B
Hello, Tim. Good morning.
A
Are you Andy?
B
Oh, you know, man.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, just gaming.
A
Just gaming.
B
Gaming song last night. I mean, but, you know.
A
Yeah, Yeah.
B
I didn't Beat it.
A
Yo. Rolled credits. I wrote credits. You did the thing. I, you know, I'm still a fan of saying Beat the game. I'll say roll credits. I have against a roll credits. I get it. But like, I don't want to take away Beat the Game. Not that anybody's saying we have to. You know what I mean? It's not, it's not like it's one of those, like, where we're getting woke things, like we're not saying beat anymore.
B
It's one or the other, Tim. You got. You got to choose a side. Right.
A
But I just, I feel like, I feel like we got to show some respect to Beat the Game.
B
Yeah.
A
You know?
B
Yeah.
A
That's where we came from.
B
Beat the game last night.
A
Well, congratulations.
B
I felt good saying it right there.
A
Yeah.
B
Beat the game last night.
A
Good.
B
And then immediately, you know, just kept on exploring, kept on doing things.
A
Yeah.
B
I. I now think I know what I gotta do to enter. What is. I guess Act 3. I don't know if you ever see the words Act 3 on the screen.
A
So where you beat the game and it's not even Act 3. I don't. So the end of Act 2 is beating the game. That makes me feel great as someone that hasn't even beat actual.
B
The thing is, I don't know if the. I don't know if the end game is considered Act 3 or not. I don't know if people were just calling it that.
A
Gotcha.
B
Because you beat the game and there's. You know, you could continue if you want, or you could just leave it there.
A
I'm gonna say something controversial.
B
Oh, God.
A
You're not gonna like this.
B
Oh, God.
A
You might be okay with it.
B
Okay.
A
But, like, I'm gonna be real. I respect most people.
B
Okay. Yeah, yeah.
A
And when it comes to not wanting to ruin people's experience, I'm all about that. I would never actively want to spoil someone's experience and hurt their experience with a video game or movie or TV show or anything. And I get that. And I understand with the point of our lives, which is talking about the things that we're doing and enjoying and all of that, it's, like, difficult to, like, not spoil anything. Like, by being in this space, you will spoil experiences, or you'll have a different experience with things than you would have if you're just going in without hearing anyone talk about anything ever. That's just the nature of life. But the level to which Hollow Knight spoilers, like, the names of a thing people take so seriously, I'm just like, you're sicko, man. Like, there is something just wrong with the level that the amount of people are taking that seriously. I understand that there are a large group of people that have been waiting, want this moment to be special, want every single thing to not be spoiled. I totally get that. And they should be able to listen to video game new shows and all that stuff and not be spoiled whatsoever. Blah, blah, blah. I totally get it. And again, I hope I'm clear. I respect the different choices here. I just think it's silly to be so upset about unless it's a name that you know from the past, a returning character or something. If it's just like, horn swaggle McBoosh.
B
Is here, it's like Marmaduke. So, yeah. Yeah. Beat it last night. Super pumped to keep on playing it because there's obviously a buttload that I've missed. Yeah, there's a butler that I missed.
A
Still haven't faced Marmaduke.
B
Especially with the trailers that they put out and they're like, over 40 bosses or whatever. I don't know how many of those are official. Are those named? I don't know, but I know that I'm maybe a third of the way there. Maybe halfway there.
A
Yeah.
B
Probably not even close to that.
A
My goal. Because we're doing our review Friday, Correct.
B
Correct.
A
My goal is to beat Act 1 by Friday. Okay. I think I can do that.
B
That's a really. That's a That's a very viable goal.
A
Yeah, that's super possible. I didn't get to play at all last night because I was the Linkin park concert. What? And it was amazing. My first time ever seeing them.
B
Whoa.
A
Definitely one of my longest term fandoms when it comes to music. So you had a big day yesterday. It was a big day.
B
It was a big baby.
A
Very, very cool. I got to go with my best friend Curran and his wife, Shari, and Gia. We had a blast. Hearing 20 years of hits back to back is, like, kind of a lot. I am way too old for this. I was jumped around the entire time. I had to do it. And the Cavs feel, oh, they're bad. Yeah, it's real. I'm jello, dude. It's real bad. But it was worth it. If you can go see this tour, you definitely should. It was freaking awesome. Something I really appreciate about it is the stage is in the center of the arena.
B
Okay.
A
And the video wall stuck. The video. Yeah, exactly. The video wall stuff was up on the. The top. So they're just there. There's no bad seats is what I'm saying. That's awesome. Like, nothing was blocked. They were moving around the stage. It was just very, very cool. So you even if you just want to get cheapo seats in the back, like, it's going to be great. But there's a meme with Linkin Park. There's many memes, Linkin park, but one of them is obviously the TikTok meme of the. You know, the thing thinks it's dead. And then the credits hit and it's. I open up, right? It's the one I've done music playing. Well, the other one, obviously, is Optimus prime at the end of Transformers 1. That's when. That's where it came from, Right? The directed by Michael Bay. So a lot of people at the concerts have been queuing it up so that they play the end of Transformers 1 with the music. So, of course, I had to spend a ridiculous amount of time making sure that it was perfect and that it was perfectly timed. So that one when what I've done the chorus hits directed by Michael Bay hit. So I would like to share this all with you.
B
Wow.
A
Totally up. I did not talk private ride at all.
B
God damn it.
A
The dudes behind me stoked when I pulled my phone up, they're like, yes, yes. And then when it didn't happen, they're just like, no. So anyways, you know, we all. We ought to be honest out here. We gotta share our faults as well as our wins. I did have a win though. Yeah. Every once in a while we have to treat ourselves. We see something online and we're like, I want to buy that. And then you're like, oh man, the price I don't want to pay. Pay that. But then you're like, you know what? I got to. So I did.
B
Whoa. Bringing a gift on.
A
I got the gamer verse Marvel Legends action figures. These are the Marvel versus Capcom, Captain America versus Venom. They come with all the little Acutra m to make it to make them do and pose into their their moves from Marvel vs Capcom. Venom's a blue like all things should be. Everything is right in the world. They're definitely pairing these things in ways. I mean, I'm happy with both of these characters. Like, this is cool. But like the spider man, they're selling him alone and he's like $120 for like these aren't. Come on. You know what I mean?
B
But it's the novelty of, of the MVC sort of franchise.
A
But like, I mean even on the sides you get the little character select screens going on. That's really.
B
Damn.
A
Come on.
B
That were I. I know Maximilian dude's been posting a lot of those and that's kind of what turned me on to them. But yeah, they look really damn cool. Super video game accurate. Really, really nice.
A
Very, very cool stuff. But enough about all of that, cuz this is kind of funny. Games daily. B
I don't know if it's ever recoverable for you, Tim.
A
I fucking hate.
B
But I'm excited to watch. I'm excited to watch.
A
Yeah, Tim repping Team Orange. G saw a clip yesterday, like, of someone doing this housekeeping. She's like, you're Team Orange. She was mad. And I'm like, I love. Team Purple returns with a mystery captain taking the Helm who? I still don't know it is. I'm still kind of hoping it's Andy because I don't want you to leave. I'm really bad you're leaving.
B
I'm. I'm sorry.
A
I know you leaving is still good is probably going to involve you somehow. Honestly, you might still be Team Purple because I really don't know who it is.
B
I. I thought on that image it looked like Logan Marshall Green.
A
It might be.
B
It might be.
A
It might be. I don't know who that is.
B
The guy who looks like Tom Hardy.
A
Okay. Yeah.
B
You know what I mean?
A
Couldn't it be Tom Hardy then?
B
Oh yeah, yeah.
A
Anyway, tune in Friday to find out. Remember, we're an 11 person business all about live talk shows today after kind of funny Games Daily. He does look like with the bald head, right?
B
Especially for Prometheus, you know.
