Ryan Lemon
Lender nmlsconsumeraccess.org I've calls Drew didn't cut anybody off.
Shannon The Dude
Really good calls too.
Ryan Lemon
Got folks on you know maybe turning over new leaf. I mean don't get too excited but.
Matt Jones
Maybe for even went through Patriot Papa and Gary and Orlando. Let them talk.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah both of them talking about their young women. Yeah which was good calls. I mean it's, it's one thing people are suggesting guys who would have done really well in nil in Their day. I think Jared Lorenz is the best one.
Matt Jones
That's a great answer.
Ryan Lemon
That's a great answer. Tim Couch, but he made a lot of money in the NFL, so I'm trying to think of people who would have made money here that probably didn't make a ton in the NFL or NBA. I think the best example is. I think the best example is Jared. I like you said Benny Snell. I like that one.
Shannon The Dude
Benny just missed out on it. I heard him talk about that before, too.
Ryan Lemon
Cash Daniels, a good one. I like Richie is a good one.
Matt Jones
I think all the unforgettables. Richie probably would lead the way, but felt House Pelfrey and trying to think.
Ryan Lemon
What do you think about Bass? I mean, we've had so many dudes get in the NBA recently. Basketball. Darius Miller.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Mean, I know he played in the NBA, but he probably didn't make a ton. Ton. He was beloved here. So. Derek Willis, Dominique Hawkins.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
You know.
Matt Jones
Yeah, Rex would have. He made a lot of money in the NBA, but he would have been.
Ryan Lemon
Oh, I mean, Rex would have. I mean. I mean John Wall and Anthony Davis. I mean Anthony Davis. If he was just able to sell brow stuff.
Matt Jones
Yeah. Right.
Ryan Lemon
Come on.
Matt Jones
Oh, Josh Harrelson.
Ryan Lemon
Oh, Josh Harrelson.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
George. That's a really, really good one because he could have sold George while he was playing. Yeah. Can you imagine how many people would have shown up to the game sh. Wearing jorts during that year?
Billy Rutledge
He would have crushed it.
Ryan Lemon
He would have.
Billy Rutledge
Some of these guys didn't have the opportunity.
Ryan Lemon
That's a real. That's a Macy Morris.
Matt Jones
Yes. Another good one on the women's side.
Ryan Lemon
She would have. She would have crushed it too, I think. What else, you know who else would do well are those gymnasts.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Because we're our uk like, people don't, like. I don't even know their names, but the UK gymnast girls, like those little girls, they fill that place up for stuff. I could have seen them doing really well.
Shannon The Dude
Yeah, I guess Sydney makes a lot of money now. It's a little different because they don't have a pro league. But if Sydney could have leaned into the Kentucky audience a little more while she was here, there would have been a lot of nil potential there too.
Ryan Lemon
There's a girl on the track team right now that has a big social media following.
Matt Jones
Yes.
Ryan Lemon
I don't know her name.
Matt Jones
But you're right, though. There is.
Ryan Lemon
There's a girl on the track team.
Matt Jones
That I think has like a million followers.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. Something crazy Yeah, I don't know her name. But anyway, she. She would have done. All right. Let's go over a couple quick things. UK well would have. She came now, I guess. UK baseball sweeps 17 Oklahoma.
Matt Jones
Huge weekend.
Ryan Lemon
Not locking up the tournament, but pretty close because they are. They play South Carolina next weekend. They probably don't even have to win that series. Vandy, who's not very good. Right.
Billy Rutledge
Top. So probably don't even have top 15 in the country.
Ryan Lemon
Oh, I thought they weren't good.
Matt Jones
They were down a little bit.
Billy Rutledge
Well, I mean, that is down for them.
Ryan Lemon
Okay, well, just don't get swept. Right. Like, I could just win one down there because it's on the road. I think they did beat Tennessee this weekend in a series. Mandy. Yeah. But getting close to being in the tournament, so big win. The UK women's softball team made the tournament for the 15th straight year. They will play, I think, in the Clemson play Northwestern Regional. They play Northwestern. Battle of the Wildcats. So congrats to. Congrats to Rachel Lawson and her squad.
Matt Jones
You know, the softball program and the volleyball program. It's just become a common thing when they just make the tournament and do so well in the postseason. They're both just succeeding.
Shannon The Dude
They didn't have a great year and then they lost first game, the sec. I don't know how close to the bubble they were, but, you know, street keeps moving on.
Ryan Lemon
That's right. And you know, for the baseball team, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year. And now you get in and you never know. You throw a pitch here, pitch there, little slider Shannon. Next thing you know, you might be in the. You might. You might be in the. Might get a win.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah. Yeah. We were saying, you know, for the baseball team, if you can just get three out of the six, they've already got three from this weekend. So, you know, maybe if you get one from Vandy, I think you're absolutely.
Ryan Lemon
You're probably in. Yeah, you're probably in.
Shannon The Dude
They have one more game. It won't matter the resume that much. They play at home against Northern Kentucky tomorrow. Final home game.
Ryan Lemon
Okay. That's tomorrow.
Shannon The Dude
Yes.
Ryan Lemon
Play a little Norse.
Billy Rutledge
Just don't lose that game.
Ryan Lemon
They had a pretty good crowd this weekend.
Shannon The Dude
Yeah. Senior Day national anthem. Yeah, over there.
Ryan Lemon
Very, very cool. And we're talking about. We may go when they play in the first round. We've talked about maybe making that trip wherever if they're somewhere relatively close.
