Hope he's having a great time. I had a great weekend. Did you have a great weekend, Jerry?
Arian Foster
I actually did have a really good weekend, man.
Big Cat
What'd you get up to?
Arian Foster
I watched golf all weekend. It was. It was the US Open, and so I was locked. I was locked in. I watched a little bit of the. I think it was Cape Verde.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
And I think it was playing. I don't know who that was playing, actually.
Mad Dog McKenzie
I don't know.
Arian Foster
But yeah, watched a little bit of that game. Just a little chill in the. In the house. Vibey weekend.
Big Cat
Uruguay.
Arian Foster
Uruguay.
Big Cat
They tied Uruguay. Yes.
Arian Foster
There you go.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big T
Are you.
Arian Foster
Are you. You really. You really locked as you.
Big Cat
I'm locked in. I'm locked in. The US is good. We won again, 2, 2 nothing against Australia. So we won our group.
Arian Foster
Oh, so that's. They are going to. They're going to the. To the bracket.
Big Cat
We're going to the bracket. Knockout round is ours. We've. We've captured our group. Two wins, six goals scored, one goal against. And yeah, we don't know how the rest of the group's going to shake out just yet. We don't know who we're going to be playing in the knockout stage, but it looks like right now Bosnia maybe, but things can change.
Arian Foster
I'm excited, man.
Big Cat
And in the knockout stages, the way that the bracket is looking right now, there's a good chance that we might have two very winnable games in our first two knockout games.
Arian Foster
And who are the projected opponents?
Big Cat
We don't know yet. Right now it's projected to be Bosnia in the first round, possibly Egypt in the second round, possibly Senegal. Senegal would be a tough draw if that was in the next round, but we still have one more round of the tournament to play. Like in terms of the group Stage. Everyone's got one more game, so we're still very much up in the air, but it looks like either Bosnia or Qatar in the first round. Either one of those would be. We should win those games easily.
Arian Foster
Nice, man. It's on the up and up. So outside chances we could actually take this thing.
Big Cat
It's. It's going to be really difficult. What kind of sucks is like, we've got former US Men's national players and the probably the best players to ever, ever put on this jersey that are out there saying it's impossible for us to win the World Cup. Like literally saying that. We've got Tim Howard, he was our goalie. He was. You know, it's tough to like compare goalies to field position players, but he's probably the best player that's ever played U.S. soccer overall. Landon Donovan, probably the best field position player that's ever played U.S. soccer. And the two of them are out there saying, that's impossible for us to win. And yeah, it's, it's really fucking hard because you have to beat. At minimum, you're going to have to beat five of the best teams in the world back to back to back to back to back to win. And we've never proven that we can do that. In fact, we haven't. We've never won back to back games in the World cup since 1930 until now. So, yeah, it's an uphill climb, but I think it kind of sucks to hear the OG saying that when you've got the guys on the team right now that grew up watching those guys and they're out there playing their dicks off and they're, they're putting up better results than those guys ever did. And now you've got, you know, your heroes putting doubt into your mind, saying that you can't do it. Just, just man up for me one time, Donovan. Just be like, yeah, they can. You know what? They can beat anybody because they can't. The way that they're playing right now, they could beat any team in the world. It's hard to do that time and time again back to back to back. That's what's going to be really difficult, especially when you run into teams whose, whose bench is probably just as talented as our starters. So that's going to be hard. That's going to be hard with our lack of depth. But, um, so are they.
Arian Foster
Are they saying, is this like, oh, you know how old heads getting a dick? My, my arrow is better type shit? Is it some of that or Are they just being honest? You feel like, nah, now you probably can't. I can't do it.
Big Cat
I don't think they're saying their error was better because I think they acknowledge that this team right now is doing stuff that they never did. But I think there might be like 20%, slight amounts of. I don't want to say jealousy maybe, but, like, when they, when they competed, they knew how hard it was for them to beat some of these great teams and how the odds were so high, stacked against them. And so I think they're projecting that a little bit onto this new team, saying that, like, hey, we, you know, is all we could do to beat Mexico once a year. And every time we played a really, really good team, they beat us, which isn't even true because we used to tie England. We've. We beat Spain one time. So it's like, it is possible for us to win this tournament. Yes. And if you look at the. If you look at the futures right now, I'm pulling up.
Arian Foster
It doesn't sound like it.
Big Cat
It's super hard. It's gonna be very, very hard. It's very unlikely, Extremely unlikely that we win.
Arian Foster
Is this. Is this like a. A knockout? How is. Around Robin how they do this?
Big Cat
So we're doing round robin right now. We've got one more game in the round robin, and this last game doesn't really mean anything for us because we already won that group, so we've advanced. We're going to be the number one seed coming out of our group, but it will mean something to other teams. And the team that we're playing against, Turkey, it's not really going to mean that much to them either because they're already eliminated, so they're not advancing. So they'll probably be just playing for pride, trying to get. Trying to go home with a point. But I'm looking at the odds right now, and, yeah, I mean, the odds say that it is possible, but unlikely that we do it. So we are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. We are 10th. We are the 10th favorite right now to win the World Cup.
Arian Foster
I love that you're excited, man.
Big Cat
It's fun.
Big T
I wish.
Arian Foster
I wish I could get into it like you, but I'm trying. I didn't see the second game, but I'm trying. It is like the appeal is growing on me for sure.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
And I think as if we keep advancing, I'm gonna get more and more locked in.
Big Cat
Yeah, I mean, we should. We should keep advancing. There's also A guy on our team that you might be interested. You remember Antonio Freeman?
Arian Foster
Antonio the receiver.
Big Cat
Yeah. From the Packers.
Arian Foster
Okay. Yeah.
Big Cat
So his son is on the World cup team.
Big T
Word.
Big Cat
Yeah. And he scored a goal.
Arian Foster
Look at that.
Big Cat
Yeah, he had a nice, nice goal.
Big T
Yeah.
Arian Foster
So. So I saw a tweet that said a black man scoring a. A black man scoring the first World cup goal named Freeman on Juneteenth.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yes.
Big Cat
That's pretty good. And I think we're going to. I. I don't know.
Arian Foster
I'm.
Big Cat
I'm remaining very, very optimistic about. About our team's ability because I do think what we've. We got a really good coach. That's the difference is. Our coach now is this Argentinian dude. He wears fishing shirts on the sidelines. He's. He's like, kind of a football genius. He always flames out in his club jobs overseas. So the best analogy I can give you is because he. He works as players really hard, and that's what we're doing is like, the US has always had great athletes that play soccer. It's just about, you know, putting it all together. What he's done is he plays a style of soccer that is. It's kind of like full court press all the time. So when you turn over the ball, when the other team gets it, everybody immediately starts to go after the ball and to defend, immediately to try to get a turnover back. The second we lose it in the first, like, five seconds, that's when it's more likely that you can win that ball back. So we play like. The best analogy would be like a full court press, which requires aggressive. Yeah. And that requires a ton of running, a ton of really good athleticism, which we have in the United States. So he's taken that tactic and installed it in us. You just have to get everybody on the team to, like, really want to defend. You can't have guys on your team, even at the forward position, that are just kind of like lazy Ronaldo type guys that watch the ball get turned over and then they just kind of sulk and they walk away because they're pissed off. So he's done that. Sometimes that doesn't really work at the club level because you've got a way longer season. But we just need these guys to commit to it for eight games. And if they can do that, then they can be a good team. The best analogy I can give you is like, Coach Tibbs.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Right.
Big Cat
He's a really good basketball coach. Very good basketball coach. But the knock against him is he just he runs his guys way too hard, and they always flame out late in the season during the playoffs because they're exhausted from a long season. And the way that he, like, runs practices and how he has them play, that's kind of what our coaches do. He's kind of like Coach Tibbs. So it doesn't really work out that well at the. At the club level with a long season, but in like, a little mini. This tournament format, it could be really good.
Arian Foster
Gotcha. Now. How much is. I don't know how. How much X's and O's you know about soccer, because I know zero. So how much is it? Like, you know, a lot of them, they. They do run some set plays, but a lot of. Of just instinct and kind of just like, free form. Like, is how much of. Of soccer at that. At the. At the tournament level in the World cup is. Is that where they don't. I mean, I'm sure they go. They got plays and they have, you know, schemes, but, like, how much of it is just, you know, free run?
Big Cat
I think it's like you always have, like, a concept of what you want to do, and then you build off that because the ball, you know, one touch takes it one yard to the left instead of to the right, and then everything's kind of changed about where. Where everyone's positioned. So you have to be able to, like, improvise. So it's kind of like. It's like jazz. Soccer's like jazz. You know what the. You know what the chord progressions are. But in terms of, like, what notes you want to be hitting, you have to be able to kind of like, think and get to where you want to get in a different way.
