The the game last night with Kansas Fog Allen looked amazing, Drew. I mean, the place was wild. Couple things. That's the best environment in college basketball, right? I don't want to say it, but I think it's true.

I've now been there three times. All three were probably the best atmospheres I've seen.

[Matt Jones]

Okay, I agree with you. So that's unfortunate. Not much we can do about that. It's part of the, you know, they put all those students there. We're never going to check. UK is never going to change. We can complain about it all we want. They're just not going to do it.

[Ryan]

Their little chant, even if you hate it when you're in there and they do it, it's one of the cooler things.

[Matt Jones]

Basketball. That's the best environment. What do you make of the fact that their best player said I have the flu after he went through warmups and then said, I have the flu. I can't play.

[Ryan]

And this is two weeks removed from halftime of. Was it byu, where the AD goes and talks to him on the bench and kind of has to convince him to play.

[Matt Jones]

He listen. He is a superstar. But they went and won without him. And that's two games in a row. That's two games this year where he is begged out. I'm not saying he doesn't have the flu, but he's had a constant issue. There are rumors out the wazoo about him.

[Ryan]

There was a video where someone's typing a text.

[Matt Jones]

Did you see that?

[Ryan]

Real the Kansas Sid came out and said something. They were like, that person does not work for us.

[Matt Jones]

Okay, they wouldn't have. There's a video out there, Shannon, where a guy's typing a text where he goes, darren Peterson told the team, blah blah blah. And then Self said something back to him and he goes, blanket, I'm not playing.

[Ryan]

Then I guess sitting on the stats.

[Matt Jones]

Row with a Kansas thing on, let's.

[Shannon]

See, he's a superstar. So you're in that situation where like he's kind of got you at your mercy.

[Matt Jones]

But then they won without him. Right. And Bill Self said it was the best home win of his career because they won without him, beating a great team without him. So I mean, you're not going to tell him no, don't come back. But he does seem like a little bit of a. Oh yeah, difficult thing.

[Ryan]

My main takeaway is I'm glad it's at Kansas and not here because we've already had Shaden and a couple others that's been a little questionable. This one seems over the top. Like you don't know till tip off if he's going to play or not. It's kind of like, what mood is Darren in today? I hope he plays. And for Kansas, in a roster like that, their goals win a title. I don't know if you, even though they have won that game last night, you can't just keep having the how you feeling today? You're going to give us any minutes that can't work and hopefully the sport can clean this up. And this doesn't become consistent with top guys.

[Matt Jones]

Well, but I mean you're not going to be able to stop it. They're going to have to do whatever they're going to do, what they do. You just have to be careful who you recruit because like you're not. There's nothing the NCAA can do to legislate that. So Arizona lose. So we have one undefeated team left and it's Miami of Ohio. All right, Shannon. Miami of Ohio is 84th in the Kim Palm. If they were to, let's say their record wasn't 24. No. If they were 84th in the Kim Palm, they would not get an at large bid to the tournament. There's a world where they go undefeated, go into the Mac tournament and lose and their kin palm and their RPI will be so low that they actually wouldn't make the tournament. But the NCAA could still let him in. But on objective resume, if you took away their record, they probably wouldn't make the tournament. So here's my Question for you. If their Ken Palm is not good enough to make it, but they went undefeated in the regular season but. But intentionally did not schedule any good team in the non conference. They didn't play one good team. Would you let them in at 31 and oh and give them incentive to play a bad schedule but also note that they went undefeated?

[Shannon]

No. No. You're judging every team exactly the same. If you're using the Ken Palm to decide if a team should be in the tournament and I don't care what your record is, if those are the CR like the criteria that you're using, then everybody's got to play by the same rules. So you keep them out, we keep them out. If it doesn't line up with the rest of the teams that you're letting.

[Matt Jones]

In, would you keep them out? Yep. At undefeated.

[Ryan]

Fun story. I don't think they've played a team in the top 85.

[Matt Jones]

They have not played. They played no power conference teams and they've. The best team they played in their non conference was ranked 146th.

[Ryan]

Yeah. So I mean it's cool you're winning. It's fun to follow but like we can't give incentive for teams to just go out and schedule everyone outside the top 100 and hope they run the table. Rules are rules. And if your resume isn't good and you don't win your conference tournament, enjoy your undefeated regular season. But that doesn't mean you get an invite.

Your five minute punishments over. Go ahead.

I think I would let them in. Even if they go undefeated and then lose in the conference tournament, I think you still let that team because you still had to go undefeated in your conference play which is tough to go on the road and win these conference games.

