Roger McCorny
Hi, everybody. Hi, Blessing. How you doing?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'm doing well. How are you doing?
Roger McCorny
I'm doing great. Last night I had a beautiful moment.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
Where I'm driving and I'm like, you know what? I'm hungry. Lianza, what do you want to eat? She's like, I don't know. Let's go to a taco place, maybe. So we're going to South City. We're going to a taqueria that people have been suggesting. And as we're driving, I see it, I see the red light.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
Chili's hit a curb. I'm there and I'm at Chili's. And I'm, I'm looking at the triple dipple and I'm like, ah, I don't know if I should get the triple dipple.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What's the triple.
Roger McCorny
It's the triple dipple.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is it like.
Roger McCorny
It's a triple dipper. It's a triple dipper. We got the triple dipple because we kept on mispronouncing it, but I was like, ah. Should I get that? No, it's like, it's basically an appetizer. You can get three appetizers.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is it like three, like boneless?
Roger McCorny
Yeah. You can get whatever you want. Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Dipping in a ranch blue cheese.
Roger McCorny
Exactly. You get like the Southwest egg rolls. They have the sliders. They had everything. They had the, the chicken crispers, which, their chicken tenders.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
How's your stomach doing?
Roger McCorny
It's, it's doing awful. I, I ate the, we got chicken crispers. That's what l got. And then it also came with Mac and cheese. And I ate the Mac and cheese and I ate some of her chicken crispers. And I ate a burger. And I have never felt a rock in my stomach so fast. Like, I, I, I sounds ridiculous. It was ridiculous. But guess what? I just want to let everyone know if I can get my one really quick. Give me another one. Chili's. This is what you can have if you sponsor the Death Stranding 2 stream on June 27th. We are willing to eat Chili's for the entirety of the weekend. Maybe even going past the weekend just for you. Chili's, we love you so much, and you could be the brand of the month. Thank you so much. We're excited for our partnership.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Are you doing this just for a clip out? Is that what this is? This is a segment for a clip out, so you can tweet this in Chili?
Roger McCorny
Yeah, actually.
Barrett Courtney
Roger, would you wear the Chili's Chili outfit?
Roger McCorny
Oh, yeah, I would wear whatever they want. A hat, whatever. I. You know, underwear. I don't really care. I'll shill for Chili's. That's what I'll do.
Barrett Courtney
Oh, like, only for Chili Peppers.
Roger McCorny
What's up?
Barrett Courtney
The Hot Chili Peppers, right? Didn't they just wear only underwear? That's a band, right?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No. The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Barrett Courtney
Thank you.
Roger McCorny
With Dave Grohl.
Barrett Courtney
And Dave Grohl only.
Roger McCorny
Only wore underwear, Right?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
All of us confidently were like, yeah, Dave Grohl.
Roger McCorny
I don't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I was like, no, that's not who that is.
Roger McCorny
Excited about this?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Nothing you've ever said has upset me more than what you just said.
Roger McCorny
I'm so confident.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I came into the set. I came to the set just because your haircut is so good. I was like, I need to come out and tell you that, like, you have. It's a good haircut.
Barrett Courtney
Really good.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I need to walk away. Let me tell you.
Barrett Courtney
Wait, Barrett, was I wrong about the Hot Chili Peppers? One of them being only in their underwear all the time?
Roger McCorny
He doesn't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
He doesn't know.
Barrett Courtney
He's not a real.
Roger McCorny
It's not Dave Grohl. Apparently, we were missed.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I don't know who.
Barrett Courtney
Dave girl.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, Chad.
Barrett Courtney
Don't worry. He doesn't know that band.
Roger McCorny
He was the drummer girl. He looks like my father a little bit.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Your father does not look like.
Roger McCorny
I swear in my life, he looks exactly like Dave girl.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And also, he's. He's part of Foo Fighters. Ah, that's pretty close.
Roger McCorny
Well, he used. He used to be the drummer. Oh, that was Right about that part.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You're right. No, you're right. You're right. From 1990 to 1994, he was with Nirvana, and then since 1994, he's been.
Roger McCorny
With Flea, is what people are saying. Okay, so he's the guy from Star Wars. He was in. He was. He was the guy that was kidnapping Princess Leia in Obi Wan. Gotcha.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
The. The big old. The fuck is the name of that big blob in the.
Roger McCorny
No. Jabba the Hut.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
No, no. We're confusing different things. But I was right.
Barrett Courtney
The kid brother in the wild Thornberrys.
Roger McCorny
Right. See, everybody in the chat is like. They're like, roger, you're right on that one. Actually, he was in. He was in the Obi Wan show. The bad one. Yeah. And he was kidnapping Princess Leia as a baby.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
Roger McCorny
It sucked.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Who's this?
Roger McCorny
This is. Yeah. From Flea, From Red Hot.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
Roger McCorny
He's one of the guys.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Man.
Roger McCorny
That's crazy stuff. We're learning a lot.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We're learning a lot.
Roger McCorny
Lesson. You okay? You doing well? Everything's good?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. It took yesterday off as a comp day from summer game fest. Played volleyball. We won last night. Come on, come on.
Roger McCorny
It's us, dude. Yes, dude.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We're different.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That was a. It felt really good after last week of losing 25 to 3.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. Elizabeth and Andre were telling me it was. It was demoralizing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. And we decided do you makes all the difference is preparation. Let me tell you, we're the Batman of teams. We came early. We. Our game was at 7:15. We all got there at 6:30 and we just practiced. We warmed up. That changed the whole time. We demolished yesterday. It was fantastic. Got a haircut. Was talking to my barber. My barber. He was like, yo, I've been checking out some of your content. And I was like, oh, awesome. He was like, yeah, come to me more often and get your haircut. He was like, just come more often. I was like, lower your prices if you want me to come every week, dude. It was hilarious. I was like, you know what? That's the best way of telling me that I need to show up more often.
Roger McCorny
That is awesome. So he wasn't offering you a discount. He wasn't saying, hey man, you're a front facing guy. Like, you know, I'll cut your hair for half.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
He did say he'll give me free haircuts if I can like make him famous on TikTok. Okay, well that's. That's a lot.
Roger McCorny
I'm not making famous on TikTok is a lot.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. I was like, we're different. I'm a different kind of content creator than you think I am. But like. Yeah, did that and then played. Just played a lot of. That's right. YouTube for review.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, dude, I'm excited about that.

Blessing Adioye Jr.

Blessing Adioye Jr.

Roger McCorny
Do an entire podcast with no pants on.
Barrett Courtney
No, he'd like that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, that would be a punishment.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, he's done that before.
Blessing Adioye Jr.

Barrett Courtney
Oh, bigger dozen.
Roger McCorny
Wow, that was powerful. I like that one.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Starting with our number one. A Silent Hill remake has been announced as in development during Konami's press start showcase. I'm pulling from Connor Makar at Eurogamer. A Silent Hill Remake has just been announced during Konami's press start showcase. The game will be created by Bloober Team in collaboration with Konami. As of writing, the only confirmation is that the game is quote in development. The brief reveal trailer was paired alongside the Silent Hill one intro theme, further confirming that this is the original game in the legendary horror series being remade. Roger. Yeah, right. That's what.
Roger McCorny
Okay, so that makes a lot of sense here because I was like, oh man, I'm excited for the conversation. Which Silent Hill is it going to be? But no, it's just Silent Hill. Okay. I thought they were saying that a Silent Hill.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wait, are you serious?
Barrett Courtney
I swear to God.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What the fuck?
Roger McCorny
I thought they were just like. Because I didn't watch. I didn't watch the trailer on purpose. Right. I didn't read any of this because I like going in blind for funny games Daily, but I totally thought that they were like, oh man, we don't know which one we're going to do.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yet another one of them Silent Hills where we're making it.
