Andy Cortez
Gamers, welcome to Kind of Funny Games daily for Monday, November 10, 2025. I am Andy and I'm joined by Roger.
Roger Craig
Andy, pleasure to be with you.
Andy Cortez
Hey, Roger.
Roger Craig
But it's been a weekend. We haven't seen each other in a while. I think we need to get on the same page. Let's start the show with our signature harmony. You start and I'll join you.
Andy Cortez
Oh, so you don't want to go in reverse?
Roger Craig
Nah, I want to join you.
Andy Cortez
Oh, man, I better. I'm learning. We're definitely an improvement.
Roger Craig
Definitely an improvement.
Andy Cortez
Roger, I spent the weekend in your hometown.
Roger Craig
Yeah, you did.
Andy Cortez
Got to kind of just, you know, be one once amongst the. You know, all of the.
Roger Craig
You saw Zora.
Andy Cortez
A lot of communism over there already. Holy. It's crazy.
Roger Craig
We're going wild over there.
Andy Cortez
New York, you know, Got to be in the Big Apple. Saw Jay Z, saw my parents Man, a concrete jungle. Dreams are made of them.
Roger Craig
They're so sick.
Andy Cortez
Beautiful town. Would you eat tall buildings?
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
What did I eat? I had some Italian the first night.
Roger Craig
Okay.
Andy Cortez
I had a little. Yeah, a little cc's Pizza. Found a. Found a local joint. Yeah, just a local mom and pop shop.
Roger Craig
The Buffet pizza place.
Andy Cortez
Ah. You know, I went to an Italian spot the first night. I had a good spicy meatball.
Roger Craig
Yeah, you did.
Andy Cortez
Holy spaghetti with some meatballs. Delicious. They were so good. Yeah, it was only one. Yeah, it was only. And I feel like that was their statement. Like, all you need is one.
Roger Craig
That's all you need.
Andy Cortez
And you know what I love when. I love when an older man walks up to you.
Roger Craig
Elaborate.
Andy Cortez
I feel like only. You know, I feel like most people would not be comfortable with that situation. But when an older man walks up to you in a restaurant and goes, how's the food tonight? How's everything treating you? Yeah, everything good tonight. Can I get you anything? That's great. And you're like, oh, you're the manager. You're the guy. You're. You're, you know, Donnie, whatever. Whatever the restaurant's name is. Like. Oh, it's actually, it's your.
Roger Craig
Oh, you're the guy. Yeah, yeah.
Andy Cortez
And I love that. It makes me feel so at home. It makes you feel like I'm like Italian with.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
You know, and the. I will say the bread not good.
Roger Craig
Oh, yeah, Donnie, that.
Andy Cortez
Nah, I didn't want to break Donnie's heart.
Roger Craig
Nah, you don't want to do that.
Andy Cortez
The bread looked very kind of pre packaged, and that was the only, like, not great part of the meal. Everything else is great. And the next night, by the way, what. What was I doing in New York? I was playing Metroid prime for Beyond Beyond. And I'll be able to talk all about it on Friday.
Roger Craig
That's cool.
Andy Cortez
So super stoked about that. But I. The next night was, I want a little New York slice. Raj want a New York slice?
Roger Craig
Yeah, you do.
Andy Cortez
And I got the New York slice that I think most New Yorkers would go, ah, there's way better than that. But. But this is the most convenient for me.
Roger Craig
I got two bros. Yeah, that's the right choice.
Andy Cortez
Because I. Oh, really? Because I. I always assumed the two bros Would be the spot that, like, New Yorkers are like, yeah, that's like the. That's the place you go if you.
Roger Craig
It's not the. It's not the greatest you'll ever find, but I'm a big proponent when it Comes to New York pizza. Because everyone says, oh, where's the place to go, right? I'm like, whatever's closest. Whatever's closest? Whatever you can afford. Because that's what it is. It's just a street food. At the end of the day, it is just a street food that you can find. And everyone has their favorites, of course. But I ate two bros all the fucking time when I was at fit though, dude.
Andy Cortez
It. It was fantastic.
Roger Craig
Yeah. Was it a late night one?
Andy Cortez
No, not really. It was around 7:00pm that hits at.
Roger Craig
Like 1:00am I, I can't imagine. Get a little drunky drunk.
Andy Cortez
Oh my gosh, the flights. What a disaster this whole weekend was, flight wise. But the best thing happened to me and I won't be able to tell the story anywhere else. So welcome to kind of Funny Games Daily. But you know, my flight, I, I was talking to some people. The Nintendo event. Yeah, what time is your flight tomorrow? I said, out of LaGuardia. It's a connecting flight. And where they're like, oh, damn, LaGuardia doesn't do directs. You know, Newark and JFK do direct flights to, to SFO. I was like, oh, shoot, let me pay a little bit extra, look for a direct flight. So I picked a 7am flight from New York to or from Newark in Jersey to SFO.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Leave at 7am, arrive at like 11 something am. I have my whole Saturday in front of Beautiful. Woke up at 5am to a notification. Your flight's been delayed until 12:30. So panic mode ensues. Yeah, I gotta go look for a different flight. I gotta find something earlier. Everything that was earlier. Huh?
Roger Craig
Why don't you just wait?
Andy Cortez
Because I, I want to have like the whole Saturday because if I leave it, I just didn't want, I didn't want that to happen to me. You know, I just like, I get it. But like if there was, if there was an 8, you know, if there was an 8pm or an 8am available, I would have taken it. So it was a nine I would have taken. But I, I'm panicking. I'm panicking at this point. I'm looking for other flights. Everything's booked. Everything's booked solid. Roch. Okay. And then I, and then I was like, I guess I'll just settle for this noon flight instead of the 12:30. And I looked at the noon flight. Only middle seats available. And then I said, wait a second. Oh, what if I just wait for the 12:30 flight that was already delayed from my, my 7:00am Went to noon.
Roger Craig
Wait, you were gonna move it up to a 30 minute half hour?
Andy Cortez
I was just. And I was. He needed the day, Roger. I needed the day. I needed to see the sun, I needed to get out and about. And then I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna wait for this noon 30 flight. The one that was originally delayed 30 minutes. Dude. Roger, let me tell you.
Roger Craig
Yeah, tell me about this flight.
Andy Cortez
This is one of them gigantic jumbo planes with like three rows and then the four rows in the middle and then the threes on the far right. Oh, yeah, big ass plane. Probably the size of a skyscraper. Yeah, dude, it was about 30, 40 people on this flight.
Roger Craig
Holy.
Andy Cortez
I had the whole road of myself the whole time just laying up against the window, legs spread out, gaming, falling asleep. Dude, it was. It's the best fight I've ever been in my life. I slept like five hours of the six hours. It was so fantastic. What a great flight, dude. Aside from all the other delays that people have been dealing with.
Greg Miller
Well, good thing the, the, the Democrats open to back up the, the government, Andy. It's all going to be better for us.
Roger Craig
They, you know, they heard, they heard.
Greg Miller
About your delay and we're like, you know what?
Andy Cortez
We can't have, we can't have that happen. Thank you.
Roger Craig
We're just going to completely capitulate. We're just going to, just going to fall.
Greg Miller
We're going to get no gains.
Andy Cortez
We fought for nothing.
Roger Craig
We fought for nothing. We did it.
Andy Cortez
You like the fallout from. It can't be that bad, right? I think we'll be okay.
Roger Craig
Yeah, everything will be fine. Yeah, everything will be great.
Andy Cortez
Really quick. Yeah, go ahead.
Roger Craig
This is the only time I can really talk about this for a while. I had a great weekend. I watched Predator Badlands. Oh, what a movie.
Andy Cortez
What a. You watch Pluribus.
Roger Craig
What a fucking show. And then I played a few video games. I played arc raiders for the first time. Oh my gosh, what a game. Had such a great time. And then I played two video games. I played Kirby Air Riders. They had the, the test demo, the.
