It's the most wonderful time of the month. What's up everybody? Welcome to another episode of the Kind of Funny Games Cast, this time for Wednesday, April 29th, 2026. I'm one of your hosts, Greg Miller, alongside blessing Mike, Tim and Andy. Hello, gentlemen. How are you?
Blessing
Hi, Greg.
Andy
Good.
Greg Miller
He says, Mike, give me the energy.
Mike
Hello, Greg. Great to see you. Welcome back. We missed you, man.
Greg Miller
It's just welcome back collection, Barrett, when you're not adjusting a camera. I'm sorry, I didn't see you the room till I started saying it.
Mike
Welcome back, Greg. We missed you. We're so happy you're here. I don't. I want to make it all about you, but. I'm sorry, I have to pause. Tim, this T shirt is dope.
Greg Miller
Oh, yeah, whatever.
Mike
This giraffe thing you got going on is super cool, bro.
Tim
Giraffe A man. Legendary Bay Area graffiti artist. Probably.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I thought it was. I thought he's making fun of it.
Mike
I thought it was Toys R Us,
Tim
kids, but now you're gonna. You guys are gonna see this everywhere.
Andy
Is that so?
Tim
Oh, yeah. A lot near your house.
Andy
Did you hear. Did you hear that they found what's his face? That one guy who's doing the fish?
Mike
Yeah, yeah. Oh, Banksy.
Andy
Yeah, they found him.
Blessing
What do you mean they found him?
Greg Miller
We didn't know who he was for a long time.
Tim
Yeah, in the gift shop.
Mike
You.
Andy
They identified him How? Facial recognition?
Blessing
No.
Tim
How'd they know what he looked like? I don't believe it.
Andy
Assumption.
Tim
This sounds like a piece, an art piece.
Andy
I may just be making all.
Greg Miller
Oh, you think it's another setup? Awesome. I like that idea.
Andy
I think I'm just. I think I just lied through all that.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I think they. I saw something that they did.
Tim
Right.
Greg Miller
He's an old man, though.
Andy
Yeah.
Mike
You know what I mean?
Tim
What do you want him to be?
Andy
He's like 50 or something.
Blessing
I just don't care.
Greg Miller
I just don't care. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Remember when he. Remember when he did that painting and then they bought it at auction and then it shredded itself? I like not enough people act like they're Batman villains.
Andy
That's all I'm asking for.
Greg Miller
We've done this podcast before, of course. If you're watching live, we're gonna run through every game coming out in May. We need your feedback. YouTube.com kinda funnygames super chats. You can be part of the show, just like Scarlet Libra did. As I said it all. Thank you, Greg and Tim, for the laughs earlier on. Kinda Funny Games Daily. That's what we do. I need it after finding out my grandma died this morning.
Andy
Oh, my God.
Blessing
Damn.
Andy
So sorry.
Greg Miller
Brighter note. Can't wait for double oh seven, huh? Now come on, Come on. That was a turn. Scarlet Libra. We're sorry about your grandma. That's a crazy button. That's a crazy button to put on. That's fucking crazy. I thought, I thought I was reading. I'm like, oh, it's going to be about a game in May. I'm like, oh no, it's serious about grandpa. And then brighter note. Can't wait for 007.
Tim
Sorry, Scarlett.
Greg Miller
Let me tell you, Meemaw can't wait. She would, she would have loved to watch you play 007. She would have loved it.
Andy
She loved Pierce Brosnan. Probably the other guy who was the
Greg Miller
first one, the first one, Sean Connery was in it.
Andy
Roger Moore. How did you fucking know that? Holy shit. I don't know if I could. I don't know if you could name 15 other actors. How did you get Roger Moore?
Greg Miller
Thank you to our patreon producers on patreon.com kindafunnycarl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Psalm Twining for now, let's begin with and what will ever be topic of the show. As I said, it is our monthly show what is coming out next month. So we're talking about every game coming out in May 2026. Of course we are going to the goat releases.com a site we all use when we're looking at release dates and going down their list. It's also a great way that if the game isn't listed, it's on them, not on us. Don't get mad at me. I can't deal with it. Okay, thank you.
Andy
Thank you.
Greg Miller
We begin on Friday, May 1st. My wedding anniversary. Wow. Nine years. She's put up with this for nine years? That's unbelievable, right? I know, right? The sounds that come out of that bathroom this poor woman has to hear,
Andy
you know, do you get her like a watch at the 10 year anniversary or like, you know, when you're employed at a job.
Greg Miller
I was going to get a plaque. Yeah, Wife of the decade. Put that up. May 1st we'll see Constance come to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Switch. Of course we've gone through and noted games we want to talk more about than maybe just shouting out. Constance is the one I put on there. Constance is a 2D hand drawn action adventure featuring a paintbrush wielding artist striving to escape from a colorful but decaying inner world created by her declining mental health. We have a trailer up here. This is one we've seen before a few times. Tim, you immediately Gave it a thumbs up.
Tim
Oh yeah. I mean, well, I was giving Barrett a thumbs up because he killing it over.
Greg Miller
I apologize. Thumbs up.
Tim
This game also gets a thumbs up. I. I've played maybe an hour of it on, on the Steam version, so I'm very happy this is coming to consoles. But Andy, you, you played a lot more.
Andy
I. Not a whole, not as much as I wanted to. I played about maybe two hours on stream and I really enjoyed it. I don't really have a great excuse for not going back to it. I think it was just near the end of the year and I was like, all right, I need to like finish those other titles or whatever. But this game is super impressive, really fun and does some weird kind of turns to kind of break the mold of it just being a side scrolling action platformer. There's, you know, after the chapters they do some really cool meta things where you're suddenly just controlling a PC, like a drawn version of a PC. You're getting, you're getting really overwhelmed with work and you have all these people like their in world version of Slack sending you, can you move the graphic this way? And then you go to move the graphic in their version of Photoshop and then another person messages you like, hey, I'm gonna need that edit really, really soon. You're like, oh, I gotta render that. And then it's just like dealing with kind of burnout and life and things like that and, and those are just smaller segments to kind of break up the otherwise super solid and really, really like tight gameplay that's very similar to Hollow Knight.
Greg Miller
Very cool. Are you gonna go back, you think for this final one? Final version was busy, busy. Yeah.
Andy
There's too many games I want to.
Tim
That's the problems. I'm right there with you in this one where it's like I, I wish I had more time because it deserves it. Like this game is very, very, very good. It's just, yeah, it's hard when there's other things and especially like I was playing this right after Hollow Knight Silksong and I was just like I'm a little Metroidvania that specifically this style but man, this one, it's. Do not sleep on this one.
Blessing
Okay.
Greg Miller
May 1st also sees frozen Ship come to PC early Access, Soul Quest come to PC Mining Merchant come to PC and Bright Lights of Svetlov come to PlayStation 5. Then we move on to May 5th and we lead off with Motor Slice coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. I put this one out and highlighted to Show y' all parkour through the ruins of a megastructure. Climb massive bosses and hunt down every construction equipment in this slice of life action adventure with immaculate vibes.
Tim
You could call this slice of life. That's insane. This looks cool as hell. They call us getting some shadow vibes here. The Colossus. But with.
Blessing
Oh, I see
Greg Miller
that. I read you the Steam description over on their releases.com page. It starts with inspired by Prince of Persia, Mirror's Edge and Shadow of the Colossus.
Andy
Yeah.
Blessing
It's funny because mirrors. That was the first thing that came to mind with this.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Traverse brutalist landscapes in this slice of life action adventure. I think it looks really cool.
Blessing
Yeah. I want to say I saw a trailer for this like a year or so ago. I thought it looked really neat. This is a surprise one did not realize this is coming out so soon. Yeah, really exciting. I love those inspirations they're taking. This is one that I definitely would want to try out to see how it actually feels right when you're playing a parkour game. I need that to feel good on the sticks.
Greg Miller
What if I told you right now on Steam there is in fact a demo. You can go get a demo for it right now. I know because I think this looks good enough that it's the first game today. I'm wish listing.
Tim
Oh, wow.
Andy
Of course.
Greg Miller
We talk about it on the show all the time. Remember how much wishlisting helps the devs of course, understand how popular a game is. Maybe get some last second funding. Maybe get funding for their next game. So if you like stuff today, open up Steam and Wishlist away. Andy and Tim. Andy sharing secrets. Andy sharing secrets.
Andy
I'm just, you know, I was putting out another game for him. Oh, it's another game that we. We passed through that I feel like we already passed.
Greg Miller
Yeah, we'll double back to it.
Andy
Well, it's a small game called Soul Quest.
Greg Miller
Tell me about.
Andy
It's on the list. It's just something that I've seen on Twitter a lot. It's one of those other sort of Twitter games that you always see pop
Greg Miller
up with coming out May 1st. Is Soul Quest coming to PC? I'm opening up the Steam description car. Carve your path through hordes of enemies def gods to seize the power of Morrigan, goddess of death, and revive the soul of your lost beloved. Soul Quest combines amazing gameplay with unique Celtic mythology into one action packed mixture.
Tim
Awesome looks. Freaking.
Andy
It's an awesome pixel art style but they are very, very inspired. By any sort of character action games. Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and trying to translate that into 2D, and I feel like that's just super up Tim's alley.
Greg Miller
I'm adding that to my wish list.
Tim
The, like, the, like. Obviously the fast attacks and all the style stuff, but it's like that. The little, like, delayed float that they have after each hit in the air, like, yeah, that's that good stuff.
Greg Miller
That looks awesome. Thank you, Andy. Yeah, of course. Always feel free to stop the show. Don't worry about it.
