Fancy for 2026 is up and running. It's quite mad. Rewritten the whole bloody thing. There's a marketplace now so you can buy and sell and trade riders, which I've been getting some stonking deals. Adrian's been getting completely walked all over, buying what he thinks are bargains and getting just lemons. Just only lemons. But, yeah, we're going to talk about that in this episode because it's Lords of Tram time. We're flying in for that event that's going to happen this weekend. I've just jinxed it, but I don't care. The forecast looks solid. I think it's going to run. I hope Circus. We already got the Airbnb Very Long Inc. So we're just going to have to get into it. Go.
B
Catastrophic equipment failure.
A
Going for the boogaloo double just to get the landing.
B
Had a couple of strings and it was extremely dangerous. Guys, I signed the trap and it is gold for Ellie Aldridge and gold for Great Britain.
A
You looking forward to it, Adrian? Lords of Tram.
B
I'm looking forward to the event, but I'm disappointed because I'm not going, which is huge heartache for me. I mean, really torn about that all day, but absolutely looking forward to it. Look, if you can't watch it live, the live stream's the next best choice. So, yeah, I'll be diving into that and, yeah, I am looking forward to it. Yeah, it's like the first big event of the year. It sort of kicks off the 2026 season. A lot on the line. There's no sort of warm ups to this event, so it's basically like going straight into a big final for these guys. And if you want to win this World Championship, you want to be a GK World Champion, which all of them really want to be. You basically just have to perform straight
A
off the off, you know, and not normal conditions either. This is by far the coldest conditions that they'll ride in all year, really. Let's face it, even when they go back home and train wherever the they're from, each athlete this. You wouldn't choose to normally train like this. There's been loads of trauma events in the past where people are wearing ski jackets and ski trousers on the beach, it's looking much more mild and it has been more mild those previous few years. Last year was so incredibly windy that events got cancelled. Heats got cancelled.
C
Sorry.
A
And postponed for the day. So it's not normal wind, this Tramontana breeze. It's high stakes and it's probably the most. It's been the site of the most dangerous kiteboarding over in recent times, isn't it?
B
Well, Colin, we do have some boots on the ground. I gave Keener a call yesterday just to get a little bit more information about what's going on in Buckearas and there's any goss any stories. Here's Keena live from Buckeras. Mate, it's been pretty good training.
C
Yeah, definitely it has. It's been absolutely awesome the last week and we've got some good win coming.
B
Our riders rushing to baccarat at the moment because the conditions look like it's going to go off over the next few days.
C
Yeah, definitely. I mean the conditions looking prime whether they run the competition or not. I think people are definitely coming here at least to train the spot to get a feel of it. And I do have a good feeling it's going to run this weekend again as it has been the last few years.
B
Who have you seen training?
C
So a lot of riders flew in last week for the forecast. We had Max, Martin, a lot of the F1 riders. There was Josh, there was Natalie. A lot of them have been training in Tarifa as well, I think. Slowly, slowly. They are all arriving yesterday, today for this forecast coming up. Yeah, I think we've got maybe 80% of the riders here at the moment.
B
You mentioned Maxwell Dahl and Martin Kobriski, two young guys, a couple of the least experienced guys. What was your impression of these guys? I've known these guys for a few years now. They were good when I met them. How are they handling these conditions? Do you think they're going to be able to ride at this level?
C
I mean I was living with Max and Martin. Last forecast there was definitely those two and Finn that were standing out from the rest of the riders at least technicality wise they are just like on a different level. It was really impressive to watch. My only doubt for the competition with them would be that the store slightly less experienced but a bit lighter as well. So they might not have that same power which counts in the competition. But I guess it depends on the conditions in the comp and what the judges are looking for, I guess. But technically wise there you mentioned Finn
B
Flugel, another one everyone's interested in. 2025 Freestyle World Champion has dabbled in big air a little bit. Probably a bit unlucky for missing out on some of these comps. How's he looking? I mean this kid is just a mega talent, right?
C
Yeah, definitely. He's definitely up there in all aspects of the kiting scene. He was riding very well as well last week. Also saw him a bit on the foil kite, which was very impressive, especially because he's so light. Some of the tricks were kind of holding our breath for him, but he seems to have it under control and yeah, it's just impressive what these kids are doing, to be honest.
B
You think he's going to ride a foil kite? I don't think he's going to ride a four kite in Buckeyes. You and I have been in Buckeyes enough times to know the four kite might be. You might, you might jump out of the pond.
A
Yeah, literally.
