Greg Miller
But also another shout out to Greg. Shout out to our Supergirl reacts. The teaser trailer is out there.

For now, let's start with the topic of the show. Topic of the show of course, the Game Awards 2025. What did we think? Snowbike Mike, I want to start with you Tim.
Snowbike Mike
I'll kick it off. Man. I loved it. Jeff Keeley and their team absolutely showed up and showed out. This was a fantastic show from start to finish. They started very with a great opening number, a really strong speech and just never looked back. We had some really fun, wicked awesome game announcements that I know we're going to talk about. From Star wars to more Star Wars. It was crazy. Ace Combat's taken to the skies. I'm pumped up about all the games that we got to see. Divinity looking very cool as well. I'm excited for Larry and to get back in their bag on that one. But most importantly the awards we got. Nobody rushed off stage. Everybody was able.
Tim Gettys
I didn't even think about that.
Snowbike Mike
Fantastic. Jeff had some fun with Miss Piggy which made me smile the whole time. And we also saw a team behind Expedition 33 get the flowers they deserve. They made a special game and they ran away with this award show and they deserved all the love and credit. And there was a lot of great games that deserved a lot of love. A lot of games that got to shine. But you know there could only be one and Expedition 33 really shined this year.
Greg Miller
What would you give it on the kind of funny scale I'm going to
Snowbike Mike
Give that a solid nine out of ten. It was great. It was amazing. It was perfect. Right? Like it's not a masterpiece. It's not good. It's great. All capitals great. Amazing. Whatever you want to put on it. 9 out of 10.
Greg Miller
I love you so much.
Blessing
Right.
Snowbike Mike
Kick. Thank you.
Greg Miller
Let's go to Andy Cortez.
Blessing
I loved it. I thought I did great also.
Greg Miller
You did.
Blessing
Thank you.
Greg Miller
You did really, really good as the Voice of Sorrows.
Blessing
Yeah. Crushed the release date for Phantom Blade zero also. That was pretty awesome. I thought they had a lot of banger ass announcements. Thought it lost a little bit of steam near the end. I don't love that. The last game that we saw was that multiplayer game. Was hoping that there would be one more big thing that, that seems like a really cool, like penultimate sort of announcement. Like, oh, this is a big deal because of who worked on this. But other than that, man, like I, I'm ex. I'm exhausted because it was so long. But like, I just have so much fun doing this. And thank you to everybody for supporting us doing this. I would give this, I give this like a. I give this a 9 out of 10 as well. And I think a lot of it comes down to Star wars and control. That, like those games I was not expecting, I mean, maybe control because of the, the copyright thing or the trademark that happened, but it still like blew away my expectations for how it looked visually. And yeah, I just had an awesome time.
Tim Gettys
Remember Remedy's number one fan, Roger saw it, so come on and talk about it later.
Blessing
I don't know if I'm being trolled
Greg Miller
about this or not. I still don't really know what is happening here.
Snowbike Mike
I know.
Greg Miller
Greg, can you officially, like, can you explain what is happening with.
Tim Gettys
Sure. They hit me up and said, would someone like to see an unannounced Remedy game? And I said, yeah, you know, this Roger kid's obsessed with them. And I sent him over there and
Greg Miller
none of us do about this.
Tim Gettys
Do I want to ruin game awards?
Roger
I don't know.
Tim Gettys
Do you understand how much stuff gets sent in here that I can't say to you? I can't spread the virus. Then you can't. Nobody makes predictions. Nobody makes predictions out there. Terrible content. Terrible.
Greg Miller
You're right. I guess you're right.
Blessing
That is true. I guess.
Greg Miller
So let's go to you next. What do you think about this Game Awards?
Roger
Yeah, I thought it was great. I thought it was a really fun time. I don't think this was necessarily the best Game Awards. Right. And I think that just comes down to the level of announcements. And that's not something that's in Jeff's hands necessarily. You know, games are. The games that are ready are going to be the games that are ready on any given year. And so pacing wise, I think for the, for the first, I'd say 80% of this show, the best paced game awards, I think the way in which they had the good mixture of great musical numbers, Evanescence coming through. Right. The Shout out to the Devil May Cry TV show, you know, the awards, the, the. I want to say the speeches being exciting, even though they're all Expedition 33 for the most part. But even that, Right. Being like a fun part of it. And then also the announcements, I think keeping us engaged. That first 80% paced really well. I think it dropped off heavily in that last 20%. And that can. I think that comes down to the. I think that final announcement not hitting as far as it being that. One more thing. The final world premiere. And I think it's kind of bizarre because when you look at on paper what was announced, you know, I don't understand why you don't just open with divinity and close with Star wars or open with control and close with divinity or like you had, you had the bangers here. I think the way you position them a little bit weird in, in the way that they came down in this show. But overall though, I think it was a good time. Right. Like, I enjoyed the new announcements we got here. Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic, of course, banger announcement. Star Wars Galactic Racer, a fun surprise that has fans of that type of game really excited. Right. As somebody who loves Star Wars Racer, really looking forward to that. And overall it was just fun to react to trailers and hang out here. I would give it an 8 out of 10 if I had to give it a score.
Blessing
Tim. This should be a 10 though. If you told me that Mega man is coming back.
Greg Miller
I know.
Blessing
And it was just a little. It was disappointing.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah.
Greg Miller
I mean, I'll go next there right where I, I say this is amazing. Like, I don't know that I need to say. Was it the best game awards of all time? I do think it's between this and last year. I think that the final 20% here, it was a pacing thing and I do feel like there was just money involved there with some of the, like the final game revealed. That felt like a kind of like pay to play type thing. It coming out in January. Good news, right? I do like the framing of. Hey, Sometimes we announce exciting games that are way far out there. This one's the next month. That's very cool. But it did kind of feel a little like okay, you wouldn't have chose to end with that, right? With the. The banger show that you did have going into that. And Mega man was so exciting. Another reason my voice is gone. I can't believe it. Like we heard Dr. Wily's theme. The build up. They. They did what they did for Okami last year. Like let's have this right before the Game of the Year announcement. We're going to have the orchestra play some music and lead you into this like epic reveal from a returning legend. And it's fucking Mega Man. And then you're just like, oh It's. It's another 2D Mega man game in the like 2.5 D 3D type looking thing. I'm like obviously hyped for it for what it is. That didn't deserve that much of a reveal. That that was something that we needed a like Mega man is back in a way you've never seen him before.
Tim Gettys
Sure.
Greg Miller
We needed a. Like I'm holding this. I'm actually holding to this. Like I'm not exaggerating. We needed a God of war 2018 moment for mega man for whatever that means. And with. Especially with that buildup and hype at the end of this show. We didn't get that. So I don't know if I already said this. I. 9 out of 10amazing for it. So many games that I'm excited about. So many moments I'm excited about. I think there are easily the most things I. I didn't take notes on every single thing. Normally I write down all of it. But Greg was doing a good job in the doc of getting all the details.
Tim Gettys
I'll tell you straight up right now. This is the best notes I've ever done. For real. Have links to every stand page. You have the fucking crush you locked in.
Greg Miller
Which allowed me to only write down the things I actually cared about. And you can see this good news. That's a long list.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Greg Miller
So there was a lot that spoke to me. Even like Bradley the Badger. Fun surprise talent that we're like super hyped about. And a similar game to that from last year or recent event which was out of words. It's back here. I'm excited to see that again. Phantom Blade zero. Getting a release date. Very excited about that. The genuine oh my God, I would have never seen it coming surprise of Galactic Racer. So cool and The Tomb Raiders I think look fantastic. Street Fighter. That entire thing was like that's what I live for. I love this type of like if you're going to have fun with these hype things and bring out celebrities, do it that way. You know. I think that this is easily the best pace show. It's not perfectly paced but this is the best pace game awards we've ever had. Even with a couple mistakes at the end there. And Resident Evil Requiem. Fantastic. Star Wars Fate of the old Republic.
Tim Gettys
Wow.
Greg Miller
Out of all the Star wars guesses we could have had that is best case scenario. I can't believe it. This was awesome. And I feel like Jeff has been crushing it with the show the last couple years. I can't wait for more. I don't know how they're going to keep this up. I don't know that it's possible and that's okay. But the last two years.
Tim Gettys
Who?
Greg Miller
Greg Miller.
Roger
Oh, sorry, I didn't know. I didn't realize Greg didn't go.
Tim Gettys
Greg, if you want to piggyback off what he's saying, feel free.
Roger
No, I just wanted to introduce something new. Oh sure.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. I think this is a great game awards. I say 8.5 for me right between the bless 8 and everybody else's 9 for me. Looking back and going through it I think it's similar to what you and I were talking about on Games Daily and just the general of like I feel like so much of this we were getting and it wasn't that ah like there weren't enough of the like don't get me wrong. Star Wars Fate of the old Republic. I can't the you the reaction is going not viral but a lot of people are liking or whatever and it's like the oh Star wars. Oh old Robo. Ah Casey Huds. Like Casey Hudson being back is so huge. But one of the notes I've dropped in there is from the Star Wars Q A where they're like we're in the early stages of development. So I was like cool. This is vaporware. And will I ever. Is Ben gonna be playing this in 10 years or will I you know like what, whatever. I'm excited for it tonight for me that's the biggest announcement of this game Awards. There's other stuff in there that was really great but I don't think there was enough for me. That was amazing and I feel like Mega Man's a pretty great example of that of like here's this really cool. All right. It's Mega Man. It's like, yeah, Mega Man's back and you know, Omega man gave me. That's cool. I'm not mad at that. But it's just like, okay, okay.
Blessing
Could you imagine if it was the side scrolling view and then the camera zooms in and then it's fun running.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Blessing
Damn.
Roger
Yeah. I wanted to come back around because I wanted to shout at the Street Fighter moment. I thought that was really fun. Obviously, like not my perfect moment based on who's on stage and all that stuff. But like, regardless, I think having that many people on stage and having just fun, weird celebrity interactions and introducing a trailer that, you know, I agree with you, Tim. You said on the thing. I think that was a phenomenal trailer. I think the action in there looks fun. I'm really looking forward to the Street Fighter movie. And I think an important thing for an award show to do, especially an award show that's now been going this long, is to create moments. Right. We remember award shows for moments and I think for me that was one that's going to stick as far as. Damn. Oh, they got this person. Oh, they got Cody Rhodes. Oh, they got Sentineo.
Snowbike Mike
Right.
Roger
Like this is fun. I think that was such a fun one. And then I also just wanted to shout out the Game Changers segment the girl makes.
Tim Gettys
That was awesome.
Roger
This is the second time they've done the Game Changers thing. I think they're two for two. I think these have both been phenomenal. It's a great replacement for what they did with Future Class. Right. Which I think kind of landed on being a flop overall. Here we have something I think is a bit more focused, a bit more highlighting of. Hey, here are really cool things people are doing in the industry. Let's put them on stage, let's let them talk. Let's you know, show a video of what this is so you can be aware and support it if you want to.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, we want to recap the entire thing. We want to dive in more. We do have something breaking to watch right here. It is the actual trailer from Claire Obscure and the thank you DLC they put out. So I would like we could live react.
Greg Miller
This is well amazing.
Tim Gettys
That's PlayStation posted 15 minutes ago. This one Kevin is prepping.
Greg Miller
Kids have quite the imagination now.
Blessing
Yeah, me too.
Tim Gettys
Wow.
Snowbike Mike
Wow. He never showed it to me.
Greg Miller
Look at the outfits. His private hideout and he wanted to escape.
Blessing
Oh, it's an ska outfit.
Tim Gettys
I.
Roger
Whoa.
Snowbike Mike
So cool.
Greg Miller
Holy. Nice try
Tim Gettys
on God,
Blessing
that stuff.
Snowbike Mike
Holy
Greg Miller
magician outfit.
Snowbike Mike
Candy hands.
Andy Cortez
Photo.
Tim Gettys
What?
Greg Miller
That's cool
Tim Gettys
you're an artist.
Snowbike Mike
Oh my God.
Blessing
I don't gotta around with mods anymore. Yes.
Tim Gettys
God, that's awesome. Get Jack Quay to the phone. Right.
Blessing
Oh, yes.
Tim Gettys
Your YouTube description reads, Tomorrow comes in Verso's drafts. Rejoin the expedition on another journey through the whimsical hideout of a young Verso in a landcrafted through through joy and innocence. Our gratitude for this community goes far beyond what we're able to express, but this update should hopefully serve as our way of saying thank you.
Blessing
Oh man, I'm gonna finally fight Simon. I never fought him.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah. Oh, nice.
Greg Miller
You know who did? All of my friends. All of them. Curran, Vincent James. All of them have platinum expedition crazy. But yeah. Hey, this looks fucking rad. A little starry night action, a little children's painting. I love it.
Blessing
Very, very cool. Running on a xylophone, all the different costumes.
Snowbike Mike
What a way to celebrate.
Blessing
This is awesome.
Roger
Really cool.
Snowbike Mike
Want to jump on really quick before we go into all the games? Really quick. Two shout outs. The celebrity appearances were all fantastic. You brought up Street Fighter. But Lenny Kravitz and Iowa Interactive God star and James Bond is crazy, right? Like that was awesome. Now having another elusive target in Hitman. Like so much fun. And then finally the game of the game of the year Melody. That song was fantastic. It all flowed. Every single one of them. You could feel the beat, you could feel the music. Flute guy was going crazy.
Greg Miller
Oh yeah, he was.
Snowbike Mike
He was playing things. I don't even think we're in instruments. It was crazy. That was so good.
Greg Miller
Where you Scraggless getting too big for his britches now. I need y' all to know you need to see this man live. Cuz he's not showing up for the camera. That's just who this man is. I saw him with no less. And I'm not kidding. 12 instruments on him at one time and he's on stage standing there flipping them out. He does this at every show. It's his.
Roger
Very talented, but doing too much, you know.
Greg Miller
Keep doing you, Pedro. Keep doing you.
Roger
I'll come back around next.
Tim Gettys
You want me to email somebody about getting him an interview with.
Greg Miller
Okay, yes, please do.
