Imagine standing at the edge of an open plane door, 13,000 feet up. Your heart is pounding, and your mind is screaming 'stop.' Most people live their entire lives in that state of 'mental paralysis'—but they’re sitting on their couch. If you’re trapped in a loop of overthinking, you’re essentially free-falling without a parachute.

Imagine standing at the edge of an open plane door, 13,000ft in the air, your heart pounding, your mind screaming, don't do this. Now here's the wild part. Most people live their entire lives in that exact same state of mental paralysis, but instead of a wing of a plane, they're just simply sitting on their couch. Hmm. Have you noticed that the world that we live in has been doing most of the thinking for you? That your beliefs, perceptions, reactions, fears and doubts have been shaped by unsolicited outside noise? How easy it's been for you to slip into that default sleepwalking mode and label it as life and reality? Yeah, that ends here. Welcome to the make sense with Dr. JC podcast. This is your opportunity to start thinking for yourself, reclaim control, and step back into that role as the shock caller and dominant force of your own reality. It's when you change the way that you look at things that the things that you look at begin to change. So let's wake up, let's rise up, and let's make sense of why and how shift happens.
Stephen Linton
Makes sense.
Dr. JC
Here's what I like about you, Stephen Linton. You're not coming from the typical motivational angle. Like so many, you've lived in environments where hesitation has consequences. Combat aviation. Jumping out of planes 17,000 times. That's not theory. Those are reps. And what really stands out to me is that you've taken something that a lot of people would label as woo woo, this idea of frequency, and you've grounded it into something more real with physics, repetition, and pattern. It's not just positive thinking. It's what we are consistently broadcasting and reinforcing, and I love that. And I think that's why your message lands differently, because it's built under pressure, which most people avoid. This is what I like about you, Stephen Linton, and this is why we've invited you to be on the make sense with Dr. JC podcast. Welcome to the Dragon Slayer. Stephen Linton.
Stephen Linton
Hey, man, I'm excited to be here. I'm looking forward to it. And let's get into it.
Dr. JC
If you could start off by take me to that moment where life was, you know, what did life actually look like for you back then? And more importantly, like, what was going on in your mind and how did you have some sort of an awakening and direction?
Stephen Linton
Well, that's a great question. I love telling the story because I get this all the time. You know, I came out of college. Well, I got out of the Marine Corps, decided to go to college, wanted to be a pilot. So did the whole four years. And after Mass, my bachelor's graduation, four days later, I started my master's degree in aviation safety. I just thought that was a really good step for me to get either to the airlines or whatever my, you know, aviation career, what, whatever direction it was going to take me, like it out of, out of college after my master's degree. And none of the airlines were hiring. Only the guys from the military that were pilots were getting jobs at the airlines. Well, that wasn't good because I got out of college, I've spent all this money on all my flight ratings, and all of a sudden I don't know where to go for a job. So I ended up taking a job flying skydivers at a little Podunk airport in Missouri because that was the only job I could get. And one of the things that was cool about that was I always wanted to skydive. It was something I always wanted to do. So one day I came to work, it was raining, and the. The boss said, hey, why don't you go sit through the first jump course? I'm like, yeah, that'd be awesome. I ended up getting my license for free later in the season, you know, things slowed down, ended up moving somewhere to get a job as a flight instructor because again, that was all I could get. Well, it got to the point where I was sleeping in my car because I didn't have any money and couldn't get a job anywhere. It got a little scary. I mean, I. There was a couple times I was digging through places you don't Want to dig through for something, but met a guy a few months later that placed an ad in a classified newspaper and it said, work from home, earn thousands weekly. And I thought I might as well give it a shot. So I ended up connecting with this guy and he introduced me to personal development. And we later went on and actually started our own company in Scottsdale. And that company went on to be very successful, which is what launched my journey from where I was to where I am. Had I not gone through that, I for a fact would not be where I am today. We started that network marketing company and I did very, very well. Was just fortunate enough to have a lot of success, which spawned my first book, how I made six figures in One Month. Which led me to speaking and training, which I instantly recognized I was passionate about. You know, fast forward now my third book is about to come out. But the whole journey was due to my engrossment in personal development. Just buried myself in personal development and realize that this stuff really works. I mean this is simple law of physics, like frequencies attract, which is where the book came from.