Andy Cortez
Tech demo or whatever people were playing.
Roger Craig
Yeah, yeah. I was confused too. I was like, damn, everybody's like insider gamers right there. That's crazy. I thought it was like, it's not for me. It's like, I don't know, it just doesn't work for my brain. My fiance, she's a big Kirby Rider person. She fucking adored it. She was like, she, she was locked in, like it like activated her gamer brain in a way. That I haven't seen in years. It's like this and Animal Crossing. Those are the two things that like just activate her gamer brain. She was locked in.
Andy Cortez
Very similar.
Roger Craig
Yeah, very similar. Very similar video games. And then I played maybe the game of the year. Everybody, this is not even ironic. And I mean this genuinely. I fucking adore Hyrule Age of Imprisonment.
Andy Cortez
Wow.
Roger Craig
Hyrule Warriors, Age of Imprisonment is fucking incredible. I'm having so much fun. I've never played one of these types of games. What is the genre?
Andy Cortez
So Musso, I did love it. During our meeting, Greg said like, yeah, like maybe you're not into miso games. I didn't catch it until later. Yeah.
Roger Craig
But yeah, it's so fun. The thing that I'm. I was like kind of shocked by is that when people talk about these warriors games, they're always like, oh, it's like super like repetitive. It's the same. You're just kind of like, you're just the same over and over. But the way that they have built out this game specifically and like I feel like I'm not doing the same thing over and over again. Right. Like they have so many different move sets that you're always adding in there. The animations are going crazy, the different characters. Like, I am not bored at all and I've been playing this game for about eight hours. Like I'm having so much fun. So yeah, I'm excited to keep on playing it. And yeah, this is replacing Final Fantasy tactics I dropped, which sucks.
Andy Cortez
Oh no.
Roger Craig
Yeah, I just hit a wall with that.
Andy Cortez
Oh no. Yeah. So you know what I mean Says that's very Roger. Love a mid game. Funny you say that blessing said the least surprising game for you to be.
Roger Craig
And I stand by it. You know what I mean?
Andy Cortez
Here's the.
Roger Craig
I'm a. I'm a man of the people.
Andy Cortez
You are. You really are.
Roger Craig
People of the We're.
Andy Cortez

Andy Cortez
There's a State of Play Japan and it is airing this Tuesday, November 11th. Real out of nowhere. Real shocker right there. This Tuesday we're bringing you a special episode of State of Play running for more than 40 minutes, focusing on games created in Japan and across Asia, alongside a few other exciting updates from beloved series. From beloved series to distinctive indie creations, the show, hosted by voice actor Yuki Kaji, will be packed with great games, interviews and new looks at anticipated tiles. The State of Play Japan airs on YouTube November 12th at 2pm Pacific Time. We'll be reacting live tomorrow and make sure you get your super chats in for what are your predictions for the State of play? Roger this. You know, we see this sort of thing in the morning and immediately you jump to what are games that are very Japan centric for PlayStation, that have really yet to be shown off, that have yet to be announced. Where does your brain go immediately? And is it Final Fantasy 7?
Roger Craig
It's funny, that's not the first one that came to my mind. I mean, well, I'm also Yakuza pills, right?
Andy Cortez
So I thought.
Roger Craig
But honestly, the one that came to my mind is like, do we see anything with Yotei? Do we see any type of like connection there? Like, do they show legends off for the first time? That was, that was my first thought.
Andy Cortez
That's a solid call. Yeah.
Roger Craig
How about you? What was the thing that.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I think Final Fantasy Part three, just some sort of glimpse either. It does feel like a weird place to be a main reveal, but maybe this is the start of them trying to start a new thing. And you know, it's always weird until it isn't because we're used to these reveals happening either at, you know, game awards or either at you know, Summer Game Fest and stuff like that. The really, really large station. Yeah. Or like a mainline whatever PlayStation showcases or something like that. But for this to be such a brand new presentation, I would. I kind of expect to see something like that here. TGS that sort of, you know, thinking back to Kingdom Hearts 4, whatever it.
Roger Craig
Was three years ago in a second.
Andy Cortez
So yeah, my brain goes to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I see some great mentions in the chat about either maybe it's going to be Horizon, the multiplayer game. Maybe it's going to be, you know, maybe whatever the multiple things you are, I think you kind of nail it with the Ghosts of Yotei Legends presentation.
Roger Craig
Yeah, it's. We'll talk about Final Fantasy.
Andy Cortez
Right?
Roger Craig
When it comes to. When it comes to that, I don't. I wouldn't get my hopes up just because that is such a big franchise and I do think that they have that they. I know they have that connection with Keely. Right. That was where they announced Rebirth was Summer Game Fest, I believe. Or they showed off that big first trailer. So I would expect that to be connected to some type of big presentation or some Keely event there. But I. When I. When I think about this event, first of all, I don't chat. Let me know. Have they had State of Play Japan before? Is this the first time that they're doing this? Because this is really cool.
Andy Cortez
I think it's the first one.
Roger Craig
I think it's really solid. Yeah. So that's a smart idea to branch out and to kind of have these. Set the expectations but also kind of show the arena of the things you're going to show to people. So no, it's new first time. That's really cool. I enjoy that. I'm excited to see what with. With a voice actor of. Of this caliber to see how they do the presentation of this. Right. Is it going to have the same like hey, it's just a voice actor in there or the little teaser image over there has like a little set going on there. Like are we gonna have somebody hanging out there and talking and you know, showing the games off and more of like a developer direct type deal. But yeah, when I. When I think about Final Fantasy, I don't see that. Are there gonna be other do. Do we see like another Final Fantasy remake? I. I know people were talking about six, right? Nine was the other one that people were nine.
Andy Cortez
Nine is the one that. On the Nvidia.
Roger Craig
Yeah, Nvidia. I mean is that even real at this point? Right? I don't Know, but yeah, maybe Final Fantasy 17. No way. Skytech in the chat member for 23 months says over there. Yeah, I don't, I don't know. I don't, I don't. I want to get my, my hype, my hopes up for that necessarily.
Andy Cortez
It's. It's definitely a fascinating one considering that this is happening at 7am local to Japan time and 2pm for us here on the West Coast.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Pacific time. Because we are so used to kind of having to wake up extra early for this and this is not necessarily scheduled out for our audience. This is, you know, this is meant to be Japan first. And I see a super chat here from Foxy Steve who says Phantom Blade Zero release date, very, very possible because again, 2025 was always meant to be the year that we were going to get the release year for Phantom Blade Hero.
Roger Craig
Hey, it's still 2025.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. But you know, considering like, you know, I, I believe Phantom Blade zero is it a Chinese directed and produced game. That's what I was under the assumption of. Not to say that it still can't show up there, but they do say across Asia. Okay. Yeah.
Greg Miller
Not just Japan.
Andy Cortez
Studio is based in Beijing, China. Yeah, I mean, yeah, Very, very good call. I think that's a. Actually a pretty spot on prediction right there from Foxy Steve with the $2 super chat. Kebabs with a $2 super chat says Final Fantasy 7 Reborn and somehow yet more Monster Hunter also a very, very good call.
Roger Craig
Yes. We have Monster Hunter Wilds. Is there going to be some type of expansion that they finally announced? We have Stories three out there, so I'm sure we're going to see some type of Monster Hunter stuff.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I think, I mean, Kebab says somehow yet more Monster Hunter. To me it's. Well, that is one of the better selling games of all year. I don't see why they wouldn't try to, you know, obviously a DLC was an inevitability, but this seems kind of like a very, very perfect fit considering how massive.
Roger Craig
I also think that's the kind of caliber that you're going to see at these things. I mean, not to get hopes up. Right. I think our hopes go to Kingdom Hearts 4.
Andy Cortez
Right.