Tim Gettys
Great.
Greg Miller
I would love that. All right. I think we should get into every single thing that we saw. Starting with the pre show. Starting with the free shepherd. Let's heard some sheep. 2027. I think that was a big surprise. A little bit later than we would have expected for how this game looked immediately. Pretty cool looking, but it had a nice eco vibe. Slash out of the Colossus vibe, but also not, you know.
Roger
Yeah, it's like we took that and like what's the. Is it hurdling? The hurting game? We took that and combined it with maybe that game. Right. I do love that you are playing as an actual dog. Hurt. Are you hurting in this game?
Tim Gettys
Is that the whole game?
Roger
Okay.
Tim Gettys
And you're hurting the Steam page about this the Free shepherd is a single player atmospheric adventure where you are an energetic and loyal sheepdog. Run fast and free in a beautiful but troubled world. Herd masses of lost sheep to a secret refuge. Discover a mysterious calamity that only. Only you can stop.
Roger
I with it.
Snowbike Mike
I like it.
Blessing
There are. This is so unfortunate because there's some. It looks great. There's a. There are some kind of funny community members working on a game called Hounded. And it is a black and white like one of those dogs, like almost looks identical. At first I was like, this doesn't quite look like the game that they've been working.
Tim Gettys
I've seen this.
Blessing
Yeah. But yeah, that. It's kind of crazy. It's like the same sort of color scheme.
Tim Gettys
Hounded. You are Duke, a determined young border collie who is searching for their lost master, the leader of the rebellion. Hounded by a cunning Hun. You can track. I'm sorry, can you track the scent? Unearth the power of the tide and find your way home.
Blessing
Hounded. Meant to be a lot more like stray in. In how it's more like behind the third person, you know, or behind the back third dog, I guess.
Tim Gettys
Third dog, third canine. I got that third dog in me.
Blessing
Yeah.
Greg Miller
The next game was Decrepit. It's a roguelike Decrepit. It's a first person action game with souls like combat where every death drags you back into the depths. Learn the dungeon, master the combat and find your way out of the forsaken castle.
Blessing
This looks scary as.
Tim Gettys
Very scary.
Blessing
Like this is too scary of like. Especially because it's first person. If it were a third person kind of souls thing, I, you know, maybe I don't have to be right up in these ugly ass things faces, but this looks terrifying.
Tim Gettys
See what I liked about it is somebody who's not a souls guy. The first person gave me such like Skyrim, you know what I mean? Like avowed vibes. I'm like, I feel like maybe I'd want To play this a bit more
Blessing
personally, when that one dude was crawling on the ground, like, I don't want to see that coming at me.
Tim Gettys
Oh, yeah.
Blessing
Did you turn away because of the jaw thing? Bus?
Roger
I turned away because half the things in the straight.
Blessing
Oh, yeah.
Tim Gettys
I'm gonna get a Coca Cola.
Blessing
Keep it plain though, Kevin, because I really just. I do kind of want to see this man crawling. I mean, see if I have the same vision.
Snowbike Mike
I don't like that.
Roger
I don't like that.
Greg Miller
You're out.
Blessing
Hate it.
Snowbike Mike
I think they got something with this one. Yeah, keep an eye on that.
Blessing
Yeah, this looks cool.
Snowbike Mike
I think for my souls, boys, over here. I think we got something here.
Blessing
What's the other game with all the wet men?
Greg Miller
Oh, wet, like a short word.
Blessing
Ill. Ill.
Roger
I think you're right.
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger
A lot of.
Blessing
A lot of big white men or wet white men.
Greg Miller
Next up, we had Audio Mech. I thought this looked pretty cool. The demo is tomorrow. Your music paints the world and controls the action. Each of the next three forms, Bass Night, Vocal Gunship, and Treble Bomber, react to any audio, even streaming songs. Pretty cool. From the creator of Audio Surf.
Blessing
I never heard of that.
Greg Miller
I've heard of it, but, like, I can't picture it in my.
Tim Gettys
There's an Audio Surf 1 and 2 on Steam.
Greg Miller
Yeah, okay. I. I really liked the. The look of this, but I'm not the biggest fan of like, procedurally generated music, rhythm games, so we'll see.
Roger
But I didn't know that was a genre.
Greg Miller
Well, I mean, if it reacts to any audio, like.
Roger
Oh, you're right.
Greg Miller
You know, then we got Pragmata. Yeah, a little bit off about which game. We get the demo tonight, but we Got Pragmata playable April 24th release date. And switch two. Pretty cool. We already saw Capcom supporting the Nintendo Switch 2 with a plethora of Resident Evil games, including 7, 8, and 9, all on the same date when 9 launches next February 27th. But yeah, April 24th day and dates across all the platforms. Very different looking trailer and different in the way of kind of going back to what originally was with the. The teaser. But this was. Is kind of heartwarming to see because I think we were a little concerned we were going to be stuck in this 100.
Tim Gettys
You know, I played at SGF, was shocked at how much I loved that demo for how 7.5 it is. And then, yeah, my concern was, am I going to be in the sterile space station forever seeing it out in the ground, which looks like some kind of you know, whatever destroyed Manhattan or what. I was like, hell yeah, I'd love to do this. I hope we get some more cool environments, we get some more cool things to fight, more things to hack.
Blessing
Andy, remember when he teaches her to do a high five? That was so cute, man. Yeah, I mean, I, I think I'm gonna have like a blast with this game. This just kind of seems right up my alley. I'm. I'm downloading the demo as we speak. But yeah, I. It does kind of seem like almost direct feedback based on what most of us were saying, like, are we going to be on this kind of derelict alien looking spaceship the whole time? And them going, actually there's other to show off. Pretty cool.
Greg Miller
Then we had Solosta 2. It was just an ad, but the date was new. Ben Starr is in its early access is March 12, 2026.
Tim Gettys
Exciting. This is one that like watching I was like, oh, this looks cool. And then it was already on the wish list and I was like, okay, cool. When I got in there having a date for Early Access. Great.
Blessing
Yeah, we definitely saw it at some other showcase. I do, I do kind of remember us having the. Yeah, it is kind of cool seeing somebody also trying to do the Baldur's Gate. Yeah, the higher kind of level of budget for that Baldur's Gate has. So yeah, seems fascinating.
Greg Miller
Then the announcement of the opening act, as far as I'm concerned, Bradley the Badger, featuring Badger Born the last Badger and Cyber Badger. It's from a new studio, Day for Night. Bradley, the beloved platforming icon finds himself lost in strange new lands and decides to fight back. Shape unfinished worlds with your game developer powers, explore a genre bending story and save your home in this unique action adventure. You can wish list now. Evan Peters is the actor in it and Day. Fortnite Studios was founded in 2024 by Christian Cantamesa, lead designer and co writer of Red Dead Redemption, and David Solani, the creative lead on Mario plus Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope. They both serve as co directors of Cool. And my God, every single thing there that we saw that I read, that looks awesome. My one hesitation was I don't love the character design necessarily, but as the trailer went on and we saw kind of different looks and like the meta ness of it all, I'm like, oh, I'm, I'm so here for this.
Tim Gettys
But yeah, for me, this is number two with a bullet right behind Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic, which I don't think I may ever play. This one is the One where I was like, holy. Like, this looks awesome. I love this kind of thing. I love this homage not only to other video games, but platforming and then obviously the entire industry, the game dev tools being in there. This, the weird narrative clearly of hopping out of the VR world that you're clearly in to talk to the guy who put you back in. Like, there's something going on there I like. And with Christian behind it, I'm stoked to see it.
Blessing
Yeah, I love all the missing textures of just the checkerboard stuff whenever something's not loaded in. Yeah, very cool. I'm sure we'll get like. I wonder if we actually will kind of get FMV stuff like this.
Roger
Oh, yeah, yeah, that'd be sick.
Greg Miller
I mean, I think that's why the Evan Peters is involved, right?
Blessing
Oh, but he's the voice. I thought he was the voice of the guy.
Greg Miller
I think we see him.
Tim Gettys
Well, right there. Do we see him?
Roger
Yeah, it's definitely a top three announcement of the. Of the whole show for me.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Roger
This is one I cannot wait for.
Greg Miller
And then to end out the opening act we had Stupid Never Dies. This is the Pop Punk Zombies and snipers game 2026 on PS5 and Steam. Werewolves, Lizardmen, skeletons. In a world where monsters are part of everyday life, a bottom rung zombie named Davey braves a deadly dungeon to bring back Julia, the frozen human he loves. Gear up for delightfully wild, blazing, fast growth action RPG Stupid Never Dies.
Roger
The the action game fan, and specifically both the Suda 5. One fan and hi Fi Rush fan in me should like this a lot more than I did. I think this trailer was almost there. The musical number was fun, but maybe went too long. And even when we saw the gameplay, like I wasn't blown away by what I. What we saw here. But even still, I'm like, I would play this. This looks fun. It just wasn't like a standout as
Tim Gettys
far as how it presented as a zombie guy, as a pop punk guy, as, you know, these different things. It's one to keep my eye on. That's where I think I am. Right. This is like the. This is the great use of the Steam wish list of clicking this. Like, I want to see where this is going. Because again, this could either go, yeah, I want to play this or I never touch it. But I'm interested with the art style, with what's going on, the action of it.
Greg Miller
This one missed the mark for me, I think in pretty much every way, like looking at it on paper and some of the things I was hearing and seeing. I'm like, oh, I like this part. I like this part. But it coming together. There's so much of my. But I really don't like this, this and that. So we'll see. But I'm not. I don't have high hopes for it personally. Then getting into the full show itself, we started off with an Expedition 33 song just to kind of set the tone and not just a song. We got the Renoir boss fight. Oh yeah, they knew what they were doing. We had him come out. We had him do the entire guitar solo. It was awesome. Was it mixed the best? No. We can all admit that that's okay.
Blessing
Oh, we know. We always.
Greg Miller
That was. That was incredible. And we started off so damn strong with the announcements Star Wars Fates of the Old Republic Casey Hudson is directing in this narrative driven single player RPG and spiritual successor to Knights of the Old Republic, players step into the role of a force user in a galaxy on the edge of rebirth. Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic will blend innovative storytelling, memorable characters, and heart pounding combat for an unforgettable experience where every decision deepens the player's journey toward light or darkness. Concerning from the Star wars blog, Greg writes. Still in the early stages of development and creation, Fate of the Old Republic benefits from decades of creative experiences across the collaborative partnership. We had Cotor and now we have photo.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, shout out to me and Andy for literally doing the exact same thing. We've typed it. Casey's photo popped in Google. We both click Wikipedia because I just want to make sure I got it right. I know our audience is vast, so maybe you're an old head and watched everything I ever did at ign. Maybe you're brand new and just playing video games in the last few years. Casey Hudson, of course was the project director of Knights of the Old Republic and then the Mass Effect trilogy. Casey's the guy who left bioware and things started to go bad at one point and he came back and what like. And they left again I think. But it's like Casey is one of those bioware names. And so again, early development means we are far.
Blessing
We are hiring this game.
Tim Gettys
Exactly. This is one of those ones you put out so you bring people to your brand new studio or whatever.
Blessing
Let's go snipe some stars. Exactly.
Tim Gettys
But it's exciting, man. It's exciting to see him behind this. And then like I read, I read, you know, I've been on camera, you've seen me the entire day. I did a little bit of reading in there and how he's kept in touch with the Star wars team for 20 years and always wanted to do something else and that I don't like. Here we are. It's like, you heard me. I think this two days ago on Games Daily with the Kotor shit where I was like, just stop remaking Kotor and make give it to a team to make a new Star wars rpg. And so for them to be doing this music to my ears. Let's go. I wish them the best and hope for the best.
Greg Miller
I always talk about the unicorn games, the games that we know are years away, but we're hoping to see at every showcase because we know that they're not close. But maybe we get some new announcement, maybe we get some gameplay, maybe we get something. This is one of those games and I, I'm, I feel like we've been running out of those because so many of them have either been canceled or have released or have released and needed a couple updates like Cyberpunk to actually get where they needed to be. But I'm so stoked on this. I do believe that one day we'll get it. And I, I, I think that this is one that, like I just said, it's either going to get canceled at some point or I do think it's going to come out and it'll be winning awards at a game awards in the future.
Blessing
Right now hiring senior concept artists, senior systems designers. Name of the studio Archinaut.
Roger
I'm impressed by the fact that this wasn't at like a first party thing. I feel like usually when we get in new or not new ip, but an IP game that is new that is this monumental. Right? The fact that it's appearing at game awards under the studio, that it doesn't have a publisher or anything like that. Super impressive and super good for Casey Hudson and the team for being able to kind of like have that autonomy. Autonomy on something that's this huge.
Blessing
For all we know, it may just be Casey at the studio. The, the 10 jobs that they are hiring are all leads. So every. We need all the best people on this. Please don't this for us, everybody.
Roger
Yeah.
Greg Miller
And then the next biggest announcement, maybe the biggest announcement of the show. Jeff Keighley might have Miss Piggy in Bora Bora.
Tim Gettys
Yeah,
Blessing
Joey.
Tim Gettys
Thank you, Joey.
Blessing
Wild discussion.
Greg Miller
Divinity. Simply divinity. You know, drop the.
Snowbike Mike
The.
Greg Miller
It is perfect, right? Like call it that. Larian Studios. The Hellstone is real. The biggest game ever. You put that there, Greg. What, what's that about?
Roger
They Said that.
Greg Miller
There we go.
Blessing
Bigger than Baldur's Gate 3.
Tim Gettys
Exactly. It's their biggest game. Sorry, I apologize. I left out some words there for you.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I mean, hey, there was a lot of trademarks that kind of like showed this is what it's going to be. But they kind of nailed it. Like, what a great use of the game. Awards after winning two years ago, having the whole marketing campaign having everyone talking about, what is this? And I don't think it let people down.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Greg Miller
This, this is showing up and being like, if you don't know, now you know.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah. This studio is now a household name.
Blessing
Right.
