A
Today, fan favorite game Portrait mode returns with a brand new judge.
B
Such a piece of all of you.
A
Get ready for game showdown.
C
You got me.
A
Yo, what's up? Welcome to game showdown. I'm your host, Blessing Adioye Jr. And I'm joined by three contestants representing three teams. Teams. We got Tim Gettys representing team Orange.
B
Yep, I'm here.
A
We have Mike Howard representing team Purple.
B
Hi. Bless. It feels great to be on the other side because I know what it takes to win.
A
I overheard you earlier saying that you paid off the judges. Well, do you want to explain that? What was that about?
B
Yeah, I was just willing to pay off Nick on whatever he wanted, whether it be frozen Cheetos, Starbucks, Las Vegas Raiders jacket. I'll give him anything.
A
You don't do that. All right? You keep your bribes to yourself.
D
I'm open to this show. I'm open to bribes.
A
And we have the team blue captain, the champion of team blue, the only.
C
Man with a star so far, Greg Miller.
A
Yeah.
C
Excuse me. Cut your mics. And I would like to take this chance to address the audience. All right. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in all of you.
E
Okay.
C
I looked through the comments on last week's episode of Game Showdown and of course I won a star. And everybody from Aunt Susie to Timothy Tommy over here. So mad. So mad. Well, it's not fun that Greg didn't play the game for the team two minutes early. Pokeball questions. And Greg got all the points. Not one of you complimented me on playing the game right. I saw the fucking Matrix. I made it happen. And that's why I left with three digits worth of points. These guys couldn't even crack 100. So I accept your apologies that you better be writing in the YouTube comments this week before you get mad for us doing this episode.
A
Because it's funny because I was thinking all weekend I was like, what went wrong? Because I had play tested that game and I was like, why? Why did it go so differently?
D
I told you too. I was like, what if somebody, I won't say who, ends up hoarding all the points by the ending of it? You're like, I don't know if it's going to happen.
A
Yeah, because I was like, I play tested it as foolproof and I didn't. I didn't consider the fact that Nick.
C
There'S a reason I'm the champion, not just of season three, and led team Blue to a three. Pete, not just of your season. Now the only man with the star.
E
The best of us, Greg.
C
Thank you, Nick.
E
The best of us.
A
I'm also joined by two of my fellow judges today. We got Roger and we have Nick Scarpino.
E
Hello, Blessing. Thanks for having us.
A
Thanks for joining us.
E
My pleasure.
A
And of course we're going to start off with a trivia question worth 10 points and the chance to start off strong. Contestants buzz in to answer. Black Myth Zhang Ku was revealed at Gamescom as the follow up to Black Myth. Wukong Shan Qu is the name of the Chinese mythological vanquisher of ghosts and evil beings. John Quay is also referenced as the name of a weapon in which Mike fucked up.
B
He's got a dude's got a paintbrush as a weapon.
A
Mike. That is incorrect to finish the question. Jean Kui is also referenced as the name of a weapon. In which of the following video games is it a multiple choice? So easy. Is it A for Honor, B Soul Calibur 3C, Fire Emblem Awakening or D Final Fantasy 7 Remake? Which of these games has a weapon called Shangui? Is it A for Honor, B Soul Cobbler 3C Fire Emblem Awakening or D Final Fantasy 7 Remake? Greg or Tim are able to buzz in. If nobody buzzes in, nobody gets the point. Tim geddes soul calibur3 soul calibur3 is the correct answer. That is 10 points.
B
3 was just random enough.
E
Oh yeah.
B
Where I'm like bless know something about this.
A
It's funny because specifically it is that game, right? So Shanghui is one of Li Long's weapons in Soul Calibur 3 specifically. That's 10 points for Tim Geddes. Remember this is Game Showdown Kind of funny's nerdy game show. They can watch live right here on twitch and on YouTube. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Psalm Twining. Today we're brought to you by our wonderful sponsors which are Factor and Shady Rays. Gotta remember that. But we'll tell you about that later. For now, let's play portrait mode. The rules are simple. I'm gonna give you all the same prompt. It could be the name of a Pokemon, a famous final boss or even a video game box art. Your task is to draw what you think the prompt looks like on your surface pros.
C
Remember, accuracy is what we think it looks like.
E
Nick.
C
Okay.
B
Artistic ability? Does it matter Here Bless well, we're.
A
Gonna get into it. Our three judges, me, Roger, and Nick, will pick the winners for each round. You get 10 points for each endorsement from Roger, Nick, and I. So if I think Greg had the best drawing, but Roger, Nick think Tim did, Greg would get 10 points, while Tim would get 20. We're judging based on accuracy, not artistry. Yeah. I repeat, we're judging based on accuracy, not artistry. So if I ask you to draw the Gears of War box art, as long as you have the key features right, that's more important than your actual drawing skills. That's a real place in there for Andy, because, of course, Andy's artist. Andy's not even here today, so we ain't got to worry about all that. All right.
D
What about vibes?
A
You know, I leave it up to the judges. I leave it up to the judges. I put out there. We're judging based on accuracy, not artistry. From there, you guys do whatever you want.
E
What are the judges?
B
As the person running the show, you look at the judges and you go, no. These are the rules.
A
Well, I just trust my judges and.
B
Put it nothing like a competition based on vibes.
A
I judge the judge. I judge the judges implicitly. I trust the judges implicitly.
D
It's like the ghost of Andy is still here. Yeah.
B
Right.
A
When did Andy walk in the room? God.
D
Crazy.
A
Today, the theme is video game box art.
C
Yeah.
A
And so, in theory, this will be a test of your memory of details.
C
Theory.
A
In theory. And also, these are all based on the western releases of these games. For the record, do we have any questions before we move forward?
E
No. Although, if you draw the Japanese cover for any of these games, I will.
B
Give you extra points for real.
E
If you can pull that one out.
C
For real.
A
All right, well, let's get into round number one. Contestants, I want you to draw the box art for the original Doom. Oh, the original Doom.
C
Oh, no.
A
Mine broke. Yeah. You said yours broke?
E
Yeah.
A
Roger, can you help Mike?
B
I'll just describe it to you.
A
No, you're not gonna describe anything to me.
B
Mine's broken. I don't know.
D
Why did you make so much it?
B
He was doing stuff.
A
Oh, my God.
B
Don't worry. I'll just describe it. I can describe. I'm really.
A
No, that's not. You ever not.
B
I don't know.
E
Oh, yeah.
B
Mike, get it together.
A
What the would you do before we started this episode? For the record, Mike was doing a lot of doodling on that thing.
E
Mike, get a piece of paper. This is unacceptable.
B
Give me a paper piece of paper.
E
Bro, give him a whiteboard, for Christ's sake.
A
I assume in the process of erasing whatever drawing you had there. You know, you could have interrupted us before we started the round.
B
You were in a flow. I would never interrupt you. Don't worry, I'll just describe it to you. I'll describe the first one that I'll pay.
A
No, you gotta draw. You have to drive.
B
You're really good at this, Nick.
A
I'm gonna put 30 extra seconds on the board so Mike can catch up here due to the technical difficulty.
D
God, I hate him.
A
You sat there like me in second grade when I didn't want to admit that I didn't hear the instructions.
D
My number two pencil don't work no more.
A
It's like the test is over. We finished the quiz.
B
Yet?
A
15 seconds left on the board.
D
Oh, my gosh. Do you know the Doom cover from the top of your head? I think I do.
A
I think I do. In fact, once this is up, I want to ask both of you.
D
Okay.
