The following podcast is a Dr. Media production. This is, let's Be Honest with Kristen Cavallari, a podcast all about getting real and open on everything from sex, relationships, reality tv, wellness, family, and so much more. And just a fair warning, there will probably be some oversharing. Cause I got all the power. Yep. Welcome in to. Let's be honest. I am so excited today because two things. We are finally in my podcast studio, which this has been a very long time coming. So very happy about that. And I have two special guests with me from Farmer Wants a Wife. I have Matt and John. Hi, guys.
Matt
Hello. Thanks for having us.
Kristen Cavallari
How you guys doing?
John
Outstanding.
Matt
We're happy to be here.
Kristen Cavallari
Life is crazy, huh? So we just saw each other at Stagecoach. I feel like you guys have been all over the place since you got on tv, right?
Matt
Yeah, we've been busy.
John
Traveling circus.
Matt
Traveling the country.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Seems like you guys are just having a lot of fun though, too.
Matt
Yeah, it's fun.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
So what's been the coolest thing that you guys have gotten to do or the best person that you guys have gotten to meet? What's been the highlight?
Matt
I think the iHeartRadio awards is pretty fun.
John
Yeah.
Matt
We, like, walk the carpet, and it was like, all the celebs and that kind of stuff.
Kristen Cavallari
Is that your first big red carpet?
Matt
Yeah. We don't get stuff normally, so it's.
Kristen Cavallari
Was it intimidating?
Matt
I think after the filming of the show, like, nothing really phases me anymore. I like that at first, like, the show, I was all nervous and stuff, you know?
Kristen Cavallari
Were you?
Matt
After that, it just kind of, like, scared it, you know, Scared challenge. Scared me straight.
Kristen Cavallari
How did the show come about? Did they come to you guys? They just found you guys.
Matt
I got an Instagram dm. Both of us did. Yeah.
John
Yep.
Kristen Cavallari
And they just said, hey, we're doing another season of Farmer Wants a Wife. Would you guys want to do it?
John
I guess we had enough outdoors photos on our Instagrams to, like, you know.
Matt
Somehow we snuck in there.
John
Somehow get casted for Farmer Wants a Wife.
Kristen Cavallari
What do you guys. Were you so excited?
Matt
No, no, no.
John
I had only sisters. Were.
Matt
Yeah.
John
And my mom.
Matt
Yeah.
John
Because they love the show.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Okay. So they watched it before.
John
Yeah. When season two was coming out, like, I'd be coming in to the kitchen to get a snack or something. Like, John, you got to come in here and watch this show.
Kristen Cavallari
That's funny.
John
You'd be perfect for it.
Kristen Cavallari
Look at that. They manifested it for you.
John
Yeah. They may have even submitted an application. I wouldn't know.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, that's funny.
John
Maybe.
Kristen Cavallari
Wait. So, okay, talk to me about the first day filming. What did you guys do the first day filming? Because that is nerve wracking. I remember my first day filming too. You do get nervous.
Matt
First day was like the mixer event. So, like, we met each other and the other two guys and then like, all their girls. So everyone's all in, like, one place in Alabama.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
And your first time? Well, I guess we met each other on camera, but, like, pretty much the first thing is you walk into this, like, massive room with like the entire cast and wow, probably like 60 crew members and.
John
Yeah, well, I mean, we, like. I don't know. It was, it was extremely nerve wracking because, like, we walked into this big room and all the girls are set up. You know, you saw it on the first episode where they're around the barrels. We walked in for the first time on camera and everything, and I think Matt was the first one to go in.
Matt
You had to go first. Like, everyone's girls are all in there and there's like, you know, they swap it. But, like, there's like 15 or 20 cameras, like, in the back.
John
The rest of us are waiting outside behind this, like, curtain, and we just hear all this cheering and stuff and laughing.
Matt
Get myself into.
John
Weren't they doing, like, they did like a cheer?
Matt
I think my girls, like, chanted something about with my name. I don't know. Yeah, blacked out.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, I actually remember something. Something like that too.
Matt
I don't know. I don't really remember most of it. I think it blacked out.
Kristen Cavallari
Was it that traumatizing?
John
Not really, but you were definitely just on display for everybody to look at. So.
Kristen Cavallari
You know, what I like about your show is that you guys got to have a say in what girls came to the farm. I don't think any other dating show does that.
Matt
Yeah, a big say too. Like even probably more than people realize. Like, they, they like, grilled us for, like, what exactly do you want in a girl?
Kristen Cavallari
What'd you guys say? What did you. What were you looking for in a girl?
Matt
Well, I can't tell you.
Kristen Cavallari
Yes, you.
Matt
No, I'm kidding.
John
I mean, they, they. We didn't really want to, like, I, I, at least for me, I didn't want to tell them exactly what I wanted. I was like, why don't you guys just give me a few options and I'll.
Matt
Yeah, because you don't know. You don't want to say, like, blonde hair and then maybe you missed out on Good. Brunette? I don't know.
John
But they were asking us, like, body type.
Kristen Cavallari
Really?
John
Length. Like, hair length? Yeah, everything.
Kristen Cavallari
Whoa. Well, so what did you guys say? I want to know specifics.
Matt
How tall are you?
Kristen Cavallari
Short.
John
I didn't want anybody that was. I wanted, like, for me, age wise, I wanted, like, my age or younger.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
And then they also asked a lot about, like, kids and stuff. I was like, not really.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Like, if someone has kids. Yeah. Yeah. That's so fascinating to me.
Matt
Pretty in depth.
Kristen Cavallari
That's great, though.
John
You feel uncomfortable saying stuff because then they even bring up race and everything, and you're like, yeah.
Matt
But you also, like, you know, you got to be honest, so you have to be.
Kristen Cavallari
You're trying to find love. This is your future wife we're talking, right?
John
Build a wife.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, Build a wife. I like that. I want to do a dating show. What about personality traits? Traits? What are you guys looking for when it comes to personality?
John
Not insecure, can't stand.
Matt
Yeah, that's a tough one. There's a lot of those out there.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
It's hard to get past that because it creates a lot of problems.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
100.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
So that was the biggest thing that you guys said to the producers. You just want someone who's confident.
Matt
I said that. I said fun because. Yeah, I like to have a good time, you know?
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
I could tell.
John
It stays motherly.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, motherly, that means. But no, I was the problem at Stagecoach.
John
Actually, you weren't even allowed where you.
Matt
Were by day three.
John
Somehow snuck in, as was gonna.
Kristen Cavallari
I gave you a wristband, got you in.
Matt
I know. I owe you for that big time. We may or may not have snuck into the vip.
Kristen Cavallari
I gave you a better wristband than I had. You could get into, like, the backpack, the artist area. You're welcome.
Matt
And I did, too. I tried to get. I tried to get into the Backstreet Boys trailer, but it was locked.
John
You would have fit, right?
Kristen Cavallari
Did you guys see Backstreet Boys?