Snowbike Mike
We talked about best community support for the past three years. They've won Baldur's Gate three. Making a massive splash on the scene. This Larian team can do no wrong. But really, they're doing the right thing here. Right. Taking off, just having divinity. Welcome in newbies. Let's come and join this world. Let's come experience what we have in store for you. You liked Baldur's Gate 3. You're going to love this. And yeah, I'm excited to see what this team is going to do to pull out all the stops.
Roger
This is definitely their lock in moment. Right. Like Baldur's Gate was, you know, using an ip, came out, was a breakout success. Right. And now it's your time to do something that is. All right. We're working off of an original IP that we've done stuff before. The fans of the series know like what this is. How do we introduce it? Introduce this to the world, to the
Tim Gettys
point of the title. Right? That cut you off there.
Roger
Oh, you're fine.
Tim Gettys
Okay. Like the point of the title, like, right, like, let's soft reboot.
Roger
Yes.
Tim Gettys
Isn't Divinity original sin 3? This isn't something you need to understand and know a bunch about. It's from the makers of Baldur's Gate 3. Here you go, Divinity. Jump in, have fun, you're going to care.
Roger
And let's introduce it with an expensive ass. Cinematic. And then say it's bigger than Baldur's Gate 3. Like, they did this in the exact right way.
Greg Miller
Wild.
Tim Gettys
Then we got gifted memberships on YouTube.
Blessing
Thank you, T sweens you.
Greg Miller
We got 4 loop. This is Bad Robot and PlayStation on
Tim Gettys
another show, but not an actual prediction show. So nothing.
Greg Miller
And to Mike's point, you know, bring out the celebrities. Have them actually have something of consequence to say here. It's just your crew versus an alien invasion. Odds are you're gonna die a lot. Thankfully, that's all part of the plan. Mike, what's this do for you?
Snowbike Mike
Left for dead. J.J. abrams. What a. What a combo there, right? And so we're riding the high off of Helldivers over on the PlayStation side of things. People are craving this PvE experience with their friends in this massive open world doing just crazy, dumb things. And this has that formula. Plus the team behind Left four Dead. Right. Like you talk about those names, that kind of career path and the people that love that in particular with the genre. Like, yeah, it's got the makings of something great. Did I like the showing, Tim? Actually, I did not like the show.
Tim Gettys
There's something about something. I know it's a new studio and blah, blah, but it's like something about it doesn't look good. And I know it's early, so there's plenty of time to change that, but I'm not vibing with the style of it.
Blessing
The character suits remind me a lot of Exoborn, of course. And I don't love the way that those characters look.
Tim Gettys
What was Elysium too with Matt Damon? Didn't he wear a weird ass suit too?
Blessing
Kind of like it almost looks like an ecto or what?
Tim Gettys
That thing from Control.
Blessing
No. And it doesn't look like a proton pack.
Snowbike Mike
That's.
Tim Gettys
Wow.
Roger
Andy, watch your mouth.
Tim Gettys
Andy, roll it back.
Greg Miller
No.
Tim Gettys
Kevin, go throw it back up. Roll this thing. It's got a. It looks like the thing for more than anything. It's got that thing.
Greg Miller
I'm in front of the back.
Snowbike Mike
No, there'll be a test later. You can start writing notes.
Tim Gettys
You're no better than the people who put the proton pack and their kids upside down or at Halloween. I almost. I didn't want to bring it up on content, but my friend John Campioni sent me a photo of his entire family. All the proton packs were upside down, but I didn't say anything to him.
Roger
It feels a little bit like. Let's run back. Helldivers do like. Even the tone of the trailer kind of gives that a bit, which I don't.
Tim Gettys
They said stratagems. They said straight up stratagems.
Roger
Which I think I can see why PlayStation would be like, yo, we want another Helldivers 2. But I also think if we're gonna do that, we need to find another avenue for what Helldivers 2 can be like. What's a different setting, what's a different tone, what's a different vibe but still create, recreate that solid gameplay. There's something there. But I think when you veer too close to what that is, then people are going to look at it and go, well, I can just play hole instead.
Blessing
I didn't love the tone of the I didn't like the narrating or kind of this jovial like, you know, voiceover that it had with it. I, I don't know, I expected it to be a bit more like serious looking.
Greg Miller
We are going to continue going through the rest of the announcements at the Game wars right after a word from our sponsors.
Tim Gettys
If you live for high stakes runs, tight teamwork, and that rush when the extraction timer is ticking down, this might be your next obsession. You've already seen us obsessing over Arc Raiders, the multiplayer extraction adventure set on a lethal future Earth where mechanized killing machines rule the surface and humanity hides below. As a raider, you brave topside to loot, complete quests, fight arc robots, and extract safely if you can underground. In Speranza, you'll upgrade your den, boost your abilities, and gear up for raids on the surface. There are no rules. Swarms of drones, massive robots, and rival raiders make every trip unique. Choose solo duo or squad of three, but rival players are never far away. Team up or take their loot. What kind of raider will you be in the Rust Belt? Arc Raiders is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and PC.
Greg Miller
Coven of the Chicken Foot this is Bruce Straley's new game from Wildflower Interactive. It's the old woman with the chicken feet. After the dungeons have been plundered in the monsters all killed, an elderly witch quietly gets to work in this emotionally rich, stylized single player adventure. Gert will need to build a bond with a peculiar creature if she's to fulfill a coven's oath. Set in a stylized world that winks at the tropes of traditional fantasy adventures Covenant, the Chicken Foot is an emotionally rich, charming yet dark creature puzzle platformer that invites players to reconsider who the heroes are and how easily stories shift when told from the margins. Who wants to start?
Tim Gettys
I do. I think, you know, we saw it real quick and moved on and obviously a million things going on. I think the general sentiment was like, I don't know about that. For me, sold. You know, Bruce leaving Naughty Dog and kind of leaving games for a while, coming back and announcing Wild Flower. What, two years ago?
Roger
I don't think it was that. It was that long.
Tim Gettys
Is it not that long ago?
Roger
It might have been even maybe less than a year. May, maybe a year.
Greg Miller
No.
Tim Gettys
Maybe.
Roger
I remember talking about this.
Tim Gettys
But anyways, coming back and Be like we're making small games and we're making different games. And then seeing this and hearing about the angle they're taking on it, I'm stoked for right on the press release I have key features. You know, the unlikely hero stepping the role of an elderly woman. Da da da. A playable relationship driven by innovative technology and unique companion based gameplay. Your companion observes, adapts and develops new behaviors based on how you play. Reshaping traversal and solutions over time. Wordless storytelling. Piece together the mystery through environments, gestures and small choices. Explore a fantasy realm like this. Sounds different, exciting, cool. Like I'm. This is one to watch for me.
Roger
Yeah, like I'm honestly, apologies to Bruce Straley because I think in my mind I had counted this out like before we saw the reveal of it, right. Like when we were talking about his new studio and they had words describing what they were working on, I was kind of like, all right, that sounds whatever, good luck. We hear about new studios every single day. Now that we're seeing it, I'm like, I would play this game. This game seems really cool. I really like the art style of it. During the reaction I compared it to season. Right. I like something, you know, has that very stylized look but also looks clean at the same time. And everything I'm hearing gameplay wise appeals to me. I'm really into this.
Blessing
Yeah, I think it looks great. I love the art direction. I hope it's one that hits you in the feels and I hope.
Tim Gettys
Oh it will.
Blessing
I hope it hits me in the feels even more because I'm like it was seven hours. It's amazing. You know, like I wanted to be like a sub seven hour.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, it's my thing. I think it'll be even shorter than that. I would be just guessing I'd know
Blessing
nothing but take my $30.
Greg Miller
Next up, we had on Toast 2026 everything but switch is where it's going. A sci fi mystery set of the repur repurposed Moon Hotel Samsara. Uncover cryptic experiments, face unsettling encounters and piece together a mind bending narrative. The deeper you go, the more truth unravels as you confront the ultimate question. What is reality?
Blessing
Oh, I didn't, I missed the part where it said the from from the creators of Soma. That's really cool. I, I liked the whole vibe of this. I I it seems kind of scary, you know, firewash in space type deal. I like it. Oh this and yeah, this is the one with scars guard first.
Greg Miller
Scars guard.
Blessing
Yeah. Stars guard prime.
Tim Gettys
Shout out to X quigley sending in 50. Kind of funny. Gifted.
Greg Miller
Thank you so much. That's amazing.
Blessing
Thank you.
Greg Miller
And speaking of amazing. Resident Evil Requiem. I keep being so hyped for this and everything they show just gets me. Even me more. More stoked and confident that this is going to deliver. Requiem for the Dead. Nightmare for the living. Prepare to escape death in a heart stopping experience that will chill you to your core. We got Gideon, we got Leon. Grace is survival horror. Leon is playable on the action side. This trailer was just everything I needed it to be. I could have used a little bit more beard. I was hoping for more beard.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, not a lot of beard.
Greg Miller
Surprised we'll get it though. We saw it on the. The art that now is 100 real because the leak stuff had that other dude that we're seeing with the weird little eyepiece thing going on who I. I love Resident Evil lore. I am not the keeper of Resident Evil lore. Like I don't know at all. But I. People were talking about maybe this being a relative of Spencer who's related to the origins of Umbrella. Spencer Mansion is the mansion from Resident Evil 1. I'm like, I'm all about so many of these connections. And when you're looking at Raccoon City, which we already knew we're going to be in, but what we're seeing here, Leon coming back, Leon doing his moves from four, but with a more RE1 inspired zombie. I'm like, this is just like everything. Because we know they've knocked it out of the park with seven and eight and for them to continue the look and vibe of that but like going back to the things I love most about the OGs.
Snowbike Mike
Whoo.
Tim Gettys
Kojo 1990 on Twitch gifting 25 subs thank you so much.
Roger
Dang of the mainline RE games. I think now I'm at the point where I've only not played 5, 6 and 1. Do I gotta play one before?
Tim Gettys
You haven't played one? No. Wow.
Greg Miller
One just doesn't have the modern jump on.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Right. The one remaster that got ported is amazing. It's absolutely incredible. I mean, yeah, it was a remake on GameCube.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
But then that became a remaster in HD. But it's incredible and I think that you. You have the sensibilities as a gamer. Like personally, I'm saying this about bless the nicest thing that it's like, I know that you can kind of like wrap your heads around your head around it of like, okay, this is an old game, old design and like appreciate it for what it is. Thank you, Mike. So I would recommend giving a shot because it's not that long and.
Roger
Gotcha. Narratively, I. Does. Would I. Would it help me appreciate this game more?
Snowbike Mike
Yeah.
Roger
Okay.
Greg Miller
Yeah. I mean, but, I mean, you don't need to. You don't need to. You don't need to, I don't think. But, like, yeah, definitely. There's definitely some characters and just, like, dynamics that are set up in one that are kind of core. But if you played two and you played three, and I know all the ones you've played, I think you're gonna be fine there.
Roger
Okay.
Greg Miller
And then, yeah, 5 and 6 just kind of go off the deep end in terms of insanity, as Andy Cortez knows. Did Requiem do anything for you guys?
Snowbike Mike
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
I'm excited for this one. You know, I'm. I. I've always wanted to love. Jesus Christ. Everything's tied to my foot.
Blessing
Sorry.
Tim Gettys
If you can plug me back in, that'd be great, because I need that. I've loved. I've always wanted Resident Evil. That was always the thing back in the day. Couldn't get it. Blah, blah, blah. And then it was Resident Evil 7. Right. The Louisiana were in the, like. That was the one. I was like, holy, I love this. And I've chased that high. I loved Resident Evil 2 remake so much. You know, Village infamously wasn't. I didn't hate it, but I just. It didn't live up to what I wanted that to be. And so I watched this, and I look at this, and I'm like, I could be in for this. I'd be excited for this.
Snowbike Mike
I can't wait, Tim. I'm all about it. This is, like, one of the most anticipated games of the year. Getting to see more of it is always exciting. I'm excited for the. What? I don't know. That's what I really want to. You know, I want to stop looking at it because I want to be wowed. I want to have those crazy moments and.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
I cannot wait for this. It's going to be so much fun.
Greg Miller
Yeah. I mean, popping off as they did the dolly into the door. It's like this trailer was for the fans, man. Like, they really did a good job with all that.
Snowbike Mike
So what are some of the fun code names he was giving The Resident Evil 4? Where's Golden Condor? This is Condor 1. You got to get Baby Eagle. That was so much fun. God damn.
Greg Miller
Baby Eagle. We had Order of the Sinking Star from director Jonathan Blow, who made Braid and the Witness. Order of The Singing Star is a narrative adventure set in a realm of magic and enigma. Solve over a thousand interconnected handcrafted puzzles, discover unique playable heroes, master evolving gameplay mechanics and decipher a grand mystery. It's coming 2026, 1400 puzzles, insane.
Roger
And I got to see this behind closed doors on a Discord call where I got like an hour long breakdown of what exactly is going on in this game. And it is impressive. Like I'm somebody who, I played a lot of the Witness, really, really enjoyed the Witness and really like puzzle games. Obviously seeing this trailer right immediately, not what I would have expected from like a presentation perspective from like the next Jonathan Blow game. It being this top down, like block puzzle game immediately doesn't appeal to me from him, but then also does appeal to me in general. Like I do like these types of puzzles. Weirdly enough, this game is fucking huge. Like that was my main takeaway coming out of that, right? Like you talk about that amount of puzzles. The way they talked about this game was also essentially saying that there are four games in this game, right? Like you hit this overworld and you have essentially four different directions you can go where you go into one world and you're playing as these unique characters that kind of. That have their own mechanics. You know, it might be, you saw in the trailer the mirror puzzle stuff that's going on, that's its own kind of world with its own characters. Essentially. You have another one that might be more, oh, this character pulls blocks and that's, oh, indie. Got me another one of these Reese's Orders. Pulls blocks and like, you know, you have a whole world that's based around those mechanics. That's how the game sets you off. And that's sort of phase one of the game. As you get further in, those worlds combine and overlap in really cool and interesting ways and that then you know, dives into essentially like a much larger experience. And so if you're somebody who's a puzzle sicko, if you're somebody who likes to spend a lot of time just getting deep into puzzles, they said that this game is around. Oh, I'm trying to find in my notes. I think they said around 600 hours.
