The San Francisco Giants looked like they were going to avoid a fifth consecutive loss today, but the beleaguered bullpen blew the lead in the seventh inning after a horrific call on a Vinnie Pasquantino double led to a barrage of runs for the Kansas City Royals. The five-run inning spoiled a terrific start from Landen Roupp, who had only given up two hits and was carrying a shutout into the seventh inning before Mark Estabrook's blown call. Ultimately, the San Francisco Giants fell 5-4 in another gut-punch of a loss. Since returning from the All-Star break, the San Francisco Giants have only won one game.