Arian Foster
I like that analogy.
Big Cat
Like jazz music.
Arian Foster
Yeah. Soccer's like jazz.
Big Cat
It is.
Arian Foster
I know more about jazz than soccer. So it. That hit.
Big Cat
Yeah, there. There are some X's and O's and some stuff that we are doing differently that we've never done before. That's fun to watch. But we. The cool thing about this game was we did it without our best player.
Arian Foster
Who's our best player?
Big Cat
Christian Pulisic. So he was out with a calf injury. He's might. He might not play against Turkey either, because we don't need him to play against Turkey. And then so that would mean that he would have, like, three full weeks of. Of rest before he gets back out there. And so we've scored four goals, or we scored, sorry, six goals. Four in the first game, two in the second, and we scored three goals. Without Christian Pulitzer. So it like, pretty much evened out. He was only in for one half of one game, but he was dominant when he was in that one half of that one game. And our offense kind of like builds around him, but it's. It's cool to see that we were able to dominate without even having him out there.
Arian Foster
Feels like we got a little momentum, too. Like, I keep hearing about it, like, momentum can be a big thing in these kind of things, where it's like, they might not have the talent like the rest of the world has, but it feels like if they start to believe, yeah, could change.
Big Cat
I think that's what it is, is they do. I think they do believe in, which is why it's a bummer to hear like, the goats of the game be like, they have zero chance. Impossible for them to do it.
Arian Foster
They can take that two ways. Damn, they don't believe in us. Or you know what?
Big Cat
Fuck it, let's show them true.
Arian Foster
So ever since we started talking about soccer, my fee has started bringing up this Ronaldo vs Messi thing. And I know we talked about it a little bit is. And I don't know if I'm falling into the propaganda arm of Messi, but there's a lot of Ronaldo slander. And I just. I don't know how to fact check it. I don't know that I care that much to really look into it. So I'm asking somebody who's, you know, watched soccer a little bit, is Ronaldo really, like, self absorbed, like, to the point where he. He'll sabotage his own teammates to get a goal?
Mad Dog McKenzie
Is.
Arian Foster
Is that real? Is that a real thing or am I falling? Is this the propaganda?
Big Cat
Yeah, it's a little bit of both. I think it's like a perfect storm where Ronaldo is like that. He's always been like that. And so when things don't go his way, it's very easy to dig up the lowlights of his career and be like, this guy's a clown.
Arian Foster
Like, that's not a lowlight. That's. That's like a whole goofy, like, you stopping. I've seen. And like I said, I don't know enough about the game, but the, the insinuation is he's stopping other players from scoring or he'll like, they'll score and he'll call an offsides or he'll like, signal for the offsides.
Big Cat
You saw that now, we didn't score.
Arian Foster
We was offside.
Big Cat
Like, what? I saw that one, too. What? That was his teammates Scored an incredible goal, like a bicycle kick goal. And it was the. The linesman on the sideline raised his flag and said it was offsides. But that was Ronaldo's first reaction. Like, immediately the ball goes in, and he just raises his hands and he points at the lines, but he's like, he called you off sides. That doesn't count. Like, that's. That's a shitty thing. Especially after, like, an amazing goal that his teammate. That was his first, like, primary reaction to what happened.
Arian Foster
That.
Big Cat
That part is definitely true. He has done things like.
Arian Foster
That's weirdo.
Big Cat
Like, he'll. He'll really extend and maybe get his head a little bit on a cross. But a lot of people say that it didn't touch him at all. And then he'll raise his hand up after it goes in to be like, yep, that touched my hair. That's my goal.
Arian Foster
I seen that.
Big Cat
He'll sprint to the goal line to try to get a foot onto a ball that's on its way in anyways.
Arian Foster
Yeah, I see. I seen a bunch of those. And I see one where one of his teammates make a dope pass, and he thought it was going to him, but a dude. Another one of his teammates, kind of. It was for him. He kicked it in. Everybody celebrating, and he's pissed off. He kicks the ball into the goal because he didn't score anything. He's visibly mad. Like, that. That kind of shit is wild to me.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Like. Especially, like, I could understand, because I've seen. I've seen Cats where it's like, you know, in the NFL, where if a. If a guy's doing good, like, your spot gets took. And I understand that emotion, right? Where it's like, you could. You could be happy for the team, but you're like, damn, like, you know, I'm probably gonna get cut or, you know, I lost my job. That makes sense. That makes sense. But he's worth a billion dollars. You know what I'm saying? He's, like, one of the best ever. Like, that's kind of goofy, fam.
Big Cat
Yep. And he is one of the best ever. He's really, really good. But at this stage in his career when he. He's lost, like, a little bit of a step, then him being just, like, a egotistical maniac, it jumps out at you, and it does make you look.
Guest or Producer
It.
Big Cat
It makes Messi seem way cooler.
Arian Foster
Damn. Yeah. Hate to see it.
Big Cat
I've always been. I've always been Team Messi. Just a little guy, 5 foot 6, 5 foot 7.
Arian Foster
Yeah, he's small, lady.
Big Cat
Yeah. And Ronaldo is like this big. Like you would say that he's kind of the LeBron James of soccer because he's tall, he's fast, he's strong. I want to say 6, 2, 6, 3, which is pretty tall for a soccer player.
Arian Foster
I saw this other argument as guys like he was arguing against the fact that American athletes don't pay attention to soccer, but it's because they can't play it and they couldn't play. He's like, if you look at somebody like Barry Sanders, he's not going to hold a candle to like a Messi. And I'm like, what are you talking about?
Big Cat
Yeah, Barry would have figured it out.
Arian Foster
That's, that's that I don't understand his thinking. Like American athletes don't really care about soccer like that. We didn't grow up thinking about it. But if that was our goal, I believe America would have dominated that shit. If that was, if that was our main sport.
Big Cat
Yeah, if it was. If it was part of the culture of America. If so. Our coach made a really good point because there's a, there's a lot of stuff that's wrong with soccer in America and it has, it's been very wrong for a long time. Like the way that youth leagues are run where you have to pay $5,000, sometimes more to get your kid onto a good team, to be able to have good coaching, to be able to travel and play other good teams. Like that's, it's ridiculous that it costs that much money to have kids play soccer when it, it's a sport that requires a ball and that's it. But our coach made a really good point, which is like to see individual stars like Messi, it's all about just like I think he said, like the player's relationship with the ball since they've been a child. So like Messi grew up with a ball and it's like, okay, he's, he's dribbling the ball around his house. His older brother takes the ball. How does he get the ball back? He's in the backyard and he sees his dad trying to take the ball from. How does he get away from his dad? And it's like the small things that, like when that's a part of your life over the course of the first, like 15 years non stop, you have a ball at your feet and you're thinking about it and you're learning like how to get people off balance and all that stuff, it become, you become Much better than if you're just an outstanding athlete that's practiced for a few years.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Yeah. That's how we was with hoop, Right?
Big Cat
Exactly. Yeah. Basketball is a. A very similar thing. So, Yeah. I don't know. Everyone's like, oh, this will be the thing that makes soccer take off in America. And it might. But there's also a lot of stuff that's broken about soccer.
Arian Foster
It's like a cultural thing, too. Like, it has to, like, be cool.
Top Step Ad
Yeah.
Arian Foster
And I don't know that soccer can infiltrate the culture like that in America because football is. And basketball is just so inundated with. With the culture. I don't. I don't know. I don't see it. I wish it would, though. Like, soccer's dope.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Soccer's dope.
Arian Foster
I wish I got into it earlier.
Big Cat
Nothing's gonna. Nothing's gonna make it, like, explode immediately. But I'd say that when we had the World cup in 1994, that made that, like, created a generation of soccer fans. And where we have it now, it's probably gonna do the same, especially if we have a better team. And also everyone plays FIFA, so there's that.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
The kids hooked into video.
Arian Foster
I would argue that's probably funner than Madden.
Mad Dog McKenzie
To me.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
FIFA's fun.
Big Cat
So I think. I think I'm going to go out to San Francisco for the game, for the knockout game.
Arian Foster
When is that? When is. When is it?
Big Cat
That's going to be July 1st.
Arian Foster
Yeah, I probably can't make that.
Big Cat
I was. I was talking to somebody over the weekend. They said that there's an outside chance that we might play against England.
Arian Foster
Wow.
Big Cat
On July 4th in Philadelphia.
Guest or Producer
Whoa.
Big Cat
On our 250th anniversary.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Wow.
Big Cat
That's hilarious. But it's not true. The guy would. I was like, I don't think that it's right. And the guy kept telling me, no, it's right. I think he just heard it from someone. He wanted it to be right. Maybe we should move around the schedule a little bit and see if that. We can make that happen.