Matt Jones
It was a huge weekend that the pitcher Oklahoma threw on Friday is considered like one of the best probably the best pitcher in the SEC, and he's a top 10.
Ryan Lemon
And we smacked him. Smacked him, smacked him. So eat it, Oklahoma. We've been kind of owning Oklahoma here since they joined the sec. Wait till we play him in football. Then we'll really show them who's boss. Stop laughing. By the way, I saw Back to the Pope for a second. Did you see the video of him at the World series game? Like, 2005?
Shannon The Dude
No, I didn't see that.
Ryan Lemon
So they have this picture of the White Sox World Series in 2005. It's like, one out from it being over, and they flash the crowd, and there he is. And he's just standing there like a fan, kind of rocking back and forth. Here's what I don't understand. Ryan, who found that?
Matt Jones
Exactly.
Ryan Lemon
And how did they know? Yeah, he's just a random guy in the crowd. And somebody found it. Which means, I mean, they must have found it by going like, somebody must have been watching their old White Sox championship tape and went, wait a minute. Is that Bob the Pope? Like, how did they find that?
Matt Jones
Well, I thought it was maybe because somebody in his parsonage tipped media savage. You know, his.
Ryan Lemon
Isn't that where a preacher lives?
Matt Jones
I think it is. Somebody in his church then.
Shannon The Dude
I like that light. We saw that light bulb right there.
Ryan Lemon
Go. Parsonage is where a, like, preacher.
Matt Jones
That's right.
Ryan Lemon
So you think it was somebody in his home?
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Okay.
Matt Jones
Or it could have been his big brother. Told the media, said, hey, you know, there's a picture of him during the White Sox brother.
Ryan Lemon
But that video's been floating around, and he's just in the crowd. He's not in his father gear.
Matt Jones
Right.
Billy Rutledge
Those people have no idea they're hanging out with the future Pope.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, they're, like, right next to the Pope at the World Series.
Matt Jones
That's kind of crazy.
Ryan Lemon
And he's obviously clearly a sports fan.
Matt Jones
Yes.
Ryan Lemon
And the Cubs take a big L by claiming him as a Cubs fan. And it turns out he's a White Sox fan.
Shannon The Dude
Yeah, they took a victory lap when he was announced. It does just feel like, you know, I don't know a lot about all the other Popes, but they just went out and got one of the boys, you know.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, he's just Bob.
Shannon The Dude
Yeah, just Bob likes everybody else there.
Ryan Lemon
They all speak Latin.
Shannon The Dude
And so they made a big deal yesterday because he wore an apple watch.
Ryan Lemon
You know, just Bob.
Shannon The Dude
Just gotta check his message.
Ryan Lemon
An apple watch? Yeah.
Matt Jones
Likes pizza. Where's apple?
Ryan Lemon
Myron on ESPN goes, I think this is the first pope to ever be a sports fan. And I was like, Byron, just slow down. I was like, he's. I'm sure the other ones were sports fans. They just don't live in America, you know, I'm sure the other ones had seen sports. They didn't go to a White Sox game, but they were, you know, they were probably a sports fan.
Shannon The Dude
So the last one has a Kentucky basketball jersey.
Ryan Lemon
That's right. So. So there you go. All right, I've gotten one hour through. Let's try Peanut. Go ahead, Peanut. Andy is third in the arc, by the way. Shannon. So maybe I would. I was a little long with him being d. Go ahead.
Caller
How's it going? I think what Bill Bell checks doing with that young girl is. Must be the Patriot way, because my wife's a Patriots fan. She's from up north, and she was. She already had her license when I was born.
Ryan Lemon
Wait a minute. She's older than you?
Caller
Yeah, That's. So she must be the Patriot way up there.
Ryan Lemon
So how old are you right now? How old are you, peanut?
Caller
I'm 48. About. I'll be 49 in a week and a half, and she'll be.
Ryan Lemon
And how old is your wife? How old's your wife?
Caller
She's 60. She's 64.
Ryan Lemon
Interesting. So you don't see that a lot in reverse. How. How old were you when you met?
Caller
We've been together for 10 years, so I was 38 and she was 38.
Ryan Lemon
And she was 54. Well, where did you guys meet, Peanut?
Caller
When I came to Florida, she was the property manager at the apartments I was staying at.
Ryan Lemon
Wow.
Caller
And friends with the girl that I was staying with.
Matt Jones
Peanut got a cougar.
Ryan Lemon
So. Okay, again, you on these topics. Mute.
Matt Jones
Mute.
Ryan Lemon
All right, go ahead, Peanut.
Caller
Yeah, we. She was staying with a friend's girlfriend at the time, and the. At her apartment, and she was friends with the manager, and that's.
Ryan Lemon
And I met her, and the rest is history. Well, Peanut, all right. Well, good to see. You know what? I'm glad it's worked this long. And good for you. Anything else?
Caller
That's it. Go, Cat.
Ryan Lemon
You learned a lot about Appreciate. You learn a lot about your callers. Like, I didn't realize Gary in Orlando dated some. I mean, like, these people have lives. I didn't see Peanut as, like, being 38 years old, out looking for older women.
Shannon The Dude
See what happens when you let them talk? We get to learn so much gaps.
Ryan Lemon
That's another thing, Shannon. Who knew? I mean, we only had Six callers. There's been huge age gaps in three of the six relationships.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah, you never know.
Ryan Lemon
What? You never know. That's right, Po. You never know. Go ahead, Po.
Caller
Yeah. Have a blessed day, guys, and thanks for having me on. I was just gonna say that this Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson. Is that her name?
Ryan Lemon
Jordan Hudson? Yes. From American Idol. Yeah.