A
What? You guys.
E
Interesting. I think I can get, like, 20% of the way there.
A
All right, time is about up. I want to see your Sharpies, your pencils put down here, Mike Howard. Mike, put down the Sharpie.
B
I'm putting down the Sharpie.
A
Mike, put down Sharpie.
B
Sharpie, Tim, because I'm about to show you how to do this.
A
Okay. Nick, what do you think the box art looks like for Doom?
E
I just remember it being the logo. Isn't it just the thick. Just. Just says Doom?
A
Just the thick font.
D
Yeah.
C
I would like to go first.
A
Roger. What do you think it looks like Doom.
D
And then it's the Doom guy on top of, like, some type of, like, horde of zombies shooting down.
E
Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right.
A
Well, I want to start off with Greg Miller. Let's see what Greg's drawing looks like.
C
Thank you. I tried to go faster and be accurate. As you can see, Doom is up there. Remember the D and the M came down low on the sides. We had an orange and red vibe going. Yes. Doom Slayer is there shooting down like this. I tried to get the elbow to do the thing.
E
Ah, you got green in there, too, buddy. You got the green outfit.
C
Yeah, exactly. And you see the circles all around clearly. The circle on his left hand is his left hand, but then the circle's there. You see him, like, reaching. Those are the zombies or the creatures. The hell. The hell demons, I guess.
D
Interesting.
A
All right, next up, let's do Tim Gettys. What does Tim have here we have.
B
Doom Slayer there on the mountain of zombies. The important thing that Greg missed is the flying revenant, guys.
E
All right. In the background there.
C
I like the point of the important thing Tim missed is the name of the 14 game.
E
Well, that's above. He didn't have enough space for that. He didn't have enough screen real estate for that.
C
He's fucking drew it as a Game Boy cartridge.
D
The CDO version.
E
I also like that. I'm going to give Tim maybe a little nod because his main character looks like a ninja turtle. Just a little bit.
D
Yeah.
E
He'S shooting into the sky like Point Break. He's doing Point Break.
A
Ah, point.
C
Yeah. Which way is the gun shooting in the real cover.
D
Where's the gun shooting?
C
Oh, signed his head.
E
That head's worth money now.
A
Mike, show us your drawing.
B
Yeah, Nick. Roger and bless. Let me take you to the year 2045. It's the future. There's lasers, there's demons. And the only one man can go out and save the the world. It's Doom man. And he's on top of a mountain of demons, slaying these hordes of demons. But one thing that these two jabronis forgot about, he's choking one of the demons out at the top of the hill while he's murdering hordes and hordes of demon monsters. Welcome to doom 2045.
C
And he's shooting, just.
B
Dropping the D.
A
It is a circular D. That is a circular looking dude.
B
Thank you.
E
This is tough.
C
None of this compliment.
A
Now, Baron, can you bring up the actual Doom box art for us to look at and compare?
D
No choking.
A
No choking. No revenants in the corner either.
C
Thank you. Thank you, everybody. Mike did remember that.
A
Mike convinced me also. He has Dune 2 Doom 2. Maybe again, this is the original, original Doom.
C
More importantly, I am the only one shooting at the ground. I'd like that out there. We need a duty. I had the downward D. I had the downward M. I'm disappointed, but again, not based on artistic stuff. It's based on vibes.
A
We said based on accuracy is what.
B
I thought based on the vibe.
A
Let me see yours again, corner man.
E
I. It doesn't look like he's smiling there. Mike, what is it?
B
Yeah, that's their snout.
E
Oh, you did put the snout there. I do like that. Mike got the little guy looking back like hello.
A
And that's correct.
E
That's pretty.
A
Okay, and bring up.
B
He's looking back.
A
Hello. Okay.
E
Okay, let's go.
C
Mike's pallet, you know very much I'm trying to get you going.
A
Yeah. Roger's now brought over the whiteboards and markers that we usually write down our votes on. I got my vote locked in mentally, so I'm gonna write down mine quick.
C
Caught a vibe maybe.
A
What is this?
E
Out of how many points for this did you say who's got. Can I have a market too or do I have to lick mine? Thank you.
A
Do I have to lick mine? Okay, let's start off with Roger. Roger, who's your vote?
D
Yeah, it's a tough one. Mike almost conned me into saying him just because the choking just felt like it would be on there. But I have to give it to Greg. I mean that just he's mad at me today. Mike, he was sitting, he was on a hill and he was shooting upwards. Like Greg literally has him shooting downwards. It's the wrong, you know, one hand shooting.
B
Not even on a hill.
D
But he's on top of the body.
B
That's not a hill. Please judge. That's not a hill. Please note that's not a hill.
A
My vote also goes to Greg. I think Greg is the most accurate. Greg is on the hill of body shooting downwards.
D
Mad at me too. Incredible.
A
And yeah, the specific details. Of course Tim had the revenants in the background which the actual cover didn't. And then Mike having the choking the demon which actually wasn't there either.
C
So cool but cool they should think.
A
Of that might be in some of the other doom we have not figured out. Not in the first one. Nick, who's your vote?
E
It's tough because Tim did draw the Ninja Turtles which is cool and I like them. That's pretty sick. I do. I want to get, I want to give a special, you know, little nod to Mike for having a little, little side eyed like, you know, demon at the bottom is like hello, welcome to the party. But I also do want to point out that Mike probably just watched Greg draw for probably 30 seconds. Guarantee he decided to draw. So I'm gonna give this to Greg. Greg's gonna get this one.
A
All right, that's 30 points for Greg Miller.
C
Another episode of Game Showdown in the books.
A
Now we got a few more rounds, let's move on. Try again. Mike to round number two contestants. Now, did we figure out Mike's computer situation? No.
B
Rod, just holding me back. Just give it to me. I'll draw. Don't worry about it. I'm an artist.
A
Just holding me back.
C
He's got, he's got text box.
E
In case the audience wasn't. You didn't catch this. Mike did, in fact, draw a ton before we started, and I think it was just too much for the Surface book to deal with. It just maxed the power.
C
I want to remind you that Microsoft gave us these Surface books, so I assure you it's not their problem.
E
Fair enough. We'd like to thank our sponsor, Microsoft Surface. We're not sponsored by them.
C
How you go further. You know it. We got it back. Yeah. Make them do it.
E
It's. It's easier.
C
It's a better experience.
B
I'm gonna make. I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna do that.
C
It's got a better experience.
B
I got a lot of things in my hand.
C
This was a mistake.
E
I think this is the best game.
C
I agree.
A
I like it a lot. Let's move on to round number two. Contestants, I want you to draw the box art for GTA Vice City.
E
Oh, this is a good one.
A
The GTA Vice.
D
I don't want to give any hits, but there's a lot of stuff to draw there.
A
I think everybody has, like, the broad ide that I think it's tough up on.
E
It's tough because there are so many covers that's true. To pull from.
A
That's true. You know, broadly, what's on all of them?
E
I think I do. But there's always, like, there's always a lady in some sort of.
A
Don't get too detailed on this.
E
I'm not going to get too detailed on it. I think there's the characters, and then you got the cityscape. Right. Am I crazy and thinking no.
D
Yeah. So. But my issue here is that I'm thinking about GTA Vice City stories. That's actually the COVID that I think about more for some reason. Oh, yeah.
A
I don't know why for me is the fact that, like, I played so much San Andreas that, like, if I were to do this one, I would have to separate that of, like. All right, what is the Vice City version of this? Because there is.