A
Today after Games Daily you'll get Gamescast, which is a shit list. We're doing IGN's top 25 PS1 games and. Oh my God, I can't. I'll repeat the story because I want to tell Bless later but when I was in Paris, I was meeting a bunch of different games media people. Most of them I knew before but some, some new faces and I was getting along with this dude, we're waiting in line for this stinky ass bathroom in the Eiffel Tower and God, it was so stinky Andy. And he was oh like what's your name? Like what outlet you from? And you know, I was talking to him and I was like where you from? He's like the gamer. And I literally had to be like oh shit. Like I hope he hasn't seen us talk so much shit about their lists. Like I really, really regret a lot of things that I' he was great. Then after that the stream is going to be the new skate game. Hell yes. If you're a kind of funny member, today's Greg way is going to be a Greg way. There's no information here. I don't know who's doing it. I don't know what it's going to be about. Greg is not here right now, so who possibly could know? You can if you're a kind of funny member. You'll find out later. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega, Buster and Delaney. This psalm twining today we're brought to you by Shady Rays and Factor. But we'll tell you all about that later. For now let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report Static there, Cap. Time for some news. We have seven stories today. Story number one, PlayStation has a state of play scheduled for next week. It's claimed this comes from Sepiol at Insider Gaming. Another source has stated that PlayStation has a state of play planned next week. Earlier this month, Insider Gaming exclusively reported that PlayStation has a state of play event scheduled for the end of September, where Marvel's Wolverine is almost certainly going to be a part of the event. Now another source has corroborated the state of play news, adding that it's arriving as soon as next week. There have been a few. Well, I mean, no, we're running out of time since September. As soon as next week, as late as the week after. There have been a few state of play events in recent times, but they focused on one game such as 007, First Light and Ghost of Tsushima Gameplay. Deep Dive Yote. The last proper state of play showcase was back on June 4, and since then, players have been patiently waiting for a new one. Fortunately for them, a very reliable source, Nate the Hate, has also claimed that Sony has a presentation soon, adding that it's scheduled for next week in a follow up reply on Twitter. Hell yeah.
B
I mean, this, this could be awesome, Tim.
A
This could be awesome.
B
Like, we know Insomniac is just. I don't know if they're capable of putting out a stinker.
A
Amen.
B
Like, it's just. It's constantly going to be what you expect and more. And I'm finally pumped to, you know, after seeing those really, really kind of super early development leaks from way back in the day. And it's just going to be really awesome to see. Okay, what does a final product look like in this Marvel world with Wolverine? What's the action going to be like? What's the. Who's the voice actor? What? What? You know, there's so many. There are so many unanswered questions that I'm like really, really stoked if this actually is confirmed to be the one. It's gonna be really exciting week.
A
I've said this so many times and I'll continue to. There are certain games that have to show up somewhere, right? And now that Silk Song's out, Wolverine is one of those big ones where that game, in my opinion, not getting canceled. This is not a Wonder Woman situation. This is not a Black Panther situation. Like, this game's going to happen. And that excites me to no end, obviously. Huge fan of Insomniac. They make video games. They make the games that make me feel like I'm a little kid playing video games and I can't wait to play more. We were so blessed to have that run from, I don't even know, 2019-2022 or something like that, where the Ratchet remake. Well, I mean, that was 2016, but like Rift Apart, Spider Man 2. Spider man or Miles Morales, Spider Man 2. Like, we just got so much Insomniac. All things considered, it hasn't been that long. You know, like, when we look at how long it is between Naughty Dog releases or otherwise, like, we're still barely close to Spider Man 2. But I'm itching and they announced that a long time ago, so hearing more would be great. We're definitely in a moment right now that feels like. I don't know if we've ever been this spoiled by a quantity of quality games at one time. Right. Like, it's just all of us are kind of funny, are itching to go home to play something. It's very cool, very special. And such a range of titles from every space, whether it's aaa, indie, different genres, just amazing stuff playing on every system possible. Like, it's very cool. And despite all of that, it's like, if Wolverine were to come out, I think most of us would be like, we're playing that. We're dropping everything to play that right now. Right. Like, that's just the hold that Insomniac has and they deserve it. So very excited for whatever it is they are or whatever Wolverine ends up being. I hope that we see it next week or the week after. And yeah, the timing seems right. Like, if it's. I mean, you.
B
You make it. You made the right point early on, I was like, it has to be somewhere.
A
It has to be somewhere.
B
And. And Wolverine is one of those that has taken this long to kind of get shown again ever. Ever since the first. Just at the bar with the claws or whatever. And that being the end of that, it's. I feel like the last several stated plays have been, is this the one where we finally see it? And it's pretty exciting that this could be. Possibly be the one.
A
Yeah, totally. And like, you know, the. The marketer in me looks at this and goes, we don't need it now. Like, this year is kind of filled out. We have so many games ahead. We still have Ghost of Yote coming out for PlayStation. So it's like, I don't expect that any major titles coming out this year. So I kind of lean towards, why not just wait for game awards, you know, like Wolverine and Game Awards fits so perfectly. Like that is the audience for that type of game. And yeah, like I think that we're at a point now that we've waited this long. I think it'd be pretty rad if the next time we see Wolverine to release cycle is condensed. I think that would be probably beneficial to the game. Right. But at the same time, it's Wolverine. It could do no wrong. It's Marvel. It's not just Marvel, it's like it's Marvel with the right team making games that have proven themselves. And besides Spider man, who's the biggest character? Wolver fucking Rain. I didn't say that. Right, but you can. And like the gameplay of Wolverine, you could see it in your head, you want to play that game, but at the same time I don't know what it looks like. Like, what does an insomniac Wolverine look.
B
Like diving at dudes? There's going to be a move where you dive at somebody and the, you know, claws go into the chest of somebody and you're gonna have your berserker barrage. You're gonna have. I wonder if there's gonna be a lot of, you know, similar to what we have in Spider man, even similar to what we have in Sifu of like picking up, throwing it at people. Like how interactive the environments will look. I mean it while running wall climbing with the claws.
A
That's the thing is like you're nailing it but you think about the. So you're talking more about combat and kind of just like mechanics.
B
You think a design aesthetic.
A
What about design? Yeah, like what about the world? Like is it open? Right? Like coming after Spider Man. Like you'd expect that Insomniac would have some level of open or is it going to be a much more linear experience? Which I don't think is a bad thing necessarily, but would be very different for them. I mean Ratchet was fairly linear all things considered. There was a couple opener planets. Right. But I just. I'd be surprised if the Marvel Insomniac games don't all share some level of collectathon. You know what I mean?
B
Sure. I. I can't really see an open world. I. I don't. Yeah, it seems like it would be maybe possibly open zone that you are like fast. Not necessarily fast traveling to, but maybe even selecting zones from. Is it only in Canada? What?
A
I don't know. Like, dude, like I love. We were just talking about this. But I love that oftentimes going into a game's re reveal or like next kind of follow up thing after such a long wait, the questions we're asking are like, all right, what's the release date? You know, what's, what's this? Was that there's so many questions here because of the Marvel factor of where does it take place? What else is in this world? Are there X Men? Are we going to the mansion? You know what I mean? Like what other characters are there or not? Is this just. Is it more of a Logan story? And if so, who are the villains? Like there's just so many hype moments that they could show off that it's not like oh, release data bust. Like there's so many things that even just seeing the gameplay will be. Oh yeah, right.
B
So I don't even think that this needs to be release date or bus at all. Like I think we will be excited enough by the Unknowables because everything has been so dark ever since that sort of here's this very pre, pre, pre Alpha footage of just melee beat em up type stuff.
A
I mean but since we're here, what should the release date be? Because we have to talk about it. Grand Theft Auto 6. Right. Like we know that that is May 26th.
B
The megaton in the room, will it get pushed?
A
Maybe, maybe. But game devs, I think at this point, the big ones, the ones that actually need to worry about the money that GTA might take from them, they need to start thinking about like can we get the game out before and if so, let's do it. Right, right. And with what I was just saying about PlayStation, we have ghosts of Yotei this year. I don't expect many major PlayStation games coming out. We're in my mind, I imagine we'll get a PlayStation Studios game before May 26, 2026. Could it be Wolverine?
