Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. This is Eva Longoria from Hungary for history with Eva Longoria and Maite Gomez rejoning. Like the song says, it's the most wonderful time of the year and also a wonderfully busy one. All that merriment can weigh down even Santa's sleigh. So keep it wonderful by keeping yourself wonderful with a crisp, cold Coca Cola. Ah, pause for fizzy joy. Look out for yourself and then look out for everyone else. And together we'll make this season as wonderful as it's meant to be. Enjoy a Coca Cola refresh your holidays. Well, well, well. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Grandpa's and grandma's, aunts and uncles. I almost swallowed my gum there, I think. Welcome to the local Torres KSR postgame show. I mean, it's been a rough Couple days in Big Blue Nation, right? I mean, after the North Carolina loss a week ago tonight and then the Gonzaga loss on Friday, it's, it's, it's been a rough couple of days, but mission accomplished tonight. Kentucky needed a feel good win. They needed to win by a lot. They needed to score a lot of points. They got it done. 103, 67, although they didn't cover, Billy, only 36 points. They didn't cover.
C
That was a hell of a spread, though.
A
What was it, 45, 45 Kentucky Wildcats. You know, I think a lot of fans just wanted them to play with some effort. They did. They wanted to play with some heart. They did. They wanted to play with some passion. They did. They wanted to shoot the ball well. They did. They want to hit some threes. They did. I mean, you can check a lot of boxes off in the game tonight, but it really doesn't matter if they don't play well on Saturday. I mean, Saturday is the one. Like we even had this question on the pregame show. What could they even do tonight to get the fan base back on board to change their attitude about what they've seen the last couple of weeks? And Billy, I think it's, it comes down to Saturday. They cannot let Indiana come in here on Saturday, Rupp arena, and beat them and bully him around like we've, they've done to North Carolina and Michigan State and Gonzaga especially, just kind of bully him around. They can't do that. They need to show some toughness. So even though they got a big win tonight, I think a lot of fans are. We'll find out here when they open up the phone lines. 859-280-2287. I think a lot of fans are still. Well, it was just North Carolina Central, you know. When you gonna do it against one of the big boys? When you gonna do it against him? Indiana Hoosiers.
C
And you know better than anybody being from Indiana, right? You can't lose to the Hoosiers.
A
Cannot. I mean, when I was growing up, this was the game, the marquee game every year was Kentucky Indiana. You know, we go way back where Bob Knight kind of smacked Joby hall in the back of the head. And the game in 75, when Indiana was undefeated and Kentucky beat him, you know, if you go way back. But then when I got in the media, Billy, I started covering the Kentucky Indiana game when they had it at the Hoosier Dome. Oh, it was awesome. Half red, half blue, Calbert Cheney, Damon Bailey for Indiana, Jamal Mashburn Travis Ford for UK it was awesome. Those games were incredible. I wanted to get back that. But you know Indiana's not been here. Heard Chris labar say since 2010 long drought not having the pajama wearing Hoosiers here. By the way I got my pajamas on.
C
Did you know you do have your pajama pants on. But appreciate you coming in again.
A
Ryan called out of the bullpen. You had to make some you know some changes again. We're still juggling some chairs. Playing musical chairs with me. Everything so. But look you know not a lot of folks were there tonight. If you saw the pictures. Rubbering was not crowded. I think it's just again the apathy that's growing over this team and what they've seen the last couple of weeks with these big time games. This was not a big time game but yet they played pretty well. You heard Pope say after the. After the game they didn't play great defensively but they did a lot of things offensively he was happy with. I mean. Go ahead. You want to say something?
C
Oh just that Pope was pissed at halftime. His halftime interview. It was just all about the defensive breakdowns that they had. But Ryan you got to think they sent some messages tonight.
A
Right?
C
The whole thing with Brandon Garrison has to be in encouraging. Don't you think?
A
Let's get to that. That's the one be the one main talking point I think everybody will probably go on talk about. Brandon Garrison turned the ball over and while the ball was going to the other end of the floor for an easy layup he's loafing jogging down the floor after he's wanted made a bad decision. Turned it over in the lane and then he loafs down the floor. Mark Pope to his credit he's been getting a lot of slack lately. Coach called a timeout and got into Brandon Garrison. Matter of fact if you had people say he used that whole timeout do nothing but chew on Brandon Garrison I think that was sending a direct message. And how many minutes to Brandon Garrison play after that? Billy? I think 000 minutes after that send a message we're not going to accept that's unacceptable. That stuff we saw against Gonzaga loafing down the floor from all of some of those guys. Not going to happen anymore or you're not going to play. Now there was also something kind of interesting. Cam Williams didn't come in until 12 minutes left in the game after it was like a 35 point game. He did not play at all the first half. Didn't play much in the second half, nobody says anything, but I think that was a message sent also because if you remember back in the second half of the Gonzaga game, Cam Williams was one of those guys that didn't play. He got in the doghouse, probably for effort, lack of effort. He didn't play. So Trent Noah gets his start. Back in the starting lineup. What's he do? Boom, three pointer. Couple minutes later, boom, another three pointer. He had three threes in the first half. That's the Trent Noah we thought we were going to have all season. Maybe welcome back Trent Noah. Maybe he's finally over the injury. Maybe he's got his confidence back. And Billy, I thought he was one of the highlights of the game.
C
Yeah. Pope said afterwards, Trent isn't a perfect player, but he gives everything he has. And I kind of feel like that's what Pope is prioritizing right now. Maybe the gu that give effort compared to maybe just being more talented than somebody else.
A
And he made a point. The first person he complimented tonight was Colin Chandler. And why? Because he had eight assists. He also had seven points and five rebounds, but he had eight assists. I think this last couple days they've spent nothing but teammate teamwork. Do it for your teammate, look for your teammate, help your brother.
And I think Colin Chandler took that to heart. And Pope made a point as soon as he came out tonight to talk about that.
C
Well, after the game, several players made it a point to say that there weren't any off the floor issues. Trent Noah, Jasper Johnson and Ortega away addressing that directly. So that message is probably coming across loud and clear right now. Pope also had another concerning quote, Ryan, tell me what you think about this. He said we don't know how to compete yet, which is terrifying.
