From Origin to Legend I need to become a symbol. I need to become Batman.

Become the hero.
B
Someone's gotta step up, build a legacy. Let's get to work.
A
You wanna get nuts?
B
Let's get nuts.
A
I'm allergic to nuts. Lego Legacy of the Dark Knight this is my favorite part. Available May 22 on PlayST Xbox Series XS and PC. Rated E10 for ages 10 and up today. In the nerdy news you need to know about, it's official PlayStation exclusives aren't coming to PC anymore. Maybe they can use that money to buy soap now, right, Andy? All the PC players, they can go buy soap, Andy. Because they don't wash themselves, these PC players. I heard you spreading your fucking bullshit yesterday. Oh well, I can't believe PlayStation plus still charged you to be online. Oh, I heard you. You think I don't fucking hear everything you say in this goddamn place?
B
Where have you been playing on?
A
I was playing on Xbox. Well I technically on the Rock. Well, the Rog is an Xbox and also because it's it's the successor to the Vita in many ways. Otherwise Microsoft launches an Xbox player voice to gather feedback. That's what it is. It's not the play. It's not like Zordon's talking. That's not the player voice. You got what I mean. And Nintendo reveals a new game. Pictonico. Pictonico. Piconico. We'll have all this and more on a very special episode of Kinda Funny Games Daily. What's up, everybody? Welcome to Kinda Funny Games daily for Tuesday, May 19, 2026. I'm one of your hosts, Greg Miller, alongside Hispanic heartthrob Texas Tree Latino Hate clicking heads and ripping them to shreds. The globe Trotting head shotting rootin tooting three point shootin' spurs fan who must be having a great day. Nitro rifle from Twitch tv, Andy Cortez.
B
I mean, it was ecstasy last night. Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch most of it.
A
I want everybody to know, of course, if you aren't paying attention to basketball, spurs are in the NBA playoffs. They're doing quite well. Lots of stuff's on the line. Big pressure. All sorts of things are going on.
B
What's your conference finals?
A
Yesterday was game one. Andy was very excited about it and I asked him about it and he said yes. And of course I will be watching the Mandalorian and Grogu. You gotta go see that for Star wars in review. And so I kind of forgot all about it, of course. And then I open up a little old BS that's blue sky to him. And I see every post on my front page about Wembley and the game he's having and how this guy's just God mode insane, yada yada. And I looked at the time, like Edie is still inside Mandalorian and Grogu, he can't even see what he loves.
B
I had to watch like the first half and then, you know, just got my slushy. I was prepping to get my cherry slushy.
A
Yeah.
B
Tim's like, so what's going on? Like, catch me up. Where they. I was like, well, you know, they won the last series. And he was like, oh, okay. So they move on. When's the next game? I say, well, it's right now. And he was like, oh, I'm so sorry. Tim genuinely felt really bad about it. But, you know, I walked out during one of the restroom breaks. I had to go to the restroom.
A
And this feels almost sitcom, like, like when the, you know, the, the shitty fat dad who looks like me is married to the hot wife like Jen, and they got to go to church on Sunday. But he's got like the earpiece Soon. And he's watched in football or whatever.
B
Yeah, it was very, very similar to that. And, you know, I was just happy to. I got a text message from Tam during the movie.
A
Okay. And he's like, I hope you're not watching Grogu right now.
B
It was an image that it said, like, golden State Spurs. Because he's like, I'm rooting for the spurs.
A
Got it, got it.
B
And then so me on my watch, because they're very like, you know, this movie's under embargo. Mandalorian Grogu. Yeah, we can't let the secrets of Grogu out, Greg. And so I get. I'm on my phone and I'm like, I'm on my watch and I'm typing. I said, update, please. I'm in a movie. Got no response from Tam until this morning. The whole. So the movie ends. I immediately bust out my phone. 122, 115. I'm just like, oh, my God, that's the best movie I've ever seen in my life. Oh, my gosh, dude. Mandalorian Grou.
A
Don't break your embargo.
B
Can't break. Embargo.
A
Can't break. You'll hear about it on Star wars in Review this week, I do believe.
B
Yeah, I think tomorrow works.
A
Yeah. Is it time for me to buy a spur shirt?
B
It's time for you to join.
A
Yeah, I've been. I mean, I've always liked David Robinson, so I mean, like, that's going. And John Stockton. Tomahawk. You know what I mean?
B
No, just back in the day. Back in the day before Tim Duncan retired, you call him Kevin Duncan. It got me real good. And you called him Wembley right now. Wemby. Wembanyama. Victor Wembanyama.
A
When I said it, Big Vic here, I knew I was wrong and I knew it would get a reaction out of the audience when I said it. On Greg way, like 30 minutes ago, when I was behind you honking my horn, I said, wembley. And I'm like, I know that's not right. Isn't that a tennis thing? And I just went on with Miguel.
B
Wembley Stadium.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll have a whole bunch more video game news for you right now because this is kinda funny. Games daily, each and every weekday, we run you through the biggest news in gaming. If you're watching live, be part of the show with your YouTube super chats. So many people have Clawmaster says Andy. After last night, I am an alien believer. Wemby is that dude. He's that dude, he's lanky. I saw a lot of people comparing him to bloodborne characters as well too.
B
He has those proportions.
A
Yeah, Tam was doing it seven foot five.
B
Yeah. Seven foot six.
A
Yeah. Then you got one here. Why Rokas is Thunder up, Andy?
B
Okay, I see, I see what you're doing right there.
A
K. Zupano says see you for the NBA cup rematch. Andy. Go Nicks.
B
You know, I was asked what do I think is going to happen. I and I told Tim, well, the spurs were good against the Thunder during the season. Yeah, Thunder are the best team in the NBA. But the NBA is all about matchups, Greg.
A
Sure. Momentum.
B
And if certain lineups match up against, you know, it doesn't matter who has necessarily the better team overall. It's like, how do they match up? Spurs match up well against the Thunder and they've won five of their last six games against the Thunder. Now if the Spur, if the Thunder somehow pull it out, I think the Thunder beat the Knicks in the finals. If the spurs beat the Thunder, I think the Knicks beat the spurs in the finals.
A
Okay.
B
The Knicks will beat the Cleveland Cavaliers.
A
Okay.
B
Pretty handedly. Like I would say, it's going to be in five games.
A
Okay, fair enough.
B
Cleveland, I hope you make it tougher of a matchup, but I don't have
A
a whole lot over in the chat. Lakers had said, Greg, why did you let Andy watch the Spurs? To be clear again, like, I handle the games content. That's Tim. All right, Tim tried. Tim had me convinced I had to go see Star wars until yesterday when I caught him in a lie. And then I was like, wait, I don't have to go to this movie at all. And I didn't go, so don't, don't you get on. I'm the one who's working behind the scenes trying to get Andy tickets if they go to the finals.
B
There was a great moment yesterday where Greg goes, tim, do I do plot on Star Wars? And he's like, I know, I.
A
He's like, yeah, you know, it's an old one, so yeah, you probably do. And I went, yeah. And then him and I, our eyes lit up at the exact same one. I'm like, wait a second. No, I come in dressed as Watto.
B
I'm not on this show.
A
And he's like, damn, you're not on this show.
B
And then Tim goes, well, you could still go if you want. And Greg goes, nope, I'm good.
A
Thank you.
B
Man, that must have felt awesome.
A
It did feel really good.
B
Yeah, I'm really happy for you.
A
Thank you. If I could have traded places with you, I would have. I would have done that for you. But again, get them to the finals and then you and me go to San Antonio.
B
Okay, I'm down.
A
All right, cool.
B
Get some pluckers. Oh my God.
A
If you're watching live, I already do the super chats. You already did that. You could also be a patreon producer over patreon.com kindafunny thank you, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney. The song Twining for now. Let's begin the show with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. Time for some new five items on the Roper Report. And Kevin did it. There's a lot of talk ahead of time. Should we try to set up a puppy cam really quick? And I was like, no, it's too much work, Kevin. Don't worry about it. But Kevin did go back to the puppy cam. You can see there's Cole, ever vigilant, the big brother. You can see then the thing that looks like a pillow next to him almost blending in perfectly with the mattress he on is Chip. Chip the wiener dog is here as well.