Greg Miller
That's awesome.
Roger McCorny
Okay. That's awesome. That's cool.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Roger, it's appropriate that we have you on the show today because you are, of course, the Silent Hill 2 fan here at kind of funny because you played Silent Hill 2 last year and Bloober team remade.
Roger McCorny
I did.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And you loved it.
Roger McCorny
I did love it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You did.
Roger McCorny
I did love it. One of my games of the year that year.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Well, how do you feel about Silent Hill one being remade?
Roger McCorny
Yeah, it makes sense. A little weird to me. I mean, I understand that two is the one that everyone's like, hey, this is. This is the best Silent Hill game. Of course you want to remake it first, but I don't know. I'm a sucker for going in order. But I'm excited to try it out. I feel like that's just kind of where I'm at and I'm interested to see more so where we take Blueberry in the next year or so. Right. Like, because I think this is a very critical moment for them. What's their name? Chronos.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is it Kronos?
Roger McCorny
Kronos, yeah. Chronos is coming out. And if that game is a hit and that game is awesome, then they're on another echelon. If it's not, if it's like around where the medium was or just a little bit better, then I think that we're going to really see the true nature of where. That sounds really sinister.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
The true nature of what's going on.
Roger McCorny
The true nature of Bloober team. No, the true capabilities of what Bloober Team is at right now. Because I want them to be at that echelon of, oh, no. Everything they're putting out is our bangers. They don't just have to do remakes. They can make original ip. And that also can be incredible. But I don't know. I'm not fully sold yet because Silent Hill 2's source material is so good. After finishing Silent Hill 2, I went back and I didn't actually play Silent Hill to the original, but I watched a lot of it and I was like, oh, okay. So a lot of it was there, right? A lot of. A lot of the. The base of what they were going for is in the original game. A lot of the creative choices, a lot of the visuals were there. So I'm interested to see where they go past this. But it makes. It's a. It's a slam dunk for them to go back and make the remake of Silent Hill one. But I also am interested. Like, I don't know, it seems like to me, like, the vibe of Blooper Bloober team was like, we did too. And like, maybe we're going to do different things, original things only. So, yeah, I was kind of like, surprised that they went back and are doing one. I mean, I'm sure the bag is there. I'm sure they're.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's the thing, you know, when the bag is there, you go after the bag. Especially for a series like Silent Hill that is revered in the gaming community, right? People love Silent Hill. You knocked it out of the park with Silent Hill 2, and people love that. And so I think it makes sense to then go after the next logical game in that franchise to make, which I assume this is the most logical game. Again, I'm not a Silent Hill person, but to your point of, you know, you prefer, like, the going in order. For me, this strikes me as very similar to what Metal Gear is doing with Metal Gear Solid Delta. How that game, metal gear solid 3, is of course the third metal gear solid game. It's the first one you talk about chronologically because it's a prequel. But that said, I think Metal Gear Solid three is a fan favorite. And in that sense, I understand why you go to that. Because there is such like, a. Like a passion, a love that. That the fans have for Metal Gear Solid three. And also it might be a bit easier to remake and modernize than a Metal Gear Solid one, unless they were to do twin stakes or something, which I don't think people want them to.
Roger McCorny
Do that, but I do.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I mean that would be cool also. I'll take anything honestly, but you know, when I look at Silent Hill versus a Metal Gear Solid, right. I think the things that these remakes have in common is that they're looking at PS2 classics first. And now like I think for Silent Hill you that looking it up, right? That game came out in 1999 for the PlayStation 1, which automatically I born. No way.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You were born in 1999.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No way.
Roger McCorny
That's where my life.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's cool.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. January.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wild January 1989.
Roger McCorny
An Elder Gen Z year, man.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's crazy. But yeah, like you're going. You're going back in a generation, right? You're. I think you're. So you're going to have bigger challenges as far as trying to modernize that and like make it look good and make it feel good and make it, you know, feel like a game that can come out in a. Let's say 2027.
Roger McCorny
This was. This is going to have to be a full remake. I mean chat. If you've played the original Silent Hill, let us know like how difficult and like what. What are they going to have to. I mean they have to change the whole control scheme. They have to change a lot of.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What are the challenges here?
Roger McCorny
Yeah, exactly. The base level of. Because like you see Silent Hill 2, like, oh, you. You're pretty much there. Like I mean, of course not pretty much there, but you know, you see that. You could see how someone could take that and make that into a modern video game.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Same thing as like Resident Evil 4, for example. Of like, oh, you see that translation. And I think the fun thing for me here is like, I think this, this is going the same way that Metal Gear is probably going to go if Metal Gear Solid Delta comes out and is successful.
Roger McCorny
You go to two and then one.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No, you go one. I think you go one and then two. Yeah. I think Virtuous dude hops to one.
Roger McCorny
Don't get me. I just finished Metal Gear Solid one.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
And I cannot. I cannot explain to you how excited I am for a remake of that game, but also how frightening that is. Right? Because I see Metal Gear Solid one and how. And how amazing and forward thinking it is, but also how insane it would be to adapt that into a modern video game landscape without Kojima. Like there's so much. Kojima is so key without Kojima. It is so. Because for Metal Gear Solid three, From what I have seen, right, it is so faithful that some people were like, oh, it might be too faithful. Right? You might have. Like, you might have actually went in and made sure that every single shot, every single moment was exactly the way that we remember it. And that's not necessarily what we want sometimes for remakes, we want it to feel a little bit more modernized and a little bit more fresh. With Metal Gear Solid one, you can't do it exactly the way it was before. And if you did, it would be bad. It would not be maybe not bad, but it wouldn't be as good as it could be. And I'm interested to see where Silent Hill goes with this. And I'm excited to see because, yeah, we're going to do the Metal Gear Solid one remake.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
But I don't know, maybe they don't even do that. Like, I know we're jumping around a little bit, but like.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But like, I. I think it's fun. Conversation. Conversation. I think they got to do.
Roger McCorny
They do it immediately, right? They say three and they're like, okay, I guess we're starting developing development on one remake. Or do they. Or do they go to four? Or do they, like, jump around a little bit where like, they just keep on stretching it out? They're like, well, we'll do one more.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Correct order to remake Metal Gear solid games is 3, 1, 2, 4. So scary in the world because, like, honestly, the best way to remake them would be 1, 2, 3, 4. But in the world where you're starting off with 3, you go 3, 1, 2, 4. And then like a Peace Walker side game somewhere in there. Yeah, that's the only. That's the way to do it. And I think it goes very similar to Silent Hill where if Metal Gear Solid Delta is successful, right. Like, this is very much hinging on it being faithful and people actually really loving it and it doing numbers by next. By early next year, I'll say. I'll say by. By June of next year, we're saying.
Roger McCorny
We'Re doing the Metal Gear Solid.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We're saying Metal Gear Solid one is in development of rituals. No, no, I'm down for the pizza bet.
Barrett Courtney
I don't feel.
Roger McCorny
I don't really care. You know what I mean? Like, I mean, you might be right. Like, I don't feel. I don't feel like other ways. Not. Not so. But someone. People in the chat bringing up Twin Snakes and we're jumping around a little bit, but like, what is the deal with Twin Snakes? I know that is a remake of Metal Gear Solid one. Is that like actually good? Like, is that a good remake? So people, like, if they were to make a remake of Metal Gear Solid one now, are they looking at twin stakes to be.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I don't think they're looking at Twin Snakes.
