We'll have all this and more because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily. What's up? And welcome to Kind of Funny Games daily for Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Of course. I'm your host, Tim Gettys. I'm joined today by Blessing Adoh Junior. Bless. How are you?
Blessing Adoh Junior
I'm doing well. I love your hair today.
Tim Gettys
Thank you.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Hair is looking fantastic.
Tim Gettys
Thank you. Got a haircut. It was the longest I went without a haircut since COVID times.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh.
Tim Gettys
Back when it was just, you know, everything everyone was, you let it go. It was just, I've been busy. I've been so busy. And I'd look in the mirror every day, be like, I hate you. I hate this man that's looking back at me. But now looking like, yeah, what's up? Yeah, look at that. Look at that. At that. Sad.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't know if watched or listen to content in the last couple of days. It's not been kind to you.
Tim Gettys
I'm sure. It hasn't been kind to me specifically like talking about this.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, yeah. Well, you know, Dragon, Nick, and then everybody in the chat just being like, what's going on here?
Tim Gettys
Now here's the thing that I got to be be honest with looking at that guy, I'm like, I don't think he's that bad looking.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't think he's that bad.
Tim Gettys
I think there's something going on there. It's not my preferred look, obviously.
Barrett Courtney
I think it's just the. The hat and hair combo, you know?
Tim Gettys
But see, I think that I like that. I feel like it's just because I don't often wear hats, that I wear a hat. No matter how I wear the hat, I'm wearing the hat wrong. I get that judgment. I'm not saying that they're wrong. I do have a big head.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Found out that my. That Gia's sister's boyfriend has a really small head this weekend. That mean we're at Gia's mom's birthday this weekend, so I had to miss all the fun stuff like the Pokemon presents and everything.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Y' all went to watch Fantastic Four without me. Like, I am such a sad little boy here.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And yeah, I found out that he has a very small head. Like, you know how the.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Like you were seeing him in person for the first time.
Tim Gettys
Well, I've seen him a million times. But like, it's like there's the fitted hats.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
You know, and it's like we were always talking about like my brother's off the charts. Like, my brother needs to get like custom hats because his head's too big.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Because normally it's like the hats go from like 7 to 8 inches with all the little like increments in between. Right. So I'm seven, five, eight, which is like, if you're. I'd say seven and a quarter and seven and a half are like the most common. Right. What are you? Do you know what you are?
Blessing Adoh Junior
No idea what I am.
Tim Gettys
7, 5, 8, which is just like, you know, it's a little uncommon, but it's on the bigger side. But it's nothing crazy. My brother's eight plus. Oh. Found out that my homie here under seven.
Blessing Adoh Junior
No.
Tim Gettys
Six and three fourths.
Blessing Adoh Junior
No.
Tim Gettys
And like, it was hard not to laugh at that. And I'm like, first off, not his fault. Second off, not a problem.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Is he an overall small man or like.
Tim Gettys
No. I mean, yeah, well, he's. He is a fit, normal sized man.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Okay.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
So then like, what's the shape of his head? Is it like.
Tim Gettys
I would have never anything of it. You know what I mean? He's. I guess he's an oval shaped guy face. Okay, dude.
Blessing Adoh Junior
All right. So you put a hat on his head. You just spin that thing around. It's like if.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Normal hat. Yeah. But he needs to wear his tiny little hats. Do you know what your size is for fitted?
Barrett Courtney
No, I've never thought about hat sizes.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Who do you. I've never also thought about.
Barrett Courtney
And like, I'm the guy who wears hats. I just, I don't. I just buy a hat.
Blessing Adoh Junior
You were Hess God.
Tim Gettys
So you joke, but that actually was.
Blessing Adoh Junior
A thing that like was a revelation.
Barrett Courtney
To you at one point after working with me for like four years.
Tim Gettys
That is so funny.
Blessing Adoh Junior
You know me, I'm just at my desk. I'm just doing my thing.
Tim Gettys
I will say I missed out on a lot of content this week and I'm upset about that.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Did you watch the Pokemon present?
Tim Gettys
I watched Yalls reaction to the Pokemon presents which was super fun.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I rarely get that opportunity to. To watch a kind of funny games reaction to a game showcase because I'm normally on them. Y' all did great. I loved it. It was very, very funny. Very informative. But more than anything, I'm so aligned with you. Like everything you said, I'm like, oh, I'm right Right there with bless and like specifically seeing champions and being like a little let down.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Now the one thing that I did wish I was at the desk to talk to you about and now I can write those sins, bless, correct those sins, write to those wrongs, is you talking about wanting to just rent the Pokemon and that this seems overly complicated and stuff. I think you're still going to be able to rent the Pokemon. But the thing that's being complicated is it's just matching the core games. So now the core games experience that people have been like fighting for, training these little for 30 years. 30 plus years. That's not 30 plus years. 30 years for Pokemon next year.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, is it really just the 30th? Oh, 19.
Tim Gettys
Next year's 30.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Wow.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, yeah. But like this is great. Like this is them actually giving them the full tool set. Like do the IV training and all that stuff in one place on mobile as well.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I just hope it's good. Like I hope that aspect is fun. Right. Like I'm down for people being able to like mess with stats and like have that true Pokemon experience on a more competitive place. But I just look, I just looked at what they showed there and I'm like this, this looks like it's going to be more basic.
Tim Gettys
I'm most let down by the animations and stuff. Like I feel like if you're going to go harder with the like presentation of this being a arena battle game, it's like let's, let's have this look good. But I also understand that there's now over a thousand of these little shits.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
So. But also that's not my problem. Let me tell you.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I, I, last year I'm, I know I talked about this. Right. But I booted up Pokemon Stadium 2 and went through Gym Leader Castle just for the of it. And I'm to this day still impressed by the visuals of Pokemon Stadium 2.
Tim Gettys
Great stuff.
Blessing Adoh Junior
The sound, the announcer, the amount of different animations, how good all the Pokemon look, how good the arenas look. Like the variety of arenas in that game. I. Pokemon Stadium 2. I know Pokemon Stadium 2 gets love. I'm going throw way more love on Pokemon City 2 as much as I can. Cuz that shit's fire. Now I know it's not the core Pokemon experience that people want and like they tried that a little bit with the GameCube stuff and I didn't play much of the GameCube stuff.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Blessing Adoh Junior
But I don't know man, there's something special.
Tim Gettys
It was the core Experience gold and silver there. The experience was a little different back then because it was a lot more limited. When you're not getting the like triple battles, you're not getting a lot of. I guess they did have the special.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Well, I'm thinking of like normal attack rpg. Like gamecube gave us like G of darkness.
Tim Gettys
I feel what you're saying. Yeah. Cuz the Wii one was Battle Revolution which was just another ST stadium.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Like I know. And like dude, I. I got Battle Revolution, was excited to play it right. And was like, oh man, this shit's about to this Pokemon stadium again. And then I realized with that one, like you really have to have your own Pokemon. Like they don't. I don't think they even had. They don't. I think they had like a very limited amount of rental Pokemon. It wasn't like stadium where like any Pokemon you want you can straight up use. That's what I want. And put some mini games in there.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Overall though, the presents yesterday kind of whatever. Yeah. But then we got next year's though. February, it will be the 30th anniversary. I'm expecting Gen 10. I'm expecting. Oh man. Finally the old games ported. You know at some point how it has to come out at some point Pokemon Red and Blue has to come back. But everyone, today's not that day. Today is the day that we're talking about video games. Blessing Adoh Junior
Exciting one.
Tim Gettys
It's exciting. Are those games hidden? I want to know. Yeah, we'll find out after this and then after games Cast is going to be Magic the Gathering Commander with Mike Bless and some special guests.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, I'm so. I mean I can say the guests are right. You're getting Jake Decker from Gamespot and my friend Meg and I'm excited. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Meg is like hardcore loves Magic the Gathering got into it probably around the same time, maybe a little bit earlier than I did. But, like, her partner loves magic and really put her on. And so now she's, like, on another level now. So I play with her all the time. It's gonna be a fun time.
Tim Gettys
That's awesome. If you're a kind of funny member. Today's Greg Way is 18 minutes of Greg scheming on how to review Pokemon Z. Can I have nothing nice in life? You know what he posted this morning? I didn't see what he posted this morning, but I did hear him talking a lot of yesterday, the Pokemon presents. What did he post this morning?
Blessing Adoh Junior
He posted a screenshot of him listening to the Pokemon to be a Master soundtrack. Okay, so you want to be a master. Apparently.
Tim Gettys
Just a Tuesday for me.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, yeah, he's coming for you. Look at here. He's listening to the Pokemon.
Tim Gettys
Just the theme he's calling himself. Yeah, he's been saying that because he's the. The Pokemon. I. I don't know which. I'm trying to make a point.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I feel like Monstar would have been a better way to go. Mon Mothra, I feel like, doesn't have enough.