Dr. JC
You know, this is such a fascinating. I've heard so many stories, you know, just spectacular stories. It shows a big void. It's something that I'm very passionate about because when I look at the personal growth industry, in large part it thrives off of people that are a little bit of a hot mess, you know, I mean, otherwise they wouldn't need it. You know, if you were personally grown, you wouldn't need personal growth. No, I think that the flaw in the industry, which is highlighted by what you just said, is that it needs to be taught in the box that I call school, you know, kids.
Stephen Linton
Exactly.
Dr. JC
If I had a conversation with Tony Robbins, I'd say, I love your stuff, dude, but it needs to be taught to six year olds so they don't need you later. They use you to continue the climb. I love that. So I can't, I can't imagine, you know, what that was like. I've had my, my own experiences like that, you know, I'll send you a copy of my book, you'll see how I got introduced to personal growth. So I've heard you talk about something that I think a lot of people are going to resonate with, called the why me trap or the why me loop. So at the time, you know, when people are kind of saying why me? And they think that the world is happening to them, it feels justified, you know, it actually, it almost is like a dopamine hit to complain. Looking back. It just keeps people stuck. So what shifted for you? Because, you know, you kind of brushed over that. You know, this time you were in your car and you're eating out of dumpsters or something like that. But was there like a moment? Was it when you met this guy, or was there something else going on? Because we're going to get into frequency here. So I would assume you were tapped into this frequency before you even knew it was a frequency. So was there like a moment or an event or a person, maybe that guy that disrupted this pattern of the wimey?
Stephen Linton
Yes. And it was that gentleman. It was the gentleman that placed the ad that answered the call. And I will tell you, I was in that why me? Stage for a long time. And not just there, but I was there with a lot of anger. And I was angry because I spent all this money on student loans. I didn't have it. I took out student loans to go to college. I did what I was supposed to do. I was told this. Go to college. So I did all that. I graduated. First person in my family got a master's degree. I get out and I can't get a job. I'm pissed. I'm looking around, seeing people driving these nice cars, living in nice homes. I'm like, why me? What's wrong with me? And the conversation shifted after I spoke with the gentleman that placed the ad. His name was Brent. And he. Brent said to me, you know what your problem is? And I said, what? He says, it's your attitude. He said, you're blaming everybody else. It's. It's all right here. It's in. People look outward for solutions and change. But in reality, you got to go in. It's all in here. It's. It's the frequency thing we talked about. We'll get into that. But he was the reason that I sat up and said, all right, let me give this stuff a chance. Because I actually thought the whole personal development thing was a little foo foo, you know? Yes, I'm too manly for that. But then one day I woke up and I said, you know what? Things are clearly not working for me the way I'm doing them. Why don't I give this guy a chance? Why don't I give this stuff a chance? I did. And I'm not going to say overnight, but very quickly, I saw changes. But then Brent took me to a Bob Proctor event, and Bob Proctor was my very first true mentor. And I read Think and Grow Rich numerous times. Because I'm sure everybody that knows about Think and grow rich. It's not an easy read. It takes. It's. It takes a few. It took me three or four times to really get the meat out of it, but those were the people that that really turned. Helped me turn the corner for solving my own issues.
Dr. JC
I came up with a concept that I spoke about in my book called the Omen. Frequency. I started to notice when I was in frequency, in signal, things would happen more often. I realized that things like success, things like synchronicities, and things like all this magic that happens in the world, it's not like they're somewhere else. They're always here in this space. You know, whatever we want to call it, they're always here. It's just a matter of whether or not we're tapped into it. So I would love to hear a little bit more about that and what it is that you recommend people do or what you've found to be most successful at tapping into that which is already there.
