Ryan
really can't focus on anything other than Jack's freaking shoes. These are insane.
Ken
When are we gonna draw the line?
Ryan
I saw Snapchats at like 3:30 in the morning of Ken's house. Just bumping.
Ken
Don't ever get in trouble and wear your life wide open shirt in a mug shot.
Ryan
I think being a dentist would be pretty satisfying. They're kind of like artist of the mouth. I think that'd be satisfying.
CJ
I like to think I'm the first one to lay pipe in Ken's house. So
Ken
these are the shirts they gave me.
Evan
We are. We're only three minutes late.
Ben
All right, Ken, start us up here.
Evan
Welcome back to the left wide open podcast.
Ken
If you don't turn that on. Hear that lovely voice getting you excited, welcoming you in.
Ryan
Ken, you should start doing like audiobooks.
Ken
Yes, you should.
Evan
Problems? I can't read.
Ken
Yeah, you can. You can read. Don't.
Ryan
Yeah, I think anyone else here could maybe say that, but not you can.
Ken
No, you can read for sure.
Evan
It'd be like what should take and one hour book would take me like four hours.
Ken
I don't. I. I think you're larping Ben that cuz Ben can't read Christmas.
Ryan
Holy crap, bro. Those pants are deserve. They deserve a bonus.
Mike
They got one hell of a seamstress. Seamstress at the wrangler.
Ryan
Show that.
CJ
Are you able to show that?
Ryan
I feel like. Yeah, I feel like you should be.
Ben
Don't zoom in on it. That's all I got to say.
Ken
Yeah, that is atrocious. I mean it's also the seating position was a little crazy.
Ryan
Too.
Mike
I think I was about to stand up probably. I was, you know, just getting ready to. To get up maybe. I'm not sure what was going on there, but.
Ben
Oh, dude.
Mike
Sorry fellas.
Ben
I. I don't want to necessarily talk about them while they're here, but what's going on down there? Dalton's getting his truck detailed in our shop. I mean this is all good as far as I know by three high school kids that he went to school with that are younger than him. Like what an insane.
Ken
He's outsourcing.
Mike
I think there.
Ben
I love it. I love.
Ryan
They sold me 180.
CJ
They'll do my truck. I was like, I think they're doing a startup. I'm sure they'll do a great job.
Mike
Business.
Ben
Okay. So I like that. It was just, it was just funny. Have I met any of you guys? And they're like, no, we're just here ripping on Dalton's truck.
Ken
It's cool.
Ben
And. And Dalton the detailer is now outsourcing.
Ryan
Yeah. So I just really can't focus on anything other than Jack's freaking shoes. These are insane.
Ken
What?
Ben
So sick, man.
Ken
When are we going to draw the line?
Ben
Well, Ben thought he drew the line already and then he drew it again. He kept drawing it and wow.
CJ
Why do those Crocs look like child size? Yeah, they just look like a little bit. I think they look like Japanese shoes for some reason. Oh yeah.
Ben
Okay. That's what I was going to say.
Ken
Why do they not look like actual Crocs?
CJ
Yeah, they're just a little bit.
Ben
Are they real?
CJ
More. More tongue on them.
Evan
I. I think it's because of the wrap around like the, the perimeter.
Ben
Oh, they got some weight to them
Ken
cuz they're light up.
Ben
Yeah, true, bro.
Ken
Having light up shoes was lit. I had a couple pairs of light up shoes back in the day.
Ben
Pretty on brand.
Ken
You can't deny that is your brand. Lightning mc.
Ben
I've taken it over.
Ryan
Does Disney know about that or Pixar?
Ben
No, not yet. I'm sure I'll get something in the mail soon. Dude, I going to get a. Hopefully
Ken
a check as opposed to a cease and desist.
Ryan
Yeah. So I just posted a reel of the Lightning McQueen Porsche on Instagram and now, now the other Lightning McQueen are starting to fight in the comments.
Ben
Really?
Mike
Really.
Ryan
Like who was first like or.
Ben
Yeah. Yeah.
CJ
It is crazy that after we wrapped your GT3RS Lightning McQueen, I see a reel of another GT3RS wrapped like that's cuz it existed.
Mike
I think he was Also doing donuts at a golf course parking lot, which is a pretty aggressive.
Ryan
No, that was not a Lightning McQueen one. But that was a red one.
Mike
Oh, sorry.
Ryan
That was a red Crazy Horse doing donuts at a golf course.
Ben
And everyone.
Ryan
And everyone thought it was me. Rightfully so.
Ken
It is kind of funny because if you don't look closely, there is an orange car with white seats. That could be mis.
Ryan
Yeah, an orange Corvette, isn't it?
Ken
I think it was like a McLaren or something else. You're making me so nervous over there, dude.
Ryan
I'm trying to get comfortable over here. This spot Mike's figure it out.
Ken
But yeah, it's amazing. Even. Even some of our good buddies have been like, bro, this was too far.
Mike
I agree.
Ryan
That was pretty aggressive.
Mike
You sent me a Snapchat of your car this morning with a one word caption.
Ryan
Well, I think to be precise, I said this is so gay. Lol and it was zooming in on my car sitting in the parking lot.
Mike
Dude, I swear I got just a one word version of it.
Ryan
But yeah, either way, maybe.
Ben
Okay. But yeah, so like last night I was like googling lightning McQueen cars, just seeing like, there's got to be a lot out there and we obviously have five of them. Dude, there is people. They've done it on Vipers, they've done it on Camaros, Porsches, BMWs, BRZ, Mustang. Like, there's a lot of people that have ripped this. This rap before, which I just, I didn't know.
Ryan
Look at you, Jack. You're such a trendsetter.
Ben
I thought I was the first one, to be honest.
Ryan
They saw you.
Ben
Did you actually think you're the first one? No, no.
Ryan
They saw the Tesla and they couldn't help themselves, Jack.
Ben
But I could see it. I could see people getting in the comments, being like, I was the original.
Ryan
Yeah, it's like, what are we doing here, guys? I don't think anyone wants to admit to that.
Ben
Yeah, well, that's what I was gonna say. You know who, Congrats.
Ryan
You guys are all in.
Ben
You know who is the original? The freaking Lightning Queen cars movie.
CJ
Yeah.
Mike
And what's the Cars came out in like 2005 or 6 or something. So I bet that there's a lot of people that aren't even on the Internet bragging about it that have done this already.
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
When the movie came out, believe my aunt had a Mazda Miata rap Red Lightning, McQueen wrap. No way.
Mike
How have you been keeping this for so long?
Ken
Well, I don't know. Everybody else would, but she had it and, and she.
Ben
Could you get a photo at one point? Not to maybe today, but I probably could.
Ken
Yeah. I'll see if I can get it by the pod. But she had a, a sticker that would go over like a window cling that would go over it when it was parked. Oh, so then she could have the eyeball.
CJ
Like a magnet.
Ken
Yeah, yeah. But I think, I seem to remember she got in trouble or something because it still had some banners. No, it had banners and stuff on it. Cops didn't like it and she was, you know, like a middle aged woman. So she was like, well, I'm not really trying to with the cops. So she had to like take some of it off.
Ryan
Makes sense.
Ken
But yeah, I'll see if I can find that. I kind of actually just remembered that. But it was so lit when I was a kid.
Ben
Dude. Dude.
Ryan
I mean it's kind of a trendsetter.
CJ
It's a great movie. It still is a great movie.
Ken
Yeah, Jack stole that from her newer ones.
Ryan
But yo, did you guys see the videos coming out of that like mudding four wheeler
Ben
hole?
CJ
Those guys were literally just running people over. They'd be like st on a body and just doing a burnout.
Mike
But it's those people fault for being in the way. Like, get out.
CJ
Yeah, but even if I was a four wheeler rider, I wouldn't be doing a burnout trying to win a race. It's a quad race. How much, how much?
Ken
How important is this?
CJ
It's not a. It's not a supercross championship, dude.
Mike
When all the spectators are hammered getting in the way.
Ryan
I mean over.
CJ
It is their fault for getting in the way. But even I guess I would be like, there's a girl underneath my four wheeler. I'm stuck on a rock.
Ryan
Yeah. And you're using her as traction.
CJ
Yeah.
Ben
Run over girls. They were saying like, yeah, the snowshoe.
Ryan
It was just crazy.
Ben
Meets rednecks with paychecks. Yep.
CJ
I mean I'd like to go to this like.
Ken
Like that.
Evan
What is that?
CJ
He doesn't even give a second, bro.
Ben
And people were honestly on their side too. They're like, I get accidentally hitting someone but then continuing no regard train roll over them.
Ken
Coming up on her mega quad here.
Ryan
Oh, she rolls it all the way down.
Mike
No, no, no, no, no.
Ben
Oh my gosh. That was not good. Oh, that was like worst case. He got so much more.
Ken
It is.
CJ
That's a four wheeler.
Ryan
That's not a quad.
Ken
That's a full.
Ryan
Wow. They really let. Let any quads in, huh? Bro?
Ben
Dude, she got some speed.
CJ
So dangerous.
Ken
It's an all fun.
Ben
I don't mean this in like a. Oh, you probably like quads. I bet you'd actually do very well at it. You know, get on a good quad. You've great. Well, Evans ran so many hair scrambles,
Mike
whatever can am like that are set up. Yeah, it seems like fun.
Ryan
I thought that this whole event was crazy. Just the fact that they were like using people as traction to keep going. But then I sat there and thought for another second and I was like, hm. I think it's even crazier that there's a four wheeler dedicated race and that
Ken
many fans came up to watch.
Ryan
Dude, I was like, how am I just hearing about there's a bunch? I mean people race four wheelers.
Ben
Still a series. Yeah. I mean it's not popular.
Mike
We just don't.
Ken
We just don't have a deacon of this country.
CJ
How much money was on the line?
Ken
A case of Keystone and a full take of gas.
CJ
It was for the love of it. Obviously. I'm all for it, dude. I think they need to bring back quads. But I just couldn't quite get behind the burnout on the. On the woman.
Ben
You saw that, bro.
CJ
That I was scrolling through.
Ben
I never saw a burnout on a woman.
Ryan
I mean,
CJ
and they're just like, like just rocking back and forth. Like if that tire hits your skin, it's gonna.
Mike
I was less worried about the tire, more worried about the chain and sprocket that's gonna cut your leg off.
Ryan
What about like the rocks that they're like in between? Like they're just.
CJ
Where's that at?
Mike
They're on rocks in Indiana or something.
Ryan
Dude, how are we just hearing about.
CJ
Cool, man.
Ryan
That thing is so gnarly. We gotta pull up next year.
CJ
Yeah, absolutely.
Ken
I don't want to take us back in time here, but this was my aunt's Miata. Check out.
CJ
Wow.
Ken
Check out how hard that. Gosh.
Ben
It's better than all of the ones we've done.
Mike
Well, I mean, not the best fitment.
Ben
No kidding. No, that's red wheels and the smile.
Ken
She still got it. That's 2024.
Ben
What?
Ryan
Ryan, this is insane.
Ben
Sorry for tripping, but that's sick.
CJ
That literally she really. Sorry.
Ben
Is the best thing ever. And the wing. The wing too. Like the wing we put on the TT is a joke. That wing's legit, bro.
Ryan
That's the same wing is Mike's Viper.
CJ
Yeah. And she even has the eyeballs and the red Wheels.
Evan
I think it's a mouth that the mouth makes it.