Tim Gettys
Mon Mothra's not getting enough love this Emmy season, you know what I mean? So any way we can get her word, her name in our mouths. Feels good, right, Barrett?
Barrett Courtney
Yep.
Tim Gettys
Yep. I thought you're gonna be a little more hyped on that. What's going on, Barry?
Barrett Courtney
Okay, I had nothing to add to that cover.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Barry didn't watch Mon Mothra, apparently. What movie was Mon Mothra in?
Tim Gettys
The Monmouth is from. She was in Andor recently.
Barrett Courtney
Yeah, Andor.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, she was great. What am I thinking of? What's the big.
Tim Gettys
Well, you're thinking about Mothra.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Mothra. That's what I'm thinking.
Tim Gettys
You know, I wonder why you think that. I hate it here. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, and Delaney. The Psalm Twining. Today we're brought to you by Mood and Factor, but we'll tell you about that later. We're now spring with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. It's time for some news. You have seven stories today. Becker's Dozen.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Hold on. So there's. There's Mon. There's Mothra.
Tim Gettys
Yes.
Blessing Adoh Junior
And then there's Mon Mothma, and then there's Greg. So Mon Mothma is the Star wars character.
Tim Gettys
Yes.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Mothra is the big, like, flying moth from King Kong. Godzilla.
Tim Gettys
Both Godzilla. Cross Kong. The New Empire.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Thank you okay?
Tim Gettys
Story number one. Microsoft has reverse plans to charge $80 for the outer Worlds too. This comes from andy Robinson at VGC. Microsoft has reversed its plans for its next big RPG to be priced at $80 when the Obsidian sequel releases on October 29th. It'll now cost $70, Microsoft announced on Wednesday. Last month, Xbox had said Outer Worlds 2 would be its first $80 title as part of a broader increase in game prices. An Xbox spokesperson said, we're focused on bringing players incredible worlds to explore and we'll keep our full priced holiday releases, including Outer Worlds 2 at $70 in line with current market conditions. Bless.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I didn't include it in this article, but there is also a statement from the Outer Worlds to like social media accounts where they were speaking in like the world of outer worlds too. Of like a. A message from. I believe it was like either Auntie's choice or like one of the corporate things. Or maybe it was just like a general corporate statement of like being like, you know, we have heard your pleas or whatever and like the voice of Outer Worlds too. And it felt very cringe to me. I didn't really like it as I was reading it. Like, I get what they're trying to do, right? They're trying to be fun with it. But like, this is a good choice. Like, thank God that this is happening. It's. I. Why do you think this is happening?
Tim Gettys
That's my thing is I don't know how good this is in the sense of like, all they're listening.
Blessing Adoh Junior
My read is all pre orders are down, down.
Tim Gettys
And that's my thing because this news very much surprises me. I thought that this was not gonna happen at all because it does seem kind of like you can't put the genie even back in the bottle type situation. I. My read on it is pre orders were so bad for them that they're like, we gotta do something.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And like that's not great. But it does show that they'll take action when things are looking dire. Maybe we're wrong. There is a chance that there was somebody just looking at things and being like, hey, with where the economy is like, we should probably not put games out at 80. I just don't know. I just don't believe that. I just don't believe.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I think. I think there is the balance of fan outcry and fan fans being upset. Right? How you balance that bad PR with what might not be what you want out of the pre orders, right. Like, I think both can be true to varying extents. I'LL probably lean way more on, like, just the pre orders not being there. As far as why they do this, because I think the problem. The $80 thing for video games, right? Like, I think getting that jump from 60 being the standard to 70 being the standard to now trying to reach to the 80, I think it's happening too quick in a way that is not digestible for the audience to where now it's like, oh, like, okay, that is a. That's a big jump. I don't. I'm only gonna pay that for, like, the games that I think, you know, are either worth it or a game that I'm like, oh, I gotta have this. I think Mario Kart World can get away with it because it's Mario Kart World and it's the launch title for the Switch and it's one of the best sell. It's coming from one of the best selling franchises in video games.
Tim Gettys
And that's. I think the bigger problem right now is we don't have any evidence so far that people will not buy games at $80, because so far the $80 game, Mario Kart World, has sold very well.
Blessing Adoh Junior
But I think Outer Worlds, too, is an example of a game where I.
Tim Gettys
Don'T think it was.
Blessing Adoh Junior
You told me that. I mean, I think we were shocked on our reactions, right? Of like, oh, $80. That's kind of crazy, right? Like, out of worlds one, outer worlds one doesn't feel that vast in terms of scope and all that stuff, right? And correct me, chat. That came out. I assume that came out at $60. I think I played that on Game Pass. But that strikes me as a game where it's like, well, I'm gonna pay the $60 because I believe in this type of game. I love Obsidian as a studio, right? Like, I want a Fallout type of experience. And, like, Outer Worlds looks neat, cool. I'll show up for it. Even though, like, guess What? Skyrim is $60. Fallout is $60. These big open world RPGs are $60. But Outer Worlds is something a bit more, like, focused and a bit more condensed. Yeah. Like, I'll show up to that for $60. I don't think. Even if Outer Worlds 2 is way bigger, I don't think it's. It's a really tough sell for your audience who's already been conditioned by what Outer Worlds 1 is to go, oh, I'm gonna pay $80 for outer.
Tim Gettys
It's absolutely the fact that I couldn't.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Tell you right now if for sure Outer Worlds 1 was a 60 game or not should speak Volume Chat was.
Barrett Courtney
Saying that or speculating that it was 50 at launch.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, was it 50?
Barrett Courtney
Which I have not seen concrete evidence of that yet.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Either way, right?
Tim Gettys
First one launched at 60 chat saying launches 60. Either way, I'm with. I'm with that. Right? Where it's like the. This game is being pushed as a game pass game. Like, then not all games get that kind of like real mega, like get it on game pass. You could also buy it on other ways. Like, you can do that for most or for all Xbox first party games, but certain games get pushed differently. And I feel like Outer Worlds is one of those ones that we look at that's like, oh, it's awesome. It's on game pass because so many people are going to get to play it. And you put the $80 price tag and you're just like, no one's buying that for $80. Like, yeah, you just know, right? And the Nintendo side of the conversation is completely irrelevant to this, I think because of what we're talking about, like, new console launch. But I'm still hung up on the fact that Donkey Kong Bonanza is $10 cheaper than Mario Kart World.
Blessing Adoh Junior
But I think that is relative, right? Like, I think if this was. If this was The Elder Scrolls 6, yeah. I think you could get away with charging $80 for it. I think people will be mad, but people are still buying that for $80. I just think Outer Worlds 2 just isn't.
Tim Gettys
It's not.
Blessing Adoh Junior
You're just not on that level.
Tim Gettys
But they were trying to make it be the standard for all the titles, and now it sounds like they're not doing it for any of their holiday titles. Yeah. So what is out of the big ones that we even know about? I mean, Call of Duty, the one that you're like, oh, yeah, that being $80 wouldn't surprise me whatsoever. But they're saying it's not going to be, which is.
Blessing Adoh Junior
That surprises me. I think that's the one where I. I think Call of Duty, we probably could have gotten away with charging $80 for that. But like, I think there's a couple of things. One, maybe reading the tea leaves for Outer Worlds two has really informed Xbox Microsoft, as far as like, okay, we can't do this yet. Like, we might not have the stuff to put ourselves our games at $80. It even maybe a Call of Duty. But then also, oh man, Call of Duty pre orders aren't up yet, right? They're not open yet. I can't imagine I. I don't. And so they're not reading those tea leaves. So yeah, I won. I wonder if it's a thing of like, fuck, these pre orders were so bad for Outer Worlds too, that we're just saying no.
Tim Gettys
Well, I mean it is interesting, right, that right now the. And help me out here where, where I get anything wrong. The only three games officially that were announced at $80, Mario Kart World, Borderlands.
Blessing Adoh Junior
4 and Borderlands 4 wasn't announced at $80.
Tim Gettys
Oh well, it was just rumored that it was going to be and then.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, Ryan, Randy Pisher gave a bad. People think it was.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, okay, gotcha, gotcha. Because yeah, I was about to say like, so far Marker World's been the only one that's like stuck with it, whereas the others have either pulled back or that wasn't the plan to begin with.
