I’m so pumped to share this conversation with y’all as I have the privilege and honor of inviting my dear friends (that’s right—TWO special guests) on the podcast! In this episode, Colin and Calista share their story of rejection, intentional dating, and trusting God’s timing. We go beyond discussing relationships to reflecting on the truth of our identity in Christ, how past wounds and experiences shape the way we see ourselves and others, and what it looks like to lay down our lives in daily surrender to the Lord.Together, we answer the tough questions you have about relationships through the lens of Scripture:- How do I know when I'm ready to be in a relationship?- How do you discern if someone is worth pursuing?- What does intentionality without pressure look like before/during the dating process?- How do you balance feelings, wisdom, and faith when making relationship decisions?- How can we discern between God closing a door and our own fears holding us back? From navigating long-distance while serving on summer missions in Hungary/Japan to learning how clarity and honest communication can be one of the most Christlike things you bring into a relationship, this conversation is equal parts thoughtful, practical, and of course a whole lot of fun. :)If you’ve ever wondered how to date with clarity, how to recognize healthy relationship dynamics, or how to hold your plans loosely while following God’s leading, we hope this feels like sitting down with friends who are figuring it out too. ♡Go out and be a light! ☼#livoutsidethebubble

What's up, everybody! I'm back after a brief break from the podcast & let me tell y'all, this EP was worth the wait! ☆ ☆ ☆ Listen in as I sit down with a beloved mentor of mine, Miss Anca, as we discuss how we can practically heal from past trauma. She details her life growing up in communist-ruled Romania, and how her family adjusted to living in freedom after the Romanian Revolution. Her story speaks volumes of her tenacity throughout that season, as well as her experience of accepting Christ, a conversion that was largely frowned upon by her family and close friends. She also speaks of losing her sister to cancer in 2018, which jump started her path to true healing and freedom. We talk about the adoption of her son, her journey of healing from childhood abuse, and much more. Join us as we discuss how we, through counseling and community, can break free from the bondage of the past in order to truly enjoy the present life God has graciously given. ☆ ☆ ☆ “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 ☆ ☆ ☆ While trauma may not be our fault, it becomes our responsibility to deal with it. Tune in to hear some practical tips on how we can make living in freedom possible with the help of the Lord and others! Go out & be a light! #livoutsidethebubble :)