Roger McCorny
They're just fully ignoring that one.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I. Yes. And here's the thing, right. I'm somebody who. I'm not. I didn't play Twin Sticks. It was a GameCube exclusive. But my understanding of it, right, Is like, it's Metal Gear Solid one remade to kind of be aligned with how metal gear solid 2 metal gear solid 3 played. But with that, I believe they added a first person perspective to it that you can go into and actually walk around and like that kind of breaks the game a bit. And I think that's people's like. I think complaint with it.
Barrett Courtney
There's like one big battle with Vulcan. Is it Vulcan that it ruins the. Like, it makes it a lot, a lot easier. But I think for the most part it was a massive improvement and like a giant step up. And it's like graphically. Yeah. If you want to play one, you.
Roger McCorny
Would play Twin Snakes as more actiony cutscenes. That's interesting.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Vulgan is from three. Yeah.
Barrett Courtney
And then I'm mixing up names, but.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think I know who you're talking about.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I don't know why.
Barrett Courtney
God, what's his name? I know the guy that couldn't feel cold.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Now. I don't know what you're talking about.
Barrett Courtney
No, there was a guy that like.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Was it Ocelot?
Roger McCorny
Oh, oh, the. The big Vulcan Raven. There it is. The big.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, yeah.
Barrett Courtney
The big giant gun.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It was cool.
Barrett Courtney
What did I say?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, you're right. You said. You said Vulcan. Like you said just Vulcan, which made me think you were talking about Vulcan, which is the Metal Gear Solid three thundery guy.
Barrett Courtney
I can't wait for Roger to play Delta.
Roger McCorny
I'm excited. Yeah. I mean, I'm living my best life right now. I mean, I'm going to play it on stre. I mean, maybe. Yeah. I mean, I'm playing. I'm smoking the entire Kojima joint blunt the entire way through. I mean, I'm going from Metal Gear Solid one, I'm going to death stranding Death stranding to Metal Gear Solid two. And I'm going to play three. The Delta. So I'm very excited.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh yeah. Going back to Silent Hill because we jumped to Metal Gear. But it's a Konami.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. We're all connected.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Are you Excited about this? Like, is this something like you talk about the Bloober team of it all? I think talking about that, right? Like, I have pretty high hopes for Kronos the New Dawn. Like, I look at that and I see 8 out of 10. You know what I mean? Like, and I think I see a promising direction for Bloober team. If you couple that with these Silent Hill remakes and like, with these licensed things, I think you are talking about a moment that is, I don't want to say make or break, but I guess a moment that is pivotal for them. A moment that could propel them into being. Oh, shit, it's a blooper team game. Now we got to pay attention to them. So I think that's big for them. For you, as somebody who's now a bit Silent Hill pill, like, is this what you want? Do you want to keep seeing them remake Silent Hill?
Roger McCorny
No, I'm actually, I'm not mad at it. Right. I'll never be mad at it. I like, I like when the studio specifically is able to get. Get their hands on the property and do some weird stuff with it. But I'm more excited about Silent Hill. F. Right. I don't know if this is on. That's on the news right here. But I know that they did a new.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Another trailer.
Roger McCorny
Another trailer. We saw some more stuff at the PlayStation. State of play. I am fucking jazzed for that game. It looks cool. It looks awesome. It looks incredible. It looks like the same level of Silent Hill 2. It is. It is. In Japan. The themes, the themes are not of Dead Wife. This seems like they're of dead friends. So it's, it's, it's really interesting. I love the way that they're positioning it. I also like that it's all fully in Japanese. There's no English voice acting, at least for the trailers that they've shown. I'm really jazzed about that game. So I think. I don't know if in the pantheon of things, I just wish that Bloober. I hope that Kronos is really good and I wish that we could have gotten that, like, wait, wait and see approach a little bit of like, oh, Cronus is huge, right? Maybe this game is awesome. Maybe it's like an 8 out of 10. Maybe it's a 9 out of 10, right? Yeah. And then they're like, okay, Bloober, you got the stuff for an original IP and you know, Silent Hill. Here's a new Silent Hill game. Brand new Silent Hill. Like that that's what I want for them. I don't want them to be stuck. Not stuck, quote unquote, but like going backwards and having to kind of be faithful to the source material. I want them to. To bloom and become the studio that we can really trust for the future of a lot franchises. I think that'd be cool.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I want to bring in some super chats for you. Nitro39 says on February 25, a pizza bet was made between Bless and Andy on Blooper's next game with Konami. Andy was correct in saying thank you, SW Kevin for the graphic and the music. Andy was correct in saying Silent Hill 1. Bless owes Andy a pizza. All right, well, Andy, whenever Andy's listening or watching, whenever you want your pizza, whatever pizza you.
Roger McCorny
I think you also owe me a pizza because Barrett old. That's the whole thing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, I'm done.
Roger McCorny
I'm.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
For the people who I owe pizzas. Let me know and I'll get you a piece.
Barrett Courtney
I don't even like, stop trading bets. Well, I mean, would you. You want me to take it? Make it a chicken wing bet.
Roger McCorny
Can it be a New York pizza? Can you just venmo me? I'm gonna be in New York.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
Oh, that's like, fuck yeah, dude. Oh, yeah. Oh, shit.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. Because New York pizzas are cheap too. That's like $5.
Roger McCorny
Nah, that's not true.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What do you mean?
Roger McCorny
They're fucking expensive over there now.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What happened to a dollar slice?
Roger McCorny
Oh, I'm not getting a slice. I'm doing a whole pie. You think, you think. You think it's.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You said a New York pizza. When you say New York pizza. I think a New York slice.
Roger McCorny
You want to get out of this and be like, I'm going to buy you one slice.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
All right, whatever you want. I got you.
Roger McCorny
Okay. I appreciate you. I appreciate it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
All right. Saro, Kobe aren't writes in and says with the remake coming out, do you think Konami is still invested in making follow up to the master collection or is it remakes from here on out? I believe you're talking about why not both? Yeah, why not both? Right? Like money middle. I. Here's the thing. Because even though we talked about all the correct order to remake Metal Gear Solid is this. I don't think we ever get around to remaking metal gear solid 4, at least in the near future. I would love that. I think that'd be cool. But I think the deeper you get into the Metal Gear, well, the more it kind of feels appropriate. To have Kojima as part of it, like mellowing your Solid four, I think is a tough one to remake without Kojima.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's so fanfare. It's. It's the culmination of everything. Right. Like, it's also just very weird and very like a very interesting game. I. I feel like that is a far flung future before we get there.
Roger McCorny
Man. I'm so. I get really interested in what Konami's future is when it comes to all these remakes and stuff. Like I. Yeah, you're so right. Because they're going to have to. If they want to broach these. These situations, they're going to have to start making some swings. They're going to start doing some interesting actual creativity when it comes to remaking these games.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And I mean, Metal Gear Solid one even. Yeah.
Roger McCorny
Especially if they do one. Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You get to Psycho Mantis and it's like you're going to take some creative liberties. I would love to see that. You know what I mean? You have Psycho Mantis. It's like, oh, I've been. See, I see you're playing Darwin's Paradox.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I see. I see you're playing pez.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You're playing Survival Kids. Holy shit. Psycho Mantis. That's crazy.
Roger McCorny
That's crazy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But I also think that a. A remaster of metal gear solid 4 also gets the job done.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
At that point, it's like cool. You're not touching anything, really. Like you're making the game look better and you're making it look good enough for modern platforms. And also you're making it playable. The game's not. The game's old, but I don't want.
Roger McCorny
To get ahead of myself. But like I. Maybe it's some wrestling pill. Right now. I just feel like anything can happen. I think Kojima will be involved in a Konami game eventually, I think. I mean, the people that wronged him are pretty much gone from that company from what we have heard and seen. Right. It seems like there's been a lot of turnover at that company. I can see a world where Konami just looks at Kojima and just says, we'll just give you the rights or we'll give you some type of producer credit and you can come in here and do whatever you want with this thing. Because I think Kojima wants it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Do you think?
