Adio. Yay, Junior.
B
Good day, Greg.
A
Good day. How are you doing?
B
Well, how are you doing?
A
Good. I like your fuser shirt.
B
Thank you. Yeah, shout out to fuser for sending me this shirt like five or six years ago.
A
All right.
C
Thank you.
A
Impressive. It still looks so good because I never wear it. Yeah, okay, fair enough. You thought it was time to roll it out.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay.
B
I like the back of it too.
A
The camera show the back of it. Turn around. Andy, talk a little bit while so while the back happens.
D
Andy, talk you showing the back.
A
Thank you.
C
Good.
A
Nail it, Andy. Of course, he's the hispanic heartthrop Texas tree Latino heat. Clicking heads and ripping him to shreds. The globetrot and head shot and three point shooting root and tootin nitro rifle from Twitch TV. Andy Cortez.
D
I'm putting us above the 5,000 mark.
C
Wow.
B
Whoa.
C
Doing it yourself.
D
I'm tapping.
A
No, we already got above the 5,000 mark.
D
Well, it didn't update.
A
Oh, what are you talking about? It's updated. Yeah, it's updated.
D
Oh, I'm putting us up 5,500.
A
Damn. Look at that, look at that. Donate to the cause you love it. And rounding out the group, the tastemaker, Roger picorny.
C
G' day kim.
B
G', day, kim.
C
It's a reference. When I up on this.
D
When he couldn't, he didn't know how to say good day, Tim.
A
Oh, you're referencing yourself.
C
Yeah, referencing myself.
D
Okay.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
C
I still think about it every day.
D
Every day I wake up, it's like it just happened.
C
It just happened, bro.
D
Good day.
A
I'll tell you, last night I got home and man, that's a wave of depression. When I thought about how bad that games daily was.
B
Yeah. I leave for two days.
A
Oh my God. I couldn't. Jen's like, how was work? I'm like, I had the worst games daily my life. I was exhausted, I was starving and I couldn't pronounce anything because of it. It's going to be a meme for the rest of my goddamn life.
B
I Just saw a Reddit post. I was like, karen. You know what? Say it again.
A
Karen, Karen, Karen, Karen.
B
Why do you struggle so hard with Karen?
A
Because it's a dumb word.
D
Karen.
C
It is not real.
A
Not Karen. Karen, Karen, Karen, Karen, Karen, Karen.
B
Yeah, I saw the Reddit post. I was like, man, nobody kind of funny can read. And I was like, why you say me for?
A
I have one bad show. One bad show where every article I couldn't read something in it. I'm sorry. You know what I mean? Talking about Howard the Duck, eating goddamn shrimp, scaming all night long.
C
I'm sorry. I was busy.
B
Who's the best reader at kind of funny?
C
Definitely not me.
D
Tim.
A
Not me.
D
Yeah, I've heard Joey read out loud,
C
but I feel like Joey's really good. Hosting yesterday. Joey's hosting yesterday.
A
Nobody's perfect. Right? I don't. I don't vote Tim. All right.
B
Really?
A
I feel Tim oftentimes is powering through, like, you know what I mean? Where it's. Tim, slow down. Take a breath. Where he's trying to get the entire paragraph out when he should be. Getting one sentence out is real good. Yeah.
C
Less is number one.
B
I've had to practice a lot, though.
A
I think that. Well, that's the thing where it's like. I think it's offensive to come at us when it's like, oh, for sure. Yeah, we're all gonna have a bad day. You know what I mean? I've seen everybody else struggle, too.
D
I think I'm the best speller.
B
I'm a pretty good speller.
A
Spell necessary. Because I can't.
D
And E, C, E, S, S, A, R, Y necessary.
A
Damn, there's high. That's. That's good.
B
That Andy versus Blessing spelling bee.
A
I was going to say that's a party mode. The kind of funny spelling bee nightmare. Put it on the calendar.
D
Blesser. Is there, like, something there? Oh, like a. Or a. Or a game showdown. Like game within the game.
B
I like that. Blessed. I'll think of. I'll think about that.
A
I didn't. You were. You haven't been around to hear about it. We're doing two more kind of feudies on Monday.
B
Oh, yeah, they're good.
A
Oh, when I'm right. First off, the prizes. Very excited about.
D
Wow.
A
The. One of the. The finale question of the second episode. Excited about. And then the other questions, man, I was like, oh, they're gonna be so pissed. When I was getting the answer stabilated, like, oh, they're gonna hate the kids. They're gonna Hate the kids.
D
I'm already mad.
C
I'm excited.
B
Somebody says a blessed area conversation abc. Hey, maybe that's like a games cast.
A
Yeah, yeah, we'll think. I'll work on it. Work on it. Because this is the kind of funny games cast. Each and every weekday we run you through the biggest topics in video games. If you're watching live, super chat to be part of this show not on YouTube. In solidarity with the general strike today, send all of your super chats to kindafunny.com donate where we are fundraising for the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund which directly supports urgent basic needs, legal services and mobilizing and organizing in Minnesota. If you are abstaining from spending money during the strike today, we will also be donating our YouTube and Twitch ad revenue from today's videos. So yeah, you can. When you go to kind of donate you can then leave a little thing and I have it pulled up and it's live updating right there as look over here. Right. Zip along Super Chats it says thanks in part to Greg's general advice about making content. I decided to start writing about games on substack also. Fuck ice. Exactly. Kobe says love the action. Let's get out there and do the right thing and protect our people. Much love from Seattle.
B
I've been thinking about doing a substack so maybe a blessary conversation the name
D
of my substack and then Greg Miller
A
donated and said Team Orange hates ice. Know what I mean? Oh, it's actually. And I hate to do this. I hate. I haven't seen anything from Team Blue or Team Purple about it. So that's just a heads up, you know what I mean?
C
Just.
B
Andy, what do you have to say about the. As the captain of Team Purple we.
D
We also agree
A
odd man out, you know what I mean? Remember of course we couldn't do this without your support. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Zombie.
D
This is the color of
A
for now. Let's begin the show with what is and forever will be the Roper Report.
D
Top pick of this show.
A
I have an insane Roper Report though today so I wanted to say.
C
Yeah, you want to say
A
today's topic of the show of course is every game coming out in February 2026. If you're new around here, this is us running you through every game coming out for a given month to have a great time on. We of course are pulling from releases.com just a comprehensive, amazing website that I'm happy to have in my life. Thanks to you. You did.
B
Thank you.
A
You knew it. You did it. You shared it. You went there. We thought Game Informer had us covered. Turns out they're asleep at the wheel,
D
you know what I mean?
B
Alex Van Akin. What's he doing today?
C
Let's call him.
A
Are we going after Van Akin now too, for something? Okay, cool. We begin on February 2nd when Megastore Simulator drops on PC. Start with $400. Choose a department from clothing, toys, bakery, sports, grocery, music. Buy your first shelves and products open for business and grow. I toss this in here because I imagine this is a snow, like, Mike thing probably.
D
Yeah.
A
I look at this and it's like, I really wish I had the time and patience because running a Costco sounds pretty awesome. You're running a Costco.
C
Okay.
A
Do you understand I'm into this? Do you. Can we do a party mode of this? You and me run a Costco? I don't have a party mode.
C
We can do a stream, though. I like this idea. I like the bread. I like bacon bread and bacon bread. Bacon bread and bacon bread. And that looks like some pretty good bread. Yeah, it's interesting because, like, there is such a huge genre now of just like the fucking asset flip, like AI generated imagery. But like also these games are fun as fuck. So that is, that is also kind of the issue here. But yeah, this, this kind of scratches that.
A
I don't know that part of this. I, I know Mike plays all the simulators, the card shops or whatever, and is there a lot of AI garbage?
C
Well, it's not necessarily the games are AI, but like the imagery. If you look at like the, like the key art, it's definitely like an AI generated.
A
Got it, got it, got it, got it, got it.
C
But yeah, that's actually kind of looks good though. So, you know.
D
Yeah. And I, I would almost guarantee that 97% of the assets here, you know, just bought somewhere, which is.
B
Oh, yeah, yeah.
D
That's what the business, you know, marketplace.
B
When you say looks good, what does that mean?
C
I mean, it looks good in terms of it will scratch the itch that I'm looking for, which is the card shop simulator stuff, which is building out the thing, getting the you dopamine of people coming in, making more money, expanding my store. It's gonna just have that infinite loop. It doesn't look like, like a handcrafted game.
B
There's one time that Andy pointed out that these games don't have any shadows here.
D
You just cast a shadow for the love of.
B
And it's ruined. It's like it put it. Like it made it make all make sense to me.
D
Right.
B
Of like every single time we look at these games. Why do they all look like.
D
It doesn't always got to be running on low settings. Wherever you're showing it on, you got
A
to run it everywhere.
D
Put a light source somewhere.
C
It's for the people.
D
Jesus.
C
Played on mobile. Probably not.
D
So they're usually just so unappealing to look at that I don't want to give them a shot.
A
Understandable.
D
You know, I don't want to look at him like.
A
I don't want to be mouse the keyboard in this, you know.
D
Oh, okay.
B
I just want an art style.
D
Yeah.
C
Well, one day with the Steam machine, use a controller.
D
Oh, sure.
A
There you go. That's what I want. And I'm going to. We're going to run through obviously a whole bunch of games here. Panel. Stop me if I get to something you do want to talk about. Like. February 3rd, Aces of Thunder, the Flying.
C
No.
A
Okay. It's on PlayStation VR. I know people are stoked about it. February 3rd. Yep. Yep.
B
Yeah.
C
This is gonna be a party mode if you've looked.
A
Really?
C
Trailer.
B
Yeah.
C
If you look at this trailer, you're playing as a bunch of wizards. It's kind of like the friend slopish type deal.
A
Let me give you the breakdown. A magic themed co op horror game where you and up to five friends are minions summoned by a wizard to break into their rival's towers and cause mayhem. Try to fulfill your vandalism target with an assortment of spells while avoiding magical beasts and monsters that protect the tower.