B
Camouflage.
A
They're doing really good today. They're doing really good today. We're. You gotta gotta ease them in. We gotta ease them in. Number one on the Roper Report. The place, the PlayStation. Why don't you keep putting the in front of everything? PlayStation exclusives aren't coming to PC anymore. This is Jay Peters at the Verge. Sony reportedly won't release its major single player PlayStation games on PC anymore, according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier. Herman Hulse, I'm sorry, I see what he's doing here, according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier. Herman Hulse, who heads up PlayStation Studio business, informed employees in a town hall on Monday about the change in strategy. Schreier had previously reported on the shift in March, saying that Sony scrapped plans to launch PC versions of last year's Ghost of Yote and quote unquote, other internally developed games. Online games will still come to multiple platforms following this change in strategy, Schreier reported at the time. In recent years, Sony has released many of its biggest games on PC, including Spider Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima, both the Last of Us games, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered in multiplayer titles like Helldivers 2 and Marathon. Two years ago, Hulst committed to releasing PlayStation Live service games day and date on PC and PlayStation 5, but its single player PC releases have been less consistent, with Hulst saying Saying that the company takes a more strategic approach. Andy, when Jason originally reported this, I didn't doubt him.
B
Yeah, neither did I. Yeah, I, you know, after getting the official word and you know, as of a couple of days ago, when me and Micron Games Daily and Mike was still in the assumption that Soros would probably come.
A
Yeah, I was really shocked. I was like, no, I was in the car. It's rare that I get to be in the car. It'd be a listener like everybody else. I'm like, no, Mike, no, that's not. Somebody correct them. Somebody correct them.
B
You know, there was still a part of me that was hoping maybe this was the last one from the. Maybe this like beat the cutoff or whatever.
A
Sure. Of course, we've already, we've already invested so much in a PC, right. We're not going to pull the plug on it.
B
And plus, you know, when we think about purchases and acquisitions like Nixus and what, of course, what will their job be from now on? Of course, you know, there will be multiplayer games to kind of port and go to PC. But yeah, I, I definitely believed this when it was first kind of leaked by Jason Schreier and then seeing it yesterday just all. But it just confirms it and it, it does suck. Yeah, it sucks. I, I understand the need to want people to buy your machine. Right. I totally understand that. And I get the notion that if your game comes out on your console, you don't want people to go, I'll just wait for blah, blah, blah. Because when they wait, you're going to be selling it at a lesser cost anyway, a year, two years down the road or whatever.
A
You want to recoup that money as fast as possible.
B
Right. The, on the flip side of it though, I think games are selling less and less as it is. And when you look at estimates for what some of their games sold on, on PC, you know, we're talking about like some of the wor. Some of the worst selling games were around like the 1 million, 2 million mark. And that's not nothing nowadays. Yeah, like I, I look at those numbers and those are not insignificant. A lot of the, Unfortunately, a lot of the sales estimates are just based on, you know, concurrent player data and things like that. So there, there, there hasn't been anything too concrete. A lot of it is from Alinea Analytics. Who does. We mentioned them earlier in the week. Maybe it was last week, I forget.
A
We, They've come up a few different times.
B
Yeah. And so they do a lot of like sales analytics based on what they're seeing with concurrent players and based on
A
whatever reviews to give some kind of numbers of what we're talking about. Right, we're going to go to the gamer. This is Johnny Flores Jr. This is from May 2026. So pretty gosh darn recently going through all this stuff, blah, blah, blah. As first spotted by Push Square, the game, the game business recently reported launch month sales Data for several PlayStation titles on PC. And the numbers are poor. Ghost of Tsushima 710,000. God of War, Ragnarok 300,000. Marvel's Spider Man 2 260,000 Horizon Forbidden West 230,000. Those numbers are admittedly not very good. With Ragnarok simultaneous PS4 and PlayStation 5 release bringing in a reported 6.9 million players. The 300,000 figures very weak. However, the numbers don't tell the full story beyond the live service titles which have come day and date. The vast majority of PlayStation titles of course are after the original launch.
B
Yeah. So I, I guess seeing those more recent numbers, I could see why a decision like this is made. I do think that the earlier games, when they were first coming to play, when they were first coming to PC, we're looking at estimates of Horizon Zero dawn selling, you know, around 4 to 5 million. Yeah, the first God of War selling 4 million. I, I guess I, I, I look at this strategy and think that there could still be ways to maximize the amount of sales and the more sales. This isn't even really me coming from the, the standpoint of I want more people to like, this isn't me being like kind of like boohoo about it, like oh, I want to be able to play it on PC. It's more of like, yeah, but more game sales means less, you know, possibilities of layoffs and things like that. And, and unless these, these porting processes are insanely expensive and you're not seeing the return that you are getting from them.
A
Yeah.
B
Then like I don't think it's bad to just have more sales as it is. And unless we get a like super inside data from Herman's Holtz about this, then it won't really make a whole lot of sense to me.
A
I think it really comes from a place of fear. But maybe a better word is caution and trying to be cautious as a business. And I think again, looking at where we're going with all of this, right where it's talking about the fact that video games are where they are right now, a mature market, it's coming from, what was it the CFO saying Hey, we're going to, you know, double down on this is a conversation from yesterday too, or whatever of not exploiting like Lord of the Rings, but double down on making money on the existing PlayStation fan base. They realize that that existing PlayStation fan base isn't going anywhere. And while maybe I'm using too harsh of a word, pandering or offering to the PC community hasn't resulted in a windfall of money. And so I really do think it is PlayStation saying, listen, the PlayStation 6 is going to cost a lot of money and we're going to justify that price to people. And the way to do that is to have an exclusive lineup of games. And so we can't have it be that people think they can wait a year, two years, get it on PC and do that. Even though you look at those sales and it's like, well, do you already have the majority of PC players with a PlayStation 5 or are they just not interested in those games? Or X, Y and Z and Y? That's hard to read. But it really the, what I read from the entire situation is PlayStation saying, let's batten down the hatches. Like this storm is going to get worse. And what we want to do is make it as easy as possible for people understand, buy a PlayStation to play PlayStation games. We did an experiment here when it looked like the industry was going to be a little bit more open doors and we could grow, but due to a number of economic headwinds, that's not what's about to happen. It needs to be. We need to give you a reason to buy the PlayStation 6, keep buying PlayStation fives, buy a PlayStation handheld, buy a Portal, whatever it may be.
B
And on the flip side of that, I, I, I totally hear what you're saying and I go, okay, well you're making it more expensive to buy your console too.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's five years after six years after it released and you keep, you've, you know, raised the price for a second time.
A
Yeah.
B
And I, it, it just feels like there's a lot of messaging that is clashing with each other. And again, until we kind of, unless we were a fly on the wall in those offices, I don't know if we would fully ever know the full story.
A
Of course.
B
And, and again, to go back to the Nixis point, what does their workload look like from here on out? Is it just working on the game like for Loop, which is one of their multiplayer games that will likely be similar to Helldivers where it's like that day and Date multiplayer type video game. I, it, I think it just kind of sucks because I still feel like games are going to sell less anyway and you already have a lot of PS5s out there. It doesn't hurt to put your games, you know, to get more units sold.
A
I think, I don't want to say I disagree. I just think it's an argument of making the money on the units versus making the money on the units, the console, and then the PSN tax and the PlayStation plus and the 30% you're taking from everybody buying everything on PlayStation like it's. I don't think it's existing in a vacuum. I want to bring in a question. There's a little boy in the chat named Snowbike Mike who super chats when he could just walk in and says, is there a threat from the Steam machine now coming into the living room in PlayStation games being sold on that unit with living room exclusivity? I don't think so. This is a conversation that came up as well with oh, Project Helix. PlayStation doesn't want their thing on an X. And I was like, I really. Yeah, I'm sure someone inside of PlayStation doesn't like that. But the adoption rate of that, the adoption rate of the Xbox Rog, like it's already happening that you could do all of this and be playing all your Xbox and all your PlayStation games on a PC in your living room. It's like, I don't think the Steam Machine is that level of a threat. I think when the Steam Machine comes out and is hopefully a huge success and suddenly people are like, there's a lot of things that need to happen for that to be the concern. I think the concern is way more the economics of how much it costs to make a console, the economics of tariffs, the economics of digital exclusive and buying rights and all different things. Like, I feel that's where their head's at. And I think that the PC stuff was an experiment to see if there was money in those hills and there's clearly not enough money to justify this, let alone like we're talking about what we brought nixes in to do this and now that didn't really work out. So we're paying for this entire studio that's doing great work, but it's not
B
maybe less work now.