C
Nah, I feel like this isn't the, the event for it. I think for also what the judges are looking for, it might not be the best move. It looks like it might be a lot of 8, 9 meter weather, hopefully. I think a lot of the riders hoping for that instead of double loops. Good to see a change from the last years. So I think he'll stick to the inflatable kites.
B
I mean, you're currently now living with Jason, Josh and Luca. Last year Josh had a big crash here. Is that really the chat that they will go away from doubles? Because if you look at the Instagram, everyone looks like they're pulling doubles again. Even Josh is like, oh, it's good to throw some doubles again. Is that just chat?
C
Yeah, yeah.
B
Do they or do they want to go big kites and strong wind and just. And really get it low?
C
I think from everything I've heard, they definitely do want to go singles if possible. They think preparing them and retraining them a bit in case they have to do them in the competition a bit. We also saw a bit of a scary crash from Josh last week again. But yeah, I think they all kind of like Preparing them for SKS in case we get 60 knots again.
B
Any sign of Andrea Printrippi? Have you heard anything on the ground from other riders?
C
I have talked to a few riders. They've said they've got no news from him. I talked to Micah. Apparently he's been in Tarifa the last bit of time and he's doing good. Apparently he's just taking a bit of time for himself, training a bit and apparently he's doing good.
B
Chance of him turning up?
A
I don't know.
C
I wouldn't be able to answer that. Really. I feel like. I feel like you'll come.
B
How is Natalie? She's the reigning king of the female division winner. Is she the first of the ladies that you've seen turn up and ride.
C
Yeah, there was a few of the people with Nico for the young blood camp.
B
Yeah, she's with those guys.
C
Yeah, I think it was there as well. I didn't see her ride. I was only at the same spot as the girls on the main wind day which was 60 plus knots. It was crazy wind and Natalie went out riding. She went out first on her seven and was just like completely stacked.
B
She went down on 7 and 60 knots.
C
7.3. When like some of the guys were on like. And she was just like getting blown away. But she was looking good. She was definitely quite cold is what I could tell.
B
Mika's coming.
C
Yeah, she is. She's not looking forward to it but
D
she is
C
like, is it cold over there?
B
I was like, yeah, Mika, you know it's going to be cold.
C
No, but she's going to be there. And she's been training her left foot forwards as well over the cope down season. So it's going to be good to see if she pulls anything to the left, get a bit of variety.
B
Thanks, Keena.
C
Thank you so much for having me.
B
Let's get straight into it. I want to ask you about Lorenzo. Can he continue this momentum after doing the trilogy? If you think Back to the 24 season, Andre had come off the trilogy. A lot of pressure, a lot of relief. I think doing it first put a lot of pressure on me. He had a bit of a speed bump through that. Next year, are we going to see the same from Lorenzo or is the professionalism, the Casadis going to ensure that doesn't happen?
A
Yeah, there's sort of a King curse, isn't there, that goes around. Let's think back. Nick Jacobson won King of the Air, never won it again. Kevin won it three times, but he's an anomaly. Jesse wins it, never wins again. Disappears off the face of the earth. Marc Jacobs wins it. Disappears off the face of the earth.
B
Well, Jesse won it twice. Yeah. Seven years apart.
A
Sure. You're weakening my point, Adrian. Hugely here midway through as well. People win King of the Air and then traditionally they don't do very well in the following year. Andrea broke that, didn't he? He's won it twice and he came back and he won Lords of Tram last year. Lorenzo came to Lords of Tram after winning King of the Air and his equipment exploded. He was on Cabrina stuff. Everything went wrong and that was the end of his momentum for a bit there. Do I think it's going to be a repeat? I think now that he's won two King of the Heirs, and he's done his own trilogy. I think he's in a different space. I think he will turn up and win this event.
B
I would be very surprised if someone beats Lorenzo. And I guess we're speaking without really knowing the form of the guys or what's going to happen. But you have to admire the Casati approach. You know? You know, you can be a hater, you can be a fan, but if you look back and stand back and look at the systems that Renato puts down for Lorenzo and for Leo, it's kind of impressive. You know, he. He said I. You know, I don't. I dot all the I's and cross all the T's. I leave no stone unturned. And you got to feel like with the professionalism that Harlem are bringing to the table right now, you kind of have to think that the. The ball's in his court. Can Leo get his first breakout win and knock his brother off?
A
I would love to see it, because I got Leo in my fantasy team.
B
Same. I got Leo as well.
A
Do you? Nice.
B
I don't want to get too much into fantasy right now. We can talk about fantasy, but with Leo, it's going to be when. When that happens, and it's going to happen until then.
