The following podcast is a Dear Media Production. This is let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari, a podcast all about getting real and open on everything from sex, relationships, reality tv, wellness, family, and so much more. And just a fair warning, there will probably be some oversharing. Cause I got all the power.
Justin Anderson
Yep.
Kristin Cavallari
Welcome in to. Let's be honest. Today is a very unique episode. First of all, we have Justin Anderson here.
Justin Anderson
I'm back. I'm here.
Kristin Cavallari
It's been a minute.
Justin Anderson
It has. A long minute. Why?
Kristin Cavallari
When was the last time you were on the podcast?
Justin Anderson
I feel like it's been a while. I feel like. Because we shot your show.
Kristin Cavallari
Podcast tour.
Justin Anderson
Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
So it's been. It's been months. We've missed you.
Justin Anderson
I feel like we've done a lot of. Let's be honest though, for a little while though.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, we needed to take a break. We were getting in too much trouble. No, but it's good to have you back. The people have been asking about you, so.
Justin Anderson
Oh, thank you. I'm here.
Kristin Cavallari
He's here.
Justin Anderson
Thanks for having me.
Kristin Cavallari
And this is not my podcast studio. So we are at one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville. We are at a place called so Sushi Bar. I've talked about it on the podcast before. It is Amakase style. So we're gonna take you guys through this. It is a 16 course meal, one piece of sushi each, each course. And we are doing a sake pairing. So there's no telling what's about to happen.
Justin Anderson
Yeah, we love this place. We thought, what better place to do it than at Sushi Bar? We've come here before for New Year's. We came here. We got wild that night. You know, we got wild. We were in this room. Like, the rooms are like, private, so it's really small. So you're like, wow. With a group of people, even if you're not at dinner with them. And we got so loud that night, but they liked it. We turned it up. I feel like we turned it into New Year's.
Kristin Cavallari
We brought the energy. We did.
Justin Anderson
Then we came for Sailor's birthday. Or was it Jackson's birthday?
Kristin Cavallari
Sailor's birthday.
Justin Anderson
Sailor's birthday.
Kristin Cavallari
Sailor's birthday.
Justin Anderson
Yeah, we came for Sailor's birthday. We love this spot. And they're all over, but Nashville's the best one.
Kristin Cavallari
How many locations do you guys have? Five locations. Miami, right?
Justin Anderson
Miami Beach.
Kristin Cavallari
Yep.
Justin Anderson
You've done the Miami one, right?
Kristin Cavallari
I think so. So anyways, so we are going to do celebrity gossip because that's what you Guys seem to always love, from Justin.
Justin Anderson
And I, celebrity gossip, but more pop culture, just in general. We were talking about this a lot because I love, like, pop culture and, like, I love to keep up on, like, I like celebrity news, probably because we come from that world. And, like, my world was doing, like, celebrity hair forever. And, like, I think celebrities are fascinating. I think that whole world is kind of fascinating. Not in the way of, like, oh, my God, I idolize celebrities. But, like, I like excitement. I like some drama, you know, it's like a soap opera, you know, but it's like real life happening to people or whatever. So I like to keep on it, up on it way more than Kristen does. And she, like, gives me a hard time. It's like, how do you know this shit? And I don't know how I know it, but.
Kristin Cavallari
Well, I know nothing that's going on. Well, I know a little bit. Obviously, I don't live under a rock. Like, I know that Katy Perry just went to space.
Justin Anderson
Oh, good Lord.
Kristin Cavallari
But, like, other than that, I know the whole, like, Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni drama to an extent.
Justin Anderson
You don't, like, really know what's happening there.
Kristin Cavallari
I don't know the details. Yeah, so we can. We can get there. But let's start with Katy Perry and all these other women supposedly going to space.
Justin Anderson
Do you think the earth is flat?
Kristin Cavallari
I don't know. That one's.
Justin Anderson
No, don't say that ever.
Kristin Cavallari
That one's a little debatable for me. But I definitely do not think we went to the moon.
Justin Anderson
Oh, my God.
Kristin Cavallari
Do you think that we went to the moon?
Justin Anderson
So many people have tried to convince me of this, that it was like a movie set and it wasn't real. And, like, when they start saying it, I kind of have to check out because I don't want to believe it. I don't want to believe that we were that lied to.
Kristin Cavallari
Everything is a lie. Okay? Think about it.
Justin Anderson
But I don't really think we went.
Kristin Cavallari
We did not.
Justin Anderson
Like, if you see the footage, it's kind of freaky. And it's also weird that, like, haven't we never gone back since?
Kristin Cavallari
We haven't gone back since. But also. So they had footage of. What was it called? What was the thing called that landed on the moon. There's a name for it. I just did the Space Center Friday with Jackson for a field trip.
Justin Anderson
You already forgot.
Kristin Cavallari
I saw it, and I forgot also. They were like, here's moon rock. And all the kids were like, you got that on Amazon?
Justin Anderson
No.
Kristin Cavallari
Literally, Was at the space center on Friday in Huntsville, and the kids were rousting our. Our guide. This poor kid.
Justin Anderson
I mean, that's a topic that will get people so fired up. Because it's like, what was the guy. Oh, my gosh, this is so bad right now I'm blinking. But what was his name? Who landed on the moon? Armstrong.
Kristin Cavallari
Neil Armstrong.
Justin Anderson
Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. But even, like, recently, somebody confron about it or like a few years ago or something, and he, like, lost it on the guy. Rav. I don't know why can't. When there's a conspiracy theory there's something out there. Why can't someone just logically explain it to people to shut it down? That's when I get thrown off a little bit.
Kristin Cavallari
He actually went on talk shows and said it was not real.
Justin Anderson
He did?
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah. He has come out publicly and said that it was, in fact, not real also. So here's my thing. No, I swear to God, Google it. Can the team Google it? But they had footage of whatever that thing was leaving. And how they get that footage then if that was left behind on the moon. Do you know what I'm saying? Also, they made a phone call to the White House from the moon. I can't even get fucking cell service out where I live. I can't even have the Internet at my house.
Justin Anderson
We can't do this. There's no way. Okay, so it's a possibility that it did happen.
Kristin Cavallari
It's a possibility.
Justin Anderson
I just don't want to believe.
Kristin Cavallari
Okay, so Katy Perry did not go to the moon. But what was all the conspiracy theories behind that? They said, remember she, like, opened up the door and then the news cut that, like, when they landed back.