Roger Craig
It's like let's, let's bring it back. We're going to see Resident Evil 9 again for the millionth time, right? Not the millionth time, but you know, we've seen that game bunch. Right. We're going to see Pragmatic again. We're going to see These games that we've seen before, probably going to see Onimusha. Right. So I think that's the caliber that I would expect with a few pop offs.
Andy Cortez
$10 super chat from Ty Wilkins. VO thank you for the $10 super chat. Very generous of you. Says the voice actor is Hope from Final Fantasy 13. So probably the trilogy remaster. Not excited for me. Only thing I care about in 13 is the music. I think it'll be a good show, though. And a $10 super chat from Romance dawn with a very speculative Super Chat says could this be a chance for them to tease the handheld or at least reaffirm how much they're invested on the huge Japanese handheld market and prep for an announcement? I. That seems like maybe too large of an announcement. But also it's. At this point, the lines have been blurred so much between what a state of play and a showcase is. And whenever I think of showcase, I feel like that is a bit more aligned with big hardware stuff.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Not to say the other state of plays won't have earphones or a monitor or whatever. But I. I. Part of me feels like a handheld may be too large for something like this. But I think with again, with this being the first one, I don't think anything's off the table. Like, I think everything is a possibility.
Roger Craig
Really.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Roger Craig
Like that big.
Andy Cortez
I think because it's the first one. Like, everything will. Like, if this one comes out and ends up being a banger, then we'll be like, well, they were able to announce all of these things at the State of Play Japan.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And because it was the first one, maybe we just assumed that it was going to be kind of a nothing burger. But everything is weird until it happens.
Roger Craig
You know, Talking about some more Marvel Token Fighter Fighting Souls.
Andy Cortez
That's a good call.
Roger Craig
That's. I think that's. We got to show more of that. They had such a. When they announced that they showed the developers, they showed the behind the scenes. Like, that was very much like, hey, like, this is a Japanese video game. And it would be a miss for them not to kind of go back and at least show some more characters and kind of go back there. Where is Decapolis? Where the fuck is Decapolis? The game that was developed by the team that did Ninokuni Nino Ni no Kuni Deca Plea. That has been announced years and years ago. We've gone radio silent. That would be one that I would love to.
Andy Cortez
To see.
Roger Craig
Where the is Deca Police. I think I drafted that like two years ago. And that was. That's just like. Yeah, that's complete vaporware.
Andy Cortez
Level five.
Roger Craig
Level five. Anything with level five is a toss up. JG says. Yeah. So I don't know. I would love to see something like that. I would love to see one of these big games that have kind of just disappeared. Come back. I think that's a great place.
Andy Cortez
I have not seen this in so long.
Roger Craig
I know, right? Isn't it crazy?
Andy Cortez
What about that one weird Pokemon style game in the city? Yokai watch.
Sponsor Announcer
No.
Andy Cortez
Oh, Ghost of Yokai. You know what I'm talking about. Bear Nose. Bear knows. We all know Dokev. Thank you, Jamal.
Greg Miller
Okv.
Andy Cortez
Dokev is the one. Yeah. Another one that kind of showed up and has not been seen for quite some time. We will get to more of y' all super chats throughout the rest of the show for whatever these predictions. Maybe I see Filaw with a super chat says there was a rumor that Sony was making a really cheap PS5 that will be region locked for Japanese market. Oh, that will probably be here too.
Roger Craig
That'd be.
Andy Cortez
I remember hearing those rumors because of this is when all the tariffs are kind of at their. At their strongest. All the rumors of how tariffs and chip manufacturing would really impact the market.
Greg Miller
And didn't Nintendo did that with the Switch 2, right? Like there's a Japanese language only Switch 2, I believe.
Roger Craig
I didn't know that available.
Andy Cortez
Maybe that's what I'm. That's exactly what I'm thinking of Barrett actually. So I. I didn't even know about this PS5 rumor.
Roger Craig
No way we're getting Kingdom Hearts, right? Zero chance, right? We can't believe. What do you type it in?
Andy Cortez
When did we see Kingdom Hearts?
Roger Craig
Yeah, what year was that? There's no way, guys. There's no way. We can't. We can't get our hopes up. We can't be excited about this.
Andy Cortez
TGS.
Roger Craig
Never.
Andy Cortez
2022.
Roger Craig
There's no way. There's no way.
Andy Cortez
2022 is such a long time ago. But if I wanted to know.
Roger Craig
See, this is how you were to make State of Play Japan Edition. Really pop off and be like this is the place, right? Is you bring back a Kingdom Hearts 4. Like that would be the ultimate move of like we're gonna make this something very special. I just don't. I just don't believe. I don't even know where that game is. And I don't believe that that game would show up here. I think it would be connected to some type of keely event or presentation specifically. But man, I don't know. Yeah, Vermin Dex Super Chat says Give me Kingdom Hearts 4, please. I'm begging. I know, I know everybody. I just don't.
Instacart PSA Announcer
I just don't.
Roger Craig
I don't think it's time. It's not the time. I know these are all vibes based isn't what all these predictions are just vibes.
Andy Cortez
It's so funny that you said that because I'm just looking at the Wikipedia and it says Nomura was able to finally realize his vision for versus 13 with the game and the Verum Rex side of the franchise and you're talking about Veranda like what perfect timing right there.
Roger Craig
Perfect timing.
Andy Cortez
What a perfect fan. Let's move on to story number two and we'll get back to more super Chats later throughout the show. Story number two Seven years after it was announced, the Elder Scrolls 6 is still a long way off, says Todd Howard. This comes via Jordan Midler at vgc. Bethesda Game director Todd Howard says that it's still a long way off. The Elder Scroll 6 was announced in at EA 2018 with a brief teaser trailer which confirmed it was in pre production at Bethesda Game Studios. Nothing has been seen of the game since. And now Bethesda Game Studios Todd Howard has said the fans shouldn't expect the game soon. Speaking of gq, Howard said, man, I'm just going through some real tough right now. Howard said the game is still a long way off, adding, I'm preaching patience. I don't want fans to feel anxious. Why the you show it so early then? You know what I mean?
Roger Craig
Also, like in general, do you not want me feeling anxious because like already, I'm already up. My life's already up.
Andy Cortez
Anytime I hear stories about this, it reminds me of a of a story or, or a podcast. Listen to way back in the day when the the besties were Talking about how BioWare was going through a lot of turmoil and that they announced, hey, we still hey, Dragon Age or ink. Dragon Age 4 is being worked on before it was called the Veil guard. And Justin McElroy compared that to like when you're holding like when criminals are holding something hostage and they're like, we still have like the hostages here, you know, like don't do it. Don't try to shut us down. You know, and that's kind of what, you know, it feels like you announced something like that early on just to go, hey shareholders, yeah, still got this kind of cooking back.
Roger Craig
Cooking over here.
Andy Cortez
Getting back to the article Howard noted that the that he doesn't like announcing release dates for games, that then having players wait a long time for that day to arrive. Quote, I just like to announce stuff and release it. He explained. My perfect version, and I'm not saying this is going to happen, is that it's going to be a while and then one day the game will just appear. End quote. Asks if you wanted Bethesda to shadow drop the Elder Scroll 6 like it did with Oblivion Remastered. He replied, you might say that was a test run. It worked out well. No, End quote.
Roger Craig
How sick would that be?
Andy Cortez
Elsewhere in the interview, man, you are such a mark already. Elsewhere in the interview, Howard claimed that Bethesda Game Studios has hundreds of people working on Fallout right now with 76 and some other things we're doing. One of the quote, other things, end quote. Howard is referring to VGC understands is a remaster of Fallout 3 similar to this year's Elder Scrolls, Oblivion Remastered.