Stephen Linton
And you just hit the nail on the head. I love when you said, you know, every is what I tell people. All the success, all the wealth, all the everything that you could ever want in your life is already here. It's already within you. You just have to raise your vibration to a level where you can now physically produce that in reality, where it becomes physically aware to you. The Wright brothers didn't invent flying. They simply figured out how to arrange things in the proper order for the airplane to actually fly. So what that tells me is that again, all the success that you could ever want or ever need is already here. It's within you. You just have to make yourself aware of it. And. And that's raising your vibration. When you talk about synchronicity, in my opinion, that's like a byproduct of your. Your frequency. Because when you raise your frequency to the level where you're attracting the things that you want to attract, synchronicity is automatic because everything flows. We get into flow instead of, you know, cruising around with the brakes on. I'm scared. Oh, don't. When you're in flow, things just flow. That's why they call it flow. And I, you know, I tell people that. That your subconscious mind is what controls all of this. Your subconscious mind is amazing because it doesn't know the difference between truth and a lie. It's bad. And good. It's good because you can now tell your subconscious mind a lie that you're wealthy. And if you do it correctly and use emotion and affirmations, visualizations and you do it consistently, your subconscious mind will start to get, this is my new reality. Well, what happens then? Well, then your subconscious mind creates the things and puts them in your path for that to actually become a physical reality. The downside of it is you can tell yourself, I'm not good enough for this, I suck. I'm not enough, I'm not pretty enough. You can tell yourself all that stuff and your subconscious mind will give you more than enough evidence to prove it to yourself that you're right. So it doesn't matter whether you think you can, you can't, you, you are or you aren't, you're right. Your subconscious mind controls everything. And so when I talk about raising your vibration, one of the things we're doing is we're giving information to our subconscious mind in a way that your subconscious mind takes that as its new reality. That is the key. And that's how things start, attract, you start attracting those results in your life.
Dr. JC
I think you, you said frequency is essentially physics plus pattern. And what I took from that is that that means that we repeatedly think, feel, and all, all of the greats from personal growth, you know, be, do have, you know, one of my favorite tenants is it's who you are that determines how well what you do works. That's what I love about personal growth is like, it's not about creating something new. It's about putting it in words that make it make sense. So would you say, because everybody that listens to this is going to be like, that's great, you know, another guy telling me exactly what I already knew that I can't figure out, figure out how to execute. So would you say that most people, I always say that people aren't stuck because they're not capable. I say they, they're stuck because they're, they're scattered and they don't have clarity. So in our environment we always say clarity before action is a good step. But would you say that people aren't stuck because of their circumstances, but more so they're stuck because of the patterns that they're reinforcing every day? How do people identify where they're stuck and how do they get unstuck?
Stephen Linton
This is, is a, I'm gonna shorten this answer as much as I can because there's a lot going on here. Here's the thing. People are stuck for several reasons. One, because they refuse to accept responsibility, that if it's meant to be, it's up to me. Every person is, has ultimate control of their destiny, period. But there's a few things that come into play here that keep people stuck. It's not because they don't know or they don't want to, but they get hung up on things like fear and limiting beliefs. And this is why I use skydiving and flying and some other stuff in a lot of my training, because the parallels are so similar. I used to do a. When we had the network marketing company, we used to do a face your fear exercise every year. And we would take, I think we were doing 150 or so people every year, taking them on their first skydive. People that have never jumped before. And it was voluntary. I mean, it was forced to do it. But if you wanted to do this. And this is one of the most powerful exercises anybody can do, because if you have a fear of something that is so great that you think you're gonna die, when you get down to the bottom after you're done and you realize it was nothing like you thought, you start looking at your life and you go, wow, if I just conquered, what else could I conquer right in my life? It. The fear comes from lack of information and misinformation. People are afraid of flying because they don't understand what keeps that airplane in the air. How do planes not collide? Blah, blah, blah. Skydiving. How does somebody jump out of an airplane at 10 or 14 or 20,000ft and not die? Because they don't understand how everything works. So they've built up this fear based on incorrect information. So one of the things that helps people get by this is learning the correct information. And by taking them on a skydive, what they realize is that they've built up this story in their mind of what it's going to be like, oh, my God, I'm going to feel like I'm falling, and the ground is going to rush up at me, and I'm going to die. None of that is true. None of it. When you jump out of an airplane, the airplane's already going 100 miles an hour. You're only going to fall at 120. So when you get out, you're just going to pick up a little bit of speed. There's no stomach in your throat. There's no ground rush because the ground is too far away. They get on the ground, they go, that was amazing. I can't believe I was afraid of that. And that's where the shift happens. Now, the other thing that people get hung up on is limiting beliefs. And this is something that is given to people by the people around them, usually, that are trying to protect them. And those limiting beliefs sometimes go like this. Oh, don't try that, because that's never going to work. Oh, you'll get hurt. Don't do that. Those things never work. Oh, that's stupid. Why don't you go get a real job? This is one of the big ones in network marketing, and I want to touch on that, because as you said a little bit ago, it's very. Personal development is very big in network marketing. Well, why do you think that is? Because all the successful people are doing it. And that's the big key to having success, is you gotta be doing personal development. And so these people get input from their parents, their peers, their teachers, their friends, all the people that are trying to protect them. Oh, no, no, don't do that. Those things never work. Those are limiting beliefs that have to be either eliminated, reprogrammed, or something. Because if you keep those, you're never going to attract the things that you want in your life. So your question is a great question, but there's a lot of reasons that people are staying stuck, and those are just a couple.