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
I gotta say this one way harder than I remember, dude. Holy. Yeah, right?
Ryan
You've really been sitting on this.
Ken
I had been sitting on that.
Ben
She still has it. Yeah.
Ryan
Dude, I didn't know you had an aunt that moved like this.
CJ
You didn't care to just mention that? Like, my aunt has the same setup since 2012.
Ben
I love that. Yeah, so she went with that, added the wing later, added the red wheel.
Ken
She's modding it.
Ben
Holy crap.
Ken
Yeah, that's my bad, guys. Honestly, I kind of forgot who's.
Ben
Who is this? What's your relation to her?
CJ
Yeah, great taste in cars, I'll tell you that much.
Ken
My cousin or aunt Robin. I honestly, I don't really know the exact connection, but. Oh, she's on my mom's side.
CJ
Okay.
Ryan
You guys must be really.
Ken
She's on. She's on my mom's side. I mean, the last time I saw the Miata, I. It was probably in 2012.
Ben
That's awesome. That is.
Ryan
That's crazy. That's a crazy find right there.
Ken
Anyway, back to four wheeling because four wheels.
Ryan
Yeah, I think we got pull up. I think we got to pull up next year.
Mike
Where is that race, though?
CJ
There's a lot of people there. That was cool.
Mike
And race.
Ryan
Do you want to run it?
Mike
100%.
Ryan
All right. I was can in there too, on the Renegade.
Ken
If all it is is running over people in the mud, I can do that. Yeah, I did it to Mike that one time on accident.
Ben
I saw a joke too. Like, it looked literally like there's people everywhere and then there was just a stream of mud and everyone's like, that's just beer. It was dry before they got there.
Ken
Just beer. And piss.
Ben
Oh, yeah, and piss.
Ryan
Dude, I bet those people are still digging mud out of their ears. Yeah, like, when you're that muddy, we do it about once a. Once a year. Maybe once every two years where we get head to toe covered in mud.
Ken
It is always kind of fun.
Ryan
It's always fun. It's always a good time.
CJ
Like, I'm just going to get dirty. You're like, I'm gonna see how dirty I can get.
Ryan
Pop up the pick of us last year. Three wheeling.
Ben
Three wheeling.
Ken
Oh, yeah, that was fun.
Ryan
But like, you're. You're digging mud out of every crevice of your body for the next three days.
Mike
And then a quad Y shower with the pressure washer.
Ryan
Yeah, we don't talk about that.
Ken
It might be good mudden season now. We've been having some storms. Read, read. Timmers, the storm chaser was in our area this week.
Ben
We have clouds ripping last night.
Ken
No, he never. He never did respond to us. I was kind of bummed, but I really want to go storm chasing.
Ben
Chasing.
Ryan
Yeah. We got to figure out how to get a hold of him.
Ken
I'm sure we can. I mean, Nel did it back in the day. It was kind of last minute.
Ben
Let's just take the McQueen van and go rip.
Ken
That's what I did think. If he was like, yeah, you guys can come. Like, what are we. Like, we're going to have to take our own car. I go, what are we going to sacrifice?
Ben
We can't all fit in his. I don't. Yeah, whatever.
CJ
I think the car is fast enough. You can just outrun it.
Ken
You can just skedaddle around it.
Ryan
Well, yeah, or if you got, like,
CJ
a raptor, you'll be able to just bomb the field, because that's the thing. Tornado can just change direction.
Ben
Like, you're stuck on the grid.
Ken
TRX in. In the twisters, too. Yeah, Twisters. One was an iconic movie when he's bombing through the field in that truck.
Ben
Yeah. And beefed up.
Ken
But it was making me think, I guess, about two things, actually. I had a meeting with Sydney, Mike's wife, my sister at our house. And I was like, I need to get her home before this storm. Like, this big storm's coming. And so I go, you head home now, like, because it's going to get bad. And ended up just sending her straight through the thick of it. I, like, look at where she is. And it's Glendon. And then I look, and it's like, tornado warning in Glendon. Tornado on the ground. And she's like, I call her, and it's just like, where are you at?
Ben
Just cutting across from Glenn into.
Evan
Yeah.
Ken
She's like, there. I'm in Glendon. It's pretty crazy right now. But she said she talked with you.
Ben
Yeah. And I was. Honestly, I feel bad because I was downplaying it. And then she FaceTimed me. I'm like, oh, yeah, that's a funnel. That's a funnel. It was literally.
Ryan
Oh, really?
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
Driving around.
Ben
I mean, you know, it didn't touch down or anything, but I'm like, oh, yeah, that was really close to being a tornado.
Ryan
Was it hailing?
Evan
Some of the hail that Fargo got last night was massive. I'm trying to.
Ken
Cue ball size is the biggest that I saw.
Evan
I'm trying to Pull it up. But the one Aaron had was massive.
Mike
Nick rivers posted a snapchat and it was big piece of hill car. Got much larger than a golf ball.
Ben
So big ups for the roofing, guys.
Ken
Yeah. Jeff was. He said he's like, you hate to
CJ
see it but damn, that is bad.
Ken
Yeah. That's gonna up your roof.
CJ
Baseball.
Ryan
You never know when you might need to save some hail for a cocktail.
Ken
So with the hail, what's your guys's thoughts on stopping under a bridge to get out of the hail?
Mike
And of course, if it's. Wait what?
Ben
I was like, if it's hailing and I have it and I have to
CJ
on the side to be pulling up to a bridge.
Ben
Yeah. I'm going to stop if there's room.
Ken
Are you. Are you going to stop in the middle of the road and block? No interstate.
Ryan
No, you can't do that. People do that.
Ken
And so that's where the thing. If you're the first guy there and you hit the shoulder, I think that's cool for sure.
Ben
As long as you're not in the lane.
Evan
I think the only people that can do that are motorcycle riders. Everyone else is just a And needs to just drive straight through it.
Mike
I agree. Ken.
Ryan
Oh, Ken. Not everyone drives a refrigerator.
Mike
Yeah.
Ken
Bulletproof car.
Ben
I was like, if you're driving a high end car, why would you keep
Evan
driving then you just drive away from the storm.
Ken
That's not exactly how it works.
Ben
What if you're in it?
Evan
Then you should be planning and watch the radar so you don't hit it.
Ken
It's funny actually, because the only Ken
Ben
had his car parked three hours before the weather even hit.
Ken
Yeah.
Evan
If you're paying for insurance, use it.
Ryan
Ken is the most guy who's like,
CJ
we need to get everything inside.
Mike
Yeah.
Ryan
Like the most storm conservative person I've ever met.
Ken
There we go.
Ryan
If there is. If there is hail four hours away and there's a chance There's a chance that it could maybe like a 3% chance. That's enough for Ken to be like every vehicle inside.
CJ
I know, dude. Alex is the same way. Like she made me get up out of bed last night. We better put all the. Your truck inside. I'm like, I think it's gonna be fine. I do this all the time. So I get up, you know, walk outside, put it in the back building. And yeah. I just knew it was going to be for nothing.
Ken
But didn't even rain it.
Ben
No, I didn't even rain.
CJ
But yeah, Ken's the same way.
Evan
Like I planned for that. Like I knew, okay, I'm at home. Might as well just pull the car inside. And then like, if you're driving, that's kind of on you. Just use the insurance. What if you have to go to
Ken
work and go home?
Evan
Then you just use the insurance.
Ryan
Ken is such a.
CJ
But not the shoulder of under the bridge.
Evan
No. Because then all you're gonna do is jam up everyone else and you're gonna over four guys behind you.
CJ
If you're on the shoulder, how they can still pass.
Ben
How would you mess them up?
Evan
One person stops and then 15 other people stop, and then there's just.
CJ
No, I'm saying you're pulling off the road on the shoulder, so you're not blocking.
Ken
Yeah. For a little clarity on Evan, because he's kind of on my side. You're a. If you stop. But I agree with the shoulder method. What do you think about the shoulder?
Evan
Let me pull up.
Mike
And I guess too. So you're talking full blown big ass hail.
Ben
So you're a. Yeah.
Ken
Your hails or your car's taking damage. Hail.
Mike
Yeah. That's. Yeah. A little harder to drive through. But you definitely can't be stopping on the road. I guess what I was thinking of too, like a storm. When we drove home from that racetrack a couple weeks ago, it was really, really, really hard rain where even I had to going like 40 miles an hour. I could hardly see the hood of my truck. But there were cars that were just had their flashers on and were basically just stopped. And it's like, all right, we're on the interstate three lanes wide. You can't be in the fast lane not moving or pulling off on the left shoulder of the road. It's just rain. Be an adult.
CJ
I think Mike and I are just saying, like, you literally are not on the road. You're just off on the slant up of the bridge.
Evan
But one person stops and then another person stops and then it's a full blown traffic jam.
Ken
This. I agree. I love them. This is such a good debate. I'm so excited.
CJ
I don't think he understands that's like the thing if you stop on the shoulder.
Ryan
Okay.
Ken
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Mike
I still think you got to keep moving. Unless you're a motorcyclist who's like actually gonna die. But if you're in a vehicle as nice as the car is, I think you have to keep moving. You can't stop on it.
Ben
Okay, how about this?
Ken
Definitely can't. If you're in A driving lane.
CJ
Definitely can't do that.
Ken
I will hit your rear bumper.
Ryan
Yeah, no, that's.
Ken
I will push you through there.
CJ
That's way worse.
Ben
The most competent drivers, who usually tend to be going a little faster could crash.
Ryan
Okay, what about this? What about this?
Ben
Not in a bridge. Can you pull over?
Ryan
Gas station.
Ken
Oh, I was thinking about that. Are you pumping?
Evan
I would stay.
Ken
Are you pumping?
Ryan
All right, Ken. Staying?
Mike
Absolutely. Not if you.
CJ
Absolutely.
Mike
You shouldn't even walk into the gas station. If you're done pumping gas while leaving your car at the pump, go park somewhere else and get the. Out of the way. You know, pissed off I'm. When I pull in and you gotta wait for five to 10 minutes, there's
Ken
a car park, someone's in there getting their.
Mike
What?
Ryan
What if you're filling up with gas but you don't need it?
Mike
No, no, I do it all the time. But I think I'm breaking the law. I leave the pump run, and to fill up a Raptor is going to take 10 minutes. I can go inside, come back out, and it's still not done.
Ken
That is the.
Mike
That's.
Ben
God forbid it quits pumping while you're buying your fruit snacks.
Mike
I mean, if it's 30 seconds. I don't eat fruit snacks.
Ben
Sorry.
Mike
No. If it's like for 30 seconds or May. I'm saying you stand by your vehicle for the 10 minutes to fill it, then you put the pump back, leave your vehicle parked at the pump, and then go in the station.
Ben
That sounds insane.
CJ
I just run in, grab my drink, I come out, it's almost done.
Ken
Probably done hailing.
Mike
You've never seen that before.
Ben
Yeah, they do.
Ryan
Are you talking. Are we talking hail or.
Mike
No, I'm saying in a normal day, people.
Ben
The debate has shifted.
Ryan
Interesting. I think people like that are just haven't made up their mind, and then they're just like, I better go.
Ben
Okay, I have done that.
Ryan
And it's a.
Ben
It's a mind makeup.
Ryan
Yeah, but you're. You're a customer of the gas station, they make money of you buying something. So you're filling up with gas. Oh, well, it's filling up with gas. I'll grab something. Oh, that's the problem there.
