F
Yeah, I'm trying to drink water instead of just sucking. Oh, I didn't mean to bring this on set. Instead of sucking on this. This nipple of an oala. You know what I mean too, right? So it's just weird.
C
It's just like, yeah, y. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Look at that, everybody.
F
I don't like that. So I'm doing The whole careful.
C
ADC's engaged. Yeah, I get rid of careful, everybody. This is the kind of funny games cast where each and every weekday we talk to you about the biggest topics in gaming, whether they be reviews, previews, or just topics we need to talk about. If you are watching live, be part of the show YouTube.com kind of funny games you can super chat as we go. What I need from you, of course, is the March hype index. What are the games you are stoked for coming out next month, which is mere days away, if you can believe it, because of course, this is our rundown of every game coming out in March. We couldn't do it without our producers over on patreon.com kindafunny so thank you, Carl Jacobs. So, Mega Buster Delaney, the psalm twining. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be topic of the show. Tots Tauts. Tuts.
F
Tauts. Tauts.
G
Tauts.
B
Tuts.
C
As I said, it is our monthly tradition here at kinda funny to go to the one, the only releases.com, a website we adore and you should too, and run through every video game coming out in the next 30 days. That's right. We're diving into the March game releases and I'm excited to know if you think this is a hype month or not. Roger, is this a hype month or not?
F
I would say it's a hype month.
C
Okay. We got a few, Mike.
B
World of Warcraft, Crimson Desert. Hell yeah.
C
Hype.
D
Andy, I want to see marathon Crimson Desert.
C
Okay, bless.
E
Yeah, go to yote. Crimson Desert.
C
That's what I like to hear. We're all about this.
D
Oh, wow.
C
We're all about this. Yeah. We'll get to we. Of course, if you've never seen it, go through it game by game. If we want to, we stop and talk about it. If we don't, don't get mad at us. We will start with March 2nd. There are two games coming out. Metal Hunter on PC and World of Warcraft Midnight on PC. Do you give a. Are you going to go back?
B
Yeah, my subscription is ready to rock and roll. I will never go back. Never left. You have to commit to this.
D
It was a lot harder to cancel on rocket money.
B
Exactly. That was a conversation with Roger when we did the rocket money.
C
Yeah.
F
He was like, this is the one I need.
D
You cannot cancel that one. You can't do that.
C
Return to the Elven kingdom of Quality. Invasion of Azeroths begin. And the void storm threatens to cover the world in darkness. The battle between the light and the void spans across four zones as you discover new allies and confront ancient enemies. As the void invasion descends upon the land, an array of new features add more depth and improvements to the evolving world.
B
Yeah, this is the continuation of the World Soul saga that they've kind of wrote out of. Like, hey, here's the story. We want to break it into some larger expansion parts. And World of Warcraft will always be my comfort game. It's always the game that I dream of giving all of my life to and never looking at any other video game besides it.
D
Right.
B
And I am the most casual World of Warcraft fan. I jump in during the expansion weeks. I'll jump in every now and then. It's kind of like Minecraft. It calls to you once a year. You give it a couple days, give it a week. If you play it, then you give up and you go, okay, that was good enough. I'll come back whenever. But it will always be one that I hold near and dear to my heart. It is also a fantasy critic drafty of mine, so I am looking for, like larger reviews on this one. Hoping for 85 and above. I think the last one was like 83. And so I'm feeling good about this one. So, yeah, this for me is call the. Call the boys up. Let's get on. Let's start playing.
D
Are you going to call me?
B
Yeah, but I will Call you and say, we're not playing hardcore because we lost you the first time we did hardcore.
D
That a lot. Yeah.
C
You're like, I'm done with Per death. Fair enough. We move then to March 3, where a slew of video games release. Starting off with the one, the only Scott Pilgrim EX, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and more. Anyone here hyped for another side scroll and Beat em Up from Tribute Games?
D
This one kind of crept up on me. I kind of forgot that it was this soon.
C
Right.
D
I mean, I always loved the look of it. And obviously you got the Gooch helping out with the music as well. On a Monicuchi returning. I am not the biggest fan of Beat Em Ups. I kind of will dabble here and there, but I think it's just. I think it's too pretty looking and too cute to not give it a shot.
C
Scott Pilgrim Ex is in an action adventure game where players can fight a Scott Pilgrim or Ramona Flowers and more as they battle through the fractured time and space of Toronto. The combat gameplay is driven by instinct, instinct and improvisation. A hectic ballet of fists and flair that roars strategy, spontaneity, and a good bit of brawling chaos. You know, I was shocked to discover that this was tribute as well. I saw it, I was like, oh, man. Coming off Cosmic Invasion, Ben and I had such fun with that. I'm not the biggest Scott Pilgrim guy, but the game looks cute. We could go do that. And then it was like, oh, man, this is another tribute game. So that puts it up on the list of like, yeah, I need to try this with Ben. I need to jump into this and then calling it action adventure rather than beat him up. I think there's more to it than that. Yeah, an interesting one for sure.
D
Roger.
F
No, I was just gonna. I was just gonna. I was just. I think I'm at the point now in my life where I can't be lying to myself anymore. Like, I tried so many of these Beat em Up games. Like, this is the one this way. I've even played Cosmic Invasion. I'm like, this should be the one for me. I'm halfway through. I'm like, I can't.
E
But are you playing them by yourself?
F
No, I'm even playing with Lianza and everything. I'm just like, I'm not.
E
Because I feel like that's the problem with me is that Beat Em Ups come out and I start playing them and I'm like, something's not like not clicking here. And I feel like it's I view Beat Em Ups as more of a social experience. When I think about the times where I've enjoyed Beat Em up, it's always playing locally with somebody else.
B
T Arcade Cabinet gather around the X1 and we've been treated to some really good Beat Em Ups. And Roger, I was similar to you. I didn't know if Beat Em Ups were for me. I. I really felt like, hey, I'm good on this. Like no way. And then Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, of course, Marvel Cosmic Invasion. But there's one that's on the tip of my tongue that. No, it's the maybe Something Wolves. Something Fury.
D
It's like Fatal, Fatal Fury.
E
City of the Wolves.
B
No, no, that's the fighting game. That's the problem. It's like I'm Streets of Rage.
D
Streets of Rage.
B
Streets of Rage 4. That was the one where I was like, you know what? I'm into this killer music, ton of fun with the boys. Yeah, I'm into this.
D
The I I will say that as much as I look at every tribute game and just like I'm just slack shot at the art style. Just love how much sauce they have. Visually, the way the characters look, the pixel work is just so phenomenal. I just like, hey, let's do what if. Let's just do a top down game for the next game. Let's do like a Zelda like Hyper Light Drifter, like Mina the Hollower. Top down, isometric, whatever it is. Like I want a different genre from them because I just love their art style so much. But it's just the Beat Em ups are never the thing that get me in.
E
You want their Elliot?
D
Yes, whatever.
E
The hat.
D
The mystery of the hat.
H
I, I'm, I'm excited for this just because I remember when they re released the, the first Scott Pilgrim like side scroller Beat Em up, it didn't hit as much as I remember originally and so I'm excited for like another take, another follow up with more like modern design stuff. Learning from Beat Em Ups from the last decade or so and then especially also coming off of the, the Netflix show, whenever that came out like a couple of years ago that was like didn't properly sell itself as like a Scott Pilgrim sequel. And so I wonder how they play around with that.
C
Yeah. With this one being the multiple universe or one of the shattered dimensions they're talking about, it seems like they're doing something different interesting with it. So more power to. I have Legacy of Kane Defiance Remastered. Roger, is this you? Are you. You're A Legacy of Kane guy.
F
Yeah, I grew up with it. My Aunt Randy, she would always show me Legacy of Kane and Soul Reaver. And I remember peeing my pants because he was so scary. But I loved it so much. I went back and I played the first remasters that they did a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. I never finished it, but I was like into it. I was like, oh, shit. Like, it's crazy to see Amy Henning's vision and what she was able to do on the PS1 and now brought to life. It's also one of those cool remasters that they're able to switch between the art styles, like on the fly, which I think all remasters should be able to do. Like, this is awesome. So, yeah, I'm definitely going to try this out and I'm going to have that nostalgic afternoon. I don't think I'm gonna actually finish it, but it's really cool and I'm happy that they're doing this.
C
It's coming to switch. It's coming to everything. Not even worth running through. But yeah. Return to Nosgoth is Kane and Raziel clash between fate and free will. Upgraded HD visuals, refined controls and a modern camera from there on the list here we got the Legend of Komori that's coming to PC early access and then Esoteric Ebb.
D
Hearing a lot about this one.
C
This is the one I highlighted because I knew we'd be talking about it.
D
Got him.
