Tim Gettys
I'm doing good. I'm loving looking over my Steam replay seeing the games I played this year.
Greg Miller
The hotness out there just dropped.
Tim Gettys
Apparently I was bored in March. Oh no. I was playing a lot of blueprints in Expedition 33. Never mind, never mind. I also booted up Wonder Stop.
Greg Miller
Oh, but how many. How many hours you put in how
Tim Gettys
many minutes do you put Wonder stop was about 2% of my playtime this game.
Greg Miller
Appreciate that. Of course, he's the master of hype. Snowbank Mike.
Mike
Hi Greg. It's great to see you. Yeah, I'm looking over Blessing Eddie Oye Jr's steam and we're just taking a look at like what he played throughout the months. 46 of play time in the month of May was Elden Ring night rain.
Andy Cortez
Not enough night ring with us.
Mike
Don't start. He leaves us all the time.
Tim Gettys
I gotta get back to alters. I played 9% of my game time in June was alters.
Andy Cortez
Good game, dude.
Greg Miller
35 of my play time this year was Octopath Traveler 0. I love that number. His manic heartthrob Texas street Latino heat. Clicking heads and ripping them to shreds. Globe trotting head shot and three point shooting. Rooting tooting nitro rifle from Twitch tv, Andy Cortez.
Andy Cortez
Tonight's tonight. Spurs win it all. Tonight, I want you to know. Midseason championship against the Knicks.
Greg Miller
It's bitterly cold in San Francisco right now. I stepped out two nights ago, three nights ago, whatever it was, to let Cole go to the potty out there. And I'm looking at my phone with a flashlight on and your Instagram story or thread or whatever it was, maybe a bs. That's a blue sky, Tim, of whoever it was playing psp.
Andy Cortez
And you're like me, Duncan.
Greg Miller
Me in bed playing my video games after a Spurs win or a Cowboys win or whatever. I was like. That warmed my heart. I was like, I know that feeling. Just being so cozy and happy after something.
Andy Cortez
Absolutely. That's the go to Duncan. Come on. You got to recognize Tim Duncan.
Greg Miller
Listen, I'm just saying I didn't commit that to memory.
Mike
They used to play Starcraft on the airplane.
Greg Miller
I remember that.
Tim Gettys
Remember in August when we got really into Rainbow six Siege, we really played it. We played a lot of Rainbow six Siege.
Mike
We put down a whole week of different games and we said, we're gonna try these games out.
Andy Cortez
A lot of fun with it.
Greg Miller
We were.
Tim Gettys
Dad, I miss it.
Mike
We were never.
Tim Gettys
We were getting sick at Rainbow six Siege and then we stopped.
Greg Miller

Like subscribe share of course ring the bell if you are watching live super chat on YouTube.com kind to funny games. You can give us your questions, comments, concerns, what games you're excited for January so I can include your stuff what games we're missing when we start talking about them. You can also say stuff that is objectively wrong and stupid. Like Yorokaz who says Happy Holidays kfc. That's great. And then Rock chalk Greggy, Rock chalk Jayhawks. You're the one who gave me the money to say it, so you're really stupid. So now you know what I mean. I'm gonna have to part of that. I don't need to deal. I don't want to deal with it. Of course, like I said, we're all about live talk shows. You already got Kinda Funny Games Daily with me and Bruce Straley. It's already making headlines throughout the video game industries as he ranted and raved about AI as he talked about the the origins of his game Coven of the Chicken Foot. I don't know what's wrong with me.
Andy Cortez
Coven.
Greg Miller
I don't know what's wrong with me. I saw a little movie as a child called Ghostbusters 2. Andy, of course you remember a classic scene in Ghostbusters. The intro to it starts, we're in Rey's occult bookshop. Somebody leaves and he goes, my best to the coven. And it was the first time I had ever heard Coven. And so I was like, oh, and witches I understood. Blah blah blah. And then for some reason since the debut of Coven of the Chicken Foot at Game Wars, I'm like Covid I'm like, why am I saying it like that? Why am I. I guess Covid.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, that's COVID 19.
Greg Miller
Rewrote my DNA. Covid rewrote.
Tim Gettys
My pronunciation changed after Covid.
Greg Miller
Oh my God. Anyway, this is a great Games Daily. You should go check it out.
Mike
Really great Games Daily.
Greg Miller
After this, it's a sponsored Once Upon a Galaxy stream. And after that, like I said, it's our December Happy hour on patreon.com kindafunny if you're a member. Like I said, today's Greg Way is going to be a banger. I had to drive really fast and erratically to get here on time because of a plumber. So I didn't record a Greg Way in the car. I had to be focused. Need for speed mode. Men in Black driving up on the top of the tunnel, you know, Remember
Mike
when he did that?
Greg Miller
That was awesome, man. Elvis didn't die, he just went back. He went. Thank you to our Patreon producers. Car. You watch Men in Black?
Tim Gettys
Yeah, dude, I watch so much Men in Black.
Greg Miller
Have we done Men in Black in review, Andy?
Tim Gettys
No, that'd be what I'd be down to do.
Andy Cortez
I mean, there's just. For the one good one, like, okay, you. This one good one.
Tim Gettys
What's the second one? What's the second good one?
Mike
The first two.
Tim Gettys
Men in Black 2.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I'm just saying this one.
Mike
Good.
Greg Miller
How about this? They're enjoyable.
Andy Cortez
I don't remember two or three much.
Greg Miller
Laura. Laura, Flynn Boyle and Johnny Knoxville.
Andy Cortez
Come on. Oh my God.
Tim Gettys
Which one was two? The one where, oh, the Galaxy's on Orion's belt. Yeah, that was one.
Andy Cortez
Okay.
Greg Miller
Yeah, one. One rocked.
Tim Gettys
I loved one.
Greg Miller
Yeah, that was a great one. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Psalm. Twining for now, let's begin with what is and forever will be topic of the show.
Tim Gettys
This is crazy because I know we've talked about how much we moved away from like just console gaming and PC becoming more and more of a thing. It's crazy to look at my PlayStation Wrapped and see like, oh, I've only put in this many hours and it's not like I put in two hours, right? But it's like less than previous years and to look at my Steam and it is. I played 31 more games this year on Steam than I did last year. I played so much more games on Steam than I did on PlayStation this year. It's crazy.
Mike
Time to change games.
Tim Gettys
Times are changing.
Greg Miller
I thought I got 22 games more than last year, which I would expect it had been a lot more. But I guess I turn stuff on on Steam.
Tim Gettys
You know what, don't you use Xbox a lot?
Greg Miller
Yeah, that's true too. My game pass and all that jazz. But we're not talking about that. That should be a topic. Maybe we can do it when we first get back. But there's so much going on. Maybe we shall do Greg ways. I don't know what we're going to go do. We got content today though. We're talking about every game coming out in January 2026. Our monthly rundown of what's upcoming. And first off, let's give a round of applause to Blessing. Adio Ye Jr. Of course, last time we did this he called out releases.com that we should be going there in addition to Game Informer. Not we're not talking shit about Game Informer. We love Game Informer. Except of course that my magazines are always late for some reason. Now I don't know what's all about, but I went yesterday to build this, did the Game Informer list and I was like man, slowish month for games. And I was like, you know what, I'll just look in on releases. And there was like so many more. And I was so mad at you for like, for like half of like the hour I was working. I was so mad, I'm like, why Blessing? Tell me on this fucking site. And then I was like, by the end of it I was like this is going to make for a much better show than me being wrong about a lot of stuff.
Tim Gettys
Releases.com, the difference is that Game Informer will get you every game, but it will get you like every big game. It doesn't get you the nitty gritty details that releases.com will.
Greg Miller
DLCs. But also Game Informer has not updated recently for 20 for January 2026. So there was a lot of stuff in here that. So it's a jam packed month. We need dive right in. We will turn our eyes to January 5 when dune crawl comes out. Dune Crawl is an open world action adventure game where you take to the sandy seas atop a gigantic crustacean festoon with black powder cannons, play a solo crab keeper or with a crew of up to three other friends in local and online co op. I did go through this list and try to editorialize a bit. We can't do every game and give them a full description and trailer, right? So I kind of call that stuff that I look at and I go, I could See Mike playing this. This seems like the Mike might get into or blessing obviously, but this you're saying ooh and wow.