Barrett Courtney
So yeah, I think the other aspect that I find interesting in this is also the Game Pass of it all that you mentioned earlier. Because I think with it being 80 originally, a lot of people are saying, well now that makes, you know, like Game Pass more kind of like enticing to get this title. And if that, if that's like another main avenue for them, like, how do you even measure what the interest of a game is going to be on Game Pass for people, for new people to come in and subscribe and stuff like that. And like, I do wonder where that calculation was when they originally priced this game at 80. Of like how they measure that pre launch, you know, it's just like an interesting thought I had.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, exactly. But again, I don't think it has anything to do with this game. I think it has to do with this holiday and the timing. And I think that this game is just unfortunately the first in line. It reminds me a lot of when they first launched Game Pass and it was like, oh man, every first party title is going to be available day one. And it's like, oh man, that's going to be crazy for Gears. And it was like, oh, here's Crackdown three. You know what I mean? It's like I feel like they have these initiatives and plans and it's kind of just time to go whenever it's time to go, regardless of if they have the lineup to support that strategy. And I think that right now this is an example, like I would be shocked if anybody working on Outer Worlds too is like, this game should be 80. That's the right call right now.
Blessing Adoh Junior
1,000%. Yeah, I think this is like, I think it's Just ripping the Bandit off too early on this. Right. With the wrong title. I, I like I, I think it's hard, it's tough to think of what is the right. What is the game that they'll do it with. Because obviously they wanted to do this now this fall was the time to go. Right. But like that's just not working. I think that was to the detriment of this game. In games that are of like a similar scope, you need a big title to do this with. Maybe that could have been Fable. Like maybe Fable is that like big, you know, highly scoped title, nobody dollar.
Tim Gettys
Game still 2027 then.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean maybe, I mean yeah, considering what the conversation is there. Or like maybe a Perfect Dark A game that got canceled.
Tim Gettys
Maybe a Wonder Woman.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Maybe a Wonder Woman. Maybe a again, maybe an Elder Scrolls 6. A game that feels like it's still years and years away. Right. Like I think this is a band aid they want to pull off. But the, the Wounds is not in a place yet where they can like peel it off and have people go, oh shit, well I'm going to buy this thing. Right? Like to the, to the game pass conversation. I still think even with that there is a balance. Like there are those, those numbers that Microsoft looks at and goes all right, we expect to do this for Game Pass, but also we still expect to do this many for sales. Especially when you're releasing things on other platforms.
Tim Gettys
Exactly.
Blessing Adoh Junior
And so I'm sure they're looking at those PlayStation pre orders as well and going shit, well we need this to slow. The whole point of going multi platform is so we can still make these game sales on PlayStation and subsidize the whole cost of all this shit.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
And so if those aren't looking pretty, that's tough.
Tim Gettys
It is tough. Yeah. I definitely, I mean, hey, this is good news that the price is dropping, but I do not think it's necessarily good news for the health and viability of these games being released the way that they are. So we'll see how this all shakes out. Moving on though, to story number two. Splitgate developer 1047 Games announces layoffs, Shuts Down Original game this comes from Edmund Tran at this Week in video games, Splitgate 2 developer 1047 Games has announced that it will lay off an undisclosed number of workers amidst a significant shift in the studio's offerings. In the In a lengthy post On Twitter, co CEOs Ian and Nicholas said they would reduce certain roles and shift our resources as the studio shut down servers for the original Splitgate and pull Splitgate 2 back to a beta state. Released in June 2025, 1047 says it released the free to play Split 2 too early. Split Gate 2 too early. We bit off more than we could chew, reads the statement. We rushed certain features, made some boneheaded mistakes, and most importantly, we didn't give you the polished, portal filled mayhem you fell in love with. 10:47 says the game will remain playable, but it will begin rebuilding major parts of the game while involving its community in more play tests. Regarding the shutdown of the original split gate, 1047 said keeping the title afloat was costing hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past couple years and that he wanted to prioritize staff. The studio previously laid off developers in June 2025 following the launch of Splitgate 2. So that was last month.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. God damn. This is one of those things where it's like, this is why you don't talk shit. This is why, you know, not that like I don't think the fucking hat wearing on stage is a thing that leads to this, but it definitely adds salt when your game, when you're presenting your game as something that's going to save the genre, as something that's going to like, oh man, FPS games, they aren't what they need to be. Like we're going to make them great again. Like we're here to save it, to do all this shit, right? Like a lot things that people would view as pretentious, you do that and then this happens the next month. Like that's why you don't do that, because you're going to look like an asshole when things are all said and done.
Tim Gettys
It's a game of sentiment, right? And I feel like now more than ever when you're talking about these games that don't have the inherent built in audience, the Call of Duty's, Fortnite's, etc. Etc. Roblox, all that stuff, right? Where it's just like they know that they got it and they're good because they have it and are sustaining it. When you were trying to enter the field, especially in a old school niche genre to some extent of like arena shooters, right, you need as much wins as you can possibly get to kind of build the narrative that you're worth a damn, that your game is worth playing, it's worth investing in what's worth paying for with your money and your time and the more chip damage you get of mistakes, that sentiment starts to go down. And I feel like when you have Blunders like the summer game fest situation that just gets more eyes on your thing that are critical and wanting to hate on your product, right?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, yeah.
Tim Gettys
And then when your product has things that are worth hating on, when you're getting these bad headlines over and over, the public sentiment overall is it's never been lower for splitgate. And that sucks. Which sucks, because great game. Great game, super fun.
Blessing Adoh Junior
We, me, Andy and Mike had a really fun time playing the split gate 2 beta that we did like, last fall. And even before that, like, we played so much Splitgate one, right? Like, that was the. The, like, summer before Halo Infinite came out. And like, it was shocking to be playing a game that felt so true. Or at least, like, felt fun in trying to do the Halo thing with a twist with the, with the portals and stuff, right? And, like, that was such a fun time. Like, we would. We were Splitgate evangelists and I was ready to, like, for Splitgate 2 to, you know, at least root for it, at least be like, yo, hey, this is a game that I want to see win. And like, not that I don't want to see this game win still. Right.
Tim Gettys
Like, but everything is tinged with this, like. Like, you almost always want to make the joke. And sure. That is us in our bubble, the type of games media that we are. Right. And the type of chat that we have, we all watch this thing together, so we have this shared experience surrounding the game that is easy to dunk on. Right. But I feel like that gets in the way of wanting to support these games, wanting to support these, like, smaller ideas that again, need communities to be viable or else you're wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on servers where people aren't playing.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. Which brings me back to the Split Gate one conversation. Like, this is. I go back and forth with the whole, like, games shutting down thing where I think it's objectively bad. Like, I hate that video games shut down, that things end up being in a place where it's like, cool, I can never play this thing again. I understand servers, I understand costs, but also I don't understand servers and I don't understand costs in a way where I, like, I. I have the question of how much money is spent on the Splitgate one servers. You know what I mean? Like, like, I know it's. This is a question for people hundreds.
Tim Gettys
Of thousands over the last couple years.
Blessing Adoh Junior
That seems there's a cost. Money, man costs money. And I understand there's bounds to it that I totally don't understand. But, like, I don't know, it just saddens me to see a thing go away. A thing that, like, we had so much fun with and now, like the new thing is kind of struggling. Right? Struggle. But so it's like, okay, cool. Now I just don't really have a split gate.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Which sucks.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, man. It's. It's again, tough times out there and it's like, I feel like you, you got to really, really, really make sure that you're making the right steps because, like taking the hat and all stuff out of the conversation, like the, the money's not coming in to support the game, even here where it's like they need more money coming in to even be able to pay for the service for people to play on to make more money. That sounds like foundationally there's a crack that needs to be fixed. And that's hard. That's the whole challenge of this entire business. Right. Is like finding the equation that actually works. And it's so rare these days that teams of this size can figure that equation out long term, you know, and that, that's, you know, you look at so many similar things, like Iron Galaxy with Rumble verse. Yeah. Right. It's like, I think a fairly similar story, different game genre, different whatever, but like, I'd imagine similar sized teams.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. I mean, and like, I mean, we've had this multiple times the last few years. Few years. Like, I look at A Knockout City being an example of like, great game and they, they pulled lovers, they tried different things, they went free to play, they went into independent, they did all these things and at the end of the day, like, they just had to call it after a while and be like, all right, we're moving on to our next thing. And. Well, I forget what the game is called, but it was like the shooter that just came out where like, it's dark and all that shit chat. Remind me what that, what that game is called. But like, that looks like it has a lot of potential, right. Because it's a new idea. It's capitalizing off of trends that are happening today. As far as like the streamer type games and stuff that was like, you know, like first person shooter type shit. Right. Like stuff that seems like it could have a good audience. Yeah. Like, I look back at the stories of studios that couldn't make that dream thing happen or couldn't make a certain type of game happen. And like, I think too, as much of it is that as it is is, okay, well, we put out a great game. The real battle is building your studio as something that can maintain that great game and continue to see it forward for over the course of years. And that's where so many people fail.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
And like that's the shift that I want to see many studios figure out and make. And like, I think it's going to take a handful of small size studios, medium sized sized studios, to figure out what that formula looks like to then help influence all the other ones. Because I'm tired of seeing these dominoes over and over again of studio after studio being like, okay, we launched a great game, shut it down, pull it back into beta, shut the studio down. It happens way too much.

