Game showdown a day early due to scheduling, but it's going to be a good one.
Greg Miller
It is going to be a good one, Tim.
Mike
A real good one.
Greg Miller
Things have been really good on that show, of course, since I got back Team Orange. All right. Oh, it's been an uphill struggle to wrestle Team Orange away from the grubby little hands of Tim Gettys. And honestly, as much as I want to compliment myself on turning my season around, Andy, as much as I want to compliment you and Mike, thank you on a great showing here.
Andy Cortez
I only have one win, that's all. Mike, you know, as much as I
Greg Miller
want to shit talk Tim for just being an embarrassment as Team Blue, who I really want to do, who I really want to support, who I really want to praise is the host of this show, Blessing, Eddie Oy Jr. Okay. As you all know, I want this thing fair and down the middle. And Blessing, he could have stood in the way of what was right and letting me get Team Orange back, but he didn't. He said, I understand this will make the content better, this will make the show better, this will make Tim's life worse. And he allowed this to happen. And there's a lot of collusion in Showcase and Showdown in the. The Fantasy Critic. We do. And it usually comes back to Roger.
Blessing
Yeah.
Greg Miller
So bless. I want to compliment. Can we get a round of applause for Blessing for being fair, happening, impartial, calling it down the middle and so that you continue to call it down the middle.
Andy Cortez
All right.
Greg Miller
To keep it fair, I got you something.
Tim Gettys
Okay.
Blessing
Oh, no.
Tim Gettys
Wow.
Blessing
I don't accept.
Mike
Oh, my God. I love gifts from Greg.
Tim Gettys
That's so cool.
Mike
You got a gift from him.
Tim Gettys
Wow.
Blessing
Wait, that's a big box.
Tim Gettys
Hold on.
Andy Cortez
What is in this box?
Greg Miller
Let me talk in here. I thought you're doing such a good job, I'd give you a PlayStation 5 Pro.
Mike
No shot.
Blessing
Really?
Tim Gettys
Oh, wow.
Blessing
Wow. Holy.
Andy Cortez
Oh, I don't.
Greg Miller
I don't know if you're still a physical media. I got you the disc drive. I just want to make sure we're taking care of, you know, a host here.
Andy Cortez
Wow.
Greg Miller
Who's been impartial and we'll continue to call it down the line. All right, that's what I need right now from you.
Mike
Should we buy things first?
Blessing
I don't know if I trust what's going on. I will accept the place.
Greg Miller
It's all barren down the middle.
Blessing
Don't worry, this will not affect, you know, my hope.
Greg Miller
Our friends at PlayStation said we want to help you, Greg, continue to steamroll as team Orange. I said thank you PlayStation. And so there you go.
Blessing
You're also not affect, you know, me being fair on game showdown, whatever there's
Andy Cortez
ever posts about that I need like what's the equivalent of the APAC tracker? Seeing, like seeing how Israel donates to people. But it's going to be like blessing accepted appeal.
Tim Gettys
I do like that it's still sealed because my first thought was what is in the box?
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Greg Miller
You know he could have resealed.
Tim Gettys
He could have.
Greg Miller
There's no shenanigans at play. This is just me trying to take care of somebody who I think is doing a good job out there.
Blessing
All right, well, I thank you, Greg. I appreciate.
Greg Miller
You're welcome. Anytime, anytime.
Blessing
Thank you. PlayStation. Do they send?
Greg Miller
Yes.
Blessing
Okay. Thank you. PlayStation for the PS5, bro.
Tim Gettys
It's game showdown and then after that the boys are streaming player unknowns Prologue Go way back.
Mike
Brand new survival game just hit.
Andy Cortez
What if we didn't
Mike
get ready? Everyone that's not me if you're a
Tim Gettys
kind of funny member, Today's Greg Way 16 minutes about game awards, hype and what some 8 year old should play.
Mike
Okay,
Tim Gettys
all right.
Greg Miller
I'm having fun out there.
Mike
I'm tired.
Tim Gettys
Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Psalm Twining for now, let's start with the topic of the show. We just watched the Xbox Partner Preview November 2025 and I want to hear all of your thoughts. I want to hear from one man in particular because I don't think I heard from him in the last hour and a half.
Andy Cortez
I didn't know he was here until he.
Mike
Wow. You want to start with me?
Tim Gettys
I do. You were. You were oddly quiet for a reaction.
Mike
Yeah, this one didn't hit for me, Tim. There was something missing. There was an X factor missing there. There was a punch to it. I don't know if the audio was off. I don't know if it was. The games that I was seeing weren't speaking to me but man, I really didn't get up until we saw Zoo Punk which was my highlight of the show. Moving into hitman slash Slim Shady.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Mike
That was a fun little crossover there. I think Tides showed well, but of course you knew it was going to show well, it's a very flashy game, but I go down the list. Sixteen games, three out now, which is exciting for Xbox players. But that whole first half of the first half really didn't pop. Crow Sworn, of course, looks good, but that's already a known for me. I didn't love the look of much else of this one, Tim, so it's hard. I think it's right down the middle of like, this was a fine partner preview for me.
Andy Cortez
Right.
Mike
There were some unknowns out there that came into my life that either I like or I didn't like. There were some known quantities there that got dates of 20 or 26, which is fine. But nothing popped for me, Tim, throughout this.
Greg Miller
Don't be like this. You come out, you use this adjective. Fine. Yeah, we have 10 adjectives. Kevin, throw them up. Put it on the. Kind of throw the number. Where are we doing this on the review scale right now?
Mike
I'm going to give this a solid 5. Mediocre right down the middle. Just a mediocre showcase.
Tim Gettys
Andy Cortez, do you agree with that?
Andy Cortez
I am maybe one point higher. I'd go with an okay showcase. A six out of 10 for me. I do think it was weird that they didn't end with Tides Annihilation. I thought that game looked freaking fantastic. And the visuals being shown there and everything they're trying to do there shows me this is like they're going for it. That's going to. That's a game that's very, very ambitious with what it's doing and ending with the sequel to Raji, which, like, I just didn't really think Raji hit with that many people in the first place. The first version that came out in 2020, but it was awesome seeing Crow Sworn and a lot of Crow Sword. Like, that was a lot of footage for a game that I'm looking very, very much forward to. Vampire Crawlers was a standout. I thought it was an okay show. Aside from, like, I. There was just a lot in there that I don't know was super worth my time but. Or just things that are necessarily for me, but I love these things anyway. I love seeing new games and being reminded about games coming out and spending
Greg Miller
time with each other.
Mike
We were promised James Bond double oh seven content. And your question was, how do you come off of a showing that was kind of middle of the pack the last time? IO Interactive brought it to the table. There was a 45 second walk and talk, a walk and drive that didn't open well for James Bond. The rest of it, kind of run of the mill what you would expect from James Bond and IO Interactive. Hey, there's this open sandbox. Go do your thing, James Bond. See where you're going to get involved. And we liked that. There was some fun action scenes in that and we said, okay, can you follow that up? When they said the promise that James Bond was going to be here, I thought in my mind driving. And I said, how do you show James Bond again after learning what you learned the last time? And then for them to be like, aston Martin has teamed up with us. No shit. I knew that was going to happen. But now the question is like, how much is this car in the game?
Tim Gettys
Right?