Tim Gettys
Jesus Christ.
Roger
For a completionist. If you're trying to complete everything in the game. And so if you're like me, if you're a puzzle sicko, this is one to look out for.
Greg Miller
A reminder to everybody on Twitter and Blue sky, we have posts up for your Hot Takes of the Game awards. What, what did you think about it? Whether it was the announcements or the winners. Please let us know because tomorrow's games cast is going to be going over all of your thoughts. Next up.
Roger
Also self Correction. I said 600 hours. 500 hours for completion.
Tim Gettys
Still insane.
Roger
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Also up. And he keeps giving away candy to people, but not me. And I assume it's because I didn't see. I didn't send him receipt control.
Blessing
No, it's because you reviewed it and you were like, peanut butter ruins everything.
Roger
That's also true.
Snowbike Mike
Would you like one?
Tim Gettys
No, it's fine. Peanut butter ruins everything. I'm good. I mean, you're eating Almond Joys. You know what I mean?
Snowbike Mike
I literally just had an almond. I had a king size Almond Joy.
Tim Gettys
Would have loved to have one of
Greg Miller
those for a king.
Roger
You want one?
Greg Miller
I do. I mean, I do.
Roger
It's a risky thing for your voice
Tim Gettys
right now, but listen, you do that. I'll take us to the next game. It was Exodus. Exodus is a sci fi action adventure RPG where you become the traveler leading humanity's fight for survival against the Celestials, face our evolution 40,000 years in the future, explore extraordinary worlds and confront time itself to shape the fate of generations. This, of course, is a Wizards of the coast game. Early 2027. Anybody putting out a 2027 release date on these? I was a little bit like, all right, that's a made up year and I don't need to hear that yet. But this is one we've talked about and had our eye on before and been interested in. I still am. You know, this looks like a fun little action RPG that we have Mass Effect at home. Mass Effect. I'll take it. Nobody else is making them. Let's go.
Blessing
Yeah. I hope that there's awesome choices to make, cool companions to hang out with. I, you know, I want the combat to be great. I feel like this game's gonna be right in that seven, five to eight out of category. But I, I'm expecting awesome things from the writing of this. The lead writer on this is Drew Carpishin. I'm not sure how to pronounce his last name, so sorry. But he's lead writer from Kotor and Mass Effect 1 and 2.
Tim Gettys
Sounds great. And that's what I want.
Blessing
Yeah, I'm really, really hoping this one turns out to be awesome.
Tim Gettys
Let me give you four paragraphs here. Okay. Wizards of the coast and Archetype Entertainment today debuted a new trailer for Exodus at the Game Awards. The trailer provides fans with a more in depth look at June Aslan, a hero on an epic journey across the universe to save a world on the brink of collapse. June comes from. Maybe it's John comes from humble beginnings, but carries the legacy of a revere traveler dynasty. Hidden beneath his unassuming origins lies a genetic heritage that grants John extraordinary abilities and, I'm sorry, powers and abilities unlike any other human. Players will shape Jun's destiny through moral choices and conflicting agendas that echo across generations. Fans will determine who Jun ultimately becomes through their actions and choices, all while the fate of their home planet and beyond lies in the balance. Exodus offers. Thank you. Freedom in gameplay style, allowing players to approach challenges through stealth or open combat. Both paths are designed to be equally rewarding, empowering players to tailor their experience as the story unfolds. Fans will unlock new weapons and abilities, form bonds with companions, and discover combat synergies that deepen both the gameplay and the storytelling. Which sounds exactly what I want. Will they nail that? Will that be great? Will it just be a, you know, a bad facsimile of Mass Effect? I don't know, but I'm excited to try that.
Blessing
It does feel like the art is like, just almost there.
Tim Gettys
Almost there.
Blessing
Something about it is still, like, still looks like the first game whenever a brand new engine comes out and it's like we haven't quite tuned and dialed everything in, but hopefully things get dialed in more because this game is still a good ways away. 14, 15 months away.
Roger
The Reese's Oreo, which I'm not mad
Greg Miller
up to, honestly, this is hidden in a way.
Blessing
The Reese's Oreo.
Roger
We got a smiley's category, right? Best gaming snack.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
Wow.
Greg Miller
Wow.
Roger
They did something with this.
Greg Miller
I do want to say 2027. I'm not mad at it, seeing at this game awards, right? I don't want to see everything and Mega man, like, there's something. I'm like, all right, what the are we talking about? But like, overall, it's like, you know, Onimusha revealed last year and it's like, that's coming sometime 2026. We still don't know when, but like, that makes sense to me. Like, we can't expect everything to be within six months. Warlock, Dungeons and Dragons. This is coming in 2027, summer 2026 for some gameplay. This is a new Wizards of the coast game, a subsidiary of Hasbro. Blah, blah, blah. Warlock is set in a dark fantasy open world inspired by D D. Developed by Invoke Studios, the game places players in the role of Katri, a veteran warrior who makes a pact to wield Otherworldly magic against dark powers. It's currently in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox. Warlock empowers players to use magic to overcome a wide range of challenges. In exploration, every spell is a key and to unlocking new paths and possibilities in a beautiful yet unsettling world. When facing enemies, magic and melee combined for a combat experience that's both tactile and visceral.
Blessing
I. We didn't see gameplay though, right?
Tim Gettys
No, but she just looked exactly. It was one of those things. You came off. We came off of Exodus. You're like, all right, yeah, cool. I'm gonna play you look at like you're. This is your. Your. Your character art is on another level for this trailer of nothing. But I can't wait to play.
Blessing
Looks sick as.
Snowbike Mike
What were the games where you. War, death and the other one.
Tim Gettys
Darksiders.
Snowbike Mike
Give me some Darksiders on that.
Tim Gettys
I'm sick of Dark side.
Snowbike Mike
I think that's what we're gonna see.
Tim Gettys
We talked about Darksiders. I don't want to hear about Dark side.
Snowbike Mike
I'm shooting my shot on that one. That's what you're see at the end of the day.
Greg Miller
Next up, we had Gang of Dragon. It's deep into development, is what they said. A new action adventure game from game creator Toshihiro Naga Nagoshi. Set.
Roger
Sorry, what I just said. Hell yeah.
Greg Miller
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Set in the streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Starring Ma Dong Seok as Shinji Song. And the story unfolds with heated and intense human drama across Shinjuku, one of Japan's largest entertainment districts. It's not Yakuza.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Studio.
Roger
Former.
Blessing
Former Yakuza.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Roger
Yakuza director Roger, come through.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah. Come on, Rod.
Blessing
This looks super cool.
Snowbike Mike
This looks sick as hell.
Blessing
He dodges that dude's bullet like awesome. He punched that dude's chest. And I'm pretty sure that guy's just goop in there now. Like, there's not everybody.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, there's guns now, guys. We got guns in the Yakuza franchise. We're shooting them. And cars. And cars were going around here. It's. He's making a statement here, like ending with the arch over there and being like, yo, I'm doing Yakuza. I'm doing it my way. And he left for creative freedom, right. He wants to be able to do yakuza. And I think Yakuza has gotten to the point where there's so much lore, there's so much, you know, history behind that franchise and being able to reboot it and do something even more gritty than what you have with Yakuza and where it's at now and how it's gone so fantastical and insane. Kind of being able to make it more grounded, have a star and kind of have an easy jumping on point. Because man, this, this is exciting.
Roger
And I.
Andy Cortez
It's nice that there's going to be like actual like, hey, we have this and we have the Yakuza franchise going at the same time because hopefully they learn from each other. And also we have a. I always forget it's a Stranger than Heaven. Stranger than Heaven.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
That also is there too. So some really good stuff. Very, very excited. Did not expect to see this and did not expect to see it seemingly so fleshed out and hopefully coming out soon.
Roger
During the trailer, I think I mentioned like, man, RGG has. That has this kind of game cornered, right? They have the market cornered. And I. It's lovely to see that Noi studio here is rising up and being like, yo, no, we'll. We'll face off. Like we'll make our own.
Andy Cortez
And I like that we got a big meaty boy, you know, I mean, for sure, big meaty boy, bro.
Tim Gettys
Someone who feels like he's been there and done there a bit with you Yakuza. Like this. I mean, like when this drops, I totally want to do this. I want to go and play this one. Yeah.
Andy Cortez
What about Yakuza Kwame 3?
Tim Gettys
Again, we're back to. I've just played these games a lot, but Dark Ties. I don't need to deliver pizzas on my car or my little bike and drive around the old stuff. I don't need to be a pirate. I don't want to be a pirate.
Andy Cortez
Come on.
Blessing
Broken.
Andy Cortez
God, what a. So sick.
Snowbike Mike
So.
Greg Miller
All right, everybody. Rod, you can stay here actually.
Blessing
Oh, why?
Greg Miller
Because what's the next up is very, very important.
Blessing
What happened?
Greg Miller
You're saying there's cars in that game now? Guess where else there's cars? Street Fighter the movie.
Roger
Oh, you skipped over it.
Tim Gettys
You skipped control. By the way.
Blessing
You know what else you can control? Cars.
Greg Miller
All right, fine. Let's go back to control. If we have to control Resident 2026 players will explore warped Manhattan on the brink of paranatural annihilation. Annihilation. In this thrilling action adventure rpg, unleash the extraordinary powers of Dylan Faden as he fights for his humanity and survival against a reality bending cosmic threat. Control Resident will be published by Remedy and A. Perna Pictures are co financing and co producing the game as part of A strategic partnership with Remedy Entertainment.
Andy Cortez
Sorry, what'd you say about that?
Blessing
Annapurna.
Greg Miller
Annapurna Pictures are co financing, producing. We knew this.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I remember the. They did the Annapurna, like movie deal or TV deal. I guess I didn't remember.
Greg Miller
Yeah, it all came back to the financing.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, you're right.
Greg Miller
Yeah. But Rog, what do you got for me?
Andy Cortez
Yeah, so they just showed us this trailer early. They didn't show any gameplay. They showed a few more pieces of images and key art.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Andy Cortez
But they gave us some details and we were able to ask a few questions. Sadly, my most important question, which I asked for you, Andy, because I was always thinking about you and I know you're the control guy, I didn't know you're the mega man guy, but I knew you were the control guy. I asked, is there a Perry? They didn't answer. They just skipped over my question. They just skipped over my question.
Blessing
It was hard question is gonna be like, come on.
Andy Cortez
I know, right?
Snowbike Mike
There's gotta be.
Andy Cortez
But you know, you never know.
Blessing
Hold the rocks up.
Andy Cortez
Seven years after control hiss spills out into New York. The way that they build this out, which I thought was really interesting, is they compare this to Jesse's story and how she goes into the oldest house and it's this brand new world. It's the same thing for Dylan almost because Dylan is now he's been in the oldest house for so long that him going into New York is like, oh my go. What is this place? And of course it's been taken out. It's a little bit different than New York normally is.
Tim Gettys
How long has he been under as
Andy Cortez
Dylan has been under? Yeah, it's seven years since control.
Blessing
So. Okay. Yeah, long enough.
Tim Gettys
When's the last time he was in New York? Like is he.
Greg Miller
Well, he.
Tim Gettys
Is he freaking out about like lack of a couple buildings?
Blessing
Oh my.
Tim Gettys
I'm just wondering. It's an honest question.
Blessing
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Andy Cortez
He walked out. He's like, oh my God, Zoron. All this communism is crazy.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Roger
Say the name of the building.
Blessing
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
So yeah. He's the only one that can fight back against this disaster.
Roger
Mirrors what?
Andy Cortez
Jesse's thing, as I said, large open ended world is what they said. They did not say open world. They refused to say that. They said it's not open world. Open ended world.
Roger
I like that.
Andy Cortez
So you're running around. It's a close off experience. Manhattan is closed off. No one can enter or leave. My comparison there is like the Simpsons movie, you know what I mean? When they put the dome over, remember that? That was great. Spider Pig.
Blessing
That was fire.
Andy Cortez
Plenty of f. FBC and civilians to talk to. So it's not just a bunch of random hiss that you're fighting. There is a lot more real people in there, which I think was a bit of my concern, that this was just going to be a bunch of hiss running around. There's people to talk to. There's individuals that are not just fbc, which is nice action RPG gameplay. They really focused in on. You're able to make your gameplay matter and different and experiment, but also not go too down the rabbit hole of experimenting, feeling like this is not your experience, then not being able to respec or change it. So you can really make this your own experience. And they focus on the RPG elements. They also focus on the idea that the enemies are able to follow Dillon wherever he goes. So he's flying, he's running around, he's platforming. These enemies will be able to do that, right? So they are also flying. They're also matching whatever Dylan's got going on over there. By far the deepest and most expansive Remedy game ever. Yeah, it's. It was really, really exciting. They have been clearly working on this for a while. I did not expect this to be 2026. Like, that was the biggest surprise out of all this. I don't know about y'.
Greg Miller
All. Do you believe it?
Andy Cortez
I do. I do. I. I don't think that they would put a 2026. I don't think they need to put a 2026 unless they were confident. How about you guys?
Blessing
I. Oh, gosh. I mean, I. We're a hot off. Hot off the heels of Alan Wake 2 last year, and I guess I'd believe it if we had any info as to, like, what teams are working on what and how many people have been working on this for how long. 2026 is still insane to me, though. That seems way too soon. And it's also in that weird spot where it's like, well, you can only delay so much until you're just delaying out of 2026 because you don't want to get run over by anybody and you cannot afford to get run over. Remedy, like, Allen Wade did not sell great.
Andy Cortez
And also FBC was a massive. They're in a very, very precarious situation right now as a company, as a brand. Like, they need this one to hit. And, yeah, Allen Way 2 came out the perfect moment, the perfect time. It really kind of launched them into, like, this new stratosphere. When it came to critical and and commercial to a certain degree success in terms of like a knowledge people talking about Alan Wake and that brand and you.
Roger
What if I told you that Allen Way 2 came out over two years ago?