C
Yeah, I love that gargly art style right there. With the post processing that they got going on there, this is gonna be a fun little stream. Hopefully it's a party mode and hopefully it's as. As good and as silly as it looks.
A
Okay. I like that idea. From there, on February 3rd, you also get Dark Rights of Arkham. February 3rd also sees Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition. February 3rd also sees Sector Zero on PC. And then February 3rd, Final Game is an update here. The Helldivers 2 Siege Breakers, War Bond.
D
Wait, hold up. You can. You could just have like Arkham and not Batman. Shit.
B
You know, I wasn't gonna say it.
A
Yeah, I mean, I mean it's just. Yeah.
B
The Dark Rights of Arkham.
D
I thought that was just a Batman thing.
A
I mean, it's well known as Arkham, but it's just a word. Right.
D
But like a.
A
According to this, Arkham primarily refers to a fictional Massachusetts town created by H.P. lovecraft. So not even a. Yeah, DC.
D
Damn.
B
He did it first.
D
So Bruce Wayne is just stealing stuff?
A
Well, I mean, you know, Bruce Wayne named Arkham, Bob Kane and Bill Finger probably stole it. You know what I mean? Don't get me started.
B
Wait, did Bruce Wayne invent the prison?
D
Huh?
B
Did Bruce Wayne invent Arkham?
A
And then on February 3rd, helldivers two siege breakers. War bond drops. This is one of those, like, you're
C
looking bear saw here, man.
A
Helldiver, still going strong, still going on. Remember this? I miss those days.
B
Yeah.
A
I missed that month where all I did was stream Helldivers with you in there.
C
What is it going to take for you to get back?
A
I don't know. Maybe a big expansion would. It's not even like Helldivers, I don't feel is a game. Like, I'm off the cycle of that. I couldn't. You can jump back into Helldivers anytime, right? There's no story. No, but it is that idea of like, I feel like I got a lot of fun out of it in that. That year, that first year of it. And so, no, I'm not like, looking at it going, okay, cool, I need to go and really dive in and get crazy with it again. It would be friends, though, you know what I mean? If any of my friends played this
D
game, you know, I had my fun with it.
A
Yeah.
D
You know, there's nothing that I really enjoyed my time with it, but there's nothing that's really making like. I'm never aching to like, God, I got to get back in there.
C
You know, the only thing that got me interested was the fact that they like dropped the size of it on PC by like a full fraction. I don't know if you saw.
D
Oh, right.
C
Like, it's like what, 20 gigabytes or 12g? Something insanely small comparatively to like 100 gigabytes that they had before. So I was like, oh, maybe if I just put it on my Steam deck. I just have a little like, you know, nighttime before bed play. A little bit.
B
Bit of it.
A
Yeah.
D
I bet it doesn't run great on Steam Deck. I think it does. Oh, really? Wow.
C
Fuck you.
D
In your face. He said, I think it does.
A
We got two games coming out on February 4th. The first is Car Service Together. This is PC Early Access running a car Service. And then also is masterpiece. This is coming to piece here.
B
Master of Peace.
A
Master of Peace. Sorry. Somebody was editing it as this happened.
C
Yeah, I moved this. All right.
A
What the fuck is your problem? Why'd you want to make me look like fucking. I'm trying to recover from yesterday's news. It's not going well. Somebody call this out. Who's about this game?
B
I mean, I think I might be. I didn't highlight this, but I'm looking at the trailer.
A
Then I highlighted it for you because Master of Peace is a deck building roguelike inspired by classic board games, offering simple rules with deeply strategic gameplay in a world shrouded by black mist. Set out on an expedition with your own band of mercenaries to uncover the secrets hidden in the darkness. I thought this looked like a blessed game.
B
Yeah, Steam is always doing fests or whatever.
A
They love a good fest.
B
And I don't know if it's already done, but they were doing Board Game Fest, which I thought was interesting. I saw this as of yesterday. Right now, the homepage says they're doing fucking Steam Detective Fest, which is also something I'm interested in. But I digress.
D
But you're mad about it.
A
For a second. You're pissed off, but I'm mad because
B
I'm like, oh, here we go. Steam Board Game Fest is happening through February 2nd. I was scrolling through Steamboard Game Fest yesterday. It made me realize that I think there's a whole section, a whole category of game that I didn't realize was there. But when you see it, it's like, oh, yes, of course. Like, there's plenty of video games that are straight up board games.
A
Sure.
B
And as I was scrolling through, I was like, fuck, I want to play all of these. I'm like, I'm like seeing Dorfromantic board game Poppy. My board game Tabletop Poppy. Wingspan, which I love playing the board game of Wingspan, but I didn't think about playing the video game. And so Loki, I'm like, I might purchase that. I bought Tablet Simulator yesterday, dude.
C
That's an OG classic.
D
Yeah.
B
And so I. My heart's open, Master of Peace. I might check out just for the thing of, like, yo, I. This might be the year of just me playing tabletop games in video game form.
D
Oh, those are soldier pieces. Yeah, I, I, I couldn't tell. I, they looked like little like churches or something. I didn't know what they were putting down on the board, but it's little dudes. Okay, little guys, before you click off
A
this page, did anybody here do battle? Marked the. Yeah, we did a stream for it. I, I'd taken a review code for it. When they hit me up about it, I thought it looked great. I still haven't played It.
D
It's awesome.
B
Yeah, I want to play it real bad.
D
It's awesome. And I want to play more of it. We did a sponsor stream of it, and I want to do just another random stream of it because it's.
A
I want to play.
D
It's Baby's first Baldur's Gate. It is, like, just. It's way more, like, watered down, which I. In a good way. Like, that's not a derogatory thing to say. Like, how long is the game? I don't know, but it's just way less complicated than. Than having just a random person hop into, like, a Baldur's Gate campaign with you. It's very, very simple in terms of the moves that you're picking and. All right, well, I can move five pieces here, but then I have this ability that, you know. You know, hits this guy because he's in my range. And don't explore too far out. You might, you know, aggro some random enemies. I thought it was really awesome when we played it, but it's a story based, like.
C
Yeah, okay.
D
Yeah, it's like. Yeah, there's like random side quests and NPCs that you could choose to go, you know, oh, my dad went missing over here. Can you go find him? Yeah. It's really, really neat.
B
Is it like a party mode vibe or is it just like a regular stream vibe?
D
It's like a regular. Yeah. Unless we were to get all into character, but that. The only kind of unfortunate thing is that you can't, like, just create a character. There are. There are like five maybe people you could choose from, and one of them is like a big dragon guy. Another one is a. A dwarf or whatever. And unfortunately, you can't just like, I'm gonna make my own dude. You just kind of rename them.
A
Of course, we are encouraging you today to go to kind of funny.com donate as we raise money to help Minnesota. Of course you can. Super chat over there, just like Rabbit of Canterbaugh did. Blessing. If you haven't, you should try board Game Arena. Quite fun. Has lots of games. I primarily play Ark Nova Space Base in some Terraforming Mars.
B
Is it like Club 51 or whatever the fucking Nintendo game was?
A
Yeah, I remember that. I know exactly what you're talking about.
B
Board gamer. I'm gonna look into it. Thank you.
A
More super chats that have come in. Not about games. Kyle super chatted on Kind of Funny Dot com. Donate instead. Call your representatives. Abolish Ice the Light Tower. Super Chat said shout out to the fantastic kind of funny community. Fuck ice. T. Roy Jenkins says using my 33rd birthday tax to once again, for a good cause. Thank you all for everything y' all do. Most importantly, fuck ice. Remember, of course we're raising money. We crushed it. We put a $5,000 on it. You all pushed forward on that for the Minnesota Immigrant Rapid Response Fund. Let's see if we can get it higher than that. All right, let's keep track of that.
B
Board game arena seems like a thing that I would have been really into in like elementary school when we would just play flash games during computer lab hours.
A
Sure.
D
And then eventually the school district would block the website. Oh, my God, the worst.
B
That's how I learned about. What are they called?
D
The calling representatives?
B
No, not calling representatives, even though you should call your representatives.
C
Just talk to them.
B
Things that take your IP address and put it somewhere else. VPNs.
D
Yeah.
A
February 5th sees a whole bunch of games coming out, but it's headlined on this list by Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined. Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is a remake of 2000's Dragon Quest VII, fragments of the Forgotten Past. Both returning fans and new players will experience a standalone, epic single player RPG adventure to save the world. Now lovingly reimagined with a handcrafted aesthetic that make the game feel like a living storybook. Roger. Hi. You and I played the demo for this. You actually went and played it across the country at one point.
C
Yeah, I played a longer demo demo of that, a little bit of the intro and then a little bit later on in the game. Yeah, I had a fun time with this, my first ever Dragon Quest that I touched. And yeah, I love the art style of it. It runs really great on switch to the demo and then the preview that I played, I'm very excited for this one. I'm gonna try it out for sure.
A
Yeah, me too. You know, coming off of Octopath Traveler 0 and realized I'm not as broken as I thought I was jumping into this and being another turn based jrpg, I was like, okay, cool. Like I like what I'm playing here. As always, the concern becomes, all right, the story seems a little thin, but it's enjoyable and I'm having, you know, blah, blah, but it's like, okay, is this. How many hours am I committed to actually going with this jrpg and how far would it go since this is
C
notoriously the longest, one of the longest JRPGs of all time. Yeah, of course they cut it down a ton, but still, yeah, that and then not to spoil anything, we have Yakuza later in the month. So I'm going to be kind of back to back of like, what the fuck am I doing here, guys? Like which, which one's going to the wayside? So really interested to see if this one can kind of rise to the
A
top of the soup again. As somebody who never played the Dragon Quest before, you start again, they do say rise to the top of the soup. More games here on the 5th. You're getting Menace on PC, Loveish on Switch 2 PS5 and others, and then Hermit and Pig on Mac, Linux and PC. This one I highlighted to call out. We've talked about it before. It's got a goofy little art style to it that I think is interesting.