Mike
When I think of an IO interactive game, I think of James Bond. There's this push and pull of vehicular combat slash driving in general in the game. It's like, how much is this really going to be in there? I don't know. But also I don't think it's a huge factor for me.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I mean you're, you're right on the money there, Mike. Because I don't for anybody who's, who wants to be sold on James Bond first light. For me, at least it isn't. We got the brand ass in market.
Greg Miller
We got the car.
Andy Cortez
I could not give a lesser fuck about like a car brand tie in. Like I need to be shown more of the game and why it wants it begs to be played, you know. And so I just, I just don't care about this at all.
Greg Miller
Again, I think it's such a weird. I mean this is a funny. Because it's a stupid way to do this and promote. You're going to do this. But a weird way to show it where like you, I feel like, like Kevin, you can scroll back to the very opening. Clearly there's a moment in the game where the car is revealed to him, right? Because we're here in the little testing factory. The dude looks at him. They all walk up like, why not do it where it is? Gameplay. We walk into it. Hey, James, I have something to show you. It's the Aston Mart, blah, blah. And then cut to a mission of driving it around, doing whatever, using the gadgets. Then do this very Gran Turismo. Almost like, hey, let's have this sexy look and talk about what's really under the hood of this car that you
Andy Cortez
don't care about you need to show this at the end of a new gameplay segment. Like it's not the fact that it exists that I don't like. It's the fact that it was the only thing that existed. Like this needs to be after a brand new segment and then go. And also the. We got the Aston Martin licensing or whatever and you know, obviously brand deals are brand deals. You have to coordinate with the brands and they tell you kind of how they want to be showcased. But when if that's the only real thing you're showing off, it is kind of a bummer.
Tim Gettys
Bless. What do you think?
Blessing
Yeah, I. I think overall I thought it was okay. You know, I mean, like if I'm giving it a score on the scale, I'll lean towards a 6.5. But I do think the 007 thing is egregious to the where I would actually give it a 5.5 overall. That does bring it down like a full point for me. But outside of that, these, these things are going to hit for you as much as the games are going to hit for you. And for me, quite a few games here did hit for me. I look at Armadis that they started off with and that being a returnal like game is going to be as good as returnal. Probably not because that was generational, but I'm down for more of those types of third person action Roglite type games. Vampire Crawlers for me is somebody who didn't really get that super into vampire survivors. I look at Crawlers and I'm like, oh shit, that looks like it's. For me that more looks more aligned with what I like out of games. And so I'm excited to see that. Zoo Punk was a nice surprise. I thought that game looked really good, you know, during the thing we're talking about it looking like it might be like 1.5 a. I would even go as far as to say it looks double A. If not maybe even double A and a half. To me I think that game looks fucking awesome. It looks like a type of action game where the action hopefully Fingers crossed will feel right. And there is a unique inspired energy to it when you're looking at these anthropomorphic animal characters.
Tim Gettys
Right.
Blessing
I really like what they're bringing to the table with that Eminem and Hitman. I mean, come on, you're speaking to me with that. Especially as somebody who loves Hitman and as somebody who loves Eminem. Fuck yeah. I'm going to hop in for that. Yeah. Overall, even Raji Kaliuga I didn't get that into the first Raji game, but I thought that trailer looked cool. It reminded me a little bit of like Hellblade in terms of how they kind of like did the cinematic presentation of it. I could see that being a step up from what they brought with the first game and so I'm looking forward to that. I agree that that's a weird one to close on. Tides of Annihilation was definitely the standout as far as spectacle and so that would have made more sense to close on. But ultimately I had a good time.
Tim Gettys
Greg.
Greg Miller
Yeah, echoing what every else said. I'm a flat six six out of ten on this one. It was okay. I had fun obviously hanging out with you guys, as always do. And when they do an Xbox partner preview program, I wasn't expecting this to be 10 out of 10. Oh my God, my hair's on fire. And so it delivered what I want out of these. I saw a bunch of games that yeah, I don't care about, but then got turned on to new stuff.
Andy Cortez
Right.
Greg Miller
Of like, yeah, Xbox Echo Generation 2 looks like my kind of shit. I like that idea. Vampire Crawlers again. I love Vampire Survivors and what Punkle does over there. So as somebody who's never really been into first person, well, I guess that's not true. I like Severed but like for card based first person dungeon crawling, like their humorous take on it and the way I know their systems work, I know I'll get deep into that. And then Erosion I thought looked awesome too. And then I have always been like, actually not always, but recently I've been on some a tear of like, why didn't I ever get into Hitman World of Assassination. So like this idea of dropping Eminem and I want to see that, I want to play that. I could see me around that too. So yeah, it was okay. I had fun. I'm glad we did it.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. I think I'm a little higher than you guys it seems, but like with the same energy where I would have given it a 7. But I think I'm settling on 6.5 because of the presentation issues with ending with Raji and 007 having a piss poor showing when I think it really needs something stronger. We do have Game Awards right around the corner, which I do think we'll get more from 007. But this presentation was on the back of tides, 007 and reanimal. And for that to be the showing is it really kind of feels like a bait and switch, which is not great. But I think that this didn't waste my time really. I feel like we all of us kind of named. Some of us had overlaps in games that we're talking about, but everyone said something different of what spoke to them from this. I don't think that there was too many like, oh, this just looks like something we've seen 10 bazillion times. That happens a lot with PlayStation showcases or Nintendo showcases sometimes. So I do think that like within this, like there was a variety of gameplay styles. Not the best thing I've ever seen, but yeah, the new debut of Zoo Punk, I'm all about that. That looks so up my alley and excited to get a brand new game. I've never heard of Crow Sworn and that looks rad. Having just played so much of Silksong, I want another one. And we see so many Hollow Knight likes, but they're not Hollow Knight. And you look at that one, you're like, it's not gonna be Hollow Knight, but it could have the stuff, right, Andy?
Andy Cortez
Yeah, it's awesome. Yeah, I played it. Yeah, it's really, really damn good. The shows off really well visually. But yeah, when it comes to telegraph the boss fights and dodging and you know, you're. You're a crow with like the Eileen mask from Bloodborne and you have a. A scythe and a gun. Like that's just. It's so sick, so cool.
Tim Gettys
And yeah, the point of showcases is like putting games on people's radars. And I know Reanimal was a game that existed, but it wasn't until today that I'm like, oh, this looks like it matters to me. Like this looks great and it's coming very soon. So yeah, I think the showcase did its job there. And Tides of Annihilation I continue to just be incredibly impressed by in different ways now. Because when we first saw that debut trailer, I was just all about the vibe in the world and it seeming kind of like more like a 3D action game, like exploring the the city. Then seeing these boss fights, I'm like, oh my God, this is some Final Fantasy 16 crazy scale epic fights. I am even more impressed with titles of Annihilation and it's the perfect type of game that we now can look at and be like, I don't think that that's real. Maybe it comes out and is amazing like Expedition 33. That is the loftiest expectation to put on the game. But I feel like a year ago I would have looked at this and been like, there's not a chance this comes out and if it does, it's going to be dog shit. And I'm like, I believe this game comes out and I believe it's going to be at the very least, good. So, yeah, all that stuff, I'm like, yeah, there's a lot of great stuff. Eminem was a fun little surprise there. Yeah, I think pacing issues and some just weird focus stuff and slip it in the Xbox full screen. Coming to PC at the very end without any like explanation. A little weird. I know it's not like the biggest news necessarily, but it continues the, in my opinion, very janky, weird rollout of this Xbox PC world that we're in.