Tim Gettys
Well, just for the art style looks really cool. It's a top down isometric, colorful, cartoon like art style that is really cute to look at.
Greg Miller
Is it doing anything for anybody in terms of something they'd want to try and play?
Andy Cortez
I mean, I would like to maybe try this out. I don't know how much I'd get into it, but I think the art style is super cute. Yeah, I. There's something about, you know, not all sort of cel shaded with outlined art styles are created equal. And yeah, of course this one looks really darn good though. I like the way it looks.
Greg Miller
Well, That's Dune Crawl, January 5th.
Tim Gettys
If we did a kind of funny stream on this, I would. I would play it for sure. I don't know if I'll just play this on my free time by myself just because like so many, it kind
Greg Miller
of has a fat princess vibe to it. Glancing at it, I'd be interested to see. Yeah, Mike, Mike. Put on the schedule.
Tim Gettys
Put on the schedule, Mike.
Mike
Oh, hey, hey now.
Greg Miller
World of Magic Rise of Magic comes to PC January 5th. No trailer for this one, but the description is a thrilling action RPG with rich story and open world set in a fantasy world full of monsters and bustling cities.
Tim Gettys
We got to fix that title.
Greg Miller
I jumped in and like the title matches the trailer. We'll say that isn't a positive thing.
Tim Gettys
Okay.
Andy Cortez
Oh, no.
Greg Miller
We go to star rupture. Coming January 6th, the PC Early Access.
Andy Cortez
Oh, you're saying there was a trailer,
Greg Miller
but I'm not showing it. Star Ruptured is a first person open world base building game with advanced combat and tons of exploration. Play alone or in a group on this sublime and ever changing planet. Extract and manage resources, create your complex industrial system and fight off hordes of alien monsters. There's a lot of sims and a lot of like building and a lot of shit that I could see Mike never touching or spending obscene amounts of hours playing.
Mike
Yeah, it's a weird one for me, Greg, because like, it's got to be the certain game, right? Me and Washy played Astroneer once and that's like a beloved game that got a lot of critical acclaim and I just did not vibe with it at all. And then we play a game like Subnautica where it's like, oh, I will build in this for hundreds of hours and this is my shit. And so it's got to be like, I don't know, the right moment, the right game, the right look. This one's kind of got the subnautica look to it, so I kind of dig that. I wonder what will be my next survival crafting game, because I am looking for one for 2026.
Greg Miller
Okay. Well, this looks like you're satisfactory.
Mike
This one's got some.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Mike
Factory building here, which I've never gotten into.
Sponsor Voice
Oh, really?
Greg Miller
I thought you were into satisfactory.
Mike
No, no, I know. Wow. I'm really trying. Yeah, that's the one where I'm like, I wonder if I'd be good at that. I like efficiency. I like optimizing.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Mike
I like getting the best out of everything that I do. So, like, maybe I would like running a factory. This has also got some cool vibes to it.
Andy Cortez
There's something about once we get to. To factory lines where I just get really overwhelmed. Like, it's. It scares me and I don't. That's like one extra level further than what I want to do in one of these games. And I love making things in these games.
Tim Gettys
I see. I see like, yeah, the satisfactories or something like this, and I see all the. All the. What do they call it? The lines or whatever. Right. And I'm like, oh, that looks. That looks fun. That looks enticing. That looks satisfying for my brain. I'd rather just do that with something in my real life as opposed to playing in a video game. Like, if I could take that and apply it to my work, I'd rather figure out how to optimize things that I do at work as opposed to, like, optimizing things in a video game.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, not.
Tim Gettys
Not in like a. That sounds demeaning, but, like, more so in a. Just how. What I look for out of. Out of fun.
Mike
I'd love to know if Nick would vibe with this. He really got into the base building in Dune and really started thinking about his base in a different way. Optimizing that in the workflow of it. So I wonder if we, like, if we were to play this together, if Nick would start to vibe into the idea of, like, these production lines and rebuilding that kind of system. I think he might like that.
Andy Cortez
I think there's something neat about the. The mixture of being able to build a bunch of stuff with your friends while also having, like, these hordes of aliens, like.
Greg Miller
Sure. First person.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, that's. That's a really cool mixture. There's always. There's always not enough of one of those elements in a lot of these games that we play when we. When I talk about how much I loved building in Dune and that's what the game just kind of became for me. And then when it became any. When I had to do any combat, I just wasn't really looking forward to it because it was lacking. Or when we talk about other games where it's like, ah, the building here is lacking. I really wish they had more of what we liked about Icarus and things like that. This looks like it could maybe hit the best balance between those two.
Greg Miller
We will keep our eyes peeled then for Star Rupture. But now I turn my eyes to YouTube.com kinda funnygamesuperchats where you can be part of the show. The co op bros are watching and they say we previewed Dune Crawl and it's a blast. We're a co op focused channel. I immediately subscribed with the kind of funny channel. The production value co op rose on your shit here is awesome. What a great thing. Kevin. It's going to come up but at the 28 second mark. If you can pause like obviously they're talking about all the other stuff they played but then they have this amazing. This looks like this is on par with ign. Pause it right there. Preview Dune Crawl previewed by the amount of time played the platform on played with, that's fucking rad. But that co op rose I'm following now. Congratulations.
Tim Gettys
I will be looking such a fun niche like co op being your thing.
Greg Miller
Kind of funny folks who are watching and listening later. The co op Rose are at 98.4 thousand subscribers. I know way more than 2000 of you will watch this and listen to this. So go find the co op Bros on YouTube. Toss them a follow. I like that.
Tim Gettys
I like the idea of like split fiction being their GTA 6 like the next he's like, he's like, all right
Greg Miller
guys, batting down the hatches. From there we got a hit list of games that are coming out that I didn't think necessarily anybody would vibe with. Rivals of Ether 2 Lorena, I think
Tim Gettys
I assume Lorena is just the character because Rivals of Ether 2 has been out.
Greg Miller
I'm still learning releases dot com. So yeah, I understand it's some kind of update. I was going to get that. That's January 6th, Fairy Tale Dungeons comes to Switch. January 7th, Cozy Caravan comes to PC Switch. Apple Arcade. January 8th I Am Future Cozy Apocalypse Survival comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X Switch. January 8th Go Kart island comes to Switch. January 9th Pathological 3 comes to PC January 9th and then our Next stop on this train, Code Violet comes to PlayStation 5 on January 10th. We have a trailer for you. Dive into Code Violet, an exhilarating third person action horror game from Team Kill Media. Anybody remember Code Violet? This is one of those ones that kind of blinked into existence where PlayStation was making a big deal about it. All of a sudden we're like, oh,
Tim Gettys
okay, was that a state of play? Do you remember where they.
Greg Miller
I forget if it was that or if it was a blog post or whatever where they popped up with it, but just another one from PlayStation that they're behind.
Tim Gettys
I feel like I usually do a good job of keeping up with like the PlayStation stuff, but I don't recall this one.
Greg Miller
I forget where we started talking about this chat. Let me know.
Tim Gettys
It looks like a third person.
Andy Cortez
I didn't like that. Run cycle.
Greg Miller
No, that's one of the reasons it's here. Zeke, speak points. It's rough. No, no, he's not pointing out, he's calling it out. Guys, it's rough. Yeah, I remember this one getting blinked into existence. Getting talked about into existence. I don't remember, but like I wanted to call out of a game that's like clearly going for something, but like
Andy Cortez
out shooting, out kicking the coverage.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly.
Tim Gettys
Stealing third person action shooter 25th century. A cataclysm has left Earth uninhabitable. Driving humanity survivors to Trappist1e. Facing extinction due to sterility. The Aeon colony harnesses cutting edge time travel technology.
Andy Cortez
I do remember this. I do remember this. Yeah, I. I remember especially thinking just how, how rough a lot of the animations looked, you know?
Greg Miller
Sure, sure, sure is.
