According to a British high court. None of the climate predictions have come true and they just move on. Same with all the predictions of Donald Trump's first term and they just move on. That was very nice. Now, the media warned, right, that as this was the tariffs and the trade, this was going to cause chaos. It was going to hurt our standing on the world stage. This will be catastrophic. It's nothing an unnecessary trade war can't fix. Trump has been systematically alienating our allies around the world. We now have two of our closest Asian economic allies, Japan and South Korea, who are coordinating with the Chinese on how to respond to the US Tariffs. We have the Canadians figuring out with the EU how to coordinate. All bets are off. You know, everything we thought before, all of the red lines that we thought existed, long friendships that we thought toy barn.

I think we should be having a.

A long, hard think about this. That means accepting that there this trade war with the world. Accept it. Does it doesn't mean accepting. Does it mean accepting? This is going to be awful. Okay, this brings us to now, references available. We've now secured. President Trump has secured major trade deals with the UK May 8th. Vietnam, July 2nd. Indonesia, July 22nd. The Philippines, July 22nd. Japan, July 23rd. And now the EU July 27th. And since President Trump has taken office now the tally is at least $10 trillion in foreign investment into the United States. Think about it. China was buying up farmland and pulling it out from under us before, and that seems like it's going to change. People were taxing, they were putting tariffs on our goods while we were allowing theirs to come here freely. Now, $10 trillion, and that's not just governments, but also major corporations into the United States economy. And this deal with the eu, they're happy to take it. We told you back then, hey, we're the ones holding the cards. And these nations have been taking advantage. If you want to know how they've been taking advantage of us, just look at NATO. Everyone signs an agreement. 2%, right. Military spending as a percentage of your GDP. And you all get to sort of benefit from this collective protection. Only the United States and Poland did it. Some people weren't even paying half a percentage point. Four years. It's the same situation with pretty much all of our trade. And you know what their justification has always been? Well, America can afford it. America kind of for that, right? That's generic Scandinavian something. You can afford it. Look, our country, so small, we don't have the same diversity.

And you know, they didn't want to do this deal.

By the way, the EU has been one of the, I guess the biggest, like, loudest, craziest person in the room, other than Canada. Canada doesn't have any power, though.

Exactly. That was gonna be part of my point here. But, you know, they didn't want to do this deal. You know, they were pissed off at Donald Trump, especially when we went over there and started saying, hey, you know, that 2%, you know, 5 actually sounds like a really good number to me too. Right. And a lot of these countries now are going to five. So you're seeing Donald Trump bring these guys in and make them do what he wants. And the next one is China. We'll see how that goes. I know they're meeting on it right now. CNN was just playing that up. But I guarantee you, if we get a good deal with China, they'll be like, the United States is making uneven trade deals that could lead to war in the future.

I guarantee you that's what's gonna happen.

Of course. Absolutely. Well, we've shifted the mindset from you can afford it. So we should be able to do this to us saying, you know what? You can't afford to not have us as a partner, so we're not gonna be exploited anymore. Yep. You can't exploit us anymore. That's the shift. That's when you talk about America first.

What China did. China said, you wanna be in a market, Fine, we're gonna own everything.

Yep. That's not what we're asking for, by the way.

Although Europe has been like, okay, okay, China, Yeah, it's better than America because they're so arrogant. They laughed and they made it better. Here's another one. Here's the then. Hey, guys, it's just gonna drive up inflation. It's a tax on you. Tariffs that could raise prices for many products that Americans buy, potentially stoking inflation.

From food to toys closed to furniture. Inflation jumps as Trump's trade war works its way through the US Economy. Inflation is on the rise, thanks in part to Trump's disastrous tariffs. Prices are sending inflation to the highest level that's actually been in four months.

In part due to the President's trade war.

So think about what you just heard. Inflation because of Trump. That brings us to now. Okay? Not only is there. No, no inflation crisis, the year over year inflation as of June is 2.7%. Yeah. 2.7%. Now, that's pretty normal, right? Between 2 and 3, I think we had below like 1.8 during Donald Trump's first term, which was pretty much unheard of.

Something like that.