A
Yeah, here we are. We're what, we're 10 games into the season and he's saying they don't know how to compete yet. That's a, that's a little alarm bells a little bit right there, I think. But what about our three Kentucky guys tonight? We already mentioned about Trent Noah, 11.6 rebounds. Malachi Marino 14 points, seven rebounds. And how about Jasper? Yeah, 22 points in only 19 minutes. Perfect from the foul line. Hit his three point shot, did the job, run the point. He, I think earned some, some confidence points from Coach Pope running the point. That allows Denzel Aberdeen to move over to the two where he's more comfortable. Anyway, I think, I think they would like for Jasper to be the number two point guard. I just, I just think they. That would be a better compliment to everybody else if they can make him the point guard guy. But he had an awesome game tonight so. And he was, you know, very which I'm looking for in the post game interview with Jack. He was very mature and the stuff he was saying I thought with Jack and thought obviously his career high. But I think it's just a glimpse of what that kid can become.
C
Yeah, I gotta see him do it against better competition before I feel more comfortable with him. But Goose hit on this a lot in the radio broadcast talking about creating habits. You know this is a game to build some momentum and just see the ball go through the basket. But if you do it during the games versus North Carolina Central then it won't be you just trying to start something new in a game that actually does matter. So this was an important game but takeaways from it by based on guys performance. Besides Zach Tow, you know, I'm not really sure.
A
Zach tow. Drew called it again on the pregame show last week he called the Walker horn bucket. The Walker of Horn 3. Today on the pregame show he called the Zach Towel 3 Zach Tow Madisonville. Drew is your hero. Well, you're Drew's hero. Great call by Drew though, don't you think?
C
Oh yeah, yeah. He's. You probably would have won a little money on DraftKings if you would have made that bet tonight, if that was ever listed. But you know the takeaway tonight will probably be the Brandon Garrison stuff.
A
Don't you think that's that's gonna be the big talking point? Because I think one it's going to send the message to everybody else. We all saw it. The TV cameras picked it up. As soon as they called that timeout, Pope went and got into him, got into his face really with sit down. And then he spent the whole TV time out chewing on him. Needed to be done. Because what we saw against Gonzaga was unacceptable. No heart gutless performance. He wasn't the only one against Gonzaga, but he's the only one who did it tonight. And he said he's but on the bench And I guess we need to say a big welcome back to Ortega away. Welcome back Ortega. Where you been? We missed you. I mean the dude is driving to the basket, hitting threes, playing great defense, had seven rebounds. That's why he was preseason conference of the year now. Yeah, it was just North Carolina Central but it was good to see glimpses of the old away again coming back. Didn't you think so?
C
Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely right. That guy has to be playing like that against all the teams for Kentucky to have a chance this year.
A
So now's your turn. 859-280-2287, 8592 at oh, cats. Call and talk to Billy. He's here with me tonight as Kentucky wins by 36 points. 103, 67. Next up, those good for nothing stinking canvas Converse tobacco chewing Indiana Hoosiers. They're killing Penn State tonight. They're up like by 30. Are they? So they're going to be like 8 and 2 coming into the game. Yeah, they were up by 30 last time. I had a check on it. You'll get a score update for we go to the break. What is it?
C
I don't know.
A
Oh, there it is right there.
C
There it is.
A
No, that's Ohio. Iu. Ohio State. You went past the Penn State game.
C
Oh, I thought we were talking about IU.
A
Yeah, they're playing Penn State right there.
C
We got two IU games on right now.
A
81 to 30 something. Is that what that said?
C
It kind of went to a replay right as we went to it.
A
So Indiana come in riding a big win just like Kentucky. Lamar Wilkerson, 81 to 34. My God, almost 50 points. All right, we'll take our break. Come back. 859-280-287. Ryan and Billy on the local Total Leaders KSR Postgame Show. Welcome back local to Leaders KSR Postgame Show. Ryan and Billy here tonight. Matt still dealing with his family issues with his father. So keep him, keep layering your prayers. I do want to also say that there was an awful incident on the campus of Kentucky State University this afternoon where there was a shooting. One person was killed. One is last I saw was in critical condition. They do have the suspect in custody from the shootings, but the campus was on lockdown for quite a while.
Kind of hit close to home when it hits Kentucky State just right on the road in Frankfurt. So keep those victims in your prayers as well. 859-280-2287. Who we got, Bill? Who's our first call?
C
Let's lead off with Chris.
A
Chris, go ahead, Chris.
B
Hey, Ryan. I kind of feel like Frank Pope showed up to coach tonight and I'm all for it.
A
You know, I don't mind calling him Frank Pope. He did kind of show a little temper, got a little fire in his belly and I think that's what this team need, don't you?
B
Yeah, we need a lot of that moving forward.
A
Well, I appreciate it, Chris. Yeah, it was kind of good to see a little spark from Pope, if nothing else, just how he handled that situation with Brandon Garrison and then the halftime interview, you could tell here they were up by 20 points and he was not a happy camper.
C
Well, it was kind of a close game for the first ten minutes or so.
A
It was.
C
And they turned it on, so. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. How your coach should be handling a game versus UNC Central. Right.
A
And you know, he was so upset with the. The defense, but yet one of the things he bragged on about Ortega away was not his 21 points, not his 7 rebounds, but his defense on the. Their. Their star player. He held him to like 1 of 10 shooting, I thinks, in the first half. And he credited Ortega for doing that.
C
Yeah. Big night for Ote to get on the right track again. Hopefully.
A
Who's next?
C
Skyler.
A
Skyler, Go ahead, Skyler.
B
Hey, Ryan. Billy. Great job on the postgame show with Gonzaga. Yeah, kudos to Billy for that.
A
Billy did a good job.
C
Thank you. Appreciate it.
B
Yeah, you did, you did. I didn't watch the game, but I'm listening to you guys talk about the game. I watched the post game interview, heard about some of the clips that happened, and my gut feeling is, of course, Mark Pope shows passion when we're playing NC Central. Of course he chews out Brandon Garrison, the guy that everybody in our fan base has been picking on this whole season. Of course, it again, to me, feels performative, and I don't know if that's true or not. I feel like he's trying. He's grasping for straws and he's playing to the fan base a little bit. I'm not calling him inauthentic. I just think he is lost and. And needs some help finding his way. I'll hang up and listen.
A
All right, Scott. Appreciate it. I'm going to disagree with Skyer. Skyler. I think that was genuine tonight. I think they just decided after that Gonzaga bullied him around and beat him down so bad with such a gutless performance. Pope and the rest of the coaches got together and decided, look, we are going to play with effort, we are going to play with energy, and if you don't, you ain't going to play. I really think it rubbed off on the guys that the coaches have now taken that attitude. And the thing is, now they have to stay with it. If they see Ortega loafing down the floor against Indiana like he did against Gonzaga, you got to get him out, you know, you got to be consistent with it now. Don't you agree?