D
Oh, it looks like Undertale Hermit and
A
Pig is a turn based adventure RPG about a reclusive and his truffle hunting pig. These unlikely heroes must explore, forage, fight and overcome unfortunate personal shortcomings to solve this mystery of a sinister corporate plot.
D
Wow.
A
I mean again, I'm gonna. Am I gonna push myself on the turn based RPGs back to back here. Will there be room? Hopefully. This is a shorter one than I would imagine, a Dragon Quest or whatever, but I like something. I look at this and I go, I like what I'm seeing. I don't know, you know, if the game will connect for me, if I want to play the whole thing, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But I like it. I like what I'm seeing.
B
I'm in the same place for me as somebody who loved Earthbound, love undertale. It's getting some, it's giving some of that energy. But also I played so many games that go for that similar thing that don't end up sticking with me, but it's one that I hope to hear good things about. And if people love it, I'll definitely check it out.
D
I love how clean all the art is too. Yeah, very cute, very appealing.
A
Bless. I'll check it out for you. I'll get back to you. How about that?
B
I appreciate that.
A
No problem. Here come a whole bunch of February 5 games really quickly. The run on PC. Anthem number nine on PC PUBG blind spot comes to PC early access. Jimmy in the pulsating mass comes to PlayStation, Xbox and a whole bunch of places. Sea of Remnants gets a closed beta test. Evil Inside comes to Meta Quest 3 and PSVR2.4 PGP4 Player Grand Prix comes of all the switches. Taxonot comes to PC and Linux. Sid Meiers Civilization 7 comes to iOS and then your final game on February 5th that I want to call out is Choppy Cuts. Choppy Cuts is literally, what if we did overcooked but made it a hair salon? Okay, Chop chop, make it quick. Throw everything, even customers. It's all about efficiency. Anyone in the way. A quick smack will keep things moving. Build your team and sharpen your scissors. Tackle challenges from 50 levels of basic trims to wild frenzies across the world. Each stylist has a distinct style and abilities. I don't think I'll actually play it unless Mike grabs me for a stream, but I looked at this and I was like, damn. What I really want. What I really, really want. Thank you. Is the return of Diner Dash. I understand co op of this and we're going to go do this, but Diner Dash. Roger, I need a new diner.
D
I'm awoken something within.
C
Roger, I've been thinking about Diner Dash a lot lately. I've been playing Diner Dash a lot. What?
A
What?
C
I'm just going on the browser playing Diner Dash and I feel like there is room for an improved diner dash in 2026. That kill. And I just don't know what that is. I just think that somebody can go out there and make Diner Dash the, you know, reimagined, and it would kill is Greg Holland.
B
He's going to pitch this too. Who owns Diner Dash.
C
I think it's just like, public, you know, it's like. Yeah, it's like Sherlock Holmes.
B
That's like Winnie the Pooh lies of Diner Dash. Fuck out. That was good.
D
Hi, am I on the air?
A
You're on the air. John Drake from Disney. How are you? Here we go. It's fine. No, this is good. Me and Roger are simpatico right here, and we have a pitch for you. All right. It's time for Diner Dash to come back. We know you probably don't own Diner Dash. That's superfluous.
C
Everybody does.
A
You have the connections at Disney, right? Disney Dash. Right. And so we're making food at the theme park and we have to get it out and serve all the people and get them their churros and get them their little Mickey ice creams and do all that jazz and get them turned faster.
D
The banana thing, the dole. That's it.
A
That's it. That's the game. Go make it.
D
Let me ask you a question. When you go to the theme parks,
A
as we've done once or twice together, we have.
D
Do you see the churro guy, like, making the churros a lot.
A
No, but in Diner Dash. Did you see all this stuff happening that happens in Diner Dash? No, this isn't. This isn't that way. Here comes Roger.
C
Okay, John.
A
Excuse me. I said here comes Roger. John.
C
Okay. John Drake. Also, here's another pitch. Instead of, you want to go the Disney theme park route, you maybe want to go the Star wars route, and you want to do Dexter Jetson over there in Star Wars Episode 2. And he's hanging out and he's doing the diner dashing with all of his many arms. I think this is a great multimillion dollar idea. I will take 25%.
D
What is this? TikTok voice?
A
Shark Tank. I don't care for it.
B
Wasn't it.
A
I know he was presenting a PowerPoint to you there. That was insane. I didn't know about that, everybody.
D
It was very odd and awkward, but
B
I'm here for it.
A
Okay?
D
But thank you both for your consideration. It's a hard pass.
A
Okay.
B
Wow.
A
Because of YouTube, the idea is not bad. Okay. You know, it's just the.
D
The pictures is the problem. Get me a Tim Gettys.
A
Is he busy? Is he doing anything right now? Sadly, yeah. He's doing Baby Dash right now. I know, right? All right, bye. I love you very much. Love you too.
D
Bye.
C
He's never been on Shark Tank. He doesn't understand.
A
February 6th sees a bevy of games coming out, headlined by the one, the only. Well, the third Neo 3 coming to
D
PC PlayStation 5 demos out now.
A
You can get a cool hat.
D
Yeah, I can confirm that I have been playing it and we'll be talking about it, you know, sometime soon, but apparently the demo is chunky as hell. People are saying the demo available right now on steam is like 15 hours or something.
B
No way.
D
Yeah. It's a chunker. It's a chunker.
A
So the Rise of The Shogun and Neo 3, the latest entry in the Dark Samurai action RPG series. Blessed. Yeah. Where does this fall in your hype?
B
Like, I'm. Me and Andy talk about this all the time, where it feels like team ninja games can, like, kind of come in around, like that 7, 8 range for us, which when it comes to action games, there are so many fucking amazing action games that when I play something that kind of falls below that, it can kind of like get lost in the shovel for me. And so I know for us, at least for me, I've, you know, played through wo long fallen Dynasty, enjoyed it fine. Played through Stranger paradise, and I like that because the Final Fantasy aspect more so than even just the gameplay itself, I've given Neo's 1 and 2 a shot and very quickly fell off of those as well as the Ronin started. That also didn't resonate with me. And so Nioh3 is not one that I think is going to blow my mind, but I want to give it a shot. You know, I'm going to continue to give these games chances because I know how many people love Nioh and fuck with Neo, but I don't know. I'm in a weird place with it too. It's also just a big year for action games, and so I'm trying to pace myself as we're getting, you know, Beast of Reincarnation and Phantom Blade Zero and others that are coming out.
A
Okay, fair enough. Also coming out on February 6th is my hero Academia. Alls justice mash through My Hero Academia's final story arc and triumph over your foes in spectacular three versus three battles. Bless.
B
Yes.
A
3v3 battles fighting my hero. Is this your JM too? Where are we at with this?
B
My Hero is one I've only seen the first season of My Hero. Of course, Barrett, Courtney, and Snow White Mike love My Hero Academia. I'm here for an anime fighting game. Y' all know how much I love when fighting games, period. But then also games like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and stuff like that. These games often get a bad rap, but I like the energy. I like the energy of a Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. For me, there are games that I like to have installed just for if I get bored one day.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
You know, make action figures, fight each other. That's what these games are for me. And so, you know, kind of looking forward to this one just to, like, tinker around with it and see what it's like. But. But I'm curious to see if this resonates with the audience more so than a lot of other arena fighters do.
A
Okay, fair enough. February 6th has three more games. JDM Japanese Driftmaster coming to PlayStation 5, Bandit Trap coming to everything PGA Tour 2K25 come to Switch 2. Then you go to February 7th, which gets Carmageddon, Rogue Shift everywhere. February 9th has Circle Empires 2 on PC. February 9th has Goblin Sushi on PC. Early Access. Raj, I looked. It's not what we're looking at.
C
I literally was looking@the releases.com thing.
A
Come give me a hug.
B
Oh, my God.
D
What's happening here?
A
We're gonna do. We're gonna bring back Diner Dash like nobody ever has. Then February 10th has a slew of games coming out, including Theater of Idols. This of course, is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X PC. This is the Blumhouse horror game that Madeline Stanley just came and previewed with us. Yeah. Again, what I played of it, I didn't. It's not a game I'm going to jump into, but I know Mike's going to try it out, so that's exciting. But after that, of course, on February 10th, is Mugenics coming to PC? Edwin McMillan coming.
B
Jesus Christ.
A
Dropping Mugenics on it. Where are we at boys with this one? Of course, the creator of Binding of Isaac's next game. Of course, he was team meat. What is. Do we have hype levels for this? Andy Blessing. This seems like your kind of games. Jesus Christ. This trailer.
D
Yeah.
B
What's up?
C
What's up?
D
He's going crazy mode. No, I have no idea. Never really. I missed the boat with Binding of Isaac.
B
Okay.
D
I was. I don't even know if I was like playing a whole lot of video games at that time. And so it's one of those that reminds me of like Slay the Spire where it was just in a time period where I just wasn't really gaming like I am now.
A
Yeah.
D
And so I definitely missed the boat on a lot of those titles except for Super Meat Boy. But I've never been the biggest fan of the art style. Like, and Nick and Mugenics doesn't really seem to be any different for me. Like it doesn't look like from a. Just a visual aesthetic standpoint that, oh, I want to play this because the art style is cool and hopefully the gameplay can deliver it just.
A
I don't know if you've missed the. If you're an audio listener, haven't seen it and you don't know what this is. Level up your team as you venture further and further from your home, collect unique items, defeat epic bosses, gain mutations, and return home so you can breed and further your bloodline in this turn based legacy Roguelike draft sim About Cats
B
this trailer is crazy. This is one that I want to be excellent purely for my fantasy critic. This is one of the ones I draft.
A
Jesus Christ.