B
So was it really 2021? The first time that we. It was 2021. That's a long ass time ago.
A
Long time man.
B
And by that point you're assuming maybe a couple of months of pre Pro on it. Not or not. Naughty dog. Sorry. Insomniac sort of cycle seems to be four to five to six years sometimes. Damn.
A
I'm shooting my shot.
B
February.
A
It's going to take the April God of War slot. That's worked for God of War.
B
Okay.
A
I think you can work for Marvel's Wolverine.
B
I mean you, yeah, I mean you are getting in right before the deadline.
A
Right. But I mean.
B
Yeah, the literal deadline.
A
Yeah, exactly. There's no going fast.
B
Yeah.
A
So I feel like that could be Cool. And I think that that kind of checks all the boxes of needs and gives them the time because like there is another world where, yeah, it's an October game or something. And I think that at that point the GTA situation will be different. Right. Like, I don't think it's going to be as big of a concern. Like people will still be playing and that there will still be money spent on it.
B
There's definitely enough juice.
A
More video games have to come out.
B
Yeah. But there's also definitely enough juice that I don't think that you're worried. I. I think you might be worried if you are maybe any other IP releasing two to three weeks before GTA just because money is tight all across the nation in the world and people, you know, the amount of. All right, I have money for this or that and that's it.
A
Yeah.
B
What should I get? Or whatever. I think that something like Wolverine has the juice enough IP wise, studio wise for the. From the, the team that brought You Spider Man 1 and like that carries a lot of weight with it Now. I'm also excited about what else is in this state of play.
A
Soros. Like that's another one. Like we gotta see it again. And I. Because I do. Was that dated year wise at least? I think we got a 2026 on that. Didn't.
B
No way did we. I'm not sure.
A
I don't know. Chat let me know.
B
I don't believe so.
A
I also don't know how to spell Soros.
B
How do you spell S A R O S?
A
Oh, I added a U.
B
You're thinking of the. The Destiny gun called the Ciros.
A
You're right.
B
That is exactly 2026 was the. The given date.
A
Oh, they did. Okay then. Dude, where's that going? I mean I. That could be a February game time.
B
To me it just doesn't make sense anymore because then I look at Return, I'm like, oh, Returnal is 2021 as well.
A
Like, wasn't it early. Wasn't it February?
B
Yes, that was an early 2021 game.
A
February 15th.
B
Yeah.
A
Like I know things don't have to follow the patterns that they have before. Exactly. But I think that with all the information we have, those are kind of safe assumptions. Right? I know we haven't seen anything from Soros, but I also don't think that's the type of game that they need to show three different trailers for at a bunch of different events. It can kind of the next one. Can it be the big. Because like yeah, I believe a State of place coming next week? Sure, why not? Right? Like this timing sounds good. They do like to do state of plays in September. There's enough rumors around this circulating that there could have been two state of plays this month. And we got the James Bond one, so this does make sense. And yeah, just kind of filling out the calendar for PlayStation. It's like. Yeah, they. They have some announcements make both third party and first party, so it'd be cool.
B
February, Sorrows. Now we're just jumping crazy prediction.
A
I mean, I. I love it, dude. February, Soros and Wolverine. April. I don't think they give the April date in this stay to play, but they do a game awards.
B
Gosh. I want to just see Sorrows gameplay. Yeah, I want to see. I want to see my. My father. Yeah, Mr. Coley just out there doing his thing.
A
Oh, man, it's so cool. He's the coolest.
B
It's the coolest on the planet. I still can't believe this is like a thing.
A
This is unbelievable.
B
It's still so wild.
A
Greasy Grover super chat saying, I think Sorrows before May as it's the smaller IP that benefits from an early calendar release. Wolverine would be a good holiday game after GTA summer. That totally could work too.
B
Yeah.
A
But for some reason I feel it in my balls both before gta.
B
And we're also. I think we're running out of time for.
A
A.
B
A date announcement or a year announcement this year for Phantom Blade 0. Because the devs have always been mentioning we will announce a year this year.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
Like we're not gonna give you a release date this year. We will announce a release year window or whatever at. By the end of 2025.
A
Yeah.
B
And they are tied with PlayStation. You know, they. And a lot of publishing deals happening there. So that could be another announcement there.
A
Yeah, I like.
B
I like announcement.
A
I know, man.
B
It's so exciting.
A
We're such a good time. Let's see. Let's do one more story before we hit the ads here. Story number two, Dispatch. The superhero comedy from X Telltale devs confirms PC and PS5 release date. An episodic release. This comes from Ryan McCaffrey at IGN Dispatch. The upcoming workplace superhero comedy adventure game with a strategy layer from a group of X Telltale developers is coming to PC and PS5 on October 22nd. An embarrassment of riches everybody with video games right now. It'll be released episodically over the course of four weeks with two episodes dropping each week starting on October 22nd. Very interesting. Can't Wait to talk to you about that. It's priced at $30 for the full season or 40 for the deluxe version of the full season that includes a digital art book and four digital comics. We think the release format is an underrated part of the player experience. Ad Hoc co founder and Dispatch creative director Nick Herman said. Episodics, a format that makes the story easy to slip into, easy to keep up with, and easy to share with friends. We want the launch of Dispatch to be appointment gaming, but with the weekly cadence of a TV show and as opposed to. As opposed to asking people to wait months between each release. Andy. Okay, what do you think? There's some interesting things here, but there's a lot of trepidation.
B
Yeah, yeah. So the two episodes dropping each week that if all of that can stick to the plan. Because with a lot of these episodic releases, they don't stick to the schedule, and that's not necessarily their fault. I mean, I think a lot of. There's a lot of outside factors that go into that and just game development being game development. But this could be. This is like a big if. This could be the, like the best form we've seen of episodic releases ever. Because there's. It never goes to plan. Or it could just be another one in the long line of. Man, you really kind of fumbled the bag right here. Like, we had some momentum and then people lost interest in it.
A
I don't think there is any good example of episodic releases working in the past since Walking Dead. Right. And that was a very different time with a game that was incredible compared to a lot of the following of things that tried the episodic structure. There have been examples of, like, wins. Right. And I think that what we qualify as episodic. I think I see Half Life, two episodes in the chat. Oh, no, that's different. Right. But I think that where we're at in this year, 2025, releasing a game episodically is like, you're killing your game. You're killing the chance of success here. But to your point, Andy, one month is a tight enough turnaround with enough releases to a week. I think my gut would tell me, why do that. Just do, like, make it one longer one a week. But I think it's smart to, like, allow people to have that. Like, let's take a break. Let's play one episode today, one in a couple days. Like, it allows it to be fresh and keep it on their mind for that entire month.
B
And also maybe not that and that's also kind of a great strategy, because what if that one episode, if they were planning on doing one. That was my initial thought. Why not just do one? One a week. But if that thing is eight to nine hours long.
A
Exactly.
B
Then you're like, oh, I kind of lost track. I lost momentum with my own gameplay as well.
A
Yeah. So I think that there is a lot of asterisk. There's a lot of ifs here. But I'm happy they're trying something different. I am scared. When we, before the show started, I read this and I was like, oh, no. But I didn't read the details and the cadence they have here. If they can hit it, I think there's potential it could work. There's again, so many ifs. The game has to be amazing. If the game is amazing, and it seems like it is, so far, the previews were great and, like, the cast is amazing, the looks amazing. The hook is there. Like, if they get people like us, like, can you imagine if kind of funny plays this game and, like, does a gamescast conversation about it with the audience?
B
It could be a really awesome kind of. You know, I was gonna say organic groundswell of enthusiasm, but, you know, it's not. Nothing too organic about, like, planning out stuff like this. Right. But I, I, again, this is. I, I think there are enough examples of failures in the past that unless you know for a fact that you can pull it off, that you don't even attempt this anymore.
A
Yeah.
B
And for sure, I hope that there's been more than enough market research into this going, here's all the reasons why we shouldn't do this and all the reasons why they failed.