C
Yeah, I guess. Pope has gone through the Five stages of grief, just like we all have, whether it be denial and. And then now anger. I guess that where we're seeing anger now. Yeah. So I guess we'll see. What, what are the other ones? I don't even know.
A
Acceptance. What are the five stages of grief?
C
Bargaining, depression, acceptance. Those are the other three. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
A
So he's in the anger phase right now.
C
Well, remember he was as shocked as we were in these press conferences, not saying a word.
A
Yeah.
C
Now he's angry.
A
Now he's angry. But he came out and talked to Tom Leach and the crowd. So he was probably acceptance. I think at that point.
C
Well, he probably just fed up.
A
Right.
C
Like you. You only can do it so often until you're. You've got a man up. That was your advice, right? Remember, in the locker room after the good second game.
A
Man up.
C
Man up.
A
And nobody is going to really can change their mind. I don't think completely about this team until they go out and beat Indiana on Saturday and then that. You know how they do against Rick Pitino and St. John's the following Saturday. They can't get bullied around and thumped by those two teams. They've got to come out and win those games, not just for the fan base, but to keep that locker room engaged as well. Who's next?
C
Let's go to Aaron.
A
Aaron. Go ahead, Aaron.
B
Hey, guys. Prayers to Matt's dad and thank you, Kentucky State today.
A
Yeah, thank you.
B
So, I mean, we, we hear about motivated Mark Stoops. I think we need a motivated Mark Pope.
I mean, he's down on himself like, like fans when we lose, but, like, that's not what we need. We, we need a motivated. We got a prime example. We got to keep Jasper Johnson in the game. It seems like if we leave him in the game, it gets hot. But lately, before today, he wasn't really getting minutes and he really didn't get that many minutes tonight either. We. We got to get him in the game.
A
All right, Aaron, appreciate it. You know, I've been, I've been on the. The Jasper Johnson bandwagon from day one. I've known John Jasper since he was a little kid. He's super talented. He's a. I think he's a superstar in the making. But I was getting some pushback for some people. Like, man, you got to quit praising Jasper Johnson. He was going through some learning mistakes, some learning and a learning curve about college basketball and stepping up and maybe shooting the right, taking the shot at the right time. You Know, he can get in the lane. He can. The thing about him as a point guard, he can get in the lane and distribute the basketball, but sometimes he gets down there in no man's land and then has to force up a bad shot. I think, like Jack even said that tonight on the post game show, Jack Evans did said, man, you're just. You're growing and you're learning each time out. And I think we saw a big step up today in the fact of him not just as a scorer, but as a point guard tonight. That's what I was most impressed with.
C
And Cal was just worried about getting those freshmen to play well at the end of the season. Yeah, right. And so this is going to be a learning curve for him, a learning process. Last year, it was a ton of seniors on the roster. With Pope, it's very different this year.
A
Who's next? Billy?
C
Let's go to Connor.
A
Connor, go ahead. Connor.
B
Hey. Hey. Also Prayers and Matt's dad. And then the Kentucky State situation, also with Pope, I. I don't believe it was performative because if anybody paid attention, Brandon Garrison had turned the ball over and then didn't get back to try to contest the shot. And then Pope immediately called a timeout and got into him. So I think that was authentic, 100%. But I think that he has to do that a lot more. I mean, even last year he had everybody saying that, you know, he needed to get a little bit more angry and all that good stuff. I don't necessarily, you know, stay angry, but just to get into them more often. But.
Hopefully we'll show up against Indiana because if it don't go good against Indiana, it's going to be a lot worse than it is.
A
Yep. Appreciate it, Connor. Yeah, I agree with everything Connor said. You know, we talked about the Brandon Garrison incident. Pope immediately calls the timeout, immediately gets in into him, spends the whole time out getting into him. That not just sends a message to Brandon Garrison, that sends a message to everybody else in that huddle. Look, we are not going to play like that anymore. You guys embarrassed me. You embarrassed yourselves. You embarrassed our fans against Gonzaga. That is not going to happen anymore.
C
Well, that needed to happen four games ago.
A
It should have.
C
So I'm glad it is.
A
It should have happening. Maybe you had to hit. They had to hit rock bottom for. To finally reach that point. But then, you know, Pope ended his press conference with Tom Lee tonight. Like, look, we are a really good basketball team. You're going to be really, really proud of this team. We are going to get it right, and you're going to be very proud of what we're going to accomplish this year. And he. He believes that. I don't know if our fans believe that yet, but Pope definitely believes that. Who's next?
C
We'll take one more and take a break. Let's go to Kyle.
A
Kyle, go ahead, Kyle.
B
Hey, Ryan. Just wanted to say, first of all, Matt, we're thinking about your buddy. We in the state of Kentucky, we're all one big family.
A
Yep.
B
We all. We all have your back, brother, and everything at the school. Today, Kentucky stands together. And Kentucky's strong.
A
Yep. For sure.
B
Brian, this is. This is you. This is you and I talking. Right. There's nobody else listening.
A
No. Just you and me. You can say whatever you want. It won't get out.
B
Let me. Let me tell you one thing about being a Kentucky fan that drives me off the wall, is that whenever we lost those games, and don't get me wrong, it's been. It's been horrible. But we get down on Mark Pope and we say, oh, he's. He. He doesn't have answers. He doesn't know what he's doing. And we ask him to bring more energy and bring more fight and bring something else to this team that we haven't seen. And then tonight, he. He benches Brandon Garrison and he goes out and he has this passion that we've been asking for. And then the first two callers are calling saying, it's performative. I don't believe in it. None of us have ever been in that arena. And Mark Pope is. He knows what the pressure is at Kentucky, and I trust my coach. And so, I mean, I get it. I know we got to be Indiana. I know it's been terrible. But, I mean, come on, guys. Last year, we were praising them for taking us to the Sweet 16 with a group of nobody. Let's give the guy a chance to do his job and to do it well, because nobody cares as much as Mark Pope does about the Kentucky basketball team being great. And that's what frustrates me about this fan base. Let's get together and let's get behind our guy and let's do this thing.