John
No. No, I don't think. I didn't see a single person perform while we were there.
Kristen Cavallari
Come on. You were just at the bar the whole time?
Matt
Yeah, pretty much.
John
We're trying to sneak back where you guys socializing.
Kristen Cavallari
I saw you guys back where I was multiple times. You guys made it back?
John
Yeah, multiple times.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Good job.
Matt
We're good at getting.
Kristen Cavallari
I also made it here. Yeah, you did. I'm impressed. I also saw you guys in a million different tiktoks with people. You guys are becoming TikTok stars now.
Matt
That's more. So, John, you're good at it. Or the tiktoker, you're good too.
John
You got to. I've spent too much darn time on it anyway. So, like, you pick up ideas while you're scrolling.
Kristen Cavallari
And it's funny. It's really funny.
John
Fruition.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, let's go back to the show really quickly. How real would you guys say it is? Did you walk away from the experience being like that was 100% real, or did it feel kind of produced? And I know that, like, obviously you're not planning dates. Right? Like, the producers are probably. Or are you planning.
Matt
They were my ideas and then they would execute it.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, I love that.
Matt
But they did leave out some of the favorite ones that I wanted to do.
Kristen Cavallari
Like what? What was one that they left out?
Matt
I had this whole, like, helicopter wine tasting date set up, which would have been awesome. They were going to pick us up, like, on the ranch.
Kristen Cavallari
Wow.
Matt
It was all ready to go. And then they, like, scrap that.
Kristen Cavallari
Why?
Matt
I don't know. Just corporate bullshit stuff. But the other one was riding horses on the beach.
Kristen Cavallari
Cute.
Matt
We're like five minutes from there.
Kristen Cavallari
I love those. Why wouldn't they do that?
Matt
Scrap that.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. What the heck?
Matt
My fun ideas.
John
It's too bachelor esque.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, maybe.
Matt
It would have been cool.
Kristen Cavallari
It would have been.
Matt
People would have liked it. I would have liked it.
John
I would have liked it.
Kristen Cavallari
I would have liked it.
Matt
Sounds fun.
John
My date ideas were terrible.
Kristen Cavallari
I mean, what were they?
John
We didn't have anything going on because, like, on the farm, it was like, October, so everything was already done, so we couldn't do anything.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
So I was like, I don't know. We can golf, farmer show.
Matt
Lame. We did.
Kristen Cavallari
How long did you guys film the show for?
John
It was five months.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, a month.
John
Same. Yeah, it's the same thing.
Matt
I don't know. Something.
John
October.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. The month of October. So how much time did you guys actually spend around the girls?
Matt
None. Like, off camera.
Kristen Cavallari
So every.
Matt
Almost none. Like, very little. Okay, well, his form is fun.
Kristen Cavallari
Hold your microphone up.
Matt
He's getting nervous over here.
Kristen Cavallari
All right, buddy. Guys, listen.
Matt
All right.
Kristen Cavallari
It's a little rinky we got in here. Okay.
John
First time's a charm.
Kristen Cavallari
Hold on. So how many days a week would you see them? Did you guys film every day?
Matt
I would see them every day because they move into my house.
Kristen Cavallari
Right.
Matt
I stayed at my brother's, like, down the street, so you have to pass. I'd, like, say hi and stuff, but, like, they don't let you hang out at all. Really? There was, like, a couple times, yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
So you got to. How come you got to?
John
Well, it's a whole different production team per Farmer.
Matt
Oh.
John
And the wranglers, who were the ones who would, like, be with the girls to make sure they don't sneak out and stuff. Mine were very nice and open and.
Matt
Wow. What is that so much?
John
What's that? Wine circle. Kim Crawford.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, I don't know that that stuff.
John
Would have me bring it.
Matt
It would have taken anything.
Kristen Cavallari
So you were just going over there.
John
And boozing them all the time, watching movies and.
Kristen Cavallari
No way.
John
Then I was on, like, one night.
Matt
I was on lockdown at my place.
Kristen Cavallari
Whoa. So you really felt like you knew the girls?
John
Yeah, definitely.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, wow. And you felt like you didn't know them at all?
Matt
No, I mean, like, after the month, you're, like, around them enough. Like, we're on the same flights. We'd be at these same things, like, in passing and all that kind of stuff. But we didn't get to, like, have fun and hang out.
Kristen Cavallari
Whoa. That's crazy to me. What about the other guys? Have you shared your stories with them, too?
Matt
They're one of them, I think, was more similar to me. And another one was a little more loose, too.
John
But I don't think Colton really cared to hang out with him that much. I think he was kind of doing his own thing a lot. But Jay, I think, had it pretty strict.
Matt
Yeah.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
I think you should be able to hang out because then, you know, you do. You do feel like you know them.
Matt
I felt like when you watch the show or any of those shows, I'm like, oh, we're going to be, like, hanging out girls all the time. It's going to be awesome.
Kristen Cavallari
It's going to be great.
Matt
It was not. It was just, like, a lot of hard work, like, filming all day.
John
Yeah. But they didn't want you to, like, talk about stuff that could be seen as you developing a relationship off camera.
Kristen Cavallari
I mean, I get it. Yeah. They don't want to miss something.
John
Right.
Kristen Cavallari
Camera.
Matt
I think it would be better if you got more comfortable with each other, because then it was, like, awkward on these dates because you're, like, like, not that close, you know? Then you're in a hot tub together and you're, like, looking at each other.
Kristen Cavallari
Like, with cameras in your face.
Matt
Awkward. You know? But if we would have got to, like, hang out, that's, like, hang out.
John
Before they want you to be that way.
Matt
Yeah. But I think it would have been a little better.
Kristen Cavallari

Growing kids should just never eat eat. That's why Haya was created a super powered chewable vitamin. Some of the girls would say that you guys were hard to read and like the girls definitely felt like you weren't opening up. I didn't feel like you opened up really either.
Matt
I didn't is that you didn't lock it down, baby.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, so that's just how you guys are, or do you feel like the cameras made you kind of nervous?
Matt
No, I for sure was not myself during the whole thing.
Kristen Cavallari
Why not?
Matt
I think kind of like what we were saying, like, his atmosphere was fun and, like, easygoing and I think they were, like, having a good time. Mine was, like, so serious. They'd be like, all right, get out there. And like.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Then I would be, like, trying to say the right thing. And I just came across, like, really reserved and, like, kind of awkward, I think, which I probably am a little bit. But not nearly like, as bad as the show.
Kristen Cavallari
I would say. Yeah. Because watching the show, which, by the way, I'm obsessed with the show, I told you guys that I am so locked in and I'm on the edge of my seat to see who you guys pick. And at Stagecoach, I was like, tell me who you pick. And you guys wouldn't tell me. But what was I going to say? Oh, but I was going to say that you were very different in person than I thought you were going to be. You were way more relaxed and fun and chill. I was like, pretty funny.