Justin Anderson
So when they were filming the footage, they showed Bezos going to, like, let the women out of the space shuttle or whatever. And the door is supposed to open out, and the door opened in. Like, you see the door. You can Google this. This isn't a conspiracy theory. You can Google the door comes in, and they really quickly shut the door. And then he runs over. Then he, like, opens up the door. And the whole idea is that, like, something going up to space like that because of the pressure. You need, like, the pressure to hold the door shut, you know, or it could be vice versa. It's either going out or in. But it totally messed up on camera. And it's all over the Internet. Like, you can look it up. But then. So they had that. So people were like, did it really go up there? If the door is not even opening the right way. And it wasn't actually sealed tight, you know, because when it. When it accidentally opened in, they shut it really quick, right?
Kristin Cavallari
And they cut all that out of the news. Out of the news. It was all over the Internet, but.
Justin Anderson
You can find it on the Internet. But then you see him come running over, like he's the superhero, and he, like, has to unwind the door or whatever to open it, to unlock it.
Kristin Cavallari
It's like, bro, it was just open.
Justin Anderson
It just opened on its own. So that kind of, like, set people off or whatever. They didn't technically go into space. It's like they just broke through, like, the vortex or whatever. But I think the thing that was so ridiculous is, like, the world feels like it's on fire right now. Like, everyone's just, like, struggling with things or complaining about things. Like, people have it really hard. People are talking about they can't afford life or whatever. And then you have these women just going up to space for, like, five minutes. Yeah. For millions of dollars. And they were trying to act like it was some sort of, like, empowerment thing. Like, we did this woman power. It's for, like, girls, and I love woman power, and I think women should rule the world. But, like, that's embarrassing. Like, you sat in a spaceship and you shot up to the sky. They had, like, perfect hair done. That was embarrassing.
Kristin Cavallari
I know.
Justin Anderson
Like, their hair was, like, perfectly flowing, and Katy Perry's, like, singing her little.
Kristin Cavallari
Daisy her little Daisy that she had.
Justin Anderson
So I think it was just one of those things that completely backfired. I think they thought everyone's gonna be like, oh, my God, this is so rad. This is so inspiring. It's so incredible. But everyone was like, this is so unnecessary and, like, stupid and embarrassing.
Kristin Cavallari
Also, I don't know if there's any credibility to this, but I heard that if you have implants, they burst in space. So Jeff Bezos wife cannot go in space. I can't either.
Justin Anderson
No way. Because of the pressure.
Kristin Cavallari
That's what I've heard. I mean.
Justin Anderson
No, but I bet. I bet inside of a spaceship or whatever, you're pressurized.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, that's true.
Justin Anderson
You know, it's not like, imagine. They all just pop. It's all pop, pop, pop, pop. And Jeff Bezos wife, I mean, her whole body is silicone. She is. That woman is frightening looking.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, my God. Not. No. Here's our first sushi.
Justin Anderson
Oh, here comes our first sushi. This is going to be hard for us. Try to stay quiet.
Kristin Cavallari
Also eating on and Doing a podcast probably not the best idea. I didn't think about that.
C
You're going to be first.
Kristin Cavallari
Thank you.
C
So this is our bluefin tuna tartare. Three different cuts of the Spanish bluefin that we get in. So in this mix, there's some preserved radish, a little spring onion, some freshly grated wasabi that is coming out of Half Mo Bay, California. Then a very nice crunch factor from forbidden rice or pop. Just like popcorn.
Kristin Cavallari
Wow.
C
It has been laid inside a leaf of shiso, nice little aromatic notes of mint and basil, and then wrapped inside a crispy sheet of nori to finish it off.
Justin Anderson
What did you say came from California? Katy Perry's backyard is in her garden, her organic garden.
C
It's actually a hydroponically grown California.
Kristin Cavallari
That's so good.
Justin Anderson
Kakumin Bay is amazing. There's amazing surfing there. I think there's, like, one of the biggest surf spots in California there. Oh, this is sexy. Eating sushi on camera.
Kristin Cavallari
Thank you.
Justin Anderson
You're very welcome.
Kristin Cavallari
All right, what's this, Daniel?
D
It is hakkatsuru awayuki. It's a fun, sparkling sake. It comes out of the Hyogo prefecture of Japan.
Justin Anderson
Call this one dangerously drinkable.
D
Its nickname is bubbly Snow. So I like the package and even the style, emblematic of its flavor, kind of fun, light cherish gives a little aromatics to the palette.
Justin Anderson
Bubbly snow.
Kristin Cavallari
Bubbly snow.
Justin Anderson
Kristen's personality.
Kristin Cavallari
This looks so good.
Justin Anderson
I thought the funniest thing, though, about the whole, like, space. That's really good. Whoa.
Kristin Cavallari
I want to write that down.
Justin Anderson
She got a little kick to her. That's so she's, like, sweet with a good fizz.
Kristin Cavallari
Dangerously. What'd you say?
Justin Anderson
Yeah, it really is. It's, like, super.
Kristin Cavallari
I love that. I want that. I'm going to drink this all.
Justin Anderson
Every day. Mom was always. Wait for the last thing I want to say about the Katy Perry thing. Like, the rocket ship thing is like, Katy Perry cannot catch a break.
Kristin Cavallari
All right, guys, let's take a quick moment here to talk about Quince. I think a lot of you listeners know that I have been doing some renovations on my house, and one of the things that I was doing was actually adding on to my closet. So since I've lived in this house, I've been basically living out of boxes and one rolling rack back. Well, I finally was able to hang up all of my clothes and, like, I'm pulling out all my summer stuff now. It's all the same tanks, same shorts, really same everything that, honestly, I've had for years. So I decided I was gonna do a little shopping and I gave my daily uniform an upgrade with Quince. Their pieces are easy, they're elevated, and somehow they make me feel more put together without even trying to. They have these 100 European linen shorts and dresses from just $30. Luxe swimwear, Italian leather platform sandals, and so much more. And the best part, guys, everything with quince is priced 50 to 80% less than what you'd find at similar brands. We love you for that, Quince. Like I said, I was just on the site browsing. I actually did order a few things, like those linen shorts that I was talking to you guys about. I mean, the list goes on and on. But I recently realized that I was completely overlooking maybe the most fundamental step, and that's the water that I shower in. Clean water is the first step to an effective beauty routine. And it's a step that for years I just completely overlooked. If you guys haven't picked it up by now. Jolie is a filtered shower head and I've been using it now for maybe six months or so. And I swear I've noticed a difference. Not in just my hair, but also my skin. Justin Anderson
We, I think we've always known that she was like kind of the biggest nerd ever. I've worked with her. She was nice enough, but she's a geek. Like she's like totally dorky. Like it's not, she's not growing into anything. It's like she's still doing that same personality. It's like it's not working anymore and she kind of plays into it like she's like part of the joke, but she's not. You know, it's kind of like, no. People are really like kind of laughing at this.