A
Dude, there you go. Kyle, great phone call. Outstanding phone call. Appreciate it. You know, you're right. I think Cameron Mill said on the pregame show, mark Pope did not forget how to coach. Not after doing what he did last year with that ragtag group of guys he threw together last year. He did not forget how to coach going into this Season. I think they had some chemistry issues on the court. I think they had some roster of things they had to figure out. But I think maybe, maybe we're finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
C
Well, he's starting to say the right things.
A
Yes.
C
You got to show us. Right. You got to do it against the better teams.
A
You got to do it against Indiana Saturday. You can't get punked by Indiana on Saturday or it's going to go south really fast. Yeah.
C
But it feels like the players were definitely more engaged tonight and I agree. Well, you know, we'll see if that can carry over.
A
Got a couple open lines now if you want to get on board. 859-280-2287. That's 85928. Oh, cats, call the local 30 Years KSR postgame show Ryan and Billy. We write back after this. All right. Kentucky Wildcats get win number one this week, 10367 over North Carolina Central. And the UK volleyball team hoping to get win number two on Thursday where they play at 3:30 at Historic Memorial Coliseum against Cal Poly. The game will be televised. That's a tough time to. You know, usually the crowd has been great packing historic Memorial Coliseum, the volleyball events. That's a tough time. 3:30 in the afternoon in the middle of the day on a Thursday. So if you can't make it, it is going to be televised.
C
Yeah. Did you see what Craig Skinner did?
A
What did he do this time?
C
Oh, you haven't seen.
A
This is on the airplane.
C
Yeah, went in the jet.
A
Every time he does something, he's a little bit higher, a little bit higher, a little bit higher. He was on top of the bank building here on downtown here the other day. He's been on top of a desk.
C
Yeah, he went on top of the table at the press conference the other day.
A
So now he's up in an airplane.
C
So what happens if they keep winning?
A
Rocket ship.
C
We got to put them in space shuttle. Yeah.
A
So I'm working.
C
You said you wanted me to play clip. I got it up here for you.
A
Okay. This is, this is what was said after the game in the locker room. Some of the players were specifically asked about locker room issues, chemistry issues, off the court issues. You got Otega. Yeah. Okay, so this is Ortega's answer to the question about off the court issues with this team.
B
The court.
C
And we're figuring that part out. He said the off the court stuff, it's.
B
He said that's nonsense.
A
It ain't no off the course stuff.
C
That's.
A
It's this all on the court.
B
Like, obviously people gonna spectate and speculate, but it's.
C
It's all on the court.
A
Like we the closest group.
B
Like, we all hang out, we all good. Like, it ain't nothing off the court.
A
Can we talk about that intensity? That was a Dylan Ballard who was asking that question. And, you know, all the. The rumors about locker room issues off the court issues seem to involve Otega in some way, shape or form. He's shooting it down. Billy. You just heard that for the first time. What do you think?
C
What you expect a player to say when asked if there are issues?
A
What's he going to say in front of all the reporters? Yeah, we had a big fight the other day in the locker room.
C
Yeah, exactly.
A
Got a west. Got some boxing gloves on, and we just fought for three hours.
C
All our issues are on the court, not off the court, which is. Which is true.
A
So do you believe him, though?
C
I mean, is there petty squabbles? Probably. Was there a fight in the locker room? I don't know. But, I mean, there was something that happened before the Louisville game. We may never find out what that was.
A
I'm convinced something happened before the Louisville game or Mark Pope would not have brought it up. Why would you bring it up if nothing happened? Why would you say we had an incident for the game if nothing happened? Of course something happened. You're right. It may be the end of the season before we find out what it was. Team turmoil, the fight on their plane. We never knew what it really was about till maybe a year or two later. Find out the details of the fight on the airplane. So that's on Dylan Bauer Twitter. Jeff Drummond, I think, has some other sound bites on his Twitter feed about that. Other players ask about off the court chemistry issues or fights in the locker room, whatever.
C
Oh, I'm sure they've heard the noise. So they're ready to answer these questions tonight.
A
All right. 859-280-2287. Who we got next, Billy?
C
Darlene.
A
Darlene. Go ahead, Darlene.
B
Hey, guys, this is all about Mark Pope. I just want him to know that. God, I support this man with everything in me. The booze the other night, it hurt my soul deep. And all I want to say, Mark Pope. I know he helped us win a championship. I'm behind this guy 100%. I love you guys. Thank you for your support.
A
Hold on. Darlene. Darlene, don't you want to give a shout out to your Harlan guy tonight?
B
Oh, my God. You are so right. I mean, yeah, I'm so proud of Trent Noah. 11 points tonight. I think maybe six rebounds or eight rebounds, but oh, my God, you got that right. Thank you for letting me say that.
A
There you go. Trent Noah fan club at Harlan, Kentucky, no doubt about it. Trent played well, man. Earned the right to get back in the starting lineup. He got a lot of rebounds. I think all of 11 of you points I think were on the first half. I'm not mistaken.
C
Well, he hit the first three, I believe, and then had an offensive rebound and then away hit a three very early in the game. So he was playing well. You know, Mark Pope, it wasn't a tweak, it was a shift. He called it.
A
He did. He called it a shift. So Cal Perry had the tweak, Mark has the shift. You know, Yellow bitch also hit a three tonight. Guess who didn't hit a three.
B
Who?
A
Cam Williams. I don't know what's going on with that guy. Like I said, he didn't play till late in the game when the game was already over, but he still had some wide open looks. Never misses in practice. Couldn't buy one again tonight. Who's next caller?
C
Ryan.
A
Ryan. Go ahead, Ryan.
B
Hey, Ryan and Billy. After the first two callers I had to call in. I hardly ever call calling on the postgame show, but we sit about six rows up behind the bench. And during the timeout when Pope called it after the. Brandon Garrison was loafing up the floor when he got. When Pope got in the huddle, he snapped his. His whiteboard over his knee and a piece flew up and hit Colin Chandler square in the forehead.
C
Wow.
A
Well, that. I want to see that kind of.
B
That's inside a pole.
A
Yeah.
B
I've never seen. And I loved it. I absolutely loved it.
A
Appreciate it, Ryan. Thanks for the phone call. Yeah. The guy that called in early, was it Skyler who said that he thought it was all an act, like.
You'Re seeing a performance? I don't buy that. I think that's. That's legit. I think Mark Pope was disgusted by what he saw Friday night against Nash in Nashville against Gonzaga, and he's not going to let that happen again.