Mike
You could make that look flashy too, Tim. You know that even 15 seconds, 20 seconds things you could have presented that and made it look flashy enough on the screen just to be like, hey, Blessing, this is what it looks like, right? Hey, Mike, did you know it's finally here? Like that's all I needed here.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, I think they don't, they don't want you to look at it because it's not that pretty.
Mike
Of course.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Yet, you know, maybe one day. All right, let's get into game by game. As they announced them and showed them Armadis. It's a third person roguelite shooter set in the demon infested ruins of Paris. As the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order armed with powerful firearms, incredible celestial powers, scour the city in search of a lost gateway to the heavens, the Sunless Gate. It's coming everywhere, including Switch 2 2026. Still weird seeing PlayStation and Switch logos all over an Xbox showcase. But this is the new world.
Greg Miller
This is the new world order.
Tim Gettys
This stand out to anybody?
Blessing
I mean, yeah, just for the sense of it being more of a type of game that I like. Right. Andy was mentioning it during the thing of being surprised, maybe it was me that mentioned it. Being surprised that we don't see more returnal inspired games directly. And I think we will. I think we'll. And maybe not even just Returnal, but I guess Risk of Rain two or more Roguelite games that are these third person action games. I want to see more of these that are co op. I want to see more of these that have multiplayer to them as well. I know you guys talk about Remnant from the Ashes, but that's not Roguelite. Right. It's more souls like ish in. In nature. I think there's space for more games like this. So I, I really like seeing this pop up and I like seeing the setting and like the energy of it be this darker tone, this more fantasy adjacent thing as opposed to the pure sci fi space stuff going on in Returnal. Even though this main character almost looks like they could have like a sci fi thing to him. But I like this a lot.
Mike
I'd bring back brute force, make it. That's a little pull for you right there.
Tim Gettys
One of Xbox's greatest moments.
Mike
Yeah, I'd make that multiplayer for bless and bring it back like that. Yeah, I mean this looks flashy. It looks fun. I am a sucker for a good shooter game. I loved my experience co op with Andy when we played Returnal and if these games really hit like I think a doom, doom, the dark ages this year that I just loved.
Blessing
Right.
Mike
If you can give me that bullet, hell, dodge everything on the screen, find your openings and take advantage of it in a cool world that I want to be in. I'm definitely in this one. This one got a mid for me. It didn't jump off the page, but it was definitely like, all right, I'll put that in my back pocket in case I ever need a night of gaming and I want to see something new.
Andy Cortez
It looks like it's going to be a very fun 7 out of 10 in the best way possible. Like how I felt with Outriders and a lot of other very AA games that maybe try to, you know, outkick their coverage. Maybe, you know, try to like really, really shoot for the stars and either don't have quite the team or the budget to hit them, but you, you apply the ambition. But yeah, I generally like a lot of shooters with this third person camera fullback, you know, pullback, very far style, dodging all the enemies, getting really cool weapons and finding abilities and weapons during a run that make the run feel worth it. Like that's always, I think that's like a hallmark for Roguelite games for me.
Tim Gettys
Before we got into the, the games I forgot to bring up, was there anything that y' all expected to see here that wasn't? Obviously Silent Hill 2, I think is the big one.
Blessing
That's right. Silent Hill 2. I mean, given the fact that it's seemingly shadow dropping today on Xbox, I would have thought for sure. Okay, yeah, you show that off here, so that's a surprise not to see it.
Tim Gettys
Anything else?
Mike
No. With games like Contraband that have been canceled now, with other, you know, parties that they would have been involved with, I, I, I kind of had a, a blank slate of games that I was looking for from a partner preview program here.
Tim Gettys
Moving on then to the mound omen of the Cthulu in up to four player co op form a group of explorers searching for treasure in this cursed jungle. Dangers everywhere and monstrous creatures alter reality. Stay clear headed and tame the jungle before it devours you. Summer 2026 this one I've had on
Mike
my list for quite some time for a Mike, Nick and Andy type type stream. We've been playing Hunt Showdown. We've been into these kind of hardcore extraction shooters, Slash the Ashes co op shooters and so yeah, anytime you can put four people in a space, we can go have fun in the playground. And maybe it's a difficult setting like GTFO as well. These are games that we want to play. These are games I want to play with my friends and so let's see how this one goes. I don't have high hopes for it, but I think you can deliver a really fun experience in that kind of genre that I'm setting up there.
Greg Miller
You're back to it, right? Of like, what are you trying to deliver with a game like this? Are you trying to deliver the next Arc Raiders that's going to go on for months and months and months or are you trying to give people, hey, we want you to get in, have weekends of fun with this game. Maybe we update it down the line and give you another reason to jump back in with those people.
Tim Gettys
Dandy. Does this do anything for you?
Andy Cortez
Not really like art style or setting wise. But I'm always down to play a first person or third person shooter with friends. Like it's always a fun time for me regardless, but it's not doing the most for me setting wise.
Tim Gettys
Next up we have Dave the Diver that's out today on Xbox. Wow. The Jungle DLC in early 2026. Yeah, interesting.
Greg Miller
More just the fact that, oh, this wasn't there. Yeah, Dave the Diver was such a runaway success that you kind of forgot here in the console wars, right, that it hadn't ever made it over to Xbox. It had been over on what, PlayStation, Steam and Switch, interestingly enough. I know they're showing it right there. Something I'm seeing to clue you in as I'm reading the Xbox Wire thing, they make a point to call out here that it's optimized for handheld devices. Obviously this is a partner preview after the launch of the Xbox. Rog Ally X and Rog Ally. On top of that, I think what's interesting, a lot of press releases from the partners are calling out the fact that this is coming to Xbox series X. X the Rog Xbox ally X the ROG Xbox ally PlayStation 5. Like, it's like going through and calling out the handhelds as if they're their own platform rather than just Xbox, which we would know, you know, applies to everything. Especially since everything we're talking about today is play. Anyway.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Mike
June 28, 2023 Tim for Dave the Diver. That's crazy. That's finally coming to Xbox now.
Tim Gettys
It's here. Next up we have Crowsworn. This is the Hollow Knight. Like, explore dark world inhabited by men and monsters in this action packed platformer. Lay waste to the monsters that stand in your way with a wide array of stylish combat maneuvers as you attempt to unravel the truth behind the curse of fear and all.
Andy Cortez
Andy it looks awesome. I was not expecting to see this here. I always just kind of expected this game to be more under the radar with how it's been releasing. And again with it being a Kickstarter game and them being so dedicated to. No, only our Kickstarters, our Kickstarter backers will get demos. We're not doing Steam Next Fest stuff. Like they are the ones who get to play this game. We're trying to do right by them, by everybody who sort of believed in us initially. And yeah, I think the coolest thing is that they just showed off so much that I haven't hadn't seen before in prior trailers or got to experience with demos. But we saw some looks at some really cool locations with awesome boss fights and different mechanics and yeah, I think the game is just so damn stylish. It's. It's got the stuff like this. This to me is going to be what Liza P. Is to souls games. It's like the closest that you could get to that experience. And everybody else is going to be very, very far away from the Hollow Knight experience.
Tim Gettys
Oh, I really like that. Is there anything about this that separates it from Hollow Knight from a gameplay perspective?
Andy Cortez
I think it. Well, Silksong definitely changed some things because Hollow Knight was always a bit slower. But I think that Silksong coming out, you see a lot of the speed that and how that changes from going from the OG to Silksong. This has just a lot more speed, a lot more mobility with a lot more kind of very flashy abilities that you're using as well. It's awesome.
