It's a Kentucky office highway safety KSR safe summer driving tour. CNS Pools is in Nicholsville and they'll come in your area and build a pool for you. Uh, the text machine is full of great comments, Drew. One person writes, this loss is up there with 2015 Wisconsin for me.
Shannon
Wow.
Drew
That is wow. It. You know, the energy did deflate a little when you weren't able to to do it. One person writes, matt, you set Ryan up to fail by giving cake donuts. I don't think that was nice of you. This was not.
Billy
That was the original question.
Drew
That was the question. This was not set up as a contest Ryan has had. I was just like, how many donuts could you eat? Ryan knew what the donuts were and he said, I could eat 10. And I said, I bet you can't. And then that's where we got this. This wasn't like an eerie way to try to make I want Ryan. Why do I care if he gets the money? I want him to get the money. You're gonna. I'm gonna give you my money anyway.
Ryan Lemon
No, don't do that.
Drew
Well, at least buy you a new hat.
Ryan Lemon
That's my racing ranch.
Drew
You have it on reverse. You have it on inside out.
Ryan Lemon
That's all right.
Drew
Okay.
Shannon
He's a little flustered right now. My man's got a Sugar high.
Ryan Lemon
I'd had two more minutes. Maybe in just one more minute, I think I would have got it.
Shannon
Well, you smashed it.
Drew
You think you went too slow at the beginning?
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, I mean, I couldn't go any faster. They were so thick. If I'd known to dip them in the water from the very beginning, maybe had another minute, I could have got it. You should have done that.
Drew
859-280-2287. If you have words of encouragement for Ryan, please. Do you think you're going to be able to get through this hour?
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, I just took two Advil. My medic here has been talking to me. He's telling me to hydrate. Yes, I got in the pool.
Drew
I'm surprised it was only a pound.
Ryan Lemon
Me, too.
Drew
I thought it was going to be like two or two and a half pounds.
Ryan Lemon
Well, it feels like it's growing in my stomach right now.
Shannon
Wait till later.
Drew
You think it's growing?
Ryan Lemon
Oh, it's. It's like Stockton Mortgage growing.
Shannon
Donut baby.
Drew
All right, so Commonwealth. Commonwealth Causes is still going to give the $5,000 to the charity of your choice.
Ryan Lemon
People. Those are.
Drew
They're great people, so that's very nice of them. And you're going to. Well, you can figure out what it is. You can talk with Stephen and make that happen. As far as the money on the. On the GoFundMe, I'm gonna have to return it. I understand that. Like, there's people who would keep it, but some people might not, and I don't. I can't just make that decision for everybody. I can't. I'd love to, but. But, you know, when people donate, they. They. That's With. With the thing. So I'm gonna have to give it back. But, Ryan Lemon, a lot of messages that people would have just kept it for the entertainment in and of itself.
Ryan Lemon
I've not checked my phone yet. I'm a little afraid to.
Drew
Why don't you check your phone, see if your girlfriend is mad at you for not getting it done. After not wanting. She might now be mad that you lost, I don't know, vacation money.
Shannon
Yeah, like that $5,000. The success rate of KSR challenges is not great for me. I'm the only one.
Drew
You made the claim that walking was a lot harder than donuts. It looks like that might have been true.
Shannon
I think it was. Should you go walk 50 miles? Maybe walk off those donuts now?
Ryan Lemon
I couldn't walk five miles. 50 miles.
Drew
They were saying that they think you'll start feeling this this afternoon.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, I feel. Starting to feel it right now. I feel worse now than I did during the challenge.
Drew
Well, you had adrenaline going. Yeah. Yeah.
Billy
Sugar crash.
Ryan Lemon
I was trying to tune you guys out. Stay. Stay mentally sharp and focused. I blame Billy. He kept sticking that microphone in my face.
Drew
Well, he was. He was doing his job. That's sideline reporting is part of. Is part of all sports nowadays.
Billy
Well, he interviews jockeys at the derby. I mean, that's a professional.
Drew
That was talking. That's true. And equally good shape here as what is what he does.
Shannon
He has a racehorse.
Drew
So we'll. We'll keep checking in with you through and things. See how you're feeling. 859-280-2287. If you want. You got thoughts for my man Ryan? Give us a shout. John, you're gonna have to look up to make it happen. Let's go to this weekend. I told you last week, I said the Reds have to go 5 and 2 or the summer of Ellie is over. I said 4 and 3. It'll still be there, but it'll be struggling. They lost the first two, then they won the last two. So if they sweep the Rockies, the 5 and 2 still happens. Even 2 and 1 will hang on, but I'm gonna go ahead and go on record, Drew. They go one and two to the Rockies at home. The summer of Ellie will have ended and I won't bring it up again. I probably will, but I will. It will only be out of frustration.
Billy
Well, having just seen the Rockies in person last week, you might want to shut down the whole season if you can't win two more against the Rockies. They can't seem to beat anyone. So it's the perfect team to be in front of you when you need to get these wins. I think the Reds will get it done.
Drew
Last night, the game was at 5 o', clock, which I didn't realize, so I got rid of my tickets and there was a concert by something called Old Dominion there.
Shannon
Yeah.
Drew
I don't know if you saw the crowd, like they got so many people there for Old Dominion. Had you. Did you even know who that was?
Shannon
I'd heard of them, but if you said, right now, name me an Old Dominion song, I couldn't do it.
Drew
Is it country?