Tim Gettys
Heart stopping survival gameplay. Strategic inventory management. Explosive action. Horror Come. I mean, that sounds like a Resident
Greg Miller
Evil, but again, rough, but something to keep your eyes peeled. Maybe to be one of those fun little gems, you know what I mean? A double A game we get into that you know, isn't the best thing in the world, but doesn't need to be. And speaking of. Over in the live chat, it's gone, but someone called out and said it's a shame they're not watching the Pathological 3 trailer. We make the content for you. Let's watch the Pathological 3 trailer. Pathological 3. Oh my God. Sorry, sorry.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Pathologic 3. In this psychological horror game, you are a doctor with only 12 days to save a town from a serious plague. Make ruthless decisions and diagnose with precision. Shape the town's future and rewrite the past. Hold yourself together while it all Falls apart. This is coming out January 9th. An interesting idea for a game here. Being a doctor going through.
Andy Cortez
What I'm looking more forward to is the H Bomber guy video that he'll probably make on this because he. Fantastic video essayist on essayist. Is that a right.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, no, that's good.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, on YouTube. But the videos that he made on the prior two Pathologic games were fantastic. And it's just there's such bizarre, weird games that feel like they almost like. Like they exist despite, like not doing the most gangbusters of sales or whatever. And I'm certainly fascinated to see what a lot of people's thoughts are on this because I know nothing about the other games other than what I saw in those video essays.
Greg Miller
Mike, are you gonna go be a doctor?
Mike
No, this one, when you read that up, sounded like a blessing game to me. He does like a solving a good mystery, Love doctors being posed or having a lot of choices in front of him and making the hard decisions. I think this is a blessing one.
Tim Gettys
Maybe I'll check it out. We'll see.
Greg Miller
Well, let's talk about a Greg one then. All right. Coming to Android on January 10th is Bluey's quest for the Gold Pen. Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen is a brand new game inviting players to unlock Bluey's drawings brought to real life. This is already on iOS. I have it on my phone. I just have not made the time to do it. Obviously I love Bluey. Ben loves Bluey. The Bluey video game that came to consoles not so long ago that I reviewed and platinumed was not a great one. This one seems to have the stuff in mainly because Halfbrick is behind it. If you remember Halfbrick, they were old, old, old. Ign, Greg Miller, stories of Phil coming to town and us going drinking and then making the Endless Runner where you shot the zombies that then became its own thing. And then of course they went and made a little game called Fruit Ninja and kind of changed their lives and it all like exploded and did the whole stuff. Patrick Klepik, of course, one of my favorite sub stacks had one come through cross play yesterday what it's like to make a Bluey video game. Bluey is the biggest thing in the world for most children. Halfbrick was tasked with turning the beloved television show into a video game. No pressure, right? This is a great interview he has with Half Brick about what they're doing, why they put it into the Bluey drawn world. It looks great. Jetpack joyride. Thank you so much. A lot of great stuff. Again, I haven't played it. It does look great though, because it looks like a real video game. I think if I'm remembering correctly, they've talked about bringing it to consoles eventually. PC eventually. But something to keep your eye on if you are a Bluey fan like me.
Andy Cortez
That looks cute as hell.
Tim Gettys
Looks really cool.
Greg Miller
Speaking of cute as hell. Greg Way January 12th. CC's Big Hops come to Switch PC and PlayStation 5. Tongue swing free. Climb and build your own path forward in a new kind of 3D platformer. Plant veggie bounce pads, tightropes, hook shots, and much more. Find a way home through huge desert, ocean and mountain worlds and collect bugs. Upgrade your backpack and meet animal friends along the way. Big hops. Another one we've seen before and everybody's like, oh, here it is. Imminent.
Tim Gettys
Very big 3D Mario. Plus some 3D Zelda vibes to it. I played this one as part of Steam Next Fest and if you're somebody who looks at it, loves the colorful art style, loves the games I just mentioned, I think it's definitely worth checking out. Like you can even see as his name hops. I forget what this frog's name is, but as he's climbing, you can even see the stamina meter go down. Kind of like a Zelda, like a modern 3D Zelda. But so much of the energy and like kind of the vibe of it gives Mario 64 banger kazooie like that sort of energy.
Andy Cortez
Is it, Is it along the line, story wise of. Of little Gator game, which is a very short game that everybody's like, oh, you know, this is kind of a. A tear jerker and it's gonna make you, you know, it's. It's gonna make you feel some stuff. Or is it just I'm a little frog guy and I'm doing, you know,
Tim Gettys
I'm pretty sure it's more I'm a little frog. Yeah, just from the beginning part that I played, who knows, maybe halfway through you learned that his cousin died. Well, as far as I understand, it's more. It's more like Kevin's laugh killing me.
Greg Miller
Amazing.
Andy Cortez
Is this a frog type game? Oh, shit.
Tim Gettys
Oh, shit. Fucking was Team Gummy Bears or whatever.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, the Gummy Bears. Sony.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, the frog type beer.
Greg Miller
Mike, this one is ripped from the headlines for you. On January 14th, Street Dog BMX comes out. Get ready for massive tricks. High scores and gnarly slams in Street Dog bmx.
Andy Cortez
I'll be honest with you, I expected a dog on A bike.
Greg Miller
Audio listeners. BMX bikes, people. Very colorful, very skate. Like carve your way through six huge maps featuring hidden spots, handcrafted challenges and flowing lines.
Mike
Fantastic. I mean looks like, looks like I'm in on that one.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, that might be a wish list for me as well. Can I. If I can say something insane. I like when you ride bicycles in video games. In G, in Boy, in gta, San Andreas or in Bully. Right. Like I don't know why I always love to opt for a bike now. Not in long distance drives. In gta. Of course if I'm going from Los Santos to San Fierro, I'll get in the car. But if I'm just in the neighborhood, wheel, I mean wheel world being another one. Even though I fell off a wheel
Greg Miller
world felt good on the bike. It was the progression and what are we doing and yet.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, something about, about a bike in a video game.
Greg Miller
Street dog BMX coming up. January 14th. I'm excited about that one. We got a. Yeah, it's like a play on the high helium intelligent YouTube I think.
Tim Gettys
I don't know.
Greg Miller
Anyway, super chats and says I played intelligent. I. They didn't spell it that way though.
Andy Cortez
But it's a play.
Tim Gettys
How'd they.
Greg Miller
I don't like it. I played big hops demo and the movement is very good. So something to look out for for big hops as well. January 15th, Animal Crossing. New Horizons Switch 2 arrives. Of course, you know, Joey and myself are up in arms ready for this, the hotel open on the island, hopefully better load times, etc. Etc. Stoked for more Animal Crossing. I. For me the big concern slash question is will it grab me and bring me back? I haven't actually put in time on my island in a long, long, long, long time. So my hope is because I'm very ready and interested to go back that I'll boot this up, have better loads, have all that stuff, have the new hotel to put out and then maybe, you know, redo my island.
Andy Cortez
Now let me ask, let me ask you this.
Greg Miller
Please give me some real questions.
Andy Cortez
Is this something that you want to. To grab you and take all of your time away or are you at the point where you're like I really need to be playing other stuff?
Greg Miller
Well, no, so great question, Andy, thank you very much. Why you are the number one games journal.
Andy Cortez
Thank you.
Greg Miller
Yes and no. It's January 15th I feel is a great placement because I as I keep narrating on Greg way about my thing here. I'm gonna beat Metroid I'm gonna go beat Donkey Kong. Then I'm gonna start up the altars, right Then I might. Then I'm like, I might want to do another try at Baldur's Gate 3 as I've been talking about. So you have. All of a sudden I have this open area where I could go play something new, old, where I'm not. I don't think. I don't think. January 15th, I'm going to be inundated with five different reviews. So I'm like, okay, cool, we can go in and do all this different stuff.
Andy Cortez
Kebabs.
