Who Are The Preds? | Making Sense Of Predators Season That Came Up Short

It's hard to make sense of the 2025-26 Nashville Predators. After starting out as the worst team in the NHL, they put themselves in a position to compete for a Stanley Cup Playoff spot, but fell short. Today, we try to make sense of this team and really figure out their identity. Credit is given to Nashville's turnaround from the beginning of the year, but it's worth examining the team's inability to start, poor defense and game-management issues. Going into next season, Nashville is going to need a bigger push from its bottom six, better performances from the defense and general consistency.