Arian Foster
Is there. Is there any kind of, like, rivalry between the US and in England? Like, is that a thing?
Big Cat
Not really. Because we always tie them and we win those ties.
Arian Foster
Oh, yeah. I don't know.
Big Cat
No, there's not really. We played in the last World cup and we tied him 00. And then we played him in the 2014 World Cup, I think. Or 2000.
Big T
Yeah.
Big Cat
I think it was 2014, and we tied one.
Arian Foster
How do you tie with penalty shots? At the end. How does that happen?
Big Cat
In the group stage, you don't have penalty shots. So after, after 90 minutes, it's just a tie.
Arian Foster
What if it's a championship?
Outshine Ad
So that's.
Big Cat
So in the group stage, you can have the tie. And then after.
Arian Foster
Sorry, I don't know what a group stage.
Big Cat
What is the group stage? That's the round robin. So we play. You play in a group, and everybody in your group plays each other. And then the top two teams, and in this case sometimes three, advance to the knockout round.
Arian Foster
Sharp. And then so the next. So when the bracket comes, ain't no tides. Yep, Gotcha.
Big Cat
Exactly.
Arian Foster
I'm sharp.
Mad Dog McKenzie
I'm sharp.
Arian Foster
I'm sharp.
Big Cat
Exactly. So, yeah, then we play on Thursday and then after that it starts back up again. But yeah, I, I love the World Cup. It's my favorite tournament in the world.
Arian Foster
How often does it happen?
Big Cat
Every four years.
Arian Foster
Oh, really? It's like the Olympics. Oh, yep.
Big Cat
And then the Women's World cup is also every four years, but it's on the like two year staggered.
Arian Foster
Nice. Okay. Okay. So I'm okay. I didn't know it was that. I thought it was like.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Every year.
Big Cat
No, no, every four years. Which is why. Yeah, it makes you get really into it.
Arian Foster
I gotta, I definitely gotta lock in there.
Big Cat
You grind all year. Early mornings, late nights, fantasy drafts, hustle mode on. But when summer hits, it's time to chill. And Chevy Silverado makes that possible. We're talking towing the boat to the lake, off roading into the woods like a legend and still having room for the squad and all your gear. Inside, Silverado is comfy like a recliner. Outside, built like a linebacker. Chevy Silverado. Work hard, chill harder. Football guy approved. Head to chevy.com to check out more about the Chevy Silverado. What else have you been up to this weekend?
Arian Foster
The, the Love island episodes are getting kind of wild.
Big Cat
So they're every day. Is that right?
Love Island Expert
It's five days a week.
Arian Foster
Yes, every day except for Wednesday and Saturday.
Guest or Producer
But isn't one, doesn't one of those days have after sun?
Arian Foster
Yeah, but I don't watch that. That's.
Love Island Expert
Yeah, it's silly.
Arian Foster
After sun is, is. It's like the gossip, you know? I mean, I mean, if you watch the show, it's about gossip, but it's, it's too, too much into the weeds. I, I, I ain't into it. It's not my thing. But Casa More. I don't know if you know about Casa More, Eric, but Casa More just, just went down I've heard about it.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
It's getting. It's getting a little messy. It's getting a little messy.
Love Island Expert
They go meet other people at a different house and then decide if they want to stay with their partner or not.
Big Cat
And who do they put in the other house?
Love Island Expert
Just other, like, bombshells. New people.
Big Cat
Just like hot people.
Love Island Expert
Yeah.
Lucky One Sweet Tea Ad
Yeah.
Guest or Producer
Isn't that it? Like, is.
Arian Foster
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's basically.
Big Cat
All right. So the. The reality show is you put hot people into a house with other hot people.
Love Island Expert
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Yep. And then.
Big Cat
And then after like a month, you're like, we're going to actually bring you to a different house that has new hot people.
Love Island Expert
Well, so they have. They have new hot people come in, called the Bombshells, randomly and like, into the original villa. And then once it gets to a certain point, they bring a whole new group of people. The couples separate two different houses, and then they can either come back with a new partner or pick to stay with the partner they they're with already. But if they don't agree, they'll know once they're all coming back to the
Big Cat
same house and if that makes sense. Yeah.
Guest or Producer
Temptation Island.
Big Cat
What is the. The success rate of couples that meet on this show?
Love Island Expert
Not high.
Arian Foster
I would say zero.
Guest or Producer
I mean, like, there's a few. This is the UK version, but Tyson Fury and Molly Mae, like, okay. Or is. No, is Tyson Fury the. The bigger guy? Tommy Fury. Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury's little brother.
Love Island Expert
They did break up, though, but now
Guest or Producer
they're back together and had a second kid, so they're.
Love Island Expert
There's a. There's a few couples from the last, like, two US seasons that are still together.
Guest or Producer
Nick, Andrea.
Arian Foster
But.
Love Island Expert
Yeah, no, no.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Shit.
Arian Foster
I didn't even know that they was good.
Guest or Producer
Well, I don't know what they are, but. What's her name? Leah.
Love Island Expert
Leah and Miguel.
Arian Foster
Nice.
Guest or Producer
Yeah.
Arian Foster
A lot higher than I thought then.
Love Island Expert
Yeah.
Guest or Producer
Most of the time it's a. It's a dud.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
I mean, it's. It's basically, you know, young. Young adults jump starting their social media career.
Guest or Producer
Yeah. None of them are there to, like, find love.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Nah.
Arian Foster
And so. But it's. I. I want to do a love island, but like, with adults, you know what I mean? Like, not they're children, but, like, you do like, you know, not golden age Love island, but maybe like, you know, midlife Love Island. I feel like that would be fun
Guest or Producer
to watch Golden Love Island.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah. Because.
Arian Foster
Because you're a little. You've experienced life a little bit more because, like, they've seen each other. They've been there for like, three days. And you're like, I can't believe she's talking to him. I'm like, dog, you just met this
Love Island Expert
and they're like, in love with each other.
Arian Foster
Yeah, I would, I would like to see a little bit more emotional maturity on, on that show, but it's just, it's just toxic TV that I like to watch with my, with my family. Yeah, it's just something we bond over. It's fun.
Big Cat
So there's nobody that's there that, that is complaining because they're like, everyone else is here for the wrong reasons. I'm here to find love.
Arian Foster
No, they all say, they all say that.
Big Cat
Yeah, but nobody is.
Arian Foster
No, I mean, I, I, it would surprise me somebody was genuinely going on Love island to find a connection.
Big Cat
Has there been any, any breakout stars that, like, transcend the show and, and go on to do other things?
Arian Foster
I wouldn't call them a star. I feel like, else would.
Guest or Producer
I feel like Alandria has, has made a, a pretty big name for herself.
Arian Foster
Yeah, I see. That's my thing is I don't ever follow them outside of the Villa. I'm just, I'm a villa guy. Like, outside, it gets, I don't like it. I haven't seen anything. I haven't seen anything. I haven't seen any that has, that has drawn me in, but, you know.
Love Island Expert
Yeah, there's not too many. Like, some of them will be in, like, commercials and stuff after the fact. But they did do a show called beyond the Villa and it followed them after they left. All the couples.
Arian Foster
I'm a Love island guy. Strictly Love island guy.
Love Island Expert
That's a good way to do it.
Big Cat
Beyond the Villa.
Love Island Expert
Beyond the Villa, Yes.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
No, I take a hard stance against that.
Love Island Expert
That's where you draw the line.
Arian Foster
I have standards.
Big Cat
Yeah, there's definitely gonna be like pre game, halftime, post game shows from like, and they get, they get former contestants on there to talk about, like, it's like it's a game.
Arian Foster
Yeah, that, that, I mean, that would be kind of fire. Yeah, some, maybe some all star cast together for.
Love Island Expert
They have done, they do do Love Island All Stars.
Arian Foster
Oh, really?
Love Island Expert
It happened last summer, I think, or recently.
Arian Foster
I haven't seen that one.
Big Cat
Like, who would be the, like the inside the NBA of Love Island? It would be the Charles Barkley.
Mad Dog McKenzie
That,
Arian Foster
that would be fire.
Big Cat
She's terrible.
Arian Foster
There's another one that, that's really dope. I don't know. Are you into, Are you into, like, Any kind of survival shows?
Big Cat
Yeah, I mean, Survivor.
Arian Foster
Yeah, There's. There's this one on Netflix that's really fire. That's a little bit messy as well. But it's a survival show, but with the aspect of, like, reality tv of, like, you can sabotage other people's camps and shit like that. And so it's pretty. It's pretty entertaining. And you can. And there's. I usually watch survival st to, like, you know, say it's. It's dope to see, like, survival skills, making fire, hunting, shit like that. But this one is. It has those aspects, but it's like a game. So, like, you'll have different. Different things that the production will. Like, they'll drop off a case and it has, like, you have to eliminate one player and they all vote or whatever. And it gets.