B
This trailer. This is one of the ones I drafted based off of the pedigree of the developer. That said, I do like the art style it. I think there's something about it that brings me back to being on new grounds in high school and just like seeing all of like the unique types of games that people would make in their basement or whatever. And you know, the Flash, Adobe Flash Player or whatever. And that appeals to me. I think there's something that's nice about that and I think there's something that is unique about it as well. Binding of Isaac was one that I remember trying back in the day.
A
Yeah.
B
Didn't resonate with me at the time because I didn't understand Roguelites, but now that I do, that's one that I would go back and I'm sure I'd fall in love with Mugenics for all the shit that it has going on in the trailers. Seems wacky. Seems very up in a lot of ways. A lot of it vibes with me. A lot of this stuff is stuff I want to try out.
C
Yeah. Binding Isaac is actually one of my favorite games of all time. I adore that game. Yeah. Especially on the Vita. That was like my Vita game. I was obsessed with it. But so, yeah, I adore Binding of Isaac. I love Super Meat Boy. I'm not as excited for this one. I think the turn based element of it is just not really vibing with me. And like, I don't know, I'm fine when you have like a crying baby and all this like weird gross stuff there, but when you start doing cat stuff, I don't know, maybe it's just I love cats, so. And not like, you know, I'm not like triggered or anything, but it's more of just like, oh, this is like. This is like actually like scratching that. Like, oh, this is actually a little bit too gross for me. So I'm going to try it out, but we'll see. Yeah, I think I'm a little bit less excited than I wanted to be on paper.
A
Okay, well, how's everybody feeling about reluded coming to PC, Xbox Series X also on February 10th. A crew, a job, a plan. Toss those ingredients together and you've got yourself a classic heist, but with a few twists. Your crew members are everyday citizens from different countries in Africa with pretty normal careers. The job is to liberate African artifacts from Western museums. And the plan? Well, that's up to you. To create near the end of the 21st century, the political powers that be brokered that be brokered. A transatlantic returns treaty promising the reparation of African artifacts to the museums. Good old fashioned diplomacy was working until it wasn't. An amendment switched up the terms and conditions of which objects were to be returned. Museums not knowing how to publicly display it. After gas, we came back slowly moving artifacts from public display. This doesn't tell you I thought I was trying to get to what the game description was of the gameplay for somebody. Imagine a side scrolling here as we go through chase down. It reminds me a lot of the aerial night game we enjoy.
B
Yeah, I forget the name Repatriation, by the way, not reparation.
A
Oh, so sorry.
C
Okay.
B
Yeah, this is when I played the demo for. I'm really looking forward to this. So yeah, like you mentioned, it's a 2D platformer. I'll go further and say it's a 2D puzzle platformer. The idea like Greg mentioned is you're going into these museums and repatriating these African artifacts. You, you can like plan out your run. It's very interesting. You have a crew of people that you work with with. You place them and place certain things in the level so that you can make your escape cleanly. And I was hopping into it thinking that like, okay, cool, I like the idea, but am I gonna like the gameplay? Gameplay was really fun. I really, really dug the platforming. As you're watching in the video, right? Like you have kind of like a parkour mechanic where you're jumping over all these things. But if you time your button press, you'll get like a little boost. If you press, I think on controller you're pressing square or X as you're jumping over thing and it's like boosting you're going to. I love this. I'm somebody who, of course, my family's Nigerian. You know, I'm Nigerian. I want more games to either take place in Africa or have African culture represented in it. I put up a tweet or a BS That's a blue sky. Tim. Yeah, Last week saying that Forza should come to Lagos. Like I would love to see more games, you know, explore African culture. And the fact that this came out, this is coming out, it feels good to play. It has such an interesting concept. I'm all the way in.
A
Oh yeah, Yeah.
D
I only thought it was a sort of 2D side scrolling platformer. But to see some members of your crew only able to do certain mechanics and allowing other members of the crew to get through certain spots, I. It added a puzzle aspect I had no idea even existed in this.
B
It's the idea that you're trying to get out as fast as possible. And so if you're not placing your crewmates correctly on the escape, you'll grab the artifact and they're trying to go and then all of a sudden you get stopped by the door and then you get caught by the cops.
D
Gotcha.
B
Okay. And so, you know, you're trying to solve the puzzle and then execute on the platforming, which really vibes with the games that I like.
C
I've been thinking about, of course, Diner Dash a lot and how there needs to be a new one. I've also been thinking because I've been reading so much heist novels and watching heist movies that there really should be more heist video games. And I think that there's a huge market for that and there's a lot of cool things you can do with it. So I've been thinking about like, okay, what type of game can you make in terms of like building the crew and also like setting up the best way to do the heist? This kind of seems like that's exactly what this is. Are you building the crew or is it like, hey, you just have the crew and then this is what it is.
B
I think you just have the crew. Yeah. And the demo that I played didn't really have any. Like I'm building or I'm choosing people. But I'm sure maybe there's. I have no idea.
C
I mean, something cool here.
D
So I mean, what sounds sick as is just a crew, a job, a plan. Like, that's awesome.
A
Yeah.
D
You're doing a lot of stuff. I didn't know you were into Raj. I didn't know if you love. You love heist stuff.
C
Like what was it when Blessing, when you saw that I was. I had like a thou, like 500 hours in fucking Team Fortress 2. I'm like, yeah, I've lived an entire life, bro.
D
Wow.
A

But perhaps most importantly for this panel, Romeo is Dead. Super bloody action, crazy twists and turns to blow players minds in a whole mess of kind of stereotypical gimmicks all rolled out into one wild ride. Of course this is the Suda 51 game everybody's been waiting for. Blessing. Adio. Yay Junior.
B
Yeah, I'm. I'm looking forward to Romeo as a dead man. I'm. What's the word I'm looking for? Cautiously optimistic.
A
Sure.
B
Yeah. In the way that I love Suta 51 games that you know it's 2 to 5 1.
A
Yeah, I know. Sorry. It's years and years and years and years of programming that we've talked about that on the show.
B
Like saying 51 if I'm being honest.
A
Yeah, I know.
B
I kind of want to just go back to 51 but I'm trying to make the change.
A
Just say Suda.
B
I could just be Suda just like you say Luda.
C
I was going to say Suda.
B
No, this is one that I'm looking forward to because I love. I love no More Heroes. Right? No More Heroes. One of my favorite games on the Wii when that came out, both no more heroes 1 and 2. Suda has an attitude in his games. He has a style to his games. He has like a really weird I guess like way of approaching presentation and story and characters and I think his stuff is really fun to experience, not necessarily always fun to play. And that's why I'm on the cautious side of the optimism. No More Heroes 3 disappointed me when that came out.
D
Right.
B
And I. I also know Suda has a whole catalog of games that are outside of normal heroes that I've not gotten to experience most of them. I've only experienced a couple of them. But, you know, he has Lollipop Chainsaw. He has other things that are under Grasshopper manufacturer. I even played a lot of Let It Die when that came out. And I. Action games the last decade have done so much, which is again where the cautious part of it comes in, where we've had more bayonettas, We've had more fromSoft Games and Games inspired by Fromsoft games. Whether it's Liza P. Or we've had Devil May Cry 5. We've had games that have come out and really pushed what action games are by the time we've gotten here to 2026. And I want to see Suda keep up with that. And I've not seen him do that yet. And so that said, looking forward to it. I think this game is going to be, at the very least fun to experience.
A
It's got a style.
D
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean? That's what you always say. Somebody in the chat that's already gone by was talking about the fact that Suda, when you see a game, you know that's a Suda game and that's a compliment, right. Of having a vision and doing what you're talking about there.
D
What does it have to do bless to really stand out for you?
B
I just need the gameplay to be fun.
D
Okay.
B
Like that's really. I want the gameplay to be fun in the story, to make some sense a little bit. Things which. The stories can sometimes get real wacky in pseudo games, which is part of the appeal. But also I want them to have some sort of like, concrete center to it that makes me invested in the characters and the stories and what's happening. I think no More Heroes did that well. But yeah, I just want the action to be fun. I want. Even if it is, if it's trying to be character action, let's find unique and fun mechanics in the character action. If it's trying to be more grounded, a little bit more soulsy, like Let It Die was, let's expand on that. Let's make it fun. Right. I just want. I want to see that crystallize.
C
I feel like I would be such a suited guy if I Just played one of these games, you know what I mean? Like I'm a Yakuza person. I liked all the weird Japanese, you know, out there Crater LED video games. But yeah, maybe this is the one I try out. I'm interested.
A
Blessing before I even ask the question. I'll let you know. It's okay. Yeah. Do you want to talk about Tuesday?
B
Oh yeah, let's talk about it.
A
Go for it.
B
Yeah. Tuesday we're going to have Suda 5:1 in the building.
A
In the actual studio?
B
Yeah, in the actual studio. I'm gonna get to do a one on one interview, I guess one on two because he has it translator here as well. And so gonna be interviewing suited 51 in the studio. And then we're gonna be checking out Romeo is a Dead man together for a Gamescast place.
A
Exciting stuff out there that's really, really cool. I'm excited for that. I'm also excited for February 12th when Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties comes out on everything. Roger, take it away.
C
Yeah. Dark Yakuza Kwame 3 of course is the remake of Yakuza 3, a game that I ever. So I'm very, very excited to try this out and see the story of it. And then of course Dark Ties is a separate video game that is connected. It is the story of mine. Who is the what I'm gathering, the bad guy of Yakuza 3. So it's his story and his origin of him kind of rising the ranks of the Yakuza. I have high expectations for this one. I specifically have high expectations for Dark Ties. I. I really want that to be the thing that I can look at everybody around us and be like, play this. This is a smaller, more, you know, hey, pick up and play easier entry into this world. And I do think that the concept of Dark Ties is really good. The concept there really quick is that it is this guy who runs this just regular normal business in Japan. He creates a startup, you know, becomes really successful and then out of nowhere his entire board of directors kind of turn turns out on him and like kicks him out of the company. So then he's like, fuck, I have money, I have all the success, but I don't have loyalty. And he walks down the street and he sees Daigo, who is the head of the Tojo clan in the Yakuza, basically get bombarded by a bunch of enemies and get like all of the Daigo's like men swarm and like protect him. Like he sees the loyalty in action of the Yakuza. Just as a bystander and he's like, fuck, I want to join the Yakuza now. Like, that's. That's what I want. I want loyalty. I think that's such a great premise of like, okay, seeing this guy from outside come into the Yakuza. I think there's a lot of really interesting stuff there. And of course, Yakuza 3, from what I've seen is people really like that story. They didn't like the gameplay of the original one. So revamping that, adding the Kwami elements to it, of course, the updated visuals. And also I'm very excited about the Yakuza Kiwami 3 update for the Morning Glory, which is his. By this point. Kiryu is the head of. Or the.
