These are questions that are fair to ask, but I also think it's important to recognize that it has been President Trump's best week ever, and it's been one of the best weeks ever for the United States, at least of the last 20 years. Because the CBO has put this out there. It's increased spending Rhinos. Okay. And I get it. I understand why you would be very hesitant to trust anything. But I will say before we get to anything, let me ask you this. I've heard about this for a long time. How important to you would it be for us to remove illegals from social entitlements and have a work requirement? What are you willing to sacrifice, I guess to get that? Because it's a very long procedure right now and you're not going to get everything you want. To me that's a huge deal. It's about as much as can be asked for in a bill like this. And to me it's one of those pretty close to by any means necessary. If we can kick illegal aliens off of, for example Medicaid, Social Security though that defers to the states and have a work requirement for young, able bodied, childless Americans who are collecting Medicaid, to me that would be a huge win. And you know, we could be at risk of losing that because the perfect is the enemy of the good. So Saturday night there was a late night vote in the Senate to sort of move this forward, the BBB as it's being called. So the Senate stayed up, barely getting enough votes to advance it. The President this morning calling it a great victory. Now Senate Majority Leader John Thune could.

Oh, okay. Let's see what he says. Something else he said last week, well look, it's a great bill. It's a massive tax cut. If it's not approved, your taxes will go up by 68%. Think of that. 68, a record, the highest in the history. The Democrats won't approve it only because politically it's so good for the Republicans. The Democrats aren't approving it. But think of what they're not approving. They're not approving border security. We've done a great job at the border, but we have to add some war. We have to do, you know, various things. We have no money for that. The 68% figure is fiction, and it is such fiction that the White House wouldn't even defend it on condition of anonymity when I asked for comment. No defense whatsoever. There was no credible estimate that not passing this legislation would produce a 68% tax hike. Now, the nonpartisan think tank, the Tax Policy center did say that there would be an average tax hike of about 7.5% if this bill didn't pass as a result of certain provisions. Are you just taking individual income taxes? I would be one of. I don't know that. 64%. Oh, by the way, it says Tax Policy center estimate 64%. I don't understand what they're putting up there on screen.

The big claim that you hear is the Senate version of this bill is going to increase the deficit by $3.3 trillion. Okay. The truth is this bill cuts spending by about 1.3 to $1.7 billion trillion dollars. Okay? All the deficit increases that they're talking about, they're just attributed to the tax cuts, right? Which theoretically would result in lost revenue. They're not taking into account all the other cuts. They're not taking into account the revenue that will be generated. They're not taking into account the revenue that will be generated by putting more back into the economy. And I've discussed this with you in the past. Please do research. Hausser's Law, where it doesn't really matter what the marginal tops tax, top tax rates are, you end up with the same amount of revenue no matter what the tax rates are. And it's always between 16 and 20%, typically around. So I don't know why the CBO doesn't get this right, but you can increase taxes dramatically and you still end up with the same revenue. You can decrease them, you still end up with the same revenue. You just end up collecting more taxes through other means, usually by people having more money in their pocket and spending. This is not new. So their claimed increase in spending is just oh, tax cuts. So if you have people on the right saying, oh, this is going to increase spending by $3 trillion, they're setting a very clearly leftist source that is consistently always said the sky is falling when there are tax cuts. And in this case it would be codifying the Trump tax cuts into law effectively permanently. Otherwise your taxes will go up across the board. And it does decrease spending significantly. Here's the next claim that you'll be running into. The bill is only going to benefit the rich at the expense of the poor. The same talking point. Truth is, here's the truth. The bill helps everyone, including the poor and specifically the middle class. So the tax cuts benefit all income brackets to be clear. So no taxes on tips, no tax on overtime, increased child tax credits. The sixteen hundred dollar like net loss they're describing to poorest households is based on losing, quote federal resources, which includes Medicaid work requirements. Again, this is just for young, childless, able bodied Americans and you only have to work 80 hours a month. So in other words, someone having to work 80 hours a month to get free, effectively forms of health care from you, the taxpayer who's been funding it through higher taxes, that's considered a loss. That's rolled into that $1,600. Yeah. How about, how about you can only consider it a loss if it's someone who's contributing. How about that? How about we remove people from these numbers who are only taking. They should not be included because those people are always a loss. But instead you're saying, well it's a loss to them. Yeah, but they're a loss to the country.

Exactly, exactly. There are also work requirements for SNAP and it ensures that illegals can't get SNAP by sort of giving states authority to work there. I know you're saying they don't get it anyway. Well then it shouldn't be an issue and there shouldn't be a loss. But it is, it is an issue. And it would remove ineligible people through a lot of these social programs, through better auditing, through ID verification, which you would have to do, I believe once every six weeks as opposed to now. I believe it's like twice a year. So these are basic requirements to get Medicaid to look like the Medicaid you picture in your head, which is a leg up for people who are on tough times, not a permanent welfare state for people who refuse to work. So just be. Exactly, let's be really clear about that. The increase in spending. Nope. Oh, the loss to poor Americans. Nope. It's a loss to a benefit to people who have chosen to not contribute to this country. And take from you, the American worker. This is what MAGA is, you, the American worker. That includes small business owners standing up and taking back what is rightfully yours.

To be clear now this bill, are you a server? Do you work in the service industry? Tip overtime. You are much better off. If you don't work and you collect checks or benefits from the government. You may be expected to contribute to the smallest degree humanly possible. That is what we are discussing right now. And that to me is important. Some things that are being debated, for example the remittance tax, I don't like that this is being debated at all. I think it should have been quintupled to 25% from five. But of course you do have people in the Republican Party who are going to put their foot down. They want to, they want those H1B workers from India because they gotta be buddy, buddy with big tech. That's a problem. The salt deduction we're looking at kind of goes back and forth. Some other Medicaid requirements, the debt ceiling may be raised, which I didn't see.

Why they did that. It was already at 4 trillion and everybody had a problem with it. So like, ah, let's do five then, right? That doesn't make sense.

Well, and the Democrats, of course, doing everything they can to delay the process, like reading this 940 page bill on the floor to try and drag. And I don't think they're reading it necessarily themselves. Sometimes they have the interns do it. Bernie Sanders, of course, also read from his home. Holy book. That's a good thing.

And then people are asking, okay, how does this go through the process to get to President Trump's desk? First off, the same way anything gets to President Trump's desk.

So once the Senate agrees on their version, the bill goes back to the House for a final vote. Remember, the House passed their version of the BBB on May 22nd by about one vote. So once the House and Senate agree on the bill's final language, it's going to go to President Trump for his signature. He took a pretty pragmatic approach to the process posting this untruth. He said, for all cost cutting Republicans, of which I am one, remember, you still have to get reelected. Don't go too crazy. We will make it all up times 10, with growth more than ever before. So it's going forward in the Senate. That's what we're looking at right now. And I think that the cuts to welfare programs or social safety programs, Medicaid, snap, that's huge. And to give you an idea why, it's also really big, you know that our border right now is secure not because of a wall that was built in just a handful of months. It's secure because we've stopped a lot of the incentive. So if we have a culture here that says, you know what, you don't get a free ride, and you know what, if you come here illegally, you're going to be sent back, people stop doing it. But we need to send that message loudly and clearly right now. Yeah, if you come here illegally, you'll be sent back. Also, you're not going to get all of these benefits that have been paid for by the American worker. Yeah, that's a big deal. That's just as big of a deal as the border security spending, which of course is important because it's a legitimate role of government. This is taking spending away from these Cadillac programs for people who are here not contributing and putting it into a legitimate role of government, at least partially, which is border security, deportations. It's not perfect, and I think it'll probably be even more mutated and warped by the time we get the final bill. But would we rather have nothing? That's kind of where we are.

Yeah. And Donald Trump didn't run on letting the taxes go up. Like that's not exactly what his platform was. He's always been making sure. He's always been for making sure the taxes are reasonable and that you can use those to drive economic growth and put more money in people's pockets. This is exactly what he campaigned on. And he gets to do it in a way that doesn't hurt us with a debt ceiling fight where we have to give in to a Democrat principle that we don't like. Name one thing Democrats want that they'd be willing to trade you for to get the debt ceiling raised. Because that's what you'll have to do. And that's what we've talked about from the beginning. This does, for the first time I can think of in my lifetime, it cuts something that's considered an entitlement program.

And here's the thing, third rail of politics, it's really reduced it down. There needs to be stronger messaging on this because just like when the left says, oh, what about dreamers, what about the kids? Yeah, but will you deport violent felons from our prisons who are here illegally? No. Okay, so you talk about Medicaid, you talk about Social Security, you talk about our social safety nets. Let me ask you this, would you kick someone off if they've never paid taxes? No. Would you kick someone off if they're here illegally? Well, they don't get on here. Okay. Would you kick someone off if they are young? No. What if they have no children? No. What if they're able bodied, young and have no children? No. What if they're able bodied, young and have no children and refuse to work? No. Okay. Would you at least require them to work 20 hours a week part time? No. Then the truth is you want to buy votes. That's what this points out. Yeah. You could say, how about five hours a week? And the answer would still be no.

And just to be clear, it's not even about, it's not about race. It's not about immigrants. We can't build a country off of this kind of person. Black, brown, white. We cannot build a country off of immigrants who come here, work, work for two years or work for the season, send money back. That's why you need a remittance tax. It's because you can't build a country. You can't build a country around young, single people who refuse to have children and replace our birth, replace the population. We have a birth rate problem. You can't build a country off of that. You can't build a country off of people, even if they were born here, who refuse to work, who never pay taxes and who take, take, take. The problem is that the kinds of people who cannot make up a country are precisely the voting base for Democrats along with big tech oligarchs. And so they have to cater to them that's why you are the forgotten man and woman. NZ, the working class American. That includes everyone making $40,000, by the way, to a business generating a few million dollars. You don't matter to the Democratic Party. When they say working class, they mean people who ironically don't work. That's super important. That conversation needs to take place.

All right, okay. Oh, this is. This is the one that I've been looking forward to today. This actually could be. There's always a value in contrast, right? Remember I told you you were going to have eight years of Obama, four years of Donald Trump, and then when we had four years of Joe Biden, I said just the contrast is what's most valuable. And that's why Trump has a really good chance of winning. And I hope that he continues this contrast because we see the difference, honestly, faster than we thought it would come to fruition. 8, 4. 4. So 12 years of basically one administration. Obama and Biden, it's an extension of the same. And one of these things is not like the other. The same can be said for New York City because we are looking at an actual communist who wants to take over a city that is already struggling. Make it worse and you'll have a timeline that will exist at the same period of time that Donald Trump is taking the country in the exact opposite direction. None of these facts or individual. It doesn't exist. It doesn't exist in a vacuum. Context matters. I actually think there's a real silver lining here. If Mamdani happens to win, we use Oran is a commie.

So keep in mind a lot of people don't realize this. And we talked about this when we covered this on election night. We said, you know, if Donald Trump is within 16 points, I believe was the metric in New York, we said that would be historic. That would be better than anyone since George Bush Sr. And that would be a pretty good indicator that he's going to win the popular vote. And we have some people here who, I mean, it cost us millions of dollars. Who. Their analytics were right. We were correct. We were also correct in calling Georgia. So a big story from that election that many people may have missed is that the biggest swing that took place for Donald Trump was actually urban areas. Urban areas. That's where he improved the Most, by around 8% on average. And that happened because of policies that people like Mamdani want to put on steroids. So if you missed this last week, Zoran Mamdani, he won the New York City, the Democratic primary, and there's going to be a showdown. Him, Eric Adams, and Cuomo. It seems like Mamdani is the clear favorite right now. So when you understand that Stalin Mamdani would be awful for New York, and if you also agree with me that I don't really care about New York anymore, at the same time as the country improves, then it becomes a cautionary tale, like Detroit. It becomes a cautionary tale like California, and people remember it. So let's first get to the problems presented by Mamdani's blatant love and leaning in towards socialism. So when people say democratic socialist.