Andy
Yeah, yeah, my bad, my bad.
Greg Miller
No, no, you're fine, you're fine, you're fine.
Andy
I'm sorry, man.
Greg Miller
Mike, will you please put this in his permanent record?
Mike
Yep.
Tim
Thank you.
Greg Miller
May 5th. Wax Heads is also coming out. Xbox Series X, PC Switch, and PlayStation 5 in the black comes to PC Early Access. Gangs of Asia comes to PC. May 6th has forever coming to PC. Hypnos coming to PC. Europa Universalis 5, Fate of the Phoenix PC Amber Spire on PC turn bound on PSP PC. But beyond enemy lines. I just slam it all together. Beyond enemy lines. Vietnam come to PC as well. Then. May 7, a game many of us have been waiting a long, long, long time for. Mixtape comes to PC. Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. On their last night together, three friends embark on one final adventure. Play through a mixtape of memories set to the soundtrack of a generation. Tim, you and I, I feel like, have been talking nonstop about this. I got to play it at SGF last year for the first time. Blown away by what I did. I had it on my fantasy critic team last year. I forget who has it this time around.
Mike
How.
Greg Miller
What's your hype scale at right now?
Tim
Could not be higher. I mean, from the moment we saw this game, I think it was at the Xbox showcase, like, two years ago. I was like, holy crap, I can't wait. Artful Escape was my game of the year the year it came out. I forget what year that was. 2021. 2022 somewhere. 2121. Yeah. And I just. I loved it, man. It's like there's. It's such a unique thing where it's kind of Artful Escape is this, like, 2D walking simulator almost. But it's more just about the experience of it all. But the. The writing and love and care is just so up my alley. And, like, there's just such a vibe and tone to it all.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim
That I was just obs. And I see this and I'm like, wow, they are translating it to music. That is even more up my alley and a gameplay style that I just can't believe. It looks like a playable spider verse.
Greg Miller
Right.
Tim
Like you were getting that kind of like frame rate. They're playing with it all and it just. We haven't had games quite look like this.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim
And I am very interested in like how it plays, you know. And having played Artful Escape, I have a good idea of where the gameplay interactive elements are going to come in. And everything I've seen from this like from a audio visual perspective is incredibly cool. But the, the writing and characters like that for me is what I'm looking forward to the most because I, I feel like this is going to hit and I also think that this is going to be a much bigger success than Artful Escape was.
Greg Miller
I hope so.
Tim
The team over there and my guy, Johnny Galvatron. What a name. The director of this game.
Greg Miller
Johnny and Woody are going to be in on Friday for a live gamescast where you can ask them all your
Tim
questions and I can't wait. I haven't met this man. I'm excited to meet this man.
Greg Miller
Woody or Johnny Johnny.
Mike
You haven't met Johnny Johnny me a
Tim
billion times back in the day. But yeah, never met him yet.
Greg Miller
Oh my God.
Tim
Very excited.
Greg Miller
Okay, great. Anybody else? I mean I know me and Tim talk about it a lot. Where's everybody else's hype for this is
Blessing
one one of my most highest anticipated games coming out this year. Looks incredible. Our full escape didn't work as strongly on me, but I do acknowledge how good that developer is at creating something that looks fantastic. You know what I mean? And like I appreciate games that are going for an artful experience. Right. Hey, we are giving you something that is meant to be a sit down, put it on a big possibly oled
Greg Miller
TV and when you just got.
Blessing
Well, not my guy, you know, be my series. You know, not trying to brag and let yourself just get lost in experience. And so mixtape looks way more up my alley just for the kind of vibe that it is. So yeah, this is for sure one that I'm really excited for.
Mike
Yeah, this is number three for the month for me. Of.
Greg Miller
Oh, you have a ranked.
Mike
Yeah, I have a ranking. I've been, I've been doing numbers but like in all honesty, this is number three. There's a couple above it, but I'm very excited about this. It's one of those falls on my birthday. I hope to beat in a night or two nights. Have a blast.
Tim
Your birthday is May 7th.
Mike
May 7th. Tim did you get me something from Japan?
Andy
What'd you get him?
Mike
Did you get us something bad?
Tim
I could choose every single day and I would never choose a day in May. Yeah. Why?
Andy
There we go.
Tim
I thought, I don't know.
Mike
Greg's birthday. You wish him a happy birthday?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim
Oh yeah.
Greg Miller
He forgot though. Till the end of the game's daily,
Tim
I didn't know what day it was. Fucking hate him.
Greg Miller
I'm always right. May 7 also sees will follow light come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X PC. I highlighted this one. Toss it up there. It looks like one of them scary games. But they also said it was pulling inspiration from Firewatch. Dive into realistic single player first person journey through the harsh northern latitudes as you sail endless waters through searching for a way back to your loved ones. Will you follow the light? This is Will follow the light. You're seeing it here now. Whatever. Everybody knows Greg likes very specific games. I love those first person narrative. I'm trying to figure out as I go what the story is. And so for the glimpse at this one to get a scary Firewatch. And I know that I'm being reductive. There's a million games that do this and I've played a lot of them. This looks cool. This looks up my alley. I saw. I didn't know this was coming out or really what this was until I was looking through this year releases.com already delayed a month as you can see. And seeing what it was, I liked it and looked like it's something I want to try. So I put it on my wish list and I think other people will too. For will follow the light as you confront truths. Bless. You know I love confronting a good truth.
Blessing
I do know you love truth.
Greg Miller
Let's move on to a different game though and talk about Alabaster Dawn. Alabaster Dawn. Andy break Nyx's curse and guide humanity's rebirth in this top down two 5D action RPG from the creators of Cross Code. Andy.
Andy
Shout out to Jace for putting me on to Cross Code way back in the day. A game that I really enjoyed. Put a decent amount of hours into it. Never finished it unfortunately. But Alabaster dawn is one of these top down, you know, isometric action RPG games. But Crosscode and this have really, really strong Zelda puzzle design when it comes to how their dungeons are and making hitting that switch because you know that that's going to open that door and then. And then you discover the next sort of thing about the dungeon. That's really, really neat. But the Action is super sick. And I think the art styles are so freaking stunning. The 2D sprites look amazing whenever you are in conversations with other NPCs. But I love that the. It very much looks like pixel art because it is. Right. But the actual sprites that you are controlling are 3D models with just really smart engineering to make them look like they are always kind of 2D. But that helps out a lot with people trying to do like 3D action and animation and things like that. But I just love the art style. I love the way the demo played. I love the way it felt. It seems like it's gonna be totally my shit.
Greg Miller
Yeah. I call out your name not only because I know you liked it so much and have talked about it, but for me, this is the one we were watching on whatever showcase where this popped up. I was like, damn, that looks like a great game. And you're like, you need to play this other one Crosscode. And I bought it on the stream and then played it off stream. And I love Crosscode.
Andy
I remember you posting like I got a lot of games my backlog playing this game from 2020.
Greg Miller
I got a lot of games to review. I'm gonna do this 2019 game, crosscode to do and I had such a great time with it. I'm stoked for Alex.
Andy
Yeah, it is such a solid Zelda. Like when it comes to the action, the way the puzzles work specifically, I had a freaking blast with it.
Greg Miller
We move on for the other games coming out on May 7th. Duck side of the Moon comes to Switch and PC Hunt down overtime comes to PC Early Access and no offense to hunt down overtime, but that sounds like name generator.
Mike
I would say just keep an eye on this one. It's got a cool look to it. If you're liking replaced. I wouldn't put this as great as replaced, but it has a certain look to it with the dystopian world kind of running man. It definitely giving, you know, faster shoot side scrolling shooter.
Greg Miller
This kind of looks like. Like I'm. I'm looking at the scene page right now. It kind of looks like what I remember Terminator on Genesis.
Andy
Looking like the world's gone to hell.
Mike
I would just say keep an eye out on that one.
Greg Miller
Corporations turned crime infested streets into profit margins for bounty hunters. And John Sawyer is going to make a killing hunt die upgrade repeat in this explosive, explosive, sorry Roguelite prequel where every strategic upgrade strips away more flesh and builds a cybernetic fighter one chrome limb at a time.
Tim
Sick.
Greg Miller
I'M at an end of the wish list, Mikey. This is what I'm talking about.
Mike
Mike, finish replace too. Yeah, solid finish. Yeah, solid.
Tim
Love it.
Greg Miller
I gotta. I gotta commit. Get it done.
Blessing
Hunt Down.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I assume it's coming up the developers early trigger games. I click there. Yeah. Yeah. So Hunt down has been out since May 2021. Oh, so this is Hunt down overtime.
Blessing
So it just tricked out like I said it as a joke, but legitimately I did play Hunt Down. I forgot about that.
Greg Miller
It looks good. Is it good?
Blessing
Hunt down, the first one.
Mike
Yeah.
Blessing
It was pretty fun. Yeah.
Greg Miller
In the mayhem streets of the future where criminal gangs rule in cops fear.
Blessing
I bet you you probably played Hunt down also.
Greg Miller
No way.
Blessing
If you look on your PlayStation, I bet you you played Hunt Down. I'm like 60% sure.
Greg Miller
PSN profiles.
Andy
How old is this game?
Greg Miller
My trophies are hidden because of the sorrows.
Tim
Crazy. I feel like I've never seen this game.
Greg Miller
Me neither. This looks dope as shit.
Blessing
I feel like. Did it drop on PS plus chat?
Andy
I feel like this is something we did on ps. I love you. Yeah.
Blessing
I remember talking about this on P.S. i Love youe.