Big T
It gets.
Outshine Ad
It's.
Arian Foster
It's pretty entertaining, man. I like that one. I'm up on my trash. Trash tv.
Big Cat
I like that. I might have to check it out, but does. It does seem like the people that I know that Love Love island, like, are obsessed with it.
Arian Foster
It's a little, like. It's like a little family, man.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
Aaron, talk to me about the US Open. I know you watched that.
Arian Foster
I did watch that, man. I. I love that. Wyndham Clark won. He has a great story. I was really rooting for my guy. Morikawa was. Was in it to the end. I know struggled the last two days, man. He just couldn't get over the hump. I thoroughly enjoy seeing pros struggle. Like, it's one of my favorite things. Like, I love that shit. When the winner was what he was five, five under 600, something like that. And the rest of the pack was like, even one under, like, they were struggling. But it was one of the tougher courses I've seen on the US Open. I think that one. What's the other one? 2007 Oakmont. Oakmont's a really tough one, but I just. I just love watching pros struggle. And that course was extremely tough. It was playing really tough. I think that's how. I think that's how pro course it should be, though. I think the rough should be really rough. They need to grow it out. I think the greens need to be really slick. I think it. I think they. I don't think they should struggle that much, but I don't think. I don't like watching 32 unders at the end of a tournament. That's just, you know. But anyway, I'll say all that to say I think Scotty is struggling right now, man.
Big Cat
Yeah. What. It's his putting or what?
Arian Foster
I. I think it's. I think it's a little bit of both. I don't think his ball striking has been what made him. Him, and I think his. His putting has taken a step back. Um, I think when he went on that run, when he won, like, nine tournaments or something, I think he was exceptionally good at putting. Um, but just from a naked eye, just judging it without actually looking at the stats, I. It just looks like, to me, he's always, like, tinkering with his grip, and I don't know if that has anything to do with his ball striking not being the same, but it just feels like, to me, yeah, his ball striking has been the same, and he's. I think he's struggling a little bit, I think. Not from the standards of, like, a regular tour pro. Like, if anybody has his career this year, like, he had one win at the beginning of the year and a bunch of top tens, bunch of top fives, but he. He's only won one. I think that's a struggle for him, you know?
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Because he's number one in the world,
Big Cat
so, like, mentally, it's tougher for him to deal with because he's used to such success. Yeah.
Arian Foster
Yeah, probably. I mean, he's. He's literally the number one player in the world. I think Roy just won the mass.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
He won the Masters, right?
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
So he's. He's. He's in his bag as well. He's always in it. Like, he's always in the conversation. Last thing.
Love Island Expert
He's.
Arian Foster
He's always there. It's like something's missing just to get him over the hump over a win. And it's gonna be interesting to see what.
Big T
What.
Arian Foster
What he does in his neck. Because there's two majors left and a bunch of tournaments, but I know that's got to be frustrating for him.
Big Cat
Yeah, The. The crowd really did not want to see him win.
Arian Foster
The crowd? Really? So I. I heard some people saying the crowd was. I didn't. I didn't see anything during it. What. What was the. What's. What's the street saying? The crowd was talking about?
Big Cat
They did not want to see this guy win. They were. They were. They were cheering. Like, at the start of the round, he had a couple shots that rolled off the back of the green, and
Arian Foster
they was like, Scotty. They didn't see Scotty.
Big Cat
No, no. Windham.
Arian Foster
Windham.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Okay.
Big Cat
So they would cheer whenever his ball would, like, land on the green then roll off. It was like. It was pretty obvious that they were rooting against Wyndham Clark and rooting for Scotty. I know that a lot of people don't like him because of, like, at the last U.S. open at Oakmont, he, like. He punched a couple lockers in the locker room.
Arian Foster
Oh, yeah. He up a locker.
Big T
Yeah.
Big Cat
Yeah. And then he didn't apologize for it as much as people would like him to. And then that's. That really. That's really the only thing that he's done that people don't.
Love Island Expert
The video of him going around being, like, at the Masters, when he's like, oh, all these kids running around is a great form of birth control.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Oh, yeah.
Guest or Producer
Yeah.
Love Island Expert
So it's very funny. Everyone's like, well, happy Father's Day to this guy.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
I mean, he ain't wrong.
Love Island Expert
No, I know. It's just so funny that it was Sunday was Father's Day, so, like, that. That was, like, the running joke.
Guest or Producer
I feel like everyone. It turned into the Sam Burns show, too. Everyone wanted to see Sam Burns come back.
Arian Foster
Man, he almost had that.
Guest or Producer
Oh, that last putt. Oh.
Outshine Ad
When he dropped.
Arian Foster
I mean, that. And then. And on 17, Wyndham made a crazy birdie where he shouldn't have made. Like, he. I. I guarantee he was just trying to lag that up there, and he made that birdie, and that birdie ended up winning it.
Mad Dog McKenzie
That's.
Arian Foster
That's crazy. It was. It was close, dog. It was cool. But, I mean, I would. I would. Scotty was the fan favorite. If he wins. Think about it. If he wins on Sunday, it's his first Father's day. He turned 30. It was his birthday.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yep.
Arian Foster
He would have completed the. The Grand Slam.
Big Cat
Yep.
Arian Foster
All in one. That would have been insane story that had been talked about for decades.
Lucky One Sweet Tea Ad
Yeah.
Arian Foster
So, like, I could see why the crowd wanted him to win. That makes sense.
Big Cat
Yeah. They're rooting for the story. And it was also Tom Kim's birthday.
Love Island Expert
Really?
Arian Foster
Yeah. Nobody cared about that, though.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Guest or Producer
I mean, he was in it, too.
Arian Foster
Yeah, he was in it as well.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Love Island Expert
I was rooting for Keith Mitchell.
Arian Foster
What you watching?
Guest or Producer
I watched. I watched a lot of it this weekend.
Big Cat
You're rooting for Keith Mitchell?
Love Island Expert
Yeah, He's. He's friends with Josh Allen. And there was that very funny meme of him going around. Like, he took his hat off, his hair was, like, disheveled, and we were like, maybe he should do that more often. Like, he doesn't really go viral, so maybe that helped And I think he was one of however many players he shot, even every single day of the tournament.
Big Cat
I don't think that's ever been done at a U.S. yeah.
Love Island Expert
I think they said it was like maybe at other tournaments, but he was the first to do at the US Open. I'm like, yeah, that's insane.
Big Cat
And his hair, he reminded me of. Of Ace Ventura when he goes to the insane asylum.
Love Island Expert
Yes. And the memes were like the second day of the bachelor party when you got to get up at 8am to play golf. Very funny.
Big Cat
Yeah, it was. It was a fun tournament. I. I just love. I'm with you, Aaron. I like that it pisses golfers off. Like it makes professional golfers feel like we feel out there 100%. Shinnecock is a. It's a up little place with the wind. Like there were so many times a golfer would hit a shot and then see where it went and they'd be like, what the hell? How did the ball end up there?
Arian Foster
Yeah. So I mean, I was watching Colin or cow it was. And they had rocks in the bunker. That means wild though. And so calling. A few guys had this. But Colin was. Colin was in the bunker and you could tell he hit a shot and he hit a rock and it just flew. It look. It looked like he thinned it.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Like it was like that the whole week. I like that. Kind of. I love that. I seen Scotty. He was in a bunker. It. It goes up and it's a false front and it rolls back in and it just pisses him off. I love that.
Big Cat
Yep. That's how I feel every time I play Scotty.
Arian Foster
100.
Big Cat
Speaking of, when is the video out?
Love Island Expert
July 2nd.
Big Cat
Yeah, no, I did send. I. I sent the clip in question that we discussed. And this is a big tease for the clip. I did send that clip to a professional golfer yesterday for their review and they thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen.
Arian Foster
So that's why.
Big Cat
Just know that it's. I think it's gonna. I don't think it's possible for me to over promise on this clip.
Guest or Producer
I feel so bad for the listeners. We just keep baiting them.
Big Cat
I know, but just trust me. Just. Just wait. Just wait. Next week it'll be all be worth it, right?
Arian Foster
It'll. It'll come.
Big Cat

Top Step Ad
Probably.
Big Cat
Maybe, I don't know. Sorry.
Arian Foster
Memorandum of understanding baitness. Yeah. Is it signed yet?
Big Cat
Yeah, I think the initial one was signed, but basically there's a lot of. I read up on it. There's a lot of language in there that's like we promise to do X, Y and z within, within 60 days or to our best effort. So it's like a handshake deal.