Right, and I'm curious what you think this means.

I mean, do you like capitalism?

I have many critiques of capitalism. And I think ultimately the definition for me of why I call myself a democratic socialist is the words of Dr. King. Decades ago, he said, call it democracy or call it Democratic socialism. There must be a better distribution of wealth for all of God's children in this country. Grocery prices are out of control. The cost of milk has skyrocketed. Stores are even using Dan pause.

Yeah, well, that's because New York, the price of milk for a gallon is $5.93. Right now it's $4.00. In the rest of the country, eggs. Rest of the country, $4.50. In New York, $7 to be clear. So when he's complaining about the cost. Well, yeah, the costs in your city. And has that city been a bastion of fiscal conservatism? Keep doing more of it. Okay, let's see how that works out. Let's give it a dollar.

Jacking up the cost over the course of a day, depending on what they can get away with. It doesn't need to be this way. I'm Zahran Mandani and as mayor I will create a network of city owned grocery stores. It's not a public option for produce. We will redirect city funds from corporate supermarkets to city owned grocery stores whose mission is lower prices, not price gouging. These stores will operate without a profit motive or having to pay property taxes or rent. And we'll pass on those savings to you. And the beauty of it is that it doesn't just apply to corporations headquartered in New York City. Because when you say this, people will say, well, they're going to go to Florida. Yes, wherever you are headquartered, as long as you do business in the state of New York, you are taxable for that corporation.

Corporations that are making millions of dollars not in revenue but in profit. And the second is taxing the top 1% of New Yorkers. We're talking about people who make a million dollars a year or more. Taxing them just by a flat 2% tax increase.

You are a self described democratic socialist. Do you think that billionaires have a right to exist?

I Don't think that we should have billionaires because frankly, it is so much money in a moment of such inequality. And we have to ensure that we are unapologetic about our socialism. There are also other issues that we firmly believe in, whether it's bds.

Or whether it's the end goal of seizing the means of production where we do not have the same level of support at this very moment.

So just to be clear, seizing the means of production, that. That is the Communist Manifesto. That is communism. He just said it. He said it's not popular right now, but that's ultimately what we want.

Just go back to the grocery store example really quickly and see how. How long does it take you to figure out that this won't work? I now have a business that's going to compete with every other business, except they don't have to make a profit, they don't pay taxes and they don't pay rent. What do you think is going to happen to all of the other businesses that operate typically on one of the slimmest profit margins in industry? Probably about 4 or 5%. Grocery stores are just going to go away. You remember the food desert thing? That wasn't real. Guess what the reality of those things may be coming to New York.

They're not going to survive. You can't guess who's going to go out. Do you think the big chain grocery stores are going to be the first to go? No, it's every mom and pop shop in New York will immediately have to go out of business or find something else to sell. Yeah, because there's no way to compete.

All right, so when he talks about these government run grocery stores, like you said, it's like, you know, Obamacare, it's a way of driving all competition out of business. So they have a monopoly that would be paid for by taxes, which already has the. Again, a state that already has the highest tax burden. Those people are going to leave. He just told you, well, if you're headquartering. Well, if you do business in New York, look, you just gave the blueprint to businesses. They're not going to do business in New York. They're not going to do business in a dying city, in a dying state. And by the way, it's not just taxing corporations because he went on to specify and he said something he didn't need to say because he's racist. He said that part of paying for some of the policies like transportation, includes, quote, shifting the tax burden to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods. He didn't need to say whiter.

You could have just said richer in New York City. We all know what that means.