John
That's because he was a couple. Tequila's deep. To work. I usually.
Matt
I was on the show too.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, so is there a drink limit on the show?
Matt
Oh, yeah, it is.
Kristen Cavallari
Huh? Is it a two drink to drink.
Matt
Like at events and stuff? But.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, but filming the show.
Matt
A bar at my brother's house, so.
Kristen Cavallari
So you can kind of do whatever.
Matt
Like, I'm going to go get something real quick.
Kristen Cavallari
Could the girls sneak alcohol?
Matt
They weren't supposed to, but, like moving back into my house, like, pulling all these like, cabinets open, there's like empty wine bottles.
Kristen Cavallari
Seriously? Oh, that's funny. And you're bringing the girls booze?
John
Yeah, I was doing it all the time. But when we'd go to mixers and stuff, the bartenders there, I mean, there was 9 million of us, so they couldn't keep track. They, like, had a little sheet and they'd tally next to each one of us every time we'd come up and get a drink.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, that's funny.
John
And they'd be like, you already have two. I'm like, no, I don't. You must have marked somebody else.
Matt
I wasn't trying to like, party or like, you know, drink a bunch, but I was like, have a couple of drinks here, like before this big thing, you know.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, it helps on cameras. Earlier, I think there was never a drink limit on dating shows. And then someone on the Bachelor messed it up for everybody. I think someone got hammered or something.
Matt
Too out of control.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Yeah. People get a little. A little lit.
John
I heard they were, like, feeding them alcohol.
Kristen Cavallari
I've heard that, too.
John
To get them loose.
Kristen Cavallari
I've heard that, too. Well, even, like, I did Laguna beach when I was a junior in high school, and we were getting hammered on camera, so I think people were just like.
Matt
Well, that was, like, back in the Wild West.
Kristen Cavallari
That was literally. Was the Wild West. Our Red.
Matt
So many rules back then.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, wait, so this kind of makes sense, because the girl that your mom picked, what was her name again?
John
Juliana.
Kristen Cavallari
Juliana. It's hard to keep all the girls names straight. I don't want to offend anybody, but there's a lot of girls on the show, and it's hard to keep everyone's name straight, but. So it seemed like you were really into her at first, right? Like, you were almost, like, head over heels. And then it seemed like once she got to the house, you, like, turned on her and she didn't even exist to you. And she's obviously pissed camp. So. I just saw the camping episode.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
When this airs, we will have seen your guys's last solo date. So I want to talk about that, too. But I want to talk. What happened, like, what happened with her that all of a sudden you were, like, over this girl?
Matt
Tell us. Let's be honest.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, let's be honest.
John
Well, when I was talking to her at the restaurant, it was, like, a lot of really cool stuff. You know, she studied in Italy, wants to be a mom. Like, basically set out this, like, dream scenario with a husband and wife and their kids making amazing food, you know, having been taught in Italy. And then.
Kristen Cavallari
She got to the house, the girls were not nice to her.
John
Before the house.
Kristen Cavallari
Before the house.
Matt
Before you even got to the house.
Kristen Cavallari
It wasn't that same date.
John
Well, it was just like. She's great. Juliana's phenomenal. Very good person. But, like, in the parking lot, she did one of those things where she, like, does this to, like, make me look at it, you know? You ever seen that?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
Like, when they. If you look. Punch you in the shoulder. I was just like.
Kristen Cavallari
She did that to you? So that just ruined it?
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Couldn't you be like, never mind. I don't want.
John
I didn't really ruin it, but I just, like, I'm not a fan of that. So that's honestly the first girl that went home. Chloe, Also phenomenal. Absolute doll. But, like, they don't really know me well enough. So, like, she wet willied me one time.
Matt
Oh, yeah. He talks about this all the time. It really bothered him.
John
No, that doesn't. That type of stuff is just, like, not for me.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, so those are something for you? For me, like the, like, bro kind of.
John
Yeah. Let's just joke around and, like, jump to that point right away.
Kristen Cavallari
Noted. I. God. Okay.
John
Well, wet willies.
Kristen Cavallari
Wet willie is pretty aggressive. Not gonna lie. Like, that's. Yeah, that's.
John
I told him to send me the clip because it was hilarious. When it happened, I was just like, oh, my.
Kristen Cavallari
I mean, I can see after you're dating for, like, a year and you want to pull some on someone, but.
John
Like, I mean, at that point, I wouldn't care.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Yeah. He probably still care.
John
I think I'd still care.
Kristen Cavallari
You seem like the guy who doesn't.
Matt
Like a wet willie kind of a particular guy.
John
Just try it on Matt.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Yeah, do it. What are other icks that you guys have or deal breakers?
Matt
How much time do you have?
Kristen Cavallari
We got all the time in the world.
John
That stuff.
Kristen Cavallari
That stuff. That's it. Those are. That's it.
Matt
Trying to think what else? That'll give me my head.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
I know it's hard.
John
You have insecure. I mean. But insecure doesn't give me the ick. It's more just like.
Kristen Cavallari
That's a deal breaker.
John
Yeah, it's a deal breaker. Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Yep.
Matt
I think, like, whenever girls can't get along with each other, it's like, four people, and it's like.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Like, grow up.
Kristen Cavallari
Well, that happened on the show.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
What'd you guys think about all the girls fighting all the time and that?
Matt
For me, I was, like, keeping an eye on that because I'm like, if you can't, like, contain yourself in this situation, then, like, obviously, you know.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Problems.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
That's all we were really looking.
Matt
I hate that kind of stuff. Like, I'm pretty drama. Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
There was so much of it.
John
There was.
Matt
Oh, they're all living together in this.
Kristen Cavallari
I know it'd be hard, you know?
John
Well, he had it worse than I did.
Matt
Yeah.
John
Mine were friends.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Actually, yours all did seem pretty friendly.
Matt
I don't want to.
Kristen Cavallari
For when Juliana came in.
John
Yeah. But they were still, like, very cordial, you know, they twisted that.
Matt
I don't want to speak.
John
A lot worse than it did. Oh, they were nice and cordial.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. Okay.
John
But they were upset that. That was no lie.
Kristen Cavallari
Well, I'm sure. Yeah, I can understand that.
John
I mean, like, I only had three girls at that time, everyone else had four.
Kristen Cavallari
So did you bring her back because you didn't think that one of them was the one?
John
No, I just brought her back because I was like, you know, the way I explained it to the girls made sense in my head at the time. You know, I was like, it's only fair to you guys and stuff. But it was really.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, yeah, that did actually make sense. I was like. But I respect that.
John
I was like, my mom went through all the trouble.
Matt
I was like, yeah. Kind of build it up into this whole thing. Like, my girl was from Nashville, actually. She.
Kristen Cavallari
I know.
Matt
All the way out. It's two flights. You had to stay in hotel. I know she's probably really nervous. I know she's all dolled up, like, you know, ready to go.
Kristen Cavallari
And then I'm just like, did you feel bad?