Andy
This definitely feels like a book club type game.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing
There's a good chance that this is a book club for us.
Greg Miller
Okay, we'll check it out. Get back to you by. I mean say that we won't do any of that. Continuing on this giant list of May 7th game, two point museum artifacts comes out to PC everywhere. Two point. Is you excited for that?
Mike
I mean, quick little nod. Two Point the museum. One in particular. Fantastic. Getting extra stuff in it. Getting a art exhibit inside the museum.
Tim
I love that.
Mike
Can't wait.
Greg Miller
Froggy Hates Snow comes to Switch. PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5. Evil Inside comes to PSVR 2 and Meta Quest 3. Yes, there are still games coming to those platforms.
Mike
Plugged mine in last night.
Greg Miller
What are you doing over there?
Mike
Might be playing a little beat saber, you know what I mean? Oh, plugged in last night. Had to boot it up.
Andy
Get that cardio going.
Greg Miller
Dread Neighbor comes to PC. War Drum comes to PC. Sunset Motel comes to PlayStation 5. Alien Strike blasting the intruders comes to PC Switch. Haneda Girl comes to Switch. Xbox and PlayStation. Kill it with Fire 2 comes to Switch. Aren't one of you voice actors?
Andy
Yeah, yeah. I played two different characters. And Kill It With Fire too. Go play it. It's a fun silly ass game.
Greg Miller
What is it about?
Andy
Well, Kill it with Fire one and Kill It With Fire two are both about spiders. And then you want to just Burn down your house. But part two really expands the whole idea of it where you end up, like, time traveling and doing a bunch of like, crazy shit. You end up, like, time traveling and going to a universe where spiders are like. They're all the people, the civilians. And you are walking around their gigantic. You're walking around their town like you're Godzilla and you're just a human and they're like all freaking out or whatever. But it's all about. It's very physics based. You throw shit, you light shit on fire. It's kind of like freaky at times if you're not super down with spiders, sure. But it's a fun little journey. And I play a newscaster in the town of Arachnophobia, or Arachnid. I forget the name of the town, but that's awesome. Yeah, very cool one.
Greg Miller
And I just.
Andy
I worked with Casey on the Ruby game.
Tim
Yeah, very cool.
Greg Miller
I just want to point out, obviously a lot of people listen to this show and a lot of people make video games listen to the show. We weren't going to talk about Kill it with Fire two until we remembered Andy's in the game. So maybe cast Andy in more games.
Andy
Maybe.
Greg Miller
Maybe cast Barrett more games. Maybe cast Blessing in more games.
Andy
Barrett in any games.
Greg Miller
May 8th sees Paxocratica come to PC and Hydro near Journey to Volcanitis.
Tim
Those two are going to do great.
Greg Miller
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X. SEO's off the fucking chart.
Tim
Figure it out, y'. All. What's up with these names, man? All you game something people can understand.
Mike
Mine's eye. Come on.
Greg Miller
It sells itself.
Andy
Volcalidus. That's a cool name.
Greg Miller
May 9th sees Corebreaker come out. Corebreaker is a fast paced action platformer game with roguelike elements. You are Nova, a robot awakened at the brink of humanity's extinction at the hands of machines. Your mission to save, search or destroy. The choice is yours. But you must get to the core first.
Tim
Recore. Like this game.
Blessing
Look.
Andy
Oh, my God. It is a recore. Like, wow. I thought this was Core Keeper.
Greg Miller
That's Core Breaker or Breaker. There's a different core. There's a game called.
Andy
Yeah, Core Keeper is a very popular sort of like Minecraft style game, but
Greg Miller
talk to me about this. Somebody put this on the list.
Andy
I don't know.
Blessing
It looks for. Yeah, when you started telling me to highlight things, I did.
Greg Miller
Okay, so you didn't know anything about it?
Blessing
No, I didn't know much about it.
Greg Miller
It looks dope.
Blessing
I just thought it looked cool.
Greg Miller
So yeah, it looks super, super cool.
Andy
Yeah.
Tim
Really neat art move set. Very cool.
Greg Miller
Yeah. If you're an audio listener, of course we're looking at what a 2D. It's got that. Not side scroller, but got hollow knightish to it in terms of what we're doing perspective wise, trying to give people a glimpse into it. That art doesn't look like that. The art looks way more.
Andy
A lot of awesome weapons. They're definitely highlighting what could make this roguelite fun. Whenever you hop into a run and go, oh, I got this starting weapon. Hell yeah. Let's expand and build upon this. This looks pretty rad.
Greg Miller
Yeah, it looks. Looks like got some shmup stuff going on there too, which I'm always a fan of. From there we go to May 11th. Battlestar Galactica. Scattered Hopes comes to PC. Battlestar Galactica. Scattered Hope is a story rich tactical roguelite with hard choices and intense space battles. You are a Gunstar captain leading a fleet of survivors, escaping the Cylon fleet's devastating onslaught on human. Onslaught on humankind. Admiral Adma, sorry if I got that wrong, has called for you to rejoin humanity's last hope, the Battlestar Galactica. Another one we highlighted here, obviously. Battlestar we know, popular with the folks. Does the description do anything for anybody?
Mike
Yeah, it tickles me just a little bit because I think of Homeworld 3 that I enjoyed. But I have no touchstones with Battlestar Galactica. So I think it might be a pass for me. But there's always something one day, Tim, when I'm ready to learn about Battlestar. Yeah, that's what jumps.
Andy
It was the Expanse before the Expanse, Mike.
Mike
Which is the one with the gate. Stargate.
Andy
Stargate.
Mike
That's not Battlestar.
Andy
No.
Greg Miller
May 11 also sees Green Hearth Necromancer come to the one, the only. The PC. May 12, however, sees Directive 8020 drop. This is of course PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. The next installment in the Dark Pictures anthology. The next Earth is dying and humanity is running out of time. 12 light years from home, Tau Ceti F offers a small sliver of hope. When the colony ship Cassiopeia crash lands on the planet, its crew soon realizes that they are far from being alone. Space death takes death takes many forms. Experience immersive cinematic storytelling and edge of your seat horror on a deep space mission to save humanity.
Blessing
Dude, I cannot wait.
Greg Miller
Cannot wait.
Blessing
We're back with Dark Pictures Anthology. I. I have a hot take. I'll save a hot take for a second. Very excited for this, right? The Fact that we're going to space was super massive. Really cool step for them. Can't wait to see how they've upgraded when it comes to dark pictures because those have been very hit or miss, especially in terms of quality and polish and those things.
Greg Miller
And this is the longest we've had. And it's interesting. I see it here. Directive 80 on the site says Dark Pictures anthology game or whatever or Dark Pictures game. The Steam description or Steam does not list it that way. And I know they backed away from that.
Blessing
That's what I was gonna. That was gonna be. My hot take is like, hey, drop the dark pictures. It's cleaner.
Greg Miller
I think they have.
Blessing
Okay.
Greg Miller
I really. I think it might be maybe some key art that has it there. But like on the Steam page, there's nothing about it.
Blessing
Okay. I think that's. That's the move. Because right now when I think of Supermassive and I think what has supermassive done?
Andy
Great.
Blessing
It's been until dawn forever ago. And then the quarry was a really great one.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing
Neither of those had dark pictures in the name. I associate dark pictures with not as much development time.
Greg Miller
Middling nine month cycles. Trying to try to.
Mike
You know, Tillsdale was good one.
Blessing
That was good.
Greg Miller
I like that one a lot. Favorite one. No. I'm excited for this. I what And I what like I think it was two years ago at sgf. I played this demo and I was like, oh man. There's a lot back then polished to what I expect out of a Dark Pictures game. So to have it here as we talked about in games daily. Right. In my space era right now.
Tim
Tao said he's having a moment.
Mike
Moment.
Tim
Man.
Greg Miller
I know.
Andy
So very big year for space marathon project. Hail Mary's everywhere.
Mike
I like that. Everybody's like, oh, big year for space. When I said it three weeks ago, the chat was like good for Mike for just naming space things. Like you chat.
Andy
We're all. Nobody remembers that.
Greg Miller
But you ripped me a new one.
Mike
Just so you know, we're having a moment.
Blessing
Who's on the show with you that day.
Mike
I'm super excited about this one as well. Bless. This is number six. My most anticipated. Because I'm worried about this one. This is one of those of like, hey, show me what you got again.
Greg Miller
Can they stick the land.
Mike
You had me a long time ago. You've lost me in the middle. Casting a Frank Stone. I did not play. That was their most recent super massive type style. Of course they had little nightmares as well. Don't forget about that One. But yeah, I'm excited to see if they can land this one for me.
Andy
Greg, when you play this, what about it made it seem like it would stand apart? Or are you just going, hopefully this is another good one of these?
Greg Miller
No, I'm dusty. Right. In terms of this, because two years ago, the preview, you could catch it on a gamescast from SGF back then. But if memory serves, it was production value in the way it looked. And then it was also the way we switched cameras between perspectives where it was like I wasn't locked into one person. I didn't get that awkward. Like, I'm switching over. I was in the middle of it. I was playing the movie kind of thing more. They were leaning into that a bit more. I remember hiding from the monster being scary. I remember the narrative being good. I like the performances and then getting to a thing where, you know, spoilers a little bit, I guess. But this is from a preview two years ago, right. Of like, the thing that's infesting your ship can change its shape. And so it was like dealing with who's the good guy, who's the bad guy. They're presenting a bunch of interesting things and branches.