Arian Foster
So no.
Big Cat
So no. And then England's Prime Minister resigned.
Guest or Producer
I was just gonna say that that was kind of big.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
And that guy that, that guy that was talking about Andy Burnham, he is going to be nominated, I think, to be Prime Minister. Prime Minister. So I think it's probably going to be him.
Guest or Producer
Is he the one that isn't even sworn into parliament yet.
Big Cat
Yep.
Guest or Producer
How does that. This may be. I lack international policy on this. How does that possible?
Big Cat
Well, they, they like him. He's a mayor.
Guest or Producer
He's a mayor of a small town. Small town.
Big Cat
They like him a lot. And so they got him to run for parliament so that he could win. So they could then nominate him to be prime minister.
Guest or Producer
So you get nominated to be prime minister there?
Big Cat
I believe so.
Guest or Producer
Well, your party, there's not a election.
Chevy Equinox Ad
Yeah.
Big Cat
Your party nominates you and then the parliament votes on you.
Guest or Producer
And is he part of the labor party?
Big Cat
He is part of labor.
Guest or Producer
And is that their progressive party?
Big Cat
That is. I'd say progressive.
Guest or Producer
Maybe not.
Big Cat
I'd say labor is center left.
Guest or Producer
Okay. Because the Tories are the conservative.
Big T
Right?
Guest or Producer
Is that what they're called?
Big Cat
Yeah, I think so. Yeah.
Guest or Producer
Okay. That's crazy that he's just going to be the prime minister after just being a mayor.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
It's very much like a rom com set up for him, isn't it? It's like small lovable town mayor who like he just, he deals with small town problems every day.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
Like the local drunk. His horse got out again.
Guest or Producer
Yeah.
Big Cat
And then now he's going to be in charge of the entire country.
Guest or Producer
I watched a tick tock yesterday about this, which is, I mean obviously not the most in depth thing about it but talking about how they would have the same GDP as Mississippi.
Big Cat
Yep.
Guest or Producer
And it is very interesting that like how their, their plug and play situation over there with the prime minister just it is so failing. And they were saying how their GDP has not gotten to the same rate it has since they never recovered from 2008.
Arian Foster
Yeah.
Guest or Producer
Like I didn't realize that 2008 hit England as hard as it did big time. In my head that was just an America thing. But I was also nine at the time.
Big Cat
Yeah. Big time. I, I had no idea that their GDP was like it would be 50, what, 51st if they were a U. S. State.
Guest or Producer
Yeah.
Big Cat
England's got a great marketing team I guess.
Big T
Right.
Guest or Producer
Because I. Yeah. But. And then there's like, I know that there's like a housing crisis there, but it's still. Yeah. It's not like I feel Mississippi and England have different reputations in, in the general populace.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
I don't know but I, that I
Guest or Producer
hope that guy rom coms his way into a good like role. Do you just stay prime minister for as long as they want you to?
Big Cat
I think so.
Guest or Producer
Like is there a term like thing I'M not.
Big Cat
I'm not exactly sure about all that. It might just be until your party tells you, like, hey, get the hell out.
Guest or Producer
Interesting. Is that how Canada works, too?
Big Cat
I don't know that I think. I feel like there might be a general election.
Guest or Producer
I feel like Canada has more of an election.
Big Cat
Yeah, it's really kind of. It's sad that we don't know more about.
Guest or Producer
I know.
Big Cat
That is, like, how that whole thing works. And we're like, yeah, we know. We do it the way that makes sense. In the United States, every four years, the electoral College. Yeah, Every four years we get together and we then. What do the electors do outside of electoral college season?
Love Island Expert
It's actually a good question, like, how
Big Cat
do they get a salary when it's not an election year? Because that sounds like a pretty good gig.
Guest or Producer
It might be like a freelance gig.
Big Cat
Yeah, I'm open to being an elector.
Guest or Producer
This says that outside of their brief single day duty to cast official electoral votes for president and vice president, electors are fundamentally active political and civic leaders. So they're usually state lawmakers, party chairs, or local central community members. Okay, so political people.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Right.
Guest or Producer
This one says the qualifications to be an elector. No senator or representative or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States shall be appointed an elector. The 14th Amendment provides that state officials who have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States or given aid and comfort to its enemies are disqualified from serving as electors. So if you're a J6 or you cannot be.
Big Cat
If you're a senator, you cannot be an elector.
Guest or Producer
Senator, rep, or congressperson or January 6th participant.
Arian Foster
Got it.
Guest or Producer
That's what it's. You said that.
Love Island Expert
I thought I was like. Did she say January 6th or is that a term? I don't know yet. Oh, yeah.
Guest or Producer
J6.
Love Island Expert
J6.
Guest or Producer
The political parties in each state choose slates of potential electors sometime before the general election. And then during the general election, the voters in each state select their elector by casting. Oh, so you vote for your elector.
Big Cat
Oh, wait, we vote for our own election.
Guest or Producer
It says during the general election, the voters in each state select their state's electors by casting their ballots. Wait, apparently we vote for them.
Big Cat
No, when we vote for, like, the president.
Guest or Producer
Yeah. During the general election.
Big Cat
Yeah, you're also voting at the same time. Like, they have their slate of, like, I will be so and so electoral.
Guest or Producer
Yeah. Hey, it's Hannah Montoya. Abercrombie's new summer drop is our latest obsession. There's tons of colorful swim flowy dresses, and they just released New linen blend, matching sets. Everything feels so light and breathable. It's perfect for brunch or rooftop happy hours, just like you're on vacation. Shop Abercrombie in the app online and in stores.
Big Cat
We got bad news. If you're French. I know that we have a couple French listeners. You probably already know about this. You're probably not very happy right now, but it's super hot in France right now. It's getting up to about 105 degrees in parts of France and they don't have air conditioning really in a lot of places. And so they've banned outdoor drinking in France.
Arian Foster
Why?
Big Cat
France restricts public alcohol consumption. Because it's gonna be too hot. Yeah, it's gonna be too hot. And people would, would pass out and die. But also they'd have a lot of fun too. It feels like some of their air conditioning. Good point. But this feels like some that France would, would typically put on like the yellow vests and, and shut down traffic. Foreign protest. They love a good protest in France. So music, music festivals have to limit alcohol consumption. And I guess that's also to preserve emergency services for people that deal with heat stroke. So I guess they're flattening the curve. That's what it sounds like they're trying to do.
Guest or Producer
Two weeks. No outdoor drinking will flatten this curve.
Big Cat
Yeah. I didn't realize this, but France had a heat wave in 2003 and 15,000 people died.
Arian Foster
15,000.
Big Cat
15,000 people died. Yeah.
Arian Foster
God damn.
Big Cat
Because it was so hot. And again, the air conditioning. One time I went to. I went to Paris like 15 years ago. Didn't think I would like it. Loved it. Had a great time in Paris, but it was really hot there. And I would just in the afternoon take a shit like a cold shower and then just lay down on the bed in the apartment to try to. Try to cool off a little bit because the apartments were like 83 degrees, 85 degrees.
Arian Foster
I don't understand. Is it, is it an infrastructure thing like they can't sustain air conditioning or is it like it's just usually never that hot? So it's just. They ain't built like that.
Big Cat
I think it's that. Yeah, it's like it's usually not that hot. So people didn't have air conditioning. So the infrastructure that they developed was developed without air conditioning to a point where it can't really handle large amounts of it like we have in the States. I think that's why.
Arian Foster
Yeah, maybe I just don't know enough about air Conditioning. That. That's it. I mean, I just bought me a new ac, like, probably like two years ago.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
The whole unit. Because my house was a little older. It's like 17 years old, so I
Mad Dog McKenzie
needed a new one.
Arian Foster
Like, I sleep with that thing on. It's 68 in my house at all times. I can't. I can't live without that.
Big T
That's.
Arian Foster
That's a deal breaker.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
In, like, in so many parts of the southern United States, like, pretty much the entire southern United States. You have to have it, or else that city wouldn't exist.
Arian Foster
Makes sense. I haven't even thought about life without ac, honestly.
Big Cat
It's why, like, the American south and Southwest, why those cities there got developed.
Arian Foster
Yeah, that.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
We're going to France in the summer.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Dog.
Big Cat
What would you do in Houston if you didn't have air conditioning?
Arian Foster
I wouldn't be in Houston.
Big Cat
No.
Arian Foster
No, Not a shot.
Big Cat
The French also believe that thermal shock is very, very bad for you. And so they try. Thermal shock, meaning, like, when it's hot outside and you walk into a nice
Arian Foster
cold room, they think that's bad for you.
Big Cat
Yep.
