Steven Crowder
I don't understand.
Unknown Speaker
Turns out deportation's actually a breeze. If you just follow through and do what you need, you can send them back to Guatemala or Belize. Yes, please take a look at the crime. It'll make it turn red. How many should be alive at the end of the dead? It's a pretty tough time to be Selena Gomez out of touch over your head. Now the liberals just kick and scream while we think the nation's border was the greatest of these. Now it's time to shut off the immigration machine. Maybe God king Donald Trump isn't being just getting them to go back is as easy as it seems.

Hmm. Glad to be with you. It's Tuesday, January 28th. I don't know why I said that. I never said that. You don't need the date, you know.
Unknown Speaker
Wow.
Steven Crowder
Bring up the rundown lot to get to. Really looking forward to Jim Acosta retiring. He's done fired. Time to close for him. We've been building this one for a long time. We're going to be talking about deep seek AI. I know it's one of those topics that can seem a little bit convoluted. It's hard for people to understand because it's hyperly technical. But let me make it really clear. If the Chinese are telling the truth, then this will be the first time they have out innovated the United States in the history of modern civilization. And if they are lying, they've pulled the wool over the eyes of again Western civilization. Then either way you end up the choose your own path. And China bad. Also we're going to be discussing the abolishing of the federal income tax.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
Seems like Donald Trump, well he said it. We don't know if there's an official proposal and again the experts have been wrong. They've told you well there's no way to do it by the way myself include you know right off the bat admonish me. Admonish me.
Unknown Speaker
Okay.
Steven Crowder
Because I have said in the past I don't know that we could admonish.
Unknown Speaker
Well might need another admonish too in a minute. I'll give you don't be a pervert about it.
Steven Crowder
I don't you know, I've said in the past I don't know that we can do it practically. And I will tell you this and you can comment below. I'm not ashamed to say this maybe a little bit. President Trump has inspired me in some ways that I didn't expect where I kind of think we could abolish the federal income tax. And I'll get to that. You guys comment below if you think so. And because we'll be talking a lot about the Chinese. They know dumb at some point today. If you're watching on YouTube you may see this head on over to Rumble to live show weekdays 10am Eastern, even on Friday. Let's get on with the story. Captain Morgan, CEO, I have to admonish you really quickly.
Unknown Speaker
The Chinese have out innovated us before, just never in the AI.
Steven Crowder
What are you going to say? Fireworks?
Unknown Speaker
No, the noodle, like the brain gave me a note before I came in and he's like, hey, make sure you say it's in AI because they have done some things.
Steven Crowder
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker
Before. I don't know what they are.
Steven Crowder
This is where you pull us.
Unknown Speaker
No, no, I don't. I'm not.
Steven Crowder
We don't know. This is where you pull a sam can. Well, you're saying the Chinese have invented a lot.
Unknown Speaker
Name one. I do like that. Lane, give me a list.
Steven Crowder
Street food.
Unknown Speaker
There you go.
Steven Crowder
Boiled sewer rat in human excrement.
Unknown Speaker
Tiny lantern. Yes.
Steven Crowder
Tiny feet. Tiny feet get me hard as bamboo shoot.
Unknown Speaker
Solar is one of them. Solar and self driving cars. He said shut up.
Steven Crowder
Your wife have big fat feet? Not tiny like my wife. Smallest foot in the land. Barely walk. She wore 10 chicken. Now Josh Firestein is here of course as well. And let's go straight to this Detroit rapper and start going the other direction from China. Detroit rapper. I mean, the Chinese can't even get there. They can't wrap their head around.
Unknown Speaker
They don't understand this.
Steven Crowder
What you are about to watch is upset and I believe suing because this is an infraction. A violation of basic fundamental human rights. The human right, you wonder, in question is the right to lift even if you can't be lifted.
Unknown Speaker
The kicker part was when he started to talk about his tires. You know, I feel like that was a slap in the face. That was like my tires.
You know, like the driver said his tires could not handle her weight.
Every big person you turn down because.
Steven Crowder
They can't fit in your car.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, because they need to order the Uber xl.
No, I don't never have to order Uber xl.
He apologized and left her there.
Steven Crowder
The rapper says she's pretty tough. She can't stand in front of us as she's known.
Unknown Speaker
It's a full size shirt actually by the whole situation.
I just want them to know, like she's crushed. It really hurt my feelings.
It looks shocks might be hurting pretty soon too.
Steven Crowder
I knew it was illegal and I knew that it was wrong. Her attorneys, John Marco and Zach rapes.
Unknown Speaker
People on spring break in Michigan.
Steven Crowder
By law, it would be no different.
Unknown Speaker
Than a driver pulling up and saying, you know, I don't want to have.
Black people in my car or I.
Steven Crowder
Don'T want to have Christians in my.
Unknown Speaker
Car or muslims in my car. It's the same under the law. People with wet hair. The lawsuit is filed.
Steven Crowder
Since she posted the encounter on social.
Unknown Speaker
Media, other full figured folks have reached out saying this full figured I can.
Steven Crowder
Fit in this car.
Unknown Speaker
I really want people to see like what we go through as a huge.
Steven Crowder
Well, first off, you're not going through anything. Maybe over or under.
Unknown Speaker
Not over.
Steven Crowder
Side waddle. And I know what you're saying.
Unknown Speaker
Did you see that water fountain was an obstacle for her.
Steven Crowder
And by the way, for those of you who are concerned, don't worry. Of course she did find the right home and. Yep.
Unknown Speaker
Ah.
Ah.
Steven Crowder
Okay. I'm starving. Free demoss.
Unknown Speaker
You're not supposed to eat demoss.
Steven Crowder
It's.
Unknown Speaker
She's eaten a lot of demoss.
Steven Crowder
This is. This is not same as someone who is overweight trying to lose weight. To be clear, I've never just made fun of someone for being fat once. Just stranger I should say, of course. But you know, in my family, myself included, I mean I should fat you myself in the mirror all the time. But this is about someone who wants society to fundamentally reshift their perceptions. Because she's perfect. She doesn't want to look inward, which I know probably need. I mean, would need. What is it like a sigmoidoscope?
Unknown Speaker
But I wouldn't say perfect. I think she's still trying to get to her goal weight.
Yeah, she's 500 pounds. Well, I'm not making that up.
You can't get on my £600 life being £500.
Steven Crowder
Exactly. Exactly. You know what you are, DeMoss? You're a quitter.
Unknown Speaker
Yep, absolutely.
Steven Crowder
And for those who aren't necessarily familiar with this person, here's demoss rapping in a car, the song no love which is no surprise you showing me with your loyalty.
Unknown Speaker
So I'm looking for my boo you stole me you ain't guess me I needed you Sometimes I want to hold you tight Sometimes I want to use my fist he put me first and all his I call the shots When I went here my crush. I rock with you, I want to slide with you. This ain't my random mood.
Ah.
Steven Crowder
Fat and perpetuating the racial stereotype. Lovely. Don't you love the shadow? Boxing is T. Rex army, yo. I throw my jack. That's my jab and that's my hook up.
Unknown Speaker
I got uppercut left, right, hear a squeaking sound.
Slayer of Honda Civics everywhere.
Her new rap name is two belts.
Steven Crowder
The entire Uber fleet is just going.
Unknown Speaker
Hold hardest, working hard.