C
I. I saw a coach here in Lexington act for quite a number of years, Ryan. I feel like everything Mark Pope does is genuine. And that's even why we've seen him really be low after some of these losses. Right. So I think he's got a tough time acting when he needs to act a little bit more.
A
After that first loss, Against Louisville. He could hardly talk to Tom Leach on the post game news conference. Couldn't even hardly talk to him. He's gotten a little better at that. But he still takes it hard because I think he loves this school and this team so much he wants them.
C
To succeed and he's trying to get his players to understand that as well.
A
Yep. Who's next? Who you got next, Billy?
C
John.
A
John, Go ahead, John.
B
A first off, prayers to bat and his family in Kentucky State. Just. That's the first thing.
A
Right, Right, John.
B
I, I had a. Two questions here, guys. One is just do you guys expect to see Diabate against Indiana? That's my first question.
A
Yes. Well, the, the, the big blue United group that saw practice yesterday said that Diaboti kind of told them that he is expecting to be back. He was expecting to be back on Saturday, whether the doctors clear him or Pope's going to play him. But Adia Bate told the crowd there that he was expected back for Saturday against Indiana.
B
Okay. So that hopefully if he does play the letting place, you know, maybe he can play his minutes and then Williams too. I. The other question I did have or not William. Sorry guys. Low Jalen Lowe. But the other question I did have was and I know this guy, he's raw, he's young, he's a four star guy and they haven't played him that to my acknowledge and I know they were trying to sit him and red shirt him or whatever, but Braden Hawthorne, I don't get why we're searching. We're in like you guys say, you know, some of us said we're, you know, grasping for straw, searching for something, an answer. And you've got guys I'm not going to try to pick on like Cam Williams or something like that, but you just mentioned him, you know, 13 minutes and he played late, he hasn't been hitting a lot. So why can't we get Braden Hawthorne out there? The dude has got talent, he can play ball. And I know he's young, but why not give him a shot?
A
Well, appreciate it, John, but yeah, I think the, the plan is definitely to red shirt him and kind of him be included in next year's recruiting class. Like you've almost got a head start on next year's recruiting class. When you add him to the mix. I think that's, that's a plan. They just want him to get bigger, stronger. You've seen the video of him. I mean he's rail thin, he's very little. He's got little bitty Calves and ankles and wanting to get it bigger, stronger, faster. And I think, I think, I think John Dright, though, I think he could be a good player someday here.
C
Yeah, hopefully. I just, I'm not sure how many kids are going to stay at a university for five years, including their red shirt anymore, right?
A
That's true. Yeah. With the nil money, that deal, probably people call, come after him a little bit, but you know, you. When he, when he signed, I remember his dad did some interview, said he's wanted to be a Kentucky Wildcat his whole life. He grew up a big Kentucky fan and this is where he wants to be. So hopefully he'll, he'll develop and to be a great player.
C
And there's a learning curve out of high school.
A
Right.
C
We're seeing that with Jasper Johnson a little bit. So I imagine he's going through some of that too.
A
You know, Jasper and Malachi both had to kind of learn the college game. Now Malachi kind of picked it up a little quicker than Jasper did. But Jasper's just got, man, he just, he's just a score man. He can just get the ball in the basket for you. And that's if he can, you know, get the decision making down as being a backup point guard. He's going to get some minutes. They're going to play. Who we got next?
C
Syndicate Sin.
A
Speaking of Jasper Johnson, this is Syndicate. Syndicate. Done. Jasper Johnson's biggest fan.
B
What's going on, man? Hey, Ron, first of all, you are doing an awesome job tonight. I just want to tell you that. First of all.
A
Well, how much owe you?
B
You know, I'm gonna give you some brisket. I'm gonna bring you some of you.
A
Keep saying you're gonna give me some brisket and I have yet to have some of your famous brisket.
B
I brought some over a few weeks ago. I know y' all saw me come in and I brought some to Crusher.
A
Oh, I got. We didn't get any crutch. Took it all. We didn't get any crutch.
B
Yeah, you know, but I'm. Sharon's in here cooking up the Mac and cheese. What I was wanting to tell you guys about tonight is that sometimes things go on in the locker room, you know what I'm saying? And I played at Harrisburg, so we had to take it to the back. And sometimes the coach just was like, you guys got to figure this out and take care of it. And we got it taken care of. And I think that's what the Cats are doing right now. They're getting that taken care of. And one thing I want to say about Jasper is I think that Jasper is finally turning to Bruh. Remember, like, when he turned into the to the in the game, you know what I'm saying? He turned into the Wolf on the court. I think. I think that's what we about to start to see him with Jasper. He's starting to get his confidence and he's turning into Bruh. So I think that's what we need to start seeing is Bruh coming to the court. And I think the Cats are coming together as a team. We just need to get behind them, get behind the coaches, stop booing, and just start supporting the team win or lose. But I think most of all, what we need is we need they love, and we need Bruh on the court now.
A
Good call, Seneca. Appreciate it. Yeah, a lot of people probably don't know that Jasper Johnson's nickname is Bruh. He grew up. Everybody knew him as Bruh. Probably very few of his friends knew his real name because he just went by Bruh. And when he became Bruh, he becomes a badass on the court. Saw a little bit of that tonight. I wish I could find that one. Some guy sent me a tweet after maybe it was the loss to North Carolina. And like, said Ryan, you know, Jasper Johnson is not who you say he is. He's not going to be that type of guy. I wish that guy would tweet me back tonight after he saw what Jasper did tonight.
C
Did you have an alter ego or a nickname when you were stealing bases in college?
A
I think they just called me Stud.
Yeah, I think that probably they called me that my whole life. Stud.
C
Feed the studs.
A
Feed the stud. Yeah.
C
Yeah. I saw a picture of Will Stein with stud finders in his office.
A
Oh, he did.
You know, my nickname was Chet. All a Kentucky Wesleyan knows me as Chet.
C
Why?
A
Because there was a baseball player when I was playing at Wesleyan, a professional. His name was Chet Lemon. So when I got to campus, nobody knew my name. They. Oh, limit. That's a lim. That's Chet. I swear, I. I used to get mail from Kentucky Wesleyan official mail addressed to Chet Lemon.
C
And it lives on through a parody.
A
There we go. All right, let's get another call. We got a break. Who we got?
C
I haven't been able to talk to this person. I think it's Greg.
A
Greg? Are you. Is this Greg?
B
Yes, UK Greg. Hey, Chet Lemon. I'm proud to be on the Chat Lemon post game show.