Blessing
Really cool. My. My group chat was popping off about this too. I played what was the last one, the quarry with my friend group.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing
And that was like a fun two days for us of being like, yo, okay, what choices are we making? All right, pass the controller kind of thing. I hope this is able to emulate that experience as well. I hope they keep that intact.
Andy
Mike, you ever think you'll get invited to Blessings friend group?
Mike
Yeah, one day for magic, maybe. D and D. Oh, nice.
Andy
When are we going to make Nick do D and D? Come on. What are we doing?
Mike
Casting a Frankstone Dead by Daylight universe.
Blessing
I had to look it up.
Mike
Yeah, that was the Dead by Daylight one that was like, oh, you might be into this or not into to it.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Mike
If you know the.
Andy
Oh, with Red Guardian.
Blessing
Is he in that?
Andy
Oh, yeah.
Greg Miller
David Harbor.
Andy
Yeah, David Harbor.
Blessing
I know him from Stranger Things.
Greg Miller
Ah, yeah, I know. From the Burn from Lily Allen. But we move on. Also on May 12, call the Elder Gods. Set 30 years after the first game, players join Harry Everhart and Evangeline Drayton on a gripping journey to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of their loved ones. Call of the Elder Gods expands far beyond the island setting of its predecessor. Predecessor transporting players through time and space to the far corners of the world. The scene description is a bit more concise and a little bit More information joined in the far corners of Earth and on Earth. Yep. Ancient horrors in this Lovecraftian narrative puzzle adventure and sequel to 2020's critically acclaimed Call of the Sea.
Andy
All the sea is one I always wanted to get to because it just looked trippy, but it was also like a little spooky. And I'm surprised that this is already like a. Not necessarily a follow up or sequel or anything, but I'm very surprised that a new one is being made by them.
Greg Miller
I'm glad that they are able to, you know, capitalize on the success they found with Call the Sea and go somewhere different. You see the chat popping off. People excited for it over there. So not my kind of game at all. Puzzle Poppy. Is it doing anything for you?
Blessing
No.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Andy
It looks like mist. Kind of like a cool lobster. Oh, it's very Cthulhu.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah. Lovecraftian.
Andy
Come on.
Blessing
Little cosmic about Lovecraft the other day. Not a good guy.
Andy
No.
Tim
Y', all, there's some.
Andy
Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tim
Not look up his cat's name.
Blessing
Yeah.
Tim
It's insane.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Blessing
Turns out they used to be racist back then.
Greg Miller
Turns out stops and they put the racist thing on the cat.
Tim
Oh, my God.
Greg Miller
I don't like that.
Mike
No, not on the cat.
Blessing
If I tell you the cat's name and I told you the year in which the Lovecraft was around, you wouldn't be able to guess.
Mike
No.
Tim
Oh.
Blessing
Because it might bleed through the microphone.
Greg Miller
You can't whisper.
Andy
I mean, I can mute the microphones.
Blessing
Hold on. Lovecraft, cat name.
Mike
He's gonna look it up.
Blessing
This right here.
Greg Miller
When do you think? Damn. Damn.
Tim
Yeah, you expected, Right?
Blessing
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Well, the way you were setting it up. Yes. Whoa.
Andy
Oh. Oh. God damn.
Greg Miller
The way you were setting it up. I expected the first part, but the hyphen. Yeah, yeah. Changing gears on May 12th. You're also still seeing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming. Nintendo Switch 2. Oh, that's cool. Clockwork Ambrosia.
Tim
I'm excited for that. I mean, again, I am a huge supporter of third party games coming to Switch 2, and we're seeing major successes there. I'm very interested on the Xbox and specifically Bethesda side. We know Starfield's coming, and Starfield's had a lot of trouble running on PS5.
Greg Miller
Even struggle.
Tim
Right. What's that gonna look like on a Switch to? Probably not good, but I. I want to see what Indiana Jones does like. You know, this is a game that I do think could have an audience there.
Greg Miller
For sure.
Tim
It's gonna be the biggest hit of all time. But like, I'm interested in the reviews on this of like, how it runs on that hardware.
Andy
Did Indiana Jones have the sort of level of jank that we expect from like. I know it's not a Bethesda machine, but like, did it have a whole lot of Starfield issues when it launched with Weird. No, not at all.
Blessing
Okay.
Greg Miller
I mean, my review has a whole bunch of clips. Remember that girl who just kept screaming in the boat?
Blessing
No.
Greg Miller
I was. I was driving away and she was just screaming the entire time. Then she could have stopped screaming anytime I came back to the game.
Andy
But I remember this.
Greg Miller
I was wrong. It's a great game.
Blessing
I don't think I associate machine games with jank, though.
Mike
No.
Blessing
Was pretty.
Andy
Yeah. I guess I'm probably unfairly putting them under. I'm putting them under the Todd infect.
Greg Miller
The other studio May 12 also has Clockwork Ambrosia on PC. Nitrogen. It's Nitrogen Omega. PC, Xbox Switch and PlayStation 5. And then better than Dead on PC.
Mike
Keep an eye out for this.
Tim
Better Than Dead.
Mike
We're gonna see a lot more body cam shooters come out. We've seen some before, but I think we're gonna see more of them in the horror space. And the first person.
Blessing
This is one that I highlighted.
Mike
Keep an eye out for.
Blessing
And then I un. Highlighted. Highlighted it because I didn't know what to make of it because it looked.
Mike
It looks.
Blessing
It looks violent.
Mike
It's one of those of like. Yeah, the body cam stuff has been like kind of making its way out there. And it's very brutal and violent. A different angle than I think a lot of first person shooters.
Andy
Way too looking.
Mike
Way too Exactly.
Blessing
Unrelated.
Greg Miller
Damn. Yeah, they got the real sway.
Mike
Yeah. Well, we're gonna see more of this, so just keep an eye out. I think it's gonna turn a lot of people off. It might be that kind of next new look.
Greg Miller
This will be the one on the news.
Blessing
This feels like.
Greg Miller
Or video games too.
Blessing
Mortal Kombat, ready or not, had a
Mike
lot of contro at the beginning about that stuff. And so, yeah, I think you're gonna see more of these, so be ready for that.
Tim
I'm just seeing with the like mosaic of like the censoring of people's faces in that, like making it look like security footage.
Greg Miller
That's.
Andy
I.
Tim
Disturbing.
Blessing
Yeah.
Andy
I would like to call out nitrogen omega, which is something we saw at some sort of showcase, you know, in the last year, year and a half or whatever. But I was always really kind of stunned by the art style of it and how it's. It's a tactical rpg, which has never quite been my thing. But the anime art style of nitrogen omega is so sick. And inside of the cutscenes, like you're getting real time cutscenes with these 3D models that have a just a very cool, stylized look to it. It reminds me of when me and Tim really popped off about Battle Aces. About Battle Aces. Oh, and then we saw that it was just a.
Greg Miller
Whatever it is, I'm in.
Andy
Dude, I have such a funny. Oh my God. I met somebody who was on that team recently who was on the Battle Ace PR team or they were like doing PR for them and I was like oh my God, do I got a clip for you and re experiencing that clip of me and Tim being like I don't care what this is man, just give it to me. I'm in in this RTS like motherfucker.
Greg Miller

Feline forensic and the Meowsum Mystery. It's a museum, so it'd be Meow Zeum. I'm just bad at saying that when you lose the first part, of course this is made by a kind of funny best friend, everybody. So round of applause right there. The developer is. Nobody crowned. I forget the best friend's name. I always do. I'm sorry, but he's the one who did the mosaic of all the different stuff of the kind of funny references like 2 months ago for the Patreon thing. Joey hopefully is watching. He can tell me. Me however though, when the phone rings in the feline forensics department, that can only mean one thing. It's time to get your toe beans dirty. In this soft boiled detective puzzler, you assume the role of crime. A crime crushing noir tabby who's all out of catnip. With numerous layers of intrigue and conspiracy, you'll have to rely on sharp senses and your wisest whisker to uncover the truth in this Meowsium mystery.
Andy
Now this art style rocks.
Tim
It's very cool. Yeah, you see, I love the like, camera turn there. Like the perspective is awesome.
Greg Miller
We always talk about wanting a good detective game and we always talk about things like Golden Idol and stuff. Seeing similar ideas here, right? Of moving the words, setting up the stuff. This one looks super cool. Not just because it's a kind of funny best friend making it, but because the game looks rad. So I'm excited.
Mike
I don't have a last name.
Greg Miller
That's right. That's right.
Blessing
Eric.
Greg Miller
Something does check out. Sparrow. Yeah, right?
Blessing
That's cool.
Greg Miller
I was like, dave, did you pull that or. What's going on? Everybody go Wish list that right now. Feline for Forensics and the Meowsium Mystery. We then jump to May 14th. Outbound comes the Switch to PC, Xbox, Series X and PlayStation. Build your own home on wheels and live sustainably off grid. Craft workstations and power supplies. Source energy from the sun, wind or water. Upgrade and customize your vehicle, grow crops, automate your production and explore a colorful world. This is one we had seen again at multiple other things. I'm not the survival guy. I'm not the I want to build a base kind of guy. Something about this in the VW van, I'm like, I want to try.
Mike
If you like the raft, I think you're gonna like this game. For many of you out there, if you know survival Games. The raft is a survival game where you and your friends start on just one piece of plywood and you build out the raft around you. Right. It's more of a low key survival game. It's not over the top, overbearing, like intense, crazy missions. You are just kind of floating the ocean. You'll pull up on an island, grab supplies. You'll fight off a shark every now and then. This gives me the raft vibes of like, it's more on the cozy side. It's a slower survival game and a fun crafting time.