A
Should we hear from Lorenzo?
E
Yo, bro. So feel super excited for the competition. Actually, I'm more motivated than ever to do well in this competition and then in the other one in Mykonos. Just arrived now to France. I think tomorrow and Friday is gonna be some good training days. I also came here last week to train and got some really nice tricks. So, yeah, I can't wait to show them in the comp. I think it's gonna be an epic one. So, yeah, I'm gonna go full sand and time to put a big show on. So, yeah, make sure to watch the competition, guys. And, yeah, time to send it. And yeah, man, it's actually like, a really excited moment outside of competition because on Friday, I'm gonna open my own shop in Tarifa together with my partner and manager, Nick. And, you know, like, it's not. It's not just a shop. It's more like a place where, like, people can come hang out, you know, talk about kite, watch videos, you know, just. Just spend time together. You know, we put, like, all my trophies there. You know, it's just, like, really cool to share the journey. And like, now, for example, on Saturday, Sunday, we're going to open the shop, like, put television there. So, like, all the people can watch the competition. So, yeah, if you guys are in Tarifa, make sure to come by, check it out and watch the competition there. See you.
B
What do you expect from Andrea leading to this event? Defending champion won it last year. He's won three of these crowns. But you'd have to say he's not coming in with the best preparation.
A
I don't think he will go. I had to guess. I would say he won't attend this event despite being incumbent Lord of Tram. Yeah. I think after his stunt in the Middle east and getting caught up in a war zone, I would not expect to see him at the first event of a championship that he's already won. Like, he doesn't need to do it, does he? Everyone always already thinks he's epic. I wouldn't go if I was him. Would you go?
B
I think if he turns up and doesn't perform, I don't think he's going to really upset him. He's not like Lorenzo. He's not like those guys who get bitterly disappointed when they lose. He pretty much rides and just accepts the result. And when you're the best, you accept wins. But if things aren't going right, you have to be prepared to take those losses. I think he's in that space right now. Whether he turns up is the other. The big question. I think that's a really great point. You said I don't know whether he will come, but if he does come, I think he. I think he'll just do as good as he can do and he'll be happy with that.
A
I really hope he does come.
B
Oh, for sure. Absolutely. I want to see all the trap boys riding together. Interestingly, though, for Jeremy, this is going to be the first GK event he's done since he won the 2024 GK World Championship in Gray Canary. Hasn't ridden anything since. Hasn't ridden this event for a couple years. Has openly said to us, I don't like the spot coming on the new NXT V2, which you and I were talking. So he's another guy who can perform here. Doesn't necessarily like it, but can perform. What are you thinking about Jamie Overbeek? Point to prove. Is this the start of the comeback?
A
Yeah, massive point to prove. No one's probably more motivated than him in the whole fleet. Will he be on the latest, greatest kite? I don't think so because he doesn't have any brand affiliation. He's not on any prototypes. He'll be riding stuff that's off the Shelf, as far as I know. But yeah, it'll be really good to check in with Jamie and to hear from him once we get to the. The event site. We're flying in late Friday, so we won't see him until Saturday when the competition's starting. But our coverage will be as as usual with video stuff. So expect to see Jamie in the post show, I think. Yeah, I think he's one to watch, isn't he?
B
I think the other guy in that similar group is Hugo Wigglesworth. Again, Ms. Dan Cota. Bitterly disappointed. You know, as I was saying the other day, well, there's only three guys that beat Lorenzo in a heat last year. Andre Chippy, Jeremy Blando and Hugo Wigglesworth. And he keeps bringing that up like he is pissed and I know he wants to get back and he wants a big win in Twin Tip. Yeah, let's hear from Hugo now.
A
Yeah, hi, Adrian. Just got to France. The forecast is looking super promising. It'll be six months since my last Twin Tip competition, so really excited for it and nothing to lose for myself. I guess. The goal for this year is to at least get one big podium on the Twin Tip side and, yeah, I'm going to continue with the height for a bigger. Realistically, there's plenty of time to train both disciplines, so. Yeah. Cheers.