Shannon
Yeah. So I know that they exist, but I'm not really that familiar with them.
Drew
Well, it was kind. It has to be a little depressing for the Reds because if you look at when the game starts, if you looked at the crowd, it was absolutely empty. Everybody was Seventh inning when it was six nothing. Reds. All of a sudden the place was packed and Jeff Brantley on the radio broadcast kept going. Late arriving, crowd starting to fill in, ready for the end of the game. He tried to act like the concert was not happening, which I thought was kind of fun.
Shannon
To be fair. 5 o' clock is a really odd time to start a baseball game.
Drew
Yeah, they did it for the, for the concert.
Billy
If you're the Reds, you know where you stand in popularity. You're at least beneath Old Dominion if they're just showing up to watch them and not you.
Drew
Yes, John, what's up first? We're still empty. John, are you not? I know. There's no way people are not calling unless we're having issues with the phone line. All right, here, should we call? There's no way that there are not people calling to talk to Ryan right now. I don't believe it. I think I, I love you, John, but I think you're not looking at the phone. I would not do that. So I don't appreciate you saying that. 859-280-2287. How we doing?
Ryan Lemon
I feel it.
Drew
What do you mean?
Ryan Lemon
It's growing.
Drew
It's growing.
Ryan Lemon
All that yeast and dough and stuff in my stomach. I bet I weigh 220 now.
Drew
All right, well why don't you come see? Yeah, yeah, why don't you come see? I, I, I don't really understand the science though of how you would weigh.
Shannon
Sugar, I guess has to convert to fat again.
Drew
I don't know.
Shannon
I don't know what I'm talking about, but I guess I think there's something.
Drew
You think it can happen that quick? All right, it was 2, 218.8. So you've put on 1.2 pounds in since the break? Since the break.
Shannon
Cuz he was 216 to start. Right then he was 217. Now he's 218.
Drew
Wasn't it 216?
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, and it was 217.
Drew
How did you put on 1.2 pounds since the last segment?
Ryan Lemon
Dude, I feel it.
Shannon
Seven donut donuts. I'll do it to you.
Drew
You think he's going to be in the low 220s.
Ryan Lemon
Every commercial break?
Drew
Will, that is amazing to me that you put on 1.2 pounds.
Shannon
He's growing like a blimp.
Ryan Lemon
I feel it. I can definitely feel it in a segment. I need yoga girl here to help me out.
Drew
Okay, stop.
Shannon
That's the sugar talking.
Drew
Yeah, stop. That was, that was the worst. 859-592-Move the fan, it blows on the thing. 859-280-2287 I'll tell you what, we need to take a break right here so we can get all this reset. Stockton Mortgage. Tell me about Stockton Mortgage.

Ryan Lemon
My mom sent me a text, said, are you okay? I mean, really, Are you okay?
Drew
You're okay?
Ryan Lemon
I'm okay. My stomach just feels bloated right now.
Drew
You're gonna be. You're gonna be great. I want to go with one story before I go to the phones. Real quick, Shannon. Did you read the story about the. The. The big, spicy marriage breakup in Texas?
Shannon
No.
Drew
Okay, so let me give you the characters here. There's the lieutenant governor. He is running for Senate. Okay. He has been married to a woman who's been a state senator. They've been married for 38 years. Okay. That's a long marriage, wouldn't you say?
Ryan Lemon
Oh, yes.
Drew
38 years. She yesterday announced that she was going to get divorced, and she did it on Twitter because she, too, is a public official. But may I read you her divorce announcement and see, Shannon, if there's anything in this announcement that suggests maybe why the divorce happened? Okay, let's see if you can. Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical grounds. Interesting sentence. Yeah. On biblical grounds. I believe marriage is a sacred covenant, and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation. But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or kin to remain in the marriage. Oh, what do you think is the key word in there, Drew?
Billy
Read that last sentence again.
Drew
In light of recent discoveries.
Billy
Yeah, that's it. He messed up, got forgiven, and did it again.
Drew
Is that how you read it?
Billy
Yep. Recent discovery.
Drew
Well, this is all anyone in Texas is talking about, because, I mean, this would be like a state senator in, you know, Texas or in Kentucky being married to, like, the lieutenant governor. Well, it is, because that's exactly what it is in Texas. And then they. And then you get. In light of recent discoveries, to me. Recent discoveries.
Shannon
Discoveries is the word if you're going to narrow it down to that discoveries.
Drew
So that means are there any discoveries that would not be cheating? Cheating?
Ryan Lemon
Especially when she used biblical reasons at the beginning.
Drew
Yeah, that's true. You combine biblical grounds.
Ryan Lemon
Yes.
Drew
With recent discoveries.
Shannon
Yep.
Drew
And these people, by the way, are in their 60s. Both of recent discovery.
Shannon
It's a very creative way to say he was cheating on me.
Drew
So do you think that's the kind of thing that you feel like you have to say via Twitter?
Shannon
Probably. So, I mean.
Drew
Well, I mean, you could just say, we've agreed to separate. Do you have to say recent Discoveries on biblical grounds.
Shannon
People are going to be asking in the comments section. You might as well just go ahead and put it all out there.
Drew
So you think you should just go.
Shannon
Ahead and say, remove all speculation.
Drew
Just go ahead and say biblical grounds, recent discovery.
Shannon
It's better to tell them that than to have other people speculate.
Drew
True, true.
Shannon
I think that's what it was.