C
Got them coming to PC March 3rd. We're still on March 3rd, by the way. Esoteric Ebb is an isometric disco like TTRPG turned crpg set in a bizarre post arcane punk fantasy setting. You are the Cleric, an expert in esoteric event events and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, esoteric EB features deep and branching dialogues with a staggering amount of choices. This is one that looks fucking rad disco. Like, yeah, we're doing it, we're doing it. Yeah, that's what we're doing.
E
That's just a crpg.
C
Yeah, well, but it's like different because it's cooler, you know.
F
Yeah.
D
And like all of the text is
H
like shows up on like one side of the screen, you know.
D
Ah, yeah, that's one of the differentiator.
C
That's what makes it disco. Anybody gonna jump in and try this stream of it?
D
I want to give it a shot. I. It does seem like I've been hearing a lot of people talk about it, but I don't Really? I think it's available on Steam Next Fest demo right now. Okay, so maybe that's where I give it a shot and decide whether I want to actually hop in. But might still be busy with the Witcher. We'll see.
C
Fair enough.
D
I mean, I definitely will be.
C
Then we got a bunch of games that I didn't jump off the page. Would stop me if they did for you. All these are PC. PC early access for Hume Humica. Then it's Iracing Arcade. Then another early access one. Drain sim external. Afternoon. I'm sorry, Eternal Afternoon. Lux Man, Moonlit Market. Naughty gnomes. I've seen a little bit more about it. Got a G in front of it.
F
It's like a naughty bear.
B
That one I believe is having a really good Steam Next Fest demo showing with a lot of people. Kind of the friend slop genre.
C
Yeah.
B
That people are loving.
C
If we could get the trailer up, gather your friends, improve who's the best gnome. So throw, hit, dash, taunt, explode. Anything is valid. To win and crown yourself the undisputed champion, try to combine upgrades to maximize your build potential. Let chaos reign. 30 minute matches are fast, wild, but above all very fun. Generating both laughter and violence in equal measure. Yeah, this is one that when I went through last night, I was like, I'm not going to leave this one. And then this morning I saw people talking about it. Yeah, I guess off Next Fest how good it is.
D
I also want to shout out that we just got raided by the homies at Giant Bomb. And everybody make sure you stick around because there's a merch giveaway happening in the twitch. And if you're in the YouTube chat and you want a chance to win, you have to go to the Twitch chat to try to win. Sorry, YouTube. That's just the way it works.
F
Sorry.
C
It's fine. YouTube, you'll understand.
B
I do want to rewind. I see that we kind of glossed over a new sim. Drain sim. Are we not talking about this, like the ultimate drainage experience? Get called to flooded areas and drain out that. That zone. Okay.
D
Those are some great TikTok videos though. I love those videos when people are just like pulling the grass and the shit out of.
E
Right.
B
The drink falls to a ranch, have to pull up, drain that. That grassy area. I mean, dude, you get.
D
Okay.
F
It's not like bathrooms.
E
No, no, no.
F
This is like, hey, you're going to bathroom pulling out a wad of hair.
B
This is like a flood just happened. Yeah, okay. Save the city.
F
That's fine. Oh, I don't like that.
C
They know what they're doing.
B
Okay, that was.
D
I mean that. Yeah.
F
This is what you recommended, Mike.
D
That is how I react though, Mike. Whenever I see the dude pulling out all the leaves from that, from the little flooding and then you just hear like, like a sound and it's just like, ah. Like. And you see all the water kind of clear out.
B
People. People are into this. Yeah, people.
C
Your eye on everybody.
B
I'm telling you, that game about digging, a simple game about digging a hole popped off and was one of the best games of last year. Now they got new ones of like you could do with friends. Put me in the drain. I'm in it.
F
I'm going to drain with friends.
C
Your final March 3rd game is apoea no apo up papia papia. Sugar coated Tail. Then we move to March 4th. Homura Heim is coming to PC. And then Ninja Gaiden 4. The Two Masters comes to PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5. I know we are all big Ninja Gaiden fans, so I wanted to call out this dlc.
F
I mean it's all for blessing.
E
I did like Ninja Garden 4.
C
The Two Masters adds three all new chapters in Ninja Gaiden 4's campaign. Players can also access two new weapons. Are you excited you're going to go back for this?
E
I got to be real with myself.
F
I got to stop lying.
D
I thought everybody loved it.
B
I thought it was the best action game ever.
C
Everybody loved it. Cultural reference, best games.
E
It's a busy week.
B
One.
D
One thing I do want to call out is Homura he or Heim? I'm not sure. It's probably he. I put it into assets. It's based on the clips that I saw. Very kind of bullet, like bullet hell, like returnal style. Dodging of boss fights. A very, very anime sort of focus with the art style. But the, the, the, the. The way the combat looked in some spots looks super sick. And I kind of am into the way the combat looks whenever there are boss fights and things like that.
E
Is it like one of them automata likes?
D
I. I don't know. I don't know. There's just a lot of like hacking and slashing. And then when all of the Bullet Hell stuff is coming, you're having like dodge, you know, from the bright.
B
I love this.
D
This is totally a little bit of.
E
Do you ever play Fury?
D
Oh, way back in the day, I
E
used to love Fury. Homura Hime.
D
Yeah.
E
Okay. Okay.
D
So this looks pretty rad. This is one that I saw kind of in our Littered Amongst our dozens and dozens of emails we get every day from press stuff.
E
Yeah. And like, the reason why Ninja Gaiden 4, even though I'd like to play it because I did like that game. March 5th is looking kind of crazy.
C
We'll get there. Pack to close out March 4th. Pax, autocratica and then pizza slice. Come to PC as well, but run
B
your own pizza restaurant.
C
Oh, my God. Shut up, Mike. We're going to be here, dude.
B
We're gonna have best sim of the month is what we're going to have to vote on. What if you're like best sim of the month?
D
We got to turn this restaurant around. Go Detroit style. Now you.
B
Can you imagine that more than just simulator Pizza Slice is a true Italian adventure. Take on the role of Tonio. Manage your family pizzeria, big authentic Italian pizzas and fight the competition and grow your business. See if you can win the best pizzeria in town.
D
And you guessed it, no shadows to be seen anywhere. You think this game will have cast shadows?
B
We don't need shadows here for pizza making.
C
3-5-marathon actually comes out Marathon. Not marathon. Marathon comes out Xbox, PC and PlayStation 5. Who wants to kick off the hype level here for marathon?
B
I can't believe it's. I can't believe we're here. I saw that March 5th date. I'm so focused on server slam right now that I didn't even think we're turning this on a week from now. I'm blown away. I'm very excited. I really want to see what Bungie and the team did to kind of, you know, reignite the flame, work on what the feedback was and take it all into account and make a really good extraction shooter. We know it's got the vibes. It's got the gunplay that I liked. I liked the collision. There's something more, though, I think, to get the general audience on with mission structure. Of course, with more PvE slowing it down, there was just too much engagement during that first beta that I think players, when they look at arc raiders, we're like, oh, I really enjoyed, like, the downtime or I enjoyed me taking on the arc and not having to worry about Mike, Andy, and Blessing colliding with us almost every minute. Right. So how did they take that feedback and how do they rework this? It's going to be an exciting week, and it's a release. It's crazy.
C
Anybody else want to talk about it?
D
Yeah, I mean, I'm right there with Mike. I want to. I want to See exactly how long it could get me on there for. Because the arc raiders for a genre that I'm never super into as much as I would like to be. Yeah, arc raiders had me for a decent couple of weeks. I think this will have me for about. Oh, I think it'll have me for less than a couple of weeks only because of how stacked this sort of, you know, day and kind of week are. But I. I have a really good feeling that they like kind of really righted the ship and have turned things around and you know, seeing it pop up. I saw Paul Tassi posting that it was, you know, number five on best sellers on steam trending and stuff and. And that's awesome for a $40 video game. Whenever we think about how it's for a lot of consumers, it's usually like free to play or nothing. It's awesome to see. You know, hopefully this could be a big rebound moment for them. And with arc raiders proving me wrong and a lot of other people wrong how I just assumed that extraction shooters would not vibe at all with the more casual markets. Was totally proven wrong there. Everybody love arc raiders. I think that like, oh, they opened that, you know, they were sort of the gateway drug. And hopefully people can hop in and hit to here because I just want to see this game thrive. And this game looks so sick art style wise. I want to be.
E
It looks better every single time it appears. Yeah, like, like somehow that trailer looks better than the last trailer.
D
They did a lot of massive overhauling to the visuals and environments and lighting and things like that. But it's still. Yeah, I just love everything it's doing. Their marketing team is just so fucking crazy.
C
From there we roll into. This is still March 5th. We will be here quite a while everybody. Planet of Lana two Children of the Leaf. A game we were interested in. So we tried to do a re review of the first one and it just fell apart. And all the giant headlines we had. The saga continues. Their home saved. A deeper journey begins. Planet of honor 2 children of leaf is an ambitious cinematic puzzle adventure that doubles the size and scope of the original. Mike, you always pop off when we talk.