Kristin Cavallari
You did her hair.
Justin Anderson
I burnt her hair off. Not only did I do her hair, I burnt her hair Off. I've told this story so many times. So sorry.
Kristin Cavallari
Not on this podcast.
Justin Anderson
I know this podcast. She had come to me. I was like, known as like, the blonde guy in Hollywood. Like, I could make anybody blonde and I could keep their hair really healthy and make them really blonde. So people would always send me people's hair if it was fried or if they were trying to go blonde for the first time and they were really, really dark. Katie was trying to go blonde, so she had gone to somebody else and they couldn't quite get it there. So they were like, you have to go to Justin Anderson. He'll for sure take you. He'll take you there. So she came into me and I met her. Her hair was busted. Cause remember, she had like that black hair forever. And it was like black hair dyed over and over. So to go from that to blonde.
Kristin Cavallari
Hair, what's her natural color?
Justin Anderson
It's dark, like a dark brown. But to go from that, like dyed black hair to platinum blonde is like virtually impossible. So when she came into me, they had been bleaching it over and over and her hair was like, crisp. And I told her, I was like, katie, your hair will break off, like, if we do anything to. I was very honest about it, but she was like, let's just push it. And I was like, I mean, there's a slight chance that I can do it. And I always had so much confidence with my skills because, like, I really was good at getting people so blonde, so. But I told her, I'm like, your hair is going to break off. And she's like, what if we just, like, risk it? Let's see if we can do it. So she was totally. She knew that we were like, on, like in like murky waters or whatever. Her hair was about to her shoulders almost, and it was like this like apricot color. Like, it was so bad. So I went in late at night because she was so fucking late to her appointment late at night. I had three assistants there. It's like 11 o' clock at night. We start the project. I do a full head of foils, like tiny back to back foils. Like every single piece of her hair was in a foil to go blonder. And I used like the most gentle bleach that you could use. And I actually thought it wasn't going to do enough. I was like, okay, I'm being really safe. It's going to pull it slightly to there. I might have to do it one more time. Put it in. As I got to the top of her head, all the foils in the back just started falling out. Falling out. Like, meaning literally, her hair is breaking off at the roof. No. It was so bad. And my assistant, like, started tapping me on the arm. And I look over there just, like, dropping. So I'm like, hey, let's go up to the shampoo bowl. So we go up there, we start rinsing out. She, like, looks at me. She's like, my hair's falling out. And I. But at that point, I was like, katie, your hair is totally falling out.
Kristin Cavallari
Like, oh, my God.
Justin Anderson
It was the big. She was so cool. After she ended up calling me that, say, she kept coming to me because then that's when she got the blonde pixie cut, that really short pixie cut. She kept coming back to me. Every time she came into me, I would get diarrhea because I was, like, so nervous. Like, it, like, made the worst. It was the worst experience of my life because I.
Kristin Cavallari
She had hair on top still for that pixie.
Justin Anderson
She had, like, longer hair on top, but the back was, like, shaved up the back and then a little bit longer on the top. Whoa. It was bad, like, in the sense that, like, it was the worst experience for a hairdresser to ever deal with. Like, that night, I was driving home and I was like, I want to drive off of the crib. I felt so bad. But she called the next day and she's like, you told me you said up front you were like, your hair is going to break. And I was the one who was like, let's just try it.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
So it was kind of like an experiment type thing. But anyways, I was responsible fun for you.
C
All right, guys, so for our first bite of New Year the evening, we have shima aji or chabali beer. This is a firm, textured flesh fish with a very subtle sweetness to it.
Kristin Cavallari
So it's going to get a little.
C
Sweeter the longer you chew up. Garnished with the zest and juice of the Meyer lemon and then a bright fermentation of Fresno chilies to help awaken your palate for the rest of the lights.
Justin Anderson
Wow.
Kristin Cavallari
Thank you.
Justin Anderson
I want to point out to anyone who's watching that we are supposed to be eating with our fingers. Oh, yeah. Good call.
Kristin Cavallari
Good call.
Justin Anderson
I just imagine the YouTube comments.
Kristin Cavallari
Good call.
Justin Anderson
They're animals.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, that's so good.
Justin Anderson
That is really good.
Kristin Cavallari
I like that a lot.
Justin Anderson
That kick of lemon is so good. Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
My only experience with Katy Perry, I actually forgot.
Justin Anderson
But you hooked up with her. No.
Kristin Cavallari
So it's so funny, because you and I, for. Honestly, Cavalieri, we were just searching in my cloth. Well, in my boxes of clothes for the VMA dress that I wore this, like, vintage sparkly dress. It's, like, one of the only dresses that I have from an event or anything over the years, but I kept this dress. And actually, I think it was my kids. Katy Perry came up in conversation, and I was like, no, I don't think I've ever met her. And my kids were like, there's a picture of you with her on the Internet. And I was like, wait, what? So they Googled it. Katie and I wore really similar dresses to the VMAs in probably 2009, 2008, or 2009. And so we took a photo together on the red carpet. I had completely forgotten about it, but I just found that dress. You and I couldn't find that dress.
Justin Anderson
And I was hanging up all the time. Why were we searching for that?
Kristin Cavallari
I was gonna potentially wear it on my podcast tour.
Justin Anderson
That would've been so cute. And we didn't find it. No.
Kristin Cavallari
So I found it the other day.
Justin Anderson
You did? Where? Was it not in those boxes?
Kristin Cavallari
No, it was. We just didn't see it. I finally hung up all of my clothes in my closet.
Justin Anderson
Do you remember how she was with you?
Kristin Cavallari
She was really nice, from what I remember. Really nice. Yeah.
Justin Anderson
She's an interesting character.
Kristin Cavallari
As are most people in Hollywood.