Billy
And if it must, must have messed up pretty bad because she said reconciliation. But then more discoveries, like, sounds like the guys in the doghouse, pretty bad. And she's done. So why does she care what she puts out there?
Drew
It's clear that. That she's not happy. No, it's clear by sending that message that she is not happy.
Billy
A politician would be a slime ball.
Drew
That's.
Ryan Lemon
She said she's a woman scorned. She's hurt, yet she's trying to be professional about it. I think that's why she worded it that way. I'm still gonna get my dig in, but be professional.
Drew
Yeah. So she didn't just say, he cheated on me with a younger woman. She said recent discovery.
Ryan Lemon
Yes.
Billy
I feel like the subtlety of only saying recent discoveries is almost a little worse because really, people speculate more into.
Drew
Some wild things and recent makes it also maybe suggest that it happened before. Oh, yeah, right.
Shannon
Yeah. And the reconciliation.
Drew
The reconciliation. Who's up first? Scott. Scott. Go ahead, Scott.
Billy
Hey, guys, quick hypothetical.
Matt Jones
My friends and I have been discussing who has more losses this year, Kentucky football or Kentucky basketball and SEC play. I'll hang up and listen.
Drew
I think it would have been good to. I appreciate the call to have done a pre donut contest of what has. What's more UK losses or Ryan donuts.
Billy
Oh, that would have been good.
Drew
I think you could have gotten a 5050 line there.
Ryan Lemon
I think you could have.
Drew
And you finished eight, nine. That's true. Which is where a lot of people put, well, who has more losses, UK football or basketball regular season?
Billy
Well, he said basketball. SEC losses. When you add the sec.
Drew
I'm going football. Okay, so let's just do the whole season. More losses in the regular season. Kentucky basketball. Kentucky football.
Billy
I forgot Kentucky football losing seven. Do I think Kentucky basketball will lose seven? I don't.
Drew
I don't think so.
Billy
Right at it. But I'll go pick one. Yeah, I'm going.
Drew
Football loses more. Football loses more.
Shannon
I'm going to say, well, I've already picked Kentucky football to win six this year. So assuming that happens, I'm going to say the basketball team loses more.
Drew
Basketball Loses more.
Ryan Lemon
Ryan, I'm right there with you guys. But I think the basketball would lose more than the football.
Drew
Yeah, I'm going to. I mean, I think Kentucky's going to go. I think they're going to steal a game. So I think they're going to go 5 and 7. So if I think they're going to go 5 and 7, then do I think UK basketball? Well, let's just go through the schedule real quick. Non conference games. The games you could lose are Louisville, Michigan state, Indiana, Gonzaga, North Carolina and St. John's we're gonna beat North Carolina because it's at home. I think we're gonna beat Michigan State. I think between Louisville, Gonzaga, St. John's and. What's the other one? Louisville, Gonzaga, Indiana. We're gonna beat Indiana. So now we're down to Louisville, Gonzaga, St. John's I'd say we win two of those three. So I think we go to conference play with two losses. I think we're only going to lose foreign conference. You know what? I must say less. I'm going to say the football team loses more. My initial thought going into that was it was going to be basketball. But the thing is, three of our six tough games are against teams that we should be better than or we're playing at home, Indiana and North Carolina. And then I think we're going to be better than Michigan State. So between Louisville, Gonzaga and St. John's we could win all those. I'd say we'll probably drop two of them. So that's why I'll go. Go through that.
Ryan Lemon
So what are you thinking? Four SEC losses then?
Drew
I think I'm going to go for SEC losses. I might have to see the breakdown to see where they are, but I would say four.
Ryan Lemon
It's a good question because they're both right there together.
Drew
You know, looking at that schedule, even though you play six good teams, you could win all those games. And I would go so far as to say we'll probably only be an underdog in one of those games. I think we'll be an underdog in the Louisville game, oddly, because we're playing on their gym. But I think besides that, we'll. Drew, won't we be a favorite in all those games? Let's see what happens with St. John's but it's.
Billy
I would think so. St. John should be down a little bit. I think Kentucky will be up. Gonzaga's got some guys back, but you just beat them last year and I think you're approved. So, yeah, I think they'd mostly be favored.
Drew
And we will have a crowd advantage. We'll have a crowd advantage at all those neutral site games. We'll have a crowd advantage in New York over Michigan State. We'll have a crowd advantage in Atlanta. And then we'll have a massive crowd advantage in Nashville against Gonzaga.
Billy
I'm sitting behind Mark Few, so I can assure you there will be a crowd advantage in Bridgestone.
Drew
That's interesting. You know, I guess I didn't really realize how much. Damn. I mean, the most likely loss of the non conference season is that first game at Louisville.
Billy
Yeah, and we're winning that one.
Drew
Well, I certainly hope so. Who's up next?
Ryan Lemon
Brittany.
Drew
Brittany, Go ahead, Brittany. Hey, you guys. I wish I was with you all.
Matt Jones
Today at the pool. I'm outside and it is so hot.
Drew
But I had to see if those.
Matt Jones
Phone lines were working and they are now, which I'm glad about.
Drew
I was just calling in to say.
Matt Jones
I'm looking forward to TBT next week. I'm taking my kids.
Drew
We went last year and I know it'll be just as fun again this year. Yeah, let's talk about TBT for just a second. It starts Thursday. Friday. First game is Friday at Memorial Coliseum. You can get get your tickets, the UK alumni and Jesser. Why are you shaking your head? What's wrong with Jesser?
