Donald Trump returns from China a beaten, broken man with his tail between his legs. He took an entire group of businessmen from America, right, like it was some sort of job fair or business fair, and came home with not one trade agreement, not one agreement with American businesses. He didn't get a treaty, a agreement, a deal of any kind. Not on the Iran war, which Hong China, through Hong Kong, is funding through oil, arms and cash. We'll talk about that in a moment. Not the Chinese support of Russia in the Ukrainian war. Not the issue of Taiwan and democracy and freedom. Not. Not anything. This. Any other president who came home from such a failed mission, having had no diplomacy happen in advance in order for him to come home with some sort of pork chop, to wave the American people, that president would be tossed to the curb and his entire State Department and diplomatic team fired. That's how poor this meeting was. Who. Who in their right. It's professional malpractice. Who in their right mind lets a president go to China to meet with his counterpart, the president, President Xi, and not come home with anything. In fact, come home worse off, come home weakened from the visit. And China is laughing all the way to their Hong Kong banks, whether it's Standard Chartered or hsbc, because the Chinese government is using traders in Hong Kong to help source military supplies and drones that are attacking and killing Americans in Iran. They're doing business with the Iran Revolutionary Guard. They're using money men in Hong Kong to fund, to channel funds and cash to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. That's the Chinese. And they are using Hong Kong oil traders to make sure that there are ghost ships that get Iranian oil through the block to give cash and support the Iranian National Guard. And you know how many of those aspects of oil and arms and cash that the US Government and Donald Trump has resolved with his visit? Not a one. I think the number one indicator of how poorly this went is how the American team around Donald Trump was completely abused by their Chinese counterparts. It was a rugby scrum. It left White House insiders saying out loud, some of which was caught on a hot mic, that this was a shit show and get your effing hands off of me while she and Trump were in the room. Because China has no respect for Donald Trump to. China has no respect for the diplomatic corps, led by who? Marco Rubio and Jared Kushner. Has no respect for the American press and they let it be known. And how they manhandled, physically throwing people to the ground around Donald Trump. I'm Michael Popak. You're on the Midas touch network and legal af. And let's get to the problem of China and Hong Kong. A problem that was not solved because Trump doesn't know it's a problem. Hong Kong trades on its reputation over 100 years of being a major business center, a trusted business center with banks to support it. But the Chinese who control Hong Kong turn a blind eye to Hong Kong limited liability companies, more than 100 of them set up in order to divert and money launder directly to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Did that come up in Marco Rubio's conversations? Not based on diplomatic printouts of the meetings. China uses Hong Kong and its network of brokers and traders and fake and phony companies to money launder cash and get it into the hands of the Iranian National Revolutionary Guard. Same thing with arms. Where do you think the drones are coming from? Where do you think? As we blow up things in Iran, where do you think they're resupplying from? It's coming through arms dealers based in Hong Kong, controlled by China. And the same thing with oil. Their number one asset is oil. So to evade the blockade, they use oil brokers who, who, who run the ghost ships and evade the blockade, putting money in Iran's park pocket. Until the Treasury Department under Donald Trump, they're, they're all bragging about Operation Epic Fury, economic version that they sanctioned, you know, a, you know, a couple of, that they sanctioned a couple of entities, you know, and a couple of banks and all that. Forget it. You gotta go after the LLCs, you gotta follow the money. And they're not doing any of that. It's all window dressing. Think about what Donald Trump said before he left. He said to the American people, this is gonna be an amazing diplomatic and business mission. I'm bringing along Elon Musk, I'm bringing along the head of visa or American MasterCard and Apple and other technology companies. Like it was some sort of elaborate trade deal or trade fair. This wasn't a trade show. This is supposed to be diplomacy. There are, number one enemy, you wouldn't know it, talking to Donald Trump and holding hands with. With Xi. And it started from an embarrassing moment. Trump shows up with much fanfare, coming out of us one gripping onto the down escalator. The downstairs, he barely could walk. And who is he greeted by? Mr. And Mrs. Xi? No. Some lower level vice president. Even from the moment of the pomp and circumstances, no amount of singing school girls are going to wallpaper over the fact that he was snubbed diplomatically from the moment he stepped off the plane. If I were Donald Trump, I wouldn't have stepped off the plane without having she there. That would have been a part of the negotiations. But he has no power. The emperor has no clothes, as disgusting as that image sounds. And it went downhill from there. Here's a hot mic moment caught as she and Trump were up on a podium where somebody, obviously an American, says, get your effing hands off me. Play the clip. Get the out of here. No move. Okay. Get the. No move. Okay. Oh. I'm very excited to tell you about the world's