By the way, game I was thinking of Midnight Murder Club from Vellum Studios which fun fact published by PlayStation.
Tim Gettys
Really?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, as I looked on there on I looked on their steam, I looked on the PlayStation like they're published by PlayStation. Yeah, fascinating. And it's out in early access. Came out in March and Early Access. I don't think they're they're not in full release yet. But yeah, there's the context I was looking for.
Tim Gettys
Interesting story number three the Nintendo Switch 2 is the fastest selling gaming hardware in US history. This comes from Rebecca Valentine at IGN. The Nintendo Switch 2 debuted in June to becoming the fastest selling hardware ever in the US shooting spending on games to new monthly records. According to the monthly report from Circana, spending on hardware was up a whopping 249% year over year thanks to the console's debut, reaching $978 million and greatly surpassing the previous monthly record from June 2008 of 608 million. Damn, that's crazy. Yeah, from 608 to 978. In total, the Switch 2 sold 1.6 million units in the US during its launch month, beating PS4's previous sales record of 1.1 million in November of 2013. Unshockingly, it was the bestselling console of the month both in terms of units and dollar sales across both Nintendo Switch platforms. Switch to exclusive Mario Kart World was the best selling game of the month, Followed by Cyberpunk 2077 and Rune Factory Guardians of Xisuma, both of which launched alongside the new console. In fourth and fifth place respectively were Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild, followed by Street Fighter 6, Mario Kart 8.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I know, right?
Tim Gettys
Hogwarts Legacy bravely defaults remaster in Minecraft Because Nintendo doesn't share digital sales numbers with Circana, this chart may be missing some big sellers. For instance, we learned today that Delta Rune Top Switch 2 charts in digital sales in June. But with no physical edition and the game only costing 25, it's missing from the dollar sales ranking entirely.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh yeah. Let's go. Delta Rune.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Rune Factory. Huh? I didn't realize Rune Factory had it like that.
Tim Gettys
I didn't either. But I also think that when you look at this launch lineup, like none of this, besides that stands out as surprising to me because like obviously Mario Kart, Cyberpunk, those were the big physical games being pushed. Right. People like buying things with the new console, then that. That works with digital as well. They just want new things to play. The fact that both the Zelda titles were also launch titles, I feel like kind of diluted the. The launch lineup a bit in a way that like makes it simultaneously way less interesting than other console launches, but then also like giving us exactly what we actually want.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Which is those games to run better. So yeah, I'm not surprised by any of those things. Mario Kart 8 making the cut. Not surprising as well. That game is going to continue to sell and dominate. But yeah, the Rune Factory of it all. It's like, I wonder where the drop off is there because we're talking about Mario Kart followed by Cyberpunk. Like, is Roon Factory close to cyberpunk or do you think that there's like a pretty big drop?
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean, I couldn't tell. Rune Factory is such a franchise.
Tim Gettys
Just no understanding.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, I have no understanding of. So like Rune Factory could be one of those games that's just like selling in the ether and because Rune Factory is always around, like that's the thing is Rune Factory becomes white noise at a certain point because I always see the name Rune Factory. You know what I mean? Like, I'm looking through gaming news, I'm watching these showcases and Rune Factory just pops up and I'm like, oh, that's a Rune Factory. And then I move on with my life.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Secretly though, Rune Factory is out here raking in money.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
This is raking in the cash. Like, yeah, maybe it's. Maybe somebody in chat says big drop Rune Factory's niche. Like, I don't know, like maybe it's doing great. Maybe it's. Maybe it's just that the launch lineup was so thin. Yeah, that is pops up in that top three maybe.
Tim Gettys
But yeah, they're very interested in that for sure. And yeah, I'm interested to see like what the actual Nintendo number are going to be once they do their financial like quarterly reports breaking everything down that Will include the digital sales as well as physical and all of that. And also just like continuing to actually put out titles for the Switch. Like now that we are in a definitive post initial launch period, we're now in launch window. Right. And we have Donkey Kong Bonanza kind of bump that, you know, we got early sales numbers for this that were something. If I remember correctly, it was three times as much as Tropical Freeze but like half as much as Mario Odyssey. Oh, I didn't know something like that. I saw that yesterday somewhere. So anyway, like kind of like it's doing great but like it's also gonna be very interesting to see end of year like after word of mouth for the game and understanding of like what this Donkey Kong game is. Because it is a kind of not known factor at this point. Like I feel like it needs to be like a word of mouth of like, yo, it's the Mario team. Yeah, you know, it's like the more general consumer.
Blessing Adoh Junior
This is basically your Mario Odyssey sequel. I think that the positioning of it is the thing I'm even more interested in. You know, with Mario Kart World having such a strong attachment rate like and for Nintendo first party sales being all about the attachment rate that Nintendo first party titles have. Yeah. When you release your second big original first party like grand game and it's the first single player action adventure platformer that you know, people can get lost in or whatever. Right. Like I, I'm so fascinated by what that, how that factors into sales and like if that's enough to make this thing like skyrocket. Right. When you're looking at Switch sales being making up a number, right. Like 6 million, is DK Bonanza going to be 4 million or is it going to be more like 1 million? You know what I mean?
Tim Gettys
I do think the story of Bonanza is going to be a more uphill battle than we saw with some of the Switch 1 games. Just because of how unknown a quantity a 3D Donkey Kong platformer is. But I think that the Game of the Year awards that the multiple 10 out of 10 reviews and just the overall high on the game I think is going to over time. Like that game's going to continue to sell. Like I think that years from now Donkey Kongan is still going to be a game that we are talking about when Nintendo sales reports come up. I, I, I think that it and Mario Kart World are going to kind of mature with the system and continue to sell. And then yeah, we have Pokemon in just a couple months as well. Mario Party Jamboree seems to kind of have been kind of a miss. But like that's also just. I feel like their second pillar of games with the Switch 2 editions that they're going to be dropping. Obviously I'm way more excited for Kirby next month with the expanded for whatever the hell it's called Star Crossed World compared to the Jamboree TV or whatever the they're calling God.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Well, to bring in the. The Switch to hardware conversation, right. There was a quote in the article from Matt Piscatello that I like where they asked him what this means for Switch two sales. Right. And he says what the launch of what. What the launch sales of Switch to primarily tell us is that they made a lot of switch to switch 2s to sell at launch. Lifetime sales and launch sales of a console often do not correlate. Meaning that some consoles with small launches ended up doing incredibly well. Lifetime PS2 for example, only sold 400k in its launch month while others with big launches ended up not doing as well. Lifetime since launch month demand is rarely satiated by available supply and it is certainly not a great sign when it is. Historically all we can really get a read on at launch is the confidence of the manufacturer to make so many units available and the ability of the supply chain to. To get those units into market. But having the biggest launch month sales for any video game hardware platform is a hell of a good start. Right?
Tim Gettys
I mean. Yeah, exactly. Right. I do think that it's. It's way too early to tell like is if the Switch 2 is going to be able to maintain the momentum. I believe it's going to. I feel like there's in my opinion a very low likelihood that the switch 2 does not dominate over the next couple of years and continue to rise in success and sales. And a lot of that is just the sheer fact that we are starting to see the next wave of Nintendo games and they're. They're delivering these products now and we're about to get get follow ups and sequels to so many different games and teams that we've cared about from the Switch generation. And the timing just adds up. Having said that, it is interesting that it doesn't seem like we're Gonna get a 3D Mario for a while. 2D Mario like wonder wasn't that long ago we just got the Donkey Kong Bonanza and Mario Kart World. We have a Pokemon not core generational game but like Legends. I do think they're. They're seeing as a core title to an extent. But then it's like, what do you follow that up with? Like, we have Metroid Prime 4 and I'm not complaining at all. This is an insane lineup. Like the fact that we are still due to get Metroid Prime 4 this year and there's no reason to expect that game's not going to fucking bang, right? Will it sell hella well, probably not. Will it sell better than any other Metroid game in history? I would think so. Just because of sheer marketing excitement of wanting to play on a new system and the fact that it's also on Switch one.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And I also don't think there's that many Metroid games that it would need to topple to get those accolades. But how do you keep that momentum going? How do you keep people buying the system for years to come? And to me the answer is third party support. And I am incredibly shocked at how dire that seems compared to how bullish I was pre launch of the Switch to. Do you agree with that?