A
What up, UK Greg?
B
Good to Talk to you. So a couple of things. So, you know, we talk about how the offense was built around low. I think what's more important than that is always being the leader. We need. Oh. Always to be that leader in the locker room. And I think he stepped up tonight, and I hope to see that continue. And the last thing I want to say is my son Peyton is a huge, huge Zach Cal fan. So he's. He's doing car. He's doing cartwheels tonight.
A
Absolutely. Go. Thank you, Greg. Uk Greg. We appreciate it. Yeah. Zach Tao, if you heard Mark Pope tell the story afterwards, he's trying to. He's past the lsat. He's going to law school. He tried. He's applying at various law schools now, but he wants to go to uk. So put Pope, put the. The plea out there. If you know anybody can help Zach get into UK law school, give him a. Give him a shout.
C
Well, I mean, we've had, like we mentioned, the Walker horn shot that Drew called and now the Zach towel one that he called again. I like these bench players getting their moments.
A
Indiana is destroying Penn State by 3,544 points. And if I'm not mistaken, Lamar Wilkerson, they just put a stat up. I believe he has 45 points tonight. That's the kid that Kentucky was trying to get. I commented on the show that he had committed to Kentucky, and then later that day he changed and committed to Indiana because Indiana hired one of his coaches to also join the staff in Indiana. Kind of a package deal. How good would you want? That kid had 45 points a night.
C
Man, I would have loved that. But you.
A
Ten three pointers. Ten three pointers.
C
You can't be doing that, though. You can't just be. Can't let the kids say, you got to hire my cousin or I won't go to your school or stuff like that.
A
I think that's what happened.
C
They had plenty of money.
A
Yeah. All right, we'll take our final break. Come back. Our final segment. Got a couple of phone lines open again. 8592-8022-8785-9280. Cats, Ryan and Billy on the local Toyota dealers. KSR postgame show. Final segment. Local total leaders. KSR postgame show. Ryan and Billy Cats a big win tonight over North Carolina Central, 103, 67. Indiana, our next opponent on Saturday is beating Penn State 113 to 68. And Lamar Wilkerson does, in fact have 44 points. And Billy, he did it because he hit 10 three pointers.
C
Broke the record.
A
Broke the record. He's 10 of 15 from three. Somebody's got to lock that guy up. Put Otago on him or take a stop. The guy tonight put Otago on that Lamar Wicker.
C
They had like a hundred points with five minutes left in this game.
A
They did.
C
Are you worried?
A
You got to take care of business. You can't let in those canvas Converse wearing stinking tobacco chewing, hillbilly overall wearing Indiana Hoosiers come in here and punk you on your home court. I grew up in Indiana, by the way. I can say that.
C
Oh, we know.
A
I am a hillbilly.
C
We know. Well, now I wouldn't go that far.
A
Jeff Drummond has tweeted out some more sound from the post game where I asked when the guys were asked about off the court issues. He's got a good sound bite with Trent Noah. We want to play now. So this is on Jeff Drummond's Twitter. We have a long season ahead.
B
We're super talented, we're super close and.
A
Kind of just, just, just still, just.
B
Still working the gears and we'll figure things out. I mean tonight was a good step and then we got another big one on Saturday.
A
Trent, you said we're super close. I don't know how much of the noise you, you hear, especially coming off a bad loss like Friday, but there's speculation out there that this team is not close and there's some kind of problem behind the scenes.
C
Can you kind of, can you dismiss that?
B
That I haven't seen that personally, but that isn't, that is not true. I mean, I feel like we're kind of right now off these losses. We kind of, it's kind of bringing us closer together. I mean we're such a, like it's so cliche to say every team wants to be a tight knit group, but.
A
I really do think that we are.
B
I mean, we really do have our backs. I mean, we're continuing to learn to trust and play with each other on the court, but off the court, I.
A
Mean, these are my best friends.
B
I mean they would say the same thing about me.
A
Well, there you go. Trent Noah addressing the question about off the court issues, chemistry issues, fights in the locker room, girlfriend rumors, all the stuff that's been going around in the last couple of weeks or so. You buying it, Billy? Buying stock in it.
C
I'm just glad he played better.
A
He did.
C
That's a guy that wasn't getting a ton of minutes. They put him in the starting lineup. He ended up scoring 11 points. He also had six rebounds, 4 of 8 from the field, plus 21 in 26 minutes. And Trent Noah is our Johnny Rocker personal injury attorney, money maker of the game tonight. Right.
A
Nice transition.
C
Injured get small town compassion with big city results. When you call, call The Rocker at 270-321-4429. My question to you is who starts against Indiana at the 4?
A
I think, yes, you got to stick with Trent, right? I mean, even if the bate's going to try to play, you can't start him. Cam Williams is still trying to hit a three pointer. Yellow bitch played better. He finally hit a three, but Trent's earned it. They just played with a little more energy. I think when he was on the court, that's just something that was kind of lacking when he was hurting out. He stepped on the court tonight and there just seemed to be a little more, a little more pop, you know what I mean?
C
Yeah. And back to Pope's comments. Trent isn't a perfect player, but he gives everything he has. And so, you know, if Mo's going to come off the bench coming back from that injury, you probably do start.
A
Him at the four.
C
I'll just be curious to see how much Jalen Lowe we see in that Indiana game.
A
You know, we did have a caller on the pregame show said he wanted to see Chandler and Trent on the floor at the same time. I think because that helps spread the defense out a little bit more that they, that they, you know, they started, they played a lot together tonight, those two guys.
C
They also, I think we had a caller on the morning show say that Pope needed to bench somebody after, you know, making, you know, not running to back from the court. And we saw exactly that with Brandon Garris.
A
Yep. All right, 859-280-2287. Our final segment. Billy's got some calls lined up. So who we got?
C
Billy, we got five left. We'll start with Mac.
A
Mac. Go ahead, Mac.
B
Hey, long time listener, first time caller.
A
Appreciate that.
B
It's nice talking. Yeah, it's nice talking to you, Ryan and Billy. You know, it's kind of funny for me is that I interviewed Matt Jones back in 2010 when I was a freshman at UK.