Justin Anderson
Yeah. But she does this one thing that. And I really do want to say that she was nice to me. She was very nice to me. But she does this one thing that always, like, throws me off that people do. You know, when you meet someone, and they'll kind of point at someone, something about you almost to make you, like, you know. Have you read a friend, like, who you come, they're like, oh, fancy.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
So it's like, immediately to put you kind of on guard where you're like, okay, did I overdress? Do I look like I can't stand when people do that? Right. So years before I did Katie's hair, I went to a party. I think it was at her house. I went to a party at her house with a friend, walked up to meet her, and I wear a lot of jewelry. Right. I was wearing, like, my love bracelets at the time when the love bracelets were so cool. And she immediately went like. Like this. She went, ooh, three love races. She's like, somebody's rich like that in front of, like, a group of people. And, like, first of all, what do you say to that, like, I know. Yeah. Yeah, I am. Yeah, I am. I do really well for myself. Like, you know, like, whatever. And then she. She said to me, she was like, what family do you come from? Do you come from a rich family? It was like the most bizarre interaction, right?
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
So I remember walking away from that being like, that's so annoying to ask them like that. Like, I hate when people do that. Like, put you on the spot like that. Because what are you ever supposed to say when someone's like, you look fancy or, like, I know. Rich. Nice watch. You know, like, you don't know what to say.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
So then listen to this. Years later, she comes in to do my hair. Like it's the first time we've ever met before. Walks in, sits in my chair, and literally, she's like, ooh, fancy bracelet. She's like. She's like, three love bracelets. And I literally was like, oh, bitch. So that's your thing. Like, you. When you meet someone, it's kind of, I think, to put someone in their place.
Kristin Cavallari
Me, too.
Justin Anderson
I think it's a major insecurity thing. And I wonder if she has any idea that she does this, but the fact that she did it to me the two times that I met her, I'm like, oh, that's your thing.
Kristin Cavallari
Remember meeting you at a party?
Justin Anderson
Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
And it was like, yeah, really quick meeting. There was, like, a bunch of people there, whatever. But she came back in. When she sat in my chair was the first thing she said to me. And to me, because I was around so many of those kind of people for so long. And you were, too. Like, there's certain personality types. Like, I don't know. Either people are really lovely and they're warm or, like. But people a lot of times have, like, these weird quirks that they'll do with everyone. So some times people say, like, have you met so and so? And it's like, yeah. Like, oh, did she do Blah, blah, blah. Like, they have a thing about them. And with Katie, I think it's a massive insecurity, and I think it's to immediately put someone in their place.
Kristin Cavallari
It's to make her feel better about herself.
Justin Anderson
Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
It's to, like, make her feel better than you and almost to kind of.
Justin Anderson
Like, set the hierarchy or something.
Kristin Cavallari
That's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Justin Anderson
Like, I.
Kristin Cavallari
To, like, know your place.
Justin Anderson
That stuff grosses me out. Like, I think it's such an insecurity.
Kristin Cavallari
Like, 100%. Me, too. That's gross. Okay, we have another one.
C
All right, guys, so for this bite, we have madai. This is a Japanese red sea bre garnished with a brushing of a ponzu sauce that we made in house of some black Australian winter truffles. And then just a finely shaved piece of truffle. And finish it off.
Kristin Cavallari
That's my favorite so far, I think. I like that. One last time, too.
Justin Anderson
That truffle. Truffle is so good. Do you know what it smells like?
Kristin Cavallari
You're about to tell me what it.
Justin Anderson
Smells like a jock strap a little bit, which I think is hard.
Kristin Cavallari
I wouldn't know. I've never smelt a jock strap.
Justin Anderson
I love truffle so much. That's probably what it is.
Kristin Cavallari
That's really funny.
Justin Anderson
Every gay man loves truffle.
Kristin Cavallari
All right, well, that's Katy Perry.
Justin Anderson
Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
What else is going on in the world right now?
Justin Anderson
Oh, well, the Blake Lively.
Kristin Cavallari
And I did see that Taylor Swift just got subpoenaed.
Justin Anderson
Oh, how happy that make you?
Kristin Cavallari
No, obviously, I thought it was. Well, I saw what her lawyer said. That was like, she had to license her song that they used in the movie along with 19 other artists. And Taylor Swift is the one being subpoenaed. Like, you could use any of the other ones.
Justin Anderson
Well, it's because. Yeah, to garner attention. But also.
Kristin Cavallari
No, but they're friends, though.
Justin Anderson
They're friends. And Blake threw her under the bus. Blake wrote a letter to Justin Baldoni. It's between the two of them, technically, from this movie. It ends with us. And Blake wrote him, like, a text message referencing Taylor Swift and Taylor being kind of like her dragons from Game of Thrones. It was the gayest thing I've ever heard. She was like, my dragons like Ryan and Taylor. So she basically brought Taylor into it. So they're subpoenaed her. I think it's such a bummer. You know, I'm a massive Taylor Swift fan. I have met her in person. I think she's a wonderful person. I think Taylor really does, like, get bamboozled by bad people.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
I think Taylor gets excited about new friends. Like, and I think that, like, she's too nice. She's too nice. And the thing is, it's like. Cause, okay, because here's the thing people will say to me, they're like, justin, you love Taylor Swift so much, but I can't stand Blake Lively. Four reasons. Like, I have reasons why I cannot stand the woman, and I've heard it for years. And I always say in Hollywood, if you hear it over and over that someone is an absolute nightmare. At some point, it's gonna come out. So when this whole thing came out about Blake Lively, there wasn't even a part of me. It was like, oh, my God. I was like, oh, of course. Like, I've been hearing about it for years from really. From people who are really, really close to her. Like, it's a known thing. Like, in the beauty world, you know, makeup artists, everybody's talking. Yeah. Everyone who's on sets and stuff. Everybody's always talked about what a nightmare she is. So it's going to come out at some point. But people are like, you don't like Blake so much. How can you like Taylor if she's, like, her best friend? I'm like, I don't think that means anything. I think also in Hollywood, there's a hierarchy thing. Taylor is the much more famous one in that friendship. So Blake is kissing Taylor's ass all the time. So Taylor seen the best version of Blake.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, yeah.
Justin Anderson
You know what I'm saying?
Kristin Cavallari
That's such a good point.
Justin Anderson
Like, Blake's never going to be an asshole to Taylor because she needs something from Taylor. So. And I think for Taylor, I think Taylor's arguably one of the most famous women in the world, but she's probably the most famous woman in the world that everyone's nice to Taylor. So Taylor could leave any situation. Like, oh, my gosh, they were so lovely. And you're like, you thought they were lovely, but because they're going to be nice to Taylor. And all my years in being around those really famous women, and I would see them at parties or I'd go to their house for a dinner, and I would look around. Like, the way that people treat the most famous person in a room is so wild. So you can't go off of that.
Kristin Cavallari
Because the most famous sign.
Justin Anderson
Most famous person in any situation could be friends with everyone. Because everyone. Everyone's going to be nice.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, exactly. They're not seeing the real person.