Greg Miller
Kebab says to correct Greg, many of These features are 3.0 update. Switch 2 is getting mic mouse and 12 player multiplayer. You are correct, Kebabs, of course, though this is what's bringing me back and why I'm excited for the Switch 2 version. But you are correct. 3.0 is this day as well if you have normal animal cross. But I don't know. I'm hopeful that, yeah, I'm going to get in there and have a good week, maybe more with it. My thought is I'm going to get in there though, and be like, I don't like the wrestling ring here, but I don't want to move it either and go through all the, you know, trouble of that. But maybe I don't. I'm not going to be crazy like Joey and fucking rebuild my island. That's an insane thing to do. She's an insane person.
Andy Cortez
I think a lot of the times whenever I do get back into a game of this style is I see one thing I want to change. And then I go through the checklist of all the things that would have to be wired to. To make everything else change according to that. And I go, no, thanks. And that's like, like I got.
Greg Miller
I'm not gonna do this.
Andy Cortez
I'm not sure.
Greg Miller
Yeah, get out of there. You can't do that.
Tim Gettys
You're gonna like the altars, by the way. I know that seems like such a great.
Greg Miller
It is a great game. It is a great game. It's one of those. I. I had a mental breakdown when I was doing the Greg way about what I wanted to play over holiday break because it seemed like I wasn't gonna be able to fit it in. And I know I need to because I know it's so close to being a great game. Did you know that Metroid prime was going to be a great game? I didn't know that.
Tim Gettys
Wow, you're. How far are you?
Greg Miller
Not that many I'm like probably seven hours in. I mean, I mean I guess for how big that game is. Yeah, yeah, I think I got two keys left or whatever for that part or whatever.
Andy Cortez
I got my, I got my second key last. I was like, man, this game.
Greg Miller
Well, it's like that thing is like I've been fighting the urge because it doesn't make any sense, but I just gave in last night where I'm playing the game and I'm having such a great time. I just immediately went out to the menu, went in redone, redownloaded, remaster, redownload, dread. I'm in turns on Metroid. Might be Metroid, you know.
Tim Gettys
Holy gamer.
Andy Cortez
Oh, also big news, big news for, for anybody who's into like remote play on non PlayStation portal devices. The newer version of the app that you could put on your Steam deck.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Chiaki makes it that it's not a pain in the ass to remote play in from other places.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Andy Cortez
So like usually it's like, yeah, when it's local, it's this way. But whenever you want to like log in from wherever, across the country, it's a lot harder to do. So now it's like a lot easier and I, I got that going. I was playing a lot of, a lot of that yote on Steam day.
Greg Miller
Nice job.
Tim Gettys
Whatever happened to my like mine timed out and I just never figured out how to fix it. Like I try to open up the jockey thing and it was like you gotta go into your PlayStation settings and turn on a thing. And I was like, I ain't got time for that.
Andy Cortez
I think because the app updated maybe and it requires some like refresh.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Of the, of a pin or whatever. But once you get that done, then I can now play back in Texas on my. Oh, that's cool. You know, that sort of thing.
Greg Miller
January 15th also sees the Legend of Heroes trails beyond the horizon. PS5, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, Switch 2 in. I'm sorry. The future of an entire content is at stake in this milestone entry in the Trails that say Trails Before Trails series. I was, I don't know, screwed up. Anybody in, anybody doing this. I know it's a game for a lot of us in a different life.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I, I tried Trails of Cold Steel years and years ago and like liked what I played, but it was very much a. If I'm gonna play through this, I gotta dedicate my Life to probably 70 hours of gameplay and it didn't have that in me. But I look at this game and I think it, it looks Cool.
Andy Cortez
That was on Mike's fantasy, right?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Mike, are you going to get this one?
Mike
Sky.
Tim Gettys
Ian, this one is the same. I think it's the same.
Mike
Don't even think about Fantasy Critic next year, okay? Don't think.
Tim Gettys
Don't think about it. He's already. He's already playing.
Greg Miller
I wonder if this one's up your alley. Blessing. Cassette boy comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 15th. This has been out on Steam. All you see. I'm sorry? All you see is. All there is Cassette Boy. A puzzle rpg.
Tim Gettys
I'm in.
Greg Miller
Where what exists depends on you. Where. We're still in development and plan to add tons of new mechanics, monsters and puzzles. Stay tuned.
Tim Gettys
Wait, so it's already on PC and what?
Greg Miller
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. I thought it was.
Tim Gettys
I mean, maybe there's like an old write up. Yeah, I'm finding a. Yeah, that's what
Greg Miller
I pulled it from.
Tim Gettys
But this looks.
Greg Miller
Oh, no, no, it's not. It's. I'm sorry, this is not out on Steam.
Sponsor Voice
Wow.
Greg Miller
Oh, but it is coming. Interesting. The data I had didn't include PC, but the Steam page does include PC
Tim Gettys
on the for releases dot com.
Greg Miller
You're slipping.
Tim Gettys
You're slipping.
Greg Miller
Right?
Tim Gettys
This looks fucking neat. I'm all about it.
Greg Miller
Yeah. If you're not looking what I would describe it as looking like a Game Boy kind of game. But you're spinning the perspective and going through and talking to people and figuring it all out.
Tim Gettys
People in chat are comparing it to Fez, which I think is God.
Andy Cortez
FEZ is so good, huh?
Greg Miller
This is from the Steam page. At first glance, Cassette Boy looks like a simple pixel art game. But there's much more beneath the surface. What appears to be 2D world is actually 3D. By rotating the world, what is visible or invisible from the protagonist point of view changes entirely.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, literally. This is just. This is Fez, but from like an isometric point of view.
Greg Miller
Very cool.
Tim Gettys
Interesting.
Greg Miller
All right, I'm on the. It's. I wish listed. It's wish listed. I'm gonna wish list from there. We have Broken lore unfollow coming PlayStation 5 and PC. January 16th. And then ghost cam comes to PC and meta quest. I'm sorry, January 19th. It made the list here as a little ghost game to go through and look around with your camera. Your camera sees what your eyes cannot explore. Eerie liminal spaces. Capture spirits before they capture you and unravel a haunting mystery. But beware. The deeper you go, the more the World distorts and some ghosts will do anything to remain unseen. Of course, being a ghostbuster like myself and a Fatal Frame fan, this gets interesting. As I said, it's PC and Meta Quest. You can play it in the old flat screen mode, so you don't need to be in the VR world if you don't want to be, which I wouldn't want to be. Mike, you play a lot of the crazy.
Mike
Have you ever thought about playing phasmophobia?
Greg Miller
I've played it with you. I have played it with you. I had fun with you.
Mike
I'm a crazy loss than that. This does look fun, though.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Mike
This is giving phasmophobia vibes.
Greg Miller
See a single player go through with the ghost, that's more my jam. Because I don't have to worry about trying to get.
Mike
You don't get to hear me scream.
Greg Miller
I know, I know. Maybe we can.
Tim Gettys
What do they call the flat screeners on the VR? Just flat screeners.
Greg Miller
That sounds very derogatory. Very derogatory. Here's an interesting one I think we might all install on our computers. Mio memories in orbit. PlayStation 5, Xbox, Switch 2, PC and Switch.
Andy Cortez
This is the one I showed you and you said, I don't like this.
Greg Miller
I'm back now. January 20th. Play as an Android Mio in this mesmerizing Metroidvania, where you explore the vessel, an enormous technological ark overgrown with machines gone rogue. Uncover its secrets, enhance Mio's abilities, and save the spaceship and its residents from oblivion. I can't believe this is January. What I would like to tell you, everybody, is that I. Stand down, Andy. I was incorrect. I skipped the game. I wanted us all to play. So this is Mio, everybody. I got confused.
Tim Gettys
I was gonna say, there's a lot going on.
Greg Miller
There's a lot going on. There's a lot going on. Andy, let's talk about this one. You're into this one?
Andy Cortez
Well, yeah. We saw this at a Nintendo Direct a long time ago. I just. I liked the way the mechanics looked of, like the. The weird sort of hair tendrils is kind of what guide you through this world. I remember we brought up the trailer because you hadn't seen it, and you're like, I don't like this. I don't like that you showed me this. You're like, I resent you for sure.
Greg Miller
I was doing it for fun. Giggles and stuff. This is not my type of game. I. But I'm. I. Obviously not. I don't think it looks bad. It looks very beautiful. It's just not what I'd want to play. Anybody else going to touch it?