Yeah, yeah. I interviewed him for law, law class, but ended up going into medicine. So currently an orthopedic surgeon. But I just want to say that the, you know, I think that this, this team, I think we need to stick behind them. I think, remember, we all have to. Remember, I know the NIL changed things with money and everything, but, you know, yes, they played some bad games. There's been some bad effort on the floor. But, you know, as fans, I think the biggest thing is to stay supportive of the team. And, you know, I think benching of Duran and Garrison the second half, this is only the third game I've been able to watch this year, was a good thing. But I just think that we got to continue to support this team and, you know, stay behind the players because they hear that outside noise, and that only can affect these kids when they're. You remember what it was like to being 18 to 22 years old.
But I think that this team still, it's still early in the season. I, you know, I always keep the faith. Kept the faith in the football team, will always will keep the faith them. But as long as we stay behind this team, I think we get Quaintance back, we get Lowe back, and we get Cam Williams to kind of make a few shots here and there and get this team kind of rolling. I think we have a good future ahead of us. And I think my, My reason for the call was just for the fan base to kind of keep supporting the team and don't get so negative because we got to remember these are just college kids and there's way more to life than college basketball, college football. But, you know, I think this team will pull together, and if it doesn't, you know, that's just, that's what happens.
A
Okay.
B
Just like.
A
Yep.
B
Yeah.
A
Appreciate it, Mac. Appreciate the phone call. You know, he's. He's right. After that Gonzaga game, fans were not just running to the exit door, they were running like Sidney McLaughlin away from the fan base, period. They were. Couldn't get away from UK fast enough.
C
Well done.
A
Thank you very much. How about Mac? Humble brag. I was going to go to law school, but I decided to be a surgeon. Tough, tough, tough life. What was your two choices?
C
Radio host or manual labor?
A
Mine was high school baseball and basketball coach or. Yeah. Low beat reporter at Evansville, Indiana.
C
These hands are way too soft to be doing anything outside. Right. So we're glad it worked out.
A
Who's our next caller?
C
J Dub.
A
J Dub. Go ahead, J Dub.
B
Chat. How are you doing, bud?
A
Oh, if you call me Chet, you're an. You're. You're a Wesleyan guy.
B
I know. I'm just messing with you, man.
A
Okay.
B
My. The big thing was Noah. I love having no one that starting lineup, man.
A
Yeah. Appreciate jw. He, like I said earlier, he provided a lot of pep, a lot of energy. I. I like the way they Kind of came out, but they did. Like Bill, you said earlier, they did kind of struggle coming out of the gate a little bit. They couldn't kind of find anything to defensively to keep North Carolina Central out of the. Out of the lane.
C
Yeah. And when they're ranked 320 out of 350 in the chem palm, that's concerning, Right?
A
Yeah.
C
How many times have we seen somebody come into Rupp and, you know, shoot pretty well? That wasn't really it. It was defensive breakdowns.
A
Yeah, the, the. The. Their main player was having trouble, but it was that. I think his name was Harvey, their big guy inside. It was kind of. Kind of scored a bunch there early on. Who's our next caller? Who we got?
C
Let's go to jlw.
A
Jlw.
B
Okay, let me. I got a question, because I'm not the smartest person in the world, but what do you got to do to burn your. Richard? My question is, why don't you play the Potter kid and see what we got? I mean, I don't know if he's any good, if he's not any good, but I think I read where you got like maybe five games before you burn your red shirt. So why don't we see what we got with him?
A
All right.
B
I mean. Okay, I'm sorry. Go ahead, go.
A
There is. There is a limit. I'm not sure what it is for basketball, for football, you can play in four games and still maintain your red shirt.
C
I don't think that exists in basketball.
A
I don't think it does either in basketball.
C
I think one minute and you're done with your red shirt, but I'll try to double check.
B
Okay. Okay. I apologize. I didn't know that for sure. But when Queen just comes back, I'm thinking about maybe shortly. We're gonna play Quaintness at the fireboard, play Marino at the five. But who we go play at the three. I know it's not gonna be Cam Williams.
A
No.
B
Well, and I see something. I got one more thing. I get off the guy. I think we need. I think we need to play Johnson, man, and just roll with him and see what we got and see. But what I'm saying. Acquaintance at the four, Moreno at the five. Let's roll. We'll be a fight. I hope he comes back to St. John. St. John's game. I wish he'd be coming back for the Indian game, but we had definitely got to roll with Marino at 5 and Quentin is at 4. What do you guys think? Thank you for taking my Call.
A
All right, jlw Jaden Quaint is a five. He is a man child. He is a five. He's not a four. So I think Marino and Jaden Quadens will be sub, you know, playing, switching back and forth. I think Brandon Garrison is going to fall further down the bench once Jaden Quatons becomes healthy.
C
Mark Pope's offense needs a stretch for. Yeah, and it's what they don't really have this year.
A
I think they thought they had it with Cam Williams or even Yellow Vich. I think they thought that could be that and Lee Almanor guy stand in a corner and just pop threes when you needed one.
C
Yeah. So, I mean, I'm kind of looking at Trent Noah or a Cam Williams. One of those two guys to. To rise to the occasion, I think always at the three.
A
Right.
C
That's where he's been playing, no doubt. Aberdeen at the 2.
A
Yep.
C
Jalen Lowe at the 1.
A
Yeah. And then Jasper backing him up.
C
Jasper. Well, Colin Chandler, he's got to be on the floor. I mean, where are we?
A
You know, there was a lineup tonight. We bench in Aberdeen where Yellow was playing the five. They had Yellowch. I think it was when Low was out there. Low. Jasper away and Chandler and Yellow Vich. I think that was the lineup, like four guards and Yellowch in the inside.
C
So I believe for a red shirt, you cannot play in an official game to have a red shirt. But a medical red shirt, you can play in 30% of your team's game. If you have to play in less than 30%.
A
Yeah.
C
And then you can still get a medical red shirt.
A
So, you know, Reese Potter's value right now is he's been beaten on Jaden Quatons in practice. Those two guys are battling practice. He's. That. That's his main purpose is to help get Jaden Quatons ready to play. Braden Hawthorne, he's going to redshirt. He's going to get bigger, better, stronger, faster, and get ready to be in next year's recruiting class. Just let those guys mature. Reese Potter can play. I mean, we saw him play, and it was a Youngstown they played. Was it Miami, Ohio or where'd he play? But they played at Youngstown. We went there and watched a game on our trip up through the North. We went to watch Kentucky play in Philadelphia last year.
C
So you saw him play there?
A
Yeah, we saw him play. I saw him play in high school. I've seen him play for. Since he was in middle school, since he grew up at Lexington Catholic. All Right. Who's the next player?