A
Yep.
B
And why maybe all the prep and planning and development that we put into this can work and will work.
A
Yeah. And so here's my thing. This release strategy makes this a much easier sell for me and Gia to play it together every week.
B
That's awesome.
A
You know, and I feel like there's going to be. That's. I would not sell the game based on that and based on the people like me in that situation out there. But I do think this is the type of game that can be a more communal experience. Right.
B
So put it in the trailer. Tim and Gia will play every week.
A
Exactly. Exactly. But again, that's if it's good and if it actually hits those times and if they're like, it needs to get everything right. Like, if this game is just done. Done already, they are gold. And they are just deciding to distribute it this way. That's awesome. If we know that every Thursday at 9am Pacific, a new dispatch is coming out or whatever it is. I'm interested. I don't have the most faith, but I am interested and I'm hopeful. Let's see.
B
Right. And looking at the. The calendar kind of around that time, Moonlighters the next day, Moonlighter Tubes the the following day, the day before, we have Jurassic World Evolution 3. You're gonna have to. You're gonna have to fight tooth and nail to get me out of the park. I'm be building my part.
A
Really? Are you. You thinking you spend.
B
I'm so pumped up.
A
Yeah.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
I love dinosaurs. Anytime I've hopped into any sort of like zoo tycoon game, I'm like, man, these games are so my. Why don't I play these more? I'm. I'm really pumped for Jurassic World Evolution.
A
But that's the thing. If you're. If there are those games and like, they are just asking for two hours.
B
Of your time, right?
A
Per sitting. Like, I don't know. Whatever.
B
We'll see gotten for the 20th tin like Pokemon Legends Z A. Oh, my God.
A
We need to chill, everybody.
B
You know what's really wild? That keeper is the 17th and October 17th. Yeah. And I feel like we're not talking about it enough. I feel like it's not getting as much buzz as it should be. You know what I mean?
A
I've heard. I've heard whispers of Keeper enough that I'm like, I didn't know it was coming next month, but that's just because I don't want to believe it.
B
But I just feel like, man, Tim Schaefer, like, you know what I mean? Like, it's. It's double fine. It's. It's the. The next big one after, though.
A
I don't know. I don't think it is.
B
It's not like a Tim Schaefer LED joint.
A
Well, I mean, I'm not saying that, but I feel like it's like it's. I don't think this is the next big Double Fine game.
B
But like, they just. It's not like they put games out every year or so, you know?
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
I think just with all of the enthusiasm that that documentary had and you know, all. All the buzz that that had following the success of. Of Psychonauts 2 and how much critical love that that was given, I just feel like we'd be.
A
Tim's not leading it.
B
Tim's not leading it. Okay. Okay. Okay.
A
Which confused me. Multiple people in the chat said Tim's not leading it.
B
And I was like, Hebrew is not led by Tim.
A
Different Tims.
B
Okay, good to know.
A
Portland Kevin. Mina the Hollower.
B
When's that?
A
Halloween, I think.
B
Oh, you know, the Halloween.
A
Oh, everybody.
B
Mina Kimes.
A
God bless us in video games. And God bless me to Kimes. Hey, we're about to take a quick break. We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors.

A
And we're back with story number three. Sega resurrects its old blast processing Genesis TV add to fire shots at Mario Kart World. This comes from Chris Scullion at vgc. Let's watch the trailer here. Okay. Very excited. I haven't seen it, but I mean, it's very up my alley.
B
That kart racing game, it's great. We don't need to show it to you.
A
But what if you can blast through and race on a whole nother level? What if you could warp across different dimensions, fully customize and build out your machine and compete head to head across different platforms?
B
Or what if you want to roam around on the open road like a loser?
A
Good for them. You know what I mean? Like, even with the Sega good for them. Just good for them. Why not, you know, have fun, it's been a while. Deserve something.
B
It's been a while since we've had, you know, any sort of attacks.
A
Yeah, too nice if I'm being real. Yeah, because they have to because now they're trying to sell copies on the console. Yeah, it's not a real fight anymore, but no, I love it.
B
If this were the 90s, it wouldn't have been, you know, this game, it's great. It would have been like, this game sucks. You know what I mean?
A
Yeah, exactly.
B
Great for them.
A
Sega's released a new ad for Sonic Racing Cross Worlds which harks back to the days of its 90s war with Nintendo. The latest ad shows the TV playing a blurred out version of Mario Kart World with a voiceover saying, we all know the kart racing game. It's great. We don't need to show you. You just watch the ad. You saw that, you know what happened here. Long term, Sega fans will recognize the ad as an homage to the company's infamous US blast processing ad from the early 90s, where a TV showing. Kevin, can you find that please? Has blast processing. Super Nintendo doesn't. So what's blast processing do?
B
Oh, I didn't realize it was like exactly like that. For audio listers, it's like the exact style of commercial. I didn't realize that there's a fart sound. There was a fart sound. Yes, The SEGA gen. Kevin, take us.
A
To the white cargoes.
C
And what if you don't have blast processing?
B
They're kind of a. Kind of a car fart.
A
Oh, maybe it was a little trombone there.
B
Yeah, yeah, okay.
A
God, that might have been the most excited I've ever got.
B
Fart sounds confirmed.
A
Oh, Lord. Both the old and new ads end with the slogan welcome to the next level, followed by eraser shouting sega in a very iconic fashion. Cool. Love that. Let's have fun out here.
B
Yeah, I, I, I just, I'm a sucker for the nostalgia stuff.
A
Yeah, me too.
B
You know, Paul Rudd coming back for that Nintendo commercial, like all that stuff just makes me smile and.
A
Yeah.
B
And it just gets me even more mad the fact that they haven't updated that stupid Eminem's Christmas commercial. He does exist. They do exist. Put that in widescreen. What are we doing?
A
Figure it out.
B
Get a celebrity to be Santa Claus. Like, it's an easy win.
A
It is. What celebrity you want?
B
Seth Rogen. Yeah, yeah.
A
Oh, that's real. And also Paul Bettany was my bet Wanda.
B
He says it. Also the Corona commercial. Another Christmas one where it's the island. Yep. And that shit's still in 4, 3. Yeah, and it's still gross looking like. Put some work into your marketing, dude.
A
Man, we really, really do, Louise.
B
Tim, also the guy at the corner store. Quit asking me if I have a 711 card. You know, I don't. I see you almost every day. This is another complaint I have.
A
Wait, at the corner store or at the 711 local?
B
7 11.
A
Oh, okay, okay.
B
I mean, they're there. What do you mean?
A
Well, I, I, I don't know.
B
Just corner store, 7 11.
A
I thought just the guy, like I crossed the street was asking for your 711 card.
B
Oh, no, no, no, no. Guy.
A
I understand. I just wouldn't call 711 a corner store. I understand that it is, but it, because it's a brand. I call it a 7 11.
B
Oh, okay, okay.
A
I feel like it stands above stands.
B
Alone because I didn't really grow up with 7/11. We had like Circle K is what they were called. We had.
A
Would you call those corner stores or would you call them?
B
They were all just corner stores. Oh, they're all corner stores. Yeah. Interesting corn stores. We had. I had a friend of mine who would enunciate the store. Yeah, corner store. But anyway, this guy. You have your number, sir? No, I don't have one of these cards. Yeah, I tried one time many years ago. I don't know what happened to that email. I don't have a. You see me almost every day. Just know to hit next, you know, unless your boss is around, you know.
A
Yeah, yeah. I feel that you're trying to get some power up reward cards. You know what I mean? You want to trade in your virtual.
B
I'm not Trying to get a burrito here. Yeah.
A
Oh, Andy.
B
What?
A
I know we're already going long and this seat sucks. What's going on with this life? It's a whole goddamn thing. I've been getting so much on the Internet and I deserve some of it sometimes. And even some of this shit I. I deserve. But I've been getting for my take on the Virtual Boy. Nintendo announced the Virtual.
B
Right.