Justin Anderson
So I think that Taylor got bamboozled by Blake. Blake's.
Kristin Cavallari
And so you don't think they're friends anymore, you think?
Justin Anderson
I think this will end it. I think that Taylor's also one of those people. Like, once you cross that line, she will. You're done. Like, she'll be done with you. Like, Taylor is smart. She's not going to let somebody, like, tarnish her reputation.
Kristin Cavallari
I was going to say, I feel like it's all about her image right now, and she doesn't want to be dragged into this in a friendship.
Justin Anderson
Like, they're supposedly supposed to be best friends. But I also think when you have two people that are that famous, how close can they be?
Kristin Cavallari
Agreed.
Justin Anderson
It's like you see each other a few times a year. It's not like mining yours friendship, you know? But I think with what happened to them, like, I would never pull you into an argument that I was having. Even with just another friend. I would never be like, well, Kristen said it too, just because then I know that people would now associate you with that. But she pulled it into like a lawsuit. Like, imagine if I got in trouble with a lawsuit and I pulled you into my lawsuit.
Kristin Cavallari
I know.
Justin Anderson
And you're like, justin, I'm fucking being subpoenaed. The last thing that you would want to do is sit on trial in front of people like, so I think their friendship is done.
Kristin Cavallari

Justin Anderson
What is this one?
D
The next one is Junmai Ginjo out of Yamagata Prefecture. Hachidori. Loosely translated, Japanese, is hummingbird.
Justin Anderson
Oh.
D
It's actually an American who flies over to Japan and makes this sake three months out of of the year. Just came into the US at the end of December. And the Japanese view hummingbirds as these, like, mythical creatures because they hover, and so this American being able to go over there and make the sake also kind of impossible.
Kristin Cavallari
Wow. I love. That's really good. That's really good. I already tried it.
C
Pair that glass of sake with our next bite. So this is a kami. It's going to be the leanest portion of the bun. Tuna located out the back by the spine.
Kristin Cavallari
Yum.
C
It's part of that fast twitch and bustle group that allows these five to six hundred pounds.
Justin Anderson
She's a swimmer.
C
So I brushed it with a te tori and then finish it off with a dehydrated red miso and everything. Bagels.
Kristin Cavallari
Wow.
Justin Anderson
God, that is so good. Like, insane. Wow. Do you say the leanest or elitist?
Kristin Cavallari
The elitist.
Justin Anderson
The elitist piece of fish. I was like, calm down. The elitist. Oh, my God.
Kristin Cavallari
You know that you say sake. Sake.
Justin Anderson
Sake.
Kristin Cavallari
Right? Sake. If I was feeling. It's like Portia and Porsche. I always feel like a douche when I say it. Sake.
Justin Anderson
Oh, Portia. I could not do that.
Kristin Cavallari
I know.
Justin Anderson
Even if I had 10 Porsches, I would never be like, my Porsche. I would never. But also, like, where do you draw the line, though? Because it's like, also like, people who are like, I'm gonna go get a quesadilla. I'm gonna go get the burrito. Yes.
Kristin Cavallari
They do.
Justin Anderson
They say yes? No. Because people don't think that the Spanish language, unfortunately, is fancy, which is a beautiful language. I'm gonna go get a croissant. Do you say that?
Kristin Cavallari
I'm gonna Ibiza.
Justin Anderson
I would punch you in the neck if you said that. If you start saying Ibiza. I can't. It's so embarrassing because if you're speaking one language, you can't switch it into another one for one word. That's weird. Like you can't do that. You have to stick it all the way through.
Kristin Cavallari
I agreed.
Justin Anderson
If you're speaking your Americanized English language, you've got to just stick with it.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, I agree.
Justin Anderson
You're not eating a burrito.
Kristin Cavallari
I've never heard anyone say Barrito.
Justin Anderson
Yes, you have, Chris.
Kristin Cavallari
An American. No.
Justin Anderson
Well, no, maybe not.
Kristin Cavallari
That's not like Porsche and Porsche.
Justin Anderson
Yeah, but Ibiza. What about Haley Baldwin or Hilary? So Alec Baldwin's wife. Her name is Hillary. Her name's Hillary. She's from Boston. Her name is Hillary, and she goes by Aradia. And she does not have an accent at all.
Kristin Cavallari
What was the word? She was like. What do you call it?
Justin Anderson
Cucumber. Cucumber.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, my. It's so bad.
Justin Anderson
That's like a. That's a.
Kristin Cavallari
That's a personality disorder.
Justin Anderson
Yeah, no, that's like.
Kristin Cavallari
That's mental disorder.
Justin Anderson
One day she's gonna be walking down the street like, cucumber. She's gonna be like, she's not well.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, my God. No, literally, though. Wait, okay. But you started saying Hailey Bieber. Let's talk about the Bieber drama. I'm worried about Justin Bieber actually brings me.
Justin Anderson
This is the one thing that Kristin likes to talk about.
Kristin Cavallari
I do. This is the only celebrity because of your kids.
Justin Anderson
It's like the one crossover of the celebrities for your kids.
Kristin Cavallari
And my kids love Justin Bieber. They also love Hailey. Hailey Bieber, too. I love Hailey. She's my girl crush. And I know I've heard not good things about her, but I do. I love her.
Justin Anderson
Yeah. I did her hair. I don't want to say anything bad. I really, really liked her. I think that they're in, like, a tricky situation because those Selena fans are just brutal.
Kristin Cavallari
I loved her album, though.
Justin Anderson
This new album's amazing.
Kristin Cavallari
So good. And when I will say, like, that's what I love about TikTok, is how they break everything down. I'm all in on that drama. I believe everything I read, too, about Selena's album, the song forgotten.
Justin Anderson
It's 100% about all in that it has to be. But even, like, some of the people online will be like, no, she said that it's not. Well, of course she's gonna.
Kristin Cavallari
What do you think? She's gonna come out.
Justin Anderson
But she's also doing it for. Yeah, it is about. It's about that.
Kristin Cavallari
I gotta be honest with you. Musicians have it so good because they can always get the last word and say whatever the they want to say. And they're like, it's art. I'm writing a song about it.
Justin Anderson
Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
It's like, oh, but if I talk about it, people like, shut the fuck up.
Justin Anderson
You should write an album.
Kristin Cavallari
I'm gonna start writing Haikus.
Justin Anderson
Riddles by Craig Avalar. That could be your next book. It's just all poems to call out all the bad. But it is really true that. I mean, that's how musicians will get off their chest. Also going back to Taylor Swift. I mean, she's always talked about all of her breakups. And everyone gets so mad when a girl does it, though.