B
Women's Colin, I have a little bit of an update on the women's side. We have two ladies out. Pippa Van Ursul still struggling to get over her hip injury and also Zoe Svenia Peters. There has been some scrambling on the administration front. So the first two lady reserves, Nikki Sherry, she's the Australian champion and riding for Core. And then Esti Nagi. I spoke to Cedric. A lot of scrambling at the site because I think Nikki has told him that she cannot make Saturday just due to the flights. So she's still on the list at the moment because I haven't caught a green light. If it does get postponed and she can make it, she will come. They do not know the next rider off the fleet. Interestingly, I woke up this morning to a phone or a message from Michaela Pilkington and Michaela. Classic Michaela. She said to me, I can't believe they've called me into the Lords of Tram. She was having some fun with it. She said she's not going. She's. She's actually in Argentina at a promo event. But she was laughing, just saying, oh, they must be desperate if they're calling me, which I thought was funny. And it was. It was good. For her to have a bit of a laugh at that. But big loss on the lady side. And interestingly, they're really struggling to fill that up. There are some other girls on that list, but none of them are actually confirmed. As it stands on the guys list, the men are riding as per the fleet. Let's talk about Micah practicing a left foot forward. It's Micah versus the fleet, right? I mean, that's. That's the way you gotta look at it.
A
Yeah. She's been doing loads of aerial bored, flippy, catchy, whippy, which I don't really like and I don't think she would really like, but she seems to be practicing that on her Instagram. It'll be interesting to see if she brings any of that to this comp. And whether the judges like that, whether she can do it with loops or not is we're not sure. But, yeah, that could be the direction that big air women's skyboarding goes. Just getting more technical with bored off stuff. She will win this, you'd have to say. That's why I paid 350 Breeze for her to put her in.
B
My team mate Raleigh just bought it today for 20 bucks off the marketplace. But we'll get back to that in a second. I want to bring up another name who I'm super interested in. Lana Herman. I went back, I looked at the interviews. After she got third place at the Red Bull King of the Air, she was disappointed a lot. She spoke about the mental game, but she spoke about wanting more wind. She's a fearless, crazy writer who thrives on that, you know, powered situation. Colin, is this the event that she could come out and really show this potential she's had for a couple years? Because a lot of people have been talking about Alana for a long time, including me and you. We're still waiting for that really breakout punch performance.
A
Yeah, she's a rock star. Not just in interviews where she's annoyed. On the water as well. She's epic. I think she's on the right kite as well. She's got that Harlem Peak and really likes it. I think that she has the right, like, sort of killer mindset in competitions too. Really well liked rider amongst the fleet as well, I think. Not that that really means anything. I don't know why I've mentioned that, but she's popular. Yeah. Lana, she's epic. She is epic.
B
Francesca Maney, two events, two head knocks. Am I right to be worried about her? Especially going to this event where it's, as you said, it's a scary event, it's a dangerous event.
A
Yeah, I think it's pretty clear that Francesca is an amazing athlete, has a great mentality, is incredible with a kite, incredible in a foil and a board. No matter what you give her, she's great but she doesn't have what it, what she needs to be able to turn it off in a competition. She's hit her head twice in the last two events and both times she kept riding. So she, in my opinion shouldn't be the one in charge of deciding whether she should continue to ride. And I don't think her, the people that have been with her at the event so far should be either because she should have been stopped in both of those in my opinion and in the opinion of medical professionals too. So, yeah, I hope that her team is a bit different. They probably need a change of person and a change of responsibility there just to make sure because it's really dangerous, this stuff. It's really dangerous.
B
You spoke about her being a water person, a water woman and just loving foiling, downwinding, winging, kiting, everything. Do you think that is a detriment to her riding that she's not just focused on the big air all the time like the Natalie's, like the Zara's and just pushing big air non stop?
A
I don't think so for her. I think it gives her like really well rounded interest in all of those so there's not too much pressure on anyone, makes her more valuable to sponsors but also just alleviates the pressure on her that she could be a lifestyle rider if she wanted very easily with that kind of pedigree behind her. So no in her case, no in someone like, I don't know, Baby Shark's case when he was trying to wing loads, I think it did distract him. Yeah.
B
Speaking of baby shark, he returns to competition from a big break new sponsor. He's. Yeah, he's going to announce that tomorrow. As I said to you over the last, I've seen a massive change in this kid, a big change. He's working with a mental coach. This guy Michael is there for him all the time, actually keeping him in line, which is great to see. Look, I don't think he's going to be fully dialed into the new gear just yet. He's only been riding it for less than a week, under a week probably. So I wouldn't expect massive things from him. I think it's more of a case of For Baby Shark is the comeback starts now. It's this event, day one his goal is to get back to King of the Air. His goal is to be back in that. In that sort of arena that he really wants to. I want him to be excited about competitions because I do see and I have heard him talking about moving away from competitions at some stage to concentrate on just doing content, which he's really great at. But it's too soon. It's too soon for me. He still owes the sport something and this sport owes him something, you know, with the. The big, you know, big crazy GK moves of the year. I mean, he can do it. Let's hear from Baby Shark, AKA Yosui San ferreira.