B
Special one. To me this was me stepping out of my comfort zone and also like kind of following my interest in like enjoyment of games like inside. And so this is that side scrolling one. There was no I believe bear. I don't think there's any talking in this. There's no dialogue. It's just you and the cat, you know, little goo monster and you're on this, like, really heartfelt, touching journey. And, like, maybe there's some aliens involved and you're just trying to live. I'm excited to see what they do on too. I think this is one of those games. Greg, you always put it best of, like, this team deserves a sequel. This team nailed the first one, and I'm excited to see what they do with the sequel.
D
Every time I want to boot it up late at night on that Steam deck, there's just always, like, a new demo out.
C
Yeah.
D
Or something else that I want to try. And it. It definitely, like, I lost the momentum on either remembering that I wanted to play part one just because of how, you know, insane these game releases have been. But it's one that I definitely want to get into because I just love the art style of the visuals of it.
E
Same.
D
Yeah.
H
And seeing, like, what they're building on top of the first one has me very excited because, like, beating the first one, you know, it felt like a really nice, lovely, touching, contained story. And so I'm interested just, like, where they go from here after, you know, you know, you're this kid who saves her village from being abducted by seemingly, like, aliens. Right. And so I'm excited to see more of the world as we see in this. This trailer here.
E
Do you think I could play this one without playing the first one?
B
I think the first was only like four to five hours.
C
Yeah. The first one. Did you ask how long it was? Do you think
B
you got to play the first one?
D
Yeah. Okay.
H
With these two characters, like, on the title screen, the. The kid and the. The little cat, like, creature, like.
C
Yeah.
H
The entire first game is about their relationship. And I think. I imagine a sequel is going to go even more into that Bear.
D
Can you bring up the other link that I posted in Assets? Very important that we don't get confused.
C
Planet of Lana two Children of the Leaf.
D
Yeah. I put in a link into Assets. Don't get it confused with any other games that may be out because there's a. As I was looking through demos, there's this game called Planet of Lava. Save the planet. And it is not Planet of Lana to, you know, Children of the Leaf or whatever. So don't get it confused.
C
Yeah, this looks like.
D
Yeah, lighting looks great.
E
Why are they on a planet of lava? I feel like I just wouldn't go there.
C
I mean, in a lot of ways. Aren't we on a planet?
F
Yes.
C
Aren't we on a planet?
E
Yeah. But, like, there's way more.
D
You think this is a vacation choice
E
Is that a giant cocktail?
D
I simply would not visit.
C
We have a super chat from Zaxian Galaxian who says inject slay the Spire 2 directly in my veins. Well, good news. March 5th sees Slay the Spire 2 come to PC Early Access. After a millennium of anticipation, civilization eagerly awaits the reopening of the Spire's doors. Embarked on a return Embark on a return journey to the Spire, confronting both allies and adversaries in the sequel to the definitive roguelike deck builder. Bless.
E
It's huge.
C
Are you. You're, you know, correct me if wrong, you haven't done Slay, but you've all. You've.
D
We're all in the same boat with this one.
E
Well, I play. I. I've now played quite a bit more Slay the Spot because I got it on mobile. That was like the big change. Oh yeah, I like on. It was funny enough on the way to pax, I was on the plane and there was a girl sitting beside me playing it on her phone and I was like I should just do that. That's the only way I'm really going to play Slay this Fire if I really want myself to check this thing out and Slay the Spire. A brilliant game. So brilliant where it's one of those ones where as soon as I started playing it, I started seeing all the other games that take so much influence like 99 of the. The card based roguelikes that you play have Slay the Spire DNA in them. You know, it's that kind of Fire likes Spire likes. Yeah, exactly. That kind of influence coming out of this and so it's really cool to see them get toward the second one. I don't know if I'm going to jump in for the early access.
F
Okay.
E
I kind of want to wait for the final. What the vibe is and yeah, show up for the final thing because it might come out in mobile at that point. Really exciting though.
C
Andy, are you going to jump into this?
D
Yeah, for sure. This is one that I hopped into Slay the Spire one finally this year and I didn't completely vibe with it. It was just like a place and a time thing. And also I think that because they were the kind of the. The blueprint for a lot of these other roguelites that a lot of roguelites kind of see what they do and then kind of expand upon that formula and maybe I preferred like the more expanded upon formulas or I don't know but maybe it was just a combination of that in the art style and just kind of where I was at with, with gaming. But this is one that it's like, yes, you have to check it out much like you would check out Mugenics, just because of how Edmond Edmund McMillan. Right. And just like, you know, the, the sort of catalog and, you know, it's a big deal. This one.
E
If you're somebody who loved Monster Train 2 from last year, like, this is. I think I must play, right. Monster Train 2, as you play, Mike's looking at me now.
B
I'm giving you the look.
E
Like, the only difference really is Monster Train 2 is more of a tower defense situation, whereas this is you're going through and like taking down all these enemies and. And growing your catalog of cards and all this stuff.
H
Right.
E
But a lot of similar DNA there as well. And so if you like that game from last year, you're going to want. Want to hop into this one.
B
Okay.
F
I'm rooting for this team. They switched over, I think, from Unity to Godot, the big deal for them. So, yeah, hell yeah. And I'm happy that it's finally out there. I'm going to try it out for
C
sure after that one on your March 5th list that has so many games, Pokemon Pocopi, which to, of course, Pokemon Pocopi is a life simulation game where players can create their own Pokemon paradise. The game features Ditto as its protagonist, who has transformed to look like a human. As Ditto, players can explore and learn moves from the Pokemon they befriend, expanding their capabilities and helping grow their town. Blessing you've played this one.
E
Yes.
C
And when you came back, you said, greg, this could be your game of the year legitimately, which got me so fucking jazzed. Yeah.
E
Really excited to see how Pokemon fans take to this one. I think it's one that's going to be special. In fact, I'm somebody who's not into the Animal Crossing style, Dragon Quest Builder style. Yeah, Minecrafty kind of game. I want to play this one. You know, I think there's something about the energy that Pokemon brings to this kind of game that is adding a level of charm and a level of. When you're playing as the Ditto, which is transformed into a human and you're meeting these different Pokemon and adopting their abilities, something about that just works and something about that is again, really charming. When you see the Ditto grow the vine arms because it's copying Bulbasaur or spit out water because a lot of
C
body horror, a lot of terrifying shit,
E
a lot of weird shit, and also
D
like just screams when it does it.
E
But also, like, the weird thing of what's going on in this world. Is this a post apocalypse? Like, I. There's a weird kind of, like, energy here from what the story is trying to tell from the Pokemon side of things. I'm just very interested in.
C
Can't wait. I'm not alone over here. Scorpion Brew Super Chat says I am going to buy Pokemon Pocopia. I just got a Switch to and beat Pokemon Za. Now I'm interested in more. Greg, I finished Super Nintendo by Kaz McDonald. Fantastic book. Thank you for having her on the show. No problem. It is a great read. I'm enjoying it still.
D
Can I. Can I listen to that? Can I read that book in my ears?
C
You sure can. She NARRATES it. It's great. Yeah, yeah. Pokemon Poke. Opium, man. I can't fucking wait for, like, you know, is I've been back on this Animal Crossing train with the Switch 2 update, but obviously combining my number one Pokemon fandom with that kind of thing. And I did love Dragon Quest Builders on my Vita. I did really enjoy Minecraft for quite a long time to see what this is. I'm stoked for it.
E
But did you ever play Viva Pinata?
C
I never did, no.
E
Because people were throwing that out there as well during the preview cycle.
D
That interesting.
E
Has some of the similar things going on.
F
I watched Aviva Pinata a lot, the TV show, and then they had the Gate because it's based off a TV show.
C
I did not.
E
Did you guys know that?
B
Yeah.
F
Yeah, I never knew that. Yeah. And then I played the game. I was like, this is not the show that I love Viva Pinata. I'm very excited for Pickopia. I, a huge Minecraft person, loved Animal Crossing for, you know, the small amount of time that I played, comparatively to my fiance, who is like 300 hours into it. It's interesting. I'm actually coming at this from, like, a baseline Pokemon knowledge and fandom where I have seen the Pokemon show and I enjoyed it. But then I would go to school and everyone had, like, their favorite Pokemons and they would be obsessed with it. And I'd be like, why are you guys obsessed with it? Oh, they were playing the games. I never was playing the games. So I don't even have, like, a favorite Pokemon. So, like, that's like the level of, like, Pokemon fandom that I got.
C
And now Ditto's gonna be your favorite.
D
Exactly right.
F
But no, I'm excited to, like, play this. I think this is my entry point to finding My favorite Pokemon to understanding the universe a little bit more from the G side of things. So then potentially I can parlay that content here more. I mean a lot of content.
E
Finding Roger's favorite Pokemon.
B
Yeah, this is a. Drop everything for me. I'm sure in the scroll out are going to play a lot of this. I've seen creators already on social media share that. It looks like it's.
C
I really thought this was going to be a me and Joey thing. I'm glad you.
