C
All?
D
You got little kids trolling you now?
A
Yeah, I think so. I think it was a troll. I genuinely think it was a troll. I thought it was. It made me laugh quite a bit. Before we go the phones through a little piece of news, you and I uncover. Zero for the NFL cover. Zero listeners out there. And I have to say, I hope you all are listening because Drew and I have a lot of fun doing this show. We have a lot of jokes that stay with us. We've talked a lot about Meow Mix, right? You remember Meow Mix?
B
Of course. Through there, our Panthers podcast.
A
Yeah, Panthers podcast. So for people who don't know, it was a Panthers podcast, it went on for, like, seven years. They decided to quit after the Panthers went started like one in four in the season, but now the Panthers have won four straight. And so they announced after their win Saturday against or Sunday against Shannon's Patriots, Meow Mix is back. They were coming back to podcasting, and the world was excited. But then all of the former Panthers players wrote them and begged them to not come back. Said, we started getting good when you left. Don't be a jinx and come back and ruin our streak. So after announcing they were coming back, getting thousands of people around the country excited, Meow Mix is back. Now they've said, well, these players don't want us to come back, so we won't. Are you saddened at all, Drew, that the Panthers podcast that went away and then came back with all this national attention now has to go away again so that they're not a jinx.
B
I'm glad the players did this. Meow Mix. It was going to be a horrible decision to come back. You've won four out of five since you disappeared. The Panthers have. And your one loss is the Bills. Them quitting set the Panthers on a new trajectory. That's been really good. And if they had come back and done another episode. I would have put every penny on. I guess they're playing the Saints this week. Whoever it is, I would have put every penny on the other team because Malmix is the problem here, and they need to recognize that by staying away is what's working.
A
But, Shannon, isn't that heartbreaking if the team you love in order for you to win needs you to not be a part of the team?
D
Well, I think it's a bad look on Meow Mix to just stop because their team sucked. I mean, that's on them.
A
But they did it because they were getting no attention and they were moving on with their lives. And then when they quit, they got attention. So it was so. It was almost like they had no idea that they would get this response.
D
Let's say Kentucky got cursed, and the only way Kentucky football could win is if KSR just went off the air.
A
Okay, that's you. You're. You're thinking like me.
D
Yeah.
A
So let's start like this. This is for every fan out there. What if I told you that if you promise to not watch any of the games or listen to KSR or do any fan anything, Kentucky would win the national championship? Would you do it? Would you want your team to win so badly that you got to partake in none of the spoils? You couldn't go to the games. You couldn't watch them. You couldn't go to a bar and watch them. You just had to, like, you could know they win, but you don't get to celebrate or be part of any of the celebration. Ryan, would you do that if you were a fan?
C
I don't think I could do it. Because part of being a fan is enjoying the moment and watching the games and seeing the big wins and watching them cut down the nets. I mean, I would. I would hate to miss that part as a fan, I think that's part of what makes sense.
A
So you would be selfish and not do it? Yes, be selfish and say I have to watch it, and if we don't win, so be it.
C
Yeah, I would definitely be selfish.
A
What about you?
B
Easy. I'll do it right now. Give me the opportunity to gift Big Blue Nation a title. I will go just binge watch episodes of Chopped on. On Hulu and forget this team exists.
A
That's fine.
B
It's not about me. It's not about me. I don't care. I'm selfless. I'm thinking the joy all of my friends, people I don't even know, the joy would bring the State what it would do for the program. I don't see it as me not being a part of it. I see me as being a big part of it. I just have to stay away for the greater good. So I don't even have to think.
A
What if nobody. What if nobody knows? That's fine.
B
I don't need to.
A
I'm good.
B
I'm good.
A
Knowledge of it.
B
That's fine. It's not about me. You're already. You're already making it about me again. It's about the happiness for everyone else. I'll be fine.
A
Ryan is selfish. Drew is selfless.
B
And I don't need a single credit. I will be happy seeing the smiles on everyone.
A
Listen to that. That's great. Shannon, what about you?
D
So can I. I got a question. Can I go back and watch the game after it happens?
A
No. Oh, no. You can never. Like, you can know it happened, but you are forbidden from having any joy from it beyond just the knowledge that you want.
D
I was thinking, you know, I could just watch it like it's a tape delay back in the day, like when you had to watch the game at 11 o'.