A
Hi, Adrian.
F
How's it going, man? Just to let you know that I'm here in France. I'm ready training for the Lord of Tram. And yeah, super happy with my new team, actually doing all the works and all the new regime for the competition. Pre competition. It's all new for me. And also with the new gear, I'm pretty happy, actually. I got used to the kites really fast, so that's pretty good. And yeah, super good about it. Super happy. I'm with winner mentality right now. I feel super great, actually. My mind is back on focus. Last year I was really upset about King of the Air, you know, not being there and also not doing as great as in a lot of competitions. I wasn't feeling great, but, yeah, had to get back in focus, couldn't stop. And, yeah, now I'm back on track, man. I think now with the new gear and a lot of happening so early, I think I would just try to do my best in calm.
B
There was a time when people were talking about him being in the big five, the trap, Jamie and him. That was the chat. And it wasn't just from one people. It was from the people in that group were talking about that being the big five. So I want to see him back there. It's not going to happen this week, but it's the start. I'm looking forward to it.
A
So am I.
B
Let me ask you about Finn Flugel. He's in a very interesting position. He is the. He is the world champion at freestyle, which is not unusual because if we look back, we had Artag was a world champion in freestyle competing at the same time. But you have to say Finn's got more potential and big air to do well if he does well here. I mean, where does this set him up to? Could he become or start slowly becoming the face of Duotone?
A
I think certainly the face of Duotone. It's just whether or not he becomes the face of kiteboarding, I think even bigger. I think he's really marketable. I think he's German. I think, yeah, mega talent. He's got it all, really, isn't it? I don't think he even needs to excel in this event, honestly. He just needs to continue to ride in, like a unique, interesting way, which is what he does already. So, yeah, we're excited to see Finn Flugel. For me, this is his first proper debut as a. As a big dog. He attended last year, but it was kind of the world was a different place, wasn't it? He hadn't won his freestyle World Championship. He wasn't that established. Everyone was like, he's a young kid. Whereas now it's like, oh, shit, that's the guy everyone's talking about. So, yeah, I'm really excited to watch him.
D
What's up, everyone? It's Finn here. Yeah, I feel pretty good for Lords of Tram. Yeah, will be my first comp after the winning the freestyle world title last year. So, yeah, I'm feeling pretty ready for it. And yeah, I think everything is possible in this comp. The riders, like, the level is absolutely huge and everyone has a good chance of going far in the comp. So, yeah, I will absolutely give him my all. And yeah, I think if I get into a flow stage again like I did in the Freestyle World cup, just getting that perfect mindset and yeah, just feeling ready for it, I think I can go really far in the comp as well. So, yeah, I hope again that flow again. And yeah, if you're ready, can't wait to compete again. And yeah, will be absolutely insane.
B
And it's going to be interesting to see how he handles that pressure. He might not think so much about it now, but there's some pressure for him, you know, I mean, there's pressure on him. In the Fantasy Files podcast, which you can watch on Portrait right now, Raleigh said it's almost like his career has been developed for him for these moments. You know, whether it's the father support, you know, being involved in water sports for so long, living in the right locations, being German, that's a big thing that we haven't really thought about. We haven't had a real big German superstar. I mean, I think Germany's 40% of the market and this could blow him up. I think a long career in two different, different disciplines and I don't think anyone's ever really won a big air world championship and a freestyle and, and won them properly. I mean, he could be the first person to do that.
A
No, come on. Aaron Hadlow, he's been at the top of both.
B
But there was no GK World Championship then, you know.
A
Yeah, it was even harder to win. Aaron did it when it was harder. No, but he still won King of the Air.
B
Different generations, though, man, he won that 10 or five or six years, seven years after he won his last freestyle.
A
So you're saying winning them both at the same time?
B
Well, I'm not saying at the same time, but within the same time period. I mean, you gotta remember, Finn's only 16 years old.
A
I still think Aaron, what Aaron did is impressive. I'm just trying to think if Yuri Zun. No, he wouldn't have been freestyle champion and doing well in King of the Air.