Roger McCorny
Because my thing is I think Kojima wants it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think Kojima would be down if he had more time. I think Kojima is so committed to the projects that he has. Yeah. Also Kojima's very expensive at this point because PlayStation and Xbox are throwing him the bag that, like, I just don't think he has one. I don't think he has the bandwidth. But then also I think Konami probably looks at Kojima like, oh, we just can't afford him anymore.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I think. I do think Kojima wants it. I just. It's just the level of what he would want. I think he would want to own that franchise. Those franchises which I don't think will ever happen.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Metal Gear.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, he would want to own those franchises.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
So I. If that's the case, then I don't think so, but I can. I could see a world where there is some type of collaboration. If they're going to one or they're going to four or whatever. Or two.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
And where they look at him and say, hey, we need your name on this. We want you as a producer credit. What do we have to do here?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I think it would very much be a thing of Kojima shakes hands with them to like, have him be a part of a showcase where they're revealing it and being like, I consulted on this.
Roger McCorny
Yes.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And like, he really. He showed up for one day and was like, all right, that looks good and leaves. But I don't like, that's their way.
Roger McCorny
Of getting around though. You know him, like, you know, he's not. He's not going to show up on his. His baby and be like, okay, you guys can do what the fuck you want.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But I don't think he had, like, I don't think he has the time or bandwidth. That man is working on death. Well, right now he's releasing Destroying two. That man is releasing od. That man has fizzen. That man is working on Death Training to the. Or Death Training 1, the movie, which is going to lead into Death Training to the movie. You know, I mean, like, I don't think he has the bandwidth to show up at Konami for more than however long to be like, okay, I'm going to help you guys.
Roger McCorny
But we always see, again, like, wrestling, but we. We always see the interview with him. Every single Metal Gear. I don't know if you've ever seen this. Every single Metal Gear that he's ever launched, he does an interview and including Death Training now, where he says, my body was broken and I will never direct another Metal Gear. And he said that for Death Stranding, I will never direct another Death Stranding because my body's broken. That's pretty much what he said. He's like I got sick. I'm, I'm going through it. It's working too hard.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
And then, and then he comes back and he comes back and he always does it. So he always finds a way. And I, I, I don't know. I believe it in my heart that we will see Kojima and Konami together once again.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wow.
Roger McCorny
Hugging and kissing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wow.
Roger McCorny
Beautiful.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Looking at more of the super chats that are coming in here, a lot of people are giving me ideas for how to get back at Greg because Mellow fellow says Greg has to buy tickets to Superman's competition. I don't know. That means Superman's competition.
Roger McCorny
What?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Superman, Scott, Mellow Fellow. Let me know what you mean by that. Biggs5 writes in and says take his stars. No one wins. Oh, I like it. But that doesn't, like, that's for one season. The next season that would be great.
Barrett Courtney
That if just when the season starts he's got negative one stars. Just that's something. I think you should do it. And I think that this should be like, hey, this is it. You've now crossed the threshold. If you miss any more, you're going to get negative stars.
Roger McCorny
Negative stars.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Here's my thing is I, I know a lot of people don't believe this, but I believe in the sanctity of game showdown. I, I believe in like, then why.
Barrett Courtney
Did you, did you take it away from Tim? He was gonna win.
Roger McCorny
Nah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No, because I was like Greg won the, the briefcase. That was his right. It's still fair. Like Tim had a chance to win the briefcase.
Roger McCorny
Colin the chat says it's like a handicap in golf. I don't know what golf is or like what, what a handicap is. I don't know what, like, I don't know what you do in there. Like, what the scoring system works. But like seems like there's precedent for. Yeah, that's huge.
Barrett Courtney
I mean that's, that's super huge.
Roger McCorny
That's super huge.
Barrett Courtney
I like Roger have no idea how handy works. I've heard people say it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
A lot of people say, yeah, Fantastic Four is what they mean. I think for Greg has to buy tickets Superman's competition. So he has to buy tickets to Fantastic Four.
Roger McCorny
Oh, okay.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Those come out the same time.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. Like a. Two weeks apart. Two weeks apart.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh man. We're eating so far. And then one more. Oh man. We got a lot of super chats coming in. Let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see. Delco Scooch says blessing Star Vaders Now, I don't know what that means.
Roger McCorny
Starvators.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is that. Is that. Does that relate to the Greg thing?
Roger McCorny
Is it just a video game?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, wait, no. I typed in Starvators. Oh, it's a deck building, grid based tactics game.
Roger McCorny
God damn it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. They came out April 30th this year. Pilot a powerful mech to fight off the alien invasion in this ultimate fusion of deck building and grid based tactics. Discover game breaking combos, rewind time to alter your fate and protect the future of humanity in this endlessly replayable roguelike.
Roger McCorny
All right, I'm going to need a code for that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You had me, then you lost me. And then you had me again. Because I like deck building, but I'm not a big fan of tactics.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Even though grid based does make. Does make it better. Believe it or not. But even still. Like you say grid based tactics and that's not my shit. But then you say Roguelite and you have me again.
Roger McCorny
Well, you had me when you said you can rewind time. I like these ones where you can just go back to the beginning and say you fucked up. That was just Tifa. That's crazy. They just had tifa.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. Kevin showing a trailer right now. This is not my jam. Well, this is not a me game. Might be a Roger game. Yeah, I like the art style.
Roger McCorny
I don't know what a Roger game is anymore. I'm having a crisis. I don't know who I am.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I can tell you what a Roger game is.
Roger McCorny
Garbage.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You would recommend it to the weirdos in your life.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Let me tell you about Roger Game banger Roger. I'm gonna have you tell me about date everything two stories from now because.
Roger McCorny

The thing that drives me every day as a dad is Dariana. We call him Dayday for short. Every day he's hungry for something, whether it's attention, affection, knowledge. And there's this huge responsibility in making sure that when he's no longer under my wing that he's a good person. I want him to be able to sit back one day and go, we worked together. Services and the Ad Council and we're back. Trevor super chats in and says it's a good day because Mel Brooks announced Spaceballs too.
Barrett Courtney
No, we.
Roger McCorny
We've already announced.
Barrett Courtney
Mel Brooks is still talking about this.
Roger McCorny
No, no, they announced before. Now they released the teaser. But like, I don't care. I don't care. I love Spaceballs so much and it's like we missed the boat. We missed the boat. You should have done it years and years ago.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Honestly.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I'm done. I'm done. Sorry, Mel Brooks.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Are you done with Metal Gear Solid Online?
Roger McCorny
Whoa.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Story number two Metal Gear Solid Delta multiplayer mode has been revealed and it's not Metal Gear Online. This is Andy Robinson at Video Games Chronicle Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is getting an original online multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt, revealed during a Konami Digital showcase on Thursday. Fox Hunt is directed by Yu Sahara, a veteran series designer who has worked on Metal Gear Solid four, Peace Walker, Ground Zeros, and the Phantom Pain Tick. Fox Hunt is described as a completely original online multiplayer mode unrelated to Metal Gear Online, which was released alongside PS the PS2 subsistence version of the original game. Quote we really appreciate all the longtime fans of Metal Gear Online who have always wanted to see it make a comeback, but the landscape of multiplayer games has changed a lot since mgo, said Sahara. It took a lot of careful consideration to think about what the new online mode should look like based on the iconic stealth and survival elements of the Metal Gear series. We're taking camouflage and hide and seek to the next level, he added. We challenged ourselves to make something unique that's more than just another shout out. We've used that back and forth tension of staying hidden or searching out the enemy to create an online experience unique to Metal Gear. End quote Zahara said more news on Fox Hunt would Be shared in the future.