Roger Craig
Shout out to VGC for just throwing that in there like these other things he's talking about. We know. We know for sure. Here's what it is. Yeah, I'm such a mark for that idea. I've always pitched that idea of like, what if GTA just likes it tomorrow? What if Brock Star was like, hey, tomorrow GTA 6 is out. Like, what if we did? I want. I want to have the test case of one of these massive games that we've been waiting for, for years, for decades. I want Half Life 3 to do that. It's like, hey, Path Life 3 is out tomorrow. I want to have that moment. And we kind of had that a little bit with, with silksong, but, like, it's a different scale of a video game. I would love to see in this modern generation where you don't necessarily need to get physical copies out day and day. If you could just be like, hey, fucking here it is. Here's Skyrim 2. We're calling it Skyrim 2 because people know Skyrim more than the Elder Scrolls at this point. Here's Skyrim 2. It's out tomorrow. Fuck, man.
Andy Cortez
I would be so fascinated to look at the heat maps if this thing randomly happened of like, what the energy consumption is in the world, right? What it would do to Internet usage, what it would do to just like data centers. And suddenly it's like, oh, that's. That's the day where we forwarded global warming by like tenfold.
Roger Craig
You still have to filter out all the AI centers because they're still gonna be right. But like, everywhere Else. Yeah, I get what you're saying for sure.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. You know, this is a, this is a fascinating story because it's just very, very contradictive the whole way through. It's. Yeah. Hey, we announced this thing. I don't like doing that. I don't like fans to feel anxious. Okay. Well, yeah, we're talking about the thing you did, though. So like, you, you are doing that. You are participating in the anxiety for franchises like this. I think. I wonder if part of it is this thing gets announced and maybe they, maybe the success of the Fallout show really kind of makes the company pivot in a way that says, like, hey, we could have fast tracked this Elder Scrolls game, but we got to put more people back on 76. Actually. Like, we were. We had scaled that down. We got to ramp that a bit back up and let's work on this Fallout 3 remaster or whatever other stuff is kind of in the, in the works. I wonder. Especially in the day and age where we are so IP dependent.
Roger Craig
Yes.
Andy Cortez
And when something is hot, you need to capitalize it for these companies. You need to capitalize on it and just go like, full in on whatever that IP is. I wonder how much of that maybe sort of change some things for Bethesda. I would love to. Jason Shri. You gotta get in there, like, figure, you know, climb through the, climb through the air, through the vents.
Roger Craig
That's how he gets all the scoop.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Figure out some info. Because I, I, I, I. Part of me really does believe that the success of the show. I think the show could have come out and been a failure and been a dud and been a Halo.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Sort of situation. And maybe not as much emphasis gets put on Fallout, but because it was so good, because it was so successful, because it, because they see the, the, the Fallout, no pun intended, of Whoa. Everybody's buying all these old games now. Look at these player counts on all, all the old Fallout games. This is staggering what it's doing. We have to really go full in here.
Roger Craig
Yeah. No, I think about that with. Of course, I think the re, the Fallout 3 remaster is kind of an answer to that. Right. Is that, that's them being like, hey, we need to get something out the door for season two or whatever that whenever that's going to drop. Right. But I also, I want to know of like, are they gonna finally do it? Are they actually gonna do Elder Scrolls and then also a Fallout game, like in development at the same time? Like, because that's, I think, the dream that if I was a Microsoft Xbox executive. I'm looking at that team. I'm like, hey, Todd, I know you love doing one game at a time, but like, we gotta figure this shit out, man. We got. You can't. We can't wait another 15 years or whatever it's gonna be for a proper mainline Fallout game. There has to be an answer to that. And I think that the remaster is that answer. But like, I don't think it's the full answer that Xbox would be very happy with. They want to have these franchises out, not if not annual, but like, you know, at a regular pace. So that is the fallout of Fallout. The TV show that I want to know about is, has that changed the behind the scenes of how they get these games out there? Because I wouldn't be surprised if they're like, hey, actually we're working on Fallout 5 as well at the same time and we're going to kind of get that out pretty soon. Soon.
Andy Cortez
Especially considering just how long game development now takes.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And if you are and if you've read any of the tea leaves throughout the industry and when Starfield comes out, the amount of people that kind of felt similarly saying damn, like this, this was the studio that we expect to drop the obvious success that is Starfield. This is the most anticipated. This is their. This is Skyrim in space. This is Fallout in space. And it comes out. And generally a lot of people say, we've seen other developers, including a lot other smaller developers put out stuff of equal quality and just because you're going bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. But when, you know, just considering how large those games were back in the day and how you need to keep on one upping yourself, including the amount of just how crazy long it takes to develop games nowadays we, yeah, we can't be on these 12 year cycles and at this point it kind of is starting to feel like they are leaning towards the 10 year cycle as opposed to, you know, all right, Fallout Game comes out five years later, Elder Scrolls, five years later, another Fallout. It feels like we have just sort of expanded that timeline a lot more.
Roger Craig
Yeah. And also what is Starfield going to look like?
Greg Miller
Right?
Roger Craig
Of like are we. There's that rumor, those rumors of the 2.0 version that PlayStation is going to get. You know what I mean? Like, are we going to actually how much of that team is working on Starfield to try to fix that ship, pun intended and kind of turn it around a little bit. So yeah, I would love to. Jason Shire getting in there yeah, Ducks.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Somebody call in the twitch chat. Called him the solid snake of games journalism.
Roger Craig
I love that.
Andy Cortez
I just want to see him. Jason.
Roger Craig
I think if we pitched that to him, he would love that. Anytime he just presses a button, we have it automated. He just shows up on the screen. He gives all the scoops.
Andy Cortez
You just have Todd Harlech. Huh? What was that noise? Must be the wind. Let us know what your thoughts are with in super Chats chat regarding Elder Scrolls 6. Why it's such a long ways away. You know, whenever I see that game logo I still it reminds me so much of seeing the Metroid Prime 4 logo. You know, like it was this. That's one of the first large things that I reacted to was the Metroid Prime 4 thing in 2017. That was like, I think my first couple months on the job and it's unbelievable that we are here now. I. I will get to story number three, Roger but first I would like to tell everybody about our sponsors.

Romeo's a dead man or just more characters for Marvel to con? This is in regards to the PlayStation State of Play Japan. Yeah, happening tomorrow.
Roger Craig
Put a gun to my head. I would not have been able to say tomorrow.
Andy Cortez
This game.
Roger Craig
I don't think I've seen this game.
Andy Cortez
Really?
Greg Miller
Where did this debut?
Roger Craig
I was thinking about another suit Again. Didn't he have another suited game come around?
Andy Cortez
This had to have been a state of play or showcase. I could see this tomorrow. Yeah, I think that's a very good Call Romeo's a Dead man was a very cool, striking visual game. It. And I think that 2D part was maybe only for the trailer. I don't know if that was like part of the game, but always reminded me very much of like Adult Swim whenever you see like the little interstitials that they have. By the way, episode four, Smiling Friends didn't love it.
Roger Craig
Oh, I need to watch it.
Andy Cortez
I need to know that was okay.
Roger Craig
It's not the one from the. It's not. Is that the clip? No, it's a different episode.
Andy Cortez
It's. That was. It was the Halloween episode.
Roger Craig
The good thing is that these episodes are so short you can kind of.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I thought it was okay.
Roger Craig
It's fine.
Andy Cortez
Portland Kevin with a two dollar super chat says it would be cool to see T of Annihilation again. I agree. Tides of Annihilation looks awesome. That's the. Okay. What I kept calling the 3D version of like M ender magnolia or ender lies that 2 which is a 2D metroidvania. But this is like the 3D version of it where you're not really ever. You're kind of attacking, but whenever you do, you're summoning like a spirit to attack for you. And every move is like summoning a new dude to always attack for you. The game looks so freaking awesome. It's starring Jennifer English. Oh, who's. You know you can't get a game without Jennifer English and Ben Starr in them nowadays. Yeah, you need. It's a requirement.
Greg Miller
Do you think Ben Star gets announced tomorrow as one of the.