Guest or Producer
That's propaganda.
Arian Foster
Yeah, that's kind of.
Big Cat
It's actually one of the best feeling things ever. When you walk into an ice cold, like, I. I'd say that's probably a top 10 feeling.
Arian Foster
One of my things I do. So, like, we play in the summer, play golf on hole 18. I'll turn my car on the. The AC car or the AC in my car. And so that gives it like 15, 20 minutes, like, per hole. They're on par five or not, but I turn it on and start at the hole. We shake up, go straight to the car. Oh, just sitting in there when it's freezing and you just.
Love Island Expert
Hot.
Arian Foster
That's. That's one of the greatest things ever. It is.
Big Cat
I'm reading about the thermal shock right now. They think that it causes cardiac arrest, loss of consciousness, respiratory distress, headaches, nausea. So even when they do have air conditioning, they try not to run it. That they say don't make it like it should be within 15 degrees of what the outdoor temperature is now.
Arian Foster
Is there science behind this or they just. They're going off vibes?
Big Cat
I think just. Just Frenchness behind it. Yeah. Even the news over there, they. They warned that cooling room to more than 15 degrees Fahrenheit below the outside temperature can cause something called thermal shock, resulting in nausea, loss of consciousness, and respiratory arrest. I was in the Wall Street Journal.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Sound like some cat.
Big Cat
That's why everybody over there just. They're all stinky and sweaty in the summertime.
Arian Foster
That's kind of wild.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
All French people stinky.
Big Cat
Well, yeah, the summertime, they are unlike us in America. We're crisp and dry.
Arian Foster
Where did this thing come from? This. This French. We hate French lore in America.
Big Cat
I think it started probably. It really. It really turned up a lot in the 2000s.
Arian Foster
I mean, what was the catalyst?
Big Cat
The Iraq war, when we did that, and then the French were like, no, we don't think we'll go along. Then it was like, we're going to call them freedom fries from now on.
Arian Foster
Okay.
Big Cat
I remember that The French are weak. That whole thing, it's kind of always been a trope, at least for that last, like, 80 years or so. Yeah, because, like, a bunch of U.S. soldiers would hang out overseas with a bunch of British soldiers that hated the French, but, like, technically we're on their side. But also they'd make fun of the French for getting their country taken over in two and a half weeks. And so then it kind of became like, the French can't fight wars.
Arian Foster
Did you like France when you went?
Big Cat
I loved it. Didn't think. Didn't think I was going to like it that much. And it has nothing to do with politics or anything like that. It's just. I didn't. I didn't know that much about the city, and I didn't know why. Why I would end up loving it. And it's just great. It's just a very cool place to be. You will run into some rude people there, but you'll run into rude people in pretty much every city that you go to. But I had. I had a great time in Paris. It's one of my favorite cities in the world. The food's awesome. The. The drinks are really, really good.
Arian Foster
Yeah. Is the pizza like that?
Big Cat
The pizza?
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Because you. You lived in New York for a long time, so French pizza versus New York pizza, which you. What say you?
Big Cat
New York pizza? Without a doubt.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Really?
Big Cat
I don't. Yeah. The cheese is really good. The meat's really good. Some. I had some amazing ducks, some great beef, some really good pasta, cream sauces. Didn't have much. Really good French pizza, though. The bread, awesome. Wine, very good.
Arian Foster
Yeah. So I swear, like, if I go there, there's nothing really drawing me to like France. So I'm trying to think of all the tropes. Not the tropes. Think of all the. The advertising that people do for France and seeing if it's appealing to me, I don't know.
Big Cat
Really good museums.
Arian Foster
Yeah. I don't know that I'm a museum guy.
Big Cat
I'm not a huge museum guy, but I. You'd be impressed with some of the stuff they have over there. I didn't like. I didn't like the Louvre. That's their, like, very famous art museum.
Arian Foster
Right.
Big Cat
Didn't think that that was very good. But I went to. I mean, obviously there's like, very important pieces of art in there, but I. I didn't love it. But there's other museums that are just as good, if not better.
Arian Foster
I think I would have to enjoy. To enjoy a museum, I have to have somebody who really knows the. And to maybe explain it to me, because just walking around, I don't think I'll be. I was like, okay, cool. That's cool. Yeah, man. Or whatever. Yeah. Never been my thing.
Big Cat
I. I highly recommend it, though. You should go.
Arian Foster
You would.
Big Cat
You would enjoy it.
Arian Foster
Put it on the list.
Big Cat
Mad Dog McKenzie. Do we have any voicemails? Let's get some voicemails.

Oh, pause. We have a special guest.
Big Cat
Yo, Big T, what's up?
Big T
Hey, guys, I'm sorry I couldn't make it today. I'm a little busy.
Arian Foster
Yeah, where you at?
Big Cat
What is that, Hawaii?
Big T
Yeah, this is Lanikai, I believe the locals call it.
Big Cat
I love it.
Big T
Yeah.
Big Cat
Are you. Are you pretty much like, all chilled out? You don't want to come back to the mainland ever?
Big T
Oh, I'm local. I'm local. The. The children of the island, I believe we call ourselves.
Big Cat
How amazing is it out there?
Big T
Oh, it's perfect. Let me just. I'll give you a quick.
Arian Foster
We got the. Yeah, there's.
Big T
It's beautiful. It's perfect. It's perfect. But. Yeah, sorry I couldn't make it today. I hope you guys had a good show.
Big Cat
We're having a great time. We do miss you, though. We do miss you. I. I have a fear. Big team.
Big T
Makes sense.
Big Cat
My fear is that you're gonna get so chilled out over in Hawaii that you're not going to have any minor grievances. Once you get back, it's going to give you too much, buddy.
Big T
I almost sent one at 4:00am Hawaii time this morning. And I decided, you know what? This is unbecoming of a child of the island who's on vacation. So I didn't. But Brandon Johnson's really tweeting some stuff right now. So don't worry when, when I get back, there will be plenty. And I look for I'll see you in San Francisco next week. So I'm looking forward to that.
Big Cat
Absolutely. I'll see you there. Go years.
Big T
All right, guys, have a good show.
Arian Foster
Ig, mahalo.
Big T
I may, I may never come back, though. So mahalo. Aloha.
Big Cat
See you, big T. I, I, I do think there's a decent chance that he just gets too chilled out by
Arian Foster
is life come back all liberal?
Big Cat
Yeah, this becomes like a surfer, like mentally.
Arian Foster
Hey, man, you know.
Guest or Producer
Okay, back to the voicemail.
Big Cat
Why are you guys getting upset about taxes? Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, it's not about the money. It's about how much good you do. You know, taxes, taxes, maxes, who cares? It's more to life. Treat people how you want to be treated.
Arian Foster
Yeah.
Big Cat
Oh, are you guys watching the sports ball this weekend? That's cute. I'm gonna go on a hike. You enjoy your college football or whatever you call it.
Guest or Producer
He starts doing this the hang loose.
Big Cat
Yeah, there's some really beautiful lakes around here I'm going to explore in the fall.
Arian Foster
Sign off at the end of the every podcast. Yeah, mahalo.
Guest or Producer
He starts wearing life is good T shirts everywhere.
Arian Foster
Lip flaps.
Guest or Producer
Okay, back to the voicemails.

Mad Dog McKenzie
Yo, what's going on? This is Price from South Carolina. I got a quick question question for you guys, man. So listen, you know, in the mlb, the state of California has what, like five teams? Maybe four now with the Athletics going to Las Vegas or whatever. Listen, I know that California is like the size of, I mean, I don't know, like five countries in Europe. But I mean, I just can't stand the idea of one state having multiple MLB teams outside of like the New York Yankees and Mets. Like, that's whatever. I'm cool with that. But let's say this. Let's say the state of California only had one MLB team. So that gives you three more teams. And then you take one from New York, that's four. So you got four MLB teams that you can move to four states that don't have an MLB team. Which four states are you choosing? And on top of that, Big G, got a question. If MLB moved a team into Nashville, would you stray away from the Atlanta Braves to route Tennessee or would you stick with the Braves? Let me know. Take it easy. God bless. Peace.
Big Cat
That's a really good question. I'm going to answer one for big. Hawaii should have a baseball team.
Arian Foster
Okay, so California one is tough because I feel like Northern California and SoCal are two different places.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
So I, I say, I say you could leave two there. You gotta leave la, it's a staple. And you gotta leave San Francisco.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Then.
Arian Foster
I don't know the pot. This is tough. It's tough. I would like to see. My home state get a baseball team. They would show up for them.
Big Cat
New Mexico.
Arian Foster
Yeah, Send San Diego to New Mexico, man. Players won't like them. Players won't like that. Yeah, but the locals will.