B
Oh no, this is a. Well what they're promoting right now from what I've seen from creators saying that it's cloud based online, meaning that it's always on. So when I leave and I'm the host, Andy can work on it, Greg can work on it, bless can do whatever. So like that's where you get me with the squads in this world. I think I lost that with Animal Crossing because it felt so me alone and it was a lot. If this is Mike, Wash, Chris Sanka, Madock and Greg Miller.
C
Let me play with you.
B
Play. And at the same time and like whenever then I'm in. Like I'm going to go crazy on this.
D
If you miss one day though, you'll come back and Chris, Hank and Wash will now have like nuclear rockets. That's too much, guys.
B
And he gave up on us on Minecraft. It was really depressing for everyone. We had to have a funeral and everything.
D
Yeah, I was like really excited. Like, oh, it's my. Like I'm going to give Minecraft a real honest try and suddenly it's like we have platinum fucking sniper rifles and stuff.
E
I got a fun bit and I got a prediction for you. Firstly, Viva Pinata, the TV show ran from 06 all the way through 09 on 4 kids TV 52 episodes of wow.
F
And it's weird because it was released simultaneously with the game because it's based off the game. But I think the show came out before the game. So it's a weird one. It's a weird confusing one. Yeah.
E
My prediction, I think Procopia ends up in the kind of funny top five. Okay.
C
God damn. Yes. That's my one.
D
That's a really good. I mean without a pizza bet.
C
I mean who's arguing against them?
F
Yeah, I don't like anybody.
D
I mean I wouldn't mind. Mike, you like buying pizza?
B
I do love pizza. I do love pizza bets.
C
I'll do it. I'm fine. I'll say it. I don't think it ends up in the top five. Oh, you know, I fucking. It's a game Greg Miller likes that everyone likes. I don't believe it.
B
I don't believe it.
F
But mine doesn't happen in decades.
D
But like, me, like. But me and Mike have that survivor game, like building, like, you know, history we love.
C
Yeah, but this isn't going to be. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't going to be like a survival game.
D
No, but I mean, I just love building stuff. I love kind of seeing the community grow.
C
Let's fucking rock this.
B
I spent three hours in a survival game last night. It was.
D
What'd you play?
B
Windrose, the new pirate. Survival.
D
All right.
B
That's right.
C
It's getting more intense and angry.
D
We got to hop back into enshrouded.
C
We still have so many March 5 games to go. The other one I highlighted here was Never Grave, the Witch in the Curse. This one I hadn't heard of until I went through. This Never grave is a 2D action adventure game where you embark on a journey assisted by a cursed hat, recognize enemy patterns, combat foes using magical abilities, and occasionally leverage the environment to your advantage.
D
This is the power devs.
C
No shit. Yeah, I totally missed that. This was them.
D
I thought.
C
Good art style and obviously 2D action adventure hopping around.
D
I had played the demo. I didn't love it. It does seem to have possibly like, you know, improved since then. Oh, maybe it's just Pocket Pair publishing. It's not the actual PAL World team, but it's the. The publishers.
H
What's wrong with Mike?
B
Oh, nothing. You'll. You'll hear it in a second. Something exciting.
C
Oh, Jesus fucking God.
F
Another simulator.
C
So anyways, in the games we should be going fast through because we have thousands more to go. Displaced comes to PC Early Access on March 5th. Coffee Talk Tokyo comes to Switch. Docked comes to PC.
B
Well, none of this matters except for docked, okay? We have another life sim on the way. Punch that nine to five after your five to nine, okay. Or punch that five to nine. This is lit A long. Schwarzman's job is never done. As the lead operator, you will be tasked with getting hands on daily operation continuous expansion of your father's dock in the way of a devastating hurricane. Yes, I will. 100%. I want you to know that I'm on the tick tock feed of dudes out in Oakland who show up to the docks all the time and unlock all of the big cargo boxes. And I think to myself, I could do that. I could probably hear you're off. Tick tock well, it's Instagram now. They follow you.
D
This guy is horrifying looking.
F
Yeah,
D
he's scarier than the guy who juiced his pants because of the unclogging thing.
B
You know what, Greg Miller, mark it down end of the month, put on a games cast. Snowbike Mike tells you the simulator of the month.
F
Oh, I thought you're gonna do.
E
Oh, wow.
B
I'll tell you, I thought it was
F
gonna be a stream and the headline was gonna be Mike is docking.
B
That's actually great too.
C
Yeah.
D
Yeah, let's do that.
C
Yeah. Okay. I like that a lot.
B
Yeah, Put all these to the side. Yeah, we got them.
C
All right, then back to it. Back to dawn comes out on Switch. This is still the fifth poker night of the inventory comes to PC, PS4 and Switch. Come on, we're so back.
F
So back. Gaming is great.
C
Pooh Muckle and the Crown of the Pirate King comes to Switch. Switch 2 and PC. Chromlec comes to PC. Early Access Rager comes to PSVR 2 and PS5. Machine Mind comes to PC. Mech Fortress comes to PC. Portrait of a Torren comes to PS5. Sushi Cat Tower Defense comes to Switch. Ratcheteer DX comes to Switch and PC. And then Vampire Therapist comes to Xbox X and Xbox One. It's also on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It had been released on PC. Vampire therapist is a captivating narrative adventure drawing inspiration from classics like what we do in Shadows. The comedic horrors of Mel Brooks and the absurdity of Monty Python. The educational humor of Horrible Histories looks like a visual novel that we're clicking through, making choices, having things while we talked with a vampire. I'm intrigued and I will be trying to play this at some point. Then our final March 5th game is Age of the Barbarians Chronicles on PC. And while we're here, let's take a breath. F
He's here buddy.
C
He's here. Don't worry, he's getting more water. Then we move on to March 6th. Lost and Found Co comes to PC Mirage 7 comes to everything it looks like Fortuna Magnus comes to PS5, Xbox and more. Sumerian 6 comes to Xbox Series X and PS5. Athos Atheist comes to PC over the top. World War I comes to PC Early Access the Bearer and the Last Flame comes to Xbox X and PlayStation 5 and PC. Heart of the machine comes to PC. Then it's March 9, Age of wonders 4. Rise from ruin comes to Xbox, PC and PlayStation 5 blossoms. Seed of life comes to PC. And then we get to another large day. March 10, the first one on the docket. Ghost of Yote Legends Blessing. Take it away.
E
Firstly, Andy mentioned it during the break, but March 6th, Lost and Fountain Company comes out. We ain't gotta talk about it, but you should check out how it looks. Just watch a trailer. The art style is very adorable.
C
So cute.
E
Go to Yote Legends. We gotta have a real conversation. Who's playing this with me? Are we doing this on stream? Like, what's the day gonna look like? Are we marathoning? Like, what's the plan? Because we gotta. We gotta do something.
F
We will do.
E
I'm putting down my something.
D
We will do something.
E
I put down Andy's in.
D
Put me in.
E
Mikey, you in?
D
Put me in. Coach.
B
I've been in since day one.
E
Come on.
F
How many. How many people?
E
Four Two and four. Two for like the story missions, but then for like the big boss.
D
Oh, okay.
E
Got it.
F
All you need is two people.
E
Yeah, but if we stream, we can maybe cut between two.
B
Okay.
E
Okay.
F
I'd be interested it because I've never played. Of course.
E
I love Team Beta.
B
They're Team Alpha. They'll run the two player missions and then we'll meet for the.
F
Why do we have to be Team Beta?
C
You know, you're the baby.
F
Come on.
C
You're the baby.
B
You want to be Team Contra?
F
Blessing continues.
E
I'm really excited about this. Of course, it's actually.
D
Charlie, that's the speed.
B
Honestly, I don't want to.
E
I mean, you know me.
C
Contra is cool.
D
I mean, it sounds way cool. I was going to say like Team Sunset and Team Overdrive or something like that.
E
Tsushima Legends is one of the big reasons why I. I adore that game. And so Yote Legends is one I'm really excited about. I'm really excited about. If you're somebody who hasn't played Legends or aren't super familiar. Right. It's a fun way to play Ghost of Yote together. Running through missions that are more fantastical. And yeah, they have them separated out by different modes. It's kind of a gear game. If it's following the thing of the first one, which it seems like it is, as we saw through the overview trailer, you're going to be playing as different classes collecting gear for those classes to upgrade and level up. And they do a surprisingly good job of it. Like, I'm I'm still very impressed. And I think Ghost of Sushima Legends is still fairly underrated as far as the amount of content that it brought. So I'm really excited here. If you're into something like a horde mode, which I know. I believe they have here. The. The missions that they have here. And then an eventual raid which I loved. The Tsushima Legends raid. Can't wait for all of it. I think people are gonna really dig this time around.
D
If there are moments where we have the elevate each other run to the whatever spots so you don't get damaged right now. Like that's my. Yeah, I just love that.
E
And it's one of those. It's one of those for sure.