Matt
I felt horrible.
Kristen Cavallari
What did you say to her? Because they didn't air any of that.
Matt
Yeah, I was surprised they didn't show that. But we're, like, chit chatting, and they, like, come out and they're like, oh, we need to fix your mic. You know, it's like. But they pull me in the back and they're like, what do you think you need to keep her? And I'm like, she's just like, just not it. Just not for me. Yeah, she's great. But they're like, all right, we'll go back out there and tell her.
John
And I'm like, you had to tell her.
Kristen Cavallari
I know. That's so.
John
Yeah.
Matt
And all my best friends knew we were filming, so they went and sat at the table, like, five feet away from us. I knew they were listening the whole time. So that just, like, messed with me. They were like, arm's distance. And I could see them all, like, just smiling. And I like, tell this poor girl who was, like, shaking, like, you know, it's nervous. I'd be too. I'm like, I'm really sorry, but, like, I have too much, like, going on. It's horrible.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. That's hard.
Matt
I know.
Kristen Cavallari
What did you guys think when girls. What are you saying? Over there?
John
Called him a scumbag?
Matt
I had to follow my heart, John.
John
Poor girl went all the way out to California.
Matt
Yeah. She was great, though, because he knew.
Kristen Cavallari
That the one was already at his house. What did you guys think when girls would leave the show? There was a lot, like, a lot of.
Matt
When they would leave, like, on their own.
Kristen Cavallari
Yes.
Matt
I wouldn't say a lot.
John
It surprised me. I didn't think there was usually like.
Matt
That, like, Sometimes I think they knew and they would try to, like, beat you to it.
Kristen Cavallari
That's what I thought. That was what I thought the whole time. It pissed me off.
Matt
Like, Rachel at my place, she was never. That was never gonna be a thing. She already knew. Like, I know. And so she was like, you know, I'm out of here. Like, oh, mad, but okay.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, you're the one that's leaving. Okay.
Matt
See you later.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. But let's talk about Samantha.
John
Okay.
Kristen Cavallari
You seemed like you were into her. You really did at first.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
And then you didn't fight it once she tried to leave. So watch me through that.
John
Okay.
Kristen Cavallari
Were you into her?
Matt
I have to hear this explanation myself.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, you were. Yeah.
John
But. Yeah, I mean, I. She was always teetering on the edge of leaving the whole time.
Kristen Cavallari
You think?
John
No, I know why. Yeah. Because we. I mean, like, I hung out with.
Kristen Cavallari
All of them, right?
John
So, like, you know, it didn't surprise me at all when she decided to go.
Matt
It was almost, like, too cool.
John
We like to.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
John
And we, like. I talked with all the girls about all this stuff prior to it happening. Like, Samantha and I had talked about it, like, I'm gonna go home. And I was like, okay, just let me know before you do. Just, like, give me a warning. And that's what she did. She came up and was like, hey, it's happening tonight.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. I really felt like she wanted you to fight for her, though. Did you think that or not she could have.
John
I don't know, but I didn't.
Kristen Cavallari
But it wasn't gonna happen. She was fighting for it.
John
Well, you know, like, even if I did, she still probably would have gone home.
Kristen Cavallari
So why was she always saying she was potentially gonna leave?
John
I think she really just. I don't think she ever really wanted to go on.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, yeah?
Matt
Yeah.
John
I think one of her friends, like, told her, like, hey, you know, one.
Matt
Leg out the whole time, kind of. Yeah.
John
I think the producers really wanted her, too.
Kristen Cavallari
I see.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
What did you think when she denied your kiss? Like, what did you really think?
John
Well, I'll tell you what.
Matt
I would.
John
I was livid. I ripped off my bike and I was pissed off because.
Kristen Cavallari
You can say it. You can say it.
John
The date was, like, all about drinking martinis. I love martinis. So, like, all right, well, why don't you do that? Because it's, like, your thing. So I drank an entire thing of Grey Goose. I don't mix it with vermouth. It was just straight vodka. So I was feeling the bath yeah, she was looking good. I was feeling good. And then behind her, the producers are doing. Make sure this don't fall. Hold it, William.
Matt
Matt, I got you, buddy.
John
They were doing, like, this, like. No, I was like, all right. You know, she was looking at my lips all the time and, like, oh, my God. I was like, I don't really. I can't.
Matt
Got it. I feel like that was.
John
I was like, sorry, don't keep holding it.
Matt
Yeah.
John
I was like, I don't really know what else to ask her. And they were like, I think you got more questions. And she was like, yeah, I think you got something else.
Kristen Cavallari
I was like, oh, my gosh.
Matt
She beat for sure. Was. No way.
John
And then right when that happened, I, like, took my mic off. I was like, like, yeah, trick me and all this stuff and, like, walked.
Kristen Cavallari
You said that to her?
John
Not to her. I was mad at the producers.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. Okay.
John
I turn around, I look at, like, 20 people, and they're all going to. I'm just like, you were ripped it off.
Kristen Cavallari
Yes.
John
Yeah.
Matt
I think you called me after that.
John
I did, yeah. But then we came back and, like, they talked to me and all this stuff. And then Samantha was like, no, we can do it again. And, like, I'll make it better for you and all that stuff. So she was good about it.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, that's good.
Matt
Yeah. But they still put that same part in, right?
John
What?
Kristen Cavallari
The original.
Matt
Original.
John
Oh, well, I. I wanted them to, quite frankly, because the other way we did it just was really dumb.
Matt
Yeah.
John
Like, they made me ask her, like, I kind of want to kiss you right now, but that would have been really lame.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
John
So I just said, keep.
Matt
In the original one, I could hang out with you anymore.
John
The fake reaction, because the real one would have gotten me booted.
Kristen Cavallari
I mean, I think it. It worked out. It was kind of an iconic moment on the whole.
Matt
Yeah. It really was my favorite.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, no, it was good.
John
That's why I'm like.
Matt
I mean, people, like. I'll run into people who ask me about it.
Kristen Cavallari
Really?
Matt
What about me? Everyone wants to know about that.
Kristen Cavallari
Are you gonna kiss on camera? Are we gonna see that?
Matt
See? Well, wait. This is Aaron after, right?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. So we're gonna see. By the time this airs, we will have seen your last solo date.
Matt
Yeah. My plan, like, going into the whole thing was like, I don't want to, like, try to kiss every girl, which I love. It's just not my style.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
And I knew, too, if I do end up, like, finding the right girl, and then we later watch it together.
Kristen Cavallari
Like, sorry, I made out with everybody.
Matt
Yeah, exactly. So I was like, you know, so.
Kristen Cavallari
We'Re gonna see you kiss on Thursday.
Matt
It's possible.
Kristen Cavallari
Wait, and your date was. Hold on. I have her name.
John
Hold on.
Kristen Cavallari
What was your date's name again? For your. So your last solo date, it was Chelsea. Chelsea. I like her.
