The Cincinnati Bengals took small steps, but haven't added the needed defensive talent at multiple positions to feel confident they can snatch a playoff birth. Similarly, The Baltimore Ravens have had an up and down offseason so far and looking at the moves they have made, it seems clear they have not done enough to put this team back in a position to make the postseason after missing in 2025. The Kansas City Chiefs also have not quite down enough and still have major holes at some of the biggest positions of need. In the NFC, the Detroit Lions want to be built through the trenches and they don't have enough muscle there to get back while their division mates, the Minnesota Vikings, fixed their one key issue even if they haven't had a lot of big-name signings outside of Kyler Murray. Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting further away while the rest of the NFC South is taking steps forward.