B
And we run to the well of healing.
D
Oh fuck yeah.
C
Also on March 10th, Rangers Path National Park Simulator PC Early Access. Mike would love to join you on Yote, but he's got to play a simulator.
B
I'll be playing this for sure.
C
Unsealed. The mayor comes to PC. Then Mr. Sleepy man comes to PC. Remember this? I highlighted this one. And Mr. Sleepy Man. You play as a sleepy guy who's up way past his bedtime and out of control. The citizens of Bedtime Town don't stand a chance. Make a mess of everything you find and turn the entire town against you. This is that weird as fuck game that I can't wait to try. This is one I'm fucking high on for sure.
D
It's got like a really like kind
H
of Rugrats aesthetic mixed with Pizza Tower.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah. We saw this on the six one Indie. That's where Showcase was. Charming as hell then. And it's still charming now. It just looks really cool and inspired.
E
Yeah, it kind of reminds me of Tinykin also, I think just as far as like how inspired the art style of it looks.
C
I get some thank goodness you're here vibes from you.
D
Yeah.
C
Looking forward to that. Subnautica below zero comes to Android and iOS.
D
That is right. It did have a banger theme song. I do remember. I don't remember what it is, but we enjoyed it. We were singing along the whole day.
C
Sealed gate comes to PC Early Access. Space Fleet Heat Death comes to PC Early Access. Galactic Vault comes to PC. And Mike Skate Season 3 arrives. One last ride. They're laying off members of the team. They're pissing off the community. Lock in the fucking island behind.
D
Really?
B
Grom Island's locked up.
E
Yeah. Yeah.
B
There's a.
C
There's a very complicated schedule on when you could get in for free. If you wanted in, yes.
B
You have a small window to get in. You give money. You give money.
D
Okay.
B
There might even be a rental system that they're trying to work on. Gotcha.
C
That is true. That is true. With the rip chips, which you earn in game. So there you go.
B
Yeah.
F
Crazy.
B
It's crazy.
C
I told you. I told you. A game of the year. I'm like, I love skate and it won't be here probably in a year. They full people off yesterday.
D
We need you to do a kick clip for us on camera in order. Feel like that's you in here.
C
We moved to March 11th. Piece by Peace comes to PC. The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince comes to PC. Space Tales comes to PC Early Access. And Humanest comes to PC Early Access. March 12th. Another big day for video games. John Carpenter's Toxic Commando comes to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Finally, in the near future, an experimental attempt to harness the power of the earth's core ends in a terrifying disaster. The release of the Sludge God. Mike, you stuck for this one?
B
Yeah, yeah. I actually played the demo last night.
C
First person shooter.
B
Yeah, first person shooter. Up to four players. Left four Dead meets Helldivers, but a little. It's like it's Left four Dead but on a grander scale. I think it's like the maps in the zones feel like Helldivers with how much space. Definitely was giving World War Z vibes. If you've ever played that with how many zombies or monsters are on the screen right here. Surprisingly ran well. Looked good. A little slow for a single player experience, but I think when you get your squad in here, if you're into PvE super zombie horde games. Yeah, you're gonna like this one.
C
Hell yeah.
D
I'm surprised you skipped over piece by piece. This seems like such a you ass game. Or someone like. Like Joey Noel who loves a little like, you know, rebuild the the house.
C
Let's look back to piece by piece.
D
Yeah.
C
March 11th. It's time to open shop. Inherit your family's repair shop and roll up your sleeves. Fix up prized possessions of the forest folk. Paint yourself a masterpiece to sell and make your family shop all your own with decorations, furniture and cookies.
D
Art style is adorable.
C
Can I see the trailer?
D
This is cute as shit.
C
Yeah, it looks like what we're a little. A little cute fox over here.
D
A little cute fox. And you know, you get like, all right, here's this little telescope. Let me paint it. Oh, let me paint my room. Let me paint all sorts of cool
C
stuff coming PC, March 11th. Switch Q1, 2026, according to this. Okay, okay, I'll check it out. You sold me. You got me. I think that was Trailer getting ready to play. Here it is.
D
Look at it. It's cute. Yeah, Adorable.
C
Yeah. Kind of get some moonlighter vibes there, right as you run your own show.
D
Yeah, except there's no action. You know, I wouldn't need a Dodge and a Perry for the little fox, but.
C
Well, then just go play Tunic. All right, what do you want me to do? Hold on. I'm adding piece by piece to my wish list again. Like we've talked about before, everybody, remember these indie devs, all devs need your help. Go to open your steam, add it to your wish list, do that there so that they understand that they got something hot that you need to come see. Anyways, back to where we were, everybody. On March 12th. You're also getting the Dying World Xbox series X and PlayStation 5. The story starts three years before the events of the first game in the Adventures of Duskbreak. Worth noting, I think I'm putting it here is more for the conversation. Of course, yesterday, Nacon, the publisher filing for insolvency and this game's still coming out, but they can't pay their debts right now. So an interesting one there for a game that I know people are excited for. I have heard people chatting this one up and talking about it, but we'll have to wait and see if it actually goes anywhere after that. I have Fatal Frame 2, the Crimson Butterfly remake. Everything is coming to the full remake of the second installment of the Fatal Frame Project Zero series. Originally released in 2023, this Japanese style horror adventure game follows twin sisters who become lost in an abandoned village haunted by vengeful spirits. Using the camera obscura, a device that can capture and seal away the impossible, they fight the ghosts as the story unfolds. I loved Fatal Frame back in the day. I'm excited for this remake.
F
Gotcha. Is that something? Is it like required reading? Should I be playing this game? As somebody who's trying to go down, I think you.
E
Yeah.
C
Especially with how much you. Well, here's the thing. I can't speak to this remake, obviously. I'm hoping this remake will be good. Great. You know what I mean? And I think that for you, if somebody's come on to horror games lately, especially off like Silent Hill and stuff, I think if they can nail that, yes, play this game.
F
Okay.
C
Because it's so fucking cool of like something's attacking. You got to look through your viewfinder to find them and take their picture.
E
Okay.
C
Very. So might give us a chance. After that, we go through more March 12 games. 13:48 X Voto comes to PC and PS5 Solasta 2 comes to PC Early Access. Then WWE 2K26 comes to everything. Roger. We sent you to WWE HQ to play it. What do you got to say?
F
First things first. It's coming to everything, but not previous consoles. So.
C
It is.
F
I believe.
E
That's awesome.
F
I believe. Yeah. I believe this is a Nexon.
C
Oh, great.
F
They haven't been pushing that as much because I think the game is kind of the same as it was last year. Right. So I think Island's a lot more divine. Exactly. But it's. Yeah. So I got. I went there. I was able to go to WWE headquarters. I interviewed a bunch of wrestlers. Some of those videos we showed on kfgd. Some of them will go up live soon. Yeah, I had a great time there and I played a little bit of the game. Honestly, the way that they set it all up wasn't conducive for me to be able to talk to the wrestlers and play the game as much as I would like to.
C
Sure.
F
But from what I played, it's more wwe, and that's a good thing. I enjoyed my time with 2K25, especially when it came to Switch 2. The game runs like butter on the Switch 2, and I didn't play it WWE 26 on the Switch 2. But if it's anything like the last entry, I'm sure it's going to be great there. But yeah, they had added a few match types. I quit matches, Inferno matches, and Dumpster matches. I played Dumpster matches. That was fun. Exactly what Ambulance was.
C
Yeah, right.
F
Yeah, exactly. Inferno match. Kind of disappointing. You just have to beat someone up a bunch of times and the meter goes up and then you throw them over. So it's like whatever there. Interestingly enough, the Showcase mode is CM Punk, which is cool. I don't. I'm still a hater on the idea of Showcase modes trying to get you to do objectives, Especially when in the very beginning of the Showcase Mode, they recreate WrestleMania 41, which is CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins fighting together. So it becomes kind of a mess if you miss the one opportunity you had and then you had, and then you just have to redo it all. So that's there. They added a gauntlet mode there where you can fight basically all of the bosses of the Showcase in one. You know, to get all the upgrades instead of having to redo all the showcase stuff. So that's a good quality of life stuff. I do wish that they would turn off the objectives for people like me. I talked to the developers about that. They said maybe one day eventually. But. Yeah.
D
Yeah.
F
Had a good time there. The game runs great. I think the physics are better this year and it just feels like we're leveling up the best wrestling game. Yeah.
B
That.
F
That we can ever have. So. Had a great time with it. And yeah, it seems like Kit Wilson's entrance is in there, so. Oh, at least his music is there, so that's what I've heard. So very excited about that.
E
So.
F
Hell yeah. I'm very. I'm gonna play this one on the Switch 2 specifically.
B
Yeah, I'm excited about this one. How do we feel about CM Punk as the showcase mode? I'm excited because, like, as someone who's not a big CM Punk guy.
D
Right.