Dr. JC
When people ask me, I remember because in network marketing, a big component of it is, you know, bringing on business partners and things like that. And I used to just. I knew how wonderful my life was as a result of it, but I still had to somehow explain to people that it would be something for them to entertain, you know, as. Because even though their life completely sucked, they would still be like, well, I don't know about this, you know? And I would say if you're interested in making more money, working less, having time, freedom, and basically learning how to become successful, then you should check it out. But if all that stuff's not interesting, it's definitely not right for you. I used to have so much fun with that because it's so true. That's some really good shift that you just shared. One of the things that I see as a challenge there, you know, somebody hears this. Once again, I don't think people struggle with knowing. I always say learning and knowing is nothing more than a distraction in the absence of action. And what I mean by that is if somebody's listening to Stephen share this stuff and you're like, oh, my God, great breakthrough. And then you're going to walk around saying, I know what Steve knows, but you don't take action. You've just wasted time. You're with us today. You might as well just go drink beer and have fun, you know, with your time. I mean, I'm serious about that, too. But you said something that indicates that learning can't just be done from listening to a podcast. It's got to be done through experience. You know, like, that's the thing about learning is you people think they have to get ready before they do something. But usually, like skydiving, they learn it along the way. The idea of volunteering for emotional impact. So let's use skydiving, because that's. That's in your wheelhouse. When somebody's in a phase of contemplation, you know, they're logically and rationally saying, it's not safe. It doesn't seem like a good idea. How do you sell somebody on the idea of volunteering for emotional impact?
Stephen Linton
That's a great Question. I love this because as a videographer, I got paid from doing skydiving videos and I had to sell them myself. So I see this all the time. People come in scared to death. And again, I did a video for a woman who came out and I think her husband was surprising her and she didn't know. And I'll tell you what, she came into the, to the hangar where we all pack shoots and get ready for jumps, and she started cussing, oh, no, you're crazy. I'm not going on any damn airplane. I'm not jumping out of this. And jumping out, she was just a mess. Well, they walked around for a couple hours and she finally got to where she said, okay, I'll do it. But then she came to me and she said, you've got to promise me that I'm going to be okay. And I'm like, look, I've done this thousands of times and I never had anybody have any serious situations doing a tandem or, you know, regular jumper sometimes have issues, but that's a whole nother story. So tandems, extremely safe. Then she's like, well, I don't want to get the video. Well, I have to sell them that too. You're only going to do your first jump one time. And when you go tell all your friends that you just jumped out of an airplane, they're going to be like, yeah, whatever. But if you show them a video, they're going to want to do it too. So that worked really well. But I finally got her to calm down and say, I'll do it. She was still nervous, but she decided, I'll do it. Got an airplane and I do a little video from inside the airplane. And literally on the way up, I could see tears coming down her face as she looked out the window. And I felt bad for her, but I knew what was about to happen, right? So she slides down the bench and, and I, I said, are you ready to skydive? And she's kind of lights around, nobody's home, same thing. This is the most common situation. Ten seconds after they leave the airplane, that fear, all that fear melts away to this big grin. She's like, this is great. Got on the ground, same thing. That was amazing. I can't believe I was scared of that. But it's really about just helping people find the comfort in knowing that everything's gonna be okay. In all the times, thousands of first time skydives that I've filmed for people, I think I've only seen two people not jump, meaning they Rode the airplane up and rode the airplane down out of all of them. So it's just a matter of getting them past that threshold of pain or fear that they've created in their head. And you know, every person is different, but basically selling them on the idea that you're going to be amazing. And it works.
