Podcast Family. My name is Michael Chernow, and this is the Creatures of Habit podcast. Our habits will make us or they will break us. I've lived on both sides of the tracks and have experienced some of the best and the worst that habits have in stor the decisions we make on a consistent basis truly define who we.

Let's go. Creatures Community. Happy Monday Monday. Moment. I was thinking of something that I wanted to share with you that I heard a few weeks ago that really made me think. I heard that, like, after three generations, typically you're forgotten. Like, think about it. How much do you know about your great grandparents? You got your parents, your grandparents, and your great grandparents. How much do you know about them? If you really think about it, Not a lot, if anything at all. So that three generation thing, when I. When I heard that, I was like, whoa, that's so real. That's so true. Like three generations and you're forgotten. Forgotten. They just don't know about you anymore. That third generation is. Doesn't have any info on you. Imagine you lived your life trying to defy that. Like, if that was your. That was part of your mission. I want to be. I don't. I want legacy beyond three generations. What would you have to do to get legacy beyond three generations so that your great grandchildren are like, that was my great grandfather. That was my great grandmother. What would you have to do? I really started thinking about that. I was like, whoa, wait a second. That. That brings something really interesting to the table. If I want my great grandkids to know who I was, what do I have to do? Well, you probably have to be a great storyteller, right? Because you want to tell your kids great stories. You want your kids to tell their kids great stories about the fact that their father told them these stories, and then you want those Stories to be so good that their kids told their kids that their father, great grandfather, whatever it is. Storytelling. Storytelling is a big part of it, right? Like, you hear about, like, the chiefs, right? Like, they tell great stories that the elders, the elder women in the. In the. In the communities, storytellers. They tell great stories. But beyond storytelling, what would you have to do to make your legacy live beyond three generations? I've added that to my life plan. I want my legacy to last beyond three generations. Because when I thought about it, I was like, oh, my gosh, it's so true. I don't know anything about my great grandparents on either side. And that's probably true for most people that don't have living great grandparents. Just chew on that one for a little bit. Chew on that. How can you make a wave there? What would it. What would it take? Given your current circumstance? What would you have to change? If this is interesting to you, it was just a really interesting thing to me. That's why I think that, like, it would be, you know, for me doing these little Monday moments. Like, the goal for me is to just inspire you all to think. Inspire you to think. This was something that truly made me think, holy smokes. I really want my great, great, great grandkids to know me. What do I gotta do to make that happen? How do I make that happen? And so that's a little bit. A little part of what I've added to sort of like my life strategy. I want to make a big old wave. I want to make a big old wave. So that legacy is a real thing along the Chernow lineage. And maybe that's something that could inspire you to shake the tree a little bit. This is a short one, but it was one that I thought was made sense to share, so chew on that this week and until the next one, y'. All, Peace.