Tim Gettys
Next up, we had Echo Generation two. This is embark on a Sci Fi deck building RPG odyssey. Gather your crew, craft powerful decks and battle across the stars to find your way home. Deal the cards, defy the cosmos, embrace adventure. Slay the Spire. Like bless.
Blessing
Come on. I'm all about it. Yeah. I mean I love that I'm seeing more and more games that are inspired by Slay the Spire after I just started playing Slay the Spire not that long ago. This looks fucking cool. I like the art style as well. I like how much we saw Voxels this showcase twice but like you know, two more times than we usually see it. This looks cool.
Greg Miller
Yeah. This is the first one I ran to Steam to drop on my wish list to make sure I keep track of it. I had missed Echo Generation and so I'm now reading off of that audience chat. Is this a departure control wise? Echo Generation is Lead a gang of kids to uncover spooky mysteries, battle creatures and explore the supernatural side of your hometown. In Echo Generation, a turn based adventure set in the 90s. I'm not seeing cards. So was that more of a turn based RPG and than this is or is it? Were they using cards? I don't know. But interesting. I mean this. This is one of those games that this looks so good and has no release date immediately makes me go buy this one. No cards in the first one because this sounds great in terms of a fun one of it almost sounds costume quest which I love so much.
Blessing
Yeah. I had a moment like oh did I? Should I have played the first Echo Generation because this looks so cool but hearing that the first one didn't have cards.
Greg Miller
Turn based rpg. Okay.
Blessing
The super crazy departure. But also like I having not placed fire, I can see how that would work.
Andy Cortez
Right?
Blessing
Like it is less of a 1v1 card game and more so the cards are just a battle system. The cards are just a way to like express how you're fighting this thing. And so I think it's a really smart move. And this art style I think really works for making the battles feel alive and look super cool.
Tim Gettys
Speaking of right moves, Vampire Crawlers Deal world ending combos and blitz through infested dungeons. Vampire Crawlers. The Turbo Wild card from Vampire Survivors is a casual turn based deck builder with roguelite elements. Master the Turbo turn TM with your own hand of cards. This is a first person card game coming 2026. Just another roguelike deck builder.
Greg Miller
That's what they added their trailer with. Very funn Greg. Love Vampire Survivors. I've been rocking with that game since what Xbox when they originally came out of nowhere with it and have played it then since just about every other platform including this most recent deep dive with PO where we did all the co op on PlayStation. So, yeah, you know, Ponkle, of course, friends of the show, they stepped up a few years ago, remember when our game awards sponsor backed out and they jumped in to sponsor that with us. And we've known them before that. Obviously you've all known them from Vampire Survivors. It's a game that I love. It's a humor I love. And so this trailer really does encapsulate what I expect from them. And so, yeah, I'm not usually the deck builder person, but like that coat of paint, that level of humor, that talented of devs, I'm going to be all about checking that out.
Tim Gettys
Anyone else?
Blessing
Oh, yeah. I mean, this is something that speaks to me too, for all the same reasons I just talked about with Echo Generation 2. But this one, seeing all the cards they got going on in the hand and then all the numbers and all the crazy shit. Like, it seems like they're taking similar inspirations but going, all right, now how do we amplify this to make it go crazy? And I think that's a really smart way to do it, especially for the people who made Vampire Survivors a game about the numbers going crazy.
Andy Cortez
So, yeah, super smart call. Like a. Just a really solid idea that I. I don't think any of us saw coming. Like, I think it's just a really cool thing to say. This is our next kind of adventure in this world and we're not gonna, you know, just make more levels for Vampire Survivors. Let's just do something completely different and see if we could also captivate a whole lot of people. And, you know, with Vampire Survivors, is it still like two or three bucks or whatever? Like, I wonder what this is going to be price wise? Yeah, yeah.
Tim Gettys
And then next up, they said there's going to be content for 007 first light. And there was the acid Martin Valhalla revealed today during the Xbox Showcase. Fans got their first glimpse at the Aston Martin Valhalla in 007 First Light, a remarkable supercar with hypercar performance that brings together cutting edge technology and the timeless luxury of the Bond franchise. Alongside the reveal of this, IO Interactive announced that 007 first light will be available on the ROG Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally Xbox Ally at launch, bringing the reimagined Bond origin story to handheld players. The game will also be an Xbox Play anywhere title, allowing players to enjoy seamless play across Xbox consoles and Windows PC with shared progress and achievements.
Andy Cortez
I just don't. I also don't.
Mike
Tim.
Greg Miller
Just doing the inhale.
Andy Cortez
I also don't think you should, like, advertise that you're gonna have something like this. Like, but when it happens and all of us are disappointed. And Greg goes, right. But, like, that's not the content that they were wanting to show off. Right. And, like, it just leads. You're just setting yourself up to be disappointed.
Greg Miller
I mean, again, like, when they. The promo on wire. Right. This show will include new and new. I'm sorry, Include news on upcoming Games partners, including IO Interactive. They started with IO Interactive. You know what? Actually, you're right.
Blessing
Sorry.
Greg Miller
I back off on that part. And then the next. But then the next part is during the Xbox Partner preview, we'll show an exciting first look at content coming to 007 first light. They did leave there. They did leave there acting like 007 first light was going to be a very big part of it.
Andy Cortez
They should have put parentheses, vroom, vroom, or like, you know what I mean?
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Nick Scarpino will be happy about this or something. Give us a hint, you know, so we know. Oh, it's gonna be a car thing, you know?
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
And not much else.
Greg Miller
We were so mad about this that I forgot that, like, yeah, I.O. and Hitman. That's, you know. Okay, Good call. Good call.
Tim Gettys
Do y' all expect we see more of this at Game War? It's.
Blessing
Yeah. I mean, this is one of those games where I feel like they're shoving it into every showcase, rightfully so, before the game comes out. So. Yeah, any major showcase.
Greg Miller
99 chance this is going to be the one where. And I apologize not knowing them, but young Dexter is going to come out to. They're going to show the trailer and extended look or whatever, and then he'll come out and present the award.
Mike
They might even have the car come from the rafters here to present the award.
Blessing
Oh, my God.
Greg Miller
Is he going to drive it out on stage?
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing
Have Eminem come out.
Mike
I'm more looking forward to the gameplay with the car. I think we all kind of know what, like, the gameplay looks like on that, but, like, it's just. There's a feel to it. There's a slowdown effect as well, where it never feels like you're really getting after it because you're supposed to be behind shooting at cars in front of you, trailing that guy. And it's like it never quite feels as fun as you think it would be. And for as flashy as that was, I know that when we get behind the wheel of this on the sticks, it won't feel as fun as I want it to be. And that's fine because that's not what James Bond is about.
Tim Gettys
No, it is. No, no, no, no. That is what James Bond is about.
Greg Miller
Like, yo, this game's gonna be mid. And that's okay.
Mike
Game is not going to be about James Bond car driving, which.
Blessing
But I. I disagree in the sense that Uncharted is about driving. But those driving segments in Uncharted 4 were fun for what they were.
Greg Miller
The Jeep was cool.
Blessing
The Jeep was fun. When you get there. This has to be that.
Andy Cortez
Okay.
Mike
Yeah.
Blessing
This has to be that because it's James Bond. And they're.
Greg Miller
They're.
Blessing
They're not advertising this as this is Hitman. They're advertising it as this is 007. They're showing off the set pieces. They're talking about this not just being the go in stealth round or whatever. You can see hints of that.