E
I feel like you. I feel like you could get me with this if you just did the color scheme of Vice City. If you just. If you just were able to draw in that. In this specific color scheme for that, I feel like that would go a long way for me, Greg.
A
Well, thankfully you said that at the end of the contestants aren't going to be able to.
E
I feel like that'd go a long way for me. Even if you just put the colors in the corner and said, this is what the colors are.
A
Tackle Mike. For me, Mike get that pen down. Thank you. Thank you, thank you.
D
All right, I said that one more time. Negative 10 points.
A
You know, Roger. Roger said it. You know, let's start off. Of course. Contestants, I asked you to draw the box out of GTA Vice City. I'll start off with Tim Geddes this time.
B
Not enough time.
A
Him saying he ran out of time here. Oh, okay. I like. I. I like the PlayStation 2 at the top.
D
Yeah, I do like that.
A
I think the overall composition. I see the direction.
E
I like the logo. He nailed the logo. Everything. And I just saw just the rough shapes. I like that. Is the Grand Theft Auto logo right there?
A
Yes. All right, let's.
E
The Vice City and the nasty, like, neon writing below it. I love that.
A
I like that. Yeah.
E
Good job, Tim.
A
Let's see. Mike's.
B
Let me take you to a fall afternoon in Colorado. 7th grade snowbike mike. $60 stolen from his mother's wallet. I apologize.
A
Mom.
B
And I stood outside of Circuit City begging anyone over the age of 18 to buy grand Theft Auto Vice City for me. A young man, a college man, came up and took my money. And I prayed to God that he would come back with an order of Grand Theft Auto Vice City. And you know what, Tim? You can have faith in humanity because he did. He changed with this incredible. No, the box art looks just like this.
C
This is what the man brought back.
A
There is a 3/4 empty.
C
No platform on the box.
B
There's a man with glasses on. There's a car swooshing down the street. Please be mindful of that when you see your fake champion, Greg, and what he is.
D
And the game is called GTA Vic City.
B
That's a C. That's the placement of the load.
D
The game is called GTA Roger.
B
Just know it's an idea. There's a man with glasses.
D
Okay. Hey, Michael.
A
I'll keep that in mind.
E
Keep in mind.
A
And a car going swoosh.
E
Noted on the official record. Michael White. In fact, I'm gonna put that down. I'm gonna put that down. Man with glasses.
A
All right, let's see. Greg Miller's.
C
What I don't like is that Nick gave Tim the credit for the neon. For the te. The neon. When I actually had the neon. Vice City the way it should be. Of course, I was moving quickly here, trying to get everything on. You see the PS2 banner at the top? It should say PlayStation 2. I give that to Tim. But it was. I had to move fast. I had to go Grand Theft Auto, lowercase G. Very important. Very important for the Grand Theft Auto. Lowercase, the Vice City in there. And then.
A
Yeah.
C
I threw in the boat. A pretty lady. A car. Again, a motorcycle. I'm trying to drop everything in as quick as I possibly can.
D
Interesting.
A
Oh, pretty lady.
E
Okay, we got the pretty lady.
C
Thank you. You're gonna say that.
E
Noted. Pretty lady.
A
If we can bring up the actual Grand Theft Auto Vice City box art. Okay, okay, okay, okay.
C
The boat, the pretty lady, the car.
A
In the wrong spot.
D
Here's my issue. I'm gonna just say man with glasses. I don't. I love what Greg is going for.
A
Right.
D
Because of course there's a bunch of. In there. Right. It's a pretty lady. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
D
I don't like the way that he did it. Like the Hollywood Squares. Like, I don't think that that, like that is like anti. What that cover is.
B
And I, I designed mine to not.
E
Be this rigid grid.
D
Yes, you did. You did.
B
I would love to point out I don't see anything that says PS2 or Banner of that nature.
C
It's because they're not pulling the actual first box. As always, we're cutting corners on the show.
A
No, no, we're bringing in the art, not the box.
C
That was. We were told to draw the box art. You can go back and rewind the footage, Barrett. Maybe stop listening to fucking wonder.
A
Keyword being art, Greg. You know, I was trying to go platform agnostic, but yeah, Vice city. Was that PS2? Okay, well, was it? I forget.
C
Yeah.
A
I was a youngin back then.
B
San Andreas came.
A
Also, it was on PC, right?
D
Yeah.
A
Not at launch.
C
So many years later.
D
God.
C
Grand Theft auto was exclusive PlayStation for quite some time. Like as an IP.
A
I. I have the GTA PS2 box art pulled up on my laptop. So the judges.
C
The judge again, I really want to give. Yeah, we got him credit.
A
Thank you.
D
No one putting. No, I won't say that. Never mind.
E
What's that?
D
No, I was going to say something another.
A
Can I. Can I see a quick view of Tim's game?
E
Let's take a look at Tim's.
A
Okay.
E
Okay, now. Now see.
C
Can you bring up Grand Theft Auto London? Because I feel like this looks more like the Jack on that.
D
I think it's very important that. That Tim put the Grand Theft Auto in the middle.
A
Right?
D
That is very important. That's not what Greg did. I don't believe that's what Mike did. So the Grand Theft in the middle.
E
Mike put his title on the back of the box.
D
Yeah, that's not.
A
It's A conversation about which details matter more to you as a judge.
C
Kind of like that neon color that everybody thinks about that only I included properly.
E
Interesting.
B
Properly. This isn't being properly.
C
Well, I mean, he just gave his guy neon fucking eyes. Neon eyes. That doesn't count for anything.
A
All right, I've written my vote down. All right, Judges have their votes locked in. I'll start this time. No, my vote is going to Tim Gettys.
B
Thank you.
A
I think the overall vision of Tim's is the most accurate, especially when you're talking about the composition. Right. The vice. The GTA Vice City being in the middle. Greg's put on his belt. The GTA Vice City being on the.
C
Middle and even, like, champion one that you can wear a belt.
E
You know what I mean?
A
The shape of the different boxes that you have, like, they feel way more representative of the actual GTA Vice City box art than kind of the Hollywood Square situation we got coming from Mike and Greg. Let's go with Nick.
E
This is a tough one. You know, as you know, I like to be fair and balanced here. Kind of funny. I'm never swayed by anything. I call it. I call it as I see it. Greg had a great. Greg really nailed the mosaic nature of the box. I will say that. But when I look at the box art for Grand Theft Auto, the title is really the thing. You got to nail the placement, how it's cascading. The elements behind it need to be there as well. But I really think that the standout element is the title. So I'm going to give this to one Tim Gettys. Tim Gettys.
A
Roger McCorney.
D
Yeah, this was a tough one because Greg did get the pretty lady and then Mike did get the person with the sunglasses, which.
A
And going swoosh.
D
And they probably going swoosh.
B
We can all look at that and see that's a car going. That's a car going swoosh.
E
They like the cars, but also the cars that go swoosh.
D
Those were kind of given. And Tim did the harder thing and that. He literally almost exactly got the tiling of the background. If you go back to his. And you see the thing. He got that top left one pretty perfectly. It was like.
A
That is.
D
It was. That is somebody that knows that box art. And. Yeah, that. And you see the top left with the little.
C
Doesn't look like the Marshall M at all.
A
And he also.
E
You know what? Also, though Tim did. It did pay respect and actually write out PlayStation, he wasn't lazy about it. He did write out PlayStation 2.
D
And he also wrote out Grand Theft Auto. Yeah.
E
And not Grand Vic Auto, although I would play that game also.
A
Gta Big City.
B
Stunned right now. I feel the problem, Andy. I feel the problem. I see it. I believe it.
