like Nintendo, what is this?” [13:29]
“None of this feels like larger than life to me. It feels like we got a cute baby at the center... not about, hey, we got a problem to solve.” [14:46]
“I just don’t think that it’s good. Nothing about this is interesting—besides the conversation of it being random.” [27:08]
“If you look at Pikmin and go, all right, let’s see if we can go after the baby audience... It’s a little bit of a weird IP to do that with, but I can see it.” – Blessing [29:12]
“They're like the Holy Spirit... you can't see them with your eye, but they’re all around you.” [32:26]
“My dream of dreams: they never mention this again.” [30:44]
“If this is Pikmin related, I'll squeeze into that button-up, and I'll pop every button on it right now.” [31:38]
“Let’s be honest about the big three here. Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd ’n Eddy, and Powerpuff Girls.” – Blessing [53:39]
Blessing (on Pikmin):
"They're like the Holy Spirit, you know? You can't see them with your eye, but they're all around you." [32:26]
Tim Gettys (on Nintendo's short):
"Nothing about this is interesting—besides the conversation of it being random." [27:08]
Mike (on possible Pikmin expansion):
“What if it’s not a Pikmin movie, but a Pikmin streaming show for kids and toddlers, a la Muppet Babies?” [32:56]
Blessing (Hades 2 addiction):
“I’d rather be playing Hades 2 right now. I fucking love Hades 2.” [01:55]
Mike (about Magic: The Gathering):
“It’s all I want to do. It’s my favorite thing around, bro.” [02:22]
Tim (on Nintendo’s move):
“My dream of dreams: they never mention this again.” [30:44]
