Adio, Ye Jr. Joining me is the tastemaker, Roger P.
Roger P.
How you doing, Blessing? It's Friday.
Blessing
Friday.
Roger P.
We made it through it. We got it.
Blessing
I mean, the question is, are you going to be doing tomorrow? Because you got a big day tomorrow.
Roger P.
We got a big day. You want to talk about it right now?
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
We're going to be content next week. I should have raised my hand during the money podcast thing and been like, this is going to be content. This is going to be big content.
Blessing
Our friend Yousef is having a field day for his birthday, which I.
Roger P.
Beautiful idea.
Blessing
Incredible.
Roger P.
Such a fun idea.
Blessing
We're going to, we're going to get to be outside. We're going to get deflects.
Roger P.
Yeah. We have a lot of people going. I think it's 50 people.
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
Going to this event. Right? We have tug of war.
Blessing
Tug of war.
Roger P.
We got steal the turkey bacon.
Blessing
We got no idea what that is.
Roger P.
Oh, I think it's like when you line up like both teams and there's like a. There's like something like usually this is maybe we did in kindergarten or whatever, first grade, but it was like the turkey bacon. It's like there's something in the middle and then like, you like someone has to run up from the middle and like, take it from the other side. I don't, I forget how it works. But like, it's like kind of like capture the flag. So sort of.
Blessing
I love capture the flag, but I
Roger P.
think it's like more of like, I don't know, chat. Let me know how, like, adults play it.
Blessing
Okay.
Roger P.
How adults play it. But like, like, it was like both sides lined up. And when I was like in second grade or whatever.
Blessing
Is it like, is it, is it called steal a bacon? Yeah, like, I'm going still turkey yeah, yeah, that's cool.
Roger P.
That makes more sense.
Blessing
That's fun.
Roger P.
And then there's something else. But then the thing is about this, it's like, it's you, it's me going. But some other people from Kind of Funny are going, oh, yeah. And playing in this.
Blessing
Yes.
Roger P.
When I looked at the list and I saw that I was on a team with Nick S, I was like, there's a mistake. And I looked at Nick, I was like, are you excited about this? He said, what? I said, you're signed up to do this thing. He's like, oh, I thought we're just like, you know, throwing around a football and drinking beers. Like, did you read this particle that you were invited to? Oh, I didn't get the particle. Yeah, you did. Don't look at me and say you did not get this. It said it in plain English. Exactly what this is. He's like, I got to get out of this.
Blessing
I can't do this.
Roger P.
You got Nick scarped on my team.
Blessing
I'm not worried about Nick, though, because Nick, he does like jiu jitsu and stuff, right?
Roger P.
Yes.
Blessing
I don't know the last time he went to. I assume he goes regularly still.
Roger P.
Yeah, yeah. But you know, you never get hurt all the time.
Blessing
He gets what? He gets hurt when the amount of times he's like, oh, black eye. Oh, I can't use my thumb for a month.
Roger P.
He's doing a PT and stuff. You know what I mean? Like, there's going out there. At least he is out there.
Blessing
Now I'm worried about Tim Geddes.
Roger P.
Yes. We should have the conversation. I love Tim Gettys. Yeah, he's the best. We love him so much.
Blessing
He.
Roger P.
Last time he did do physical activity in this office was when we were running around for the Pizza Bandit sponsored stream where we're running from outside to the. To inside the studio, which is not that long, not that far.
Blessing
He did outside, inside. Yeah. That's not.
Roger P.
He was limping for the next three weeks and said that he pulled something really badly. So this is. I don't think this is going to go well for them. I think there's an over under maybe four to five injuries at this event.
Blessing
That's my biggest fear, is that somebody is going to injure themselves because in my. In my now years of playing rec league sports.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
I have seen over like four injuries across these.
Roger P.
One in my family.
Blessing
One in your family. Friend Eric got injured in this last volleyball season. Last volleyball season. We got our girl Bella got injured like Lianza also.
Roger P.
Did fall during one of the volleyball seasons as well. So, yeah, there's a lot of things going on.
Blessing
So I'm like, when you get a bunch of just like nerd adjacent people all together on a field, you know, I think. Here's the thing. Yusuf told me he's going to lead exercise or he's going to lead stretches and warm ups. And I think that's always our biggest issue is that we just jump right into it. We don't stretch enough. Yeah. And so I think, you know, let Tim do some lunges before getting in there. Honestly, I gotta, I gotta get better at stretching.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
I think it's gonna be a fun time though.
Roger P.
Do you think that maybe someone hurts themselves while stretching?
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
Like, how intensive is this stretch? Because 100 every morning I do stretches at my gym and it is very intensive.
Blessing
Really?
Roger P.
Like, it is like we're, we're going like we're on the floor, we're doing fucking pike presses. We're doing insane shit that I'm like, this is the workout. This would have been the workout for me like five months ago, but now this is like just the beginning and I'm just scared. I don't know how. Like, Yousef's a buff guy.
Blessing
Yeah, he's. He's probably the most in. In shape person I know.
Roger P.
Yes. So then how much is he pushing Tim, Yetis and Nick to like. Hey, no, we're actually, I think, I think he knows.
Blessing
I think he'll, he'll help us all out. Right.
Roger P.
Either way, it's going to be content.
Blessing
Next week it's going to be content. Yes. I, yeah, I'm, I'm excited. I. I'm so bad about stretching, which I know is going to come back to bite me in probably about 10 years, maybe even five years.
Roger P.
Yeah. Next week.
Blessing
Next week. Honestly, already at times it comes, it's come back to bite me. I, I do this thing where I have yearly goals, but then I have quarterly goals. I like kind of like financial quarters. One of my yearly goals is to be able to do the splits. I'm not going to get there, but I'm doing my quarterly, you know, like, trying to get, you know, more limber over time. Trying to do it. Can you show us how close you can go?
Roger P.
Okay.
Blessing
Absolutely not. It's okay.
Roger P.
That's fair.
Blessing
Yeah, that's fair. It's not, I'm not, I'm not even close to no problem. Have I been skipping stretching and skipping my. Yeah, I've not been making any progress toward this thing. But I will. Roger, would you like to give it one attempt?
Roger P.
No, I'm good. But I will say that I. I recently had a moment where I. I was like, you know what? Let me. Let me try to touch my toes. I haven't been able to touch my toes maybe ever. I want down there. Perfect. Really? I'm like, I could touch my toes now. Like it just happens. Yeah. It's a stretching. It's working out, huh?
Blessing
Teach me your stretching right now. Your stretching routine.
Roger P.
We can do that off camera.
Blessing
Okay, fair enough. Let's talk about video game news on camera. Remember, if you're watching live, you can be a part of the show by super chatting in over on YouTube.com kind of funny games. Remember, we couldn't do this without our producers. Over on patreon.com kind of funny. So thank you to Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Somm Twitter whining for now. Let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. It's time for some news. We have five stories today. Baker's dozen. Would you gesture in it?
Roger P.
I'm mad at Jun Da in the chat over here. He bends his legs for sure. Go yourself. No, I don't. Listen, I'm stretching them calves, okay? They. I feel it. I feel it. It hurts. It doesn't feel good. It's not easy once. But I'm doing it.
Blessing
I. I bend my legs all day, every day when I'm trying to touch my toes. I don't think I've ever been able to touch my toes without bending my legs. I don't understand how you want to
Roger P.
do a split before you can touch your toes. You got. You got it all up. The end of the year should be doing the split.
Blessing
Maybe. Maybe two. Maybe my two year goal is the split.
Roger P.
Hey, where do you see yourself in five years?