Blessing
Oh for real?
Snowbike Mike
Yes.
Blessing
Damn.
Greg Miller
Bless Control. Yeah. Remember?
Roger
Oh I love Control.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Roger
Yeah, good.
Greg Miller
My question then to blessed and Andy and only blessing Andy. Unless someone else has something to say but I call them out because that
Tim Gettys
voice is about to go.
Greg Miller
I'm so sorry. 2019 games came out.
Roger
Where you going with this?
Greg Miller
And I've heard you guys tell me Tim, you gotta play, you gotta play, you gotta play. And I've tried a little bit and I'm like Sekiro I just don't think is for me.
Blessing
Right.
Tim Gettys
Okay. Okay.
Greg Miller
This looks awesome.
Roger
Yeah.
Greg Miller
When I tell you Andy, like I think I'm more interested in control than Seiro. Are you like yes, Tim, play Control dude.
Blessing
Like I mean it's what I kept. You know when Allan Wake was every everybody was creeping their jeans over Alan Wake too and I was like look, I get it Alan Wake 2 awesome game too scary for me. But what if you could float in the sky and throw people and then you have a gun and pop up and then you're throwing a rock at that like it's what if there was
Tim Gettys
a man who had Sarah refrigerator.
Blessing
I've been chasing the high of controls combat for you know since 2019 I feel like and it I think art direction wise you'll be blown away by it. The amount of awesome just color scheme the out vistas you see with the fun and it's like the style of sickest ever. It's the sickest.
Roger
I think the style would speak to Tim Gettys. I also think just the world picking up notes reading just the weird that's going on the oldest house like what I told you that they stopped allowing pencils in there because pencils would just do weird right? Like it's that type of really weird stuff.
Greg Miller
Agenda anti lead agenda.
Blessing
Oh yeah.
Roger
I mean then you would love control
Blessing
dodging doing all sorts of cool flying up. It's awesome. Game rocks, dude.
Greg Miller
All right.
Blessing
Oh you should play Sekiro.
Roger
Yeah, you should also play Sekiro.
Andy Cortez
Play Control. Play Control.
Tim Gettys
Play Octop zero.
Greg Miller
You're not allowed to leave.
Blessing
Why?
Greg Miller
Because we haven't talked about Street Fighter the movie. Oh dude, they were also on stage. We had no 50 cent but we had Cammy. We didn't know about Cammy.
Andy Cortez
Also you were screaming. You didn't hear the music. Did you Hear the music.
Greg Miller
Yes.
Andy Cortez
Joey Valance and Bray.
Greg Miller
Oh no, I did. I said my boys. Yeah. No, everything about this incredible. This is perfect. This is what I've wanted from a Street Fighter movie forever. Lean in to their moveset sets, to their looks, their. The whole thing of what Street Fighter is, man. The world warriors, baby. We already know who's writing this. We know who's directing it. It's going to be a good time.
Blessing
Who is writing good?
Greg Miller
It's the team from the Eric Andre show. Yeah, yeah.
Blessing
So okay, so what I was gonna make mention of. I don't know why I thought this at all had any relation to like directors of the John Wick franchise or something. But it's like, like I love this movie is being colored the way like the Wick movies are with like the. Every location has like its own sort of color scheme and vibe. There's purples and oranges and pinks and it's like it's got so much style to it.
Greg Miller
Like a video game that travels the world and has different maps to fight on. World Warriors.
Roger
World Warriors.
Greg Miller
Kevin, I sent something to Assets if you could bring up please.
Tim Gettys
Cuz we.
Roger
That's where the camera work is hidden. Like there's like a zoom in there where I'm like, that's a goofy ass zoom.
Andy Cortez
That's troll on camp.
Roger
Yeah, yeah. They know what they're doing.
Andy Cortez
You see the posters you're pulling up
Greg Miller
and Broa jam in the chat says, oh my God, this is the first I'm hearing about this. I have the games cast for you. And I spent an hour going down a rabbit hill trying to rabbit hole. Trying to explain tumbling down a rabbit hill why this movie is about to be the greatest thing of all time. And I just keep being proven right. Let's look at these things. We have their names in the style of the Street Fighter 4 font. We have all of them in costumes. Just perfect, accurate costumes.
Snowbike Mike
My God, Mike, I'm pumped. Tim. I mean it's crazy. Tim. God, they got my main man.
Roger
He's looking good.
Andy Cortez
I'm gonna say, man, Noah's looking. He's looking hot.
Blessing
He looks good.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah.
Greg Miller
Him green.
Blessing
Dude, that's like a. That is that like us.
Greg Miller
This one's.
Snowbike Mike
I don't know.
Andy Cortez
I don't know about this one
Roger
though.
Blessing
You can't not go full ball rock hairline.
Greg Miller
The problem is with. I was saying this in our very long games cast. I needed him to be cross eyed. He's not looking cross. That could be a moment in the movie. Though that could be a big moment.
Blessing
Do we think. Do we think Mimo is wearing like a. A skin, a suit type thing or is that cg?
Greg Miller
Full method.
Roger
Full method. To his wife and kids. He's still like that.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Like. And Vega, Orville Peck. I didn't know this man until we did our deep dive. And he always wears a mask.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, it's really sick.
Greg Miller
Just as a human. Oh, that's what he does.
Snowbike Mike
That was the guy with the cowboy mask. Yeah, man. He's cool.
Tim Gettys
Oh, I didn't know that.
Blessing
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
Kind of vibe.
Blessing
He's Slipknot.
Roger
And then what's his name from Dexter?
Andy Cortez
David.
Roger
Come on.
Greg Miller
He's.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, that's fire.
Tim Gettys
Come on.
Snowbike Mike
Come on.
Roger
Look how good he looks.
Greg Miller
It's perfect.
Blessing
The Cody Rhodes hairstyle.
Andy Cortez
The Cody Rhodes one is just incredible, man.
Roger
Can I see Cody Rhodes? Can we go?
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
He looks great.
Tim Gettys
He looks great.
Roger
But, like, you know, I'll take what I can get.
Andy Cortez
This is my goat right there.
Greg Miller
We had Cody and Roman Reigns.
Andy Cortez
This one looks weird. I don't like this one. I don't like the face on that one. I don't know. It's just like. It looks like a Snapchat filter.
Greg Miller
He's a raging demon.
Blessing
I know.
Greg Miller
What are you gonna do?
Andy Cortez
Just this poster. I'm sure it looks good in the movie.
Snowbike Mike
Damn.
Andy Cortez
Nuts.
Greg Miller
Oh, man. In the OG street fight, Ultra Street Fighter 2, Turbo, whatever you want to call it, man.
Tim Gettys
Dan.
Andy Cortez
All right. Oh, my God.
Greg Miller
Him. Dan. Amazing.
Roger
He looks great.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Roger
Did we see dolls stretch in the trailer?
Greg Miller
I don't think.
Blessing
I don't think so.
Greg Miller
It all happened so fast. I was so excited.
Roger
I hope that looks good enough. It won't look amazing, but I hope it looks good enough.
Greg Miller
Yeah. All right. Roger, you may leave.
Andy Cortez
No.
Blessing
Bless you. Think they're gonna. Silly way. We're like he reaches down a bar to grab a drink or something.
Roger
Oh, yeah. And then when he first introduced his
Blessing
character, you see a hand and then the camera follows the hand. Yeah.
Roger
He grabs a hot chocolate and he's anyone's warmer. So he's like yoga flame.
Greg Miller
I'm telling you guys, if you are a fan of Dropout, you need to watch Street Fighter, the later years. Because everything you just said, you might as well just expect it.
Blessing
Okay.
Greg Miller
It was so damn good. Lego Batman. Legacy of the Dark Knight. We got a date. May 29th. 9th. It looks fun.
Tim Gettys
It looks fun. Let down by the voice acting.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Didn't feel like they were bringing it to where we needed to be. Like you're gonna step into those roles like their Joker when he was doing like his Jack Nicholson scenes and stuff. It's like you're not hitting. I think Batman was hitting either. Obviously I'll play it in context, get a better vibe for it. Love the love for Batman. Obviously love the Lego games and what they've done. So to see him coming in here and do it, I'm expecting great things from tt, especially after Star wars and how much people love. Loved that. But yeah, I wasn't like blown away.
Greg Miller
Bless. I don't know if you know this the right hill doggo reminds me in the chat, like, do you know the Yoko Shimamura did most of Street Fighter 2, including Giles theme?
Roger
I just learned that from the chat. I did not know Yokoshimaru did Gals theme.
Greg Miller
Yeah, that's legendary, Mike. That's Kingdom Hearts. All right. Yeah, It's Final Fantasy 15 and it's Street Fighter 2 and Live Alive.
Blessing
One of the first memes I can just think about out. I was telling Greg this also, like one of the first memes I can remember is the Nature Valley bar. But they changed the the logo to say crumbs at everywhere. And I was like, dude, what a funny thing this.
Snowbike Mike
Check this out.
Blessing
It was like 2005 or whatever. But also Guilestein goes with everything.
Greg Miller
Yep.
Blessing
Was like such a popular Internet thing where you just put Giles Theme behind anything. It's gonna work and.
Greg Miller
Yeah, wrong.
Blessing
It's gonna be so sick to hear those theme songs.
Roger
Oh my God, I cannot wait.
Greg Miller
And then we got a back to back Tomb Raider Catalyst. Coming 27. It's a new adventure set in the wake of a mythical cataclysm that has unleashed ancient secrets and awakened mysterious guardian forces. Lara races to uncover the truth buried beneath the fractured landscape before the world's most notorious treasure hunters can grasp its power for their own gain. As the ancient world collides with the present, Lara must decide who is to trust among rivals and allies to prevent a catastrophe and protect a secret that could reshape the future. And then Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis coming 2026 experience the pinnacle of adventure with Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis. A stunning reimagining of Lara Croft's 1996 genre defining game with jaw dropping visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, modern gameplay and new surprises that honor the spirit of the original. I want to take this one first. I could not be more excited for this. I love Tomb Raider as a concept of Lara Croft as a character. And I'm talking about the OG Games. I hated those games. I never enjoyed playing those games. I never enjoyed the controls. Greg talks about the Resident Evil games of like, he loves zombies, but like, this just wasn't hitting you. Give me a fucking badass girl in short shorts with Dual Pistols. Like, I'm all about this stuff, but it wasn't fun to play and I just couldn't wrap my head around it as a kid. And I feel like I just never got over that.
Blessing
Like I never knew what I was doing.
Greg Miller
I played so many of them. I kept trying, kept trying, kept trying and it just, they never stuck with me. Seeing this, I'm like, yeah, a reimagining to honor the spirit of the original. That's exactly what I want. Everything about this from visuals to gameplay, I'm like, this is hype.
Blessing
Me and my cousins would just run away from the butler. Yeah, that's all we did.
Greg Miller
Put them in the freezer.
Blessing
Yeah, I, I, I think this looks visually awesome. I'm pretty surprised that they were able to kind of nail the vibe and nail the nail like the way the environments look and everything. I, I think it just looks really, really great and should be really cool to return to.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I love Tomb Raider as a concept and as the games. I have fond memories of playing Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider 2 back on my PC. So, yeah, stoked about these. It'll be interesting to see what it is. Obviously Amazon Game Studios out front on this one, right. They've owned doing this. And Crystal, after everything that's gone through with Square, what are these games actually going to be? You know the them saying the new one was going to be 2027 and then. But wait, it was like, are they going to nail it back to back years? That's a really cool proposition to set up this new Lara Croft or obviously a new voice actress. Camilla Luddington having done these. This is Alex Wilton Reagan. That rings a bell to anybody else. She has been in a lot of stuff including Tales of Kinsara. Her Instagram has a photo up here about her winning a BAFTA next to a boo. So she's been around doing a whole bunch of stuff. What did IG insights are from. She's appeared in Cyberpunk, 2077, Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition. So excited to see what they got for it.
Snowbike Mike
Yep, fantastic. Big role. I mean a lot of memories, a lot of nostalgia. Bringing it back to just the recent trilogy. Right. We know Crystal Dynamics can nail Tomb Raider, right? They stuck with it for a long time and they make really great games. When it comes to the Tomb Raider legacy. And I cannot wait to jump in, we saw a lot of that kind of grapple hook there that you can kind of assume that's going to be a lot of the gameplay with some fun. So I'm excited to see where we go.
Blessing
Also developed by Flying Wild Hog and I remember that name because they worked on Trek to Yomi, which was kind of a disappointment back several years ago, but they also worked on The Shadow Warrior 2 and 3 sort of remakes in 2016 and 2022. Or not remakes, but yeah, the, the PC versions of those evil west as well in 2022.
Greg Miller
Then we had Force 3 by.
Snowbike Mike
Oh my God, Tim. The Forest 3? Are you kidding me, dude? Okay, let's rewind a little bit, please. Sons of the Forest two came out pretty recently, I would say I'm pretty actually surprised that we're getting a Force three, but that came out, did not land well. A lot of people wanted more from that, did not like what they got. And of course now if you look at their Steam page, it is very positive reviews. Looks like they got back on the page of that. But I didn't think we were going to get a Forest 3 announcement here. I thought this could be Subnautica. We're excited for that. But man, oh man, when I think of fun survival crafting games, I think of intense action, I think of horror on an island. I do think of the forest and all those memories that I had. I hope that this one lands a little bit better at launch. I think it's such a key. But these are the games that kind of take. Take some time to build off of and go. Now we're like sci fi ing it, right? Like the look of this, this isn't. Doesn't look like the forest where I'm just off on some crazy island chopping wood now, right? It looks like I'm on some sort of alien planet. We're fighting some really scary looking monsters. And I love that. I love this. I'm into this. I'm.
Greg Miller
I'm on. After that we had a very awkward transition to Invincible vs Rex Splode and Robert Kirkman were there. And then Elemental is the new character here, voiced by.
Roger
Oh, T.R. wack. Yeah, a rapper who's incredibly talented, super creative. And Tim, you need to check out Whack World.