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean, I think the only part where I don't disagree, but I'm just curious about is if the answer is third party support. Because that's never been the case for Nintendo as far as what brings people to the console. But I'm with you as far as like how you get there because yeah, like the last few years we've seen Nintendo put out releases that like would be the things that would theoretically like, I know I don't want to jump too far ahead, right? But the Jane Bry TV review roundup is later in the show and in reading the reviews specifically Logan plans review from ign it seems like that version of the game feels tacked on in a way where I don't understand why you didn't just hold jamboree and like lump in the jamboree TV stuff if you really wanted to sell the camera shit, right? And then like have that be a Switch to native game like in the way that, that you know, we kept Talking about the Four Horsemen of the Switch 1 Like you know, final year or whatever. This year almost feels still Horseman y in a weird way, right? Like of course we got Mario Kart, we got dk, we got Metroid and stuff. But there is the question of like, yo, how long is it going to be until the next 3D Mario? Like you mentioned, like we just got DK Menanes. Like it's hard for me to visualize what year two for the Switch 2 is going to look like. But at the same time I think for me, I think it's A and this is always the case for Nintendo. I think the generation is a marathon, not a sprint. Right. And so like, like if you can give me one or two titles a year that are like these are our money making titles. Like this year we got Mario Kart and then we got Bonanza, which I think they're trying to turn into a money maker. And I think that, I think they're probably gonna be successful in that if next year you can give me a, either a Animal Crossing, you know, or maybe a Zelda or like, you know, I a poke like a new gen of Pokemon. Like I think there are plenty of options there for Nintendo to over time give us that drip feed of big games over the next seven years that are inevitably going to bring people in. Because they always bring people in.
Tim Gettys
I think on top of that. So I, I'm saying the third party stuff in terms of like how to in 2025, with this being the second generation of this Nintendo console, how for them to maintain the pace of the absolutely astronomical success of the Switch one. Yeah, I feel like that that would be the difference maker just peppering even more releases and getting more people playing. As I think the popularity of, of PC handhelds are rising, I feel like it all just goes back to people want to be able to play their games handheld.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Right.
Tim Gettys
And being able to play it on the console if they want. But I do think that like those are all different audiences that Nintendo can tap into and serve. I do think that the Switch 2 editions is so fascinating because it's functioning in a way that none of us would have expected. Like none of us could have called this a year ago and we were like predicting how Nintendo was going to handle Switch 1 games playing on Switch 2. Right. The fact that they're essentially re releasing these games with some form of DLC or some form of extra mode is so Nintendo. It makes so much sense. But now that we're actually seeing it in practice, it's like, all right, cool. They launched with both Zeldas. I was surprised by that.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
We now are at the point we have Mario Party which does seem kind of like we'll get to it in a second, but like a misstep. Right?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I'm excited for Kirby. I feel like that that's going to be great no matter what it ends up being. Pokemon, Zaw and Metroid prime are just launching. So I don't think the Switch 2 Edition needs a different mode. It's just, you know, a different skew of a brand new game. But the fact that there are heavy hitters like Smash and Animal Crossing remaining for next year, for the next wave, it's like they're going to pad things out with that. And that is going to be exciting for people. They're like, I'm not saying it's going to be exciting for every single person, but that second round of people that are like, I didn't buy a Switch 2 because there wasn't. I was waiting for more games to come out and I didn't want Mario Kart World, whatever. When they're like, hey, there's an animal crossing update, they're like, well, now's the time I'm gonna jump in, you know, and that's gonna get a lot of people. And I imagine that's next year.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, I mean, I'm. I think I lean more towards just a straight up new animal crossing. Like, I know the theory is that, like, you know what, they didn't do anything for this current one, but I do wonder how much of that is. Hey, we got another one around the corner. And then also we want our animal crossing team to focus all the way on. On a new animal crossing because, like, that's going to be the thing. Like, that's going to be something that's going to move units and keep people in.
Tim Gettys
I don't think we get through the Switch to generation without both. Like, I think that we're going to get a major animal crossing, but I. Nintendo would be stupid to not double dip on new horizons. Like, that's just like the sheer numbers, man. Like, that's just printing money. Barrett.
Barrett Courtney
I feel like to me, just, I'm more leaning towards like a blessing of. I think more immediate is a new one. Just because I feel like that should have been announced by now, you know, because I feel like there's a feeling in the air that an animal crossing, a new animal crossing is coming either next year, 2027. And I just, I don't know, I feel like that's something you would announce at launch to get those people in already, you know?
Tim Gettys
Yeah, but I mean, to my point though, of like, they didn't need them because they had Mario Kart.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Well, I'm not, not launching with it.
Barrett Courtney
But like, at least like announcing that it's happening.
Tim Gettys
I mean, there's still the rumored direct for July and like, honestly, I, I expect to get. If the next Nintendo director we get, I imagine we're going to have some answers of the next lineup of Switch 2 editions, right?
Blessing Adoh Junior
God, give me a smash Ultimate Plus.
Tim Gettys
Dude, I feel like there's. I really think that the likelihood of Smash and Animal Crossing, it's very high. Like the fact that those games do not have. If they had the 4k patches or like just the, you know, the whatever patches, it'd be a different story. But they don't. That's weird.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. To. Not to linger on this conversation too long but to your third party thing, I think a thing that's not to be overlooked is them partnering up with FromSoftware to do dusk Bloods, which is huge. Like I think those are the things that could be very needle moving as far as how they work with. With the. With third party. Because from soft the fact that as Nintendo you're able to get a from software exclusive game. Like I understand it's multiplayer. Understand this is a different thing but post eldering Night Rain, it's like, oh wait, multiplayer actually does work for FromSoftware. It turns out like, turns out that studio is just like extremely talented and can make anything into magic. I would be. I would love to see Nintendo do that more. I would love to see Nintendo do like a, A Larian rpg. You know what I mean? Like a Baldur's Gate type situation. But it's exclusive to Switch. Like what are the big developers that we can look at to go to help fill in more exclusives but you know.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Be able to up our numbers as far as what we can put out.
Tim Gettys
My side is not even on the exclusive side. It's just get the big third party games. Them getting Final Fantasy 7 Remake is going to be huge for them. Like I, I predict that that game is going to sell very well on the Switch too because that is going to be. I'm sure that there is a huge amount of Nintendo Switch players that don't own the other consoles. I know many of them and I know that they would love to play Final Fantasy but they can't and now they can. There's certain games that just fit in the Nintendo ecosystem that they've been deprived of for a very long time and hopefully that'll start to open up and we know it's going to. With Elden Ring and yeah, Final Fantasy in the chat it went away. But Hades 2 is another big one. I think it's a horrible idea, but it is.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. And like that's. I think that will move units for them. Right. Like I think the only part where I split off from you is that like I think for The Final Fantasy 7 example, I think that's going to sell well. But I think it's going to be the people that already own switches that are. That are going to buy it. But I think if you want to move units, you have to have the exclusive stuff. For sure.
Tim Gettys
For sure.
Barrett Courtney
Tim, real quick, just a quick question. Do you think gen 10 is switched to exclusive for Pokemon?
Tim Gettys
I do.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, yeah. They're having this conversation yesterday.
Tim Gettys
I think it is.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I also think it is.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. We have. We had two full gens on Switch one, and then like three was like the two Legends. That's four core games.
Barrett Courtney
Pokemon. Let's go.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Don't forget.
Barrett Courtney
Let's go.
Tim Gettys
That's right. Yeah. No, dude, definitely. Yeah. It'll be. It'll be Switch to exclusive. And that'll be.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I'll be surprised. Yeah. If we get gen 10, especially if it's. Depending on how far away it is, let's say, I'm guessing next year.
Tim Gettys
I mean, Gen 10. I. Again, this is something that I'd bet so much money on just because we have so much history that shows that this would be the pattern. February will be their Pokemon presents. It'll be the actual day, 30th anniversary of Pokemon.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
They're gonna announce Gen 10. It'll be in later November.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Right. Like, I think that that's going to be the. The ride.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I'll put it. I'll put it at 80%. That is going to be exclusive. There's like that 22.
Tim Gettys
Right. Because it is Nintendo. It is Pokemon. They do want to just make money. The fact that Champions exists and like, that's how it looks. It is very much in that switch one art style.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I don't know that gen 10 is going to be dramatically different. Although, stick with me here, everybody. I wasn't here yesterday. This is getting a little crazy. All right.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And like, anytime I start getting crazy about Pokemon company, it's just like, why would I do that? Why would I even put this out into the world? But I do think it's a little interesting that after all these years, they're finally doing Champions, which is the core battle, hardcore VGC side of it. On Mobile and Pokemon Home, you're actually using all the Pokemon, using your four moves that the classic Pokemon battles that we've known for 30 years.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Then you see Pokemon Legends are. And the battle system is the same, but just a little different. There's a little bit more movement and placement that matters more. Like the anime. Interesting. You look back at Legends Arceus, and it's like, all right, cool. They have the strong style and Defense style or whatever. They're trying different things with the battle system. It's the same battle system, but little tweaks, you know, that you wouldn't be able to directly apply to Champions, which is the core game. What if they're moving on from Gen 10? Like, what if Champions is coming out at this time? Because it is kind of like, hey, this will be the way to play with the old school type of system of combat. Going to the past and Gen 10 going forward is going to be something.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, I hope not.