B
I am excited to, like, see the history and like, like, understand, like, oh, this is why he's one of the top guys.
C
I'm straight edge and I'm better than you. Yeah. And like the ring of honor look. You know what I mean? Like, him wrestling in, you know, garages. Looks awesome.
B
WrestleMania. Yeah, WrestleMania. It was all the WrestleManias, right? Or like expanding those. That was. I thought that was really, really well done.
D
I like.
B
I like the story moments or the story modes, whatever you want to call it.
F
Well, no, last year was Roman Reigns, right? Yeah, that was the.
B
Was it Roman Reigns?
F
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was like the.
B
Yeah, I like. I like those that they've done in sports games. We talk about it with mlb, the show all the time. I really do love capturing the history and, like, making it playable and allowing people like me to learn about it. What about the island? Let's get real.
C
Did they let you on the island?
F
They did let me on the island. I. I went on the island. I'm like, I don't even know what I'm looking for here, guys. We're trying to find the differences. I'm like, apparently Roman Reigns is not the tribal chief anymore. So he's gone. I don't know what the whole deal is. I was very confused. But I needed you, Mike. I needed you to show me what
B
the difference back from the island.
C
How much money?
B
End of the month, we'll have a conversation about the island.
C
Put that in the sim. Put that in the same conversation real quick. One, this is. I forget. I'm. I don't know if I've Told you, Roger or anybody. But like this is a fun one for the audience I think to know why you love Kit Wilson even if you don't know you love Kit Wilson. Have you heard of my Kit Wilson story?
E
No.
C
Survivor Series Chicago.
E
Okay.
C
I was on the pre show or whatever and I was backstage just chilling with Xavier woods as one does. And Kofi like I always did. They were playing Tekken. I was just shooting the with him but. But I'm in the locker room doing that and Kit Wilson walks in and he like comes in and starts like coming right towards me. I'm sitting in a chair and I'm like, oh fuck. Like I'm in this dude's seat. You know what I mean? Blah blah. And so he approaches and I get up and he goes, no, I just wanted to say hi. I grew up reading your reviews and I was like, dude, you're the athletic man that you're the adult, not me. I shouldn't be. You shouldn't have grown up listening to me. That was like something ridiculous. We talked about IGN for a while. Yeah, but he a legit video game person out there. Everybody get behind Kit Wilson because he is having a moment right now.
F
Yeah, it's my brother's favorite wrestler.
C
Oh wow. R type tactics 1 and 2. Cosmos comes at Switch, PC, PlayStation 5 and more. Then Road out comes to PS5 Series X, PC and more as well. I highlighted this one because it's a great game. Road out is a story driven adventure that combines top down action RPG elements with rubber burning driving mechanics. Explore a vast post apocalyptic world in your car. Then battle your way through puzzle filled dungeons on foot. With inspirations from the Legend of Zelda, GTA and Rock and Roll Racing, Rode out is a rich story full of surprises, missions and rip roaring races.
D
Oh, I wasn't expecting if you're an
C
audio Pixar, it's got like a pixel style to it and all this stuff but really cool art. Like I'm interested in this for sure. I want to grab this one from there. Dark Switch comes to PC Rail. Warped worlds in troubled times comes to everything pretty much. Timberborn comes to PC. Solteria up comes to PC Bubblegum Galaxy comes to Switch, Xbox Series X, PS5 and more. Collector's Cove comes to PC, Switch and PS5 Corner Shop. Night Shift comes to PC.
E
One that I, I should have highlighted but I'll shout out real quick is rel. Warped worlds and troubled times. That scene coming out, that's one of the ones you just read the art style for this game is gorgeous. The thing reads rel Warped worlds in Trouble Times is a semi open world puzzle adventure where you play as a loudmouthed hotheaded maze trying to figure out why everybody has disappeared with 40 magical runes to combine.
B
However.
E
However you want. Every challenge is an opportunity to create your own solution.
B
Oh, wow.
E
Yeah. And as you can see, like really, really cool looking game with really cool like 2D art style even though you're exploring kind of a 3D world here.
C
Love that. Yeah. Okay. And then we move to March 13th.
D
No, hold on. We have one more.
C
I thought I said it.
D
We have fixed force.
C
I didn't say that.
D
Fix Force is.
C
Oh, we just talked about this in the last show.
D
Yeah, yeah. Abu game that he's been working.
C
I just got announced today.
D
I'm not.
C
Not bad. Okay.
D
Yeah, this is one of them, you know, Hang Beast slash Friend slop games. But I love the idea of kind of having one of these games mixed in with gravity controls. I just love like a, you know, thinking back to playing any of the Valve games, you know, I just kind of love that as a mechanic and to have that with friends and kind of creating bridges from pieces of wood and things like that, I don't know, just seems really, really neat. And it's a, a neat mechanic to add on to a genre that's already kind of popping off on, on Steam.
E
I want to shout out the studio like the variety in their games is kind of insane when you talk about their first thing being a Metroidvania with it within African mythology. Their second game being Dead Pig. This first person like Horror Walking Sim fm. Yeah. With FMV cut scenes which I mean Bear played and absolutely loved. And to come around here where they are making this multiplayer co op friendlike type game really, really cool to see them shift and navigate these and continue to explore these different types of game styles.
C
100%. Then we move to March 13th. I'm sorry, Andy. And this one's led off by Monster Hunter Stories three Twisted Reflections.
D
You're stoked about this?
C
Well, I've cooled a bit on it. Right. So this is coming to PlayStation Switch, Xbox, PC. The demo came out and I had been. I had just finished Dragon Quest 7 reimagined. I had started up Dragon Quest 11 and then the Elusive Age or whatever, the definitive edition. And then this demo dropped and I jumped in and as I'm jumping through all these turn based JRPGs, I'm trying to find that right. One that fits all the things. And for stories three from What I played off that demo. Love the art style, love the vo, Love the world they're building. But their battle was just a bit more. I don't want to say intense or cumbersome, but it's got like a whole rock, paper, scissors thing of like, they're attacking you with green, so you should use blue. But then there's also underneath that moves you need to do. And then you've got a monster and you need to have that. It's like a monsty. I apologize. And so I was like, dang. Like Dragon Quest 11 I was enjoying because it was clearly just an evolution of Dragon Quest, which in Dragon Quest 7 was, like, so simple in a good way. And this Dragon Quest 11 was giving me more to do with that simple mechanics. And then this one was like, oh, you're demanding more of my attention in the battle system. And over here, somebody, I can't read the name. Sensa says they like the battle system. I'm not saying it's a bad battle system. I'm just saying for what flavor of ice cream I was eating, I wasn't ready to jump to this mashed potato taste. You know what I mean?
E
That sounds bad.
H
Is this the series with Coco?
C
This is Coco. Okay. Somebody help. Coco needs help. Were you able to save Coco again? The demo? I haven't. I. So back.
D
He dies in the dinner.
C
I was enjoying the demo, but I kind of petered out on it where I was like, I don't know if this is it. So it actually kind of pushed me a little bit away. So I don't know. It's not high on my list right now, but it's because Pocopi is coming up. There's a million things to play. There's a lot going on, but hopefully when it gets there, it'll hit at the right time and I'll be all about it. And then Mighty Merchant also comes to PC on March 13th. March 15th. 15th, sorry. Sees Alterios come out to PC. March 16th has the Seven Deadly Sins Origin on PC and PS5, Starship Troopers Ultimate Bugwar on Xbox, Series X, PC, PS5 and more. And then Deadline Delivery on PC. March 17th has Volunteer the Ascension on PC Early Access and then MLB the Show 26 coming to Switch. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X. Barrett. Mike, I assume you're stoked.
B
Barrett the Bass Bros. You know, we're stoked. We're always excited to jump back in for another season of baseball. Of course, spring training is going to be coming in full effect here in just a moment. Always Great to come back. You see college is a big deal, right? We kind of touched on college last year when I was playing, adding some of the teams in. I remember Tennessee, Florida and a couple other schools. But I mean, we are back with the best baseball sim there is really one of the only baseball sims. And so they have the market. They have done a great job though storylines. I always tell you about how great that team has done, highlighting that, of course the gameplay is always fantastic. They continue to iterate and change what they want to do inside of Diamond Dynasty and how they can keep players engaged and playing throughout the entire year. They added that roguelike experience last time, so it'll be interesting to see what they add this time. Blessings.
D
About to get into baseball. I see it on his face.
C
Baseball.
H
I don't remember if I actually played any of the show last year and I'm. I'm struggling to get into the. The mental mood for picking this up, but we'll see if that changes in the next couple weeks. But yeah, it's. The show continues to be, you know, the place to play baseball in. In the video game realm.
D
Can you scroll back like maybe 10 seconds? There's a shot where it's like Griffey and all these people at like a Hall of Fame kind of like award ceremony. Everybody's in suits and ties. It was. This was getting roasted on social media by like, yeah. Why do. Why does this game look so terrible after so many years in like, like time?