Mike
No, no, it's. When you're done pumping your gas and you stay parked. They have like, most gas stations have a shitload of parking spots, like up against the building. Oh, you could fill your vehicle, pull up to the gas station, and then let that guy that's waiting in the parking lot to pull up to the pump in. It's just like a respect.
Ryan
I get. I get you. Now you're saying when you're done pumping gas.
CJ
Yes.
Ryan
Leaving your car sitting there is a Cheeto move. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I follow. I agree. That pisses me off, actually.
Ken
That's like when we're on road trips and get the diesel guys going. Yeah, yeah, well, cuz, you know, I'm dealing with the truckers and whatever. But when I fill up, I will have to piss so bad. I'll fill up the truck, I'll run in, grab my vittles, come back out, unhook the diesel, be like, all right, we're ready to go. I've done most of the work here. We're ready. And then Mike's just, I'm gonna go get a snack.
Ryan
I'm like, what the classic.
Ben
Classic.
Mike
I'm at the Montana little slot machine.
Ben
That'd be half the. Half the time. I'd be like, well, Evan's still in there.
Ken
But if I called Evan and said, yo, we're rolling, he'd be like, let me just burn this hundred dollars in five seconds and I'll be out.
Ben
But yeah, nobody knows how to burn a quick hundred.
Mike
What if you're gonna say, make a quick gas station stop? Because I think I can stop pretty quick.
Ken
Yeah, you're quick.
Ryan
Any other, like, controversial topics that are everyday occurrences?
Ken
Blowing your yard clibbons into the road.
Mike
Unacceptable.
Ben
I mean, honestly, unacceptable.
Mike
Blowing your leaves into your neighbor's lawn, like, they're not going to notice. That's.
Ken
Dude, no.
Ben
I think if you blow your clibbons out into the road, you gotta, like, blow them back.
Ken
Yeah.
Ben
You don't have to blow way back in your yard. You just got to get them off again. Off the main road.
Ryan
Victory lap. At least around the property.
Ben
At least get them onto the shoulder of the road.
Mike
I know maybe people are really concerned about having the perfect lasers, but if you simply take the first three, like, passes of the mower and blow it in towards your own lawn.
Ben
Yeah.
Mike
Now you can blow back and it's like not going to make it to the road. So it's kind of just ignorant to blow right out into the highway.
Ken
I would agree.
Ryan
I don't know if that's controversial enough. I think everyone agreed.
Ben
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ken
I was intrigued. I knew that. I knew the hail thing would. But I'm just surprised the hail thing got Ken because the only person I've ever gotten this video from is Ken. Is Ken driving his focus hours? Well, My car's. My car's. It's like. It's like hailing. Dime size hail. Maybe less. It's.
Evan
And in that video, was I stopped under a bridge or was I driving?
Ben
No.
CJ
Well, I was.
Evan
I just kept driving through it because I was like.
Ken
Well, you did. You did.
Ryan
It's so Ken maxes out whatever kind of warranty or insurance plan he's on.
Ken
Yeah.
Ryan
If his door handle on his car even squeaks. Even squeaks the slightest bit, that is going back to the dealership. They're paying for the transport there and back. And.
Evan
Absolutely. You buy a brand new car, you expect it to be perfect. CJ's have problems with the truck window, and he's brought it back like six times, and they haven't fixed it.
CJ
Yeah.
Ryan
But his is a little bit more convenient. Yours has got to go like seven hours that way. And you're like, I'll chalk up a whole day just to get that squeaky door handle fixed now.
Mike
Must have a different program for that. I mean, the last. Didn't you have to fly to go get your car the last time?
Evan
Oh, no. I flew because it was going to be easier to go get it.
Mike
Didn't that what I just said?
Ryan
You flew to go get your car?
Evan
Yeah.
Ken
Because otherwise it is going through TSA to get your car. That's only two hours away.
Evan
All I'm saying is, otherwise I gotta pay. I gotta have somebody drive me down there and then go pick it up. Or I can just hop on a plane in the airport.
CJ
What was wrong with the car that time?
Evan
The stainless steel panel on the bed was, like, coming deglued and it was, like, falling off. So I had to, like, ship it down to Minneapolis, get it replaced, and now the other side is doing it. So now let's get shipped back down to Minneapolis and get that replaced.
Mike
But with how you operate, with wanting to maximize your warranties and whatnot, I had to bring you multiple times down there to pick it up. When your Teslas were bricked, they would send a wrecker out, pick it up, bring it there. But then you were required to go down there and pick it up to the point where I'm like, ken, you give me the number and I'm gonna start bitching at someone. If this is covered under warranty, why are we spending five hours?
Evan
Because.
Mike
To go pick this up.
Evan
Because they pay to bring it to the service center. They do not pay to bring it back to you.
Mike
But that's what you argue with them about and say, I'm a loyal Tesla customer.
Evan
That's how the warranty is written. Like, if it has to transported to the dealer for service, they will come pick it up, but they will not transport it back to you. You are responsible for picking it back up.
Mike
Bullshit.
Ben
I'm reading hot takes on Reddit and they're, like, pretty pretty basic. And then this one is just, everyone should get free Xanax when they go to the dentist. That is an insane hot take.
Ken
That is a hot take. I'm actually scared of the dentist. I've been to the dentist in, like, two years.
Mike
Really?
Ben
Yeah, I went on a good stint there, too. Like, I was, you know, growing up. My mom would make me go every six months, and then I went, like, a good three years without going.
Ken
Did you have cavities?
CJ
Scared of?
Ben
Yeah, I have cavities. Yeah.
Ken
I'm just worried that I'm going to, like, have cavities.
CJ
You want to get those fixed? If you did have.
Ben
It's. It's similar to, like, going to the doctor. Like, you.
Ken
You like this good news?
Ben
Yeah.
CJ
Yeah.
Mike
When I. When I've had to go to the dentist, they have to, like, knock me out. I just pay the extra 500 bucks for anesthesia.
CJ
Honestly, I mean, that's not, like, routine cleaning.
Mike
I haven't had a routine cleaning since I was in high school.
Ben
Oh.
Mike
It's only when there's a serious problem and I need some shit yanked, and then I go, send me to the surgery center and knock my ass out.
Evan
It's kind of like one of things where you just do the routine cleaning that's kind of painless. You just sit there with your mouth open for 45 minutes than it is to just spend the extra money and do the surgery.
Ken
I think the problem for me originally was we were so damn busy. Like, I only will book an appointment like that on a Thursday because I know that every other single day of the week is completely fine.
Ben
And it sounds silly to say, like, oh, I'm so busy. I keep missing my appointments for a year or two. Right. But let's just say we're putting Ben's car up on a pole, for example. It's a big deal that's only going to happen one time.
Ken
Yeah, I'm missing.
Ben
I would call in and be like, sorry, I can't make it. I have something much more important.
Ken
Then I think I just. And then, yeah, then they called and they go, hey, bud, you missed your appointment. Let's make another one. And then I just, like. Then they start calling you, Miss that call, you're just, you're like, I don't even want to just be. I just don't want to call back.
Ryan
For what?
Ken
The dentist book.
Mike
The early morning when I was trying to get my fixed, it was like two months out. Every time you'd book, and then I'd even run by and we'd have nothing on the schedule. Yeah, just do it on a Friday. You'll be good. Then it would be Thursday before. Oh, no, we're flying to Washington this weekend or whatever. Like. All right, well, I'll just call and reschedule. Okay. That'll be three months later. Again. Again. Again.
Ken
That's what I'm saying.
Ryan
Oh, well, dude, I think that being a dentist would be the best, like, doctor profession. Like, you got to go through all that school. But dude, they have the best schedules. Like, a dentist that's, you know, put in his time. They're working like two days a week.
Ben
And it really does seem like a lot of, you know, when, like a surgeon has to come in, like, they have to, like, they show up because they need to do surgery, which a lot of dentists do. But most of the time they just show up and go, yeah, everything's looking good.
Mike
Or grab it with pliers and rip it out.
CJ
Yeah. But you don't have like anyone dying on your hand.
Ben
Yeah.
CJ
Like some life threatening. And even you need to save him right now. Otherwise if. Yeah, if you mess up, he's gonna die.
Ben
But even if it is looking bad.
Ryan
Pressure.
Ben
Even if it is looking bad, they're like, all right, this is standard procedure. We're gonna yank the one and they charge the.
Ryan
Out of you.
Ben
Yeah. But even though I was gonna say expensive.500 to get knocked out seems relatively reasonable, so. I see.
Mike
Yeah. Because I think, you know, the insurance will. Insurance will cover some stuff, but because it's like, like not essential.
Ben
Right.
Mike
For the anesthesia, it's like 5, 600 bucks.
Evan
Dental insurance is kind of where it only covers a little bit and then like, you're responsible for everything else.
Mike
No, like, the insurance for me, I had to get it. I had to get a tooth pulled. They pay to get it pulled, but they won't pay to get it replaced. You don't need it.
Ryan
I don't need to go to the insurance, but I've already paid my deductible for the year, so I'm gonna just run it up.
CJ
Yeah, I've been going to the dentist every week. I have insurance.
Ryan
It's covered.
CJ
I already hit my deductible.
Ryan
He's an insurance maxer. Yeah. I don't know. I used to want to be a dentist, but I think being a dentist would be pretty satisfying. One, like schedule two, make a lot of money. And then three, like, they're kind of like artist of the mouth. I think that'd be satisfying.
CJ
But you're always looking down into someone's mouth every day, which. Yeah.
Ken
And up their nose.
Ben
And then you got cleats. Brother who went dentist to youtuber. I mean, I think he's still a
Ryan
dentist, but yeah, it seems like he's running a pretty good program.
Ken
Yeah.
Ryan
You know, like I look at that, I'm like, dude, this guy is running an awesome program.
Ben
Yeah, that is pretty funny.
Ryan
Yeah.
Ben
He's making content but still doing dentist stuff, which, like, more than pays the bills, that's for sure.
Ken
And he owns a car wash, dude.
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
My dream's always been known to car
Mike
wash and a nascar.
Ryan
Really?
Ben
He's kind of got.
Ryan
I feel like you could kind of
Ben
got it figured out pretty easily. I feel like I would happily invest
Ryan
with you do by the way, call it Ryan's.
Ben
Yeah.
CJ
Would it be automate automated or would you have like actual hand wash? Or is it going to be like the thing where it's a touch where it's like.
Ken
No, I think, I think I'd like to do a mix where it's like. Like the bucky's ones where you pull in and there's a guy that stands there and pressure washes off your. And then it goes through scratch factory and then it comes out and then somebody wipes it down for you.
Ben
So. Yeah. And we have a local one like called dons and that to me is the best because at least if you power wash it before, the scratch factory isn't as bad. Bad.
Ken
Yeah, I think, I think that'd be a sick program or just a nice, nice touchless car wash. You know, just like the standard peel your wrap right off. Yeah.
CJ
Probably better.
Ken
Probably a better.
CJ
And also you don't have to manage it as much.
Ben
Yeah, but, but dude, you. You guys have seen it all the car washes popping up. Like the tommies, the zips, the.
Ryan
The.
Ben
The silver star. They're all touch. They're all scratch factories.
Ryan
Yeah.
CJ
So, like, because most people don't really care.
Ben
They don't really.
Evan
It's because they can pump so many
Ben
more cars through those than they can so much faster.
Evan
Dude.
Ken
Randy hits the scratch factory every single day.