Blessing
Splits. Splits. Honestly. Yeah, you're right. I should be able to. That's actually a better one. I'm gonna make that my end of year goal. Okay. A new one. I'm touching my toes.
Roger P.
Okay.
Blessing
Without bed in my ear.
Roger P.
I like that.
Blessing
I like that.
Roger P.
We'll update you at the beginning of next year for Kind of Funny Day. We'll let you know about that.
Blessing
I'm not gonna try.
Roger P.
I was gonna.
Blessing
I was thinking about trying hard. Like you guys really can't. Like this isn't a bit.
Roger P.
Yeah. Touching my toes like without bending your knees. Yeah, yeah, of course. Oh, we can't hold on. Yeah, that's tough.
Blessing
That's. I. I wasn't that far, though. I'm like, that's crazy, guys. I'm touching my toes right now. I'm like 3 inches, 2 inches straight. Bend the other way. Bend the other way. What do you mean? Like a bow is what I'm saying, you know? No, I don't know. Bend like a boat. Just. They're straight. They're straight is what I'm saying. Oh, man. Yo, Roger. Got it. Roger.
Got it.
Roger P.
I need everyone to give 10 subs right now for that.
Blessing
The table was in the way. No one could see it. Kevin, you're touching your toes. Yeah. Oh, I didn't know you were like that. That's crazy. Come over here and see. I'll there. I'll come over there and see. Story number one. Leaked images reveal Xbox Elite 3 controller with mysterious new buttons this is from Tom Warren at the Verge. Hours after a smaller Xbox cloud gaming controller appeared online, Brazil's intel regulator has also accidentally published images of what appears to be Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Elite 3 controller. Technoblog has posted images that show the Successor to the Elite 2 controller with an interchangeable D pad, paddles, and two new mysterious buttons. The Elite 3 controller design appears to be more refined, this time with the addition of two new scroll wheels, and at the bottom, that could be related to controller adjustments or a new input method for games like Microsoft flight simulator. The Elite 3 will also have a new pair button that can switch between a local mode or cloud mode to connect directly to Xbox cloud gaming servers in cloud mode. This should improve the latency for cloud streaming games, and it's something that will also be available on the smaller Xbox controller that leaked earlier today. Microsoft also appears to be moving to a removable rechargeable battery in the Xbox Elite 3 controller, as filings at Anatel indicate, this updated controller has a smaller removable battery compared to the Elite two. It's not clear when Microsoft plans to release these new Xbox controllers, but given they're leaking at regulators, I wouldn't be surprised to see them get announced at the upcoming Xbox Showcase in June. Roger, let's start there. Yeah. Do we see this controller and I guess the other cloud controller at the Xbox Showcase in June?
Roger P.
Yes. I think you see this and you see the. My prediction yesterday was that this, the. The other one, the smaller one, is very much a. A little quick. Like Asha pulls it out of her pocket and just like, oh, look at this thing. But really what you want. Throw it away. Here's the Elite control. This is what you really want. This is bullshit. That, you know, that Sarah Bond made us make. Boom. We don't want that one. We want this. Well, I mean, the cloud controller situation just feels a little bit like everything's an Xbox type vibe, you know what I mean? Where it's like that doesn't seem like what they're going for now, but you know how hardware production's made, right? Like this takes a long time and they probably had a bun already made. So you can't really stop that when that's happening unless you eat that loss. But yeah, I do think we see this in June. Do you think so?
Blessing
Yeah, I agree. Yeah, I think, I think it makes sense, right? Yeah. The article points out the fact that these are leaking right now through these regulators. Like we're probably going to see these announced soon. I wonder when they come out, you know, like how long between that hardware announcement to actually seeing these things on store shelves. I don't think this fall probably makes sense for it.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
I guess my biggest question is, what's up with these wheels?
Roger P.
Yeah, the wheels are weird, man. Like I. They said the. What was it? Maybe it's a input thing for flight simulator. That's weird, man. That's like a weird way to like.
Blessing
I feel like that's Tom Horn stretching and trying to figure something out. Like, how do you use these? Yeah, I, I'd be. For Flight simulator fans, if there's people in chat that would know exactly how these would function in that game specifically, let us know. But yeah, I, I don't. Obviously you wouldn't just put a thing in the controller just for one game.
Roger P.
Just for one game.
Blessing
Yeah. But also like, could this be a thing to adjust how other buttons feel? Could this adjust how the analog stick feels?
Roger P.
Ooh, maybe it's like a pressure sensitivity for like the buttons maybe. You know what I mean? Like, as you go up it like it gets like higher or whatever or something like that.
Blessing
I could also see it being. I don't. And this is a weird one, but with the entire PC push and the next gen Xbox being a PC type device, could it be like just a scroll wheel? Is that something you need in a controller?
Greg Miller
Sort of.
Roger P.
I mean, I'm right now playing on the Rog Ally and I'm really liking it a lot. Like the Xbox overlay and everything. But it just using the Xbox controller is just a little weird and like not having to scroll a scroll wheel or a trackpad of some kind is just a bit weird. So like, I, I don't necessarily think that solves the Problem fully. But I. Having a scroll wheel so that I can like go through, you know, menus would be nice.
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
But I mean, I don't know, it's not exciting. Like that's, that's the thing about this, like, which is not the end of the world. Like nothing about this though, like, screams like I need this from my series too. Like if I have my series two, I enjoy my series two. I. The biggest issue is the build quality of those things, right? We've talked about it a million times of like those things break and like the rubber gets weird and like, you know, there's weird drift that happens for a very expensive controller. Like they're not, they're not, they don't hold up as well as you'd want them to. So that's what I'm more interested about. This is like what are you doing here? To make sure that this thing lasts. Like, I don't know. Is it the different type of rubber? It does seem like it still has that like grip, like that's halftone grip that they have for the other one. That's my biggest issue with the control with the series one and two. Yeah, I don't know, it just doesn't scream like this is a. The massive next generation. But also I don't even really know what I'm looking.
Blessing
That's the thing is like, does it, does it need to be that? Is there, is there something that you are looking forward is okay, this feels like it's stepping into the next generation or is it just sturdiness and yeah,
Roger P.
I mean it's weird because it's like honestly, and I know this is like not what everyone's looking for. I think the Steam controller is what I'm looking for for everything now. I love those trackpads. I love everything about it. And especially if you're going to the Project Helix, which is going to be a PC half the time, right? Like I'm sure people are going to be dual booting and booting up their, you know, okay, I can get this game for $5 on Steam Store instead of, you know, $20 on Xbox. I'm going to go into the Steam and to my Xbox Windows boot up there. I want to be able to interact with Windows in a better way again using the Rog Ally. It is annoying using my Xbox controller and having to go into the settings, turn on the, the, the, the cursor in order to then turn off a, you know, a button that, you know, pops up that there's no way because Windows doesn't understand a controller, right? So it's all these weird, you know, layers of compatibility that I wish that they did the plunge of like, hey, we're making a PC. Like, we need a controller that controls PC. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know.
Blessing
It's just.
Roger P.
It's a weird thing that they're going for here. And I think just having a regular Xbox layout, they have not figured it out within Windows to do all the things you want to do easily. Maybe that's what that flip is.
Blessing
See, that's fascinating, because I didn't even think about it like that. Right? Like, when you look at the Steam controller and you have those tracking buttons, right? The touchpad and all this stuff, it is. This is how you control a PC. We're translating that to a controller in the way that, like, it's a Steam deck that's whittled down to a controller in a really nice way. Xbox is in a weird place of, hey, this is a console. So I don't think you want to add trackpads to an Xbox controller unless it is a. I could, and I could honestly see this. An Xbox controller. That is. This is the PC version. Right. With the trackpads. But are you. How much does that sell? Is that worth doing? Right. Like, do you see your audience as an audience that is like, we. Is there a sizable amount of those folks that want an Xbox PC configured controller? I think that'd be neat. Honestly, I think I would be in the market for one.