Andy Cortez
I'm definitely going to give it a
Greg Miller
shot for what I wanted to talk about. What we all should install and play together is on Together PC and Mac January 19th a virtual co working game. To work, play games and hang out with your friends. Stay connected while you work and use break times to chat, chill, chew bubblegum and more. So it's like one of those games that's running on your desktop while you do other stuff apparently and you can go off and then, you know, hang out and do whatever. So it's kind of Mike's favorite thing that could happen. Just more time with Andy.
Mike
God, trying to find more time with him every single day. Anything that I can come up with.
Tim Gettys
There's a way to play video games at work.
Greg Miller
On Together is a cozy virtual co working game that sits at the bottom of your screen while you focus on your tasks and socialize at break time, stay connected while you study in a shared co working.
Mike
This is something Roger would use.
Greg Miller
Chat room. It's a shared co working chat room. It's you know, it's slack but we're all talking to each other and playing games.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I saw some people using this for like a Twitch integration thing where, where you could see people, people in the chat would be represented by the little avatar and they'd all be different. People from chat would be sitting down at a table together like kind of working together and really, really cute shit. I don't really know how else it works outside of that but yeah, it seems like a little cute concept.
Greg Miller
Use your personal built in focus timer to do list and journal to track tasks, set goals and reflect on your progress, keeping you focused and motivated.
Andy Cortez
It really feels like web fishing was sort of the start of a lot of these sort of online hang things where web fishing is a very, very low Poly Lo Fi 3D game where it's just you and your friends fishing with. There's no, there's no missions, there's no, it's, it's like very, very feature light game but it's just you and your friends hanging out in a, in a third space or whatever.
Tim Gettys
Let me tell you about PlayStation Home.
Greg Miller
Oh we, you know too early on it was ahead of its time. The last faith awakened Ancients Switch PlayStation 4 Xbox One January 20th Blightstone on PC January 20th Silt on iOS and Android January 20th. That's a game that again has been out. It's I believe well received from its PC thing But instead we're going to talk about lore. L o R T Lort PC January 21st. Lort is a one to eight player co op action roguelike. Team up with your friends to battle loot and stack ridiculous power ups across this. Do you need another action role, roguelike, Andy?
Andy Cortez
Not really, but you know I always have my mind open for some new ones.
Greg Miller
We're getting the Lord trailer up right now. Shout out to Kevin, who grabbed this because I did not have it on the page. I don't know what happened there. I apologize, Kevin. I never mean to leave you here. You guys. Good art style.
Andy Cortez
It's in the. It's in one of those between areas where I'm like. I don't know if I like the art style, but I also don't dislike it. Like I. I like the. The. The sort of lo fi nature of it. But I. There are some parts of it that do look a little too low budge. That means low budget.
Greg Miller
Well, fine then move on.
Tim Gettys
This reminds me a little bit of.
Greg Miller
I said move on.
Tim Gettys
Hyper light break.
Greg Miller
I can see that. Yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
Which also didn't really set the world on fire, unfortunately.
Greg Miller
Now I see over there, show ignore says it's Fortnite art, which isn't. No, no, no. I mean it looks like care. No, it kind of got a caravan, sandwich, dungeons. But it's like we can't just say this is Fortnite art.
Tim Gettys
But like I could see the. I could see Fortnite being in the pitch room like when they first were
Greg Miller
talking about mood board.
Tim Gettys
Well, on the mood board. Yeah. What's the vibe? What do we want to go with with our multiplayer game? Well, everybody loves Fortnite and also these things. Like I could see it starting there, but I think we can't call anything as colorful.
Greg Miller
Fortnite. Yeah. Tailside Cozy Cafe. Sim comes to PC January 21st and then Mike January 22nd night. Enfield.
Mike
Here it is.
Greg Miller
Arknights. Enfield is a 3D real time strategy RPG developed by Hypergriph. You will take on the role of the administrator of Enfield Industry set out across Talos 2 to uncover its secrets and defend the Expand and expand the frontiers. Of course we did sponsorship with these folks, but Mike, you did a stream of it. You went down and played it. You talked to the devs, did the whole shebang. You are legit excited for it.
Mike
I am legit excited for this. I told everyone in 2025 I'm going to step out of my bubble. 2026 plus back in the bubble. Big games that I want to try out Gotcha games. Okay. Got Chuck.
Andy Cortez
You don't need those.
Mike
I'm gonna try one.
Greg Miller
Do you want to ask somebody who can't stop spending money on video games?
Tim Gettys
I was all the different kinds of my other one.
Mike
World of Tanks. Slash World of Warships. Okay, I'm gonna try both of those. Those are gonna be the two genres I give a little taste to. Okay, then with both of you. Both of you, you requested.
Andy Cortez
You're adding a third one.
Mike
We're gonna play Prime. No. What's the other one? That's that Destiny. But it wasn't Destiny.
Andy Cortez
Warframe.
Tim Gettys
We're gonna play Warframe. Oh, hell yeah.
Mike
Write those three down for your boy Mike. Then, boom, the other two, we're jumping in.
Tim Gettys
I'm excited.
Greg Miller
From there. January 22, Dynasty Warriors Origin comes to Switch again. This is one that's been other places. Now it's just getting the Switch thing. Become immersed in exhilarating battles as a nameless hero in the three kingdoms. Anybody? Mike, you like Dynasty?
Mike
I love Dynasty.
Greg Miller
Did you play Origins? Would you come back?
Mike
Yes, I would. Well, not on my Switch, too. I've had fun on my PC and it's on Steam Deck as well. Also running on my Rog. Ally.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah.
Mike
But I would say if you like Dynasty wars, it's a great way to get back into it for sure.
Greg Miller
Well, for Warframe, what's the. What's the. Not Warframe. The other one. That was Frame. Yeah, that one's supposed to be dope, right? And we all signed up for trying to get in. Yeah, but I still haven't touched it.
Andy Cortez
Soul Frame is really cool. It's still, like, super early in. It's the same depth, but it's there. Their fantasy version of it.
Mike
What's up with this Nova Roma game? Now, now you got something cooking here. Because I'll tell you what, Anno delivered you guys.
Greg Miller
Oh, you're. You're four games ahead. Stop.
Mike
Am I?
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah. I still got Cult of the Lamb, Final Fantasy Hermit, the Pig, and so many more games after I remind you we couldn't do this show or any of our shows without your support. We had an indie company reach out to us hoping we could help promote their card game. I checked it out and I'm having a delightful time. It's called Once Upon a Galaxy. I downloaded it and it's really easy to get started. I instantly started fighting crazy combos, developing my strategy and admiring the beautiful character art. Something super unique and cool is its PvP, but there are no timers. Start a game, set your phone down for five minutes and pick it up and jump back in right where you left off. How do they do this PvP with no timers? I don't know. It's magic. The games are quick, but really lives up to the phrase easy to learn, impossible to master. I keep finding new stuff every time I play. I love the themes and the art of the cards, from fairy tale heroes and villains to sharks with lasers on their heads. I also love setting up sweet support characters on my backline to help boost my frontline cards. Once Upon a Galaxy is crossplay on your phone and PC. You can download it right now for free. Head over to kindafunny.com galaxy to check it out.
Greg Miller
If you live for high stakes runs, tight teamwork, and that rush when the extraction timer is ticking down, this might be your next obsession. You've already seen us obsessing over Arc Raiders, the multiplayer extraction adventure set on a lethal future Earth where mechanized killing machines rule the surface and humanity hides below. As a raider, you brave topside to loot, complete quests, fight ark robots, and extract safely if you can, underground. In Speranza, you'll upgrade your den, boost your abilities, and gear up for raids. On the surface, there are no rules. Swarms of drones, massive robots, and rival raiders make every trip unique. Choose solo, duo or squad of three, but rival players are never far away. Team up or take their loot. What kind of raider will you be in the Rust Belt? Arc Raiders is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and PC.