Evan
I do that every day.
Ken
And I'm like, can we get you A touchless car wash pass. So your car isn't even dirty. You cannot go through the scratch factory and then go back and then get that when it's dirty. But every single day he hits a
Ryan
car wash. That's pretty crazy. I mean and Ken dropping that. That he also does that. He's a subscription maxer as well.
Evan
I go through the. The scratch factory every day but I've got a wrap on my. I've got a PPF on my car. So you just leave it in the sun and then it just like melts the scratches away.
Ken
So you're saying that due to that ppf say it would be hard to damage.
Evan
Well it is like coming off.
Ben
That's going to withstand a donut like
Ken
a soft pastry wouldn't probably affect.
Evan
That's more of just a respect kind of thing again.
Ryan
It's like I would drive that thing through hail. I drive it through hail donuts, a little bread. Not on my car.
Evan
Dude.
Ben
I'm all about still. I still use whale of a wash. You know the. The true self serve. Like you can put quarters in. You can slide your card. Now I'm all about those.
Ryan
Right.
Ben
But gosh, are they shitty.
Ryan
Yeah.
Ben
Like they're just grimy and musty and like all used.
CJ
Before we had our own shop. I would always hand wash my car because it just would turn out better and I didn't want to use a touch and. But it's always like you're there.
Mike
It's.
CJ
They're all. They always kind of happen to be in a hood.
Mike
Yeah.
Ben
And they've got.
Ryan
There's a little bit like maybe a
CJ
homeless guy walking around. And then there's like this one dude just kind of chilling that you're kind of keeping your eye on as you're
Ben
washing or the guy, you know. Yeah. The one I go to is a lot.
Ken
He's just watching guys bend over washing their car hoping to get a show.
Mike
But I use like that style one. I just bring my own. My own mitten.
Ben
Same. Yeah.
Mike
And then just only use the brush.
Ryan
I do love.
Ken
That's a good one. Bucket washing your car at the.
Ben
No, that's what I do.
CJ
We're like, it's. It gets jammed up and you're trying to use like the rinse but then it's still spraying like soap or some.
Ben
Yeah, yeah.
CJ
It's just like this whole thing was a waste.
Ben
I get such a kick out of. So I come with like a bucket that.
Mike
That.
Ben
That already has water in it and soap in it and a Wash your
Ryan
own water to a car wash because
Ben
in order to fill it up with the pressure washer, it's a pain.
Mike
I just spray it with the foam and then use the foam on it.
Ben
So then, you know, you eat up a dollar trying to fill your bucket up. But just come with water. I come with the mitt. Right.
Ken
I must be driving really careful.
Ben
I come with the supplies. Yeah. I. And then at the end, I just get a crack cracked up at people watching me. Because then I pull out my leaf blower and start drying my car. And they're like, this guy's kind of
Ryan
got it figured out. Damn, Mike, I had no idea.
CJ
Washer and just do it in your driveway.
Ben
But I don't like doing it in the sun.
Ken
Yeah, the sun.
CJ
Actually, if you do it kind of at night, though, where it's dusk.
Ben
Yeah, actually, I don't mind doing a car in the sun, but my truck in the sun is like. I have to wash it in like six sections.
Mike
Yeah.
Ryan
And you have to have four ladders.
CJ
I do it because it magnifies it.
Ken
It.
Ben
Yeah, right.
Ryan
Yeah. But just dries out, really.
Ben
I like going to the self serve a lot.
Mike
The self serve wash we have in. In Cloquet, it's got like six bays and then there's an outdoor bay. It's like a big.
Ben
That's where the mud guys.
Mike
Campers. But. Well, yeah, I think they pretty much discourage mud, period. But definitely at least for like RVs, campers, boats like that. So my dad would always go there a couple times a year and give the boat a good rub down. And he had done that, you know, a nice little Sunday goes, washes the boat. About half hour later, cops show up to the house. And he's like, yeah, what's going on? You're like, were you at the car wash? He's like, yeah. Apparently when he pulled out the pressure washer, hose looped around the boat motor.
Ryan
No.
Mike
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he just, like paid for it and it was like, cool. I think the owner of the car washes, like, wanted it fixed and didn't really know what to do. So they like got the license plate, called the cops of it. Honestly, there could have been.
Ken
The pressure washer is still wrapped around his trolling motor.
Mike
But yeah, so, I mean, he paid for it. He wasn't like. He just had no idea. It was just funny. He's probably.
Ken
Oh, my bad.
Mike
Oops.
Ben
Have you guys ever seen anybody pull away from the gas station with the pump in it? Pump in it?
Mike
My dad's done that as well.
Ben
Done it.
Ryan
I've done it. What happened?
Ben
Did it.
Ryan
I think I did it in my lambo. In my huracan. I swear I think I did it in my huran.
Ben
Something tells me it had to have
Ryan
hooked in insane dude.
Ben
Something tells me it just lightly fell out then cuz otherwise you would have told us.
Ryan
Yeah, no, I think it did.
Ben
Okay.
Ryan
It didn't.
Ken
It didn't pull the whole look down
CJ
off the ground and drive away.
Ryan
Mike. I wasn't jumping at the opportunity to tell you about that one.
Ben
No, I'm just saying like if it ever happened to somebody I would tell them. But I so badly want to see it get like hooked in there and the tension and doing like rip it off the gas.
Mike
That's why they put there's like a joint on the hose.
Ken
They're meant to like. Yeah, they're break away. So you didn't when you did it, it didn't break away, it pulled out.
Ryan
Yeah, I think it just slot.
Mike
Oh, I almost did it a bushel of years ago. I can't remember. I was in the hurry to do something, pumped the gas while I was getting vittles, come back with armful of vittles, jump in the truck, put it in drive, start rolling away. And my girlfriend goes, are you going to take the pump out? I went, oh my goodness.
CJ
Did you just say you were pumping the gas and you went inside to get vittles?
Mike
That's what I'm telling you. It's acceptable if you're actively pumping gas while you're inside.
Ben
It's not.
Mike
You come back and then still pumping gas and you put it o.
CJ
Or even if it's finished while you're get out there.
Ken
It's not waiting for the pump to be done then putting it away then going inside. That's what's up.
CJ
I see. Okay.
Mike
I just, just either way, she saved me on that one. I totally would have drove off. So I was stoked about that.
Ryan
Yeah, Tough look.
Ken
I think one of our friends did it back in the day when they were coming out to the lake.
Evan
They were like.
Ken
Yeah, we were just so excited they were coming down to hang on the weekend. They drove away with the pump in the thing.
Ryan
I feel like I've seen seen somebody do it where it actually breaks it.
Ken
Yeah, like breaks. It has like a joint.
Mike
I think I've seen like clips online, but I'm pretty sure most of them are set up because it'll be like car driving down the road dragging the whole hose And I don't know how likely that is that that's actually what would happen.
Ryan
We were gonna do that as a prank on Ken one time of like watch him go to the gas station and then go to the shop afterwards and like buy a hose and, and the nozzle and put it in and then run inside of like.
Ben

When Bobby's out buying Buffalo, he wants to know exactly where his money's going and make sure that he has enough in the bank to make it happen. And that's why he uses Monarch.
Ben
Monarch is the personal finance app that keeps track of your money so you don't have to. It monitors all your accounts, investments, saving goals and spending in one place, making it easy to stay on top of your finances.
Evan
Monarch is like having a personal financial advisor right in your pocket. It helps you keep track of your spending, stay on top of your goals, and gives you a clear picture of where your money is going all throughout the expensive price tag of hiring an actual advisor.
Ryan
If you want to split the bill from a dinner with your friends, Monarch makes it simple by using their bill split feature. Just scan the receipt, claim what you got, and settle up.
Ken
Use code wide open@monarch.com to get your first year of Monarch Core half off. Off at just $50. That's 50 off your first year at monarch.com with code wide open.
Ryan
You drove off with the nozzle and then get his reaction to it. But then he started driving an electric car.
Mike
Yeah.
Ken
Way to go. That is. That's a funny prank though.
Mike
Yeah, now you just have to deal with an extension card.
Ryan
True.
Ben
Yeah, that's pretty funny too.
Ken
One of my buddy's cars got struck by lightning.
Mike
McQueen?
Ken
No, no, he's just. He's just driving down the interstate for the lake. I got struck by lightning and started on fire.
Mike
What?
Ken
Yeah. Burned to the ground.
Ryan
Oh.
Ben
What?
CJ
Insane.
Ben
Yeah, you almost forgot to add that part.
Ryan
What did it strike?
Ken
I think like the hood or something.
Ryan
And it started on fire?
Ken
Yeah, I think it started an electrical fire. And then I think like two summers later he was parked on the street that you and I live on and his car got sideswiped by a truck driver.
Ryan
Oh, that's tough. Tough.
Ken
So he's had some bad luck with cars. Real good guy, too.
Ryan
Getting struck by lightning is.
CJ
Yeah, I wonder what lucky.
Ryan
What are the odds of that? But you're more likely to get struck by lightning like five times than you are to win the lottery once or something like that.
Mike
No, I have heard that.
Ben
Maybe I'll take those
Ken
but you can buy more than one ticket that helps your eyes.
Ben
That's true.
Evan
One in 1.2 million.
Ben
Oh wow. That's. Odds are slim.
Ryan
And no, that's not. That's that slim.
Evan
And over the course of an 80 year lifetime, it's 1 in 15, 000.
Mike
That act that seems shockingly low.
Evan
This is chat GPT.
Ken
Are they only pulling people who run around with metal rods outside?
Mike
Was this like the knights wearing suits of armor?
Ryan
Okay, so are you aware I heard
CJ
this, but I thought I heard if you get struck by lightning once, you'll like get struck again. You're more.
Mike
I think it is more likely. That's what. How is that possible?
CJ
Just because you still have it in you or something? Like you're just like I got that lightning in statics just permanently in you that now you're just attracting it more or what?
Mike
There's got to be something about you that attracts it.
Ryan
Yeah, I don't know.
Mike
I've heard something like that.
CJ
You get struck by lightning once, you're
Ryan
check that struck again, dude. You got to have like a higher frequency after that though. You got to be rolling around a little different.
CJ
You got to have energy.
Ryan
Struck by lightning, that's an excess for life.
CJ
You don't need coffee, you don't need anything after that. You're just good to go.
Ryan
The only thing that happens after you get struck by lightning is you're more likely to get struck by lightning.
Ken
You gotta move, dude.
Ryan
You gotta be just like oh my gosh, this sucks.
Evan
Chat. Chat says yes you are. But only because people who get struck by lightning are typically more outdoorsy or
Ben
so it's just your life.
Evan
Like they're saying a park ranger, a golfer or golf course employee, a roofer, farmer, utility worker or mountain guide are the most likely to get struck.
Ryan
There's a. There's a park ranger I want to say in like Yosemite that's been struck by lightning like seven times. Can you look?
Ben
How does he look like, how is he alive?
Evan
Roy Sullivan is a park ranger who got struck seven times. Strikes are attributed to spending decades outdoors.
Ryan
Dude, talk about trust issues.
CJ
Like show though. Like if you get struck, doesn't it like don't you have like scarring or something?
Ryan
Well, what's the likelihood of living through getting struck by lightning?
Ken
They should put a little metal tip in their hat.
CJ
Oh wow. So he doesn't even.
Ken
He's looking pretty damn.
Ben
Roy Sullivan's kind of.
Mike
He's actually only 27 years old though.