Right.
But that's also me speaking from how much I like using my trackpad on my Steam deck and how much I would actually like to have a Steam controller. But, yeah, I think there's a balance there as far as what you want to communicate your device as. I don't think you can have that as the default because I think as Asha and this new guard of Xbox, you want to continue to drill in that. Hey, no, this is. This is what you love about Xbox. It is the console experience. It has a PC built in. Right. But, like, here is what you have as a traditional Xbox controller. We are leveling this up for the core Xbox experience.
Roger P.
Yeah. I just had a thought, which again, fantasy booking. So I don't think it showed up in any of the details of what this controller is from the leak, but maybe some type of, like, gyro situation for the mouse. I think that could be interesting. Like the magic mouse for the LG OS TVs. So being able to use that and be like, okay, you Know, scroll wheel. Okay. Now I'm in, you know, gyro mode. Okay. I can go click the thing, press my trigger is the mouse button, left click.
Blessing
Selfishly, I would love that to be standardized like every, every like core controller across these devices. Having Gyro. Selfishly, because I, I loved when like until dawn would have the standstill as possible to not get detected by. And we can't do that when the games are on all the platforms. And so I'm like, let's, let's get that across the board. And also like Andy talks about how much he likes Gyro for aiming on console games. I think there's a Resident Evil there.
Roger P.
It's great.
Blessing
Really?
Roger P.
Yeah. On the PS5.
Blessing
Really? Yeah, yeah, it's really good as I've had that.
Roger P.
Oh yeah, you can get those, those headshots with it. Really good. Really good shit, man. Yeah, I agree with you. Gyro is. And that's again, when you go to the Steam controller, which is only $100, right. You assume that this is going to be 120, $150.
Blessing
I mean on Best Buy right now, I don't know if this is an increased price compared to what's been, but on Best Buy, the Microsoft Xbox Elite Series 2 is $200.
Roger P.
Oh, shit. Okay, never mind. I thought these are $120, but yeah, the Steam controller just has everything.
Blessing
Let me double check and see if that's msrp.
Roger P.
Yeah, everything that I would want. Again, as a. I understand that Mike's in the chat talking about how much he loves the Xbox controllers and just how perfect it is as an Xbox controller. And I completely agree. But if this is supposed to be like the thing that bridges the gap for Project Helix, like I'm just so interested of how we do this because again, it's a PC, so you have to kind of figure out unless you are. Unless Windows is like locking in and like Xbox is locking in and making the Xbox overlay experience as good as Steam os, which is such a lofty goal because you are building on top of the bones of Windows, which is just, it's bloated and there's a lot going on and it's not built for controller. So Steam OS is right. Steam OS is just Steam big picture mode. So there's very rare times where you have to break out of like what they've built it there and everything's controller based. So them having to, you know, having this thing that doesn't necessarily have Windows elements there is just a little interesting.
Blessing
Yeah. Now Mike in Chad is saying, oh, the trackpad this, trackpad that. Trust me, no one is using that. Do you think he has a point there?
Roger P.
I mean, people are not using it when they're connected to their Xbox, but when they're connected to their Project Helix, that has Steam on it, right? Then they're going to have to fucking use it. Because guess what, you're going to have to go, Mike, into the Xbox button, go to the left, go over two tabs, go down all the way, go into cursor mode to turn off a fucking pop up that popped up. And that's what you're going to have to do when you go into this, the other side of Project Helix.
Blessing
I've used the trackpad for more.
Roger P.
Also record the buzz. Why are you watching? You have to record. You have to. Why are you watching? Record the buzz. Record of the buzz. And we have to cancel it because it was. It was. We did something bad.
Blessing
What'd you do?
Roger P.
We can't talk about it.
Blessing
Oh, no. I saw you guys walking off yesterday after the meeting where it's like the work day's over. It was 5pm and I see you guys walk off in the distance together to go record the buzz.
Roger P.
Mike, go record the buzz.
Blessing
You're not using the trackpad. And here's what I'll say. Most people probably aren't using the trackpad. Some people are using the trackpad.
You're going to buy this Steam controller and use that trackpad. About 2% of the controller's lifetime span. You are not using that in your day to day gaming and ever. I promise you I'll never walk up to your desk and go, damn blessings going too.
You should have seen me play an inscription.
Mike, I promise you, you're not.
The entirety of.
You're not doing that.
Roger P.
Also, you play video games in a very special way. I'd be using those track beds.
Blessing
I've been using those trackpads sometimes. Yeah, but here's the thing. I. But Mike is right in the sense that 90.
Roger P.
Mike is spitting. He's literally spitting.
Blessing
He's spitting everywhere 95% of the time. I'm not using the trackpad. Yeah, but does that mean you get rid of it for that 5% of the time? You might. That's the question you got to ask yourself. And like, honestly, to Mike's point, I look at my dualsense all the time and I'm like, what the fuck are we doing?
Roger P.
Well, yeah, the dual sense is another conversation.
Blessing
The dualsense touchpad fucking off of this
Roger P.
thing, get the touchpad off, get the lights off. Why? The light takes hours. This thing should be lasting 24. Why is it, why do I have to plug it in every time I turn on my PlayStation? Like, you know, I mean, there's an issue here.
Blessing
I stand by the, I stand by the Steam controller trackpad. I like that it's there.
Roger P.
Yeah. But again, this is a half a PC. So unless you have to, unless you figure out what the UI is of Xbox overlay for Windows and you really lock in and make that fully customizable for a controller and make it easy. I, I, I think you need those trackpads. You need some type of solution or maybe a job.
Blessing
And, and I honestly think, I honestly think it's not even in the main thing. I think it is just in the, honestly, the, oh, I'm not going to speak on the cloud controller because I didn't listen to the conversation yesterday. I don't know where we're at with like the cloud specific controller, but I look at it as like something like that of hey, here's the, here's the trackpad controller. Here's an additional. It's not the main sku. It's not the elite sku. It is a different separate sku.
Roger P.
Maybe here's a remote, here's a.
Blessing
Do people want to buy this? Let's make a thing.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
Maybe make a low amount of them and see what the audience is there and give them that option if they want the trackpad.
Roger P.
Yeah. The Xbox series PC Elite people saying
Blessing
Hashtag Mike is right. I'm not trying to make this a versus thing.
Roger P.
I am.
Blessing
Okay, Roger, I am.
Roger P.
One thing about this that I think is interesting is the cloud aspect of it. Right. Having these controllers built in with the cloud connection where it goes through WI fi. I wonder if this is going to be ubiquitous. Like is it just because it's on the smaller version? Right. Because that's what it's built for. The one that we talked about yesterday, which is for streaming and cloud X cloud stuff, it's on this. Are we going to do a refresh of the main controllers and also have that? Because I feel like this should just be on everything. Like I don't think it should be like behind a paywall between these two controllers. Like I think we need a refresh of the main controllers that has a button just, I mean I think at
Blessing
that point is wait for next gen. Yeah, I think we're close.
Roger P.
I mean I feel like these are just Next gen controllers at this point. I don't think we're doing another one. You know what I mean? Like, I think we're just, I think we're just going to be. If we're doing a refresh, just do a refresh and just be like, focus on the consoles next year or two years from now, whatever.