Mike
I think you get three. Three big driving segments maximum out of this campaign.
Tim Gettys
Three.
Greg Miller
Okay.
Tim Gettys
I mean, if they're fun set pieces, that's cool. We're gonna get way more, I think of what we saw already, like the, the opening of the demo. We saw. How long are those kind of driving up to the.
Blessing
I'm going. I think those are going to be five minute.
Greg Miller
I mean, we saw the PlayStation State of Play.
Tim Gettys
You.
Greg Miller
We drove a long time. Yeah, we drove along.
Blessing
I think, though, they're gonna be extended segments. Not like a road trip, but like, I think you're gonna, I don't know, get your money's worth out of it.
Andy Cortez
I just don't know if I like, give a. About vehicular combat unless I'm in an open world just blowing everything up, you know, like vehicular. Like, I just, like, I don't. I just can't see myself giving a damn. Like, those are the missions that I will probably be the most forgettable to me unless they do the most crazy stuff production wise, like set piece, uncharted style stuff.
Blessing
But I mean, that's my. They're not gonna hit it. But that's my better bar. That's my expectation.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing
Is that this is going. The driving segments are going for that uncharted style, like, set piece. But it's scripted. Scripted. But it's like a fun. A fun ass time.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. A generation old. You know what I mean? Set pieces.
Blessing
But I mean, that's expectation.
Tim Gettys
It is Naughty Dog. It is Naughty Dog. That is. That is. It is. But at the same time, though, it's like that is the expectation.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
What we're getting from a James Bond game number eight. We have Roadside Research, a one to four player co op gas station simulator. Accept your aliens and Undercover do very human things like restocking shells while preparing for the invasion. Just don't get caught. Xbox and PC early 2026 Mike this
Mike
one's had fun, cute simulator vibes since we saw it already. So if you and your crew are looking for a gas station sim like experience that's going to have fun wonky moments with these aliens trying to be humans, yeah, this is going to be high on the list. This will be a fun one. There's these experiences that you love, these sim games for that you experience. But when you add the co op element into it, there's just an even more wacky factor to it that makes them more fun, enjoyable, memorable moments. There's nothing better than that and you'll get that out of this one.
Tim Gettys
I feel about the pug.
Mike
I can't wait. You know I love Frank the pug.
Tim Gettys

Britain and we're back with total chaos out Today on Xbox, PC and PS5. Sam Preble's involved and the composer. Yeah. Thank you. Does anyone know who Sam Preble is?
Greg Miller
No. No.
Andy Cortez
No.
Tim Gettys
Okay.
Greg Miller
But I wish him well.
Tim Gettys
Yes. Yes.
Blessing
Okay.
Tim Gettys
This one featured a. A big creature human thing that got a handy going.
Andy Cortez
Well, I just like scale. Yeah, I think scale is cool. Sam Preble worked, did visual effects on Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Avatar, the Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey, Abraham Lincoln, vampire hunter.
Tim Gettys
Damn. So he's got the stuff visually.
Andy Cortez
Award winner, one vampire.
Blessing
Is that known for its.
Andy Cortez
Won an award for best monster at something. I don't know.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Creature design.
Andy Cortez
So I guess like. Yeah, I guess maybe art. Art design or somebody that people.
Blessing
I didn't know if it was one of those ones where it's like when you got Avatar and like that. You can just leave that off the list. But you know, if you're selling it, the creatures are like that.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, look, we got creatures here. Does this. This one was a weird one because I feel like as it was happening, Bless was saying like, oh, man, like we always get these and they never actually come out. And this one's like. You like. You excited to play it or.
Blessing
No.
Tim Gettys
Why? Why not? Like, what is that?
Blessing
It's too freaky.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Okay.
Greg Miller
Oh, yeah. I think, you know, to. To its credit, right.
Blessing
Like I.
Greg Miller
This is just not the horror game I'm usually drawn to. Like, you know, I want it to be more narrative than survival against a bunch of monsters and stuff like that.
Andy Cortez
I talked about the wrong Sam Preble, but I think.
Greg Miller
I think it's cool. I think it's cool that this is actually out today. Right. So it is ready to go if you're even tangentially interested. So many of these games I were that I I wish list. I was hoping.
Andy Cortez
Who's the same Sam Preble worked on Ashen.
Greg Miller
I remember that game.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing
Oh, Ashton.
Andy Cortez
But there's also another Sam Preble who. Who composed for the movie Salt.
Tim Gettys
Okay.
Andy Cortez
I don't know what's the.
Greg Miller
Well, that's just a short too. That's not even like the movie short.
Tim Gettys
Salt's a game of the picks.
Blessing
Yeah. This reminds me of Scorn.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Sam Preble, better known as Waterholic, is a Doom modder, level designer and game developer.
Blessing
He's not worked on Avatar?
Andy Cortez
No, no. Avatar wasn't anywhere there.
Tim Gettys
Damn re animal. The creators of Little Nightmares 1 and 2 have returned to take you on a darker, more terrifying journey than ever before. In this horror adventure game, a brother and sister go through hell to rescue their missing friends and escape the island that they used to call home. Coming February 13, 2026. Everywhere. It looks awesome.
Greg Miller
Can we play it solo? Okay.
Blessing
But you have like a AI Got it. That's your co op partner.
Greg Miller
Got it, got it, got it, got it, got it. Yeah, I looked at it and it's another one of those little nightmares gets thrown around so much in terms of creators, developers, this, that the other. I looked at it like. And when you were like, oh, it's more like inside, I was like, okay, hold on then. Now I'm paying attention. Now we're back to something I enjoyed and maybe would check out again.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, this looks fucked up.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Good way, dude.
Andy Cortez
It's. It's real tough. Like, it's. It is a like anxiety at full max level. While you're playing it though, there's a. Yeah. Your little co op partner that you're running around with, you might go to a puzzle piece and you need them to close that valve. So you kind of point at the valve and they go and like turn the thing to then allow you to walk down that drawbridge or whatever the hell it. It just had a lot of cool mystery and great environment and it was horrifying, but in the best way.
Blessing
I got to do the preview for Little Nightmares three at PAX and from me who did that preview. And I also like love inside playing the Reanimal demo. I'll still say it leans more towards Little Nightmares than an inside, but I
Greg Miller
think it just a back out.
Blessing
But it still has like that, like those freaky elements of it. Yeah, there's something about it that's kind of uneasy that I think lean towards the inside. It leans towards inside tonally. But that said, for the demo, I played of this versus the demo, I played a little Nightmare 3. I'm more so looking forward to this. I didn't play the final thing a Little Nightmares 3 because I wanted to leave room in my appetite to play Reanimal because this. This thing seems cool.
Tim Gettys
Erosion. Every death costs a decade. Your daughter's been kidnapped. Every death cost you a decade. Explore a roguelike open world where your actions reshape the timeline. Join a cult. Steal a ride. Gamble cheddar. Collect 100 plus weapons and abilities. Demolish destructible voxel dungeons. Can you save her before time steals her away? 2026 PC, Xbox and PS5 early access on Xbox and Xbox PC in 2026
Greg Miller
the very bouncy It's Greg's game of the show. That's the one I'm most excited for. I think this is a really cool premise. I like a good twin stick shooter which is what the gameplay looks like. I like roguelike as well. Yeah, let's go through. See how fast I can save my daughter. So hopefully she's not old because at the end when you get there and she's old, just like spoilers say it.