B
I think Keon, he made the final one. King of the Year, he made the final, but yeah, it's a tough one to do. Speaking of young ones, Zach Adams again. I want to see some momentum from Zach. I find I felt like last year he had a great King of the Air performance. He had another great King of the Air performance, but he never really tapped that onto solid performances throughout the year. You know, he lost in some qualifiers, didn't do super well in other events. I want to see him regularly making those semifinals. He should. That should be his goal. I'm going to make every semi final for the event. I mean, if he wants to be considered in that sort of top echelon riders, that's the consistency you really need. By the way, if you turn up and just make semi finals at every king there, people are going to still call you a legend. Right? But I think Zach personally want. Would like to do well all the time. I mean, I think that's got to be a goal for him.
G
What's up, guys? Yeah, it's been a bit of a minute since King there, for sure. Been having so much great times these past couple months. Heading to Vietnam and everything. It's been great working on some crazy stuff with my boy Addie and Jeremy, of course. But yeah, we're kind of back into it now. Tom's about to happen hopefully in the next couple days and we're hoping to get some absolute proper wind. And for sure, while I've been gone, I've been working on some stuff in the background that hopefully will help me out during these next couple. Next couple of comps. So I hope whip it out soon. And yeah, man, I can't wait for these next couple months and I'm super ready to Be locked in again and compete because, you know, King, there was such a rush and everything with Andrea and all my friends. So I can't wait to get back in the jersey and you know, whip out there in those 40 knots of win. It's been quite a bit since I've been back in the water so I'm so excited again to bang out some some crazy stuff and rock again. So yeah, hopefully we have some banger conditions for this comp and the next ones coming up and I hope to see you all soon because it's going to be a banger time. All right, cheers brothers.
B
He's sort of broken away from Parker and and Shahar there, which is a sort of same grouping that he. He's around. I mean Shah another guy. Great opportunity to take over that role from heel. Let's be the be the core number one.
A
No, I don't think so. He'll is in my fantasy team. I also, I also purchased him this morning, so I don't think so. I think I'm all in for he'll going deep.
B
How do you think he's going to go in Argentina at the moment? Other side of the world maybe hasn't been having the training.
A
Is he gonna make it?
B
For sure he'll make excellent.
A
Wow, that's private jitter, isn't it?
B
Capital.com probably.
A
That's good. Well, yeah, we love to hear that. It does look like they've been having a good time over there in Patagonia, doesn't it?
B
What about the sefers? Luca Taruti, Jason Van der Spee, Josh Gillett, Great guys, big smiles, big personalities. Who's going to do the best from those three?
A
I reckon Jason on this new Nash Kite because he actually looks really good on it. Annie's. Annie's the lead of our series coming out next week, isn't he? We bloody love Jason Vander Spey. So I vote Jason.
B
I'm gonna say Luca. Rolly was telling me that Luca is the fourth ranked writer in last year's fantasy for points scored and I was saying this in the other podcast. Luca doesn't have the massive big scoring tricks but what he has is great consistent writing and he's got over this mental demons that he faced for so many years and he just seems to be so consistent in his approach. And mate, he makes semi finals, he makes finals. He's always there or thereabouts. He's actually been a lot better of a performer than I think we've given him credit to. Josh is just reckless again, if it's super crazy. I mean, Josh can do it. He can do it. But I worry about Josh. Josh worries me as I worry about Francesca. Just multiple big crashes. It starts to take a toll on you. Even if you don't say it does, that starts to play in your mind after a while.
A
We'll talk to us about concussions. Adrian, because you played rugby at high level for a long time. How's it work when you get one?
B
You don't know. That's the crazy thing. If anyone's had a concussion out there, they'll know what I'm talking about. You generally don't know. You will be more than likely, in the case of Josh, you'll just be on the sidelines, just waiting, hanging around your friends, and next thing you know, you've got all these people with their faces on you. As you come out of this sort of like a haze, I guess the best way to describe it, and you're in total confusion, and that's the worst thing because, A, you're confused about what's going on, and B, you're just asking the same questions over and over because you are. You can't remember anything. And it's. It's a very, very scary situation. It's. You know, the knockout is not painful. There's no pain. It's just blackness. It's like waking up from a dream that you never knew were asleep and being completely confused. That's the. That's the crazy thing about it. But the more concussions you have, the less it takes you to knock you out. They used to say about boxers, they used to say a boxer's chin. And it wasn't about taking the shots over and over. They. They said that the mind would actually switch off faster to protect you. They don't think you're getting. They don't think that.
A
What do you mean? The boxer's chin.