Tim Gettys
Something new.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't want that. I don't want something new. I don't want it. Keep it. Keep it. I don't want it. Just give it. Make it traditional. Give me my four moves. Give it. Make it turn based. I want to use growl. I don't want to use Growl. What the Growl. Quick attack. I mean tackle.
Tim Gettys
All right.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Flamethrower. Fire. Blast. I won the game.
Barrett Courtney
I could.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't want that new. Keep that to Legends.
Barrett Courtney
I could see it, Tim.
Tim Gettys
I know.
Blessing Adoh Junior
No.
Barrett Courtney
Were there any learnings or anything changed from Legends Arceus that we saw in Scarlet and Violet?
Tim Gettys
Not in the battle system? Because yeah, that was more just the styles that we didn't have.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Everybody's booing me. Stop booing me.
Tim Gettys
I'm right. The thing is we've had so many gimmicks, right? Like every gen has some type of gimmick. We had Mega Evolution, we're coming back to that now with. With zaw. But we had the Z moves and we had the. The terraforming which like I didn't like, but like hardcore people into the actual competitive side, like are into that stuff.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I just feel like, like we're at a point now that it could be time to put the bow on the 1100 Pokemon. We have have to function this certain freaking way and like the baggage. But I also. I know I'm crazy saying that.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean it looks most. I think most of the chat look sounds like they agree with you. People seem to not be on my side.
Barrett Courtney
Well, especially because when we're seeing games like turn based games pop up stuff in certain ways that are doing something a little bit different. Like a Claire obscure like a.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Like you're naming these games that are at least hardcore.
Barrett Courtney
No, I know, I. I know. But they're also expanding. Like they're bringing in new people. Right. And I think. I think Tim's on to something of not doing, you know, active stuff like that where you're parrying in a Pokemon game or whatever. But doing something that feels active in a turn based kind of, kind of formula. I could see them playing around with that in a mainline game.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Barrett Courtney
To, to possibly bring in new people.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I think it's my. I, this is a total taste thing. I'm not, I'm not saying anybody's wrong in this. I just prefer strictly turn based than any sort of active thing. Like, that's just me for like JRPGs in general. Right. Like, let me take turns.
Barrett Courtney
Like, let me think about it.
Blessing Adoh Junior
If I'm in a menu, I don't want to see like a timer ticker ticking down and having me be like, all right, cool. Like, like I'm gonna do this before they do. Like even. Actually, no. I love Final Phase 7 remakes. That's a bad example, but that's like one of the fewer examples that I like it in. Yeah, yeah.
Barrett Courtney
Do you think it runs and looks better if it switched to exclusive?
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean, better. Yes.
Tim Gettys
We're going too long, like on this unfortunate. No, no, no, no, no. I just, I would. I want. I wish I had all the time in the world because yeah, of course I want to talk about this forever. Cuz like the thing with this is like, I, I'm with you, bless. Like, like, I'm not saying I necessarily want it, but I, I do want it for the sake of the preservation of Pokemon and to get away from the pitfalls of Scarlet and Violet. Like, I think that.
Blessing Adoh Junior
You don't think. You don't think Pokemon's battle system is timeless?
Tim Gettys
Well, the. I think that it's based on something that is so old that. And they've added so much to it with the amount of these goddamn Pokemon that we're just at a point now that I think we kind of need a refresh shake up to be able to have a better foundation so that the games can look better and run. Because right now it's like, I feel like there's a ceiling for how these games have to function. And look, we're never gonna get beautiful animations when we need to worry about animations for 1100 plus Pokemon, we just keep adding and adding and adding.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Wait, so what's your. Sorry, I don't know.
Tim Gettys
I don't know what the solution.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Are you saying like shave down on the amount or like, honestly. Because I could be down with that. That.
Tim Gettys
I think that's the move. Gen 5 did it black and white were like, hey, there's 150 new Pokemon. You're not seeing Pikachu. I don't mind that, you know, and I think that needs to be the move and it's gonna rub people the wrong way to an extent. But I also think that it would provide a new energy, like create a new jump on point. Have it be entirely new Pokemon and have it be a limited number of them, even if it's not entirely new.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Ah, man. The Pokemon fan base was getting. How does home.
Barrett Courtney
Can you bring. Does every game that connects at home, can you bring in Pokemon into that game? Or is it just they a hub.
Tim Gettys
They all. They. They start to open it up and allow more and more throughout a game's life in these modern ones. That's the whole exit thing that happened with Sword and shield where you couldn't have all the games on.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I forgot about Dex.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, dude. It's a whole thing, man. But it's again because I was, I.
Barrett Courtney
Was wondering if like, do we just move on from Pokemon home?
Tim Gettys
Move on from it? No, no, no. See that's the thing is Pokemon home needs to just continue as it is of just like. Yeah, that is the place that your decades of little partners, like it's hang out forever and play this game this way and seven savages. I don't need all 1100 Pokemon in the game. And it's like you say that but many other people, very loud people are like, we do. And that's what I'm saying. We're just getting to a point where that's always going to be true.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Do you need. I guess what for what you're saying, do you need that in the mainline or can that just be legendary? Because I do like, I do like what you're saying. I just. I just don't know if it's possible.
Tim Gettys
I think the mainline games are unruly. I think that we are at a point clearly that the games are breaking at the seams because they can't handle all of the things that they have to do as baseline and when they have to do all those things because of the way that the core game is all. At the end of the day, it has to work with the same Pokemon that you played in the last generation, the generation before and the generation before. We need a shake up in the core games and it needs to be a clean split. But they're not going to do it. Maybe they will. Story number four, New report says Xbox is Fable may not release until 2027. This comes from Paul Tassi at Forbes. Fable may end up getting delayed even longer. The news comes from reputable Xbox Insider Shepsell Nick, who Said on the Xbox Era podcast that two sources have told him that Fable may not arrive till 2027. Not that anything's going especially wrong, just that it's taking longer than they thought. You can join this with the statement from head of Xbox Game Studios, Craig Duncan, back when the original delay was announced. If you want to look at the delay headspace, which may happen twice, quote, I just want to start with really excited, really excited about progress. Really excited. Where Playground are. We previously announced the date for Fable is 2025. We're actually going to give Fable more time and it's going to ship in 2026. Now, while I know that not may not, well, I know that's not maybe the news people want to hear. What I want to assure people of is that it's definitely worth the wait. And I just have unequivocal confidence in the playgr. Last we saw a Fable was a trailer of the Xbox game showcase in June of 2024. Last year.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I opened up Google sheets to our calendar and I put in a Gamescast topic, how to fix Pokemon. Because we need to have so much more. I want to talk about. We need to have a conversation about Pokemon regarding this. You know, like, it's. I mean, it's the quote from the great Shaquille o', Neal, delay your fucking game. And if you need to delay it, delay it.
Tim Gettys
And then I'm going to dunk on you.
Blessing Adoh Junior
And then I'm going to dunk on you.
Barrett Courtney
And then if you delay it too long and if you work too long on it, maybe it gets canceled, then.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I'm question mark and I'm going to leave the heat.
Barrett Courtney
Shaquille o'.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Neal.
Tim Gettys
That's the thing, man. Like, on one hand, we're just so fucked, dude. I don't know.
Blessing Adoh Junior
And that's.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
On the other hand, I'm at a place now with Xbox where I'm like, I don't even believe I'm seeing this game ever. After you delayed. Perfect. Not delayed. After you cancel Perfect.
Tim Gettys
Dark. Perfect Dark.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't. I don't believe I'm gonna see this game. I'll believe it when I see it.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, that's.
Blessing Adoh Junior
That's it for me.
Tim Gettys
Jokes aside.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Real talk. Bless.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
What's the likelihood that we see Fable release?
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't know. I genuinely.
Tim Gettys
I don't know. Genuinely.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Genuinely.
Tim Gettys
I don't genuinely. Right. God, that's scary, isn't it?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Because I'm right there with you. Like, I would say, oh, no, it's going to Come. But like, why, why would I think that? Like, why would I believe that at all? It's not being dramatic. Like really look at the team, look at the cadence of how often we've seen this game. I don't know.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, I would love to rationalize and be like, well, it's playground games. They're a staple within the Xbox ecosystem. They put out so many Forza Horizons and like that's such a big hitter for Xbox and like I don't think they will close them down or anything like that or cancel their project. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
Tim Gettys
I'm 70, 30, you know.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I agree. I'm there with you.
Tim Gettys
Super Mario Jamboree this is story number five. Switch 2 edition gets a TV. I messed up every word. I put them all in the wrong order.
Blessing Adoh Junior
First of all, that's hilarious. But also this is. I didn't realize this is the title of the game.
Tim Gettys
This is the Mario party jamboree. Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Plus Jamboree TV.
Blessing Adoh Junior
That's a terrible video game title.