Shannon
I got strong thoughts on Jesser.
Drew
Give me your strong thoughts on Jess.
Shannon
I think it's ridiculous they're bringing in a YouTuber to be on the roster at that point. Why not just bring on Ryan Lemon? I mean, what's the difference?
Drew
You were not on last week when they announced.
Shannon
No, but I saw that and I rolled my eyes going, really? We're doing.
Drew
Did you know who that was?
Shannon
No, I had no idea.
Drew
I didn't.
Shannon
And people were saying, oh, you know, Jesser is going to bring some attention to UK basketball. Who doesn't know that UK basketball exists. This is bringing attention to Jesser because I had no idea who that was until UK basketball brought him to light. Thank you.
Ryan Lemon
There's a chance. There's a chance. Jesser on next week.
Shannon
I'm not talking to him.
Drew
What do you mean you're not talking to him? You're not going to talk to him.
Billy
It's you and Ryan interviewing.
Drew
It's just. It's going to be you three. I'm not going to be here.
Ryan Lemon
Boys.
Shannon
You better get your questions ready.
Billy
I'm gone that day, too.
Drew
Oh, is it just you two and Jesse? Oh, my. You two in? Jesse? No, you got it. Well, no, Mario's on vacation next week too, so you don't even have the thing that you could relate to.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, Shannon.
Drew
Oh, dude, I hope it's one on one. Ryan and Jesser. What would you even say to him?
Ryan Lemon
And so he played against Kane Brown in the Celebrity All Star Game. You look good.
Drew
You look good. That's what you're gonna say. You might want to get some help before you do that. They play Friday.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Drew
They play Sunday and then they play Tuesday.
Ryan Lemon
Right.
Drew
And all of those. We will have the UK or the TBT team on Thursday.
Ryan Lemon
I think we're gonna have four guys on Wednesday. Four guys on Thursday.
Drew
Good. That's awesome. Who's up next? Jerry. Jerry. Go ahead, Jerry.
Matt Jones
Hey, Matt. First off, on the Paxton thing, the, the NRSC and John Cornyn are already going after that with ads.
Drew
Yeah.
Matt Jones
Against Paxton. But anyway, but I was talking about yesterday with the, with the legislation there in Congress. I'm not surprised that happened because one of the, you know, in addition to the universities putting pressure, I figured when programs started getting eliminated, there'd be a lot of pressure from women's advocates to get something done. And two or three weeks ago, there was not. There was an article in AP that over that two weeks, 32 women's programs had gotten eliminated. Yeah, well, and there were more coming.
Drew
But it's gonna, I appreciate the call. There's gonna be a lot of men's and women's programs get eliminated. But that's, you know, the thing is, the great thing about capitalism is it allows things like this house in this neighborhood. The bad thing is, you know, sometimes mom and pop shops go away. And unfortunately, I think they're going to be sports that go away because college athletics have hidden from the market for years by basically not paying their workers. Now they have to. And so when that happens, the strengths and weaknesses of capitalism will show. And I think there's going to be. Sports go away, Ryan. It's just inevitable.
Ryan Lemon
We saw it coming. I mean, everybody saw this coming. It was definitely just going to happen. And you know, some schools are like, like uk. They started a stunt team, all women stunt team kind of help, you know, balance that a little bit. Because it doesn't cost anything for the stunt team. Yet you've got an all women sports team.
Drew
Do you. How you feeling?
Ryan Lemon
I need a nap.
Shannon
Step on the scale and see if.
Drew
You gain any more. Let's see if you gain any more. So you gained 1.2 pounds between segment. The segment last hour and the segment this one we're now at. You were at 218.6. Oh, you've lost 0.2 pounds. Good job, Brian. So basically, sweat it out the donuts. Yeah, you may have sweated out the donuts. Were about £2 worth of food.
Ryan Lemon
I feel it. I mean, I. I really starting to feel it.
Drew
Like. What do you mean?
Ryan Lemon
Like, my stomach's, like, growing. It's like.
Drew
I wasn't gonna say this, but it does look bigger. Yeah, doesn't it?
Ryan Lemon
You put on weight.
Drew
It looks a little. It looks a little.
Ryan Lemon
How much longer have we got in this show?
Drew
We got 30 minutes left in this show. Who's next?
Shannon
Bruce.
Drew
Bruce. Go ahead, Bruce.
Matt Jones
Matt coming to you live from the Rock the Country here in Ashland. Man, you guys should have been here doing that donut contest.
Drew
Well, thank you. Enjoy the concert. Is it. What is it Kid Rock tonight?
Matt Jones
Kid. Kid Rock tonight. Nickelback tomorrow. I have two quick hitters real quick. If you're coming this way. The worst speed trap in the United States is Catburg. If it says 35, you better be doing 30 because this is their Super Bowl. And the second quick hitter.
Drew
Wait a minute. Hang on. Just say. You're saying the police in Catletsburg have been waiting for this weekend for speeding.
Matt Jones
They talk about what Kentucky comes. They have T shirt night and all that. Khalid. The only source of revenue they have is ticket violations. There's no industry there.
Drew
So that you talk about West Virginia.
Matt Jones
No, no. Calixburg, Kentucky and Boyd County. When you come through as you're going.
Drew
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Matt Jones
I'm telling you, that's the worst. And the second quick hitter is. This is a yes or no. Did you or did you not date Kelly? Kelly?