C
Well, I mean, it's the traditional reason, right? This is what they're focused on trying to make look good. The actual action in the baseball. And so anytime you take any of these sports games, you're like, now just do something basic. Have them in suits. Like, well, we don't fucking.
F
You think this looks bad? Watch the WWE 2K behind the scenes talking to Paul Heyman.
D
It's like, oh, no. Christ. Yeah.
C
Snoopy and the Great Mystery Club comes to Switch 2 on March 17, Elemental Reforged on PC. Whispers of the Eyeless on PC. March 18 sees Shadow Tactics, Blades of the Shogun come to Switch 2. Mike, that was that one you liked a lot. That turned out for like a decade.
B
Yeah.
C
Layer Land comes to PC. And then Dig Dig Drill comes to Switch. And then March 19, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Crimson motherfucking desert comes out. You have all been super chatting your balls off about it. JJ Baseball upgraded to a 5070 for Crimson Desert is the only thing I want to play, which is really real problem since it doesn't come out for like 33 weeks. Then soft Lips Chris, another username as a twitch peep. This is my first super chat. I'm stoked for Crimson Desert, but apprehensive with how ambitious it is. And Andy, I'm eating a Greek salad.
D
Nice. Soft Lips Chris always lets me know what. What they're eating.
C
I like that. I appreciate that a lot too. I'm sure. I thought I had another one here, but yeah, there's a whole bunch. Gentlemen, it's happening. Crimson Desert is happening in like 22 days now. I can't wait. I want to know. I. From what I played of that demo, I was like, this could be great. It could be mid. But I think the longer I played it, the more I was like, I'm having a really fun time. And then you watch this shit. And like we talked about in games daily today, Pearl Abyss, you know, turning down PlayStation for a publishing deal back in the day. They believe in this. They believe in what they're doing and I want to believe in that.
E
Yeah, this is a. This is a clear my schedule situation. Like, I want to give this one the time and space to dive deep into it because the more we see, the more ridiculous and unbelievable it looks. But also they're showing off so much that it's like. Well, it's not like you guys are hiding anything here. Yeah, yeah, right. Like, it's not like you guys. It's not like it's. We have many questions. Like, they're showing us what the game is. It just looks so ridiculous. So I'm excited to jump into it. My hope is that it is one of those. This is lofty, as I say it, right? But like an Elden ring, breath of the wild. One of those open worlds that it is is just get lost and take it how it is and like, you know, use all the systems, solve the puzzles, get into the combat. Hopefully it's fun to play. Like, I'm really excited to see what this delivers as far as being this massive open world game.
D
Yeah, previews were super glowing about it. Everybody who went to that preview event, I. This is one that I implore anybody to watch the last three videos that Pearl Abyss released on. I don't know if they did it on their own YouTube channel, but it's definitely on PlayStation's YouTube channel. And it's the last three where it's like, the first one is here's the world of Crimson Desert, and then another one is here's what you'll be doing and another one is like some other kind of deep dive. They're about 15 minutes each. But like you, you see what's on display here and the word from this event coming is that like it runs amazingly on console and that, you know, even when I played it on PC back during PAX west last year, was stunned that it looked as good as it did and ran super incredibly well and was getting some frame rate jobs here. But it's like this was not a framey disaster like I was expecting because everything is so optimized and it's their proprietary engine and they are not using all of these outside programs and third party plugins to, you know, generate trees or to do physics. It's all just in their, their proprietary engine. So that's why they're able to, to pull off this sort of engineering wizardry. And yeah, it seems like they're super confident about it and it really does feel like this is going to be a massive hit this year.
C
Hopefully. Man, your words to God's ears because, yeah, I can't wait. I really hope it nails it. March 19 also sees Death Stranding 2 on the beach come to PC. And then of course, oh, thank you very much for dropping this in. I forgot about this. It hadn't been updated. We had Mouse PI for hire, but that has been delayed to April. No one look at it.
B
It.
C
Don't look at it. Rog Dragonkin the Banished is also a March 19 game. Xbox X, PC PS5 rushing beat X the return of Brawl Brothers Switch 2 and PC. Stone Guard comes to PC early access. March 20. Ghost Master Resurrection comes to PC. Switch PS5 and more Rubato comes to Switch PS5 PC.
F
I played the demo.
C
Yeah.
B
Shit.
C
Fuck.
F
Stop it. Yeah, you guys reacted to this on kfgd was the trailer that I put in there, which is like insane. It looks like a million different games. Yeah. This game I played the demo wasn't like terribly impressed with the way that it feels. I like the art style, like how they're going insane with it. I also didn't love the writing in the beginning. It just felt a little bit like not XD raw, random. But it, it just didn't hit for me.
D
Right.
F
It wasn't making me laugh as much as it should be. I like looking at this game more than I like playing it. But I'm going to check it out, see if, you know, pass the demo if it actually changes. But it's a cool trailer and it looks kind of neat.
C
March 20 also sees Coffee Talk come to Android and iOS a game I enjoyed back on the Vita, but back in the day. The 22nd has remnants of yore PC early access. The 23rd has seven deadly sins origin iOS and Android. 24th has Ariana and the elder Codex on switch PS5 and PS4. And then March 25th sees Damon and Baby. Oh yeah. I don't know what this is. Why y' all popping off for this.
E
This is being published by Arc System Works.
D
Funny name.
C
Two different reasons.
E
The name is hilarious. But this is.
C
Yeah.
E
One that's being published by Arc System Work Works. It. I don't even know how to describe this game because it's a. It gives almost like double A to indie vibes, but it is a top down also side scrolling like beat him up slash like has God. As I'm saying, these things are happening on screen. Shoot them up vibes to it, right?
D
Like rescue Death Store. It's doing.
E
Oh, oh, I can see the death store comparison, but he's doing a lot of different things. You're basically playing as a big guy that's taken care of like. Like a little baby.
D
That's the baby's name is. Is Damon. You're the baby. Actually, it's one of those flips that. On its head. Yeah, yeah.
E
But it's a game that looks crazy. He's doing all these different things. But for me, it was seeing this in the Arc System Works showcase that they did last year.
D
They.
E
They closed on this game.
B
Oh yeah, they.
E
They had.
D
They.
E
There was like a palpable excitement coming out from Arc System Works and they were talking about how the games industry is really tough right now for publishing bigger AAA titles. And they presented this as a thing that they wanted to explore more as far as. As smaller games are doing weird things that are experimental.
C
Yeah, Damon.
E
Damon and Baby was the kind of the. The child of that idea.
D
Well, Joey's about to walk on. Did Joey, you play Damon and Baby?
C
No, don't worry about it. I'm hosting the show.
E
Dude.
D
Come on. Come on.
F
God damn it.
C
I'm adding Damon and Baby to my wish list right now. Oh yeah, that one looks dope. But Next on the 25th is Disney Dreamlight Valley. Please welcome the one Joey. No, it's me. Disney Dreamlight Valley comes to switch to a switch to edition of this on March 25th. Joey.
G
Yes.
C
I am constantly getting you Disney Dreamlike Valley codes and we're always like, oh, well, we'll have you come on and talk about it sometime. Tell me about Disney Dreamlight Valley.
G
It's one of the ones that I go back to quite frequently. As we all know, we talked about the. Or you guys were talking about this earlier with all the sim games and stuff like that. It is one of my favorites. Obviously, I'm a big Disney person. I like the Disney movies. They do a really good job of tying in existing characters that we like and new things from the new movies in. So it's always really fun to see what kind of like, battle pass with new cosmetic items. The amount of, like, things that I spend money on this game.
C
Yeah, the mic trick. You're doing the mic thing because you
G
can buy, like, skins for your house and all these outfits. You also get a lot from the battle pass and they do a really good job of balancing, like, how much currency you get to buy stuff. It is shocking how well they've supported this game to keep adding new expansions in new areas. I do get a little bit hazy on the story because they're kind of like, adding things. But it's, I think, one of the, like, really best well supported ongoing sim games. I feel like we get really used to games dropping and that's kind of it.
C
Or complete with Animal Crossing.
G
Animal Crossing for sure.
D
Tina Narvaez loves this one. Joe.
G
Yeah, this is like absolute a dream for anybody that loves Disney. And it's a natural fit, obviously, for sim games.
C
Oh, yeah. Joey, thank you so much.
G
No problem.
F
Thank you, Joey.
C
Joey did that with no prep, by the way. I was like, oh, fuck. I meant to tell you ahead of time.
F
I needed you for this.
C
Come on here. Then your final 25th game is Room Battle on PC. Then we move to March 26, another humongous day for games. And we start with Screamer, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC. Blessing hasn't shut up about this.
E
March 26 is about to be a different kind of day because, like, yeah, Skreemer's coming out out. And that's a game that I, yeah, I won't stop hyping up. It is a racing game with a story and anime cutscenes and it looks fun and it looks ridiculous. And I'm a big fan of a fast paced arcade racer. Whether it be something like Burnout or even something like Forza Horizon series that we love very much. But yeah, this game, that guy looks
D
like the bad guy from Gundam.