Caller
Okay. Yeah. The only thing I can think of that reminds me of this situation is a Hollywood movie. The Blind side was Sandra Bullock's character. And that's all I wanted to say. And go big blue and. Okay, please come back.
Ryan Lemon
All right. There you go. I don't. I don't totally get that analogy he's trying to say. Okay, you hush. Yeah.
Matt Jones
Sandra Bullock went on the practice field and tried to tell the coaches how to coach in the movie in the Blind side. Maybe that's what he's talking about.
Ryan Lemon
Okay. Maybe. Yeah. I don't know if that's what he meant or not. I'm not sure. Drew, do you.
Shannon The Dude
I. I took it as he thought, like.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, that's what I took it. I thought it is, too.
Shannon The Dude
She adopted him, by the way. If you didn't know that.
Ryan Lemon
I know they had, like.
Matt Jones
Yeah, so.
Ryan Lemon
So when the thing came out. Do they get along? I thought they, like, had a. The player and the family. They were disputing who made money from it. Wasn't there a lawsuit recently? I think there was. Do you know what the status of that?
Shannon The Dude
I don't know the latest on it, but I know it wasn't as nice.
Ryan Lemon
As the movie made it seem. Read that book when it came out. And the book is not like the movie. The book is about left tackles. Like the book is. The book is about college football recruiting and left tackles. They basically follow Ole Miss as they try to recruit people. And it's about the importance of people who play the. Who cover the Blind side. It's not really about there. And they use Michael Oher as, like, an example, but it's not the centerpiece of the book. The book's about other stuff, and they just took that little story and made it into the book. Does that make sense?
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
So probably what made the player mad is he agreed to be part of this book that was a bigger book about the importance of left tackles. And then they took his personal story and made a huge movie from it. And then he didn't really get any of it.
Matt Jones
I didn't know that part of the book. I love the movie part. Yeah. He sued the Tuohys for they Said they. He's trying to say they kept money from him from the proceeds they made from the movie.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. It's just interesting. And the same is like Moneyball. Like Moneyball. The movie is very different than the book.
Matt Jones
Is it really?
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. The book is about the A's, but it's more about analytics and numbers. Like, you don't. It's not like, about Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill and like those characters. It's more just about the idea. It's more of almost a analytical book that they then turned into the movie. Same thing with the Blind side. It's not really about what the movie became about, even though that story was part of the book.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
So tell me about soccer. Oh, no. Wait a minute. We got a minute. Let's go to Jim. Go ahead, Jim.
Caller
Yeah. How y' all doing?
Ryan Lemon
Good.
Caller
Hello.
Ryan Lemon
Yes, go ahead.
Caller
I love the zipper merge discussion because I live in a divided house. I live outside Nashville, and when I go to my daughters, there's a area bottleneck that is almost a Both lanes on both sides. Almost have a time where people zip merge. My wife zip merges. I do not. I think it's rude. I think it's arrogant that you think you need to be someplace faster than somebody else.
Ryan Lemon
Yes.
Caller
No offense. Presently excluded.
Ryan Lemon
I understand. No, I understand.
Caller
I've tested this patience deal. Right. That's. Okay. So how do. How would you reside. Settle the argument. Because I know when she's driving, I can kind of. And I'm. And I mean, I'm driving and she's sitting there, and I'm not zip merging. In fact, you're almost.
Ryan Lemon
Because here's the way.
Caller
I don't want somebody to zip merge.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. Here's the way I do it. All right. First of all, you are correct. It is rude. I freely grant you it's rude.
Caller
Secondly, your wife capitalistic, because you've got the faster car, and so therefore, you can get. You can take advantage, and it's more socialistic to stay in line. Go ahead.
Shannon The Dude
Look at this.
Ryan Lemon
Interesting. I never thought about the political analogy of is rude. It is also, by studies, more efficient. So I as I. When I do it, I'm on your way to the world.
Matt Jones
To the world.
Caller
Oh, right. Pole.
Ryan Lemon
I appreciate the call. I grant you, when I do it. Let me put it like this. When I zip merge, I know it's rude, and I do drew feel bad if that makes everyone feel better.
Shannon The Dude
So you have a conscience.
Ryan Lemon
I have a conscience. But if I'm in a hurry, too bad. I still do it.
Matt Jones
I gotta say something about this. You know, we zip merge on our road trips. I'm the guy riding shotgun. I'm the guy that gets the stink eye from the driver right next to his. Matt's cutting him off.
Ryan Lemon
He.
Matt Jones
I'm the one should they see and.
Ryan Lemon
Like, oh, sorry, I won't do it if I'm. If I don't have anywhere to be. But if I have somewhere to be, I feel bad.
Matt Jones
How long do you feel bad?
Ryan Lemon
Seconds. But there. But I do feel genuinely bad though. Second, Shannon.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah, well, I mean, at least you get where you're trying to go on time.
Ryan Lemon
But then we get where we need to be. It's like the U turns feel bad. Do them anyway. Tell me about Dr. Morgan.
Matt Jones
You know, did you know that May is national moving month? I didn't know that either until I got this new copy.
Ryan Lemon
I didn't know that.
Matt Jones
If you're thinking about a new home, there's no better time to get moving. And Stockton Mortgage can help you every step of the way. Maybe you're buying your first home. Well, Stockton makes the process easy to understand. No stress, no pressure. Just real help from people who care. Ryan Lemon
Lines have been full today, Shannon. I guess we learned something.
Billy Rutledge
That's right.
Ryan Lemon
Yep.
