Before I get something else, I need something from you all. Okay. Because someone out there, maybe multiple someones can do what I'm about to ask. Okay. Of course we are doing our renovation of KS Bar.

Right.

We are like sort of redoing the menu. Some things will be the same but we're putting new stuff on it. We've been, we went, we've been working, as they would say in the lab for that stuff. It's been, it's been good. We're, we're like redoing the floors inside. We're adding some new stuff. It's been good. One of the things we're doing is if you think about the porch of the bar, we've ripped out all the stuff in front of it. So now you can see straight in from the road. Right. Because it used to be blocked by TV and stuff, you really couldn't see into the restaurant. And considering we're kind of tucked away from Harrodsburg Road, it made it to where if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't know it was there. Nope. So we're putting a sign in front of it and we've, we've taken all that out. So. So there's a few things we're doing, but one of the things, all we're leaving in the front are these pillars.

[Ryan Lemon]

Right.

[Drew Franklin]

So they're like those pillars. And here's what we need. We want to paint on the front of the pillars, UK players from the past. All right, so we want to paint like Anthony Davis, John Wall. There's, I think there's three or four of them. We'll figure out what we want to paint, but we need somebody to do it. Okay. We need somebody who is a good painter, but not just like a painter on a canvas. Like you could paint on a pillar. Does that make sense? Am I describing that correctly? You could paint on a pillar a portrait of someone.

[Shannon The Dude]

And if it's bad, we're going to tell you it's bad.

Well, I need it to be good. Okay. We need it to be good because this is going to be the front of the restaurant.

And there's going to be a couple other jobs like that where I'm probably going to be asking, hey, who in the audience can do this with us? Because we want, you know, we have a budget on this. We need to keep it under it. But we also, I mean, you know, we'll, we'll pay you for your work, but we just want to see if we want to try to make it to where it's a cool in front. So if you know somebody who could do that, let me know. A couple other things coming on the one. You know, one of the things we did was like, we re evaluated. Okay, what about some of the food? What. What works and what doesn't? We basically were thought food's consistency needed to Be a little better. When it was really good, it was really good. But then sometimes it wouldn't. And so we talked about, all right, what are the things that we can make consistent? What are the things that maybe we haven't made consistent? Our wings are really good, but I've kind of thought our sauces weren't consistently good, so we're going to redo them. But in order to do that, we need to test them. So we're going to, at the end of July, have a thing where our listeners will come and it'd be taste tests of the new wing sauce.

Right.

[Drew Franklin]

So we'll. It'll be like a ticket event. We'll probably only have like 50 people come and we'll put them on sale and they'll probably go quick. But you all can help us figure out. We're almost making it to where Drew the listeners help tell us what's good. We, we, we want to, like, normally people do these, like, you know, soft openings. And it's really only a few people deciding. I thought, why not open it up to people so that they can help us figure out what we should have. So you'll get like a card and you can grade the sauces, basically.

So people that are probably eating there, why not ask them? As much as we trust Ron Lemons taste buds, we're going to, we're going to step out and outsource some of.

[Drew Franklin]

The help here because we had some. We had some sauces that weren't very good. So like our KS bar sauce I thought was pretty good, but I don't think we ever had a really good buffalo sauce. I don't think we ever really had a really good hot. Hot sauce. So we're like starting over from scratch.

[Shannon The Dude]

On those and adding some rubs. Some dry rubs, because I like dry rubs.

[Drew Franklin]

So we've never had dry rubs. We're getting dry rubs. Mario was in charge of the lemon. Was it lemon, pepper, garlic?

[Shannon The Dude]

Yeah. The Lou Wills.

The Lou. Yes. He's picking those because he likes those. And so he's been. So anyway, point being, be looking for that stuff. But the first thing I need is if you could paint, let's say John Wall Anthony Davis. And then we got figure out who are the other two we should have on there because we get. We got four spots. Davis. There could be two. You want to do a photo?