A
Clock. It's just going to be a mystery to you. You're just going to hear they won the title. That's all you're going to hear.
D
I don't know, man.
C
That is.
D
That is a terrible situation. You know what? I think I would do it for one year and then I want the credit, though. I'm unlike Drew. I want the credit. I want everybody to. To put me up on their shoulders.
A
And say, Shannon was the reason he.
D
Didn'T watch any of the games. He's the reason we won. So if I get the credit for it, then yes.
A
Okay. All right. I would. I think I'm like Drew. I would say for the collective happiness of the state, I would take it. You know, the reality is, Drew, I don't watch a lot of the games anyway because I get nervous.
B
I was going to bring that up.
A
We get to the tournament, I'm so nervous that often I don't watch them anyway until the replay, till I know what happened. So I'm going to do it. I'm withdrew, which means, oddly, Ryan, you're the only one that's selfish out of the group.
C
I mean, we've won eight titles. We're going to win more titles down the road. I'm. I'm not doing it for a year.
A
You're looking out for you. I'm over the fan base. All right, well, watch it.
C
On the stream and get old.
B
Means there might not be another one.
C
There's more.
B
You can guarantee one.
C
There's more coming.
D
You'd save yourself a lot of money and YouTube streamer tips.
A
Sounds like Drew. Drew and I are like, Meow Mix. Ryan is his own selfish fan. Who's up next?
D
Southside Chuck.
A
Southside Chuck. Go ahead.
E
Good morning, Matt and fellas.
A
Good morning.
E
I had. I have been listening and watching the UK streamer since COVID so I can answer pretty much any questions you have about his stream.
A
So. So when you say the streamer, there's one in particular you watch?
E
Yeah, it's. It's the guy Ryan has mentioned. There are a few others, but this guy's the predominant one. He has been doing UK games. Like I said, I've been watching him since COVID and.
A
So do you have, like, a personal affinity for him?
E
No, he just. He is the only one that consistently covers every UK basketball game, no matter what day, whether it be on a Tuesday or a Saturday. But he does it. And he. He doesn't verbally ask for donations. He. He puts his cash app up, and then as people begin to donate, he'll acknowledge them, like Ryan.
A
Okay, have you ever donated?
E
Makes probably. No, but he doesn't.
A
Okay, so now I actually think you're the opposite, because I was mocking Ryan for giving him $10 for a game. But you have now used it for five years. Have you never wanted to, like, give him a little something for his efforts?
E
No, his effort is by his choice.
D
I like the way he thinks.
A
I mean, that's true.
E
And there he is.
A
But if everybody has your attitude, if everyone had your attitude, though, then he probably wouldn't do it.
E
I bet he makes two or three thousand dollars a game.
A
Wow.
D
Yeah, it's pretty good.
E
Many people that watch and donate, I bet he makes two or three thousand dollars per game.
A
But you're not donating.
E
No, I'm not.
A
Okay.
E
Why donate when I come out when it's on there for free? But he's not. But he isn't the only one that is streaming it. I watch all UK sports on YouTube. I watch basketball, football, volleyball. I watch them all. They're all on there for free.
A
All right, well, I appreciate the call. Who knew there's this outlaw world which Shannon introduced us to, in which Ryan has gladly opened his bank account to that I don't know, that I don't know a lot of fans were aware of. Maybe this will be the case that no one ends up with these subscriptions. Now, Shannon, because of you. Why.
D
Why would you pay for it when it's there for free?
A
He said, I don't know the answer to this. Is every game on there? Yes. Like, if I were.
D
I mean. Yeah, you heard what, south side Chuck.
A
Just not just Kentucky. I'm saying, like, if I wanted to watch.
D
No, no, not every game, but.
C
Okay, I think Duke was on there last night.
D
Yeah, yeah, but he's asking as every. No, not every game, but every Kentucky game. Yes, but other teams, not necessarily.
A
Interesting. All right, who's next?
D
Let's go to Gage.
A
Gage. Go ahead, Gage.
E
Hey, guys. There are actually a lot of games that you can find on YouTube. So I'm still in high school, and when March Madness comes around, instead of, you know, doing my work in class, I usually just look games up on YouTube, and I still get to watch March Madness while I'm in school. So that's pretty. That's pretty nice. But we. We. We've also. We also watched the world series on YouTube.