Yeah, but 2.7 is right. Right about average. With more context, compare it to Biden, it was 5% average. Geez. Including, by the way, his worst year, 2022. 9%. 9%. And now we have five months in a row where inflation is lower than expected. And I wonder why it's lower than expected. Could it be because all of the financial experts and those in media, and by the way, those in dc, they were Chicken Little saying the sky was falling. Maybe the same thing with this big beautiful bill, right? It cuts spending by 1.7 trillion. I don't know exactly what it ends up being now. And they're going, actually, this is going to add to the deficit. Well, actually, no, it's not. Actually, no, it's not. So all of their predictions from the experts, they have been verifiably false. And I want you to remember this. Hold the left's feet to the fire on this. They just move on. Florida's not supposed to exist. Do you guys know that with climate change, Florida's not supposed to be a thing. Do you guys understand that? Why isn't everyone just going, hey, Florida's still a thing. Well, climate. Just shut up. Florida is still a thing.

Yeah, it's still there, boys. By the way, during the Biden administration, the 5% was the economy opening back up.

Remember the COVID that they ran for him on that average 5%, when it got up to 9%, they're like, all right, this is getting a little high. Maybe he needs to do something. 2.7% is.

And with the EU trade deal, again, we talked about this. We're all Americans. We should be very happy when something good happens for everybody in America. Really, you get a trade deal done and they're not being taken advantage of anymore. You know what they're saying? US consumers are going to pay 15% more. That's the tariff on stuff coming in for European goods. Has that happened with any other country so far?

You've been wrong on everything. Do you just want to take a minute maybe, and just shut up and reflect on the mistakes you've made in life that led you to be an economist?

Well, you know what I will say, too, President look, everyone makes some missteps and we've talked about the Epstein. I don't think the handling has been great. I think there have been some issues pretty significant. But on these trade deals, I mean, $10 trillion in foreign investments in the United States, that number coming out of my mouth, if it were in a movie like, he's the best president of all time, he had $10 trillion, you'd be like, this writing's so weak. Come on, pick a more realistic number. He's so good at it. People say credit where credit's due. He's the best leader on the world stage. I think it's certainly arguable ever as far as negotiating these kinds of arrangements. We have never been in this position and we should be. Think about that for a second. We are the wealthiest nation and not just as far as finances, but as far as technology, as far as intellectual ability, patents. We really are the most successful wealthiest nation of all time. And we've been capitulating to third stringers. That's over. And you know who? Everyone, everyone in the world benefits from this now. People in Europe and people, they're going to be getting access at least to some American goods that they've wanted for a long time, but because their prohibitive governments wouldn't allow it. Hey now, you know what? Let's let the games begin. We're getting closer to what is a free market economy. The left is always wrong on these predictions and they tell you, well, financial experts, financial experts, I almost would sort of set this as a premise. If they're a liberal, they can't be a financial expert. It's not a thing, it's not a possibility. That's my opinion. You guys can comment below too. How have you been affected? Genuinely? We talked about Trump's first term, how affordable everything was and then how everyone was feeling it under Biden's term. Have you noticed a shift? Do you think that your money goes a little bit further? Where do you notice this most? And not to be anything other than a day late and a dollar short. This is a guy who called all Tea Partiers racist. This is a guy who was dyed in the wool Barack Obama. This is a guy who said that using the word socialist was actually a racist dog whistle. You meant to use the N word. He was the tip of the spear as far as woke activism and now sees that he's a little too old and he's not woke enough for them. So don't trust this guy whatsoever. And he's sitting there. It sounded about right. Yeah, because you were saying it. Because you were saying it. And I'm sorry, we're not gonna give you the out because you've been saying this same crap forever.

The whole problem with Bill Maher is summed up in his comments. I, I believed that this was going to happen. He's not an economist. He didn't do like the research to understand what he did is he goes, well, all these people on the left are saying that this is going to happen. He just buys stuff and doesn't do any research on it and then goes out there and parrots it as though it's fact.

Yeah, they're so used to people not doing any research for themselves on the left that they thought this would work. Now, of course they got called on it and so it was immediately deleted and then they replaced it with this where they go, look, beef is up 9% since January. Keep that up there. First off, that's a horrible graphic.