A
Right when it popped up, I was like, yeah, this is so stupid. I love it. Like, just that it's coming.
B
I think we had the same right. Reaction.
A
And then I was like, I got to be real. I fucking hate the Virtual Boy. I hated the games then. I didn't want to play them then. I don't want to play them now.
B
Right.
A
And then what they show. Then they showed the peripheral that you could actually buy the stupid piece of plastic, use the stupid Virtual Boy itself. And I go, I'm fucking buying that 100%.
B
Oh, we knew you were.
A
Yeah. And the Internet's mad at me now. Here's the thing. Couple things. Did I know the price was a hundred dollars when I said that? No.
B
You should have known.
A
I'm still buying it, Andy.
B
No, no.
A
Yeah, but here's the thing. Often what happens with these, like, showcase reactions is we react. They don't tell us a lot of the bad news, they don't tell us the pricing, and then people get mad at our reactions in the clip outs without the context of us not knowing the bad news.
B
Right, right.
A
You know?
B
Right.
A
So I'm like, I just want that out there, having said that, to defend myself to some extent. I support them doing weird things like this. I have a collection I like. I'm a retro Nintendo fan, specifically retro gaming fan. So I'm like, I like these things even if I don't like the console. Even if I don't like it. It's like, I like that they're doing this stuff. So this is the type of thing I want to support. Because them getting this fucking weird means we might get a second screen DS attachment for the Nintendo Switch so that I can play Pokemon Soul Silver in seven years.
B
Right.
A
Not allegedly. You know what I mean? So I'm like, that's where I'm at.
B
Okay.
A
It's for collectors, weirdos. I'm a collector weirdo.
B
Yeah. I mean, Greg made a point of like, I can't wait to see Tim's dumbass sitting at his desk, like, hunched over. Yeah, stupid.
A
See, that's my thing is I don't want to play These games.
B
Oh, no.
A
Yeah, put down. Hate Virtual Boy.
B
Yeah, no, I think that's. I think those are totally valid things.
A
Thank you, Andy.
B
When we talked about. Even when we talked about the price, I was like, I'm not surprised by a hundred bucks.
A
I mean, not because I think it.
B
Should be worth that much. Because whatever the price you think it should be, tack on 40, and that's what you're gonna get.
A
Here's the big problem with this stuff, though. And, like, I. I know we're already running late, and, like, there's so much here that I don't even want to.
B
Have to go down, talk about it, get into it.
A
I. I've been talking about price a lot recently. When it comes to a lot of games and stuff. I've been getting real upset about when decisions are made that, like, that's her.
B
Being the forgotten land. Why is that?
A
Mario Kart 8 should not be or World should not be. $80. $80 is $70. I wouldn't give a shit at all that. Yes, that's what games cost. I'm fine with that. Eighties Egregious for software. What's going on here? This hardware stuff, the price of the Amiibos. Bullshit. Why are these amiibos? $50. All that stuff, this virtual board thing. Hundred dollars. That's fucking insane.
B
Do we know how much the Samus on the bike is things?
A
50 bucks.
B
Oh, man. I want it maybe 60 even.
A
Oh, no. Yeah. Oh, dude, it's bad. But here's the thing, though. It's the tariff stuff.
B
Yeah.
A
And like, that fucking sucks. But, like, if the tariff shit wasn't a factor, the stuff would be more expensive than we'd like it to be, but it would not be this egregious, expensive thing. And I know that because the GameCube controllers and the. All the previous NSO stuff were exactly what I said. More than we want them to be. But, like, reasonable, like, I get it. That makes sense. It's just now, yeah, $100. That. That's. But I don't blame Nintendo. However, I do think Nintendo's taking advantage of the situation. And I don't think that when all this fucking hellscape wins over, if it ever is over, that they're gonna fix that damn.
B
50 bucks? 60 bucks for that thing?
A
Is that what you're seeing?
B
What I mean? I don't know. I was asking you. Oh, yeah, Kevin, can you bring back up that Virtual Boy trailer whenever you get a chance? Just the very, very, very end of it, because I just had a Weird sort of observation. Is the. Is the font for Virtual Boy the same font that was used for ultra 64? Mm, that's cool. Yeah, pretty cool.
A
It's pretty fucking cool, man.
B
You would see that font back in the day, be like, wow, we're in the future.
A
Yeah.
C
Do they do have a cardboard version.
A
Samus with the bikes? 40 bucks. The Kirby one's 40.
B
Yes. The cardboard version, Kevin, I think is like 20, $80. 24. $25. 24.99.
A
Labo.
B
Labo. Get that Labo.
A
Baby story number four here. Nintendo fan spots unannounced character in Mario Brothers. Wondering. This comes in the Switch 2 trailer. This from Tom Phillips at IGN. I'm just going to jump to the chase. At the 2 minute and 1 second mark, there's a little minigame icon as Rosalina. You get to play as Rosalina. Mario Wonder. Yeah, dude.
B
Nice.
A
My girl. I love her so much.
B
Do you think Ariana Grande is going to play her in the movie? Me. Me and Mike had a your mind is my mind moment. The question was asked, who's going to play her? I said, all right, guy. Mike freaked it. He's like, oh, my God. I was thinking the same thing.
A
It's so good, Andy. Like, it just works. I want that so bad.
B
Yeah.
A
I think she's too. You okay?
B
Microphone. I was tilted off.
A
Oh, I think I'm shocked. No, no, I think she's too big. Ariana is a.
B
She's like five two.
A
She's. She is huge, man. You know what I mean? She's going on tour.
B
I mean, she was in the. Okay, but Mario. Over a billion dollar movie.
A
True.
B
She was in Wicked. I was gonna say.
A
Yeah, but that. That's like a vehicle for her, right? I'm saying, like, that's. That I think is a little bit different. That allows her to, like, make her little songs and like, win egots.
B
I think I can get an egot one day.
A
I. I truly believe in you. You're the most talented man I know.
B
Oh, wow. Thank you.
A
Yeah. What's the O? Oscar? Yeah. Oh, I love that, though. Ariana as Rosalina. I'm really, really, really into that, but I think it's unlikely. I can't think of who else is likely, though.
B
It's kind of like maybe you just double pay what's her face who plays beach. Give her like an extra 30 bucks.
A
God, man. I haven't had an outlet, really, to talk about my thoughts on Mario Galaxy movie and now's not the time. But I have thoughts. I Just want you to know that.
B
Anyway, gotta get to the stories. They're fine.
A
I'm excited about this though. Mario Wonder getting these new modes. Like, it's. These seem cool and fun. It's definitely a. A tale as old as time of Nintendo of just like, we're not gonna play these that long. You know, the idea of the multiplayer Mario Wonder, like the weird party game stuff in it, that's awesome. Actually, like the Wonder Flower stuff going on there, I'm like, that's like a real good idea. But coming off of this Donkey Kong Bonanza stuff, it's like, oh, like a roguelike on DK Island. That sounds like a really good idea. And I haven't had time with it yet, but talking to Bless, I'm like, oh, man. It's as big of a disappointment as it seems to be for $20 too.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. This Wonder thing come in, we'll. We'll see.
B
I mean, if anything, I'm excited to get back to it because it's a game that I never beat back in the day. And it was always like the. The prime example of.
A
You didn't beat Wonder.
B
Never beat Wonder.
A
Oh, man.
B
The prime example of Nintendo can still make things look so damn good on this crappy hardware. On the old Switch one hardware.
A
Hold on a second.
B
And I can't imagine how good it'll look.
A
It's like serendipitous time. I know what's going on. Okay. Nintendo of America just posted the Mario Galaxy Movie official title announcement on their YouTube. I don't know why it notified me. I don't get notifications from you.
B
You got to know this.
A
That was really weird.
B
You got a lot.