You need Uber XL, xxl, baby. Gosh, this is so bad. And she's suing.
Steven Crowder
You need Uber bus. You need Uber timeshare, Uber helicopter whistling. Look, look. If this person loses weight, good for her.
Unknown Speaker
Yes.
Steven Crowder
The truth is, I hope that this person does. Is it funny? Yes. I can only imagine the cost for those tattoos, considering the size of the canvas.
Unknown Speaker
Now it is somebody with an ozempic gun.
Steven Crowder
Judah, that sounds like those clowns outside with the bubble gum guns.
Unknown Speaker
I was thinking more like a tranquilizer, but it shoots us in.
Yeah, me too.
Steven Crowder
Yes. Shoots GLP1.
Unknown Speaker
All right, he's going a big one.
Steven Crowder
We have a lot to get to. We're gonna get into deep seek and the federal income tax. We're gonna do away with it. But first, Jim Acosta. And right now, he is on CNN with. Look at that. Bring it up full screen. I do that. You bring it up full screen, guys. Ah. Now they're in a small box.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. That is a sitting congresswoman.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, I. More of a leering congresswoman. More of a stooped look. She sits there like an owl. Like, how many licks to the center?
Unknown Speaker
Oh, my goodness.
Steven Crowder
I'm a guardian of Kahool now.
Unknown Speaker
That's the oldest Hot Topic employee I've ever seen. She looks like she works at a hot flash Topic.
Steven Crowder
How do you feel about Helena Bonham Carter?
Unknown Speaker
That was good.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, boy.
Unknown Speaker
Holy shit.
Steven Crowder
I'd rather be not looking into the looking glass with that one. That is. That's like if Dame Edna hated her father. His. This is Jim Acosta's last day. I'm just letting you know that it's live. Rosa DeLauro.
Unknown Speaker
And he chose this guest.
Steven Crowder
Yes, he did.
Unknown Speaker
Yes, he did.
Steven Crowder
Well, he wants to go out on a freak note.
Unknown Speaker
So it was a decision.
Steven Crowder
The news came that Jim Acosta was going to be bumping him from the 10am slot to midnight, which some people think, you know, is actually a promotion. And by some people, I mean no one.
Unknown Speaker
It's late night.
Steven Crowder
Yes, yes, it's late night on cable news right next to the Cleanse infomercial. Go poop every day. If you don't poop, you'll feel bloated, sluggish, uncomfortable. Remember that guy?
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, I do.
Steven Crowder
Just found a way to make money selling laxes. So some people say that he was fired and some people believe that he quit because his ego, which is by the way, taken an absolute piping these last few years, they believe that he quit. Either way, this has been a long time coming. Mr. Jim Acosta, a worthy adversary.
Unknown Speaker
It's time to close on on the Russian investigation. Are you concerned that that you may.
Have not concerned about anything with you may have an investigation because it's a hoax?
Are you.
That's enough. Put down the mic.
Time to close. Endings and be beginnings are ending and beginning now.
Go ahead. You say categorical question.
President Elect, can you give us a question? Us, can you give us a question?
Don't be rude. I'm not going to give you a question.
Can you state category?
You are fake news, sir, Go ahead.
Since you attack cnn, can I ask you a question?
John Roberts, Go ahead. John, can I ask you a question? No, no. John Roberts, go ahead. CNN's fake news.
I don't take that's not an invasion.
Honestly, I think you should let me run the country. You run CN and if you did it well, your ratings.
Let me ask, if I may ask One other question, Mr. President, if I may ask another question. Are you worried.
That's enough. That's enough.
President. That's enough.
Time to close. Endings and beginnings are ending and beginning now.
Are you saying that the president.
Steven Crowder
Got to let me finish, Jim. This isn't a cable news segment. I'm answering your question right now from the White House podium.
Unknown Speaker
President Trump will be here later on tonight campaigning for the man who wants to be the governor of South Carolina for another four years. That is Henry McMaster. And as you can hear behind me, Wolf, the crowd is very fired up. We have about a couple thousand people in this room so far. They are letting the press corps here know exactly how they feel about what we're doing here.
Wolf, time to close. Endings and beginnings are ending and beginning now.
That's enough. Put down the mic.
This president, are you worried about indictments coming down in this investigation? Well, just to give you a sense as to what's happening right now, you can hear there is a chorus of booze and other chants from this Trump crowd here in Tampa, Florida. They're saying things like, CNN sucks, go home, and fake news. Wolf, Obviously all of those things are false. This is cnn. This is the news. We are asking, come on and tell the truth.
Steven Crowder
And that's why more people are watching the Cartoon Network spongebob reruns right now.
Unknown Speaker
Jim, I'll tell you what. CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn't be working for cnn.
I know that it's time for things to close. I know that it's time for things to close.
Steven Crowder
Did I do it with my lips? Because I can't actually do it in my palm.
Unknown Speaker
I couldn't either.
Steven Crowder
I was never able to do it. I also can't whistle like this.
Unknown Speaker
Oh, man. Let me try. Put my fingers in there.
Steven Crowder
Come on. Don't throw that razor in.
Unknown Speaker
All right.
Steven Crowder
By the way, CNN is already reporting that things are improving. As President Trump stated last night, they.
Unknown Speaker
Say it was the greatest week, opening week in presidential history. And I think, you know, couldn't be a hell of a lot better. Even CNN is saying, this guy is amazing. I couldn't believe it. I said, did CNN really say that? Because nobody watches, so nobody was able to.
You lean in because you think, oh, he's being.
Steven Crowder
Nah. Aw, I'm so glad that levity is back.
Unknown Speaker
I know.
Steven Crowder
An insult.
Unknown Speaker
It works.
Hey, it's like when the bully stopped growing.
Steven Crowder
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker
And you came back the next year and you just kick his ass.
Steven Crowder
Yes, exactly. Hey, remember me? There once was a man from Nantuck. Bang.
Unknown Speaker
Who's the pizza face now?
Steven Crowder
Accutane. That's very expensive now. It is.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
Hey, you know what? Before we move on, because we get to have a. Not only when you see the undercover stories, not only when you see all of the elections stories that we covered that changed the face of modern media. We get to have a lot of fun here and discuss whatever it is that we want, provide references to you, and we provide you a whole lot more if you're a Rumble Premium member. Mug Club is Rumble Premium. Or you can try it for 9.99amonth, but you don't get the mug because that wouldn't even be cost. Landed. Nope. All right, someone. Oh, and download the app. That's the best way to do it. There's no way that they can break up. Much better the communication between you and Whatever. Now, Deep Seek a. Everyone is talking about this. It involves a Chinese. Correct. I'm just kidding. And as you well know, the Chinese are up to something. They're always up to something and it's usually not good. So this story may seem a little bit complicated and it is for me as well because obviously I don't work in tech. I don't fully understand, you know, the inner workings of AI. But let me just give you a little bit of a recap here. So since ChatGPT, it dropped in 2022, AI has actually helped increase the market cap of the top seven tech companies by 10% trillion dollars. And so when you talk about wealth transfer, and just to be clear, I don't care about so much the wealth gap, I care about poverty. But that's in a traditional free enterprise sense. You really are kind of looking at a tech oligarchy to some extent now, especially when they receive favors or favorable treatment from the government. So the companies include Alphabet, which is Google, YouTube, Amazon, Meta, Apple, Nvidia. $10 trillion. Now there's a new Chinese company, Deep Seq, and they're what they used to call a disruptor. Remember when that used to be the tech pitch or going to disrupt toothbrushes? I didn't think any disrupting. So here's the thing. Either they are telling the truth and they have just incredibly, at a rapid pace surpassed what these giant companies have been able to do. In which case it's the first time certainly in the technological arms race that the Chinese have out innovated the western world, which is concerning especially considering their alliances and of course their never ending allegiance to communism or if they're being dishonest, which some suspect and they've pulled the wool over our eyes. And that means that the Chinese have been powerful enough to crash the markets and again all paths lead to we have to be concerned with an adversarial government like the Chinese. Does that make sense? And which one do you think is more concerning? That they have actually developed this technology or that they have been misleading and it's affected markets and had this kind of a ripple comment below? I'll give you mine at the end of this. So here is President Donald Trump addressing Deep Seek. Just last night, the release of Deep.