Ben
It hyper aged him.
Mike
You Hear about. I think it was the first major golf tournament that John Daly ever won. So when he was, like, a kid and broke, some kid got struck by lightning on the driving range.
Ryan
Oh, yeah.
Mike
And he donated his entire winnings to, like, the family or that kid. I think the kid lives. But whatever. Like, donated every. Which is pretty cool.
Ryan
Wow, that's. Can we get a fact check on that kid again?
Ken
That's really cool.
Evan
Sorry, I wasn't paying attention.
Mike
John Daly's first tournament major.
Evan
Sending you notes.
Mike
Lightning.
Ken
Thank you. Thank you.
Evan
It was a spectator was struck by lightning. Don't see anything about what you're saying, though. Oh, no. Yeah. Daily donated 30,000 to Weaver's family for a college fund for his kid.
Mike
I think the Cool P is the first time John Daly won any actual money.
Ken
So it was. Yeah. Like, a really big deal to him as well. That's really cool. Do you see his. Duncan act mad? He's like, ask for a Daily style with just a little bit of room at the top.
Mike
Yes.
Ryan
That's funny, dude.
Ken
He's really made a career out of being a drunk golfer.
Ben
Yeah.
Mike
Living the dream.
Ben
And think. I bet so many people told him that he would not be able to do that. And he did it and then kept doing it.
Mike
The only thing I kind of have with John Daly is like, I love John Daly. I think he's hilarious. Everything he's done. But sometimes when you hear the statistics of, like, what he says he consumes in a day, I'm like, I don't think you drank, you know, 48 Coca Colas and then had, like, 72 beers. Like, I just.
Ken
It don't even make sense.
Mike
A lot of liquid and, like, five packs of cigarettes. I'm like, that means you literally. Do you light one and throw it? But, like, there's, like, not enough time in the day to smoke seven packs of cigarettes or something. I don't know. Some of the stats just seem high, but I don't want to overthink it because I think he's a great guy.
Evan
Like, Ryan, your dad goes through an absurd amount of Cokes, but he only drinks, like, a quarter of it. And then he starts a new one.
Ken
One.
Evan
It's like, is that what John's doing or.
Ken
Well, that. I don't personally know my guy John, but if the reason Randy only drinks partials is because he doesn't want to drink, he's trying to cut down on how much he consumes. But he goes, if I'm going to have a sip of Coke, why have One that's been sitting on a 2x4 for an hour. I might as well have a fresh eat.
Mike
First sip is the best. I mean, I can relate with Mama
CJ
do, but yeah, that first. Yeah.
Evan
So the total number of cokes is probably the same, but the quantity of that coke is diminished.
Ken
Yeah. To say that he's probably. He might take down eight Coca Colas in a day, but he's really only consumed five.
Evan
So is that what Jon is doing? Like, is he ripping five packs of darts but he's only taking one puff off of them?
Ken
It could be.
Ben
Yeah, could be. It reminds me of in an interview when Snoop Dogg said that he smoked 80 blunts a day. And for the longest time the Internet was just like, bro, what the 80 blunts? And then he said people were acting like I'm some sort of machine. I was exaggerating. It's probably more like 15, which is. That's much more realistic.
Ken
Every famous person needs Micah around to call him on their. They're doing an interview with like.
Ben
Well, you can't.
Ken
Big thing.
Ben
You can't go on public and say you drink 70 beers a day. If you're not actually drinking 70 beers
Mike
and that are closed. Take one sip off the Coca Cola, like, that's fine. You can't be doing that with beers and claiming seven.
Ken
No, definitely not. Definitely not.
CJ
I go to the bar, I just sip off of 12 beers. I just slam 12 beers.
Mike
The only person I really believe the crazy statistics on is Andre the Giant.
Ken
Yeah.
Ben
Yeah.
Mike
He's got.
CJ
Bro. Do you ever see the picture of the beer can in his hand? It looks like a mini pop.
Ben
Not even 8 out 6 ounce pops.
CJ
Apparently, like when they would drive them to like the shows in the limo, he was. Would crush like a. I don't know if it was like a 12 pack or a 24 pack just on the way.
Mike
No, I've seen that. Yeah, it was like an hour drive and he just crushed the 24. There's no problem, man.
Ken
Imagine if your girl dated Andre the Giant before you.
Ben
Oh, don't imagine that, guys.
Mike
I was just thinking how much piss that guy must have, but, yeah, I wouldn't like that neither.
Ken
You guys been hearing about all the heat in Europe?
Ben
What kind of heat?
Ken
I guess it's just like really literally there. Yeah, like, like also, weather is hot.
Ben
Can somebody tell me about the super El Nino or El Nina?
Ken
No, no, it's all. What's that big weather? Came up with it to have more to talk about.
Ben
I don't. I think it's like storm. It's going to be a wet year.
Ryan
It is so far, pretty wet if you ask me.
CJ
Dude, it's been raining all week.
Mike
Started super dry. I don't know, are we that far off like a normal or you can't check that like. Oh, at least for our neck of the woods.
Evan
I got a hot tape, I got a hot take coming up, but I got to verify the facts.
Ben
Oh, I'll take it.
Mike
I'm just saying it was super dry for a bit. Burning bands, all that. Now it's like raining a couple times a week. I don't know if it's that gnarly.
CJ
I actually did look it up last night.
Ryan
We're.
CJ
We're actually less than normal for June, but it does seem like it's been raining every day quite a bit.
Ben
All right, Ken's got a hot take for us.
Evan
Okay. US has all this air conditioning. Mean because it's so hot in Europe and they're so cheap, they don't have air conditioning.
Ben
Okay.
Evan
In 20, 24, 62, 775 people died from the heat.
Ben
Oh my gosh.
Evan
In Europe and Europe has more heat deaths than we have. Gun violence deaths.
Ben
Oh my gosh.
Evan
4, 000 people died from guns last year and they had 60, 000 people die to the heat.
Ben
That's insane.
Ryan
Hold on. No, where are you going with this?
Ben
He's just saying that Europe, it's not all.
Ken
It's cracked usa, rah rah rah, throw the tea in the ocean.
Mike
Europe bans guns, but they need to ban the heat. Yeah.
Ryan
Wait, are you saying that they need.
Ben
They don't need universal healthcare, they need universal air conditioning.
Evan
You just need freaking air conditioning.
Ben
That's crazy.
CJ
I couldn't do it.
Mike
Are you saying they don't use AC because it's bad for the environment?
Ken
Yeah.
CJ
Oh, really?
Ken
Yeah.
CJ
They try to say bad for the environment. I didn't.
Ken
Yes, technically, but not really. I think if you use an air conditioning system 24 hours a day for your entire life, you put out less pollution than a jet does in takeoff. So like.
CJ
Well, Mike, how's that make you feel?
Ben
I like air conditioning.
CJ
All those jets you've bought for us?
Ben
Oh yeah. So many.
Ryan
Yeah. Mike, you gotta offset your carbon footprint. Yeah, I think you're gonna.
CJ
Without the AC for the rest.
Ben
Yeah. I was like, we'd have to fly a jet like every time we ever fly again to even offset like one year of Taylor Swift's touring.
Ken
Don't bring the Swift, dude.
CJ
Just Think about how much are you
Ryan
trying to get me in trouble, dude?
CJ
Honestly, I couldn't do it. Like straight up, no ac. I wouldn't be able to sleep.
Ryan
I'd be.
CJ
I'd look like hell. I'd look even worse than I already look right now.
Ben
Just wouldn't be able to see.
CJ
Dude.
Ben
When he told me the other day, he goes, yeah, so we're staying at Alex's dad's. Wayne's. Wayne keeps it like a fridge in there. And he's like. And I still don't sleep with covers and I still sometimes sweat a little hot, which is crazy because I run colds or.
Ryan
Yeah, yeah.
CJ
I don't know what it is.
Mike
It's been pretty crazy, but. But I have not ran AC yet this year. How.
CJ
That's.
Mike
Yeah, it's been cool at night.
Ben
You kind of get used to it.
Ken
Open a window.
Mike
Does open the windows and it is. And get the house down to like 60. Like we haven't been having nights that are 80 degrees. Really. I mean maybe a few, but not enough.
Ben
Like, how is he doing?
CJ
I had the door open when I was staying at my. My parents house. Well, my house is still being remodeled. In the winter I would open the door.
Ryan
Door.
CJ
There's a sliding glass door in the room. I was standing. I would open it and like cool the room down in the middle of winter.
Mike
Probably just makes the furnace pump hotter because you're.
Ryan
No, there's no.
CJ
It is an old house. It's an old house. There's not like central air or anything like that. It's just like a. You just turn the thing and it's like a floor heat thing for the room. So I had to turn that off. Yeah, I don't know, I just. I like it cold.
Mike
I might have gotten acclimated to the heat over the past few years though, because the room here is.
Ben
You definitely have a hot box. But I think, I mean it's like, like it's probably a good thing. Like that means like if we're traveling or wherever, you're like, oh, I thought it's fine.
CJ
Yeah, you're definitely less temperamental sleeping.
Mike
But Mike, would you agree every time we go somewhere, you switch the opposite beds and you make me go by the ac cuz you're like, I like
Ken
it way too cold, dude.
Ben
I have my house at 70 and I still am a little chilly. I just run cold. So whenever we're at the hotel, I always make whoever I'm with sleep close to the ac and it's usually someone like, well, Evan, you what? But Gavin's like, sick. We gonna be able to get the freaking snowflakes to fly out of this thing. And I'm like, oh, gosh. Yeah, he runs really hot.
Ken
I kind of do that to Spenny too. Yeah, I always said it too cold.
Ryan
Yeah, it's freezing up here. Like when we're running a podcast, we'll turn the AC down, but then it gets. It stays on. So when I'm up here in my office editing on. On a Thursday, my office is like 62 degrees.
Ben
You can't close your do.
Ken
Steak is too buttery.
Ryan
No, no, it's. It's too cold, dude. It's actually, bro, sweating our sitting. They're just like shivering, dude.
Ben
We. We got more air conditioning in this shop than we ever had. And boy, is it nice.
Ken
Nice four hole mini splits.
CJ
We used to be sweating our incredible off. No shirt on up here, just dogging it.
Ken
On a Thursday used to be like, it would get up to like 90 degrees in here. One, we had the doors open a lot more in here. And then it gets humid. You trap the humidity. You can't cool it down at night. The slab gets. But I actually, I've been seeing different guys, like smaller YouTubers and they'll be like, how do I cool my shop? I'm like, Dude, $2,000 on a mini split is the best money you can spend, dude.
CJ
I slept over at Ken's house actually this weekend. Ryan did too.
Ben
How'd it go?
Ryan
Oh, yeah,
CJ
his house was a little hot.
Evan
Like 68.
CJ
I. I had a hard time sleeping.
Mike
Really. I.
CJ
But it was very good, was fantastic.
Ben
And that's what I said to him. I was like, you should have been more drunk around.
Ken
I just passed out, dude.
Ryan
I saw like Snapchats at like 3:30 in the morning of Ken's house. Just bumping.
CJ
Yeah.
Ryan
But I didn't recognize a single person in the Snapchat. Who were those people?
Evan
Just the neighbors.