Andy Cortez
Interstellar.
Greg Miller
I was giving spoilers. God fuck. Let people have a chance to turn it off. Oh, you can't just blurt it out that she's old at the end. Interstellar. He was the ghost.
Andy Cortez
Murph. You know what I mean?
Greg Miller
Murph. Murph. Leave it, Murph. You know what I mean? Yeah, that's a cool concept. And again, I think the gameplay looks really good when they do like the weird cut scenes of it. I'm like, I don't like. I don't like how this looks but this part, they see that I don't like this. This. This is fine. This is cool.
Tim Gettys
Anyone else into this?
Andy Cortez
I really don't like the rsl.
Tim Gettys
I.
Andy Cortez
It's not. It's not the voxel look.
Greg Miller
It's the bouncy.
Andy Cortez
It's the lighting and how everybody's sort of in. In the world. Like every. I don't know, it just. It looks like everything's on low settings and there needs to be like a lighting pass that then gets added on to it. But yeah, I just. I'm not vibing with it.
Greg Miller
You got time. It's not coming out till early access, you know, next year.
Tim Gettys
So you're right.
Andy Cortez
They do have 10.
Tim Gettys
Then we had zoo punk coming everywhere but Switch. I think this looks freaking awesome. You're a bunny man with cool swords and cool action. There's other animals there too. There's a squirrel girl. Hell yeah.
Greg Miller
She got guns.
Tim Gettys
This looks awesome. I really hope that this is like a kick ass 7 out of 10. And I think it will be.
Blessing
See, I hope it's even more right. Like I hope that you get those eights and nines from it maybe shaving down parts of it that people might not care about as much. Like Give it just straight action, right? Like don't, don't give me too much shit in between if it's gonna be fine or okay, just give me these weird ass looking characters with good combos and like fun companions or whatever those people were that at the end of it. That's all I want.
Greg Miller
One thing from their. Their synopsis over on the Xbox Wire that's interesting. It's part of the universe introduced in the acclaimed Fist Forged in Shadow.
Blessing
We nailed it.
Tim Gettys
Okay. Brinwell says gameplay doesn't look great. I don't get that. I look at this and I'm like, this looks awesome. Like, do you guys, is there something about the gameplay here that you agree doesn't look great?
Blessing
I mean it looks like pretty much any other action game that I've seen from gameplay. I don't see anything where I'm like, oh, that looks janky or whatever. The UI doesn't look as like flashy as Tides of Annihilation, but I don't. Not everything can be that. So I look at this and I'm like, this looks fun. I don't think it looks bad by any means.
Tim Gettys
I'm getting a lot of Cana Bridge of Spirits vibes from the combat and that is a good thing for me.
Andy Cortez
What are they working on?
Tim Gettys
It's a great question, man. Ember last, where you at?
Andy Cortez
What are they working on?
Tim Gettys
What are they doing?
Andy Cortez
What is Acid Nerve working on? Because after playing streaming Moonlighter 2 last night, just really digging that game. It's like, what is. I want a Death Store sequel so
Tim Gettys
badly I forgot that they're collecting all I'm hell into this. Let's go, Z Punk.
Blessing
Shin's War in chat says maybe the hit impact sounds lack sounds lacking lucid dreams is combat looks not impactful. And then Mr. Paul's in chat says combat looks like it has no way. I think for me, I look at it and I'm comparing it in my mind to like a Ninja Gaiden 4, which I would say Ninja Gaiden 4's combat doesn't really have weight, but that's the point. Yeah, like it's all speed, it's all go.
Tim Gettys
I like that.
Blessing
Which I want. Like, I don't need this to feel like a soulsy type action game. I want this to feel like a character action game which oftentimes doesn't have the same weight.
Tim Gettys
Then we had Clover Pit, a roguelike slot machine nightmare. Gamble for your life in a never ending debt simulator. It's out today on the old Xbox Unholy Fusion DLC coming soon. It sold over 1 million copies on Steam in just 10 weeks. Very, very cool.
Greg Miller
Very cool anybody plays. When I came when it was the hotness. I remember seeing it and people liking it. I was like, oh, I not. I'm not drawn to it.
Andy Cortez
I keep on hovering over that purchase button on the new and trending section. It's always there along with slots and daggers. And those are two very, very popular roguelites this year. I just. There's other things I need to be playing.
Greg Miller
Sure.
Tim Gettys
Roger got me on to Yellow Taxi goes room last year and I absolutely fell in love like these, their style that they have it. It's one of those things where it's like you at first glance, you're like, oh, this looks like things I've seen before. But then when you look at it just a little longer, you're like, oh, wait, no, no, no. They're really committing to their own thing and they pull it off with this like insane n64ps1 nostalgia. But like in a. In a way that is uniquely theirs. And I've going from Yellow Taxi to this completely different, but the energy is there. And having played through Yellow Taxi, that energy is worth experiencing for sure. So check this out if you're interested.
Greg Miller
Game pass today.
Tim Gettys
Hitman World of Assassination.
Blessing
It's getting of an M DLC everybody from the 313. Oh, you still haven't seen 8 Mile. Oh, we got to watch 8 Mile. Oh, man, that's upsetting. It's the most you movie.
Tim Gettys
The mission available from December 1st through December 31st from Grammy and Academy Award winner Eminem. Because of 8 Mile, the new elusive target missions available globally for free, everywhere, every platform actually imaginable. There's like an entire paragraph of platforms that they're spelling out here, including PC, VR, Eminem and Slim Shady playable for free starting December 1st. Rap icon Eminem joins the world of World of Assassination both as himself and his twisted alter ego, Slim Shady. In his latest album, the Death of Slim Shady, the rapper attempted to put his other self away. But now Eminem recruits the legendary assassin Agent 47. Someone has passed away permanently.
Blessing
That's awesome.
Tim Gettys
Oh, bless.
Blessing
I'm so in lock it.
Andy Cortez
I didn't know they were different people. Like, I didn't know Slim Shitty was like, that's not like, I don't know. Eminem was like, that's not me.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Blessing
Like, you know the song Slim Shady or like business.
Andy Cortez
Well, I know the song My name is.
Blessing
Yeah, like that one. Like, kind of all those, like, goofy songs.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Blessing
I feel like that's usually, like, the
Andy Cortez
Slim Shady Persona, but has Marshall Mathers ever. Ever said, like, well, that's not me. I didn't say that. That was Slim Shady.
Tim Gettys
That's kind of the point of the latest album. That's Slim Shady. Like, there's one where he's like. He ties himself up to a chair and he's about to kill himself and he's drugging him. It's crazy.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. Oh, wow.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
It's like Greg Miller and shirtless Spider Man.
Greg Miller
I just take his photos.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Okay, gotcha. Different person.
Blessing
Anytime you hear, like, when Eminem gets real nasally, everybody from the.
Andy Cortez
Oh, really?
Blessing
That's like, some fading energy at least.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, okay.
Blessing
And then when he's like, I'm gonna kill Kim. Yeah, that's more Eminem.
Andy Cortez
That's Marshall.
Tim Gettys
Not as different as the Slim Shady, but there. There is, like, a slight little total shift in music.
Blessing
That's true.
Andy Cortez
So, okay. It's like split. That movie. Split. Yeah.
Blessing
If you heard the song Beautiful off of Relapse, I think that's a Marshall
Tim Gettys
Mathers shit for sure. Get it, you know? But here's the thing, Les. Check this out. In a surreal new mission crafted by Eminem in collaboration with IO and creative director, producer Paul Rosenberg.