Andy Cortez
Oh, he's got to be in it. There's no way he's not in this game. Yeah, these. Yeah. The art direction of this game looks freaking fantastic. Verum Dex, you already read that super chat from Verum Dex. Thank you Verum Dex for your super chat. Aaron Lime says Hail Mary Prediction. Sony is trying to focus more on Japan. Do they announce a new Japan based studio? All they got there is Team Asobi and polyphony. Oh, maybe. Maybe a writing of the ship. Like let's kind of get back to our roots.
Roger Craig
Yeah, we don't usually see announcements of studios.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I agree.
Roger Craig
I could see this being like the seeds of some. Maybe they have like some party, you know, situation and then that leads to something. But I. I wouldn't be surprised if that's.
Andy Cortez
I could only see an announcement if it was a big name, if it was. If it was former devs that, you know, even if it's not a name, we Recognize. But it's like oh they were the ones who led these Japan based studios or whatever, you know. Weisscast with a two dollar super chat says is part of the dead dev length tied to an adaptation. Part of the dev length. Are you talking about Fallout? Maybe. Possibly.
Roger Craig
Or maybe Elder Scrolls. Are they making a Is that what they're going for?
Andy Cortez
Maybe. Maybe.
Roger Craig
Interesting.
Andy Cortez
Koba with a five dollar super chat says new work hours Let me watch live on a delay. I predict Shadow of the Colossus and Demon Souls on PC Dynasty Warriors Gameplay Shout Out Raj and Mike man of the people. Man of the people.
Roger Craig
Man of the people.
Andy Cortez
Demon Souls. I don't know if it ever comes to PC really. I just.
Roger Craig
Why?
Andy Cortez
Because it would have happened by now. Yeah that's just one that I to go along with the where is a Bloodborne remaster where is a Bloodborne remake? I I put that in the camp of interesting they put out Demon Souls remake on PS5. Maybe FromSoftware didn't love what happened with it art direction wise and what they did to their baby. And then maybe Sony heard about that and said hey, we don't want to step on any feet anymore. We're not going to do anything unless you all because we don't want to upset you. Hidetaka Miyazaki and the rest of from Software and I just. I think that game just lives on PS5 for the rest of time.
Roger Craig
Yeah. In my heart of hearts I think that they're maybe waiting for the perfect time. Like the perfect from Software drought. Right. Where they're like hey, maybe this is. There's we have like a year where there's not going to be anything from software. We're going to. We're going to poop it out right now. I don't also from Software just putting out so many fucking games. So that's never going to happen.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Very, very bizarre Story number three. Dispatch has been a massive success for developer Ad Hoc Studios, so a second season is now a consideration. This comes from Victoria Phillips Kennedy at Eurogamer. Dispatch has been a massive success and the team has admitted it will have to think about giving us all a second season. It's an episodic superhero workplace comedy with the first installments released in early October. Since then, it was announced that Dispatch has sold over 1 million copies in just 10 days. Then more recently, the game topped its original player peak on Steam after its latest episodes made their comic debut. Even though the final episodes haven't been released yet, the Dispatch team has now acknowledged how popular its game is and admitted it will have to consider another season of its workplace comedy. Ad Hoc co founders Nick Herman and Pierre Charette recently appeared on Skill Ups, the Friends per second podcast, where host Jake Baldino asked the studio's next project here. Charette said Ad Hoc is going to have to at least think about it. The studio founder added, that was a question mark three weeks ago, but obviously things have changed now. And just as a reminder, on Wednesday we will have a review and spoiler cast for the finale. Yeah, very, very exciting.
Greg Miller
It'll be a games cast late in the afternoon, so we'll do games daily then I think kind of funny podcast and then the stream and then we'll do games cast in the afternoon so Greg Blessing and myself can have time to play the last two episodes because those won't come out until 9am for everybody.
Andy Cortez
I'll say this man.
Roger Craig
Say it.
Andy Cortez
These writers need a ride for everybody. The writing this game is so damn good. I'm so glad it's finding success. I know the biggest question marks leading into it were we've seen so many other studios fuck up the episodic release calendar. You release one episode a month after the other one comes out and then that second episode gets delayed because of things or whatever. But when you have a solid plan and when you have things perfectly laid out, I don't know if this game would be as much of a success as it is, especially financially right now with having a million in 10 days if it wasn't episodic. Yeah, I think if the game fully came out. I think right now people are realizing what the release schedule is and they are, people are wanting to hop in on the zeitgeist. This is a big thing at the moment. This is a massive movement. People are super excited to see what's happening and they're hearing so much buzz, there's so much word of mouth, what a great success this is.
Roger Craig
And you're seeing, I'm seeing it on the social video side of it, right? Where like when IGN puts up a trailer for the next episodes and, and the look forward, it's getting hundreds of thousands of views, right? You're seeing the tick tocks of people being like this is what happens when you pour water on this guy. This is what happens when you put the, pour the gasoline on the guy. Like it's, it's, you're seeing that social movement and the people being like what game is this? What game is this? And like we talked about the Telltale model for years now at this point Ever since Telltale One under and can they come back is what's the right move? How do you even do that in 2025? And I think they're showing that not only one is their hunger for this type of game, there's also a hunger for original new IPs that are using this type of format and genre. And then three, we're seeing that you can do episodic games if you actually are able to do it weekly. Like if you're not just doing the hey, we're going to see you in two months from now, like or six months from. Or we're going to do one half here and then the other half here, which is what they did for. What's that game? Fuck. Love and Bloom and Rage. Bloom and Rage. Blooming Onion. Yeah, well, I played the first first half and I was like, that's fine, I guess. Oh, I have to wait a month. Okay, well, I'm already playing five different games.
Greg Miller
It actually follows through on the promise of what Telltale was trying to do for so long, but then kept stumbling on over and over again. And I do think it. This really puts a lot of pressure on when Telltale does have their next big release, which, you know, they announced, what was the Among Us, Wolf Among Us two years ago. Does that ever actually hit? And if it does, do they run into the same problems as they've done before? Because, like when I did my Hands off preview and like we got a little bit of interview time and asking the devs questions like, like, you could tell they were very passionate about, like they believe in the episodic formula and wanting to prove that it works and not being beholden to a certain engine that would hold people back on, you know, like getting things to work, which would eventually lead to, you know, a pile up of dev issues coming in and then, you know, having to delay stuff.
Roger Craig
So yeah, yeah, it's. I am so. I've said this so many times, like wolf among us 2. I love wolf Among Us. I don't remember about Wolf Among Us. It is such a bad call that the entire future of that company is based on Wolf Among Us too. Like, it's not gonna end well. Like there's no way that that ends well. And it's just, it's, it's great to see that this team which was working on a lot of them were working on Wolf Among Us too, from what I've heard. Like, it move over here, make their own thing. And you could see the success there. And I think that Telltale's kind of look around, be like, that could have been us. And now we're kind of stuck with Wolf Among Us too. Which, again, it's probably going to be good. I like Wolf Among Us one. But man, what a, what a tough decision right there.
Andy Cortez
And what a, what a mark of not only such a massive achievement, but what a mark of a really smart, tight development team with great production and great producers. Yeah, keeping all that shit on schedule, making sure all this shit is ready to rock. Like, you don't get to those levels without really, really good producers, keeping people on track and making sure that everything's kind of lining up perfectly. I got to play episodes five and six last night and was just floored by this experience. It's one that I want to try to figure out how to show my dad. Like, I don't want him to. I don't want him to watch my let's play. But it's like, I won't. This is something he would enjoy because he loves and he loves Invincible. He loves the boys. Like, this is a story that, that needs to be seen by anybody who enjoys drama like that. With, yeah, high stakes, with great writing, awesome humor.
Roger Craig
Great call, actually, because I'm going back home in a few weeks. My mom loves Invincible and all this stuff. And I haven't played. I played the first episode Dispatch, and Lianza has been waiting, waiting for me to play the rest. So I was like, what if we just kind of have like family movie nights or whatever? That would be play Amazing. That'd be really fun. It's a good idea.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Shout out to Ad Hoc. What an awesome achievement that is so far. And really, really hope that like, if they stick the landing, this could be like serious content.