D
Yeah. Who's waping for cable?
A
Yeah, I mean, there is. Since you all are making it sound like there's no reason to have any of these things.
E
No, there's really not. I mean, we. My tv, it's like. It's, like, weird. Like, I only have, like, YouTube and Netflix I can get on. And we literally watched it outside in a tent on YouTube.
A
In a tent. So, like, how do you have a TV you can only get on YouTube? What kind of television is that?
E
It's a. It's a really cheap one because, you know, my mom.
A
All right, well, I understand. Well, listen, I. If it works for you, I love it, and you get to watch all the games and you're in high school, so I say keep doing it, sir.
E
Thank you, Matt.
A
Appreciate the call. I drew. I knew none of this, but luckily, I'm. I'm learning. The Herald Leader did a story this morning that I did want to know. They were talking about UK football and the transfer portal. You know, we lost a ton of guys in the transfer portal. And in the story, one of the things they said is, okay, let's go see how these guys are doing that we lost in the portal. Because I think we lost something like 19 guys or in the portal. And basically the analysis of the story was at virtually every position where we lost a player, Kentucky has replaced that player with someone better or equal. That essentially none of the transfer losses were huge losses, that they've basically all been, for the most part, replaced. Do you agree with that analysis? And if so, like, what does that say going forward?
B
Hmm. I'm trying to run through positions. I don't know that I would agree with it right away. I'm trying to.
A
I mean, the only one that you could argue is Dane and Barian. But even those guys, their production levels haven't been at a level that is substantially different than what we're doing here. And so the argument is it didn't really make much difference on anybody either way.
B
I guess I'm going through. And some of the guys they paid to replace people aren't the ones doing the replacing.
A
Like, fair enough.
B
Calzada is just. I mean, I only got hurt, but he's just sitting there and he was the replacement. Dante Dowdell. It's been more of the Seth McGowan show. They were more of a one, two, I guess receivers, you got young guys stepping up when the portal guys haven't done as much. Now laws turned it on lately, so I guess people have stepped up and filled holes, but I don't know that it's been there. What they thought it would be in all the spots.
C
Right.
B
If that makes sense.
C
I mean, Dane's got five touchdowns and at one point he had more touchdowns.
B
Those.
A
He had those here. I mean, like, it wasn't like. Like his production there has not been that much different than it was here.
C
But I think our entire receiver core doesn't have five touchdowns.
B
I think they just got their fifth.
C
Yeah.
B
On Saturday as a group.
C
Yeah. Kendrick Law's got three.
A
Lost his quarterback. Right. Didn't he get hurt?
C
Yes, he did. Yeah, he did. He's out.
A
Yeah. It's a tough. He broke his.
C
But I don't think Barry on hasn't done much down at LSU from what I understand.
A
Yeah. It'd be interesting to see if those guys had stayed. Would. Would it have been better for both of them or would it be better for the team? I don't really know. I mean, it was interesting because those two guys have more talent than anybody that's here. Would it have been better for them? Would it have been better for us? We'll never know. But it's an interesting, interesting question. Got some exciting news from our friends at Cornbread Hemp. They just opened a brand new retail store right inside their facility in Louisville. You can take a tour and see how they make it. This is actually very. If you get a chance, you need to go by their store. The way they make stuff is kind of fascinating. The seltzers, the sleep gummies, the oils, it's all There. And at the Cornbread Hemp facility in Louisville. What's the address? They should put the address on here like Shuff Avenues.
D
That right?
A
That's something like that, yeah. It's not on the copy, but it should be. KKSR listeners get 20% off their first order with the code KSR. 20% off your first order with code KSR. It's cornbread hip. Get a chance, go by their place. They've got literally they have the assembly line right there where you can look at it.
D
4612 Shaft Avenue.
A
4612 Chef Avenue. It's cornbread hemp. This is the good life. We'll be right back.
F

A
Welcome back Techy Sports Radio. Great comments on the text machine. One person writes, Matt, the stream won't get shut down because as long as he's talking about the game, it falls under fair use in the law. That is false. I like when people say definitive legal statement Shannon, that are completely like they know. Yeah, I mean that's not true. Fair use is like if you use a clip or something. So like if JD Vance does an interview on Matt Jones's show and he says a clip that's newsworthy, someone can take that clip and use it and comment on it, but they can't take the whole interview. They have to take like a reasonable clip size. Same thing with like highlights, stuff like that, you can't take the whole thing. So no, you can't stream a game and just. Because if you could do that then Drew, you could just. Everyone could do it, right? You could just go, why should I pay for the rights. The NFL. I have the NFL. Every, every, every network would just take the feed and do their own commentator.