January 22nd. We'll see the DLC. Cult of the Lamb. Woolhaven. Come to PlayStation, Xbox, PC. Cult of the Land. Woolhaven picks up where the original game's main story left off. In Woolhaven, an unexpected calling from a forgotten God takes you on a perilous new adventure across a distant mountain to the titular Woolhaven ancestral home of the lambs. I reviewed at launch called the Lamb and really liked it. And I feel like it's one of those games I always think about coming back to and doing a new run of because I definitely don't remember anything from, like, where I left off years ago now, but I still just don't think I would.
Andy Cortez
I'm just going to say this. The month is dead enough, and there has never been a better time to hop in to Cult of the Lamb.
Greg Miller
Are you. Because Lamb guy. I don't remember that.
Andy Cortez
I really. I really, really dug part one. I mean, I. I think. Think it. It had its shortcomings. I didn't like. I wasn't in love with it, but I. I had a good time with it. I think now with all of the feedback that's been received with the, you know, tack that on to three or four.
Greg Miller
There's been so many.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Expansions that have come out since then. Yeah. I'm stoked to see exactly what has been added. You know, I want to go back.
Greg Miller
You want to. You want to run it back?
Andy Cortez
I'm gonna hop back in. Yeah.
Mike
All right.
Greg Miller
Run it back, everybody. Put that on.
Andy Cortez
I had such a great time.
Greg Miller
Me too.
Andy Cortez
Naming all my dudes.
Greg Miller
I know, right?
Andy Cortez
I just didn't like that they lived for a day, you know, I was like, I want. I want to. Want to build Greg Miller's story of the guy who goes out and now I'm gonna have to murder him because he's like, you know, he's trying to. To start a riot over here in my. In my camp or whatever.
Greg Miller
Remember when they ate poop?
Andy Cortez
Oh, yeah. You would feed them poop. Yeah, they didn't like that.
Greg Miller
Love that game. I mean, I'll do to you. I'll reinstall. I'll get in there.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Speaking of reinstalling, coming back. Xbox and Switch 2 finally get Final Fantasy VII Remake integrated on January 22nd. Cloud Strife. And I'm not going to read it. You know what Final Fantasy Integrate is? Remake Integrate is. It's finally happening. Bless.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, it is.
Greg Miller
We're back to that usual, oh, Xbox. Still never had that. Every time we get a trailer, the Xbox logo pops. Like really? You never had that?
Tim Gettys
I would have lost so much money if we did a bet on whether or Not Final Fantasy 7 Integrate was on Xbox, because I would have bet all my money that this came to. Did this not come to Xbox?
Mike
No.
Tim Gettys
I feel like I remember this coming.
Mike
Patiently waiting.
Tim Gettys
Was it just PC time?
Mike
Oh, yeah.
Andy Cortez
Holy God. I, I For a long, long time.
Tim Gettys
I gotta visit Square Enix. You gotta fly over. You got to talk to them more.
Mike
I, I think we're gonna figure this out.
Andy Cortez
I gotta find that clip from me and Mike's marathon where there's a beautiful moment with Aerith and like emotions are high and she's delivering like a really awesome monologue. And I was like, Mike, when is Xbox gonna get one of these?
Greg Miller
And he goes, don't you start.
Andy Cortez
Don't you got all mad at me.
Tim Gettys
Heartbreaking.
Andy Cortez
What a good fucking video game.
Mike
Finally.
Greg Miller
Yeah, this game rocks on PC. Hermit and the Pig will arrive January 22nd. Hermit. I'm sorry, Hermit and Pig. Hermit and Pig is a story rich turn based RPG where you fend off wild assailants, forage mushrooms, survive social anxiety and stumble into a corporate conspiracy with your trusty pig.
Tim Gettys
Hell yeah.
Greg Miller
I really like the art style.
Tim Gettys
The earthbound fan in me like this really speaks to that 100%. Looks really cool.
Andy Cortez
Very, very earthbound, very warioware.
Tim Gettys
No.
Andy Cortez
Yes. Very undertale coated. Yeah. Not art style wise, but just in terms of how the mini games look.
Tim Gettys
And that's the one thing, is that everything speaks, everything about this speaks to me except for the art style.
Mike
I think it's cute.
Tim Gettys
I don't know why. Like there's something about how it looks that doesn't appeal to me as much, but it looks like it's such a fun, quirky game. Like I still want to give it a shot.
Greg Miller
I put up my wish list. I love a good pig.
Andy Cortez
I want to give it a shot just to see what the gameplay loop is and what the story is going to be.
Greg Miller
You know, is it just style, no substance or. Yeah, something going on for sure. Mike, you were too excited. But Nova roma comes to PC Early Access January 22nd. The Glory of Rome is at your fingertips in this city building game where you must appease the gods, enact laws and develop complex supply chains to meet the needs of your citizens.
Andy Cortez
Supply chains. I didn't expect production lines.
Greg Miller
I didn't expect you to bite so hard on this. I see Kevin getting the trailer for you.
Mike
I am riding a high right now off of Anna 117. I need to spend more time with that game because it's just so good. Of course. Patiently awaiting more manor lords in my life. There's a little fun city building call out for you. But yeah this is giving me some vibes. I like this art style they got going on here.
Sponsor Voice
I would.
Mike
I love a good city builder and I'd like to try a little bit more. So yeah, I'm putting this on my list. List high on the list.
Andy Cortez
I love this art style. This does way more for me than what a lot of the games go in for. Like the ultra realism in this genre. Like I. There's something about this that's really really working.
Greg Miller
It's really turning you on I gotta say. Yeah, it looks interesting. I miss you know my SimCity days. Oh but city skylines I just can't get into. I've tried so many times.
Mike
You had a great playthrough of Sim City or something.
Greg Miller
A lot of people remind me of that.
Mike
I loved watching.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Afterwards. Tell me somebody got a lot of trouble for that series and it's not at anybody you'd expect. So ask about that off air.
Andy Cortez
Okay.
Greg Miller
For now we'll move to SEGA Football Club champions coming out 20 or Sega Football Club Championship. Nobody cares. It's coming to PC PlayStation January 25th. I wasn't 22nd. I wasn't going to bring it up. Instead I'm going to tell you Mike. You are going to play blade song on PC January 22nd. Here's your trailer.
Mike
Lay it on me.
Greg Miller
The ultimate sword making game. Forge unique weapons with free form blade shaping and modular hilts. Perfectly balanced to your customers needs. Master the art of smithing and uncover the secrets of Aaron. Keep a last haven of a dying world. Or so they say. Mike. I've never met a more Mike. This is like TC card shop game or whatever the. But it's you're making wild.
Andy Cortez
Oh but you need a shop though for Mike like I. Mike needs to have Loretta walking.
Greg Miller
Are they doing that?
Mike
No.
Andy Cortez
I mean they're but like you know
Greg Miller
there to see the 3D people customer satisfaction.
Mike
We're going to give this a try. This is crazy because I spent a lot of time at the Forge this year.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Mike
Kingdom Come Deliverance too. I was banging, okay. I was banging. I was banging Red hot Steel. And I tried my best to deliver. I will definitely. This is crazy looking. I'm going to try this video.
Greg Miller
This is your. I know.
Mike
This is insane.
Greg Miller
You're going to be making swords out there. Look, look, Mom. No Computer comes to Xbox and switch on January 22nd. Orcs must die by the Blade comes to meta quest January 22nd. The Rumble Fish 2 comes to switch to January 22nd. And then what I pulled out was Escape from Ever after comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch and PC January 23rd. A genre bending RPG inspired by the classic Paper Mario games. When a greedy megacorp from the real world starts taking over fairy tales for their cheap labor, a newly hired storybook hero must climb the corporate ladder, rally together other disgruntled employees and fight back. We don't see this art style enough and it looks pretty dang good.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I mean they're doing such a great job of like doing the Paper Mario thing. I in some ways actually like how this looks even more than Paper Mario. Like the way that the main character is animating and all this stuff. This looks really, really cool.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah. Another one like Andy, we were talking about that other one, right? Of like cool. Is it just style or will it be substance of a cool RPG or whatever. But I like what I saw enough to wish list it and I think you might too.
Tim Gettys
I'm shocked. I'm just hearing about this for the first time.