Shannon
Come on.
Drew
What do you. What?
Shannon
You didn't date Kelly?
Ryan Lemon
Kelly? No, but her dreams, man.
Drew
No, but I. She.
Shannon
You talked to her one time. That doesn't mean.
Drew
I talked to her. She lived across the hall from me. I helped her study for her wrestling final. What are you talking about?
Shannon
She wanted to go try on different outfits. And you said, nah, I don't want to know.
Drew
I went. I went for the trial. 859280, 22. 87. Good memory, though. We'll take a break. Be right back. It's Kentucky Sports Radio. Welcome back, techie. Sports Radio here, sponsored by CS Pools at Ryan's house. Ryan, how we feeling?
Ryan Lemon
Little versus we go along. I think it's gonna be a rough afternoon household.
Drew
But you look. Yeah, I feel like you look better than I thought you would, to be honest.
Ryan Lemon
I'M I'm mad. I'm as mad as I don't feel good. I'm mad I didn't finish. I thought I had it. I really thought I could do that. And then left the first donor. Like, I can't do that.
Drew
I mean, I did think Drew the worst ants. The worst ending for him would be getting like eight to nine.
Billy
My exact prediction. Pay me DraftKings.
Drew
Yeah, I would. I would have bet. I would have bet like eight. Between eight and nine, you hit exactly. You know, at the beginning I thought you were going to do it. And then. And when Dante. I think I actually should blame Dante. Let's blame Dante was here. You got excited and then Dante left.
Ryan Lemon
He got me going. Got me on a roll a little bit there.
Drew
No Che Linda Farms. This is something you want to think about right now. Beef at Noche Linda Farms. Let's say you book something online and it arrives nothing like the picture. Well, Steve Grissom, that doesn't happen with Noche Linda Farms. He breeds the cattle. The flavor, the tenderness, the harvest of every cut is consistent. It's a true farm to table experience. We were just taste testing it the other day. Here's a review from a recent customer. I'm truly so impressed by the incredible service and quality of meat coming from Noche Linda Farms. I purchased tomahawk steaks for my dad for my birthday and they were great. They're super helpful. You can do it too. Go tonoche linda farms dot com. Check out Steve Grissom. Locally owned beef, top quality at Noche Linda Farms. Are you all going to see Superman this weekend?
Ryan Lemon
No.
Drew
Yes, you're going to see it. You know you hate superhero movies. What about you two?
Ryan Lemon
I will not go to a movie.
Drew
He's.
Shannon
He's not going to get off his couch.
Ryan Lemon
I don't think I'll be doing much this weekend.
Drew
All right, what about.
Billy
Not unless he flies over my house.
Ryan Lemon
Are you going to see it? You're the movie guy.
Drew
But you know, I don't like superhero movies. I want things, like, grounded in things that could actually happen.
Ryan Lemon
So what makes this one supposed to be different than the other Superman movies?
Drew
It doesn't. They just change every few years. Yeah, every few years. We did, we did this on Interrupted by Matt Jones. They. We. Every few years is just a new Superman and then you go see it.
Ryan Lemon
And it's the same thing with Spider Man. It's the new Spider Man.
Billy
They have a Spider man button in the studio. And every couple summers they're like, we need money. Hit the spider man button.
Drew
Yeah, there's a new one, but, yeah, I mean, it's. It's. It's good. It'll probably do. Well, there's, like, a lot of controversy about this one because they say that Superman is woke. But. But I don't know exactly how that would be, but I bet it'll still. Shannon, do. Really?
Shannon
Now I'm curious just to see how they make a woke Superman.
Drew
I think. I think it would be a little hard.
Shannon
I don't want to see that now. You just sold it to me.
Drew
Okay, before we go to the phones, I want to give you one more controversy for the weekend, because I feel like you guys. Ryan, this, I think, actually applies to you.
Ryan Lemon
Okay.
Drew
Some ways.
Ryan Lemon
All right.
Drew
Do you know the story about the woman who went to the 4th of July barbecue with the Annie Posto salad?
Ryan Lemon
No. Tell me about that.
Drew
Okay. There's. In Texas, there's this woman. She's moved into the neighborhood with her kid, doesn't know anybody.
Ryan Lemon
All right.
Drew
From Virginia, I think, and moved to Texas. She meets one other mom. She's got a kid. She meets one other mom, and the mom says, hey, the neighborhood's getting together for the Fourth of July. It's at this person's house. Come over. Just bring a food item. So this woman wants to make a good impression, Shannon. She makes an antipasto salad. I didn't even know what that was. Do you know what it is?
Billy
Antipasto means before the meal, before the pasta. So it's like a appetizer.
Drew
Listen to this. Listen to Anthony Bourdain over here.
Billy
I like Italian.
Drew
So it is. So she. It's a salad with, like, lettuce. She puts it together. It's got Italian meats, it's got cheeses, it's got tomatoes. She puts the little vinaigrette dressing. I have to say, I saw a picture of the Annie Posto salad. Looked like a pretty amazing Annie Posto. Sounds good. She walks up to the house. Now, the woman who invited her, she doesn't see her initially, but she knocks on the door. Somebody says, hey. Oh, come on in. Well, I guess the woman whose house it was doesn't know this person's coming. All of a sudden, she says, oh, no. No one's talking to me. She walks around. According to her, people huddle up, and she's by herself. And then someone comes up to her and says, hey, you need to not be here. You weren't invited. Wow. And she said, but I was invited. And she goes well, they don't want you here.