Tim Gettys
It's a terrible name. This is a review roundup on Metacritic. It's out of 77 open critic. It's out of 70. Logan Plant at IGN gave it a seven out of 10, saying Super Mario Party Jamboree is still the best entry in the series. But the new content of the Switch 2 Edition re release adds frustrating limitations and strange design decisions to what was otherwise a polished customizable experience. Its camera focused content's pretty forgettable, but there are a few worthwhile additions like the great mouse control, mini games and interesting new rule sets. However, it's hard to enjoy them to the fullest due to how this content's divided across two separate versions that don't talk to each other at all. Core features like achievements, unlockables, mini game records, and even rule sets are are locked behind the Switch 1 version, which shockingly got zero performance or resolution updates like the Jamboree TV portion did. If the new stuff had been seamlessly integrated with the old under one umbrella, this would be a slam dunk. But as it stands, if you already own Jamboree, I only recommend upgrading if you're really interested in the new content. And if you're looking to buy Jamboree for the first time, it's not like you'll be disappointed by what's here. But the things that Jamboree TV hardly feel worth the price when you could just pick up the cheaper Switch 1 version instead. Bad PG O'Reilly at Nintendo Life gave it a 9 out of 10 saying that the horribly titled video game gives an already fantastic party game a huge shot in the arm with a bunch of brilliant mouse mode and mic based games that also allow you to see your big silly face as you play. And then Jenny Lada at Silicon Era says it's an 8 out of 10. Super Mario Party Jamboree remains a solid game and I feel like The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Plus Jamboree TV is a natural pickup for families.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Earlier in the episode, Tim, you asked if Mario Party or sorry, Mario Kart world and Our Rules 2 were the only two games announced for $80. This is $80, man. This is $80 if you want the full package for Switch to. Yeah, granted, if you. If you can rationalize it in your brain of like, well, you're getting a base game plus one. Yeah.
Barrett Courtney
I guess technically Kirby SWAT as well. Switch two versions of Zelda games as well.
Blessing Adoh Junior
$80. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Was that just Tears of the Kingdom? We're in a silly world, guys.
Blessing Adoh Junior
We're in a really silly world.
Barrett Courtney
Oh yeah.
Tim Gettys
Maybe that's hilarious.
Blessing Adoh Junior
But you can, you can take notes now.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
The. I. I was really bummed out listening to Logan Plan's Igen review. He does an excellent. This Logan Plant guy.
Tim Gettys
This guy, man.
Blessing Adoh Junior
This guy.
Tim Gettys
This guy, man.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I. I didn't know his game.
Tim Gettys
I love.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Logan is a great reviewer.
Tim Gettys
He is a fantastic reviewer and he is very good at his job.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yes. And so I watched this full IGN, you know, review for Jamboree TV and just jam Bri Switch 2 Edition and I was shocked to hear that there wasn't any. There's not even a resolution bump for like the base Jamboree game and everything. Yeah. Is in a different menu. Have you gotten your hands on this yet?
Tim Gettys
I did. Very limited. Played around with it a bit and like it's cool. I do like the. The mouse mini games. They're awesome. And the. The camera stuff, it's as fun as it was in Mario Kart, which is to say it's a blast at parties and stuff. I was hanging out with my friends and we messing around with Jam tv. Not enough to do a full review or anything. But like I, I definitely was surprised at them being separated and I, I'm kind of with Logan. The biggest thing for me is like no performance increases. What are we doing here?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. That's bizarre.
Tim Gettys
What are we doing here?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Again, it brings me back to why did you this. This was your third Mario Party game that you released on Switch 1. Like why not just hold it, you know, lump the Jamboree TV experience into the core package and just try to get this place. Get this game to a place where it feels like an original switch to title. Like, that feels like such a weird.
Tim Gettys
Lol. I mean, okay. Like, that's the only thing is it sold very well. So, like, yeah, you're right. Bless. I'm with you. That, like, it'd be a lot more exciting if this was a brand new Mario Party on a new console. And like, there's excitement around it, but yeah, it just kind of feels like, all right, we're just getting more of the thing that we just got. And the new stuff feels. I think the new stuff's good. It's just not integrated well.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
So classic. WNDs, man.
Blessing Adoh Junior
It's. It's. It's that one too, where this game comes out last fall and like, I. I played it with my friends once and I was like, yo, this game is excellent. I wanted to play it a lot more. And I feel like it coming out toward the end of the generation post two Mario party is like, I feel like I would have gotten way more out of this with my friend. This is such a me problem. But I feel like it probably translates to some people out there, right? Like, if this came out as like the switch to Mario Party, I feel like there would have been a lot more juice we would have squeezed out of it.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Yeah, I think you're right for sure for the USS of the world. I think you're absolutely correct there. Yeah. And, God, we're running late. I do want to say, though, that I can't believe that a couple months ago, me and you were in New York and we were watching the Nintendo Direct, and we saw 4K120 frames per second, and it was like, what? From this Nintendo?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Really? And then here we are a couple months later. I'm just like, where the numbers at? Nintendo numbers at. Where the numbers at?
Blessing Adoh Junior
Said it's 720p.
Tim Gettys
I know. Too many k's on this. All right, Nintendo, figure this out. Story number six. Capcom's once again remaking Resident Evil 2. This comes from Zach at Kotaku. If there's one thing I know about Capcom, is that the publisher just loves remaking Resident Evil 2. And now it's doing it again. RE2 Deadshot is a new arcade reimagining of the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake. On July 22, IGN reported that an arcade cabinet for RE2 Deadshot had been spotted by fans in Namco's Funscape arcade in the UK RE2 Deadshots, an on rails light gun shooter that spawned splits RE2 story into five different episodes. The arcade cabinet's an early version of the game that's being tested by Capcom and developers. Damn. Kai Bando.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Bando. This looks like a Star wars character. Gunslinger hangs out with Han Solo on the weekend.
Tim Gettys
Namco Bandai ahead of a wider release. Think of it like beta testing. IGN send someone to play the arcade port of it and grab some footage of the game in action. You're seeing that right now. Now, no release date's been set, but if they are testing it publicly already, I'd expect a full route to more arcades coming in the near future.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I fuck with this.
Tim Gettys
I mean, yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
How can you not fuck with this?
Tim Gettys
I mean, first off, it looks awesome. Second off, I love that arcade games just show up one day and it's like, oh, this is a thing. This is happening. But yeah, re and it's dumbass B movie ass plot combined with light gun shooting. What could go wrong?
Blessing Adoh Junior
I'm surprised that didn't already exist.
Tim Gettys
It does. It did. Umbrella Chronicles on the Wii. It was awesome.
Blessing Adoh Junior
That's what.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. And there was another one too. But yeah, this looks great.
Barrett Courtney
Cool.
Tim Gettys
Get more juice out of Re 2. I love it.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I love going to an arcade and seeing an arcade version of a game that I know that I didn't realize exists. It happens like any single time I go to a new arcade, I'm like, Luigi's Mansion. Yeah, another need for speed.
Tim Gettys
Oh man.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Damn.
Tim Gettys
If RE2 made it to the Dave and Buster's Arcade that's near the studio Blessed, that'd be huge.
Blessing Adoh Junior
That'd be gigantic.
Tim Gettys
We'll have to wait and see though. But if I wanted to know know about something really goddamn tiny, where would I look?
Blessing Adoh Junior
You go to our last news story, the WE News channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
Tim Gettys
It's true. I had a dream. Yeah, not last night, but recently.
Blessing Adoh Junior
It sounds like you're about to go into the Martin Luther King speech.
Tim Gettys
Similar, but a little different. Duck Hunt 99, you got the mouse mode. Oh, I woke up up in the middle of the night. Like, how did that even work? I'll be a millionaire.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Be a millionaire. I had a dream last night that I was reviewing DK Bonanza and then like, it was a gamescast. I was gonna give my score, but then before I could get my score, you like interrupted me and I never got to get my score. And then it transitioned into A live reaction and then Sonic Cross World Racing, whatever the that game is, came up on the big like on the, on our back wall and we were like watching the reaction like we're like like watching the gameplay on the back wall instead of the monitor that we usually do. And that was the dream. I woke up and I was like, man, I just. I work too much.
Tim Gettys
Too much. Everyone, we news for you From Noble. The PS5 system update beta announced which lets you pair your dual sense across multiple devices. Very cool for people like me. They also announced power saver for games is coming in the future, which is very interesting.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Very interesting.
Tim Gettys
You can allow your PS5 to run in a lower power mode and have the settings of the games kind of adjust accordingly. Why would they be doing this? Why would they need this for a potential portable device? Bless.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, I didn't even think like that we should call you the Thinker.
Tim Gettys
From vgc, Square Enix confirmed that they lost the code for final fantasy tactics PS1 version and the remake is made from scratch.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Wow.