Matt
Yeah, she's cool. So we actually kissed off camera first.
Kristen Cavallari
How?
Matt
We were on our date and they're like filming us walking away together. And then we kind of just like dipped into this arena.
Kristen Cavallari
Cute.
Matt
Like nobody was around.
Kristen Cavallari
That's cute.
Matt
And then I think they could. We had our mics on. So I think they like realized.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, yeah.
Matt
Based off what we were saying or whatever, you know? So then they like come running in with the cameras and they're like, you guys have like, did you just kiss? And I'm like, no, just heard me. My lips just like the conversation, I think. And then they come like, running in and they're like, you have to do it again. So. So I negotiated. I made some deals. Yeah. Because I wanted some things.
Kristen Cavallari
Smart.
Matt
I got a couple of cold beers because it's hot out.
Kristen Cavallari
Love that.
Matt
And then I got to have all the girls come up for dinner's place, like, off camera.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, that's great.
Matt
Because it had been like, it was towards the end of the show at that point, and my brother and sister in law, like, hadn't even got to meet. Meet any of them. They live on the same property.
Kristen Cavallari
Wow.
Matt
I was like, all right, like, let the girls come up.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, good.
Matt
So that ended up being like, one of the most fun.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, that's great. Smart. Use it to your advantage.
Matt
A little negotiation.
John
You do like the Shawshank.
Kristen Cavallari
So why did Lily get the first kiss from you?
John
It made the most sense.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Made the most sense. Not very, like, endearing.
Kristen Cavallari
No.
John
And I wanted to.
Matt
Well, it made the most sense.
Kristen Cavallari
I can't wait to see who you guys pick at the end of this thing. Is there a world in which you don't pick anybody? Can that happen?
John
Yeah, it happened last season.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, it did. Should have done more research.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
No, I thought that they brought back the couple from.
Matt
Well, there was four guys.
Kristen Cavallari
Four is a lot, by the way.
John
Especially I think, 40 minutes.
Matt
It's too many to, like.
Kristen Cavallari
It's too many.
Matt
Learn and, like, remember everyone's names and know what's going on.
Kristen Cavallari
That's why I can't remember any of the girls names.
John
Yeah.
Matt
Like, even watching it, like. And then they. They go from like one ranch to the next. They're like, what property am I even looking at?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot. Could you tell if there were girls there that just wanted to be on tv? How could you tell?
Matt
Yeah, you just like a sixth sense. You just kind of know. But I would. I will say I was surprised on how many girls were pretty.
John
Yeah.
Matt
Serious and like, pretty. Like actually there's somebody. Yeah. Genuine. I was. Most of them were. There's a handful that kind of stuck out that weren't.
John
But yeah.
Matt
Yeah, pretty much all of them were like, actually good.
Kristen Cavallari
Like good girls.
Matt
Yeah.
John
I was shocked and at least open to it.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Matt
I can't speak for anyone else too, but like, I'm. I was the oldest out of the guys.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
And so my girls were a little older, like around 30ish. Versus like children. Like some of his early children. I think my girls are like, a little more serious.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, that makes sense.
Matt
But yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, wait, let's talk about the last solo dates because I haven't seen it yet. But this will. We will have by the time this comes out how they go. So obviously yours went well because you were making out.
Matt
Yeah, you could say that went well.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, great. How did yours go?
John
Yours was with Claire.
Kristen Cavallari
Claire.
John
Yeah, they were great. But my God, they were miserable.
Kristen Cavallari
What do you mean?
John
Same time? Well, we just spent the entire evening freezing and sleeping.
Kristen Cavallari
And it was right after the next day.
Matt
Most of the stuff you do is like semi staged, you know, like.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
All these activities we're doing, you're not like, actually. And then we get.
Kristen Cavallari
Wait, no, explain that because so like.
Matt
You'Ll see us like buzzing around on the Ranger with all the girls in there having fun. Well, that was literally like, you know, you come around a corner for 30 seconds and then.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, yeah.
Matt
You know, you're not like actually having fun cruising around.
Kristen Cavallari
They wouldn't let you guys cruise around at all?
John
I did.
Matt
Yeah.
John
That's where I got wet. Really?
Matt
I like them anyone. But like, fuck. Wasn't very fun.
John
Terrible.
Matt
Yeah. And I was alone most of the time by myself.
Kristen Cavallari
That's brutal. But you could go out and do whatever.
John
I had a blast.
Matt
Yeah. Good for you, John. And I see they're like behind the scenes footage and they're all like laughing like.
John
Well, I was told good for you.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, great.
John
I was told prior to going in by like somebody who had experience with stuff like this. And they like asked me, how would you react to like this happening? And I told them they're, like, way wrong. You gotta go into it with the mindset that, like, it's weird, but, like, you gotta go into it with the mindset, like they all are working in your environment and you gotta, like, keep everybody happy.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, interesting.
John
Yeah. So if you start like.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, okay. So how was Claire?
John
Claire was great. Yeah. We had, like, conversations that were very different from everybody else's because we were, like, very different. We had different upbringings, but we agreed on the same values and all that stuff. But do you kiss her on the date?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
Didn't you watch it?
Kristen Cavallari
It's not. I will be getting it tomorrow.
John
Oh, no.
Kristen Cavallari
Why not? We were not feeling.
John
We were miserable, tired, pissed off. Dirty.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Okay.
John
I mean, it was bad.
Matt
Well, back to what I was saying earlier. So, like, you do the stage stuff and then we get to this camping and I'm like, oh, they're going to have us like. Like act like we're camping. No, they're like, that's the one thing.
Kristen Cavallari
You had to do.
Matt
I didn't get, like, everyone had, like, these air mattresses. I didn't get one. I'm like, sleeping on the ground in a tent.
John
Oh, I know. You had it really rough. Matt, he was in the tent by himself. I was outside freezing.
Matt
You could have came in. There's room.
John
I didn't want to sleep.
Kristen Cavallari
What do you mean? You guys?
Matt
Yeah. And then the girls are doing their makeup in the cars in the morning and like, everyone. And then it got really hot. Everyone was pissed off. They didn't give us enough drinks.
John
It was Houston, Texas. So, like, the. The nighttime got freezing cold. And then when the sun come up at like, six in the morning, we were sweating and all we packed was flannel.
Matt
And you're like, on camera in the morning.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
I love camping, but that was not.
Kristen Cavallari
Camping on camera is awful, actually.
John
Awful in the morning, you know, like, we woke up and I woke up looking like a train wrecked, like he.
Matt
Was going to kill somebody.
John
And the producer comes up, he goes. He's like, lay back down. Let us get you waking up. And I looked at first, I didn't comprehend what he said. I go, what? And he's like, just lay back down. Let us get a camera on you. I go, f are you talking about? And I just, like, walked away. It's just, like, good for you. It was just crazy stuff.
Kristen Cavallari
That was the most annoying thing about reality TV is, like, having to walk in and out of a restaurant multiple times. Yeah, Multiple times. Yeah. Crazy.