C
Yeah.
B
And usually YouTube starts pulling these at the beginning of the year. It happens. NFL happens every sport. They, they let them get built up, then they just yank them down mid game. But I wonder if right now while YouTube is fighting with ESPN, if they're like, yeah, stream away, just go get that out. YouTube might actually like this because it's the same company. I mean, it's Google. So they're probably thinking, as long as you're not at espn, we don't care what you're doing here for the time being.
A
That's a great point. And that may be. You may have just hit what is happening. One person writes, respectfully, Matt, do you live under a rock? There are all sorts of streams for all sorts of things. Everything in the world is on YouTube. You act like you just discovered it. Okay, maybe true. I mean, I did. I mean I've been on YouTube, but I. And I knew they stream stuff, but I didn't realize. I certainly didn't realize, like Shannon said, there were 60,000 people on there watching them.
D
Yeah.
A
Another person says, you are going to get this taken down and the fan base is going to play blame you. It's not me. You blame Shannon.
D
Don't blame me. I'm just trying to help you all out. I'm trying to get.
A
One person writes, there's one stream that has Tom Leach calling the game and then has the game stats. Well, that sounds awesome. Have you found that one, Ryan?
C
I think I went across that last night. Yeah. It's just stats. There's no like live video, just stats and the radio play by play together.
A
Oh, so it's no video.
C
Correct.
A
Okay, well, that one. That wouldn't be. That wouldn't be quite as interesting. Are you feeling good at all, Drew, about the Florida game Saturday?
B
I have felt good.
A
You thought we were going to win for a while. March.
B
Yeah. That was my hot take in the spring. That I think we could get them because I. And it's looking that way. I never thought Florida would be a good team this year. I thought Kentucky would be a little better than they've been, but I'm not switching up my prediction. I know Florida's a field goal favorite at the moment, but I still like Kentucky at home in that game.
A
Yeah, I mean, I'm feeling good about it. They're still their field goal favorite. I think we can win. I think a lot of it's going to be kind of how engaged is our crowd? How many people go. I'm interested to see what that'll be. Ryan. You know, I judge this stuff by the thing that's easiest for me to judge, which the bar. There wasn't a ton of interest in the Auburn game Saturday, but. But of course then we went and won the Auburn game. So you wonder, like, does that make it different this week? Does winning re engage people? Do you feel like people are re engaged because of the win or no?
C
I do a little bit. It seems like they are just, you know, talking to people. That. That win at Auburn has kind of got re energized our fan base a little bit. If nothing else, I think it re energized the locker room, that's for sure. So, you know, it's supposed to be a nice night, but I would almost prefer it'd be cold with Florida coming in if we're going to have a chance to win. I think the colder it gets, the better our chances maybe to pull one off over him.
A
What is the weather situation? Because I saw everyone change their. Everyone changed their. The high school football games in Louisville Friday, what are they to Thursday? What are they expecting to happen?
C
Well, Friday I think it's supposed to rain a lot. I think Saturday, it's supposed to tail off a little bit.
A
Okay, so Friday, supposed to be bad weather, but Saturday, okay, that's what I understand.
B
Saturday around game time, it's supposed to be like hot 40s, 50, shouldn't be raining.
A
Okay, gotcha. All right, who's up next?
D
Doc?
A
Doc. Go ahead, Doc.
E
Hey, first time, who are two things. I originally had cable with Spectrum and then they lost it a couple years ago before football. And so I canceled it and went to just streaming and Internet. Well, it was $200. I was hand. So I went back to Spectrum because now they have everything included Disney plus ESPN, Hulu, all that stuff. And I'm paying like 140. I think we're getting full cyclical back to what it used to be. One thing for everything and then second thing, in order of importance. Do you think we need to win football at Florida, football at Louisville if we're five and six, or Louisville basketball or Florida basketball.
A
Wow. Florida basketball's at the bottom. I mean, I'll be the last game of the year. So our focus will be on.
