
The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens in Game 2 of best of seven series last night in Tampa Bay, evening the series as the two squads head up north to Montreal. Montreal came out with speed and intensity, overwhelming the Bolts for the first two periods, but the momentum changed significantly after Nikita Kucherov notched his first playoff goal in several years. From that point forward, the Bolts dominated the Canadiens, allowing no shots on goal for the entire OT frame. With a few lineup changes, the Bolts were able to emerge victorious. But Sabourin didn't bring the element that Greg had hoped, drawing a horrendous penalty with 2 minutes remaining in a tie game, giving Montreal a powerplay at a critical point in the hockey game. The Lightning killed the powerplay and entered OT with great momentum and JJ Moser solidified the victory with a beautiful shot over the shoulder of Dobes, who played an elite game in the Montreal crease.