Roger McCorny
That's fun. So it's like a kind of like a hide and seek type deal.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, that's cute. Sounds cool. That sounds like. I never played these modes, but like the Assassin's Creed multiplayer, like. Yeah, I feel like had something like this, a little bit of that.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And I never played Spies vs Mercs, but I don't know.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, that's different. That's like a first person versus a third person spy. Right. So you're a shooter and then you're. That.
Barrett Courtney
This is cool.
Roger McCorny
It's honestly kind of like a, like a little bit of a peek into like a bygone era. Right. Where you would have these first, these single player video games that had these little quaint multiplayer modes that a few people would play and you would get into, but it wouldn't really pop off like that. But it was always nice to have like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
So it's kind of interesting that they're doing this. I expected when they had that little teaser that it was going to be some type of like separate thing. Like it was going to be like a free to play. We're going, you know, like something that you can download and try out right now or something like that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But it seems like it's not that. I'm glad they're not doing like the Capcom Resident Evil like reverse type with this.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, yeah. But I also, I don't know, this seems like I'm excited to see the depth of it and actually how much you can go into this. Or is it just like you're just doing hide and seek or whatever?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Honestly, if it, if it is just like a fun little hide and seek multiplayer mode, I'm so down. I miss those. Like, I know.
Barrett Courtney
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Like you mentioned, right. Like there's been a shift and it feels like if you're gonna put in work time and effort into a multiplayer mode, like you want to spin it off into its own thing. You want to be able to support it. You want to be able to like.
Roger McCorny
Have a life cycle. Have like battle pass.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's like, oh no. I'm like, like if you frame it as like, no, here's a cute little mode that you can play with your friends that's like a fun thing that we thought of that we thought was really good and we want to include in the package. Fuck yeah. Like, let's do that. I miss those.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I'm happy with that. I, I, you know, part of me does want it to be like just its Own thing. Right. Just. Just so I can, I can boot it up and like play it by, by itself or maybe get a few of my friends to play it, you know, outside of buying Metal Gear Solid Delta. But either way I do, I do kind of miss that, that era.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Did you play Death Loop?
Roger McCorny
No, I didn't because that, I played a little bit of it that had.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Like a multiplayer thing where you would invade people's worlds. Okay. And like I believe you could hide and do some like.
Roger McCorny
That's cool.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Some like some type that sounded similar to this. And I, I. With that I feel like. Not that we don't do that enough because I know a lot of games do that kind of stuff, but I don't play those. Yeah. Like invading and then also hiding is like an NPC or like having a looming sense of like you're looking for where the other player is at and like you're trying to be like, all right, cool. Are they that guy over there? Because they're moving kind of weird. Oh, no. Okay. I guess in this mode, right? In fox. I know. Be like, all right, that tree looks weird.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. It's like prop hunts. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Like prop hunt.
Roger McCorny
Right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Like you're just laying on a surface and just hiding. And after you're having to figure out like, okay, what looks off in this map. I. With that damn.
Roger McCorny
Stealth is back, baby. 2026, the year. Stealth. I feel it. I know this came out this year, but I feel like it's going to like we're still gonna be playing. Yeah, we're gonna still be thinking about stealth and I feel like stealth is back.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Now we're back.
Roger McCorny
Because we were so. We were so out of stealth and now we're back.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Story number three. Date Everything has a review roundup for you on Metacritic is sitting at a 75. On open critic is sitting at 78. Before I get into the reviews, I want to read the Steam description of Date Everything. If you're unfamiliar, Date Everything is a sandbox dating simulator set in the comfort of your own home, featuring 100 fully voice acted dateable characters. Let the romance flow between your bed smoke. Wait, hold on. Let me say that again. Let the romance flow between your bed smoke alarm and overwhelming sense of existential dread. Are you ready to date everything? Going into the reviews, Jess Elizabeth Reed at Nintendo Life gave it a 6 out of 10 and says date Everything provides an ideal dating simulator recipe. Charming characters, a light hearted tone, and an incredibly disturbing premise. You can even date a banana, unfortunately. Kevin, did you put banana in There.
Barrett Courtney
We got him. We got him. He thought he couldn't get. God.
Roger McCorny
I was gonna say.
Barrett Courtney
Everyone throw a banana at him.
Roger McCorny
He got it. You know, the funny thing is that really good. I was like, man, that's a really up. That's like. That's an incorrect way to say that. Because you date food. You know what I mean? Like, you click on the banana. There's a banana in this game, I believe. And then you just date the food. Like the generic food person. So I was like, oh, that's kind of a mistake they put in there. And I was like, okay.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, man. I never played the game.
Roger McCorny
You got it. You got it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Continuing on with the review.
Barrett Courtney
Unfortunately, couldn't get got.
Roger McCorny
He said he couldn't get.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's been a while since I got got. That was a really good guess. I genuinely got got that.
Roger McCorny
I like that one.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Unfortunately, performance issues at launch also provided a significant obstacle, and I had a hard time getting over some of the narrative ups and downs. There's certainly a lot to sink your teeth into with Data Everything, which took me a little over 40 hours to complete, but I was left wondering. I can still hear Kevin cackling in his fucking room. But I was left wondering if all the time spent was really worth it for the level of depth the game provides. JQ at Dualshockers gave it an 8 out of 10 and says it's sincere, hilarious and honest and is probably one of the most enjoyable indie games I've ever played as a debut. 8 out of 10 for the most enjoyable as a debut game. Sassy Chap Games knocked it out of the park with the Sandbox dating sim. If you appreciate the talent behind voice acting, we are dating Sims and most of all, supporting indie studios, then Date Everything is a perfect game for you. And then finally, Oscar Taylor Kent at GamesRadar gave it three out of five stars and says it's always a delight to see how this household object or concept is brought to life. Roger, Hi. You have booted up Date Everything.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I have either seven hours or four and a half hours. Because my Steam says four and a half hours, but the game saves of seven hours, so I don't know who to believe.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Did you play. Did you play it offline by any chance? Because when you're playing offline, Steam doesn't count those hours.
Roger McCorny
Maybe. I don't know. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. I'm always connected, always on the Internet. So, yeah, I have about, let's say, seven hours on the game and I really, really really like this game a lot. It came out of nowhere for me because I was not a hater, but I just didn't believe the premise. I was like dating everything. Having over 100 characters like this seems like it is going to be an unobtainable goal or it's going to be really surface level. Maybe it's a lot of talking to one thing and it's like, oh, do you want to bang? Do you not want to bang? And then that's kind of it, right? But no, it is a lot more. It is a lot deeper than I thought it was. And it is just so clever and fun to constantly walk around this house and see a smoke alarm and click on it and then have the surprise of like, oh, wow, that's crazy. The way that you adapted a smoke alarm into a character that has depth, that has these really stupid and silly jokes about either. Either smoke alarms or fires and all this stuff built into the dialogue. But it doesn't become corny. It actually, like has depth to it. For instance, my first ever, the first person. I also realized that I just have this food. I just had this thing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah, you never ate. You never ate your.
Roger McCorny
I never had it on here the entire way. I'm gonna throw them on the ground. It's on the ground.
Barrett Courtney
Don't do that.
Roger McCorny
The first place. The first person object that I dated was my bed. And this bed is hot.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You did. Okay, this.
Roger McCorny
This bed is curvy and this is hot. It is. It's a sexy ass bed.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Everybo screenshots of the bed.
Roger McCorny
I mean, I'm sure we can look it up. We look up date everything bad. You'll see it. Betty. Betty. I think his name. But this bed is.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
This bed is hot. Yeah, right.