A
I thought maybe we're getting something new there. I'm excited for you to. To finish it. Like, it's definitely. I mean, it's. It's a great game. I think me and you are in the same place of like, Mario Wonder is not a. I saw you say this recently. Not a Game of the Year contender. And I, I stand by that. I love Wonder. I love Mario games. But like, I don't think that Wonder is like the greatest 2D platformer, which I feel like for the time it came out. I want that in the conversation. You know, I want at least people to be able to like, make an argument and be like, yeah, it was. But that's not to say it's not fucking awesome. And that the Wonder effects weren't great and like, the animations were incredible. The music, all that stuff.
B
Smile and need your ear While playing it.
A
Yeah, exactly. Let's move on to story number five. Microsoft Xbox PC app adds Steam games and access to other stores.
B
Oh.
A
Comes from Tom Warren at the Verge. Microsoft's rolling out a new aggregated gaming library inside its Xbox PC app today on the Windows the updated Apple now list games from Steam, Battle.net and other PC storefronts, making it a launcher for games you have installed on your PC PC. Microsoft's been testing this. Aggregated Aggregate's a great word. You dropped a good word yesterday.
B
Did I?
A
Yeah, on the gamescast. I forgot what it was, but I was really into it.
B
What? Let us know what you think. It was arduous. Arduous.
A
Oh, it was arduous.
B
An arduous task. I don't know if I ever use the word arduous. If I'm not putting task at the end.
A
I get it though. Microsoft's been testing this aggregated library in recent months with Xbox Insiders, but it's now available to all Xbox PC app users. It's designed primarily for the new full screen Xbox experience that will ship on the Xbox Ally devices, but it's also part of Microsoft's efforts to make the Xbox app on Windows the home of PC gaming. When you install a game from a supported PC storefront, it automatically appears in My library within the Xbox PC app, as well as the most recent list of titles in the sidebar, so you can jump back into your favorite games with just a click alongside the library integration. Microsoft's also rolling out a new My App section in the Xbox PC app that allows PC gamers to quickly install and launch third party apps like browsers, gaming utilities and rival storefronts. Rival storefronts. This new feature is also designed primarily for handhelds to help people download and launch games from multiple stores. Andy, you're my PC baby.
B
This is great news that it's hoping. It's seeming to be as convenient as we were all hoping that this device could be to merge all of these storefronts to not require me. Because again, Steam doesn't give a shit what device you're using, they just want you to keep buying shit from Steam. And if that's your preferred preferred storefront that isn't easily accessible on other devices. The fact that Microsoft is making it easy to say, well hey, we would love for you to use our, our UI and our devices or whatever, and you could still use your Steam library and it's gonna all sort of operate the way that we make it look and operate, but you're not Having to do crazy weird installs and go into the desktop mode and all that bullshit that, that usually repels a lot of, I would say, I want to say normies. That sounds like I'm using it as a pejorative right there. It's more of just like a. Like, yeah, nobody wants to deal with doing stuff like that. Everything people want the convenience, people want things to be easy to use. So, I mean, again, this is all great news. This is still one of those devices, though, that I just. Is it gonna succeed?
A
I just, I mean, succeed. I just don't trust it's gonna work like the way you said. I, I am very pessimistic about this. Despite being very optimistic about the dream vision of it. I just don't believe it's going to happen. Like, I, I know that they're saying it is. I know they're making the devices, but like, the idea that a Windows PC, Xbox like system is just going to work, I don't know, man. But if it does, fuck, yes, we've won. We've done it. But I think that we are going to be having a conversation six months from now that is really questioning, like, did they do it or not?
B
You know, like, we're gonna have a dialogue. The Charles Barkley.
A
We will have a dialogue, everybody. We'll have a dialogue. People in the chat question me like, Mr. Say, it's already working. It's like, how's it, Andy? Has it already worked? Had been already working, like, because it seems like I'm having more problems than not when I'm like, just trying to should this work this way? Well, it works that way, but doesn't work this way. It's like, well, I want it to work this way this one time and I want to work that way another time until that all is just solved. It's not working.
B
Like, this device needs to be operatable for the mass audience. This cannot be like, look, I own a retro. A retroid pocket. And to the, to the effect to what it is, it. It just works. It works as it is right now. Right, but that is for such a niche audience. And just working for this niche sort of tech audience is one thing, but you need this thing to just work for the masses.
A
Yes, and, and real quick, I also want to say for the, the masses part, this, yes, that is the most important part, but actually a big chunk of it. And you were making this argument a second ago, too. It needs to work for the dedicated. It needs to work for the people that aren't the masses. That are in this. And I think that yes, if you're just playing on one device and you only have that one thing, it's working now. Like, that's fine. I'm saying if you have a Steam deck and you're gonna have this other handheld thing and you have a PC and you have maybe a second PC and all that stuff, that's what needs to work. Because that's the promise here, is that your storefronts are everywhere and you're able to like, share it between all of it. And like that, to me is the thing that I just have little faith in them being able to pull off. Based on the past, based on what we've seen from Xbox primarily, but specifically gaming on the PC space outside of Steam, the Windows side, in the last handful of years. So from a storefront, from an ecosystem point of view, I know you could just get the game, open up the exe and it plays. That's not what I'm saying. I know that works.
B
So yeah, yeah.
A
Story number six here. Palworld will leave early access in 2026 with a massive update plan for version 1.0. This comes from Chris Scullion at VGC. Power World will leave early access next year with large update planned for its version 1.0 release, developer Pocket Pair has announced. In a video posted on the game's official YouTube channel, communications director and publishing manager John Bucky Buckley explained that content updates on the game will be a little quiet as Pocket Pair shifts its focus to fixing quirks and Jank in the lead up to the game's official proper release.
B
Nice, dude. I met him at sga. Oh yeah, last year.

Very cool. Since Pals release, we've shipped five major updates, each adding new mechanics, improving the game in various ways. Citing the addition of Raids in version point two, the new island in point three, Fae Break in point four, Crossplay in Point five, and collaboration with Terraria in point six. Now we've reached a crossroads and need to decide what comes next. While we have a lot of ideas for where we want to take Power World, we'll also need to start thinking about pal world one beyond just at 1.0. Beyond just adding new content, there's a lot of cleanup that needs to be done before Power can exit early access. It's no secret that Palworld has a lot of quirks and jank, and we want to take the time to properly address those before releasing this game. With that in mind, we plan to start cleanup this year. Our goal is to ultimately release Power World next year. In 2026. And we think taking the time now to fix those problems will ultimately lead to a better game. Development of Power World is not scaling back Quite the opposite. Pal 1.0 will be a major milestone for us and we have truly massive amount of content planned for 1.0 update. Rather than rushing it, we believe that laying the foundation now will lead to a better game in the end.
B
Man. Remember when Sarah Bono's just like all about palworld?
A
Oh, yeah.
B
Wanted it everywhere. Yep, yep. We want to put your PAL world all over the place.
A
And this is all about Silk Song. Yeah, it's cool, man.
B
You gotta be. You gotta be at this point. I mean, that's great news for a game in. I think the 1.0 releases are always obviously a super exciting accomplishment for dev teams. This is. Now is our time to kind of almost re release the game in a way.
A
Yep.
B
And that's, you know, I'm just using that as terms of like, this is a way to have another big marketing push. We are now hitting 1.0. For all of you who saw the game in early access, who played for a couple of hours, who thought, let me get back to it. When it's more developed. This is going. There has never been a better time to hop in to palworld with our 1.0 release.
A
They got the island. They got to Terraria collaboration.
B
You did a great job.
A
I know people that still play Palworld like every day.
B
You did a great. A great job of skiing, of skipping Sakajirima Island.
A
Thank you. I just called it the island.
B
Yeah, that's a great job. The new island. You crushed that one.
A
Yeah. I know people that still play this game every day. The person I know that plays it every day also has an ant farm in their house. So I don't trust them as a human being, but they do.
B
That's awesome.
A
They name the ants. Not all of them, but they have a couple that they name you and bro. These ants are crazy.
B
You can.
A
The way they feed these, differentiate them and then you. They drop like whenever there's like spiders and they're trying to get rid of the spiders, they put it in and these ants just.
B
Oh, my God, the ant.