Greg Miller
I want to try it.
Andy
Yeah, we've been seeing a, a pretty big surge in survival games that your home base is mobile, whether you're building an airship or a land vehicle. And that's the home base instead of. Because I always run into the issue of like, well, I want to build this spaceship in no man's sky, but does that mean I'm not going to give a about whatever base I build on a planet? Like, sure, sure, going to be my kind of home or whatever. And so you've seen a lot of survival games go, well, let's make the thing that you're moving around and traversing your home. And that's how you build out the world.
Greg Miller
Looking forward to trying that one out. May 14th. May 14th also sees Road out comes to PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X, the Caribou trailer, not to be confused with Caribou Lou, PlayStation 5 and PC. And then the soldier one. Rum pineapple juice.
Mike
Come on.
Greg Miller
I didn't know you loved Tech9.
Mike
I told, I told him.
Andy
Oh, that's right, that's right. I was like, I remember you bringing up Tech Night and people being like. Or Tim was like, I didn't know you like Tech nine.
Greg Miller
That's it, man. Put Caribou Lou. I'm sorry. Put Caribou trail on the streaming thing. Let's make Caribou Lou. I'll Uber home.
Tim
I'll never forget when we were in Atlanta for MomoCon in our earliest days of Kind of Funny and it ended up being me, Greg and Nick. Tech9 invited us, amazing Greg to his show and we were, oh, out of place at this show. It was like, I've been to so many hip hop shows in my life. We did not belong there. It was hilarious.
Greg Miller
It's when we met Merz. It's when I learned about White Jesus, AKA Ritz. Come on now.
Tim
Oh my God.
Mike
You still got that connection.
Greg Miller
I think it's probably if he ever
Mike
comes back to town, I'm Gonna let you know.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Mike
So we should, we should all go.
Andy
I would never one hell of a show ever want to experience Nick at a hip hop concert.
Tim
Nick wearing a plaid like button up shirt. You know what I mean? Like it was just fucking hilarious.
Greg Miller
May 15th. We'll see the premium edition, but we'll just talk about it here. A Forza Horizon 6 arrive on Xbox and PC. I can't wait. I did all of you. You've all previewed it now, right? You've all played it? Yeah.
Andy
Oh yeah.
Tim
I only played like 15 minutes, but man, opening is sick as hell. Japan's awesome. Yeah, I just driving around like the thing about Forza is like the game's just fun. Like it's one of those rare games where you don't need to do anything.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim
Just playing it is the trip.
Mike
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Yeah. I can't wait. I. When the previews dropped, the preview bill dropped. It was right before my vacation, so I didn't even touch it. So I haven't touched Horizon. Yeah. Okay, good. Gold Gold Adventure Gold Gold Gold Adventure Gold comes to PC. And then Rugrats Retro Rewind Collection comes to PlayStation 5 and Switch. Also on May 15th. Rugrats Retro Rewind Collection is a compendium of six classic Rugrats titles featuring the iconic babies from the 90s.
Tim
Tim, do we know which ones? I don't. But what's really funny is like I like Rugrats games. Should have just been my. I don't think I ever actually played any of them.
Blessing
I did play them. So the ones that are going to be here are going to be Rugrats Search Reptar, the Rugrats movie, Rugrats Time Travelers, Rugrats Studio Tour, Rugrats in Paris, the movie, and Rugrats Cast.
Mike
Oh, I think that's a pretty solid lineup.
Blessing
Dude, when I tell you I played so much Rugrats in Paris growing up
Tim
because I had the N64 one, right?
Blessing
That was one of the ones on N64.
Tim
I did rent that once.
Blessing
Yeah, that one was like a mini game collection that took place in a theme park. I had three older sisters and so we were playing multiplayer in that all the time because the multiplayer was always this like mishmash of doing the different mini games. All of them sucked except for mini golf. Mini golf in Rugrats in Paris is a fucking blast. And so I'll be picking this up just so I can re experience mini golf in that specific game.
Greg Miller
Hell yeah.
Blessing
There's also a board game, NC4 Rugrats game that I forget which one it is, but I'm sure it's one of these.
Andy
Yeah, I'm trying to.
Blessing
It's probably search for. Search for a Reptar maybe.
Mike
No, I think that's the 3D platformer PS1 one.
Greg Miller
Ah.
Mike
I. That's the one that most people will probably envision like me when they think about it.
Blessing
Maybe it's not in here then. That's what's.
Andy
I see the COVID art though. It's that like. And it's that bottom left of Tommy
Greg Miller
wearing the like cowboy hat.
Blessing
Yes, Tommy cowboy hat.
Greg Miller
We're.
Andy
That's what we're trying to figure out.
Greg Miller
Oh, sorry.
Blessing
N64 board.
Mike
Oh, is that Scavenger Hunt? Is that. Are you calling that Rugrat?
Blessing
Rugrats Scavenger Hunt? Yes, I think that's correct. And that is not on here. That's upsetting.
Greg Miller
Huh?
Blessing
It's a miss.
Greg Miller
We move to May 18, Modern Naval Warfare comes to PC. Corsairs Battle of the Caribbean comes to PC. It reaches. Comes to PC and PlayStation 5. And then Shikondu Blue Pyta comes to PC. Then May 19, Forza Horizon 6 Normal drops on PlayStation or I'm sorry, Xbox and PC. And then Darksiders War Mastered Edition comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Tim
Fantastic name.
Greg Miller
I cannot believe we are still getting more. This is another re release of Darksiders.
Tim
Why not?
Greg Miller
Because it's just. I mean, God damn, man. God damn, man. This is for me. This is one of those people. It comes up, you know, what's a franchise you just can't believe is a franchise? It's Darksiders.
Tim
I know.
Greg Miller
I remember when Darksiders dropped at ignorance. Like, oh, it's kind of like Zelda and Mark Hamill's in it. Like, all right. And I played a little. I'm fine. No, and then I feel like there's only been two original Darksiders and they keep releasing them and remastering them. I don't know how this could happen.
Blessing
It was the third one.
Mike
They got a co op.
Blessing
They got the fourth one announced.
Mike
Yeah, me and Washy played the co op one.
Andy
You can think Alana Pierce. Alana loves Darksiders.
Greg Miller
Fucking Alana. Why is she always doing this to me?
Blessing
I think Darksiders 4 is a big deal going on.
Andy
I think it is. Yeah.
Tim
Yeah, I heard Darksider 6 is when it really gets good.
Greg Miller
Exactly. Yeah. That's really when we'll turn the corner. Can't wait for this to put another company out of business. We moved to May 20th rest in peace. Thq. Am I right, Tim?
Tim
Remember when they said it's the giant scythe?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim
It stabbed me in the back.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Mike
It was massive. Guys left it in a park.
Andy
That's right.
Greg Miller
We waited for our kind of funny best friend, I think. You know, you ever want to know like what it was like launching kind of funny when we just had a show that was unboxing random shit sent to us. And I will never forget you and me walking that across the street from the old apartment into Golden Gate Park. And we were in the crosswalk and I looked and there was Christine Steimer, a girlfriend at the time.
Mike
Right.
Greg Miller
Lived with us. Just shaking her head in the car stop as Yoamir is lugging his like 900 pound scythe into the goddamn woods. Good times. May 20th we'll see Thick as Thieves come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Thick as Thieves is a stealth action heist game playable solo or with a partner in crime in co op multiplayer. Master the art of thievery through cunning gameplay across a four hour campaign in this dynamic new take on stealth.
Andy
I love this because this is Warren Spector.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Andy
And Warren. And we, we saw it at some presentation.
Mike
I went to a preview event to this one. Not like win, but I watched this.
Andy
So they, they completely said we're not going to do PvE.
Blessing
PvP.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Mike
That's what it was. Andy. I was watching this and when he said co op, I was like, no, you're battling other teams.
Andy
Yeah.
Mike
And I, I said I knew. Walking out, I was like, I don't know about that.
Andy
They totally shifted the direction of this one. I think probably based on a lot of feedback from other people watching reactions and also just internally realizing this isn't the right call to require other people to be in a lobby with you. You're just gonna play by yourself or with friends.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Andy
And I think that's like the totally right move to not need to hop into a lobby and go, oh, this game's dead. Oh God, look at the concurrence.
Mike
It was gonna become a Hood Outlaws and Legends. Yes, it was the same kind of idea minus the combat of Hood Outlaws and Legends.
Greg Miller
Yeah, four hour campaign is exciting to me. But then I'm trying to. It's weird to me the Steam doesn't put prices up. Am I just stupid? Like, you know what I mean? Like when you come to Wish List and I'm on the Steam page, where would it just tell me the price?
Mike
No pre order available.
Greg Miller
No, no. And yeah, they wait Interesting.
Blessing
Yeah. Inspector. If it makes me money.
Mike
Yeah. Like this interesting part. Like if you're watching that trailer right there, that is the PvPve situation of other teams now colliding with you at the very end. You can see them all coming in at one moment.
Greg Miller
Five dollars. Oh, easy peasy.
Andy
Holy shit. Really?
Greg Miller
That's what the chat's saying? Two of them back to back. They can't both be lying.
Andy
Wow.
Blessing
This makes me want to play Dishonored.
Greg Miller
Yeah, man. The upcoming co op game thinks it will launch May 20th for 4.99.
Andy
That's insane.
Greg Miller
This introductory campaign from Other side Entertainment include. I'm reading the AI Summer. Actually, I shouldn't be doing that.
Andy
That's an Insta box.