Unknown Speaker
Seek AI from a Chinese company should be a wake up call for our industries that we need to be laser focused on competing to win because we have the greatest scientists in the world. Even Chinese leadership told me that they said you have the most brilliant scientists in the world in Seattle and Various places. But Silicon Valley, they said there's nobody like those people. This is very unusual. When you hear a deep seek, when you hear somebody come up with something, we always have the ideas, we're always first. So I would say that's a positive. That could be very much a positive development. Instead of spending billions and billions, you'll spend less and you'll come up with hopefully the same solution.
Steven Crowder
And that part is true, by the way. I do think, look, if this is the truth, if they have developed us at a much lower expense, then you'll have the competitors here in the States or, you know, Western world. They'll be able to do that relatively soon because people are able to catch up with each other in this sector. And that would be a net positive for the consumer. If that's the case, okay. Or at least there can be an argument to be made. But let's get into what is Deep Seek and how this affects everyone out there and what the concerns are. So Deep Seek, Chinese AI startup, right? They're based in, I hope, I think Hang Show. I hope I have that. You did pretty good. Pretty good. We call it Hangzhou here in the United States. So it was founded in 2023 by Quant Hedge fund manager Liang Wenfang, to be clear. And look, I do wonder too, before, you know, we always wondered how the Chinese AI works. And so we wanted to. I wanted to try it here.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, we've been kicking the tires on it and I loaded it in the system if you want to. Oh, cool.
Steven Crowder
Oh, oh, really? Okay, well, that's, you know, let's, let's, let's try it out. Hey, Chat ccp. Where's the best spot to vacation? China is number one place to visit. Beijing has much to offer, much to see and do. It is beautiful and big like Xi Jinping penis. Well, hey, that's big. Big penis. No, that's unlike Gerald. What?
Unknown Speaker
Why are you picking on me?
Steven Crowder
Hey, big guy. How it feel to have less of a college football career record than Rudy? Wow. Little less than Rud. You have all the nettle gift to be athlete, but to fail. Ask Chinese AI best Notre Dame players. You not on it. It's very long, like she's in pink penis. Okay, I see the propaganda direction that this is going. It's gonna be continuing. Oh, he talks the funny man. Yeah, I see funnier joke in fortune cookie. Hey, I have one here. It say you suck.
Unknown Speaker
Hey, that's harsh, man.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, I don't think. Oh, hold on, let me see what your fortune Say, no, wait, I can't. You eat them all. Oh, eat all Cookie and now can't see penis.
Unknown Speaker
That's not true.
Steven Crowder
Not like Xi Jinping. Very big. Okay, that's enough. We knew.
Unknown Speaker
Kidding me.
Steven Crowder
We knew that it was going to be pushing an agenda. And now I think, you know, it's removed all doubt.
Unknown Speaker
Didn't think it'd be so rude.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, yeah, I did. I'm not. I'm not surprised. I didn't think it'd be so blatant, so on the nose, but I can.
Unknown Speaker
See it a lot.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Unknown Speaker
It knows me so well.
Steven Crowder
Oh, yeah. Xi Jinpings. Yeah, you can see it for mine, too. Now, let's get into the next key bit of information here. What did Deep Seek accomplish? Right, and this is kind of where we see the ripple effect. Let me give you the timeline. January 10, Deep Seek released the chatbot on the App Store, went to number one. Okay. People are saying that it rivals ChatGPT's abilities. And they claim Deep Seek, that they trained their AI for just $5.6 million to give an idea. Chat GPT4 alone, it cost $100 million to train it.
Unknown Speaker
Massive.
So that seems suspicious.
Steven Crowder
That would be a huge. Obviously that would be a reduction. Yes, exactly. Any other business, if that's the case, okay, you pretty much just went out of business. Unless you can do the exact same thing.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. So it's.
Steven Crowder
Now it brings us to the next question that everybody is asking, right? Is Deep Seek telling the truth?
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, this is, this is, I think, the biggest question right now in the markets. It's why Nvidia is up a little bit today. And people are like, wait a minute, hold on.
Steven Crowder
Yes. And did they violate export controls? And again, a consequence here is if they did actually do this, if they did violate export controls, that means it's not working. That means the United States, the rules that we have in place aren't working. So there needs to be a change either way. So this, we can actually. The scale. AI founder Alexander Wang told CNBC that Deepsea actually did use 50,000 Nvidia, which would violate our export controls. H100 CPUs.
Unknown Speaker
You know, the Chinese labs, they have more H1 hundreds than. Than people think. You know, the.
And these are the highest powered Nvidia chips that they were not supposed to have.
Yes. My understanding is that, is that Deep seek has about 50,000 each one hundreds, which they can't talk about, obviously, because it is against the export controls that the United States has put in place. And I Think it is true that, you know, I think they have more chips than other people expect. But also going to go forward basis they are going to be limited by the chip controls and the export controls that we have in place.
Steven Crowder
And Elon Musk obviously in this space in the know, he responded to that video on X saying obviously just to.
Unknown Speaker
Give you some perspective, so they say 50,000 of these. It cost I think around a billion dollars plus or minus for them to procure that. I think that's the number that research gave me. If that's wrong, let me know. And X. So X is AI program that they have. So it's just XAI I think is what they call it. They used about 100 grok is the chat app for the chat bot. For that it's XAI overall they used about a hundred thousand of those H1 hundreds. And we know for sure that this company has used and has Nvidia chips. There's just other chips that they're able to use that aren't quite as prolific. Speed wise it'd be miles difference. So they're not supposed to have the 1/ hundreds. That's a major, major problem if they do.
Steven Crowder
Well, Nvidia actually made a statement yesterday and they said that the chips Deep Seq were using that they were actually fully export compliant.
Unknown Speaker
Well that's the chips that they know about them using.
Steven Crowder
Right.
Unknown Speaker
We know that Nvidia has sold them chips that are export compliant. The 1/ hundreds do not fit in that category. And certainly Nvidia is not going to come out and be like yeah, we did it.
Steven Crowder
Right, exactly. So it seems like there could be quite a few people who have maybe ulterior motives here, which again is very scary when you understand a 10 trillion or sorry, 7tr 7 or 10 trillion.
Unknown Speaker
It was $7 trillion. Was it 10?
Yeah. I thought that was a 10 trillion dollar loss.