Greg Miller
I. Yeah, I downloaded the album. I'm excited to listen to it. So I mean, Elemental Greg, Brad Dinnering about character. I mean I know Invincible has so many characters, so yeah, it's a choice, right?
Tim Gettys
Yeah, it's a choice. I mean like for me it was like you said it was an awkward transition and then on top of that it was just off putting of like Rex isn't the Rex from the show but looks just like the Rex from the show. And then we get in there and it's like okay, cool, this isn't Steven as invincible. It isn't the guy from Heroes, the Spock as robot. And so then you're immediately. And then it was just into this and it's like well this isn't that we finally get into the. I don't know. It just, it didn't, it didn't rock for me. Gary the third is saying it's new character.
Greg Miller
Bless fighting game Poppy.
Roger
Yeah, I mean I talk about every time they, they show it off. Right. Like I'm looking forward to it. It's a, it's a very competitive taunt for fighting games currently with all the ones that, that have been coming out this generation. Especially when you look toward next year with Marvel ton Fighting Souls being one of the big ones.
Blessing
But I got to play with all the nominees today.
Roger
With all the nominees today, all the collections but you know, looking forward to next year. It's one that I'm excited for. But then also you know, I played, I played this game twice now. Now it's fun, it's a good time. Is it going to I guess like stick and be that one that really feeds people over time especially with post launch content keeping the fan base involved. We'll see. But you know, if you're a fan of Invincible, if you're a fan of fighting games and more particularly if you're a fan of both those things at the same time, here's the game for you.
Greg Miller
Yep. Then we had Orbitals. Another highlight for me from this show.
Tim Gettys
This looked awesome.
Greg Miller
Switch to exclusive 2026 two player co op up. This is a real, real retro anime type of retro anime. Okay, cool. Real tour anime would have been interesting too. In Orbitals, players will team up and take on the roles of Maki and Umura, two inseparable explorers with a whole lot more determination than on the job experience. Working together, they will brave the perils of space to save their crumbling space station home from the dangers of a supernatural cosmic storm. You called this Andy a Hazelike which was very, very, very clever.
Blessing
Yeah, we already copywrite it.
Greg Miller
They're. They're saying here either by teaming up with two pairs of Joy Con 2 controllers on a single Switch 2 device for local split Screen Co Op using the Systems Game Share or using the Systems Game Share feature for another player on a compatible Switch 2 or Switch 1 device. You can do all that stuff.
Snowbike Mike
Cool.
Greg Miller
They're going all in.
Blessing
Rad.
Greg Miller
Love the look of this. Love the style. Love the CO op energy.
Tim Gettys
100 this.
Greg Miller
So that's great.
Tim Gettys
Kepler.
Blessing
Killing it. Man.
Tim Gettys
Kepler. What a show for them running.
Roger
You need to take all future Genshin likes. Make them look like this.
Blessing
Yeah. I love this dude. Yeah. That art style looks fantastic.
Greg Miller
Then we had wuthering waves 3. 3. That's what they said.
Tim Gettys
I. No. It's withering raves like 3.0 or whatever
Blessing
for a third season or whatever.
Tim Gettys
Something like that. Yeah.
Greg Miller
They did say I heard three. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
You left off my withering words. Three or something.
Greg Miller
Then Diablo four.
Snowbike Mike
Hold tight.
Tim Gettys
Hold on now. What a stupid opening to have Mephisto making fun of Shroud and all this stuff.
Greg Miller
Like what are we doing?
Tim Gettys
Get out of that.
Greg Miller
Get out of that.
Roger
Get out of that.
Tim Gettys
And you get to this. Another hot Blizzard trailer. Let's get going. Let's tear it up. Let's introduce a brand new season of content. Lord of Hatred. This is one of the big things from Vessel of Hatred. Right. Some of the feedback people had for the story of it was like. Like all right. But like Vessel love hatred. Like how long are we killing? Until we get to me Festo and really get in there and deal with the devil himself. Right. Kind of thing. So to see them tackling that. That's great. And then the. I know it had been rumored from Diablo fans out there. For me. I didn't think they'd actually do it. The excitement of. You can go play the Paladin right now. Brand new class. There's going to be two new classes in this expansion. If you go and pre order. I have it in my notes. Yeah. Pre purchase the expansion right now. You can be a Paladin tonight and try that out out. And the second class will come when this launches April 28th. But. And they're going to talk about it before then obviously. But like that's super exciting. That's super cool.
Snowbike Mike
Big deal. Yeah. As a Diablo 2 kid. The Paladin class. Something special.
Tim Gettys
Right?
Snowbike Mike
The idea of like having something now. We didn't get many out nows throughout this show.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Snowbike Mike
And I know we were itching for a couple towards the end. But like the idea of the Diablo audience right now being able to jump in. That's gonna be a big boost. Start and then right around the corner in April. Right like you said, we're moving. This is exciting stuff.
Blessing
I remember the maybe the last one or two Blizzard cinematics that they showed off and debuted something weren't like, we always expect awesome from it. And I remember the last two maybe being a bit disappointing. This one was amazing. I loved the action in it. The vision, like, holy, it got me hyped up and like, I don't even with Diablo on that level.
Tim Gettys
Here comes that pimple pop. We talked about
Roger
that.
Snowbike Mike
Give those people all the money in the world. Let them make a Diablo movie. Let them make a World of Warcraft movie that Cinematics team can never do wrong. There.
Tim Gettys
There's the big man. Yeah. This will be one I want to jump into as fast as I can.
Blessing
Mike, when Tim's gone, should we do an interview for Warcraft the movie?
Snowbike Mike
Maybe we watch it together.
Blessing
Maybe we get Greg on it and bless.
Greg Miller
Don't do that without me. Shitty video game movies.
Blessing
You're right. You're right.
Greg Miller
Marvel Rivals. Next up, Deadpool. He's coming. I thought this trailer was really, really awesome. I love that they're like, like, we have money. Let's put it towards some cool ass. That stuff was rad as Marvel Rivals players.
Snowbike Mike
Mike.
Greg Miller
Bless. Andy, you stoked on this?
Snowbike Mike
I'm the big falloff one. I fell off very early on that. Of course. Close friends Chris Sank and Kevin ASAC still play it almost nightly. I keep up with all the updates via through them and I am blown away with all of the updates that the players have gotten throughout the year. Right. We talked about Marvel Rivals dropping in December last year, being game of the Summer last year as well. Like, it's crazy how much content has been shoved into this game. Character after character, map after map, keeping it fresh, having fun with it. Yeah. They got a great lineup and Deadpool is perfect for the lineup.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing
And they're also adding Rogue, which is kind of like that final stinger at the end. Rogue is joining as a. As a tank character.
Greg Miller
Didn't we already know that the Elsa Bloodstone was the announcement here? Right. Was it Rogue already known?
Roger
Rogue we already knew.
Blessing
I think Rogue we already knew, but I don't think Rogue's in the game right now.
Roger
I think Rogue was announced alongside Card Gambit.
Blessing
Oh, Gambit, Yes.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah.
Blessing
It says in season 5.5 rogue answers
Snowbike Mike
afraid maybe December 12th.
Blessing
Maybe she already joined. Oh, okay. Gotcha.
Roger
Yeah. Yeah. But Elsa Bloodstone I think was a reveal chat was popping off for that. It's been a while since I hopped into mobile Rivals. The more they announced these new characters though. The more I want to jump in, Deadpool is making me want to hop back into the game whenever he, he drops.
Blessing
I'll tell you something though, Buzz.
Roger
What's that?
Blessing
When I hopped in at Overwatch the other day, I'm like, oh, I like this so much more than Marvel Rivals.
Roger
Oh, I agree. Oh, yeah.
Blessing
And I really, really enjoyed my time with Marvel. Rob's. I just don't play. I, I definitely fell off because I felt like something was missing. I don't know what it was, but maybe it's just Ash from Overwatch.
Greg Miller
This is a tangent, but I need to say it. Watching this trailer, like I need everybody that has Disney to watch Star Wars Visions Season 3. There's an episode called Black. Just put it on. It's 10 minutes. Don't ask questions. Just let it play all the way through three seasons. There's three seasons?
Blessing
Yeah, there is.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing
Wow.
Greg Miller
I didn't know you know what I'm talking about, Andy.
Blessing
No, I, I, I mean, I don't know what episode you're talking about, but I know that the third season came out like sometime this year.
Greg Miller
Yeah, you need to watch it. It's like the most insane animation I've ever seen and I don't want to say anything more.
Blessing
I hate that. I didn't watch season two and three because I loved season one.
Greg Miller
Very cool stuff. Yeah. Specifically though, just watch the episode called Black.
Roger
Write this down.
Greg Miller
Crazy out.
Roger
Star wars blacked.
Greg Miller
And it's 10 minutes. Just lock in. Just sit there and lock in. Don't look at your phone.
Snowbike Mike
Throw the phone out the window.
Greg Miller
Lock in.
Blessing
He said blacked. They're giggling. They're giggling.
Greg Miller
Hogwarts Legacy is free this month on Epic. Lords of the Fallen 2. Got some gameplay. We got Raul Koh coming out on stage talking about sorrows beneath the shadow of an ominous eclipse. Our Arjun Devage, Raul Kohli is a Sal Saltari enforcer who will stop at nothing to pursue answers on the shape shifting world of Carcosa. A planet filled with dark secrets and hostile inhabitants. Got delayed to April 30th quietly.
Tim Gettys
Not a big deal.
Greg Miller
Yeah, here's the, here's the date.
Tim Gettys
There you go. See what's up. Dude, it's a month back.
Blessing
Cuties look so good. Holy. Like it? It's more than what I thought it was going to be, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense because Returnal had a lot of kind of those cinematics but this is like more than what I was expecting to get from character moments. Looks awesome.
Greg Miller
Yeah, looks awesome. And yeah, that delay, not, not bad at all.
Blessing
Right.
Greg Miller
Just a couple weeks there. So cool. Then no law. Welcome to Port Desire, a city that doesn't belong to anyone, where everyone wants a piece. You're great.
Tim Gettys
What are you laughing at? Port Desire.
Roger
This is a crazy name. Vice city. All right, we get it.
Tim Gettys
Import Desire.
Roger
Get the out of here.
Greg Miller
I have nothing to say about this to y'. All.
Blessing
This was the devs from the ascent, if we remember the descent or the ascent, the top down type of game. I didn't know that. I thought this looked like a fun double a time. Greg hated it. Greg, like, came at me for this.
Tim Gettys
He's like, bad.
Greg Miller
This is gonna be bad, boy.
Snowbike Mike
This is gonna be bad.
Blessing
I think it looks like, like a, a fun double A experience. Like, I, I, I want riveted after
Tim Gettys
this trailer with no game. I'm done. It's over. Bam. Put it down. See, if you play, you ain't going to play this.
Blessing
Yeah, you came at us at that too.
Tim Gettys
I know, I know. I'm an.
Greg Miller
Then we had Evanescence come out and do the theme song to Devil may Cry Season 1 on Netflix that I highly recommend.
Tim Gettys
Pizza. Bet that they don't like it out.
Greg Miller
And here's another one of my, my Tim things of like, hey, I'm not telling you to watch all of Star Wars Visions. And if you don't want to watch all of Devil May Cry season one, just watch episode eight. It's one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen. I love it so much.
Roger
Okay.
Snowbike Mike
So good.
Greg Miller
It's so good. Tim agrees. Who to more Hussein.
Roger
Oh, Tim. Yeah.
Greg Miller
Okay, so I'm not alone here. I'm not crazy here. But yeah. DMC Season 2 premiering May 12th. Hopefully this will be the first time a DMC 2 is good. I expect that it will be. Then we have phasmophobia coming to switch to. Good for them.
Snowbike Mike
Congratulations on huge success. That's some of those games that, like, we don't really play in the office, but, like, is massive. The dead by daylight's out there.
Tim Gettys
What did it say? 25 million.
Snowbike Mike
Found an insane audience and just continues to go.
Roger
Do you think they'll put, like, use the camera so you can see your friends in the phasmophobia world running around? It's like, oh, that's Tommy. He's just smiling at the camera.
Snowbike Mike
I need a reason to use my camera. I'm not Too, too. I got.
Greg Miller
Then we had Hitman Patient Zero, Mila Jovovich, hot off the heels.
Tim Gettys
I just love that it was like all the Eminem thing. We're talking about it and like you guys do and then they just throw the patient zero art. You're like, what? The wait is like, we're going after Mila Jovovich in this mansion from Resident Evil? Hell yeah. Hell yeah.
Snowbike Mike
I'll play it 100%. I'm in. This is sick.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
We will have a stream of this
Blessing
in February featuring blockbuster actors.
Snowbike Mike
This shit's crazy, bro.
Greg Miller
Good for her.
Tim Gettys
Good for.
Greg Miller
We have Total War Warhammer 40K. David harbor is going to be in the game. From Creative Assembly. Experience the brutal fusion of galactic strategy and grim dark warfare in Total War Warhammer 40K. Take command of iconic factions, customize your war machine and engage in devastating battles as you carve a bloody war path across the stars.
Snowbike Mike
Yes. Yes, yes, yes. I dip my toe in on the last Total War Warhammer. And now I'm ready to just dive in and really get lost in the software. Us learn so much more. Of course, we had Space Marines last year, Space Marine 2 that we all had a really good time with. And it's just like I'm continuing more and more start to like Warhammer and that's like one of those things like, oh, that could be a problem. Problem.
Greg Miller
Then we finally got it after many, many years in predictions. Ace Combat 8 Wings of Thieve come in 2026. Soar through the skies and rise above every challenge to earn your place among the elite. Engage in intense aerial combat to dominate the battlefield with powerful weapons. Weapons. Experience a breathtaking campaign filled with high stakes missions, hard choices, and deep squad connections. I'm interested. I want to give it a shot. I highly doubt I'm gonna stick with it. That trailer gave me 8 out of 10 of the way of what I was hoping for. Because I've heard so much about the last game being like, yo, they deliver the anime that you're looking for. And I didn't get too much of that here, but excited for it. Hope it's good.