A
Exactly. It's not ending with them actually getting money on this.
B
Yeah. And I guess on the flip side of it, when we talk about PC, you know, it doesn't help that. It doesn't help Sony that steam is taking 30% of those profits.
A
Exactly.
B
From, from their PC sales.
A
I mean, the, the way you're making money. Right. Again, back to this whole we're gonna not exploit, but double down on these people and make them be the ones that are doing the money for us is like you need them in the ecosystem. Right. Like you look at any subscription service. The entire point is trying to keep you in that service. And it's what Xbox tried to do with their game pass, you know, forefront argument, which worked to some degree, but not to what they needed it. And I think PlayStation looks at them and goes, oh man, they are a warning to us of putting all the eggs in one basket. Because PlayStation again, continues. Like I. It might have been a Greg Way question. It might have been a question on one of the shows. I forget, I apologize. But of, hey, the portal is awesome. Maybe it was just a Reddit conversation. The portal is awesome. Why isn't PlayStation promoting the Portal more? And it is that argument of like, again, if you really wanted to, you could buy a PlayStation Portal and PlayStation plus and you could be streaming your games and not need to buy the even more expensive unit to put on your tv. Like there's a way to enter into the ecosystem that Xbox was very forefront of. XCloud, everything's an Xbox. Ah. And PlayStation has all that I can remote play on my phone. Like it's like that technology is there, but PlayStation continues to be like that. We see the percentage of people, I assume we're not a fly on the wall. We see the percentage of people who are actually using that. And it just doesn't make sense for us to promote that as a mainstream thing because as Ox Pope pops in, PlayStation relies on people staying on their platform and playing third party games to collect their 30%. If people play on PC, they might, they might stay there to play the big things as well. Exactly. Back to our point of splitting the money with Steam. Who do you want be getting this point? PlayStation wants to own that for as long as fucking possible. And eventually, if PlayStation needs to jettison like we always worried about with Nintendo, like we talk about currently with Xbox and become a third party publisher, fine. But they're far from that right now.
B
I think a lot of it also just slightly comes down to just not seeing the return that they were hoping for with the more and seeing that sort of downward trajectory of, of sales on PC. Otherwise I would feel like if Sony felt threatened, we would see high sales of the most recent releases on PC. If the sales are really high, then they would be like, oh, oh yeah, what if that become, well, we see a lot of high sales there, but what if that then becomes the preferred place to play PlayStation games? And what if those, what if those gamers are now seeing, oh shit, I could just play this here now and, and be done with my PlayStation as a device? I just feel like the PlayStation audience is like way too loyal to, to, to peace out and go play somewhere else.
A
And I feel like we said that about Xbox for a long time. And I mean a long time. A long time ago, clearly. Yeah, I'm not saying in the last year and a half we've been saying that or something, but I think, you know, as Batman said in Batman Returns, things change. Remember that? Michael Keaton.
B
Why do we fall Mesh away.
A
That was a different one.
B
Get back.
A
Got some more super chats about all this. Killian super chats and says I could see Nix is shifting to a support studio like they were for Soros. I wouldn't be surprised if they're already hands on with Wolverine, intergalactic and other PlayStation Studios titles. Of course, I think you have these people, you want to use them, you're going to move in there. I would be shocked right now by the way, if they were hands on with Intergalactic though. Wolverine, sure. We got a release date coming up pretty goddamn fast. Intergalactic, you don't let the sous chef walk in there and start putting his hands inside the cake while it's in the oven.
B
All right?
A
We got a lot of things going on over there. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. Street Shadow Super Chats follow up to the first super chat. Andy, you might be looking at this just through unit sales, but you have to factor in the brand exclusives, impact on hardware sales and the ROI you get versus cost people and money. We already talked about that. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring that back up. You know what I mean? Aaron Lime says Sony's trying to pull a Nintendo move of having strong first parties that entice people to buy in, but importantly, they lack the Nintendo cadence. Yeah, I mean, I think you're not wrong, Arian Lime. I wonder if it's too much of a boil down because obviously PlayStation would already tell you that's what they have with their first parties. And I do think that's what cemented that PlayStation 3 generation into PlayStation 4 and then, yes, PlayStation 5. We have seen them flounder with that because of this live service push collapsing upon itself like a souffle. I'M making more baking references, and I think that's left them a little bit in the lurch here of where are all the titles that define what PlayStation is? But as we've said it before on this show, every time PlayStation shoots themselves in the foot, Xbox shoots themselves in the head. So we get to look past that.
B
Yeah.
A
It's in a big rush to be like, oh, my God.
B
Well, yeah, because one injury is more severe.
A
Exactly. Oh, here we go. Rev, Alex Martinez says Andy Reyes playing Lego Batman. Could you please call him and do an impression of Michael Caine reading his pick yourself up Batman Begin tweet.
B
Yeah, maybe during the break. Yeah.
A
Oh, all right.
B
You know what? I can send a little voice message.
A
Okay, fair enough. I'll accept that. I don't know why I don't want to call him. I'll call him if you want.
B
I can't do that. I don't know. That's a you thing, you know, Grabbing his phone.
A
We're gonna. We're gonna see what's up here.
B
He's calling him.
A
Everybody. Don't stop watching us to go watch. Ray. Oh, God. Here we go.
B
Greg, you were on stream and on speaker.
A
Ray, you are on stream and on speaker. We had a super chat over here on Kind of Funny Games Daily that said you're playing Lego Batman right now. And so Andy wanted to give you some words of encouragement as Michael Caine.
B
Why do we fall? Master Wayne said we could get back up. Batman Begin. I crushed that. That was. That was one of my best.
A
That was really good. We love you, Ray. Have fun with the game. I know. That's how good we are on here. And we have a puppy camp.
B
Oh, hell, yeah. You guys have a great stream. I love y'. All. Thank you so much for the call. All right, love you. Bye. Like, the fact that. The fact that Alyssa doesn't. Barrett's wife. Alyssa doesn't think that's a good impression. It. It boggles the mind. It really boggles the mind.
A
She said that to your face?
B
She may as well have.
A
So how did you get the feedback?
B
She. She keyed my car and said it's a bad Michael Caine impression.
A
God damn.
B
Yeah.
A
You hate to see that. That's fucked up.
B
I don't like that at all.
A
I don't like that one bit. And then let's just do. Saul says, what's the likelihood of other PlayStation studios leaving, like, shift up to develop their game for every console PC? I mean, not good. You wait for your studio to be closed, I think, and then you'd go do something like that, but I don't think you're gonna be leaving anytime.
B
But, I mean, Shift up was never. Like, they were bought. No, they were just. It was just a publishing dealer.
A
Yeah. Trisket Scott says one of the flaws with PlayStation is a requirement for a PlayStation account to play PC games. It's a deterrent to the desire to buy and play. Sure. PC people are weird about that. You know what I mean? Oh, the epic game store. Another launcher. Who fucking cares? I got a million launchers on that rock. It's amazing. I turn on Xbox, Blizznet opens up my cool. Whatever.
B
I. Look, I. I was of that mind back in the day, before I started becoming a PC gamer. I was like, let's fucking just whine about all these. Who gives a shit? It's just. It gets you to your game, whatever, and. And now I get it. And I've gotten it for several years now where I'm just like, I don't wanna. I don't. That launcher. I don't know. The pass. Ah, fuck. How do I get back in? It's just.