A
Scott, some of the ants are bigger than the others. Some ants are small, but some ants are big. But if I wanted to know about all the small news items, where would I look?
B
Andy, you would go to the smallest new items you need to know about. What we News channel where we cover all the smallies, as you know about.
A
Yeah, that's true. Annapurna Interactive, direct from Tokyo 2025 is set for September 23rd. God, even more great games coming. Annapurna comes with the hits. Was it the Robocop game shown at an Annapurna event?
B
Oh, dude, I don't remember.
A
I think so. It's pretty sick.
B
What do you. Okay, so obviously they. They Stray was one of their games.
A
Yeah.
B
And that's kind of where my knowledge ends immediately.
A
New Game Pass Games are announced September 16th. Roadcraft 17th Deep Rock Galactic Survivor 18th Frost Punk 2 and Wobbly Life. 19th Hades. Hell yeah.
B
Hades 1 on Game Pass.
A
It is 1. Yeah. On September 22nd, Endless Legend 2. 23rd, sworn 25, Peppa Pig World Adventures.
B
Oh, nice.
A
Visions of Mana. And then on the 30th, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which I think is rad. There's one Lara Croft and the Something in the Something game that came out 360 era. And it's kind of like a. A strategy game.
B
Isometric one.
A
Yeah. And it was really cool.
B
Was that not Tomb Raider Go well.
A
No, that was awesome too. That was Lara Croftco. That was great.
B
Lara Cofco.
A
Yeah, but no, it was. It was a 360 game and it was. It was awesome. I think it's this one. So check it out maybe if it's the one I'm thinking of.
B
Annapurna also did Cocoon, Thirsty suitors, Solar Ash, and more importantly, they did Lego Voyagers, which is coming out soon or coming out today. Out today.
A
Oh, I think.
B
I think my. I. I got a little Steam Wish List sort of notification.
A
Temple of Osiris is what people are saying is. Is the one. Yeah. No, it's not. This. That was kind of cool, though. SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato. October 7th. Then for the King 2 overthrown in Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 on standard game Pass Core gets City Skylines Remastered Disney Dreamlight Valley and Warhammer 40K Dark Tide. And then for my GN, after being teased, the Persona 5 collab crossover for Overwatch 2 has been officially revealed, bringing numerous themed skins to the game. That's cool, I guess. But the K Pop Demon Hunters seem to be coming to Fortnite and I will be swiping the card. Andy.
B
Oh, nice.
A
Have you seen it yet?
B
No.
A
This is a. This is. I keep thinking about this.
B
I think a lot of clips on Tick Tock.
A
I think about this movie a lot because I really, really enjoy it is so Tim, Andy. It is so Tim, but it's so Tim in the way that it's Andy. Okay. At some point, I don't know what I feel like what we need to do is do a watch along with the audience. Just me and you hanging out just so you can experience it and just have people like watch you.
B
Popcorn with a pickle.
A
Yes. I promise you that sounds fantastic. Servios debuted the launch trailer for Alien Rogue Incursions Part 1 Evolved Edition. There is every type of. Why am I blanking on the word right now? What? What is a period and a parenthesis and a quotation mark and comma. And what are those things?
B
Like what do you call them as those things?
A
Yeah, there's words. Words are words. Letters are letters. What are those?
B
Punctuation. Punctuation.
A
Yeah.
B
Everyone's so overwhelmed with like you looking in my face.
A
So like.
B
I thought I was in trouble or something. He was looking at me so deeply. Oh my God.
A
I bless every type of punctuation is in the name Alien Rogue incursion. So it's alien colon Rogue Incursion Dash Part 1 Colon Evolved Edition. I guess there's not that much.
B
Yeah, there's not a whole lot. Yeah.
A
And announced that the re envisioned console and PC edition of the game will now launch an Xbox series X and S alongside the previously announced PlayStation 5 and PC on September 30th. Recreation, but it's spelled with like a wreck. Like a car wreck. Launches on October 28th on Xbox Series PS5 and PC. There's a little trailer here. You're in a little Dodge Charger cruising along the streets.
B
Would you know what a Dodge Charger was if worn for fast?
A
Not a chance.
B
I love that.
A
Remember when I called Optimus prime truck optimist? Anyways, it's burnout meets Hot Wheels unleashed from the devs of dangerous driving. Oh, that's sick. Pretty cool.
B
Yeah.
A
Formerly Criterion Depths. Valheim's coming to PS5 in 2026.
B
Ooh. Yep, that'll be big.
A
AJS Biophysical says. Hey, Tim, can you explain an Oxford comma? I would love to. That's when there's a word, comma, word, comma, and the other word.
B
Nice. Because you don't want to group those two words together. You're not saying that word and that word. You're saying that word and as well that other word. Nice, dude.
A
Henry. Halfhead is coming out on the it's now out now on Nintendo Switch family of consoles, PS5 and the personal computer. Why'd they write it that way? Co published by Pop Agenda. And that's it for WE news. Sick. We got a Lot of super chats. Let's get to them.
B
Yeah, I got a super chat here, Tim, with some silksong spoilers about bosses and some stuff in them. So I won't read it, but thank you Nathan for your very generous ten dollar super chat. Congratulating me on.
A
Hell yes.
B
On beating the game. Because the game was beat. We beat that game.
A
Beat that game.
B
We didn't roll credits.
A
I didn't beat the game.
B
I beat the game.
A
I really, I hope I beat the game. Andy, I'm trying for you and I think I'm gonna do it eventually, but it's hard.
B
I will. You know, there are going to be a lot of moments. It's. It's a very Elden Ring type deal when you're getting your ass whipped. In certain moments it's the game telling.
A
You go somewhere else.
B
Go look for other.
A
Exactly.
B
Go get some more health somewhere. But me being an idiot, me too. I go, no. But now these are the conditions. I have to beat it in.
A
Me too.
B
Or else I'm weak. And that's so stupid.
A
I know I can't do it.
B
So dumb.
A
I can do it like this. It's gonna take me two hours, but I could do it like this.
B
I think if I played the way a smart person would play that value their time, I maybe would have beaten the game in about, maybe, you know, upwards of in the upper 30s, maybe lower 40 hour count. I think if some, if I got to bosses and said, you know what? I'm not ready for this. But I didn't do the smart things and decided to, you know. Four hours on that boss, two hours on that. But whatever, you know, we're not smart sometimes.
A
Bulls Gold says I'm still trying to beat Metroid Dread and Andy, I've been, you know, trying to. I've been holding this in for a while and it's been hard. It's been achings, giving me a little gas. If I'm being honest, I have some grievances with you that I haven't really wanted to share with you because I've kind of just wanted to let. Let it be.
B
Let bygones be bygones.
A
I don't like your thoughts of Metroid Dread. I will not expound more. I don't even want to hear any fucking rebuttal or anything. But you need to grow up, okay?
B
I was asked about it yesterday.
A
Oh, were you really? Don't I want to hear what you said. I really don't want to fucking hear what you said, okay?
B
It's just is this game better than Hollow Knight or is. Is this game better than Metroid Dread? And I said, metro Dread's good. This game is an all timer talking about Hollow Knight. Yeah. So.
A
Okay, well, I mean, I'm not.
B
I was like. I said, you know, I was a bit more, you know, extremist about it at first. And I said, this game is way fucking better than Metroid Dread. I said, however, Metro Dread, a very good game.
A
I don't like. Use the word good.
B
I don't like this.
A
I don't. You know what our fucking kind of funny scale is?
B
It's a good game.
A
Resolute says, congrats, Tim. Thank you so much. Dolphin Corn says, congrats, Tim. Stonewall says, hi, everyone. Congrats, Tim. Thank you so much. I'm gonna be a father. And that's terrifying for everybody because she's gonna have the best taste in metroidvania. Oh, man. Mr. Nice Guy Rise says, congrats, Tim. And Gia, Tim, I was scared too. Everything you said yesterday resonated. But I'm telling you, once she's here, so much of that will wash away. Thank you so much. I appreciate the support. There's just a lot of congrats. You guys are the best. Alex Frazier, Graham of Legend Graham saying, I don't know what the news is about today. Legit. Just here to say congrats. Oh, God.
