A little bit about our guest: Documentary director and producer Elanie Welch brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the field of chronic and terminal illness. Her work centers on translating complex health topics into accessible, compassionate storytelling while maintaining scientific integrity. Her current project, a documentary film called Alive & Well - Healing from Within, follows families diagnosed with incurable and terminal illnesses as they pursue alternative healing pathways and defy the odds. After healing herself from years of infertility and conceiving naturally despite less than a 1% chance, Elanie knows intimately the physical, mental, and emotional work it takes to trust the body's innate healing potential and quiet the voices that say it cannot be so. She is the creator and host of Renegade Remission, a podcast exploring healing potential across chronic and terminal illness, and has spent years working at the intersection of patient advocacy, nutrition, and integrative health education.