John
And the waiting around.
Matt
I get it too though, because if you just, you know, it wouldn't look good too.
Kristen Cavallari
I know.
John
It makes sense because it all looks great now.

Matt
Yeah, like I was saying earlier, I'm like what a dork. No, I agree. Yeah, I think I, like I was saying just felt so serious and it wasn't like fun. So I was just like really like kind Of In a weird headspace, I guess.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
I don't know.
Kristen Cavallari
But you're happy? As a cucumber.
John
I'm happy.
Matt
John's just, like, having a blast over there.
John
They. I don't think they altered anything.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, that's good. You feel like it was an accurate.
John
Representation, except for some, like, situations. I was like, it didn't go down like that.
Kristen Cavallari
Just, like, how you reacted to certain things.
Matt
Yeah.
John
And, like, how certain things played out. Like, Kaylee going home. Her and I agreed beforehand. Like, you know, unfortunately, tonight's the night. Like, I have to send you home tonight.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh.
John
But, yeah, we knew that it was not, like, her breaking up with me. It was like us mutually saying, like, yeah, it's time to go. And.
Kristen Cavallari
Interesting. Matt, was there anything like that for you? That was kind of.
Matt
No. They kept us separate. And they're like, don't let her know at all until you tell her. So it's always, like, horrible when it happened.
John
Well, you could have. You don't need to.
Matt
We'd all be, like, having dinner, like, cheersing with wine. The girls are having a blast. And I'm like, hey, can I talk to you over here? And then everyone's like, oh, that would be awful. That was awful.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
You know, at camping, too. What they did to us is that we asked them for booze once the cameras wrapped, and they only gave us two bottles of wine. For What?
Kristen Cavallari
For everybody.
John
15 people.
Matt
No, 20 people.
John
So we had a rat wine, and then they had the fire chief come and put out the fire. Sitting in the dark, freezing. And I spent, like, 20 minutes walking around the entire property collecting lanterns. And then we put them in the fire pits. We had, like, an electric fire.
Matt
I was. The girls couldn't blow up their air mattresses.
John
Yeah.
Matt
So I would go around and do it for them. And I would trade them wine.
John
That was smart.
Matt
Please.
John
Rational.
Kristen Cavallari
They didn't give you a thing to blow it up for them.
Matt
No.
Kristen Cavallari
You're using your mouth to blow up their air mattresses.
Matt
It's horrible.
Kristen Cavallari
That's crazy.
Matt
It's a lot far.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
So was camping your least favorite thing to film, or what else was it?
Matt
Also? It was not fun, that part. But it was the only time the whole cast got to be off camera, off night together one night. So that was, like, fun. We can all find.
John
It was the most fun part I don't want to have again.
Kristen Cavallari
Right, right, right. Okay. Well, what was your least favorite thing to film? Like, was there one thing? Like, having to let a girl go? A Girl leaving?
Matt
I can't say yet.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, it's coming up.
Matt
Yeah, it is.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, I can't wait to see your ending. Your like show ending is your least favorite thing.
Matt
Not that, just part of it.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, I'm dying to know now.
Matt
It was a very fun experience for me.
John
Interesting.
Matt
I'm curious to see how it plays out because we don't get to see it either. So I'm not sure how it plays out.
Kristen Cavallari
So you guys are literally watching it on TV for the first time with everybody else.
John
Yes.
Kristen Cavallari
How nerve wracking is that?
John
Yeah, it's not too bad because I don't remember anything really bad. Like the one thing I was worried about is already long past the Samantha stuff. The Samantha stuff. So now it's just. I'm having a blast.
Kristen Cavallari
That's crazy though that you guys don't get it beforehand.
John
I know.
Kristen Cavallari
Talk to me about this Samantha Tucker Wetmore drama.
John
There's.
Matt
Yeah, I mean, girlfriend. John Casey's actually in that guy.
Kristen Cavallari
Tucker Wetmore.
Matt
No, I'm just kidding. I was just trying to like.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, I like that. Keep it.
Matt
Stoke the fire a little bit. You can't stand that guy.
Kristen Cavallari
Can't stand him.
Matt
I'm kidding.
John
No. I really wish there was some juicy tea to tell you, but there's nothing to it.
Kristen Cavallari
So how did it come about?
John
It came about, I guess. Samantha filmed a TikTok with Tucker Webmore.
Matt
Great.
John
And then we also for StageCoach went with 1am Management company on this bus to the rodeo and then to Stagecoach and for some reason they wrapped the bus with our faces side point.
Matt
Very weird.
John
Hated it.
Kristen Cavallari
But so great.
John
So we're on the bus and you know they're supposed to be making tik toks and content with us because it's like part of the deal with 1am and Fox. So she just happened to make one.
Kristen Cavallari
With Tucker Wetmore's ex girlfriend?
John
Yeah, just I kind of wonder and I didn't think about it until afterwards. Somebody said she used to date Tucker Wetmore. I was like, oh, they made a TikTok.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, I saw it. I was like, wait a minute. I felt like you had no idea.
Matt
He didn't know.
Kristen Cavallari
I know, but she obviously.
John
Obviously. Maybe. I don't know. I doubt it. She said, I don't think she did. Really? Because it was part of the job.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, but why didn't she do one with Matt?
John
Because it was the stop for a minute.
Matt
He is better at TikTok.
John
That's like a two person deal.
Kristen Cavallari
I don't know.
Matt
TikTok's not for me.
John
I know you really wish me and Tucker Wetmore would have it out in the ring.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, kind of.
Matt
I was hoping to, like.
John
There's no reason to.
Matt
I was hoping to, like, set up one of those fights, you know?
John
No, I know.
Matt
Kind of get the whole thing going.
Kristen Cavallari
I know.
John
Yeah. I'll just take a break from exams and fight a country star.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, yeah. You just took your law.
John
Yeah, law school exams. Thank go are done. Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
So did you get it? How does that work? Did you pass?
John
I don't know. We'll find out.
Kristen Cavallari
When do we find out?
John
Yeah, it was just my 2L year. It's not like I'm taking a bar or anything.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, okay. Okay. Got it, got it.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, was there any other juicy drama that happened off camera that we didn't see? Like, anything that didn't make it to air?
Matt
Mine was aired, but it was like that one of the girls, like, snuck out in the morning. All that stuff. You see that?
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, yeah, yeah, I saw that.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
And they thought that she was with you.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
And then everyone accused you of lying.
Matt
Yeah. So I knew at the time when I, like, had to talk about it, I was like, I shouldn't even talk about it because no matter, like, you know, if I did it or not, like, it's. There's gonna be. Half the people are gonna think I did, and so whatever, it's too late now. But.
Kristen Cavallari
And you were not with her?
Matt
No. Ridiculous. It wasn't that big of a deal. And the other girl, like, that was leaving?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
They didn't like each other, and it ended up being this whole thing.