Billy Rutledge
Now that they know they can talk there.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, they know they can talk. I think we've set a bad precedent, but we will take a break and be right back.
Drew Franklin
This case, time is precious. And so are our pets. So time with our pets is extra precious. That's why we started Dutch. Dutch provides 24. 7 access to licensed vets with unlimited virtual visits and follow ups for up to five pets. You can message a vet at any time and schedule a video visit the same day. Ryan Lemon
This is a song from the 90s, wasn't it? Yeah.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah. Who was it called? Gekky T. Gaggy Top.
Ryan Lemon
Well, that's. I would never come up with that one. But I do remember this. I do remember this name. Other people are riding athletes that would have made a lot of money. Goose.
Matt Jones
Oh, yeah. Yes.
Ryan Lemon
Back in the day. I like this one. Jenny Hansen.
Matt Jones
Jenny Hansen was the premier college gymnast for the whole 90s era. How about Tyler Eulis?
Ryan Lemon
That one's on here too. Great. Great one.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Sort of killed it.
Matt Jones
Yep.
Ryan Lemon
He, he, he is a perfect example. Dron Lamb.
Matt Jones
Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Also would have done very, very well. U is Ulis is one of the better basketball ones.
Matt Jones
Yeah. Didn't make much money playing professional.
Ryan Lemon
He was the most popular player on that team. And then didn't. Didn't make it so well, I mean, didn't. I mean he, he made it for a year or two but like wasn't able to do what. What, what he, what he would have.
Matt Jones
You know, when you compare his sophomore season with the other top point guards in the history of uk, his numbers are better than all of them.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. Shane, I'm done with the Reds.
Billy Rutledge
I don't blame you.
Matt Jones
Made it till our second week of March.
Billy Rutledge
May come back to be a Braves fan with us.
Ryan Lemon
No, no. I mean, I'm still going to keep the tickets for him, but you know, we have three players who should be really good. We have three players coming this year that I was like, all right, our top three is going to be Ellie, Matt Mcclain, and Spencer Steer. Spencer Steer is the worst player that's ever played basketball. Like literally there's. He's the worst player that he cannot hit. He gets up in big situations and basically hits it off his foot or falls down. And so he's. He's terrible. Matt Mcclain has been good, but he's not good this year. So I'm going to count him one fourth of a player. Okay. Spencer Sears, zero of a player. Matt Mcclain is one fourth of a player. And then Ellie has been good, but not quite as good as I'd hoped. This is like not Summer of Ellie. It's more like Summer of ellie sitting like 250. So I'm gonna say he's been half of a player this year. So out of the top three players, we have three fourths of a player. It's hard to win like that. It is, right? Hard to win when you have three fourths of a player. You know, we've had some guys step up. Austin Hay's been good. Jose Trevino's been good. So there's been some. But like they stink. And then, you know, the refs blaming it on the refs, the office, the humps, they. They're biased against us.
Matt Jones
They are.
Ryan Lemon
I don't know why they hate us so much, but we're 19 and 21. Or maybe we're 20 and two games under.500. Now the good thing is Central stinks. So we're still only three and a half back of the Cubs. But I'm not spending my summer getting upset. All right? They have seven. They got six home games this week. They play the White Sox and Cleveland.
Billy Rutledge
That's Pope's team. Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Lose to the Pope if we don't. If we. If we don't go four and two, then I'm done. Done. Done. I'm already done, but then I'm done.
Billy Rutledge
What does that mean, you're not going to go? That means you're not going to watch the game.
Shannon The Dude
You're going to take your book and go home.
Ryan Lemon
I'm going to take my book and read it the whole time. All right? Because I can't watch Spencer Steer anymore. And I have a little helmet for his new behead. Spencer Steer, that's up on my. It's on my mantle. And I'm going to take it down if he doesn't stop hitting 120 or whatever he said.
Billy Rutledge
Did you see Saturday? They scored 10 runs in the top of the first.
Ryan Lemon
Exactly. But that's the problem. We score all our runs in one game. We scored 24 in one game. They scored 10 and one.
Billy Rutledge
Any nearly blew it. They.
Ryan Lemon
And they still nearly lost that game.
Billy Rutledge
12 to 9 or 13.
Ryan Lemon
12 to 9. So they just drew. They just annoy me.
Shannon The Dude
I believe when in spring training, when you're building them up, we all said about mid May is when you'll step away. Here it is, the 12th, right on schedule. I mean, we all saw this coming.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. Well, I'm just going to go back to what I was before, which is I go with no expectations. I take a book and I enjoy the weather. That's probably what it's going to be this summer. But I was ready to be nervous and rocking back and forth and here we go. And they just. They stink. Hunter Green's hurt, of course. He's like unbelievably dominant. Gets hurt.
Matt Jones
So anyway, pitching has not been bad.
Ryan Lemon
It's been more good. Pretty good. Brady Singer is starting to fall apart, but they've been pretty good at pitching. But the hitting is just only three.
Billy Rutledge
And a half by Spencer.
Ryan Lemon
Spencer Steer is the worst hitter statistically in the major league.
Matt Jones
Is he really?
Ryan Lemon
Yes, the worst. You know, bad. You have to be to be the worst. You have to be the worst.
Matt Jones
Sit down pretty quick.
Shannon The Dude
The Braves aren't.500, Shannon. I still believe.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah. And they're six and a half back.
Ryan Lemon
I don't believe. Peyton. Go ahead. Peyton.
Caller
Hey, guys. How are you?
Ryan Lemon
Good. What's up?