Blessing
Introductory 100.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah. Here we go. Here we go. I'm on GamesPress.com yeah. 499. Alongside the pricing announcement, the studio also revealed future plans for Thickest Thieves Thieves, with this release acting as an introductory campaign with the intention of expanding the setting and stories across future content. The decision reflects the team's desire to bring players into the world sooner and to give the team the flexibility to develop additional content. Formed. I'm sorry. Informed by how players engage with the game.
Mike
Smart move. Yeah. I like it. Games like Escape Academy, of course, Escape Simulator, I think can be really fun. Like co op experiences with your friends, solving puzzles and then. Yeah, having an immersive sim kind of puzzle action. Would be a lot of fun together.
Blessing
Yeah.
Greg Miller
This introductory campaign will feature 16 missions set across two dynamic replayable maps, along with six pieces of Gears to unlock across the campaign that runs at least four hours. Huh?
Blessing
I like it.
Greg Miller
Let's play.
Blessing
I'm done.
Greg Miller
I want you to put that on the schedule.
Mike
I was gonna say, I think YouTube would be perfect. I'll put it on the schedule. I like that.
Greg Miller
Why we're puzzle. He's Puzzle Poppy on Puzzle Mommy.
Blessing
Puzzle Mom. Have a puzzle, baby.
Greg Miller
May 20 also sees Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Corps come to PC Early Access. Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Corps presents a fresh take on the familiar world of Deep Rock Galactic, blending it with the unpredictability of Rogue Light gameplay. Of course, everyone loves Deep Rock Galactic. It's one of those things that has exploded. They put it into different forms and genres, which I like a lot.
Andy
They have a vampire survivor style.
Mike
Yep, they do.
Greg Miller
That community is still so deep on it and so into it. If you don't know the Steam description goes, it's a one to four co op FPS action roguelike, featuring sci fi dwarves, alien Horrors and procedurally generated caves join the elite dwarven reclaimers as they fight through perilous mining facilities infested with deadly core Spawn for rock and stone, which we did this on a. P.S. i love you.
Blessing
This looks sick.
Greg Miller
Back in the day.
Andy
It's one of those franchises that I. It just missed me for whatever reason.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Andy
And every other multiverse. I am a big fan of Deep Rock Galactic because I love co op shooters. I love, you know, getting together with your friends and just trying to see how far you can go. And the act, the. The idea of them making this a rogue light with having the abilities pop up and it's still being a multiplayer shooter that's kind of keeping the same energy the of the initial version of Deep Rock Galactic looks rad.
Blessing
I love the art style a lot.
Greg Miller
Yeah, our style is great. And then I've seen a lot of people. There's a lot of drama in the Hell Divers community. Right. That I'm watching from afar after an AMA that didn't go over and people threatening to leave and review bombing. And so many of them are like uninstall and wait for Deep Rock Galactic. That'll be the savior. So if you're into that kind of game, there you go. That's happening there too. May 21. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book lands on Switch 2. One day on the island where Yoshi and his friends live, a peculiar talking book named Mr. E Suddenly Falls from the sky. This mysterious book books pages contain information about unusual creatures. So Yoshi decides to jump in and help investigate. Timothy, I haven't talked to you about this. Of course. Preview embargo had gone up for it. We had been invited but we declined because we were so busy and a lot of people walking away saying hey, it's not going to redefine anything. It's designed for a younger audience. But I enjoyed it. Where are you at with this one?
Tim
Yeah, I mean, you know, I'm very excited for it. I love Yoshi's Island. One of my favorite games of all time. And I feel like that high has never even been been close to hit since. There's been a lot of Yoshi games and I feel like at best they're derivative of that and at worst they're like pretty not good games. Some of them are like cool and the art styles are always interesting. Right. Like you look at Yoshi's crafted world, Yoshi's whirly world, like they're doing cool things. But the gameplay was just Yoshi's island gameplay but worse, this looks different. This has the unique look. Like, I love that it starts off with the more house style Nintendo look of Yoshi just being very generic on the. In on Yoshi's island, you see them all and they're more like CG forms that we're used to. And then they go into the book and it's this like beautiful art style. This is what I want to see from Nintendo for their main kind of characters is like, let me, let me see them look different. Not just that like new Super Mario Brothers look over and over. The previews got me kind of excited because they're comparing it a little bit to Super Mario 64 in the sense of it being a bit more exploratory. It does definitively seem aimed at kids. And that's always been a thing for the more, I mean, decades of Yoshi's games at this point. Yoshi's island, not that way. But this is very much charting kids. And something I think that is pretty cool there is you come across the different enemies and then in this Mr. E, the encyclopedia, like you get to name the enemies. So kids can name them whatever they want. Like they'll suggest what the thing's actually called, but you can call it a, a, A mic if you want or whatever.
Mike
And I think that that'd be fun.
Tim
To me, this game's coming out at the wrong time in my life. I wish this would come out like three years from now because like imagining playing this with Sammy would be awesome. I'm still very much looking forward to it, but my expectations are. I guess where I'm at right now is I hope it's better than Princess Peach Showtime.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Tim
And I don't know that it will be, but I hope it is.
Andy
Donald Glover. This is why. This is why you got a job.
Tim
Yeah.
Andy
As the voice of Yoshi. Because they are hoping. I hope they sell a lot of this because I want more and more kids to get into Mario and to stop playing Roblox.
Greg Miller
Ben, of course, obsessed with Mario Wonder. I'm so excited to get this code and introduce this to him because I know he'll flip for it. May 21 also sees Coffee Talk Tokyo come to PC Xbox Series X Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. Coffee Talk Tokyo is the newest entry in the beloved series. Set in a late night cafe in Tokyo. Brew drinks, meet humans and yokai and experience heartfelt stories in a cozy story rich world I had played way back in the day. I might have even platinumed Coffee Talk on Vita. I remember. So the Fact, this franchise continues to roll on awesome.
Blessing
Would you recommend it for me?
Tim
No.
Greg Miller
I mean I don't know anything about the new one but even going back to the old one, like I think I was like oh, that was cool for the time or whatever it was and I enjoyed the story but I don't. It didn't have a lack of lasting impact on me and I don't. You don't crave those kind of games. I feel like, you know what I mean in terms of just talky, talky, talky and but like without like a story. I'm not insulting your game taste but it's like it's up making your drink and doing this thing. You know what I mean?
Andy
Should I heard what he said about you in returnal? Greg is up. Yeah, I do turn on sorrows.
Blessing
I said a lot about you.
Andy
I know this guy sucks.
Greg Miller
Also coming out May 21st, Luna Abyss. Xbox, PC and PlayStation. Luna Abyss is eight single player story driven action adventure with fluid platforming and bullet hell combat. Follow the journey as Fox, a prisoner of Luna caught between a cryptic prophecy and their prison sentence.
Andy
This is exciting because I thought this game came out already.
Mike
We've seen this game.
Andy
We played it. Me and Blessing played it during one of our mix showcases I believe like two years ago, three years ago maybe. And I really enjoyed the vibe of it all. I think the visuals were awesome and it being this like they mentioned, like Greg mentioned, a bullet hell first person shooter, fast action, lots of jumping, double jumping, dashing. And I, I was just under the assumption this game came out already and I just sort of missed the boat on it. I'm really kind of stoked that it's fully, you know, releasing now. And I can't wait to hop into this. Looks rad. Very doom. Like very first person returnal. First person sorrows.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Also coming out May 21st, zero parades for dead spies on PC from the creators of Disco Elysium. Come zero parades. An espionage RP. You're a brilliant but tormented operant. Operant on one final desperate assignment. Gather your broken network, untangle a web of lies and prove yourself on the world stage. Or blow it all up again.
Blessing
What's funny is this wasn't on the release.com's website. Oh yeah. Like as we were going through I was like, wait a second, there's something missing. And I realized that disco or sorry, not disco zero Parades wasn't showing up. And so this is a big one. You know, it's the moment of truth for can this live up to the highs of what Disco Elysium brought. That's a game that came out and took a lot of the nerdy RPG world by storm, and that's one that I still think back on, is probably one of my favorite RPGs I've ever played. There has been a lot of interesting happenings at the studio, a lot of controversial turnover if you go into the gamesindustry biz articles and want to read about it. But for me, I have a little bit of trepidation going in because of that. How much of the core team of who made Disco Elise and what it was is still here to retain that energy in Zero parades? I hope that's there, right? I hope we're able to recreate magic, but either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how it is and how people
Greg Miller
will take to it 100%. May 22 sees Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight arrive on PlayStation, Switch, PC. Xbox isn't listed, but that can't be right.
Tim
I didn't realize that was so soon.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And is that. I'm not. I'm. I didn't pull this one. Thank you so much for the help. I know that there's early access to this if you buy the Deluxe edition. I'm not sure if that's what this is or if this is the full blown release date, but LEGO games, always fun.
Andy
I recognize that scene. I played Arkham sound.
Greg Miller
That's my big. My. From the announcements they've shown in the trailers we've seen for it. It's like, okay, like, I know what the LEGO games are. I like lego, obviously. I've reviewed a ton of LEGO games, but just playing the movies again, I don't know.
Mike
I got it, you know, LEGO meets Arkham City or.
Tim
No, I don't.
Greg Miller
I mean, from the stuff that we've
Andy
seen, at least in like, early, like, gameplay trailers, it seems less like a just straight up LEGO game. And like, again, from that reveal trailer, it was just like, oh, they're not making any Arkham games anymore. Fuck it, we'll do it. So I'm personally excited for this.
Greg Miller
Ben's gonna love it. So I'm excited on that front. And again, I like LEGO games, but it's just. I'll be. They need to have more than just, hey, we're playing the movies.