Kristen Cavallari
But so what did you think when you watched it back and you saw that the girls didn't trust. Trust you?
Matt
Oh, I knew they didn't at the time.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, okay.
Matt
I, like. I, like, come down the road in the morning, or the producer calls me, he's like, do you know what's going on down here? And I'm like, no. It's like, first thing in the morning, you know, And I get down there and all the girls are just, like, standing around, like, all pissed off, you know, And I'm like, happened, you know? Oh, my God, it's like 9:00am how did something already go bad?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, literally.
Matt
And then I had to, like, have a big talk with him off camera. And then I had to talk to the other girl, and she had to go stay in a hotel, like, separate, and it was all this drama. And then I had to talk about it on camera.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, my God.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
What about when you watch it back, though, and you hear some of what the girls are saying?
John
Are you like, that's crazy too? Because we didn't know any of that stuff.
Matt
Yeah, I never really thought about it.
John
You know, and then that's when. Yeah. The whole Samantha stuff, that's when it started. I was like, she said all that on the first night? Good God.
Matt
Yeah. We didn't get to see any of that.
Kristen Cavallari
Right.
John
I didn't know I was walking on dental floss.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
John
My God.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Are you kind of like, what the hell?
John
Yeah, it's like, good. I mean, good Lord. But, you know.
Matt
Yeah. It would have changed things if you could.
John
Definitely would have changed stuff if we could have heard.
Kristen Cavallari
Actually be privy to what they're saying. I agree.
John
Well, yeah, but it would have ruined the show.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, true, true.
John
She wouldn't have gone home with me.
Kristen Cavallari
That's true. Oh, true, true. Yeah, true. Okay, I want to play a game with you guys.
John
Okay.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. And it's called Hot or Not. And I'm gonna give you guys scenarios with girls and you just tell me if you think it's hot or not.
John
Okay.
Matt
All right.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. But she's been on multiple reality shows, not dating shows.
John
I.
Kristen Cavallari
In my head, when I wrote this, I was thinking dating shows. Okay.
Matt
No.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay.
Matt
I'd probably say no on that one.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. Okay.
John
It was just normal, like Survivor and stuff.
Matt
Survivor, that's hot. She was on Naked.
John
Naked and Afraid.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. She's a city girl. Okay. You guys don't care about that.
Matt
People. We get asked that so much.
Kristen Cavallari
I'm like, you do.
Matt
I'm not looking for some girl to, like, get out here and, like.
John
Plus, I literally.
Kristen Cavallari
What if she's a farmer also?
Matt
Either way, I'm fine either way.
Kristen Cavallari
She wants to introduce you to her parents after three dates.
John
Whatever.
Matt
That's not like a black and white question.
Kristen Cavallari
She just. She's moving quickly, you know? But maybe you are, too.
Matt
Maybe if we're really falling in love.
Kristen Cavallari
It'S like farmer wants away.
John
Oh, man.
Matt
Yeah, we technically did not going to answer.
Kristen Cavallari
I know. Yeah, you're not going to answer.
Matt
True.
Kristen Cavallari
You're leading the fifth. Okay. She's the homebody that. No. Oh, you're a big party guy. You like to get out and about. I know. You're a social butterfly.
Matt
That's not hot to be at home all the time. I'm never at home.
Kristen Cavallari
What are you doing? Just out doing stuff?
Matt
I don't know. No, I like. I mean, I like being at home sometimes.
Kristen Cavallari
But okay.
Matt
I like to be.
Kristen Cavallari
You like it?
John
Yeah.
Matt
When I. When I think homebody, I think of someone, like, lounging like a bum, watching tv.
John
Well, yeah, there's a difference between that.
Kristen Cavallari
True. I'm a homebody. Like, I never want to leave my house.
John
Yeah. But I mean, look at it. This takes work.
Kristen Cavallari
Thank you.
John
Yeah. You're not just lounging.
Kristen Cavallari
True. No, I'm not.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
I don't even. You guys, your show's the only show I've watched in months. I don't watch tv.
Matt
I don't either.
John
Thank you. Yeah, we don't.
Matt
I never watched the show before.
John
Yeah. I don't even know what show we're on.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, I didn't.
Matt
I watched a little bit of season two after I knew I was gonna be on it, and I was like, I should probably take a look at this.
John
Research purposes.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, that was smart. Okay. She wants six kids.
Matt
Kids.
Kristen Cavallari
I feel like you. Did you say that on the show?
John
Yeah, I did.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
You want a bunch, too?
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
She's been drinking when you pick her up for your first date.
John
Depends on how much. Because that's annoying the way you're saying.
Matt
And I. Oh, you can tell.
Kristen Cavallari
You can tell.
John
Don't even get in the car.
Kristen Cavallari
Right.
John
Keep trying.
Matt
Yeah, she had, like, a glass of wine. Fine, but.
Kristen Cavallari
Right, right, right.
John
One girl did that and accidentally told me she smoked Method Death.
Kristen Cavallari
What?
John
While she was all drunk.
Matt
Good Lord.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, my date.
John
Like, my God. Let me buy you a drink. You don't need to get slammed before the date.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Teeth and stuff. Or do you have missing teeth?
John
She did it one time, apparently.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, my God.
Matt
What kind of people are you hanging out with?
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. What is happening over there?
John
I don't know.
Matt
Geez, I wonder. You went on the show, needed some help.
Kristen Cavallari
She swears like a trucker.
Matt
Not.
Kristen Cavallari
Not.
Matt
Yeah, I don't, like. I don't have anything against it, but.
John
It depends on what kind. If she's like.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah. If it's an F bomb, left and right.
Matt
Well, until, like, know your crowd. Like, know where you're at, you know?
Kristen Cavallari
100. Okay. Okay. She's an influencer.
John
Typically. That's not because.
Matt
Yeah, no, I think that could go either way.
Kristen Cavallari
I know.
Matt
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
So what if you're dating and she's always filming content and she, like. You know what I mean?
Matt
Yeah. I mean, I want to be a real person, too.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
Like, not talking about anyone, but we're all these influencer people. And, like, granted, we're at Stagecoach, but, like, no one was Even, like, enjoying.
Kristen Cavallari
I know.
Matt
Event, you know?
Kristen Cavallari
I know, I know. Everyone's worried about their next ticket.
Matt
I don't think I could be an influencer because I get wrapped up when I'm like, Stagecoach, I was just having a blast. I didn't take, like, any photos or.
Kristen Cavallari
Videos, you know, that's how it should be. Yeah. All right. John, what about you? Hot or not?
John
It's hot. Because usually they're good looking. I mean, if they're. If their influencers are usually very good looking, but.
Kristen Cavallari
But okay, that's fair. That's fair. Okay. So hot.
John
Hot in that sense. In the shallow sense. Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay, fair. She already has a kid. You already said it earlier.
Matt
I've dated.
Kristen Cavallari
You've dated girls with kids. Didn't. Oh, no. One of the girls was married before. Alex was married before, but she didn't have any kids. Right.