Kristin Cavallari
That's what it is. There is. And I'm not. Well, I'm not gonna say I'm not a feminist.
Justin Anderson
But you are a feminist.
Kristin Cavallari
I am a feminist in a lot of ways. But there's such a double standard. I will say with guys and girls. Guys can go and talk about women and do whatever the fuck they want, but as soon as a girl does it, they're like, oh, my God.
Justin Anderson
They get so. It's so weird. It's so dumb, but women do it a lot. Like, they get mad about Taylor with that.
Kristin Cavallari
Women get mad at women.
Justin Anderson
Yeah. When I talk about how much I love Taylor, I'll get like, DMs on Instagram of people being like, I just can't stand Taylor. And I love to ask why? Because I'm so curious, like, why do you not like her? Like, I just don't like how she, like, talks about her love life. Like, why we don't need to hear about your exes. I'm like, you realize that every song we've ever listened to is about an ex. Like, they're all. They're all stories about people's exes or whatever. But I get that she, like, triggers something in a lot of people. Whatever.
Kristin Cavallari
Well, the thing is, no matter who you are, you can't please everybody. I mean, like, that's the thing.
Justin Anderson
You can.
Kristin Cavallari
You cannot. You cannot even try.
Justin Anderson
Don't even try. Just find your crew and cater to them.
Kristin Cavallari
I'm not trying to.
C
Please go. So we have hotate.
Kristin Cavallari
This is a sea salad coming from.
C
The Seal Hokot, just north of Hokkata, Japan. So for this piece, I've lightly seared it and melted a seaweed compound butter at the top from one of the most prestigious butterhouses in Britain.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, yeah, it's called Maison 48. Oh, I was thinking of something else.
C
18Th century technique. They do everything by hand. They locally source all the product for it, including the seaweed that is found on the beaches there.
Justin Anderson
Wow.
C
Just finishing this off with some panoho or purple shiso blossoms.
Kristin Cavallari
Wow. What was the butter here that you told me about? That's what I was thinking. Or is it here?
Justin Anderson
No, you can buy that butter.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, that's okay. It is the same butter. Yeah, someone bought it, but I will.
Justin Anderson
One of these days. Oh, my God. So good.
Kristin Cavallari
They just keep getting better and better.
Justin Anderson
That is so good.
Kristin Cavallari
That's my favorite so far.
Justin Anderson
Did you do the little on it. The char thing? Yeah. I love that torch. When that torch comes out, you know, you can get some flavor, like a little.
Kristin Cavallari
I'm gonna get that little torch from my house.
Justin Anderson
I do, too. I want to do it for s' mores every night.
Kristin Cavallari
Every night.
Justin Anderson
That'd be a good dessert. A s' mores dessert with the torch. Yeah. I actually feel really bad for the whole Haley and Justin situation because he's not doing well. He doesn't care what anyone says.
Kristin Cavallari
No, he does not look good. It makes me nervous also. Well, my thing, too, is, like, okay, they're obviously married. They just had a baby together. Could you imagine being in a relationship and everyone is shitting on your relationship and saying that your husband doesn't even like you? You know what I mean? Like, I don't.
Justin Anderson
I feel like she's doing better than he is, though. Why is it? Not expecting her? She seems like she's on cloud nine. But he, like, just really seems like he's going through something deep. And I think it has something to do with the Diddy.
Kristin Cavallari
I was just gonna say, do you think it's the ditty stuff?
Justin Anderson
Justin Bieber saw the ugliest side of Hollywood, I think. I mean, I think he kind of did the whole Michael Jackson, Corey Feldman, like, he fell into all of that stuff. Like, when a kid is in Hollywood at that young of an age and they're such a star and everyone wants a piece of him, it makes me.
Kristin Cavallari
Sick to think about, honestly. Yeah, you obviously. He knows. Obviously everything that went on, I think he was. He was there. He was part of it.
Justin Anderson
That whole trial.
Kristin Cavallari
What is going on with that? I haven't heard anything about the Diddy.
Justin Anderson
The thing that makes me so mad is, like, you know that I, like, watched every second of the Johnny Depp trial. Like, every second.
Kristin Cavallari
Literally watched the whole trial.
Justin Anderson
Like, watched the whole trial. Like, all day long. I watched it, and I was hoping that they were gonna do it with Diddy, and Diddy's isn't gonna be live. It's always something to do with, like, the jurisdiction. I believe that you're in. And I think, like, California has certain laws. New York has certain laws that you can't film in.
Kristin Cavallari
What state are they in? California. Right.
Justin Anderson
I think it's gonna be in California, so it's not gonna be filmed, but they're that are happening every single day.
Kristin Cavallari
Is it going on right now?
Justin Anderson
Yeah, it already started. Oh, so they already picked. They picked the jurors.
Kristin Cavallari
Today was like, I want to be a juror on.
Justin Anderson
Would you die? I would pay. I would. I would pay half of my savings account to be on that jury. I would love to be on it. But I think they just started today and they're kind of like starting to get into, like, the details of it all. But I mean, it's so nasty. Like that one. We've talked about this before. Like, it makes me feel so dirty. Like, the stuff that was going on there and. And did. He's a dirty, dirty bird. Like, he was doing some nasty. Like, you know, he was with Cassie. That beautiful.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, I know. Yeah.
Justin Anderson
Stunning. Beautiful, right? And these guys, they find the most beautiful girl or whatever situation. Beautiful boy, whatever they do. And they just like, ex. Do nasty things to them. Like he was hiring hookers to have sex with her.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
And like, he would, like, watch, like, these guys like, her in front of him.
Kristin Cavallari
So up. She's the one who filed it complaint, right?
Justin Anderson
Yeah. And they have the video of her running down the hallway in the hotel, and he, like, throws her down. But already. Okay, here's the thing that's gonna piss me off so much about this is already he's has, like, insane lawyers. Like, really good lawyers. Of course. Of course. Like, the best that money can buy. Right? And they're already coming in with all of these excuses about why certain things were leaked and what it actually meant. Like, what. What was all the baby oil for?
Kristin Cavallari
What are they saying?
Justin Anderson
I'll get into that later.
Kristin Cavallari
It's not a. Remember I called it out. I was like, that is not baby oil.
Justin Anderson
Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
I fucking told you.
Justin Anderson
Whoa. That is beautiful. I hope we get a shot of that.
Kristin Cavallari
I love that smell.