Greg Miller
That's what I do here every week for you.
Tim Gettys
Well, thank you, Greg. You're the best.
Greg Miller
I read releases.com for you and gather links. Star Moon forest comes to PC January 23rd. Then believe it or not, High Guard comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series PC January 26th.
Mike
Most anticipated game of January right here.
Tim Gettys
The game of the year 2026 race.
Greg Miller
From the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall comes High Guard, a PvP raid shooter where players will ride, fight and raid as wardens. Arcane gunslingers sent to fight for control of a mythical continent.
Tim Gettys
I'm holding out hope for this one. I'm really excited for this.
Mike
Yeah, we all have our different thoughts and opinions and the Internet has been red hot with their thoughts and opinions all week since the game awards. But like, this has got to be probably the most, most anticipated release of January to kick off the new year of like, like, will this game deliver or not? Is this game going to be good or not? A huge come out party. A huge hey, we're announcing to the world we got something happening a month later. No beta to be seen. Right?
Tim Gettys
Like crazy.
Mike
I. I'm. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. I'm hoping for the best.
Andy Cortez
I think it's coming out early enough, though, to where it can come out and either be super hot and awesome and then take a dip and then piss off the fans because of whatever, but then they could win them back and then maybe take another dip, but then possibly win them back after that second dip for the game award, you know, Roller coaster. Yeah. You know, when we get to award season, it's always like, oh, that game's kind of. People are mad at it right now. And it's like, okay, well, the game did really well for a little. For a little while. I. I trust that this will be one of those games that. That is similar to Wildgate where it's
Mike
like, Wild Gate died.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, it's hot for a week and maybe people fall off of it after that, you know, I. I just don't. It's just, man, it's crowded.
Mike
You got to give credit to Wild Gate because they brought something different. It was fun, it was unique. Unfortunately, it just died immediately. Right. And so, like, if this game brings something different and fun, like, I'll give it credit for that. That's what I want to see.
Greg Miller
Right?
Mike
I want to see people taking a chance and trying something different. Unfortunately, it's tough to survive in this market.
Andy Cortez
I mean, I think it is bringing something different. I think it. This whole raid thing where it's, you know, you. These characters gather that sword and the sword opens up that big sort of siege thing that then you take on, I'm assuming, computer NPC characters. I'm not sure who's on the other side of the. Of the end of this little, like, objective that they do.
Tim Gettys
But that's tough because you should know. You should know. We should know these things. That's why this game, while announcing it, you should drop, hey, here's a weekend beta so we can get a hold of what this game is and actually be excited for it. Because right now I'm looking forward to trying this out purely on the basis that they said that these are people that worked on apex and Titanfall 2. And I look back at the.
Greg Miller
That first.
Tim Gettys
I was going to say week, but I would even say the first six months of Apex Legends as, like, one of my favorite moments in. In gaming. It hit me similarly to the first, like, Year of Overwatch, where it's like, damn, this Multiplayer game has a choke hold on me. Me and my friends want to play this. We want to get obsessed with it and all that stuff. We're seeing a lot of things here that look interesting, but they've not done a great job of defining what any of it really is. What the gameplay loop is, which I think is a real. Is a big mistake. Take this close to the game. I'm also just fascinated with the title of the game. Just being another word for Overwatch.
Andy Cortez
Oh, hi.
Greg Miller
Hi. Over watch guard.
Andy Cortez
Wow.
Tim Gettys
Like how do we get there?
Greg Miller
Has anybody confirmed that? I've seen that since like it launched, but did have they? Has Vince Zampella winked at the camera? Has anybody done that?
Tim Gettys
Somebody has to interview somebody.
Greg Miller
Mr. Hawks apparently, and I trust Mr. Hawks interviewed somebody at TGA. He says in the super chat chat with one of the devs after TGA and they didn't know it would be the last thing shown. Jeff loved the game so much he made the call. Maybe you were just chatting with somebody low on the toe.
Tim Gettys
Jeff killed this video game.
Greg Miller
I love this game so much. I'll kill it.
Tim Gettys
I'm gonna kill it.
Greg Miller
On January 27, the Spirit Lift comes to PC. A retro horror deck builder roguelite set in a haunted hotel in the 1990s. Choose your teens, explore and fight. If you die, rewind the night. I not a big deck builder person, but I do love a good horror movie and I do love a good 90s teen movie. But I watched this and I was like, no, not for me.
Tim Gettys
I'm starting to get roguelite deck builder fatigue.
Andy Cortez
I do not like the art style at all.
Greg Miller
That's my. One of my. I'm thinking my main turn off to it.
Tim Gettys
That's interesting because the art style is actually the thing that's making me.
Andy Cortez
It's doing just too many different things for me. The character card art looks like it was made by a different artist than everything else was.
Tim Gettys
Yeah,
Greg Miller
rightfully. Berry Arms comes out on Xbox and PC January 27th. Core Keeper makes its way to Switch 2 on January 28th. The Seven Deadly Sins Origin comes to PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. January 28th. Car Service Together comes to PC Early Access. January 28th.
Mike
Now there's the game.
Greg Miller
You want to talk about that one.
Mike
Now there's the game that could have some juice here.
Greg Miller
This is another management simmy one you can drag a trailer out. Car Service Together is a one to four co op and single player simulation game where you and where you and or with your friends start from scratch and build your Way up. Work together to successfully run your own service center. Team up, manage your business and create the ultimate car service.
Mike
Yep, we'll be playing that. We'll be playing that. Me and Nick. Can't wait.
Greg Miller
Get Joey in there. She loves that shit, you know that. Here's that actual cut of you in the body shop with all your cars. Car service together.
Tim Gettys
Brings me back to gta. Working on your car.
Mike
Yes.
Andy Cortez
And these games, just like these similars, just never have any interest in having shadows anywhere.
Greg Miller
Like it's always, just
Andy Cortez
always the flattest thing you've ever seen in your life.
Tim Gettys
Why do all these games look off to me? Dude? Yeah, they don't have shadows.
Andy Cortez
Just put a light source for sake man, please.
Greg Miller
January 28th is steel century Groove. Steel Century Groove is a rhythm RPG where you pilot mech in dance battles. Andy.
Tim Gettys
Oh.
Greg Miller
Challenge yourself against the deep Music combat.
Tim Gettys
Sorry?
Greg Miller
Challenge yourself against the deep music combat system. Build a team of colossal dancers, make friends and take on rivals as you groove from your cozy hometown to the big city championship.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, no, thank you. I mean, all right.
Tim Gettys
Those words spoke to me so deeply. And then we saw the gameplay.
Andy Cortez
Well, I just heard Mecha and I got excited. But yeah, everything.
Tim Gettys
I mean I heard Mecha in dance battle and that speaks to me.
Mike
Me.
Greg Miller
Fair enough. Karen comes to PlayStation 5 and PC January 29th. That's Karen. Not like the Mad Woman, but like, you know, climbing. Reach a summit. Never climbed before. In the survival climber from the creators of Fury and Haven. Climb anywhere and plan your route carefully managing pittance. Pytons. Yeah, Pytons. And resources, Andy. I'm doing the hand Pythons. And survive. And resources to survive unforgiving Mount Kami. Discover what Ava is willing to sacrifice to achieve the ascent of a lifetime.
Tim Gettys
I don't think I realized that. This is from the developers of Fury. I loved Fury.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
What a weirdon.
Greg Miller
Thank you.
Andy Cortez
Piton Eaton Ptan
Tim Gettys
Eton.
Greg Miller
Not for me. You know, I don't know, I feel like there was a glut of climbing games all of a sudden. You know what I mean? But usually they're funny. This one seems more like it's trying to whatever we're talking about here, discover what Ava is willing to sacrifice to achieve. Like they're trying to do the maybe it's going to have a story and it's going to get me journey with climbing. But like, I don't, I don't. I'm not drawn to do that. So thank you very much. Don't stop. Girly pop comes to PC January 29th spread the love don't stop girly pop is a Y2K arena movement shooter where standing still is not an option. Just don't stop moving.
Tim Gettys
Oh hell yeah.