A
I guess for me, it's still just the. You know, being a console man for so many years, I already had to remember my Xbox, Nintendo, whatever, passwords and stuff like that, and, you know, set them, forget them. And now the idea that I turn on this machine and it's got all the shit right there. This is rad. Like, I don't. I'll open up whatever I need to open up. But I hear you. You can't be inconvenienced.
B
But your Y button's also sticky.
A
Yeah. I wonder why. Who did that?
B
And the buttons are real Clicky, loud.
A
That's 100% true.
B
So clicky, clacky.
A
Don't get me wrong. They better fucking know right when they make the asus. Rog. Xbox. Ally x2. This motherfucker better be whisper quiet.
B
Yeah.
A
Jen puts up with a lot in her life already, all right? She doesn't need to be trying to go to sleep. And I'm like, I just love lbrb. Lbrb. Fucking furious while I'm playing.
B
The conceit you made at one point of like, yeah, I'm playing on Switch too, in bed. And it's great because it's quiet, like,
A
I can play more games.
B
That was an actual comparison.
A
She doesn't get mad. It's the rumble on that motherfucker. I turn that off. Oh, my God. Look at Chips being a cutie right now. Oh, Chips falling out of the bed. That's puppy. That's puppy. In case you were wondering too.
B
I have been.
A
That's not what the audience is seeing the entire time.
B
Oh, no. I know.
A
Okay.
B
Yeah.
A
Just make sure.
B
Yeah. Cuz we have.
A
Sorry. Is that what you guys are seeing? Yeah. Our confidence monitor is just the dog. So I opened up YouTube. I'm like, are we really hanging on the docks for 30 minutes? You put it down here. That was great. Great, Kevin. That's really fun. Yeah. Great job, Kevin. Gold stars for Kevin. If you're in the chat, give him the gold stars.
B
There was a. There was a moment where I'm like, we've been on the puppy cam for about 18 minutes straight. But that's not true.
A
Let's get one more PlayStation story out before we go to ads. Number two on the Roper Report. PlayStation is exploring the revival of older IPs. It's claimed. This is Sam Sapio at InsiderGame. A new claim states that PlayStation might be looking to bring back some of its older IPs. It seems quite a few changes have been brewing within PlayStation. And Xbox has begun its rebrand under the new CEO. Just today we saw new announcements from the company revealing that PlayStation plus prices will increase this week. Now a new rumor states that older IPs could be making a return. There was a rumor circulating that PlayStation was working on bringing back infamous, but. But no one has been able to verify it. Well, hold on a second now. The big man, Jordan Midler had information on this. I called him on a big phone, remember, during the thing. So let's not throw. Let's not throw this out, however, reliable Insider, which is an insult to our big man, Jordan Midler. Nate the Hate has stated on X, formerly Twitter, that, quote, there is truth to Sony exploring and considering reviving some of their older unused IPs. End quote. This is no shade to Nate the Hate at all. But, like, what a fucking quote. If you want to quote me, Kev, give me the one. Even though I just see the dogs, give me the one. Let me know when it's on. Hey, everybody, it's industry insider Greg Miller. There is truth to Xbox exploring and considering reviving some of their older unused IPs. Stay here one second. Let it clear for a second. Hey, everybody, it's me, insider, Greg Miller. There is truth to Nintendo exploring and considering reviving some of its older ips. One more second. Come back to me.
B
Oh, sorry. Yeah, go ahead.
A
Hey, Greg. Nope, that's. I'm talking about the bits over. I ruined it. No, but I mean, it passed me. I don't know what I'm doing there.
B
If we could get that. I mean, if we can get that aggregated.
A
Oh, sure.
B
That's massive.
A
Roger would break it out.
B
Yeah.
A
Is there truth to Nintendo bringing back older IPs? It'll be me.
B
And then guess what?
A
Here you go. Fucking game. And watch. He's back.
B
And.
A
And.
B
Viva pinata.
A
Viva pinata for Xbox. Yeah. God, the people they yearn for, they love.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Look at that dog. He's so cute.
B
What does this do for you? Because it's.
A
I mean, the infamous thing was super exciting and cool. Yeah. Hell yeah. But it's like the overall thing for
B
people that don't know what is the infamous thing?
A
What show was that?
B
I think it was a games cast.
A
It was games cast. Yes, you're right, you're right, you're right. At the end of gamescast, it came up in the chat that Jordan Midler was flapping his old gums saying that he had heard rumors that they were trying to do something with Infamous, whether it be a remake or a new one or a remaster, whatever. And I called him on the WhatsApp and it was that.
B
Yeah.
A
That day's VGC podcast had gone out basically saying that. And he had no really information beyond.
B
I did appreciate the journalistic integrity for Mr. Midler.
A
Yeah.
B
Where he said. Yeah, I don't have multiple sources to where I could write it down and say I stand by this.
A
Yeah.
B
But you know, we'll do a little yap yap here and there because there's. There's some whispering out there. And that does what for you? Because you are. You're the PlayStation 3 guy.
A
Thank you.
B
When we think about, you know, maybe future kind of feudi. Question.
A
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
B
You know. Yeah. When we talk about the. The consoles that really cemented you as the PlayStation.
A
Sure. Yeah. Yeah. PlayStation 3 is my area. Yeah.
B
When if it's not just infamous, what else are we talking about?
A
Well, I mean, for me even to reach back beyond that. Beyond.
B
Yeah.
A
Timely beyond. I go to some PlayStation 1 stuff. It's crazy that there isn't a. Hey, we've partied with a cool independent studio to make a new take on Parappa the rapper. That seems so easy. Give me a five hour game that you're partnering with some indy on to make a cool. Like, what are we not doing that even Medieval, which I know got a remake that went nowhere. I feel like there's money in those hills too, to make A, we're partnering with an indie studio to make a 2D side scroller, cheap budget. Let's just fuck around and use some of the shit that we have.
B
It reminds me so much of. Stick with me. It's kind of a weird analogy, but it reminds me of when Infinity Saga ends and Marvel starts partnering with a bunch of different smaller creators to kind of say, like, we have a vision for. Let's make this be the one episode Werewolf by Night. Let's make this be the horror version of this. Let's make this be an action whatever. It's like, there are a lot of different creators that want to use this ip. Your IP still has value.
A
It's got juice.
B
It's got juice. And it doesn't need to be a 50 million plus project, 100 million plus project.
A
You.
B
There are possibilities and avenues to find success with these older IPs with smaller studios. And I think, I think you nailed. Like, why not license out these ips to smaller studios that have a smaller.
A
Again, Jack and Daxter, right? Where it's like, okay, cool, like, Naughty Dog's not doing anything with that. We got the one PSP game that then got ported to PS2, right? But it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. It's like. And I'm not even saying, like, these are all slam dunk ideas, but it's clear that you have ip. And again, you could make. A lot of people are calling out God of War, right, For Metroidvania, Sons of Sparta. That came out, didn't do well, right? It's like, yeah, but like, if any of us were in the pitch room and they pitched that, would we have been like, yeah, that's a great idea. Playing his Kratos before he's Kratos. Like, no, like, that's. That was a dumb idea. We shouldn't have done that. There should have been a.
B
It all comes down to like, well, you know. Yeah, the game has to be good.
A
Exactly. Exactly. Yeah.
B
If we're saying that like, well, it's not worth it if the game's not good. Okay, well then why do anything?
A
Like, you know, EQ says Lego Horizon 2. Yes, exactly. That was a stupid idea.
B
Yeah.
A
Who want to, like, again, put. Any of us, I'm sure, any of you who listen to the show in the room every day. Hey, would you want to play, like, not really there. Can you make the. You left Horizon two on a fucking stupid cliffhanger. Can we finish that trilogy, please? Well, no, we got a Lego game and now A multiplayer game.
B
I don't know, Greg. I don't know if there's been more of a fundamental misunderstanding of the gaming landscape and industry than green lighting a Lego Horizon game. Like legitimate, straight up. Like, I just don't. You know, you're looking at it purely from a. The numbers perspective of we tied in a bunch of Horizon games into that bundle that sold a shit to ton. Which is why Horizon is one of the most purchased games ever. In the same way that Wii Sports is as well. Right. Like it's. It was that big bundle tie in thing. And to think that that leads to like dollars. Yeah. Like it was just people caring. That was just like to me, whoever. And I know it was like this is a Herman Holtz thing, right?