Roger Craig
And they're doing the, they're doing the critical role game as well. Wasn't that announced a few, few years ago or months ago? But either way, I know that they're.
Andy Cortez
I mean, I know that this game is like in collaboration with Critical Role. Whenever those credits start up, they are story number four and what real quick, just as another reminder, Wednesday, gamescast will be later in the day because Greg Bless and Barrett will be playing through the final two episodes and we'll be doing a Gamescast spoiler cast for that day.
Greg Miller
First half review, I would imagine. Second half spoiler like, we won't start off like, because we did, we got access early access only to the first half of the season. We only reviewed the first two episodes. So we'll do like a full, full season review, give our full thoughts because I'll definitely want to update my thoughts for how lukewarm I was on the first two episodes and then where I'm at now.
Andy Cortez
Story number four Halo Infinite's next major update will be its last so Halo Studios can focus on multiple Halo titles in development. This comes from Wesley Yinpol at ign. Microsoft has announced plans to put Halo Infinite into maintenance mode later this month so developer Halo Studios can focus on working on multiple new Halo games. In a blog post, Halo Studios said Operation infinite, due out November 18, is the last major update currently planned for the Xbox and PC first person shooter, but insisted it will support players with challenges, ranked rewards and community events throughout the next year and Beyond. Beyond Operation Infinite's free 100 tier operation pass and 100 tier premium pass have no planned expiration date. One of the new Halo games Halo Studios is working on is Halo Campaign Evolved, which is due out at some point in 2026 across PC, Xbox and PS5. Halo Studios did not say what the other upcoming Halo games are. Quote as we look back on four years of evolution and updates in Halo Infinite, we'd like to thank our community for your steadfast support, said Halo Studios. Without your feedback and enthusiasm, Halo Infinite multiplayer would not be the special place it is today. A robust arena for slaying and playing with something for every Spartan. With multiple Halo titles in development, we'll need our whole team's combined focus to deliver new experiences with the same passion and care that our community has given us. While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.
Roger Craig
To quote Adele we could have had it all. We could. This could have been it.
Andy Cortez
That's not harmonizing, it's just singing the same note.
Roger Craig
It.
Andy Cortez
You're just doing the same.
Roger Craig
That was good. That was good. It was harmonized.
Andy Cortez
In what way? What makes you.
Roger Craig
I mean we had so I will never forget that launch. I will never forget.
Andy Cortez
It's the most magical thing I've experienced. It's beautiful.
Roger Craig
It comes out.
Andy Cortez
It's like Elden Ring and Halo Infinite.
Roger Craig
It comes out, it's like oh it's free to play. Oh also the servers aren't borked. Oh also we can just play with your friends and everyone's online. Everybody. Everybody from all the parts of my life are together playing Halo Infinite. It was so beautiful and then just we didn't update it. We didn't. We didn't update it. We didn't update the right way. I'm happy that I guess we're going in a hopefully better direction. Hopefully they've learned the lessons from that. But also like, man, I just look at this as just such a missed opportunity and just a little sad. Just a little sad. I miss it.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, it's definitely something that I didn't see ending this quickly. Even when we talk about just what the player base is. Raj, can you look up for me on Steam DB what the Halo player count is currently that and that would be for Steam only, wouldn't count Xbox gamers and all that.
Roger Craig
Halo infinite is at 1700 people playing it right now.
Andy Cortez
1700.
Roger Craig
The 24 peak is 33,760.
Andy Cortez
Whoa, that is way lower than I anticipated. So when we hear about numbers like that, again, that's PC only. That's not counting Xbox, but still much lower than I would have anticipated. And I think, I think really what fast tracks all of this is everything going cross console Campaign Evolved becoming like the. The main thing. And as Paris Lilly on Twitter mentioned earlier this morning, hey, you may be angry that there's been no Halo Campaign Evolved multiplayer announced yet. I'm with him that I don't think you announce the first Halo that's going to PlayStation without dropping a multiplayer. Yes, I like, I don't see that as a possibility. Microsoft has done dumb shit before, but I don't know if you do that on like this is our first big PlayStation game. Like the first time you're seeing halo with the PS5 logo. How bizarre it is. I don't see it dropping without multiplayer. And I think all of their totally like turning the tides of what their business plans are really. You know, I think Halo Infinite is kind of one of the things that definitely gets changed through all of those. Those moving parts.
Roger Craig
Oh, for sure. Yeah. I, I am so like there needs to be this year, not, not next year. There needs to be this year a Halo multiplayer that comes out of PlayStation 5. That is a huge, huge missed opportunity in my mind. If we were to do this, it would be like Campaign Evolved comes out March, you know, April and then we get. End of the year, we get. We get a Halo thing. But I just don't. I think that this, that's going to be the November, December game is going to be Campaign Evolved because there is no data. I think that is going to be later on in the year. And then where does the. What is that multiplayer? Is it just a free to play? You know, hey, we're doing Halo Infinite again and this is the baseline and we're going to build up no, it has to be just.
Andy Cortez
Well, it has to be an unreal four.
Roger Craig
Yes.
Andy Cortez
It wouldn't be using the slip space.
Roger Craig
Engine, but like, I feel like it's too early for them to have a whole baseline.
Andy Cortez
Sorry.
Roger Craig
Yeah, Have a whole baseline of what the future of Halo is going to be. And also, I don't think they want to do a Halo Infinite again. You know what I mean? I think they want to have maybe these smaller multiplayer experiences that they can finally build off of and eventually do, you know, hey, here's the free to play Halo experience for everybody. But I don't know. What do I know? But this is. It's sad to see that Halo Infinite is gone, but I hope that they have a replacement this year.
Andy Cortez
Well, I do wonder, like, what do you think the current temperature is on releasing a Halo game in the year 2026 and it's going to be their first multiplayer game on. On. On. On a PlayStation console is all theoretical. Sure. What do you think the temperature is of. We can't just release an arena mode. It can't just be 4v4 or 6v6 or big team battle. We need to have the first battle royale, which I feel like we're five years past that point, but we've seen a lot of success with something like Battlefield 6 Red Sec. Is this finally time to release that, do something new in the genre or. What I've been wanting for ever since I touched Helldivers 2 was like, oh, man, can you imagine this in the. In the Halo universe with. With the. The sort of variety with enemies that you experience in the Halo universe?
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Like, I think if this drops first off, I don't love them just doing Campaign Evolved early in the year and then, hey, multiplayers later on the year, I think that's a massive miss.
Roger Craig
You think they need to be at the same time.
Andy Cortez
I think it has to be the same time. I think you have to. That's lightning in a bottle.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
You know, however long those numbers will be there, I think you lose enthusiasm if it's. And multiplayer is coming nine months after. Like, I just don't know if the sauce is there. The excitement's there. Well, it's free to play.
Roger Craig
Well, yeah, that's what I was thinking. Right. Like, it's like if they do the Campaign Evolved, hey, pay your 70, 60 bucks. Hopefully. That game is not 70 bucks, by the way. That's insane. But whatever that amount of money that is, and then, hey, we have a free to play thing that's coming out later. That get excited for. But yeah, I would love if it is that battlefield about, sorry battle royale type deal or it is something that you can just jump into that isn't. Hey, we're going to just do Infinite again. It is a singular special experience that me and my friends can jump into. And then eventually you will get that traditional Halo multiplayer later on.
Andy Cortez
Roger, I'd like to. I'd like to hit you with a pizza bet right now.
Roger Craig
Oh, wow, he's writing it down. Everybody.
Andy Cortez
Pizza bet. Thank you, Bear. What do you think Halo campaign Evolved launches at price wise? I'm saying 49.99.
Roger Craig
That's the number I was gonna say. But I like a pizza bet. And I like pizza. I'm gonna say 60. I'm gonna say 69.99. Yeah. 59.99. Pizza bet. Everybody write that down. Put it in a spreadsheet.