Andy
But I think again, from trailers, it
Greg Miller
seems like a combination.
Andy
It's not like a Skywalker Saga where, like, you're playing Episode one and then
Greg Miller
Episode two and stuff like that. But maybe I'm wrong.
Andy
But I don't know. I'm pumped for this.
Greg Miller
We will wait and see for May 22, when also Bubsy 4D comes out. Switch Xbox, Switch 2. The infamous wisecracking Bobcat has returned to 3D in a new platforming adventure. Bubsy is back with new challenges, new moves, and even more personality. Run, jump, glide and roll across alien planets. Battle robotic sheep and collect tons and tons of yolks. Yarn. What could possibly go wrong?
Tim
I'm hyped on this one. Someone here played it right.
Mike
We all know they were at gdc.
Blessing
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, they were here for the mix. Yeah.
Andy
The blessing. And I played for the. The mix. Yeah. I'm really stoked for this. This is actually the reason why I'm not playing Demon Tides because I don't want to like play Demon Tides going right into this. Like, I'm really just like jonesing for Bubsy right now, weirdly enough.
Blessing
Just because cuz yeah, the.
Andy
The mechanics and how it all feels of the kind of 3D platforming stuff just feels so good. That's what they should call the sequel Jones.
Blessing
And for Bubsy Jones, it reminds me of Penny's big breakaway. I don't know if you guys remember
Greg Miller
that from a couple years ago.
Blessing
Yeah. Yo, yo. Yeah. When I played this, it kind of has a similar sort of momentum based platforming style that I know really appeals to me. A Barrett, a Tim here who. Who love games like Mario Odyssey where you're diving and throwing your hat and doing all that to hop around the level. There's something about that that's just very satisfying and I think that very much feels like what they're going for here.
Greg Miller
So.
Andy
Yeah, and like the walkthrough that we got on that like little demo level that we played, seeing them kind of break down, like how they've thought about like speedrunning design as well, it just makes me really excited for all of the crazy kind of connections you can make with all. All of your platforming abilities.
Blessing
Mike on Septi with the idea of like, I feel like this would be a fun race. Like a. Yeah, Twitch Stream race.
Mike
I like that.
Greg Miller
May 25th sees paralives come to PC in early access. May 26th realm of Inc. PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. And then May 26th also has Lumen memories of Trey. Lumen Tail's memory of memories of Trey is a captivating monster collector RPG set in a beautiful and enchanting world World. Follow Trey as he embarks on an adventure to recover his missing memories and make new ones. In Anemon, the creatures look like Pokemon. Another lawsuit's incoming. We're waiting for the creatures to pop up. Oh, there they are. Oh, okay. I see what we're doing. Interesting. Interesting. Timothy, are you gonna play?
Mike
No.
Greg Miller
You don't want to catch these moms?
Tim
No.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Andy
That looks like a. Like a blue teddy, Ursa. Or like. Yeah, the smaller version. It's bone. I love. I love Greg going. Yep, I know that one.
Greg Miller
I. I know 10 years very well. Thank you very much.
Andy
Number 262.
Greg Miller
I was going to say that. Now we're just copy. That's just.
Andy
Now this is just.
Greg Miller
This is a lawsuit. This is a lawsuit we're looking at.
Andy
But it's also giving more Neopets vibes as well. I like them.
Blessing
I like them, too. I like this. Out of all the Pokemon copiers out there, I like the art direction of these.
Tim
They're trying to copy the black and white style, which is good like that. If you're going to copy Pokemon, like, copy the.
Mike
The.
Tim
The look we actually want to see.
Mike
Remember when we got after Pal World and it was like, man power. World's just so good, though.
Greg Miller
I do remember that.
Mike
It was just so good.
Blessing
The gameplay looks nothing like Pokemon, though. So maybe that's how they. Nope, never mind.
Greg Miller
Never mind. No, it's completely fucked. But not. Same exact thing. May 27th sees the big 1007 first slide. Come to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Where are we at with excitement, Andy?
Andy
I have never been the biggest Hitman dude. I feel like I would be if I just embrace it in my life. And I think a lot of. I think that's just character growth, Tim.
Greg Miller
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Andy
And I've also never been the biggest James Bond dude. I've always been. You know, if they called this Mission Impossible first light, I'd be, oh, my God, Ethan Hunt. We're gonna be Ethan Hunt in some video game. I'd be way more into it. However, when we saw the PC trailer for it, which was played after the fact because initially we saw it on PlayStation and it looked pretty rough. Granted, early in development, tons of stuff they could do to optimize, but, you know, it was struggling to get even 30 frames per second at times. Then we saw that, the Nvidia sort of showcase where we saw it on PC, I was like, holy, this looks amazing. And if we could get the level of improvisation that we have in Hitman with awesome set pieces and cool action, with, I don't know, give me a Cool story. Give me characters to care about. Give me. I want to be. I want to feel cool as James Bond. It could be awesome. But I'm also. You know, we've never really seen Hitman try to do that strong of a. Of a sort of like. Like, campaign with characters and being very led. So I'm. I'm. You know, I won't bite my tongue, but I'm still excited to give it a shot.
Greg Miller
Okay. Okay. Tim.
Andy
Yeah.
Tim
I mean, I'm really excited for it. I'm kind of in a very similar boat to Andy. But the more recent reveals for this have just gotten me more and more excited. Like, the actor of James Bond, like, that just hit me in a way where I'm just like, oh, this feels lesser than I would want it to.
Greg Miller
Okay, okay.
Tim
And no, nothing against him. It's just more like, I. I thought that this was going to be, like, a huge, let's make this a big deal type.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah.
Tim
I feel like every other choice since that has been what I expected.
Greg Miller
Lenny Kravitz is how you're gonna go my way.
Tim
Lana Del Rey doing the theme song. I'm just like, oh, hell yeah. Okay. So I. My biggest thing is, like, is the campaign gonna be stellar?
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim
But I'm hopeful, Mike.
Greg Miller
I turn to you, and I want to know where this is on the list.
Mike
Greg Miller. This is number one of the most anticipated games of the month. Bike Mike. Yeah. That's ahead of Forza Horizon 6 6, which is number two. But, man, oh, man, I love a James Bond game. Blessing growing up with GoldenEye.
Blessing
Oh, yeah.
Mike
You know, everything new one. Yeah.
Blessing
The world is not enough.
Greg Miller
The blue one's really the blue one.
Tim
They don't know about the blue one.
Mike
And so to have James Bond now back as a video game and, like, having IO Interactive behind it, I have a lot of hope and faith in this. I do really love Hitman. I don't think they've shown it very particularly well, but as Tim brought up. Right. Lana Del Rey on the track is awesome. Lenny Kravitz is just something that makes you smile and laugh. I think this game has a really good chance of actually being a lot better than we've anticipated and seen so far. So it's number one for a lot of reasons, but I am excited to play this game.
Tim
You see them throw him into the electricity. You see his skeleton.
Andy
That was awesome.
Greg Miller
Bless.
Blessing
I think IO Interactive is particularly underrated, and I hope that this. This proves that, you know what I mean? Like, I'm Obsessed with Hitman, Hitman, World of Assassination. I stand by it has the best stealth gameplay out there in a video game. And like, I think translating that to James Bond can make sense in a lot of ways. I. I hope this game ends up being more IO interactive. Infecting James Bond with what they excel at versus James Bond coming back and like watering down what got. You know, like, that's my hope for this game game. I think one of you guys said that they might not have shown it off particularly well. Maybe somebody in chat said that. I kind of agree with that so far. I'm hoping that changes. I.
Andy
That driving one was awful.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Mike
I mean, hands down. Or when they announced just the car and they were like, all right, see you later.
Blessing
Like, yeah, I. I hope that's more of just bad marketing. But I'm. I'm excited for it because I'm excited for anything. I owe interactive.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Hitman never connected with me. I've always respected Hitman. I know the talent of IO. I don't think James Bond has shown well in the things where we've shown up to react to it. This trailer looks dope as shit, so I'm hopeful. I love a good character action game. I love a good narrative. So if they can get that for me, I'll be stoked. But I am. I need. I need hands on the sticks. May 27 also sees Echo Generation 2 come to Xbox Series X and PC. Embark on a sci fi deck, building RPG Odyssey. Build your crew, master powerful decks and uncover the truth behind a growing cosmic threat. Deal the cards, defy the cosmos, embrace the adventure.
Mike
This is a cute one that looked kind of like Stranger Things with the fun pixel art. Nice to see them get a sequel. A chance at another swing. I think people might like this game if they give this a try. I think the first one kind of low key, people enjoyed it, but I don't think many people talk about that.
Greg Miller
Yeah, if you remember when they debuted this, I was like, I didn't understand what this was. And I went and looked into Echo Generation 1 downloaded on Game Pass. Never actually started it up, but that was definitely Stranger Things. You're in the neighborhood. So when I sat down at SGF and played Hacker Generation two and you start in a lab, I was like, oh, we're doing that version of Stranger Things. And going forward, it was enough for me where I was like, you know what? This isn't going to be for me. But it wasn't that. The game isn't good. May 28 See Bluey's quest for the gold pen. Come to PlayStation and Switch. Join Bluey on a fun filled quest for the gold pen in an original story by Blue E creator Joe Brum. A joyful experience for the whole family. This one came to Apple Arcade already and maybe even. Maybe it was. It's on mobile. Maybe because it's on Android too. I do believe I never tried it there. I do want to try it on consoles, slash PC or whatever because hell yeah. Like Bluey's great being it from the creator and I like that it's not trying to put you. We've already had Bluey the video game, which was not a good video game. This is. You are on the page. You are. If you watch the show, it's the cartoon versions of them doing their little story together. So. So yeah, it's an adorable art style. Again, I think it'll be one that I want to play with Ben, but I don't think. I don't know if it'll work for Ben because I don't know how much readings involved. I still haven't, you know, kicked the tires on the Apple Arcade version, let alone this. But this looks like a fun version of Bluey that I'd like to try. So that's good.