Caller
So I called back in the sweet 16, and I was talking about my birds, and, you know, you guys were giving me a hard time about my birds. I didn't know if I could kind of explain that process a little bit.
Ryan Lemon
You got like 30 seconds, and I don't even remember your bird. So tell me quickly what you got.
Caller
Okay. Well, animals, they don't have the ability to lie. So if you're able to establish trust in that kind of connection with them, they will now lead you astray. And then another thing I wanted to talk about, you guys were talking about the relationships, and I remember seeing Michael Jordan's kid, and he was dating Scottie Pippen's wife. And do you think that's a weirder.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Caller
Relationship than Bill Belichick or what? What dinner conversation?
Ryan Lemon
Well, I mean, I appreciate the thought. Clearly, Pippen and Jordan didn't like each other, and so this is an extension of that. But it is weird. Yes. I mean, if Ryan's son were to start dating Abby, that would be really weird.
Shannon The Dude
And she knew him as a baby. That makes it weirder.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. So that would be very weird. If all of a sudden Abby and Drew were to get divorced and she's dating Josiah, that would be weird. So, yes, that's weird. I still understand your bird comment, but thank you.
TJ Smith
TJ Smith, personal injury attorney.
Ryan Lemon
Call tj. He'll make him pay.
Billy Rutledge
Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones.
Ryan Lemon
Welcome back. Tech Sports Radio. 859-280-2287. Text Machine, 772-7754. One person writes. Matt, it hurts to hear you say this. I listen to you more than anyone, and you are a regular part of my day. I've always thought that people who do the zipper merge are the worst people on the road and need their license revoked. Say it ain't so. You know, I'm. You know, I always say, Drew, that people are the worst versions of themselves. Online, I am the worst version of myself. In line, not online.
Matt Jones
In line.
Ryan Lemon
In line. I am not a good person. In line, I get frustrated. I don't cut line unless you count zipper merging cut. But like, in regular line, I would never cut. But I get very frustrated if I see somebody not following what I think are the etiquette of lines. I say things that I should not say. I can start to use generalisms that you shouldn't use. I get very upset, and I feel like it's my job to police the line. But then some reason when I'm zipper merging, all those things go out the window. And I don't know why, because you're.
Shannon The Dude
In your own little capsule, probably so.
Ryan Lemon
But like lines in an airport or.
Billy Rutledge
At a restaurant, you can never zip, emerge in that.
Ryan Lemon
But if somebody even contemplates. I don't even like when someone's in line and then the other person, oh, they were parking the car and then they come up and like, that stuff angers. So I don't know why I'm like that with the zipper merge. Because in regular line, I'll tell somebody, you need to back off.
Shannon The Dude
We've seen it. I've also been in the car with you when you've made some of your more aggressive zipper merges and you've looked at me and you've been like, I don't want to do this. Like, it's gonna hurt me more than.
Ryan Lemon
It'S gonna hurt them more than it hurts them. I don't feel good about it. But then sometimes you have to do it. One person writes. Matt, three questions for you. Are you ever gonna buy a house? Are you ever going to get married? Are you ever going to have kids? All right, question one. Yes, but I don't know when. Maybe this summer. If things were to work out the problem in Lexington. These houses go away so quick.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
You see one, 24 hours later, it's gone.
Matt Jones
Maybe you get pre qualified Stockton mortgage.
Ryan Lemon
And the kind of. The kind of house I want. There's not a lot of no, because I want a really nice house, but I don't need it to be huge because I don't have any. I don't have a lot of stuff and I don't have kids. Second question. Am I going to get married? Yeah, we'll see.
Shannon The Dude
Still keeping your eyes open?
Matt Jones
Take that as a no.
Ryan Lemon
I mean, it's not. It's not like impossible, but also, who knows? And then kids. Again, same answer. Although every year you get older, that becomes a little harder.
Shannon The Dude
And ideally you do step two before step three there.
Ryan Lemon
Oh, I definitely would rather do step two than step three. And I, you know, step one. I definitely don't want three before one. That would be a problem.
Matt Jones
Shannon, I had this exact conversation about your question number two and question number three with him.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
What was your answer, Shannon?
Billy Rutledge
Never say never, but I'm not in any hurry.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, but you and I are getting to a point, like when we say you're not in any hurry, people kind of roll their eyes like, dude, like, how much longer are you.
Billy Rutledge
This is not your life if you don't.
Ryan Lemon
True. I Agree with that. I totally agree with you on that.
Billy Rutledge
Putting, like, society's standards on me.
Ryan Lemon
Totally agree with you.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Shannon The Dude
You're just showing off that you can be patient.
Ryan Lemon
You're not. You're impatient. Traffic merge into a wedding. Have you, Shane, have you ever been close to, like, being married? Have you ever, like, thought.
Billy Rutledge
No.
Ryan Lemon
No. You haven't? No. Okay, so you've never thought, like, I might marry this person.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah. But then they broke up with me, like, the next week.
Ryan Lemon
It's like they can feel it. Yeah. And then they go, okay, yeah, about you. Yeah, maybe once. But, you know, but then if you do it and it doesn't work, like, I much would not prefer to never do it, then have it happen and it not work.
Matt Jones
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
Like, divorce is awful. Yeah, it's awful. Right. Like, it's tough on every Shannon. It's very expensive. That's what Shannon's most concerned about. You know what it's going to cost me money.
Billy Rutledge
That's right.
Ryan Lemon
If a divorce is tough for everybody involved. And so, you know, I don't know. I think it's also. It's hard in this. It's hard in what we do to be married. I mean, you two are. But, like, we travel so much.