Greg Miller
No shot.
Blessing
No shot.
Tim Gettys
The level is packed with dreamlike twists that mere Slim Shady's unhinged reality. Yeah.
Mike
Huh.
Blessing
I'm just thinking about the calls.
Tim Gettys
Okay, I'm gonna keep reading this.
Greg Miller
I gave you only the good stuff. I gave you the good stuff.
Tim Gettys
For these operatives find themselves in a medical facility in Hokkaido that has been twisted into the Pom Somp Hills asylum from fucking 3am that's fucking awesome. Agent 47 will have to track Slim Shady across multiple areas, such as his broadcasting studio, to take him out without being detected. There are abundant Eminem references in the Mission from throughout the rapper's discography, such as a poison plate of the iconic mom's spaghetti and a performance of Houdini.
Blessing
Oh, okay.
Tim Gettys
I've been trying to put Slim to rest, but he keeps coming back. So this time, I'm calling it a professional to get the job done once and for all. We've got some surprises in store for everyone. It's a battle for the ages. Shared evident.
Blessing
See, I love this. I love everything about this, because I do wonder. Oh, man. I've not really done any of the elusive target stuff, so I don't know how much of the story missions, they loop into it, but in Hitman when you're doing, like, just the main playthrough, they'll give you, like, a bunch of different options. Like, maybe, like, five different options for. Here are the tailored ways to kill this target. And usually there'll be some kind of, like, okay, you'll lead him a year, and then. Then you'll get to this very specific thing, and then you'll kill him in a very specific way. And, like, usually there's kind of a story tied to it. So I love that. If they have a handful of stories, right, One of them where it is, all right, you're poisoning the mom spaghetti so that he throws up, and then you lure him to the place where he's going to throw up and then kill him there. This is a different conversation. This is going to turn into a different podcast. Like, top five ways to kill Eminem. Chat. Super Chat in. What are your top five ways to kill Eminem?
Andy Cortez
Can you bring the video back, Kevin? And don't hover over it so that we don't see the text up top. Because when I'm looking at this and, like, when I'm looking at this trailer, it's like, oh, hey, the. Check out this new DLC video for Dead by Daylight. Like, that's what this looks like, you know, like, Eminem and Hitman are coming to Dead by Daylight.
Tim Gettys
Well, I think it's all the hockey masks, too. That's.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, but I don't know. There's just something about it that, like, I don't know. How many elusive targets have there been? And who are they?
Mike
Hear me out, Bruce Lee. Have been two so far.
Andy Cortez
What are they gonna put Netanyahu on there? You know what I mean?
Blessing
I want. I want a mission for Eminem called Window Pane, where you have to push him out a window. All right, this is what I'm looking for.
Tim Gettys
Chat.
Blessing
Sean Bean was one.
Andy Cortez
What about Stan? Is Stan in here as well?
Tim Gettys
Probably not.
Blessing
There's probably a reference. That's probably one of the ways you put him in a car. Put him in, like, the trunk of a car, drive the car into a
Tim Gettys
lake, give him a fifth of vodka, dare him to drive.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, yeah, that's good.
Tim Gettys
Next up, we had Tiles. Tides of Annihilation. Finally. We were waiting for it the entire show, and it showed up. It's coming everywhere but. Switch 2. Shifting the action from the ruins of London to the mysterious otherworld realm of Avalon in an Inception Inception esque sequence. The cinematic style gameplay video captured with in game footage offers the first detailed look at the Dual frontline battle system and the Mirror Realm. A fractured world split into mirror realities. The visceral stunning action comes to an epic climax as both Gwendolyn and Lamicine, a special ally in this particular fight, shift in and out of the Mirror Realm to deliver powerful attacks against the shape shifting boss. Tyrone. I think that's the name. I don't know. Showcasing the ability to control two. Tyrone just sounds wrong, you know?
Greg Miller
Tyrone doesn't sound right.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, I don't think that's right. Hey, Tyrone.
Tim Gettys
Showcasing the ability to control two characters in this major boss fight.
Andy Cortez
Roni, Tyrone.
Tim Gettys
Dude, we've already said it, but this looks incredible, man. Like, I am so, so into all of the vibes that this thing is putting out, man. It's. It just looks sick.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. We have some words here. Written from the press release. Tides of Annihilation story and setting takes inspiration from Arthurian legend. Early in the game, Gwendolyn gains the ability to summon and command spectral forms of the Knights of the Round Table. So all of these characters that she's using to attack are all different Knights of the Round Table.
Blessing
That's cool.
Tim Gettys
There's nothing cooler than that. That's.
Andy Cortez
And I'm sure like, you know, this one's poison and that one does fire damage or whatever the hell, you know.
Blessing
We gotta invent a new term. I like inventing terms with you guys. Okay, we gotta.
Greg Miller
Because Tyrone, there's one Tyrone.
Blessing
Like, is there a word we're calling these games? Like, are we still saying character action for this? Because I wouldn't say.
Andy Cortez
I say action rpg, but I feel
Blessing
like we can find a newer one possibly.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing
This stellar blade, I don't know, Lost soul aside, even though that was kind of whack feeling, there's a word here. Meets. Meets us in the middle. So I think we're entering a new.
Mike
I thought action RPG is pretty good
Blessing
because we're entering a new era of like what these games are, but I think that's.
Tim Gettys
I think Action RPGs are this now. Yeah, right?
Blessing
I guess so.
Tim Gettys
Andy. I think Andy nailed it.
Andy Cortez
I'm going to stew on it though. So we have a cooler one.
Blessing
Yeah, it deserves a cool name.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, we need a cooler one.
Tim Gettys
Zeke Speak says if they avoid a stellar blade situation, all style, no substance, the tides will be a hit. Arthurian lore is deep, but lore doesn't equal good story. Totally agree there. I'm getting good vibes though, from this.
Andy Cortez
Oh yeah, you still gotta have like awesome, like good writing and, you know, reasons to give a. About what's happening?
Blessing
I mean, already though, just from looks, the flavor here looks way better than Stellar Blade. Stellar Blade always looked kind of like it was lacking something in substance there. Story wise, like, world wise. I look at this. Even Andy saying the words Knights of the Round Table already. I'm like, well, seller Blade didn't have any Knights of the Round Table in that game.
Tim Gettys
Oh, man, that's so sick. And then we ended it with Raji Cayuga. This is six years after the Great War. Destiny bleeds into the prophecy as gods and mortals blur. Raji the warrior faith and Darsh the Dreamwalker faithful face the wrath as it tears open heaven's gates, unleashing Cayuga. An age where every choice can unmake the universe. November 21st. Oh, no, that. That's. That November 21st has nothing to do with that. Forget it.
Mike
Cool.
Andy Cortez
It's sitting at an out of 2,000 reviews. 86% of them are positive on Steam, and it's seven bucks right now for the first Raji. Yeah, Raji. An ancient epic.
Tim Gettys
So why is this the last place of this showcase? Like, do they believe in this sequel more than the first or what? Is there a gut check here?
Andy Cortez
I have no idea.
Blessing
Maybe because it's a new game announcement over tazzle. Annihilation we already knew about.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, possibly. But I don't know if like, Tides of Annihilation had really been shown on a big. On us on a stage where it's like, you know, check out this amazing epic boss fight. Like, I think it would have been a better ender.
Blessing
Where did we see that game? Was it.