Big Cat
The Arian Foster trade. Arian says it's cool. I think I'll speak for Big T. I'll say Hawaii should have one. That would be fun.
Arian Foster
That would be really dope.
Big Cat
The stadium. Oh man, you build a stadium like next to a volcano, that'd be sick. Let's see
Arian Foster
Iowa.
Big Cat
They should do one at the Field of Dreams match would be a full time baseball team. I know that they play some games there occasionally, but have that be a home stadium.
Arian Foster
That would rock.
Big Cat
Let's see, who else? Indiana. Why doesn't Indiana have any baseball teams like Indianapolis?
Arian Foster
Yeah, that's a good one.
Big Cat
They should have a baseball team. They love sports there. They're trying to take every, every stadium from every state and put it in
Guest or Producer
Indiana in 49 states. It's just baseball.
Big Cat
That's right. Yeah.
Top Step Ad
Give.
Big Cat
Fuck it. Give Indiana team. And then.
Arian Foster
Oh, I got, I got two for you. Utah.
Big Cat
Okay.
Arian Foster
Because I mean think about the Rockies. Have like the best stadium because of the.
Big Cat
Yeah, the oxygen.
Arian Foster
And so Utah has very similar aesthetics to Colorado. Like beautiful landscapes. I think they can make a really dope. And Utah. Every time I've been there, it's been really fun. Like, I've had. I've had. I've had a really good time. The other one's Louisiana.
Big Cat
Okay.
Arian Foster
Louisiana would be a dope place to
Guest or Producer
have some baseball that'd be hot as hell during the summer.
Big Cat
Yes, it would probably have to do a dome.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Indoor.
Arian Foster
Gotta do a dome.
Top Step Ad
Yeah.
Big Cat
And then North Carolina.
Arian Foster
I like. I like that one.
Big Cat
North Carolina should have a team too. North Carolina's just a great state.
Arian Foster
I like that. I'm trying to get out there. There's this dude that make these hats, you know, because I'm changing my wardrobe, right? So. So the hat game gonna change too. So let's go. I'm gonna have one of those nice. Like. I don't know what they called, but let me see what they call.
Big Cat
You know what they call what hats
Arian Foster
are we talking about? No, yeah, you're right. That was. That was not good by me. I apologize. I don't.
Big Cat
I don't know what they call.
Arian Foster
So I don't know what to say. So, like, this. Put in a group chat.
Big Cat
Fishing hats, wide brim hats, bucket hat.
Arian Foster
No, it's like, check, check the group.
Big Cat
Okay.
Mad Dog McKenzie
It's.
Arian Foster
I don't know how to explain it. It's like these special, like very well made, custom, and you can like bend them to like, to be like a fedora type style or like a cowboy type style. But you could.
Guest or Producer
They like shape them like wide brim hat.
Arian Foster
That wide brim hat.
Mad Dog McKenzie
There you go.
Arian Foster
We'll call it that. But he does like custom joints and he's in North Carolina. I'm thinking about making my way down there.
Guest or Producer
I'd be careful. Arian, I don't know if you can. I don't know if we can have you be a fedora guy.
Arian Foster
It's not gonna be fedora. It's gonna be like a wider brim.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Love Island Expert
I mean, you live in Houston.
Guest or Producer
Yeah.
Love Island Expert
You can do cowboy.
Guest or Producer
You can do a cowboy hat.
Arian Foster
I. I think I'm gonna get a cowboy hat.
Guest or Producer
Really?
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
But like those though, like, not like the, like a straw hard. Yeah, yeah, not like a straw hard one. It's gonna be like one of them. Like.
Big Cat
Do they call these Panama style hats?
Arian Foster
I don't know what they call those, man, but they're cold.
Big Cat
Yeah, these are some nice hats. You could pull off a cool hat.
Arian Foster
That's what I'm saying he make these ones with. He has his one where it's a blue paisley. I'm a hard.
Big Cat
I like that you're just reinventing yourself.
Arian Foster
It's new. It's we 40 now, dog. You know, we 40 now dog. It's time to embrace adulthood. You know, I've Nike flip flopped and Nike sweatsuited my way all the way up into my 30s. It's time to check out of that man. You know, I want to smell like Giorgio Armano and look like him too.
Big Cat
It look like an adult.
Arian Foster
Yeah, yeah. It's time.
Big Cat
All right.
Arian Foster
So it's going to. The process is going to be like six months. The full transformation to get all my old shit out my closet into the new. Well, I'm embracing my unc.
Big Cat
I love it.
Lucky One Sweet Tea Ad

Mad Dog McKenzie
Hey, what's up Macrodosian crew? This is Paulie from Boston. I have a question for the, for the team today with, you know, football coming up in, you know, month or two. Just can't wait. But what advice would you have for someone who wants to adopt a college football team? I went to a small college on the north shore of Boston and you know, I love, love football as much as the next guy. I love college football, but there's just not like I just need something that, you know, can get me up on a Saturday morning for a rivalry game or something like that. So just wondering if you have advice on adopting a team. Thanks.
Big Cat
Yeah, Adopting a college football team. I think yeah, you could just go with one that's local, like the closest one to you right now that, that it might not even be a local team too right now. It might be a team that their fans take over a bar that's very close to your house every weekend. Just be like, fuck it, I'm going to root, I'm going to root for that team. The Good thing is there's no police. There might be some people that are just going to be like, oh, well, that's kind of weird that you just picked this team to start rooting for in your 20s or 30s.
Arian Foster
That's how we got to the brewers, baby.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
I love it.
Big Cat
If you commit to it and you're really about it, you. That's the thing, though, is you have
Arian Foster
to commit, gotta commit. That's the biggest thing. Committed, I would say, how I pick my brewers, it was just the vibes thing. I looked at their logo, I looked at the aesthetics. I like the uniforms. It's just the feels thing.
Mad Dog McKenzie
It's just.
Arian Foster
You feel it. It's just, you know, what, what's his name? What's this guy's name?
Big Cat
I forget his name. Caller, caller, caller.
Arian Foster
You'll feel. You'll know it when you. It's like being in love. You'll know it when you see it. When I saw that little M and that B looking like that little mitt, a little baseball inside there, I just knew it. You'll know it when you see it.
Big Cat
Yep.
Love Island Expert
Or maybe there's like a specific player that you want to follow that you like. Like whatever team they're on. If any of your family members have a team.
Big Cat
Yeah. Or like somebody from your hometown goes to school there.
Love Island Expert
Yeah. That you can like, maybe visit at a certain point.
Guest or Producer
This may be a bad word of advice. Can you just pick, like a really good team and that they say really good. You could like, can you just pick a blue blood program and be like, I'm going to lsu. Seems like the bandwagon to get on this year. Can you just do that?
Big Cat
You could. You could pick lsu. Yeah. There will be people that make comments that are like, oh, you don't have any connection whatsoever to the team. But whatever, fuck them.
Love Island Expert
Yeah.
Big Cat
I mean, if you really.
Love Island Expert
I'm a Notre Dame fan.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
If you really commit to it, if you really love it, then go for it.
Love Island Expert
Ain't no reason for that.
Arian Foster
It's been. It's. It's been. A matter of fact, I think this is.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Cause as an adult, I don't have a favorite football team and I root for the Lakers all the time. But the. My Brewer pick has been my funnest fandom as an adult because it was like, it was a conscious choice. A lot of times when we like rt. Like, I like the Lakers. Cause my dad liked it. You know what I'm saying? Kind of like grandfathered in type of vibes. But, like, I Made this choice. You know, this is me. This is for me. So I've had a lot of fun with my, with my pick or if
Guest or Producer
you listen to this podcast, be a volunteer fan.
Big Cat
That's true. Yeah.
Arian Foster
There you go, Manny.
Big Cat
I'm going to speak for Big T and say you're welcome to root for the Tennessee Volunteers. Also, you get a great color scheme that you get to wear. That's a big, big part of it. You get a fun fan base. You get representation and throughout the media, including from Big T. You can ride or die with, with Big T's emotions. I would say, I would say go for it. If you want to be a Tennessee Volunteer fan or a James Madison Dukes fan, you can do either one.
Arian Foster
My.
Big Cat
I would probably suggest maybe Tennessee though.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Big Cat
You know, you don't, you know, more games on tv.
Arian Foster
You want to do that. You want to be able to catch your team.
Big Cat
Well, I mean, listen, J news games are on tv.
Arian Foster
Yeah. You had one of my all time favorite barstool moments.
Big Cat
Oh, they shut the upper to shut
Arian Foster
the up was so funny.
Big Cat
I think I need to shut the up.
Arian Foster
Shut the up.