CJ
So, yeah, Ken, I'm looking around. It's probably like two in the morning at this point. Ken's gone. He went upstairs a while ago. He's just used to having people. Literally, the speakers are like, the whole house is shaking and he's nowhere to be found. I'm like tired. I wanted to go about an hour ago, but these people watch locked in. So I was kind of like trying to talk, whatever. And then I just was like, all right, we're just gonna go upstairs and go to bed. So me and Alex go upstairs, we get in our room the bed was shaking because he has so many subwoofers in the ceiling underneath it. So Alex is like, I can't do this. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I'm like, they'll leave eventually. Like 30 minutes, maybe an hour later, they finally dipped out of there.
Ryan
But did you lose anything in the process? Like a. Like a vase or something?
CJ
No, but I like to think I'm the first one to lay pipe in Ken's house, so.
Ryan
Ooh. I don't know if I'd say, but I'd say straw.
Ken
Maybe a little straw.
Evan
Maybe like a toothpick.
Mike
Mediocre wienering perhaps.
Ryan
All you have to ask Alex. At best, it's pretty good.
CJ
So anyways, I like to. Yeah, I definitely beat Ryan.
Evan
Do a fantastic job making the bed. The next day. I couldn't even tell you guys slept.
CJ
I thought you was out.
Ryan
Sorry.
Ken
We stripped the bed. We were like, you're going to want to wash the sheets.
CJ
Oh, I bet you want to know something. Is Alex, you and you and Alondra left before Alex and I. And Alex was like, I don't think that Ken wants us to strip the bed cuz I doubt he wants to remake it or wash the sheets. So then Alex put it back together.
Ryan
Perfect.
Ken
Dude, it was comfy beds though. Dude, it was comfy bets.
Ryan
I heard pretty good reviews.
Ben
Yeah, I heard.
Ryan
I've been hearing them actually from multiple sources. They must be pretty good.
Evan
Hey, what can I say? It's been for guests.
Ken
Casa Casa de Ken. Quite the. Quite the hosting place.
Mike
Something light for lunch today.
Ken
What are we having?
Mike
Lasagna. No, I absolutely love it. And it's completely up to who's eating, like on what your portion is. But there's something about an 80 degree day and a lasagna French bread lunch that'll really slow it down.
Evan
80 degrees with 80 humidity.
Mike
You know, it's very first world problems to not actually complaining, just stating that it's so good I'm gonna overeat meat.
Ken
It really is how it happens.
Ben
Yeah, it will do that to you. Like some of those heavy meals, you're like, dude, I mean, I don't even eat this good on Thanksgiving. For some of those. When she really balls out, me and C.J.
Mike
always, we just have the like the little kind of inside joke where it's just like, oh yes, something light where it's like pot roast and mashed potatoes and just a full Thanksgiving spread. Stuffing or whatever. Oh, yes, something like a salad to
Ben
start, a big slice of carrot cake to Finish it off.
Ryan
Off.
Ken
Do you guys see that video of that guy at Pike's Peak just missing the corner?
Ben
Can we watch that?
Mike
Pretty violent.
Ryan
That looks off.
Mike
He was okay, though, right?
Evan
He is so lucky that he just watch it.
Ben
I mean, that's the beauty of a, you know, I don't know, quality watching here.
Ryan
Is this a mudslide?
Ben
Yeah.
Ryan
Is this a mudslide?
Ken
This isn't what I meant to show you guys, but I'm intrigued.
Ben
Trying to figure out what's moving and what's not.
Evan
Holy.
Ryan
What is.
Ken
Why are they still standing there?
Ryan
How is this happening?
Mike
Excessive rain on a steep slope.
Ken
Here we go.
Ryan
Oh, my.
Ben
There's an in my. Oh, gosh. Oh, my gosh. He got so lucky that he didn't fold it around a tree. Dude. Like, no major trees. He's chilling.
Ryan
What kind of car was it?
Ben
Looks like a really expensive race car. I think it was a Porsche.
Ryan
It looks like a McLaren.
Ben
You're probably right.
CJ
You okay?
Mike
I'm good.
Ben
Okay.
Ken
I mean, think about one being a spectator. See this guy? I want to go back to the in car. Leave this bankman. Leave in fifth gear.
Ben
Fourth gear.
Ken
Yeah. He just clicks fifth and misses it. Like, you have to be like, I'm going to go peel this guy out of his car.
Mike
Wonder if he blacked out and tried to downshift. And that seemed like a random time to grab fifth.
Ken
Well, I. I think he didn't know that there was a corner there. I'm assuming there's so many different corners. You just. He just made a mistake. But, yeah. What a crazy race to be running.
Ryan
Where is Pikes Peak?
Evan
It's in Colorado.
Ken
It's 20 kilometers long. I wish Spenny was here to tell us how far that is, but it's pretty.
Mike
14 miles.
Ryan
15 miles. 14.
Ken
It's missed a corner. Pretty freaking crazy, though. I'd love to go watch Pike's Peak. I think it'd be really interesting racing, honestly. I think just rally racing is probably the coolest type of car racing, dare I say.
Evan
I think it's got some of the highest consequences.
Ken
And that's why I think. I think you're on dirt, you're sliding around. The only bummer is it's timed, not bumper to bumper.
Ryan
Yeah, I don't know. I guess.
Mike
But sometimes they'll still end up dicing or like racing. Because don't they do, like, launches every minute?
CJ
Yeah, you.
Mike
So then, yeah, you can get into
Ken
a battle, but they do it around here. They do the Ojibwe rally But I just, I just don't want to hop in our shitty Subaru and wrap it around a tree. Like I just, I'm scared.
Ryan
It's pretty crazy how little you like see or hear about rally now that Ken Block.
Ken
Yeah.
Ryan
Isn't around. I mean him and Travis Pastrana. But yeah, it is true. More than Travis Pastrana. Like Travis Pastrana does so many things and he's legendary and so many things. But that was kind of Ken Block's like name to fame you could call it where you know, he took that and then went with like all the gymkhana from there there. So you'd see like these rally cars and like these viral moments where rally just didn't have that before Ken Block and now you just, you don't see or hear. At least I don't. Maybe, maybe the sport's still doing good.
Ken
But I. Yeah, I hope it is.
Ryan
Which is kind of just like. It just shows like the impact that he had on it and the difference that he made.
Mike
Just imagine it's another one of those racing sports that is extremely expensive to do with. Not a lot of return.
Ryan
Yeah, dude, I.
Mike
Which is all racing. I'd probably.
Ben
Yeah. Like the, the racing didn't get any less badass. Like I follow a handful of like photographers that shoot the rally events because it's just some of the sickest photos ever. Like it's still sick as hell. But yeah, there's just no social hype behind it.
Ryan
It's hard to spectate.
Ben
Yeah.
Ryan
You know, because like impossible. You go to a part on the racetrack and you might see them for eight seconds.
Mike
Yeah.
Evan
You know, it's basically a thing you have to watch on TV or you have to just watch the recap of after the fact.
Mike
Was pretty cool when they do like the head to head at X Games.
Ben
Yeah, that was.
Ken
Oh, that was cool.
Mike
Which is almost like when I think of what rallying is almost not bad. It's like. But it was, it was cool.
Ben
It was really cool.
Mike
I think super easy to just digest because it's just a 1v1 race. It's like pretty apparent what's going on.
Ben
They should bring that back. But I also feel like everyone in X Games is always like they should bring this back and this back. Well, they obviously don't do it because of money and this and that, but they should bring it back.
Ryan
Yeah. Cool. Well, they just probably don't do it because of like spectator desire.
Ken
Right.
Mike
But it was different when it was at like the LA Coliseum I think is where they do it. But yeah, they'd go, like, in and out, like, now. X Games, I'm pretty sure, like, since COVID is like, just in different locations. Yeah, I mean, like, different events are just in different spots, and it's all spread out, so. So in a way, they could have a sick rally. But then you're spectating. How are you gonna.
Ryan
Oh, it's not all in one spot anymore. Really.
Mike
No. Unless things have changed again recently. But yeah, like, Moto X was out at Slate Ground, and then they'd have, like, skate park built somewhere.
Ben
Somewhere.
Ryan
And then kind of like Olympic style.
Mike
Yeah, kind of like that.
Ryan
Yeah.
Mike
But who knows? Maybe now things will be back to normal.
Ryan
Kind of.
Ben
Yeah. We kind of hit the last couple sessions when we went to Us basically Bank two years in a row where they did all in one stadium.
Ryan
Dude, that was lit, which.
Ben
That was lit, too. But it's cool when they can spread it out a little more.
Ryan
That's got to be such a nightmare to get all the logistics lined up for in one spot like that. Because then you got, like, the skate ramp, then you got the skate park, like, bowl, and then you got Moto, like, the mega ramp.
Mike
What's crazy when you look at it in the Bank Stadium, how much space Moto took up. And then it was like the BMX dirt jump was just this little sliver. The skate parks look tiny, like, if you're not down there by them. It was just, like, crazy how the space would get used.
Ken
Skating's hard to appreciate from 500ft away.
Ben
It is.
Ken
And.
Ben
And the skate park looked tiny. And then once we finally rolled up there, we're like, oh, this park is massive. I'm just glad they're still doing it.
Mike
It's crazy. Now it's like teams. I. I can't even talk too much because I don't know exactly how it works. But now they're doing multiple X Games. It's like a series.
Ryan
Teams.
Ben
Yeah.
Mike
And then you get, like, a sponsor, and you basically hire your riders.
Ben
Or like.
Mike
Like, professional athletes would be paid. Like the Vikings paid.
Ken
They're interesting.
Ben
Yeah. So it's like, just trying to evolve.
Mike
Yeah. Very interesting concept. See, like, how it goes. Like, this is the first year they're doing it, but definitely interesting.
Ryan
Who owns it? Espn.
Ken
ESPN did buy it at some point. I don't know if they still do.
Ryan
Sold it up off.
Ken
It's crazy. I just saw Dave Portnoy just released his book, and I'd completely forgotten that he'd sold his company for, like, Couple hundred million.
Mike
Bar stool was like 80 million or something. I thought, yeah, look, fact check it, cuz I just saw this pop up on my, on my feed.
Evan
X Games is owned by a private
Ken
capital now, 551 million. And then he bought it back. Back for a dollar craziest business move of all time. He got the bag and the cake at the end.
Ben
Are you able to imagine. Elaborate on how he did that? I actually was unfamiliar.
Ryan
He sold it to I think Penn, right?
Evan
Pen. Pen Gaming, which operates like casinos and sports books and a bunch of other stuff.
Ryan
And he was essentially costing them more money by like being a part of their publicly traded company. Like anytime controversial, he would go on and say something controversial. It would, you know, crash the stock price or something like that. But essentially what the big deal was is I think ESPN came to Penn and they were like, hey, let's do a gambling deal together. That was worth like several billion dollars.
Ken
Yep.
Ryan
And they were like, well, we can't because we're, you know, essentially in bed with Barstool Sports. So they were like, okay, we have this billion dollar deal, but we can't do it because of Barstool. We could sell Barstool and go through, you know, probably a year of that, or we could just take the. This deal right now that's on the table. The table. Give Barstool back to Dave Portnoy and then everyone wins. So they. Half a day one, Dave won, he got it back. But Barstool was losing money. So like they couldn't like, you know,
Ben
probably even if they did much money
Ryan
out of it as they wanted. And then they were like, all right, this is going to take a long time to do that when this deal might fall through. So it just made more sense.
Evan
But.
Ryan
Which is crazy. But.
Ken
And I did see in there that they had. There's a clause that if Dave ever sells again, Pen gets a cut of the second sale.