Blessing
But I think you need something, I think when the, whenever the quote unquote next gen Xbox releases, there's going to be like one or two bullet points. I think one of those bullet points
Roger P.
are like, here's the new controller.
Blessing
Here's the new controller. It has cloud now, which is not going to mean much to like I think most of the players, but I think that'll just be another thing that you can add and that's your opportunity to refresh and not disrupt everything. I think if you refresh the core stuff now then it maybe it gets kind of messy in there, but you can refresh at a new console and it feels a bit more natural.
Roger P.
I do really want them to have like an attachment for the regular. Like I have so many controllers, I don't have to buy another one if I want to connect to the cloud. Like they should have some type of attachment that has whatever Fucking, I don't know. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. That connects to the USB C. That like right there is like a little like battery pack almost.
Blessing
Roger, you ain't doing that shit.
Roger P.
I mean, you're not doing that.
Blessing
Who's doing that?
Roger P.
Who try it out. I like tinkering. That's for me.
Blessing
Yeah, I'm pushing it as far as the amount of like hardware accessory shit that I have in my apartment. My apartment's too small to have as many things.
Roger P.
You don't want the cloud battery pack.
Blessing
The amount of dust I have on my Amazon Luna controller. Like, why is, why is this something I still have? You know what I mean?
Roger P.
But that connects to the WI fi.
Blessing
That does connect to the WI fi and also it does hold pretty well. But also I never use it because I'm using. When I'm playing on PC, I'm using my Xbox. Yeah, like what are we. But you're not using that shit.
Roger P.
I'd be open to it.
Blessing
You try it out.
Roger P.
If it was 20 bucks, I'd buy it.
Blessing
Let's bring in some super chats for you. JBC writes in and says, did you tap into Drake's. Into Drake's three albums blessing? Here's what I'll say.
Roger P.
Blew my mind, by the way. You should tell them that I, Roger
Blessing
walked in and was like, oh, you're not even listening to the new Drake album. And I was like, oh, I'm listening to Habibi. And Roger, like, continues doing his thing. And then Roger walks out. He's like, man, did you. So, like, what do you think about the double album rumors? I'm like, what do you mean? Roger? He's like, do you think Drake's going to drop two albums? I looked at Roger, I was like, drake dropped three albums.
Roger P.
Blew my fucking mind.
Blessing
Roger had no idea. Roger thought Drake only dropped one album. And I had to inform him that, though there's.
Roger P.
Yeah, I just listened to Iceman. I was like, this is bad. Wow. Do you think he can do it better next week? Maybe with another album? You're like, roger, he has two other bad albums. That's crazy.
Blessing
Two other albums that are out right now. It's too much music. You should never drop three albums is my opinion. No, that sucks. Especially if you're Drake. You already have too much music. I'm already tired of you, Drake.
Roger P.
Yeah, exactly.
Blessing
Don't drop three albums. Stop it. Golly. You got another one from the postman who says, hey, Blessing. Roger. Have y' all seen the new Garfield secret layers that were shown today? I haven't seen the cards, but I did get the press release and immediately sent it to Greg as a way to hopefully get Greg into magic. I should have sent that to you too, Roger.
Roger P.
Oh, these are.
Blessing
Maybe this is your gateway.
Roger P.
These are beautiful. Oh, my God.
Blessing
Yeah, hold on, let me check out the.
Roger P.
I would love some. This is really cool. These are awesome, yo.
Blessing
Secretly, if you're watching or listening. Yeah, I would love send some Garfield cards for Mike and Greg and Roger. Or. Sorry, Roger and Greg. Damn. My bad.
Roger P.
Now that's crazy.
Blessing
You guys are one enemy to beat me now. You guys are two halves of this. Yeah, that's true.
Roger P.
Mike and Greg, they're cool.
Blessing
Kevin hasn't pulled up. Can we get like a. Like a close up somehow? Sorry, I'm trying to figure out. I just went to secret lair.
Roger P.
Yeah, there.
Blessing
It looks like. Oh, coming soon.
Roger P.
Got it.
Blessing
But I'm not seeing. Oh, they're not showing the cards. Cats are the best. That's part of. Roger, did you find the cards?
Roger P.
I just googled Garfield Seeker Lair and I found some Reddit post.
Blessing
It is part of the Cats are the best pack. Hold on.
Roger P.
That's fine. We'll find it later.
Blessing
Yeah, well, Kev looks for that. Let me bring in another super chat from Christopher, who writes in Assess Stretch Tax because Roger touched his toes.
Roger P.
Thank you, Christopher.
Blessing
Love you, Laser Shark says. Didn't know we'd have three baddies dropping it low on the stream today. Here's $5. Thank you so much.
Roger P.
Thank you.
Blessing
We're the baddies, Roger.
Roger P.
Oh, we are.
Blessing
Oh, I like these.
Roger P.
Oh, these are awesome.
Blessing
Oh, it's a soul ring. I love that.
Roger P.
That's beautiful.
Blessing
Dude, those are so cool.
Roger P.
Talk to the paw. Hang in.
Blessing
We all can get really into magic. The gathering together. Join me.
Roger P.
Join me.
Blessing
My little brother's been trying for years. Do you know what I did on Saturday?
Roger P.
Oh, shit.
Blessing
And I'm not proud of it. I watched the entirety of Beef Season two while creating a Sonic the Hedgehog Commander deck. And I had the time of my life. That's beautiful. I've never felt so relaxed and happy watching Beef.
Roger P.
A very stressful show, apparently.
Blessing
Watching Beef. I love Beef. Such a good show. Beef season two, excellent. But doing all that while just sifting through my just pile of magic cards, trying to figure out what's going to synergize best with Sonic the Hedgehog. Oh, I was alive.
Roger P.
You're the goat, bro.
Blessing
The first time in a very long time I was alive.
Roger P.
Yeah, man. And then just dead inside immediately afterwards
Blessing
after I finished the deck. And I was like, what do I have to live for, man?
Roger P.
Where's the Shadow cards? They don't got any. Like.
Blessing
Well, no, they do have. Yeah, no, my. I made a Shadow deck last year.
Roger P.
You already did that with Beef season one,
Blessing
Season one day. Yeah, exactly. Another super chat from Kebab says Wheels might swap profiles, like on the ds. Like all the dualsense edge. That was one I was gonna shout out of.
Roger P.
Like, maybe they do have a button in the middle that looks like the profile button.
Blessing
Yeah, I think The Elite Series 2 has a profile button.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
Yeah, so there's that. I could also see it being like a volume thing. Like maybe there's some kind of console functionality there that's like. That just makes it easier to adjust things. Because I think maybe. What?
Roger P.
Maybe the Xbox moans when you flip it. Wow. Jesus Christ.
Blessing
True.
Roger P.
Maybe it does.
Blessing
I was gonna say, like, you, like, you scroll the wheel and then like the screen spins or some shit, but you went straight to, like, the screen spin. I don't know. I'll try to keep it pg. Newbie prod writes in and says there's no excuse for first party controllers to not have hall effects slash tmr.
Roger P.
That's so true.
Blessing
The amount of times I got stick drift on my DualSense Plus Edge is annoying. I agree, dude. I agree with that.
Roger P.
So true.