Shannon The Dude
One of us is. I mean, Ryan kind of is.
Ryan Lemon
Well, Ryan just goes from one marriage to another. I mean, it's going to be.
Matt Jones
I mean, there was a point we.
Ryan Lemon
All know you get when you have your next wedding, which is probably going to happen at some. Are you going to have, like a wedding or is it going to be like, you go to, you know, Vegas?
Shannon The Dude
No, he's going to the chapel.
Ryan Lemon
What are you going to do? Because you're going to get married again. Don't even act like you're not. Are you going to have a wedding? Are you going to have, like, a lope. What are you going to do?
Matt Jones
Probably, if. If it ever happened, would be a.
Ryan Lemon
Listen to him if. We know it's going to happen.
Billy Rutledge
Gatlinburg.
Matt Jones
You can't be a wedding chapel in Gatlinburg.
Ryan Lemon
You can't be alone. We know that. So tell. So what's it going to be? Because I haven't been to a Ryan wedding yet. I feel like there's still two to three coming. So I do. Is there going to.
Matt Jones
I think it would definitely be a Las Vegas, Gatlinburg, Aruba type thing.
Ryan Lemon
Those are very different, extreme, different countries. I mean, Gatlinburg.
Matt Jones
Oh, at the wedding chapel.
Shannon The Dude
May I put in a request before you get married, can I be in charge of the bachelor party. I would love a Ryan Lemon bachelor party.
Matt Jones
Yeah, you know, I've never really had a bachelor party.
Ryan Lemon
I just have one anyway. Yeah, we should just have one. So. Okay, between those three, Gatlinburg, Vegas, Aruba. Those are the top three choices. All right. So those are the top three choices. Rank them in where you would like to do it and or would pay for.
Matt Jones
Aruba would be number one. I don't know why I said Aruba, Not Jamaica, but some Caribbean island.
Ryan Lemon
Have you ever even been to Aruba? No.
Matt Jones
No.
Shannon The Dude
Might as well get married there.
Matt Jones
Went to Curacao right beside it, but not been to Aruba.
Shannon The Dude
Okay.
Ryan Lemon
Okay. And then what?
Matt Jones
Vegas.
Ryan Lemon
Vegas.
Matt Jones
Yeah. And then Gatlinburg.
Ryan Lemon
So you're gonna end up in gallon.
Matt Jones
Yeah. And then that's the closest one.
Billy Rutledge
I mean it's the closest one.
Matt Jones
Close. Fourth.
Shannon The Dude
Oh, close.
Ryan Lemon
What about Harbor Hall?
Matt Jones
Harper Hollow.
Ryan Lemon
Up for best wedding venue in Lexington.
Matt Jones
Nice.
Ryan Lemon
I placed a three finalists.
Matt Jones
Nice.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Matt Jones
They serve very strong drinks there at Harper.
Ryan Lemon
They end up on your shirt over under two years. Ryan's married.
Billy Rutledge
I'm going to go. I'm going to go slightly over. I'll say three.
Ryan Lemon
I'm going under. I will bet you. I will bet you he is engaged.
Billy Rutledge
Well, engaged well.
Ryan Lemon
But he's also not going to wait long because they're not going to have like some crazy wedding. So I'm going to have an empty.
Shannon The Dude
Nest that plays into it.
Ryan Lemon
I say he's engaged by next, but when we start the 2026 football season, he will be engaged. Am I right? Do you agree with that?
Shannon The Dude
I was going to say Christmas of this year. I definitely agree with you.
Matt Jones
Because my life's about to take a big change. I will have no chance.
Ryan Lemon
And you're going to. And you can't be alone.
Matt Jones
I got my three dogs.
Ryan Lemon
Like, my problem is I prefer being alone too much. You can't be alone.
Matt Jones
I don't like being alone.
Ryan Lemon
I know. So that's why you're going to be engaged. Likely by basketball season.
Shannon The Dude
And then we're going to Gatlinburg.
Ryan Lemon
And then it's Gatlinburg. Go karts in Pigeon Forge.
Billy Rutledge
Let's go.
Ryan Lemon
Mark. What's up, Mark?
Caller
We're going to talk about the Archer tournament. That was last weekend at Louisville. The Mass Archer tournament. There was 15000 shooters there.
Ryan Lemon
The archery tournament.
Caller
Archery tournament from there.
Ryan Lemon
You're talking about just a couple days ago or derby weekend last weekend.
Caller
Two days ago. Three days ago.
Ryan Lemon
Two days ago. So you had 15. There were 15, 000 archers there. I can't hear you, sir. Are you there?
Caller
Yes, I'm sorry. I'm right beside a tower, but it ain't working too good.
Ryan Lemon
Okay. Yeah, I got you. So there were 15,000 archers. Were you in it?
Caller
No, I'm a little retired from that now.
Ryan Lemon
Okay, well, so what did you want to tell us about it?
Caller
I was gonna say I was hoping you all maybe would go to it one time, like next year. They shoot in May for nationals. They shoot in March for Kentucky State. I love program was started in Kentucky in 2004.
Ryan Lemon
I'd love to do it. Somebody remind me as we get closer next year. March is tough because the basketball. But in May.
Matt Jones
Sure.
Ryan Lemon
I'd love to try to go out there. I think that would be fun.
Billy Rutledge
He's gone.
Ryan Lemon
All right. Appreciate the call.
Shannon The Dude
I'd go.
Ryan Lemon
I'd go.
Matt Jones
Yeah. I think Kentucky high schools are ranked very well nationally in that now in archery. Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
So what schools here are good at archery?