I know this is a week old, but over the whole Somerset Duke's a Hazard thing, if. Why hasn't Hazard, you know, connected the dots? Well, they used to. I, I grew up in Hazard. My dad was a. I hate to say this after I said I was a stripper, but my dad was a Southern Baptist pastor.

For many years at Hazard. I grew up there and, and every year at the Black Gold Festival, they would have all the whole cast from Daisy Duke to the Boss Hog, and they would all ride through the parade at the.

And there was a person named Cooter. Right. Enos yeah. Okay. Yeah, so that's good. By the way, I saw the city of Somerset. So the rumor I heard is they paid $30,000 for the thing. Okay, okay. That's what I heard. But they sold the car. They got the car at the end, sold it for $18,000 after it wrecked.

Yeah. So they gave it.

[Shannon The Dude]

Paid 18,000.

[Drew Franklin]

Someone paid $18,000 for after it wrecked. So that means they got over half their money back. So I think that is a great deal that the city of Somerset got lot of attention.

I was in Colorado. I had on a hat that said Kentucky. And the bartender went, did I just see a. The Dukes of Hazard car flying through the air in Kentucky? It's like all you want to talk about. I'm far out of the state. They want to know why we're doing it. Where Somerset, what's going on. So it got lots of attention, More than they probably even expected.

Yeah. I mean, amazing amount of attention. Yeah, it was worth. But they got eight. Would you have paid 18,000 for the wreck of the car?

No, I wouldn't have.

I thought they flipped them all at once. I had to memorize it real quick. And then identify them. So I'm waiting for the flip.

So the clock starts, and Drew's just standing there, staring, staring for like, six or seven very uncomfortable seconds.

I'm like, is the flipper not ready?

Let's go. Finally I go, drew, say something. And then he's like, number four. And then he gets no matches. Crowd is booing. The woman is like, what? And then Crixus grabs the woman's hand, takes the microphone, and tries to start cutting a promo. He's like, I'm Crixus. And then they cut it off. It was a disaster. It was an absolute disaster. I was like, crixus, you can't be grabbing the microphone from people. But he had never been to a baseball game. He didn't even know what he was, where he was. He didn't know. You can't just grab the microphone. Drew standing there like he's never even seen a card.

I'd still be standing there if someone hadn't been like, say a number. But see my thing. If I'd gone up there and gotten three out of four matches, we all would have forgot. An hour later, life would have gone on. This was brought up to me a week ago. We're talking about it now. I made a moment. I made an event.

I put on a show day. And there were hundreds of KSR fans. And they booed you. We went back to our seats. Ryan. And the KSR section was booing Drew.

My family booed me.

Hey, man. Y' all were discussing Kentucky State kind of under the radar at media days and stuff. And that made me reflect back to when Stoop asked all the fans to pony up. Do you think if he had an unlimited budget, he would have been able to turn it around?

[Drew Franklin]

I mean, unlimited budget and he could get anybody. Yeah. But if you're talking about, could he have. Let's just say he had Alabama and A and M's budget. Yeah. I mean, could they be better than they've been? Sure. But we don't. And so, you know, there's a part of me, and I appreciate the call where. Where you have to say, okay, you take the Kentucky job. This is. This is it. Right. Like, this is what it is. You know, you go. You go manage the Florida Marlins. You can't complain that they don't sign the players. It's the Florida Marlins. You knew that when you came. But if they had Alabama and A and M's budget, would they be better? Yeah. Would they be as good as Alabama. Probably not, because Alabama has a tradition and all that stuff, you know? So, yeah, if we had more money, it'd be better. If I had wheels, I'd be a wagon. Right. Like, we are what we are.

It would definitely be better. We'd get better players, but we're still way behind. And like you said, the tradition that.

Alabama, you go take the Murray State job. You can't say, well, if we had the resources of. You're at Murray State. You knew that when you took the job. Right? David, go ahead. David.
