Podcast Host/Guide
Hello, warriors.
Susie Pettit
This is a different type of episode today. So if this is the first episode of the love your life show for you, you're going to want to get the podcast roadmap to give you the foundational episodes that help with emotional regulation and feeling better in your everyday life. This episode is very different than what I usually do in that I want to lead you through an actual practice that will help you in the moment when you're feeling big emotions. Officially, they say this practice, which is called tapping, helps with everything from general anxiety, daily stress, depression, sleep problems, chronic pain, like, even specific anxieties like the fear of flying, public speaking. And yet, for me, this is the thing, and I've used it for those.

Things and it helps a lot.

Where you say a phrase and tap on nine points of your body. You can tap on either side or both sides of your body at Once, use two to four fingers. Whatever's comfortable with you and your tapping should be gentle. That's it. Follow my voice, Repeat after me with what I say and let your body settle as we move through these points together. So first, let's take a deep breath in and exhale out of your mouth and check in with yourself using one word. What is the main feeling you're feeling? How big is that feeling for you right now? On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being unbelievable, almost unbearable. Rank it 1 to 10. And now your tapping sentence is going to be. Even though I feel. And you fill in the words that you're feeling right now. I love and accept myself. Okay, so playing along with Susie, what I feel often is anxiety. So we're going to the practice phrase for now is going to be, even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. Okay, you can fill in your other word when you want it. Let's go. Taking two or three fingers, you're going to tap on the top of your head. Even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. Tapping and breathing. Now we're going to tap on the far end of the eyebrow close to your nose. Even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. The whole time you're tapping when I'm silent.
Susie Pettit
Now we're going to tap on the.

Side of our eye. Even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. Let's move to tapping underneath our eye. Even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. Tap under our nose. Even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. Tap under our chin. Even though I feel anxious, I love and accept myself. Tap right underneath our collarbone in that holler place. Even though I feel anxious, I still love and accept myself. Tap underneath our arm where our bra strap might be. Even though I feel anxious, I still love and accept myself. Tap on the side of your hand by your pinky. Even though I love, I feel anxious, I still love and accept myself. And I like to round it out back at the top of my head. Even though I feel anxious, I still love and accept myself. Taking a deep breath in, deep breath out. Check in with that feeling. How does it feel now? On a scale of one to ten, that's tapping my warriors. I send you big hugs. Check out the Show Notes for more resources.

In this unique episode, host Susie Pettit departs from her usual format to guide listeners through a hands-on tapping (EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique) practice. Susie specifically designed this session to support listeners during times of overwhelming emotion, offering a tool to use when feelings like anxiety and stress peak, and when other strategies just aren’t working.
“Tell me I’m not alone there. Okay, but this, this is what I pull out and this is what I practice. It takes a very short period of time, and every single time I do it, it helps.” – Susie Pettit [01:11]
[02:19 – 03:07]
She encourages listeners to follow along, using the phrase:
“Even though I feel [your emotion], I love and accept myself.”
Susie leads step-by-step through the tapping points:

“How big is that feeling for you right now? On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being unbelievable, almost unbearable. Rank it 1 to 10.” [02:40]
Susie weaves in affirming language:
“Even though I feel anxious, I still love and accept myself.” [Repeated throughout session]
After the tapping, she prompts:
“Take a deep breath in, deep breath out. Check in with that feeling. How does it feel now? On a scale of one to ten…” [05:53]
[01:24, 01:58, Throughout]