Big Cat
I mean, listen, Aaron, you can, you can make your little, little jokes about not being able to watch my team. We did win a college football playoff game kind of against the spread. Yeah, we made it to the College Football Playoff.
Arian Foster
That's true.
Big Cat
So there's that.
Arian Foster
Congrats.
Big Cat
Tied with Tennessee on college Football playoff appearances. Don't fact check that. I'm not sure if they've made it twice. So just no fact checking, please. They're purple, aren't they, Jamie? Yeah, yeah, purple and gold.
Arian Foster
I fuck with purple. That's my favorite color.
Big Cat
Yeah, it's an easy transition if you want to just. Guys like me want to also pretend to be an LSU fan occasionally.
Mad Dog McKenzie
There you go.
Big Cat
Yeah, we got another voicemail.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Hey guys, James from Jersey here. Now that everyone's got World cup fever. Saw a question going around online. Help out, help out those that might not be as footy inclined, everyone else or as other people. What college football program would be the best comparison to if the United States ever won a World Cup? And one of the more popular themes being talked about was Indiana. I agree with that 100%. It's pretty good. I actually thought it was closer to EFT's alma mater of JMU. And that's no knock on JMU at all. I'm interested to hear your guys take.
Big Cat
I've got a take that I'm working on. I'm going to unveil it fully on Thursday on Wake Up Barstool because I want to be on the video board playing the highlights and like circling shit to show why I think this. But I would say Indiana is not far off. It'd be more just like new age Big Ten football. We're, we're playing advanced Big Ten football right now on the national level. And some might hear like, Big Ten football and think, oh, what do you mean? Like boring ass. Like, no points, just like punting, running the football. That's why I said like advanced, Yes, a little bit boring. Emphasis on punting and field position. But also like, we've adapted. I would say actually that one of the cleanest comparisons I think might be Penn State because, like, we've played in, we've been pretty good in our conference for a while, but every time we play a real team, they kick the shit out of us. And that's kind of what Penn State football has been up to for the last, what, 20 years?
Arian Foster
Yeah. Ever since the debacle, there's always like,
Big Cat
there's expectations of being really, really good, but then you just kind of keep bumping your head against the ceiling. Indiana, I could see that. Especially if we. First of all, we'd have to win the World cup to be a fair comparison to Indiana and what they've done. But we have turned. It looks like we've turned things around at least, at least for this year. I would say, like, maybe Penn State football. I could see the JMU argument, though, but that's also saying that the Sun Belt would be like North America and the qualifying, which I think that USA and Mexico. You could make the argument that USA Mexico, it's a top three rivalry in soccer, in international soccer. I don't know that you'd say that about JMU app State.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Are we.
Big Cat
Another voicemail.
Arian Foster
Cool, cool, cool.
Big Cat
Well, what else are we up to this week? You guys got any plans?
Arian Foster
I don't. My. I got my, my little ones for the summer. So they asked me to go D1 and I said if you want to go D1, there's a, there's a way to do it, but it ain't going to be fun. So we got up this morning and we trained, letting them rest now. We're going to train later on tonight. So it's two days. So I'm in two days, full time trainer daddy mode.
Big Cat
Oh, shit.
Arian Foster
Yeah.
Big Cat
What was the morning workout where I was light.
Arian Foster
So I'm just introducing them to resistance training. So I don't want them to get like bulky Right. They are doing a lot of like, resistance explosion stuff. So we was in the weight room doing some. Some squat jumps, some single leg explosion things. And it's really just. I'm getting them in the routine of two days this first week, and then next week I'm gonna break their ass. Yeah.
Big Cat
I love it.
Lucky One Sweet Tea Ad
I love it.
Arian Foster
Yeah.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
They gonna hate me next week. They gonna hate me.
Big Cat
That's how you do it.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yep.
Arian Foster
It ain't easy.
Big Cat
This is how you go D1. Is it easy for you to jump back into it?
Arian Foster
I'm not doing what they doing. I'll do like a little light work on the side. You know what I'm saying? Just getting up. But it's good for me because I gotta teach them how to eat right. I gotta teach them no sodas, no bullshit. So now we're all eating clean. And that's good for me from that standpoint where it's like, yeah, I could have, you know, used me a little cleanup, couple months of, of eating good and getting back into exercising pretty regularly. So that's been good from that aspect.
Big Cat
But you're gonna be staying there, supervising.
Arian Foster
Yeah, I supervise. I show them how. But I get. I get a small workout in every now and then. But it's been really dope seeing because to train at that level, to get to the next level, which is for them, D1, and then pros, if they want to do that, they can't. If they can, it's. There's a certain mindset you have to have. And when you're tired, as I trained myself for years, you know, you know how you, if you've ever exercised, you have that little voice in your head that tells you to stop. Like, like, it's calm. Let's just get a little bit of rest. Right? You negotiate with yourself and you. And as a professional athlete, you train yourself to shut him the fuck up. And it's. It's interesting seeing that them go through that.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Like.
Arian Foster
And so their, their voice in their head is always telling them to stop. And I'm. I have to tell them, you. There's a threshold you have to push through in order to get to the next level. And it's. My dad did that for me. And it's come full circle, me doing that for them. It's really dope to, to see how
Big Cat
do you know when to listen to that little voice
Arian Foster
that, that, that comes with knowing your body right? Like, so part of training, it's like understanding the dynamics of how your body works and how it feels Certain things feel how they feel. So over the years, you start to develop, Okay, I need to shut it down. I'm about to get injured or something. Something's really wrong. Something's hurt.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Right.
Arian Foster
It's just. It's just a feel. But the majority of what you feel is like, so lactic acid buildup.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Right.
Arian Foster
That tightness you feel when you.
Mad Dog McKenzie
When you. When you.
Arian Foster
When you run too much or feels like you run too much, you can push through that. It's just a. It's just a field thing. But the majority of it is like wind. It's like you're out of breath.
Big Cat
Yeah.
Arian Foster
You got to teach yourself how to breathe while you run. Teach yourself how to breathe while you do things that are uncomfortable, and then it becomes second nature. And that's what training is.
Big Cat
That's great. That's great.
Arian Foster
And it's.
Big Cat
It's cool. Like, I'm sure senior kids, like, develop that toughness.
Arian Foster
Yep.
Big Cat
It's pretty cool to see.
Mad Dog McKenzie
Yeah.
Arian Foster
Because it's also. It translates to life. So, like, if you don't. If you got to do a job you don't want to do or, you know, there's certain aspects of your work that you don't want to do. Pushing through mentally and getting through. That's why a lot of people hire ex athletes in the workforce. Because pushing through and doing that you don't want to do is a skill set that you train.
Big Cat
Yeah. Well, that's awesome. Get them D1. Get some scholarships.
Arian Foster
Yeah, I would love that. That way you gotta pay all that money to tuition.
Big Cat
So what. What time is. Is afternoon practice?
Arian Foster
7. 7pm we in the gym, so.
Big Cat
And how early in the morning.
Arian Foster
So we start. We in there at 6:00am yeah.
Big Cat
Yeah. It's no joke.
Arian Foster
Yeah, we start at 6:00am yeah. And it is. It's very extreme. Like, it. This is not easy. And that's why I told him. I said, y' all asked for this. I didn't. I don't want you to be nothing. I want you to be happy. But you want to do this. There's a way to do this.
Mad Dog McKenzie
And.
Arian Foster
And part of it, a lot of it is just like, just trying to break them. Just trying to see what they. What they make of. Because that's. That's what it. That's what sports is, dog. It's a whole bunch of testing. You gotta drop your nuts and you gotta go like, it ain't no way. That's why I told him this morning, I am not your mama's. I am not. I Don't feel sorry for you. Finish, finish.
Big Cat
Yeah. Messi, by the way, just scored an awesome goal to set their all time record.
Arian Foster
I was supposed to be watching it.
Big Cat
So he set the all time record for World cup goals. He missed. He missed a penalty kick earlier in the game.
Arian Foster
I blame you, dog.
Big Cat
And then. And then scored this one. It was a great goal.
Arian Foster
Wow. Now I'm gonna have to see it on Twitter. I was supposed to watch it, bro. Yeah. He just scored the goat, huh?
Big Cat
All right, well, thank you for listening. We will be back on Thursday with more macrodosing. We'll get other people around the office involved in Big T's absence. You miss him. He's getting laid right now. Get it, get it.
Arian Foster
Hawaii. Hawaii.
Big Cat
Honeymoon joke. I had to do it one time, too, Big T. He will not be back on Thursday. I can't imagine that he's going to make this a daily thing where he's going to zoom back in this. But it was good to see him today. We hope he has a great time. I will be seeing him next week in San Francisco for the World Cup. All right, so we love you guys and we will see you on Thursday, Sam.
