Or we could talk about how the KSR golf scramble, Mario pointed a golf gun at someone accidentally and nearly and acted inappropriately. I kind of want, I don't know,

Quickly, it's your show. Quickly. Shannon. It was a KSR scramble. It went great. Probably the smoothest one we've had in terms of like beautiful weather, not long waits on the course, like happens sometimes, just the right mix of activities and like alcohol for the people that want it. And like all the thing, like everything. And on my course, Shannon, they had one of these, what do you call them, Drew, where you shoot a golf ball 350 yards in the air.

So it's Like a golf ball cannon.

Probably comes on high velocity, I would imagine.

Oh, yes, for sure. And if you like, it went to, like, multiple sclerosis. So if you used it, if you gave, like, $40, all of your team got to hit it, and it was a par five, and you're basically getting a 400 yard drive.

So everybody's doing it, and you get to shoot it. Well, Mario comes by, apparently, I hear Shannon, they hand him the gun. And I mean, this is. Think about the velocity you got to have in there to get it. 400 yards.

Mario just immediately points it at Paul.

Not a gun. No, I don't know anything about guns, but there's one rule I know about guns. Don't point it at a person.

Every gun's a loaded gun.

Mario with a golf ball, that would have done damage. He could have decapitated Paul.

That would have really done damage. Yeah. And apparently the guy running it goes, put that down, Mario.

Maybe so. Of course they have all those people come through, and it's great. And who almost messes it up? Margarita Mario here. So thankfully, that didn't. I did like it. It was great. You would fire the ball, and you felt so powerful when you hit it that far, even though you had nothing to do with it.

Sounds like a fun little gimmick. They had it on your. Didn't have it on my course.

On your course. I'm sorry they didn't have. But it was a great day. Thank you to everybody for coming. Like I said, I think that one ran about as smoothly as any of them. Obviously, Ryan made his appearance before. That was nice. And yeah, a lot of learned about a lot of new drinks out there. Everybody's got their way of mixing stuff. And, you know, I learned about jobs. People do, you know, wow, big day. Well, I mean, like, what would be like, a guy. And they'll be like, I do bathroom tile.

And I go, well, I don't. I don't have a bathroom tile guy. So now I guess I got you.

The highlight for me was on the third hole they had. It was called the stretch lab. And all they did was stretch you. That was the best stretch I've gotten in years.

So it's hard for me. I have a hard time getting, like, super worked up about UK Baseball. Cause I don't want to be. It's. It's kind of. I don't know. What is it they call when people act like they want a medal in the military and then they stolen valor. Stolen valor. I feel like it's stolen baseball valor in the sense of I don't watch all the games, so I feel like it's a little hypocritical for me to come in. In the playoffs and then just go, what's being Gion doing? Like, I feel like that's a little. You know, I'm with you because, like, if you had asked me how many players I could name, I knew that we had Jackson Jelkin, I knew Tyler Bell, and I knew we had, like, a Van Cleave.

Cleaver.

See, I knew.

Exactly. The point being, it feels a little stolen valor to just all of a sudden have these strong views. But this is the weekend where I get strong views. And, you know, college baseball is an absolute circus.

I have. This has become a really good TV weekend, the one that just happened, because it's a circus. It's like the NCAA tournament was in basketball maybe, you know, in the 90s and early 2000s. And in the sense that you just turn these games on and you're like, milwaukee is beating Auburn by 10, and the game's never over. The. The gate can be 11 to nothing, and teams come back, never over. As we learn over in the games last seven to eight hours. It's an investment all of them. You know, UCLA is number one overall. See, they're already out. They lost a St. Mary's Shannon not once, but twice.

[Shannon]

That's right. Yeah. Never. You know, so Florida, I believe, is out, too.

[Matt Jones]

No, I think Florida's in. They play. They, they, they play. I don't know, but somebody's in, somebody's out. The point is lost teams. Yeah, it sounds like Mike, Mike, Mike, Francesca. You know, somebody wins, may loses, but. So I just sit there and watch. It's just a circus. And then, you know, guys, there's a combination of dudes who are going to play in the majors and then who are going to be. Go like, be Carpenters next week. Guys make errors. Lots of errors. Lots of errors. Lots of walks.

The umpires make errors.

Oh, the umpires have some calls where it's like, can we get the ABs for the playoffs? Because some of these guys, it looks like they've never called anything.

They had it in Hoover. And I think everyone kind of liked it. Went pretty well with the challenges.

[Matt Jones]

Have it in Morgantown or in many other places. I saw. And you know, our team of also has, like, Shannon, a circus quality to it. Like, our guys are out there doing cartwheels and juggling and, you know, I mean, one dude did. He did. I see one of our players had like a. A radio microphone created out of Gatorade cup yesterday. Did you see that?

When it comes to that stuff, we. We lead all of college baseball. A lot of teams hate us for that. I mean, it was the pink bucket hats for a long time.

[Matt Jones]

Yeah, well, I think you can get over it. I enjoy it. I think the kids like it. Okay. But then we get to the game and, you know, we're up. I. I watch, I turn it on. I see we were up, what, three. Nothing. Then it was three. Three, six or six. Three, then six. Six. When we hit the two home runs to go up nine. Six, which I believe was in the seventh inning, I started to go, okay, maybe we're going to do this. But then I remember, like, these games are never over, ever. Nobody has a closer. Nobody just given the lead.

Us having a lead gave me more anxiety than it was when you get to the playoffs.

[Matt Jones]

They put people in who haven't played in six months. It's the wildest thing. They'll be like, here comes Frank. Frank last played for Morehead in 2007. Like, how's he coming out of the bull? Biggest moment of the season. Biggest moment of the season. And you just know where his glove is.

Oh, man, I felt bad on the ball.

The ball didn't the tie and run,

I don't know. So let's just start with again. So all of that's a long lead in to say like, I don't. I'm not trying to act like I know what I'm talking about. So I'm speaking of this from a point of ignorance. But why didn't they bring in Jelkin? If they're going to warm him up and tease us, why wouldn't you just go ahead and put him in?

I don't know. You're. You need three outs to go to the supers and as you said, now probably host the supers because UCLA got upset.

Well, I never talk about that too because that's a weird thing about college baseball. But go ahead.

But I mean, you need three outs. Your ace is warming up. I get that maybe you want to save him if things go wrong for tonight, but it's joking. Go get three outs. You got a three ring. I know.

I was surprised. Just let him pitch like I get. Okay, we'll hold him for tomorrow. But if. What is the better chance to win your ace one inning up three or a whole new game?

The next day, Adam Luckett was there for us and asked Mingo in the press conference. And I wish we had gotten a better answer. He smiled, said no comment, but you kind of need to explain what happened there. He said he had a game plan.

Boone, who balked and gave up the two run home.

Okay, so I was cool. Shannon. I understood letting the one guy keep going because he had been pitching so well. What was his name? Guy with that been pitching so well.

And he should have gotten the first out. It's not his fault. The guy let it go through his leg.

I mean, he just sidestepped it. The third baseman. It was a routine ground ball. Should have been one out.

That was as bad as the ball.

Routine ground ball. And by the way, I knew when he did that we were losing.

I mean, let's just look at what's on the table for him. What's on the table for Milan is become the highest paid player in the history of Kentucky basketball. Become probably one of the three to four highest paid players in the history of college basketball. You're being asked to essentially start. You've got a chance to be whatever you want, right? Like, you could be as good as you are. You will have the chance to be that good next year. If you choose not to do that, then you didn't want to come here, and that's okay.
