The New York Mets were shutout by the Miami Marlins on Sunday, 4-0 to drop their third straight game. It is the 15th time so far this season that the Mets have been held to one run or fewer.

Juan Soto was a late scratch because of an illness that is going around the team and with his absence went the Mets offense as of late. This was a scoreless game through 8 innings, but the Marlins walked it off with a grand-slam to complete the sweep.

It was the best start of Christian Scott's season, going 5.2 innings and working around some trouble a couple of times.