Andy Cortez
I. I wrote on my notes app, Pizza Hut. Halo. Andy says, let's see. Handy says Halo campaign evolved will be 50. Raj says 60.
Roger Craig
All right, there we go, everybody. We did it.
Andy Cortez
Well, it's. It's marked down. Everybody keep that in mind.
Roger Craig
It's in a document of some sort.
Andy Cortez
Huh?
Roger Craig
Notepad. I haven't seen someone open notepad in 10 years.
Andy Cortez
Oh, I use notepad all the time.
Roger Craig
Really?
Andy Cortez
Oh, yeah.
Roger Craig
You save or you just open it up?
Andy Cortez
Dude, it just saves automatically. It's crazy. It's just like it's always there whenever you open a notepad. It's just there. The that you wrote two years ago.
Roger Craig
Now I see myself talking about Hyrule warriors.
Andy Cortez
Don't get me started. I love no fat, dude. Okay, this is, you know, these are all things to consider. All things to consider. Roch. I'm excited for whatever that may be.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Story number five, the final story of the day from Soft's parent company reveals we'll get Elden Ring Night Rain DLC by March. This comes from Vicky Blake at Eurogamer. FromSoftware has not finished with Elden Ring or spin off Night Rain just yet. That's according to parent company Kadokawa, which revealed its latest financials that with elder Ring Night Reign, quote, performing well beyond initial expectations, end quote, we can expect new DLC by the end of this financial year, which is the end of March 2026. Quote, we are aiming for further sales growth for Elden Ring Night Rain original and the original Elden Ring and its dlc. The company added, quote, we have multiple game titles in the development pipeline. FromSoftware is currently developing Elden Ring Elden Ring Night Rain DLC planned for release in fiscal year 2025. Elden Ring Tarnis Edition planned for fiscal year 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2. And the Duskbloods planned for release in 2026.
Roger Craig
Damn Duskbloods.
Andy Cortez
They are busy. They're busy over there.
Roger Craig
Busy boys.
Andy Cortez
Super exciting.
Roger Craig
Yeah. I was just gonna ask really quick, your temperature on Elden Ring Night Rain. I know you were hot on it in the beginning of the year. Fell off of it. Does that land in the top 10?
Greg Miller
Well, is it a contender?
Roger Craig
Is a contender also, I just want.
Greg Miller
To shout out, I think maybe we see whatever this is tomorrow.
Roger Craig
Oh, that's a good call.
Greg Miller
Think about it.
Andy Cortez
Dust Bloods or the. No, no, no, no.
Greg Miller
Dust Bloods is Nintendo Switch to exclusive. I was talking about the Night Rain dlc.
Roger Craig
That's a good idea.
Andy Cortez
I feel like it's too early, I don't know really, for a DLC that's announced.
Greg Miller
Dusk Bloods is coming next year.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. We gotta want to say if you.
Greg Miller
If you're gonna do DLC for this, you gotta start doing that now.
Roger Craig
I think the Ninja Turtles are in it.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. In Night Rain.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
That's a good call.
Roger Craig
You only play as one of them though.
Andy Cortez
They only got Leonardo, only the sword guy. So. I love Elden Ring Night Rain. Yeah. It's a very special experience for me. I don't know if it's a contender just because of how jam packed the whole year has been. Yeah, but that's a game that. If the game wasn't. If the year wasn't so jam packed, I would have been going back to it for all of the continuous updates they were doing. I thought they did a fantastic job for bringing back fans to get back into this world because again, it's so hard to keep people into a multiplayer game, especially if it's not PvP like that. That's such a crazy achievement that they. That they have with Night Rain, which is again, them mentioning selling wildly past their expectations to have a game that you can beat and people will still, still go back to because they say, hey, we are dropping the ever dark version of this boss. And it's harder and it has new patterns now. It's not just bigger health bar. It is. It has a new phase. It is doing new things that are gonna give you more challenge in addition to them adding just a completely new difficulty mode on top of all of that fantastic stuff that they've been doing. And I think like, it helps that you have a very popular ip. It helps that you have a very popular universe that people want to exist in with their friends. But when you are able to bring people back to a multiplayer title without like cosmetic DLC and ways that really feel kind of cheap. Yeah, the. Those were the perfect things they could do to extend the life of Elden Ring Night reign and kind of get people ready for whatever the DLC is going to be. I'm. That's when I will be fully back in. I don't think the ever dark bosses were enough to get me back in based on how stacked the rest of the year has been. If the year was kind of empty and dead, I would have gone back to a lot of those ever dark bosses. But what a great time. Like awesome news that they. You know that that will be a massive big DLC announcement by the end of the fiscal year.
Roger Craig
Yeah. When Leonardo's in it.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Leonardo will be just swiping away. Donatello will be in it. But just an NPC that you talk to. He's just gonna be in the.
Roger Craig
You can kill him though.
Andy Cortez
He's just gonna be in the roundtable hold. Yeah. And then. Yeah. Super stoked to hear more about Dust Bloods whenever that may be. Super, super fascinating stuff. You know, that's really, really massive for from software to do, right?
Roger Craig
It is, man.
Andy Cortez
But I'm so tired of all that big news. If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
Roger Craig
You go to our last story, the WE news channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. I'll never memorize it. I always get nervous.
Andy Cortez
I don't memorize anything. From Rock, Paper, Shotgun, the team behind Blueprints puts out a a call to get one of the puzzle games devs a life saving kidney.
Roger Craig
Oh wow.
Andy Cortez
This comes from Blue sky. That's BS Tim. Did I get it backwards?
Roger Craig
Yeah, you can do it.
Andy Cortez
Over on blueprints. Game BSky Social A Plea for help. One of the lead play testers of Blueprints, Iggy has a polycystic Sydney kidney disease and has only a few months to find a living kidney donor. His story, contact and donor information can all be found on Iggyland.org please help us in sharing his story and getting the word out. Everybody go to this website Iggyland.org that's Iggy. L-A-N-D.org I just want to come out. Yeah, do this. I went and did it. I signed up. Everybody should go sign up.
Roger Craig
You got two kidneys. You don't need them.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Did you hear about Jesse Eisenberg? Yeah, like giving.
Roger Craig
She's giving away. Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Just giving away the same thing. Yeah. He's just like, why not? Yeah. That's awesome. Whoa. Be good for content to be able to tell a story, like give away a kidney, you know?
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And also is this you poke a.
Greg Miller
Mic to donate a kidney?
Andy Cortez
Well, I just think, like, it'd be a kind of funny podcast that would do like 18, 000 views.
Roger Craig
Yeah. Oh, that's big.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Roger Craig
Big numbers. That's almost me getting slapping numbers again.
Andy Cortez
Go to iggyland.org Our thoughts are with you, Iggy. We hope you get the help you need from IGN. Amid confirmation that GTA 6 really has been delayed again, we have word that Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 has become the fourth best selling game of all time. What?
Roger Craig
Of all time?
Andy Cortez
Of all time.
Roger Craig
Of all time. What's number one?
Andy Cortez
Wii Sports.
Greg Miller
Is it based off of units or dollar sales?
Roger Craig
Let's see.
Andy Cortez
Because if it's units, I would. I would Guess Wii Sports, GTA 5 or GTA 5. Minecraft maybe. Man, I remember like GTA 5 being in the top 10 sales for about eight years in a row.
Roger Craig
Minecraft was number one. 350 million copies according to Wikipedia.
Andy Cortez
Damn.
Roger Craig
People are Grand Theft Auto 5. 220 million copies. We esports. 82.9 million. I feel like it's a big asterisk there, but yeah, red dead redemption 279. And then of course. Right, but right on its heels, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Can it beat it probably will.
Andy Cortez
Dude, that is unbelievable that red Dead Redemption 2 has sold more than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Yeah, I can't believe that.