E
Or actually Arkansas switch Florida for Arkansas basketball.
A
Arkansas is different. All right, well, I appreciate the call. So I guess that to answer that question, you have to decide, like, what do you want? Because there are people out there who kind of wouldn't mind to see a change. If you're just talking to me personally, what is my order of wanting to win? Oh, man, I would go, I want to beat Louisville in football because it would keep him out of the playoff.
C
I think that's number one, isn't it?
A
So I would go Louisville football, then probably Florida football, Louisville basketball, Arkansas basketball. That's my. That's my order. Or maybe Arkansas ahead of Louisville and basketball. But the two football games are more important to me, just about the future of the program one way or the other. I did, you know, the radio season, basketball games, they matter, but they go away. The football games have lasting importance. One game. So that's why that's going to be ahead for me. We'll take a break. Be right back. Ksr TJ Smith, personal injury attorney.
C
Call tj.
A
He'll make him pay.
D
Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio, presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones.
A
Welcome back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio. 859-280-2287. Text machine. 772-774-5254. Wings Day at KS Bar. It's a great Wednesday. Thanks to Drew for doing the post game show. How'd that go last night, Drew?
B
I think every single call just wanted to say that they love Colin Chandler's dunk. So it was fitting that I got to be the one to take those calls.
C
And the dude that hit the half court shot also called in last night.
B
Jared called in. He was fired up. Pretty neat story.
A
He had a $10,000 half court shot, is that right?
B
Yeah. But several people turned it down before they asked him, which I think is weird. But he and his buddy played rock paper, scissors for who got to do it. And he actually lost. But his friends saw how upset he was that he lost and how bad he wanted the shot. So his friend said, you go shoot it. And then he made it.
A
Is this the Jared we know or a different Jared?
C
I didn't know.
B
What Jared are you talking about?
A
Well, you and I know a big Jared fan. It's not him. It's what you're saying. You know, the. The one guy. I can't see you, so I can't. I could do.
B
I don't even know who you're talking about, but this guy's a fan of the show. He called in, says he listens to ksr. But yeah, he's a big KSR fan, but no, he called in, just explained it all.
A
Well, good.
B
I guess there was a moment there where they wondered if his foot was on the line. But he sent me a photo. You could park a car between his foot and the.
A
See, I hate when they do foot on the line. Remember we had that a few years ago and they weren't going to give it to him?
D
Give it?
A
Yeah. This is not NBA. Like, if he's close, what are you doing? Give him the money.
D
Unless he's clearly over the line, then.
A
Yeah, unless he's shooting a free throw, just go ahead and give him the money.
D
Exactly.
A
Tennessee and Kentucky, ESPN just announced that game Sunday, the volleyball game will be on ESPN regular at 5 o'. Clock. Ryan. So not only does Craig Skinner want to pack the house, I think part of why he wants to do it and is this is on ESPN regular for. For Sunday, the volleyball game between Kentucky and Tennessee.
C
I guess I'll be dialing up Sports Live reactions and see if he's going to carry the game for me.
A
You think you'll have it?
C
I'll tip him again if he carries that volleyball game for me.
A
All right, I got a. I got.
B
A beef with Craig Skinner.
A
Okay, what is.
B
He stood on the desk and asked everyone to buy tickets and I think he bought him tickets himself two nights ago. That night I went to buy tickets and there weren't any more general admission left. So, Craig, you got to leave a.
A
Couple out now you.
B
Yeah, I got to buy very verified secondary tickets just to get general admission now. So it's going to be a good crowd. But come on, Craig, let me get mine first before you start shouting from the rooftop. But it worked. There's no more available. When I checked two nights ago.
A
Do you think, Shannon, there's any other sports host in America that during their show has also been following a Supreme Court argument while it's going on?
D
Probably not. Probably just you.
A
Yeah. I'm sitting here watching. Trump's tariffs are going down. Supreme Court's killing him right now. I don't know when that'll get announced, but.
C
Very interesting.
A
What do you mean it's very interesting?
C
It's very.
A
Want to know about that?
C
Sure, I do. Yes.
A
Do you know what a tariff is like a tax. Okay, tell me what a tariff. Explain to people what a tariff is like.
C
When we buy goods from Canada, we're going to tax them.