Steven Crowder
No, no, no, no. A 10 trillion dollar increase in market cap. Right? Yeah, yeah. Hold on, let me make sure I have this. Seven different companies, seven different companies, 10 trillion dollar increase in market cap. I want to make sure that I have that correct. That that is really scary when you understand that people could potentially be colluding.
Unknown Speaker
Right, exactly. And there's another reason that people think maybe Deep Seat is not or Deep Seek is not telling the truth. Huawei came out at one point and said, I think last year they lied about developing their own chips that were in Taiwan and turns out they just used the Taiwan chips.
Steven Crowder
Yes.
Unknown Speaker
So this is something that's happened before. This is like kind of Corporate espionage, essentially, yes.
Steven Crowder
And there's another reason to suspect that they're lying. Because they're Chinese.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, that's kind of a thing they do.
Steven Crowder
It's kind of a thing they do as it relates to international trade. Let's see if this is true. So.
Unknown Speaker
It'S a long dong again.
Steven Crowder
What could this. Is it just me or hearing people go nuts out there hammering, hey, Johnny boy, make sure that if Joe Lewis has to go to the bathroom, he doesn't have an accent. He's running. Be a little bit sick.
Unknown Speaker
A little bit.
Steven Crowder
If Deepsea here is telling the truth, it means that suppliers of chips and energy just became a whole lot less valuable overnight. Overnight. And I know, look, people separate themselves from the stock market quite a bit. And I do believe that income, obviously in cash is king for most of you. But if you have 401ks, if you have investment portfolios, this does have an impact not only on you, but the economy at large. So to give you an idea, at Nvidia, their market cap dropped by $600 billion yesterday. Yesterday. In addition, natural gas pipelines, power plants, coal, uranium shares. They all fell. Yeah, they all fell. And if Deep Seek is lying, it means that United States export controls are failing and it means that the markets are responding to a lie. And that's a really, really scary thought, isn't it? Yeah.
Unknown Speaker
Well, they can manipulate the markets and so it's not corporate espionage necessarily like subterfuge. I don't know what it is, but it's lying to the public, basically knowing that it's going to tank these companies.
Steven Crowder
Yep.
Unknown Speaker
And maybe give you a bit of an advantage, at least perceived advantage to the world.
Steven Crowder
And I think, look, the reason this is pretty important is because in my lifetime, I was always told, comment below. If you remember this, everyone before Donald Trump would talk about how the next great superpower is going to be China. Donald Trump, he was the first president to ever point out that they were paper tiger saying, we can actually handle this, we can actually sort of silo them. We can make sure that they are not able to inflict the. It seemed like it was inevitable before Donald Trump. He was the first person to point out the threat that is China. And in this case, whoever wins in this AI battle between the usa, China, they're gonna have a huge advantage as it relates to military power, controlling information, economic growth. Really at that point, the only question is how much should it all cost? Hey Firestein, I found your fortune cookie. Lucky number on back is 38. No way. That's the age you will die.
Unknown Speaker
What?
Steven Crowder
That's like die very young.
Unknown Speaker
Oh, that's like three years from now.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, that's. Running diagnostic on people in studio. Crowder. Cortisol is high stress marker. High sounds right. Cardiovascular system overloading. Tim, are you messing with us? Is this you doing this right now?
Unknown Speaker
No, no, not at all.
This got to be Tim.
Steven Crowder
They call you two man Tim. Is that because of what's in your nightstand?
Unknown Speaker
It's nothing in my nightstand.
Steven Crowder
That's your two noise in your ass.
Unknown Speaker
Oh, wow.
All right, come on. That's inappropriate.
Steven Crowder
Gerald. You'll have aids.
Unknown Speaker
Pull the plug, guys.
Oh, man.
Steven Crowder
They have no stool. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Unknown Speaker
At least it's a little accurate. Wow. Know. Obnoxious.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, I don't want to here. I don't know. Sort of getting away from the markets in international law. I just don't like his tone.
Unknown Speaker
No, he's kind of mean. A little invasive, too.
Steven Crowder
I think Deep Seek AI has a lot of growing up to do.
Unknown Speaker
How did he get in your bedroom, Tim?
I. Well, I did download the app the other night, so.
Steven Crowder
And by the way, you guys should download the Rumble app. Download the Rumble app. If you are subscribed here, it's the best way to keep in touch. It only notifies you if we are live because Rumble owns live. Let's go to the. No closing statement yet from Jim Acosta.
Unknown Speaker
Not yet. Nope. All right, he's still. He's still rolling.
Steven Crowder
Let's go to the federal income tax. All right, let me ask you this, because, you know, you had the libertarians for a long time, they would always yell like, in, you know, income tax is theft. And I understand, and I. I agree, but you got to bring quite a bit more to the table than that. And you've heard things like the flat tax. You've heard of the fair tax. Right. There were different approaches, but certainly there have been proposed solutions in the face of this. What I would argue historically is a radical progressive tax. And there's a reason that we have a radical progressive tax. And that, of course, comes from the left, and it really goes back to, I mean, something that Karl Marx supported. So I want to be really clear about the fact that historically, we'll get into the history. We haven't always had an income tax, and where we are right now is actually more unprecedented than what we had historically. Like, this is actually sort of the outlier right now.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
So practically, you think we can get rid of it for a period of time? I thought no, politically, you're not going to necessarily be doing that. And here's something I really want to point out. This conversation has been going on for a long time. This proposal, talking about this publicly is the kind of proposal that could only happen in a Trump second term. A guy who does not care as to what people think of him, who does not care that most people would say, hey, this is political suicide. Let me tell you why. 40% of US households, they don't pay any federal income tax. So for anyone to go out and say, hey, maybe we should do a federal income, we should do away with federal income tax. They're not going to gain votes. They really only stand to lose quite a few votes. To be clear, at least 40% almost guaranteed. That means that he thinks it's the right thing to do. Yes, Noodles, I just want to correct.
Unknown Speaker
It was only 40% pay income tax.
Steven Crowder
Only 40% pay federal income tax.
Unknown Speaker
People pay no federal income tax.
Steven Crowder
No, no. Only 40. It's only 40% pay no federal income tax.
Unknown Speaker
How dare you?
Steven Crowder
Yeah, and it used to be 47. Remember, that was Mitt Romney's political suicide. To give an idea in his, in his campaigning, remember mitt Romney said 47%. Well, how are you going to, how are you going to talk to 47% of Americans who pay no federal income tax? Everyone said, I can't believe that he said this. It was a huge blunder. That number's now 40%. And Donald Trump is saying, not in a secret video on the campaign trail, he's saying publicly, you know what? Maybe it's time to do away with the federal income tax. And he's making the case for it again. You may not like it, but I don't know that I ever thought we'd see a president say this in our lifetime.
Unknown Speaker
It's time for the United States to return to the system that made us richer and more powerful than ever before. Do you know the United States in 1870-1913, all tariffs, and that was the richest period in the history of the United States, relatively speaking. Teddy Roosevelt was a beneficiary because when McKinley was killed, he took over this vast sum of money and he did all of those national parks and, and all of the other things. And I'm not knocking him, but he was given a vast amount of money and that was all made through tariffs. As a. We had no income tax. The income tax came in in 1913. As I said in my speech last week, instead of taxing our citizens to enrich foreign nations, we should be tariffing and taxing foreign nations to enrich our citizens. Does that make sense? Right.