Dr. JC
You know, in my intro I was explaining, you know, I kind of was selling the idea that we're about to meet a guy that has stepped out on the wing of a plane and jumped 17, 000 times and faced fear and everything and at the same time recognize that we live in a world where people are experiencing that same fear sitting on their couch. So fear is real. And what I would assume you'd agree to, and I can attest myself is like fear has never gone away. I've just created a different relationship with it. I don't front of speeding cars and, and things like that. But I, I'm an extreme skier, so that's what brought me to skydiving. But I think that it's not even the danger, it's just, I think people are, their nervous systems are just completely a mess. What I'd love to do now is I just want to recognize something and, and I know that you have this cool system I want to talk about. What is it called? Uda. The Ooda Loop. It seems to me in my ecosystem I teach something called the Interface Response system. And it's a four step process to kind of do a turnaround, to change the way you look at things and reframe and reclaim control your experience. And the first step, and I think you've hit on this, is just, it's called perceive. It's just knowing that the way you're looking at things right now is potentially faulty. That's what's important is people have to not trust that the way that they're looking at things is the end. All with an exclamation point. But it sounds like what you're talking about is what we call the second phase, and that is the pause. So I'm hearing that most people never really pause enough, which is different than personal growth has taught us. I find that certainty can be a big, big problem. I like to revel in uncertainty. You know, this hat that I wear that says it stands for haven't made up my mind. You know, I love to not know and because the second I know that I close myself off to what else is there? So talk a little bit about that. You know, are just people in like this same pattern where they're just buying into their fears. Because I would assume you have fears, but you just have a different relationship with it. Some people move towards fear because they seek growth. But are you seeing that people have a pattern where they're just not allowing themselves to even entertain alternative?
Stephen Linton
Absolutely, yes, absolutely. And, and I call that. It's living in the box, living with certainty. Your, your feeling of certainty is because you're in the box, you need to be outside the box. And the directions for getting out of the box are written on the outside of the box. People, they want certainty and they want security. And unlike you, fear, it's never going away. You don't conquer fear. You learn to coexist. I'm going to go back to just one thing about the skydiving. We talk about raising vibration. How do you do that? Well, there's a lot of ways and it's different for everybody. But let me tell you one thing that worked really well for me. There's two things that I'm supremely confident in. Well, there's more, but those two things are flying and skydiving. Anytime I'm flying airplanes, and I've been a pilot for 32 years professionally, and you know, I've got 16,500 hours flight time, which just means that I've had a lot of experiences. And when I finish a mission and I've had to deal with weather and delays and holds and anything that would be out of the ordinary and everything goes smoothly, which it does, I come down and I have this supreme confidence within me. And it's because I know that I'm really good at what I do. The same thing with skydiving. When I done skydiving, I can talk about those two things with the confidence that nobody would ever question. But if you asked me to talk about something else, it probably wouldn't come out that way. But what that shows is that if you want to raise your vibration, you've got to find something to help you feel like you're the bomb. And in my opinion, combining several things like affirmations, visualizations, whatever those things are for you that help you raise your vibration, that's going to get you to that point. So for me, when they say when a woman dresses up, puts on high heels, it changes her posture, it changes her self confidence, the same thing goes for everybody. You've got to find out what dressing up is for you. What is it that makes you feel like you're the best at what you do, even if you're not. You've Got to find out what that is. You're good at something. Start building off of that. If you're really good at one thing, start taking the qualities of yourself as that person and transferring them into the other areas of your life. And that's how we're going to raise the frequency. So back to your other question. I think people get stuck in fear and certainty, and then they can never get out of the box. Once you're out of the box, you're out of the box. And you can just say, you know what? This stuff really works, and practicing it and using the techniques. Nothing comes easy. You're not just going to read a book. I want to come back to one thing you said about Bob Proctor. The secret came out and everybody raved about the secret. But the problem with the secret, it lacked one critical element, and that's action. I can sit here in this room and say, oh, it's really cold in here. And in fact, Bob Proctor shared this with me. He said, you know, I could sit here in this room and say, it's really cold, and I can focus on it getting warmer, and I could think about it. I can see it getting warmer, but until I get off my butt and go turn the thermostat up, it's not going to get any warmer. You have to have the action.