Justin Anderson
What age did you start eating sushi at?
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, young. Because being in California, I mean, I must have been.
Justin Anderson
It was like a California thing. Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
Like, that's just what you do.
Justin Anderson
Like, in elementary school, we had kids who would, like, bring a bento box for, like, their lunch.
Kristin Cavallari
My kids will. By the way, my kids eat sushi.
Justin Anderson
Yeah. But, like, Scoot hadn't seen my partner. Scooter grew up in Ohio, and he hadn't Seen sushi until he moved to la.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah. No, it's a California thing, for sure. No, I mean, I was eating it all the time.
Justin Anderson
But what I was saying about the Diddy and the Diddy trial, what's going to piss me off so much is seeing how these really expensive, good lawyers are going to twist things. That's why I'm so fascinated with court trials right now. There's another trial, the Karen Reid trial, and I'm watching every single second because I'm retired, you guys. I don't have a job.
Kristin Cavallari
Wait. Literally, I didn't hear from him all day the other day, and then he was like, sorry, I've been watching this trial.
Justin Anderson
Sorry, I'm in court. I was in court. Chris and I talk all day long. And the other day, like, literally, I didn't respond to her for, like, eight hours. I'm sorry. Like, I just got out of court or whatever, because I'm literally every second of it, I'm watching it. And I'm so fascinated by, like, watching people knowingly lie. So you have, like, one lawyer who's, like, defending the liar or the guilty one.
Kristin Cavallari
Do you think they know that they're lying?
Justin Anderson
I think most lawyers know.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
In certain cases. And then they just have to do everything they can to try to get people off. Off for, like, reasonable doubt, you know? Or, like, there's no way you could actually prove that this person is guilty. So they try to find all these loopholes. And to me, I get it. I understand, like, the way the justice system works, but, like, that's so dirty to me. Could you imagine trying to lit, like, your client hurt someone so bad and you were lying through your teeth to, like, get them off the hook?
Kristin Cavallari
I know, I know. Like, you just sleep with yourself. Yeah, well, it's like O.J. simpson.
Justin Anderson
Yeah. And so I think the thing that's gonna be so hard about the Diddy thing is watching the things that they're gonna say because they're already saying with Cassie. There's footage of Cassie running down the hall, and Diddy's chasing her, and then he's punching her, throws her down on the ground or whatever, and they're already coming out and being like. What you don't see is that Cassie was attacking him already.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, that makes it okay for him to.
Justin Anderson
First of all, does that make that it? Okay? And then also, so she's the attacker, and then she's running from him and he's chasing her. So, like, that doesn't even make sense. But, like. Like, they're already. The way that they're trying to spin certain things is going to be so disgusting. And I think here's the thing, too, is, like, because of social media and all of us paying so much attention now, like, we want justice. I feel like there's so. There's so few things, like, in our lives that we feel like we have control over. Right. Our own families and everything we do. But in, like, the big part of America, we want to start seeing bad people go down. And that's what people are fed up with. Like, all these, like, fucking weirdos who do weird things to children. Like, all the. Like, there's so much creepy. Creepy. So many creepy things that are happening. These people have gotten away with for so long. Epstein. All of that, that, like, we want to see these people thrown in jail, right? Want to see them pay for what they've done. And I think this thing with Diddy, if he gets off or if they find a way to get him off, like, I would want to riot. Like, that's something I would want to riot about.
Kristin Cavallari
Well, you bring up Epstein. What about Elon Maxwell? Like, whatever happened with her trial, like, that just kind of went away, didn't it?
Justin Anderson
It kind of went away. I mean, she's in jail.
Kristin Cavallari
She is in jail.
Justin Anderson
She's in jail.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, but remember, everyone was like, we want to see all the names. Like, we want to know who was there and that they'll never let it out.
Justin Anderson
They'll never let it out. I know they'll never let it out because the names are on both sides. Everybody wants it to be like, one side is, like, bad.
Kristin Cavallari
But don't you think P. Diddy is going to be similar? Do you think that's why it's not live and they're not broadcasting it? Because there's more people involved?
Justin Anderson
I think they're nervous about the people who are going to come out. I think that that's probably why, even though Kutcher and Mila are getting divorced.
Kristin Cavallari
And, like, certainly they were just a stagecoach. They're fine.
Justin Anderson
They were. That wasn't real.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
I'm sure it's causing some. Some drama in the relationship, if it's real. But I think there's a lot of people also, and we've talked about this, too. Like, if Diddy's having these nasty parties, just because these celebrities are there, it doesn't mean that they're, like, rolling around in baby oil, you know?
Kristin Cavallari
Like, but I think, like, a lot of the police officers in LA and stuff were involved, too.
Justin Anderson
Oh, like, getting paid off. Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
That's what I think, too.
Justin Anderson
Police corruption is gnarly, real. And the sad thing about that is it's like, I love the police. I love law enforcement. Like, I love. I do. I feel like. I feel so safe. I feel. I love the fact that we can, like, call and be taken care of. But, like, when you start thinking about corruption in that world, that scares the shit out of me.
Kristin Cavallari
I know.
Justin Anderson
That's what the whole Karen Reed trial is about right now is like, when you really pay attention, you see, like, all the corruption that was happening with the police officers and the detectives behind the scenes. It makes you feel so unsafe because you think about if it happened to one of us and people were hiding evidence to make us look guilty. Like, imagine if you were accused of a murder that, you know, that you didn't do and all these police are trying to frame you. What could you do?
Kristin Cavallari
I know.
Justin Anderson
Well, you would get, like, all of your. Your fans and your followers behind you. But, like, for the normal person. Yeah, It's a really no.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah.
Justin Anderson
That's why this case is such a big deal and why I'm so fascinated by it. Because it's like, I love justice. I love the truth coming out. Like, I, like, live for that.
Kristin Cavallari
I was saying you should have been, like, a. Not a lawyer, but I would have.
Justin Anderson
Loved to have been a lawyer. Yeah.
Kristin Cavallari
Like, oh, I told you. I was like, it's not too late. You can go to.
Justin Anderson
I love to call out liars on their, though. Like, I love to get to the bottom. You and I are real similar. Like, I love to get to the bottom. I hate liars so much, you know? Like, I hate.
Kristin Cavallari
Why do you think that is? Thank you. Not that anyone likes a liar.
Justin Anderson
Not that anyone likes the liar, but, like, I don't know. I was talking to Scoot about it the other day. Like, why it bothers me so much. I just don't like dishonest people.