Mike
Is he still rocking Bluey? Where are we at with.
Greg Miller
I never really rocked Bluey. Mom and dad put Bluey on a lot and Bluey is just another cartoon to Ben. He's not getting the subtext and the parental stuff and yada yada yada. But he likes Bluey. Yes, he'll wear. He likes his Bluey, you know, know, sweatshirts and things like that. But he doesn't crave the show.
Andy
How many times was Ben looking down like playing with some random like, you know, Hot Wheels car while you and Jen were crying at the end of
Greg Miller
an episode of Lou? And often, very often. Yes, that is. That was very often. May 28 also sees lollipop chainsaw re pop comes to switch to Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. Come to Xbox and PlayStation. May 29th, my little puppy comes to PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. That's the one about. About you're a dead dog and you smell your owner in heaven. No, I've had it on PC forever. I still want to play it, but I need to be in a mood. We should just stream it on some Portillo anniversary and I play it there.
Mike
I want great content. You. I can't do that.
Greg Miller
Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition comes to switch to May 29th as well.
Blessing
Sorry, I'm watching the Trailer for my little puppy.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah, it's definitely. You're a corgi up in heaven. And yeah, you've already crossed the rainbow bridge and you smell your owner and now you go on an adventure to find.
Blessing
It's like the saddest game of all time.
Tim
Freaking.
Greg Miller
That's heartwarming.
Andy
You're going to meet.
Greg Miller
Be connected in heaven. You're going to be dead. Yeah. Who cares? It's more sad right now being here without Portillo.
Andy
Yeah.
Greg Miller
I feel like you're going to die tomorrow. See Porto be like, oh, cool. All right. I hope he has a fun adventure trying to get to me. Then off of releases.com there are four TBD or. I'm sorry, TBA. May Games. Subnautica 2 comes Xbox Series X and PC. Thanks to court documents and legal proceedings.
Blessing
I think the last update we got was that they were. The studio announced that the game was coming out in May. And then the court was like, you gotta reinstate the people that you fired. And I think they were like, they, the people on top want us to put it out in May. We don't want to put out. We don't want to put it out in May.
Greg Miller
There's weirdness around.
Mike
That's exactly right.
Greg Miller
I thought there was a sequel to it. I thought that was. I thought now those guys are reinstated. Like we're releasing in May.
Blessing
Is that the thing?
Greg Miller
I think they wanted to release? It was then that it was the Crafton.
Blessing
Because Craft. Yeah. Okay.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Blessing
Cuz I had it backwards.
Andy
Is that actually happening?
Blessing
Well, we. Tba. God, tba.
Andy
I wanted to happen so bad.
Blessing
I'm still thinking we got to play.
Mike
I can't wait much longer. Like, we dying to play this game.
Andy
We have been champing at the bit and holding off other possibilities to play Subnautica 1, which is a game that I just kind of hopped in here and there. But it's like we want a survival game for the streams me and Mike have been tossing around. You know, should we go back to. To Icarus? Should we bring back. You know, should we go back to Valheim or try out and shrouded now that it's almost hitting 1.0. This is. This has always been the one that we're like, once that one drops, that's the one that we just say, everything go away. We're gonna Play.
Greg Miller
I'm on PC Gamer.com Andy Chalk. The headline is Subnautica 2 set for early access release in May as Crafton signals surrender quote. We look forward to working with Ted Guild to support a smooth transition and work towards a successful launch. Okay, the lead Graph Just one day after taking a very hard L at the hands of the once and future leadership of Unknown Worlds, Krafton says Subnautica 2 will launch into early access in May. The release target was revealed in a statement shared with IGN that also appears to indicate that Krafton will not challenge the order that former Unknown World CEO Ted Gill will be restored to the role. Okay, yeah, so this is. It's the people who got fired coming back and saying no, no, we are putting it out because we've been trying to put it out for years or whatever it is. Also TBA unrailed two back on track. Switch PC switch to our type dimensions three everything and then Lunar Strike, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. And those are every game coming out in May 2026. Another great month. Oh yeah, a wish list here packed with games. Andy yeah, let me get some super chats in before we get out of here. I went to it doesn't matter. And of course you guys are going to do an NBA the Run gamescast plays that I'm very excited to hear about. But Joao Paul says tax for Tim's Tax for Tim taking my music recommendation and a friend was laid off today. I wish AI came where there is a human that wished not to be there. Parentheses dumb tasks and not where there isn't a human that wished to be there. Yeah yeah, good job on taking Tim's recommendation. I'm using now go listen to Ritz and then or the other way around. And then of course, yeah, sorry for your friend losing their job. Then Scarlet Libra who talked about Grandma in the beginning of the show, comes back with another super chat. Sorry about the crazy chat earlier. It wasn't crazy. It was just a turn. I understand. You gotta. You gotta put a lot of characters into a short super chat. I understand. Sorry for the crazy chat earlier. Just wanted to share something personal and also stay on topic for this podcast. Glad to have made you laugh. Meemaw Loved the Sean Bond movies. Sean Connery Bond movies. Watch some with her. That's a sweet little thing. I like that. And then yo, call me Rob says blessing as someone playing Sorrows, I think you're completely wrong about it being easy. I'm struggling, dog.
Blessing
Oh, turn off them carcos and modifiers.
Greg Miller
There you go. Have some fun with that, everybody.
Mike
I see you missed the game. Extreme Nickelodeon Tennis. Come on, Greg Miller. We're coming hot off of Mario Fever and you're not going to talk about Nickelodeon Extreme Temp.
Greg Miller
Why are you saying. Tell him you compiled the list and caught the one game that was. Was missed.
Mike
How did you miss.
Blessing
He just said. He said he sent me the list. I just.
Mike
How did we miss this? Bless. Come on now.
Andy
When we.
Blessing
I was going to bring this up
Andy
when we saw it on Games Daily though and this popped up. We're like ah, it looks bad. It doesn't.
Greg Miller
I mean what did you think? It looks bad.
Mike
What did you.
Andy
Yeah, like Mario the art style just looks like. Of an. Yes, thank you. It looks like it came out 20 years ago. Yeah, me and Barrett had the same exact thought of like this just looks like what how cell shading looked when it first came out. Yeah, this looks like legit. Some games that I played on PC
Greg Miller
back in like those games they are promoting 500.
Andy
Like maybe the game is fun and maybe it's got sauce. Like I see Zim there.
Mike
500 plus customizations for your build style. They're doing rackets, they're doing Mario Kart like builds here. It's going to be very interesting. I'm sure it will be trash Roger. You never know.
Andy
Mike Roger did not like that. They're just Umbrella including Garfield. And he's like Garfield's not a Nick tune. And I was like look, he's in the. He's in the family now. He's getting out of the barbecues.
Blessing
Although I'm kind of with him. Song I kind of.
Andy
Yeah. Ninja Turtles were never a Nick Tun either.
Blessing
No Ninja Turtles had a Nick cartoon.
Andy
No, but they were never a Nick tune. Yeah, but that.
Blessing
I mean I think it's different. Like you're a kid and you're watching food court argument. Garfield was not on TV when I was watching Nickelodeon. You know what I mean? TMNT would happen and show up and it's like okay, cool.
Tim
You were so young that there's no way, no way you were watching Nickelodeon and Ninja Turtles was.
Blessing
Oh yeah. Well I was wasn't but like it was okay. But I remember like I was starting to age out and then seeing TMNT pop up. So it was like a little bit after my time but I can still see it. I don't think Garfield ever showed up on the Nickelodeon.
Greg Miller
But he should have. You know, we all knew he should have been there.
Andy
He would have saved him.
Greg Miller

Podcast: Kinda Funny Gamescast: Video Game Podcast
Episode: Every Game Coming Out in May 2026
Date: April 29, 2026
Hosts: Greg Miller, Tim Gettys, Blessing Adeoye, Andy Cortez, Mike Howard
This episode is the Kinda Funny crew’s monthly roundup where they preview, analyze, and react to every major (and minor!) video game coming out in May 2026. The hosts—Greg, Tim, Blessing, Andy, and Mike—bring their signature banter, excitement, and deep gaming knowledge as they dive into dozens of titles spanning all platforms and genres. From big blockbusters to quirky indie debuts, the team highlights their must-plays, sleeper picks, and even a few "WTF is that?" moments. Whether you're looking for AAA releases or wild experimental new games, this comprehensive episode breaks down the biggest and most interesting games you can play in May 2026.
The May 2026 gaming calendar is packed to the gills—from major AAA blockbuster debuts like 007 First Light and Forza Horizon 6, to indie darlings and experimental shooters. The hosts are realistic about the time crunch gamers will face (Andy laments his enormous backlog), but the enthusiasm for discovery, new genres, and returning franchises is high. Moments of humor and off-topic asides (crazy video game names, Rugrats nostalgia, cat-name misadventures) keep the episode lively and relatable, especially for fans who've grown up alongside the hosts.
Above all: this is a celebration of gaming’s diversity right now. If you're looking to plan your May gaming calendar (or fill your Steam wishlist), this episode is the definitive, personality-driven guide—full of excitement, skepticism, and plenty of laughs.