Roger McCorny
And you start talking this bed, and it's like, of course they do start doing the jokes of like, oh, man, I sleep with you every night. Right. But like, you know, we don't have that connection. Right. Like I said, I've seen you with other. I've been with a lot of people. Like, I've slept with a lot of people. Because, you know, the whole story behind this bed is that he found it on the street. So, like, this bed has had a history before. This is the bed, by the way. This is Betty. Oh, holy shit. It's incredible.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I have a friend that looks like Betty.
Roger McCorny
So you start talking, you start talking to this bed. It's like, it's like very surface level jokey stuff about, you know, sleeping with everybody and sleeping with multiple people. And sleeping with you the entire time. But then it starts getting into, like, this existential thing of, like, this character has a lot of. It can't sleep. It can't sleep at night because it has never really been with somebody that wasn't just, like, a transactional experience. So you start talking to her, and then you finally take her out on a date. Like, that was the. The end of our romance where we fell in love was. I was able to take her on a date, and it was, like, her first date that she ever been on, and it was like, wow. Like, this is. This is way deeper than I thought it was. And you have that for every single thing in the house. And the cool thing about it is that it's not just you're finding on these characters and you're trying to smash, like, it is like, these things of, like, okay, come back at a certain time. So then you have to kind of manage, like, okay, well, at this time, I have a date with this character, so I need to make sure to. If I really want to talk to them, I go up to them. And it also has this level of, like, you can be friends with them, you can be. You can fall in love with them, or you can become enemies with them. So it's a little bit. It's a little. A little bit of fun there. So you can. If there's a few characters that. I'm just like, I'm gonna be your enemy. I just don't like you. I'm gonna. You can.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What are some of the objects that you're not with?
Roger McCorny
I don't. With the pirates. There's a pirate who I believe. Oh, I mean, I. With her. That's the bath right there. That's the bath right there. I don't. I don't. With the pirate. I think it's a pirate. There's, like, a pirate ship. Like, one of those. The glass bottles that have a pirate ship inside of it. I don't. With him. He's too loud and annoying. So I'm like, you. I'm out of here. But the writing is just super on point. Like, it is hilarious. I'm laughing out loud. I don't want to spoil anything too much, but I did find the hangers. Like, I just found hangers in a closet, and it's like, five dudes, and they're like a hive mind. And they're just like. They just love extreme sports. So their idea is that they're hanging everywhere, and they're like, you want to go? Do you want to Go and do something crazy with us. And it is. It is super funny, it is very sexy in moments. It is silly, and it is the right amount of depth that I want. The only issue that I have with it right now that I think is, like, preventing me from really falling in love with it is the way that they set up, like, your. Your character, where you can. If you date a character and you fully, like, fall in love with them or hate them or whatever, you gain these little bonus attributes, like, I don't know, like smarts or wit. But it doesn't. It only happens when you fully max out, like, the character conversations. Like when I fell in love with Betty, then I got a few points, but that was it. So there's a lot of times where I'm talking to people and it is just locking me out of a lot of cool dialogue options that I would really have to grind to get those dialogue options. And I feel like a lot of them are just very basic. So I wish that those kind of added up as I just talked to people normally and I just chose certain things. But other than that, this is a. An outstanding game. It is. It is so. It is so well written, it is hilarious, it is smart, it is sexy, and it is super silly. So, yeah, I would give this recommendation, and right now I would say that this is probably an 8 out of 10. Okay. I'm really enjoying it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I want to pick it up. It's been sitting in my Steam library for. Since we've had the code.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And, like, I've not been able to get around to it just because there's been other games that I've been playing. But I really wanted to check it out because I just fuck with the vibe and I fuck with the. The concept. Right. Like, every few years there comes out a dating sim where I'm like, oh, no, I gotta see. I gotta see what's up with this. For me, the last one was probably a boyfriend dungeon where, like, that's the one where you're dating your swords and, like, you're using different swords and like these, These. These dungeons.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And there's something about, like, the quirky energy. Dating sims that work for me. Right. Like a. Oh, a very traditional dating sim is harder for me. But, like. And I think part of it is like, the earnest versus the quirky and how quirky. Like a lot of these indie dating.
Roger McCorny
Sims can get kind of like. Like wink and nudge. Like, it's almost like not taking themselves.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Almost written like a comedy.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Kind of thing. Right. But still, like, I still want earnestness in it, right? Like, I, I think there is something inherently fun about going in and just building a relationship with characters and all this stuff.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, no, it's really good. And, and also I see people in.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Chat that are referring to it as a gunner game or like making fun of guys. Here's the thing, this is what I'll say. Grow the up.
Roger McCorny
Grow up.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
There are different kinds of video games that work for people. And also, like, I think there's a lot of genuine good that you can get out of this game as far as like.
Roger McCorny
And also, and also the beautiful thing about this really quick, I just want to say something about one of the settings that they have in the game is that when I was talking to Betty and was about to get steamy, they like stopped me and they were like, hey, we don't have to get sexual here. Like, if you don't want this, like, we can just, we could just turn on a setting and we can just kind of keep it romantic. And I thought that was really cool because some people are not looking for that. Some people don't want to get too sexual when it comes to something like this. They just want romance. And you definitely have that here. So what did you choose?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Come on.
Roger McCorny
I said you get the fuck out of my face here. Yeah, I'm going deep. I'm going deep with.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Going deep.
Roger McCorny
We're going deep with Betty.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We got another review roundup for you for store number four. The Alters reviews are in right now. It is sitting on Metacritic at an 86 and on OpenCritic at an 85. The Steam description reads like this. Explore an emotional sci fi game with Excuse me. With a unique blend of survival, adventure and base building elements. Help Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of an ill fated space expedition, create alternative versions of himself to escape a hostile planet and tackle personal turmoils with this unconventional crew. Dan Stapleton at IGN gave it an 8 out of 10 and says the Altars is a highly atmospheric sci fi character study mixed with simple but effective resource and base management that cleverly builds existential and interpersonal pressure throughout its story. Sam Holahan at TheGamerGate 5 out of 5 stars and says many games feel like they mirror film and television in the stories they tell in the cine cinematography they present. But the Alters feels like a best selling sci fi novel. The intricacies, branching storylines, decisions that actually matter, and world building that makes you feel at home on a planet millions of light years away is a terrific Accomplishment. This is the story of a singular man. I cannot recommend enough. And who knows, perhaps along the way you might even learn something about yourself. And then finally Nick Rodriguez at Gamerank gave it a 10 out of 10 and says the Alters is a cerebral, thought provoking and beefy story driven survival game and undoubtedly 11 bit studios magnum opus. Whoa, Roger, let me tell you, I really want to pick this game up. There's another one I've not gotten around to and I would. I wasn't put onto it until like this morning when the reviews came out, but even like a few days ago where like I'm talking to friends that are in media and they're like, oh, you check out this game, the Altars. I'm like, no, not yet. And they're like, yo, this game is kind of legit.