D
The.
C
The. He. He is leading a. An orphanage. So he is basically a dad to like a bunch of kids. So there's like a whole daddy, like, upgrade system where he is trying to like, help the kids with homework, help the kids with sewing, help the kids with cooking. So a lot of fun stuff there. Yeah, I. This is going to scratch that Yakuza itch that we get once a year and hopefully lead to the next big Yakuza game, which we would assume would be next year. So I'm excited to check it out.
A
What's hilarious for me is that we've now caught up. And this, of course, is the remake of the first Yakuza I ever reviewed at I really. So you see, we have. They are remaking the game I reviewed at IGN that introduced me and made me a Yakuza fan. So for me, I definitely want to jump in and try Dark Ties Kickstart three just to see how different it is from what I remember.
C
Do you remember anything?
A
Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, you understand, like, again, think about it this way. And I forget the whole games being imported and what it was before, you know what I mean? Especially since I was so young at IGN at the time. But like, this was my introduction.
D
Yeah.
A
So I was like, oh, he's always been running this orphan. Or like, this is his thing of like, he's always been this good guy. And then, you know, the other ones, you prequels and remakes came out like, oh, okay, there was a time when he's actually in. Yeah, I've only ever known him on the outside of the Yakuza.
C
So funny because, like, I think the. The timeline of it, if it is, he's like never in the Yakuza in the entirety of the franchise. Even with Zero, he's like in the. He's, like, kicked out of the Yakuza within, like, the first hour of the game. Like, this game is called Yakuz. He's never in the.
A
So I've always known him as Daddy. This is like. When I look at this, this is. This is what I remember. I remember being there on the fucking orphanage in my Hawaiian shirt. See what's up when we get there. Mario 12 also sees the one, the only Mario Tennis fever hit switch to hit the court for explosive action. The latest Mario Tennis game. Join Mario and his friends for over the top tennis mayhem. Use topspin slices, lobs, and other familiar shots, along with other fancy footwork and new defensive maneuvers to outpace your opponent's.
B
I've been playing a lot of Mario Tennis 64 in the last week.
A
Yeah.
B
Because.
A
Getting ready.
B
Getting ready. The Austria. Boning up.
A
Boning up? Yeah.
B
Oh, what's boning up?
A
Study.
D
Huh?
B
What y' all do Y' all know
D
that I've never heard that. No, I mean, I'm.
A
This is. This is now they're not. Soon they'll start remaking the phrases. That's a real point.
B
Boning up.
A
That is a real thing. I'm not making that up.
D
I'm all boned up.
A
Heads in the chat. Help me out.
B
If I was boning up while playing Mario. Yeah, we're talking about something else. No, I was playing it because. Yeah, I was. I was. I was boning up. And then also. Also I was watching the Australian Open. Damn.
D
Really?
B
Yeah. Yeah. It's been going down. I've been getting so many clips of it, and so now I've just been locked in.
D
Djokovic wanted it. It's crazy.
B
Crazy. But, yeah, no, like, I've been having the itch. And Mario Tennis 64 is like. Like one that, growing up, I was. I remember being so into. I like. I remember it so well of getting the Mario 64, or, sorry, Mario 10x64 cartridge and being so locked in that my thumbs hurt, like, using the analog stick in this game. And so I'm so excited for this new one to come out. I'm hoping that, like, it's able to bring more than what aces did. Even though I liked aces for the time, but it only got, like, two weeks out of me.
A
That's my thing. That's my hope, too. As somebody who loves the Mario sports games but really does love tennis, let alone hot shots tennis, which I was such a fan of on PlayStation. And I had big. I had high, high hopes for aces. And when we got Aces and I think I was reviewed and I had review access to it. It was like this just wasn't what I wanted out of it of being an engaging. Let's go. Like I feel like I'm getting better. So my concern with this one is it looks like a lot of fun. But is it it's party mode fun, it's fun for me and Ben on afternoons or is it something I'm playing on my own and doing the whole thing, the story or whatever it is their little thing to get better and unlock characters. Or is it I'm just doing this as a once off thing ever here so often.
B
Yeah, yeah.
D
I'm super stoked for. I think it looks really, really pretty way nicer than what Mario Golf Super Rush look. And that was kind of like our last experience with Mario Sports game. Or was it, was it, was it, was it Strikers?
B
I don't know.
A
Strikers. Aces was the first.
D
No, yeah, I meant when I meant Strikers. But I think either way Mario Golf just looked like ass. And this looks like the Nintendo style that I am used to and want see. And this like whenever I see a game look like this, it just feels like somehow more authentic for some reason.
A
Yeah, for sure.
D
But I, I, I hope that it has fun enough progression to want to make me want to keep on going through whatever the actual story is. Y Whether it's a story or not. I just want to be really incentivized to want to unlock the next thing. Otherwise it could just be one of those that you turn on only to play on a stream one day and
A
then that I want, I want to come back. I want to have a reason to come back and have a lot of fun.
B
A weird thing. I kind of want out, out of this, the core tennis to feel good. Like as we're watching the clips of it, there's so much happening on screen. They talk about the fever rackets in the, in the trailer. Right. And like there are clips where you're seeing like a lot of that's on the tennis court. I and this is what I'm experiencing playing Mario Tennis 64 that I love so much. That game is just tennis. Like they have the fun modes or whatever, but the actual tennis is pretty difficult. Especially when you start doing the tournament modes and stuff like that. I want that kind of like hardcore tennis experience.
A
Earlier in the thing they showed you setting up matches and turning on or off fever racking. Yeah, I, this is clearly, I'm saying it already a bridge too far. But looking at that and how it all this, it strikes me as like let's just take what we do for Smash and put it here where it can hopefully be. Yes. Here's a one on one tennis game. Items off. No fever rackets, you're just playing. And then also it can be here. Warp pipes and weird.
D
I love the variety that they've shown in what the arenas look like. I think that's already showing me that they give a shit enough about, you know, presentation and just differentiation and not just having like one or two courts. Like we've seen a lot of different just in the five minutes of this trailer. So I, I, I hope that there's enough there to, to make me want to, you know, for a lack of a better term, like complete the battle pass whatever the totally totally is for this game. I hope it's awesome.
A
We will find out soon enough. February 12 also sees Blaz Blue. That's Blaze Blue, everybody. Entropy Effect coming. Embrace the enthralling explorations and challenges with your character. Each uniquely customized through Roguelite gameplay. Discover the truth of the world during the adventure.
D
This is a, I believe, a re release of Entropy Effect. It's kind of like their, I don't know, director's cut or something like that because they released Remake. Yeah, they released Entropy Effect two years ago. And this is Entropy Effect X, I believe. And, and so I, I think what I was reading, they added like a couple of new levels or something like that. But it was always very highly rated. I don't have a good reason for not starting it up because it looks so good that I just bought it on a whim.
A
Yeah.
D
And it looks awesome and it has a great style, but I just, I never booted it up. I don't know why.
A
We'll find out then. February 12 also sees disciples Domination come
D
to X. Roger on Fantasy Critic looking through the webpage that goes.
C
It's not even on there.
D
You know what I mean? Huh?
B
Blaze Blue.
D
Yeah.
C
No, it's not even on there.
A
February 12 also sees little Gamer, Little Gator Game in the dark. Come to everything. Roger. I know you're a little gator.
C
Big one for me. Yeah, I adored Little Gator Game. That's definitely one of my game games of the year. Of that year two years ago now. It's been a while. Adorable video game. I think everybody needs to play it. It is such a small little experience, but it's just so wholesome. And yeah, they're expanding it. They have a little DLC where you're going down to the cave systems. Everyone needs to play this. I think Ben would adore this game.
A
Oh, really?
C
Yeah. He would adore a little gator game. I have a little plushie too, if he ever becomes a fan of it.
D
It's one I always wanted to play because I heard of how short it was. But it was, it was our. The friend of ours, Ray Narvaez, famous streamer, very popular. God, he's so popular. He was like getting very emotional about like how, how just beautiful it was.
B
So wholesale is really good.
D
Yeah. It's one that'll like make you tear up. Very similar to a short hike, I feel.
C
Yes. And it's also kind of Breath of the wild in the sense that you are climbing up things. It is very like physics based. You get so many insane abilities by the ending of the game where you're kind of flying around with a balloon and you're like. It just goes insane places. But I. I implore everybody, if you want to smile, if you want to have something that's super wholesome, that is really, really, really polished to play the first little gator game. And then very excited for this dlc. Yeah.
B
Check out if I get little gator Gate. So this is just dlc.
C
This is dlc.
B
Gotcha.
C
This is dlc. Yeah. But you should play a little gator game. Genuinely. I mean, you would adore it.
A
February 12 also sees Cash Cleaner Simulator. Come to Xbox and PlayStation Ride 6. Come to everything. PC, PlayStation, Xbox. Chroma Gun 2, Die Hard, come to everything. And then February 12 also sees Killer in come to PC Early Access. I called this one out. Welcome to the hollow halls of Killer In. You've been chosen as one of the select few to participate in a one night only game of death, deceit and deduction.
B
This fucking game is the Square Enix one.