Tim Gettys
Correct me if I'm wrong. Have we only seen Tides now twice? Because I'm pretty sure we only officially saw it that one time, which I think was the Xbox Showcase, right?
Andy Cortez
I don't know.
Blessing
I don't feel like I saw Tides either in the spring or.
Tim Gettys
I just remember in the game it was this year.
Andy Cortez
I remember that one trailer where they do like the doctor Strange hallway, where the hallway, like, extends and like the world is like the walls are becoming floors and stuff. It was really.
Blessing
I remember us like almost climbing a Shadow Colossus type.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Blessing
That feels like it was a year ago.
Tim Gettys
So just glancing at Google, it seems like it was during a PlayStation thing in February this year.
Greg Miller
Wow.
Blessing
Okay. That feels right.
Tim Gettys
Yeah. Stay to play now it's here.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. I wish. I. I don't know. I wish we could have seen some gameplay for this, but if it's anything like the verse, it'll be A top down Hades.
Greg Miller
Like, it'll be interesting to see how far they've come with it.
Andy Cortez
Yeah.
Greg Miller
What they've pushed, what they've learned, obviously to have this, to do a sequel, period. To have this spot on Xbox. You assume they're coming a little bit bigger and better with this one.
Tim Gettys
And then finally, additionally, we announced that the full screen experience, originally available on the Asus Raj, Xbox, Ally and Ally X is generally available tomorrow, November 21st, across all gaming handhelds currently in market. Plus we're expanding FSE to more Windows 11 PC form factors through the Xbox and Windows Insider programs. Soon. Slip this one at the end. Cool blinking.
Greg Miller
You miss it?
Tim Gettys
Yeah, we'll see.
Greg Miller
We will see. Well, you see, I'll see.
Tim Gettys
We got a lot of super chats I'd like to get to here. Sasquatch is shouting out the fits here, saying Tim's Brit shirt, bless his rare hoodie and Andy's fit gas. Hey, Kuya J says the new Zootopia goes hard as God for representing the brand.
Greg Miller
God forbid you support any I support. Funny.
Tim Gettys
These awesome.
Greg Miller
Both of them. Awesome.
Mike
That's a crazy comment.
Tim Gettys
Z speak. Says Jen English on kf when I'd love to have her. That would be very awesome.
Greg Miller
Now that you mention it though, me and Mike do look like mirror images of each other. We didn't catch that. So an hour and 30 minutes into this show, I'm.
Andy Cortez
I'm noticing a. A lot of Mike wearing his glasses. And I'm so. I'm so proud of it.
Mike
I stood up right before this went live and Wingo got him too.
Andy Cortez
So big deal. A lot of big changes happening.
Tim Gettys
Shaggy Sasquatch says James Bond advertising. They have the car from the rock. Spy Hunter game is not giving me confidence. You kind of nailed it there. But see, I want that to be fun though, you know? Spy Hunter was fun.
Blessing
Yeah.
Tim Gettys
Fun.
Andy Cortez
Yeah. But if you go back and do it, you're like, I don't want this anymore.
Tim Gettys
Yeah, but you play everything or nothing. And you're like, I want this. But on PS5, you know, motorcycle, Andy, think about the motorcycle.
Greg Miller
Motorcycle.
Andy Cortez
I doubt it.
Tim Gettys
It's so cool. Alex Frazier says this whole thing could have been a blog post. 4 out of 10. Nitro says zoo punk and vampire crawlers for me. James says Greg's a Savage. Giving blessed PS5 Pro jargon Xbox partner preview.
Greg Miller
Aw, shucks. You know what I mean?
Blessing
Spices thing up, you know, make it exciting.
Tim Gettys
Palpatine says the only thing that matters is a Hopper trailer. Reaction from Tim. I don't think we're gonna trailer reaction, but everybody do your due diligence. Go out there, watch the trailer for Pixar's latest Hoppers. This thing's gonna take over the world. It's gonna be the number one movie Avatar. Watch the out. You're about to get hopped, Mike.
Greg Miller
Whoa.
Tim Gettys
Won't stop talking about this movie.
Blessing
Are you for real?
Tim Gettys
Yep, yep, yep.
Blessing
Is it really like that?
Tim Gettys
Beavers, dude. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Blessing
Oh, it's beavers.
Mike
I like the duck one. Which one?
Tim Gettys
No, don't talk to me about migration. Don't talk to me about that.
Andy Cortez
Support Hoppers.
Blessing
Is it like over the hedge energy?
Tim Gettys
No. Okay, It's a person gets their brain sent into a beaver.
Blessing
Never mind.
Mike
Okay, I'm in.
Blessing
I'm out.
Mike
That sounds sick.
Blessing
I want a beaver community.
Tim Gettys
There's beavers. They hang out with beavers.
Blessing
Oh, okay.
Andy Cortez
Then I'm back in.
Tim Gettys
Then they go to the beaver.
Mike
I think we should get. We should bring back Two Angry Beavers.
Blessing
I was gonna say Two Angry Beavers.
Greg Miller
Yeah.
Blessing
Wait, no, it wasn't too.
Tim Gettys
It was just called Angry Beavers.
Blessing
Yeah, you're thinking of Two Angry Dogs.
Tim Gettys
Broke Girls.
Blessing
No, he's thinking of doing girls.
Andy Cortez
Two Angry Beavers.
Greg Miller
We've been live too long.
Tim Gettys
Golden Spider says I kickstarted Crow Sworn and stoked for it. The devs are so dedicated to the backers that the demos and betas they've made for us are completely originally made for us and not just a slice of the game to prevent spoilers. Did you say that earlier, Andy? Because that's cool.
Andy Cortez
I didn't know that. I didn't know that.
Tim Gettys
That's awesome.
Andy Cortez
Yeah, that's a really neat thing.
Tim Gettys
Jason finale says don't sleep on Raji. The first one. Ancient Tale was excellent. All right.
Blessing
Two Stupid dogs. That's what I'm thinking.
Mike
Ah, yeah, I've never heard of that network.
Blessing
Oh, so you just said Two Angry.
Mike
I thought it was too angry.
Blessing
I was trying to give you credit.
Andy Cortez
He was letting you know how many there were. He was just being descriptive.
Tim Gettys
And then Foxy Steve has the final super chat saying, if everything or nothing can nail car combat, first light should be able to as well. Hell yes, dude. Everything or nothing Supremacy, baby. All right, Heidi Clum. Dude, Heidi Clum was the Bond girl in a Bond video game.
Blessing
Oh, I didn't even know that.
Tim Gettys
I didn't know that, dude. Oh, yeah, she's on the COVID They had a song custom made.
Blessing
Have we seen the Bond girl for this one? Do they still do bond girls.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Blessing
20, 25.
Andy Cortez
Those.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
Those are the type of games that you showed your parents and you're like, video games are serious.
Tim Gettys
Yeah.
Andy Cortez
This is an actor, you know, Right.
Blessing
Shout out Anna Darm.
Tim Gettys
Shout out to Anna Darmis. Hey, everybody. We have a full day packed with great stuff coming for you. We have games daily after this. Probably breaking down all of the big winners of the Golden Joysticks this year. Then after that's Game Showdown. After that's the boys streaming. Probably Player Unknown's prologue go way back, but maybe just wiggles out of it.
Mike
They're breaking me down. So get ready. We're probably gonna switch.
Tim Gettys
Until next time. I love you all. Goodbye,
Mike