B
You know, a boxer, like a boxer can take a punch. Like a boxer's chin, right? They got a good chin, they can take a shot. But after a few knockouts, the chin gets weaker. You get a glass called a glass jaw. But they don't think it's the. There's no strength loss. I think the mind actually just starts switching your brain off to protect you. Because people are tough, athletes are hard. Josh is a tough guy. He's not going to give up. He wants to do it. Same with Francesca. They want to go back out because their core instinct is to go and compete is to go and do it, to get back out there and that's, that's the. That's the heart of an athlete and that's why the brain is like, well, if you don't want to stop, I'll make you stop.
A
I like that a lot. Yeah.
B
I want to ask you about the three eyes. Stino, Kimo, Timo. Semifinals and finals. Are those guys going to do the same? They just seem to thrive at this location. You know, being Dutch, they just dominated the French. They were amazing. Are we going to see the same from these guys again?
A
Can you remember Timo? He just went so disgustingly big. Everyone was like, oh, oh, yo, Adrian.
D
Looks like Lords of Tram is happening this Saturday and I'm very stoked to be back and honored to be pre selected again after finishing fifth last year. Cisco D. I've been busy testing gear with a few other brands and Kymana has been a big help with that for this season. It has been a bit different though, as I've been dealing with a lower abdominal muscle there. So I've spent the last nine weeks focusing on rehab and I had my first session back yesterday. Felt a bit rusty, but I'm confident and ready to compete again. So let's see how it goes. I'll be focusing on getting the muscle memory back over the next few days and give him a hold.
B
This Saturday we put that carousel up from last year on the day's first big tricks. And when people ask me what I do, I say I cover kite boarding. I show them those five moves and Timo's in there and it is ridiculous. I mean, it is. I think that first one is like a back roll board off. Late back. And dude, he's like 25 meters high. This is crazy. I don't even know how those guys do it. I mean, it's insane, but a little bit like, Zach, great performances. You got to back them up.
A
Stino should not be overlooked considering how he did last year outside of King of the Air. I think if it gone deep in King of the Air, everyone would be like wise maybe knocking on the door to win something. But no one's saying that because he bailed out earlier. King of the Air, but I think, yeah, he could easily podium this. What kite will Timo be on is he left Nash.
B
Chemo's on Slingshot. Timo was on Nash. I believe he's unsigned at the moment. I did reach out to him a few times to see if he wanted to come on the podcast to announce a new sponsor and he said, hey, listen, I haven't sort anything out, so it's going to be very interesting to see what he's writing. There are some new guys on kites and Nathan Texas riding on Elevate I've seen. So that's going to be super interesting. I. I wonder what he's writing. I mean, that's crazy if. I mean he's such a good writer, such a talent, you know, good looking kid, could be great on, on video shoots. It's strange that he hasn't been picked up by someone and. And supported by a brand because he could be the face of a brand, you know, looks the part, can definitely ride his ass off. Nice kid too, you know, Got everything going for him.
A
Yeah, for sure, for sure. All right, are we about there? Should we talk fantasy? Who's in your squad?
B
You want to talk about my squad?
A
All right, of course I do. I'll tell you mine because I literally did this morning. So I got Leonardo Casati in my first pack. I was pretty happy with that. Also got Baby Shark. I was happy. And then I sold a couple folk. I think I sold Sara Sadiq and I sold. I think I might have had chemo, actually, I think I sold chemo. And then I paid three pounds to get some Breeze and. Which felt odd paying for something inside my own app. But anyway, we did it and then I got bought Mika for an absolute bargain. Like some idiot was letting Mika. Yeah, crazy.
B
Did you pay for 20 breeze for Mika?
A
No, no, I paid like 200 or something. 200, 250. And then I paid 350 for heel.
B
Whoa, nice.
A
Yeah, I just thought, you know what I want. Healey boy sat in my, sat in my B category.
B
Before I give you my team, let me give you some basic stats. And again, you know, classic kite boarding, you know, that sort of tripped us up and, you know, happened before we've been ready. But there's been 2008 packs claimed. 350 listings on Marketplace. There's 350 people trying to trade. It's crazy how many people are on Marketplace and there's been more than 13,000. Breeze spent already. 13,000? Really, Brent? Already? The Marketplace is absolutely crazy. Let me just quickly go through my team. I've gone Jamie Overbeak, Hugo Wigglesworth, Finn Flugel, Lana Herman, and I'm independent. How much money have you spent, mate? I haven't spent a cent. I've just opened my packs. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been lucky. Actually. That's a lie. I bought Jamie. I bought Jamie because I had. The problem was originally I've Got two Leos, but I don't have. I don't. I can't find the Harlem brand. If anyone's out there, wants to sell, sell me a Harlem, go on the marketplace and make sure you let me know so I can buy it quickly. So I'm riding independent brand Lana, which I think is going to pick up some good points. Finn Flugel, the face of. The face of the future, Hugo Wigsworth. I mean, he's determined to do well. And then Jamie a couple years ago.