A
With three.
E
Can you get the text off your screen?
B
Roger did that to my.
E
Get the Ipsumorium off your screen, dog.
A
With three votes for Tim Gettys, that is 30 points for the round going to Tim. Round number three. Contestants, I want you to draw the box art for Fallout 4.
E
Yes. Yes.
A
I want the Fallout 4 box art.
E
That's good. I actually think I could do this.
D
I think I could do this, too. It wouldn't be good, but, yeah, I would do it.
E
It's like, I'm not gonna try anything.
A
Yeah, yeah. It's hard to talk around here because we don't want to give anything away, but I. I think this is a fun one compared to our last, too.
D
Because I like that.
A
I think it's going to come down to. It might come down to artistry a little bit, if I'm being honest. Actually, we don't grade on artistry, but it might be. But this one might have to come down more to artistry.
D
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. It's the little details that matter here.
A
Matter. Yeah, yeah.
D
For sure.
A
Nick, did you ever play? Oh, Nick's doing his own. Yeah, Nick's doing his own contest.
C
That's fun.
D
I like that.
A
Yeah, I kind of want to. You know what? You know what? Let me draw the show. Nonverbal. Yeah, we're going to draw the COVID art. Go non verbal. Actually, this is where I realized I can never play this game because I have zero artistic ability. I want to say. Yeah, no, I give. I'm giving up pretty quickly on this one. Jesus Christ.
D
And that is your time. Pencils down.
A
Pencils down, Mike.
B
I get an extra 10 seconds. I'm the guest here.
A
No, you're not. You're not the guest. You're a regular competitor this season. You are, Mike.
E
I get you, dude. Give me 10 seconds.
B
Nice.
A
Let's start off with Mike Howard. Mike, let's see.
B
Let me take you back to a better time. 2009, Fallout 4 is hitting the CN. Check this out. They put a big old. Big old Brotherhood of Steel face right on the front. And they just wrote out Fallout 4. And you said, hell, yeah, brother. And they said, welcome to the Providence. We need you to go craft a bunch of buildings. He said, I know, brother. And then they said, oh, there's a cool dog. And Everything was cool.
A
Mike's describing the game more than he's.
C
Describing the actual box. Right here.
A
Let's see. Greg Miller's.
C
I want to give a big shout out to Mike. He's missing a lot of key details, but. Yes. Brotherhood of Steel mask, front and center. The angled Fallout 4 logo. I put it on PlayStation 4. I put the ESRB rating, so no children play it.
E
Wow.
A
Wow.
E
You know, Thoughtful of you, Greg.
C
Thank you.
E
Looking out for the future of America. Appreciate it.
A
Now, are you calling the ESRB rating being on the top. On the bottom left as opposed to the bottom right?
C
You know what? It's open to interpretation.
A
Fair enough.
C
I was moving quick. There's a lot happening. Roger wanted that. I tried to make.
D
Said I wanted it again.
E
It depends on whether or not you're looking into a mirror while you're looking at this thing.
B
It's flipped as well.
A
All right, let's see Tim Getty's drawing.
B
You know, I was confident that this was the box art, but I. Instead, it was just the thumbnail that we used over and over.
E
Man and his dog.
B
This, of course, is the man and his dog. The buildings that your building fall out. I can see this as, like, key art.
A
Where's the dog's head?
E
It's in.
C
It's a moose.
A
Might be, like, you know, the European box art. I've never seen the European.
B
I'm gonna be real. Like, I would have seen more that this was the box art for Fallout 4.
E
Crazy.
B
You know the image I'm talking. Yeah.
E
Wasn't that, like, DLC that launched way later.
A
It's just the last shot of the first trailer. That looks like it's from the trailer. Yeah.
D
Yeah. But I know the image.
A
I won't give a tip of the hat to Tim. Thank you. Capturing that, because I do like that. Barrett, let's see the actual box art for Fallout 4.
B
Yeah, it sucks.
A
All right, so it's straight down the middle.
B
Let's.
E
Let's just show you.
C
Look at mine. PlayStation 4. Look where my rating is.
E
Am I a part of this?
D
Rating is.
C
Look at the angle.
E
Am I a part of this game?
A
Can we get a. Can we get a shot of Nick? Because Nick did his own drawing.
E
I mean, I feel like Nick did.
A
A pretty great job with this. Look at this.
E
Perfect.
A
Come on.
E
The best there ever was.
D
Great.
C
Nick.
A
I was gonna say, he does look like Ben. Yeah. Yeah. Go for it.
D
I. Greg's is good, but let me see Mike's. It kind of feels like he mixed up Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. Now let's look at. Let's look at Craig's moment.
A
Let's look at. Let's see Greg. I want to see Greg's again.
D
Yeah, because it feels like it's on an angle, and it feels like that's the fallout.
C
Well, I'm drawing quickly. Oh, wait.
A
But you also called out. You did call out the angle. You called out.
C
Go back to the Fallout 4 box.
E
You did say it was angle.
C
Go back to the real Fallout 4 box art. That's nice. Thank you, Barrett.
A
Roger might be making some points here.
C
What are you talking about? Look at.
D
It is.
A
No, it is angled.
E
It is angled.
A
Well, it's a fall.
C
Okay, okay, stop.
A
Stop, everybody.
C
Full stop, everyone. Full fucking stop. I feel like I'm about to take crazy pills. I'm losing my mind. To be clear, what I'm saying is my Fallout 4 logo is angled just like that one is.
D
Yeah, I'm talking about the.
A
Yeah, I was gonna say bringing up 76. The 76 box art is more sideways.
D
Yeah, I was talking about the Brotherhood of Steel guy.
C
Oh, I'm not talking about the dude at all. I'm talking about the Fallout 4 logo. I knew the Fallout 4 logo is askew.
E
We need to put these logos side by side by side.
C
No, I'm very clearly calling out the fallout about my. My Brotherhood of Steel man.
A
But I do think it's still more closer to Fallout 4 than 76. So 76 is like. He' sideways here. He just has, like, a little bit of a lean with a rock with it situation going on. Can I see mics again?
B
All face.
D
All face.
E
I mean, here's the thing.
B
All face.
E
Here's the thing.
B
That's what they say about no rating.
C
No askew logo, no PlayStation 4 box art like mine, but, yeah, face on a box. That's right.
A
This is tough.
D
This is really tough. Now let's see Tim's one more time for fun.
A
Let's make fun of Tim.
D
Oh, okay.
E
A boy and his dog. Fallout 4.
A
Can I see Greg's one more time? Okay. Are locking in their votes right here. Looks like we're all locked in. Let's start off with Nick Scarpino.
E
You know, I. Valiant effort from everyone, especially Tim, who took artistic liberties with this and just decided, you know what? He's got a dog and he's going to be a dad soon. So he's going to put it out there. He's going to put it all out there for everyone to see. I'm gonna Exclude Tim from this. I don't think he. He missed the mark just a little bit. But to me, it comes down to we're talking about accuracy, Right?
A
Yeah.
E
And when I think about the fall, I think about this. I mean, Greg had the parallelogram. He had the angle, but he didn't have the logo and the face in Congress with each other. And they are overlapping, in fact. So I'm actually gonna give this one to my guy, Snow bike Mike.
B
Feels good when you get an answer right there. I'm back in this. He's back, baby.
E
I'm also gonna give my ex credit for actually using the computer, because that was tough for him at first. That was hard.