Matt Jones
I think Pulaski County.
Ryan Lemon
Why Pulaski?
Matt Jones
I don't know, but I think they're like.
Ryan Lemon
So Pulaski county is really good at archery.
Matt Jones
They're like the UK of high school archery in Kentucky.
Ryan Lemon
Uk. Basketball.
Matt Jones
Yeah, basketball.
Shannon The Dude
Madisonville, North Hopkins Maroons. They're good.
Matt Jones
Are they really?
Shannon The Dude
Yeah.
Ryan Lemon
That's odd. So just in Pulaski county, like, everybody just grows up and they just become archers.
Matt Jones
I think it's become a big deal where. Yeah. And the Kentucky teams are really good, huh?
Ryan Lemon
Well, archery. There you go. Who knew? DraftKings. Tonight the Celtics play the Knicks. The Celtics, it looks like, are six and a half point favorites on the road. Nicks. They're going to win the series. I think they have to win the night at home in the Garden. Going to be an amazing atmosphere. I bet. Lot on the line. You go to DraftKings. You can bet it. Basketball season. Use a promo code. Ksr. They have all kinds of prop bets for this game tonight. Go to DraftKings. Use my promo code. Who you got? Celtics. Six and a half point favorite.
Shannon The Dude
I am going with the Knicks. Celtics win the series, but I think the Knicks get one more game.
Matt Jones
Yeah, do or die for the Knicks tonight. They got to get this one if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Billy Rutledge
Celtics win tonight.
Ryan Lemon
I think the Celtics do win the game, but there's a part of me that thinks the Knicks can cover that. I think it's going to come down right to the end.
Billy Rutledge
They've been up 20 in every game.
Ryan Lemon
That is a crazy stat. They've been up 20 in every single game. Is Carl playing? That's the other thing I need to know. Carl playing?
Matt Jones
Don't know. Both teams are going to end up losing to the Pacers though, anyway, so.
Shannon The Dude
I mean, what a choke job by the Cavs. What a fraud.
Matt Jones
Team number one seed.
Ryan Lemon
I'm going to go, I'm going to say Nick's cover, but you go to DraftKings. Use our promo code. Check it out. It's@draftkings.com or the draft Kings app. We'll take a break, come back.

Welcome back Techie Sports Radio A59280 2287 I've enjoyed the show today. I don't know if it's letting people talk.
Matt Jones
You've done a good job. I've always gonna wait to bragging you to right at the very end first.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, that's true. Thursday that's gonna be. That's enough. But we're gonna be at the bar tomorrow. I won't have as much control. We'll be at the bar tomorrow and Wednesday and Friday. Not sure yet about Thursday. And my trivia is tomorrow night next to last one. You coming?
Matt Jones
My team will be there. I will not. I have to work tomorrow night. Work? I am the on field announcer for the Legends game Tuesday and Thursday.
Ryan Lemon
Wow, is that like a full time gig?
Matt Jones
No, they're bringing in people throughout the summer. Like Mary Jo's gonna do some I think Cutler's gonna do some.
Ryan Lemon
Tell them, thanks for asking.
Matt Jones
I can get you a gig if you want.
Ryan Lemon
I'm busy that day. Go enjoy yourself. But I'm hosting trivia Tuesday night.
Matt Jones
My team will be there.
Ryan Lemon

K O R T.com One person writes, Matt, my wife will be very interested in what you said. She asked me about once a month who you are dating or if you're going to get married. And I never know what to say. Yeah, I don't know why people would. Why people care, but I get asked that a lot. I think it's because I talk about everything, but I don't talk about that. But it's. I don't talk about it because I don't think it's fair to the women.
Matt Jones
Right.
Ryan Lemon
Because, you know, I had one relationship that kind of was public, and it was hard on that person because, like, they. They were not a public person. And then all of a sudden, they are. And I. So that's why. Also, there was the one time, Shannon, you'll remember this, that I went out with the woman when we first started.
Billy Rutledge
Yep.
Ryan Lemon
And I. We went on our first date, and I liked her. She was fun.
Billy Rutledge
You played ping pong.
Ryan Lemon
She was attractive. That's exactly right. And after dinner, we decided to go play ping pong. And she was good, but I was a little better. And so I debated among myself, do I beat her or not at ping pong? I can, but should I?
Matt Jones
Right?
Ryan Lemon
Because she could. You could tell. She was kind of competitive about it. Chin. So the next day on the air, we talked about it. We had a debate. I had this. I was like, I had this date tonight, last night. Should I have beaten her in ping pong or not? Right. And we took calls and all that. Next time I talked to her, she was like, so I heard you talked about the ping pong, and I didn't even think. Shannon, she listened to the show, right? And I said, yeah, you know, joke, tried. She was like, I can't. I can't do this. She was like, I don't want to think that our dates are fodder for the show. And I'm going to sit there and think about how you're going to. And I got it. But it was also like, all right, well, just can't do that, you know, so that. Actually, I don't even remember. I don't even remember her name, to be honest with you. But, like, she did completely change the way Shannon. I used to talk about that stuff.
Billy Rutledge
I know.
Ryan Lemon
And then I completely stopped after that.
Billy Rutledge
You almost need to find somebody that has no idea what you do or cares that you're on the radio.
Ryan Lemon
Almost everyone. Not everyone, but almost everyone I've dated in the last seven years didn't know who I was with a couple of. Except. But didn't know who I was, so. And I think you're right. I think. But. But that's. It makes. It makes it easier.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah.
Shannon The Dude
If you had never talked about ping pong, who knows what could have happened with that woman. You might be married now.