Kristin Cavallari
That's how I am, too. Do you think it was, like, your childhood?
Justin Anderson
I don't know. I was trying to think of, like, what would have kind of triggered it when I was younger. No, I think about people who are, like, the victim of something. I think, like, I grew up in a really big family, and sometimes, like, I would get blamed by things, by, like, my older cousins or, like, my older brother and stuff. And I didn't feel like I had a voice to protect myself or I didn't know how to at that point. I'm all about the underdog. I Hate when somebody who doesn't have a big voice is being pushed down by somebody who has a bigger voice. And the older I get, not that I have some huge voice, but I feel like I have power in my own life or whatever. But when I see people get pushed down and they're good people, it pisses me off so much.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, because you're an empath. You're a good person.
Justin Anderson
Yeah, so true.
Kristin Cavallari
Pussy.
Justin Anderson
I'm a little pussy. You're a little pussy. What's this next one? Change the subject.
D
It's called IWA 5. It's a Jubai dai ginja that comes out of Oyama prefecture. It's the former settler master of Dongpran for 26 years.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, cool.
D
Fell in love with sake traveling to Japan and started Iwa. He actually polishes all the rice creams down to 35%, so way past the minimum requirement for juinjo and then blends it together kind of in the same style as you would make a champagne. Because he was a master champagne.
Justin Anderson
Whoa.
Kristin Cavallari
Cool.
D
So the complexity of this is absolutely insane. I was like actually just there at the brewery a couple months ago.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, fun.
D
Snow covered mountains and this brewery is like, cool.
Justin Anderson
We should go there.
Kristin Cavallari
Let's go.
Justin Anderson
Let's just get wasted.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, let's go.
Justin Anderson
Wait, so this is like in the Dom Perignon family from the original cellar.
D
Master.
Justin Anderson
Yum.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, that's good.
C
We have our next bite. This is going to be hamachi, also known as yellow timing. Finish off with a puree of black garlic and koji fermented jalapeno. A little bit of fresh squeezed yuzu juice and then a little bit of micro cilantro.
Justin Anderson
Yum. Thank you.
Kristin Cavallari
Thank you.
Justin Anderson
What is thank you in Japanese? Arato. No, that's hello. Right? How do you say thank you in Japanese? Oh, yeah. What? Good morning.
D
That one's tough.
Justin Anderson
Ohio. Ohio. Yes, it is Ohio. Gonzaima. Okay. Because I grew up like half of my life was in Hawaii because my grandparents lived in Hawaii and like, a lot of Hawaii is Japanese. And so we would always set. When we like go on the hikes, we'd see the Japanese people. Like a lot of Japanese tourists. I love saying that. Oh my God, that was really good.
Kristin Cavallari
That might be my favorite.
Justin Anderson
Really?
Kristin Cavallari
I don't know.
Justin Anderson
Maybe you're easily persuaded.
Kristin Cavallari
I know everyone.
Justin Anderson
I'm like, yeah, I love that one. You loved the Madai orarita.
Kristin Cavallari
Which one?
Justin Anderson
What's her name? The singer. Who? Orarita. What's her name?
Kristin Cavallari
Oh, Rita Ora.
Justin Anderson
Rita Ora. Oh, backwards. I did her hair. She's really.
Kristin Cavallari
Oh my God, I can feel this sake.
Justin Anderson
I can too. And you know what's funny? I'm so embarrassed that I'm like doing all of these, like celebrity stories. But like, to anybody who's like, doesn't know who I am. Like, I did they know who you are? No, I know, I know. But maybe they check in, you know, you might have new listeners or new tune in people, you know?
Kristin Cavallari
That's true.
Justin Anderson
Maybe they're just browsing YouTube and they're like, who are these little cuties eating sushi? But I did hair forever. So when I'm talking about the celebrity stuff, like, I'm talking about like personal stories that I've had. I'm not trying to name brag or name name brag. But wait, what? I like when you tell like your funny story for like people that you've met.
Kristin Cavallari
People that I've met. Well, okay, we Talked about the VMAs earlier with Katy Perry, so this is actually a great story. It says what a amazing person Nelly Furtado is.
Justin Anderson
I love her.
Kristin Cavallari
I love her. So I sat next to her. Well, I presented with her actually, but I also sat next to her and I remember she looked at me and by the way, I was probably if this was like 2008 or so, but I had just gotten on the hills and she looked at me and she was like, you look so good. She was like, do not lose any more weight. And I remember being like, oh, that's really sweet.
Justin Anderson
And what year was that? Ish.
Kristin Cavallari
Probably 2007 or 2008.
Justin Anderson
So in the crazy times of skinny Skinny.
Kristin Cavallari
I also think it's really important for young girls in Hollywood to hear that. And I did. I went and got too fucking skinny. I didn't listen to her.
Justin Anderson
True Kristen fashion.
Kristin Cavallari
No, but I thought that was really cool. She was honestly stood out to me and she was one of the coolest, most down to earth women that I have met. You know, else is really cool because I think it's important to talk about the cool, normal ones as much as the horrible ones. Fergie was fucking awesome.
Justin Anderson
Oh, I bet.
Kristin Cavallari
Normal cool. She performed. I did this. Remember Victoria's Secret Pink? Remember that brand in Chicago? I did an event she performed and she just backstage just wanted to like kick it and hang out. My mom was with me and she was just normal, like no ego whatsoever.
Justin Anderson
I've always heard that, that she's really cool. Cool. But I actually think that is such an important thing. Because, like, anytime I ever do, like, a podcast or any sort of thing, I'm gonna talk about Hollywood celebrities. Everyone's like, who's the nastiest? And to be honest, like, out of all the people that I worked with in all those years, I loved all of them. Like, I had really good relationships that I'm still friends with so many of these women, and I, like, love them, and that's why the really bad ones really stood out to me. I think we always just hear these stories, like, oh, so and so is nasty or whatever, but, like, there's wonderful people who just happen to be.
Kristin Cavallari
That's what I mean. I think it's important to shout out the good people, too, so. Yeah, especially women.
Justin Anderson
Yeah, they get the bad rap.
Kristin Cavallari
They really do.
Justin Anderson
Well, I feel like we, like, gave them a lot, and I feel like if I keep drinking, we're going to.
Kristin Cavallari
Say, I know, Me too. So let's be done.
Justin Anderson
All right.
Kristin Cavallari
Thank you, guys. We love you.
Justin Anderson
You're done.
Kristin Cavallari
You're done.
Justin Anderson
Bye, guys.
Kristin Cavallari
Yeah, I got all the power.