A
Yeah, I.
B
That just feels like, wow, you totally misread the landscape there.
A
Yeah.
B
And you know, not that they haven't missed been misreading the landscape the last couple years with games as a services, but that's, that's one that I look at. I was like, whoa, what the was that all about? Just a big misunderstanding and I don't feel great about the, the Night Rain game coming out. That's, you know, Horizon.
A
Oh yeah, yeah.
B
No, Horizon.
A
They keep doing betas for it or whatever.
B
Scoundrels. Horizon Voyagers. Horizon Foragers.
A
That's right. That sounds right. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
I don't know. Figure it out during the ads.
B
Hunters.
A
But yeah, PlayStation is going to do stuff with IP. Of course. Especially when they're like, man, you know what? Nobody wanted all these multiplayer things. We should go back to what made us. Maybe we should make these games like Sly Cooper. There's things out there, right? Hunter. Hunters Gathering.
B
Awful. Name it. A survival game. No, no.
A
Is it.
B
No, just a third. It's just a three player Roguelite. No, no, no. Boss rush. No.
A
This game I forget about and then I'll get like, I'll get like the ping on PlayStation like, hey, do you want to register your interest in an Alpha? I'm like, yeah, sure. Never hear about it.
B
Yeah, yeah. That is one of those everybody, we're
A

Stitching together Greg Way because I had to do it in two parts.
B
Rod Benavides with a $5 super chat asks missed the chance to ask during yesterday's gamescast. Would you like to see a Lego Legacy treatment for all the Superman movies?
A
Oh my God, of course. Yeah, this is a question that came up yesterday. I did a live Greg Way and had people on free get a free account on Patreon so you can catch all the quips and hang out. Just chiming and somebody asked about a similar question. It's like, yes, I would adore that. I think man of Tomorrow and Supergirl have to fucking crush at the box office for people to be like, all right, cool, there's enough juice here for a Superman game or a House of El game to really go. Because Batman's just such a huge IP that every loves Superman, every thinks is too powerful. But I would argue that in a Lego form, who cares? Batman's too powerful.
B
Well, I mean, do the new movies even need to be that? Like, I mean they have so much history already, they have so many things to draw.
A
Oh no, no, no no no no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't care if the new movies are in them. I think they should be. I meant it more like we need Superman at the forefront of pop culture care about him and want to buy stuff for him. It's not been the case for many many years.
B
Cadain with a $10 super chat show

A
I showed you the thing, right? Like I texted what I said. I said I hit I'm not gonna name names, but there's one man you and I know that could get us into the finals and I DM'd him and I was like, hey, just so you know, I'm cashing in the favor you don't owe me and that if spurs make it to the finals, you need to pull every string to get me an Andy, you know Greg Popovich.
B
Who do you know?
A
No, don't worry about it. Don't worry about I know everybody. I'm very, I'm very. I'm connected as they say.
B
Okay, well he says, andy, any discounts for nitro rifle gear? I'll hit you up. Good day and super chat. Thank you.

I like that a lot. We jump over to number three on the rope Report Microsoft Launches Xbox Player Voice to gather feedback on Fans immediately demand a return to exclusives this is the one, the only wypn.com it's Wesley Yinpool Microsoft is continuing to drive to re. I'm sorry, Microsoft continuing Microsoft is continuing its drive to revamp the Xbox brand with the launch. There's a lot of words there. We don't need WYP launch of a feedback platform that gives fans the chance to vote on community requests. Predictably, the request with the most votes is a return to exclusives. Microsoft's multiplatform push may have increased sales. Forza Horizon 5, for example, has found significant success on PlayStation 5, but it has come at the expense of alienating hardcore Xbox fans, some of whom want Microsoft to return to Xbox exclusivity. Earlier this month, it was reported that new Xbox boss Asha Sharma was treading carefully as she worked out what to do with exclusive games. Sharma, who replaced Phil Spencer as boss of Xbox earlier this year, has spent her first few months on the job making a number of significant changes at Microsoft Works to win as Microsoft works to win back the hearts and minds of its core gaming fans. Among them was the end of the controversial this is an Xbox marketing campaign quickfire, new Xbox console features and a game pass price cut. Perhaps the most significant of all, Microsoft has said it will, quote, reevaluate our approach to exclusivity. A tantalizing tease, particularly for core fans who feel Xbox consoles have been devalued amid the company's multiplatform push in recent years. Fans, though, have made their feelings loud and clear already using the new Xbox Player voice platform to push the exclusives. Quote Xbox because it's all caps. All caps was built off of great game exclusives. You cannot sell any consoles without a reason to buy the console compared to our competition, or even sending your temp pole games over to your competitor. Bring them back please. Reads the thread with the Most votes so far, 6,319. The comments within it are similarly vociferous Damn, that's a big word. Could you spell it? If I would have asked you vociferous, would you have named oh yeah, you're so good at spelling.
B
I'm really good at spelling.
A
I'm telling you, quote if you really care about Xbox and this person didn't capitalize Xbox so they don't care about Xbox, you have to bring back exclusives. One person Xbox needs to have its exclusive games to differentiate itself from the competition. Exclusives work for Sony and Nintendo, so why would it be any different for Xbox? Another added exclusive content and features, hardware or otherwise make a platform stand out in comparison to the competition. Without those, why would anyone get into the Xbox platform and not the other more popular ones? Right now, Xbox simply doesn't stand out from the competition. The Verge's Tom Warren has reported that Sharma has been evaluating a range of options for Xbox exclusive games, but is treading carefully here and isn't ready to commit to any major changes. So while hardcore Xbox fans clearly want their exclusives back, there is a question mark over whether Microsoft will agree. Other top requests on the feedback platform reflect community concern about going back years. At this point, backwards compatibility is right up there, as is making online multiplayer free to access. Another high ranking request is for an achievement list to have separate categories for its dlc. So if you've not got all the achievements for a game and it gets more via DLC, your 100% will remain. So if you've gotten all of them. And then there's the request for Xbox Game Pass Family plan for Project Helix the Next gen Xbox I'm sorry Family plan Project Helix the Next gen Xbox to play discs and the return of Xbox avatars.
B
That was the one I wrote in Xbox Avatars.
A
You have been banging that drum.
B
I was the only one.
A
Yeah, no, I'd like it back Every time I see my little Greggy from IGN and his man of steel hoodie, no beard, I'm like, I remember that guy.
B
Yeah, I got my no beard with the. In my N7 costume.
A
Hell yeah.
B
Okay, well, this isn't really saying a whole lot that we didn't already know. We know that the Xbox community wants a reason to remain on Xbox and I don't fault them for that. Like I don't, I don't, I don't look at their reasonings and going, give me a reason to stick on this platform or else I will go somewhere else. If I could buy your games elsewhere.
A
Yeah.
B
And also get those other games. Why am I here? Give me a reason to stay in your community. Give me. And a lot of it is also just like that sort of the fandom, the, the Xbox loyalty.
A
Sure.
B
You lose so much of that. And it has been, I think it's been really awesome to sort of see people getting really excited about Xbox again. For sure. Greg, what do you think that. Do you. Do you foresee a strategy in the future where Asha says, much like PlayStation does, certain games will be exclusive, other games will not. Will it be a binary thing of only these games only in house, first party, or will it be this sort of case by case basis where, well, we would love for that game to just sell more as it is. So we'll let that one go multi platform.
A
I think they go back to full blown exclusivity. I and I do, and that still includes Xbox and PC. Xbox play anywhere. That else is still there. But I do think that they stopped going to PlayStation. I think that there's this feedback, sure. But there's also, it seems like everything Asha has been saying, slash writing in these memos we get really are about returning Xbox to the Xbox of the past, returning it to the top of the mountain, returning it to what you can count on, growing a fan base X, Y and Z. And I think part of that comes with exactly what we're talking about with PlayStation where it's a little bit different in terms of the games are selling well over there. But you make your money in hardware. You make your money in keeping them in the ecosystem. You make your money on that 30% and I think you want to keep them there. You know, again, as much as I bang, I joke around and talk so much about the rog ally out there that I love the Xbox branded one. Right. Like that is such a game changer for me where I do request my games codes on Xbox now because I want the ability to have it on the handheld, have it on the Razer Blade 16, and have it on the Xbox series X. Right. Like, I love being able to whatever I have at whatever best system settings, yada, yada yada. That's an powerful, powerful message. And I think it's something that PlayStation can get to a little bit with Portal and all that jazz, but really can't touch in terms of how nimble it is.