number one expanding garden hose and their brand new product, the pocket hose ballistic. I used to have to buy a new hose every year due to kinks and tangles, but the pocket hose ballistic is the upgrade I've been looking for my entire life. It's the toughest pocket hose ever built. Reinforced with a liquid crystal polymer used in bulletproof vest, Pocket hose is the number one expandable hose in the world. Super lightweight, easy to manage, easy to store. Turn the water on and it grows. Turn the water off and it shrinks back to pocket size. Comes with the pocket pivot, which gives you total freedom of movement at the spigot with 360 degree rotation. You move it, it follows and the water flows. And now, for a limited time, when you purchase a new pocket hose ballistic, you'll get a free 360 degree rotating pocket pivot and a free thumb drive nozzle. Just Text legal to 64,000. That's legal to 64,000 for your two free gifts with purchase text legal to 64,000. Message and data rates may apply. Secret Service boxed out from doing their job to protect a president who's been shot out more than any other president. They're not allowed to go to the Temple of Harmony, an official event, and they're boxed out the United States press. I thought nobody could treat the United States press and First Amendment media worse than Donald Trump. I found somebody that could. The Chinese government, they locked the bathrooms, took away the water bottles, wouldn't let them escort the motorcade because they think about as little of First Amendment and press as Donald Trump. And you would only get away with that, literally manhandling the White House. The group around the White House, the handlers, the enablers, literally, one was tossed to the ground. You'd only do that if you thought you'd get away from it, away with it, if you thought you were stronger than your opponent, which you are. And what did Trump come back? I saw reporting BBC or this or that, quoting From Donald Trump taking a clip that's not reporting. Trump returns from very successful trip. What is a successful trip? He couldn't even get. He couldn't even announce some sort of investment strategy. What's the success? She's coming to the White House, right? I joked on Substack. This is an example of the Chinese eating our lunch. And now a weakened, feckless president returns back to failing public opinion polling numbers in the trash cans. He ran away to China thinking if he looked tough in front of Xi, it would make him look great at home. The opposite happened because we see what he's done with his mismanagement of the Iran war. That's a never ending war of his own creation that will end with the Iranians say it's going to end or more likely when the Chinese say it's going to end. When they're Hong Kong brokers and money launderers and oil brokers say it's going to end. Not when little Marco Rubio or J.D. vance, the author or Donald Trump the failed businessman, convicted sex abuser. Not when they say it's over. See, the rest of the world has figured out, friend and foe alike, that while Donald Trump sits in the White House, the United States can be ignored and should be ignored. It's not a moral leader. It's not. It's not the leader of the free world. We're not making any new democracies around the world under Donald Trump. I mean, he's not making any new Republican voters either, but he's not making or manufacturing democracies either. That's not the business he's in. The business he's in is in the business of Donald Trump. As I said at the top of this hot. Take any other administration that allowed a president to meet face to face with his counterpart without diplomatic spade work being done in advance to, to be able to deliver some sort of bilateral, multilateral deal, treaty, trade agreement, something. And then you have the stark contrast of the Chinese literally running over. At one point. I think we might have a clip. At one, at one point, the Americans had a yell out, let's go, let's go. And they blocked arms like in a rugby match just to get out of there with barely with their lives, with the, with their clothes on their back. Play the clip. Let's go.

No. No. Get out of here. No move. Okay, okay, okay. Does that, does that show you who was in charge on this trip? So don't let anybody fool you that this was a successful Chinese trip. And until the Treasury Department under Donald Trump starts cracking down on Hong Kong middlemen and brokers and traders, who, through oils and arm and cash are keeping Iran alive and thriving and resupplying them with arms, this Iran war will not end. Episode: Trump Team Clashes with Chinese Officials…Caught on Camera
Date: May 17, 2026
Hosts: Michael Popok, Ben Meiselas, Karen Friedman Agnifilo
This episode of Legal AF delivers a sharp, critical analysis of Donald Trump's recent diplomatic trip to China, focusing on several high-profile failings, from diplomatic snubs and physical altercations to the broader international implications of U.S.-China-Iran relations. Michael Popok leads the discussion with pointed commentary on the mishandling of the trip, detailing how Trump's team was outmaneuvered, embarrassed, and physically pushed around by Chinese officials—all “caught on camera.” The episode also explores the strategic use of Hong Kong in aiding Iran, the lack of substantive outcomes from the visit, and the broader weakening of American diplomatic standing.

True to the show’s reputation, Popok’s delivery is direct, biting, and laced with legal and political skepticism. The tone is both informative and outraged, blending factual breakdowns with memorable one-liners and rhetorical questions. The hosts maintain a sense of urgency about the legal and democratic risks illuminated by the events.