Blessing
I just want this to be. I know. It's like, I know Bandai Namco already came out with Armored Core 6 a couple years ago, but I. I want like this for a Gundam game.
Greg Miller
Oh,
Blessing
I don't love just flying a ship and having to turn around and like get like. I. I want to be in a sick mech with moments like that where NPCs are looking at me and being like, you got this big dog. It's got like I want that sort of anime hype, but I still feel like this can. It's real quick. It is super funny seeing those two villains right there because I was about to point out the Top Gun thing of like, yeah, the bad guys from a country we don't really know. Like, we're not gonna say Russia or China or whatever. Yeah, I, I think it looks super visually impressive, like the way the actual characters look in the game.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I wish they were like furry animals, you know what I mean?
Roger
You can do a barrel roll.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah. This is lit. This is super exciting. There's a lot of Ace Combat fans out there that are going to be really pumped up about this, this. And there's one man I want to play this game with and that's Kevin freaking Kella. We're going to set up the joystick and I'm sure me and him are going to have a fun filled, laughing afternoon that we just can't stop.
Roger
There's definitely the most I've wanted to play an Ace Combat game is watching this trailer. I think this looks really cool. I like, I like the character designs. Like, I didn't realize, I guess I didn't realize what Ace Combat was in energy. I always knew, okay, playing combat game, but seeing the characters reminds me of how I felt seeing like Monster Hunter Wilds trailers and seeing those characters are almost like, oh, you're realistic, but you look really cool. You look kind of cool. I look at these characters, I'm like, oh, I with this.
Blessing
I want to know who you are.
Roger
I want to know who you are. I want to know more about you.
Snowbike Mike
I want just a little Top Gun reference. Like someone's got to be Rooster. Maybe someone's hangman. Maybe it's Glenn Powell. Maybe he's in.
Greg Miller
He's not busy. Next up, I can't believe it. We got Star wars galactic racer coming. 2026 from Fuse Games who is made up of former devs of need for Speed, Speed and Burnout.
Roger
Burnout.
Greg Miller
What are we talking? What are we talking about? Oh, my God. Sevolva's here. Star wars introduces players to the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer rim where the galaxy's best pilots battle in dangerous races where only the bold survive. Slam, shunt and take down rivals as you pilot different classes of repulsorcraft, each with distinct physics and play styles. Speed across new and iconic Star wars planets. Mechanics where branching routes and varied environments ensure no two races play the same. At the heart of it all is Shade A lone racer with a dream of glory and revenge. Star wars racer. Revenge.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing
The name Shade is cool.
Greg Miller
Ride solo through a story driven campaign.
Blessing
Oh, cool.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Roger
Who wrote that story?
Greg Miller
Who do you know?
Tim Gettys
It's a bullet point.
Greg Miller
Okay, okay. Or battle for supremacy and competitive multiplayer braving. Strategic PvP grudge matches where reputation rides with you. You customize your build, unlock new abilities in every run and master brutal takedowns. No force, no prophecy, just skill, strategy and the will to rise. Oh my God. Tell that to Anakin. Did he cheat? We got to take that win back. Use the. Oh, Salivir Nelson Jr. Is writing this. What?
Tim Gettys
What?
Greg Miller
What?
Roger
When I tell you he is top one coolest person in the game's industry. He's number one.
Greg Miller
He blue sky saying, I can finally talk about this. I was lead writer on a Star wars game. So proud. Excited for y' all to see what team at Fuse are cooking up. It's a doozy.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah, clap that.
Greg Miller
Oh my God. This is just good news after good news about Dream percent what?
Roger
Insane. Insane. One of the most, like, creative people I think I've gotten the pleasure ever to talk to is working on as the lead writer for this video game. Somebody who's making big waves in the Indian indie part of the industry. Of course. Me and Greg did a gamescast with Salary Nelson earlier this year that you need to check out if you're at all interested in like, you know, the indie side of the industry, what we can do about the inside of the industry as far as being creative. Somebody who's working on a lot of cool, different weird ass projects and is being very transparent about the processes of getting those projects made. Highly recommend checking out that gamescast.
Greg Miller
Plus I need to hear like, what does this game do for you?
Roger
Oh, it does everything for me. Like go like turn the the clock back to, I think it was 2020 when on P.S. i love you. I couldn't stop talking about Star wars racer for on PlayStation 4 because they had ported the N64 game to Modern platforms and like I got to relive playing that game while getting all the trophies and all that stuff, right? Like Star Wars Racer to this day is a game that I will boot up and play and enjoy and have a blast with. Seeing it come back in the most unexpected way with all the right words attached to it does so much for me because I'm somebody who I don't really ask for more Star Wars Racer, but I'm always accepting a more Star wars racer. I am always asking for more Burnout Right. I am always asking for more of a fast paced, nice, chaotic racing game. And if you're not going to give me burnout, I'll very happily take a Star wars racer revival. And I'm. I want to hear more about you from the pod racer side of things because I don't mind it not having pod racers. That's not like a, you know, deal breaker for me. But I'm loving everything I'm seeing.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I mean, look, it's not a deal breaker for me. I just am such a pod racer fan and we just, we don't get pod racing stuff ever. I feel like we're getting it there, we're getting it right?
Snowbike Mike
He's there.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
He's the icon of it all.
Greg Miller
It seems like there might be a couple in there, but I just love the idea of pod racing, period. And there's been so many hints at it in the Star wars shows and movies recently. And like, I mean, honestly, they always just tease. So many people are mad about Last Jedi for a lot of reasons and they're the wrong reasons. The thing they should be mad at is that they weren't pod racers. They were the stupid horses. Instead they should have just been pod racers.
Roger
Yeah.
Greg Miller
And they weren't. And it broke my heart. But there were other times they've shown up. They're in bad batch, they're here, they're there, they're not enough places. So that's my only thing is I wish they were a little bit more prominent here. But real talk, not complaining at all. I think this is gonna be awesome. Every single thing we're seeing here, the different vehicle classes, I think actually could go a long way. And having like speeder bikes versus a bit more like tanky looking things. This is going to be great.
Snowbike Mike
I love that we got more playing in the sandbox. We always talk about this, right?
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Snowbike Mike
Step out, try different genres. A little sleeper hit that I always enjoyed with Star wars squadrons, with the boys. I enjoy when we're in this beloved universe that is Star wars and we say, hey, hey, let's step out. Just the third person action adventure game that we get all the time. Right. Let's get away from the first person shooter and let's try something different. So yeah, this is of course a big nostalgia play for all of us with pod racing on the N64. It's special. This is going to be exciting. The background of the burnout people and also need for speed. That's exciting. Right. And I'm willing to put a Little pizza bed down, right?
Tim Gettys
Oh yeah.
Snowbike Mike
There will be a mini Watto on a rear view. Little tag up on your rear view.
Tim Gettys
John Drake, don't fuck this up like a charm.
Snowbike Mike
A little charm.
Greg Miller
Oh my God. If small Watto pays off, get ready.
Tim Gettys
Don't this up, Andre.
Snowbike Mike
There will be somewhere in there on the rear view mirror, in your keys on the dash, little Wado shaking.
Blessing
I need someone to side by side Sebulba at the end there, like doing the little mustache, you know, tussle thing he does with the Rizzler. Doing the both the same energy.
Greg Miller
I don't want to go too long on this, but the last thing I want to say is like I'm so happy there's a story campaign. Yeah, that's really bad written by him. Like, oh my God, all that's so exciting. But yeah, this, I am very, very hyped for this. Also my computer is dead.
Roger
My computer is also dead.
Snowbike Mike
Would you like to take mine?
Tim Gettys
I would, sure.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Great.
Roger
Got it.
Greg Miller
Great.
Tim Gettys
Okay. Can I call a quick time out? Did he skip 007? I do believe he did skip Lenny Kravitz.
Snowbike Mike
We can't be skipping that.
Tim Gettys
You hate to see it. Everybody, let's go back to 007, first light and Lenny Kravitz. During the Game awards, the pirate King Bomber appeared in a brand new trailer holding James Bond as well as Bond's mentor, MI6 John Greenway. In a delicate situation. Aiming to remove any outside interference, Lenny Kravitz takes on the role of Bulma, providing both the voice and physical likeness of the character. His first major performance in a video game. Bulma is the enigmatic leader of Alpha no Alph, a vast black market arms network operating across the western hemisphere. By 17, he had risen through the ranks of modern piracy, transforming an abandoned space graveyard in Mauretinia.
Blessing
Huh?
Tim Gettys
To the foundation of his empire. And there he is. Bama.
Blessing
Wow.
Roger
Crazy.
Greg Miller
I mean, dude, this, this is what First Light needed, Michelle. It needed a shot in the arm of like, all right, cool, we, we really are bringing this stuff. A villain is debatably the most important part of a James Bond story. And someone with this much charisma, I think is the move that they need to make. Also this much star power for this video game, right? Like, I feel like when they showed who Bond was, I'm not hating on him at all. I just don't think that that was the most like, oh shit, it's this guy type thing. And also it wasn't a. Oh, we've Never heard of him before. It was kind of in between in a way that I think for the most part wasn't that exciting. We see the gameplay, it was very slow car driving and all that stuff. Gameplay for the assassination shit looked very Hitman Good, awesome, Like great. But this is the most sold I've been on the game so far.
Snowbike Mike
Yes. This is the style, this is the wow that you need. Especially at the game awards, we were talking about so many celebrity cameos. The question of, hey, how does James Bond come out and show out and make a big splash? That is exactly how you do it right here. And I'm very excited about it. I also feel like I'm having an out of body freaking experience because me and Roger did call forth upon Lenny Kravitz during our death stranding marathon streams. And I can't believe this man is in this video game right now. This is crazy.
Tim Gettys
So, Tim, my question to you, as somebody who knows the boy Bond movies incredibly well.
Blessing
No.
Tim Gettys
And understands the entertainment business, do you think this means Lenny Kravitz is doing the Bond theme for this game?
Greg Miller
No, I don't.
Tim Gettys
Oh, you gotta go my way.
Greg Miller
That'd be sick. But no, I don't think they're gonna do that.
Tim Gettys
Sucks.
Greg Miller
That'd be sick as hell, though.
Tim Gettys
Back on track to where we were after Galactic Racer, we had a quick out of words segment, but it wasn't really a segment. But it didn't seem like an ad either. But it was just like, hey, remember, out of words, that's still a game. That's happening. Find your lost voices in a co op platform adventure together with a friend via online cross platform or couch co op. Explore the wild, colorful realm of vocabulary as Kurt and Carla in a story about the first time they held hands where everything you see is crafted by hand. I was like, okay. But there was like no news out of it. But cool. We've been. We think this game's awesome and looks great. We'd love to play it, get more eyes on it. Yeah, sure. After that, it was the arknight Enfield segment again. And this was a paid segment. Release dates first January 22nd.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah. Beta going on right now. I interviewed them for a sponsored segment and they didn't have a date. They just said 2026. And I thought, oh, maybe we'd see it later on. But no, we're right around the corner from this. This is one that I do want to try outside of the sponsored segment. I want to try this. So I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Blessing
Bless Also had the observation, Tim, that imagine dragons stole the starting spot from one republic. Yeah, that one republic would have been the magic dragons. It weren't if it weren't for magic dragons coming in.
Roger
And ever since the magic dragons hit the streets, like, we've not heard from one republic since.
Blessing
Yeah, I don't.
Greg Miller
I don't know that I agree with that. I. You're right, factually, but I don't think that causation equals.
Roger
It's too late to apologize to him.
Greg Miller
It's.
Snowbike Mike
Damn.
Tim Gettys
Damn.
Greg Miller
You got me, bus.
Roger
That was great.
Greg Miller
That was really good. Really, really good.
Tim Gettys
That.
Blessing
That was the Reese's.
Roger
I've had one meal today, by the way.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I saw your things still out there like. Cap, dude, you should.
Roger
I'll keep it for tomorrow.
Tim Gettys
Okay. Well, I mean, that's. Chipotle is sitting there for nine hours. Chat sounded off about it and I'm. I gotta hear Polygon reports. This is old Lana Del Rey. Have fans have figured out she might be doing the bond theme for 007 first light.
Roger
Wow.
Tim Gettys
This is Devin McClure. October 21st. It seems 007 first light may be getting the same theme song treatment as the film franchise. Fans are theorizing Lana Del Rey. Del Rey is at the helm. It wouldn't be the first time. Summertime, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. The theory about Del Rey's return to the James Bond universe has sprung from a newly registered song on ascap, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, by artist Elizabeth Grant. Del Rey's real name. The song titled First Light, which has led to speculation on Reddit that she will be doing it.
Greg Miller
A lot of Del Rey Bond theme sounds incredible, but returning.
Tim Gettys
I powered through just to get you there. Sorry. It wouldn't be the first time she's done something. She previously made the song 24 for Spectre, but Sam Smith's Writing on the Wall was ultimately chosen instead.
Greg Miller
That was a fact we read on in review.
Blessing
Wow.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I love it.
Tim Gettys
Is it a fact I don't know. 007 Scavino, you make a song for Great Gatsby.
Greg Miller
Oh, yeah.
Roger
That was a good song.
Snowbike Mike
Oh, yeah.
Tim Gettys
From there we went to Phantom Blade Zero s game presents Phantom Blade Zero. A fusion of classic Wua.
Roger
Right?
Tim Gettys
Telling and exhilarating action. Powered by Unreal Engine 5. You play as Soul, a warrior with only 66 days left to live. Fend off assassins, unravel world ending conspiracies and defend your values with your life. Of course, the news here is that it's coming out on September 9, 2026, Andy Cortez drained it from half court on that prediction.
Blessing
This game looks so good, man. Like, aside from whatever we're seeing in these little, little cutscenes.
Tim Gettys
And I kind of.
Blessing
I was right there with Bless. As soon as we saw the kicks when he jumps up, I was like, oh, I. I think this. I think we're getting it right here. Michael's close. Close. With Max Payne, though.
Greg Miller
I had a crazy feeling.
Blessing
Yes.
Greg Miller
One of the funniest guesses I've ever seen.
Blessing
Yeah, I think it looks amazing.