A
Mike is new to the computers. My vote is gonna go to Greg Miller. This was a really, really tough one because to Nick's point, I think this comes back again, to which details matter to you. And Mike did have them more overlapping. Right. In conjunction with each other. But I do think Greg nailed the logo to an extent where I'm like, I just gotta. Like, not only do you have the Brotherhood of Steel helmet there, but I think the logo really completes it in having that parallelogram design to it. And so, yeah, Greg is in my vote.
E
Okay, tiebreaker.
D
Yeah, Greg did a great job with the logo, but I think he had too much of the shoulders of the Brotherhood of Steel small. And Tim, of course, drew a different game. So then I'm gonna give it to Mike. That's a good point, Mike. Yeah, you. You had the. The logo connection, and then also just the big face, which is all it is.
A
That means Mike got two votes, Greg got one vote. So that's 20 points to Mike and then 10 points for that round to Greg Miller. We have so much game left for you, but before we move on, Barrett, let me get a score recap. All right, now the score is. In last place. Is he a true competitor this season? Is he just a guest star this episode? He doesn't even know it. Is Mike Howard showing up for team purple with 20 points. Usual for this team and this game in particular. But in first place, tied with 40 points, doing a solid enough job. Both of these teams doing great. One of them apparently eats poop. Or is poop.
C
Is poop.
A
Is poop.
E
Equals poop. Is equal to poop.
A
It's Tim Geddes for team orange with 40 points and Greg Miller for team blue with 40 points. But it's still anybody's game.
E
I like the scoreboard font you use for that.
A
Thank you.
E
That top font right There. It's absolutely hideous.
A
Yeah, no, it's doing a lot.
E
It's the worst.
A
I've had people comment on it. Like, I'll be hanging out with friends who love watching game showdown down and they're like, what's up with that scoreboard? And I'm like, listen, we, like, we let Roger create.
D
Never told me about this whatsoever. There's some complaints about it.
A
We never talked about the scoreboard. No, no, we're keeping it. This is by far.
E
This is by far kind of Funny's best looking show with the exception of the scoreboard that brings it down below kfaf.
A
Yeah, yeah. Well, we need something like that. You know what I mean? We need something to keep us humble. Of course, like I mentioned, we have so much show left for you. But before we get there, I want to tell you about patreon.com kind of funny and YouTube.com kind of funny games where you can go and get the kind of Funny membership which allows you to get shows ad free. Speaking of ads, let us tell you about our sponsors.

A
And we're back with round number four. Contestants, I want you to draw the box art for Titanfall 2. Give me the Titanfall 2.
E
This is hard box art.
A
Yeah, we're stepping up the difficulty just a little bit here.
E
This is tough.
A
Yeah.
D
See, the Titanfall 1 and 2 just blend together in my head. Or maybe I'm just thinking about one and I never seen the second one. You know what I mean? It's just tough for me.
A
I don't even know what the Titanfall one box art looks like. That one is difficult for me.
D
See, that's the one. I would think. I would think this is two.
A
Oh, let me show you two.
E
Oh, that's cool.
A
Wow.
E
Okay.
A
Yeah, I feel like this one, this one I view, is iconic.
D
Actually, I think the first one's more iconic in my mind.
A
Really? Yeah.
D
I think it's just because maybe I've seen it. So many Xbox One conferences, they're like, is the one is what we got.
E
I don't think there's anything iconic about either of these.
D
Oh, wow.
A
Wow.
E
They're just very genuine.
D
What about Dune.
A
Just does something to.
E
Nick, let me tell you.
D
Let me see what conversations I've had about the Charlie Sheen documentary and Titanfall with the.
E
I mean, not Titanfall, the Charlie Sheen documentary. Got Mike to watch John Hughes movies and I'm very excited. And two, I had to finally say goodbye to Andy's snow bike or stand by one.
D
Pencils down, everybody.
A
Let's start off with Greg Miller. What is Greg Miller's interpretation of Titanfall 2?
C
You know, a lot of vibes. We got the green banner for Xbox says Titanfall 2. Then of course, your big bad Titan, you're the guy who can also climb in the Titan. It was rated M for mature. I had the blue sky going on there behind it because they were out on like, you know, it's B.S.
A
Tim.
E
Yep. I love. I love that Greg doesn't know what's going on. He throws the ESRB rating on it.
A
Just to have an extra roundtable. Just to get him one more point. That's a default.
E
It's smart, Greg. It's smart.
A
Let's see Tim's. Let's see. Let's go to Tim next.
B
So it's the dude climbing into the Titan.
A
Okay. You know. Okay. That.
B
That's a big Titan. That's a little cockpit hole thing.
E
That's a little more like the beginning of Mission Impossible 2 where he's climbing on the mountain. I just want you to know that. You know what? You know what? I'm kind of here for it.
B
Yeah.
E
I might get you extra points.
B
The Big Mac.
A
Let's see what Mike has.
B
Thank you. Let me take you back to a better time. 2008, Titanfall 2 has released.
A
What year is it?
B
This year I got Xbox anymore. And we're all happy. We rejoice. But it was the death of an EA title because they also released Battlefield and Call of Duty smashed in between them. And then there we are looking at the box art. Your Titanfall pilot is jumping in the air swoosh with the little double jump hover into a Titan that's reaching out his hand to say, come here. I'm gonna put you in my belly so you can pilot my Titan.
E
Damn.
A
That's pretty cool, Barrett. Let's see the actual Titanfall 2 box art. Jesus Christ.
C
Interesting green banner rating Titanfall 2. Dude. And the guy I was right. With the blue background right now. If I don't get a fucking clean sweep on this one. I'm with Andy right now live in the chat. I see you2fold6.
A
I agree.
E
Can I see if I can one up Greg on this? This because I drew my own as well.
A
Oh, yeah.
E
I do my own. I'm just gonna pull a Gregville here. I just drew the ESRB rating for this. That's just amateur. So you guys can vote me in on this one.
C
You shut up. Tim is. Nobody's crawling in his hole over there.
B
Whatever this might be Titanfall 1. I didn't tell.
D
Can we see Tim's again?
C
No. There's no need to.
A
Hate her.
E
Dude.
B
There's a dude in the back.
A
You're prominently featured, Tim. Yours is a lot closer to Titanfall 1.
E
Yours is Titanfall 1.
A
Yeah. Yours is Titanfall 1.
C
Yeah.
B
One of you threw me off because you're like. You think it's Titanfall 1. But it's actually 2.
D
You were wrong, Mike. Cassie, Mike's. One more time. Okay.
E
Okay. A guy running.
D
There's an action line.
E
There's an action lines. And I mean, they're on the wrong side from each other.
A
Mike did over. Over. Explain, because Mike said that the dude's.
C
Jumping into his hand.
D
You know, I'm looking at what we're playing favorites for.
C
Your best friend.
D
I'm looking what I got.
E
It's accuracy of things on the thing.
A
Can I see Greg's one more time?
D
They're just kind of staying kind of long.
E
I mean, look, is he running into the house or is that the SRB ring? I'm not sure what that is. It looks like he's going to the ouse. Like, hold on, I gotta take a kaka. And he had to get out of his Titan to go to the bathroom because there's no way to get.
A
It looks like him and his mech are on a date. That's what it looks like. They're both very happy.
E
Yeah, it does. Man.
C
Titanfall.
A
What a game. Jot down your answers here.
C
I feel like you should have looked at the final box art one more time, just to compare and contrast. But, I mean, it's your show, I guess.
A
All right, so I got my answer locked in. It looks like judges have our answers locked in. Let's start off with Roger McCorney.
D
Yeah, that's a tough one here, honestly, because. Great. Well, here's the thing. Greg got the blue, but, you know, they're just standing there like they're not doing anything. Yeah, of course. I can, you know, draw the big guy and the small guy.
C
Your best fucking friend, you know, described them doing actions that they aren't doing on the box.
D
I'm not listening to what he's saying. He said it also came out 2008. That's not true.
B
Artistic ability, not vibes.
D
Not true. Tim, you did draw the Titanfall one, but I thought. I thought it was pretty close, honestly, because he was doing something right. Like they were both in conjunction doing something, not just standing there in a blue sky. Mike, I did choose you because you did have the action lines. They were moving, and I think that motion is a huge part of that, that cover art. So Mike gets it for me.
A
Fair enough. I'll go next. My vote is going to Greg. I think Greg had enough of those details, right? The fact that, yeah, they're standing alongside each other. You had the blue sky in the background, which was very spec. I think the blue sky kind of did steal it for me. I was like, huh. Didn't even think about that as a. As a detail. But when you see the actual box art, it's like, okay, cool. And then. Yes, I think Mike. Mike was close. I think the action lines did help, but I. More of the, I guess composition of Greg spoke to me a bit more as accurate. And then, yeah, Tim to met a really good title one though. Like, if this was Titanfall one.
D
Yeah. You would have got.
A
Tim would have gotten Nick.
E
You know, when I think about Titanfall, obviously a game I've played a lot thoroughly, I think about. I think about the inertia of that game. Right? And I remember specifically, I never even. I was never standing still. I was never out there having a picnic with my big friend Greg Miller while I was standing there. His little guy. A special little guy. Right? So I'm gonna give this one to Mike.
A
Thank you.
E
I'm gonna give this to Mike for having the action lines.
A
That's 20 points for Mike and then 10 points for Greg Miller in that round. That brings us high game is there? Oh, yeah, it is a tight game.
E
I just want everyone to know in case you couldn't hear, in case the gate didn't let that through the microphone, Greg just sighed so hard.
C
It's just, you know, you're all so afraid to give me the points. You know what I mean? You want to make it competitive because when it's an actual fucking toss up, I win every time.
A
I think I voted for you two rounds in a row.
E
You know what I mean?
C
You're doing the right thing.
A
Thank you.
C
All right. That's why you got the outback gift card.
A
I don't know where it went. I took it. Yeah.
D
Roger, I will be going out back.
A
All right, that brings us to round number five. Contestants, I want you to draw the box art for Echo the Dolphin.
E
Oh, man, this is really good.
A
Echo the dog. Judges, do you guys think you have it?
E
I have a element of it.
A
All right.
E
No, I really don't. I mean, I would like to say I have a vague recollection of it, but I. I don't.
A
Yeah.
E
I just remember hating that game.
A
This is tough to say if I had or not because I. When I put into this together, I had to put together the final graphics, and so I. I just saw it. But I think without recently looking it up, I think I probably have it.
E
You do?
A
I. Yeah. Echo the Dolphin seems one of those iconic enough games where, you know, that image just sticks with you. The image sticks with you.
E
Yeah. I mean, I think I have an idea of it, but I, Yeah, yeah. Couldn't. I'm not going to waste.
A
Roger's giving it a shot.
E
Roger, let me see what you got so far. 10 seconds. Don't forget. That's, that was mine as well. That was what I was going to say.
A
I'm not going to lie. Roger's pretty spot on.
D
It's a very simple thing.
A
Yeah, yeah, I know.
D
I, I, that's it. Pens down, pens down, pens down. I guarantee you the, the, that is the right, like, direction.
E
Yeah. Direction.
A
All right, let's start off. Who do we start off with? Last time was it Tim. Let's start with Greg. Let's start with Greg this time.
C
Welcome to Echo the Dolphin on the Sega Genesis. As you can see, I have the Sega Genesis box art nailed. I have Echo jumping as he was.
A
That's good.
C
What screwed me up was when I started doing the logo. I tried to go back. I forgot it wasn't yet. I went back and then it fell apart getting the title treatment on there. But Echo, front and center, that beautiful Sega Genesis box there. That nice logo for the Genesis up there. Echo sitting there in blue with the blue behind.
E
Wow.
A
What would you say is the spelling here that you're, that you meant to do?
C
Well, no, he wanted it in yellow.
A
Yeah.
E
We'll just say the bottom. Greg, It's a shady.
C
I know.
A
Shut the up.
B
What the is the spelling, Greg?
C
It is E, C, C, O.
A
Okay.
C
Doesn't look like really. I know. That's why I started tapping on this thing. I thought was the undo. But it doesn't look like you. I mean, you can see first off. Yes. Let's be honest, everybody. Let's just fucking for once put down our fighting fights.
E
Okay.
C
Yeah, there is an H there, but you can see I drew it. I drew behind it.
A
That looks like an E and that, I mean, that big of an idiot.
E
Just for the cco.
C
But I did write an H and then I put a C there, but I was fine. I slammed this little button and then the thing just started rotating. I just started doing this thing.
E
Do me a favor.
D
Great.
E
Yeah, do me a favor.
C
Yeah.
E
You know how, like when it's a contract, you have to go in and initial your changes? Just initial that for me. I'll sign off on it. I sign off on it.
A
Let's see. Mike's.
B
Yeah. I'd like to take you to a different world under the water because a lot of people think that it's going to Free Willy style. Jumping out of the water. No, no, no. We're under sea and we're already in swimming.
D
Is that a silverfish?
B
No, that's the echo Silver dolphin. Yes, that is correct.
E
Right.
A
Echoes spelled with one C. Well, I.
B
Go with one C for eco. He's save the planet.
C
That was the message 2001.
A
Yeah.
D
It's kind of fire.
A
Gotta open the third eye. Let's see Tim's.
B
I don't know how to make colors work. Like, so much of this was supposed to be the correct colors, but it's fine. You get it. There are definitely two season echo. And there is a sun in the sky.
A
All right, let's see.
E
Echo is going left to right.
A
Yes. And his looks like he's going clockwise.
E
And in Greg's it was going the opposite way.
A
Good.
E
Good detail. Throw that out there.
C
I appreciate that.
A
Let's see the actual Echo the dolphin.
D
Yep.
A
All right.
E
Left to right.
D
Wow.
E
All of you put it above. Wait, which one is it? All right, I guess we're going to the left.
A
So there's multiple skus of Echo the dolphin. So I just put the. I just put. I mean, this would nail Genesis version.
C
And then you had the second beautiful Genesis logo.
E
I'll tell you what, though. I'll tell you what. When I think about Sega Genesis titles from back in the day, I don't know why I think about. I think about that grid. Yeah, that grid frame. It's so unnecessary. But it was just a way for them to just save some money on the printing costs.
C
Well, I mean, it was a sequel to the master system, which of course had the white and blue black one.
E
You're breaking my brain.
A
Can I. Can I see. Greg's in, I think a detail that we neglected to even point out there that I don't think any of the contestants got. There was another fish in the water. There was like a shark there. Yeah.
C
We only have so much time.
D
Okay, that's great.
C
I got the Genesis box, I got the grid. I got the color of the echo logo. But again, I did put in the wrong spot too.
B
It doesn't say the dolphin.
C
I ran out of time, but I did initial my change.
A
Initial the change.
D
It's there.
E
That's a legally binding document.
A
Can I see?
D
Wrong. Okay.
A
This is tough.
C
It actually isn't. This is another one that if I don't get it.
B
No such. That's My guy's facing the right way.
A
Way.