Steven Crowder
Well, it does make sense, and you'll have all the experts saying that it's not possible. So we're going to go through the case here historically and pragmatically, if it's something we can do today. What is the federal income tax? How can we get rid of it? What are you doing, Josh?
Unknown Speaker
Shredding my W2. Trump said there's no income tax.
Steven Crowder
Okay, but that's not actually. That's not how it works, Josh.
Unknown Speaker
Well, I have yours, too.
Don't worry.
Steven Crowder
No, that's not. Can you just stop? We're in the middle of a live show.
Unknown Speaker
Yep.
Steven Crowder
And the no tax thing is. So it's not a thing.
Unknown Speaker
Not yet.
Steven Crowder
You still have to.
Unknown Speaker
More.
Steven Crowder
You still have to file that. You still have to file your taxes.
Unknown Speaker
Okay.
Steven Crowder
All right.
Unknown Speaker
It's still going.
Steven Crowder
Yeah. Well, that's not a great approach. That's why you should get Tax Network usa.
Unknown Speaker
Oh, do you think they. Do you think they can help me with the shredding?
Steven Crowder
No, I don't think they can help you with that. I think that one.
Unknown Speaker
I have a lot of them.
Steven Crowder
They may not work for you, but they'll work for people watching here who are, you know, basically responsible. Go to tnusa.com Crowder or call 1-800-958-1000. That's 1-800-958- 1000. And they'll actually help you out because no one likes dealing with taxes and the irs. Just do it.
Unknown Speaker
All right, well, no problem, dawg. I'll finish this later.
Steven Crowder
No, you will not. You can also go to tnusa.com Crowder History of the income tax. And I don't, by the way, let's not have a budget for so many shredders, Gerald.
Unknown Speaker
Why?
This is my personal shredder. I brought it from home.
That's not true.
Steven Crowder
Well, all right.
Unknown Speaker
Finnegan keeps breaking them.
Steven Crowder
Let's.
Unknown Speaker
That is true. Actually, he's putting cigarettes in them. That's not where they go, Finnegan.
Well, where else do they go?
Steven Crowder
So you have a lot of people out there who think, well, we've always had the federal income tax, and we also are dealing with the problem here of mob rule, which is the problem with a pure democracy. Right. Where 40% of people who don't pay any federal income tax, they're always typically going to vote for the 60% to pay more. Yes. So. So that's a problem. It doesn't mean that it's right. For example, you can have enough people who vote to keep slavery because they have slaves. It doesn't mean that it's right. And I would also argue that taking money from someone else, especially income that they have worked to earn, that can arguably be in the form of indentured servitude. So let's go to this. People start off with, well, this is just. Come on, you'd be changing history, precedent. Actually, no. So before the Civil War, we didn't have federal income tax. The federal government, they basically relied on what Donald Trump just talked about, tariffs, excise taxes for most of their revenue. Let me give you a brief history lesson here. In 1861, the first federal income tax came to be to fund the Civil War, government started the first federal income tax. It was supposed to be a temporary measure and the rate was like 3% on incomes, approximately. That's what we were looking at back then. Okay. Then in 1872, it was repealed. This is what I believe Donald Trump was referring to there. In 1895, the Supreme Court struck down the federal income tax as unconstitutional. The case we have the reference there is Pollock vs Farmer Loan and Trust Company. Again, all references available link in the description. Just giving you the ins and outs of history. So if someone tells you, I want you to be prepared. Whoa, come on. You're going to say, we do away with income tax, What? For a huge portion of the history of this country, we did not have it. And if you're talking about precedent, the Supreme Court said it is unconstitutional because it was unconstitutional. That happened. Then in 1913, the 16th Amendment was ratified to overcome that Supreme Court decision. So then Congress, they immediately passed the revenue act of 1913, and it basically established a permanent federal income tax. The rates were anywhere from 1 to 7%. So in other words, even when they're going, okay, okay, we're gonna do this to try and bypass and basically render the Supreme Court moot on this point. All right, guys, we're all on board with the federal income tax. And that means they had a meeting. That means they had a meeting. At that point. It was radical. And they proposed a rate. And someone said, I don't know, 8%? And they said no. Are you out of your mind? Sir, we're not animals. We are civilized. Let's say 1 to 7%.
Unknown Speaker
I'll have to find the quote for this. But there was an argument used. They said at some point, maybe they're saying that he would be even possibly 10% of your income, and that is a lie. To get you not to vote for this.
Steven Crowder
Right, Exactly.
Unknown Speaker
It's way higher. I don't know who said it, but it was a quote that I came across. I was like, holy crap.
Steven Crowder
Just like. There was the same argument when, you know, women got the right to vote. And there was some guy like, you know, if you will give them the right to vote, I guarantee you their first act will be to ban liquor. They were like, shut up, Reginald. Then four months later, well, me very first thing now, from 1917 to 1945, of course, the tax rates, income tax rates, they just ballooned to fund world wars. So In World War I, the top marginal tax rate reached about 77%. World War II, the top marginal tax rate reached 94%. Now, I know that's why Bernie Sanders supports 50% income tax. To be fair, very few people were actually paying those rates because of all the loopholes.
Unknown Speaker
Yes, but nobody should pay those rates.
Steven Crowder
Nobody should ever pay those rates.
Unknown Speaker
Should pay those rates.
Steven Crowder
Zero people ever to pay.
Unknown Speaker
You're saying I'll get to keep 6% of my money?
Exactly.
Lucky for you.
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
And the left acts as though you live in an alternate reality. Like you live in the reality where someone continues to work to earn $0.06 on every dollar.
Unknown Speaker
No.
Steven Crowder
So then we saw what people call the first wave of fascism, you know, Ronald Reagan, 1986, the tax reform act, which I know some people, they hear the. They hear the faint sound of Hitler in the distance.
Unknown Speaker
I hear the marching.
Steven Crowder
Yeah. He wanted to simplify the tax code, so he lowered the top rate from 50% to 28%, reduced the number of tax brackets as well, to try and simplify it. This brings us to today, federal income tax rates anywhere from 10 to 37%.
Unknown Speaker
That's wrong. I'm sorry. Federal income tax rates are anywhere between 0 and 37.
Steven Crowder
That's true. That's right.
Unknown Speaker
0 and 30% of people who enjoy the 0% tax bracket right now, 40%.
Steven Crowder
Of people pay 0. The rest of you, 60% pay 10 to 37%. If you live in California with a state that you're basically paying half of every dollar, once you reach that rate.
Unknown Speaker
I only pay 4%. Don't tell.
Steven Crowder
Good for you. And don't tell. You shouldn't say that on air now, because now people know you really will need Tax Network USA all now. So let me give you a number here. The annual federal income tax, it amounts to when you take all of it collected to $2.2 trillion, that is half of all the annual revenue collected by the Federal government, meaning half of all the money, and it's not nearly enough because, of course, we have an incredible deficit, is your income tax. So this brings us to. Okay, do you guys have. Do you guys feel like you have a briefer there? How could we potentially abolish the income tax? Can it be done? The answer is yes. Will it be done? I don't know. But here's an option. And no one ever thinks of this. Stay with me here. It's a twist.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
Spend less. So if the government spends a little.