Shannon
Welcome to the neighborhood.
Drew
Now, she leaves the Annie Posto salad.
Shannon
Oh, I would have taken it.
Drew
Yeah.
Shannon
You don't get it.
Drew
She goes home, and she makes a TikTok. And you can look at this TikTok. It's actually very sad. She's crying. She's like, nobody. She was like, I'm so embarrassed. I brought an antipasto salad. Right? Like, I was all into the antipasto salad. And next thing you know, you know how things just get going on the Internet? Everybody feels sorry for this one. Everybody's writing her, saying, hey, come to my party, etc. They find the woman who kicked her out of the house. Oh, her name is Stacia. And Stacia is exactly what you would think. This was like a rich, bougie neighborhood. And Stacia, rather than just apologizes, she makes a video that goes, I didn't know who this woman was. What do you want me to do? This is my house. I asked her to leave. We didn't know she was invited. And, like, starts. And now the Internet is turned on stage.
Ryan Lemon
Should be.
Drew
Stacia has written long. She's not helping. She writes these long things saying, come on. So here's my question for you, Ryan. You have a neighborhood.
Ryan Lemon
Yes.
Drew
I could see you having a barbecue. Somebody walks in that you don't know, but brings food. Are you letting them in?
Ryan Lemon
I'm probably gonna figure out who they are, why they're here. And they say, well, I'm a new neighbor, just moved in down the street, and Rodney invited me to come over. Oh, that's okay then. Come on and meet everybody.
Shannon
Feels like a solution.
Drew
That's what she said. She did. She said I was invited by Tracy.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah. And Stacy didn't even take the time to.
Drew
Stacia said, get out without even trying.
Ryan Lemon
To figure out if she was a new neighbor.
Drew
Stacia and Jake, by the way.
Ryan Lemon
Stacy and Jake.
Drew
So you would leave them in the party?
Ryan Lemon
I would talk to them.
Drew
Even though. What would you talk to them about?
Ryan Lemon
Just find out who. Who they were. Hey, I'm Ryan. It's my house. Who are you guys? And they say, I'm a new neighbor down the street. Matt just invited me. Oh, come on in. Yeah, Meet everybody.
Drew
So you. I see. I can see that you'd be fine.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Drew
Drew, would you let him in your house?
Billy
Oh, I would do exactly what Ryan just said, especially if they brought that kind of food to my. To my potluck. That can be an expensive thing to Bring with your depending on your meats, cheeses and olives.
Drew
Somebody who specializes in Annie Pasto salads looked at it and said it would have cost her a hundred dollars to make easily.
Billy
Those can be very expensive. So I would love to have I don't know her name, but her at my party. If I'm Stacia, I'm doing what Ryan does. I introduce myself, get familiar, but say, help yourself.
Drew
What about you? You let you invite them in?
Shannon
Well, the fact that she brought food obviously knows that or shows that she knew that there was a party going on. She didn't just crash.
Drew
That's my thing is I don't know if I'd like a stranger in my life, but if I see him with a dish, he's ever robbed somebody carrying a dish when they walked in. Like, to whatever extent you're scared of the person, I think the moment you're carrying in a hundred dollar salad. Shannon, I'm. I think I'm letting you in the house.
Shannon
That's it. Now if she just wanders in, I'm going. I don't know who you are. You probably need to leave. But if you're bringing food, you're contributing to the party, then come on in. You're welcome.
Drew
Have you ever heard of a robbery taking place with food? No.
Billy
Especially not a place where you bring in anti pesto salad.
Shannon
First time for everything, though.
Ryan Lemon
That'd be great.
Shannon
And a pasta.
Ryan Lemon
Full disclosure. At my 50th birthday party, where you were at. Thank you.
Billy
I was gonna bring this up.
Drew
Carry on.
Ryan Lemon
Some people just showed up. The listeners of the show found my address, just showed up and walked into my house. It's a little weird, but.
Drew
Did they bring you food?
Ryan Lemon
Didn't bring food, Nope.
Drew
See, there's the difference.
Shannon
Get out.
Billy
I was gonna bring this up. Ryan's 50th. I mean, most people knew each other, but there were separate rooms with like food items on tables. Like, Ryan's house was kind of an open house and he was very welcoming. I didn't know exactly that. Some listeners have been there, but Ryan wasn't keeping an eye on the place.
Drew
But you didn't kick those listeners out?
Ryan Lemon
Yes, out of the house, asked them to leave.
Drew
Oh, you did?
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Shannon
I don't blame you.
Drew
Oh, I didn't know. So what's the difference between that and this? Why did you kick them out? And you don't think Stacia should have kicked this one?
Ryan Lemon
I think Stacia is a neighbor that was invited by another neighbor. These guys just Walked in, made themselves.
Billy
At home, didn't know anybody.
Shannon
Weren't even a neighbor.
Ryan Lemon
They weren't a neighbor.
Shannon
There you go.
Drew
Well, I don't know.
Billy
They're probably listening.
Drew
But what if they just said that they were neighbors? I don't remember this. Was this when you hired the band?
Ryan Lemon
And yes.
Drew
You didn't tell the city you were having a concert on a city street?
Ryan Lemon
Commonwealth band were playing out in the cul de sac. I had a big barbecue truck and didn't get anything approved.