A
Yeah, it's like. And it's basically a werewolf among us, right? Where it's the idea of you're all playing through and doing this. Of course it's different than that, but blah blah. 24 of you will take part in this one night only murder mystery game. Some of you will take on the role of wolves while the rest play as lambs. Wolves must disguise themselves amongst the lambs, hiding their true nature as they wait for the right moment to strike. But do not fret, dear lambs. The numbers favor your side. And so I know how much people love these deduction games.
B
I love a deduction game. I can't wait to try this.
A
It's not there for you.
B
Even though some of the action looks jank, but I'll. I'll try it.
A
Yeah.
D
You start to wonder, is it time for another one of these? Because we've, you know, remember when we
B
played the Death Note one?
A
Yeah.
D
Not bad.
B
That was fun.
C
Not bad.
D
But. But even before that, there was the other 3D one that had a, you know, really nice art sound blinking on the name of it. But it was one of. One of these social deduction things as well, and you had to kind of hide in the crowd. And we streamed it a couple times and it was one of those where it's like I, you know, people were tired of the social deduction thing.
B
They.
D
That wasn't the hot thing anymore. It kind of reminds me of, you know, games of service, looter shooters getting made after Destiny. Was it Spy Park? No.
B
Okay.
D
But it might. I'm sure people will let me know in the chat. It's one that we streamed on our personal streams. I don't know if we ever played it here at work, but it was really, really neat and just did not, you know, find an audience and quickly kind of shut down, which is kind of a bummer.
A
February 12th, final few. No, there's a ton of games. Actually, I was wrong on that one by a lot. Hoku Okie SSL Sweet School Life comes to Switch. Rogue point comes to PC, the Sims 4 royalty and legacy grand bundle comes out everywh. Where 10 hearts comes to Meta Quest. Dear Me I Was comes. I don't know exactly where. I believe iOS because it lists all the platforms here, but I've had Dear Me I Was on my Switch forever. Maybe it's the Switch two port of it. I don't know. I've yet to start it. This is one of those Greg ass games. Get in here. Dear Me I Was is an interactive venture that lets you enjoy a story woven with beautiful visuals fusing the vibrant watercolor style rope Red Ball is. It's one of those games that wants to make you crazy. I haven't had time to play it. It's been out a long time and I've had it on my systems a long time, but haven't gotten into it. February 12 also sees Sector Unknown, then Deep Rock Galactic Season 6. Then we move to February 13 where Reanimal comes Xbox Series X, PC, Switch 2, and a million other things.
C
Unbelievably hyped. Unbelievably hyped.
A
Jump in. Why?
C
Yeah, I have been missing the little nightmares element. Even though literally Little Nightmares 3 came out last year. I just Saw that that game wasn't. Wasn't well received and I was like, I don't want to have to do this and play this game if it's not going to be great. When we have Re Animal, which is made by the actual original Little Nightmares team and it's actually co op. This game looks so twisted. Yeah, I, I do kind of wish that we have a little bit more of a separation between this and then now Resident Evil coming out at the end of the month. I want to spread out my. My hard gaming. But very, very excited for this. I'm excited to place with Lianza specifically. Specifically we've been waiting for something horror in our lives.
A
Okay.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
B
Trailers for this one have looked fantastic.
D
So good play the demo of it. It's. It was awesome and horrifying and it's going to be great to play with a friend. But even if you could also play it solo because the AI companion super smart and it will know to, you know, spin that wheel to move the platform to get you across to the other side or whatever. I was really, really impressed by, by, by all of that. But I think just visually and tone, man, it was just super unsettling and gave me a lot of inside vibes more than anything, which is something I'm super stoked for. And I, I think based on, you know, we'll hopefully look at my stomach Mike's schedule. But me and Mike are hoping to stream this at kind of funny deceiving. Thank you. Shadow Trickster.
A
Ah, I remember that one. I remember that.
B
I don't remember that one.
A
February 13th also sees High on Life 2 come to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and PC.
B
I'm so fucking hyped for this one.
C
Really?
B
Oh yeah. Oh, wow. This was my game of the show when I went to pax.
A
Wow.
B
Yeah.
A
Did you love Hind Life one that much?
B
I did love High One, yeah. I mean I. This kind of humor. The kind of humor where it is. Where it is. Oh, this person is just riffing and just making jokes. Works on me. I forget his name, but he's now working on this game.
A
Justin Roiland.
B
Justin Roiland is no longer involved and so like if you're worried about that as that aspect, you don't need to be. I like the humor in this one. Me and Andy both did the demo at Xbox actually and there were certain bits they got into where, you know, you're doing a boss fight and then mid boss fight, the boss invades your like suit and then now you're fighting the boss in your pause menus and he's like. With your settings and. And then it turns into a different game. Stuff that I thought was really inspired, really fun. There was another one where you go up to a. Well, you start the game off at. I think it's called Park Con or Parking Con, which is a convention for people who like parking. And you would go and you would like, like, be trying to find a parking spot for your crew, but then every single time you find an open spot, somebody kind of steals it. And then you get into a combat thing. A lot of weird, funny bits that, for me worked, but then also some gameplay stuff that I thought was fun too. Do you have a skateboard in this game? Like, your sprint essentially puts you on a skateboard and you can kick your skateboard up and at enemies. Felt fun to do. Yeah. I think this is one that people might be sleeping on a little bit.
A
And so I definitely am. I played High in Life all the way through for review and stuff here last time around and enjoyed it fine. But it did not leave a lasting impression or me wanting more. And so since high on F2 has been announced, it's been one of those, like, okay, that's everything you just said. Sounds great, so I'll still check it out. But like, no, up until now it's been like, okay, another high in life.
D
I'm excited to check it out, hopefully on a better machine with more optimization. It was. It was a pretty buggy, slow mess when we played it at the thing, and I still enjoyed it despite all the technical issues that were. That I was having with the game game. And it was obviously still very early in development when they were talking to us about it. But it was really neat getting to hear Ralph Einason in the game who's like one of the bounty hunters that ends up becoming one of your guns. And in the. Yeah, the. The boss fight, that blessing was mentioning where the boss, who is Richard Kind, voiced by Richard. Oh, my God, Hell yeah. And he enters, he hacks your suit, and he's in your. Your pause menu messing with everything. And then he ends up going to your. The gun chatter meter. Because your gun. You can have a meter to make your guns. Yeah, yap. As much or as little as you want for people who are like, oh, my God, this shit's so annoying. You could turn that all the way down and not have them really talk at all. But he gets on your. At the end of the meter, so you have to, like, use your menu to go all the way to the right. And suddenly Ralph Anderson is like, and now I'm here and I'm doing this and we're. He's like talking a whole bunch.
A
It just sounds really, really.
D
It was super fun and creative and. And yeah, if they can, you know, replicate kind of weird out of, you know, breaking the fourth wall type stuff like that. I love like that in games and. And it was definitely, you know, I had quite a bit of laughs with it as well.
C
Yeah, it just makes me happy we're getting a sequel like this because, like, when you think about it, we talk about, like, how games just don't get sequels anymore. This is a game that, you know, if it came out in the 360 era would for sure get multiple sequels and have the chance to, you know, iterate. So the fact that we're actually getting that and also with the Justin Roiland,
A
I was going to say, yeah, that's more of it for me. When everything happened with Justin Roiland and he squanch Games and yada yada, it was like, oh, they're dead. Yeah, like that. That was like such a big push for what that studio was the fact they're able to come on.
D
Doing that one's pretty huge movement was a lot of fun. A lot of really cool weapons and creative sort of things where, you know, at one point you're you. There was a weapon where you could tether enemies together. So I could like shoot one dude, then shoot the other, then they would get sucked to each other. And then if you shot the big red dot pot, though, or the big red balloon that would pop up, it would explode all of them. Those are like a lot of really neat, like, oh, this is. That's a satisfying mechanic to feel and, you know, hopefully we could explore more of that throughout the whole.
B
In there.
D
Yeah.
A
February 13th has two more games. Rune Factory. Guardians of Zuma. February 13th closes out with Clue. Murder by Death.
B
I love the Clue video games.
A
Oh, there you go. That one's coming to everywhere. And it's. Oh, there.
B
This. I don't think this is Clue.
D
Clue, though.
A
No, it's Clue Clue. It's a board game. Clue. Yeah. I think it's just a different art style than what you'd expect.
D
Oh, plus, did you never see the same thing? You never saw that.
A
Astro. We go to February 16th. Astrobotnika bot. Astro Botanica Botanica comes to PC Early Access. February 16th. C Seca PC. February 16th says double dungeon on PC. Then we go to February 17th. It's north. Oath of Blood on PC February 17th sees Avowed come to PlayStation 5. More important for me, it's actually the 3.0 update that'll come to Xbox as well. New game plus, new races, a bunch of new weapons. I'm very excited to go back to avow a game that I enjoyed but had shortcomings with. And I will be interested to see if New Game plus rocks it. If the new races. Rock it. Andy, I know you and me were lined up on this one.
D
Yeah. I still have my. My save wave from the game where I'm like, maybe five hours from beating it.
A
Yeah.
D
And I. I definitely am the type to. Okay, there's a big update that's in. I want to see how things have looked. I want to see what new mechanics there are, what new things I can kind of check out to maybe, you know, because of what I played. I really enjoyed how a lot of it felt.
A
It's just there was combat, feels so good.
D
They were missing out on enough of, you know, story and companion stuff. But, yeah, I mean, I. It's still a really good, really, really gorgeous game. And I hope that, you know, there are improvements there to make me go back and want to keep on playing it.
A
Yeah, I'm gonna do the whole thing where I make a little DND character sheet again, choose the weapons that I didn't. I went sword and board before. I want to have something more magical. Maybe those cool guns, but dude, yeah, the.
D
That was one thing I kind of regret was I ended up swapping to some sort of warlock, magician, spell stuff. And it is so badass. Like, damn, I should. I should have this.
B
Yeah.