Evan
But the ESPN deal that Penn made, they shut that down in 2025.
Ryan
What?
Ken
Really?
Evan
Dude, it only lasted two years.
Ben
Wow.
Ryan
What was, how much was that deal worth?
Ken
Who's running Pen? Bunch of morons.
Evan
It was valued at 2 billion over 10 years. But it only lasted two years.
Ben
Well, big ups to Dave Portnoy then. I love his pizza reviews.
Mike
One bite.
Ben
Yeah. Everybody knows the rules. That's pretty. I love that video. When, when he. I don't know when this was in the last couple years when he went into the office and he was like, nobody around here does anything and I'm gonna crack down and Figure out what's going on. And he just started ripping on people and then he's like, what are you doing? Why did you didn't even come show up yesterday? And just. He's just roasting everybody and they're all like 25 year old kids essentially compared to him. And it was just hilarious. And then you kind of realized that was why Barstool was losing money.
Ryan
Funny.
Ken
Yeah, There was just people there, just.
Ben
Yeah.
Ryan
What are they doing now? Like what is.
Ben
Well, that's the thing. If you actually.
Ryan
I mean, I don't think it's what it used to be.
Ben
If you actually get into the nitty gritty, they have like side shows, spin off shows, talk shows, podcasts, comedy shows,
Ken
High Noon, they own High Noon or Surfside. And he also has the. His dog, Lucky. Lucky. Lucky something.
Mike
Lucky Strike cigarettes.
Ryan
Yeah, they definitely got a lot going on.
Ben
Yeah.
Ryan
Not saying that. A crazy amount going on, but like.
Ben
No. Yeah. Like what?
Ryan
Have like a grasp on the Internet like it used to.
Ben
No.
Mike
I don't know if we can show it or want to talk about it. We can cut it, but you guys see that clip I sent yesterday? The Instagram reel?
Ben
Yeah. That was crazy.
Ryan
Yeah. Yeah.
Ben
Oh, we don't have to show it.
Ken
Yeah. I was wondering what the hell was up with that.
Ryan
Yeah, that was insane. That just come across your feed.
Mike
I actually got DM'd it and it was only captioned lifewise open. I'm like, well, I got to see what's going on here. I don't know the context. I don't know who was in the right or if they're both in the wrong. But yeah, it was just a couple of chicks fighting and the one throwing down was wearing a life wide open hat.
Ben
She came out of nowhere too.
Mike
Just. Yeah.
Ken
If you're going to fight in your life wide open gear, we'd prefer that you win. Yeah, please don't.
Ryan
Yeah, but if I think she did secure the dub. Yeah, it's hard to say. I mean, I was pretty confused watching it, like what was going on on, you know, without the context of who's fighting for who. You know, who stole who's man.
Ken
Yeah, exactly. You just. You just really can't tell when there's that much fist swinging. And it's kind of the same thing. Like, don't ever get in trouble and wear your life wide open shirt in a mug shot.
Ryan
Do we have any out there?
Ken
You should send it to us.
Ryan
I mean, most people don't get to wear T shirts for mug shots.
Evan
I Feel like I've seen a couple of the guys like the body.
Ben
The chick gets resident.
Mike
All right.
Ben
Tits out. Out.
Ryan
No, Mike, they usually have to wear orange.
Ben
Oh, yeah.
Ken
What the.
Ben
You don't get to wear a T shirt.
Evan
I mean, maybe it's different elsewhere, but I know, like, around here, they typically. The mug shot is like, when you're getting booked into jail before you have
Mike
to, like, know you wear your normal clothes.
Ben
Right, right, right.
Ken
We have seen.
Ryan
There's got to be some out there.
Ken
Then code blue cam, you know, videos of people wearing life w. Open gear stuff, doing some bad stuff.
Ben
Please don't.
Ken
Don't do that. I love seeing be a good representative of the brand.
Mike
I've seen the life fight open stuff and a lot of bike life.
Ben
Oh, yeah?
Ken
Yeah. Which fun.
Mike
Yeah, I love it.
Ben
Yeah. That maybe I was like, I guess if you get jammed up doing a wheelie, then maybe it's kind of cool. Especially if you're wearing the legalized wheelie shirt that literally has a mug shot on it.
Ryan
Yeah. Can't believe. Yeah, I feel like we'd see that.
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
I got this video of. Of some Tom Foolery on a motorcycle.
Ben
Oh, gosh.
Mike
Oh, is this a Karen trying to stop it or.
Ryan
Yes.
Ken
I'm watching this, and I'm like, what the hell's going on? And then I realized that this is trying to stop him on the motorcycle.
Ben
At first, it looked like she wanted to be there, which is a horrible place to be whether you do or don't want to be there.
Ryan
What is this? But is this Bobby? Is this Bobby?
Mike
At this point when she's hitting him, she pretty much is. I feel like in the wrong. Like, I don't.
Ken
He's pretty quick on. And then the cops come and of course, go after him. Not the crackhead in the street, but Denver do better.
Ben
Denver.
Ryan
How's this play out?
Ken
That was. That was the end of it playing out. Cop runs up all pissed off. But I don't. I don't really know why it started, but I remember seeing this video off the original, and I'm like, what the hell is this biker doing with this chick on the front?
Ryan
I mean, this one's pretty hard to.
Ken
He rips a pretty solid heater.
Ryan
This one's pretty hard to argue on his. His point of like, yeah, she was just attacking me. When he just does the gnarliest bur.

He was sitting on the side of the road. I just was already on it.
Ken
Gotta give credit where credit is due. Laying the 360 heater was pretty awesome.
Mike
Awesome with her.
Ryan
Yeah, he definitely committed to it. Yeah, yeah, he committed to it.
Ben
That thing was barking.
Mike
Just say, you know how loud that was between the buildings and everything.
Ryan
Yeah. What's going on out there? And then you look out and you see a crackhead hanging from the front of a bike.
Mike
I'm not so solo as a crackhead. It could have been just a good old fashioned Karen.
Ryan
It could have been a Karen.
Ken
Just a good old fashioned Denver Karen.
Ryan
There's gotta be some.
Ben
I just have the most random stuff written down in my notes. Like I just have CJ while we were at dinner the other night. CJ to Justin. Yo, Justin, you should start feeding Hayes, which is his one year old son, liver. Ted's serious, he's like, you should start feeding him liver now.
Mike
Have you guys been seeing the people that eat the. So we just put meat in the jar and let it fester for like three months. Just like aged meat.
Ben
Yeah, I've seen it. Don't do that.
Mike
Don't eat it yet. Don't think that's a good idea.
Ben
Do you think it's a good idea where they.
Evan
Where it gets all moldy, then they cut the mold off effectively?
Mike
Pretty much, yeah.
Ken
Does the mold cook it or something like with the heat?
Evan
No, it like ages it. But that's not how you're supposed to do dry aging. I don't think.
Ben
I also have written down at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if we got GTA 7 before GTA 6 pre orders.
Ryan
Yeah, we talked about that last week.
Ken
We did.
Ben
We're excited.
Ken
Evan, why the does somebody pre order a digital video game that doesn't sound sell out.
Mike
Perhaps it would be that your download is absolutely locked in the second it goes live.
Ken
That does kind of make sense.
Ryan
Yeah.
Mike
Which still seems like you'd have a lot. Yeah, I don't really know. And maybe they have some form. I think that's a great incentive. I don't know, I haven't looked into it. But maybe there's a package that you can get where when you start the game you have a car stuff.
Evan
But why if the game isn't going to be released for an another four or five months, what is the point of doing the pre order now and not just in another two months or three months.
Mike
I mean, I agree. I would say the same thing I already just said is maybe there's a package that gives you some that people would want. I don't know why.
Ken
Or just want to look at it on your.
Ben
Yeah, I remember looking this up and it was like for those who want to financially plan, like spend the money now and not later. Which doesn't really make any sense. But I mean I love that idea. At the end of the day, day, this game is so anticipated that people just want it to hit their downloads the second it goes live.
Mike
I'm gonna have to buy a hard drive just to download this.
Ben
Damn, you probably will.
Mike
I thought I heard it.
Ben
I thought a lot of people are gonna have to.
Mike
Thought it's over a terabyte.
Ken
Jack, get on in here. I guess if C.J. isn't coming back. Come on in, bud.
Ben
Yeah, take a seat.
Ken
I want, I want you to show off.
Ben
Stomp on in here.
Ken
Shoes off to the cameras.
Mike
Cuz like at this point like what's a Call of duty? Like four or five. 200 gigabytes?
Ben
Yeah, I think 400.
Mike
And I thought that this was like
Evan
absolutely on it chat saying 250. But I.
Ben
What do they know, Jack? So if you know, you just got to keep the mic close to you. You can wear the headphones if not.
Ryan
Perfect.
Ben
Yeah.
Ryan
What's going on, Jack?
Ben
I'm just hanging around.
Mike
I have a controversial take from Jack yesterday at lunch.
Ben
Okay, let's hear it.
Mike
He said Poopies is his favorite Jackass.
Ryan
He did say that.
Ben
I love, love that. You know who would love that too? Poopies.
Mike
Nothing against poopies. I just. When I think of jackass characters or personalities of course he's like not even.
Ben
No, he's not even New age.
Ken
New age Jackass fan of thing for
Ben
you to say, which I think is. That's a fun take.
Mike
But did you see it?
Ben
I haven't seen it yet. No, but I watched. I don't know if you guys saw the one with Poopies where he went to Danny Duncan's house and filmed a video with him that really made Me, like, an actual. He's funny.
Ryan
So, yeah, what is the. What's the new Jackass like, ev. Because you went and saw it, right?
Mike
Yeah, it was kind of like a lot of just reminiscing over the years from the very start up until the current. So they kind of narrated, like, some old bits, some uncut footage, a little bit of new stuff. Definitely worth the watch.
Ryan
So they. They just reused old footage, or did they show, like, things that they never really released?
Mike
They showed stuff they never released. But if you were, like, a Jackass fan and, like, oh, that.
Ryan
You know the lore of it.
Mike
Yeah. Or like, you could find the clips are, like, out there online somewhere. It was just never, like, released on mtv or. I mean, maybe there was some stuff you had never seen, but I'm a big Jackass fan, and there was nothing that popped up where I'm like, that was old, that I'm like, wow, I never knew that happened. Like, it's all you would have heard him talk about in a podcast or you've seen the clips or whatever. But it was cool. I kind of just going through memory lane, if you will. I mean, because. What is it, 20something crazy? Well, I think it's. They're very, very, very late 90s, actually. I think when it started. So 99 would be, what, 27 years ago?
Ryan
So you think they're done? Yeah, that chapter's close.
Mike
They really did looks closed well, especially because they really didn't do a lot of new stunts. Like Stevo Knoxville. Those guys were, like, not out there there getting fresh footage, hurting themselves. Like, you could tell that ship has kind of sailed, which is understandable. Yeah, they've had a hell of a ride.
Ryan
What did Stevo just do? Oh, I just watched Stevo, for a David do bit, put a fishing hook through his. His cheek. You guys see that?
Mike
That was like an OG bit in Jackass, too.
Ryan
He just ran it back. Yeah, dude. What was it again?
Mike
What was crazy? I guess not to spoil it in the movie, but they originally, they had, like, a professional piercing guy come out in the boat with them, and they pierced him with the fish hook, and he jumped in the lake, and they filmed this shark bit. And then a day or two later, Chain's like, yes. Footage wasn't that great. You think you're cool if, like, you just. Just run it. Forget the piercing guy. It was just kind of weird having him there. Would be way better if we just do it. So they actually drive, like, four miles back out in the ocean and just fully run it. Back.