Roger McCorny
And so yeah, I had no idea what this game even was for some reason. I don't know. Like I, I thought it was just like, I thought it was like Fallout Shelter. I don't have no idea why. I guess maybe because some of the, the base building stuff and the way that they show some of the cameras with the different rooms and everything. Yeah, this kind of took me by surprise. I'm very excited to try this out. It's on game pass, apparently. So exciting. Hell yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Story number five. Mind's Eye invokes memories of Cyberpunk 2077 as PlayStation begins to issue refunds. This is Josh Colson at the Gamer. Unfortunately, as expected, Mind's Eye is off to a pretty rough start. A lack of reviews ahead of its launch coupled with higher ups leaving the studio with days to go until release had people worried Mind's Eye might have issues. Now it's finally here and it has taken a single day for some of its players to start asking for refunds. While most players issued, most players issued refunds haven't shared the platform on which they've been playing Mind's Eye. It's the ones who are claiming they're getting their money back on PlayStation and sharing the evidence to prove it that will be the most concerning for the game's devs. PlayStation has a very strict refund policy that's usually pretty difficult to take advantage of. The only big game in recent memory that has had PlayStation offering refunds to anyone who requests them is Cyberpunk 2077. Even though PlayStation's support page makes it clear that you are not eligible for a refund if you've downloaded and played a game. Anyone who requested a refund for Cyberpunk during its rocky launch period was issued one. What's worrying for Mind's Eye is that shortly after PlayStation issued cyberpunk refunds, it removed the CDPR game from its store for six months, an unprecedented move that against all odds, Cyberpunk has managed to back back, bounce back from. Mind's Eye hasn't been delisted yet, but evidence that refunds are being issued is starting to appear. Master of Moogles 1995 shared evidence of their refund on the Mind's Eye subreddit. The player highlights the promises of 60fps and mind's eye being pro enhanced and not being fulfilled. PlayStation writes back that quote, the situation is under investigation. But rather than leaving it there, the representative goes ahead with the refund, confirming it's Mind's Eye, it's Mind's Eye that the player wants to return. Unfortunately for Mind's Eye, this isn't an isolated incident. A second player who goes by Wolfgang Mishima, has shared evidence of a PlayStation refund for the game. In their example, the PlayStation employee notes that it doesn't usually issue refunds for a game once it has been downloaded, but in this instance, due to the troubleshooting suggestions falling flat, the game will be great or the refund will be granted. Oh boy, here we go.
Roger McCorny
Oh boy. Dude. Oh boy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I, man, I missed all I. Because I was out yesterday and because, because Mind's Eye didn't have copies out. I've missed the whole ker. Fluffle at least. Like yeah, I, I've missed the, the, like the gameplay of it because I've been here for the whole. Pre, pre launch. I've been here for the. Yo, you've been on the streets. Yeah. For months, if not maybe years at this point. I've been like, yo, what's up with mine? Mind's Eye, what's up with Everywhere? Is Mind's Eye still playable within Everywhere? Have they broken up? Like, is this game. Where are the reviews? I've been asking all these questions, but I miss what copies.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Have you been keeping up with.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I have at least watching a little bit of the stream that Mike and Nick did and they, they refunded the game. Is that bad?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, they refunded the.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, Nick refunded the game. I've never seen him do that before. I think it was time to refund is the new metric that we're going towards. And yeah, I forget. I forget why he did. I think it was just boring. It didn't look great. It didn't look great. It was just a boring experience for them. I mean they were playing on a 40, 50, 90 or something like that. They're playing on extreme hardware. Right. So I don't think necessarily the game was. The performance issues were the problem there, but the game just wasn't great from, from their side of things. But either way, I, yeah, I've been seeing this stuff and I was just. I, I immediately knew that this was not going to go well when I saw IO interact. Did you see this? IO Interactive is their showcase. Did you watch it?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I didn't watch it, no. I've heard things about it so bad.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I felt I, I was, I was like, man, it did not inspire any confidence whatsoever. It felt like the Konami one that they did in E3 back in the day, like 2000 or whatever. Like, like the audio sounded like it was coming from a phone the entire time and it was inside of some type of like hotel ballroom. And they brought out Matt Mickelson at the ending and he didn't know where he was or why he was there. Right. It was just, it was just atrocious. And yeah, it included a bunch of Hitman stuff and of course Mind's Eye. And I was like, this does not inspire any IO Interactive.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Get roped into this.
Roger McCorny
And that's the thing that I just feel like I'm more sad about the IO Interactive side of it where I'm like, you guys were doing so good. You guys were like the pinnacle of like you can go off and do your own thing, like have a franchise that works and self publish and do this whole job. And now you're trying to expand and your first, your first thing to expand to was Mind's Eye. And it's like, man, you guys, this is, this sucks. And anybody that is buying this game that is having these performance issues should be able to return it. So I'm happy that that is happening, but it is just really disappointing and sad for IO Interactive right now. Who is having a banger. Few years with hitman and now 007 and now this. Why did you do this?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I will say this is a very sad story. Very sucky like for everybody involved. What I will say is that this takes me back. You know what I mean? Like, because like in the last however many years, usually these video game stories are like odds AI or NFTs or crypto or some. This is a good old fashioned.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, this is a good old fashioned game. Don't work.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It don't work and it didn't work. Going to work like how long did we get?
Roger McCorny
Hell yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Big game. That was hot. That was like super duper marketed and like it's from people who formerly came from Rockstar and all that had all this buildup and just straight up tripped and fell there. No NFTs as far as I understand. Maybe there are, correct me if I'm wrong but like as far as I can see, no NFTs, no crypto, no.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's a traditionally bad video game.
Roger McCorny
What was it? What was it the meme that goes around where it's just like no allegations, no racism, just ass.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is that the little weight apple?
Roger McCorny
I know. I think it was like BBNO or whatever his name is.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. Maybe no money, but.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, no it's, it's. I just, I am, I'm annoyed at this and I'm annoyed at what's going like the fact that they even released this game in the state of this. But I'm happy that people are getting refunds.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Roger. Mind's Eye sounds like a big old failure. But if I wanted something small, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
Roger McCorny
You go. Our last story, the Wii News Channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. Every time I say I'm going to just, just look at you and say it and then I have to go back because I just, I don't remember. I'll be an awful actor. Here's the thing.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No, cuz like so much of the show is scripted. You know what I mean?
Roger McCorny
So much of it. So much.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's just too much to remember. And then it changes every six months.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
There's always like one small thing that changes and so you just got to.
Roger McCorny
Every word I've said on this podcast is scripted.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
People, including this one, I think that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
The show is live, it's pre recorded.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We like, we go and get super chats from like just the Internet.
Roger McCorny
We pay the super chat. These were all bots.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. That way you just pay us $5 and we think we're saying stuff. Story number six is we news from Eurogamer. Days after announcing a tentative agreement had been reached with key video Game companies, U.S. actors Union, SAG. AFTRA has suspended its nearly year long strike, instructing members to return to work on productions that fall under its interactive media agreement. Love that.
Roger McCorny
Hell yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Let's, let's get back to making some video games, brother. I don't know why I said it like this. Brother, brother, brother from WCCF Tech. According to a new Report published today by Bloomberg. Chinese tech giant Tencent has approved Nexon about potentially acquiring the company worth $15 billion.
Roger McCorny
15 billion.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
15 billion. With a B. With a B.
Roger McCorny
With a B. Shout maplestory.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Maple Story.
Roger McCorny
Nexon owns Maple Story.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Roger McCorny
It's probably where all the billions are coming from.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Is Nexon the one that also owns Dave the Diver?
Roger McCorny
Maybe.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
There you go. Fifteen billion. Fantasy life. I.
Roger McCorny
Maybe. No, I'm gonna do no research on that either. I'm just gonna look, you say, baby, let's just move on.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
The answer is yes. The answer is yes.
Roger McCorny
Yes. Everyone's saying yes.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Fancy life I. The Girl who Steals Time has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. And then finally, Nexon, I think, also does like, like DNF and like, the first Berserker. Kazan. And all that stuff is all these, like, I always get Nexon and Net Ease conflated, even though they're very different companies.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. It's just any.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's the.
Roger McCorny
Any that the Maple Story is the number one thing I got here. And then you're right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, Kazan. There you go.
Roger McCorny
A Godzilla game strategy game. What the. That sounds for iOS.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Look up if they did Combat Arms.
Roger McCorny
Combat Arms.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Combat Arms. It was a free to play Call of Duty, like, game from, like, 2009 that I used to play on my computer back in the day.
Roger McCorny
Nexon.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, Nexon. Let's go.