A
I mean. February 17th also sees Calamity Angel Special Delivery, PlayStation 4, 5 and Switch. And then Friend of the Show. February 17th, Aerial Night's Drop Shot comes to PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox, Series X. This is one I'm incredibly excited about. Love Ariel Night, period. Have enjoyed all of his games, but this one of jumping out of a plane, having your finger gun shoot things, trying to get to your parachute every time. That just sounds like a lot of fun to get into and go for.
D
Yeah. Ooze style. I want to see. As always, I think I tried it out at the mix. The mix? Yeah, the mix is what it was. Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, I want to see how, you know, how it evolves in any way, because I definitely had fun with it, but I want it to hopefully be more than what I experience. But I think it looks really cool and I think I just love the color schemes and the visual identity of
A
all of it 100%. February 17th final game is Placid Plastic Deck. A Quiet Quest on PC. February 18th has a bunch coming out. You got Star Trek Voyager across the unknown coming to everything. Monster Hunter Wild's final title update also drops. It'll be interesting. This doesn't get me going. I loved my time with Wilds. I put a lot of time into it but I just done the final update. I was like, oh, okay. I guess maybe the big expansion that'll eventually come knock on wood. If Capcom will keep supporting will get me but this one. Okay, cool. New weapons.
D
I mean it's crazy to think that, you know, it's been kind of underwhelming so far and Monster under Wilds. What you know. But it's still like 11 million sold.
C
Yeah.
D
Damn, dude.
A
It's underwhelming compared to World.
D
Yeah.
A
Where World is such a phenomenon. This one's like. Oh, it's more of that. Okay, cool. It's still a got to play together.
D
Oh, I also think we're just in a different time, you know.
A
February 18th final three games are poppy playtime, chapter five, shout out for them.
C
Big one.
A
Is it really?
C
I mean, yeah, Poppy's Playtime is huge.
A
That is okay.
C
It's a horror game. It's like almost like five nights at Freddy's. Think about it has like a younger audience deal for them.
D
There are kids who just watch Poppy's on YouTube like it is. It's wild how popular this wild popular
A
weenie wise comes to PC. Is that a popular one too? Weenie wise? You play a lot of weenie wise?
D
I don't know.
C
No.
A
Okay. And then February 18th warframe comes to Android.
C
I've bravely said it. This is the year we all get into war. I'm.
B
Let's do it the year, man. Listen, when are we commuting though?
C
I think, think as soon because it's going to come to Switch two this year and I think that's where I'm at. I just want to play it.
B
Is it Crossplay?
C
Yeah, yeah, it's cross Cross everything.
B
You, you can play on Switch 2
C
or you can play it on Android as they're announcing right here. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. I, I, I, I booted up a little bit. I was like, hey, this feels good. I'm excited. I want to play with people. I think that's the major thing. But I think we're all.
B
I've been waiting like anybody else.
D
I've man, do a week.
C
Let's do a week of warframe.
B
Let's do two weeks.
D
Weeks. Okay, now you're Warframe. Wednesday. But it's just one Wednesday.
C
Let's force Nick to play it. He goes non verbal.
D
Oh, man.
A
February 19th is sticks. Blades of greed, big box, PlayStation, PC. You want this game? Talk about this game. What is this game?
C
I don't know, man. I, I, it's, It's just sticks, man. It's a.
A
What does that mean?
D
It's just Sticks, man.
A
You play as Sticks, a couple stunning goblin with a caustic sense of humor who has mastered the art of stealth. Your goal is to get your hands on Quartz, the most precious and dangerous resource in the world, on the brink of war between elves, humans, and orcs.
C
Yeah, I've bought the previous two Sticks games and I've played maybe tennis franchise. Yeah, there's three of them. That's the third one.
B
Did you play Sticks for the first time because it came to PS plus like 10 years ago.
C
No, no, I purchased these video games. Oh, yeah, I purchased this video. No, because I, I'm looking for stealth video games.
D
Roger.
A
Who are you?
C
I'm constantly looking for stealth video games games. I'm constantly looking to scratch that Splinter Cell itch, right? And it's, it's not that.
A
This is what you go to, to
D
scratch the Splinter Cell.
B
I was like, I miss Chaos Theory. I'm going to play Sticks.
D
I want to be this goblin.
C
Some actual games. Like g. Give me, give me stealthing a little bit. Because he, he's stealthing. Yeah, yeah, he's. Look at it. He's going around. He's stealthing. He's going around. He has like, he can go invisible. You can throw some. I don't know. I'm. Look at him.
B
Roger. Roger, games, like video game reviews don't exist. Like, no, there's nobody out here to tell me what games games I can play.
A
I just explore this.
C
Listen, if you are me and you want to play Splinter Cell, you look up what are games that are like Splinter Cell, you will find. Yeah, literally, you will find five Reddit threads that are all saying, hitman, Hitman, Hitman. And then one person that has five upvotes will sell you Sticks. And then you'll be like, I guess this is the only other one. So, yes, I'm gonna desperately try to recapture some of the magic of Splinter Cell by playing Sticks, and we'll see how it goes.
A
I fuck with it. God bless you.
B
I tried Sticks one time, and I
C
was like, I'm good.
D
I'm good.
C
Blades of green read though.
A
February 19th sees death match. Love Death Match. Love comedy come to Switch, PC, PlayStation, everything. Wiz, man's world Retry comes to everything. Then you got Death howl coming to PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox. Journey through the sorrowful spirit world in a souls like Deck Builder craft cards and claim powerful totems to defeat the woeful spirits lurking in the mystical land.
B
It's already out. This came out on PC back in, like, December, where this is what I sadly missed out on in the initial launch, but hopefully maybe I'll have time this time around to jump in like the description mentions. Right? It's a souls like deck builder is the way they describe it. Love the art style, love the energy of it. Seems like my type of shit, but, yeah, I sadly didn't play enough of it when it came out this first time.
D
Yeah, there was definitely enough around that was keeping me from going full into it, but I. Yeah, I think it just oozes style. I. I really. You know, when people ask, what does it mean? My soul's like. It's like there's bonfires that you could go back to, and whenever you sit at them and get your. Your health back or whatever, enemies will respawn wherever they were, and you might have to, you know, redo that fight or whatever. But it was really neat after, like, seeing the way the systems could kind of work together and getting new cards to add to your deck was really neat. I just didn't get into it enough, Unfortunately.
A
Fair enough. February 19th. Then moves on to see Death howl. No, sorry. Yeah. Love eternals. Love Eternal. PlayStation, Xbox, PC, all that jazz. Run, jump, and reverse the flow of gravity itself to escape the mind of a selfish God in this challenging precision platformer. This is one I put up and looked there and I was like, all right, this not a Greg game necessarily, but I know some of you like to be punished.
B
I do love to be punished.
D
Vanished.
A
Is this it, Kevin? Love eternal.
D
Yeah.
A
Okay, cool. Just making sure. Sorry. Oh, yeah, there it is. Thanks, Jeff. Can you skip further to the gameplay where the platforming is happening?
D
Are we talking, like, Celeste or. There's a lot of.
A
There we go.
B
There we go.
A
See What? What?
B
That doesn't look like the same game.
A
That's what I'm saying. That's why I was confused and I was like, wait, Kev, is this it? It's it, huh? See how these jazz.
C
Oh, it's like a vvv.
B
Oh, that is like a vvv.
C
A VVV type vv.
B
Like, you see that guy's arms.
D
Yeah, it was weird. Re.
A
Ratchet looks cool, right?
B
Okay. I mean, I do love a punishing platformer, so. And this shit seems weird.
A
Weird as.
D
Yeah, this is really strange and intriguing.
A
This is love eternal. Remember everybody? Wishlist. I'm into it if you want games. All right. Keep me posted.
B
I'm wish listing.
A
Thank you.
D
Tell you what, I played more of that Karen last night after our games cast plays yesterday.
C
Check it out.
D
Every.
B
Everybody.
D
Dude, it was awesome.
C
Yeah, right.
D
Like, holy. It's not a game I would recommend playing at night because of how tense it makes you. Yeah. Way cooler than I would. If you're the type of person who's like, yeah, but Death Shining. Just a walking simulator. And there's only so much you can do to gamify the walking experience, which I disagree with. But this is, I think, just like a different level of strategy.
B
Yeah.
D
And like, I. Man, I was really.
C
I would love Blessing to try it out. I would love to try it. I think you would like it when it comes to survival stuff, but also the puzzle element of it. There's so much puzzle element to it.
B
What if me and Andy drop every. Every game we're playing and just review Karen. We'll talk about this later.
A
I'm thinking about Demon tides comes to PC February 19th. Follow Biebs and her crew on a journey of self discovery as they travel the vast oceans of Ragnar's rock, navigate the open seas and explore each distant structure, uncovering every eddy, every hidden nook and cr. Reverse expressive move set.
D
This is for the platformer Sickos, man.
A
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Right here.
B
I'm like, I.
D
These are the Devs of Bubsy's 4D.
C
Oh, is it really?
B
No, I'm very.
C
I'm very excited for Bubsy 40.
B
I played a little bit of their previous game and this looks 10 times crazier than their previous.
D
What was it called? Demon.
B
Demons. Something demons called.
A
Oh, you're the previous one.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Previous one was Demon's Turf. Demon's Ties. If you. If you're listening, you. You haven't seen the trailer. This one looks more open 3D platforming. Demon's Turf was like kind of a weird, I think mesh of like pixel art, but then also 3D world. This looks beautiful.
A
Yeah, this is gorgeous. The art style is amazing. Here.
C
Only on PC.
D
Yeah.
C
Put it on switch.
D
Great mechanics, great movement. Yeah, it was. It. It was one of the only reason I learned about the whole Demon Tides and Bubsy thing is because when I was was trying out Bubsy 4D. You know, people were so stoked about seeing the platforming and they're like the. The amount of people that walked over like, dude, I love Demon or Demon turf or whatever. Yeah, super stoked for Demon Tides. This looks really cool and wild and very fun.