C
Let's go to. It was Miami of Ohio, by the way.
A
That's what I thought.
C
Butler.
A
Butler.
C
Two more.
A
Go ahead, Butler.
B
Hey, how's it going, fellas? First of all, thank you taking my call, Billy. Second of all, prayers to my dad and his whole family. Hopefully, you know, the Lord's on their side on this. I wasn't able to hear the first part of the show because I was calling the whole time, you know, so can't hear it when you're calling on your phone. But is anybody else on my side? That Jasper Johnson just needs to sit on the bench for a minute. I mean, he seems to. He just comes down and he just jacks up shots without even passing it. He'll drive to the basket without even. No remorse. I mean, is it just me?
A
Yeah.
B
Is it driving anybody else?
A
Butler, you did not. Obviously didn't hear the first part of the show. We were bragging on Jasper Johnson fan here.
C
Butler.
A
I'm president of the Jasper Johnson fan club. Butler. So appreciate the phone call. He's your backup point guard. He's a better point guard than Colin Chandler. He's a better point guard than Denzel Aberdeen. He can get in the lane. He can throw. He was like, second. Only I think he's. Look this up, Billy. I believe he's second on the team in assists right now behind Aberdeen. I think Aberdeen's one. I think Jasper's number two. And he's doing it in limited minutes. I think he. He's had some struggles. He's forced up a couple bad shots. But you know what? So is everybody else on this basketball team. Jasper is going to be a guy that's going to be a superstar someday.
C
Let him grow, superstar.
A
Let him grow.
C
Okay. Aberdeen leads the team with 35 assists. Colin Chandler comes in at 30. Jasper is a close third with 28.
A
Okay. I thought Jasper was second. I think Chandler probably passed him tonight because Chandler had eight assists tonight. If it probably updated, that's what it was.
C
All right.
A
Is this our last caller?
C
Is our last caller?
A
It gotta be a good one. Who is it?
C
Michael.
A
Michael. Gotta be a good one, Michael.
B
Evening, gentlemen. I hope you all are having a great night.
A
All right.
B
I hope. I hope Trent. Noah has taken some classes in botany because he's getting a lot of flowers tonight, and I'm about to add on to that.
A
Okay, go for it.
B
I want to see from him a lot more. All right? That's what I want to see from him a lot more. When he just Catches it and shoots it without thinking. I feel like he's just thinking too much when he gets the ball sometimes and it'll lead him. It'll lead to him just either passing up a shot he should take or just, you know, waiting too long and missing the shot. So. Yeah, that's all I wanted to say. Great game from him tonight. Hope to see more of that. Y' all have a great night.
A
Appreciate it. Michael. I think he was a big reason why Kentucky came out with a lot of energy. I said that earlier. A lot of heart was because that's how Trent Noah plays. Having him in the starting lineup from the opening tip. I think the other guy just kind of fed off that a little bit. And then when you get. Like I said, all three Kentucky boys played well tonight. Malachi Jasper and Trent Noah. All three of them played well tonight. They helped. Well, they got what they got 36. They got 47 points. 47 of the 103 points were the three Kentucky guys.
C
These are the games for them to do that, some momentum and then hopefully can carry that over to the team that just broke their record for threes in a game and scored 100 points with five minutes left against Penn State.
A
I got. This is totally off topic, but I got to ask you a question.
C
Yeah.
A
They announced the three Heisman Trophy finalists. Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Lowe, Ohio State quarterback Justin Saying, IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza, and Vandy quarterback Diego Pavia. Yeah, I'm voting for Pavia. He did more. He took Vanderbilt to a 10 and 2 season. He was must watch football. If I'm voting, I'm voting Diego Pavia. Yeah, but his mom's really hot.
C
Indiana's number one in the country.
A
That's true.
C
Mendoza's been a hell of a player.
A
How does Mendoza's mother look?
C
They just beat.
A
Yoga girls probably listen right now. The one stuff with the radio. Yeah.
C

Hosts: Ryan Lemond and Billy Rutledge
Date: December 10, 2025
Podcast: KSR Postgame Show (iHeartPodcasts/Sports Talk 790)
This KSR Postgame Show recaps the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball win over North Carolina Central, a much-needed blowout after recent high-profile losses. Hosts Ryan Lemond and Billy Rutledge discuss the team's performance, dissect Mark Pope’s new approach, ponder locker room chemistry, and take a series of spirited calls from Wildcat fans. The episode builds anticipation for the upcoming rivalry game against Indiana and offers lively, candid reactions in a quintessentially Kentucky tone.
Pope’s Timeout Statement
(06:17) Ryan: "Coach called a timeout and got into Brandon Garrison…played 000 minutes after that. That was sending a direct message…Not going to happen anymore or you’re not going to play."
Effort Over Talent
(07:58) Billy: "Pope said afterwards, Trent isn’t a perfect player, but he gives everything he has."
Genuine or Performance?
(16:31) Billy: "Pope has gone through the Five Stages of Grief, just like we all have…denial…and then now anger."
Locker Room Rumors Denied
(25:18) Ortega Away: "It ain't no off-the-course stuff…Like, we all hang out, we all good. It ain't nothing off the court."
(39:54) Trent Noah: "That isn't, that is not true…it's kind of bringing us closer together…we really do have our backs."
Fans on Pope & Kentucky Culture
(21:41) Kyle: "Last year, we were praising them for taking us to the Sweet 16 with a group of nobody. Let’s give the guy a chance to do his job…nobody cares as much as Mark Pope."
Ryan’s Indiana Roots Show
(39:12) "You can't let in those canvas Converse wearing stinking tobacco chewing, hillbilly overall wearing Indiana Hoosiers come in here and punk you on your home court. I grew up in Indiana, by the way. I can say that."
The hosts and callers embody a passionate but anxious Kentucky fan base, with tough love for the players and staff. There’s a communal sense that, while blowouts of lesser opponents are nice, only a convincing, energetic win over Indiana will truly start to heal wounds and restore fan faith. Mark Pope’s actions and temperament (effort enforcement, explicit benching, public messaging) are being closely watched and debated, but most agree his approach was “genuine” tonight. Ultimately, everyone is focused on finding the right chemistry, accountability, and momentum as the season’s pressure points approach.
This summary covers all key content from the KSR Postgame Show, 12/09/25, maintaining the conversational, passionate KSR spirit for Kentucky basketball fans who missed the episode.