A
Who's we?
C
United States.
A
But like. You mean the country or like businesses?
C
The business. The. The business. We're going to. We're going to tax you. We're going to force you to pay us money to buy your product and.
A
So who are they going to pay? Who's going to have to pay it?
C
The company people.
A
The. Which company? The Canadian company?
C
Yeah, the Canadian. The Canadian company.
A
No, the American company is gonna pay the importer.
C
The importer. Not the importee.
A
The American company will pay to bring in a foreign product. So that's it. The tax is actually on the American company.
C
There you go.
A
See?
C
Very interesting.
A
There you go. But it looks like that maybe. Looks like that may get shot down. Who's up next?
D
Bubba.
A
Bubba, Go ahead. Bubba.
E
Hey, I just want to thank you for the tickets last night.
A
Seats, right? You got the seventh row. So how was it?
E
I was great. It was great. Me and my son went and really enjoyed it and want to call him. Thank you. And the biggest. The loudest it got in the first half is when. When the guy made the half court shot. So it was. It was a little. Little out of sorts in the first half, but I think we'll be.
A
Were you on the side. I saw where your seats were. Were you on the side where Colin Chandler dunked it or on the other side?
E
Other side, Other side.
A
Okay, gotcha. Well, I. Everybody who won yesterday with those jokes, all three people, you're the third. The other two sent me pictures and thanked me last night. And then you called the show. This is why I think it's so awesome that people donate these tickets and we give them away because, like, those tickets, the tickets you were in, sir, like, he could have sold those for a lot of money and instead gave them away. And I'm glad you all got to enjoy them.
E
Yes, it was. It was a great time. And thanks again.
A
You're more than welcome. Thank you. I just really like that about this fan base. I like how, you know, somebody wrote me and said they wanted to give two away, which were the two I gave to Bubba, but then another person just sent me four. I just got into my email and there were four more. And, you know, I don't expect that to happen for the North Carolina game or the Florida game, but for these other games, I just think, you know, when you give me tickets away, I will give them out. And I think it's. It's neat, Ryan, getting to give people the chance to take their son or whatever else.
C
100% we're going to put the tickets in the hands of people that can go and appreciate it. But did you see where Dennis Johnson sat last night to watch Jasper and his first ever game?
A
Talk to me about that. Jasper Johnson's dad. Why did he sit at the Top.
C
He always does. He's done that since Jasper was a kid. He'll sit as high as he can sit just away, far away from the action as he can. So he went all the way to the tippy Top by himself. Top roll of RUP arena to watch his son play his first game at Rupp Arena.
A
Is it cause he's nervous?
C
I think anytime your dad's watching your kids play, it's unbelievably nervous. And if you're down close, you maybe get caught up in the moment. Maybe you want to yell something. Up at the top.
A
He sits by himself.
C
By himself. Yep. Up at the top.
B
I was confused, like when they. When they get a sellout and there's people there, does he request a single?
C
Oh, no.
B
Or does he. Because last night. No, that whole end zone was in. He walked up there. But will he. Is that his official seat?
C
No, his official family seats are, like, down close. He wasn't set up. Top.
A
I like it, though. I get it. Like, nobody's bothering you. I. I totally. I totally get it. Who's next?
D
Chris.
A
Chris. Go ahead, Chris.
E
Hey, guys. I appreciate you taking my call. First time ever being on. On air, and I'm sitting over here at UK Hospital. I just had open heart surgery on the 20th, and I was just calling to see how. How can. How can somebody come up with a couple of tickets to see UK basketball? I would love to go.
A
We don't.
B
We don't.
A
Yeah, I mean, I. We don't. We don't do requests for tickets. But I will say this. I'm glad. I hope your recovery is going well. From the. From the. Are you doing all right?
E
Yeah, yeah. I think I'm gonna be released here tomorrow. Or is it a following day?
A
Well, good luck with that. Where are you from? 32.
E
Yeah. 32. Yeah, I have. I had a bad heart valve, my tricuspid valve. All my people's from Pike County, Kentucky.
A
Well, where are you from? You're from pike county too?
E
Yeah, I was born in North Carolina, but I represent Kentucky.
A
You represent Kentucky, but you came up here for your surgery?
E
Oh, no, no. I've been living in Lexington for the last four years.