Drew
Zero.
Billy
Great job.
Shannon
Like today, it was bigger than the fair.
Drew
It was a lot of people there at that. Who's up next?
Shannon
Matt.
Drew
Matt. Go ahead, Matt.
Matt Jones
Hi, guys.
Drew
What's up?
Matt Jones
Hello.
Drew
Hey.
Matt Jones
I like to say two things real quick. First, Ryan, I want you to know I was praying for you the whole time. Good Lord, please help this man accomplish his journey.
Ryan Lemon
Thank you, Matt.
Matt Jones
And keep your head up, man. And the second thing I'd like to say is I would love to invite you all to come over to the farm and do your show. Oldest historical home on my land. My wife's a professional chef. We could eat fresh vegetables out of the garden. She makes the best fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fried green tomatoes, and I've even ran a 26 inflatable water slide.
Drew
Well, that's nice of you. And we, when we do our. And I appreciate the call when we do, we're going to do at least two more road trips this week or, excuse me, this summer. And when we do for the ksr, goes around the state, make sure to call in for the first time. You look awful.
Ryan Lemon
I love you guys. I can't wait for you to leave because I need to crash.
Drew
Are you gonna go to sleep?
Ryan Lemon
Oh, yeah.
Shannon
I was gonna stick around, maybe jump in the pool.
Ryan Lemon
Well, you go ahead. Y' all be upstairs in my bed.
Drew
So you like. It's like you're wanting to go to sleep.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Drew
You have all that sugar, though. You're not on a sugar high.
Ryan Lemon
I think it's doing the exact opposite. It's like. It's like crash.
Drew
Is that what you. Is that what happens? Yeah. It makes you so. So if you eat that much sugar, it makes you crash.
Ryan Lemon
I think I need to spend some private time in the restroom.
Drew
859280, 2287. We're going to take a break. I've got a couple of announcements of things that you might want to hear in terms of stuff coming up in the next week. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. Welcome back. Final segment. Kentucky Sports Radio. Here at CNS pools. For those of you that donated money, I will get the thing to send it back this weekend. I think they said it takes like five to seven days. So hopefully it'll show back up in everybody's account. And you know, Ryan, I'm, I'm. We, we will give you another chance at some point to do something.
Shannon
You're over two. You put it for prison. You didn't eat the donuts. What can you do?
Ryan Lemon
Well, I, I did the push up challenge. I did the run around Atlantic park.
Drew
So license, so harsh all the time.
Shannon
I don't know.
Drew
There were a lot of people, There were a lot of people mad that I cut it off at 5,000. I think if we had left it, it might have gotten up to like 8 or 10,000 and that would have.
Shannon
Been more money for you to refund.
Ryan Lemon
It wouldn't have made a difference. I couldn't get past that, hit that spot. I couldn't get past it.
Drew
Somebody reminded me that the woman that didn't get invited the party, she grew the tomatoes and handmade the mozzarella.
Shannon
When you get kicked out, take that with you.
Billy
I think you gotta throw it at her couch or something on your way out.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, she's.
Billy
Yeah, she's the most expensive furniture.
Drew
Remember, she still has to live in the neighborhood.
Ryan Lemon
That's true.
Drew
This has now become like if you get on tick tock or it's everywhere and she now, she still. These women still have to live in the neighborhood.
Ryan Lemon
Well, you said it during the break. It does feel like a mean girls club. These are, you know, the rich spoiled girls.
Drew
The ones that didn't let her in. They're all kind of pretty and blonde and like that's. I think that's part of what happened as well. Who's up next? Ryan. Ryan. Go ahead, Ryan.
Matt Jones
Hey, first of all, hang in there, Ryan. Valiant effort. Second of all, I'd like to bring a little, bring a little attention to racing. Louisville Football Club is on pace to become the first top tier pro team in Kentucky to make the playoffs since the Colonels 50 years ago. So far this season, they're 3, 0 against LA, NY and Chicago. They got a captain who's a UK hall of Famer and it'd be nice to see you all give him a little love every now and again.
Drew
So the. That's the Louisville women's soccer team, right? Racing Louisville?
Matt Jones
That, that's correct. Yeah. They're actually playing Lexington and are friendly this weekend.
Drew
Yeah. So they are in the top level. They're the only pro sports team we have in Kentucky that is at the top level and they are, they are having a great season. So good luck to racing Louisville. Well, they play Lexington. I can't root for him against Lexington, but maybe in other games down the road.
Ryan Lemon
So what does it mean? He says he's playing him in a friend.
Matt Jones
Yeah, that's just an exhibition game.
Drew
It's exactly right. Friendlies are like when we play Purdue in Georgetown.
Ryan Lemon
Gotcha.
Drew
Appreciate the call. We could call them a friendly. Would you like to do that instead of an exhibition? Just call them Drew. This is just a friendly.
Billy
No, nothing about that Purdue game is going to be friendly. They'll be the number one team, I think.
Drew
Do you think. Do you think we're gonna, as a fan base, overreact if that. If that doesn't go well, Even though.
Billy
It doesn't, we're gonna react to whatever.
Drew
Happened even though it doesn't count.
Shannon
Yep.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah.
Drew
If wins, would you say to Mark Pope, I want you to, you know, when we play transy in those teams, he can just play anybody and we're still going to win. And they use it as a way to get a lot of guys minutes. Would you say against Purdue you play it to get a lot of guys minutes or do you play to win the game?