Dr. JC
You talk a lot about kind of the overthinking loop. I think people all understand what overthinking is. Also this acronym called the OODA loop. It looks to me like that's a strategy to implement and break free from things. So explain a little bit what that's a.
Stephen Linton
You know, a lot of people probably not even familiar with the OODA loop. It's very common in the military, it's common in emergency services, things like that. I do a lot of training on the range, and that's where I first heard about it. I actually didn't hear about it through personal development. But OODA is simply. I don't know if I'd call it a strategy more than a formula for deciding what your next step is. And it's simply observe, orient, decide, act. So it's really simple. I think they did that because in the military, maybe as a Marine, you know, we eat crayons, so probably not that smart. But observe. Look at your situation. Observe it. Orient yourself to the situation, to where you can see exactly what's happening and how does that situation affect me right now, and then decide what is the best course of action for that step. And they make it. It's simple. For a reason. Four steps. Observe, orient, decide what to do, what's my best course of action, and then take the action, do it. And I think one of the big problems is even people subconsciously probably go through something similar to OODA where they're looking at a situation, they're observing it, they're thinking about, okay. They decide, well, this could be a good step. But they never act, they never take the action. So for me, OODA is a simple formula that I'm so ingrained in it, it's literally my subconscious does this without me even thinking about it, because it's just. I've been doing it for so long. But for somebody just getting started, just use the simple formula and think when you come on a situation, maybe it's stressing you out, maybe you're. You're not feeling like you're 100% yourself. Just take a pause, do a reset, and think, what is going on here and how is it affecting me right now and what are my options for action to change it?
Dr. JC
You talk about something that I really like, this idea of sub. I think you call them subconscious contracts. This practice of kind of making contracts that you write yourself, not necessarily goals, but like identity statements. Because what I'd love to bring out right now is some of the tools that after all these years of doing what you do, are still in your practice. I'd also like to know, like, a couple of tips that you have in getting yourself in that ready state, maybe your morning routine and stuff. So tell me about these, these contracts that you have with yourself and maybe a couple of tips and tools that, that help you get into the success frequency.
Stephen Linton
And I love contracts. I created my first goal contract back when I wrote the first book, how I Made six figures in One month. And that was simply a way to. And it's a physical piece of paper, you know, I am so happy and grateful now that I have. And you write out your goal in present tense, but the whole thing is a contract. It's in contract form. You sign it at the bottom with your intent, you put a date on it, and if you flip it over, it's all the fine print that you would see on a contract. It tells you everything that this contract is binding you to, and it's binding you to fulfill your commitment to achieve this goal. So that's one contract. But then the other contract is just who am I going to be? And I don't necessarily do those as a written contract, like the goals, but it's a contract I have with myself.
Commercial Narrator
And.
Stephen Linton
And as far as morning routines, even, how do I get ready every morning? I'll spend 10 minutes reviewing the goals that I have for that day. Or if, you know, I've got goals that are going on, I go through my goals, I go through my affirmations, and I do a short visualization of who I am and where I am. And let me just expand on that for a minute if I want to be. Let's just put it this way. Getting speaking gigs used to be hard. And what I would do is close my eyes and I would visualize myself on a stage with, you know, 500 people or a thousand people and giving this powerful talk. People coming back and saying, thank you so much for what they got out of that. And it's that moment when somebody says, thank you so much, so much for whatever it was that they got out that helped them. That's what drives me, that gives me the passion. So when I do my visualizations, whatever it is, I visualize myself already in achievement, already in attainment of that goal. If it's, you know, to be the CEO of a company, I see myself as that CEO already sitting in the desk, you know, talking to people, how I walk, how I talk, how I interact with people. You know, go back to an example that taught me how to do this. When I first got started in this network marketing opportunity with Brent, we built that from the ground up. And I didn't have a lot of money at first, but we used to love to go ride motorcycles and quads. Well, I wanted a new quad. And I would go down to the dealership almost every day, and I would look at it, I would sit on it. I got them to let me ride it. Because in my mind, I'm taking emotional and physical possession of this thing that I want. And my subconscious mind is now getting, this is his. He owns this. And lo and behold, things start happening, opportunities showing up, and guess what? I ended up getting two of them. First time I bought my. I had bought a E55 Mercedes, same thing. I went and I looked at, I sat and I drove it. But here's the thing. You've got to see yourself already in attainment. You've already. You're already the success level that you want to be. Your subconscious mind has to recognize that in order for it to go to work and put those opportunities in place for you to. To get them and achieve that.