B
I was wrong about pixel art, by the way. But it is like a 2. You're playing as a 2D. I don't know what you call this 2D model in a 3D world.
A
Yeah, this is a good call. Up next on the list for February 19 is dead in In Antares. It's a turn based survival management game with RPG elements set on an alien planet. Lead a crew of survivors sent out on a mission to save humanity, manage their needs, strengthen their teamwork and explore this mysterious world to find a way back home. Seemed like it was in the vein of some shit Andy might like.
D
I just don't know what the game plan Andy. Like, yeah, I don't. Okay, okay. Resources.
A
And you got the resources, you got the mining. You gotta do that.
C
Like okay, resources.
B
Okay, combat.
D
This is not enough there. I take it back. Yeah, I don't like it.
A
Fighting thing here. See you got that going on. Something to think about, Andy. February 19 also has Gear Club Unlimited 3 on Switch 2. And then show Gunners comes to everything. Show gunners. In a dystopian future where corporations rule, a brutal reality show is the hottest entertainment property in town. You play a scarlet contestant out for revenge. To win, you must navigate the dangerous urban arenas packed with lethal traps and face off against hordes of heavily armed psychopaths. Again, as we get to the gameplay, if you can skip further into it, Kev, look. Almost twin shooter esque. You know what I mean? Twin stick shooter as you run around beating the shit out of everybody.
D
Top down.
A
I forget. I looked at it yesterday when I was building the dock that looked like eventually. Eventually there's gameplay, I swear.
B
Like that one game on X Box that the Ascent. The Ascent got there.
A
This isn't a gameplay trailer. Yeah, well, they had their chance. February 19th, back rooms level X comes to everything. Soulslinger Envoy of Death comes to PlayStation and Xbox. Coleta.
D
Xbox
A
Coletka Colletta. Xbox, PlayStation, PC. And then Super Battle Golf comes to PC also on February 9th.
D
This looks awesome.
A
An online one to eight player golf game where everyone plays at the same time. Swing, shoot, sabotage. And finished first by any means necessary in a free for all rush to the hole. This screen. We got to go play this. Yeah, we got to go play this. Right.
D
This looks sick as hell. I got a.
B
What was it? I got to bone out to this.
A
You bone up.
D
Bone it up.
A
You'd be playing. Playing like, you know, whatever golf game before this.
B
Yes.
A
Or maybe you could go. If we were doing a party mode on a Thursday, you had a code. You could bone up on Wednesday.
D
Yeah, this looks super fun. All right, we did it.
A
No, I'm googling bone up definition. You. You guys up. You know, I don't even do that work. Miriam Webster. Bone up verb.
D
Who is she?
A
To try to master necessary information quickly, to review one skill or refresh one's memory. You fuckers.
D
You ever met a Miriam in your life? Jesus.
A
No, actually that's. Well, no. February 19th, final game is Park Ranger Simulator. That's PlayStation 5 and PC. I've been trying to move quickly, but everybody wants to talk because there's so many cool games. February 20th has two games. Yeezex, Proud Nordics, PlayStation 2 or 5, Switch 2 and PC Bendy. And the Ink Machine comes to Switch physical as well. February 23rd sees Rainbow Six Siege come to iOS and Android. February 22nd, 25th nested lands PC Early Access. February 25th, UFO Philia Ophelia comes Xbox Series X. And then February 25th also sees Rains the Witcher come to Android, iOS, PC. This is that Witcher game I just previewed at the top of the week here on kinda funny gamescast that I am really into choice based swipe on your phone. Obviously you can do it on Steam deck and on Steam in general as you play through Dandelion telling stories. There are all choice based. You got to keep the meters at the top of the cards in the right thing. Otherwise you get killed and you have to do another run. How long can you survive? Can you complete certain objectives? A really, really fun time. 6 bucks instant purchase for me in terms of something to have on my phone so I can play games anywhere I want to. Wow. February 26th has City Hunter on just about everything. No sleep for what do you want to. Canary named Koname Date everywhere. Tokyo extreme racer on PS5. Towerborn comes to PlayStation 5 and PC. That's the one that was of course early access forever. Now it's like, you know, and it was going to be ongoing, right? Or whatever. And now you know what? This is going to be a one time thing. It's going to be a one time thing. We drop on you from Xbox. So there you go. Path of mystery. A brush with death. Comes to Switch on February 25th. Icarus comes to Xbox and PlayStation.
D
February 26th, man, that's going to run like garbage, man.
A
Icarus.
D
We're going back to Icarus very soon. I don't know when it'll be, but it's coming to console. And that game, I mean the 26th we keep on wanting to go back to. No, I'm saying I don't know. We're going back to it.
B
Oh, okay.
D
Because we had a lot of fun with Icarus, but it's like it was one of those early Access games that you keep on going back to. It's like, wow. Nothing has improved in terms of like,
C
it's like schedule one.
D
It still just looks like this and it still just feels. And I'm dropping a 22 frames whenever this happens.
C
That's always the best though. Those are always the best games, you know.
D
It's tough, man. It's a tough.
C
It's like going to the Chinese food restaurant with like two stars. Like this is the best.
A
February 26 also has raid and Fighters remix collection come out on Switch. PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4. February 26 has Maid Cafe on Electric street come to Switch. I called this one out because these are always those kind of fucking weird management dorky ass games I want to play and can't make work. Maid Cafe on Electric Streak is a leisurely made cafe adventure set in the otaku haven of Osaka. The protagonist of the story quits his job at an extremely toxic workplace and finds himself in a rundown made cafe. This reminds me when I had that 1k pop thing where I was trying to get all the idols set up and do all that stuff.
B
Why is the art style so beautiful though?
A
I I, it looks a cut above the usually goof ones.
B
Like this is what I'm talking about. Like if we could make the Costco SIM look like this.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 100, 100. Then February 26th also has the Disney Afternoon collection dropping on Switch and Switch 2. This made headlines yesterday, of course. Course, with a bunch of these crazy ass old Disney games coming over there. Your afternoon ones. Anybody excited for these to go back to DuckTales? DuckTales 2. Chip and Dale.
B
I know people love the DuckTales games.
D
Yeah.
A
February 26th has Fall of an Empire on PC. Then February 27th has arguably the biggest game of the month, Resident Evil Requiem coming out everywhere.
B
Of course.
A
What's everybody's hype for Resident Evil Requiem?
C
Roger Piccor, 8.5 of 10. Very, very excited. As someone who loves actually the 7 and 8 version of Resident Evil more than I like the Resident Evil 4 element that they're kind of slicing in together. I'm very, I'm excited to see that mix. I, I didn't love RE4 as much as everybody else. I, I, I just. Not an action Resident.
B
How dare you.
C
I know, I know. I didn't grow up with it. Yada, yada. I enjoyed it, though. So I'm excited to see kind of that mixture of it. And I hope it's a good mixture. I hope it's like a, like a, hey, this melts together. It's not just like fucking, you know, dissonance of like, oh, we're fudgeing really scary. And then, oh, now we're just fucking chainsawing people. And now we're back to scary now. You know what I mean? That's my biggest fear of this. But it looks gorgeous. I'm very, very excited for it, Andy.
D
I mean, y' all are making me play it, so. Yeah, I have no choice, you know.
A
That's true. You.
B
Oh, so. Hi, I'm. I'm in the last. Since 2019, I've become a Resident Evil person.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
Because Resident Evil 2 Remake converted me and showed me the light. And I'm hoping that this, I mean, my high bar is that I hope that it becomes one of my favorite Resident Evils. But that's. Now it's become a high bar because these games are so good.
A
Yeah. I'm super stoked for this one. It looks like the kind of Resident Evil I like a lot and want a lot. So I can't wait to get codes and get into it. And of course, that'll happen on the 27th. With reviews around it worth pointing out. On the 27th, of course. Res Evil Village Gold Edition. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition. These are Switch 2 versions.
B
Right.
A
That are coming out. A whole bunch of stuff dropping. Similarly, Tales of Brazeria Remastered comes to everything on the 27th.
D
So weird to drop those. Yeah.
C
On the same day. Really bizarre.
A
Are Resident Evil just, you know. Here you go, Switch. People eat weird.
D
They should be releasing like tomorrow and then, you know, and then big one coming out, you know.
A
Borderlands 4 comes to switch to on the 27th as well. See how that runs. It also sees Lesara Summit Kingdom on Switch, PlayStation 5, PC and a bunch of other places. Untamed Kingdom. Also early Access on the 27th. And then according to releases.com the site you should be checking just like we do estimated February dates for food industry. Fatal Fury, City of Wolves, Nightmare Geese and Space Delivery are All supposed to
C
drop sometime in that moment. I checked food industry just in case it was dot or dash.
A

C
Shout out my brother, one of the Patriots.

He's a Seahawks fan.

Anonymous says ICE and the DOJ just released a new batch of Epstein files and then deleted files that were the most damning for Trump. I can't believe it.

This week’s episode is an exhaustive, entertaining, and at times irreverent rundown of every notable video game releasing in February 2026. The hosts—Greg Miller, Blessing Adeoye Jr., Andy Cortez, and Roger Picorny—bring their trademark banter while previewing the full calendar, sharing personal hype levels, debating genre trends, and riffing on game announcements, art styles, and the gaming industry as a whole. The crew also discusses ongoing fundraising for the Minnesota Immigrant Rapid Response Fund, and takes time to shout out the supportive Kinda Funny community.
By the end, the hosts have run through an exhaustive list of February’s releases—big AAA sequels, cult indies, Japanese imports, party games, platformers, and more—serving as both an expert-level calendar for enthusiasts and a record of the current gaming landscape’s trends and quirks. True to their style, the Kinda Funny crew blend hype, debate, and humor, making this an essential listen for anyone keeping tabs on gaming’s near future.
Not listening to ads, intros, or outros? You missed nothing—every meaningful tangent and game was covered, at times in loving, nerdy, and slightly chaotic detail.