Roger McCorny
Damn. That's crazy. That was a wild pull.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I know, dude.
Roger McCorny
People 8. That's crazy. That was a wild pull.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What people don't know about Combat art arms, dude, is that was bad. That was back when I was in high school and I couldn't afford video games. And Combat Arms is free and, like, it was such a Call of Duty ripoff and nobody knew it. Like, nobody at high school knew about Combat Arms. I just happened across it on the Internet and was like, it. I'll play this, and it's great. It was fantastic. Dude, I was sick as at Combat Arms.
Roger McCorny
Damn. Shout out to Combat Arms. Do you remember Battlefield Heroes?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
No.
Roger McCorny
That was also a free to play. Like, Battlefield Heroes. Yeah. I bring this up, like, once every year or so. Like, Battlefield Heroes was like a Fortnite. It was a fortnight before Fortnite. Or at least in terms of, like, the visual style. It was like, cartoony and all that jazz was. And it was free to play. And it was like. It was like, super. It was wild.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Chat says, no, it was a counter strike rip off. Either way, I was sick as hell at it. They used to have. They would have nutshots in the game. You'd shoot somebody in the nuts and, like, a squirrel would pop up.
Roger McCorny
That's sick.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
2009 battlefield heroes came out. That's crazy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Wow.
Roger McCorny
Free to play.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And then finals one for you for We News still wakes the Deep DLC sirens. Deep is coming June 18th. And that is it for We News. Before we get out of here, let's hop into super chats. Samson L. Writes in and says, this is for combat arms. I was hacking like crazy. I mean, that makes sense. I don't think that game had any security.
Roger McCorny
That's so sick.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Phil writes in and says, Greg punishment. Greg has to wear the DK costume hoodie from the Nintendo Store walk. Yeah. No, he would. He would actually really love that.
Roger McCorny
Everything. Yeah. Every weird punishment you got, he'll love to do. I think the only thing he doesn't want to do is, like, play, I don't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Completion.
Roger McCorny
I was gonna be like, go outside.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Boot up a Nintendo. That guy CJ splits and says, if you like stealth, check out Eric's home. I think I listened to a KHD the other day where they already talked about Eric's home.
Roger McCorny
Eric's home.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
E, R, I, K, S H O, L M. All one word.
Barrett Courtney
We did.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
We did. There you go.
Roger McCorny
I need to look at it now.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I'm just. Ability writes in. It says, how many chats could a super chatter chat? If a super Chatter could super chat chat?
Roger McCorny
That's fire, bro.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Nailed that.
Roger McCorny
I love that.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
And then one more from Flying Penguins. He says, witness, my friend opened up. Witness, my friend opened a banana from the bottom. I felt like I was watching an AI video of someone opening a banana. It was truly terrible. Thanks.
Roger McCorny
You can do this. I do this opening up. Yeah. It's easier.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I used to do that as a kid because it was easier. And then I grew into an adult.
Roger McCorny
And then you're like, I'm a loser. No.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Then I was like, I'm gonna be a normal human being and do it the wrong way.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. No, but here's the thing. You got to do some. Some things the right way. You got to show people how it's all about. Yeah. You could just.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
It's also.
Roger McCorny
That's the way that. That's the way the gorillas do it. At least that's what a Tick tock told me. So I just listened to it.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Huh?
Roger McCorny
They just said that, like, monkeys and gorillas, they do it from the bottom.
Barrett Courtney
It's so much stronger than you.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You know, it peels naturally. More naturally from the bottom.
Roger McCorny
Yeah.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
But also you just acting like pulling the stem is hard. Like it's.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, but sometimes you mash the tip because it's just not ripe.
Barrett Courtney
Yeah.
Roger McCorny
You know what I mean? Like, sometimes it's just overriped. Yeah, exactly.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You shouldn't be struggling as much opening a banana.
Roger McCorny
I'm not saying I'm struggling. I'm just saying, like, it's just not built like that. Don't turn this on me.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You did it the other way when I was a kid, and then I grew up and I was like, I'll just do it.
Roger McCorny
I'm sorry. You conformed to the way that society works, okay? I'm out here. I'm changing. I'm being the change that I. To see. You're.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You're changing by looking at monkeys and being like, oh, they do it that way. I'm gonna do it the monkey way. Get the out of here, Roger.
Roger McCorny
Wrong bottom is the way people are saying it sometimes. She's got a bottom. You can't be topping.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You know what? When you put it like that, I don't understand what you're saying. Why are you showing me a video of a man opening a banana? He didn't make that look easy. But even still. Pull the lever. All right. It's right there.
Roger McCorny
Someone said I ripped the middle. That's crazy.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah. No, that's insane.
Roger McCorny
You gotta get out of here.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Let's hop in a year wrong, rewrite it, and let us know what we got wrong as we got it wrong.
Roger McCorny
So we'll put banana a switch. To be honest, that's hilarious. That's good.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
AGS Kebabs says a handicap, and golf works by giving you a head start on the score. So if it takes you 100 strokes to complete an entire golf course. Whose par course or whose par score is 70? Your handicap is 30.
Roger McCorny
I hate.
Barrett Courtney
I hate. Like, why is he trying to impose knowledge on.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, I didn't want to.
Barrett Courtney
We didn't want to know. And frankly, I wasn't listening. I don't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
They also know it's never taken me 100 strokes or anything, Roger. I'll tell you that right now. All right? Come on. I'm a golf king. That's what I'm talking about.
Roger McCorny
Two and done, bro.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Nick Chic. That's not a year wrong. We're not saying that. And then they're telling me what the best Metal Gear game is. Or, like, how you play. Like, they're saying Twin Snakes is better to play than Mulgar. Solid one.
Roger McCorny
All Right.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
That's a different experience as well.
Roger McCorny
It's a different experience. And I played one. It was good. Ending sucked. Landing sucked up. Metal Gear Solid one. We gotta talk about this.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Who did? Oh, the ending.
Roger McCorny
Yeah. Ending of Metal Gear Solid one sucks.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
I don't know about that.
Roger McCorny
Right? I mean, I'm not gonna spoil it for everybody. That sucks.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
The ending.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, the ending sucks. I mean, it's like the actual ending of it.
Barrett Courtney
It's a really old game. I think you can. I think. I think we talked about it openly without worried about spoilers.
Roger McCorny
He rides off in the sunset. Rides off in the sunset with. Oh, now I'm in love and I'm. The otacon. Ending is way better. Two bros walking off from the sunset. That made sense. Not. Not him. And. And what you got?
Blessing Adioye Jr.
What you got against. Is it Meryl? Is he. Yeah. What you got against Merrill?
Roger McCorny
I just. I just didn't buy it. I just didn't buy the whole relationship. It just felt, like, really forced and weird.
Barrett Courtney
There's more games, so.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Yeah, just play this.
Barrett Courtney
I know.
Roger McCorny
Okay, well, I'm talking about the first game. There's more games. I played the first game, and I'm judging the game.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
He had mellower solid 4 written in his head.
Roger McCorny
Yeah, exactly.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
You know what I mean? When he put out another side one. Roger. That's it. We're kind of fun at Games Daily. All right, we got gamescast after this, and we're gonna be reviewing the Switch too. But of course, this has been kfcd. Each and every weekday, we run you through the nerdy news you need to know about live on YouTube, Twitch, and on podcast services around the globe. If you love what we do, support us with the kind of funny membership on Patreon or YouTube to get all of our shows ad free, watch us record them live and get a Daily exclusive show. Enjoy the games cast next and the stream after. And we got another show in there somewhere. Which show is it? There's a Greg Way somewhere in review this morning.
Roger McCorny
I don't know.
Blessing Adioye Jr.
Superman. Superman, the movie in review. But until next time, Game Daily.