E
That's my thing is like, the character designs in this game look so good, look so cool. And when you see the cutscenes and you see like, oh, there's. It seems like they're trying to tell a Story with drama and stakes and things going on here. But then the gameplay is pure racing. I love that idea. And this is coming from a developer that has made racing games in the past, I think mostly semi type racers. And so I love seeing this dev kind of stretch and try something that's a bit more stylish, a bit more like fun as far as vibe. And yeah, this is one I cannot wait for.
H
Shout out to the homie Alex Lee, who I think is one of the main characters here. I think Troy Baker is in this as well.
D
Yeah, you just like, honestly, if you just have a rival in a game or like just rivals talking to you.
E
Yeah.
D
Whenever I talk about how much I, you know, love the Mario Golf and Mario Tennis games on Game Boy, it's just all about that one dude walking up to you, you know, you know, put it all on the line, kid. Like that sort of. It's like, yeah, get me in there.
E
So the developer is Milestone, right. And like I want to shout out too, like streamer is the return of a very, very, not very old, but an older racing franchise from like 9 from the 90s for DOS. Right. But you go through and Milestone, they have made so many racing games, whether it be Ride, whether it be MotoGP, whether it be SBK, Hot Wheels Unleashed. They, they worked on like, they have a storied past of making a lot of different racing games. And so I love to see them working on something that looks this crazy. This quote unquote high octane marketing. Really cool.
D
Cool.
C
Also on March 26, Life is Strange, Reunion, everything, right?
E
Come on.
C
And we're in. We're. We don't know, but we're in.
E
Did you guys see the previews for this? No, I was reading one preview from the other day that seemed kind of positive.
F
I don't believe this. Because here's the thing. We. We forget. We played.
D
We.
F
We played the first. What was it, three episodes, four episodes?
C
Whatever it was before, we were all,
F
we were all so high on it.
C
We're like, oh my God, you just,
F
you just can't up the last two episodes and then they just crashed and burned. Right? Like, like I'm sure that the beginning is pretty solid, but like I just don't have any trust in, in. In them actually being able to land the plane. Especially when you have to do with Chloe. It's like such a, it's such a tricky subject. Especially when it comes to the audience, man.
C
Like, I'm still there, I'm still there.
E
I love that.
F
Really, You Guys are excited for this.
C
Not excited, but I'm. Well, yeah, you know.
E
Yeah, it's.
C
It's like I. This is how I feel. Like when you're a movie you liked a lot just keeps making sequels. You're like, I'm gonna go.
H
It's like, yeah, the mcu where you're like, maybe I'll give this one a shot.
E
The tough thing is. Yeah, it's kind of like the Marvel, you guys.
C
I'm more in like the Scream category.
B
Okay.
E
Okay.
C
My expectations are not high.
B
Yeah.
E
See, my thing is, like, it's Fast and Furious in the way that I'll continue to watch the Fast and Furious movies, but they've declined so much. I think it's because I'm there for it.
F
I live with Lianza, who's like, this is like her soul. Right. Like, Life is Strange is so personal to her. And then I've never seen her more destroyed. After the finale of Double Exposure. Tough.
E
As you think of the heights of Life Is Strange and you think about how good Life is Strange can be. And I'm not somebody who played Life Strange 2.
D
Sure.
E
And I want to someday. But, like, when I hear people who talk about Life is Strange too, they're like, knowing it did this and politically, like, it had this thing, it's like, wow, this is quality. And I think to true colors. And I'm like, yeah, that was a fucking good ass story in true colors. And now it is. We've gotten. We come around to where it is. All right, now give them the Chloe Max slop.
B
Yep.
E
And I'm like, man, I'm. I'm mad.
F
We've marvelized this.
E
We've marvelized this in a way where I'm like, I've seen the Heights and we're not there. But you're giving me characters that I do have this nostalgia for. And so I'm still going to tune in. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
F
I just can't separate my negativity of everything that happened last time and also my sadness of, like, you know, this is going to be the last one, you know. You know, there's no way to turn around. Well, you know, there. No, there's no way that Deck 9.
E
This is going to be Deck 9's last one. But Square Enix is going to make more Life is Strange.
F
Not for a while. I feel like they're like, this is. This is scorched earth. For a while.
B
I.
E
My, My fucking weird timeline prediction.
B
Yeah.
E
If we're in the weirdest timeline, is that it goes back to the original developer.
F
Oh, wow. Donut.
C
Oh, we get it back to Donut.
E
Yeah. Because what's the, like, Donut. I feel like they're searching for their next narrative.
C
Yeah.
F
And they tried it with Lost Records and that.
E
Yeah, Lost Records wasn't good. Like, hey, this is the perfect time to be like, Yo, Deck 9. They're not long for this world. Square Enix, we want to make another one. Let's go back to the originals and have, have, don't not make another one again.
F
We had it all and then we lost it.
C
Also on March 26th is Super Mario Wonder, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition plus meet up at Bella Bell Park.
B
Park.
E
Hell yeah. I gotta check out Bellable Park. I'm sure I've talked about it already. Bellable park has a lot of cool multiplayer content for Mario Wonder. I talked about it with Logan Plant from IGN in the Poke. Preview episode. And so if you want to hear more of my thoughts there. And Logan's thoughts were a little bit opposed. Like, I. I enjoyed the multiplayer content a lot here. Logan wasn't as into it. I think Logan was more desiring more single player stuff.
B
Right.
E
Okay. But I think this is going to make for a really good party mode.
D
You made a lot of comparisons to Pico Park.
H
Yeah.
E
As far as the weird different co op challenges they had. One of the ones we did was you had a couple of players playing with the Joy Con and mouse mode, drawing, you know, the Donut platforms in Mario where, like, you would fall after a while, the mouse players would draw the Donut platforms on the screen, while the platforming players would have to, like, use those to then get to the end of the level and collect the coins or whatever. Fun, unique stuff like that. There was another one that's basically Hot Potato where you're carrying a bomb and the Bob OMB would essentially say the name of a character.
C
So it'd be like, oh, that's cool, Peach.
E
And you'd have to throw the bomb before the time runs out. And then like, it would be like, Mario. And you had to do that and get to the end of the level before it explodes. Fun. Different challenges like that that I think are going to make for a fun co op play experience and then some competitive stuff in there as well.
D
Can you imagine if Nintendo buckled down and made a Mario and Luigi Hazela?
C
Like, wow.
E
Oh my God.
C
Wow.
D
Oh my God.
C
Don't even.
D
That would be.
C
I'm stoked for this, Ben. And I love playing Mario Wonder, but he usually gets frustrated because only the Nabbits are the ones who can't die in this time. They give it to everybody where you can go, everybody's going to be able to play this and not die. So he's looking forward to that. At least I am. And then also the game I'm looking forward to that I didn't learn about till here. Opus Prism Peak this is coming switch PC and switch 2. Opus prison pre peak is a story driven adventure where you play as a weary grownup who finds himself caught outside of reality using your old camera. Hey, there's Fatal Frame DNA. Here you'll explore an ethereal realm and its ties to the world you left behind, uncover its mysteries and ultimately find your way home. I'm like, yeah, okay, it looks like it looks cute, it looks cool. It looks like it's pulling at my heartstrings, of course. And I like a good photo game, so I'm looking forward to trying that out when that one arrives on March 26th. Just like Coppice City which is coming to PC, Xbox, PS5, Copa City.
B
I'm into this. Let's talk about it. FIFA World cup coming our way this summer. I love a good city building sim. I love a. I love, I love Sim City. I love a Tropico. And guess what? In this game you get to organize real football events in three worlds. Three real world cities. They've already shown Poland off. Now you'll get to be able to create your own football events around the globe, which is very cool of like getting to organize what would be the FIFA World cup here in San Francisco would be so much fun to do. And so yeah, this one definitely has piqued my interest. It has me with the city building management aspect. I'm into that.
F

This episode of Kinda Funny Gamescast delivers an exhaustive and entertaining rundown of every major video game releasing in March 2026. The cast—Greg, Blessing, Andy, Tim, Mike, Roger, with a drop-in from Joey Noel—share their hype levels, personal insights, and playful banter as they roll through the staggering release calendar. The episode is lively, deeply knowledgeable, and occasionally chaotic, with notable debates about which titles will dominate the month and which indie gems could break out.
Main Theme:
Is March 2026 a "hype month" for games, or is the schedule too overloaded for any one title to stand out? The cast debates which games they're personally excited for, which ones could flop, and the trends in genres and studios making waves this year.
Final Verdict:
March 2026 is set to be one of the busiest, weirdest, and potentially most exciting months in recent gaming memory. The panel rides a rollercoaster of genuine hype, friendly skepticism, and earnest hope for success, with the underlying message—you better clear your schedule.