B
Right.
A
And so I think it's been obscured so much by. Well, no, it's just everywhere, everywhere now. And I think if you were to dial that back and be as they have in these presentations, everything you're seeing here, even the third party games, is box Xbox play anywhere. It does give this identity in this brand a bit more juice in terms of how you're doing it. And again, it's speaking to a hardcore player. It's speaking to the person that is looking at a Steam machine. It's speaking that would want to spend money on another handheld. Right. If they were, hey, we're playing on an OLED Xbox Ally. Yeah. Fuck yeah. I would throw my money at that. I'd love that. Like, there's these kind of things and I think again, what we're talking about, as everybody battens down the hatches, we're just talking about this PlayStation. So it's a lot of the same conversation here. It is. How do we make money on the people who are riding with us right now? How do we keep them riding with us? And you keep them with you by exclusivity. And I know that that's totally sucks if you're a PlayStation player and you don't have an Xbox, but you're enjoying Forza Horizon 6 right now. To think of the next one not being there and what like, you know, it's kind of like fucking Indiana Jones. Like, I feel like the wall's coming down. Who's gonna be that last one? They grab the hat and like, is it gonna be Fable? Because Fable should be ever. You know what I mean? Like, where is the cutoff and where does that go? But it's like for the push Asha seems to be making with Xbox, exclusivity is the answer. And I don't think you can get away from that, man.
B
Look, you're not wrong.
A
Thank you.
B
You're not wrong.
A
Sure.
B
Nor were you wrong about your earlier reporting on the industry and the games that are coming out. I appreciate that it's really, really good at reporting from you there. But I think it's so hard for Microsoft to ignore 5 million Forza Horizon 5 sales on PlayStation. That is such a crazy amount. And I like if I'm them, I look at Forza Horizon 5 and maybe the Forza franchise and maybe I think of it as the what Herman Holst and PlayStation are trying to do. Now granted their multiplayer games are not going to Xbox, they're going to PC. But maybe we keep the games that are like the multiplayer type titles and keep those multi platform. But if you want to play Elder Scrolls 6, you have to play it on Xbox. That is a. That is not going to PlayStation. I think those titles maybe have the juice and that sounds like I'm saying Forza doesn't have the juice necessarily, but I. It doesn't have the juice like an Elder Scroll 6 does.
A
So here's what I would say though to counter argue a little bit what you said, right? Where you can't ignore the millions of players elsewhere, right. We're here with that information already on the books. We're here with Satya and Adela being like this isn't good enough. This isn't what we want out of a brand. And we're here with Ash's letter, right? Being our new North Star will be daily active players. Like that's daily active players on Xbox. In the Xbox ecosystem. I don't think that counts who we're seeing on PlayStation play our games. I just feel like this is we, we said it and I understand, it's hard to understand. I feel like in the very specific moment, but when we look back this moment and I mean that to be Asha taking over and all the changes she's making until she stops making them or whatever, that doesn't make any sense. But you know what I mean, we're in a long moment right here where it's like this is make or break for Xbox. And I feel like they got pushed to the point of almost breaking with what they've done of we are an Xbox and losing their identity and now to be like fuck Microsoft gaming. It's Xbox. It's all caps Xbox. Here's this green startup screen and all these like things we joke around about, they're like, we report on them because they're fun and stupid. But it's like no, but it is. It creates identity. It's building back a brand. They used to have an identity. Used to have. And you establish that and you got to go with it. And I really feel like exclusivity is. And I think what did we always get? Not us, but community, Internet Gamers get mad at Phil about where it was like, no, it's going to be. It is going to be this thing. Oh, no, it is day and day. Well, this game won't. But that. It's got to be a clear message. I think the thing is, we're making. The message from Ash has got to be, we are the best place to play. We are making the best games for the next five years and you can only play them on Xbox. Project Helix, whatever.
B
Yeah, yeah. I mean, again, Greg, you're not wrong.
A
Thank you. I appreciate that.
B
If Forza Horizon 5 sold 1 million on PlayStation, I'd be like, you're totally right. Yeah, pull it back to Xbox. But fuck, man, 5 million copies just feels like a lot of games don't sell 5 million copies. Yeah, total like that still is just such an insane number to me. Adding that, tacking that onto whatever already sold on Xbox, you know?
A
Yeah.
B
Ugh. It's. It's a tough one. It's a tough one for me.
A
We'll see what happens. We'll be reporting on it each and every day right here.
B
Kind of funny games getting exclusive journalism from you too.
A
That's what I do. Break him out. Midler. Right about that. You fucking coward.
B
Right about it. Midler.
A
Probably too busy stitching together two pairs of pants that they're long enough for his giant legs.
B
He has giant legs.
A
I mean, he's humongous. He's so tall.
B
Really?
A
Yeah.
B
Jordan Midler.
A
Yeah. Remember, he's got a big head.
B
Is he taller than you?
A
I think so. Yeah.
B
No.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, let's go back to the Anaheim photo.
B
Why don't I think of him as a tall guy?
A
I mean, he's humongous.
B
I mean, not.
A
We call him the Big Man. I'm not making this up.
B
I'm not saying that he's short, but, like, when I look. When I look at you, I think of you as a tall guy. When I think of Max Scoville, I think of Max Rahul Kohli. Tall man.
A
I see. Yeah. He seems so small on my TV screen. Hold on.
B
They definitely made him Short and Sorrows. And I gave him a lot of shit for that.
A
I. I like how you said something about being the same height as him. That was funny.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Well, I'm almost there. You know?
B
Know, it was a moment where one of the NPCs in. In Soros, like, puts his hand on his shoulder and he's like, you're doing great. Word, Arin. And I'm like what? That guy is not taller than you.
A
See? I don't even know. See?
B
No.
A
So maybe Miller's not taller than.
B
He's a little bit shorter than you, Monk.
A
He's got such a big head. He's got those paws. Remember? We had him. We dialed him in. He held a can of sod. He looked like Andre the Giant.
B
Maybe he's just like. He's scaled up, like.
A
Yeah.
B
Proportionately.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or somebody played with his sliders.
B
You know what I mean? Yeah.
A
And if you have never seen Jordan Miller again, like, I love.
B
He's like, wreck it, Ralph.
A
I mean, he's not fat. That's what I'm saying. He's got a humongous head and big paws. You know? I mean, this guy's humongous. They make him different. In Scotland.
B
They do.
A
Number four on the Roper Report. Everybody go to VGC News. Check out Jordan Midler's work. This is from Chris Scullion of VGC News. Nintendo announces Pictonico, a new mobile game that turns your photos into mini games. We have a trailer.
B
Doesn't. That doesn't sound like a good idea.
A
Yeah, I know, right? Why? Here you go. Is this photo okay? Number of faces 1. Nintendo has announced Pictonico, a new mobile game coming later this month. Pictonico uses a player's photos from their phone and turns them into playable mini games. That's terrifying. The Warioware style mini games include eating food, rolling out a carpet for a married couple, and peeling off a face mask. Players can either take photos from their existing photo library or take new ones for the app itself. Pictonico will be available on iOS and Android on May 28 and is already available for pre order on App Store, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store. The game will be free to download, which makes a small selection of minigames available on a demo basis. After that, players will have to buy the rest of the minigames, which are sold in volumes. Volume one will cost $5.99 and volume two costs $7.99. It's not yet clear how many minigames are in each specific volume, but Nintendo says up to 80 minigames in total will be available across all volumes. Examples of some of the mini games as described by Nintendo include. Here come your school's sports stars strutting down the red carpet. These aren't titles. This is. This is how they're describing you. Your boss is hungry and needs your help. Try to wash away those embarrassing high school memories. Son won't quiet down. Zip his mouth. Too old. If I didn't have the trailer in front of me, I would swear I'm being fucked with. And blessing. Just put something in here. Two old friends reconnect while skydiving. Grandpa dresses like a ballerina. Can't miss this photo op. Mom's angry, but that nose hair must be plucked.