A
Okay, gotcha, gotcha. Well, listen, I hope your recovery goes well. I appreciate you listening, and hopefully one day you can win tickets from us and good luck and come by and see us sometime. Okay.
E
All right. Thank you. Thank you.
A
Thank you, sir. Appreciate it. Well, glad your surgery went well. 32, Shannon. That's.
D
Yeah.

Welcome back. It is Sports Radio 859-280-2287 text machine is 772-774-5254. Andy Beshear says that the nine fatalities are at the airport that that will likely grow by one but some people are still missing. He said it could have hit the Ford factory or convention center at which point it would have been a much worse disaster, which that really is hard to imagine Ryan. I mean the Ford factory as I understand and I could be wrong about this, I guess it can take off two different ways or whatever and if it had been going the other way it would have hit the Ford factory where it was the night shift. I mean you can't even imagine like what that would have been.
C
I didn't realize that was a scenario that could have Possibly happened. So just awful. Every news that comes out just seems to get worse and worse.
A
Yeah. I mean, seriously, think about Shane and what he. What has happened. Like what he's had to deal with since he was the governor. Just in terms of.
D
Yeah, yeah. Start with COVID Yeah, Covid.
A
I mean, what All Mayfield tornado, right?
D
Yep. Flooding.
A
Flooding twice. London tornado.
C
Right.
A
This was kind of amazing if you think about. I mean, that's just what, six years, right? I mean, that's. That's six years. Not even been that long.
D
He's had to go through more like, than any other governor that I can remember in my lifetime. Just.
A
Well, I mean, part of it is that the tornadoes have changed. Like now we are Tornado Alley, which didn't used to be the case. Like, when I was a kid, you thought of tornadoes. What do you think about, like, Iowa and Oklahoma.
C
Yeah. Kansas.
A
Kansas. And now that Tornado Alley, it feels like is us. Feels like Kentucky has become Tornado Alley. And so, yeah, it's just, it's. It's sad. 859-280-2287 that we play Valpo. You know, you. You thought Nichols Drew was the hardest team in the BBN Classic. You feel better about Valpo on Friday?
B
I think they'll be about the same. They were rated pretty similar in Ken Palm. Eastern Illinois looked to be the worst of the three. And I mean, they nearly won that game. So that's the one. I will say my power ranking. We have questions right now, the day after, but so far it looks like Valpo and Nichols are very comparable in Eastern Illinois. A little better than I expected because they were ranked 330th out of 360.
A
Yeah, they. I'm excited, though, just to see Jalen Lowe. Ultimately. That's the thing that, that I want to see. Pope seems to suggest he'll play. That's ultimately for me, Jalen Lowe is the season, so I want to see him on the court. A lot of you have been asking me about the name of the book I talked about yesterday, the North Korean book I've had a bunch of people writing. It's again, without you, there is no us. That's the name of the book that I was talking about yesterday, if you're. If you're interested. Who's next?
D
Douglas.
A
Douglas, Go ahead, Douglas.
E
As far as Andy Beshear, you're forgetting also about the mass shooting at the national bank in Louisville.
A
Oh, yeah, that's exactly right. That was then. That was with Craig. Yeah. But go ahead.
E
And then have you all talked About Three Eye Atlas. It is.
B
We need to.
E
Only. It's only the third interstellar object that's ever come into our solar system. And there's a Harvard professor who published a paper where he suggested, based on all this anomalous behavior of it, it could be some sort of extraterrestrial craft in the sense it has non gravitational acceleration. They've noticed. They've noticed that it's come. It's taken a path where it is, like, at the closest point to Jupiter, Mars, Earth and Venus that it could take.
A
Okay. All right, so are you saying to me that they are. That there are people out there that believe there's a craft right now that could be an alien?
E
Well, they are. They're suggesting that it could be a ship that has been sent from a more advanced society to come observe the different planets.
A
Okay, so who is. When you say someone is suggesting. You're saying a professor at Harvard is suggesting it.
E
His name's, like, Avi Loeb. Yes. He's an astronomer.
A
Now, Drew, you seem to know something about this.
B
Oh, yeah. I even brought this up one day while you were out to let everyone know that we do have a ship approaching.
A
When we say approaching, it's coming here.
C
Yeah.
B
They even have, like, a time frame of when it'll be near.
A
When do they think it's getting here?