Ryan
Oh, really?
Ben
Oh, my gosh.
Mike
So, I mean, he's done it a bunch of times now. If you say he did it again, he's just shoving fish hooks through his.
Ryan
Yeah, because he put the fish hook through his cheek and then he jumped in with the sharks, and the sharks
Ben
was the crazier part in my opinion. Fish hook through the cheek, you know, he got past that.
Ryan
But like, the sharks, dude, how does that heal?
Ben
There's a lot of cells in your. In your mouth.
Ryan
It just grows back in.
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
I was watching Keller's video. What the hell can Timmy do? He can put it.
Ryan
Timmy.
Ken
No.
Ben
So we haven't. Was he actually putting it through?
Mike
No, it's just blowed out for some reason.
Ben
Okay. So piercing.
Mike
Did he have a good reason for why it's like that?
Ryan
I can't remember.
Ben
Okay. His is just different. It's not a trick that everybody can do.
Mike
And. And it was low.
Ben
Okay.
Ryan
Like, what can he.
Ben
What can he do?
Ryan
Well, he was like, dude, I can. I can put like a toothpick in my. My nose. And I was like, well, how big's the hole? And he's like, oh, I mean, it's pretty big. And I was like, what else do you think you can put in there? I was like, you think you can put like a screwdriver in there? And he was like, I could try. So I got a screwdriver, and he put the screwdriver through. Through his nose.
Ben
So he basically has. He has like a septum piercing. Hole. Hole. Not from a septum piercing.
Ryan
No.
Ben
But it just so happens to be much larger than your typical septum piercing.
Mike
I couldn't believe it.
Ken
I was watching.
Mike
I couldn't either.
Ken
I've been hanging out with Timmy all weekend, and now he's sticking screwdrivers.
Ben
I think they said it in Keller's video, and whoever said it was like, that is the craziest thing you can do. And I thought it was like, he. He's a funny guy. You can do all kinds of stuff. But yeah, for him to just jam a mid sized screwdriver through his nose and just chill.
Ryan
Still was pretty surprised by that.
Ken
Yeah, it's hard to be surprised with Timmy because that guy keeps you on your toes.
Mike
Yeah.
Ben
Should we rip that grip tester, Ryan?
Ken
Oh, yeah, I kind of want to rip it with CJ because I feel like he's gonna be like a crap.
Ben
Well, I guess we'll test our grip strength in the next podcast.
Ken
Yeah, actually, Jack and I have a few games we've been working on that we. That we are ready to set up.
Ben
I love it.
Ken
I kind of want to run back the IQ test test, but I don't want to, like, I couldn't want to possibly skew with the results of Evan being the smartest. So funny.
Ben
I think we should. I want again, I want. I want to do, like the whole team. I don't, you know, like the wrenches. Yeah, yeah. Pton J. Yeah.
Mike
Dalton see Peyton having some hidden knowledge.
Ben
Yeah. So I would love to do the whole team and then we can kind of really see what's up.
Ken
Run it through. I. I wonder if there's any other challenges that like, you guys watching have seen scene that you want to see us do. Because I'm down. Not jackass challenges, but like, yeah.
Ben
100 meter dash.
Ken
Oh, yeah. We just do like a fitness grand pacer test out here every week.
Mike
Perhaps a case race.
Evan
Maybe like a blood test.
Ken
What do you want to test in the blood?
Evan
I don't know. CJ has always mentioned, like, he wants to see, like, who's got the highest testosterone.
Ben
No, he does. CJ's mentioned that about 9, 000 times, so we should just do it.
Ken
He's very confident in himself winning, I believe.
Ryan
Believe.
Ben
Yes, exactly. He's like, we got to get our sperm tested and our blood test and see how high our testosterone.
Ryan
You can do a sperm. Sperm race. Have you guys seen that?
Mike
Yeah, I did.
Ken
I heard it was faked. The one that was streamed. Yeah, it was fake.
Ryan
Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised by that. Like, how?
Ken
I don't know. I don't know how that works.
CJ
Yeah.
Ryan
How does that work?
Ken
I saw that Togi just posted a video and the lady was like, your sperm is zero. Like, he's like, fully infertile,
Ben
disheartening.
Ken
It goes to him and his rolls. Roy, he goes, bro, that's just like, perfect because now I can't have a kid that God doesn't want me to have a little gremlin running around. So that's perfect to a T. And I'm like, that's a nice positive look.
Ben
Yeah.
Ken
On that.
Ryan
I think that might be the side effect of, like, years of steroids.
Evan
All the drugs.
Ryan
Yeah, usually what they're. What they're saying could be a side effect.
Ben
Dude, did you see when he set up a restaurant in Bradley Martin's channel Gym, bro. It just reminded me of something we would do and then like it if we would, like if Ken had a gym and we set up a restaurant in there and then Ken went in there and then told everyone in there he's just like free gym memberships if you knock down these walls. It was so funny.
Ryan
Yeah, I don't know. I don't think that was real, but yeah, it was funny. It was a funny idea.
Ben
Our seed.
Ryan
Yeah. No, no, no. Like, no, no.
Ben
I, I still use that term. Whenever something's not real, I'm just like, Damn, I got RC'd again.
Mike
I just had an RC clip pop up on my.
Ben
Evan loves showing me and I just
Mike
like he just kind of glares at me.
Ben
I'll never live that one down.
Ken
You got to question everything between AI and RC's man.
Ben
Yeah, yeah.
Ryan
I was talking to Spiny last night and he is back in his homeland, big fishing. And yeah, he went to like British Columbia and he is fishing for like halit and salmon in. But he was catching crab last night.
Ken
I know. That looks so sick.
Ryan
Yeah, that looks sweet.
Mike
Sounds itchy to me.
Ken
No, not the superior type of crabs. The British Columbia type.
Ben
Yeah, dude, he was on like that was a crazy boat. Like full blown gear. Camping out on like an island.
Ryan
I think we gotta go crab fishing in the deep sea.
Ben
Let's try salmon fishing in Michigan for first.
Evan
Well like fishing for grab. Isn't it just like pulling up pots or like is it like tuna fishing
Mike
Reaction cigarettes Y wear rain suits, always be wet.
Ben
Yep.
Ken
And have Mike row narrate it.
Ryan
Call him up. He narrates a Seabo video that actually be lit.
Ken
I love micro. Yeah, I'm a big micro fan.
Ben
He makes America go around.
Ryan
He's. Yeah, he's a true American.
Ken
You ever heard him tell the story about. He was in tv. Tv. He was like on qvc. He was like an overnight salesman. And I believe it was his grandma never really thought that he worked a real job and she was disappointed in him for never having this real job. You know, everything he did was kind of all on TV and whatever. And so when Dirty jobs became a thing, his grandma would watch and watch him do all of these hard, hard things, even though he was doing all of it. But really his job was to host the TV show. It wasn't that he was hosting the show. It was the most successful show on television at that time. It was that he was doing all of these dirty jobs and actually working hard for once. He said, he said he was like, yeah, my, my grandma said she was proud of me for being able to hard work, for being a hard worker. Not because of working grueling hours building a TV show, being highly successful. All that. But because of like scooping pig and crawling through sewers and stuff like that.
Ben
It's a great show. That was the epitome of a good idea for a show.
Ryan
Y.
Ken
It's on our. It's on our board. Should we should. Do I even say it? Do I say it and then someone else will do it and then.
Ryan
No, I think I, I think it's been done. But yeah, people have done it. But like, yeah, we've had this concept for a long time, long time that we go and work. Work hard jobs or Ken goes and works hard jobs is really.
Ben
I think we draw and each of us gets a hard job and you go film a segment out of it.
Ryan
But if, if anyone listening right now is like, oh, this I've got a dirty job. I've got a dirty job for you. Hit us up, let us know.
Ben
Preferably in the tri state area, but we'll travel.
Ken
Yeah, and really, really crazy ones would be great. Like yeah, we could shovel cattle, but
Mike
you know, gotta find the guy that changed the light bulb on the top of the. Of the.
Ben
I know, I thought that too. Like that one's not necessarily dirty, but that's an extremely hard job.
Mike
See, when we went to the racetrack down south the other day, they were working by helicopter.
Ken
By helicopter. The guy's hanging from a helicopter.
Ben
Working on a tower.
Ken
Telephone pole. Hanging.
Mike
New line. Yeah.
Ryan
Wow, that's pretty cool. That's a lot of trust in your pilot.
Evan
It's also right next door, like feet away from a active high voltage trans store.
Mike
Actually within, within reach.
Ken
In fact, you're actually touching it. Yeah.
Ryan
Holy crap, that'd be insane. Yeah, so hit us up, let us know or. Well actually we're going to link Jack's email.
Ken
Oh, we can do that.
Ben
In me up for please.
Ryan
Oh, don't say that, Jack.
Mike
Oh no.
Ryan
What are some of the signups that you've been getting?
Ben
I got a gay newsletter last time.
Ryan
Well, hold on now, is there.
Ben
It was not from me. Okay, pornhub. Just recently I got a verification email on. So please stop signing me up for stuff. But if you want to actually email, shoot me an email. I look at them all and this
Mike
definitely isn't going to encourage anybody.
Ben
Yeah, maybe, maybe we don't put that in.
Ken
We used to sign my, my buddy Blake up for farmers only all the time.
Ben
Oh my gosh.
Ken
It used to piss him off when we all got school emails. Bro, when you take your buddy's school email and start setting them up for like farmers only and farmer Wants a wife.
Ryan
That's pretty funny.
Ken
That's just good prank. Now that like, I feel like prank calling really a thing. So just taking people's email and signing them up for like at like a.
Ben
A festival. You just put a phone number in the porta potty and say like, call me. Yeah. Cuz that's a class.
Ryan
That is a classic.
Ken
That's og.
Ryan
I think Kens are. Ken was always like, I don't know, people getting my phone number. But we probably used to do that.
Evan
Apparently mine's in like a bar in Michigan or something. I just got a phone call about it last week.
Ryan
Is it. Is it c. Is it the classic Dumb and Dumber?
Evan
No, no, it's something. But we.
Ken
It was probably us.
Ben
Probably, yeah.
Ken
Do you remember which town in Michigan it was?
Ryan
Probably? Houghton.
Evan
No, no, the dude was blowing up my phone so I just blocked him.
Ryan
You weren't like, where'd you get this?
Evan
Yeah, and then he said like some bar in Michigan, Houghton. I don't remember what it was.
Ryan
It wasn't the last.
Evan
He called it out as a like specific bar and it was like in Michigan or something. And I was like, I'm just gonna.
Ryan
Right, so that's what I'm wondering. Remember what specific bar it was?
Ken
I don't know.
Evan
Remember.
Ken
Did you Google it?
Evan
No. No, I didn't.
Ryan
Didn't have service.
Evan
He was blowing up my phone. So I like, you know, you click on the button, then he blows it. You deny the call. Like it took me like three minutes to get to the screen or I could like block his number.
Mike
Yeah, it would have been hard to just airplane mode and then, well, just keeps popping up.
Ken
Did you try deleting your eim?
Evan
I did.
Ryan
Good. Classic troll on your buddies.
Ken
Good stuff, fellas. Well, we will see you guys next week.
Evan