Roger Craig
Shout out Minecraft though, goat.
Andy Cortez
That is so wild. Pubg at number six.
Roger Craig
Yeah. Dude, what the.
Andy Cortez
I mean, every time I open up Steam db, it's always number three.
Roger Craig
I was talking to my brother about that.
Andy Cortez
I always got like 300k people right now.
Roger Craig
214, 000 people are playing Pub G.
Andy Cortez
It's always like CS2 and PubG.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Fall flat is. That's number 10.
Andy Cortez
That's crazy.
Roger Craig
That's sick.
Andy Cortez
What? Wow.
Roger Craig
So sick, huh?
Andy Cortez
Very, very wild. From Eurogamer. Sony has whipped up its list of the most downloaded PlayStation sports idols for this month. October.
Roger Craig
It whipped up its list.
Andy Cortez
Just talked a lot. Sony has whipped up its list of the most downloaded PlayStation Store titles for the month of October. And it turns out Japanese players are really digging the Adventures of Atsu in Ghost of Yotei Sucker Punch's epic samurai sequel is top of PlayStation 5. 5's download list in Japan, but it regulated to second place in the west where Battlefield 6 reigns supreme.
Roger Craig
Helena Gosiote.
Andy Cortez
What?
Roger Craig
Go see. OTE is going to be at this state of play in Japan?
Andy Cortez
Oh sure. Yeah, for sure. God, I gotta get back to Yote.
Roger Craig
So good man.
Andy Cortez
So I'm so mad at this one game that I had to play to review.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
For taking me away from.
Roger Craig
You gotta play Hybrid warriors too.
Andy Cortez
It's really. I don't know about that. Let's get to our super chats. More of the super chats throughout the rest of the day that you all have so generously sent to us. Kyle LaBouf with Two Dollar Super Chat says haha. Andy said doo doo. Don't talk about that, bro.
Roger Craig
You said doo doo. I wasn't gonna make fun of you, but like I'm glad that Kyle did.
Andy Cortez
Flying Penguins with a five dollar Super Chat says Play Dispatch episodes one through six over the weekend. Incredible. I love the way they do the title cards. The choices matter and the cast is goaded. Dude, the cast is so good. I am just so, so impressed by Alana Pierce, by Jacksepticeye and by Moist Critical. Like the fact that they don't do that for full time. I thought they would just be extras that pop up here and there. They are so impressive.
Greg Miller
Yeah, they're cast very well.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, they're so damn good. Hey, thanks for the super chat.
Roger Craig
I was gonna say can you do your.
Andy Cortez
When I saw. When I selected him, I went hey, thanks for picking me to be on part of the team. I appreciate. Thanks so much.
Greg Miller
Also, Jeffrey Wright.
Andy Cortez
Can we do man? Jeffrey R. I don't know if he'll.
Greg Miller
Get nominated for like best performance, but he should get nominated for best performance.
Andy Cortez
I'm a big fucking bat. I take shits the size of a fucking Walmart. Thanks for the resub. Let's get to Zeke Speak, who with a two dollar super chat says will y' all bring Jake, Lucy and Ralph on for showdown?
Roger Craig
That'd be fun man.
Andy Cortez
I would love.
Roger Craig
We gotta get them on some content. For sure.
Andy Cortez
That would be amazing. It would cost a lot to fly Ralph out here.
Roger Craig
Yeah, for sure.
Andy Cortez
Still be very very cool. Birthday tax from Jeremy who says hope you all have a beautiful day and thanks for what you do. You've been a big inspiration to me. Any tips for how someone could approach game reviews? Any tips? I would say like if you're. If you do really cool, outstanding, funny on Social media, whether it be tick tock or reels or whatever, like, I. People will find you. People will see that it has to be super unique and original. But, like, if you got away with words, if you have an originality to you. Yeah, if you have a humor to you, people will find that shit and be into you.
Greg Miller
I shout out to Critical Error, which is a podcast that I listen to. And a lot of their podcasts is kind of dissecting video game media, like coverage and reviews and how people write reviews. And I was just listening to their most recent episode, and one of the hosts was talking about if you're feeling like kind of stuck starting a review, like, a good way to start and just start getting the words out is just like, tell a story that happened. Like, what is like the. The thing that pops in your head first when thinking about this game. Tell me about that story. And then like, hopefully that gets the ball rolling and helping you kind of figure out your feelings about a game and go there. But also shout out, listen to Critical Error. If you're looking for good advice about that kind of stuff, they always have really good advice.
Andy Cortez
Arty with a five dollar super chat says, paying my birthday tax. Thanks for all you do. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. And happy birthday to Jeremy Ava nuts with a $5 super chat says, if the mood was made of cheese, would you eat it? It's an old SNL throw. You're too young.
Roger Craig
Yeah, I don't know. Was that. Who did that one?
Andy Cortez
Will Ferrell doing the old Cubs broadcast.
Roger Craig
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Andy Cortez
I'm blanking on his name. Hey, that's how he was. Out of nowhere, he would just say the word, hey, what's his name? Chat. You know who I'm talking about. If the moon. It's a Harry Carey. There we go. It's a simple question.
Roger Craig
Yeah, it's almost like. Like, what's a. Like Brule. Steve. Steve Brule, right.
Greg Miller
Oh, kind of.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. I would say, yeah, he kind of predated Steve Brule.
Roger Craig
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Saul Herrera says more info on the baby metal collab with Resident Evil anniversary. Also more stellar Blade 2 previews.
Roger Craig
I did not know that was happening. That's sick, though.
Andy Cortez
I didn't even know that was happening either. And also, yeah, I could. Could see something Stellar Blade 2 or something to maybe celebrate Lies of P and the success that they've had. Let's talk about another. I mean, what a best DLC probably I've ever played. Lies of P dlc and what an amazing year. It's Been that that came out this year and may make my top 10. Who knows Zeke speak also with a $2 super chat says Metaphor Refantasia DLC.
Roger Craig
Before I walk, bro. Where the is any of like, we need an expansion. We need something. We need the port on Switch to announce that out the state of play.
Andy Cortez
Who cares what metaphor.
Roger Craig
Yeah. Say hey, we're also.
Greg Miller
I don't think we'll get dlc and.
Andy Cortez
I honestly like hurt my soul because here's the thing. It's like if they do dlc, it'll.
Greg Miller
Be the like royal version where it's like, hey, we're gonna add story stuff, but you have to play through the entire game again to get to it. And with Atlas talking about them wanting to step away from that kind of stuff, like, I'd be. I'm cool with not getting metaphor updates, but I do agree that should be on Switch 2. Shout out to Persona 3 Reload. That just came to Switch 2 and it's actually really solid.
Roger Craig
Runs pretty well.
Andy Cortez
I see Shores said Suda51 is suited5 1. Damn, I didn't know that that's in you're wrong kind offunny.com you're wrong.
Greg Miller
We did learn that a couple months ago, but it feels. It feels weird. It's like when it's like technically it's Jif, but we all know it's good.
Andy Cortez
I don't listen to some 4:1, you know.
Roger Craig
Hey, that was good.
Andy Cortez
That was good.
Roger Craig
Welcome to the party.
Andy Cortez
Like, my name is awesome mjf. Lefty, you're wrong and you should dunk your head in the toilet kebabs with a you're wrong says Missed WE News. The Nintendo music app has added time matching playlists for New Horizons and New Leaf Music. These let you play music in sync with your clock just like they did in the games.
Roger Craig
That's fun.
Andy Cortez
Well, I gave my. You know, this little baby Ben took my. My, my alarmo. So I don't. You know.
Roger Craig
He did.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, he stole it from me.
Roger Craig
He's not using it.
Andy Cortez
I gave it. I gave it to him. Yeah, but I want it back now.
Roger Craig
Yeah, actually, you gotta learn how life works.
Andy Cortez
Watch out, Greg. You know, maybe bust it down that door. Thank you everybody for your.

Andy Cortez