But do you want to make the rule that if you go undefeated in the regular season you're guaranteed to be in the tournament?

I think in this situation you do.

And they wouldn't have gone undefeated in their conference if they don't win the conference tournament.

They would have lost in the conference.

The conference regular season, you go undefeated. I think that still says something.

I'm going to predict that's what's going to happen.

I'm going to predict they're going to go undefeated and they're going to lose in the conference term. And there's going to be a great debate.

As to whether or not you let them in and everybody's going to have Shannon strong passionate sides.

Is it cool that they're the Last undefeated team even though they haven't played anybody.

If you're not playing anybody, what does that even mean? Like if Kentucky just played Trinity, Trinity Christian, who they beat 129 to 49 earlier this year. Miami, Ohio. I'm talking about. If Kentucky just played teams like that, then what would it mean if you're.

[Matt Jones]

We would be undefeated with this.

[Shannon]

That's what I'm saying.

Like we. We. Actually, I think you could make an argument that maybe outside of South Carolina, every single team in the SEC would be undefeated with that skill.

So I pulled it up. They beat a team called Mercyhurst by five. Don't know what that means.

This is something to watch because I'm going to bet that's my prediction. I don't know if you can bet this on DraftKings. It's a good prediction, but my prediction is they go undefeated and then they lose in the conference tournament and then what happens?

You could put them right there in Dayton in the playing game and be one of the best environments of the.

[Matt Jones]

But right now, on the field of 68 bracketology, they have us playing them in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

[Ryan]

Ohio, bring it on.

I want them to come in as a six. Them is an 11.

[Ryan]

That's one of those. That's. We think about Kentucky getting hosed with their seating. That's one that would screw the other team.

[Matt Jones]

Oh, it's like Wichita State. Wichita, classic example of Ohio is undefeated and then they draw us in the first round. First round of the tournament.

Preseason top 10 team.

I saw that. So we're going back to the moon. We haven't gone to the moon in a long time and now we're going back 72. I'm for it. I don't know why we stopped going to the moon.

Well, those people are stupid. We went.

We feels like we should be way far more into the moon. I saw Elon say that we can live on the moon in five years. Slow down, dude. You told me I was living on Mars three years ago.

I like how he just changes it, but you know Mars. No, we're moving to the moon now. But I feel like we shouldn't have stopped. Like we were going so good with.

The question is, what are we building there first?

On the pace we're on. Probably a casino. Probably a vape shop. Dollar General storage units.

Eastern Kentucky. All right, so let's say with. Let's say Eastern Kentucky gets the moon first. Mexican restaurant.

Easily Walmart. Lots of vape shops, lots of ape.

That's everywhere. They were all tobacco warehouse, multiple fast foods. Right.

And I don't know what happens in these little small towns in eastern Kentucky, but every kind of shop closes except auto shops. Auto parts stores are everywhere. You can't get rid of auto Parts stores.

So that's why we're going to the moon.

We're going to build auto parts.

And I was like, yeah, but it's close. Come on, guys. And then they hit the home stretch. And this dude Bjorn, I honestly thought he was a machine. Yeah, he started moving. I didn't know hands could move that fast. And he left the others in the dust. And at the end, Shannon, he crossed the finish line backwards talking to the crowd. He had such a big.

Andy Kaufman is. Was, to me, brilliant. One of the sweetest things Larry ever did. I've said this before. College football, I mean, Indiana, what an amazing story that was. I think college sports, I have the controversial view. They're better now than they've ever been. You, you might want to. I enjoy the chaos, maybe you don't, so ignore it. But when the games start, Drew, they're awesome. The standard of play is so much higher in college basketball than it was 10 years ago.

In this year, especially in college basketball, there are so many stars. We're usually lucky to have two or three guys that are, you know, top.

Of the top of the top.

This year they seem to be, you know, especially the freshmen. We've got close to 10 elite freshmen scattered across the country that are fun to watch every night.

So two quick things for all the crazy moon landing deniers out there. One solid fact is that America's biggest geopolitical adversaries, including Russia and China, both agree that American boots were on the moon. They photographed the sites. Why would, why would our biggest enemies, even when they have everything to gain from denying it, even agree with us that they've landed on the moon? Second, just a mind blowing fact was that the, the phone in your pocket had more computing power than the lunar module that put American boots on the ground.

Now that is what's impressive to me that that is the thing and I appreciate the call. That's the thing that always makes blows my mind about going to the moon is that we did it back then. Right?

And comparing the phone, that model, it's not even close. This is like hundreds of thousand times faster and smarter than what they had back then.

Which is why, Shannon, we could have. Should have kept going. Why did we stop?