Tim Gettys
Square be doing this, man. How do they lose all the code to Kingdom Hearts? How the did they do that?
Blessing Adoh Junior
It's a different time.
Tim Gettys
Scottish Silent Hill developer no codes, changes.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Name to screen burn apparently there was a quote in the story that said we have coders now. Well, yeah. Good for them.
Tim Gettys
According to Alenia Analytics, Forza Horizon 5 is the highest selling game on PS5 this year with over 3 million copies sold. It's cool.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Hell yeah.
Tim Gettys
Hell yeah. What a game.
Blessing Adoh Junior
What a game.
Tim Gettys
What a damn game. From Noble, some Ubisoft rumors. Tom Clancy's Rain Number six.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Ubisoft numbers.
Tim Gettys
Numbers. I don't know what's wrong with me today.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean you're back. You were on vacation.
Tim Gettys
I've been gone. Yeah. I've been in a river for days. Tom Clancy's Rainbow six Siege X underperformed due to technical pricing issues. Assassin's Creed Shadows delivered with on expectations with over 5 million unique players. Cool.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Cool.
Tim Gettys
From Insider Gaming? Nope. First Borderlands Force coming to Switch 2 on October 3rd.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Nice.
Tim Gettys
Okay. That's cool. Yeah, there's some third party support.
Blessing Adoh Junior
There you go.
Tim Gettys
It's happening.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
That actually is very good to see because I don't think that was a pre Switch 2 launch. I would have been like for sure after Switch to launch. I've been like, I don't know. Didn't they.
Blessing Adoh Junior
But didn't we see it like they. We've known Borderlands 4 is coming to Switch, right?
Tim Gettys
I don't know.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't Know, I might just be talking.
Tim Gettys
I could not care less.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean, that too.
Tim Gettys
From insider gaming, Julian Lefe, the father of the Elder Scrolls, has passed away. That sucks.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. Sad news.
Tim Gettys
Last week, Julian Lefe stepped away from the industry to be with his family as his battle with cancer came to an end. It was announced earlier to the today by those close to him that Lefay has passed away, age 59. In 1987, LeFay started working at Bethesda Softworks, contributing an immense amount to the first Elder Scrolls game. He wrapped up his involvement with the Elder Scrolls with Morrowind before departing Bethesda in 98. His passing is being mourned worldwide by fans of the franchise.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Rest in peace, Julian Lefay.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, Legend. That's it for WE News.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Also, chat is reminding me that rainy pitcher did show up in the switch two directions.
Tim Gettys
Correct.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Which I should have remembered. Yeah.
Barrett Courtney
You got jump scared.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I got. Yeah, it happens every single time.
Tim Gettys
There's a lot going on, but. Cool. That's good. We do have some super chats I'd like to get to real quick. Billy. Stefan says story number one is Tim's hair. There we go. Ed Reed fan says first time paying the birthday tax. Happy birthday, Mr. Ed Reed. I don't think that's your name. That's a baseball player, isn't it? Yeah, he's a fan.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Ed Reed fan. All right. Yeah. What's up with you today? What's going on? I want you to get it together, all right? This is the first show of the day. I need you to get it together.
Barrett Courtney
Violet says, also, Ed Reed is a football player.
Tim Gettys
Why is he wearing a baseball hat? This little duck here. I can't stop listening to the Fantastic Four first steps, main theme. I can't wait to hear it intertwined with the Avengers theme one day. Dude, I'm right there with you. I'm watching that movie tonight, and I can't freaking wait to hear the music. Violet says, tim, I'm four moons away from all of them in Mario Odyssey. That is wild.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Hell, yeah.
Tim Gettys
One day I want to do it.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Go to Odyssey. Because, yeah, I'm going through Bonanza and I'm going to 100 the game. Like, I am well on my way to getting all the bananas. I'm like, I'm having a freaking blast doing this. And I'm like, I was never compelled to do that in Odyssey, and I want to.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I tried. And I just.
Tim Gettys
Just.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. There's just so many moons and it's. There's not like a way they don't have like a. I don't know, like a metal detector to tell you where the moons are. Right. Like, it's not like Zelda, where you have your shrine detector whenever you get the close to one. And so in Mario, you just gotta butt pound everything.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Is that the word? Ground pound.
Barrett Courtney
I like butt pound.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I don't like butt pound. I take that back. I apologize.
Tim Gettys
So Sander says, rip Prince of darkness. Yeah, man. Ozzy Osbourne going wild.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Oh, my God. Rest in peace.
Tim Gettys
Davinster says, I'm gutted and heartbroken about Aussie's passing. I've celebrated his music and have such a strong bond with my dad because of it. Lots of tears over the past 24 hours. Thanks for the distraction, KF. Yeah, yeah.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Between that and Theo, like, God, like, What a upsetting 24 hours.
Tim Gettys
I know. Man of news Science Dog says, branded power. That dude blew it with that hat. Brandon. Wait, what? Branded power. That dude blew it with that hat. Made me not want to check it out.
Barrett Courtney
Out.
Tim Gettys
I get what you're saying, but I don't know exactly what you're saying.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Brand it power. That dude blew it with that hat.
Barrett Courtney
Well, I know the. The hat is the. The FPS hat.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Barrett Courtney
Brandit power. I don't know.
Tim Gettys
We get the sentiment.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I'm not gonna lie. I thought he was talking about you during the ad read. I was trying to figure it out. I was like, what's he trying to tell us?
Tim Gettys
Dready says, I just see Fantastic four. It's fantastic in S tier Marvel. In my opinion, best superhero film this year. Sorry, Greg. Excited for the doomsday potential. I'm excited. Kuma Bob OMB says, what happened to Tim's hair in the ad? I pushed real hard.
Blessing Adoh Junior
He pushed hard.
Tim Gettys
Kebab says, is it safe to say that Mario Kart World is not replacing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? No, I don't think so. I think that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is going to continue to sell forever. I don't think Mario Kart World's going to sell as much as 8 Deluxe. But I also. I think that the DLC could really change the game. There, there.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Hear me out. The Switch 3 comes out and we get Mario Kart World Deluxe. Does it upsell then?
Tim Gettys
I don't know. The Deluxe is the determining factor there. Probably not, but maybe. Who knows? I may be out of jamboree TV mode. BGT says, if anyone needs a switch to Best Buy has them now. TC says, does the fastest selling system speak to how great the system is or Nintendo's ability to mass produce units. The lack of games upon release is why I canceled my reservation and took months to be able to buy a PS5.
Blessing Adoh Junior
I mean, I think it is for sure Nintendo's like their ability to mass produce, but also their confidence in the thing. Right. You don't produce that many numbers if you don't think you're gonna like sell that. Sell that many. So I think it's more of a canary in the coal mine more than anything.
Tim Gettys
I also just don't understand how we could be here now a month after the release and be like the lack of games upon release is like a problem. It's like clearly they sold this thing out and it's like it's selling. It's like, like this is good.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
For Nintendo, put out games when more consoles are out so that you could sell more copies of the software.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah. You know, this goes back to my conversation of like feeling weird about reviewing the Switch 2 in the first couple of weeks because like really the determining factor is going to be more so like maybe first six months, first year, first seven years. Right. And like I, I understand people being like, man, it doesn't feel like there's a lot of games on this thing in launch bunch because. Launch launch month. Because I feel that too. But also I think they made the right business decision because yeah, like they're selling Switch twos like hotcakes and now you're gonna have a drip feed of games come out maybe once a month or so over the course of the next however long. And when we're looking back in December, it's not gonna feel empty. We're gonna be like, oh, we got Kirby Air Riders or whatever it's called. And we got, you know, Mario Kart World and the Legend of Zelda, like Dynasty warriors game and all this. Right.
Tim Gettys
Like we're Pokemon on.
Blessing Adoh Junior
Yeah, I think that's going to be beneficial in the long run.
Tim Gettys
All right, we're. Let's get to your wrong to see what's going on here a lot from yesterday.
Blessing Adoh Junior
You know, I was thinking about this morning watching the jamboree TV review. I. I was thinking back to our conversation of what we wanted to see from Team Asobi. And I feel like they'd make a party game. I feel like they make a really good party game.
Tim Gettys
Damn. That's actually a really good call. I feel like it could be different and stand out out because of them. How they would use the dual sense and everything. Like that could be really.

Tundra Boy says three other Resident Evil titles were light gun games that used the PlayStation Gun Con, Resident Evil Survivor, Resident Evil Survivor 2, and Resident Evil Dead Aim. Interesting going back to the Dead Aim title here. And also shout out to the Gun Con. What a cool name for a gun. It's a gun, it's a controller. It's everything you could ever want. And this show has been everything you ever needed. Kind of funny games daily. We hope you liked it. And if you want us talking about more video game stuff, guess what? The Gamescast is about to begin. But until next time, it's been our pleasure to serve you.