B
The divorce is final.
A
Dad's making that face again. Wait, is that a facial mask? Best friend turned final boss. Evasive maneuvers in the final one. That calm, collected teacher was all muscle this whole time.
B
These sound like episodes to an anime. Like a slice of life anime or something. Yeah, I don't. I don't like much of this. The. Like, even. Even like the photo that they capture of this young man in this commercial.
A
Yeah.
B
It immediately just makes me think of like, what. What is being collected here?
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
Doesn't feel great. But there were a couple of these games back in the day, Greg, that we would play. Like for party Modes. I remember we would use our phone to like take a photo of each.
A
I mean, I want to see Nick play this. That's the. That's the stream on the 20.
B
It's just going to be the. He's going to do the same photo of the nose, under the nose and below.
A
We got to do the thing. Kevin, you set it up where we. You know, you USB C and out the camera and feeding, and he's walks around the office doing whatever he's got to do.
B
I don't know, man. I just. I. It feels something to be wary about and it doesn't. It's.
A
They got everything already.
B
It's also odd to me that they would have a like, hey, pre orders are up. Like, this is such an odd title to mention that you pre order this app.
A
WND will Nick make some good stuff and pick Donico? It'd be huge news if he did. Andy, if I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
B
Best friend turned final boss. Evasive maneuvers.
A
No, that's the other thing you read the other thing.
B
That calm, collected teacher was all muscle this whole time.
A
Go one more down, please.
B
Grandpa dressed like a ballerina.
A
You went up.
B
Can't miss this photo op. Here come your school's photos.
A
You go to our last story, the WE News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. Number five. The Wii News Yoshi teapot is available at the Nintendo store.
B
Blessing wants this for his.
A
Yeah, this is Blessings cashing in his game Showdown. Or I'm sor kind of feudy winning shopping spree to buy this. It's a new addition to your morning tea ritual. Available at Nintendo New York and San Francisco. It's actually dope, Kevin. If you can play the video.
B
This is really cool.
A
You're steeping the tea in the Yoshi egg and then you just flip the top off and it becomes the saucer.
B
And he's a tea guy. He loves tea.
A
He does, yeah. He's always going for the hot tea.
B
This is cute, right?
A
And then look, bam.
B
Oh, you know what? I never. Speaking of shopping screw. I never got my like, insert coin thing. What do I ask about that?
A
I got it for you. I just need to be slacked when I'm not on.
B
Okay.
A
It's super simple, sweet, very easy.
B
Thank you.
A
A Cyberpunk 2077 themed ROG ally X has been announced. We go to Asus Rog on Twitter. Take the future of Night City into your hands with this one of a kind rag Xbox Ally X. Created in collaboration with the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 in AK Studios, this world first professional case mod reimagines our flagship handheld through the handcrafted cyberpunk aesthetics. Kevin, can we see it?
B
Was there an image?
A
There's a tweet. Yeah, one second. Sorry.
B
It's gold, right?
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
I don't. I don't love it.
A
You get it open.
B
Yeah, I mean, I saw an image over there. Oh, no, there it is. It is yellow. It's yellow.
A
You don't like that? That kind of seems like your. What's with the weird. It's got like zits on the side. I don't like that.
B
Well, it's. It's also meant to look like worn, you know, like it's got the.
A
No, I mean, like there's three dimensional knot knobs on the side. Not knobs, but like. Let's see. Look at that. See up there? Like, what's that little guy under? Like from where your hand would go to the tree.
B
Oh, right.
A
There's little guys. And then down by the others, down on the lower end.
B
It looks like set dressing. Almost like those are meant to be like implants or part of. Yeah, cybernetic.
A
If they come off, I'm fine with them. I don't like them,
B
Man. It just gets me pumped up.
A
Like, oh, I do like the worn nature of it. I do like the look of it. Like, I wouldn't buy it, but we
B
should buy this for Chris Anka because Chris Angus played Cyberpunk 2077. About legitimately, about eight times.
A
Well, what about Nick? He plays it all the time too.
B
Nick doesn't game.
A
Yeah, that's true. From noble. Nintendo Alarmo 4.0 update is available now. They changed the method for selecting alarm scenes to select a title first, then select an alarm scene. A new feature called Random Selection from Favorites has been added.
B
Damn. Can I get mine back?
A
Sure.
B
I might need it back.
A
We had to disconnect it. Yeah.
B
Really?
A
Oh, yeah.
B
What is that?
A
It's annoying as fuck. God. Alarmo's annoy annoying. Everything Nintendo makes that is like cool for annoying. Alarmo's annoying. The talking flower is annoying. The Yoshi that talks is so loud. And there's no volume controls. Ben understands his mom's on a hair trigger, so he's like, I won't use it. I'm like, all right, but don't turn this thing on ever.
B
Ben with the blanket over you, just shut up.
A
Shut the up.
B
Are you hot?
A
Epic Games and CI Games have ended their publishing agreement for Lords of the Fallen two. And then coming to Game Pass in May. On the 19th, you get Forza Horizon 6. On the 20th, you get my friend Peppa Pig remnant 2.
B
God remnant 2. So good.
A
Gray, I thought you talk about Peppa.
B
We got to play it, dude.
A
Okay, 21st gets you Luna Abyss 26th Escape Simulator 27th, Echo Generation 2 and the Outer Worlds Spacer Choice Edition. The 28th gets you Kabuto Park, Crash Out Crew. The June 2nd, which is insane to say. We're that close to June. Final Fantasy 6 and Jurassic World Evolution 3. And now with premium, you get Dead Static Drive Pigeon Simulator in Winter Burrow.
B
Winter Bro's a little mouse.
A
Yeah, I remember that one. I never got to it.
B
But also shout out Luna Abyss. That's that really cool first person bullet hell game.
A
Women LED Games Summer Game Fest Edition is set for June 4th at 4pm Pacific Mirth island has been announced for Xbox Series, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. We have a trailer don't leave in Murph. Murph.
B
Kind of a cute art style Ducks, but I don't really know what's occurring.
A
No. Yeah, yeah, we might be.
B
Oh, it's like a. Like a America's Got Talent or something.
A
That's what it looked like. Like here. Here's the actual gameplay.
B
Oh, maybe he quit his life because he found the town show. So he's like, I gotta go do something else.
A
It looks like, well.
B
Oh, he's dancing.
A
Break dancing. A wholesome cozy rhythm Adventure where the stage is waiting for you.
B
Very cute. Art style.
A
And then the first 10 minutes of the Mandalorian and Grogu are available now in Fortnite.
B
Go get it.
A
Log in. Was it worth me logging in Fortnite?
B
Oh, man, you can't.
A
Oh, you can't tell me. Don't tell me anything.
B
I forgot, actually, the embark. I mean the movie. The reviews are out.
A
Should I log into Fortnite?
B
This is the way.
A
And that's it for WE news. We turn our eyes to the Super Chats.
B
This is how we do it.
A
Hammable Porker Super Chats. And says, shout out to my fellow construction workers. Fire emoji. Much love from Arizona.
B
Hell yeah.
A
I love that there's something going on with construction workers in Arizona. Is it really hot? Are they on strike? Is there? Or is it just like, hey, shout out.
B
It could just be a general shout out.
A
Okay.
B
Keep the spirits up, you know.
A
Slummus Super Chats and says, congrats on the spurs win. Andy, that shot three from Wemby was ice cold as a dubs fan. Gave me flashbacks to Steph. Bang bang.
B
The Bang bang is in reference to Niner Gang. No, no, no. It's the double bang from Mike Breen. When you get a double bang, you watch a great British Bake off, right?
A
No.
B
Oh, you really.
A
I've seen stuff Jen's watched a while.
B
You know about the Paul Hollywood handshake.
A
Yeah. It's a big deal.
B
Big deal, right?