B
There's a song. I did add a song, but I have echo. Correct. And the Dolphin there.
E
He did put Echo the dolphin and.
C
I put Sega Genesis.
A
Let me see.
B
Yeah, but like, I don't need to see my.
A
No, no, There's a lot of blue.
B
There's a lot of blue.
A
Let me see the actual one again. This is. Yeah, because there's a lot of details here whether you're talking about even like the font treatment of the logo.
D
Now we have to have the conversation of, like, how much does Sega Genesis matter?
C
Well, you said draw the box art.
D
You know what I mean? Yeah.
C
You didn't say draw the pull out poster you put above your bed.
D
Did you have one?
C
No, I didn't like Echo at all.
E
Oh, no one did.
A
See, for me, the Sega Genesis is the same as putting PlayStation on the top.
D
Like, where it's like, how much is that worth, though?
A
I mean, for me personally, for a judge, not much. Like, maybe like, I like it as a flare, but it's like I'm looking more at the details of the actual image.
D
Yes.
B
Ah, let's just all do the right thing. Give me the points.
A
All right, I've locked in my vote. Judges are locking in theirs. I think this might be, in my opinion, the most challenging one thus far.
D
Yes.
A
All right, let's start off. Nick, do you have an answer? Let's start with Roger.
D
Yes. A tough one, everybody. Mike, you tried. I appreciate you.
B
A lot of blue on that screen.
D
Tim, right direction. You did add a sun. Greg, wrong direction, did misspell echo. So I'm giving it to Tim.
C
I spelled it right. It was just. I ran out of time. I see the H. There is an H there.
A
I agree. I'll go next. Again, this is a tough one. Again, it's another one where it depends on which details you find important, I think for all of our contestants. But really narrowing it down here to Greg and Tim. Right. Like, there are certain things here.
E
All of them are equal.
A
Yes, all of them equal. But if I'm narrowing down to Tim and Greg here, I think they both had details that were off. Right. And I think that brings it down to being there being a few key ones being the direction of Echo, the color of the font, that does matter to me. But also they both put the title in the wrong places. Anyway, I'm going to give it to Tim. I think the direction of Echo the dolphin really does seal it here for me. And so the composition being correct.
B
I love this stupid ass show.
E
I was torn on this one. We were told not to go with vibes, but sometimes you can't not let the vibes way in. Sometimes you can't let the VI not let the vibes overtake you. And the vibes for the Sega box art for me have always been about that incredible frame and that grid. Was echo spelled wrong? Yeah.
C
I tried to fix it right.
E
Was it spelled wrong? Yeah. Was the dolphin going the wrong way? Yeah. Did he add a son for absolutely no reason? No, he did not. I'm gonna give this to Greg. I'm gonna give Greg, again, getting a lot more of the elements right for me. And. And the color really goes a long way. I know. I know. Tim couldn't figure out he'd use color because he's a matte guy, but it.
A
Is what it is. That'll be 10 points for color.
C
Now take it out of the darkness. You see how you're in the. Yeah, there you go. Bring it all the way from the black to the color.
A
That'll be 10 points for Greg and then 20 points there. This is 10 Gettys, making this a very tight game game. But also, this is a fun situation we're in because that is the end of the proper portrait mode round. However, Mike, don't give up yet because we do have a bonus round. Before we get there, though, I want to hear a score recap from Barrett.
E
All right.
A
Now somehow still like kind of the.
D
The.
A
The same outcome as the last score recap.
D
Still in last place.
A
Definitely typical for team purple when it comes to drop drawing. It's Mike Howard for team purple with 40 points and still somehow tied on the second check. In it is Tim Gettys for team orange with 60 points and Greg Miller for team blue, also with 60 points. But it's still anybody's game.
E
Tim and Greg, my two dads.
C
Well, Mike, too.
B
Don't forget I have two children.
A
We don't know that for sure.
E
The paternity test is still out on those.
A
That brings us to our bonus round. It's a fan favorite. Roger's shovelware. And I say fan favorite is my favorite.
D
Thank you.
A
Because I don't have to do work for it.
D
Yeah, fan. He a fan.
A
I've asked the one and only Roger McCorney to create fake shovelware box art for four games that don't exist. We have four rounds that Barrett's gonna bring up one by one. Your task contestants, is to write down on your screen which game you think is the fake video game among the shovelware there. We'll go through all four rounds and reveal your answers at the end. So I want you to write down all your answers in one go. Each correct answer will be worth 20 points. So this is huge for big points here. Huge. You change the game. Love it. Love it. Are you ready?
C
Yeah.
D
The. The theme here is. Is the eShop. The switch. EShop specifically. So I went through and I found some nasty, nasty games, and I made a few nasty games as well. So let's see what you guys think.
C
There's four. You said it's four.
A
Barrett, bring up round number one. Which one is the fake game? We got beanie 42. We got bumblebee, Storm of Friendship, and we have Yeti Returns. Yeti. Which is also Yeti.
E
Yeti. Yeah, but it's Yeti.
D
That's what they're going for.
A
Yeah. T Returns.
E
Roger's not that creative. So that's gotta be real. That's gotta be real.
A
You'd be surprised because every single time.
D
Yeah.
A
Roger sends these to me, and I think I only get one out of four correct.
E
I mean, Roger's locked into the matrix on this.
D
I mean, Bumblebee, storm of friendship. Tori 2 is her. Tori 1 is their first story. You might not know Beanie.
E
I'm a huge fan of Toy, Something.
D
I made in a weekend.
A
Has Yatty returned? Is that. That implies a sequel as well, I think.
D
No. It could be the first.
E
It's true.
A
Let's bring up the second round. Which one of these is fake? We got Shakes on a Plate. We got Alexio, we got Calamari games, and we got Zoo Dentist.
E
I want Zoo Dentist to be real.
D
Yeah.
B
I want a PO to be real.
D
What the fuck?
A
And these are based off of ESHOP games. One of these is fake.
D
One of these is fake.
A
I can't believe that three of these are real. All right, let's move on to round number three. Which one is fake? We got Cool Car Racing, Big Splash, Pinball, Night Vision. See in the Dark. And Mini Football Club.
E
What's this bear doing?
C
He's seeing in the dark.
E
What's he doing in the dark?
A
Dark.
E
See in the dark.
A
And then finally, round four. Which one is fake? We got Jesus Christ. Hentai Girls. Naughty Gamer Dogs. Donuts Inside her bedroom. Bedroom. Bedroom is in parentheses. And we have Furry Land. Barrett Chuckle from the production room. Which one of these is fake?
E
This is outrageous.
D
The fact that three of these are real on the Nintendo eShop, of all places, is incredible. The Nintendo Seal of Approval. All these have.
E
How many points do people get per 20?
D
20.
E
20 points per.
A
20 points per.
E
Yes, it is.
D
It's hard.
E
This is crazy.
D
Yes.
E
The pressure's on.
B
What's your confidence level, Greg?
C
Oh, never good.
B
Ah, this. Yeah, like this. I'm like, I don't even know how.
A
To get in Roger's mind.
E
Smoke.
A
All right, let's go back to round number one. If you can bring it up, and we'll go through our answers here. Tim, let's start with you. What did you put down for round number one?
E
I put a down for round number one.
A
All right, Might be on.
B
I put C because it has friendship in it.
A
Oh, then, Greg, what'd you put down?
C
I put B. Tory 2.
E
ABC.
D
Yeah, go for it. The answer is D. Yeah. T returns.
A
So nobody got that one correct.