Matt
Oh, no, that Alex. I was like, who?
Kristen Cavallari
Alex. That was one of your.
Matt
She was married.
John
She's your ex, Alex.
Matt
I forgot. Us.
Kristen Cavallari
Your ex girlfriend.
Matt
Yeah, she was married briefly, I believe. No kids, though.
Kristen Cavallari
No kids.
Matt
Okay.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, but you've dated girls with kids. Okay.
Matt
So, I mean, it's. Yeah. Super hot.
Kristen Cavallari
Super hot. That's super hot.
Matt
Yeah. John does that story.
Kristen Cavallari
Do you guys like being in entertainment? Will you, like, pursue this or are you excited for life to go back to normal?
John
It's pretty fun.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
I mean, right now we've been having a blast. Like, if we just keep doing this stuff, we're just getting, like, flown around and doing cool events.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah.
Matt
And, like, not, you know, enjoying ourselves.
John
So I don't know where it could go. So it's just, you know, just go.
Kristen Cavallari
Along post or something.
John
Depends on what it is.
Kristen Cavallari
I don't think anyone wants a wifi.
Matt
Both of us. Yeah.
John
Farmer wants a husband. Because then they would switch. Yeah, that's us.
Matt
Heard it here first. God.
Kristen Cavallari
I know. We can cut that out if you want.
Matt
Who cares?
Kristen Cavallari
No, you guys are the best. I really appreciate you being here and I need you to send me avocados.
Matt
I know. I was gonna bring some stuff, but we're not quite in season, so.
Kristen Cavallari
When is avocado season?
Matt
It's, like, just starting, but they get better as time goes on. I'll send you a box.
Kristen Cavallari
I can't wait. I can't wait. What can you send me?
Matt
What do you got?
John
Anything you want, I guess. We brought you gifts today.
Kristen Cavallari
What'd you bring me?
Matt
I almost forgot.
John
Yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
Okay. Let's see.
Matt
It's not gonna match anything here. So.
John
Full disclosure.
Kristen Cavallari
Well, this is just like maybe my house will let's.
Matt
No, I don't think so.
John
I'll tell you why. I mean, we. Full disclosure. We were on the way and we're like, we should get her something, obviously.
Kristen Cavallari
Is that why you guys were late?
Matt
Yeah, yeah.
John
So we stopped at an antique store of all places.
Kristen Cavallari
I love that.
John
And we were just like, let's go in and find something. It'll be easy. But we ended up spending like 20 minutes in there. And our brain. Because there's stuff everywhere.
Matt
Well, we felt dumb cuz we didn't think about it till we got in the car. Like we didn't bring anything.
Kristen Cavallari
You guys didn't have to give me anything though, by the way.
John
Well, we wanted this like a new studio.
Kristen Cavallari
Warm is phenomenal.
Matt
Yeah, don't worry, you can do that.
John
One first and then you can open this one. There's.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, wait, no. This is awesome, you guys.
Matt
That's the two of us.
John
Yeah. So that's like representation of what remember us? Oh, we left the price tag on.
Matt
The price tag still.
John
Dang it.
Matt
I thought she dig it off. Pull that off.
John
Ignore that.
Kristen Cavallari
So funny. No, you guys, this is awesome. I love this. Thank you.
John
Yeah, anytime.
Matt
Yeah, we pre planned that months in advance. Don't worry.
John
Right there, Right here.
Matt
Oh, yeah.
John
Feng shui.
Matt
Farmer Matt. Farmer John.
John
Very Chicago. Here was the other one.
Kristen Cavallari
It's nice if you guys even get me anything at all. Matt, you don't want to help out?
Matt
No, yeah, he really.
John
I don't think he wants to take credit for this one. I don't know, I was just. I don't want to be in the store. And I saw it, it like spoke to me. So it was kind of nice.
Matt
John goes, how about this? And I'm like, I love it.
Kristen Cavallari
Right here.
John
Perfect.
Matt
Kind of scary.
John
It's like a reflection of our own mortality, you know, it's just like.
Kristen Cavallari
This is great. Like an Italian grandma.
John
Yeah, yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
She seems sweet, she seems great.
John
She probably smells terrible, but she looks like she makes great food.
Kristen Cavallari
You guys, thank you.
Matt
So specific to John.
Kristen Cavallari
Thank you so much. So sweet.
Matt
Did ourselves here.
Kristen Cavallari
You guys really went above and beyond. No, you guys are the best. And I appreciate you coming to Nashville. Thank you for being here. It's the best.
Matt
This is our third time here in like.
John
Yeah, three months.
Kristen Cavallari
I love that. Well, next time you come, you have to let me know again. We'll go hit up Broadway.
John
We'll do it.
Kristen Cavallari
We'll do it right?
Matt
Just what we need.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, right.
John
I like it. Better out here, to be honest.
Kristen Cavallari
I know. I only dip into Nashville periodically. Okay, but tell everyone where they can find the show and then where they can find you guys individually.
Matt
Arizona Fox, Thursday nights live, I guess you could say.
John
Yeah, your local Fox station, 98 Central through May.
Matt
Still trying to get that down. Right. I think we're like three or four more episodes left.
Kristen Cavallari
Well, okay. By the time this airs, I think there's three more.
Matt
Okay, three more. And then you also. The next day. And then you can also find it online.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, nice. Okay, that's great.
John
It's on Disney plus too, because I guess they're together and then. Yeah, and then our socials.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, throw out the socials, guys.
John
Not John Sansone.
Matt
Mine's pretty boring. It's just Matt Warren.
John
How many underscores though? You gotta.
Kristen Cavallari
Oh, you gotta throw 30. They'll never find you.
Matt
Yeah, they'll never find.
John
Come on, it's like what, six of them?
Matt
No, it's three. So I could find the closest I can find.
Kristen Cavallari
Do you really have three?
Matt
It's the closest I could find.
John
Yeah, it's. It's.
Matt
Oh, that's not very good at that because I'm not like John over here.
Kristen Cavallari
I know. Well, we all can't be tick tock stars.
Matt
I know.
John
You know?
Matt
You know how many people have said to me like, I've never watched the show, but. But I see John's tick toc.
John
Yeah, yeah.
Kristen Cavallari
He's just carrying this.
John
He makes good ones too.
Kristen Cavallari
Overlapping sounds with a little boy in it. Who was that boy?
Matt
My nephew.
Kristen Cavallari
Your nephew? That was cute.
Matt
Yeah, that was cute.
John
He knows what he's doing with that.
Kristen Cavallari
Yeah, he sure does.
Matt
He knows what he.
Kristen Cavallari
I think you guys both know what you're doing.
Matt
No.
Kristen Cavallari
I can't wait to see who you guys pick and see who your new. Your new wife is.
John
Oh, yeah.
Matt
It'S going to be fun.
John
Thanks for having us so much.
Matt
