The San Francisco Giants played what might have been their best brand of baseball in all of 2026 tonight in a 3-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Oracle Park. Tyler Mahle tossed 6+ innings of shutout ball, and the embattled bullpen provided three innings of no-hit relief. Even the ninth inning was spectacularly uneventful with the San Francisco Giants in the field, a rare but welcome relief after much of the season has been defined by chaos in the late innings. Grant McCray provided a two-run home run to give the San Francisco Giants the offensive lift they needed to secure the win. The lone dark cloud, Casey Schmitt pulled up with a knee injury when rounding first base early in this game and he will have an MRI tomorrow.
