And I do think that the design has improved so much to make it look like A. Oh no, this is. We talk a lot about like Toy versus like, you know, modern device or whatever. Right. Piece of technology. I think Game Boy color is like the apex of this feel. This is a toy, but it's like a good ass design for a toy. Whereas I feel like Game Boy, the original is them just getting started with it. I think it still is held back by that design. That does make it look very brick like and like for me that isn't appealing to my eyes. Right.

This is a part of me. They really nailed it there.

I just don't like it.

That's the least of my problems. The least of my problems are the fonts with it. It's just the shape of it and the, the sort of body. Like when you see a car come out with a new body style and you're like, oh, I don't like the way the back of the trunk kind of goes with that back tire. I'm seeing these weird ass curves with the D pad. Like, it looks like it melted, like when someone was holding it. It's just odd.

I think design wise, the pocket being very clean and angular gets my vote. So I put this under the pocket.

I. I know where your design sensibilities lie because the Game Boy Pocket is the closest thing to the analog pocket, and they went for those sort of harder edges. This is. This looks like the next iteration going up from the Game Boy standard. This doesn't look like it. This looks like this came out right after the original Game Boy because of all the curved edges. But I think the color variety is something that cannot be denied. There are so many different things you can get here, and I'd argue A or S for me. I don't know exactly where I'd put it right now. It's a cool little added thing to the way the hard the hardware feels. I think the Game Boy Pocket may look cool because of the font they use. I don't love the colorful color. Yeah, I understand why they did that, but. Oh, this is. This one's a really tough one already.

The SEGA Channel, right, where you plugged it in, you dialed it to dial up. You had all the, you know, Genesis games you wanted at the touch of your fingers. It was all there. They were ahead of the game. And yeah, the Nomad was take your Genesis games on the road.

So, again, to give you more context for all of this, which I think is important, remember that this came out after the launch of the Sega Saturn. So you're talking about why didn't I pick it up, right? It was the fact that, well, I was already on the path to Saturn at that point.

I already. I'd already been tricked into getting a Saturn at that point point. So I was already done with my Genesis at that point. I probably traded all my stuff into Funko land. The cool thing about the Nomad as well, though, was it did have a TV out so you could play Genesis.

But where. Where the 3DS XL gets points is the uniformed going up when you open up the clamshell. And seeing the curves when you open up the 2ds XL, like, the bottom portion of it, those curves and then the top screen, seeing those curves. Like, I love that the 3ds XL is just one straight line. And seeing that kind of breakup reminds me of what I didn't like about the PSP. Go. When you open it up and it just looks kind of uneven.

I do think that, like, while the bezel looks better here because it's the color instead of just being black, I still think that there's, like, a better use of the real estate for the screen. And also, it not being OLED is a major problem.

But, yeah, like, the button placement does kind of look weird when you're looking at it for the first time. The thing that I still do like about it is that, you know, it reminds me of, like, watching a commercial about, like, you know, American engineering, talking about, like, you know, Ford Auto. I'm looking at this and I'm like, this is a machine.

You know what I mean? Like, this is a fucking pickup truck of a console. It is a Steam machine, right? And, like, I like it. I feel it. I pick it up and I'm like, this is powerful right here. I'm playing with power.

The face buttons are. And I feel like they had to design the back paddles to make up for where they had to put the face buttons. Also with the. The, like, I get the touch pads. They always, like, they always get in the way. I always accidentally press them.