Blessing

Greg Miller
Feels good to be back Wes. Yeah, thanks for having me. Thanks for being but of course I'm not here as your three time game showdown champion or your season 13 kind of feudi champion. All right, I'm here to be the voice to the voiceless. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Greg Miller and I come to you with words from the Dragon aka Cisco. Today at 3:10 in the morning I received the following text message. Good morning my friend. Sorry for hitting you up so early. I am boarding a flight to my hometown of Baltimore for Drew Hill's History of R and B Vegas residency rehearsal and was hoping you, Greg Miller could get a message to the developers of Soros Rahul Kohli Housemark Take the money out of your ears and listen up. The Dragon aka Cisco aka the Thong Song is speaking to you using my PlayStation portal. I have been playing the game on the road and thoroughly enjoy it. However I really don't understand how there are so many accessibility settings options but for some reason no gyro aiming option. I really love my PlayStation 5 but I usually will buy a game on PC if there is shooting involved because I can enable gyro aiming but with this game now that it's on it's not an option because it's on the PlayStation 5 exclusivity thing. Then he uses this emoji and then a smiley cry.
Blessing
Wow.
Greg Miller
I say all that to say Greg, please make mention of Gyro aiming for this game if at all possible. Rahul Kohli House Mark PlayStation the Dragon aka Cisco aka the Thong Song would like Gyro aiming on Soros.
Blessing
I don't know if Rahul does anything with that.
Greg Miller
It doesn't matter, he knows them there. Back to Cisco and please tell everyone a kind of funny I said what's up? And all the positive energy to you guys and all of your loved ones.
Roger P.
That's so sweet.
Greg Miller
Signed off. The Dragon AKA Cisco AKA the Thong Song.
Blessing
I don't. I don't know if his name is the Thong Song.
Roger P.
I think he just made it's also known as. Yeah.
Blessing
Is he known as the Thong?
Roger P.
Yeah. Yeah.
Blessing
Are you. Are you serious?
Roger P.
Are you. According to Greg, that's what he is.
Blessing
I don't know if we can just call him the Thong Song. Yeah, it's the Dragon.
Roger P.
That's exciting. That's exciting to know these on the right side of history. Like me, Andy and Tim.
Blessing
I wasn't coming into this episode thinking that gyro aiming was going to be like theme.
Roger P.
This might be the headline. Yes.
Blessing
But I'm also shocked that Soros wouldn't have gyro aiming. That seems like such a slam dunk functionality to have in that game.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
The action game.
Roger P.
Yeah. But it's like such a. It's such a niche thing. You know what I mean? But it's because it's just me, Andy and the Thong Song. AKA Cisco.
Blessing
Yeah. Playing AKA the Dragon.
Roger P.
Yeah. AKA the Dragon.
Blessing
Wow. Oh, get on that, get on that, get. I don't know if Rahul Kohli is the person to call out for that, but I guess, yeah, Raul knows them. So Raul, if you.
Roger P.
If you're watching Market General, I don't
Blessing
think he does, but yeah, yeah, hit a house mark. Story number 2 Subnautica 2 surpasses 2 million copies sold in 12 hours is 12. This is directly from a press release. Thank you. Unknown Worlds today announced that Subnautica 2 surpassed 2 million copies sold worldwide within 12 hours of launch while continuing to hold the number one position on Steam's global top sellers charts across multiple countries. Peaking current players across Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox exceeded 651,000 with Steam alone reaching a peak of more than 467,000 concurrent players. This marks approximately nine times the all time peak concurrent player count of the original Subnautica which launched in 2018. Player response has remained strong following launch. Subnautica 2 currently holds a very positive user review rating on Steam with 92% positive reviews. Frequently praised elements includes the game's Unreal Engine 5 Power press release stuff. The game also generated significant momentum across live streaming platforms. On Twitch 2. On Twitch, Notica 2 reached more than 413,000 peak concurrent viewers. I wonder what Twitch 2 would be like. Ranking number one across all categories. YouTube Live reached more than 109,000 peak concurrent. All this to say so naka2. Wow.
Roger P.
Very popular. Very wow. Yeah, the boys have been playing it. They're going to be playing it again today. But yeah, walking. It was great to see them. I didn't watch much of the stream like listening to it but I had, we had it on the big tv. Just looking at them and just seeing them just like dead silent, just lost in it. I was like that either means that they love It, Yeah.
Blessing
Or they're bored, miserable.
Roger P.
And then as soon as they walk out, Nick just goes, that was awesome. I'm so excited to play it again. And I'm like, yeah, you feel that energy from them. And it's so nice to see a team like this who've been lied on for so long by their employers who said, this shit ain't ready. This shit.
Blessing
Multiple headlines.
Roger P.
We need to delay this shit. Don't worry about it. It's not because of any bonuses. Don't worry about that. Comes out fucking overwhelmingly positive in an early access state with Unreal Engine 5. That's like, yeah, that's crazy. That's crazy. With the gamers. The gamers hate The Unreal Engine 5. Early access games have a lot of issues. Tend to be, you know, unbalanced, yada, yada, yada. This. To be so beloved and be such a massive hit within one day of release, crazy.
Blessing
But like, early access though, I think there is a. There's definitely been such a shift in terms of the kind of games that people flock to and the kind of games that people are willing to spend their time in. Because these early access survival type games, there's something about them that is making them resonate with like a wide audience of people. And I think part of it is maybe just the third space effect of being able to just hang out in a large world and like work with your friends to continue to build and grow and do all these things. Like there's a satisfying gameplay loop, I think that works for so many people. I wish I was more into survival games. The times I've tried them, I've been like, man, this is not.
Roger P.
What are the ones you've tried?
Blessing
That's a good question.
Roger P.
I've tried Sea of Thieves, but I don't think that's necessarily that.
Blessing
Yeah, see if these. I've tried. I didn't get super into.
Roger P.
Yeah, we got rated and it just.
Blessing
My life. Stop playing. What's the. This Dune Awakening. I guess that's like kind of an mmo, but I feel like that's survival.
Roger P.
Yeah, that counts.
Blessing
Tried that. Tried. You know what? Well, I know I definitely tried some more. I just can't think of what they are at this point because I feel like it was so long ago. Like it was more around like 2020 area. I feel like I would try them out with like Mike and Andy a little bit more.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing
Maybe this design though, maybe. Maybe I'd try one more and we try it out. What's the word on Valheim People still playing that?
Roger P.
Yeah, I mean, yes, but Subnautica too, I guess.
Blessing
I tried Fortnite Survival, the Lego Lego mode. I tried that one.
Roger P.
Yeah, I guess. No, it's Minecraft. I guess that's pretty much.
Blessing
Oh, and Minecraft.
Roger P.
I tried Minecraft. Yeah. Minecraft rules. That's the goat.
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
Don't go like this to Minecraft.
Blessing
No. And I'm not trying to install Minecraft. I didn't resonate with like that. I liked Minecraft when I was on the one episode of the Rooster show.
Roger P.
Yeah, why were you on the one episode?
Blessing
Because I got knocked out. I played. I was on Survive Block island, which is their Minecraft Survivor show. And let me tell you, I should have watched Survivor before getting on that show because I didn't play Minecraft or played Minecraft. Yeah, it was a whole thing. But hell yeah.
Roger P.
Congratulations.