A
Yeah, very rare. Yeah.
B
The Mike Breen Bang. Very similar. When a three pointers hit, Mike Breen will go bang three pointer. And Steph hit a three pointer against OKC about seven years ago from real far away. And it was a bang bang.
A
It was two in a row.
B
And I was like, holy shit. Mike Breen.
A
The Portland Kevin says late birthday. Shout out to kfbf. Topher, happy birthday. Happy birthday.
B
Happy birthday, Topher.
A
Christo. The maximum says, Andy, after you slandered my Miami Heat last night, why don't you look into the camera and tell everyone? Tim d and David R's tag team name from 1999. Love y'. All. Go spurs, go. Let's go Heat. Hi, Greg.
B
Okay, man, you can't be doing that.
A
Is it like, offensive?
B
Well, they were the Twin Towers.
A
Oh, yeah, sure. Yeah, I remember that.
B
Cole didn't like that. Cole did not like that at all.
A
Cole is a very protective big brother.
B
Yeah.
A
And I do believe Cool Greg was coming around, maybe even just to say hi to the dogs. And Cole's like, You better know Cool Greg. I'm protecting him. He doesn't know any better, Colby.
B
I know.
A
Cole.
B
Cole.
A
It's okay. It was just Cool Greg. It was just Cool Greg is so cute. He's gone. Cole, you blind ass dog. He's not even there anymore. You scared him.
B
Random drinker with a $2 super taxes. 5 million people would rather miss Forza than buy Xbox. I don't think you're wrong. I don't think you're wrong on that one. Look at Chip. Oh, my God.
A
No. He's gone. You scared him off. You did your job. You did due diligence. You did it. You're okay. Everybody's okay.
B
Tip's just so stoked right now. Woke up from a little nap.
A
He's like, I'm out of the. I'm out of the. I'm out of the ca. Oh, no. I think you were getting your hair done or getting ready for the show. But like, Chip figured out he could run in here and he's like, I've never seen so much open space. He's just written around him.
B
Massive.
A
Aaron lives. One sneezing, one's barking. So, following up from the Sony stories again, I think Sony completely, completely barren. First party release schedule is why I'm so annoyed that they shuttered Japan. Studio kings of small, rapid family oriented games. Understandable. New Mateo says Microsoft should get the guy who screamed the Sega logo from the 90s to scream Xbox. Nah, Says I was waiting for forts on PS5. Bad idea. Now that's is Forza 6. Dame date. I haven't paid attention. It's day and date.
B
Yeah, I don't know. All I'm thinking of now is like, did the guy who sang Sega really hate the guy who screamed Sega?
A
There was different vibes, man. There was different vibes.
B
Yeah, but like, you come for his crown. It's like, fuck you. I used to. I used to do the singing. Yeah, now you're screaming it, and it's just. I feel like the art form is really lowered, you know?
A
Fair enough. Oh, I know. It's not a PlayStation yet, huh? Okay, no, but it's announced for PlayStation. I don't think you'd pull the trigger or the plug on that. I think you'd be fine.
B
I think Cole's looking at us in the TV now.
A
Maybe he's like, everybody in this office needs to know. I don't know if I like my little brother, but I'm gonna protect him. Okay. Yesterday, Jen took Cole for a walk without Chip. And Cole, who has been. Not like, you know, he plays with Chip and likes Chip and they sleep in the same bed and yada yada. But like, he did the thing where like you'd expect, oh, mom time. It's gonna be great all by myself. But he did the thing where he like stopped and then he looked back like, is Chip coming? He's like, no, you gotta go. We gotta go. New Mateo. Listening to Xbox fan polls is going to be the death methane. There isn't enough Xbox fans support the business line. No one is moving off of PlayStation or PC again. I think you put out the fan polls, you don't necessarily have to listen to them. Even though that is what happened with the Xbox going all capitals because of a Twitter poll. Cole, there's no one there anymore.
B
Nobody there.
A
That's just a shark.
B
That's a big shark.
A
That's just a big shark.
B
Fake one.
A
All right, here, Andy, here's what we're gonna do. You keep reading the super chats that are there. I'm going to walk Cole over there so you can see.
B
Cool, Greg. Okay, sounds good. Mike Demim with a $2 super chat says Andy Win Benyama Cortez. Thank you so much, Greg. Please shout out all caps in thumb in. Humble Psyduck says ghost spurs go. Sorry I hit the wrong button there, Olivado. CN says Greg Horizon Lego is really fun with my four year old son. Yeah, but anything's fun with a four year old son. I mean any Lego game could be. It's just like Lego Horizon. What are we doing? You know, that was my whole thought process of it and I think a lot of people felt the same way. Boarded junk. So what do you guys think the multiplayer in Wolverine will be like? Just a PC player joke. I do wish PlayStation tried a day and date release for first party game just to test sales before this decision. Not wrong, but they're still looking at it as like, we want you buying our stuff. We want your engagement on our machine.
A
Exactly.
B
But it would be fascinating. I would love to see that. Just as a test, what if. What if Intergalactic or Wolverine came out day and date on PlayStation and PC? What would the sales look like?
A
What would they look like? Doodle doodle. Getting away from stuff from the very top. M Night Shama Mama Mama said anyone who played the adventures of Elliot. I really enjoyed the demo and the music is goaded. I can't wait. Based on what we've seen but I still haven't started any of the demos. I know they put. They put the demo back up or put up a new demo. I know, but I haven't bothered jumping into it.
B
I downloaded the demo. I am immediately worried that I haven't played it. But I'm just like, I already played Alabaster dawn early access, and that game is going to be so special. That is that legitimately. It sounds. This is going to sound so hyperbolic. But it. As I'm playing it, I'm like, this feels like an instant classic. This feels like. It does feel really what people felt like back in the day playing other, like, Clap Big.
A
It's the thing. It's the same thing, though, where it's like, alabaster dawn is gonna take so long.
B
Yeah.
A
We're still like, what do they say? Five years. We were talking on Gamescast about it,
B
if I want to know. Mama grop shops.
A
And our final super chat comes from Napoleon blown apart, who says, hey, kfbfs, I hope everyone's having a great week. Hey, you too.
B
Thank you.
A
I'm doing my best. Thank you, everybody. This has been another app. Oh, Kind of Funny Dot com. You're wrong. Tell us what we screw up and screw up. I thought we were doing good, but it just populated. We're not doing that.
B
I'm really excited about Gamescast. Tomorrow I get to talk about Subnautica 2.
A
Oh, with who?
B
With Travis Northup.
A
Yeah. From IGN.com excited about that one.
B
Okay.
A
Okay. Big says the app Store says that Pictonico collects no data. Really? I don't think there's any need for the photos to leave the phone to make the games work. Well, that means I'm gonna get nasty with it, Kebab says. Also announced for Summer Game Fest, a gaming foundation stream, June 6th at noon, I. E. 2 hours before kind of Funny Games Daily. You can go to gamingfoundation.org pride@sgf. That's gaming. G A Y M I N G Tall Paul says, Andy scared the shit out of my two dogs by yelling, bang. And then Kebab says, for clarity, turn 10 have not given the PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 6 a concrete release date, only giving us 2026, which of course is really Microsoft saying that, but I hear you, and I thank you for keeping us honest, everybody. This has been another episode of Kind of Funny Games Daily, but our programming day is far from over. From here, we're rolling into the Kind of Funny Games Cast, where Timothy Robert Gettys will review Yoshi and the mysterious book. I still want to call it Woolly World. You know, that's a good title for crafted world. Oh, is Kirby Woolly World.
B
No, no, no, you're right. There was Crafty World, there was Woolly World, there was epic yarn. Like a lot of arts and craft stuff.
A
After that it's the kind of funny podcast where they're recapping Field Day, and after that it's me and Roger playing Lego Batman. It's gonna be a lot of fun. Of course, if you miss any of that YouTube.com kindafunnygames if you loved all of that, pick up a membership. YouTube of course. Podcast? No, fuck Apple, Spotify and patreon.com kindafunny to get everything ad free. Get your daily dose of me and have good karma for supporting an 11 person, 11 year old small business. For now.