A
Oh, now I'm thinking my team are maybe not that. How have you got that good a team without. You must have spent loads of money.
B
Mate, I got three packs. I opened up my. I've got three packs.
A
Yeah, you should only get one. Why have you got three?
B
You've got. You've got an extra pack as well. Go in and look in your packs. You've got two packs open. Yeah, you should.
A
Yeah, I opened my two, but why have you got three if you haven't spent any money?
B
How much breeze have I got left? How much breeze do we start with?
A
I don't know. I had to buy somewhere, so now I've got loads.
B
Oh, dude, I've got 50 breeze left. I don't think I. Maybe I did buy a pack. I can't remember. But anyway, cut a long story short, amazing turnout for the Fantasy. A lot of people have been loving that. If you want to hear more about that on Portrait, there is a free video called the Fantasy Files. It's lords of tram 2026. Christian, Rollie and I break down our packs, what we've done, and we've also spoken a little bit about how the extra bonuses and rarity works. So that's super interesting. It's crazy how many people are trading. I mean, if you look at that marketplace, dude, Rollie bought a Mecca for 20 Breeze today.
A
People are so stupid, aren't they?
B
I know. I don't understand what's going on. I mean, there is market. If you look at the top there, you can actually search by category, which is super cool. But if you look at tier A, the top. Tier A's Andrea 350. There's Andrea 500. There's a whole bunch of great writers out there. There's Jeremy Blando for 60. Get that.
A
Shall I get Bando instead of Leo?
B
But dude, don't get Leo unless you've got. Unless you have the Harlem brand. You need to have Harlem. You need to double down on that.
A
Oh, yeah. Otherwise it's a bit stupid.
B
Yeah, you need to have your top picks with your. With your brand. That's the key. This is. It's a big step up and it's taken away the cheap factor of just having Lorenzo and Harlem and winning everything. So you can't do that anymore unless you. Unless you want to invest, spend and, yeah, trade.
A
How good is it?
B
That's awesome. And it is really awesome. I'm super, I'm super stoked about this one. I mean, Raleigh spent the whole day on Marketplace that I'm kind of feeling like I haven't done that. But I definitely need to spend a little bit more time and invest in that. But I think it's going to take a couple of rounds to build up the breeze. I'm. I haven't spent any money yet, but I might have to if I start. If Raleigh starts kicking my ass. But I, you know, when you're playing against Raleigh, it's like playing against the Grand Charizard. You know, he's got them inside hacks and, you know, you know, Andre might be a 1.2 rarity card, which gives you 1.2 times the score every time, but I think Raleigh's got some, you know, threes under his name.
A
He's just not telling us for sure. I believe that. Yeah. We're guys, we're really proud about this new fantasy rewrite. It's actually kind of crazy. The first time I went on it, I was like, oh, my goodness, we've outdone ourselves this time. We have truly outdone ourselves.
B
So, yeah, before we go, what about the text you got from Elliptin, who's riding in the fleet? Young rider, up and coming rider. Just sign with F1. You know, Big, big future ahead of him. What happened?
A
Yeah, I have to perform well for Lords of Tram to stop these people selling me for 50.
B
Last thing before we go, Colin. The two first reserves on the men's side, Yena Bo and Parker Sage. So if someone pulls out, I think Yen is first off the first off the line there then. And then Parker would be the second person. So, yeah, we do have a couple of males standing by. By all accounts, it looks like it's going to go this Saturday. If something drastically changes, which it probably won't, maybe we'll see some other changes to that fleet down the line. But anyway, here's to the first event of the year.
A
A biggie for sure. Yeah. So the next time you hear from us will be from the event site at Lords of Tram. We'll be bringing you the latest in video coverage of each day, we hope. And yeah, follow us on Instagram. I'm. I think what I'll do, Adrian, we haven't done this yet is I think I just might sit there clipping and just putting highlights up on the. On Instagram. What do you think?
B
Great idea. Yeah, let's do that.
A
Yeah. No one else is doing that. Might be quite good. And also join our inside the tent thing because that's where we will discuss, like, how people are going in heat and you can keep up to date on the behind the scenes stuff through that, too. So that's enough for this one, I think. Thank you, as always. We'll see you in the next one, which will be from France, Mildred Tram. Goodbye.