B
Mendo with the $20 super chat. Also, not only just a shout out to you, but also birthday tax. Happy birthday to you.
A
Hey, happy birthday. God, I hate when a pop up happens and it just won't go away. Oh, how am I supposed to read?
B
That's. That's awesome.
A
We got Gerald of Rivia saying congrats to Tim and Andy. Happy for both of you. Yes. For different reasons. Very different reasons. Chase Wilson says you do have to beat the game to start. Act three also got C turn style last night. So good.
B
Oh, that's awesome. Ier strikes out, says, any hints of the set list, then, yeah, it's good.
A
Yeah, it's good. If there's a song that you want them to play that is realistic for them to play, they're gonna play it. With one exception. Andy Cortez. Can you believe the one song that Linkin park did not play in San Jose, California? They played it at every other stop at their tour.
B
Oh, so this wasn't just for the content, it was just for your content.
A
They cheat. They switch up the sound list, like quite a bit. And I would say they nailed it. I was so, so happy with what they did. But there's one song they didn't do.
B
Guess in the end.
A
They did in the end.
B
Ok.
A
I want. I want you to stop right now. I want you to just close your eyes. Close your eyes. Think about Goku. Think about Goku with Gohan.
B
Drowning.
A
Drowning.
B
Crowning. Crawling.
A
Crawling. Crawling.
B
Crowning.
A
They didn't do crawling.
B
That's.
A
They didn't do crawling. What? Crazy. Damn.
B
That's a good. That's a good amv right there. That's one where like you just play that AMV on the way home.
A
Yeah. And it's just.
B
It's just. It's just in the rain. Vegeta just standing there, just looking so somber. He didn't know. He doesn't know where. Where he's at in life right now. Tim, his son is from the future and he's alive. I was like, what? He's got a half. He's got a half jacket.
A
He has a half trunks.
B
Has a crop.
A
I wish I could wear a crop Bomber Man. I just can't.
B
I do. For real, for real. For the. The Members Only ones that I've been buy because I have that purple Members Only and they have the crop top one. And I saw a dude at PAX west dressed as trunks. Not really like a cosplay. He was just like kind of casual doing thing, but he was like, guns were out, dude was ripped. And I was like, oh man, I was so close to like, dude, you gotta buy this crop top jacket, the trunks one, because it would like. You're going for the trunks look right now. You have the purple jacket. Well, he had the sleeves cut off though. Probably just to show off the guns. But like, yeah, this jacket's so sick. And every time I look at him, like I. I would not be able to pull that out too.
A
And I. I know I can't. But I want you to know, Andy, you can everybody please let us know in the comments below if you think Andy Cortez can pull off a crop bomber jacket. Because I. I really think he could.
B
Let the belly just hang out.
A
I think he could do it. I mean, you could wear a shirt underneath. I'm not making you go skinless.
B
Ant man with the 20 super chat. Thank you. Ad man says congratulations.
A
Thank you very much. Amateur Hour says thank you guys for distracting me. I had to put my dog down today and I really needed it. I am so, so, so sorry to hear that. That is the worst news I could possibly hear in my life. So hopefully this episode brought you some joy and distraction for just a little bit. We have a whole day of content to keep some things. Browning Spartan says. Congrats tim. Also the PlayStation concerts coming to Ohio in November. Can't wait to go dragging my wife to see it with me. It's coming SF in February. I want to see. I will be there. Will I have a like 4 week old baby? Yes I will find a way to be Kasha says Tim wins the Twisted Metal Season two Screencast that's not gonna happen. I loved it. You should watch it on the Mando says Bday Tax and Special Shadow. You already read that one, Greasy Grover says. I think Sorrows before May. I already read that. Ty Wilkin says. Do you think we get what PlayStation did with Yote Stay to play trailer that ends with and tune in on this date for more. That date being the VGAs? I don't think so. I think we just see it at the VGA's mellow fellow says let's not forget GTA 6 will have three major releases. Releases initial console GTA Online and finally PC. We gotta dodge all of those. Yes and no. I feel like though like the though release is the big one and then like PC I don't think necessarily affects the sales as much directly as in terms of competitions. It's gonna sell incredibly well.
B
I I will be so like fascinated by the end of the year to see where the dips in TV and streaming ratings like when they happen.
A
Are you bringing this up because it's Twisted Metal? Because I'll slap you.
B
No, I'm talking about gta. Oh when GTA releases. Gotcha to see the dips in everything else.
A
Oh gotcha that like people just weren't.
B
Executives just not really aware of what a megaton this is going to be, you know.
A
Yeah, yeah. Gondor's Condor said in the back half of October we now have Pokemon Keeper, Ninja Gaiden, Outer Worlds 2 in this. Buckle up gamers. We're eating out here. Resolute says, I understand how big GTA is, but there's room for other games to be in the release. Windows gta. It's not for everyone, myself included. You can say that. But like I don't think you're correct. I don't think you're correct. Jimbo685 says thoughts on Silent Hill F review comments by Dual Shocker's reviewer thinking it was a deadline rather than embargo. This is all types of bad. This is very bad for people like us that do follow the rules and Take this seriously. And it. It's really rough. And when we complain about Nintendo only giving us one code and the Pokemon za stuff and all that, it's like, that's because people in the past have made mistakes and, like, the companies have had to, like, lock down and make it difficult for us to schedule things and all that. Having said that, leave this person alone. I think that that are getting an unnecessary amount of dog piling. It's like they made a mistake and it's a bad mistake, but, like, they're human beings. Be cool. Chill out.
B
Andy's never playing Kingdom Come. Deliverance to this year. Dean Brown promising you, man, I've never.
A
Broken a promise and we got a lot of super chats, but we need to move on. I'm getting all heated and worked up and we have more shows to do. There's a section of the show called you're wrong that I don't even want to click on because someone tries starting with me today. Andy. I don't know.
B
Is it because I called dread a good game?
A
Yes, it is. Okay. I told you I didn't want to hear more thoughts. And somehow you used the word good seven times in one sentence.
B
It's good, man.
A
It's good. Oh, my Lord. Kebab says two missed re news items. I swear to fucking God. These better be okay. Sony's rolling out the DualSense firmware update that lets you pair it to multiple devices, switching by holding the PS button and pressing a face button. I appreciate that. I'm excited for that. That's going to be a lot of fun. I was telling Eddie this, but I was living my best goddamn life. Flying to Paris, playing Hollow Knight Silk song on my Steam deck next to me, like, down below my seat on my X reels with my dual sets. And I was like, I'm in the freaking future, man.
B
Again, not sponsored.
A
Not sponsored. Just in love.
B
Tim, why don't you talk about the X reels outside of content like you do everything else? Shut up about these. Damn.
A
God damn. My favorite thing is everybody trying to guess my baby's name. And I saw multiple guesses that were like, Nvidia Male Gettys presented by Extra. Hell yeah. Dude.
B
Oh, Lydia.
A
Dude.
B
Awesome.
A
Tim's now formally announced on kind of funny games content that he and G are going to be parents. Yeah, you know, I guess I. Did.
B
You just have a spoon?
A
Martinez says just for Tim's collecting the Spidey and Cyclops figures inspired by MVC2 or by another brand called SH. Figure hearts they're sick. But expensive. So is the Spider Man. Not even the. The. The same thing.
B
Oh, it's like a different brand completely.
A
Huh. That's interesting. Thank you for that information. I'm gonna look into that. That's it. Kebab's corrected themselves. Jokes on me. Andy, I appreciate you most of the time. You are the most talented person I know. Some things you need to keep to yourself. You know what I'm talking about? We're about to do Gamescast. It's a shit list. It's PlayStation's top 25 games brought to you by IGN. It's gonna be a good one, I can guarantee you that. I'm pretty sure it's me, Andy. And Bless. Yeah, that's gonna be fun. But until next time, it's been our pleasure.