Greg Miller
So yeah, arena shooter, but it is all hearts and pinks and cuties.
Mike
What was your arena shooter this year? Metal Eater Eden.
Andy Cortez
I never got back to it. I didn't love it. I did not love Metal Eden which was a bummer because that's the devs of Ruiner. It looked, it had such a good look to it, but I just never loved the way that it played.
Mike
Would you try something like this?
Andy Cortez
I think this is a little too noisy and like this is definitely one with how fast the movement will be where my eyes will be really bothering me and tearing up after about an
Tim Gettys
hour I would need to hear the sound. Like I. I feel like for a game that's called Don't Stop Girly Pop Pop, looking at these visuals, yeah, it looks chaotic but I would imagine that you have music, right? Like I want to hear Pink Panthers. Like I want to hear fast paced.
Greg Miller
Tower is butted to its core.
Tim Gettys
Never mind D and D. Never mind.
Greg Miller
Moving on. I hate this place. PlayStation 5, Xbox Switch and PC January 29th a craft based isometric survival horror game with twisted monsters and a warped reality. Scavenge and build to survive terrifying nights and days using stealth and noise to fight enemies that stalk by sound. All styled in a bold comic art and 80s horror vibe. I'm the horror guy, but no, I'm good. Then we get through a bunch here. Dusk index going comes to Xbox PlayStation January 29 the Perfect Pencil comes to Switch in PC January 29 Chrono Arc Deluxe Edition Switch January 29 Card and Seal Switch 2 January 29 City Tales Medieval Era PC January 29 Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack comes to PC January 29. And then Code Vein 2 comes to PC. PlayStation 5 Xbox Series January 30 An Epic Adventure awaits where you and your chosen partners explore a vast world, face fierce battles against powerful enemies and uncover the epic story that transcends time.
Andy Cortez
I'm stoked for Code Vein too. Yeah, I'm ready to have another souls like that kind of is like just mildly disappointing. Like you know, first Berserker Kazan early in the year. I need one of those every like first quarter of the year. One that I'm gonna kind of be like, oh man, it's, you know, it's close to being awesome.
Tim Gettys
See, I wish I was right there with you. But I think we've hit the point with having so many good souls like action games that I don't have space for it anymore. You know what I mean? Because like what you. I remember that next month we're gonna get get Neo3. Later in the year we're going to get Phantom Blade zero. I got two to three souls likes in me a year and the space is filled.
Greg Miller
Damn. January 30th sees the 9th Charnel come to PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC. A first person psychological horror game. The 9th Charnel is filled with a rich and frightening atmosphere. While exploring the many mysteries of this world, you must survive. Whether you do it through stealth or by using weapons.
Andy Cortez
That can't be how it's pronounced. Is it it? I just don't like that word. What is it?
Greg Miller
Charnel? Well, it's like channel, but they dropped an R in it, so.
Andy Cortez
Charnel refers to something related to death. Especially a place where bones or dead bodies are stored.
Greg Miller
No thanks.
Andy Cortez
Huh?
Greg Miller
No, not for me. Mike, you gonna play?
Mike
No.
Greg Miller
Let's talk about then. Vampires. Bloodlord Rising on PC. January 30th. You are a vampire. Build a castle, manage your clan and expand your hold over Sangavia.
Andy Cortez
Oh, it's related to the word carnal. Like carnal sin, can I say?
Greg Miller
Okay, I think a cardinal is like sex stuff, you know?
Andy Cortez
Me too.
Greg Miller
Yeah, that's hot. Develop your character. Experience a dramatic story in an open world and rule the land either alone or with your friends. In co op mode. Mike, you're always talking about wanting to be a vampire.
Mike
I am looking for eternal life to spend with Andy. That's my goal. I haven't found a good vampire game, so if you have one suggested to me. This doesn't look bad though.
Andy Cortez
It doesn't look great.
Greg Miller
Yeah, no, no, it's definitely in that. Weird.
Mike
It's got. Well, it's got crafting here.
Greg Miller
I mean. Yeah, you're building. Yeah, that was one of the first. They said it looks build a castle.
Andy Cortez
It looks like an older MMO that they brought back.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mike
Like, you know how the guy from Grandma's Boy wants to bring back the Grandma's Boy video game?
Andy Cortez
Oh, I didn't know that.
Mike
Real thing.
Andy Cortez
Oh, that's funny. He was an avatar. Do you know that?
Greg Miller
No.
Mike
Yeah, the Grandma's Boy guy. Yeah. Nice.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, he's the scientist guy in Avatar.
Mike
That's cool.
Greg Miller
Folklore Hunter comes to PC January 30th. You're a world renowned hunter of supernatural beasts. Take on contracts and track Down. Urban legends from all over the world. Gather resources, set traps, prepare your equipment and use your hunter instincts.
Tim Gettys
Me and Mike are learning carnal.
Mike
Can I get it in a sentence, please?
Greg Miller
They were carnal desire.
Tim Gettys
They had. Yeah, they had carnal love, meaning marked bisexuality according to Merriam Webster's dictionary. Okay, okay, okay.
Greg Miller
And that's the end of the official date dates. But 2xko supposed to come out in January. Yeah, that's what I was seeing on the Internet. Yes. Okay. When do you think that's dropping? Is that dropping?
Tim Gettys
I'm surprised that didn't have a date. Yes, that is dropping because they just announced it, not. Not that long ago as a big announcement. The game's already out on PC in early access, and so it should be it. Like, I wouldn't be it. I'll be shocked. More shocked if it delayed. Okay, looking forward to that. I believe this will be its 1.0 release. And I mean, Mike was talking about High Guard being like most anticipated right of the month, but I think to XKL it sol releases up there as well.
Mike
Yeah, I mean, I think that's like the legit one. High Guard is like the. Will this fail or will it not fail? Right there.
Greg Miller
All eyes on it.
Mike
Yeah, all eyes on, like, what is going to happen with this game. 2xko is like most anticipated. Like, this game is actually good and I'm very excited for it to finally release on console. Like having a large, large player base. I'm all in on this.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
And on top of that, Prince of Persia, the Sands of Time remake, Dying Over Here is supposed to come out in January as well. Not supposed to, I should say, rumored to come out in January. Remember, we all were predicting game awards. Ubisoft would say that alongside the Assassin's Creed remake stuff, but no official confirmation. But someone to keep your eyes peeled on that one. Because I'm excited for Prince of Persia remake, whatever the hell that'll end up being.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
And that, ladies gentlemen, and enbies is every game coming out in January 2026, unless somebody else added a game. But that's what Releases says and what Game Informer says. So now you yell at Releases. You yell at Alex Van Aken. I won't hear about it. Oh, we have a few super chats to get involved here. Zeke Speaks says nothing wrong with folks who play and enjoy Gotcha. However, I do think Gotcha games are morally corrupt, goonified gambling, and should be regular.
Mike
Better watch out when I start streaming.
Greg Miller
I am. Yes, we all should do that. Goony Super Nolan man says I'm late. Did I miss kind of funny's top 100 games announcement?
Mike
You didn't carnal.
Tim Gettys
You did give carnal on stream with these gotcha games.
Greg Miller
Kaiju. Corey super chats with a membership and says do we know anything about Ubisoft's future plans? Anything in 2026?
Tim Gettys
I don't.
Greg Miller
I can't talk to the entire year of 2026 but I expect that Assassin's Creed remake this Prince of Persian buy.
Tim Gettys
They just bought the. Oh, oh, that Moba. Yeah, yeah. Amazon.
Mike
Yeah. From Amazon is right.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah.
Mike
Giants of something. Yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
Giant March of the Giants.
Mike
March of the Giant March of the Giants. Yeah, that's.
Greg Miller
Well, that's March of Giants.
Tim Gettys
Did they not announce Black Flag remake?
Greg Miller
No, that was the rumor and they
Tim Gettys
didn't do that at Game Awards.
Greg Miller
No, that's what we all thought. Easy money didn't happen.
Andy Cortez
Man. You got me so excited for the possibility of Division 3 announced the game Awards. God dang it.
Tim Gettys
I got so excited.
Greg Miller