B
I wrote down D and I crossed it out because I was like, I just don't know.
E
That's the most creative thing you've ever done in your life. I'm very impressed.
A
What was the inspiration behind the Y?
D
I found the Y on Adobe stuck, and then I was like, what would be like, his tagline? Yeah, T. Yeah, T. He returns. He returns. He return. I just like the idea of him having a sequel.
A
Incredible fun fact. I have Tory 2 on my Switch, too. Fun game. Oh, okay.
D
Tory 2 is a real game.
A
Tori 2 is a real video game that I played Shoplift. No. Okay. Oh, if you like 3D platformers. Yeah. It's like a little indie 3D platformer.
D
Okay.
A
Yeah. If you like speedrunning, maybe. Yeah. Let's bring up the second round as we go. Let's start with Greg. What you got for this one?
C
O.C. calamari game. I want Alexia to be real.
D
I want to play Alexia.
A
Mike, what you got?
B
I went with C. Calamari games, Tim. I always shakes on a plane.
D
Well, Greg, good for you because you can play Alexia because Calamari Games is the fake video game.
A
Good for Greg and Mike there. It's huge.
D
Huge.
A
Huge.
E
It's a tight game.
C
What is Alexio?
D
I have no idea.
A
What is it?
D
We'll figure out Alexia. We'll find Alexio.
A
Let's bring up the third round. Let's start with Mike. Mike, what was your pick for this one?
B
I know Roger, and I know him well, and he's trying to throw me off the scent with the night vision because it's so Splinter Cell, but it's actually cool car racing.
A
All right, Tim, I put mini football cup, right? Greg?
C
I put C. Night vision. C In the dark. But while we're here, Alexio, a retro platformer with. From the good old days. Follow our small but courageous hero, Alex. Not Even Alexio as he sets off on a journey to find the sacred monobrow. Together with Alex, make your way to the end of a tedious shrine where only glory awaits. Right, it's $2.
D
Well, Mike knows me so well. Yes, it is. It is a cool car racing.
A
Which brings us to the final round and I think things are really tight right now as far as score.
D
This is awesome.
A
Like what's the update? What's the updated score we got here is. Does everybody have 60? Oh, no. Team blue has 80. So you got team orange with 60, team purple with 60 and team could.
E
Be another tie game here. Could be another tie game.
A
All right, round number four, fourth and final round. Tim, what you put down for this one?
B
I put C inside her bedroom. Mike, I'm happy to say that I know we all have different answers and I know the Nintendo Eshop I can promise you Hentai girls is definitely live and real. It is dogs, donut nuts. They're letting all this crap get up there.
A
All right, so you're saying B.
B
B is my answer.
A
Greg Miller.
C
I put a hentai girl's naughty gamer. I know there's a million hentai games and naughty games and naughty Greg's and naughty gamers, but I just feel like the combination maybe is the difference here.
A
All right, Roger.
D
I'm sad to report that it is D Furry land.
A
Nobody got.
D
No one saw furry land coming. I wish I did.
A
Barrett, if we can get our final score recap. The final score ends with another tie, but not the team who was tied the entire time. Tied for last place. It was one snow bike Mike Howard, who has finally felt the full weight of what portrait mode brings to people. For team purple with 60 points. Tied with him was one Tim Geddes for team orange also with 60 points points. But the winner, two for two. Back to back, it is the one, the only, Greg Miller for team blue with 80 points. Thanks again, Roger for putting together that round.
D
Yeah, of course. Man, I wish someone understood my love of furries. You would have been able to figure that one out.
A
Yeah, yeah. You know, I appreciate it. I appreciate it. And you, Nick, thank you so much for joining us for this episode.
E
Thank you for having me. And guys, thank you for letting me be a judge.
C
Great job today.
E
Great job.
A
My favorite episode of portrait. Yeah, it's really good. Brought us back every single.
D
I think people might like it this time.
A
I don't think they will. If we can bring up the star stating for you, of course, going into this episode, team blue is already up with one star earned for the season after our first episode. And now after episode two, Team Blue has earned themselves another star, bringing Greg Miller's Team Blue to two stars overall. With team Purple and team Orange still sitting at zero.
C
And just like last week, I'm happy to dedicate this win and this star to Gia and my unborn niece. I'm very excited to be playing this entire show. She's the best in their honor.
A
Huge. Love that. Of course, this has been game showdown.
C
Your nerdy tricky. Let me deliver the baby. How many stars to deliver the baby?
E
Are you giving him the stars in return for that? No, no, no, no, no.
C
Just to prove what a good uncle I'll be.
A
We'll be back next week with more game showdown. Until next time, it's been RP Pleasure to serve you.
C
No star trophy this week.
E
Mike and Alyssa are always trying to outdo each other. When Alyssa got a small water bottle, Mike showed up with a 4 liter jug. When Mike started gardening, Alyssa started beekeeping.
A
Oh, come on.
E
They called a truce for their holiday and used Expedia trip planner to collaborate on all the details of the trip. Once there, Mike. Mike still did more laps around the pool.
A
Whatever.
E
You were made to outdo your holidays. We were made to help organize the competition. Expedia made to travel.

Episode: Can You Draw Video Game Box Art From Memory?! - Game Showdown
Date: September 26, 2025
Host: Blessing Adeoye Jr.
Contestants: Tim Gettys (Team Orange), Mike Howard (Team Purple), Greg Miller (Team Blue)
Judges: Blessing, Roger, Nick Scarpino
This week, the Kinda Funny crew revives "Portrait Mode" as part of their Game Showdown series, this time with a new judge, Nick Scarpino. The challenge: can the contestants accurately draw famous video game box art from memory? With each round, the crew attempts to recreate iconic (and sometimes not-so-iconic) game cover imagery—without peeking—and the judges decide who comes closest. The episode is a blend of nostalgia, chaotic art, hilarious storytelling, and genuine tests of gaming memory, with plenty of playful jabs and friendly rivalry.

Blessing keeps the scoreboard flowing with regular updates, with Team Orange (Tim) and Team Blue (Greg) tied going into the bonus; Mike (Team Purple) trailing but not out.
The episode is fast-paced, chaotic, and filled with in-jokes, asides, and tangents about gaming nostalgia. The contestants balance actual gaming knowledge with wild creativity and relentless ribbing; the judges aim for fairness but openly admit to being swayed by “vibes” and personal memories.
The tone is playful, competitive, and occasionally absurd—especially when the group marvels at obscure shovelware or debates whether drawing a “choking demon” is more accurate to DOOM box art than, say, remembering the logo.
| Contestant | Team | Final Score | |----------------|---------------|-------------| | Greg Miller| Team Blue | 80 | | Tim Gettys | Team Orange | 60 | | Mike Howard | Team Purple | 60 |
Team Blue takes another star, thanks to Greg’s box art recall (and that sweet Sega Genesis grid border).
| Round | Prompt | Winner(s) | |--------------------------------|---------------------------|----------------------------------| | 1: DOOM (1993) | Draw DOOM Box Art | Greg (3/3 judge votes) | | 2: GTA Vice City | Draw Vice City Box Art | Tim (3/3) | | 3: Fallout 4 | Draw Fallout 4 Box Art | Mike (2/3), Greg (1/3) | | 4: Titanfall 2 | Draw Titanfall 2 Box Art | Mike (2/3), Greg (1/3) | | 5: Echo the Dolphin | Draw Echo Box Art | Tim (2/3), Greg (1/3) | | Bonus: Roger’s Shovelware | Spot the Fake Game | Greg & Mike (biggest gains) |