Ryan Lemon
Remember, Shannon, when they used to send us on. It's just lunch dates. I.
Billy Rutledge
Look, man, between me and you, that never worked. Every time I would show up, the person with no show, I'm going, what are they. What are you telling them about me that they know.
Ryan Lemon
Showed me all the time.
Billy Rutledge
It's like they show you a picture, they don't even know what you look.
Ryan Lemon
Because that was during that period where, like, dating apps weren't really a thing.
Billy Rutledge
Right, right.
Ryan Lemon
And we were a little old to be, like, going out to clubs or, you know, so like, we were in that middle ground.
Billy Rutledge
You just get a description of who the other person was.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. You couldn't see them, which I didn't like that. And you couldn't like description.
Matt Jones
Did you do any of.
Ryan Lemon
I did. I think one. And she was nice, but it just wasn't. Shannon did, though. You tried to do a few.
Billy Rutledge
Five of them and four of them didn't show up. Are you telling them I'm a serial killer? Like, what are you doing?
Matt Jones
You still get a free lunch, though, Shannon.
Ryan Lemon
Yes. No, it was just lunch, but for him it was just nothing because they didn't come.
Matt Jones
I would have got the lunch.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, well, no, I mean, you had to pay for. You had to pay for the lunch. It's not like the company paid it for the lunch. So you thought. Thought they just set you up and then also paid for your meals.
Matt Jones
Absolutely. I'm going to do that. Just eat.
Shannon The Dude
I like Ryan would do it just for the free food.
Ryan Lemon
Jay. Ryan's like, I'll go on dates for all the food. Canes play Tonight, Game four. If we win, I think we're going to win the series.
Matt Jones
Game four.
Ryan Lemon
But if we lose and it'll still be two, two.
Matt Jones
Was it two one Canes?
Ryan Lemon
Two one Canes right now? Yeah. We won four, nothing Saturday and they play tonight, I. If they win tonight, I may go to game six. So if they win tonight, if they're up three, two and have a chance to clinch in Carolina, you're going. I may go next Saturday to Carolina? Yes.
Matt Jones
I said that's the only NHL game I've ever been to and loved it. The atmosphere, the fans were great there.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, Dusty, go ahead. Dusty.
Caller
Yeah, I was just going to say about the relationship where I tried it. First was six years younger. Next one was 12 years older or 10 years older.
Ryan Lemon
Did you say the first one? Did you say the first one was 60 years younger?
Caller
No. Six.
Ryan Lemon
Six. Okay, gotcha.
Caller
Second was 10 years older, and the third one is 12 years younger.
Ryan Lemon
How old are you, sir? How old are you, Dusty?
Caller
60. 65. 65.
Ryan Lemon
So you kind of whether they're older, younger. Dusty. You'll still be Dusty.
Billy Rutledge
He loves them all.
Caller
The last one's 12 years younger.
Ryan Lemon
Okay. And are you still dating? Are you still dating her?
Caller
No, no, we're married. Been married over 20 years.
Ryan Lemon
Okay, well, good.
Caller
Been married since 1982 and only been single about three months.
Ryan Lemon
So. You're right.
Caller
I don't like to wash dishes.
Matt Jones
Oh, my.
Ryan Lemon
All right. I appreciate the call.
Matt Jones
Whiskey thief. Not call the day.
Billy Rutledge
He just wanted a dishwasher.
Ryan Lemon
Honestly, that's Ryan in 10 years calling the radio show. Like the radio show that Mario hosts in 10 years would be Mario and Billy. In the mornings, Ryan's going to call and be like, I ain't never been single. Date them all left. Right. How many people you invite to your wedding?
Matt Jones
You're saying if I have another wedding.
Ryan Lemon
There's no if. It's going to happen.
Shannon The Dude
We've already planned it.
Ryan Lemon
I mean, the question is only when and where you're going to have another wedding. How many people are you going to invite to it?
Matt Jones
Probably nobody.
Ryan Lemon
Nobody?
Matt Jones
No.
Billy Rutledge
Yeah, those, like, Gatlinburg things that you don't invite.
Ryan Lemon
So you're not even going to have, like, your. Your mom, your kids, Alice, blue gown on stage. You're not. Are you serious? You would just go get married and no one would be there.
Matt Jones
We got to slow down. There is no wedding in the future anytime soon.
Shannon The Dude
This tells me he's just going to do it, not tell us.
Ryan Lemon
So you're thinking about literally going to Gatlinburg, hiring an Elvis impersonator and doing it.
Matt Jones
She is so squirming. Because she's listening right now. She's sending me all these text messages. She's dying right now.
Ryan Lemon
So no people. You wouldn't even invite us?
Matt Jones
I mean, it would be, you know, my second her. My third her second.
Ryan Lemon
I know, but I haven't been to Orion.
Shannon The Dude
I think he's uncomfortable. I think he got a text to shut up about it.
Ryan Lemon
I think he did, too. Shannon. Text message that.
Matt Jones
I got more than one text message.
Ryan Lemon
Oh, here we go. See, this is another reason you don't talk about it on the air.
Shannon The Dude
It's the ping pong thing all over again.
Ryan Lemon
No. Okay, so we're already. No destination wedding. Nope, nope, nope.
Shannon The Dude
They didn't say no wedding.
Ryan Lemon
They said no destination wedding.
Matt Jones
All right, we'll do it here in the I Heart building.
Ryan Lemon
Should be great. Thank you all very much. We'll be at the bar tomorrow. Speak Kentucky sports radio at Ritual.