Ryan Lemon
He'll play to win the game his way. So he'll play all of his guys. And when he would do it against Louisville the next week, you think you.
Drew
Like, if he were to play Purdue in a regular season, he'd probably play a lot like a tight rotation or whatever his, you know, in season rotation. Would you be cool with him expanding it for this or should it be like it's going to be during the year, whatever that is.
Ryan Lemon
Me, I wanted the way he played the way you're going to play against Louisville in a week.
Drew
What about you?
Billy
Same thing. It's a great experience for the guys that will be playing down the stretch because Purdue's the favorite to win the title. So unless he and Matt Painter have a gentleman's agreement like this, we're treating this like practice.
Drew
And they Self and Cal Perry did that. Self and Cal Perry, when Arkansas played Kansas, they both kind of agreed we're going to play all our guys and just get and get ready.
Billy
And Cal Perry wouldn't even let people zone sometimes. I hope they treat this one like it's a final four game. It'll be a fun treat even though we all will overreact to it.
Shannon
Yeah. You practice like you play. You play like you practice. So however he's going to play in the regular season, I think that's how he should play this exhibition game.
Drew
I told you all that. We're going to do a wing tasting, right where we. Where we let you guys sample our flavors at KS Bar. Tell us what's good and tell us which one's better. Those tickets are going to go on sale right after the show. I will put it up on Twitter, and Mario will put it up on the Bond that Bridge page on Facebook. Only. Only a few tickets. Only 75 tickets, so make sure to order quickly. It's 20 bucks, and you get to have a ton of wings. And you'll be the first one to see the new KS Bar, and not.
Billy
Just the first to see you get to actually pick for the new chaos.
Drew
Yeah. And if people don't like the wing sauce, I blame you. 75 people. I will literally call each of you and say, you should have done a better job.
Shannon
Those people better get in there and buy the wings.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, all 75 people. Get a little checklist or something.
Drew
Yeah. So we have, like, 11 flavors, but, like, four or five of them, we know what we're doing, but there's like five or six where we're going to give you multiple different versions of Barbecue Hot medium. We're going to give you a bunch of different versions, and you're going to rate which one you like and which one you don't. And we're going to kind of use that to help us figure out what our official one is going to be.
Ryan Lemon
Cool. Very cool. I like that.
Drew
So, yeah, you'll be there, too. Yeah. Who's up next? Alex. Alex. Go ahead, Alex.
Matt Jones
Hey, guys. I'm a show or two behind, so I don't know if you covered this, but I was curious if you guys had been following Norlander and Gary Parish's ion college basketball podcast. Over the last week or so, they've been ranking the top 25 moments in college basketball over the last 25 years.
Drew
Okay.
Matt Jones
They haven't done the top 5. They haven't done the top five. But Kentucky has snuck into a few spots. They did a couple not so great, but St. Peter's run, they had the 2015 almost perfect season. Yeah, they had actually pretty highly ranked Caliperi leaving Memphis, sort of taking the whole league by storm. I was, you know, curious if you agree with that.
Drew
And, yeah, I mean, that would be a good topic for another day. Kind of the best moments of the last 25 years. I mean, I would think. I don't know if it'll make their list, but the Harrison twins run has to be.
Ryan Lemon
Of course it is.
Drew
It's certainly on our list. I would guess their number one play moment will probably be that North Carolina Villanova shot where the for the buzzer beater for the national championship, Chris Jenkins. I would think that's probably the number one spot, but I don't know off the top of my head, that was.
Billy
The very first game that came to mind when I was trying to think of one that they would include.
Drew
I think for Kentucky. If you were to say, Matt, what is the most exciting. What are the three most exciting moments the last 25 years? I would say the Harrison twins run winning the national championship and then I might say Jody meeks going for 54 against. Against Tennessee. What would you say?
Ryan Lemon
Just great moments. That. That Florida game at rupp arena in OH3 and.
Drew
But the game didn't. That game didn't really matter a lot. I'm just saying like moments. Historic moments.
Ryan Lemon
Yeah, that was historic for me. As glad as I think rubbering has ever been, ever.
Drew
Would you put it ahead of the three? I said no.
Ryan Lemon
It's in the discussion. But not what you would think of.
Drew
You'd put ahead of those three.
Shannon
I mean the 381 season, if you can combine it all into one thing, I would say that. But you know, obviously not the Wisconsin.
Drew
That was what was great about that 381 season is it felt like, you know, they had a handful of games down where we. Where it was close to losing and you just wanted them to win so much. I think there was that game at home against Ole Miss, the game at LSU down there where Carl Towns got the big play. I think that was part of what made that. It's like every game it felt like Drew, you couldn't lose.
Billy
Absolutely. We all knew the pressure. Even if you were playing Mississippi State. I would even throw break in the final four drought when they beat Ohio State, North Carolina.
Drew
Those are good.
Billy
The year before the title.
Drew
Yes, those were good. Hey, first of all, thank you to all of the people who donated who made this possible, made it exciting. Thank you to CNS Pools as well. Thank you, you know, to everybody. And Ryan, thank you to you. You are a very good sport about this as always. I hope even though it didn't work out, I hope you felt the love from the fan base.
Ryan Lemon
I'm feeling something right now. No doubt.
Drew
Thank you to Commonwealth Causes as well for the donation. Ryan, get some rest.
Ryan Lemon
I'm going to thank you. Thanks for watching.
Drew