Unknown Speaker
Bit less, doesn't make sense.
Steven Crowder
Maybe they wouldn't have to take your money at force at gunpoint. Let me give you some examples here. The biggest cost that we have here in government, like Medicare, Medicaid, other health care programs, $1.73 trillion.
Unknown Speaker
Well, that's almost enough right there.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, right there. Social Security, $1.35 trillion. And the benefits, by the way, begin at the age of 65. Let me give you an example as to why. Because life expectancy was far lower when Social Security initially passed. Men were 58 years old. Today they go to 75. Women were 62 years old. Today they go to 8 years old. 80 years old. 8.
Unknown Speaker
Ripe old age, mate.
Steven Crowder
It's just a bunch of New Year's babies. Baby's dying. Now we can either raise the age or change Social Security. The reason that nobody wants to address this is because you have a lot of people. Well, I paid in. Well, sure, but you're being paid out some money that isn't there. At some point, there's going to need to be some kind of reform, especially when you also look at the ratio of retirees per worker. You can go back to a video I did in 2010 talking about that. Let's continue. Military, defense. The budget is $820 billion. Income security is what they call it. That's $775 billion. That would include things like SNAP, housing assistance. Right. Unemployment benefits. So here's the thing. If you actually spent less money and you took less money from people, the argument can be made. Of course, you'll find experts to line up on CNN who will tell you that those experts are wrong, meaning the other experts, not them. You'd have a better economy because there'd be more money to go around and you would have more jobs, which, by the way, could reduce our deficit, naturally, because we could actually. There's actually a point where you could increase revenue by allowing people to keep more of their own money. And at the same time, that revenue isn't being taken by force but being used when you spend your money. Let's go to another key line item. Interest on debt. $658 billion. I know. Crazy idea, potential solution. And it's just me, Mr. Reductive. Stop borrowing so much.
Unknown Speaker
Put the credit card down.
Steven Crowder
The interest on the debt is $658 billion. That's not something that even creates any value. It's basically a punishment.
Unknown Speaker
That's almost as much as the federal government loses defraud every year.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, exactly. That's another thing. Was it 250 to 500 billion dollars.
Unknown Speaker
A year on average, unaccounted for?
Steven Crowder
No idea where it went.
Unknown Speaker
It's a wide range.
Doing it. Sign off now.
Steven Crowder
Okay, pause. We're going to go to option two on the income tax in a second. Jim Acosta, live historical moment.
Unknown Speaker
And after giving all of this some careful consideration and weighing an alternative time slot CNN offered me, I've decided to move on. I am grateful to CNN for the nearly 18 years I've spent here doing the news. People often ask me if the highlight of my career at CNN was at the White House covering Donald Trump. Actually, no. That moment came here when I covered former President Barack Obama's trip to Cuba in 2016 and had the chance to question the dictator there, Raul Castro, about the island's political prisoners. As the son of a Cuban refugee, I took home this it is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant. I have always believed it's the job of the press to hold power to account. I've always tried.
Steven Crowder
Barack Obama literally stood in front of a portrait of Chevrolet. Bring that up. Who was a tyrant?
Unknown Speaker
One final message. I don't give into the lies. Don't give into the fear.
Steven Crowder
That's why you're being fired.
Unknown Speaker
Hold on to the truth and to hope. Even if you have to get out your phone, record that message. I will not give in to the lies. I will not give in to the fear. Post it on your social media media so people can hear from you, too, and tag me. I'll have more to say about my plans in the coming days. But until then, I want to thank all of you for tuning in. It has been an honor to be welcomed into your home for all these years. That's the news.
Steven Crowder
Here's the thing.
Unknown Speaker
Washington, I'm Jim Acosta.
Steven Crowder
You used that word, welcomed. You were not welcomed. You were forced into people's homes. No one ever said, oh, hold on, I gotta get home.
Unknown Speaker
For Acosta, that never happened. Here's the picture. A Barack Obama in front of Che.
Steven Crowder
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker
It's not a poster, Stephen. It's a building.
Steven Crowder
It's a mural.
Unknown Speaker
It's not even.
Steven Crowder
It's a mural.
Unknown Speaker
He accidentally was in front of the building. It's like. Almost like he planned to be there. And by the way, Donald Trump. Love Donald Trump posted this about Jim Acosta on. On his social. On True Social.
Steven Crowder
Yeah, Let me read it. Let me read it. Let me go. He said, wow, really good news. Jim Acosta, one of the worst and most dishonest reporters in journalistic history, folks, a major sleazebag, has been relegated by CNN fake news to the midnight hour Death Valley because of extraordinarily bad ratings and no talent. Word is that he wants to quit, and that would be even better. Jim is a major loser who will fail no matter where he ends up. Good luck, Jim.
Unknown Speaker
Jim is a major loser. He's gonna fail no matter where he ends up. Good luck, Jim.
Steven Crowder
How much you want to bet he tries to start a podcast and ends up like Don Lemon?
Unknown Speaker
Oh, yeah, of course.
Steven Crowder
This is what I've always.
Unknown Speaker
It's gonna be called Almost Clooney.
Steven Crowder
Yes. Yes. This is why I always welcome. It's funny, right? You see all these actors and celebrities, they have podcasts, and some of them will get a viewership or re. Readership, a listenership for, you know, a few weeks, and then people realize they're just not that interesting. Like, people sort of realize, oh, wait a second. When they're not on corporate news with a prompter, they don't really have a lot of opinions by themselves. Jim Acosta is going to try, and he's going to be doing the cinnamon challenge on TikTok or he's going to be planking, doing everything just a little bit late.
Unknown Speaker
Welcome back to Accosted with Jim.
Steven Crowder
Yes.
Unknown Speaker
Can we hire him to do that?
We've tried to hire these people before. They just don't return our call. I think he's gonna go after. He's gonna be going to MSNBC, please.
Steven Crowder
Yes, exactly. I did 18 years and Rachel Maddow be like, we'll change a haircut. Only one of us can support that.
Unknown Speaker
Oh, come on. She dyes it black.
Steven Crowder
I will not give into the. This is what they do. I will not give into the fear. You. Jim Acosta. You said Russia.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
You said January 6th. You said Hitler and tyrant. You're the one who foments fear and hatred, whether it's Summer of Love, whether it's Stop. Asian Hate until you found out who was Committing it. Whether it was Black Lives Matter, whether it's hands up, don't shoot where hands weren't up. He was beating a cop. That's the basis of all this. Whether it was St. George. Floyd, you were the one who sowed division and hatred in this country. And the reason that people like him are being fired and the reason they hate it, they can't stand it, is because the majority of Americans fundamentally disagree with him now, including, by the way, Hispanic voters, especially Hispanic men. He didn't see it coming. This is the man who is guilty of everything. He attempts to accuse you voters like you and Donald Trump of being.
Unknown Speaker
Exactly. He said, don't give in to the lies. Like you were fired because you cost CNN millions of dollars because of your lying.
Steven Crowder
Yes.
Unknown Speaker
Don't give into the life. That's like a pedophile saying, hey, don't talk to strangers.
Steven Crowder
Yes, exactly. What? Don't take candy.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
Look both ways. Yeah. Well, look, Jim Acosta. All right. Hey. I hope he straightens up and flies right.