And he said, well, I'm just saying what is. I'm not really saying that. I'm starting from that prescription. And she didn't put his feet to the fire like she would have absolutely done. If any Republican had said anything about a poor neighborhood and accidentally said ethnic in that any ethnicity, it doesn't matter what they do.

Well, here's why. Because the media, they're far more offended at someone sitting across them advocating for first and second amendment rights than they are someone advocating for communism. If it was a Hegseth or if it was a Vance saying, hey, the first Amendment, the second Amendment really matters, or military, they would be fact checking. Because that is more offensive to those in the media than a self described Marxist advocating, by the way, for Marxism here in the United States and advocating for racial segregation effectively as a matter of policy, that tells you how much you should despise the media. If someone in your social circle was okay with saying, yeah, by the way, we just need to tax people based on race more. If they're white, tax them more. And you had an entire group of people going like, oh, okay, yeah, that's fine. And they lost their mind. If they found out that you carried a gun, would you still Be friends with that. Of course not. You would realize you're not welcome to the media. Your point of view, you are not welcome. And then they want to blame you for their numbers cratering. Watching rich celebrities campaign for government run grocery stores so they can have government run grocery stores and increase their taxes on white people while the rest of the country sees reduced taxes and more affordable groceries, as we've seen with eggs and milk under Donald Trump. That's a good thing. It's not good for New York. So to advocate you guys, just leave New York if you don't want to live in the hellscape that's going to become. But having that contrast is going to be valuable for the country. Let's move on to the next one. There will be a contrast. And we have a direct apples to apples chart here. Yeah, crime is. It also wouldn't be included in revenue losses due to crime in the city. So revenue, revenue losses are gone. They were wiped. We just don't count the theft. You, the American worker, the business owner, the bodega owner, the grocery store owner, someone who owns anything in your own apartment in New York, you're the one footing the bill in taxes and in stolen stuff. Because that's a social construct. Another stat that's quite. And by the way, this comes from Bloomberg, not a bastion of conservatism. This is the contrast, okay. The US Average as far as, as far as violent crime rates.

A lot of sort of the metric being used is pre Covid crime rates because it skyrocketed and then kind of went down. In the United States, the violent crime rate is down 6.4% as far as compared to pre Covid levels in New York City, it's still up 32.2% compared.

To pre Covid levels before or after sanctuary city policies?

[Steven Crowder]

Yeah, well, it's always, it's only, you see, sanctuary city boom gets worse, but if you just don't count crime. So again, we have that contrast. The costs in the country at large going down, New York going up. The crime, us at large going down, New York going up, way up. And he wants to double down on what has created the crap hole that is New York. Crime is going to continue going down in the United States and with someone like this, it'll continue to go up. Costs are going to continue to go down in the United States and there will continue to go up. I'm willing to bet that wages will continue to go up in the United States at large and they'll go down in New York City when compared to the cost of living. I hate to say that New York kind of has to be the sacrificial lamb here.

But I almost think it would be better if this guy won and you can lay it at his feet. Because New Yorkers, you get what you have been asking for. Some other policies that he's pushing for ending cash bail. He wants to have. He wants to permit safe injection sites, which means doing drugs in front of your kids.

He wants to decriminalize all drug possession. He wants to ban all guns and decriminalize all sex work, which is great for this guy. He's thrilled. Yeah. Freak. And then there's. There's this fun one there. He said we don't need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti queer and. What? What? This is one of the. Okay. Anti queer and a major threat to public safety. Okay, hold on a second here. Look, the racist thing is a trope. And by the way, you're more likely to be shot as an armed white person than an armed black person in this country. We have those stats. And you're far more likely to be shot as an officer by a black man than to shoot a black man. But I get it, right? It used to be okay, black people probably pulled over quite a bit more because some cops are racist. They might fit the criminal profile more as far as someone they're looking for. It used to be didn't just throw in anti queer. Just let's throw in any minority group. Remember, it used to be driving while black. Now it's driving while fag. I don't know how this.