Well, for the party of nuance, they really hate context. Again, the context is okay, what's the comparison for inflation? Now, beef has been more affected by inflation than some other consumable goods. But the inflation, now it's 9% since January tends to go up in the summer. Yeah, but it was 20 something percent percent for several years under Biden. They don't want you to look into the context. They don't believe in nuance. They believe in propaganda, which is why they want everyone removed who disagrees with them.

And also on the beef thing, they were telling me that part of it was a market shock because of beef coming in through Mexico was stopped because of worms or something that were infesting the cattle. And they were like, hey, we got to Keep these cattle off the market. That happens sometimes. You get it with beef that comes from different countries. You have to kind of stop it for a little bit. Disease or something. And that's part of the reason that beef went up 9%.

Right? Yeah. And it's still not as bad as what was happening under Biden years. Yeah.

Does this sound like someone who is in a position of hey, Donald Trump chickened out. Or does it sound like someone who has to eat some humble pie?

This deal might be very one sided and the real question is who really benefits from this deal? Spoiler alert. It's definitely not the EU. Parts of this deal really suck. The 15% tariff on all goods. Honestly, that part felt unavoidable, especially when you look at the other deals that Trump has pushed through in recent weeks. I think the idea of building a list of exemptions where tariffs will be 0% is a decent start and could improve drastically over time. But what really bothers me are the investments. $600 billion into the US while European companies are struggling to compete. That is not how we are going to make our industry at home stronger and more competitive. And don't get me started on energy. We spent hundreds of billions of euros on Russian gas. We're heading straight into another dependency, swapping Russian gas for American lng. That really isn't how we build strategic autonomy.

What can you believe? We're not going to be buying energy from Russia, but now from the free country of United States? Even though we lobbied everyone to fight Russia.

That's like England buying gas from the Nazis in 1938.

I think it's a good idea. What really bothers me is that even though we shouldn't get money from Russia is that the US Is doing good and we're not doing as good. Good, good.

Yeah, exactly. Even the British outlet, the Financial Times, they, they had to admit this. They wrote, America's trading partners have largely failed to retaliate against Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs, allowing a president taunted for, quote, always chickening out his raise nearly $50 billion in extra custom revenues at little cost. Yeah, that's called winning. You should try it sometime.

It's been a while for them, by the way. By the way, this is Donald Trump again. According to cnn, he's reducing the deadline for Russia to make a peace deal with Ukraine to something like 10 or 12 days instead of 50.

Some people in Europe don't do it. We haven't transitioned our energy yet.

Yeah, I was going to say this is great timing. He's like, oh, make the deal with the eu. Okay, well, now that we've secured that deal.

Listen, Josh, you're not wrong. You take away time, take away a huge future, like, cash cow for Russia, and they see the writing on the wall going, okay, maybe. And look, I'm not saying they will. I'm just saying, like, it does give him a lot more leverage to be like, see, they're not going to be. They're not going to be supporting you anymore.

This is going to do. It's a benefit. Donald Trump's not a pacifist. But Donald Trump absolutely prefers negotiation and pulling every lever available to him before some type of armed conflict. And there are a lot of levers economically, and that's his strong suit. And absolutely, this is going to box Russia in. And you have people in Europe complaining about it, which tells you they just hate freedom. They hate your First Amendment rights, they hate your Second Amendment rights. They hate that the United States left and became a bastion of freedom and is more successful than them. It's over Europe telling us how to live. No, we're not going to. Why not? So if you're familiar with Travers, the Walmart right off U.S. 31. All of this unfolding around 5pm today. We did get an update from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office tonight here.

We know right now, As I mentioned, 11 people currently being treated. Six of the victims are men, five women, at least three had to have surgery tonight. Police have identified the suspect as a 42 year old man. We're also learning he used a folding knife in this attack. A motive still unclear.

Hmm. So that's, that's what you saw there. Right. And looking for more information. And then what I'll present to you was publicly available at this time. This is what the sheriff had to say.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff, Michael Shea said in a press conference that this did appear to be a random attack and would not comment on the mental condition of the suspect who is in custody.

Based on the information that we have at this time, it appears there were random acts. That there was no. The victims were not predetermined. And again, that's based on the information we have at this time. Okay, so all this information was coming out now what I'm about to show you was available and they certainly would have known this the second they showed up to the conflict. You just think that was a stabbing and some citizens maybe got involved, maybe subdued them, the cops took care of it. Right, that would be your impression. Anyone here, if you haven't heard this story yet, Anyone here thinking, oh, thank God he was stopped by a bystander, by a good guy with a legal gun. Anyone thinking that? Because that's exactly what happened. Here's the video of the man being stopped. Yep. The black man is holding his gun. Put it down. Believe those are some victims. See, the black man is holding his gun on him, by the way. Should have shot him. If he doesn't drop the knife, you shoot him. And a bunch of those guys right.

And we'll get to. That's what you would think. Here's the thing. This man shouldn't be around in civilized society. It's the same with all these big cities. They become hellscapes. You guys have kids, you guys try walking through a big. You visit New York now and they get scared. I'm sorry. At a certain point, oh, if you have 1, 2, 3 counts of assault and counts of terrorism and if you don't get to panhandle this man. There have been complaints about this man in the Walmart parking lot demanding money from customers. This is not new, but because it's Michigan and because of the soft on crime idea, this guy with at least 12 counts that he has had in the past including violent assault is still allowed to go. Because we don't want to be mean to our homeless population and we also don't want you to be able to carry firearms. That's the position of the left. This man Gilly, he's also from Afton, Michigan and was last listed as living in Josh.

No, Sheboygan. Very big in sheboygan. It's about 80 miles north of Traverse City. I've been to that Walmart, by the way. It's a beautiful town, Traverse City. It was a beautiful town on the water. Gorgeous. In Michigan, up in northern Michigan. I would have once upon a time recommended you go. Since 2019 they've seen of course a drastic increase in violent crime which is trending up in all of Michigan. 2021, Michigan passed a bunch of soft on crime initiatives like bail reform, racing, reducing probation and jail time, issuing citations over arrests. And so that's led to homelessness in the area increasing in traversity like at 2 times the rate of the rest of Michigan where it's also increasing. To be clear, near that Walmart there was a Pines park, we've been there, a homeless encampment that had to be broken up because there was open air drug use. There had been break ins in nearby businesses. And of course people have been complaining saying hey, our, our city is changing, this is not. And the left goes, no, no, we have to have bailiff. No, no, we have to. This is how you end up with Dirty Harry and Charles Bronson and Death Wish. This is how you end up with that. I did a whole segment on that several years ago saying you're going to see the return of the vigilante. And maybe because of all of that, because of Michigan's policies that have led to more crime, because of the left's viewpoint and their policies on carrying firearms, they don't want to cover the story where Michigan dropped the ball with their policies and that ball got picked up by a legally carrying citizen to stop a man with a knife who stabbed 11 people. None of that fits into their narrative and so they cover it as, hey, there was a stabbing that ended up kind of being stopped here. Again, just to show you how egregious it is, go read these some more headlines and descriptions on this story from NBC. The suspect, a Michigan residential, was captured in three minutes thanks to quote, citizen involvement and was not injured. The New York Times. Citizen involvement brought the attack to an end, the sheriff said, declining to elaborate. AP A sheriff's deputy arrived within minutes and took the man into custody. And people in the store also helped apprehend the suspect and treat the victims. It was a man on a wild stabbing spree who should not have been living among those in society because he's a violent crime criminal, but because of soft on crime policy, was able to stab many people and he was stopped by a good guy with a gun. For the citizens, it could be 10 seconds, it could be one minute. Just to give you an idea. Yeah. When people say, oh, you really think you're gonna stop someone with a gun? Yeah, exactly. Yes, absolutely. And by the way, it's why every single one of you should purchase a firearm and get good with said firearm and carry it as often as you possibly can. I want as many people legally carrying firearms in this country as humanly possible. Please go do so right away because I've used this stat many times. But the reason there's such a widespread 500,000 to 3 million annual defensive uses of firearms. That means every single year. Now, the reason it's such a widespread is because that right there, do you think that would have been reported if not on video as a defensive use of a firearm? They obviously don't want to mention it. He never fired around. There are so many that are never documented where someone just pulls out a gun. Hey, you're a woman, you're about to be raped. You pull out your revolver and guess what? They move on to somebody else. And that doesn't get reported. So at least 500,000 to 3 million compared to anywhere from 10 to 30. I think the highest year is 36,000 deaths from firearms. Most of them are suicide.