B
I'll have to look it back up. It's been a while. I just saw they added Kim Kardashian to the research team, which kind of. Kind of took a hit for our pr.
A
I don't know if that helps the case, making that you're. You're making that up. They added Kim Kardashian to the research team?
B
Yeah. What does that mean? That means exactly how it sounds. That's not great. It's not great for our pr.
A
Wait, who.
B
Who.
A
Hang on just a second. Who added her to the team?
B
Avi Loeb, I believe is his name. The guy. The guy.
A
The college professor at Harvard added Kim Kardashian to the research.
D
He's losing credibility here as of yesterday.
A
Just for the record, Shannon, I did not believe in it to begin with, but if this dude added Kim Kardashian, then I'm out.
C
Yeah.
B
All right, I shouldn't have brought that up. Let's focus on the matter at hand. This thing is not moving like a normal comet.
A
It's taking turns. That's a pretty big. I think that's a pretty big factor, but go ahead.
D
Katy Perry at least has been to space.
C
Why not sign her up?
A
Yeah, well, listen, why isn't Skilo in part of the research team too? All right, go ahead, finish what you were saying, Drew. What's. What's the story about is NASA says.
B
It'S a comet, but other people, like my guy Avi. Avi. And now Kim Kardashian, who I'll leave out of this. They have noticed. It's. It's turning and doing things comments aren't supposed to do. So there. There are people making the case that, hey, this might not be a comment. This.
A
When's supposed to get here? When's it supposed to get?
B
Let me see. When it's.
A
I mean, I feel like that's a pretty big piece of information. Or is it?
B
I think if you watch the new season of Keeping up with Kardashians, they might say when it's coming. Here we go. When will it pass Earth? I guess. There we go.
D
In here. December.
A
December 19th this year.
D
Yeah, yeah.
A
Okay.
D
Right before.
A
Can I make a prediction? Can I make a prediction?
C
Yes.
A
On December 19, nothing will have happened. How's that? Does he want to take that bet?
C
No.
A
Does anyone want to be the person that says on December 19th something's going to happen?
D
No.
B
When you say something, what do you mean? I don't think it's we're going to get hit with a laser or anything.
A
Well, what are you thinking is going to happen?
D
I don't know.
B
I'm waiting for Kim to tell me. She just got on the team yesterday. Give her some time. Matt.
A
Wait a minute. Hang on just a second. She guys just got on the team yesterday.
B
I'm pretty sure I saw this on Twitter.
A
Why did they put her on the team? What was their reasoning?
B
The headline here says alien Comet. Excuse me? Alien Comet investigator wants Kim Kardashian to join research team.
C
Why?
B
For a potentially hostile comet? Maybe if there is another life form, we need someone to speak for our planet.
A
No.
C
Who else?
B
Who else is out here?
A
You don't get. She does not get to speak for the planet. What do you want?
B
Kindle?
A
Lovely person. Courtney.
B
It's gotta be Kim.
A
Bruce Jenner. Caitlyn Jenner is who I would say should serious about this.
B
I'm on new york post.com which I know it's got some wacky stuff.
A
That's fan. I'll take that. You're telling me that they've added Kim Kardashian to the Harvard professor? For real? Added Kim Kardashian to the.
B
Here you go. World News. It's labeled world news. 11-04-2025 01:33pm headline, Kim Kardashian invited to join research team for 3I Atlas Comet which scientists fear could contain alien life.
A
Okay, but what is their reason for adding her?
B
Like, why would they keep up with the comet? We keep up with the Kardashians. Now we need the Kardashians to keep up with comet. We got a reality show here.
A
I'm going to have to read this when this is over because this sounds like I believe Drew. I think Drew, unlike Ryan, knows how to sort through fake news.
B
Shannon, I don't love the Kim part. The Kim part is not good.
A
This is. Come on, stop.
C
Maybe Kim Kardashians watch the skies.
B
There's some funny business going on.
A

D
It says no impact. Nothing will happen.
B
Well, that's what NASA says. But my guy Avi says this thing, it's the size of Manhattan and it's coming right for us. And it turns, it might even have lights.
A
All right.
B
And Kim K is going to get to the bottom of it.
A
Hey, we will see you tomorrow. Cats get a big win over Nichols. This has been Kentucky sports radio.