Unknown Speaker
He won't.
No.
Steven Crowder
Also, I know that he says he just said he was a son of Cuban American immigrants.
Unknown Speaker
I'm surprised.
Steven Crowder
In which case, I guarantee you, your parents are ashamed of you because they.
Unknown Speaker
Know what an actual dictator looks like.
Steven Crowder
Yes, they do.
Unknown Speaker
Wearing in those conditions.
Steven Crowder
They know what a dictator looks like because. Because if they're here, they likely fled. You know the one on that mural, the one Barack Obama stood in front of with a hand over his heart, the one that rage against the machine, puts on their shirt, you know, the guy who killed without trial and bragged about it before the un Whether it was black, whether it was handicapped, whether it was gay. Right, that Che Guevara, that guy. Yeah. Your parents fled him only to see you in that country with the man you so admire standing up in front of a mural. Donald Trump decided to put those sanctions back on Cuba because we don't play ball with tyrants and dictators. But I know, I know now, Donald Trump is the one who's fermenting fear. Yes.
Unknown Speaker
Noodles they sent in, apparently they go step there, too.
Steven Crowder
Yes.
Unknown Speaker
That goes well.
There you go.
Steven Crowder
And Barack Obama stood at attention. He, like, how about you show a little bit of disrespect? How about you? Now, now, now, look, I get it. You put me in front of Che Guevara. But now when you're goose stepping, I'm just gonna. I gotta take a lean. Something to let people know I don't support this. But he did and you did because you are communist. Sympathizers. McCarthy was right.
Unknown Speaker
Okay, Remember when Castro was deporting Americans because they all wanted to go to Cuba?
Steven Crowder
Nope, nope, no, no.
Unknown Speaker
I don't think they're exactly the same.
Steven Crowder
At least it means someone at CNN is getting things right. But Jim Acosta never will.
Unknown Speaker
They're trying to get some stuff right.
Steven Crowder
People are so self important, they never want to look at themselves as potentially the problem.
Unknown Speaker
No, maybe he will not change.
Steven Crowder
You would think, you would think after this that they might go, wait, hold on a second. We had. None of us called it right as it related to Donald Trump 2016. And boy, were we wrong in this last election. Popular vote. I mean, it was basically a complete clean sweep. And whoa, Hispanic voters, they're supporting deportations. Whoa, whoa. We really thought the hatred that we were fermenting was working.
Unknown Speaker
They're too deep into this. This is exactly what I'm talking about right now. There's a program maybe talk about this in Mud Club a little bit. But federal grants are being paused and like this could affect everybody. Kids won't be able to have, you know, food and parents won't be able to go to the store with snap. If you read the order specifically and we'll get into some details on it. It said he President Trump has issued these executive orders targeting these areas. If one of your areas is affected by this, then it's paused upon until we review it. You have to review these and make sure that it doesn't go against the executive orders.
Steven Crowder
Right.
Unknown Speaker
And what the media is running with right now, CNN has learned zero lessons. Lessons, deportation stuff. Making it seem like, oh my gosh, we're deporting just random US Citizens that happen to be caught up in these sweeps. And now this Donald Trump is pausing off federally, people won't be able to eat. That's what you're hearing.
Steven Crowder
I know.
Unknown Speaker
Instead of getting into the details of this story. So anyway, I'm sorry, they just, they don't learn lessons.
Steven Crowder
Okay.
Unknown Speaker
At all. Let's go back to the. Yes, let's do that.
Steven Crowder
I guess it's probably cut for a clip later on. So we'll, we'll cut out the Jim.
Unknown Speaker
Acosta party and my party.
Steven Crowder
I'm glad you guys are alive. All right, so option number one was to perhaps reduce spending. Okay.
Unknown Speaker
Radical.
Steven Crowder
Here's another. Here's option number two. Okay. Find different ways other than stealing money to generate revenue.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Steven Crowder
Yeah. I'm a forward thinker. So, like, you know, people have always complained about this. The VAT tax, that's a VAT tax. That's a value added tax. Yes. So a value added tax is a tax that's assessed on the value being added to a product at different stages of production. Basically, it means a consumption tax. Basically means that if you pay no income tax, you'll end up paying some tax when you purchase goods. Right. When you consume products, goods or services. In that way, you have more choice over the amount of taxes that you pay. And if you're, for example, saving, it gives you the choice to save even more because it's not being taken out automatically. Now, I know you have people on the left will say, actually a VAT tax disproportionately harms the poorest among us because, you know, they're basically only purchasing the daily consumables, the necessities, whereas wealthy people, you know, they have some luxury purchases, but it disproportionately affects those who are poor because it's a higher percentage of their income. Okay. I would tell you that the income tax disproportionately affects the middle class and by the way, lower middle class, middle class, upper middle class, all the way through the wealthy. Because if they pay federal income tax, they're also still paying some kind of a sales tax. And 40% of Americans don't pay anything. It doesn't work. I don't care what communists or socialists tell you. It is not fair for a family making $60,000 a year to pay thousands of dollars in taxes and someone who doesn't work or contribute paying nothing while receiving benefits at the cost of said family. We often act like it's just Jeff Bezos and someone working in the factory. Well, newsflash. The person working in the factory is paying income tax. But there are a lot of people in this country who don't pay any income tax. And it's not Bezos, it's you. Hey, let me ask you this. Do you pay income tax if you're out of college? You're watching this, I bet you pay income tax, you know, 40%. In other words, go into a store, look around. Almost half of those people don't go through the raping you have to endure every year of income tax. Yeah, but it's always a class warfare. So yeah, a consumption based tax would allow you to have more control and choice over your own finances. So you replace the income tax with a federal sales tax on some goods that currently doesn't necessarily maybe exist. It could, could theoretically be done. George is a lawyer who was talking about IT under Article 1, Section 8 of the United States Constitution, which is also, if you read that, consumption based. Something else you could do. You could lease more federal lands for energy. Energy companies pay the federal government to drill for resources. Right. You could charge them. You could work within those taxes. If you want to talk about people who can spare it while not hurting American worker, American middle class, even small American business owners. Oil, coal, natural gas, renewables. Of course, we get to the idea of tariffs. Again, this is about how could you replace the income tax. Trillions of dollars can be cut if we reduce spending. That's the thing no one wants to talk about. And there are other ways to increase revenue. You could have tariffs. This is what we did before. That's what Donald Trump was referring to. This is really, it's more like a throwback when he talks about tariffs. It's not new. It's a throwback, very old. You can use tariffs as an incentive to get other countries to buy more of our goods. Hey, while people work to create those goods, we could produce more goods. Right? You could also. Well, actually, I think we have a clip right now. Donald Trump has actually talked about this. And of course, to the left chagrin.
Unknown Speaker
Many times, the European Union is almost as bad as China. They don't accept your cars, they don't accept your farm products, but they send their farm products here and they send their cars here by the millions and millions. So if China or any other country charges 100 or 200 hundred percent tax, then we will charge them 100 or 200% tax. My message to every business in the world is very simple. Come make your product in America and we will give you among the lowest taxes of any nation on earth. But if you don't make your product in America, which is your prerogative, then very simply you will have to pay a tariff, differing amounts, but a tariff which will direct hundreds of billions of dollars and even trillions of dollars into our treasury.