Blessing
Story number three Bungie will test PvE only mode in marathon season two and other things we learned from its roadmap this is Wesley LeBlanc at Game Informer. Bungie revealed earlier this week that season two of Marathon will begin on June 2nd ahead of the new season start. The studio has revealed a massive blog post detailing plans for Season two and beyond. What went wrong with Season one, what went well, and more. Perhaps the biggest surprise in the post is the news that Bungie will implement experimental PvE modes in Marathon during season two. In a section of the blog titled More Options to Chill and New Survival Experiences, Bungie says it is looking to evolve Marathon as a whole to be an experience where you can find more novel ways to play when you're. When you're, quote, stressed out from a nail biting run and just need to cool off in steps. In steps. Experimental PvE modes QUOTE in season two, we'll be experimenting with two modes, one at the beginning of the season and one towards the middle slash latter half of the season. The blog post reads, quote the Experiment experimental mode at the beginning of the season will focus more on PvE, but will with a light touch of PvP. The second experimental mode will be a PvE only mode that's focused on crews being tasked with completing objectives together and making some progress across matches. While I personally quite enjoy Marathon's PvP stress, I can understand why the intense focus on it might be a turnoff for some would be players and PvE modes where would likely draw them in and maybe convince them to give the excellent PvP a go too. Bungie says it'll continue to run experimental cues beyond these two offerings in season two and beyond testing the waters around other mechanics, like a more purely PvP focused mode, with potential for these modes to become part of the core gameplay loop. In Season three, Bungie says it plans to introduce many revisions to Marathon's early experience, including major updates to Perimeter, a new runner shell, and additional content. Season four will focus on building more depth into the existing extraction loop, and season five will be about bringing the whole ecosystem of PvP play together and evolving our weird sci fi world in new ways. And that is a quote.
Roger P.
A lot of P's, a lot of
Blessing
E's, a lot of V's, a lot of P. Yeah. A lot of PVPs. Beeps, PvP.
Roger P.
That's cool. You're the person that I know that plays, has played a lot of this game. What do you feel about this? Are you skinny? Get you back into it?
Blessing
Possibly. I. I'm, I'm excited to potentially get into season two. I say potentially because so many things, so many things. I know we say it all the time, but it feels like as time passes, more and more and more games release at the same time. To the point where it's like there's not any breathing room. That said, I'm excited for the idea of a reset. I'd love to go in, check out the things that have changed them. Implementing experimental PvE only modes. I think it's fascinating for what a extraction shooter is, because I think the core and heart of an extraction shooter, I'm saying this is somebody who's not the expert by any means. I only played some of our creators and I played some of Marathon. But like, the thing that makes those games fun for me is that element of danger of having to take out these ads while a player could come through and fuck up your whole thing. Right. For me, that's exciting. For me, that is what makes that that. However, obviously Marathon has been. Has not been blowing up in the charts and selling like crazy. And so as Bungie, you kind of have to look at it and go, hey, if our goal is way higher for what this needs to do, what are the changes that we need to make in order to get more people in and excited and willing to try Marathon, Willing to interact with Marathon.
Roger P.
Interesting. Yeah. Because I took that less of them trying to get new people in because I don't think PvE necessarily like changes anything. You know what I mean? Like, I think it's more of like, as they said, like if you are. They probably see a lot of dips of people that are just getting fucking dominated, being like, I'm done. And then they maybe, maybe never come back right after they have a really bad game. And then maybe months go by and they're like, fuck, I forgot about that game. Right? Like that. I think this is them to be like, okay, how's. How can we keep these people in this ecosystem? Because, I mean, that's what 2026 is, right? It's the attention economy. Right? Like, how do we keep people in Roblox as long as possible? In Fortnite, in whatever game we're playing, we need to have all these novel modes that potentially maybe only 3% of people use, but those 3% of people stay longer. Right. And then we can continue the playtime and then we can go from there.
Blessing
I think it's a little. Little bit of both because I think what you do with the PvE mode is pair it with a free weekend and have people like. I think that's your opportunity to go, hey, guys, I know extraction might not be for you. Here is PvE only. You're not going to get fucked up by other players. I think there's something that's just inherently fun about the gunplay and like fighting the AI in marathon. That's really fun. That I think is going underappreciated by people who might. Might just not know because they look at marathon and go, not for me. I think if you make a mode that is for them, you have way bigger of a chance to convince them that they should play more marathon because it is really fun. The gunplay is really solid. I think there's a big Destiny audience that of course loves Bungee Shooters that are probably just not interested in marathon because of the kind of game that it is. And I think the thing that I think sucks, but also I guess is necessary is losing the identity of it a little bit. Because I think the more you lean into, we got to get more players, we got to do PvE, we got to do this, we got to do that. The more you kind of lose out on it. Being an extraction shooter, at what point do you just make so many changes to marathon where it just becomes a destiny, like game?
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
But also, I guess that's something you need to do. And I also don't think that's all the way bad when I do think there's content and a core there that is unique, fun, and worthwhile to want to get more people in. Like, more people should be playing marathon.
Roger P.
Yeah, I understand your. Your hesitancy there, but I don't think, you know, never say never, because you know Something crazy could happen. They could have a mode that blows up and is massive. I don't think this is gonna be like a fortnite situation where they had, you know, this is what this game is. Oh, let's make battle royale just a little thing. Oh, no, that's the entire game now. Right. I think the core of Marathon is always going to be this niche smaller thing is just what are the small little things that we can add that keeps the player base in and also maybe attracts a Destiny player. So that's actually a great call. I didn't think about the Destiny angle of it all.
Blessing
Yeah. I think this game just needs to be something that's able to get them to Destiny 3. Right.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
And so, yeah, if we're able to do that. Fingers crossed. Fingers crossed.
Roger P.
Let's.
Blessing
Let's hop into super chats real quick. We got you got a second. Spartan writes in and says birthday tax for tomorrow. Give this $5 to Mike because Roger Wrong. I'll let you cuss out Mike. How would you say that to me? You know what I mean? Listen, me and you like our track pads.
Roger P.
Yeah, come on. We like track pads. I'm sorry you guys only play cultile games, you know what I mean? Well, guess what? If you get a Project Helix, that shit not going to be a console anymore.
Blessing
Damn.
Roger P.
That could be only half a console. You know what I mean? You're half PC gamer. Sorry to break it to you, bud.
Blessing
Wow. Zeke speaks, writes in and says recently played for three hours of the full squad and we lost every single PvP engagement we got into. Excited for the reset and some chiller modes. So there you go to your point. Right? Like that's somebody who does play Marathon who was discouraged by the PvP stuff. Who wants a chiller mode there. Kingsman says if marathon commits to PvE long term, I'm sold again.
Roger P.
More.
Blessing
More proof right there. Right. I think the PvE marathon is really good. And honestly, if I'm. If I'm working at Bungie and I'm seeing the dip of players like people not vibing with the overall thing and I know how good the PvE is in the game, I think I'm making the same exact move of like, okay, well let's focus in on PvE. There's something here about fighting the robots. That's just fun. Yeah. Christopher says Marathon has the highest highs and lowest lows, which I agree with. And then one more from DJ Kento who says founded Tim and Blessing ass game. Slap Happy Rhythm. Slap Happy rhythm busters for PS1. It's a cel shaded fighting game that becomes a rhythm game during super moves. Kevin, can you look up Slap Happy Rhythm Busters? I've never heard of this. Interesting. I'm interested in it.
Roger P.
It looks cool.
Blessing
While Kevin does that, let me read some sad News story number four. This is a report from Insider Gaming. WWE 2K developers have been hit hardest by visual concept layoffs. This is Mike Straw at Insider Gaming. The layoffs at Visual Concepts appears. Oh, I'm going to pause here because we got Slap Happy Fighters.
Roger P.
Oh, it's a PS1 game.
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
Oh, I thought this was like an indie. Like a PS1. Inspired. Like a PS1. That's beautiful.
Blessing
Straight up PS1.
Roger P.
Oh, this is gorgeous. What the fuck?
Blessing
I never heard of this.
Roger P.
Yeah. How have we never talked about this?
Blessing
Sane. Yeah. Straight up fighting game. If you're listening, it looks. I mean, it's a 2D fighter, like a street fighter, but the characters have more of a polygonal look to them. Very colorful. Looks like a Dreamcast game.
Roger P.
Yeah, it really does, actually.
Blessing
But then, yeah, it looked like during a super move, it turned into almost like a DDR style. You got to hit the directions to the rhythm.
Roger P.
This is cool.
Blessing
This is the type of shit that like I. My mom would have rented from family Video. I would have played it for two days and then for my. For the rest of my life I would have been like, is that a Mandela effect that really exists?
Roger P.
Yep.
Blessing
Have y' all heard of this Slap Heavy? Yeah, Rhythm Busters game?
Roger P.
So sick.
Blessing
I fuck with this.
Roger P.
Great super chat.
Blessing
Yeah, thank you for that. DJ Kanto, continue on with the sad story. The layoffs and visual concepts appears to have hit the WWE development team more than those working on NBA 2K. Insider Gaming has learned that though the layoffs were company wide, the teams working on WWE have been hit the hardest. That includes both the main WWE 2K team and those who worked on the 2K25 Netflix edition. As far as how many people were caught up in the layoffs, multiple sources have said that it wasn't insignificant. None were comfortable providing an actual number, however, for fear of underestimating. Going back to the WWE 2K25 Netflix edition, despite it performing well in terms of downloads and reviews, sources within Netflix say that those in charge felt it didn't meet expectations. One source said bluntly, quote, they expected it to be something it was never designed to be. A mobile game. End quote. Sources say that despite promises from management at Take Two, painting a rosy picture of everything being fine, that wasn't truly the case. Quote, Leadership lied the whole time saying the game was fine and great, one source said. After the release of WWE 2K25 Netflix Edition, Netflix opted not to renew its deal for the Netflix editions of 2K 26 or 27. That left an entire team without projects moving forward. Quote, Netflix got their pop on the charts. Another said, super sad news.
Roger P.
Yeah, super sad news. And also like something you, you see coming. When you, when you saw that news of like Netflix is working with WW2K to make a WW2K mobile version, you're like, okay, is this going to be a fully ground up thing or are you just porting the game? And it seemed like they just ported the game, which is shout out to them. Like they've been doing an awesome job. Like this team has been incredible at taking a game that looks really great on the PS5, bringing it to the switch to 60 apps, bringing it to phones and it running really well. Like they did a great job with a pretty impossible task right here. Making this, you know, huge massive video game into a mobile video game.
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger P.
And then now to just be kicked out wayside. It's just, I think there's a little bit of an existential situation with WWE right now and specifically WWE 2K games. I don't know what the sales numbers are on those, but you know, when the product is not great, I don't think the games tend to do as well. So I wonder like when the WWE product. Yeah, exactly. When there's the interest is waning, when they're not able to fill out. I can see that, you know, Wrestlemania and it's a little bit harder for them every year.
Blessing
It's been a rough year. This last year for wrestling.
Roger P.
Exactly. Yeah.
Blessing
Right.
Roger P.
There's the excitement, you know, if we didn't get codes, I would never buy this. This.
Blessing
I forgot this came out. I, at one point, I think I looked at Greg in the last couple weeks and I was like, hey, did WWE 2K? Yeah, I don't think I got it.
Roger P.
I have it on everything, but I literally didn't boot it up just because I don't like the product. I don't like WWE right now. So I think they get caught up in the thing. And also people are mentioning in the chat like the ringside pass with this battle pass. They're trying to do the. The island. Yeah, I, I would be interested to see. I know they're on the yearly cycle right now, but what is the. How do you make that interesting every year Right. Or if. Or do you skip a year? Is that the interest there? Right. I don't know.
Blessing
I mean, I feel like 2K had a resurgence when they did skip some years. Yeah. Granted, that came off of a disastrous WWE 2K. I forget what year was it? Is it 2K 19? Somewhere around there they put out a game so bad that they're like, no more.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
And then they came back and they were killing it.
Roger P.
But this is. By the way, these games are great. By the way, like right now the games are great.
Blessing
Yeah, for sure. But I think you then get diminishing returns in terms of attention span or not attention span in terms of just people wanting to show up and buy the new thing year over year over year. Because honestly, as much as I looked at Greg was like, yo, the new WWE game come out this year. I don't really need it because I got last year's and you can say that for all sports games, but I think there's something about wrestling in particular where it is like, yo, there's. There's so much content there. And there's also like, I think part of why I like wrestling games is making my own stories and doing all that. Like, I'm not as invested in the roster updates. I'm more invested in these action figures and making them fight each other. And I have that with all my previous 2Ks.
Roger P.
Yeah. And it's also a weirder situation now where so many cuts and layoffs over at WWE for their talent now where we've yet WWE 2K27, you're not going to have new day. You know, you're not going to have all these big people that have got laid off. Of course people add it later on with the community stuff, but it is this, this thing of like, I understand Madden every year just because people want to play the new one, have the new roster update. But when the roster updates, like removing half the people that you like, like, yeah, we're in a weird situation. Yeah, yeah, I do. I so, so sorry about this news. I do want WWE to kind of look at and 2k to look at this and be like, what are the better ways that we can like, make this more appealing? I think it is moving this game to the end of the year. I think you got to be putting out w. Interesting. So we're like, hey, wrestlemania, we have it all there. We have the latest update, we have the roster update. You know, someone doesn't we. And you can, you can't always maximize that. But like, there is, you know, after WWE. Sorry. After WrestleMania, there's so many changes, there's so many moves. And like two Cage is always going to be behind. If you put it out in. What was it, February? March. Like March. Yeah. It's going to be in a weird situation. So I think putting at the end of the year is probably the smartest thing.
Blessing
Yeah. Of course. Greg had the whole video blessing show episode about how to fix wtk and I echo a lot of the things he says in that video. But I even think like moving it to three years instead of every year and having it be a. An update deal, like a big expansion. That is. All right, here's your roster update. Here's the new characters or whatever.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
And then when you get to the brand new game, it is a bigger deal, but money speaks.
Roger P.
Sundad said in the chat they should add gyro controls.
Blessing
They should add gyro. I saw somebody earlier in chat ask, what are gyro controls? Which is funny because I never even.
Roger P.
So it's like a really thin slice of meat. You put that on the controller.
Blessing
It's basically when you are. There's like motion controls in video. In like.
Greg Miller
You're right.
Roger P.
So like Dualsense, you try to go so basic. So you know video games.
Blessing
Yeah. You hold the controller. Mario. No, it's like when you can move your controller and you can control your. It's motion controls and regular.
Roger P.
It's motion control your controller. Yeah.
Blessing
Yeah. It's like you turn the controller and then it turns the camera.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
So people splatoon did it. Well, I don't know. This is gyro, Roger.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
If all these controllers could have gyro, that'd be big. I'm going to go, what is. How does it work? What magic do they put in the controller to make the gyros happen? If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
Roger P.
You'd go to our last story, the Wii News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
Blessing
So number five is we news. LEGO 2K Drive will delist on May 19, 2026. All multiplayer servers for the game will be shut down as of May 31, 2027. After that time, all game functions requiring online servers will no longer function.
Roger P.
Everybody buy this game Kevin Show. And what a gyro. How that works. Everyone buy Lego 2K Drive. This game's awesome. I have it on Switch. I bought it for my cousin on Switch. I have it on Steam Deck. It's incredible. It's such a fun experience. I don't know if it's on sale right now, but I bought it for like five bucks. That game's awesome.
Blessing
I hate. I hate that games get delisted.
Roger P.
Yeah, it sucks. We. We gotta figure out something.
Blessing
We gotta figure out something. Kevin, if you can pull up the gyro.
Roger P.
Enough about that.
Blessing
Let's talk about the job. Let's talk about it. Because, guys, is more cool. Complex that I could even describe, right? If you're an audio listener. So there's the gyroscope frame, right? Which. How would you describe the gyroscope frame?
Roger P.
This looks like a globe.
Blessing
I mean, the important thing of a gyroscope is once it gets moving, it stays in its certain axis. And then when you tilt it, you. You can have sensors that can kind of detect how much it's tilting off that axis so it.
Roger P.
It will.
Blessing
Like, in principle, a gyroscope works that, like, any changes are visible on its. Its axis. Right? So that makes sense. Yeah. So it's spinning. Okay, all right, all right.
Roger P.
There's no. No. There's no way that blessing got that.
Blessing
You had me for a while. You had me for a while, and then the last couple sentences fucked me up. I'm not gonna lie. Say those again.
Roger P.
I'm saying.
Blessing
So once you, like, start a gyroscope going, huh, It'll stay level.
Roger P.
Yeah, Right?
Blessing
Yeah, yeah. And then if you grab it from, like, let's say the base right, and turn will remain level, but if you have sensors, you can see how much it's shifting.
Roger P.
Oh, yeah.
Blessing
Oh, yeah.
Roger P.
It's like the. It's like the DJI camera I have.
Blessing
Yeah, exactly that, actually.
Roger P.
But what are you trying to get at then?
Blessing
I don't know. I just want to make it over complicated. It's like the. It's like the little Uzi dance. Dance. You know what I mean? Because, like, you have his arms going like this, but the body's staying centered.
Roger P.
He is doing that.
Blessing
See, if I. If I was a teacher, I. Dude, these kids would be so smart, because I'll just relate everything. A little Uzi.
Roger P.
Yeah. That's why they'd be so smart. Yeah. Yeah, you get really smart. Come on.
Blessing
Should we. Should we order some euros for lunch?
Roger P.
Dude, I like yours a lot.
Blessing
I do like yours. I mean, I'd be down.
Roger P.
I hate Nick.
Blessing
Oh, you don't like the Greek?
Roger P.
Whack y' all about that.
Blessing
What if. What if we go Tacoma, Bart? There's a. A Euro place there at the bar. Well, it's like right next to it. You know, they're. They might close it down if we don't vote. The coma Bart, he shares this seems like a Facebook ad that we're all ignoring from Noble via Automaton. That's so serious. I know. You know, you know don't want this BART stop. That's true.
I agree.
Roger P.
We gotta like, they can't close a BART station, right? They very much.
Blessing
Yeah. Has that ever happened happen before?
Roger P.
I mean, it's gonna.
Blessing
I mean, yeah, it's probably going to. I think this bar is so low priority for. Not a low priority. But like out of all the BART stops, I think they could close this one. But there's like five more after that.
Roger P.
They're not closing.
Blessing
They're not closing those ones specific. Like they're not. They're not gonna close the airport, for example. Right. Like they're gonna keep those stops open. Yeah, but like there's no way they close one BART station.
Roger P.
Yeah, no, I think they. Yeah, yeah, that's what they're proposing. They're doing.
Blessing
Yeah, there's like four or five specific BART stations they want.
Roger P.
Yeah, I think it's Balboa as well
Blessing
stuff all the time. But guys, there's like some in East Bay that they're trying to close too. All right. Toy Toei Animation opens a new studio in Vietnam to expand global production. A new office in Dubai is also in preparation. Yoshi NES and Game Boy OST is now available on Nintendo Music. Windrose has sold over 2 million copies. And then we have one from the nerdy Norwegian who says is this you that out of this? No. Oh, it says, I've been a kfbf since 2016 and I know how kfbfs can gather round support game devs and I would love to see the Norwegian game scene get some kind of funny love. I am lucky enough to be one of the hosts as well as part of the technical team behind Games of Norway, the first games festival to showcase basically everything the Norwegian game dev industry has to offer. We have a huge Steam sale with over 170 games from Norway involved. And we're also in the middle of our week long live stream showcase with interviews, live let's plays and other great content. Blessing
Oh, that he apologizes.
Roger P.
Yeah.
Blessing
This is what I. Here's what I. Here's my thing. Right. I do accept the apology because I. I believe in reconciliation and I couldn't. My values wouldn't let me to. Not reconciliation. Maybe styling.
Roger P.
Okay. Between two. Okay.
Blessing
Between two.
Roger P.
People like that. I think that rehabilitation. But you're right.
Blessing
No, not really. If somebody. If somebody.
Roger P.
You don't believe in that people can't change. We can get people.
Blessing
But if somebody's genuinely sorry, all I gotta accept it. You know what I mean? Okay. But don't do it again. Chepo. And then. Okay, I'll take this. Krabby Patty writes in with missed. WE News. The Kempe released an hour long video of a deep dive behind Amy henig's vision of Uncharted 4.

Cloud Mode:
"This should improve the latency for cloud streaming games … is this going to be ubiquitous? Should be on everything, right?" — Roger [20:59]
Listener Chat: Many comments on whether most players use advanced controller features like trackpads or gyro, with Blessing noting that sometimes “95% of the time I’m not using the trackpad, but does that mean you get rid of it for the 5% you might?” [19:28]
[36:01 – 40:01]
"Early Access survival games are resonating so hard right now — it’s like the modern third space, people just want to hang out and build with friends." — Blessing [38:13]
[42:16 – 46:30]
"At what point do you make so many changes to Marathon where it just becomes a Destiny-like?" — Blessing [45:40]
Ongoing, Key Segments: [15:34 – 20:49], [34:24 – 35:54], [54:32 – 56:00]
Gyro Debate:
Greg reads a text from Sisqo (yes, that Sisqo), "the Dragon aka Thong Song," lamenting the lack of gyro aiming in Soros.
Quote:
"I’d love for that (gyro) to be standardized — honestly, every controller should just have it at this point..." — Blessing [15:59]
Touchpad & Trackpad Debates:
Mike in chat claims trackpads are unnecessary; Blessing counters that even if rarely used, those 5% moments can be meaningful—especially in PC/Windows scenarios.
[48:08 – 54:30]
Layoffs Recap:
Insider Gaming reports Visual Concepts’ WWE 2K teams have been hit hardest, especially post-Netflix edition of WWE 2K25.
“Leadership lied the whole time saying the game was fine…” [50:35]

[55:19 – 60:32]
Fitness Banter, Intros [01:10 – 05:10]:
Blessing and Roger joke about upcoming “content” at a field-day style birthday party, the risks of gathering “nerd-adjacent people” for sports, and their personal flexibility goals:
"One of my yearly goals is to do the splits. I'm not gonna get there... Quarterly, I’m trying to get more limber." — Blessing
Debating Controller Gimmicks [16:44]:
"The DualSense touchpad — fucking get it off this thing...get the lights off. Why does this thing die in 4 hours?" — Roger

The mix of news, humor, and live interaction make it both an informative and entertaining listen.
"This just feels like a regular controller with extra stuff until they fix the build quality. Give me something that lasts." – Roger [12:56]
"Do 95% of people use the trackpad? No. But that 5% might, and that’s enough reason to keep it sometimes." – Blessing [19:28]
"Early Access survival games are like the new digital hangout. I just wish I clicked with them!" – Blessing [38:13]
"At what point do you lose Marathon's entire identity in chasing more players? But also maybe that's what you gotta do." – Blessing [45:40]
"I literally forgot WWE 2K25 came out. If you skip a couple years, it's a WAY bigger deal when you return." – Blessing [53:07]
End of Summary.