Dr. JC
One final question that I'd love to pose to you is, you know, for the person listening, somebody that's resonating with everything we're saying and they feel capable, but according to them, something is off. If you could leave them with just one final thought or action step of how to tap into the frequency of success and start like moving forward and seeing that it's working, what would you advise them to do?
Stephen Linton
First of all, do something. And I tell people this, look, I'm passionate about what I do. I'm passionate about helping people and I believe in my stuff works because I, it's the reason I'm here. But whatever you do, do something. Find an author, a speaker, a trainer that you vibe with that you like and bury yourself in their information. Here the big thing is do something. Get involved with some kind of personal development. Right now I'm running a five day free five day challenge on the frequency of success dot com. Somebody go in there and you get five days of me training and helping you access these things to get you to where you want to go. And they can get to that by going to frequencyofsuccess.com forward/challenge. It's free. Nobody's gonna bug you for money or anything. You just sign up and, and it starts instantly. But whether it's my information or somebody else's information, do something. Don't just sit there waddling in your sorrow and complaining that my life's not working the way I should. Be more, you got to take action. And you know, my biggest piece of advice is, you know, they say don't just sit there, do something. Even if it's wrong, just do something, take action and you'll start to figure out the right steps. Grab a copy of the book Frequency of Success because it is all laid out in there.
Dr. JC
I would just add to that that doing nothing is a step, but it's not an action step.
Stephen Linton
That's correct. And there is a time when doing nothing is the right thing.
Dr. JC
Right?
Stephen Linton
So you're not reacting. You want to respond, don't react. So you're absolutely right.
Dr. JC
I, and, and I'll also draw the, the funny paradox that when you are an action oriented person, a lot of people won't believe this to be true. But an like a high impact action oriented person has to learn from maybe that listener that's doing nothing, how to do nothing. Maybe you guys could have a seminar.
Stephen Linton
You're right. Each one can learn from the other.
Dr. JC
That's right. That's funny. Well, Stephen, God, there's so many more things that we want to know about you. And you know, I think that this website, what was it called again?
Stephen Linton
The frequencyofsuccess.com forward/challenge.
Dr. JC
Right. And I would assume that they could find your book through that as well.
Stephen Linton
Yes, you can get the book right off the website. It's on Amazon. Frequency of Success.
Dr. JC
Great. And then by, I would assume, signing up for whatever sort of a newsletter or email they'll find out about your new book coming out and. What a. What a. What an interesting conversation. You know, you're. You've just come out of the. What we call the dragon's lair, and you've done great. I like to ask questions that sometimes throw people off, but, you know, you seem to really, really understand your craft. I would assume that 17,000 jumps have gotten you into a position where kind of like Neo now in the Frequency of Success. But we just want to thank you so much for being here.
Stephen Linton
My pleasure. And I'll tell you what, I'll just give you a little sneak peek. The new book is called the Frequency of the Road, and I won't tell you the long story about how it came about, but it. It is taking these principles from Frequency of Success and applying them to combating road rage and aggressive driving. And it's going to be huge. So it'll be out by summer, unfortunately,
Dr. JC
a very necessary book.
Stephen Linton
Yes.
Dr. JC

Date: June 23, 2026
Guest: Stephen Linton (Author, Speaker, Skydiver)
Host: Dr. JC Doornick (“The Dragon”)
This episode explores how Stephen Linton’s extraordinary experiences—most notoriously, his record of over 17,000 skydives—taught him to exit mental paralysis, break the overthinking cycle, and thrive through action. Dr. JC and Stephen dig into the philosophy of personal development, frequency, fear, and practical frameworks for shifting out of stuckness, blending principles from high-risk aviation with actionable tools for everyday life. The conversation is raw, practical, and motivating, appealing to anyone who wants more agency and less anxiety.

—Stephen Linton (15:30)