Snowbike Mike
And.
Blessing
And this is like the most developed we've seen this game where it's. Anytime we've seen it in the past, like three or maybe four times or whatever, and you played it played twice. It's always very, very, like, contained. Everything is like, here's this boss fight. Here's this one location. They showed off so damn much in this trailer. Like, I. I'm shocked that it is a 2026 game. I really can't believe that.
Tim Gettys
Believe it it, apparently.
Greg Miller
And I like it. Calling the shot for September. That's cool.
Blessing
Yeah. Get out right before November.
Greg Miller
Looks incredible.
Tim Gettys
From there, we went into Mega man Dual overdrive. 2027. Coming to everything we talked about at the top of the show, obviously one of the biggest surprise announcements of the show. Tim didn't do it for you, though?
Greg Miller
Yeah, I mean, I. I already said this, but like, real talk, like, doing a buildup right before the game of the year, like, like, this seems like a new spot for Jeff shows.
Tim Gettys
Right?
Greg Miller
Like, this is now two years in a row that he's done this two years in a row for Capcom announcements which, like, legacy franchises coming back that are very exciting. You don't use the Dr. Wy theme if you don't have the goods.
Snowbike Mike
Right.
Greg Miller
And I. I don't want to, like, say this wasn't the goods, but this wasn't the greats. Like, this definitely could have been more. I. I'm hoping that this is better than the last Mega man game that we got not a decade ago at this point, because it has been a while. But I mean, you see this and you hear the music they're playing, and you have a lot higher expectations, I think, than what follows.
Blessing
So, yeah, like, I.
Roger
If.
Blessing
If you're not gonna do the full sort of 3D God of war thing, I would have honestly loved to have seen a. Like, if you told me that this was going to be the same artists and the same team from Cosmic Invasion or something, and we got Pixel art. Like a return to pixel art would have been awesome. Or a full kind of reimagining of what Mega man is like. I. I know, you know, maybe Legend style, ish, but just like bringing it into something else. But there's ways to also make a 2D game still look amazing, obviously. Like there's. I'm not trying to just write off 2D platformers as a genre but. But this just didn't look great to
Greg Miller
get even a little further into hater mode. Like the music that followed this bit didn't really love the visuals of it. Actively didn't like overdrive. I'm like, what are we doing here? Or Duel over dual, whatever the hell it's called. I'm like, it doesn't make this feel like a serious project compared to things. And getting the little date reveal thing and it's 2027 for this. It's like, yeah, a lot of that stuff. I'm like, oof. What a. What a misstep for one of the final announcements of a show that I thought was killer.
Blessing
Otherwise maybe we get the, the, the Ubisoft Sands of Time treatment for it. And they're like, actually we're going to put it back in the oven for another four years. Let's actually completely change it.
Tim Gettys
There is a boss design contest going on. I have seen making the rounds. Chad is asking if you're going to do it, Andy, if you'll get in there and design a boss.
Greg Miller
Whoa.
Roger
Boss design content.
Blessing
Sure. Yeah.
Roger
Does it get put in the game?
Tim Gettys
Yeah. I'm trying to get you actual information about it. Hold on.
Roger
What was the Joseph Gordon Levitt thing for? Beyond Good and Evil too.
Greg Miller
Hit record. Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Press release here. This month, Capcom will host a special boss design contest for Mega Man Dual Override, where fans will have their Chance to help Dr. Wily create a brand new master robot Master to appear in the game. There's a website, obviously. I sincerely doubt it.
Greg Miller
You get your name?
Blessing
Yeah.
Roger
I want money and a lot of it prizes.
Tim Gettys
We will pick, pick the six best entries and select one winner among them. Grand prize winner will be one person your robot master will design will be used in the game. The Excellence award will six winners. Your name will appear in the credits of the game. I mean like there, you know, they just want you to draw a robot. I'm gonna take a photo of Chip and send it. What are your designers doing?
Blessing
What you gotta do is like. Like just, just get Tim's face and just put it like in a box. Like get his chest and put it in a rectangle. Like,
Tim Gettys
I'm just going to send a photo of Tim. All right, sorry. After that, we got the Mario movie clip. Mario?
Greg Miller
Yeah. Bowser Jr. Big let down for me, especially following what they did for the first movie. I understand this is the second. Different marketing, different understanding of, like, what they're doing and what they're trying to hold back.
Blessing
Back.
Greg Miller
Clearly they're trying to hold some things back for this one. We have a lot of big movies coming out the next couple months. They're going to want to attach their trailers and their biggest moments there. But yeah, this. This clip once again, just used the same music from the last couple trailers from the first movie, which is clearly, like, placeholder. This stuff's good, but not much new was shown here. Luigi doing some, like, referential moves. That's cool. But, like, overall, this anything, I would have been like, like, oh, they're going to show a new character like Yoshi or a new voice or something. They didn't do that.
Blessing
Why is he all blue and purple?
Greg Miller
You play Mario Wonder. I didn't beat it with the Wonder Seed flower.
Roger
Yeah, I agree.
Tim Gettys
Did anyone? Who is Bowser Jr's voice? I thought you guys said it.
Greg Miller
Benny Safdy.
Tim Gettys
Who's that?
Greg Miller
Him and his brother are our big directors. Uncut Gems.
Tim Gettys
Okay, sure.
Greg Miller
He's also an actor. He was in the Curse.
Blessing
Did you see Oppenheimer?
Tim Gettys
I did. He was the guy she wanted to shake his hand.
Blessing
Bigger bomb guy.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. From there, we went to the one and only Neo 3. We found out that it's coming out February 6, 2026, with a demo releasing January 29, 2020 26, instead of Oppenheimer.
Blessing
Mike, I was so close to saying Heimer Dinger
Snowbike Mike
in that league.
Greg Miller
I thought you were talking about. We didn't get Fall Fantasy.
Blessing
Oh, you're dropping your score, huh?
Greg Miller
No.
Blessing
Oh, okay.
Greg Miller
No, no, no. I'm just sad.
Tim Gettys
Anybody care about Neother?
Blessing
I mean, I. I'll. I will play it. I feel like I'm. I. I kind of have to play these in a. Because I'm. I mean, in. I'm interested in hopes that they, you know, have really, really, like, gotten better and advanced the genre because I've haven't been in love with some of the more recent entries. When we talk about Ninja Wo Long
Roger
and W and Rise of the Ronin.
Blessing
Rise of the Ronin.
Roger
Yeah. And then what was the. Oh, Stranger Paradise. Which that was. That was a fun one.
Blessing
They've always been fun to Play. It's just everything around it has always been like, kind of lacking when it comes to the story and characters.
Roger
Yeah, I think I've. I've gotten a bit burnt out on their games, but I will. I'll check this one out because it's a Neo, and I know Neo is the most revered out of all the franchises. They do, so I feel like there's a duty changer.
Blessing
Paradise is probably my favorite of all those.
Roger
Honestly. Same.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
And then our final game announcement of the evening. High Guard 61 former members of Respawn have spun off and started Wildlight Entertainment. From the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall comes High Guard, a PvP raid shooter where players will ride, fight and raid as wardens. Arcane gunslingers sent to fight for control of a mythical content. This one dropping incredibly soon. January 26, 2026.
Blessing
So these people are those, like, those are just like NPCs in the world probably to build your level up, I'm assuming if it's like raid style type.
Snowbike Mike
Like I was thinking there was going to be PvE in this as well, Andy. That guarding some sort of treasure that you and your team are going towards while the other teams are coming at it as well. Right. To level you up. It looks like we have some hero abilities on this. So you are probably getting more and more powerful. Maybe you're getting different guns and abilities like an Apex Legends. This is going to be an uphill one, right? I think the excitement for me when I think of Apex Legends and that announcement. Announcement. At first, when Jeff Keighley was talking about this, I was like, oh, like I'm getting a little excited here. Former Apex devs. He's already played it. It's coming out next month. Like, this is a crazy formula. Jeff, what. What are you going to show me? And then they showed and it's like, ooh, it's got the gunplay of Apex Legends that I love. I do love a good multiplayer. But I don't know if this showed as well as like an Apex Legends back in the day where it's like drop everything. Yeah, we're about to do this, right? Like, there's a big fatigue of PvP games out there that the audience, just the general audience is having and experiencing. But at the same time, there are people that are like me who are always looking for something new, something different, something fun. Right. And you're at this battle royale fatigue, slash extraction shooter fatigue, and you're trying to find where you want to be. And this new idea of like A raid, right? Like, what does that really mean? My closest one that I can guess is Hood, Hood, Outlaws and Legends, oddly enough, which was just a Assassin's Creed stealth multiplayer game. Where it is, hey, there's multiple teams here. In the middle is the biggest castle. Down in the center of the castle is the big prize. You and your team are going to work your way to get to that and you're going to bang into other teams and only one team is going to be able to extract with that alive and win it. All right. And so, so I don't know. I. I'm very excited to play this, but I'm apprehensive.
Blessing
I don't.
Snowbike Mike
Apprehensive.
Blessing
I don't love the art we see in this little trailer where they went down to get that sword. And the sword is what activates that big sort of siege almost Trojan horse type like vehicle that I'm assuming opens up and either another team is defending that already or other teams are just trying to go for that thing. So it kind of of also reminds me of Hunt Showdown Mike, where you were trying to play for an objective while other teams are also trying to play for that objective.
Roger
Yeah, I think it's so tough to try and show these games off at a show like this. Right. Like, you know, I understand the excitement of being able to close game awards and what that does as far as the notoriety and getting the name of the game out there, which is huge. But when you talk about Apex, I think one of the bit. One of the best things APEX did was, hey, you can play the game right now. Here's the new game, Apex Legends. Your favorite creators already have impressions. And also you can download the game and play it right now. Now, even if the game's not ready for a month and a half or however long it is, I think they needed a. Hey, here's a. Here's a weekend beta that you can play right now so you can get a taste of the game. Be like, oh shit, I need to come back to this, take it away and have it be the talk of the town for the next month and a half until it comes out and we get to play it fully. I think for this to not, not only just close game awards, because I think we all agree that this is a weird one to close on. But even just having it here, it's I, I think in commonality we all have the thing of. All right, well, what exactly is the flow of it? What is the structure of this game? Right? And those are things where, where you could talk about it in the trailer, but even when you do that, you start to lose people. It starts to become too long of a trailer and stuff. So I don't think this is the best showing. Even though I think this game does look exciting, I can't wait for it to come out. Yeah, I think this is a tough one.
Greg Miller
Yeah. Horrible finish, I'd say, with this one.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah. Tim, of course, when we talk about the finale of all of this, right? And you kind of see the dip in a lot of us. And I definitely saw it in the audience from Mega man to here, there was a clear dip of like, oh, we were riding a roller coaster and we were riding the hype highs. Jeff had bangers and then we finished with that. And I think a lot of people were like, o, that's not how you finish.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I mean, I bet they paid. That to me screams payola.
Snowbike Mike
Big money.
Tim Gettys
Cool.
Greg Miller
They did it and they got that spot and they got more eyes. For better or worse, we'll see if that's like worth it at the end of the day for them. But that's the game awards, everyone. 2025. Like I've been saying a couple times throughout the show, tomorrow's games cast is going to be us talking about your hot take takes on the game awards. We put out a tweet and a blue sky asking for them. So please go over to kind of funny vids on those platforms and leave your responses. We'll go through them on that show tomorrow.
Tim Gettys
Before we get out of here, just a few hot takes from people who super chatted. You know what I mean? Why not, right? Aaron Lime said a few exciting announcements. Ace Combat Gang of Dragon Mega man. But overall disappointing show. Nothing to be done because it's a busy year. But I feel some judges needed to play more games to broaden the range. Silent Hill F was robbed. Lol. Ambrosia said Tim is crushing it tonight. Tim, you did a great job.
Blessing
Great job, Tim.
Greg Miller
I appreciate that.
Tim Gettys
Ting and Cot said cheers for Control residents about that Ambrosia jam. But imagine another world where Fred Durst was in Resident Evil 6. Oh, we could have had that. You know, in this the universe El Prezo says would have loved anything from Sony Santa Monica. And then I like this one to close this out. Remember, of course we want your hot takes for free. Over on all the different things Kobe writes in it says just went to the TGA's for the first time. Was electric. Just wanted to say great job. All for going. They just wanted to say Great job all for going all night. Love what you do.
Blessing
Thank you.
Tim Gettys
We love you and couldn't do that.
Blessing
Go say hi to Bear. He's there somewhere.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah, go find Bear.
Greg Miller
Buy him a drink.
Snowbike Mike
Yeah, make him happy.
Tim Gettys
I guarantee he's had too many already.
Blessing
He's asleep in the auditorium right now.
Tim Gettys
Tim, back to you.
Greg Miller
Back to me, everybody. And hey, back to you. Please comment below with what you thought of the show. Go to the places we just told you for Gamescast tomorrow. Thank you so much for hanging out with us all day long, all night long. And hey, all day tomorrow. It's going to be a great time. We only have one week left of kind of funny content in 2025. I don't know that we've officially said this anywhere, but we should probably start telling people. January 1st 5th will be our return in 2026. It will be, I think, the first time we've done a kind of funny day on January 5th since our first one back in.
Tim Gettys
Really?
Roger
I don't know.
Tim Gettys
That's crazy.
Roger
Somewhere around K. G. Where you at?
Snowbike Mike
I don't know if that adds up.
Greg Miller
Yeah, I don't know. Sometimes we've done it on different days because of how things work. I don't know.
Snowbike Mike
There's seven days in a year every seven. You think?
Tim Gettys
Yeah, but like, we. We don't want to come back in the middle on a Wednesday or. You know what I mean?
Greg Miller
There was some years we didn't do. Kind of funny day in January. It's a whole thing. Anybody's, whatever. Doesn't matter. January 5th.
Tim Gettys
Saying it's cool. It's going to be a big deal. January 5th.
Greg Miller
It's going to be exciting. There will be announcements. There'll be us. Hopefully there'll be you. Thank you. Till next time. Love you all. Goodbye.
Roger
All right, everybody.