Steven Crowder
You could use those to punish countries that undercut the United States, our competitiveness in the international stage. You could use it to even the playing field because other countries put tariffs on our goods. You also have to deal with the fact that places like China are basically using de facto slave labor. Basically, you can use this to keep other countries and companies honest and keep ours competitive so you can reduce costs. The left will tell you that you cannot. You can find other ways to generate revenue outside of taking yours by force. The left will tell you that you cannot. But I don't mind their suggestion of renting out Camp David. It looks like A place where I could kick back, relax a bit. So where we are is. Yes, yes. And you can comment below and check the references. We didn't have an income tax. We have precedent where the income tax was seen as unconstitutional. We do not need an income tax. There are ways to do it. Needs to be done carefully. Needs to be a multi pronged approach. And I don't know that we would ever have another opportunity outside of Donald Trump in this second term. Again, he would need to take an ax to this. And I also want to leave you with this. If you wonder, well, hold on a second. If we didn't have income tax and it was ruled unconstitutional and at first it was a really basic rate like 3%, how do we get to this point where we have these complicated brackets and 37% income tax? I've done a lot of videos on this gentleman. Karl Marx believed that a progressive tax system would not only redistribute wealth, but it would destroy. And when we say the bourgeoisie, he would definitely be referring to middle class Americans, just to be clear.
Unknown Speaker
Right. And he said capitalism too.
Steven Crowder
Yes.
Unknown Speaker
It would destroy capitalism because it would create class warfare.
Steven Crowder
Yep. And it was really clearly stated in chapter two of the Communist Manifesto where he said. Said this knit is stupid and lay. Whoa, that's not. I'm sorry, that's a. That's a direct quote.
Unknown Speaker
It is.
Steven Crowder
Karl Marx, like the N word.
Unknown Speaker
He did a lot.
Steven Crowder
Stuck the land hard R. Didn't like the blacks. He said this. An advanced communist nation will require a heavy progressive or graduated income tax. He knew what it would do. He knew the consequences. It was by design. And maybe it's just a coincidence that today's progressive left has fallen for it in the United States hook, line and sinker. So that's where I line up. We're going to be on Rumble Premium. What are you doing, Josh? Seriously?
Unknown Speaker
I told you I had to finish this.
Steven Crowder
No, no shredding. I said shredding.
Unknown Speaker
I got Gerald's W2. I got everyone's W2s.

Host: Steven Crowder
Episode Release Date: January 28, 2025
Podcast Description: Steven Crowder delivers news, entertainment, and political commentary with a boldly unapologetic perspective. The show features guests, rants, sketches, and listener interactions, positioning itself as the most politically incorrect show on the web.
[00:00 - 02:27]
Steven Crowder opens the episode amidst interruptions and ad placements, setting the stage for the day's discussions. He briefly mentions his anticipation for Jim Acosta’s departure from CNN and introduces the primary topics: the advent of DeepSeek AI by China and Donald Trump’s proposal to eliminate the federal income tax.
[02:27 - 25:55]
Crowder delves into the controversial emergence of DeepSeek AI, a new Chinese artificial intelligence company. He posits two scenarios:
Crowder emphasizes the gravity of either outcome, underscoring China’s potential strategic advantage in military, economic, and information sectors. He questions the authenticity of DeepSeek's advancements and highlights concerns about potential violations of U.S. export controls.
Notable Quote:
“If the Chinese are telling the truth, then this will be the first time they have out innovated the United States in the history of modern civilization. And if they are lying, they've pulled the wool over our eyes... China bad.” — Steven Crowder [02:27]
[25:55 - 56:55]
Crowder examines the economic repercussions of DeepSeek's AI deployment. He explains that DeepSeek's claimed low-cost training of their AI ($5.6 million) versus ChatGPT-4’s $100 million suggests either unprecedented efficiency or deceptive reporting. This discrepancy has purportedly led to significant market volatility, including a $600 billion drop in Nvidia’s market cap.
Crowder discusses the potential misalignment with U.S. export controls, suggesting that DeepSeek may have illegally acquired high-powered Nvidia H100 CPUs, thereby gaining an unfair technological edge. He cites skepticism from industry experts and references past instances like Huawei’s deception about chip development to bolster his argument.
Notable Quote:
“Nvidia actually made a statement yesterday and they said the chips DeepSeek were using were fully export compliant.” — Steven Crowder [24:31]
[24:59 - 56:55]
Steven Crowder references a statement by President Donald Trump, highlighting Trump’s view that DeepSeek AI serves as a wake-up call for U.S. industries to refocus on innovation. Trump lauds American scientists and suggests that DeepSeek's entrance into the AI market could either be a catalyst for competitive improvement or a result of market manipulation.
Notable Quote:
“DeepSeek AI from a Chinese company should be a wake up call for our industries that we need to be laser focused on competing to win because we have the greatest scientists in the world.” — President Donald Trump [18:29]
[25:01 - 56:55]
Crowder explores the broader implications of DeepSeek’s AI developments. He argues that if DeepSeek's advancements are genuine, U.S. industries must accelerate their innovation to maintain global competitiveness. Conversely, if DeepSeek is misleading the market, it reveals significant flaws in U.S. export controls and intelligence, potentially leading to economic destabilization.
He connects the situation to broader geopolitical tensions, asserting that victory in the AI race between the U.S. and China would yield substantial advantages in military power, information control, and economic growth.
Notable Quote:
“If DeepSeek is lying, it means that the United States export controls are failing and it means that the markets are responding to a lie. And that's a really, really scary thought.” — Steven Crowder [26:59]
[56:55 - 49:07]
Transitioning from AI to media, Crowder discusses Jim Acosta’s exit from CNN. He portrays Acosta as a symbol of biased journalism, criticizing his reporting style and questioning his credibility. The segment includes contentious exchanges and mockery of Acosta’s professional standing, emphasizing Crowder’s disdain for mainstream media figures.

“Jim Acosta, one of the worst and most dishonest reporters in journalistic history, folks, a major sleazebag...” — Steven Crowder [44:34]
[49:07 - 56:55]
Crowder shifts focus to Donald Trump's audacious proposal to abolish the federal income tax. He argues that eliminating the income tax is feasible by reducing government spending and exploring alternative revenue streams such as tariffs and consumption-based taxes (e.g., VAT). Crowder provides historical context, noting that the U.S. operated without a federal income tax prior to the Civil War and the ratification of the 16th Amendment in 1913.
He outlines the current federal budget allocations, highlighting areas where spending could be curtailed to offset the loss of income tax revenue:
Crowder suggests that by implementing stricter fiscal policies and generating revenue through tariffs and sales taxes, the government could feasibly eliminate the federal income tax without exacerbating the national deficit.
Notable Quote:
“Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich foreign nations, we should be tariffing and taxing foreign nations to enrich our citizens.” — President Donald Trump [31:17]
[56:55 - 59:00]
Providing a historical overview, Crowder recounts the inception of the federal income tax during the Civil War, its repeal in 1872, and the Supreme Court’s 1895 decision declaring it unconstitutional. He credits the 16th Amendment with establishing the permanence of the federal income tax system post-1913. Crowder criticizes the progressive tax system, linking it to Karl Marx’s ideologies and arguing that high marginal tax rates stifle economic growth and individual prosperity.
Notable Quote:
